Pretty Good, Soprano's! First time, going in to your restaurant, we had dough-y pizza- like it had not been cooked long enough...and we had ordered the BBQ chicken pie- dry chicken, but tasty sauce! But tonight- I wanted to give another chance, and ordered a Pepperoni with the monthly special (half ceasar salad)- It got to my door in under 30 minutes, the Pepperoni is GIGANTIC!!! The cheese tasted great, and the SALAD was HUGE- (with 2 containers of dressing- YAY!) I'm a new fan, now- Delicious! Thanks!

I love their pizza. Combine it with a coupon to get free chicken wings which are amazing. The delivery is very quick. The only con I can think of is what I'm assuming is the owner's wife. She can be pretty damn rude and it seems like she really doesn't want to be there. When I ate at the restaurant, I also noticed she could have made do with not dousing herself in perfume. Aside from her though, I love Soprano's Pizza.

I just finished my first pizza from Soprano's, delivered to me extremely fast. I tried this place out due to the reviews on here. I ended up ordering the Chevre Macedonian, and what I got was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten in my life. Seriously, I found it to be that good. The toppings were fresh and tasty, and the crust was just the right amount of crispiness. I just wish the pizza was bigger! I'll definitely be ordering from this place again. The only negative I could possibly give Soprano's is the somewhat sassy girl who took my order over the phone. It's not that big a deal to me though, so I'm fine with it.

The Pizza al Prosciutto I ordered made me feel nauseous and I rarely feel this way after eating. I thought I was having an off-night, so I had some leftovers the next day. Again, nauseous. Hmmm, maybe it's the prosciutto. I took off the prosciutto for the next round of leftovers and this time didn't feel nauseous. Well, good I figured out the cause, but this pizza wasn't that good anyway. Just seemed like run-of-the-mill pizza to me even though the specialty pizzas they have are interesting. The garlic knots were OK, a little soggy even. Back to the pizza: the prosciutto wasn't the kind I was used to in thin strips, it was large chunks of ham (in fact, called "prosciutto ham" on the menu). Unless I'm missing something, the pizza should have been called Pizza al Nausea Ham.

Well, two stars is being somewhat kind, but I'd like to hope that the two times we tried them were off days. Local friends have raved about this place, but my hubby and I just can't go again, even if it is close and somewhat reasonably priced. The food was mediocre at best. The first time we went, we opted to try full meals instead of pizza. We thought that may have been our first mistake. The chicken dish I got was almost inedible, with tough, dry chicken smothered in sauce that was bland and tasteless. The cheese on top of the meal was touted as mozzarella, but was a more creamy, melted brie type of look to it. Perhaps a greek cheese? No matter, it was pretty awful. My husband's pasta dish was dry and tasteless. It was as if the chef forgot to season our meals. The next time we went, we ordered pizza, figuring that maybe that's what they do best. Often an excellent pizza place will make mediocre pasta, but outstanding pizza. Well, that theory didn't pan out here. The pizza was kinda chewy, kinda flat-tasting and not worth the price. And then there was the service. The first time we visited, the service was not memorable, either good or bad. But our second visit, there were no other people in the restaurant, and our waitress was positively SURLY. Probably having a bad day, I would guess, but heck, please don't take it out on me. So, we still continue our search for local, reasonable and tasty Italian food!

Good pizza some of the better I have had in Seattle. The Pizza has really good crust perfectly cooked to a golden brown, and covered with toppings. The service was somewhat slow, but the pizza pie was right on the money, and not too much money either. I would recomened the Drunken Goat Pizza and the not so garlicly garlic knots, mmmm.... Looks like they have some pretty good pasta, I will definatly try to come back soon to try it out.

I really wanted to like this place, as I REALLY want to like any pizza place that is close to my house, but I'm pretty sure I could make better pizza than this place. We've tried it twice and I think that the "Soprano's" name is misleading. I've been to Jersey and this is not NY or NJ pizza. The prosciutto is not prosciutto, but big chunks of ham, not thinly sliced prosciutto. Service is okay--I actually don't remember it being particularly good or bad. Redeemers: garlic knots and it's kid friendly.

There is not much going on at this place, it seems. I can't say that the food was terrible, although I generally regard conveyor oven pizzas as an abomination. However, if a place is going to offer online delivery ordering, then it needs to be sure there is a way to turn off that feature if the kitchen's computers go down. I placed an online order which never came. Ninety minutes after I received an e-mail verification and receipt, I called to check on my order, only to be informed in apathetic, broken-English, that their computers were down that day. Sorry folks, but that is unacceptable for 2011 technology. You don't make a system which sends verifications and receipts automatically. A customer shouldn't get one of those until the order is received by the kitchen staff, and they send back personal verification--something pretty much every other online ordering place does (even chains like Papa John's.) This place wasted my time, and offered me nothing as recourse. On top of it all, the pizza was kinda lame. NOTE: I originally gave this place a two-star review, but after reading other comments about the lousy staff and their poor treatment of customer complaints, I have downgraded my review to one-star. I wasn't personally offended by the person I spoke with, but she was entirely unapologetic and didn't seem to really care that their lousy order-taking system completely wasted my time.

We ate here twice.Once on Friday and again on Monday for lunch during our crazy winter snow. Both times were great. We were one of very few tables who braved the snow for lunch. One waitress on duty (same one both times), who was not the warmest, but did her job. I don't need witty banter to like a restaurant. Friday - I ordered the white pasta lunch special. It was a pile of yummy cheese on pasta. excellent--exactly what i wanted. And i like cheese, so mozzerella on my salad was perfect. Monday - I had a Calzone. Its hard to find a good calzone and this is the best one I've had in Seattle. My dining companions ordered a grinder, soup & salad, and the cheese ravioli. Everything was delicious, but the ravioli in cream sauce melted in our mouths. Comfort food as its best. Lunch pastas are about $8 for pasta, salad and bread. The portions were HUGE. I can't imagine what the dinner portion is like. I'm glad we wandered around the corner to try this place out. We'll be back to explore the menu some more. Price is right (down right cheap really) and food is worth the walk.

Best pizza I've had in Seattle. Now that I've got your attention, I'll add: but not the best pizza I've ever had. Probably not in the top three. Top five though? Yeah. Maybe. It has all the pieces done right. Crust, Sauce, Cheese, Toppings. Pizza is so deceptively simple. But really, if one of those are off, it ruins the whole pie. Sopranos does each just fine, not perfect, but really quite well done and tasty. A bit expensive, but welcome to the world of non-chain pizza. Also, they've got coupons on their website. (Yay for coupons!)

Pizza-wise, meh.... We went after the dinner rush, and got sat at about 6:50PM or so. We had a short wait while they cleaned up a table for our party of 5. After being sat and our water glasses were filled. Then we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for our waitress to come back to take our order. Once we placed our order the service rocked, the fresh baked garlic bread was served, our drinks were brought along with our salads...then....we waited...and waited and....well you get the picture. For a place with no other customers coming in, serving 1 other table that sat just before us and 1 take out order, I wasn't sure what the hold up was. By the time our dinner was served most of the other tables had cleared out. Our order consisted of 2 small pizzas and 2 pasta dishes, nothing special yet the kitchen sure did take their own sweet time putting our order up. Once we got our dinners my better half's pasta dish smelled unusually sour, very distinctly like a rotten towel. When we complained the waitress blamed it on the Feta cheese on the dish, after voicing our resistance to accepting the dish she offered to take it back and asked if my wife wanted to see the menu again. My wife ordered another pasta dish, which the waitress noted as "only" taking 8 minutes to make. Sometime later, I'd guess a time zone change was in order, as those 8 minutes lasted a lot longer than that, the dish was served and it seemed fine. While we waited, without refills to our waters or soda, I was slightly surprised that once we sent the original sour smelling pasta dish back, our waitress did kick it up a notch. Offering refills to our drinks and our bread basket. Overall the meal was just, well meh. The pizza was on their "thin" crust which ended up making it soggy and non-plus in the flavor/texture department. I had ordered a "Drunk'n Goat" goat cheese pizza, it ended up being drenched in too much mozzarella and a few bits of goat cheese. The red peppers were thinly sliced but I think they forgot to put the garlic on. I couldn't taste the tomato sauce and the entire thing was just too greasy for me. The other pizza, while covered in toppings, it too was just topped with too many toppings for the size of the crust, which was lost in the mix, and made for a sloppy soggy mess. The pasta dishes were good, the Cannelloni was a bit dry but tasted good, the Soprano's special pasta was solid. While we waited for our food the table next to us had the same type of wait for their check. Timing was a bit mixed up between the waitress and the kitchen. Personally, being a former bus-boy, I think the bus-boy here, should have been working on re-filling waters and cleaning tables more than socializing with the other waitresses. Overall....meh....

Overall a pretty so-so experience. On-line ordering is great if you're socially awkward but probably takes longer than just picking up the phone. Delivery time was fantastic - both times I ordered the food arrived very quickly. The pizza is at best average. I like that they don't go too crazy with the toppings the way some places do. Unfortunately, they are bit heavy handed with the cheese. Some people like this but I found it to be too much and the resulting pizza was a bit too greasy for my tastes. The red sauce was very thin on both of my orders and when you factor in the mountain of cheese it was almost hard to tell if there was any sauce. The crust was decent but nothing special. Overall, I didn't like it as much as Pagliacci, Jet City or Amante (my current delivery fave)

Yay, they delivered on time. Aside from that, the only reason I finished my whole pizza was because I was hammered. The pizza was TERRIBLE, the black olives couldn't help dress up this disaster. Plus, the Russians running the joint apparently don't understand what "please call my cell, do not use the call box, it's broken" means.

I love the appetizer with the dolmades, cucumber sauce, and pita bread. It's what I order for dinner and there is plenty of it and it's very tasty. The service is very quick and friendly and they have a nice variety of menu items. I like that it's an independent restaurant with a neighborhood vibe.

Maybe we got them on a very bad night!? Great place for single guy to eat! Possibly this is the place for takeout- because our waitress and all wait staff observed- all blonde's, all Russian, dressed tightly and more interested ( No lie here )in texting or checking on cell phones & talking FOREVER to every man or male customer who leans over the cashier desk to ogle at them! This gets old when waiting for any service or service with a small smile. No I am not a jealous old bag wife or really even care about this~ had we not sat forever with out service, menus, our drinks- then had awful food. My husband a calzone- he reported was worst he has had, and myself baked spaghetti so overcome by cheese- it was nauseating. I asked for the check and boxes, because of course..........they were busy with talking to men/checking cell phones. Yikes!- we took it home and threw all left overs away - as both my husband and I felt stomach sick on the drive home. Sorry guys, maybe they do great on take out- or just bad night- but so not worth a second trip!! Postives- bread knots or whatever - good! Negs- about all else.

So, I live in the neighborhood, and order from Sopranos occasionally because they're close and seriously faster than i could make pasta dinner myself. That is one pro- the fast delivery. We are always amazed. But then, we also think, if it's that fast (like 15 minutes), does that mean stuff is microwaved? gross). So, the pro is the fast delivery, but I have had similar experiences as some other reviewers.. the service can be very hit or miss. The woman who answers the phone can be less than smiley. The delivery guy is always nice to me, so not feeling that complaint. And, I've never gotten sick here, but I also don't eat meat, so maybe that's where some of these issues lie? Not an excuse, I just don't go there :) Three stars because they've won them via decent food delivered in lightening speed to my front door. Avoid the dine-in experience, order the sun-dried tomato ravioli and you're probably pretty safe.

Deep dish pizza with lots of cheese and the perfect amount of sauce. The crust is good enough to be eaten alone! The pasta and salads (greek salad = yum) are also good, and don't sleep on the appetizers...I recommend the tzatziki and cheese bread. My usual order: Cheese pizza with alfredo sauce greek salad tzatziki And then I am stuffed to the gills and have to work out for days before I even think about looking at food again. Check out their menu online: sopranos-pizza.com

Nice little neighborhood pizza place/italian restaurant. Pizza is delicious every time we come, ranks up there with our favorite choice of pizza in Seattle. The service is not outstanding but its good. You never really have to wait for seating. I like how you can go in there in sweats like after a ball game or just as well you could go in a little dressy. Never have to fight for parking.

  • Chloe H.

I think that the secret of this place is the cheese. The cheese is amazing. When you order goat cheese on a pizza here, you are in for a serious treat. Sopranos is the place to go for enormous plates of pasta and yummy, greasy pizza with any topping combination you can dream up. Sopranos is reasonably priced, considering the large portion size, but the service is inconsistent...a small blight on a cheesy gem.

Good food, easy to order ONLINE! and delivers! The food is as expected for a joint like this. The garlic knots seem great but really not worth it. We did not order pizza but all the pasta was quite good.

This place is sub par. I ordered the drunken goat since it had goat cheese, not impressed at all. Maybe I just hit it on an off day. It's close to home, and I'm sure I'll go again.

I agree with others lately, I had a spaghetti dish that was much worse than ever before. The staff has never been overly friendly but we let it slide because it is close to home. We are trying it again tonight and if it sucks, we will no longer order from this place. Sad because I can walk there, but they need to read this and learn or go out of business. I'll let ya know!

Ordered delivery pizza the other night, just standard pepperoni and cheese bread (my girlfriend's favorite). We really just chose this place because she had received a flyer in the mail but were pleasantly surprised. The thinner crust was really good with probably the best pepperoni I've had on a pizza. I'm not normally a fan of cheese bread (I mean I ordered a pizza, pretty much the same thing) but it was actually really good. It was french bread with real mozzarella and was spiced up a bit. We'll definitely order from here again, especially if we have the coupons.

Sopranos has glorious calzones the size of your head and provides at least 2-3 meals, unless you want to eat it all and become immobile the rest of the day. I haven't had the pizza yet, I'll try it next time. However, I ordered the white spaghetti and was somewhat disappointed. It was really oily and I think had too much basil. Though it tasted more like pine nuts to me. For some reason I didn't like it and I couldn't finish it. The service is okay, when its not busy though and there's only one server it can be kind of slow which is surprising. If I love the pizza, I'll change my review to a 4 asap.

We ordered delivery from this place for a few years and the food is actually pretty good - inconsistent - but good. The problem is the people who work there - including the manager, who is a completed a**hole. Plus they more often than not messed up our order. How hard is it to take an order for a pizza or a sub and get it right??? They are just RUDE and I'm amazed they are still in business. So many people that I've talked to that have either been there or ordered delviery have had the same experience. You have to love a place who when told they made a mistake with your order give you attitude - you then ask for the manager and he talks down to you and is a complete jerk. I would avoid this place at all costs!!!! Don't be an idiot like us and continue to give money to a place that messes up your order and treats you like s*it.

Best pizza in Seattle. The garlic knots rock. The pepperoni is cooked just right. You can't go wrong here.

I've only ever had delivery from here, but it is GOOD. I'm partial to the Pizza al Proscuitto. The tarfuto desserts are DELISH. Not so much a fan of the appetizer (garlic knots) and salad (caprese) that I've had, but the pizza is great. Delivery is within the time given (45 minutes) and delivery drivers are polite. Pizza comes warm and the dessert's not melted. That's a huge plus in my book.

Sopranos has great pizza and pasta. Service isn't always wonderful, but the food makes up for it.

This is a great little Italian joint in Ballard famous for its... well, everything. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Try the Gorgonzola Gnocchi or the Red and White Spaghetti... yum yum! If you have a big appetite, have the Garlic Knots for an appetizer (freshly baked pizza dough knots stuffed with garlic) but beware: after a few of these and your salad, it will be tough to finish the main course!

Well I have eaten at Sopranos for several years and have always been satisfied with there food. Unfortunately they either have changed owners or cooks. The last few times we were their the food was not so great.last night we went and the food was awful, there was bread and food all on the floor and no one seemed to clean it up.There was enough staff. The bread that was served to us was like left overs or the end of the bread. The waitress left without giving us our check.,we waited for someone to give us our check no one came,we finaley went up to the cash register. It was a mess we will not go back. Abusiness is as only as good as the employees and at the rate there going their buiness will drop off unless people like to eat in a pig pen.

I've only eaten in the restaurant once, which was a good experience. This review is mostly for their delivery. Whever I want pizza delivered I order from here or Pizza Passion, depending on which kind I want. Sopranos does big, greasy, cheesey yummy pizzas. My two favorites are the Chevre Macedonian (sun dried tomatoes and melty gobs of goat cheese) and the Marshall's Polo (gorganzola, chicken, and capers). Their other food is good too. I like the pasta with rose sauce. Their service is conistent, about 45 minutes for delivery. Definately recommended.

We used to order takeout from Sopranos often, I'd say a couple times a month. One evening I was craving a sausage calzone, so I ordered it up. As I was eating it, I kept thinking how different it tasted- the texture of the meat was funky. I finally took a closer look at the sausage and it was completely RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so disgusting, I felt so nauseous. I called them to let them know and they really didn't seem too concerned. I will never order from them again, just writing about it makes me want to throw up!

Big, juicy, heavy pizza. Don't be distracted by the siren song of a pasta dish, it's just not as good. Eat-in is pleasant, or they'll bring your pie to you and you can stay in your couch groove.

great pasta salads and heavy pizza, more bang for your buck and they deliver which is great when you are hung over..

Oh wow! This place is seriously good! It's been on my list of places to try pretty much since we moved nearby, over a year ago. We finally got around to trying it tonight, mainly because one of my co-workers also lives nearby and said the food here is awesome. I felt we had put off coming here long enough. Erik and I started with an order of the garlic knots. Mmmmm, yummy. They were served warm with a side of marinara topped with Parmesan. The knots themselves were perfectly sized, about two bites each and were just the right amount of doughy. Oh yeah, they were so good. Though I'm not looking forward to waking up with that pungent garlic taste in my mouth, that's not the fault of Soprano's. I felt the $5.50 for the garlic knots was just right. For dinner, we ordered a small Meat Lover's pizza. OMG, it was awesome!! The description said it had bacon bits on it, and while I knew it wouldn't be "Bacon Bits" like what you get in the condiment section at the store, I didn't think it would be large chunks of the most delicious bacon I've had in a long time. Ohhhh, bacon, how I love you. The cheese was fresh and delicious, as were the other toppings. No processed meats on this pizza. Our small Meat Lover's pizza was $11.45, a lot less and a whole lot better than a Meat Lover's at say, Pizza Hut. We ordered a small because we were both looking forward to ordering our own dessert. We usually never order dessert, we're just not really dessert people, but Erik was sold on the Peanut Butter Panic and I was really looking forward to the Double Fudge Frenzy. These are both ice cream desserts and they are both so delicious. Erik's was very peanut buttery and mine was very chocolaty. Each of our desserts was $3.99. With our meal we ordered a pitcher of the pilsener for $11. They were out the Scuttlebutt that was listed on the menu, but that's ok, our pilsener was pretty tasty. The service we received was fantastic! The girl who took our order was very sweet and very helpful. She seemed let down when she informed us the Scuttlebutt we wanted to order had been replaced by another brew, we assured her it was all good. She was prompt in seating us and taking our orders and bringing us our food. She never seemed annoyed or put off by serving us. While this shouldn't be surprising, and you would hope it would be the norm wherever and whenever you dine out, it rarely is. The few times I've eaten at another Greek-like Italian restaurant (shh, Romio's) , there is one girl who seems so pissed off to be working there, making me seem like I'm putting a major crimp in her evening. I get the same service from that same girl when I call an order in for delivery. I pretty much hate calling Romio's for delivery because of that one girl. With that said, if you live in the Ballard/Crown Hill/Greenwood area, when you're craving delicious pizza, definitely give the kind folks at Soprano's Pizza a call--or head in for a delightful dinner out.

Service is fine, food is kinda good the first few bites, until it cools down and becomes almost inedible. The stars are pretty much for the service, so if you're contemplating delivery or take-out, I wouldn't do it if I were you. It's not worth going into detail.

So I just had kind of a shitty experience with Soprano's and I'm probably not ever going to order from them again. Here's why: I ordered the shrimp fettucine alfredo with a greek salad for delivery. It showed up promptly, which was delightful, and the salad was tasty and HUGE, but that's where the magic ended. The pasta itself was nice and al dente, but the sauce...yikes. Disaster. It was 100% liquid, like someone had just poured lukewarm half and half over pasta and then salted the hell out of it, and the flavor was so unpleasant that I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with it - like, biologically wrong. I called Soprano's to tell them what was up, and maybe to have my account credited or another dish sent out. Nope! The lady who answered could not have possibly cared less when I told her that the pasta was inedible. Long story short, she said "You're the first person who didn't like it. Sorry." And then she HUNG UP. Whatever, they can keep the twelve bucks for the pasta - I'll order from someplace else next time. You should too.

A really great "go-to" place for my husband and I. Really generous portions (you can share) and a great lunch menu that is almost "free"! Veggie pizza, Caesar salad and the dinner salad are favorites. Our experience with service has been great.....attentive and friendly. We also had them deliver a meal for 12 people and the salad very fresh and spaghetti hot and yummy. Tiramisu was amazing.

Delivery took a decent amount of time. But the order was wrong I think what they actually gaze me was lasagna and it looked almost identical to what my friend order. It was also very sloppy. The food was just ok and made me sick later in the night. There are WAY better options for pizza and Pasta's in Ballard.

I thought that this place was not all that bad. I read a few of the unfavorable reviews prior to checking it out, but the promise of delicious and cheap italian food was far too great to NOT at least check it out. When I entered the restaurant, I was not seated in a prompt manner. A few of the women that were working at the restaurant just kinda stood around and looked confused. Once someone came over to seat me, the service was pretty darn good. I was always topped off with water and I never felt that I was not getting any attention. I ordered the Chicken Parm and let me tell ya, it was a massive meal. For 12 bucks I was delivered a 5 pound plate of pasta a breaded protein covered in a blanket of cheese. It was a good meal on Tuesday and was an even better meal on Wednesday! All in all, I can see why some people have gripes with the place. It's pretty laid back and it does appear that a ton of the family that works there just likes to stand around. My experience started off a little weird, but once the meal was consumed, all of my concerns were laid to rest. This is good italian food and I will return again.

Been to Soprano's twice and I wouldn't mind another time. Food: On both occasions I've been unadventurous and ordered a chicken ravioli dish. The sauce is better than average, and there's more than enough for leftovers. The garlic bread is really good. I wish they didn't put cheese (mozzarella) on the side salads though. I should probably try the pizza. Beverages: Nice selection of wine and beer, including Mac & Jack. Service: Haven't had the troubles that plague other Yelpers. First time there were about 3 waitresses, all bleached blondes (just an observation, believe me I've nuthin against fake blondes) speaking Italian. No one was overly nice, but not rude. We came shortly before they closed and they sat us, though the next people in the door were forced to do takeout. My dining companion was sure that the place is run by the mob, BTW. On my last visit the waitress was such a sweetheart. Zero complaints! I wish the screaming child had been tamed by its parents, but what can ya do?

When I'm not interested in cooking or going out for dinner I'll reach in my trusty drawer of tried and tested delivery/takeout menus. Soprano's has earned a spot in this hallowed place. While I can't claim to have sampled a wide selection from their menu, the options I have tried I truly enjoy. One such item would be their penne with chicken pasta. A few spots around Seattle offer a similar dish and Soprano's version is one of the better. It tastes good, is reasonably priced, and comes with a good-sized side salad and garlic bread. I've also had their house calzone... also a good choice. Good consistent food and the delivery driver has always been punctual in my experience.

OK--we've loved you guys for years. We've stuck with you through changes of ownership. We love your salads, your pizzas, and even your delivery drivers...BUT... Tonight, **right in front of the waitress who was taking our order**, a cockroach scurried out from under my girlfriend's dinner napkin. Our server quickly swept it to the floor, but then only asked if my girlfriend was scared, and pretty much just dismissed the whole thing. We left $5 for the unfinished glass of wine and immediately left the restaurant. You may not think that a cockroach on our dinner table--in front of you staff and other diners--is a problem, but it really, REALLY is. (Yes, we contacted Seattle & King County Public Health as soon as we got home.)

Great pizza for a great price and they deliver. But if you like thin crispy crust it isn't gonna happen.

I really wish that Sopranos was even a decent place to eat. It's walking distance from my house, and a cute little Italian place would be a wonderful treat in the neighborhood. Sadly, it's very poor. Why? The food, chiefly. The servers are neither bad, nor incredibly attentive, nor especially friendly. The decor and atmosphere are neither ghastly nor charming. It's a simple neighborhood restaurant with okay-to-decent service. The food, though, is dreadful: unambitious, dated and either quite tasteless or so greasy as to be unpalatable. The salads are like a relic from the Seventies. Small, plain, with lots of iceberg lettuce, watery, tasteless tomatoes, nasty canned black American olives, tasteless grated cheese, and gloopy dressings. The Caprese salad that I had late last summer was a particular disappointment. Early fall in Seattle is the one time of year when you can practically guarantee that you'll find juicy, flavorful, local tomatoes. This one came with large, hard and utterly tasteless, available-all-year-round Roma tomatoes. It also came with about one lousy leaf of basil, shredded and sprinkled sparsely across the top. If I spend $4 on a local bowl of pho I will receive enough basil to start producing my own pesto. Why does this Italian restaurant treat the fresh herb as if it's gold-dust? (Our server did provide more basil upon request - but she brought little more than a second leaf.) The main pasta courses are quite generous, and reasonably flavorful, but heavy on the cheese and absolutely swimming in oil. I can't eat their food without feeling queasy afterwards (and I usually have the constitution of an ox). I haven't tried their pizza, but their calzone was enormous, with a crust that was heavy doughy - and just too damn much. It was like a loaf of slightly underdone bread with Ragu and stuff up the middle. I can't recall their desserts. I don't remember ordering any. (There's a nice gelateria just up the road that is much nicer). All in all: this restaurant is in a promising location. The have decent staff and a premises with potential to be so much more, but as far as their menu goes, they miss at every turn. Save your money.

Soprano's is a good neighborhood restaurant in an area that doesn't have many choices. Personally, I am a believer in flat, crisp pizza so Soprano's pizza isn't quite my cup of tea but theirs isn't a thick crust either. I can easily appreciate it for what it is, a good tasting pie. Also, call me old fashioned but I like a well constructed iceberg salad at times and their "house salad" is very tasty! Complaints? Their house red wine is not very good. Stick to beer or order a bottle. Other than that I can't think of any. I have eaten there a couple of times recently and have been impressed with the service. One visit was with a 2 year old and they made many efforts to keep him happy such as bringing him a some treats and milk. This is a sign of a neighborhood place and it is appreciated.

Can't really speak for anything besides the pizza, but I do love the pizza. I always get the Artichoke Chicken. Once a friend and I got two pizza, 4 different kinds. The other ones were great too, but I think I am forever an Artichoke Chicken lover. Makes me salivate just thinking about it. Dinner salad is very basic (lettuce, black olives and shredded mozerella), but mix it all up with some ranch dressing and it is really yummy! I know people like different things in a pizza, but this place is definitely worth checking out!

I love this place- I'm an East Coast Italian kid living in a West Coast Italian world and this place makes me happy. Everything I have ever ordered from this place is good- the pizza (try the Quatro Formaggio) the grinders (try the roast beef) the pasta (try the chicken parm with rose sauce) the apps (the wings, humms, pepperoni knots...all good), the desserts (chocolate cannoli in Seattle? Thank you!) I have never eaten at this place, only had delivery, but I've had the delivery A LOT- the whole family loves this place- the service is great, you can order on line, the food is spectacular, the prices are reasonable. I'm not going to lie here- I found Sopranos because I HATE Romios- Romios was the only game in town for a while and they knew it- they screwed up EVERY order I ever placed with them- so out of spite (or my tendency to hold a Sicilian grudge) was born a relationship that has grown along with my waistline. Thank you Sopranos- you may not be my Ma's sunday gravy, but you are a fine surrogate till my next trip home.

I once liked Soprano's, the food is decent ( pizza ugh i would skip that try pasta's and salad) but the worst part about this establishment is the people who work there. It's obviously a family owned and operated business and you can tell by the service. The ladies that work there are a bit rigid and no so friendly. Dinner Salads are great i also love the garlic knots. I would recommend the pasta primavera.

I've ordered pizza from this place and I can't complain but the last time I ordered I had paid with a credit card and it didn't take long but.. I signed for the pizza and was juggling to get the tip money to pay the driver when he turned away and started to cuss. I called him back and gave him the tip and then thought to myself, why the hell am I tipping a guy who just swore at me. That was the last time they saw my money!!!

I wanted to like this place, I dig indy pizza joints. Nah other than the greek salad which they got wrong it was meh at best. Despite the wait to be seated sign we were commanded to pick a place to sit, and cue the down hill roll from there. Server was busy chatting finally came up after about 10 minutes and started of with sorry I saw you but was busy statement. I think all told she said sorry at least 7 times in the hour we were there. We started off with a couple of salads and beers, I asked for ranch instead of the house vinaigrette, met with a sure no problem. Guess it was because I got the vinaigrette... Beers showed up half way through the salads kinda like the server had an AHA moment and remembered we ordered them. Finally got the pizza seemed to be lacking sauce for some reason and took forever. This story could go on for pages, long story short service was lame, pizza was pretty lame, and sorry will pretty much what you will be...

FRUSTRATED!!!!!! I ordered via online on 10/03/2008 and today I looked at my bank statement and guess what?? Those BASTARDS charges me twice! Yes, it is true. When I called them to tell them I needed my 30.00 back the women who answered the phone said "I will look into it and call you back in a few days" Well a few days and looking into it isn't good enough. I need my money back now! Well, I called my bank and disputed the charge I am not waiting on them to jerk me around.

I had what is possibly the worst pasta I've ever had at this place. I used to be a fan; their pizza was solid, and their salads were good. Many a high school study sessions were fueled by Sopranos' pizza. But I ended up ordering some spaghetti and it was worse than canned pasta sometime last month, which I shrugged off as just bad luck on my part and a bad day on theirs. Then several weeks later, in what would be the next - and ultimately, my last - order with them, they botched a simple pepperoni pizza. I had food poisoning for about two days after, and I'd only managed to eat two slices because it was crispy and dry as a desert. Did they get a new chef? Did they have a bad day... twice in a row? Whatever the case, enough is enough with Sopranos for me.

I love this place. Its a little hole in the wall that decently dressed, hard to know about unless you know someone who has been there. This is probably my favorite pizza and pasta place. The pizza sauce is great, love it that they give you bread and pizza sauce to dip, yum. But most of all I love their chicken parm, double yum. The portion size of the parm is ridiculous, definitely enough for two to share. I haven't had anything that I didn't like. Check it out. The wait staff is not extremely friendly but they are not rude, its weird, wouldn't hurt to flash a smile here and there.

Mouth watering pizza. Writing this review makes me hungry. I had a BBQ chicken pizza, it was soooo good. It was really cheesy!. I had been there 4x or so, and I always get it! If you are there for more than the food... read on, decoration is okay, nothing too fancy, simple. The server is attentive. The place is clean.

I can't really say much about the food because we never actually ate. We had purchased a certificate from restaurant.com and when when we showed the waitress the certificate on our phone she said she could not take it because they only take paper copies. The waitress was not nice and didn't try to find other options or to check to see if we could use the certificate. We got up and left witch was embracing and disappointing, and the waitress did not seem to care. When a business chooses to participate in internet deals to bring in customers they should really be equipped to handle digital coupon methods. As for restaurant.com , I called and told them what happened. They were so nice and refunded our certificate with no issues.

I love this place. The food is much higher quality than your average pizza place and their website makes on-line ordering a breeze! I have never been there or talked to them on the phone and I adore them for it! I will admit, the pizza is not my favorite, but it is good...but the pasta OH THE PASTA! The Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Tortellini Rose are my 2 favorites. The pepperoni rolls on the appetizer menu are my sons fav as well....pizza dough rolled up and STUFFED with pepperoni, cheese, and a tiny bit of sauce...I order these instead of their pizza. YUM YUM YUM!

So, I think this place has better delivery then dine-in according to the reviews. We recently gave this place a chance (we already have our favorite pizza places). I'm really glad we ordered from them.. Pros: 1- FAST delivery. The lady said 30 minutes and the guy showed up in 25 mins (he would have been there sooner if he hadn't had to drive back and get our salad that he forgot). 2- Price - actually reasonable. We ordered a large pizza, caesar salad, and cheese bread and it was around $30 before tip. 3- Option to order on-line. We didn't try this option but it looks like it's popular and the service is just as prompt. Cons: The pizza was a little salty. Granted it was the meat lovers, but my tongue was feeling like it had been dipped in a bowl of salt. We would try this place again for sure. I do already have my favorites, but I will definitely order from them again but it sounds like we won't be dining there according to other reviews which is fine by us since we order delivery pizza most often. =)

I'll admit I've only had the pasta from here, but its really not that bad. Some nights are better then others, and most of the time I place a pick up order because the girls that work there aren't that friendly. One of the few places I've found that has gnocchi, which I love. There's isn't bad, but I've realized I can make exact same dishes at home pretty easy. Good bread sticks and such. The boyfriends mother had the pizza from here when we went the other night and said it was really good. So all in all good simple place (pretty cheep too!) if that's what your looking for, but nothing that jumps out as being amazing.

My husband and I came for Valentine's Day and LOVED IT! The pizza is one of the best and although I didn't care for the alfredo, my husband was in heaven. We had the meat trio pizza! Excellent service - the girls and friendly. Fairly relaxed casual atmosphere hidden in Ballard.

We always order delivery from Soprano's when we're in the mood for pizza, simply because you can order online! I absolutely love that feature. We can place our entire order online (and make any changes to the toppings, etc. that we want - VERY user-friendly) and *poof*, about a half-hour later there's a nice gentleman ringing the doorbell carrying online-ordered-delivery-pizza nirvana. As for the product itself, it is the closest I've come to the Philly pizzerias that I truly miss. No stromboli, but the calzone (House, no ricotta, sausage or red onion) comes steaming hot, stuffed to the rafters with pepperoni and fresh ingredients, and with a good-sized side of marinara for dipping. Mmmmmmmm, if I were a cat I'd be purring. My beau orders the closest thing to a Greek pizza, and has it pimped out with a thin crust - for both of us, we have enough left over to eat for lunch the next day. The green salad is typical, a big portion of iceberg lettuce with tomatoes and shredded mozzarella on top. What I appreciate is that they give you two containers of Italian dressing, because for those of us who like it saucy, there's nothing good about a dry salad. Soprano's has beat out the delivery competition for us simply because of the online ordering. It is convenience to the extreme!

The pizza here really is respectable, it's not the best by any means but it really is pretty good. The place is a nice warm little building with friendly service. One thing that also is best as respectable is the price.

My husband and I have ordered delivery online at least 5 times from Soprano's, but we've never dined at the restaurant. I don't recall if we've ever ordered their pizza, but we've had several pasta dishes and desserts. The food is hit or miss (more often a hit), but we've kept coming back because of the convenience of online ordering, inexpensive delivery ($0.99), speedy service, and large variety of menu options. You get a lot of bang for your buck because of the generous portion sizes and coupons/specials. I love that their pasta dishes come with a fresh side salad (with awesome Italian dressing) and garlic bread. I enjoyed and would recommend the Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti Pavia, and Gnocchi Gorgonzola. The Baklava and NY Cheesecake with raspberry sauce are also very good (I don't know if they're homemade, but they were delicious). The Baked Lasagna, however, was the consistency of soup with baked cheese on top, and it tasted like frozen pizza. We most recently ordered the Salmon Fettuccine. The salmon was fresh, but the shrimp wasn't fully cooked and there were a couple of hairs in the dish. I took the shrimp out and sauteed them before returning them to the dish, but I couldn't eat another bite once I spotted the hairs. Unfortunately, I most likely won't order from Soprano's again. The Salmon Fettuccine ruined it for me.

I wish I could give zero stars... Yesterday I visited this restaurant with the intent to use a LivingSocial voucher I purchased for this restauant. I ordered the food over the phone, for takeout. When I got there: 1) The server/cashier said the conditions of the voucher were that I needed to dine in. I said no problem, but noted to her that there was nothing on the voucher fine print that made that stipulation. She said maybe not, but that's the way it is. So, I said let's settle up, and I'll sit down and eat the dinner. 2) She then said she couldn't honor the voucher, and insisted that it must have been old. I was there on July 20, and the voucher expires July 30. She said that must be a mistake, because the last time they did a LivingSocial deal was two years ago. I didn't have the information with me at the time, but my records show I bought the voucher on April 1, 2015. 3) The voucher was/is for $20, and I paid $12 for it. She said she could give me a $5 discount on the total bill. I said I couldn't do that, as I paid more for it than the discount. She then said she could give me a $10 discount, and that was all she could do, I decided to not deal with the business any longer, and left. I have driven by the business many times and have frequently thought about stopping. I was at an event once that served Soprano's pizza, and it was pretty good. I was looking forward to trying out other items from their menu (I had ordered a calzone, a salad, and tiramisu) but not if this is how they conduct business. EDIT: 07/27/2015 This is in response to the thoughtful and well-written response by Erdinc D. of Soprano's... I don't believe the server consulted anyone else. She seemed very sure of what she said, and I assumed she was a Soprano's veteran, at least two years, to the extent she mentioned that was the last time Soprano's did a LivingSocial deal. I just checked (five minutes ago) the Living Social web site, and the same deal I had and attempted to use is currently offered by LivingSocial, and I still receive notices from LivingSocial with this offer. Interesting the business does not seem to be aware of this. I have seen many flyers, mailers, ads, etc., over the years for Soprano's. Are they honored, and not negotiated?

I used to live a few blocks from Soprano's. Recently, I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. The service I received was excellent! I can't say enough about how good it was, even on a busy night. My server was attentive and helpful. She even tried to offer me a discount when she asked me about the food and found out I wasn't thrilled. The portions are large and the price points are okay. I had the red and white spaghetti and a Caesar salad. I was definitely full but my taste buds were not impressed. The dish lacked salt and other seasonings for that matter. The calzone was HUGE! Again, definitely full but not impressed. The calzone had all the ingredients as described but they were not distributed evenly. In one bite, there was a ton of meat but not much in the rest of the calzone. The dinner salad was really good but again, could have used salt. Overall, I wasn't impressed. It's a good place to come for a family meal, parking is easy, and portions are good. I like bolder flavors so I don't think this is the place for me.

Really nice people who are great to the neighborhood kids, but the food is just SO BAD. It's about as American as an Italian place could possibly be. Food is bland except for the taste of salt, sugar, and fat. Nothing inventive, nothing interesting, no homemade quality, no fresh herbs, tomatoes in salads are always pink & hard regardless of the season. If there was any alternative whatsoever in the neighborhood then this place would not exist. Again, really nice people though! Wish they'd listen to the Yelp reviews...

  • Mandy S.

This place serves huge portions so i bumped it up to four stars. The salads need to be chopped in more bite sized pieces because red onion chunks is kind of bitter . Calzones are popular and cheese/pasta lovers would love this place. I do think their marinara sauce is great- fresh and homemade it seems and the greek items are great if you want more options. Huge menu.

Excellent authentic Italian food at reasonable prices in a clean and open setting. Favorite dish is the killer tomato and mozzarella salad: Cool, fresh and super flavorful. Highlight of your visit will be the excellent service and great attitude of the servers. You WON'T be disappointed for sure: Soprano's is truly a North Ballard hidden gem!!

Last night was my first time in. It was a terrible experience. The waitress was terrible through out our time. She never once came to our table to check up on how the meal was and if we needed anything. I would understand if it was a busy evening but it wasn't. I had asked her multiple times if I could have some ranch for my pizza and by the time we finished I still did not receive it. The pizza came cold and it was not even good. I was not impressed with the over all experience and will not be returning there again.

sadly it's the worst pizza it had no sauce or cheese on many of the slices and was so cold upon delivery, one pizza including delivery and tip for $29. Next time I would rather make ramen at home.

I ordered delivery from this place and it was awesome! The Lachlan and Leo was amazing with the sunflower seeds on top. Also, the Marshall Polo had really sizable chunks of chicken! But the best part was the crust. It was soft and chewy with the right amount of tug with each bite. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because when I called in my order the lady working the phones seemed to hate her life and not want to be there. Zero thank you's or any sort of pleasantries. But I'll still order from there for sure because the pizza is SO GOOD!

Their pizza is amazing. It's our favorite delivery place, and we don't generally order it from anyone else. Only question mark was the dining in experience -- service was friendly, but a little slow. Overall though, amazing place.

My boyfriend and came from out of town and had a long day and decided to stay in at our hotel to watch the playoff game. We saw soprano's and decided to order delivery. I'm usually skeptical of delivery bit thought why not. My boyfriend got the chicken artichoke pizza and I got the gnocchi gorganzala. Both were amazing. The lady who took my order was really polite and patient with me when I looked for my debit card. She informed me it would be 45 minutes for delivery which is typical for a Saturday night. It actually took about 30 minutes. The delivery driver was nice as well. The portion of my gnocchi was very generous (only was able to eat half) The food was piping hot and the even supplied plates, utensils and napkins which is helpful when you're in a hotel and don't have easy access to those accommodations I'd recommend them to anyone, it was a very pleasant experience (even though it was delivery)

Gotta drop it down. This time the server was very friendly but the food was not good. I asked for marinara sauce instead of meat and got meat sauce, the noodles were way over cooked and my daughter (2 months) probably could have eaten them with no problem. Price is still good just don't know if it is really worth it

Pizza is suppose to make you happy. When I checked into my hotel the first place listed was Soprano's. I ordered the Drunken Goat pizza. The crust if the pizza was too doughy, almost on the side of underdone. The sauce was beyond explanation and the end result was it took one bite to decide to throw away the whole pizza. It was a waste of $20 plus dollars. Unfortunately the soggy crust, subpar toppings and the overly bitter garlic proved a fatal culinary combination for this pizza fan. I asked the front desk staff the next day where the four if them ordered pizza from since they were locals and they all agreed not Soprano's. Lesson learned, poll the locals and don't naturally trust your hotels welcome dossier.

Used to go here frequently, then haven't for a few years, but for some compelling reason, kiddo and I decided to have an early dinner here. The actual restaurant looks stripped down and brighter....what happened to the kitschy décor? Anyways, the same fashionista trio of female waitresses were still there...ranging from barely enthusiastic that customers have shown up, to serviceable, no frills demeanor. Despite that, somehow most of the tables were full. Singles, duos, families, and clearly some neighborhood regulars. The same monstrous basket of garlic bread. Somehow we ended with two baskets though. Skip either the house salad or minestrone soup that comes with most entrees. The latter was rather watery and not with much flavor, uninspiring - it improved after I added salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese. Basic green salads delivered to other tables was just lettuce with grated mozzarella and black olives. Giant serving of gnocchi ($11.45), however after a few bites in, one is better off ordering it from Piccolino's. The small four cheese pizza with added Italian sausage was just okay ($14.60). The best part was the Italian sausage...needed more cheese, more zippier tomato sauce, and a more tangier dough. Just fair to middling - next time I'll drop $34 (total with tax and 20% tip) elsewhere.

Years ago this was a good place. Today it should be avoided. Ordered the spaghetti half with a meat sauce so thin it wouldn't stick to the soggy pasta, the other half had powdered Mitzithra cheese on the same over cooked pasta. Even the Old Spaghetti Factory uses fresh grated Mizithra. The meal comes with minestrone soup -- the worst minestrone I've ever tasted. It is a watered down tasteless soup with a couple chunks of tomato. The waitress expressed curiosity about the un-eaten soup and when told how awful it was, she had a good laugh with the cook. It's obvious no one cares about what's being served or what the customer thinks. I won't be back.

Really enjoyed Soprano's! Not fancy and maybe not the single best pasta I've ever had, but everything across the board was good and enjoyable. It was clean, the service was nice, waitress was friendly to everyone (including the kids), the pizza, pasta, and appetizers were all enjoyable. I'll definitely go back!

I was SO happy when I saw my lunch order from Soprano's today. A HUGE, hot order of gnocci with marinara, half a dinner salad, and a piece of garlic bread, which I wasn't even aware came with the meal. I was much less happy when I tasted it. The salad was great-- romaine, mozarella, black olives, tomatoes (although the huge, quartered pieces would be nice sliced smaller). The gnocci was grainy and nothing like I am used to. The garlic bread was tough. I won't be spending another 14 (after tip) here for lunch again.

This was our first, and most definitely our last, time ordering from this restaurant. We decided to keep things easy and order two Italian basics, pizza and lasagna, for delivery. Pretty straight forward. It arrived in a decent amount of time (which is always a huge plus in our book) and the food was hot (even better). We were excited to sit down and eat when we realised the pizza we ordered was in a small, round, aluminium tin. Once we opened it we noticed it was just toppings - and no pizza dough. That's right - I said it, no dough. Just a tin full of melted cheese and an assortment of toppings. So, obviously a bit confused we called the restaurant to try to correct the problem. A women answered and I politely explained that there was a mistake with our order. She then proceeded to tell me that we 'ordered it that way'. We apparently requested a pizza with no dough. So I'm baffled (Because come on - pizza with no dough doesn't even qualify as 'pizza'). After going back and forth, basically arguing, with me for a few mins telling me that this what we requested I gave up. I asked for a simple refund for our $13 pizza (I'm not paying $13 for an aluminium tin full of toppings) and again she argued with me. Are you joking??? I finally had to get a 'managers approval' to get the pizza we originally ordered delivered to our apt. And 90 mins later it's still not here.... We will never eat here again. Do yourself a favor and do the same.

My grandparents invited me out to dinner the other night and we ended up at Soprano's. The pasta dishes came with the choice of a soup or salad to start. I had the minestrone soup and it wasn't that great. Very bland. I salted and peppered it quite a bit but still not much flavor. However, my chicken parmesan was delicious! Don't go here if you're concerned with your diet or portion sizes because you will be amazed and tempted. I don't think I've ever been so floored at such a large portion. The dish came with two whole chicken breasts and lots of cheese, pasta, and marinara sauce. Everything about the dish was delicious. I highly doubt the pasta was house made but I wasn't concerned about that. I'm happy to report I only ate about 1/3 of the dish and took the rest home. Again, I've never seen such big portions! Both my grandparents' pasta dishes were very generously portioned, as well. You really can't beat the price for how much food you get and it's certainly decent food. My dish was $13.95. We got a whole basket of garlic bread to go with our dinner. A Stella on draft was $3.50 which was very reasonable and the house wine was $5/glass. The restaurant is cute and we had good service. There was parking right in front which is important if you're with someone who can't do much walking. Overall, a solid choice for neighborhood Italian! Soprano's would be a good spot to bring a growing teenage boy as they would probably get enough food here!

I tried to put an order in online, and when I didn't get an email confirming my order, I called to make sure it went through. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. Worst service I've had at a restaurant in years. The staff is totally disorganized. I'm guessing not seated in sections. No one greeted us when we walked in, stood more than 10 minutes for a table when there were lots available, took another 10 minutes before a waitress brought us water even though we could watch them all standing at the kitchen window doing nothing but chatting, had to ask for napkins and flatware to eat with after she brought our salads because she was so clueless that she didn't even notice that we did not have it, never checked on us or offered drink refills, etc. I felt like I was in an episode of restaurant impossible or stakeout. Place definitely needs a front end manager! With all the great places to eat in Seattle I won't be back.k

The pepperoni pizza. Ballard pizza is disappointing and pepperoni shouldn't be so hard to do right. They do it right.

Soprano's Pizza gets an A++ for customer service, but unfortunately the standard of the food was tragic. After recently being disgruntled by my usual pizza joint, I have been searching for a quality pizza place with a decent salad selection that delivers before 4pm and is reasonably priced. I stumbled across Soprano's and ordered a Cobb salad and a Margherita pizza. Easy right? When I checked my order upon delivery I was very disappointed to find a small dinner salad consisting of nothing but lettuce, black olives, cheese & 2 thin tomato slices. My pizza was even more depressing! A greasy blob of cheese, littered with tomatoes and zero basil! How can you forget 1 of 3 ingredients?!!! I called the restaurant immediately with the intention of demanding a full refund, but the lady who answered the phone was so nice it was hard to complain. She offered me a new pizza made correctly, and discounts off my next order. I graciously accepted the new pizza. It arrived quickly and guess what ..... Another greasy blob of cheese, tomatoes, and the most frugal application of basil I've ever seen! If you're charging $22 for 3 toppings, I expect a decent and even distribution of those ingredients. Disgusting and inedible! My search continues...

Our dearest, most reliable, not sh*t pizza delivery in Ballard. They always get the order right, delivery is usually a lot faster than their 35-45 quote, you can totally venture into the pasta section and be satisfied, AND....they open at 10am. So don't fret all you non-detail oriented drunkards. You too can wake up, order pizza, and then go right back to sleep, only waking for the sweet sweet sound of your door bell calling you to the best breakfast ever.

So... the pizza really isn't my style. And the place isn't my scene. But I will say that they do exactly what I envisioned they'd do with dough and meat here last night, so I really can't complain too much. I'd been driving by Soprano's forever and since we were in the mood to try something different last night, we thought we'd give it a go. If you've got family and you need okay food, reasonable prices, and a child friendly restaurant, you'll find that all here. The beer selection is pretty good, with a variety of bottles and Mac 'n' Jack's on Tap. We started with their half antipasto salad, which was fine. meat, cheese, tomatoes, vinegarette. It was again exactly what we expected it to be. It came with your standard garlic bread. We went with the Matador, which was exactly what they said it'd be on the menu, it just wasn't anything special. Chicken, meatballs, jalepenos, tomatoes, pesto with a weird sour cream thing going on. The service was fine. The bill was $26. For a beer, a big salad, some garlic bread and a medium pizza, we thought it was a pretty good deal. In search of plain jane, okay, family friendly food in the 'llard (because hey- sometimes that's what works), go here. It's exactly that.

We love Sopranos! The caesar with anchovies is wonderful and pizza is always good. The staff manages to make families with children, young couples, and even retirees like me feel welcome and respected. The food is very good and the people even better! Love it.

TERRIBLE! I ordered from Soprano's in September. The delivery driver forgot the order of garlic bread. I called and the English as a second language (funny-advertisements show guys who look pretty American... I just hate ESL communication issues over the phone...) person, who wasn't very friendly, asked me if I wanted the bread or a credit on my next order. A little presumptuous I would say... Right. Like I'm gonna try again. It isn't so much that they screwed-up. It was how they handled it. I shouldn't have to wait to get a credit on my next order. You screwed up THIS order so the credit should apply now. I just wanted the bread that I had ordered and paid for. It came an hour or so later. Since I had ordered before all of the other orders, my bread delivery should have been priority and it wasn't. The food was waaaaayy too salty to even eat and the garlic bread I'd waited for, really just wasn't worth the wait. Really??? Hot dog buns??? Sometimes even cheap food is too expensive for what it is. This was one of those times. Terrible delivery, terrible service, and most of all, terrible food. Great if you are looking for some kind of salt high but otherwise, save your blood pressure for something worthy. I'd like to give NO stars but I needed at least one to post this review.

My husband and I had pizza and chicken wings delivered for the first time from Soprano's to watch a football game. On my second piece of pizza, I hit a crunch. When I pulled it out to see what it was -- it was GLASS!! A piece of GLASS on my pizza! I was SO shaken up! What if my daughter had eaten that piece? I promptly called them and they asked what I wanted - and I said my money back. They wanted to see the glass so they came back to pick it up. On the return receipt - they returned the money for the pizza, but NOT THE WINGS! Can you believe that? Not only was there GLASS ON MY PIZZA, but then to add the POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Never going there again.

I've been ordering here for many years. I've never had an incorrect order and delivery service is always fast and polite (even when I lived up by Carkeek Park). The online ordering is SO awesome! You basically pick your pie and you can add/subtract/substitute any ingredients you want from crust thickness to sauce to cheeses to toppings. And they NEVER get it wrong. The menu is large and eclectic. There are a TON of "specialty" pizzas. Just pick one closest to the one you want and then customize it with your online ordering. They also have pasta, salad, blah blah blah. The spinach salad is pretty decent - if I worked nearby I'd have it for lunch often. I like that this restaurant invests back into the community. Also, I read that ownership leans libertarian which doesn't hurt. I must subtract a star because the quality of ingredients is mediocre and sometimes they are not described accurately either. Just order the "baby back pork ribs" and you'll know what I mean. It's more like pork buttons. They taste fine and you can't beat the price of $7 but let's not pretend we're Royal Daulton when we're Corningware. I'm probably going to sound like a snob now, but this place could really ROCK (and they could charge so much more) if they pumped up the quality to match the awesomeness of the menu choices. But I suspect their current business model works great despite snobs like me. They mimic upscale options but still keep the prices low. I like it. It's a good compromise. Perhaps I can best sum it up by saying that when it's just "us" we order Soprano's. When we have friends over, we order Pagliacci's. Does that makes sense?

I thought I would get a salad today. I've always felt that a Caesar Salad is a good measurement of how a restaurant is. I had the large Caesar salad with shrimp. It was possibly the most unappetizing, overdressed, uninteresting salad I've ever had. When the bagged caesar salads you can get at the grocery store are better than yours, you have a problem. Soprano's, you have a problem. Bleh.

I ordered the fish and chips, when it got to my home over an hour later it was terrible! completely disgusted. my fish was cold and because they put it in a box it had sweated and was so soggy! and my french fries were frozen! wtf?? so i called to complain and got the same RUDE LADY that always answers the phone and she offered me nothing, no replacement food, no credit for later! The fourth star is for solid, reasonably dependable delivery. We've put a few years of ordering from these guys under our belt before reviewing...that's just my dedication to a quality product for you...and I have never seen the inside of this joint. The pizza is semi-decent in the typical Seattle Greek/Italian pizza vein, and the toppings are pretty good. There is nothing seriously standout here, but if you're used to mass produced (tasting) crusts, typical sauce, OK toppings, brought to your door so you don't have to get dressed or dirty your kitchen...than Soprano's is alright. The girl on the phone sounds sedated, and it's spooky how they immediately know who/where I am when I call. I guess technology is passing me by. The hot wings are the bomb. IMHO, best thing on the menu. They are not dry baked, but cooked some other way which leaves them soft and slide off the bones amazing. Hot and spicy, with blue cheese. Is there any other way? The pizza is an afterthought after we fight over these suckers. And yeah, we eat it in bed where, as some comedienne said, EVERYTHING IS A NAPKIN.

Service is fine, food is kinda good the first few bites, until it cools down and becomes almost inedible. The stars are pretty much for the service, so if you're contemplating delivery or take-out, I wouldn't do it if I were you. It's not worth going into detail.

Thanks!

I love this place! I've been going here for seven years now! Friends with the owner-absolutely love her! She's super sweet! They give a good amount if good and it is so so good! Their pizza is delicious but nothing beats their pepperoni pizza!

  • Jon S.

  • Jen P.

  • Omarosa H.

Unremarkable mass-produced food and wayyyyyy too much salt in the sauces. It is overpowering.

  • Nina F.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
