I've realized lately that the burger craze has given birth to a lot of burgers that are trying too hard. Teddy's is unpretentious, highly delicious, and one of the best burgers I've had this year. (If not the best!) While dining here this afternoon, I realized that I'd had Teddy's before while on vacation on Oahu, and that made me all the more eager to enjoy a Hawaiian style burger. My girl and I split two: a teri burger with grilled pineapple, and a kilauea burger with BBQ sauce and onion ring. Both were good, but the teri burger was perfection. At the advice of our cashier, we left on the tomato and special sauce, and it was wonderfully juicy, with a great grilled flavor. I love love love that there's a soft bun and not a brioche, and the tater tots that we got really rounded things out. I would have loved to have tried a haupia or pina colada shake, but I was so full I couldn't manage. Looks like I'll have to come back soon!

I started eating Teddy's while stationed in Hawaii, and I fell absolutely in love! The burgers have that fresh taste and the options are amazing! You can imagine the joy I felt when I found them again! Grab lots of napkins! And try GarlicButter cheesy fries. OMG! So amazing!

Wow...this place is amazing, and I have the heartburn to prove it! An acquaintance of mine repeatedly told me how great Teddy's was, how it originated in Honolulu, and how it was the best burger she's ever had. I had never heard of it, and I have Hawaiian background, so I forgot about it for awhile. I had the opportunity to stop in here for lunch, and man, she wasn't wrong AT ALL. My first impression is that the employees are super friendly and helpful. The shift lead, Risa, was very knowledgeable of the background of the company and gave me some suggestions for a burger based on my tastes. It was really hard to choose. I eventually chose the Western burger (beef, BBQ sauce, cheddar, bacon, and an onion ring), substituted a spud (think of the most delicious oversized hashbrown you've ever had) for the onion rings, and ordered it without special sauce and well done. Got fries and a drink to go with it, because, why not? (You can choose what size burger you want, starting at 5 oz., which is already massive.) Sat at a very nice window booth so that I could people watch runners, inevitably burning calories while I consumed 193898321983291, at Greenlake. I am kicking myself now for not taking a picture of the final product, because it was glorious...just the perfect combination of bacon to cheese and beef, etc. The spud was a super interesting and nice touch. And the BBQ sauce! Not the traditional but amazing. I ate the entire thing plus most of the fries, and I am usually a half-burger kind of girl, hence, the heartburn. I immediately emailed my dad (who is from Honolulu) and told him that we have to go to the Waikiki location when we are there over Spring Break. If you're in the Greenlake area, you have to stop and try this place. There are so many other burgers I'd like to try, especially the ones with teri sauce. Although I didn't have one (I would have exploded), it looks like the shakes are absolutely gluttonously good. And if you find yourself in Hawaii, obviously give it a try. I've read a few other reviews, and I have to say, I don't think Teddy's is advertising or trying to be a gourmet burger place, so the harsh reviews are pretty unfair. I don't know what people see in Red Mill or Blue Moon (terrible). Just because Oprah says it's good doesn't mean it is. I found the prices to be very reasonable. If you order a 9 oz. burger, fries, and a milkshake, you should expect to pay more than you would at a fast food restaurant. Pake! Thanks for the tasties and heartburn, Teddy's! So worth it. *I* will be back.

Premium taste, premium quality, for a premium price. And that's okay. I got their 7oz Teri Burger. It is one of the Original Burgers with less ingredients then a lot of their other stuff. I don't regret it for my first burger. Fresh ingredients, stacked high, and very filling. One of the best burgers I've had in Seattle. Def will eat here more often.

This was a pleasant surprise. The thing that makes this place top-notch - they actually cook the burgers medium. Yes, it was pink and tasted great. As opposed to 99% of other burger places that cook everything super-well done and so the meat has no flavor. The fries were good. The service was friendly and the place was clean. Tasty food, good service, clean - what more can you ask for from a burger place?

I went to Teddy's last week for dinner, around 8pm. I think they were understaffed perhaps for the crowd (but it wasn't all that huge) and also had some deliver Bite orders going. The ordering process kind of took a long time, and then a bit of a wait as well for our food. I guess the "fast food" style and décor of the restaurant made me think the food would come quicker. I got a burger and fries. I can't remember what all was on the burger, because it was a whole lot of sauces and stuff. The burger I got was good, but it was pretty expensive for what you get. I guess I'm comparing it to Red Mill style burgers, and Red Mill is a lot cheaper. (And maybe that's wrong of me...) Overall, Teddy's was good but not awesome. A solid burger, but the toppings choices and style of menu was a little overwhelming for me. When there's so many great burger options in Seattle, it's tough to pick Teddy's as my go-to.

Fantastic Lunch. I got the 7oz and despite being very hungry I couldn't finish. It wasn't for lack of trying, it was fantastic, but also a massive amount of food. I'd say teddy's juicy burgers are much better than lil woodys charred hockey pucks. The fries were crispy on the outside, creamy inside - but were akin to a salt lick. I know a lot of people that would have liked them that way. A couple swipes of a napkin toned it down enough to enjoy the rest of my meal. I'd definitely go back and can see this being a very popular spot to grab some take out to enjoy on summer days around the lake.

In the mood for a BURGER? Teddy's Bigger Burger's is as good as it gets. Like some others I tried Teddy's in Hawaii first. I remember thinking they should have some of these shops on the mainland. Then Cortana told me there's one in nearby Greenlake. Honey get the car keys! Plus this one has free parking - in the Greenlake area that is a huge plus. The quality is the same here as in Hawaii. Attentive staff, excellent options (great toppings, plus turkey, fish etc for the non-beefers out there). They obey the number one rule of restauranteurship: DON'T SKIMP. The phrase "hey that's stacked too high!" is never uttered at Teddy's Bigger Burgers. It's meaningless! Special orders are no problem: Medium Rare? Sure. Add mushrooms to that: YEP! See attached photo for Volcano Burger. If Red Mill were next door to Teddy's I'd have to flip a coin to decide where to dine. Though honestly, there are more options available at Teddy's. It hasn't been crowded either time I've been to Teddy's. I almost wonder whether they shouldn't change their name. I wouldn't have ventured in if I hadn't been to a Teddy's in Hawaii for example. It's like naming a band "Dixie Dregs" or "Porcupine Tree" - based on the names they sound silly and amateurish; when in fact they're awesome. Teddy's Bigger Burgers is the Dixie Dregs of restaurants: deserving more attention!

How can anyone not love their incredible milkshakes.... easily the top 3 in my life. called ahead to do pickup before they close surprisingly early for a Friday Nite 9pm. this good sized location doesn't have the fish tank LOL. located in a bit of busy road off Aurora. liked this seating layout, more of a box. turns out there's an even bigger size that ppl rarely orders haha.

FANTASTIC burgers! I'm very picky about my burgers, but this place did not disappoint! I got the 7oz Greenlake burger (Teri, blue cheese, avocado), lettuce wrapped, add bacon. I asked for the burger to be cooked med-rare and it was cooked perfectly. My fiance got the double monster, a whopping 18oz of meat, and he devoured it. On the side, we tried their "extra crispy" fries & tater tots. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that the fries were FAR from being "extra crispy" and were probably our least favorite thing out of everything we tried. The tots were nice and crispy, although I don't think I'd get them again. I'd definitely try the garlic fries & sweet potato fries next time I'm in. We ended the meal with a peanut butter milkshake, which was delicious as well. Super thick and creamy! The staff was super friendly as well - I was being indecisive about which burger I wanted to get and she let me try some of the different sauces. Definitely coming back to this place soon, there are so many burgers I want to try on the menu!

Awesome burger, fresh ingredients, nice & knowledgeable staff who took the time to explain their vast menu. I had their regular "small" 5 oz. burger with cheddar (.69) & bacon (1.38) which are add on's. Friend had combo Teri 5 oz. (Add .70), sweet potato fries (add 1.30) and a shake upgrade (add $2.80) which we shared and they split into 2 small cups for us. With tax it came to $23.83, not the cheapest lunch but very satisfying and delicious. My bacon had a yummy charbroiled taste and the potato bun was soft & chewy goodness. My friend ordered hers more rare and it came perfectly cooked to order. Great experience, great shake too!

Amazing burgers. I had their Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Cajun seasoning and it was one of the best sandwich I have ever had. The seasoning was perfect; not too overpowering and not very light. Veggies were very fresh and their special sauce was the best. Fries were excellent too. I would highly recommend this place.

Well, I worked out really really hard to come here! However, I chose to have my burger without buns. I love how they are willing to customize it. Worry about parking? Don't, because there are parking spots for retails under the building. How convenient is that!? Teddy's by Greenlake is new. But, Teddy's is not new to WA. I've been to their Woodinville store. I loved it. I love the fresh smell of a new restaurant. It's just so clean. I went there late so the staff was already cleaning and about to close for the day. They made it clear which garbage can you can put your trash in. Like I mentioned, they customized my burger for me! I regretted because I didn't feel like I have just eaten! Regardless, I loved my customized burger! It doesn't taste like Costco patties for sure! Well, my sweet potato fries just had too much salt on. It was VERY salty. I didn't remember I requested extra salt! I still love Teddy's because one of my boys is Teddy! :P

Obviously, burgers are the specialty here, but they also have salads and chicken, veggie, and fish sandwiches. You can customize the size, toppings, and types of burgers you want and how you want it cooked. I like that the burgers are also charbroiled, as opposed to being cooked on a flat top grill. On the night we visited, I chose the Hawaiian style 5 oz burger, it had teriyaki sauce and pineapple, with the works. My hubby had the Volcano turkey burger which included pepper jack, jalapeños in addition to the works. We both liked our choices, however I think next time I'm ordering turkey burgers here, they do them really well! The turkey burger was flavorful and moist! Teddy's has also added beer to their menu and are having an inaugural burgers and beer combo offer! It was really refreshing to have beer on a warm summer day after a jaunt around Greenlake (I earned it, didn't I?) Additionally the staff were really helpful and patient as we took our time ordering. Teddy's is a great addition to the restaurants around Greenlake. I look forward to making another visit.

I frequently dream about this place when I'm craving burgers!! The staff is oh so sweet & helpful, especially if you're new to the place, they make damn sure you're taken care of! I get my burger medium rare & it's always perfect & juicy. I only wish my mouth was big enough to wrap around the burger for a decent sized bite. The only downside is sometimes the buns get really soggy, even if I try to eat fast in my attempt to avoid it. And please, please, ask for some extra sauce for your fries because it's to die for! Oh, & expect a little wait for your food, they do make 'em fresh which of course takes longer. Can't rush perfection

I cannot recommend Teddy's enough. Seriously. My husband and I, while not "foodies", do enjoy eating out 3 or 4 times a week, and we're pretty picky about quality and freshness. We make a plan to eat at Teddy's at least twice a month and would eat there more except that we live in Seattle and we like trying new restaurants. We both order, typically, the veggie burger with my husband pairing his with fries, and I with tots. These non-meat burgers are amazing and smoky. The tots and fries (side note, I don't like French fries, but I will steal a few from my husband's plate when dining at Teddy's) are not at all greasy. The sauce could inspire poetry it is that good. But as good as the food is, the staff are, incredibly, even better. Ken (the owner) and his staff are unfailingly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.

Good burgers, good hawaiian style buns. I like the specialty burgers. Lots of avocado on Bacado or Greenlake burgers. My only complaint is that it seems like they still haven't quite dialed in their patty cooking. I always ask for medium, sometimes that gives me what I would call medium-well, sometimes rare, and almost half the time, I get a medium burger. The toppings end up covering it all up enough that they can get away with it, otherwise I would probably have to knock them down to a 3.

This place is too dope for words, first off the restaurant itself was sssooooo clean I felt like I was too dirty and sweaty to be there from walking Greenlake haha. But the design and decor is super cute, modern Hawaiian burger joint. It was my first time in and the staff there was more than helpful, Wolfy behind the counter was a Teddy's burger expert (as he should be) but was passionate and California surfer bro goofy, and had some great suggestions. Shout out to Wolfy my guy!!! Then while eating, the owner I believe or manager Ken was checking up on us periodically about how everything was and even got my friend a new milkshake (minor issue) but he was awesome and easy to talk to. Basically staff is legit!!! Now this menu though is ridiculous (in a good way) so many choices and combinations I just had to close my eyes, point, and choose from the specialty menu. I ended up with the Bacado, bacon, cheddar, avocado, with all the fixing of course and their signature sauce that was off the chain! This burger meant business, it was huge (#thatswhatshesaid) only a 5oz may I add and it was juicy as hell and had really fresh ingredients and once again that speciality sauce was a punch of flavor that it needed. Not only did I have the burger but I got some tots too!!! Those were great of course because you can't mess those up really but you can make them extremely better by adding hella iissshhhh to them. Hello spicy cheddar tots!!! I was really wanting the garlic tots but my friend wanted cheese but so many options to put on those too. Overall this place is epic. You just wasted your time reading my dumb review when you can be eating one of their burgers.

Absolutely love this place. It has an amazing assortment of burgers, from beef to veggie to turkey and many more. The staff is great and always double check on each table. And now they have added beer.

I'm still recovering 2 days after visiting Teddy's. We were so excited to try Teddy's! A vegetarian friend could not stop raving about the meaty burgers. I wanted to believe! Messy and heavy. We could not finish our 15.00 burgers. Before departing, our very nice and honest server admitted that she/he had only consumed a single burger since the start of employment at the restaurant...for the price, it is not the best.

Teddy's is awesome! My kids love the shakes and tater tots. Whether you're treating yourself to a tasty burger or having a healthy salad, there's something for everyone. The manager is super nice :). The place is always sparkling clean and has a very relaxing atmosphere, just look out the window and you can see the lake!

Great burgers and friendly service! This is the first place that does not use some mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise as the special sauce. It is a delicious, tangy honey mustard. I am especially appreciative of the family friendly environment and easy parking in the basement of the building. So glad there is another good choice to fill up at while at Greenlake!

We've ordered through bite squad when getting these, three times in about a month and half to be exact, haha. Loved their burgers, loved their sides, great food. We thought one night, okay let's get take out and actually go to the restaurant to try one of the great shakes we heard about but couldn't get with delivery (they're good, well made) and I ordered, the guy taking the order didn't understand what I was saying (no tomato needed repeating multiple times, but it comes with tomato, but I don't want tomato, but it comes with tomato...etc) and after ten minutes ordering four burgers and a couple sides I was done. I should add the majority of what we originally wanted was listed on the website but not available at the store because the items on the menu were new and the guy on the phone said no one knew how to make them. I'd think they would wait to launch a new menu after the staff knew it. Anyways, drive there and parked, went in waited in line while some race was going on and runners were cutting ahead of everyone getting shirts or something from the staff. Ten minutes in line (still okay, burgers are worth it) and it's finally my turn. Guy who took my order rang me up, I saw the bill and asked why one burger had feta, I didn't order feta. He said oh sorry, misunderstood you, I asked if I could get the burger I ordered made since he screwed up. He let me know it would be twenty minutes for a new burger, and he couldn't remove the wrong burger from the order or fix it since he already ran my card. He suggested I take it home and scrape the feta off. I sighed, headed home, my family was happy with what they ordered, I however, pretty bummed at the customer service, the long wait, and just the overall experience. If I would have written this before going in it definitely would have been five stars, they're great. But after the whole in store experience, we won't be going back in and we'll only order from online, easier, and always correct.

Very tasty new burger joint in a great location by the lake. The inside is very clean, staff is friendly and burgers are cooked to order. The wait took a little longer than I was expecting, but after receiving my food I was appreciative of the great taste and quality that went into it. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for a big, juicy burger. I'll definitely be back!

I am not a burger person at all and if it is.. Then it has to be a gourmet burger with some sort of chanterelle/ truffle foo foo stuff incorporated in the burger. I reluctantly came here with my Bf and I hAte to say that he was right for once. Haha. I had a regular 5oz burger with American cheese and I absolutely loved it. What I love most about this place was that you can pick how you like your patty cooked . Omg Rare please!!!! I really thought this would be another Red robin type of joint . But the quality of meat and most importantly how teddy's seasons the meat, surpasses a lot of gourmet burger joints ! When you have ground beef cooked rare or medium rare , the meat literally just meltsssss in your mouth like butter. Idk WHY people find rare beef so gross?!? Try it once! It beats over cooked rubber eraser meat. The burgers here also have that charbroiled flavor that really gives it an extra oomph of flavor!

I've always heard about Teddy's. I'm glad there's one closer to Seattle. I got the Lahaina style 7oz burger....and it was intense, in a good way! Interesting mix of spicy with the jalapeños and sweet with the grilled pineapple. I definitely recommend this place for a good recovery meal after running in Greenlake.

Ok yet overpriced place to have a burger. We came in on a late week day evening so we were served pretty fast. I'm not sure if the teenager at the counter taking our order had a shtick to perform by talking really fast in incomprehensible english or I am just too old and can't connect to the new generation. The burger was good but the spicy fries were terrible. If you take fries and dust them with spices you will choke on them when you try to eat them because guess what they are DUSTY. My companion's sweet potato fries were much better.

Teddy's Bigger Burgers was a place I have been meaning to try for sometime. Teddy's is a Honolulu based chain from what I learned. They have a wide variety of menu options and have seperate menus for different things. They have a specality burger menu which is what Steve and I ordered from. You have the choice of making your burger three different size, hence the name bigger. Steve and I decided we did not need to be gluttons so we got the smallest patty of beef which was more than enough. Menu items vary greatly on the specalty menu from location to location so bear that in mind. At the Greenlake location I ordered the Volcano Burger which had a lot of jalapenos in it and Pepperjack Cheese. I enjoyed my burger and the fries are good too! Steve got the Kilauea Fire Burger which tasted a little bit sweeter because they put a kind of spicy BBQ sauce on it. His burger was good too! The burgers are very messy and the wait staff comes around and gives you wet napkins for an easier clean up. They know their burgers are messy! Since moving to the area I kind of have to restart my thinking as to where to go when I want a good burger amongst other kinds of foods. I am happy to say I would keep Teddy's in mind whenever a burger hankering arises. P.S. They have awesome milkshakes too! Steve and I split a Strawberry Milkshake which rocked!

It's a little ironic that I'd give a little more love to a place that happens to do less for a burger than most of the up-and-coming burger joints in the area. It's weird. With all these high-end burger spots preparing the burgers almost identically with each other, the one thing I really appreciated about my burger at Teddy's was that the bun was not slathered with butter and grilled. I can't speak on behalf of any of my burger-loving friends but I appreciate a good burger that tantalizes my taste buds, accentuates the burger, and has fixins that work harmoniously together without leaving me feel like I drank some butter. Otherwise, everything else worked well. A nice patty, avocado, bacon, cheese, and sauce paired with some garlic fries, makes for a nice ol' meal. Only reason this place doesn't five-star is how the price structure is mapped out. Stand-alone burger or combos for a price but if you add fixins to the fries or burgers, it really starts to add up. Two burgers, garlic fries, one soda came to $25, yikes. Too much, me thinks.

Very solid burger joint. I wanted to write a review because we went there tonight and the food was excellent but the customer service was a very pleasant surprise. We sat outside to enjoy the sun and an employee brought out our drinks and then our food, very attentive. I recommend it for a quick summer dinner.

I wish there were a way to rate places in more than one aspect. I say that because I actually really enjoyed my burger and would probably give it 3+ stars, but I feel that Teddy's is massively overpriced for what you get so I am reflecting that in my review. The concept is that you choose the size of beef patty you want as well as what ingredients you want on it. The problem is that they have a bunch of different burgers on the menu, but there are no discounts for the ingredients on these burgers. So, If you order one of their specialty burgers, they ding you full price for each ingredient and, all of a sudden, your burger goes from $6 or $7 to $12 or $13 before you can blink. Again, while I really enjoyed the burger, I ended up feeling very "nickled and dimed" by the way they price their menu. At the end of the day, I would walk a few blocks to Rain City Burgers on 65th and Roosevelt and get a very similar burger for a much better price.

Stopped by during a visit to UW. Absolutely delicious burgers - they were cooked perfectly. My kids also had the chicken tenders and shakes. They gave everything a big thumbs up. The store is nicely decorated , clean, and in general gives off a great vibe. Super-friendly staff as well. Overall, a great experience.

Three of us came in last Tuesday evening to grab a quick bite as other local restaurants had 30 minute waits to be seated. It was our first time for all of us, so took a bit of time for us to decide on what we wanted; the staff were super patient and helpful while we ordered. Everything we got was super good "Western Chicken Burger", another one with 5oz beef, "5oz Pineapple Burger", Giant Salad, and a shake. We ate in and the staff was super friendly, bring our food to the table and making sure we had everything we needed several times, then we realized they had actually closed, but not once did they ever make us feel like we needed to rush and get out. I'd definitely go back again for the food and for the quality service.

  • Judy S.

Okay, I DID NOT have a burger, just a quick shake and fries. The shake was okay, nothing special and so were the fries. They're thick cut, so if you like that style you may enjoy them thoroughly, but I felt like they were too starchy and bland. The staff is very friendly though!

Excellent Burger, excellent customer service, excellent atmosphere! The burger can be made to order how you like it and is absolutely delicious. Great music in the background and vibes throughout the place as well. First time here and will definitely be back. Don't forget to get the Cajun fries either!!

  • M D.

Too expensive for a so so burger. Yes you can taste the flame broil but the bun does not hold up and the "special" sauce is tooo much. Also when the toppings are priced separately you end up spending 10 plus dollars on a burger and that doesn't include fries. Can't imagine I'd be going back.

    (2)
  • Carin G.

The employee on the register (shift leader) was extremely rude. I have worked in customer service for 12 years and I know it can be stressful and upsetting, you don't show that to the customer!! She made me feel dumb because of how I worded my order, I had never been here before. She rolled her eyes and she made a gesture with her hands like "hello your wrong and I'm right". I will never come back here again or refer anyone!! The food is good.

The amazing burger chain from Hawaii located at Greenlake will only leaving you dreaming of being in Hawaii sun even more! Teddy's is a unique twist to a Red Robin concept, providing wonderful burger varieties, great french fries and a secret fry sauce that is to die for. The location is located in the heart of Greenlake Park, so parking can be tough but it well worth it. Expect to spend about $12.00. Not as good as a value as a Rain City Burger, but for the price comes with the trade off of great Greenlake views.

Walked by this popular Hawaiian burger establishment not knowing its origins - but it becomes apparent once you walk in the door (décor, Hawaiian-influenced food options, occasional Hawaiian music). The customer service is genuine, welcoming, informative and just plain nice. They even offer you a wet-nap at the end your meal. But of course, the real draw is the food. I don't eat hamburgers very often but would make an exception for Teddy's due to its menu options, freshness, and the fact that it is cooked to order (mooing to well done). Impressive. My burger came nicely pink, and most importantly, juicy. Strawberry shake was creamy, not too sweet, and had bits of fresh strawberry in it. Oh, yeah, and the prices are very affordable. Could become a habit as I run around the lake.

Just a disclosure - I am giving Teddy's one star, largely based on their pricing. I've been here twice now, once with the fam, and once with the boyfriend. My mom paid the first time we went, so it wasn't so much front and center, but be forewarned, for 4 people to have burgers, fries and shakes it was OVER $60 (with the 10% off coupon we had) The food was pretty good and tasty, but the burgers were a bit overdone and dry. We swung by today on a jaunt around the lake. Originally, we'd planned to order ONE burger/fries/shake to split. However, when we were faced with the total, we were floored. Granted we ordered a double-patty and a milkshake. But the order came out to $18 - for ONE order! That is just crazy. If you walk 3 more blocks you can get a great burger at the Greenlake Bar & Grill and a beer to boot for much less. It just doesn't make sense that this place is so expensive - and why would you go to Teddy's when you could go to Redmill, Greenlake B&G or Rain City? The manager was nice enough and gave us a refund. But we won't be going back.

Can't recommend this place. Tried it in Hawaii and tried it here, neither was great. After visiting Red Mill, it really put this experience in perspective. For a burger joint, it's expensive. They do offer a very customized burger and offer beef alternatives (I had turkey), but the final product is wet, messy, and hard to hold much less take a bite from. The actual taste is okay, but for the price, not worth it. Fries are nothing special. Service was friendly, but overly intrusive. Someone checked in on us at least three times while we sat and ate. If you're in the neighborhood, head next door to Turnpike. If you have to have a burger, go two blocks north to Greenlake Bar & Grill where you will get a much better burger for a buck or two more.

Decent fries. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and it was alright. My brother had the bleu cheese and bacon burger and said it was good.

Let me first say that in my opinion there are two types of burgers: cheap burgers that you wanna eat after a long day at work or if you're drunk vs. burgers that are cooked with quality and care, Teddy's is the latter. I may sound biased in saying that I'm from Hawaii and I've been eating Teddy's since I was a little kid but let me make a point here, I've eaten at Red Mill and at EJ's and numerous other burger joints around Seattle, and I still prefer Teddy's over all of them. Their food combined with their customer service is why I feel Teddy's deserves best burger spot in town. Food: - I ordered a Bigger Burger Combo (7oz), with no pickles, bacon and avocado as additions, and cooked to rare. - I've also ordered Garlic Butter Fries Result: After 10 minutes my meal was ready, burger was cooked with a nice pink in the middle and my additions were in there as well. Tasted very delicious, especially with that Teddy's special sauce in the burger. And the Garlic Butter fries were also delicious, not salty, not too garlicky, just right. Customer Service: We were welcomed by a polite young lady by the name of Sarah, she took down our orders to the very point. She always smiled, was very courteous, and was accurate with our orders. She personally brought out our orders to our table when it was ready and even brought us little moist towelettes a little after. I was always pleased with the Teddy's back in my Hawaii home, I'm glad to say that the quality in food and service hasn't changed in my Seattle home.

I was impressed with 2 things;first very conscientious employees and secondly how clean the joint is. Food really good too.

Finally, this place opened! I've been waiting since October for Teddy's to open just so I could have a closer burger joint. Took a ten minute walk here, and as soon as I entered, I was greeted by everyone! Everyone was so nice and chatty it was almost annoying (then again, I was a crab apple since I have been under the weather). I ordered a Cajun burger, chocolate peanut butter shake, and small fries. They say that they cook the burgers medium, with a hint of pink I expected my 5 oz. to be over cooked since it's the smallest size, but surprisingly it wasn't! The ingredients are very fresh, and their special sauce is like a honey mustard. Fries are amaaaaaazing! Fluffy inside, crispy outside. The shake was also the thickest shake in all of Washington. The one who made it told me she put in extra peanut butter -without me asking!! The service here is awesome. Like I said, they're super friendly and open. The staff there are like your super sweet friends who think of things like moist towelettes and extra napkins for the messy burger dinner before you do. Atmosphere is fun and clean. You kind of forget that Seattle is cloudy and cold while you're in the restaurant. All in all, a really fun place to eat with great food and staff.

Tried this place last night and wasn't all that impressed. They do have pretty big burgers (patty), enthusiastic service and a clean environment but that's where it ends for me. The prices were comparable to a premium fast food joint like Blue Moon or Red Mill but I didn't feel like there was anything special to justify it, aside from a slightly bigger patty. The burger was a little too wet and sloppy for me, ingredients seemed pretty standard in both size an quality (tomatoe, lettuce, etc) and the bun was just an average Franz bun. Nothing special there. Service was eager but they missed on some key stuff: I asked for their secret sauce on the side, burger came flooded in it. Order came out in pieces rather than all at once. The couple we were with also had a few items missed on their order on the first go. All was corrected and the staff was friendly enough. I also like having condiments at the table but they have more of a mcdonalds format. They only had two high chairs in the restaurant so one of the kids in our party didn't get one. I guess I just don't see anything special about this place. Uneedaburger, Blue Moon Burger and Red Mill all offer something unique... this place just didn't do it for me.

Mmm I love Teddy's! I usually go to the one in woodinville but was at greenlake today and decided to go. They have probably the best burger I've ever had here though there was a touch too much sauce. I had the original big burger with sweet potato fries. Service here was very friendly and I'll definitely be back for more!

My grilled chicken burger with garlic sauce is pretty yummy! Staffs are nice, friendly, and very helpful. My husband ordered classic burger combo#2 and he enjoyed that as well. I'm giving a 4stars because they are missing mayo and mustard pumps for self-serve. I like my fries with ketchup and mayo. They do have package mayo but I think it tastes different. We are excited to have a decent burger place close by that we can walk too! We are looking forward to working our way through the menu!

Simply, a great burger. 3 sizes depending on hunger level, too. Though, the best part about Teddy's is the staff. Everyone is super friendly including the guys on the grill.

Decent burgers, great shakes. Onion rings are ok as are the fries. Definitely not worth the price. Chicken sandwich, chicken finger basket and a shake--nearly $30. Eesh.

Best chicken strips I can remember with great fries! Get the fire dipping sauce. Very glad to have this burger joint across the street from Greenlake.

Teddy's has a very interesting outlook on burgers and you can certainly see its Hawaiian roots. The service was fast and the food was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the old 50's dinner amercana settingall the way down to the order zipline from the counter into the kitchen. I wouldn't consider this the best burger I have ever had but it may very well have been the messiest (not a bad thing), but I think I could easily find a better burger in Seattle. Overall I would visit Teddy's again but i doubt that I would make it a destination.

We typically go to Rain City for our burgers, but that's changing now. We live nearby, and were actually on the way to pick up sandwiches when we noticed Teddy's was open. I swear there was nothing there 2 days ago! We checked out the menus posted outside and decided to give them a try. We ended up with a regular size (their patties come in 3 sizes) Cajun burger, and a Hawaiian chicken, plus shakes - peanut butter and dreamsicle. Everything was super fresh - no wilted, creepy old lettuce or yellow tomatoes, and the sauces and spices were amazing. They also offer build-your-own salads, and a number of side items to add to any burger, like mushrooms or grilled onions. The one negative was that my chicken was underdone. I would normally score down for that, but the flavors were so fantastic that I'll overlook it this time ;) Thanks for the great dinner~We'll be back!

Thinking of doing 5 guys? Think again. This fantastic Hawaiian import sits on a beautiful view at green lake and features fantastic ingredients prepared well. And the prices rock. Was blown away by the attentive, friendly service. Add outdoor seating and you have the perfect combo for a phenomenal summer evening burger !

Waited 20 minutes for 2 cheeseburgers (after ordering) in a half empty restaurant. Probably not coming back, especially with all of the good burger in the area.

Wow this place is awesome! I have eaten here twice. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is outstanding! I recommend trying the grilled pineapple on your burger!

Best teriyaki chicken burger I've ever had. The chicken was juicy and grilled to perfection. Full of flavor and nowhere near bland. I think they even used fresh pineapple. My husband had the turkey burger and loved it! The onion rings and tater tots were great as well. Crispy and not greasy. The spicy fries were not what I was expecting. They were good, just not my favorite. Will definitely eat here again!

I would give 6 stars if I could! Great food! Not sure what their hiring strategy is but all the employees are sooo nice! They are super cool chill people and it feels like you're on vacay for a bit! Great food and better service!

Tried out this place for the first time. Wasn't sure about how it would be and looked at the website beforehand and it seemed pretty decent. We ordered a Burger, a kids corn dog meal, and some cheesy fries. While the cheesy fries were great (good cheese sauce), the rest lacked luster. The burger had little flavor and when I had requested lite jalapeños on my burger, they probably put 2-3 times the amount I requested. I probably won't be ordering from here again.

Not good. Grey, frozen, preformed patties of low grade meat should have no place in my fair city. When I saw this place opening up, I was excited to try it. Too few burger joints exist around my hood, and I've thought for a long time that needed to change. Unfortunately a burger that resembles something from a county fair just doesn't cut for me. Maybe I'm just spoiled, or snobby, or both but when you open a restaurant in Seattle, you better bring it, and sadly this place falls very short. Still waiting for someone to open that spot of my dreams near my house...In the meantime, I'll keep making the short trek to Uneeda Burger.

They greeted us very nicely and asked whether it was the first time there or not. I got the full "menu tour." The restaurant seemed clean, with a 50's diner-style theme. Great location next to Green Lake. I think the burger was pretty tasty, nice bun and good ingredients but it didn't really make me want to come back for more, like the Rain City chicken burger. The special sauce wasn't bad, it just wasn't my favorite. I'll try other burgers on the menu, I think they have a good thing going here with the great service and location.

  • D T.

Excellent location across from the park with ample parking underground, a definite plus for the area. Service was great and the space was clean. I ordered a 5 oz burger and the other 2 people in my group ordered 5oz combos with shakes. The patty was juicy and perfectly formed. However, the bun needs work. A burger that is extra juicy really needs a bun with a backbone to hold it all in. Midway through my experience, the bun became paper thin. Price point a tad high. total bill was about $40 for 3 ppl in a diner style burger joint.

This burger Joint is awsome, the food is great and the garlic fries are the truth. My only issue are the prices so, I give this place 3 stars.

Great burgers and a phenomenal peanut butter root beer milkshake. The garlic fries were just right (better than what is served at the M's games) and those cheesy fries were to die for!!

My wife and I were in the neighborhood and had a little bit of time between appointments and we stopped in. We really like the atmosphere & it was very clean. The food was really good our burgers were cooked to perfection and the fries were great I'm hoping we can stop in again soon kudos to this place. Gotta say though that Greenlake does not feel like Hawaii.

This place was awesome! With so many burger places around the area, Teddy's set itself apart for us because of comfortable vibe, very friendly staff and most importantly the burgers (with their special sauce makes it off the chain)!!!! My wife ordered their Original burger with bacon and pineapple with a side of onion rings and the burger was cooked to her liking and onion rings were crispy. I got the Teriyaki Burger with bacon and cheddar with tatar tots and strawberry shake. The Teriyaki burger is legit and I always love a place that serves tatar tots and shake was thick and delicious Also like that it's right on Greenlake and will probably be hitting up Teddy's again after a nice stroll around the lake.

Wow, great. Helpful staff and very tasty huge burger! Be very hungry. The pricepoints are very fair, not overpriced at all. Pay over $10, in for a real treat! One of the best medium rare burger I've had, precise indeed, through and through and I orded a double 7oz.

The burger was ok as far as fast food fare goes, but $11 for the cheapest meal is just to much. It was worth half the price. I doubt I'll go back.

My girlfriend and I first tried Teddy's Bigger Burgers when we were doing some wine tasting in Woodinville. We were really impressed by the burgers, and we even bought a bottle of their Kilauea Fire Sauce which we used to make some really great BBQ pulled pork. My girlfriend lives in the Green Lake area, so when she received a coupon for Teddy's in the mail, we decided to check out the Green Lake location. Although Teddy's has many intriguing menu options, I stuck with my choice from Woodinville of the Kilauea Fire Burger with spicy BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, bacon, and an onion ring. My girlfriend ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, and we shared a chocolate shake. The burger was just as impressive as last time. It was cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. I could not get enough of the spicy fire sauce. All of the ingredients worked in harmony with each other. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the chicken sandwich was on the same level as the burgers. The chicken was juicy and the yellow sauce complemented the chicken nicely. I can't overstate how great each of the ingredients is in terms of both taste and quality at Teddy's. The fries were outstanding too. The chocolate shake was tasty, but to be honest, it wasn't that much better than a Wendy's Frosty. I probably wouldn't get a shake there again. In addition to the food being great, the service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. Teddy's is my new favorite burger chain. I really hope they add more locations in California.

In one word: Delicious. A delicious burger experience with so many customizable options! You can even pick how much you'd like your meat cooked. Also they have beer Staff were helpful and very friendly. Great atmosphere with the Hawaiian theme. Just a really chill, legit spot. With great portions, great ingrediants and a ton of options you will definitely leave here full and happy.

I'm totally thrilled with Teddy's! Stopped in this evening based on all the awesome reviews already posted. Plus the deal is great too! They have a super solid happy hour with $3 beers. "Burger and beer" specials make this place an easy stop when kicking off your night. Grab a quick and delicious burger and head out! It's a super casual atmosphere, with a little bit of sidewalk seating, plus booths and a place to look out over Greenlake. The burgers are fantastic! You can just just about any topping you want and they cook it to the temp you want, harder to find at a place this casual and fast! I got a medium burger, with pepper jack, bacon, mushrooms , lettuce, and special sauce plus cheese fries (since I'm a sucker for that super processed cheese sauce). The Hawaiian theme means great Longboard beers and a laid back vibe. Check it out soon!

Teddy's is toward the top of the list of my all time favorite burger stops in Seattle; and I have been to many! Always a juicy meaty well seasoned burger coupled with fresh cut veggies on a soft full potato bun. Choose your appetite, do you need a 5 oz, a 7 oz or a mean 9 oz burger? I know my limits, the 7 oz burger has been very good to me. My favorite is the Hawaiian burger, that is with pineapple of course. Then, for 69 cents, I add jalapeños to my burger. When my game is just completely on point, I ask them to add their volcano sauce to the burger as well, so good! This is the perfect mix of pineapple sweet and pepper spicy hot. Love it! There is a small outside dining area if you are in the mood for some people watching. I often sit and try to calculate how many laps around Green Lake it would take to burn off this burger. Hint: Use the building's west side garage entrance for easy parking.

I;m not a huge fan of burgers so it may seem like i'm kinda being biased... but i thought the burgers were okay. The biggest thing about these burgers though, is that its not OILY! thats one thing i hate about eating burgers and this burger was not dripping at all, which i thought was a +1! You can eat outside and enjoy your beer. Good place to eat, and you can also take a nice walk after!

We ordered grilled chicken burger (garlic) and crispy chicken burger. I would say their burger and fries are best in greenlake area. Combo price 10.49 but small fries is not small. It comes with a good amount of portion. Chicken texture very soft. Crispy chicken burger very crispy and juicy. Not dry, not like typical burger you get from fast good chains. This place wowed me. Really recommend to people new here
