It seems as if Subway has just as many locations are Starbucks in Seattle. This store is pretty much the same as the other locations I've been to. Subway really does have consistency nailed. No matter what store you go to the bread, meat and veggies all seem to be of consistent quality. This store is no exception.

(Let me preface by saying that as Subway's go, this is one of the best I've been to. I just can't give Subway more than 2 stars. Ok, that said, onto the review!...) Clunk, Chug, Spring! Clunk, Chug, Spring! Yup, this is the feeling you get when you go to Subway, like you are a widget on a factory belt, waiting to get stamped through a machine that will spit out your sandwich in record time, just so the next widget (the guy next to you!) can roll forward. Is THIS truly the "way" of the sub? Or maybe the name Subway is meant as an overtone to the New York Subway system -- where millions get efficiently processed every day. Regardless, like McDonald's, I still occasion Subway. This particular store (I prefer to call it a store over a restaurant) has been open for about 2 months now, and as Subways go, it is particularly clean, neat, and efficient. Perhaps this store represents the ultimate in the Subway "experience". There always seems to be a line, even after traditional lunch hours, and there is no chitchatting beyond "NEXT?!" But the ingredients here are ALWAYS super-fresh, like they were magically JUST sliced for your sandwich, even though you saw them come from a veggie-bin behind the sneezeguard. You also gotta love the terrific values -- $5 footlongs, Daily 6" subs for $2.99 -- really great deals. Even with all the ingredient choices they offer, for some reason, Subway sandwiches just aren't very good -- especially compared to the main competitor, Quiznos. Still, Subway HAS come a long way since offering only "white" or "wheat" bread (thanks to Quizno's I'm sure)-- now they have at least a half a dozen kinds of better tasting breads, and they offer heated sandwiches, double-meat features, and, of course, the daily deals. And I AM a fan of their chicken noodle soup for a simple snack -- has a citrus-y tinge to it that I like, but not particularly hearty or anything. Somehow I always leave a Subway feeling a little less hungry, but a lot more "processed". Not really satisfied, not particularly upset -- just kind like nothing -- like on Prozac or something. Yeah, that's it -- on Prozac, and just a little bit used, too, ya know? PROS: Quick service, fresh ingredients, great values. CONS: Sandwiches with no heart, de-personalized, with absolutely zero atmosphere, unless you like hanging out in numbing factories for kicks.

Beware! This Subway franchise does not honor the national Subway promotions such as "Januany 5 Dollar Footlongs" where any sub is $5. They only have 3 choices for the $5 footlongs regularly and they are not very good. I used to go to this store as a dinner break last resort since it was very close to my workplace. Now that they are gouging customers for every penny by not following the corporation's promotions I will no longer go. Which is really no big deal because as far as sandwich shops go, you really can't get much worse than Subway. All of their meat tastes the same because they are all turkey-based. So no matter what sub you are ordering you are really getting a turkey sub. Not much care goes in the ingredients or the making of your sub. You're better off buying a sandwich from the grocery store, making your own or going to Jimmy John's.

I made my last visit here today -- NEVER again. The employees are so frazzled, they have no personality or ability to even say hello. The service was haphazard, and by the time I got my order, the line was streaming out the door. I don't know what happened to the dark-haired guy with the glasses who used to run this place -- he was friendly and things seemed fairly well-organized until he left. I ordered one of the hot meatball sandwiches today. The panicked look on the employee's face when I asked for it should have been a clue that I should go with something else. Apparently they hadn't heated-up the meatballs for the lunch rush. He put them in the micro, and then finished my sub. Stone cold. Not lukewarm. Stone cold. I ended up throwing half of my $8 lunch in the trash. I realize there aren't many options for lunch in this neighborhood, but I would suggest skipping this Subway.

Subway. Subway. Subway. I love love love your flatbread sandwiches. Love. I always get it with chicken breast, mozerella, loaded with veggies, light mayo/mustard. Best thing ever right now. The people at this location are super friendly always.

The staff at this Subway works hard at the rush times and always has treated me great. This is a good place to grab a quick sandwich, chips and a drink when you don't have time for anything else. I would probably give this a few more points than a Jimmy John's sandwich. There are a few little tables if you want to eat there.
