I love Tammy's! I usually come here for the desserts. I get suong sao banh lot. It's a definite must try. If you're a fan of Bambu's #10 dessert item, just get suong sao banh lot and ask them to add hot luu aka red tapioca. It's pretty similar, but the base is coconut and milk. Their Che thai is pretty good too, especially when it's fresh. The ladies behind the counter are super quick and friendly. They see my family often and always say hi! Only downside is that this is a cash-only establishment. I rarely carry cash! But the inconvenience may be a blessing in disguise because I would probably go broke and get fat off desserts.

Visited this place because we wanted some bubble tea. This little place is packed full of awesome foods! To our surprise they have loads of fresh baked breads! There were so many items there that we gotta go back another time to check it out. We ordered the Pina Colada & Mango Pineapple Smoothies & they were very tasty, but the pearls were over cooked, overly soft & soggy. I suggest skipping the pearls & get jellies if you want some texture in your drink.

Times are a changing I've been going to this bakery since about 2004 (I think it's that old or older). I went recently and wondered how long ago they actually gave this place a good scrub. I used the restroom and there was no soap. Does that mean the staff don't wash their hands after going?? This is the first time I've ever had spring rolls with brownish lettuce. It was the best option of the slims pickings in the later afternoon. The food and the cleanliness are down the tubes. I have a lower bar in general for these bakeries but this went way below. The popularity of this place has let everything else slide!

This place is the best Vietnamese deli in Seattle! Quality food for good prices! The shop is small and is usually pretty busy but the service is pretty quick. I recommend getting the combo #1 sandwich and the spring rolls! The bubble tea is also really good!

One of, if not the best banh mi and Vietnamese delis in Seattle. This is the fcking joint. Their sandwiches slap. hard. But I'm not Vietnamese so take this review with a grain of salt. In my opinion, better than banh mi I've had in Vietnam. The bread is so fresh, toasted to perfection on the outside, soft with a crisp on the inside, uncomparable. Tammy's got their amazing combination of fish sauce, mayo, pate, pickled daikon/carrots, cilantro, and jalapeno stuffed with meat down to a science. My favorites #9 chicken, #1 combo, and #13 bbq pork. Aside from Banh mi there is a huge deli section, banh cuon, congee, sticky rice, vermicelli, vietnamese desserts, etc. and you gotta TRY the spring rolls, not your average. Cash only, do I even need to say that? It's a viet place, southend, get w it. Anyways, I love Tammy's and I could eat there everyday, everyday.

This is my first time to this store. I went in to buy some prepackaged food. The store was organized and clean, but there were no price listed for most food. I didnt think much of it and bought what i want. I was charge $40 for four items, two were appetizers. When i questioned them on the price, i found out i was overcharged by $13. They did not apologize or make an effort to correct the charge. This is the worst Vietnamese market ive been to. I am never coming back here again. Don't be fooled by their look unless you want to be ripped of like me.

It's usually a hit or miss whenever I come here. Their drinks and pastries are great most of the time. The Thai Tea is extremely bitter and the color is way darker than the normal color it's supposed to be. A lot of the drinks are overly sweet, for example the vanilla latte and the jasmine tea. If you were to get a drink, I would recommend the Italian Soda.

They have an assortment of boxed lunches, Vietnamese food and some pastry treats. I only tried a pastry, which was okay, but nothing to go crazy over.

I ordered a tofu sandwich and they gave me tofu with chicken in it, not just one piece but several pieces of chicken

The Grilled Pork Banh Mi Sandwich is the best vietnamese sandwich I've ever had. This is my favorite banh mi place in all Seattle. The place looks a bit dumpy, but it's worth all 5 stars. What do you expect if you're sandwich is going to cost $3.50 out the door? It's a bargain and once you bite into it you will go there again. I haven't tried anything else there, but the sandwiches are exceptional. Hard to pick something else out when the sandwiches are so good.

Best vietnamese deli in Seattle. They serve their banh mi on a lightly toasted fresh French baguette. Wide variety of vietnamese snacks and dishes; spring rolls, egg rolls, hu tieu noodle soup, fried bananas, a la carte section as well. Yummy desserts!! Great friendly staff. Fast service. Consistant. Tammy is a nice lady! She's a gem!

I bought "Cha" here and it's molded. It's very disgusting. I called and asked them why is it molded. They said its because the weather is hot. That's just an excuse. I often buy "Cha" at a place in Edmonds near 99 Ranch Market and their "Cha" is always fresh and new. I wanted to try "Cha" at Tammy but very disappointed. Their customer service is bad. They don't care who's in line first. They sell to people who buy the most. Be aware of the food this restaurant serves because it can affect your health.

I LOVE this spot! Whenever I'm near, I always make time for a quick visit! Cheap, quick, fresh and they have almost every Vietnamese deli dish you could think of! Granted, I've never had anything other than their Banh Mi...but I visit pretty frequently and will eventually try their other dishes ;). Their Banh Mi is a plentiful portion of delicious flavors. The baguette is always fresh, their veggies are pickled to perfection and they've got their veggie/meat/pate/mayo ratio so right, my mouth is watering as I type...stop by, it's definitely worth a visit.

I would give this place a 5 star except the only thing stopping me frm doing so is jst the cramped space inside the bakery/deli tht I'm not such a fan of. Other than that this place is mine and my boyfriends banh mi spot! They got the best fresh bread. Not too hard not too soft, literally just fckn perfect! We always ask for no jalapeño but usually they jst don't understand. I just suggest to double check sandwiches before eating if any special request was made when ordering. Cash only!

This place is always busy during the day. They have a deli with a small selection. They offer bubble tea and other desserts that are pretty good. They also have small area to sit down and eat.

  • Carol H.

Good banh mi sandwiches and bubble tea. Most of the employees speak English so that's a plus. There's a huge variety of grab and go items, like appetizers, snacks and desserts. The fresh baked bread always smells so good! There isn't a lot of space inside so it can get pretty cramped. Parking on the weekends can be difficult. Wish they didn't close so early.

A review for their Che (a Vietnamese dessert)!! FOOD: This was the worst che I have EVER tried in my entire life. I would never get it again. I couldn't even finish it. We got the Che Thai and another with the grass jelly and pandan jelly. Never never again. It didn't taste fresh. It could have been made days ago... The pandan jelly is suppose to be chewy and it was like jello which is a NO NO! The Che Thai was super sweet and not appealing nor appetizing. SERVICE: The young lady at the cash register was very friendly and nice! (Only plus) PRESENTATION: It's a Vietnamese deli... It's messy with things everywhere! LOCATION: It is easy to find but their parking sucks! Also, there are terrible drivers so watch out of them! WOULD I COME BACK: Maybe to try something else like their sandwiches... maybe. ADVICE: Don't get their che!

LOVe the food. LOVE the quality, LOVe the selection! i just love vietnamese cuisine! I only live a mile or so away, so I come by whenever i remember to. The staff is usually attentive and make sure that you notice them and offer their help. All my family members LOVe coming by here whenever they are in the area. My only complain is that it gets pretty crowded sometimes, and parking can be a pain sometimes, AND they are a cash only business. But the food is so great that i'm only docking 1 star for the 3 negatives. :)

This place is pretty awesome! Cheap, lots of choices and fast. Nothing fancy, and make sure to have cash, though there is an ATM in the store if you forget. I really loved seeing all the fresh baked bread too. My favorite are their sandwiches, which I wish I'd ordered, cause I had to steal bites from my husband. Everything tasted good and fresh too. Parking and the neighborhood aren't the best, but worth a visit now and then.

Warning: graphic content you've been warned! Tammy's bakery is a convenient deli/bakery in my neighborhood, which is hidden in a plaza. Inside they are jam packed with a huge selection of much yummy hot deli foods, snacks desserts and boba drinks. What's not to like? I've been a fan for years because my dad was a fan, now he's no longer with us. His favorite thing to order was their Vietnamese iced coffee. Rip daddy, I miss you all the time. This is my to go place for banh mi sandwiches. My absolute favorite is their chicken banh mi , i always ask for it with chicken pâté which is 25 or 50 cent extra, because it doesn't come with it normally like all the other sandwiches. Chicken banh mi is something usually people wouldn't think of to order. When i think of banh mi, i would think of pork, bbq pork, grill pork, shredded pork. That is what most of us think when ordering banh mi sandwiches. One day i was left with no option when I decided to stop eating pork all of sudden all together, after finding out how dirty and diseased pigs can be. Also pigs will eat anything and everything including human flesh and bones, when killers and murders feed it to them. They leave behind no remains. I'm absolutely grossed out about that. Well don't let me be the one to ruin it for you if you don't already know. :p Before finding out the disturbing mess of pigs, I use to love grilled pork , bbq pork and shredded pork....and then after the discovery....... because I had no other options. I discovered tammy's chicken banh mi with chicken pâté!!! I will never look back to pork banh mi again. Not because of how disturbing I find pork now, but because their chicken banh mi is so damn good its fooreals damn addicting better than any pork I've ever tried before! I have officially converted my sister and cousin into chicken banh mi lovers, even though they both eat pork still, they now only order their chicken banh mi after discovering how delicious they are, thanks to me. You're welcome! I've been officially pork free for 2 years and proud. Chicken is a much much healthier option anyways. Try their Chicken banh mi. You cant compare it to the chicken anywhere else. I promise you won't be disappointed!!! Con's: - Cash only - Sad , that they raised the price on everything! No longer as affordable but this will not stop my cravings

On my never-ending quest for the perfect Banh Mi- I recently visited Tammy's Bakery and think I might have found my new favorite. Their grilled pork with pate is to die for. Affordable, large, diverse in fillings- I think Tammy's has one of the top five Banh Mi's in Seattle. I believe what gives them the edge is the fact that they are a bakery and make their own bread. You're guaranteed a fresh French roll for the Banh Mi- which makes a huge difference. For so many Banh Mis- the bread is where they fall short. I can say with certainty that I will be back at Tammy's for another sandwich soon.

Everything seem so good! Lots of options and it's hot! I bought some their sandwiches and a few desserts for my parents. The sandwich I ordered was banh mi dac biet #1 it was ok, not the best that would make you want another one but just ok.. kinda plain though but the bread was really good! Still, I had better sandwich then this. But will need to come back next time to try their drinks. They have a lot of options!

I always joke around and say this is my bakery since my name is Tammy and my friends and family love this place! I seriously come here all the time. Everything is so fairly priced and delicious for great quality and fresh food. Their banh mis are super yummy and their breakfast sandwiches are perfect for a small snack. I love stopping here before going to work cause i can grab one of the prepackaged meals for my lunch breaks. They're always fresh and delicious and cheap for a filling meal. Their bubble teas are also made with fresh fruit which I appreciate. They are a little pricier than other bbt places but that's what freshness costs! Most of the ladies and the one gent that works here are super nice, but there's always one lady who has a sour look on her face and looks angry all the time. The lines are sometimes nonexistent which results in just blobs of people trying to put in orders and pay. Parking is also a nightmare as somehow all the worst drivers in Seattle always end up in the tiny parking lot all at the same time. But it's all worth it for the bomb diggity food and prices! Remember to bring cash! They have an ATM but there is also a Chase across the street and a Bank of America on the same block by Safeway.

I'd guess besides Cajun Crawfish, that new seafood market and perhaps partially King Dynasty Foot Spa, King Plaza's tenants have all been here for -a- freakin' lo0oO0oOoong time - and Tammy's, for sure. ...Meh, maybe it just goes to show longevity doesn't necessarily prove quality; that or I didn't get the "good stuff". I've been in once a long time ago but my recent visit got me a pork combo banh mi and that banana dessert thing (the pink-toned banana in middle and golden brown outside); I've only had this banana dessert thing at ChuMinh Tofu and prefer theirs (Tammy's banana seemed to have had a higher moisture table and less flavor). The ladies are nice, though, and I sort of like the casual way of things. They have plenty of stuff to look at, be curious about, ask about and wonder how someone could eat certain things (weirdos, all you are! lol). I'd go back and try out any rice cakes, if I saw those (I love rice cakes... whether it bibingka (Flip), Japanese rice cakes, Chinese mochi yummies, Korean RC, etc. Yum. If someone knows what their specialty/specialties is/are, please let me know, merci! =D

I agree with a lot of the other posters here on Yelp. Not having price tags on anything is deceitful and leads to rampant ripping off of customers (especially the non-Vietnamese speaking ones). My experience was buying one of the pre-made "Banh it tran" styrofoam and saran wrapped items. I handed over a 5 dollar bill (the cashier didn't tell me the price) and she gave me no change. Looking back I should have asked the price, but I doubt she spoke English anyways. WTF, 5 dollars for an item that is usually 3.50 or at most 4.50 anywhere else. I left feeling scammed and dirty...haha. Oh, and the food wasn't great either. Compared to other Vietnamese place, the food pales in comparison (and I'm putting it nicely). This place is a mafioso-like place ripping off customers.

Whenever I'm in the MLK area I try and stop by here for cheap eats. They have a wide variety of snacks to choose from. You can get a banh mi made to order, ready made eggs rolls, pork balls, sweet steamed rice cakes, savory rice rolls, savory crepes, flan, garlic peanuts, breads with meat fillings, sesame balls filled with mongo beans and coconut and so much more that I cannot remember. Everything always looks so tempting. I love Vietnamese iced coffee and I usually get one here. Some days I get a craving for an avocado smoothie with boba. It is made with real avocado here and is so good. The boba here is cooked the way I like it, nice and soft with enough chew to it. At some places it isn't cooked very well and is hard. You can also order wedding/birthday cakes here with flavors like durian and pandan, although I haven't ordered or tried their cakes. Be sure to bring cash.

This will be my last time EVER!! They don't have any price on any items, give me different prices all the time. Today I bought 2 breads with a small sponge cake and they charged me $8.50. OmG!! I could order a meal with that price. Bad customer service and dirty!! Will NEVER EVER return. People! Avoid this place!!

  • Skinny L.

Holy !@#$. This place is fucking expensive! First, what's annoying is that there are no prices listed on any selection on the shelf so I had to specifically inquire about each item. 2nd, I thought to myself "wow, maybe I've just been spoiled in CA because everything here is !@#$ing expensive"... Nearly 6 bucks for 3 spring rolls that won't even fill me up?! Get the !@#$ outta here! I bought my buddy a sandwich to take home then took off down the street because they were sold out of the dish I wanted anyway... Lo and behold, everything down the street was $1-3 cheaper. The sandwiches sold there were even bigger on top of that too. P.S. my buddy said the sandwich wasn't even good...dry bread. I'll most likely nEeEeEver come back.

I've been searching for a good place to try a variety of Bahn Mi sandwiches, So far I've had there #3 GRILLED pork and the # 6 grilled pork with shredded pork with garlic along with the # 6 chicken sandwich and was happy with all three of them. The service is quick . The place of course is crowded at lunch time. But you can still get your take out in about ten minutes. The bread for the Bahn me is as fresh as you can get it. I would put the quality of the bread up against any french or danish bakery out there. Give this place a try.

They might be sprinkling crack in their food.. Shredded pork / garlic pork banh mi extra patte is on.. Avocado shake.. I can taste fresh avocados Cash only.. But they have a cash machine inside.. (Expect additional charges) Just double park... You won't be In that long.. Or take the train here.. It's right across from the Othello station..

Most overpriced deli in Saigon town (or whatever you want to call it). First off - I have been here more than 5 times and each time something just doesn't live up to the expectation that it is the food of someone who knows what the heck they are doing. First time - my combo ham sandwich did not have a lot of meat. It is called "special" for a reason! And I think they charge 50 cent more than everywhere else! Second time - the banana Che was weird, the banana was not soft enough...ok people ...if you can't cook banana Che, you need to fix something. Third time ?? - my coconut jelly (rau cau) was not as flavorful as it should be! But what is good about here? Convenient when you are eating bbh at restaurants close by. Lots of options for everything and if you got a white friend/spouse, they will think it taste just fine! The young lady (probably owner?) was friendly, speak English and let us have a taste of the che\. I can't say that for anywhere else. And I have to say, last time I was there, my ham sandwich actually turned out fine bc it did have a bunch of meat this time! So my opinion is mixed...I will come back due to sheer convenience factor but I won't drive out of my way to get anything from this place.

Rollin' down the street eatin' banh mi, sippin' on taro boba... ...laid back, with my mind on coconut jelly and coconut jelly on my mind. They have food stuffs that I can't pronounce, but oddly know what ingredients are in them. In addition to banh mi, they have a hot case full of delectables which I still have yet to try because I'm usually here for a lil something sweet to nibble or drink. They have a huge variety of colored rice cakes, black sesame cookies, even moon cakes. The refrigerated section is pretty impressive with a rainbow of refrigerated, jellified yumminess. The big surprise that I come back here for are the boba teas--and the multiple varieties they come in! They use fresh fruit in their smoothies, which not only cuts down on the fake sweetness that some other places have issues with, but it just tastes better, of course! I recommend their (non-fruit) Taro, (fruity) Papaya, Mango, Coconut and Pennywort drinks ^_^

I love vietnamese deli. Who doesn't? Fresh, home made banh mi, fresh egg rolls, meat balls... so fresh. Not to mention, their fresh noodles and wraps. I love coming here because I know that things are made fresh and I can count on that. I think their viet sandwiches are the of the best I've had, and they have a more full menu now than before. It's about $3.50 for a banh mi, which isn't too bad. I remember when they used to be a buck fifty growing up. Sometimes even a buck. But the economy has changed aye? haha. They have fresh cakes too and fresh breads and meatloaf. I'm not one to try their bubble tea as it's $4... no thanks. But even though this is one of my favorite deli's to go to, I hear from my Vietnamese friends this place isn't the cleanliness. So take you choice. Great egg rolls, fresh foods, best deli or cleanliness??? Lol. I say a true hole in the wall. Oh, they make fresh desserts too! I recommend their egg rolls, and their fresh vietnamese desserts. Also, they only take cash. Of course, sometimes, it's hard to get good service if you're not Vietnamese, but they try. :)

I just had a Vietnamese sandwich, the combo one. First I felt rushed I didn't know what I wanted yet and lady asked what I would like and she kept rushing me to order something. I decided fine I'll just get the combo. At first, I was impressed that they make it "fresh" on the spot instead of leaving them wrapped and just on a counter. Well I got my sandwich and well the pork was sour, the vegetables were bitter, the bread was a bit soggy. Was not happy at all. I didn't even take another bite. I'm actually more happy with the sandwiches that are just wrapped and left on top of the counters for sale more than that place. I'm giving it 3 stars because they do have a big variety of eats! And the bubble tea is delicious. But I don't think I'll be buying sandwiches from here again!

Food is great but them only accepting cash is really inconvient. They have a small atm inside their store in the corner.. DO NOT USE IT. I was charged $1.50 for using it which was acceptable to me but when I checked my bank statement, a separate transaction of $2.50 was made without my consent. I tried calling them but they wouldn't answer their phone. My $4 went down the drain.. Definitely not happy

I've been coming here for as long as i could remember. And if i've continued to come back over these past 20 years... and they're still around really says something about Tammy's Bakery. I was happy to see them expand 10 years ago. more room for more goodies! the bread is always baked fresh - i think that's what really does it. and the rice dishes and side dishes and desserts are always so damn good! Tammy's Bakery in a way is like Target... you walk in expecting only to buy one or two items (banh mi and cafe sua da) and walk out with three bags of baked goods, breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next day as well. haha. so take a tip... bring just enough cash otherwise you'll over indulge... 9 out of 10 times. so thank you Tammy's Bakery (and Julie!) for being around for as long as you have supplying us with deliciousness over these past 20 years... and i look forward to 20 more! CHEERS!

Came here twice out of the way (wish we had a local vietnamese deli). Both visit I spend $40 which tells me I must be a new fan of Tammy's deli. They have various Vietnamese To go snacks and sweets lay out on the table. Too Many to choose from, enough for me to just want to try one of everything. Their sandwich is to die for. My favorite is their noodles from the deli entree ($7.00) comes with choices of 2 sides. There's a few things that requires attention: It's cash only. No price mark, ask before you buy. Food sometimes could be undercooked or not fresh. Fried banana is hard and chewy. Overall it's a place to check out if you are craving for Vietnamese foods.

I never had their deli food before but, their bubble tea and banh mi Is so worth it. All their sandwiches are so big compare to other delis around the area and their bubble tea is so much better than the ambrosia across the street

Great big Vietnamese Deli with huge variety of sandwiches, baked goods, desserts, treats, boba and yes, more goodies! This Monkey patiently waited for wife to decide and did best not to add more and more things to the basket. Thank God it's CASH ONLY here, coz Monkey will go off with plastic. Can't tell you what we bought, coz i honestly don't know, but damn it was good! More please! Again!

I was in the area this past weekend and decided to stop in for a grilled pork bahn mi. It was exactly how I remembered it from years ago...juicy flavorful meat, pickled vegetables, soft roll, and just the right amount of cilantro and spread to make a perfect sandwich. Now I am craving another one. If you are in the area I would suggest hitting up Tammy's for a sandwich and to try any of their other deli selections.

4 stars for their sandwiches (bahn mi). Good stuff. As is their spring rolls (goi cuon). The food is tasty, and the cleanliness of the interior is also decent compared to a lot of other delis in the area. 1 star for their boba drinks. I would go elsewhere for this. I actually asked the lady to make it less sweet than usual. When I took the first (and last) sip, it was like they had poured a can of syrup into the cup.

This has to be the best Vietnamese sandwich I've ever had! Let's start with the most important ingredient of any sandwich: the bread. The bread is super fresh and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I mean it's a bakery, I assume they bake their bread on-site. It sure smelled heavenly. The inside if the sandwich was just as amazing. Some Vietnamese sandwiches have some sort of paste on the inside, I don't know what it is, but I don't like it. Some sandwiches have lotsa mayo. I don't like that either. There was something on this sandwich and like Goldilocks, I say the stuff that held this sandwich together was juuuust right. I ordered the grilled pork sandwich. The meat was lean and the portion was generous. What I liked the best were the veggies. The pickled carrots were julienned in a thicker slice than most, so they and the pickled daikon were really present in the sandwich and on my palate. Throw in some crispy onions a little cilantro and just the right amount of jalapeño and you have the perfectly constructed Vietnamese sandwich. I loved this place!

This review is strickly based on their banh mi.. and it's the best banh mi in town! When you step into Tammy's you'll immediately notice how crowded everything is due to the large tables of vietnamese deli foods in the middle as well as the numerous customers in and out making purchases. The banh mi is the best! They offer 15+ different banh mi sandwiches all under $3!! They're all made to order and the french rolls are very good - crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Anyone who loves a good banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) definitely needs to come visit Tammys.

The sandwiches here are pretty tasty. I love the bubble tea and the Che. I would definitely recommend this place. The prices are a little high compared to other traditional Vietnamese deli.

I walked in specifically looking for cakes because well, the store is a bakery after all. I was sorely disappointed by the lack of any and the thought that maybe they once sold cakes but it didn't do as well as their banh mis (the lines tell all). Even though there are Vietnamese pastries and baguettes, I feel like this is less of a bakery than it is a deli or food-to-go place. They also offer che, drinks, and a variety of pre-made food as well as packaged snacks. I had homemade bun bo hue waiting at my aunt's house so I had to pass on trying the sandwiches that everyone was waiting in line for. My cousin and I noted that none of the che behind the display window had been touched. Wow. That image alone speaks volumes. I am used to seeing trays of those ches half full or even empty. We decided to go for the Vietnamese dessert drinks instead. My cousin got the suong sau nuoc dua and I opted for the che ba mau. Each drink costs about $4. With the drinks in our hand, I flipped mine over to mix it before stabbing my straw in. Again, I was met with another wave of disappointment as I tasted the bland concoction of coconut milk, red beans, and pandan jelly. Large chunks of hardened mung bean got stuck to the end of my straw cutting of the stream of mixed ingredients. Not once, but three times. There were like 3-4 of these hardened mung bean chunks and even I had a hard time trying to break it apart with my straw. Wtheck! Needless to say, I did not even bother finishing my drink. Such a letdown on my last day in Seattle. Oh well, the homemade bun bo hue totally made up for it. So much that I had two bowls.

this review is more like a note to self. $5 for a Banh bot loc- banh beo, and banh beo was a huge disappointment. #10 sandwich was not the same - well i haven't been in for a while. also got some fresh baguette - last time i was in was $1 for 3 fresh baguette now is 1.25. cash only and there is no listed price on the deli items so cannot guess how much the price is. see lots of customers order drinks. maybe that is all that is still good about this place. noticed avocado smoothies and sugar cane drink and pennyworth with mungbean. but will probably will not be back again for only those drinks.

Legit banh mi If you want a banh mi that's loaded with juicy meat, liver pate, and fresh veggies, on a fresh loaf here you go. Meat to bread ratio is about 1.5:1 meaning you'll have sufficient meat for the amount of bread. I used to go to Tony's Bakery but they are stingy on the meat and I think everyone would prefer more meat in their mouth. I'm not a big fan of processed meat or bbq pork but even so I recommend the Banh Mi Dac Biet (#1) which is the combo of meats. The combination with the liver pate is AMAZING. I usually buy a bunch and just eat the rest the next day because I'm kinda addicted. All you need is a toaster oven and a microwave. FYI. They are CASH ONLY but I won't ding them a star for that.

Their banh mi shu mi are delightful! I always come here whenever I'm on my break to get their meatball on a stick and Vietnamese sandwiches! Their pennywort juice with green beans is my favorite, same price as their bubble tea but I rather prefer their pennywort or sugarcane juice

I love this place, I stop by here at least once a month and always before I go on road trips. food is fresh and delicious and full of vietnamese traditional flavors. I love their vemicelli togo bowls. So YUMMY. omgosh i want some right now. fairly priced. I wouldnt recommend eating the food with the yellow bean on top of sweet rice after 4:00pm. They sit there all day. I bought some one time, got home and it was stinky rotted. yuck! but i should've known. Accepts only CASH. Bank is right across the street. Good Food, Fair Priced. *Ten thumbs up!*

Best Vietnamese sandwiches I've ever had plus bubble tea in the city! Very kind employees. Today they even gave me a free dessert.

Finally got around to trying Tammy's sandwiches. I am a big fan of banh mi, with my current favorites being the chicken sandwich at Seattle Deli and the tofu at Q bakery. Q also wins the prize for best bread, IMO. The only problem is, Q's service isn't always the best. And last night, when we arrived at 6:30 for sandwiches (they close at 7), we were just told "no sandwiches" without any explanation...as they seemed to have a lot of bread left. So we hustled on down to Tammy's, and came home with 4 giant-size tofu banh mi...definitely the biggest I've had. They were very good. Lots more filling, including very flavorful tofu, than Q's. And their service is better, and friendlier. I will definitely go back to Tammy's!

This place is crazy. They have good sandwiches, but the best thing there to me is the Sugarcane drink. It's so good. It reminds me of Vietnam. But of course it taste better in Vietnam. When you walk in there are things everywhere. All the food is layed out on tables. And you just grab one and bring it to the counter. But sandwiches and drinks are made when ordered. So you first have to order it at the counter. The workers there speek poor English, but it's enough to understand. I love places where the English is poor, because it's a sign that the food is authenic. Which usually means delicious. Give this place a try if you are in the area and are looking for a sandwich or some delicious drinks. And don't be afraid to try something out of the ordinary. They got lots of that.

Although the staffs are hard to speak english with, this place is the best. The taro and thai tea bubble tea are my favorite. Their vietnamese sandwich is the bomb. and its affordable. I just wished they'd change back their tapioca size to bigger

I ordered an thai iced tea and they gave me the thai iced tea with the mountain dew flavor. Seriously? 4 dollars wasted. never come back for that item

Seaking vegan banh mi in/near Kent proved to be difficult! I decided first to try Tammy's in Rainier Valley because of all of the good reviews. They do have a good-sized menu with many options. The tofu and veggie sandwich was quite good. Make sure to specify no-mayo! I forgot but ate it anyway. The sandwich was so tasty. The bread was fresh and chewy with a nice crust. The tofu was delicious and the pickled veggies were perfect. What I appreciated most was that they didn't pile on the jalapenos. I'm not a fan of heat, so having just one slice was great (and easy to pick out!) My husband had both the meatball banh mi and the combo banh mi. He loved them both. Tammy's seems to be a destination, and I can see why. The sandwiches were tasty and very affordable at $3-3.50 each. The store also has a GIANT boba menu and tables full of any kind of treat and to-go meal you could ask for. My suggestion for Tammy's is that they put labels on everything. There were many items that I couldn't determine the constitution of, and may have purchased! Other info: - They are cash only, but cheap, so a trip to the ATM might not be necessary. - The parking lot is tiny and cramped! In all, I would happily head back to Tammy's Bakery and I probably will after a few more recon missions around town.

I would give 5 stars for the banh mi and the value, but the rest of the things I have tried as well as the customer service would be 3 stars. I think any sandwich you order will be amazing. The ingredients taste very fresh and the sandwiches are made to order. The hot case items are always way too oily or way too dry. The prepared rice and noodle boxes/plates are always a decent cheap eat, but again very oily. Lastly, the women who work there never smile, but they get the job done. Guess I shouldn't expect too much at a deli/to-go place, but I always believe that good customer service goes a long way. Tammy's is certainly a great place to grab a quick and cheap eat, but I always feel like I need to run a 10k afterward.

Never go there! Warning! My boyfriend got food poison after having Vietnamese combo sandwich and had to take 3 work days off. That's terrible. Never comeback again :(

  • Quyen T.

The banh mi here is great! I especially love their number 3, aka BBQ pork. They also have a lot other Vietnamese items, such as Che Ba Mau (3 beans dessert), Goi Cuon (Spring Rolls), and a whole lot more!

I'm so upset that I just discovered this place! One of the best sandwiches around Seattle. The bread, meat and sauce are on point. Typical Vietnamese deli that sells hot foods, sandwiches, bubble tea. They do make huge platter size batches of popular items such as bun cuon if you plan on picking some up for parties. These are ready made and are sitting outside on the counter. If you don't eat your sandwich right away, it's best to put it in the toaster oven before you eat it as the bread will be perfectly warm and crispy.

The last time I was at this deli I was only 6-7yrs old. Nothing had changed besides the deli is now much bigger! The food is still as amazing as I remembered lol the owner even remembered my mom when I mentioned her lol!!! Cozy little atmosphere and friendly staff!! Cam on co nhieu nhe!! Con gai cua my ly

I have been going here since I was a little girl! My FAVORITE thing about this place (besides their banh mi) is that they have FRESH sugar cane juice. FRESH! Ever since I went to visit Cambodia I always crave fresh sugar cane juice. Which is very hard to find. Its about 6 dollars for it but worth every single sip! Yum! My next favorite thing is that they make the best Vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi) on this planet! They have EVERYTHING at this bakery and they are super cheap! I always order the combination sandwich with no jalapenos. Everything about the sandwich is just perfect! The bread is always so fresh (its my favorite part), the mayo is never overdone, the meats are just delish, the carrots and daikon are pickled perfectly. Its heaven in a sandwich, seriously!. Some other things to try are eggrolls, hum bao, meatball on stick, rice dishes, anything that is wrapped and already prepared, their fresh buns. Everything. I love this place. They satisfy my taste buds. Don't try the bubble tea though. Its the only thing I wouldn't recommend. One thing I will say is, parking is a PAIN. Its small, cramped, and full of asian drivers! Parking there is like The Hunger Games. Its no joke. Also they only accept cash. They have an ATM on location but you get charged a ridiculous fee as you do with every random ATM. But don't let that discourage you. Give this place a chance! They've been in business for many years and still maintain their awesomeness! Must mean they're doing something right! (:

The Sandwiches! They get your order right most of the time, but the sandwiches and spring rolls rock. 2.50 is an awesome value for sandwiches, and ~2$ for spring rolls. The bad: prices are not marked on non-sandwich items (or marked in Vietnamese), sometimes, the item is not described, hence you won't know what it is until you buy it. Overall, I love Tammy's...walking distance from Othello LR station.

For me, it is always a welcome sight to see these types of Vietnamese Delis as I can always feed the need for inexpensive snacks that are both filling and variegated. I always look for the most popular items that we all love and enjoy: Vietnamese sandwiches (aka Banh Mi), fresh french bread and boy does this place have some huge monster ones, desserts such as flans, jellies, bobas, and other neat items. Cool beans and make sure you have CASH only.

  • Frank S.

Best Vietnamese sandwiches I have had in south end of Seattle. Very busy spot with a very friendly staff who are helpful in explaining dishes. Huge mix of customers is great too. I recommend the iced coffee. Strong and sweet. Will give u a buzz

I come here for my holiday catering needs: Goi Cuon & fried rice. I am very pleased with the food they prepare. When you walk in you'll see pastries on the tables. They also have a deli counter where you can buy a variety of Vietnamese food: sandwiches, meatball sticks, bubble tea, etc... The only odd thing is when I order they have to grab the gal that speaks English. I don't request for her. Once I start speaking English they tell me to wait then they go find her. So if you're ever on the light rail and want a quick snack, this is the place to go. Get off at Othello Station.

I've traveled to many different Vietnamese deli's and bakeries and this one was just eh. They do have a nice selection of banh mi's under $3 (which is how much they should cost!) which looked amazingly good, but I didn't get a chance to try them, but next time I will grab a few. Instead I was in for some a good boba drink and I left disappointed. I always judge a place by its mango drink, and so I tried one for $4.75 (ripoff). They used fresh mango which is awesome, however whatever else they put in it tasted like chalk and overpowered the entire drink. This nearly $5 drink was disgusting and a waste of money (hell even Starbucks is cheaper!). I felt compelled to drink it since I paid so much for it. Another disappointment, but I'm not giving up. Note that this place is cash only, but there's a Chase bank right across the street. Also watch out for the ghetto people who try to run you over in the parking lot.

  • Trang M.

Love my vietnamese deli joints, snacks, dessert, prepared food galore. They're cheap, and help when you don't want to cook or need a quick snack. Haven't gotten the banh mi yet, but their french breads are good, fresh, crusty on the outside and soft in the middle. The people here are nice, don't expect cheery service, it wouldn't be a Viet deli if they acted like they worked at Disney Land. Make sure your bring that cash money too, otherwise you will have to walk across the street to Chase.

  • Alanna M.

Tammy's offers a variety of Vietnamese snacks including banh mi (also known as the vietnamese sandwich) and hot deli foods. They have bubble teas and other asian type beverages and Che (vietnamese desserts). Be sure to have cash because they dont accept credit cards. My favorite is ice coffee and pennyworth drink.

Friendly service & Awesome Banh Mi!!!! I don't live in the area, but when I'm not in a rush and craving one of their sandwiches, I'll definitely make it a point to swing through and grab one to go. I really enjoy the hoagie rolls they use for the sandwiches; fresh and crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. BUT DON'T FORGET TO BRING CASH!

i am so lucky to live just a few blocks from tammy's. they have absolutely the best milk tea boba around, hands down! i love their breakfast sandwiches, sweet and salty with ham and a perfectly cooked egg. their grilled pork and combo banh mi's are great and i wish i knew the names of all the other little goodies on the table, but the random ones ive tried are spot on as well. just a great little bakery overall, but darn it...cash only!!! the major con...it's in king's plaza. drivers beware, NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE THERE!!!!

    (4)
  • Monica N.

CASH ONLY. Tammy's bakery is located in Rainier in King Plaza on the corner, a little hidden but worth the extra look. The Avocado Shake/Bubble Tea is delicious. It's made of real avocado and I always get it when I come here. The store is a decent size for a bakery and it is PACKED with foods. TONS as a matter of fact. From hot foods such as soups and desserts to packaged foods such as breaded items and fried items are all here. Not so bad prices and a great selection. I usually get the Banh Mi, desserts, the meatballs on a stick and yes the bubble tea!

I haven't reviewed this place yet? Well, I'm gonna have to give them 3 1/2 stars because 4 just seemed like too much. This place has been here for like EVER and yes when I moved away from Seattle, (I've been back for 2yrs now), I did miss it quite a bit. Primarily I only come here for the sandwiches and sometimes other ready to eat things. It varies how good the sandwiches are in my opinion. Different people make it on different days so sometimes it's the absolute best and other times it's a total let down. I don't like onions in my sandwiches and apparently it's a big effort for them to not include it because every time I ask for no onions, I get the evil eye. Then again, it depends on who I'm talking to. It's a Viet store and let's face it, if you don't speak Viet be prepared to be skipped over. I've had many customers push ahead of me and start yelling out what they want and the workers just serve them first, regardless if they knew I had been waiting. What can you do, right? Last time I came here, I bought the humbao. Oh god, it was the saddest excuse for a humbao. It tasted like it was a week old I kid you not. I wouldn't be surprised if it really was too... Bubble tea here is SUPER freaken sweet! I don't know about you guys but I do not like my bubble tea with twenty thousand pumps of syrup. It's too bad they don't use fresh fruit but you can't expect all that here. It's not their specialty. I never bought any of the hot foods here only because as I stated before, it's all about the sandwiches for me. Good bang for your buck, I'd recommend this place. Remember, cash only.

Tammy's is a pretty typical Vietnamese bakery with all kinds of baked goods and fresh foods like banh mi sandwiches, fresh spring rolls, etc... Nothing really sets them apart from others I've been to, but they've remained consistently good as I've frequented the shop over the years. Prices have remained cheap and it's def a great value for the price.

I still need to try the banh mis here and compare them to Seattle Deli's. But I've came here with my dad after stuffing ourselves with bun bo hue and bun rieu at Hoang Lan (just around the corner) and we step inside the bakery filled with delicious looking foods. I get intrigued by everything and so has my dad. So much that he starts pointing at everything and putting together in a pile to buy (I had to control him). haha.. He buys a container of four baos with pork/sausage/egg and some sweet pastries and two drinks - avocado milkshake (for me!) and four bean (for him). We take our goodies back home and start to eat them for dinner. Delicious baos so good that I went back yesterday just to buy some more! They're big sized unlike the chai sui baos from dim sum. Definitely tasty with the hard boiled egg stuffed inside.

Tammy's Bakery = Che Ba Mau... that's it for me. I don't think I've had anything else from this bakery.... or nothing I can remember at least. This place is a ways away from home for me, so it's always a treat when I do get to stop by. Regardless of the fattiness that can come out of this bubble tea sized dessert drink... I still finish it. Yum! A lot of their other stuff looks good too (drinks, egg rolls, typical Viet deli desserts and snacks, etc). CASH ONLY!!

This place shuts it down. There is one Vietnamese dish they make that no other place in the area makes. It is Banh Uot Coun Thit Noung, what this is a rendition of a spring using grilled pork and wrapped with chow fun noodles. If you are a grilled pork sandwich fan, this takes it to the next level. They usually make a few of these plates a day, but you can call ahead for the morning of for an advance order for $1 a roll. Man... Another dish that separates them from the pack is their desert - Che' Ba Mau which is a mixture of red bean, some yellow bean, and coconut milk. First they serve in a solid size 14 oz cup oppose to the 6oz cup of other deli's. Just the right amount of sweetness to give a blissful bit in every scoop. This is about $4. Sandwiches are good, your not eating too much bread per bite, a lot to choose from. Lots of other a la carte dishes and variation of spring rolls, I dont get bored unlike the other deli's. Bottom line this place brings it, and if I could I would franchise them. Downside is I live close to the other deli's but Tammy's is worth the drive.

I miss living in south Seattle. I didn't live very far from Tammy's. Tammy's is my favorite place to buy a banh mi & avocado shake from. The sandwiches are fairly priced and the avocado shakes (bubble tea) are made with real fruit and not powder. If you want a meal, Tammy also serves hot cooked foods or stuff you can just heat at home.

Tammy's bakery did an amazing job on our wedding cake! We brought in a picture and they mimicked it perfectly. The first time we met with Julie the owner, she sent us home with at least 6 different cake samples to try. Price per cake was rather reasonable and we were able to mix and match the layers. They delivered the cake right to the restaurant and even called a few days prior to confirm with us. Usually it's the other way around. Everyone complimented on our cake and I'm sad we only got to taste it when we cut the cake. Way better than Mimi's Bakery down the street. Better in price, service and quality! I would definitely recommend my fellow brides to tammy's bakery for their wedding cake. Make sure you ask to speak with Julie.

3.5 HIDDEN TREASURE IN THE SOUTH END I've been introduced to Tammy's Cafe/Bakery this week and have been considering make frequent stops to the place. I shouldnt be so judgemental with gentrification areas but my first impression was eh, typical corner market spot. But when I walked in I felt like I was at a local store in the International District where I usually by my Vietnamese items. There was alot of fresh everything on the shelves and stand. I had a Honeydew BubbleTea, Vietnamese SpringRoll, and a Sandwhich with ham and egg. All items were very delicious but the spring roll had too much basil. I felt like I was just eating basil. I saved half of my Sandwhich with ham and egg (which was SO delicious) for the next morning and had a stomach ache. I gone back this week from the first time I came to Tammy's to try out their Vietnamese Sandwhiches. Everyone walking in the joint kept ordering them. It has to be a must-try item. But as I tried it I ordered the Shredded Pork and Garlic Vietnamese Sandwhich. I didn't like the clear noodles that look like worms in my sandwhich. The sandwhich itself was okay. I may need to go back and try the BBQ Pork, the usual, to play it safe.

Really good place to grab Vietnamese cuisine on the go for home or office. Sandwiches are very fair priced. Also selection of baked goods, spring rolls, egg rolls, noodles, soup, and vast array of desserts. Everything is spread out so take the time to explore all the delightful selections. Also recommend the drinks and iced coffee. Beware: Parking lot is a total nightmare and they are CASH ONLY.

Tasty Bakery treats, cheap and quick lunch meals, tasty Vietnamese Sandwiches. For the South End of Seattle, this place does the trick if you want a good Vietnamese Snack. Grilled Chicken sandwhich and an egg roll does the trick. Can be busy at times, but you will get your food if your patient. Not the ubber best deli, but pretty good for the location. Don't forget to get your ice coffee!

Tammy's Bakery is located in the heart of zip code 98118, the most diverse zip code in all of the U.S according to last year's census. It's located in King Plaza which is at the foot steps of Othello St. Link Light Rail Station. This is important to know because if you want to go there to buy some delicious food, you might consider taking the Light Rail there LOL. The parking lot always seems to be full and people are always double parking. Tammy's Bakery is one of the more reliable Vietnamese deli's around. Their food is consistently good and so is their service. Their banh mi rocks and their Vietnamese ice coffee kicks my butt each and every time haha. Tammy's Bakery also has a wide array of dishes, including desserts. Their breakfast sandwiches are also good. Add Vietnamese ice coffee to that and you'll have a photastic morning! Go say hi to Tammy! :)

This place makes the best AVOCADO SMOOTHIE! The other desserts and vietnamese deli items are mediocre, but I'd definitely recommend trying all the bubble tea. I love that they use real fruit! Jack Fruit is also one of my faves. Just remember that it's cash only, but they do have an ATM located in the corner.

Great food! Been hitting this place up for years now. Great Vietnamese sandwiches, Boba Tea, and Asian hot foods. Make sure you have eaten the type of foods before, I have been lucky to have a variety of friends: Vietnamese, Cambodian, Thai. So I know my way around this place and what to eat. The fried hotdog buns, Vietnamese sandwiches, and all the other fried bakery foods is great. They also have great breads! Oh yeah cash only.

Tammy's Bakery is yet another phenomenal find in the Rainier Valley that if not for Link light rail, I would not have checked out otherwise. During a lunch break (you can easily get there and back downtown within an hour on the train) I decided to check it out and see what all the fuss was about. The bakery, if you don't know already, is a Vietnamese bakery, which is not very similar to a French or American bakery; it's more like a combo deli and bakery. When i walked in, I was overwhelmed by all the different assortments of food available, not know what have of them were. Luckily though, I had pre-planned on what I wanted, which was a bahn mi sandwich. There were a bunch of menu options on the wall, and i opted for the grilled pork. While waiting, I also picked up a pre-made pork humbow on a whim, because it looked good and was pretty hungry. Both were excellent - the bahn mi had great flavor and the french bread had a perfect crisp when bitten into. While I was very satisfied with my meal, the price was even better! It was only $2.50 for the sandwich, and a $1.25 for the humbow - out of there for less than 5 bucks! I'll definitely be back for more excursions via the Link light rail, which is literally directly across the street from the bakery. Tammy's is also accessible via KC Metro on the #8 and #36 from Capitol Hill and Beacon Hill, respectively.

For the most part, Tammy's is awesome. The egg rolls are 50 cents and are delicious, and for lunch today, I had a roasted chicken breast with sticky rice. It cost $4 only, and i felt stuffed after I finished it. I also had some Vietnamese coffee bubble tea, that contained enough caffeine and sugar for a looong time. However, one warning! The ingredients on their packaged goods are not correct sometimes, so if you have allergies, watch out! I bought a package of the chuoi nep nuong for dinner, or Baked Banana Wrapped Inside Sweet Rice. So, I assumed that the ingredients were banana and sweet rice. It didn't mention the shredded coconut that's also in the dish, which I'm allergic to. It got dumped in the compost, and now dinner is some Benedryl until the allergic reaction passes. So, it's perfect if you're up for food adventure. But not necessarily if you have food allergies. (They also use a lot of peanuts, so also watch out if you're allergic to that as well).

We ordered our wedding cake here. They were easy to work with. All we had to do was show a picture and they created it. We saved tons of money. It looked and tasted great. It was a 3 layer cake that we were able to cut over 200 pieces. The cake was delivered to the venue without a problem. This is a cash only place.

It's pretty good, definatley a lot of great Vietnamese food to choose from but it's on the expensive side for a Vietnamese deli........kind of a far drive too if you don't live in the area. If you do live in the area though it's a good place to stop by for snacks.

Love Vietnamese deli & bakeries and this place didn't disappoint. A range of items from Banh Mi, finger food, a la carte, to bubble tea. We got lunch here one day. Baked chicken really good. A vegetarian item consisting of noodles, bean sprouts, and tofu; delicious. We got spring rolls as well but didn't try them but look appetizing. You can tell everything is authentic and looks freshly prepared. Worth a try.

First off, if you do not speak Vietnamese, it would be wise to travel in a group with at least one person whom is relatively fluent in the language because it was near impossible for me to order some of the more traditional dishes without an easy direct translation into English. As for those whom are similar to us and frequent the Vietnamese delicatessens in search of banh mi, there is a rather straightforward menu with prices that range from two dollars for the basic sandwiches to two dollars and a half for a few of the fancier sandwiches with more ingredients. Probably one of the larger Vietnamese delicatessens we have encountered and definitely one of the cleaner ones, the establishment provides a variety of quick lunch orders as well as several baked goods and desserts. Of course, another Vietnamese establishment so of course only cash is accepted; one of the minor details that often irks our group.

I live in an area with very limited Vietnamese food therefore we do not have good Banh Mi. Tammy's banh mi is one my favorite out of all the places i've tried even in Vietnam. My brother love their Banh Mi Thit Nuong and even though I like it, I like their Banh Mi Thit Nguoi so much more. The bread is so flaky, and the mayonnaise has a hint of wasabi sometimes which is great. I also enjoy some of their Com Binh Dan (Commoners Lunch) such as Ga Kho, Banh Canh, Canh Bun, and etc. They also offer sugarcane and pennyworth juice...my favorite!

  • Howard L.

its ok. All my friends talk about this place and I've been here a few times probably over the past 10 plus years. Everybody tells me they have the best Banh Mi, or Vietnamese Sandwiches. I highly disagree. Actually...I don't even like their sandwiches. This is only a preference of taste though, so just because i do not like them does not mean that nobody else will. I prefer Tony's bakery down the street. Big difference? Tony's makes their own bread, its lighter, crispier and fluffier. They have a special duck sandwich that is to die for. Shredded succulent braised duck with perfectly cooked scrambled egg and light toasted bread. That is an example of why I prefer other places over Tammy's. If my friends go, I'll follow, because the place isn't bad and I do not mind spending a couple dollars

Try the tofu sandwich wonderfully delicious! They also have coconut jelly! Fresh real avocado smoothie more pricier than other delis. They have awesome fresh deli hot food particularly like their vegetarian tofu and bamboo kho. veggies stir fry was ok. They also have vegetarian beef stew ( bun bo hue chay). They have very fresh banh Hoi wish there was more fish sauce than the tiny amount they give wasn't enough.

Tammy's Bakery definitely saved the day and I'm glad I saved my appetite because Venus did not do it for me. My mom, sis, and me stuffed our faces with their taro and sticky rice dessert with coconut milk, and I was back to my normal self again. It's like magic in a dessert cup.

I want to give them 3.5 stars but since I can't I'll give them a 4. OMG I LOOOOOVE THEIR EGGROLLS. I swear, they're so addicting I'm always wondering if they put some kind of drugs in them ;) I swear I could eat their eggrolls all day. As a matter of fact, I could eat 10 in one sitting. LOL! Okay... point is... the eggrolls are DELICIOUS. When I'm in the area, I HAVE to go pick some up. Ironically, it's becoming a drug to me. I HAVE to HAVE SOME or ELSE! Their meatballs on a stick is pretty good too. They give your tongue a funny feel but worth it. If I'm wanting a banh mi, I usually order the #1 dac biet. MMM love it when they fill it with fatty meat but sometimes they are a bit stingy - like why the hell are you only giving me ONE jalapeno? Are you serious? I'm not a big fan of their packed lunches/boxes whatever you call them. Everytime I've gotten something, it hasn't been good at all. OMG everytime I get the banh cuon here it's freakin NAST! The noodle is Hard and weird tasting... FAIL! They should make their hot food look more appealing though. I've never been interested in their hot food which is a downer because I love hot food/lunch boxes at delis. Why I'm dropping a star?? I bet you can guess... this place was voted as one of the dirtiest delicious places in Seattle. LOL. Was that a joke? I'd say not. There's been at least 3+ occasions that I've found hair in one of the desserts I've bought or one that's sitting on the counter. I mean, finding hair once is eh... but 3 times or more??? There must be a problem. But hey, I still go back 'cause the price is good and the EGGROLLS ARE BOOOMMB. :D

I think this place is getting expensive compare to the other Vietnamese deli! the food I think is about the same as most deli, nothing really special, I've stop coming back here since I'd rather spend my money eating at a pho place for the same price of getting lunch here =\

The first time I came in, I asked for all the prices of the egg rolls as they were taunting me. 50 cent each. WOW, i had to buy 6 of them, as I was chowing down one, the sweet lady gave me another one free! next i ordered the shredded pork and garlic vietnam sammich and it wasn't what i expected. it was more like pork noodles, yuck, but i love my vietnam sammich so i finished it. the next couple days, i tried their bbq pork and grill pork vietnam sammich and it was SOO GOOD, if my starcraft buddies see me chowing down on my mac, they would be jealous. the place always seems crowded, it must be the spot for the seattle peeps and i notice not much people order the bubble tea, so i ordered the honey dew and it was pretty gross and i think they put in real fruits since it was pretty pulpy and they put in the tapioca without asking me, of course they read my mind. i'm glad i live a few blocks away from this place! P.S. they don't take cash, but there's chase and bank of america next road down

Tammy isn't a bakery like my Dad used to take me to every Saturday for doughnuts. You won't find sliced whole wheat there for peanut butter sandwiches, or those big bitey sugar cookies in fun shapes with that hard, colorful bakery frosting. Nope, Tammy is a Vietnamese bakery. Not everything is labeled in English. Not all the staff really speaks English, either. It's like Uwajimaya, but without the big clams. It's an adventure--hang on! You won't find all the old-fashioned American staples, but what you do find, you'll enjoy. You'll find cream puffs and slightly-too-puffy baguettes (but certainly much better than Safeway's, which is the other choice in this neighborhood). You'll find excellent banh mi (get brave and move beyond chicken!) and scary gelatinous bean desserts. You'll find bubble tea, a variety of hot entrees, and very light, fruit-filled cakes. There might be a muffin or a cookie in that case, but skip it. Stick with the Vietnamese/French stuff. I'm not sure I'd make a trip from another neighborhood just to go to Tammy, but if you're in the area (and more and more of us are moving south these days, for the diversity and home-ownership opportunities), it's worth a stop. If I want a cookie, I bake it myself, But Tammy Bakery has plenty of other treats in store.

i love their banh mi (viet sandwiches) and also their egg rolls! They have pretty good sweets like their fruit cake & other deserts. the only thing that sucks that they do not accept cc, there's an atm in the corner, but still! it gets very crowed here and there, but food is great! oh, you might be ignored if they don't want to help you. that's the only thing that i hate is there service. other than that food is good =)

The vietnamese sandwiches are pretty good, and i've had a couple of salad noodle things that are decent. other than that- i've had better UPDATE: My mom started going here since it's near the school she works at and the food has def. gotten better. The dumplings filled with dried shrimp are great and I like their Vietnamese baguettes. What really upped their rating was the customer service that I received when I went in. Instead of ignoring me for the Vietnamese customers, a woman actually paid attention to my English-speakin self and was super nice. The tapioca balls in their Boba could be cooked longer though.

Ahh, I love this place. I went back again today to try some more grab-and-go food as well as another Banh mi. As usual, the sandwich was crispy, BBQ pork was tender, veggies were crispy, and the sauce tangy. This time, I decided to try the sticky rice with sausage/shrimp/chicken mix on top (they have a few varieties of the sticky rice). Having tried certain kinds in Chinese cuisine, I adore sticky rice dishes. This one did not fail me. The rice was filling and with the meats plus some soy sauce on top, it was all very tasty. The total was $2.25 (BBQ banh mi sandwich) + $2.50 (sticky rice) = $4.75 tax included. Cheap fantastic lunch. And the place is wonderfully accessible via light rail.

This place is amazing. I have been to a few other Chinese style and Vietnamese bakery's -- and though I am not a real expert on the cuisine -- this place does handsprings around the others. First, the selection is amazing, from Savory meals to sweets, to Western style croissants to packets of sticky rice in banana leaves, it would take me several months to try it all out. True, there is not much English support, but staff is friendly and helpful. All of the baked goods were incredibly fresh and all the meals were beautifully packaged. I have also seen similar plastic wrapped trays in Little Vietnam that were much less enticing, these I would trust. I did get too shrimp spring rolls that were wonderful. The peanut dipping sauce was surprisingly hot and especially delicious. I was there on a Saturday morning, and there was so much fresh stock. And beautiful french bread. I only wish this place wasn't 15+ miles from my house!

This place is awesome. I live close by, but have been known to try a vietnamese sandwich or two in my time. They are inexpensive, only 2.50 for a grilled pork sandwich, and you can get yourself a vietnamese coffee for another 1.50. They also have a buffet of vietnamese mystery meats for snacking, a bakery to the right of the hot food, and they'll make you a bubble tea to go with your fluffy wedding cake. Buy three rolls of french bread here for 1.00, and you can make your own vietnamese sandwiches at home.

ordered 2 banh mi, bun, and 2 coffees-$20 bucks (great deal) banh mi (pork) had a weird after taste (chemically), and the coffee was way too sweet (sweeter than the norm) and had a old coffee bean after taste. I might go back b/c they are close to the light rail i ride-but otherwise just kind of "meh".

Occasionally, would stop by and grab something quick to eat here. Always thought that the food was decent for the price. Grew up in the South end and am aware and use to the cleanliness or lack of. Would have rated higher before until my one experience of buying one of the prepackaged salad rolls. Brought as a snack at a recent camp trip, was starving and unwrapped the roll. As I was separating one roll from the other, it split partial open and wrapped inside was an "antennae pet" still ALIVE eagerly trying to get out! Needless to say, I won't be returning!

Some of the best Vietnamese food I've eaten in Seattle and indistinguishable from Vietnamese I've eaten in Vietnam. Complete with grubby eating nook with a blaring TV in the corner. Seattle would be nothing without this place and others of its ilk. This place is nowhere near where I live but I'd make the trip just for a sandwich and some coconut juice.

Tammy and her daughter are very friendly, the rest of the staff could care less. But hey, why should they fake it for us? The place is very well run. Cleaner than Tony's. They have congee here, and Tony's doesn't, and they have a more developed sweet bakery section. Their sandwiches are better than Tony's. For my money, the food is slightly less interesting than at Tony's. Maybe all the dirt at Tony's provides added dimension.
