I took my sister here to eat for her 21st birthday a while back, and it was the best! We checked in and told them it was her birthday, they were especially nice. We each got our own steak, mine being filet mignon. It was medium rare and perfectly cooked, our sides included mashed potatoes, the sweet potato casserole, and vegetables. The service was exceptional although we had to send my mom's steak back because the sizzling dish that was sent out with it, started to overcook the steak. They were happy to make a new one and bring out an extra plate!

Stopped in for breakfast. Coffee was luke warm at best and my cup spent more time empty as it could not seem to be refilled by anyone. The kitchen messed up my omelet and after it was re-cooked it was still wrong. You would think that after sending it back the first time the kitchen would get it right - you would think. To his credit Nelson, the server comped the meal. This is my worst experience ever at a Ruth Chris. At least I did not have to pay for it.

Came here for Happy Hour with a girlfriend. First of all, this location is inside the Hyatt's hotel in downtown Seattle. There were no free parking and we went into the Hyatt's parking garage hoping that they would validate. Nope, they could only validate you if you pulled up your car in the valet section...what? There was no signs what's so ever about this. We ended up having to pay 8 dollars for parking. The inside of the restaurant is quite dark. It is not a huge restaurant, with half of it being next to the bar and half of it main dining. You can see the wide open kitchen in the main dining area. They have a very small HH menu, with very limited small dishes. We ordered an Apple Martini, Lemon Drop, and a Fried Calamaris. The Calamaris were amazing! It was probably the best Calamaris I have had! The drinks were very strong which was great!

Great dinner and happy hour. Brunch is pretty typical but good. Outstanding service! The location makes this a perfect spot for before/after walking around downtown or seeing a show at the Paramount. Also, the restaurant is attached to the Grand Hyatt in case you need to spend the night in the city.

This was just another Ruth Chris. Meaning, delicious food, good drinks, great service, and wonderful ambiance. The great thing about this chain is that it's elegant and professional, but I don't feel like I have to be in a dress with heels in order to fit in. We stepped in when in Seattle for happy hour and ordered iced teas, seared ahi, BBQ shrimp, and prime rib sliders. We were going to meet someone later for something pretty serious so we declined any alcoholic drinks and were never pressured to order them, unlike some places during HH. The ahi and the sliders were delicious, but the shrimp were just out of the world! Super buttery and flavorful, and perfectly spicy, the only issue was that the dish didn't come with a hundred shrimp . Since then, we've taken friends and family to eat the same dish and everyone loves it.

This Ruth Chris is a bit different from others I've been because it anchors the Hyatt Grand, which has no other restaurant, though there is a large Starbucks right off the lobby. No Ruth Chris that I know of opens for breakfast at 7AM. And the RC in Santa Barbara, which went under, certainly didn't have a late night happy hour because in SB most decent food places stop serving by 10. Harry's Bar and Chuck's of Hawaii are about the only places you can get a decent meal "late" (which SB defines as 10PM on weeknights and 11PM on weekends). Service was great everywhere we went in Seattle, but nowhere better than here. I must have had three breakfasts and two happy hours during my boyfriend's American Planners Association national conference. I never ate dinner there so I can't say whether as a steakhouse it deserves 5 stars. But the food is very good. I love tablecloths and this Ruth Chris is truly elegant with an elevated seating area which furnishes a lovely view of the bar. There is also a downstairs near the large, plush bathrooms. It's a nice place to set up with your laptop between conference sessions. Seattle restaurants do something most LA or SB places don't: they offer cheap a la carte sides (two poached eggs for 3 of 4 is unheard of in So Cal). The only thing they can't manage is toast: the bread is horrible and it bends. They're happy to redo but when you start with bad bread, you get bad toast, no matter what butter or jam you use. The happy hour home runs: 1. Seared ahi: A lot of high quality, perfectly prepared tuna with a nice pickled cucumber/ginger side and terrific sauce. At 7, this dish stunned both me and my boyfriend, whose favorite fish is ahi. 2. Caesar salad: Excellent and large, though a bit heavy on dressing. If you like dressing, order as is. If you're watching calories, definitely order on the side and dress the salad yourself. 3. Prime rib sliders: the meat is excellent, but again, the bread not so great. They really need to upgrade the bread for everything at Ruth Chris, the chain's only weak point Booze is cheap at happy hour! And the drinks are enormous. My Manhattan was like a double plus and quite good even with their house bourbon. I have one and only one major complaint, and according to the bartender I am about the hundredth person to register it in the time he's been working: the menu lists the calories of all non-happy hour or well cocktails. NO ONE WANTS TO KNOW that his or her Sazerac is 410 calories. They truly should reprint the booze menu. I drink Sazeracs only in New York and now every time I have one, I will be consumed with guilt. File this under the category of TMI, or "shit no one needs to know."

Of the Ruth's I've been to, the Seattle one wins in the design category. The place is airy and well lit, not a darkened wood paneled Old Boy meat locker. Very pleasant. Have been twice now, getting the cowboy ribeye on the first visit. Perfectly prepared medium rare, délicious. Friday night I chose another prix fixe: small filet with lobster tail, starter, side, dessert. At around $50, this represents the best value by far. Had a chicken and tortellini soup which was good, although would really benefit from losing the chicken. Think tortellini en brodo, Ruth's, make it simpler. Side of creamed spinach was blander than I remember at other visits to other locations. It was fine, just rather plain. It's creamed spinach, after all. Other sides at the table were mashed potatoes (chunky), and a delicious corn preparation with red pepper and a hot pepper mince. Get it. The filet, however, just wasn't special at all, and medium rare was easily medium. Lobster tail was small but delicious, probably about 3 ounces. The searing hot plate didn't help the doneness on the small steak. It continued to cook. The prix fixe also offers other choices, including ribeye. I would go in that direction. Filet mignon is just a boring cut without enough fat. I should know better. Great service, nice space, good Ruth's overall.

My husband and I had a great experience at Ruth's Chris after watching a Husky game yesterday. We ordered the lobster bisque and gumbo for a starter but the bisque is a fail for me, it taste bitter and burnt. The Petit Filet and shrimp was my fave of all, tender and so yummy! My husband ordered the mixed grill and he was equally satisfied with his food as well! The crab cake and the stuffed chicken was delicious too! With a little flaw regarding the lobster bisque I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Not to mention the service was great, we left with happy tummy and a smile on our face. We will come back for another foody day! Thank you!

The food..just amazing. I have not had a better steak. The service was a bit slow when we were first seated but after that, our waiter was attentive and very nice.

My BF and I came here for our Christmas Eve dinner. I ordered a filet steak with shrimp and mashed potatoes and had the winter soup as an appetizer. I wish I ordered just a huge bowl of soup and some bread. :( The steak was overly buttery, and it tasted too "meaty". I was in need of some A1. The mashed potatoes tasted like old potatoes. My BF's Salmon was tasty, but his was pretty buttery too. Overall, not impressed, and my wallet was definitely not happy.

Prior visits were just average. This time, I had the rib steak. Wow, it was fantastic, juicy, and flavorful. One of the best steaks of this year. My husband's filet was also very good. The service was timely and friendly, and they made us feel welcome. The valet parking was handy and the overall experience was positive.

Wow.. We've been waiting for years for the right opportunity to experience Ruth's Chris and all we can say is it exceeded all expectations...!!! Amazing service to our table at the reserved time (reservation via Yelp on iPhone was flawless) and also included a special request for a view for our 29th anniversary dinner. Although there is no revolving tower view of the Puget Sound ala Space Needle, our table was expertly prepared including a nice garnish of foil confetti to mark the occasion... NICE TOUCH R.C....!!! We were lucky enough to get what I can only assume to be their TOP waiter... Kevin.. (a real "McCoy")... And he expertly tended our every need as if he could read our mind... A true sign of a professional in every way. My wife and I both ordered the RC house special where the total meal price included the soup or salad, main course and a dessert. My wife ordered the Ceasar Salad that was perfect with the fresh grated Parmesan and I took a chance on the Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo... Believe me, we BOTH could very easily made a complete meal with what we had, especially with the fresh hot bread and butter.., the gumbo was out of this world... Truly amazing.!!! For the choices of main entrée there were several combinations available including petite filet w/lobster tail, and various sizes of Ribeyes (12 or 16oz) which is what my wife and I respectively ordered.. Medium. Well all I can say is that they both were the absolute finest and most perfectly prepared pieces of aged beef we have both experienced in our lives... Without exception... And I pride myself in expert Ribeye prep and finish on my own grill at home.., the famed butter finish, which I have never tried at home made me a believer...!!! We both had to quit with nary 2-3 bites left of the delectable morsels of heaven... At which time Kevin surprised us with a complementary toast of champaign followed by an over the top dessert presentation of strawberry shortcake, whipped cream, dark chocolate truffle fudge bites with vanilla bean ice-cream... Did I mention the "Happy 29th Anniversary" expertly scrolled onto the plate...??!! Over the top Kevin...!! (And the rest of the staff). Thank you for making this a most memorable evening... SALUTE

The steak with the trio dipping sauces was amazing!!! The lobster mac n cheese was really good and they did not skimp on the lobster. We were there with a party and our server was amazing! Will be back

Came here for pre-funk concert. Met up with my buddies for cocktails and appetizers. Was not disappointed. Martinis were great and the calamari, Ahi, sliders, and crispy lobster were delicious. My only disappointment was not coming back after the show for a steak...

I absolutely love this Ruth location. I don't come here often (bc I'm a college student and their menu is expensive lol), but I come here with my boyfriend on special occasions or just on a date night when we're in Seattle. The staff here are so friendly. And the food is amazing!!! We got the filet and it was absolutely delicious. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Their strawberry lemonades are pretty good too although the price of one is a little unreasonable bc it's like half of a cup at the Cheesecake Factory! Also, try the lobster mac and cheese!!! At first I didn't think it would be good but it is amazing!!! Other than that, I've had no problems here every time I've came. I definitely prefer this location vs the one in Bellevue.

I came here with some family friends as a guest. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and thought it was delicious. Since I don't eat red meat, I can't give my thoughts on it. However, I heard that those who had the steak that it was pretty tasty. Two of the steaks were not cooked enough (medium-rare as opposed to medium), but our server was able to quickly take them back and bring them back cooked more. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to steak lovers and people who want to experience a good meal. Also, they do have several vegetarian options!

My husband and I came here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and I loved it! When we were taken to our table they had confetti on our table to Celebrate our anniversary to make it extra special! Our waiter Kevin was amazing and fun to have. He made us feel right at home and loved his company. Our food was amazing and my filet just melted in my mouth and the Lobster was good too. We had dessert and on our plate said Happy Anniversary which was a great touch. I would definitely tell people to come here.

Excellent service! Very quick, we arrived early for our reservations (45 minutes early) and they had no trouble seating us. Our wait staff was excellent, from bringing us water and bread to the excellent suggestion of wine. The steaks were magnificent (ribeye and the filet with shrimp), the sides were served family style, so one order was enough for both. To top it off, the dessert, creme and fresh fruits and the creme brulee, were divine. An absolutely wonderful experience and I cannot wait to go back.

I have experienced much much better at this location. We ordered bbq shrimp, couple of steaks and a baked potato along with a side of asparagus. The shrimp was really a tad cold and the steaks were both cooked RARE as hell which was requested one cooked medium and the other medium rare. Just a big disappointment is all when you come here and expect the very best. I will be back as always later in a month or 2 and hopefully with the order done right. It was 9pm at night so maybe they just rushed the hell outta our table because they were in a hurry to go home or something. $90 something as well as a tip and valet parking and so not worth it this time. My steak was taken off the bill and my friend gagged his down the best he could since he was so hungry.

My husband and I went here for our 3 year wedding anniversary. It was amazing service and very accommodating when I requested a different booth for a little more privacy - wink, wink. We both had something off of the special menu with my husband opting for the New York strip and I let our server surprise me (with ribeye) as I am not usually a very picky eater. Our meat was perfectly cooked to our liking with my husband joking about why I don't make them that way... Our sides were green beans and glazed carrots and were a wonderful compliment. I look forward to going back for the next special occasion!

Very disappointed with atmosphere. Very inappropriate language from other guest made our dinner unacceptable. At a 200.00 bill you would expect the manager to address the issue but he did not.

Okay so went here for dinner this time we didnt need reservations! The dining place looks like the one from the tv show hells kitchen. My inlaws and i irdered sweet potatoe casserole, a ceasar salad, chicken bianco, crabcakes, spicy lobster bites, and i ordered the petite filet and shrimp but only got my filet.. So i told the waiter and he brought me out an extra serving of shrimp. Thats what i like if its your mistake gotta compensate! Anyways heres the pictures! As always steak was

Made reservations here on my last night in Seattle. The host was nice enough to check in our coats for us, before I even asked. I had the Ruth's classic dinner. I ordered the gumbo, 6oz filet with shrimp and had a chocolate dessert. The gumbo was really wonderful! I felt a bit fill after finishing it. It's fairly good for the price you're paying, but unfortunately it wasn't as rare as I like for it to be, considering that it came out on a 500 degree plate. When it arrived, it was a bit brown and chewy. The shrimp tasted frozen. The chocolate dessert..was too much for me, as I am not a chocolate lover. My blueberry mojito was good, not really strong. Service was attentive, but as soon as they picked up, it definitely took time for him to acknowledge us again. Yet, he was kind enough to honor our 10% Yelp discount. Next time, I think I will try a steakhouse that Seattle is known for.

We visited Ruth's Chris while in Seattle on a trip from Vancouver. The interior is very nice and the waiter was friendly however the food was extremely overpriced and mediocre. For a steak that costs $47.00 with no sides (each side is approx $10.00-$15.00 each) you are expecting the absolute best steak of your life at a perfect medium rare. The steaks are absolutely soaked in butter (gross) and half of them were missing the toppings that we paid extra for including a blue cheese crust and another with a bearnaise sauce. They also brought out a wrong entree for one person at our table. I ordered a $12.00 loaded potato as a side but it came with fake plasticy bacon bits. I'm sorry but when you are paying premium price for a damn potato, it should be excellent like the Keg's. Bottom line: while the food tastes good, it is not worth your hard earned money.

I came to Ruths for their amazing happy hour. I am a regular at Ruths Chris in San Diego so I know exactly what to expect when I go in and what to order. There were a few things that turned me off of this location, minor, but for a high end restaurant I expect great things. They don't per policy put a lemon wedge of skin in lemon drop cocktails. It's all about presentation and to not have Of added it made it look like a regular martini. I had to ask for a lemon so that I could Instagram the picture with my girlfriends martini. My girlfriends martini was an apple martini, but the waitress forgot the cherry. I actually walked over to the bar to grab a cherry for it, and the waitress offered to bring it back to the table, and I advised her that it wasn't necessary. At that point I didn't want anything to do with her. Very sloppy in my opinion. And her appearance looked like she just rolled out of bed. And she did have an attitude when I asked where the lemon was for a lemon drop. I also found a piece of Caesar salad on my plate of calamari. They are two different entrees and like I mentioned, presentation is everything. I actually had to summon the manager to tell him of my recommendations because I hold this steakhouse to a very high standard. I am a weekly visitor at my local one, and always am treated very well. This place could use a few tips of the higher standard in Del mar. I gave it 4 stars because I did address the issues with the manager and he genuinely seemed concerned about the little things that make all the difference. And I didn't see the waitress after I summoned the manager. She could tell I didn't want anything to do with her after the first conversation we had.

Wife and I had a great anniversary dinner here! Marc was an outstanding waiter and made sure that our anniversary dinner was a special one. Food was great as always and we want to thank the nice couple that bought our first drink!! Hands down the best Ruth Chris experience we have had!

Such a weird name for a restaurant. The interweb told me that there a dude named Chris who had a famous steak house. Then Ruth came along and opened her own "Chris Steak House". Thus the weird name? I'm not a big steak fan so I avoided this place until I was hungrily trying to pass time waiting for the xx to start at the Paramount. The atmosphere isn't as grand as I thought it would be, but it was clean and pleasant. The food was good. The service was prompt and confident. Not bad a restaurant. The lounge is sort cool too.

Okay... Here it is. The RE-review you've been waiting for! A third visit was attempted and is now heading for the Yelp record books... And the verdict is.... Ruth's Chris achieved commendable redemption! At this point, since I've been staying in the hotel for more than a month, I half-wondered if they recognized me (both from my first/second experiences and Yelp review), because they were extremely attentive, beyond eager to help, and provided Queen-of-Sheba-ish-like service from the moment I walked in. It was such a stark contrast to my last visit, that I have to admit a dose of skepticism was in my mind... The hostess greeted me with a bright smile and friendly demeanor, escorting me to the bar with fluid gestures like she was composing a symphony. I felt like a VIP from her greeting alone. Once I was seated at the bar, the manager noticed I was sitting without a menu and hurried right over. After a few questions and presentation of the full dinner menu, I was tended to quickly with water and place settings. I only sat for about 30 seconds before that first contact. Marked improvement! I ordered from their pre-fixe menu and braved the creamed spinach once again. No issues this time and everything, including the lobster, was cooked to perfection. I sat at the bar, drinking, eating, and chatting up a $150 tab over the course of 3 hours. Not ONCE during that time did I hear any of the chairs drag across the floor! What a difference! I was able to have a pleasant conversation with another patron, which led to more drinks for both of us and more revenue for Ruth's Chris :) I hope this wasn't just an exceptional night, because the changes are having a positive financial impact on the bar :) My steak was a perfect mid-rare, but the butter came out congealed once again on both the steak and in the serving dish for the lobster. The bartender asked if my food was cooked to my satisfaction about 3 minutes after it was served (perfect timing - and another first in my 3 visits). I inquired about the butter. She explained that they serve it cool and solidified on purpose for "the experience" with the 500° plates. If that was just a cover-up, she was quite convincing, but I'd still prefer my butter super hot and melty from the jump. I would think most people would feel that way. The 500° plate in and of itself is a sufficient "experience" for me :) The dessert was a pineapple bread pudding. It had some kind of tropical name, which escapes my memory (probably because I had 3 Chopin/sodas at that point). It was cloyingly sweet and the sauce was way too rich. It may have been better with a subtle crème anglaise or small canaille of vanilla ice cream. In summary, this dining experience was a tremendous improvement over my prior visits. I still have a month in this hotel (Grand Hyatt), so they still have time to earn 5 stars from me :) Cheers!

To be fair...I didn't pay for my meal and I know it's very pricey here. However, the meal itself was amazing. I ordered a salad, petit filet with asparagus side, and we shared a lobster for the table and drank a 2011 Leonetti Cab (local). Service was top notch...maybe because some of the guys we were with was from the same hometown as the server and manager but nontheless service was top notch. Drinks were filled and we were stuffed. Everyone's meal was incredibly good and really filling. Some of us didn't even get to finish our meal. It's also convenient since it's in the hotel we were staying at (Grand Hyatt) which is next to the convention.

"Are you guys going to the show tonight?" - Hostess as she sat us at our table. So I guess that's really my entire review for this place. Like, you gotta be above a certain tax bracket to be here. I'm for-fucking-sure not above said tax bracket, but I was actually going to this "show" (opera) that the hostess somehow knew I was going to. Like...the restaurant isn't even close to the theater. That was one of the better guesses I've ever witnessed in my life. Also, I learned that a synonym for the word "wealthy" is "going to an opera." Go to an opera though, my guys. Even if you're broke like me. Gotta get cultured and be refined. Honestly, what we ordered was pure narcotics. I ordered the Surf n Turf and I literally just about lost it. That lobster must've grown up in the happiest place in the entire sea and feasted on only the finest crustaceans or whatever lobsters eat. I think maybe if they eat crustaceans then that makes them cannibals? It's like if you live in the ocean, you can be both a pescatarian and a cannibal at the same time. Idk man the ocean is big. I feel kind of weird writing a review for Ruth's Chris 'cuz it's like, its fucking Ruth's Chris. It's going to be good. Maybe if a restaurant reaches a certain level of fame and respect for quality, then maybe you don't need to Yelp them. We didn't order drinks for fear of bankruptcy, but I had one of the most exquisite meals of memory for about $150 (for two). Also, Fabolous and a bunch of other rappers rap about taking girls to Ruth's Chris, so consider that checked off of my ghetto fabulous bucket list.

whoa, this was good. it's a pretty place, and i finally realized i had been inside before...when it was another restaurant. it's laid a bit weird, but you get over it. i had the ribeye, which was heavily marbled and just sooo tasty. wow. really great steak. i ordered a side of broccoli and some mashed, which helped cut the richness. too stuffed for dessert. had a couple of great glasses of gramercy cab. i saw a silver oak for $28 a glass and decided not. aside from a snafu of them not knowing who ordered what (pretty bad for a place like this), service was good. there was an elderly man at the table who wanted to talk, and props to the staff for a little ear indulgence. this place wasn't a favorite before, but i might need to change my mind. great meal.

It's been a long, long time since I went to a Ruth Chris Steak House. I actually forgot what I didn't like about them...It's the hot plates on which they serve the meat...I ordered my porterhouse which costs 90 bucks rare...It came out perfectly done...the flavor of the beef was fantastic, however, after about 5 minutes since the plate came out just sizzling...reputed to be 500 degrees...the steak went from rare to medium being cooked by the plate...If I had remembered to order on a normal plate it would have been an absolutely outstanding meal...as it was...the hot plate over-cooked my steak...We were a party of 7. My grandkids & inlaws...We all really enjoyed our food...My grand daughter (14 yrs old) says it's the best steak she's ever had, so all in all it was a positive experience...I just need to remember next time to order my steak on a non-heated regular plate...

My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary here, and it was wonderful. I had made the reservation online, and there was a place for notes, where I indicated it was our anniversary. When we arrived our table (a really nice table on the upper level at the end) was sprinkled with hearts and love confetti, what a nice touch! The server, Sean, greeted us and said Happy Anniversary. His great service continued throughout the evening. The food was amazing. We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms, delicious. We shared a yummy wedge salad, then we moved onto the main event. We got the porterhouse for two. Simply divine. Cooked exactly to order, split onto two sizzling hot plates with melted butter at our table. It was melt in your mouth delicious, the best steak I have ever had. We chose the sweet potato casserole as our side, which was also delicious. All of this was enjoyed with an Oregon pinot noir, that we never once had to pour ourselves, it was as if Sean knew exactly when our glasses needed filling. At one point I used the restroom, and when I returned he had folded my napkin on the table. Such a nice touch. At the end of the meal Sean brought a dessert with candles and Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. Wow. Icing on the cake, as they say. Also worth noting, the valet parking is very nice. Convenient and easy, good for 3 hours, they just add $10 to your check. Only one complaint, nothing that I wanted to take away any stars for, but I do want to mention it. We each had two drinks in the bar before our reservations. We called our liquor, my husband had two Bombay Sapphire gin & tonics and I had two Grey Goose martinis. If we had known this would total $50, we may have gotten well drinks, or maybe only one each. Those were some expensive drinks. But it was a special occasion, and everything else was wonderful. The food was pricey too, of course, but well worth it.

Excellent food & service. Jessee took great care of my hubby & I. He recommended an excellent wine from the Columbia Valley region (Gramercy Cab) which was fabulous, paired with our cowboy ribeye, and it was fantastic, by the way...cooked to perfection. The sides were great too. A very pleasurable experience, we highly recommend it, you can't go wrong with Ruth's Chris!

Took my wife here for a nice steak because I had heard a ton of hype. Service - A+ service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The Steak - I ordered a rib eye and I was pretty disappointed. My steak was pretty tough and chewy overall. I've had better steaks at tourist traps here, no joke. I don't know if this was a rare occurrence or what, but , for the money, I felt kind of ripped off. Seating - There was a lot of great seating, but we got seated right at the front door. It was so cold my wife had to put on a coat...to eat dinner. Overall I found this place to be large on hype and that's about it.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Had dinner here late one night after a conference. The steaks (ribeye and filet) were prepared perfectly and our waiter was on the ball. The drinks were very good. Yes, I know it is a chain and you are in Seattle, but you will not be disappointed here. The booths are really comfortable too.

Ruth's Chris is a high end chain steakhouse that doesn't really fit into my rotation all that often. Although I am an avowed carnivore, I feel like steak has a pretty poor cost/benefit ratio, and it's rare that I'll pay $100+ per person for a steak meal, unless there's some sort of special occasion. However, as many of my friends know, your humble author loves a good deal and I've never been constrained by decorum on finding these out... So after hearing about the slam-dunk happy hour prices at Ruth's Chris restaurants, I decided to check it out for myself. Happy hour review: Pleasantly surprised, dear readers... Swanky location for sure. A few draft beers and house red/white wine glasses were $4. Specialty cocktails were $7, well drinks were even cheaper at $5 and they featured fresh squeezed juices that normally retail for the same price as the cocktail itself! I did see some very reasonably priced food items on the happy hour as well (burger & fries as well as ahi tuna appetizer were $7), but having dinner plans at another joint, we decided to skip the fare for another day. Normally, these happy hour prices at a normal bar would be considered very fair, but with such under market pricing for high quality drinks in a upscale location directly adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Seattle... well, that my friends, is the definition of a steal... hence, probably the huge after-work Friday night crowd at the bar. In the end, I think I paid just under $30 for four or five drinks with a 30% tip taking in the melodious sounds of smooth, silky jazz in a sexy ambience while content in knowing that I wasn't dinging my personal net worth too badly. Of course, this review is for the happy hour only. Caveat emptor when it comes to Ruth's Chris' regular pricing on their non happy hour menu.

3.5 Stars Our last night in Seattle we decided to come here for their late night Happy Hour 9pm-11pm. The drinks were stiff (much appreciate) but just very average in taste. There was no love put into it at all, but the bartenders were really nice and helped elevate our experience a bit more. Speaking of elevating the experience, THEIR SLIDERS ARE AMAZING!!! Super good, melt-in your mouth goodness! If I could eat those everyday I would. We also had the BBQ Shrimp and while I thought it was also very good, their was nothing BBQ about it. Grilled shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce. Yummy, but not BBQ. Final thought: I like the Happy Hour selection of food and would return mainly for the Sliders and maybe even for a sit-down dinner.

This place is awesome. I rarely give out a five star review. My boyfriend and I decided to come here for dinner after meandering the city for the day. Since it was a last minute decision, we were dressed *very* casually for such an establishment. The staff never once made us feel inadequate or unwelcome. Our server was amazing. I explained my gluten allergy to her and she was so great about advising me through their menu. The food was incredible. My steak was done perfectly, and the side dishes were just as good. The real treat was the creme brule (I know I'm spelling this wrong, but auto correct isn't helping me here). Overall I would definitely return to this restaurant next time we decide to drop a few bills on dinner. Maybe next time I'll leave the well loved hoodie behind and put on my fancy pants.

Happy hour on a Saturday afternoon: Was told by the hostess that there is a designated line to wait to be seated in the bar. When I asked about the wait time, she said "You are welcome to walk through...." which I prompted did. Halfway along the bar, a wait person stops me "You need to get in line!" Apparently anyone out of line gets their knickers in a knot. LOL. Wait was about 5 minutes. Service was fair. Attitude was curt. Food was good: Caesar salad and ahi tuna. Drinks pour was ok. Will be back if I'm feeling up to dealing with the parking situation. But then it **is** worthwhile paying a visit to the Tesla store :)

I have now been to about a dozen different Ruth's Chris restaurants, and this one shines like all the others. Perfectly prepared steak. We tried the potatoes au gratin for the first time, and they were delicious. You simply can't go wrong eating here.

Mm. Some holidays are better than others, and father's day is one of my favorites. Mainly because, my children's father loves a good steak. So at least once a year I get to indulge in amazing steak under the guise of getting him his wish. See how that works? Made reservations for the big day in advance and they had plenty of openings. They even offered a special menu for the day, but we passed and stuck with the good stuff. Neither of us have been here, so the menu was a bit overwhelming. Plus the children weren't hungry, thanks to the popcorn they snacked on earlier in the afternoon. Fine, more for us. We both ordered our appetizers, crab stuffed mushrooms. They were delicious, and cheesy. We opted to get two petite filet's that were medium rare. Both were perfectly seasoned and prepared, just a wonderfully tender steak. I ordered mine with shrimp that I shared with him and I was not disappointed. There was just enough seasoning on the shrimp that it didn't hide their delicious shrimp-y flavor. So good. One of the kids had some ice cream, and the waiter who was pretty awesome opt'd to bring ice cream to the other kid free of charge. Pretty cool if you're my kids, I would say. The drinks were yummy, and the kids seemed to enjoy the food they had. I would be prepared to pay a bit more, but as I've always said I will pay more if the food is good. Do yourself a favor, check it out and enjoy a big hunk of red meat.

Oh my goodness gracious, where do I even start?! Yesterday was our 6 year wedding anniversary so my husband made us reservations. When we got there, we were greeted with a beautiful ambiance with dim lighting and soft candles. The hostesses were dressed in black suits and looked very sharp and professional. They got us to our reserved table quickly and they had little confetti with happy anniversary written all over it! How thoughtful is that? I started tearing up. Then our server, Sean, came by and talked to us about the menu since we have never been there. The food is expensive but well worth it! I ordered the cowboy ribeye which is 22 oz and my husband ordered a 24 oz t bone. Both were amazing. We got the garlic mashed potatoes with it. For an appetizer, we ordered the seared ahi which I highly recommend!!! So so so good. They brought us complimentary dessert also with happy anniversary written on it with chocolate sauce :) Our bill came to $158, so as you can see it's not cheap but if you don't eat out a lot like us and you've got a babysitter for the night, I highly recommend experiencing this place! You won't regret it. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that every single employee we came in contact with was very professional and polite and they all told us happy anniversary. They made us feel really special :)

Ruth's Chris did not bring their A-game last we visited. We were placed on the side/back of the restaurant, near the cooks. I normally don't care, but we were here for our anniversary and they knew this. Bottom line... The food was great, they were about 20 minutes late each time on check-ins with our table, dessert was a miss-communication on their end, we had to ask the "secondary/support" server for the check, they screwed up the check + the yelp 10% off, the place was rowdy for a pro-sports game (management did not interrupt them), the experience was 2 & 1/2 hours long (too long), and my wife contacted them via email - no response. Not a terribly awesome experience. They used to nail it, and this night was a complete miss.

My experience here has been lovely. My host greeted me and my date very warmly. My server was excellent. Very attentive. The food was of course to die for. The best part is taking leftovers home and finishing at home. They were very happy to take 10% off the check when I showed them my yelp discount.

Everything here is as expected and a few levels beyond. Their filet mignon is my recommendation, and prepared near perfection. The service level and hospitality are mastered by a staff that really lets the pride show. This is the "it" place for special occasions. The Sunday night happy hour is a favorite of ours. Suggestion: Budget $80 to $100 per person

I was told that this is the only Ruths Chris that serves breakfast. Unfortunately, breakfast is not their forte. Only because we were staying in the Hyatt adjacent to the restaurant did we eat there. Wait staff in general were attentive. Breakfasts were expensive and blah. I don't usually mind expensive if food is "wow", "blah" I mind!

I would like to personally commend Mike Neumann the General Manager of Ruth's Chris Steak House in Downtown Seattle for his excellent personal touch & legendary costumer service, when he turned our not so great dining experience into a fabulous one!!! We arrived at the restaurant with a group of 7 & planned to have drinks and apps prior to the play we were attending. We arrived 1 our before the show as to start & the restaurant was a short walk to the theater. We ordered immediately & let our waitress know that we were headed to a 7:30 show & asked if we had enough time to enjoys some drinks and apps. She said we had plenty of time if we put our orders in ASAP. So we did, & our food never came!! The 2 tables on either side of us sat down after us & they received their food soon after they ordered, & we still had not received any of ours. It was getting close to show time, so we brought if to the attention of our waitress, & decided to go ahead & pay our bill in advance so there would be no delay once the food arrived & we could leave & make it to our show. Our food finally arrived & we had only 5 min. to eat & had to run out the door with our prime rib sliders in hand. How could this have happened??? My girlfriend, who is a local from Seattle stayed behind to speak with the manager to let him know that we were all visiting from San Diego & that she was embarrassed at the service we had received!!! We had all parked in the parking lot attached to Ruth's Chris, so we all met back there after the show. When we arrived, Mike Neumann, the general manager came up to us and sincerely apologized for the rushed service we had experienced earlier & asked if he could treat us to a round of cocktails & some apps. that we could sit down & enjoy. He was so professional & so apologetic & he truly turned our not so great dining experience into a fabulous one. I would recommend Ruth's Chris Steak House in downtown Seattle to anyone!!! Thanks again Mike Neumann for turning our frowns upside down!!!!! Sincerely, Jeff & Jeanne DeBuys.

Definitely a go-to place for steak and potatoes! You can never go wrong with the Ruth Classic entrees! Get the rib eye and you'll feel like you're getting the best deal! We also tried the calmari this time and it was also very tasty! Ruth Chris never seems to disappoint. We made reservations prior to coming to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, they had our table nicely set with "happy birthday" confetti. The service from our waiter was also a plus! As always, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ruth Chris for any special occasions.

Dinner at this restaurant, a disappointment. We ordered steak, salads, and some sides. First tasted one of the sides. It was cold. Noticed the table next to us tried their steak and sent it back. Our server came by within a few minutes and asked how our meal was, mentioned the cold side and she took it back and brought back a warm one. Then the steak. Ordered medium, served well (no pink at all), it was tough and chewy from being overcooked/not a good selection of meat. The salad, covered in those nasty store-bought style croutons. Not wanting to continue to be part of the parade of patrons sending their food items back to be redone and since this was a special occasion, we decided to cut our losses and just not return. We've been to other restaurants in this chain and they were fine to great, this one not so much. Bottomline, if it's Happy Hour it's an ok place. For dinner, plenty of other options in downtown.

The ambience is pretty nice for a date, I think. I came here with some friends for HH on Friday night. The hostess told us to select our own seats... We walked in, looked around and all the tables were occupied, so we waited in the front. You know what's funny? NONE of the waitstaff came to the front to let us know when a table was open. We took to standing awkwardly in the walk space so we could see when someone left. Whatever. Anyway, their happy hour portions are alright. I had the seared Ahi tuna, julienne fries, and Caesar salad. The tuna was too salty, but tasted OK aside from that. Fries are fries are fries. Yummy, but half of it was the chaff that is so small it burns when the real fries are cooked to perfection. Caesar salad was... warm, which put me off it, and also bland. The waitress that had our table was nice. It was just OK. A really average experience. Three stars... then I woke up with food poisoning. :|

This review is based solely on a work-related dinner, for which I did not have to pay so I can't comment on the prices! Ruth Chris is the quintessential corporate steak house chain. Muted, lighting, aged beef, wine cellar and a standard safe for everyone menu pretty much sum it up. Throw in some appetizers, maybe an informative presenation on the newest pharmaceutical on the market and I am a happy camper. The appetizers were good. Stuffed mushrooms, some kind of shrimp in creamy garlic sauce and canapes. I liked the mushrooms the best. Tried the 16 ounce rib eye which was well marbled and sizzling on the plate. Decently marbled and tender. Sides were pretty standard for a steak joint. Mashed tater, creamed spinach, steamed asparagus etc. For dessert, the chocolate sin cake which was heavy and punishing. The service was excellent and should get 5 stars in my opinion. Overall not a bad experience. Next time will try the happy hour!

Ruth's Chris is my favorite place to have steak in Seattle. It's amazingly delicious and they always cook it just right. The butter that comes on top of it is like heaven - so amazing in itself and it adds to the steak without taking away from the flavor of the meat. God I love red meat. And butter (it's never directly killed anyone, right?). But anyway... The potatoes au gratin are so good that we ended up having to place an order for seconds in the middle of our meal and luckily, it came out super quickly... Although, I still would have happily eaten it even if I had already finished my steak. The service is always a hit and I have never been disappointed. I came in once with a large group and the waiter offered to split the check for us (we didn't even know we were allowed to do that with such a large group) and he did it very willingly. HAPPY HOUR: The sauce for the BBQ shrimp was so good that I probably would have licked the plate if the bar hadn't been so crowded. The prime rib sliders... oh my God. The seared ahi is incredible. And everything is like $5?! Plus I got an extra dirty martini for $4. I was beyond happy. Pretty sure I was humming as I ate... I couldn't help myself. I love Ruth's Chris. The End.

At this particular Ruth's Chris Steak House, we only had the breakfast so that's what I will be reviewing. We had dinner at a Ruth's Chris Steak House in Maui, HI about a year ago and loved it! So, I walked in with high expectations! Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed, especially for the price! The food really was only mediocre if that. I ordered the All American Breakfast, which I chose 2 eggs over-easy and sausages and it also came with a small bowl of fruit, red potatoes, and 2 pieces of toast. The sausages were the best part of my meal. They tasted homemade and were quite delicious. My eggs actually tasted cold and I don't mean it cooled a little during their transition from the kitchen to my table, but COLD! On top of that, the eggs did not taste like they were seasoned. I wasn't looking for anything special, just a little salt and pepper. I think the salt and pepper I was looking for in my eggs were all used for the potatoes! They were so loaded with salt and pepper that after about two bites, I would have stopped if I was not in starvation mode that morning! And just to spite me, both my wheat toast were burnt! We waited quite long for our food particularly when there were maybe a total of 8 people there, but the wait staff were friendly and attentive. I think if this was just another cheap meal, I would have been more generous with my rating and not so grueling with my critique, but when I could have made our entire meal cheaper and better.....I am not so lenient with my judgement!

I actually came here for a real dinner, instead of happy hour, as a friend wanted to take me out someplace nice and chose Ruth's Chris. Since I love their happy hour so much, I was down with this. Unfortunately, I was ultimately disappointed. The service was disjointed - we sat for a good ten-fifteen minutes until a manager came by to take our drink order, apologizing profusely. We seemed to have two different servers, and they were not communicating very well (asking if we had drinks, if I needed a box, after someone else had already done it) and while it's not a big deal to me, for a restaurant of this caliber I kind of expect service to be top-notch and it just... wasn't. Neither of us actually had the steak - I had salmon and my friend had crab cakes - and while the food was decent, it was absolutely not worth the price tag. The salmon was fresh and well-cooked but very simple, served only on a bed of bland spinach, and the crab cakes had no side at all. For the price I expected more. Luckily, my dirty martini was wonderfully stiff and the wine pours were generous (not to mention the extensive wine list itself). Ultimately, though, I felt bad for my friend - while the experience was by no means terrible, we could have gone to any number of restaurants and paid less for more interesting fare. Stick to happy hour!

If you're a steak fiend like I am, then you can't not like Ruth's Chris. The steak is served sizzling hot, exactly like you ordered. I want my steak to walk, extremely rare, and they can handle it. The creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin are so delectable! Definitely large portions, as I had enough food for the next two days! Service is excellent. I had to take one star off because of the price. It's a special occasion restaurant, because the cost of $40-50 for the steak alone can't be done everyday.

I ate here pretty recently , and I will start with saying that my boyfriend and I were coming from a Sounders game, so we were dressed very casual. We were not the only ones to notice this, the hostess automatically assumed we were coming in for happy hour and immediately just pointed us to the bar. What if we did want to eat normal dinner, would she not have seated us because we were in athletic gear? We shrugged and walked right over, not giving it a 2nd thought. I hate coming into restaurants and feeling like I do not belong there, especially a CHAIN restaurant. Once we were at the bar, we saw the way she greeted other "nicely dressed" people and we knew it was because of that. Get over yourself hostess! At the bar, the server definitely made up for the hostess, he was wonderful. The happy hour drinks had a good variety, house wine, draft beers and mixed cocktails that come in an array of flavors. I was a little disappointed at the selection of food on the happy hour menu, but definitely was not when the food came out. We ended up getting the bar b q shrimp, prime rib sliders and the tuna. All three were delicious and they hit the spot. The sliders were melt in your mouth and the shrimp was yummy. The tuna was great, it came with a pickled salad that created the perfect bite! We might go in for a normal dinner, of course in better attire next time.

Came in at 500 for happy hour because the food was supposed to be amazing... it wasn't. Service was slow, the sliders were greasy, stringy and plain (no cheese) and the drinks were weak. Will not go back, will not recommend this experience to anyone.

Love this place. I came here for my twenty first birthday, and just recently went back the other day. The food is amazing. Hands down. I love the filet and lobster combo and their crab stuffed mushshrooms are delicious. The decor is just, the lighting is just right to put you in a very relaxed mood and ready for a romantic dinner. I love their Moscow Mule and the Blueberry Mojito. Probably the best mojito I have ever had! I always look forward to going here, oh and their happy hour? The best. Also very nice to have valet parking right next door so you don't have to roam the streets searching for a spot. If you a canivore like me, you will be craving this place once you get a taste!

I used to love this place. It wasn't the top end place for steak (try Morton's or Daniel's Broiler for that), but it was close. Unfortunately it's not what it once was. They seem to be taking the "applebees" approach of applying a bit of polish on mediocre food and worse service. I went here for happy hour and sat for close to 15 minutes before getting service. When our waitress arrived we ordered a martini and a margarita to drink and their "prime rib" sliders. About 10 minutes later another waiter delivered our drinks, then our food came a few minutes later via a third waiter. The drinks were as weak as I've ever had, and I've had better prime rib at Arby's. We bailed quickly, paid our $20 tab, and decided we could get juice and a tiny roast beef sandwich elsewhere and vowed never to return.

Ruth's Chris is a big place with lots of guests from the Grand Hyatt, being located in the hotel building. It manages not to feel too "hotel-like" with the walk in corner location which is a plus IMO. . I visit for two very different experiences. #1- About once a year for the yummy, sizzling in pure butter, perfectly cooked filet mignon. Amazing! Tasty side dishes too. 2- The more frequent visits are when I go for the happy hour. They serve up super tasty, super cheap and (arguably) best bar food around. (All for around $5/selection with generous portions!). My personal favs are the "Seared Ahi Tuna" and the "Prime Rib Sliders", not necessarily in that order. (Ask for horseradish if you like vs. creamy horseradish sauce served with (a little heavy for me lol). I almost guarantee, the first time is like another big "first time". You couldn't have possibly prepared yourself for the experience. Unlike the other "first time" experience however, the sliders provide you something that is universally ultra positive! (They also have Kobe beef alternative, which are less fatty i.e. juicy. .) "Flatbread Pizza" is also tasty but a tough choice for me as I prefer to fill up on the first two. My friends like the shrimp scampi (redundant?). I am not a fan regardless of where I am. AND, Happy Hour is 2x/day with early from 4-6 (never seem to make that one) but then again from a more respectable 10pm-12!! Did I mention the drinks are also cheaper-and very generously poured too? What more could you want! You and your friend get nicely buzzed and fed mouth watering food for around $40-50 w/tip. (And that is really buzzed and really stuffed). Seriously-Its like two different worlds and both I love (one is way cheaper BTW :-).

Excellent Service. Happy hour was so darn good. I don't even normally order prime rib but the prime rib sliders were delicious. We went again (twice in one week) and had lunch.... I ordered the burger and my boyfriend ordered the steak sandwich. Both were cooked perfectly and what a fabulous lunch.. 5 stars Ruth's Chris!

so we just ate here for happy hour and the prime rib sliders were good the seared ahi tuna is not as amazing as everyone raves flatbread pizza was good, and bbq shrimp was ok, my martini could have been colder all in all happy hour is meh but dinner is awesome and 5 starz

Ate here last night. Happy hour food is now 9pm to 11pm. Cesar salad and shrimp is awesome. Right inside the Grand Hyatt building, this place is dark lit and very comfortable. Seating is nice, choose to sit at one of the cocktail tables or on the couch with friends. Great place for a quick get together.

I was pretty excited to try out another decently rated steak house in Seattle, especially one so close to the Paramount-good for a pre-concert/show meal...but unfortunately this place rated more of an "O.K." from me. Maybe it's because places like the Metropolitan Grill have set the high standard for me, I don't know. Ruth's Chris Steak House in a nutshell? (Then I'll give y'all the break down)...Metropolitan Grill prices, Hell's Kitchen atmosphere, Buzz-in Steak House quality steaks. Now, let me qualify my remarks: Customer service was good, not overly friendly but almost robotic in nature. They were efficient and seemingly on top of things despite customer to server ratio. They took us sans reservations which was nice, but overall feel was kinda cold and yuppy. Maybe that's because you have to dress a certain way...I was in a flannel and vest, I'm going to a comedy show so I wasn't all dressed up...but that's just my theory, which, I admit, hasn't been substantiated. The prices were up there, no where near, say Canlis or anything, but for the area and the atmosphere it's what you'd expect. The steak prices were comparible to the Met, but not the selection...for a place that boasts the word "Steak" in their name the selection of steaks was surprisingly small. To top it off, if you order a steak, in my case I ordered the rib-eye ($41.00), that's all you get. No side, no veg, not even a garnish. So we ordered a tatter dish on the side-au Gratin. The wife ordered crab cakes...can't remember the prices, but rather than dungeness, it was blue crab...you'd think, by the price and because this is, afterall, the PNW it'd be dungeness crab, but it was blue...and it tasted kinda funny....and they weren't cakes, more like balls. The atmosphere and look really did remind me of the restaurant that I saw on Hell's Kitchen, even the set up of the kitchen and plating/serving station. I was even half-ass expecting to hear some poor chef being berated by Chef Ramsey in the back for sweating in the risotto. Now, about the steak, since this is, afterall a "Steak" house...the plus, the steak tasted pretty good, but here's the rub, to me, a good steak has to be at least 1.5 inches thick...at least! This $41.00 dollar rib-eye was very thin...less than 1.0 inch. Kinda like the steaks that you would get at the Buzz-in, Denny's or Shari's or something. Though it tasted good, because of the thickness, cooking something Med. Rare is pretty damn near difficult...and since they serve it on a 500 degree plate it keeps on cooking...so what I got was a more Med. well...again, didn't taste too bad and that's all about the meat quality at that point, but getting a nice, thick, juicy and slighly bloody steak is something else. I only used the Buzz-in because I ate there a couple of weeks back and ordered a steak there for 1/2 the price of what I got at Ruth's Chris and though it wasn't a good cut like a rib-eye, it was decent in taste, flavor and the presentation was way better...and all the sides were included in the price. Anyhoo, when their website doesn't advertise the prices, that might've been a good clue...I mean even the Met and Canlis does that on their online menus. Would I go there again? Maybe...to try out their "Happy Hour", but for a nice dinner? Probably not, there are better places for that.

I'm a steakhouse snob. There I admitted it. I'd like to give this place 3.5 stars, but Yelp's not hip to the half star ratings yet. so I'll up it to a 4. :) So we've been to Ruth's Chris Bellevue before...nothing to rave about. Came to this location last night and glad we did. Much better than Bellevue. The server was great, the food awesome (except for the chocolate cake, which I renamed "Yuck Cake") and we left full and happy. I had the 6oz filet with shrimp with garlic green beans, he the stuffed chicken breast with creamed spinach, and both had the crab and corn chowder starter and the dessert duo of chocolate cake and berries 'n' cream. I ordered my steak with no butter on the plate. If you've never been to Ruth's Chris, they serve your steaks on a 500 degree plate that has a pool of butter. This time I opted to not have the butter and was quite pleased. The reason it doesn't get 4 or 5 stars? -No doorman. We're dropping over a $100 for a dinner for two and you don't have a doorman? Perhaps we've been spoiled by El Gaucho and the Met. -Hostess was nowhere to be found when we came in. Another party and we stood around waiting for a couple minutes before she showed up...meanwhile servers walked right past us not even acknowledging us. -Yuck Cake. The "chocolate" cake didn't taste a bit like chocolate.

this place is good. Everything the chef makes taste pretty good. the only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars is because you have to pay $13 parking per 0-3 hours. I've been to the one in San Francisco and it's easier to find parking and if you do have to pay it doesn't cost that much. We already go there for pricy meal we shouldn't have to pay for a pricy parking too. But overall our server and waiter were really nice and prompt. I don't have anything bad to say about the food or place except the parking.

Yes, I'm a semi-vegetarian, but I went here and got crab cakes while my husband got some steak. We both agreed that everything tasted like butter, even the 'garlic' green beans. My crab cakes were a bit fishy, and very buttery. It was tasty enough, if you don't mind all of your food tasting like all of your other food. The price of the drinks were WAY over what they should have been, as well. Service was good enough, though I preferred my server's helper to my server.

I had the wonderful opportunity to eat here for lunch today. I have never been to a Ruth's Chris at lunch. I ordered their French Tip sandwich. I even got to order it medium rare. Definitely one of the best French Dip sandwiches I have ever ate. Lunch pricing compared to most restaurants and the service was top notch!

From the Vegetarian's POV: I wasn't anticipating a full menu of just prime rib and rare meals of steak since this is a higher-end restaurant chain. Trust me, there are plenty of good veg-friendly sides available. From the inner soft lighting, plushy booths, sunken dining area gives off its fine dining allure. The staff is fantastic and prompt at getting us to our specially reserved booth off in the corner. Which is pretty easy to score apparently. My sides were simple: steamed spinach, broiled tomatoes, creamed spinach (served lukewarm), and creamy stuffed mushrooms. All were delicious but nothing was outstandingly amazing. It was enough to fill up my veggie tummy.

I have to say that I appreciate the BBQ shrimps at Ruth's Chris so much more after trying it at another steakhouse nearby. Their jumbo shrimps, creamy mash, and the sauce is always made to perfection! All the servers were honest and attentive. I would love to come back any day to try more dishes. Everything's fantastic so far!

I was in the mood for steak and beer, and left a happy customer. Our server was a little quiet, but very attentive. When my steak came out it was over cooked, and the waitress could tell I wasn't completely happy with it and offered to send it back. The second time my steak came out it was perfect. I'm not a fan of having to send food back, but it came back perfectly cooked and was at my table within a couple of minutes.

For the price and all the hype, I left feeling dissatisfied. I realize they're known for their steaks, but if I'm paying that price, I'd like the sides to be good as well. I had a surf and turf plate with lobster and a filet. In order to have the steak cooked to their standards, they heat the entire plate to a certain temperature. Maybe that works well for the steak, but it overcooks the lobster. It made it chewy. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was nice for a romantic dinner. It's not a place I will go back to.

So far, this is the best steak house in Seattle for me. I tried El Gaucho, Morton, and Metropolitan Grill so far. Of course, the steak is the most important one. This one is tender and flavorful. I ordered the T-bone and my companions ordered the $40, an $50 three-course special. The wine, Domaine Drouhin 2007 Pinot Noir, was delicious. The sides are excellent. The sweet potato casserole was like a pie without the crust. Mushrooms and herbed squash are excellent too. The chocolate sin cake was really sinful, smooth and melt in the mouth. I will continue to try other places, but so far this is the one for Seattle.

Coming on a Friday night for Happy Hour I was anticipating a wait and a crowd but got neither. Late night Happy Hour is weekly 9-11pm and 9-10pm on Sunday nights. I like that it starts at 9, a little earlier than most. We were seated promptly and everyone was very nice and accommodating. A greeter even walked me to the stairs to go to the restroom even though we were only sitting in the bar, not the dining room. Prime Rib Sliders, Ahi Tuna perfectly seared, margherita pizza, and prawns with a creamy tomato base sauce were all excellent. For $5 each, the appetizers were a steal. I love the prime rib sliders! Juicy and just right dipped in the horseradish. Five appetizers left us full and satisfied and we were HUNGRY before! Dipping the garlic bread in the delectable sauce that came with the prawns was very tasty. The margaritas were a nice complement to the meal at only $4 each. We were pleased with every part of the experience. A great place to go before or after a movie at Pacific Place!

I have to buck the trend here - This was not as good as the other Ruth's Chris experience I have had. That's not to say this wasn't still very good, but I'm just saying. I started with French onion soup, which was good. Nice and savory with very good cheese baked on top. The bread in it wasn't really adding much - it wasn't particularly flavorful, and kind of just got soggy. But the soup was, as I said, good. As for the requisite steak, I dropped the ball and forgot to order it au poivre, which might have made the difference. But the steak was just a bit off. It tends to cook itself on their mega hot plate, so might have been past medium rare by the time I got about halfway through it. Plus, the beef, while nice and flavorful, might have been a little tough for fillet. At least, tougher than recent ones I have eaten at other steakhouses, and tougher than my previous Ruth's Chris experience. Our side, asparagus with hollandaise was fine - but the asparagus was a tiny bit overdone for my taste, and I could have used more lemon in the hollandaise (which, I know, is technically incorrect). Finally, dessert. We kind of had to, just cuz. I ordered break pudding, my friend ordered cheesecake, and they immediately began reinforcing the floor to support the load of food they were about to bring out. Both desserts were literally, like, personal pan pizza sized. I don't need that much bread pudding in one sitting. It was good, but very standard. A little inventiveness would have been nice, maybe some more unique ingredients to make it stand out. I will forever hold Cardwell's at the Plaza's pistachio apricot bread pudding up as the zenith of the bread pudding world. And the cheesecake was just...man, it was a lot of cheesecake. So would I go back? Maybe not to this one. It wasn't bad, just not as good as my last Ruth's Chris experience. I might try something else, since this gets pricey in a hurry if it's not a spectacular meal. I would certainly go back to other Ruth's Chrises, though.

Steaks are excellent, but pricey. This is one of those places you have on your bucket list to eat at. Everything is delicious. Is it the best steak? No, but it's close.

I was in Seattle for a work training course and stayed at the Grand Hyatt, which houses this restaurant. The HH here is amazing and a perfect place to grab a light bite late at night. I ordered the seared Ahi tuna and prime rib sliders - both awesome and only $5. The night afterward, I decided to come here for dinner. I had the ribeye steak with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. It came with salad and an awesome dessert afterward. If you go here, come hungry, because I could barely touch my spinach and potatoes. The steak (medium rare) - very soft, well seasoned, and had a nice crust - was so good that I inhaled it, even if I wasn't THAT hungry. I do have to say that the potatoes and spinach were very rich and a little too much for me to handle. The berries and cream were the perfect ending to a very gluttonous meal. All in all, an A+ experience with the great (but not "wow") food, service and ambience -- enjoying a meal while viewing downtown Seattle, what more could you ask for?

A secret for it's exceptional happy-hour... The only problem is that it's too formal of a setting if you're looking to share a loud laugh with a friend while sipping cocktails. GREAT SLIDERS, AND CAESAR SALAD (cheap on the happy hour menu)

Wow, such a disappointment this time around. My husband and I came here for lunch on a Monday and had bad service. You'd think that if we were the servers ONLY table she might want to get a good tip but I guess not. My burger was actually really good but the long black hair in my salad was less than appetizing.

Food is always good at this location. Service is inconsistent. I've now been for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It appears that breakfast and lunch shifts are staffed by 1 server, 1 buses and 1-2 line cooks only, making for VERY slow service (think 2.5 hours for breakfast for 7 people when we all ordered granola/yogurt, bagel & lox or eggs Benedict--2.5 hours for a 3 course meal is fine, but that long for a 1 course, barely cooked breakfast with not alcoholic beverages??). Dinner service, on the other hand, was very attentive and quick. Food uniformly tasty. Recommend the NY strip, french onion soup, the ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna appetizer.

This is a wonderful establishment to eat at and is one of the Puget Sounds premier Steakhouses. Located at the Grand Hyatt, the experience leaves nothing left to be desired. It is expensive but in comparison to it's local competition, the prices are in line. My wife and I will keep coming back. They have our business!

Be ready to pay for the experience, with that being said we had a wonderful evening. After a loong day of traveling my boyfriend and I had an incredible dinner, the porterhouse for two, creamed spinach, and potatoes au grautin. Yumm! Topped off with a beautiful bottle of red wine. We spent arount $220 with tip and were extremely satisfied and he cannot stop raving about what an amazing dinner it was!

Quite possibly the best steak I have ever eaten in my life, no question there. Yes, they use good quality beef, and yes they know how to cook a steak well, but another huge part of the reason it tastes so great is because it is slathered with and cooked in a ton of butter. It is great though, and I have no complaints about my steak. Thanks to another reviewer, I went for the "Ruth's Classic" dinner. It really is the only way you can get out of there for less than $200 for 2 people. The steak was amazing, but aside from that, I wasn't wowed by anything else. It was all good, but not to the caliber I'd expect for the amount you're paying. I got the mashed potatoes for my side, and they were pretty much just generic mashed potatoes with another ton of butter slopped on them. No real seasoning or herbs, nothing special, just potatoes and butter. The butter works well for the steak, but it can't be your only go to for everything else on the menu. The service was good, nothing special, but certainly attentive and polite. Overall, it was a good experience, but I can think of lots of other places I'd rather eat, especially when you consider you'll end up paying more than double (in many cases 3 times as much) as somewhere else. Go for the steak, but don't expect the rest of the meal to be anywhere near as high quality.

The seared ahi was fabulous. That's all I can remark on. Service was fine, non-intrusive. Happy Hour is definitely the time to come. Plenty of other reviews to remark on the food, of which I have no firsthand knowledge. Thanks for listening...

My first thought? Who knew Ruth's Chris Steakhouse served breakfast? Apparently the one at the Grand Hyatt does, as the GF and I found out during our stay. We were hungry for some breakfast and we wanted something convenient to where we were staying. Just off of the main lobby and check-in desk, the Ruth's Chris offers a full breakfast menu. I ordered coffee, OJ, and an omelet. The coffee was hot, strong, and fresh. The OJ was fresh-squeezed and quite good. The omelet was fluffy and stuffed with meat and veggies. Service was good keeping the coffee mug topped off and the water glass full. It wasn't the cheapest breakfast like grabbing an Egg McMuffin at Mickey D's, but it was very satisfying and a nice surprise. Ruth's Chris' breakfast was definitely worth the time, money, and effort.

I've eatten at this Ruth Chris before & it was better then. Ordered the petite filet mignon med well, and it was cooked well, no pink at all :( the brussel sprouts were good. My parents porter house was good for them. Staff was fine, but think I'll go back to the Metropolitan next time I want steak & want to spend this much money on it.

Fan of the grand Hyatt here, and as a result the derivative attachment: Ruth Chris. The bar setting is much more refined and elegant than the one in Bellevue, and the happy hour has much more of a drink choice than Bellevue. You go to this Ruth Chris to pre-game or wind down. The place has a purpose, unlike the Bellevue one that is trying to do what other restaurants in Bellevue do much better. You cannot go wrong with this spot in downtown, especially after coming from the Paramount such as after a Snoop concert, Billy Elliot show, or Chelsea Handler mess. Go to here for hh food is the prime sliders or the flatbread.

Lemon drops here are GREAT! I figured I couldn't give the entire restaurant 5 stars based only on the lemon drop ;) - but I don't really eat much beef, so I likely won't have much to contribute about the food other than the cocktails. So we had my company's 'Holiday Party' (BIg coMpany all 'PC' style) here at the downtown restaurant in the Wine Cellar area. I'm not sure if they make the drinks like this in the regular bar - but the ones they made down there were so smooth - perfect amount of sweet, they muddled real lemons, and shook them perfectly (where there are shards of ice on top mixed with the lemon pulp). AND the sugar rim didn't seep down the glass and get your hand all sticky! That is annoying.... I am a high maintenance lemon drop drinker, so they got it right on all points! It turns out when I went up to order one that they used Grey Goose as the house vodka - yum - maybe that's why they were so smooth. Not sure if that was just for our party or not, but I have never seen that being poured without a request and a premium price. After using the two free drink tickets (those went faster than I realized), I was surprised to learn that they were only $9 - which is what a mediocre / from frozen juice concentrate lemon drop with average vodka goes for around here! Thank goodness my boyfriend and I got out of there before doing anything embarrassing around my coworkers - (they seem deceivingly innocuous going down - so be careful - it's easy to have one too many! ;)

It's hard to get 4 stars from me. It's damn near impossible to get 5 stars from me. I state this because there sincerely wasn't too much wrong here at Ruth's Chris. The service was excellent, even if they seemed non-plussed by a street kid ordering their most expensive meal. But I have to give that monster a shot and I'm glad I did.......except I wish people didn't cook their steaks so SALTY!!!! It's a problem I've noticed around town, and I wish someone from either Canlis or Barolo would give a steak workshop to all aspiring chefs in town. But I got my steak the way I ordered it, I was in-and-out in under a half-hour and the waitstaff doesn't generally get much better than this.

Came here with my buds after 9pm on Saturday for Happy Hour. $3.95 Well Drinks/A few Selective Others - Lemon Drop: I ordered this and it tastes JUST like lemonade, but ooo...it hit the spot! - Apple-Tini: Too sweet..but...well..I'm not a fan of apple-tini's anyway. - Cosmo: Dang! Really good! I don't normally like cosmo's...but this one was a lil' sweeter than the usual, so it was great. $4.95 - Seared Ahi Tuna with Spicy Mustard: Ahhhhh. Get it! Get it! Get it! Super fresh, lots of slices (8-10ish?), perfected and encrusted with savory peppercorn of some sort. - Prime Rib Sliders: 2 little mini' burgers. The meat itself was slightly bland and not as melt in your mouth as most prime ribs should be, and the bun totally didn't taste fresh. So, you need to take the horseradish and pesto and layer it on to make it delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Place is really swanky, but you don't really have to dress up really fancy in the happy hour area. Price came out to be about $10 each per person. Pretty sweet for food + booze I'd say! Overall Highlights: - Ahi Tuna - Lemon Drop - Half off Happy Hour! - Swanky overall - Nice bathrooms Down-sides: - Very small selection of foods/drinks to chose from. - Happy Hour area isn't as swanky/pretty as the main dining area so you can definitely feel alienated and like a cheapo just for eating cheaper. =P. Lol. Anyway. It's allriighhhhtt!

Had a perfect night here with the husband back in November and when discussing our recent dining experiences felt I owed this place a top notch review! The ambience of the restaurant is lovely and the service was perfect all night long! We ordered simple steaks and fries, the steaks were cooked exactly as we like them (medium rare) and all the food was absolutely delicious! The wine selection was great and our server was very knowledgable in helping us choose a bottle. I wish every dining experience could be this faultless!

Ruth's Chris is my guilty pleasure! Boyfriend and I always come here for their ruth classic meal deal - $45-55 for a salad, side dish, entree (we always get the ribeye), and dessert. Such a good deal! I love the way their steak tastes - simple, buttery, and delicious. It's not cooked in a super fancy way but offers great basic flavors that is comforting and fulfilling. An unexpected treasure at Ruth's Chris is also their salads. Their caesar salad is beyond excellent and I've also enjoyed their arugula salad as well. Definitely worth visiting when you're in the mood for steak but not willing to shell out $80-100 for a full meal :)

This place turned me into a steak eater. Not one bite of steak in like 10 years.... one bite of their filet and I was sold. Soooooo good. The only thing almost better is their potatoes au gratin. I am a major carbaholic and I actually dream about those things... often. Everything from the starter salad, to the happy hour pizza, to the dessert is amazing. Also, the service is incredible. We have eaten at the bar and in the dining room and it's great either way. I think for the experience and the food - this place is worth the money.

My review is limited to Ruth's Chris's happy hour, since that's all I've ever had there. I've had happy hour at this Seattle location only once, because I found the menu to be quite different from that of the Bellevue location. Unfortunately in this case, different but worse. The menu at this location is missing some of the better ones, while adding other items that just aren't quite as good. It's still worth going to since they do have some decent food and drink specials, but I definitely prefer the Bellevue location.

I have never had such a terrible filet mignon, it was like a piece of cork and it cost me $40!!! The ambiance was old, as were the majority of people sitting at the tables. Terrible experience. The service, however, was impeccable.

My husband and I had dinner there on Christmas day and had such a wonderful experience. Our servers name was Steven. The wine list was a tad overwhelming so we gave him a description of what we were looking for and he brought us a delicious red. The food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Will come back!

I gave it 2 stars because I do like their 50/person 3 course meal. That's a pretty good value. Typically, I go to the Bellevue Ruth Chris but since we were staying at the Hyatt DT we went here. For our party of 4 who wanted to get many drinks....our server neglected us the WHOLE night! As a matter of fact Simon was on his phone in the corner or at the front of the restaurant....doing who knows what. We had to ask the bus guy to refill our water. And our alcohol never got to the level we liked. (We only had 2 each) on a typical night out for us we usually have 4 drinks or more! Our cups would sit empty and Simon never asked if we wanted another one. Then we asked our bus guy to give us some red wine. He didn't know what kind so he called over Simon. This happened the whole night. Our food came, Simon never checked on it. Our dessert took another 45 minutes and we were debating to even wait or not. The bill another 20 minutes. Our bill came out to just over $300 and I really didn't want to tip him anything but we still left him 10% because the bus boys were good and din't want to stiff them. When you go to a place like Ruth you expect top notch service. There were maybe 5 other tables going in the whole place on a weeknight so it def was not busy! Disappointed

I'm a big fan of Ruth's Chris so I had to try this location out. I was on business and met my client there, the salad was average, I mean how can you screw up a salad right? I had the double cut filet which was cooked to perfection! We ordered spinach and garlic mashed potatos for our sides which were perfect as usual.. Our waitstaff was friendly and attentive, our glasses were never empty! I would highly recommend this location!!!!

As far as the food goes, it's 5 stars. Having said that.... My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary, and we informed the restaurant that we were celebrating when we made our reservation. We had hoped for an intimate table, instead we were placed in what felt like the middle of the restaurant next to a family having dinner. Had the restaurant been full, I would have let this slide, but it was not full, and we were early to our reservation, and the restaurant was still not full when we finished our meal. But, I guess since they sprinkled "Happy Anniversary" confetti on the table we were supposed to be appeased. The Ahi Tuna was delicious, the chop salad was not, it was drowning in dressing and tasted more like KFC coleslaw. Around the time we were finishing our appetizer, the fire alarm when off. The alarm continued to signal for the remainder of the meal. We might as well have been at home having dinner with our young children. No one, not even our waiter, came to the table to apologize or make any comment whatsoever about the alarm going off, we just heard someone shout "don't worry, the kitchen is not on fire." It was annoying and I had a headache by the time we left dinner. Even though the ambiance was terrible, the steaks were top notch, my husband says it was close to the best steak he's ever had (we both had ribeyes, delish). The Pecan Crusted Sweet Potato Casserole was divine. After reading all the terrific reviews from patrons who had wonderful and attentive waiters, I was left disappointed with the overall visit.

Ok, I rarely write that I am a fan of a chain restaurant, but Ruth's Chris is definitely an exception to the rule. I have always found their food consistent no matter where I have gone and it is definitely nothing to sneer at. This particular location in the Elliot Grand Hyatt Seattle is really quite nice. The location features really nice ambiance and great service. I've come to this particular location on several occasions and I absolutely love it for happy hour! The service has always been first rate and the wait staff definitely knows their menu. The waiters I have had also really know the wine list (although, I have heard reports contradicting this from friends). The food is definitely first rate, however still below Metropolitan Grill and from what I hear El Gaucho. All in all, a very good experience and if you are in the mood for meat, a place to check out!

Went to this Chris's for a birthday celebration and walked out disappointed. I've eaten at the original Ruth's Chris, (gone due to Hurricane Katrina), and locations spanning DC to Hawaii. The Seattle location is my least favorite. We had incredibly slow, screwed-up service, the food was over-cooked and I felt like I was at an expensive Outback. That was my last trip to Ruth's Chris in Seattle. Maybe, someday it improves, but Capital Grille, The Met and Daniel's all offer better ambiance, great service and consistent food.

I had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House on 3/23/2013 with my boyfriend, my sister and her man. We were celebrating a birthday and a promotion. It was my first time at Ruth's Chris and I cannot wait to go back. Our Waiter Ed and his back up David were outstanding as was the rest of the staff. The food was fantastic and the service was stellar. My go to for a fancy steak dinner was the Met but it is now Ruth's Chris. I look forward to the next time I am able to have another wonderful and memorable meal with the people I love at such a special place. Thank you Ruth's Chris!!

This branch of Ruth's truly does not live up to expectations. We dined there as our final meal in Seattle before heading to the airport - and wished we'd waited to eat at SeaTac rather than at this chain attached to the Grand Hyatt Hotel. My New York steak was ordered rare to medium-rare, but it came out flavorless and over-cooked to the point of being dry and grey in the center. Service was quite slow and very unprofessional, almost flippant. As for ambiance? Hip-hop tunes and music by Adele may have their place -- but that place is definitely NOT in an expensive steakhouse that promotes itself as being upscale. Skip this restaurant, dear readers, and save yourself from a very sorry experience.

Ruth's Chris STEAK HOUSE. The SERVICE given, at the PRICE charged, they have no where to go but up. We (myself and two childen under seven) had reservations at 1930 Hrs and they were eagerly awaiting STEAK all day long. We arrived late at 1944 Hrs. (I was happy to see a lot of empty tables.) Within a few minutes the hostess was able to accommodate and seat us. The children were each given a limited, single page, Kid's Menu. Matt (busboy &/or server assistant) arrived to pour water. I advised him, prior to pouring the childrens', about 1/3 to 1/2 glass is bessed; in case of accidental spillage. He complied with the 1st one fine. The 2nd child's glass was filled nearly to the top when I said it was enough. I asked him if any Booster Seats were available. He stated he did'nt know but would check around for one. He returned later with a High Chair. (From his statements, it became readily apparent that he did not know there was a difference between the two items.) Cassidy, our waitress who was identified by her name tag only, came to take our drink orders of a child's chocolate milk and apple juice, along with an adult coca-cola (no ice, with a lemon). I also showed her and asked about the 10% discount coupon displayed on my iPhone for checking into YELP!! She stated she liked Yelp also and all she had to do was see it for the discount. She departed and soon returned with highball type glasses with the children's drinks, fairly full and with protruding straws. I noticed my cola had no ice and no lemon. I asked if they had lids of children's cups for my youngest and was told no. Cassidy continued politely, stating she could go seek something out but my meal order would be delayed. Obviously I had her seek something out. She returned with small paper sauce container type cups with 'X's cut in the center of the lid. Ingenuity. The menus. Okay, I admit I am perplexed and still shaking my head. Here is why... I was surprise to notice, being this is a "steak" restaurant, all but one of the appetizer's were of seafood. The children's menu: (For the steak option) A four (4) ounce filet, either fries or mashed potatoes (with garlic but not listed), a juice, milk or soda, and a scoop of either vanilla or chocolate ice cream. All for $13.95. Yet on the adult's menu an eight (8) ounce 'Petit' filet is $34. I asked how much an extra child filet would be for my sprouting daughter. I was informed they don't do that and would have to order the steak from the adult menu. Cassidy then asked if it was something about the price. I showed her the menu and explained I could buy two full children's meal, same amount of meat, for about a $7 savings. I ended up ordering three children's 4 oz steak meals for my two children and the 11 oz Filet for me. I was told they were out of the larger filet's; as someone had forgot to order them. Yes, a steak house was out of one of their advertised signature steaks. So, I went with the 'Petite Filet.' All steaks ordered "MEDIUM." My children are not big fans on Medium-Well or more. (OMG, am I creating steak snobs?) Our meals were brought. I noticed two 4 oz filet's were on my daughter's plate. (I also later noticed I was charged the full price from the children's menu for the extra steak.) Along with fries. The steaks were cooked to perfection. My daughter cut into her steak to check it and summed it up best by stating, "Red in the middle. Blood on the plate. It's perfect Daddy." We all agreed it did taste great. I asked Busboy/Assistant Matt for some bbq sauce, for my son to dip his fries in; no, not for the steak, blasphemy. He responded with, "I will inform your server of that." Awhile passed and our waitress showed up without any sauce. I asked her for the sauce, which she retrieved some. As well, prior to refilling the children's drinks she looked at me for confirmation it was okay. Kuddos. She was not as readily available, nor seen as much, from this point on. So if something was needed, i.e. my drink. When dessert was ready to order I requested a cheesecake to go, for me but the children will have their ice cream scoops. The desserts and bill were delivered. The bill showed no discount. I placed my card in the bill folder and off it went to support some unknown 3rd world county. Upon returning I confirmed the discount had not been given. I paid the full bill, gathered up my children and cheesecake and began prepping to depart. I asked Cassidy if the discount had been given and I just didn't see it. She apologized and said it was not. SHe offered to change the bill as it would only take a couple of minutes. She appeared authentic. I had informed Cassidy we were staying the night at the Hyatt Hotel, to which it is attached, earlier in the evening. I did not think much of this until later when up in our hotel room I opened the 'to-go' container of cheesecake. NO UTENSILS. We've had better! At cheaper restaurants.

I've been here twice before, a couple times a couple of years ago, and was so impressed I wanted to come back! I've been here for the blueberry Belgian waffles, and their amazing corned beef hash, but by the time I got there this morning, they were out of the corned beef so, I settled for french toast. It wasn't as good as I remembered, but I'd go back just to have the corned beef hash again. Also, very affordable, and nice staff.

I think the food happy hour selection is better at Bellevue, but still really nice happy hour drinks and food. Prime rib sliders very good.

In June we were staying in Seattle before embarking on our Alaskan Cruise & thought we'd celebrate. I've never been treated so shoddy by a hostess! She was very rude, making us wait, laughing with the other hostess, we felt very unwelcome, then she seemed very put upon to seat us and wouldn't ya know-in the worst possible table location even though there were only a couple other patrons dining at that early dinner time. I requested to be seated in one of the booths for two but she snidely said no, those were 'reserved'. During our meal we did not see anyone seated at those booths. I wrote a letter to Ruth Chris Corp and did receive an obligatory recorded message from the manager of this Seattle Ruth Chris. If you're an elderly tourist-AVOID this restaurant!! There's much better with warm, friendly staff within walking distance!

I enjoyed the food but because of the experience I had I won't be going back. Ruth Chris validated my parking in valet for 3 hours. My total time I was parked there was 3 hours and 25 minutes but because I went over the time the valet charged me for 4 hours. It would only make sense to charge me for the hour I went over but unfortunately for me they want to take more of my money. I didn't have to eat at Ruth Chris tonight but I did because of the convenience. I went in to Ruth Chris and they did not want to do anything to help me out. Too bad for them because I won't be going back.

Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Ruth Chris is always a great choice. I had the Filet super yummy and Husband had the steak and lobster. Again you can't go wrong with Ruth Chris when it comes to steak. A great way to celebrate our anniversary.

Good Happy Hour!! On the other hand, if you are looking for a great steak, keep looking... For the money, Seattle has many better places for steak. The Metropolitan Grill, Daniel's Broiler, Morton's just to name a few. If you read my other reviews of these restaurants, you will see that I have no problem paying whatever price for food IF the food is worth it. The steaks here simply are not. I know I will get messages saying that I'm crazy, but they will be from the kind of people that think the Azteca is authentic Mexican, and Grey Goose is top-shelf vodka.

Resounding MEH. Service is OK. Food is over salted. EVERYTHING is overpriced. When I am out spending this much on a meal, I expect to get my money's worth. I felt ripped off. 3rd strike, back to El Gaucho where they KNOW how to do it up.

*Based mainly on the T-Bone Steak. ($45) One word. Amazing. I'm a guy so there's nothing more that needs to be said, but I'll say it again - The T-Bone Steak was amazing! Service was great. Went for our anniversary and they set us up on a special table set aside from everyone so it felt very private. Overall great experience. Going there again this Friday to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. Coincidentally, it's her favorite steakhouse.

Went here for an 8 year old's birthday dinner. The hostess had taken the time to decorate our table for his birthday. Dinner and dessert were absolute perfection. Thanks for another great dining experience Ruth Chris!

This review is for the Bar only. We've eaten at the restaurant plenty of times before and it's good- as you would expect. We chilled at the bar before the Bourdain/Batali thing at the Paramount and Frank and Rachel took care of us. Both are awesome bartenders and Frank especially did a great job taking care of us. He mixes an awesome Hendricks martini. Rachel was super friendly and gave us some great advice on the HH menu- which is great. Had Kobe Sliders & Seared Tuna- both 5 bucks each and very tasty. We'll be back for the happy hour and the bar alone. They've got some great bartenders and the HH food can't be beaten. It's a super good deal.

Came here for Thanksgiving dinner and shared their set menu with another person in the group of 12. We were seated on the lower floor. This place is huge with several dining levels and a very posh bar/cocktail area on the street level. Expect to pay 50 bucks for your meal when all is said and done. $$$ is about right...you pay for the ambience which is great...but on to the food itself..... Here was the special menu at 35.95 (adult) 12.95 (children)...so sharing I paid 18.00 before tax/tip etc. STARTERS (choice of): Seafood Gumbo Soup ~ Caesar Salad ~ Steak House Salad ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had the Gumbo which was wonderful. Correct temperature and moderately spiced not too salty. I regretted sharing since I could have done with a full serving. MAIN COURSE: Slow-roasted sliced Turkey Breast served with homemade gravy, Ruth's sausage and herb stuffing and from-scratch cranberry relish ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Unfortunately this was the weakest part of the meal. The turkey was the best part of this and was tender and tasty though not warm enough. The stuffing was just very average and perhaps come celery would have perked it up for consistency. Again, temperature not hot. If sausage was used, there was very little of it but then my portion was shared. The cranberry relish was quite forgettable and lacked the tangy distinct flavour expected of cranberries. The gravy was very bland and the worst part of the entire meal. For this I was happy to share. I don't think I would have enjoyed the full serving. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SIDES (choice of): Garlic Mashed Potatoes ~ Brown sugar topped Sweet Potato Casserole ~ Green Beans with Roasted Garlic ~ Creamed Spinach I opted for the creamed spinach which was very tasty and of good consistency. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DESSERT: A Duo of Pumpkin Cheesecake and Vanilla Ice Cream Quite good though I am not a great lover of ice cream anyway. Could have been chilled more. Others at the table had some chocolate cake not on this menu. What's with Seattle and the temperature of food served? I have noticed since moving here 5 months ago more than a few places just can't get it right. OK...on to the service. Being a budget group none of us save one person had wine so the service consisted largely of refilling our waters which was done flawlessly and unobtrusively. The best service is when things get done without having to ask anticipating and reading the needs of patrons. The timing of serving the starter, main, and dessert was perfect too. But in real time the service was quite slow because the restaurant was quite busy. But in our mindset being a social occasion/holiday we didn't seem to notice time. This is not the sort of restaurant you come to for a quick meal and in fact I would venture to say it's the sort of place most would only come to for a very special occasion. I can't imagine there are any regulars here except maybe to the bar? Would I return? Possibly ..but there are so many other great restaurants to try in town it might be a very long time. I would come back to have a special cocktail though. One other note - even though Seattle is dress-down this sort of place makes me feel a bit under dressed even in business casual. If there was a 3.5 stars that's what I would give it. The ambience and service saved it from 2 stars due to the food itself.

I was here with a group for lunch. Ordered fillet (medium) with mashed potatoes on the side. Fillet was completely burnt (as in crackles while cutting, I'm not kidding - due to shortage of time, I ate middle 3rd with some effort). More importantly there was a porcelain looking, bigger than a complete tooth size "foreign item" in mashed potatoes. I unfortunately discovered this after biting into that pretty hard. I managed to break the item into 3 pieces and then some - had to run to restroom to cleanup. I returned the pieces to manager, to which he said "I will show it to our chef" and did nothing else. I'm not going there again. This is my first yelp review and reason I took the effort is I needed to get the word out. Place doesn't meet very basic of expectations.

The entire experience was fantastic-- friendly and attentive waitstaff, warm and fantastic food, and a comfortable dining environment. They even provided my sister and I TWO free desserts (celebrating my sister's recent engagement). Couldn't ask for more in terms of food and waitstaff service. The big ugly blemish on the evening was how the front desk treated us as we tried to validate parking. We mistakenly forgot to pay for it with our check, but upon presenting it to the bewildered hostess, the manager snatched my receipt and parking from my hands and said, "what do you want me to do with this?!" I calmly explained the situation again and just requested our parking validated. He rolled his eyes and left without a word. The manager came back and forced the ticket and receipt towards me and didn't say another word. Hardly how I'd like to be treated after spending $150 on dinner for two. It's a shame, but we will never be visiting the Seattle location again after the rude treatment by a manager.

Ruth's Chris was located in the lobby of our hotel, so on our first night stay, we ordered dessert to go, which seemed ok - although they forgot utensils as well as the ice cream for one dessert. We dined in for appetizers and dessert on the second night of our stay. Big mistake. First, after mentioning we were not too hungry, the hostess was hesitant to seat us in the main dining room (which was far from full). We reluctantly sat in the loud-ish lounge, and took a bit to get greeted by the waiter, who had boozy breath and seemed far too impressed with himself. We asked three times for water, and were only brought one set of utensils for the two of us. The BBQ shrimp was covered in a creamy sauce (no hint of BBQ flavor or grill marks); I had asked for the ahi tuna to be "extra done" - which it was not. The blueberry mojito was yummy but weak, and the lemon drop martini was forgettable. The berries and cream dessert was more cream than berries...not exactly as described on the menu. Overall, Ruth's Chris was disappointing.

The McDonalds of steak houses. Why waste your time on somebody elses dime when you can go to Morton's or Daniels.

This is one of the best steakhouses in Seattle right behind Daniel's and Morton's. They have amazing side dishes and cook a delicious, juicy steak. Give it a try!

So after seeing WAR HORSE at the Paramount, my friend and I decided to try Seattle's Ruth's Chris for HH. I've been to the Bellevue location and I'm unsure of why our experience here was not as good. Still love the sliders but a HH menu with basically 5 items to choose?! We pretty much ordered everything but the shrimp because we wanted to save room for dessert. Sliders were excellent and seemed to be the most popular order. As we enjoyed ours, I saw several tables order the same. The flatbread was good and my ceasar salad was tasty although had more dressing than I prefer. We also ordered the Potatoes au gratin as a side order which was excellent! Over all, we had a good enough experience but hope Ruth's Chris upgrades their HH menu with more quality selections/choices in the immediate future. Prove to Seattle why you should be the number one choice for happy hour or dining after a show at the Paramount!

Hubby & I went there for our Anniversary. The table decorations were a nice touch. We each chose a Ruth's Classic. I had the Lobster Bisque and Filet. The Lobster Bisque was OK, but I wasn't overly impressed. The Filet was excellent and I would return for it. Hubby had the rib eye and swears it was the best of his life. The Desert was rich and adorable. Ryan was our waiter & he was very good.

Had a business breakfast here because my client was staying at the Grand Hyatt. Comically terrible service. Really. Had my client not been so good-humored about it, I would have been embarrassed. The food was fine when it finally came. But it couldn't make up for the abysmal disorganization, cluelessness, and general incompetence of the server (who appeared to be the only one on the floor while we were there). No idea what it's like for dinner, but I can't recommend this place for breakfast.

I made reservations and took my girlfriend here for Valentines Day. I expected to pay around $200 and stayed within budget. This place made me feel like a million dollars! It had a very intimate ambiance to it. The Steak was phenomenal! The side dishes are purchased individually and separately and where also exquisite (we got the broccoli au gratin and cream spinach dip). This is the perfect place to bring your significant other for a special occasion.

First visit and it won't be my last. I don't eat meat, only eat seafood, the vegetarian choices are plentiful. This location was attached to the Grand Hyatt, making it convenient. Valet is available if you drive in. Service was excellent and servings were plentiful. Drinks are strong.

Unfortunately, my dad got to the restaurant and ordered for me. His English isn't the best so though he ordered a ribeye "medium rare" for me, the waitress understood him as saying "medium well." Oops, I noticed this when I received my steak, and it looked WAY overcooked when I cut into it. No problem...the waitress took it back and brought me back another one medium rare in a very short time. And as one of my old friends said, "that's a heavenly piece of meat." The bread, salad, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were kinda average. But the star of the show is definitely the steak.

The Breakfast. I have eaten here every morning for 2 weeks. It's been consistently Excellent in all phases. Evelyn is Professional and makes you feel relaxed at the same time. They open at 6:30 so you can take some time before work for a delicious meal before most places are even open. I know it's in the Grand Hyatt but it really stands on its own.

Since the last time I came here I think the quality has really not been as good as I last remember. I ordered a ribeye hoping to get an awesome marbling of fat with my meat. This is what I would expect from such a top notch steak house. But instead my ribeye was not well marbled and actually quite lean (when usually ribeye should have the highest fat content). Also, disappointingly, my steak was quite over done the first time. I ordered medium rare and it came as almost a medium well. After getting a new steak (which I hate hassling to ask about...it makes me, as the customer, feel so guilty), my steak was really rushed and had a very charred taste to it. On the plus side: my boyfriend ordered a really delicious cowboy ribeye that was done rare-plus. And it was done perfectly! Really brought out the meat flavor without being overly salty or bloody. My cousin ordered the lamb and it was also super delicious, very tender and well cooked. Also, the lobster mac and cheese was really bomb.com Overall, I will return, but likely only for the killer happy hour menu!

Pretty good dinner experience at Ruth's Chris. Never been before as we're not really into steakhouse chains, but had a good meal for the price. We went with the classic dinner option where you get an appetizer, entree, side dish and dessert for $56. We both got salad to start and the 12oz Rib Eye Steak (my date upgraded $4 to get the 16oz). The steak was served on a hot sizzling plate with a compound butter on top. For our sides we got garlic sautéed green beans and mashed potatoes which were good portions. For dessert we had chocolate caramel cheesecake. The steaks were good sizes, flavour full, tender, juicy, cooked well to our request, but the amount of butter they added to the top was overwhelming. It was just too much. Mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth. The beans were also very buttery which added to the overwhelming buttery taste. my date said he felt like he had a meal cooked by Paula Deen LOL The dessert was very sweet but good. So this place is no Peter Lugar or Carne Vino, but for the price of the classic meal, we thought what we got was pretty solid for the price. Service was underwhelming, but attentive when we asked for it. Would go back again, but I'll ask for no extra butter on my steak.

The New Orleans Ruth Chris Steak House left me with a wonderfully favorable impression of the chain. The steak and French Onion soup (no longer on the menu) were exceptional. When it came time for a special ocassion dinner to celebrate our Seattle vacation, we singled out Ruth Chris Steak House. Much the same as any special occasion restaurant, the prices are exorbitant. But as the old saying goes, "You live once." And as another old saying goes, "You get what you pay for." Everything from the dinner bread to the entree was exceptional. The stuffed chicken breast served at the perfect temperature, up to this review is the best that I have ever tasted. The interior and service complimented the exceptional food. The dining room is classy without coming off as pretentious. The tables are spread out which promotes personal space and a lower noise level. The waiter was professional and on the eight ball. The manager even checked on how we were doing. I understand that Ruth Chris has a nice selection of adult beverages, however, I understood that Tap House Grill was nearby. I complimented the food with a Coke and saved the adult beverages for Tap House Grill after the meal. As I finish Review 449, I vote Ruth Chris Steak House as my preferred special occasion steak house. Moreover, I vote Ruth Chris Steak House four stars on Yelp.

Damn. Highly trained and professional staff. I could not get the waiter to stop calling me "sir", it was a pretty fun challenge though. So... it's Ruth's Chris. It's expensive, yes. But you know... there is a reason for that. It's the attention to detail, people in the kitchen who hopefully know what they're doing, it's hopefully quality ingredients. If you're gonna weigh your plate to see if you're getting your money's worth, you probably won't enjoy yourself. Just sayin'

Here's the old tragic tale of a gal who is charged $25 for vegetables. It is a tale told by a vegetable fool, full of sound and fury...signifying nothing. So I'm not furious about it; it's just LAMETH as Shakespeare would say. For $25, I received marinated portobello mushrooms, criminis, asparagus, broccoli and grape tomatoes over a scoop of mashed potatoes. $25. Nothing was saffron-infused, littered with truffle shavings, gold flecks, a hair from North West's head... bummer. As soon as I saw "Market Price" for a vegetable option, I knew I was in for a treat. But the space is nice; it's a far cry from the old Ruth's Chris, that smelled like cigarettes and tears. The service too was nice, but odd. The gentleman that gave us water greeted us twice in the exact same fashion before catching himself lol and our waitperson handed me my Blackberry Sidecar (very good and STRONG) on a tray, leaning over to our table while still standing in another section to hand it to me, and there was debris on the tray with my drink--debris now looking at me eye-level. Very, very odd. Mr. had the potatoes Lyonaise--fried potatoes with onions, and the French Onion soup. Both were good. My vegetables were unexciting and underseasoned. My friend had a $49 steak and lobster portion so small, that I wondered when his actual meal was coming. At least he's prepared for that kind of thing, being a beef eater at a steakhouse. It's okay; it seems like it would be better to order just off the sides menu given how large the portions are. I don't think I'll be back, unless I suddenly become a beef eater who can only eat 3 oz at a time.

I've only been for happy hour, but it sure does make me happy! Usually I pop by with a group from work for a plate of prime rib sliders and a couple of $5 cocktails (they also have beer and wine). Happy hour takes place in the bar/lounge area, which can get busy so we try to get here earlier, no later than 4:30. They have some high chairs and tables and some lower couches with cozy chairs surrounding, and I like this area better than the main restaurant as it's right in the windows and light and bright. The service is usually good, although can be slow/absent at times and the bathroom takes quite a bit of effort to find/reach. As I'm not a huge fan of steak, I probably wouldn't come here for dinner, but for happy hour, it's perfect for me.

  • Dave L.

Ordered the filet and lobster/mac cheese. The filet had little taste, 15% unedible due to sinuous fat and parts tastes like liver. The lobster was borderline fishy, and the mac/cheese was soupy instead of creamy. As to the facilty, the bar still has 19" tube tvs and the ceiling has multiple discolored tiles. This place needs a renewal of both food and interior to justify its high prices.

Boyfriend's birthday coming up, and it has to be amazing - what to plan? I decide on a great steak restaurant, drinks at Paragon, and a late-night view at Kerry Park. Ruth's Chris was the steak place (for my man who loves a good steak), and it really impressed! *I made a reservation for Friday at 7pm. She offered to put us in a booth so we could sit next to each other, and it overlooked the whole restaurant. From this vantage point, it was so cool to watch the black tie servers rush to and fro with the trays overhead! With the wall-to-wall mirrors, dark red/flowery decor, it was pretty romantic. *Loved the option to park right next door at the Grand Hyatt - pull up, give the keys to valet, walk 10 steps to the restaurant. They can add the $10 parking charge to your bill! PERFECT. *Server named Troy was great. Boyfriend kept saying Troy was so cool, he wanted to hang out with him. All right, calm it down, Mr. Bromance. *FOOD: This is truly where the 5 stars comes from. At first I had to get used to the fact that the entrees do not come with sides - salads, potatoes, etc. - but then I realized that's because we're used to going to places like Black Angus and the Ram (haha). Ruth's Chris is fancy baby. And the food is WORTH the separated cost!! We got the Classic deal with salad/soup, entree, side, and dessert for $42.95 each: -Caesar salad - huge and great house-made croutons. -Stuffed chicken - omggg, so juicy and crispy and delicious. Couldn't eat it all. -12oz rib-eye - umm, it almost filled BF's entire plate. He said it was the best-seasoned piece of meat he's ever ordered in a restaurant!! And he's PICKY and knowledgeable on this topic. -Garlic mashed potatoes - #2 best mashed potatoes we've had (after the truffle mashed potatoes at Prime Steakhouse in Vegas). -Creamed spinach - he ate the whole thing; not for me. -We each had a dessert with the deal. But here's the cool thing - Troy offered to box up those two desserts for home, and they'd bring another one on the house for us to share!! How awesome is that!! We chose the Cheesecake. Friends - if you like the crust, look no more!! (See pic) - it's basically a bowl of graham cracker crust with cheesecake inside. *Before paying the bill, I checked in on Yelp - and got 10% off our total! :) All in all, a fabulous evening that made our special occasion feel special-er.

We came here for dinner mostly because it was raining cats and dogs and we were at the Grand Hyatt - so the rain was not a factor. Interesting- this place is open for all 3 meals of the day- makes sense since they are attached to hotel. Overall it was an underwhelming experience. You are paying for ambiance. Service was great. Food was very lackluster in my opinion. I did not have steak but hubby did. The lobster mac and cheese seemed like it was frozen lobster and really crab would be the better option. The crabtini that I had as an app was tasty. We did not drink alcohol as we had drank earlier in the day but the wine selection was expansive. In fact it's rather heavy, we were seated at a 4-top so lots of wine glasses initially and the menu and wine menu was rather overwhelming, I had no where to put them... We won't be back, quite frankly I would rather spend the money on grass fed beef and grill the steak myself. It's a good option in the area for a romantic dinner choice.

being that this is ruths chris. I expected a better ambiance and better service. with that sad, im even reluctant to give 2 stars. I just expect SUPERIOR service. This review is based on our service with "Katie" one of the WORST servers iv ever had in my life, iv been to a 4 or 5 ruths chris and had fantastic service everytime except this time. she comes up to us and just stares at us waiting for us to talk....how about asking how we are? would we like anything? dont give us your b*tch face. wow.... she never smiled at us and was blatantly rude. il never come back here agian unless i get this issue resolved. with that said...this place has a pretty good HH. i posted a picture of the menu. i can tell you that the sliders are the best sliders you will ever get. they honestly were SUPER delicious. it was moist and tender and you dont even need that suace it comes with, you can eat it alone, it comes with two mini burgers and only 6 bucks. its definitely worth it. we had to order a few... 10/10 next up was the bbq shrimp. idk why its called bbq shrimp, was the sauce some sort of bbq sauce? wasnt what you expect when you order bbq shrimp but it was good nonetheless. the sauce was delicious! and the bread!...oh my. i would order those separately!!! this also was 6 bucks 8.5/10 now to the cocktails we got the vodka martini, 5 bucks. SUPER strong , couldnt even finish.... screwdriver...supposed to be 4 bucks but was charged 5. pretty good amount of liqour. fresh orange juice, can taste the pulp and i love that so i give this place 2 stars because you pay extra for the service as well...and when you dont get it, its unacceptable. 2 stars will all you get. theres a reason this is the only ruth chris iv seen under 4 stars. save your money and go elsewhere...or avoid Katie

Such a nice fine dining experience. I haven't been eating steak for quite a long time for health reasons, almost for a year now. I would say that Ruth's satisfied my pallets for what I have been missing out for all these years. I ordered the classic Rib Eye and asked for medium rare. Cooked perfectly, the need was tender, juicy and simply delicious. I would recommend for people to try out their spicy lobster as well.. Such a light delightful entre.

My 13 year old son and I rolled in for dinner at at 9, just in time to sample the Happy Hour menu and order a few appetizers. (Happy Hour sparkling wine for me!) The BBQ shrimp were rich and heavenly; dense, succulent, and so fresh! My son loved the prime rib sliders, crab stuffed mushrooms, and lobster bisque. Luckily we saved room to split the chocolate explosion cake. Worth every bit of a $100 dinner bill!!

We went here for Christmas dinner. They were very busy, but service was attentive and the food was very good. We definitely appreciated their being open for the holiday and the highly professional staff. Steak cut was excellent and perfectly cooked. My only real criticism is an overabundance of salt on both the lobster tails (which don't need it at all, certainly not in this quantity) and the au gratin potatoes. Otherwise, solid all the way around.

My family and I had reservations last night to celebrate my brother going away to college out of state. Immediately as I arrived at our table a gentleman pulled my chair out for me, and right before our food arrived another gentleman placed a napkin in my lap for me, I felt like a princess. We all ordered appetizers Sweet potato casserole- TO DIE FOR. Very sweet, but oh so good. Caesar salad.... HOLY MOLY AMAZING the Broccoli, mushrooms, and shrimp was also delicious. Be careful with the bread, it is incredible, but filling. Wait until you get the other courses, it's worth it:) I ordered the Petite Filet medium well, and the rest of my family ordered theirs medium rare. BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD, seriously. It was perfectly prepared and tender. Portion size was perfect! We had 2 bottles of wine, and they let us take the remaining we didn't finish home with us. The desserts were also top par, huge portion sizes. Our waiter Radford was amazing!!!! We were having such a blast, by the time we left we had been there for over 3 hours. Overall, amazing service, incredible food, and very relaxed/classy environment. I would give this place 6 starts if I could I highly recommend this place to anyone, and it is perfect for celebrating special occasions with a large group, or a nice date night. Only advice I will give is if you're looking to have an inexpensive dinner, you will not find it here. You get what you pay for here, and it is worth EVERY PENNY:)

After 16 years, I have to say goodbye to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. I remember when it was a special place. Even before it was in Seattle you would seek it out in other cities. It was a place where I entertained people for years, enjoyed good times with friends and did plenty of work functions. Jen and I make it a regular stop before seeing movies downtown, getting appetizers, drinks and sharing a quick filet. As I have noticed the quality drop over time it reached it's all time low tonight. The once sublime Ahi Tuna was a fibrous mess, BBQ shrimp over-garlicky and the worst dirty martini I've had outside of Tijuana. I don't know who they are catering to, but I will just take that extra step to stay with El Gaucho and The Met The service was very odd and sporadic and I was glad they did not submit my second drink order so I could just pay up and leave.

Excellent service! This was our first visit to the Seattle location after visits to Ruth's Chris in San Francisco, Hawaii, and a couple of Southern California locations. I asked to sample the Merlot before ordering and was given a very generous (almost 2 oz) taste before deciding on my wine selection. The complimentary sourdough bread basket was hot and fresh, and they brought three baskets throughout our wait and meal. The 11 oz filet mignon was cooked to medium-rare perfection. Potatoes au gratin were creamy and the perfect size for two. Kids portions of 4 oz. filet mignon were also cooked perfectly, although peppered a little too heavily. The kids fries were also heavily peppered and our server happily brought out two new orders of fries for the kids without the seasoning. The kids meal also comes with a two scoop serving of ice cream. This restaurant is attached to the Hyatt Grand, which almost made me want to go to a different restaurant based on other reviews, but it does have its own street front entrance and the restaurant interior was fine as far as ambience goes. We parked around the corner at the Hyatt self park for $8 flat rate. The restaurant also gave 10% off the bill for checking in on yelp. Great meal and great service.

Breakfast. Medium rare filet and poached eggs and coffee. Coffee was good, then watery, then better again. Filet was refrigerator cold in the middle. Eggs were in a separate dish, in a little pool of water from cooking them. I am so happy I came here, now I never need to wonder what I am missing. I am missing nothing. Service was fine, but the kitchen needs much improvement for breakfast.

HAPPY HOUR REVIEW. I've been here a couple of times during happy hour. It is a great place to relax and have a few drinks and appetizers. During this visit, we had two orders of the seared ahi, a caesar salad and the BBQ shrimp. Apps are cheap during happy hour (seafood was $6, salad was $5). Limited HH menu, but delightful. The seared ahi was pretty good. A little dry, but the hot mustard sauce was good. I enjoyed the flavor of the BBQ shrimp. The caesar salad was pretty drenched, but tasty. Would have wanted it a little less drowning in sauce. Had a few glasses of the House Red and really liked it, though didn't know what I was drinking. LOL. Our server was amazing! I believe his name was Patrick. He was friendly, funny and efficient! Attentive, but not overbearing. I've been to Ruth's Chris about a thousand times on Oahu and have no desire to eat dinner here (unless they have the Chinese-style fish which was my favorite and I ate everytime I went, then I'll eat dinner. LOL.). But love coming to their happy hour when I'm in the area.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The server was confused all the time, had no knowledge about the cocktails on their menu at all. When another server brought our steaks, she had no idea of what she was serving, didn't know what steak it is and didn't know who ordered it. The plate looks like a shit! As for the food itself, yuck! Cooked and server so unprofessional.

Oh my yum!! I want to go back right now! We went for New Year's Eve, with a reservation of course, and got in quickly. The four of us sat at a comfortable booth with dim, intimate lighting. It's really a pretty restaurant, and it's huge! I wasn't really a fan of the bathroom being on the bottom floor though. The service was fast and fairly friendly. The food was amazing and we definitely left stuffed! We shared the barbecue shrimp appetizer and the crab cake appetizer, both were delicious. I had the stuffed chicken for dinner, which I loved and ate nearly all of, and everyone else had a different steak. I tried a bite of each of their steaks and they were all perfect! We shared sides of au gratin potatoes and lobster mac and cheese, which were all good as well. I tried a bite of my friends creme brûlée and it was super yummy!! They have a great wine list, I had the Velvet Devil Merlot by Charles Smith..he's my fave! I definitely recommend Ruth's Chris and I cannot wait to go back!

There was nothing at all special about the meal I had. I actually only took two bites of my lobster bisque before giving up. It tasted like plastic or something. The steak was okay, wish it had some kind of seasoning or salt, or anything on it, though. The asparagus and mashed potato sides were both at least $10 each and both were the most basic tasting sides you can think of. The waiter was very corporate, nothing real about his smile, and the hostesses were gossiping about guests at the front desk as I waited for my table. They did get us seats more than 20 minutes earlier than we were supposed to give us a table (it was on Christmas Evening). The building is actually beautiful, though, so I gave it an extra star. Will definitely be going back to Metropolitan Grill from now on. They know how it's done, from customer service to food.

Really solid happy hour food menu - great sliders with a pretty reasonable wait time. Goods location between downtown shopping and Capitol Hill. Seating in the bar area fills pretty quickly though.

After hacking, we feel like steak. Seriously, 2600 meeting, one of the guys says he feels like steak. So we walk a block to Ruths Chris and plop down in our t-shirts and jeans and go for it. Everything top drawer, steaks cooked perfectly. His comment - best steak he has ever had (it was RARE and he ordered it that way). Plus dessert - and he paid (I helped with the ten percent off coupon - which I did NOT hack Yelp to get so save it). Yeah I would go back, but I'd dress better - the girl behind me (I watched her in the mirror) was top drawer in a black dress - no wonder I was so hungry!

This review is about their happy hour. It was a little late after 9:00 So we popped into the lounge. happy hour was on. We had the flat bread, Sliders and the spicy shrimp. It was all way beyond my expectations. We were staying at the Grand Hyatt which is where Ruth Chris is attached to the Lobby. Definitely worth the visit.

I thought this was a chain restaurant and expected very little of it. The steak actually turned out great. Metropolitan Grill is still the best in Seattle, but this is a great alternative if it's more convenient time / location wise. Their prices aren't that far apart, so if you can, go to The Met. I went to El Gaucho too, and paid 1.5 as much, but I prefer the Steak at Ruth Chris more. I see myself returning here, whereas I probably wouldn't go to El Gaucho again. Actually, my ex gf and I would always walk around the Bellevue Square mall area (near the sky bridge to Din Tai Fung building), and smell this great smell. It happened 3 times, and one time we wondered around like sniffing dogs for an hour trying to find where the smell came from. We went into McCormick and Schmidt thinking that was where the smell was coming from, but it wasn't. Now, I discovered the smell came from Ruth Chris. This was quite unintuitive because of the geography / topography of the buildings makes you think it can't be from Ruth Chris that is located indirectly from the sky bridge. Not giving it 5 stars cause it's not the best steak in Seattle. One of the postulates of microeconomics is that people prefer more to less. Metropolitan grill costs roughly the same price, but taste better, so why pick Ruth Chris over Metropolitan grill, all things being equal. Ultimately, the decision boils down to whether you are in the Westlake area but too lazy or can't go to Metropolitan grill which is half a mile away. Service was as expected for a restaurant of this price, and no complaints.

My husband sister and I had thanksgiving dinner here. The food was fantastic! The only downside? We waited almost an hour to be seated. We got there around 5:30 for our 6 pm reservation. I know, we were early but we would rather show up early and kill time rather than be late. The hostess said that they were running around 15 min behind on their reservations. This turned out to be more like 20-25 min which seems like forever when you are waiting. The food was very delicious though !

Happy Hour! Ok so most people know Ruth's Chris, but do you know Ruth's Chris happy hour? We have been to their happy hour twice now and each time it has been really good. The choices are limited, but the food is good, and the seared Ahi is fantastic! We had a Caesar salad, seared Ahi, and the prawns. All was good, Ahi great, and the prawn sauce perfect for dipping bread. If you get a chance do the happy hour, it's worth it.

You have to ask yourself, could a steak possibly be worth $45? ... Said my skeptical self. The answer is YES YES YES! This food and service were stunning. The steak was literally melt in your mouth good. This place has to be converting vegans to the dark side :-)

Incredible food and fantastic happy hour $$. Quantity is good but for me the most important aspect it was the quality of the meat and the tasty cheese cake.

Ruth's Chris is generally consistent. This location sucks. Second attempt for dinner, large group and while the food was OK, the service left a lot to be desired. Our steaks were wrong, dinner wasn't served at once but in waves and some dishes were cold. Our waiter must have assumed because we were a large group he was getting a guaranteed gratuity of 20% and spent time waiting on smaller tables. We waited and waited to order. To get our food. To get drinks. After dinner we were ignored for more than 20 minutes---which after TWO HOURS of being there, we were looking for after dinner drinks, coffee and dessert. We finally got his manager and that turned into a scene. They comp'd us dessert----which was included in the Ruth's Classic dinner anyway. If you are downtown, go to Morton's, the Met, El Gaucho. They know great service and are the same price.

STACIA CHRISTENSEN - LEAD BARTENDER WAS HORRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL. The restaraunt food is great and the waitresses and waiters are wonderful, however Do not sit at the bar. I was only in town for business and needed some dinner and sat at the bar. The lead bartender, Stacia Christensen, was so very unfriendly and rude. If only the company knew how many customers will not return because of her. Spare your time and sit in the DINNING ROOM!

They have the most amazing happy hour food and drinks and best of all the price and service are outstanding. This can be a hard combination to find in Seattle. Aaron is so friendly and fast. The margaritas are fantastic and do yourself a favor and order a few of the barbecue shrimp plates, you won't want to share. The tuna is really very good as well. This is likely not a great summer spot - it's pretty dark inside but do add it to your "go to" list perhaps when the weather does not make a difference. You will love it!

Way to "stay classy." I walked in and told the Maître d' that I was meeting my Father and his wife and was pretty sure they had already been seated. To my surprise she said, "Go ahead and walk through the dining room and see if you can find them." Seriously???? Is this Applebee's? You're slippin, in my humble opinion!

Me and the misses love to eat here. The staff are always friendly and polite. The food is amazing. Our favorites are the bone in filet and the filet. The side dishes, and drinks are always great too. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great steak house!

While I have yet to eat here in person, I will most definitely give them my business on my next trip to Seattle. My wife is there at the moment, with an unexpected day added to her trip. We both were lamenting this fact, as our travel tends to have us going in different directions. The staff, sadly the only name I recall is that of Skylar (so I ask that she make sure to pass along my gratitude) were incredibly helpful in helping me surprise my wife with a glass of her favorite wine during her dinner. The ability for me to flirt with her from another state meant the world to me. Thanks to the eager staff at the bar and Skylar, it was a reality. Awesome customer service!!

I arrived at 7 and got a great table by the Bar where could watch all the action. This Ruth's Chris has a very trendy and up-scaled decor with a beautiful Bar w/ very beautiful people! After I drank my Whiskey, i ordered the Lobster Bisque, Bone-In Ribeye Steak, Potatoes Au Gratin and their Apple Crumb Cake for desert. The Bisque was great........but the Steak and Potatoes were awesome! The Ribeye was perfectly prepared Medium Rare and the Potatoes were full of Cheese flavor...super yummy. The Cake came with Vanilla Ice Cream and was very good but nothing too special. My waiter Ryan was OUTSTANDING....he gave me great service all night! The only negative is that the Bartender makes very WEAK drinks. I ordered two Whiskeys on the rocks.....and they were horrible........but the food made up for the poor cocktails. Overall....a huge hit! I will be BACK!!

*Happy Hour Review* We got here just a few minutes before happy hour started, which seems to be the way to do it as they filled up quickly. The seating area by the front of the restaurant is lovely - if you can snag a window seat you can get some good people watching too. Nicely decorated in a modern style, with comfortable seats. Happy hour drinks are well priced, with $4 wells and $5 martinis, as well as a pretty decent house red wine. The food is great - sliders were amazingly delicious! This is the first time I've had a slider and could tell the meat was obviously a higher quiality. It was chopped, not ground, and cooked to perfection. The flatbread pizza was good as well and bigger than I was expecting! The seared ahi was also a very generous size, and came with a lovely pickled cucumber salad and a spicy mustard sauce. The place was very busy but service was never slow. One of the best happy hours I've been to, definitely worth a try!

I took a friend of mine here for Christmas dinner 2013. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Previously I had looked at the reviews on Yelp and I think that the time it was 3 stars. 3 stars is fine, average but for Christmas dinner I wanted a nicer place. But as fate would have it this was one of the few places that my friend wanted to go that was open Christmas day. I had never even been inside this place before and was surprised at how big it was. The atmosphere is great, very warm and inviting all while maintaining a modern feel. There is a nice little bar area when you walk in and three separate dinning areas; there is also private dining downstairs. The area that we were seated in was a row of bench seats with tables and opposing chairs. Typically I don't like to face the wall but what was great about this seating is that the entire wall was mirrored so even though you were facing the wall you could see pretty much the whole restaurant behind you. We ordered drinks of course and I think I got a cucumber collins to start and it was very delicious. For an appetizer we got the crab cakes; I was a little apprehensive as they were $20 but I thought if they were TRUE crab cakes and not breadcrumb cakes it would be worth it. And crab cakes they were! They were small but just a touch of breading to hold them together and some other ingredients as well but I would say they were 90% crab. They were well worth the $20 I thought. The drink menu I should say was very extensive; I recall the wine "list" being a binder of sorts. It was great to have so many selections but possibly overwhelming at the same time. I ordered a Francis Ford Coppola pinot noir and it was fantastic. For dinner we both ordered the New York steak; I had mine medium rare. The sides are a la carte which I'm not a huge fan of but this is one of the few things I could say negatively. We decided to share the asparagus with hollandaise and potatoes a gratin. Both were enough to share between the two of us but both of the sides where nothing spectacular. The hollandaise was a little on the lemony side for me but I suppose that is just personal preference. It was delicious just not my kind of hollandaise. The potatoes a gratin was more like potato a gratin. It was about one large potato covered in yellow and white cheese. I really think that it was just cheddar and plain jack cheese. The potato was cooked perfectly I'll say but I thought for $9 it should have been more of an upgrade of the type of cheese used at least. Now... the steaks... New York strip steak which is one of my favorites. In this case they were double cut New York strips; even better! I think this was the best New York steak I've had; pretty darn close to the Melrose in Renton. I ordered mine plain with no sauce or anything; it certainly didn't need it. It was cooked perfectly medium rare as I had asked. The unique thing about about this place is that they brought your steak out on a heated plate to keep it warm during your dinner. My steak continued to remain perfectly medium rare throughout even though it was on a hot plate. A little pricey at $42 but it was a double cut and as delicious as it was I was happy to pay the price for it. The only real minor complaints I would have that are nit picky I'll admit (aside from the side order comments) but our waiter seemed a little rushed. It was Christmas; I get it but I didn't like feeling that we were a burned to him; even if it was extremely subtle. It also appeared that they did not have fresh ground pepper via a pepper mill as most places do. It was never offered to us but as it turns out we saw it being used at another table. There was an elevator but the last thing that wasn't great was the fact that the bathroom was downstairs; we had to go down three half flights of stairs to get to the bathroom; a little inconvenient. Again my "complaints" above are really nit picking but those little things combined made it four stars to me instead of 5; 5 is perfection in my mind. All in all this was a great, wonderful experience. If I'm downtown and need a steak I would actually go here as opposed to The Met for sure.

Great place for the boys to eat some meat and potatoes! I was finally able to visit this steak house and we werent disappointed. The filet and NY strip were both cooked perfectly. Honestly, the butter on the filet was the best I have ever had. And for the record, medium rare is the only way to go - everthing comes out on plates the temperature of the sun so it will cook a little as it rests...or you will be burned trying to eat it like a caveman They have a nice wine list and reasonable amount of draft beers. We also had the ceasar salad and the tempura onion rings. Both were also good. looking for a good steak in a nice, casual atmoshpere? This is your place in Seattle

Event: Group Dinner I went to a Birthday dinner for my cousin on a Saturday night. There was 10 people in our group. Order: Our group ordered the petite filet & lobster tail, lamb chops, creamed spinach, fresh asparagus, macaroni and cheese, chocolate lava cake, and fresh homemade cheesecake. Pros: The food was alright, not worth the price. The highlight was the homemade cheesecake. This was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It has a crumbly crust and the filling was smooth and creamy. Most cheesecakes are too sweet but this was perfect with a little tartness. Cons: We had to send a steak back because it wasn't cooked properly. We asked for medium well, it came medium rare. I was not impressed at all with the service. I believe our waiter could have been more attentive to our party. He was often absent during long periods of time. Conclusion: I won't be coming back for dinner, but maybe a drink and cheesecake.

I wanted my boyfriend to have a special dinner for getting a great new job. Ruth's Chris has the best filet mignon we've ever had. The reason it got 3 stars is because the attention to detail at this location just wasn't up to the same standards as the location in California. I'd give the one in Anaheim, California 5 stars because they were almost like a different restaurant. They could work on the ambiance and customer service at this Ruth's Chris.

An old goodie. Food was on par and better than some of the other cities. Our server, Mario was perfect - attentive, pleasant and not overbearing. It was a great dining experience for us and more importantly, our kids who polished off a 4oz filet each!

We came here before a show at The Paramount. It was a special night and I was looking forward to spending time with mom who just flew into town. The ambiance was lovely upon walking in. I thought it would be a perfect start to the night! We were seated and it appeared to be a high end restaurant based on the wait staff. They ordered our drinks and served them promptly. It then took about a half hour for them come back and take our order. It was out of the question to order steak as the show would be starting in a half hour. We mentioned that and our waiter acknowledged us. I ordered the crab cakes from the appetizer menu and my mom order the lobster bisque. Both of these entrees had a funky disgusting taste. Mom's bisque had one piece of lobster (or its counterpart). When we inquired what type of crab and lobster was used, he told us it came from a can. He then told me it was New Orleans style... Our bill came and he charged me $37 for my crab cakes. I thought at this price, it should have been real lump crab. I followed up and told him that I had ordered them from the appetizer menu, he then developed an attitude and reluctantly ran up our bill again. What a disappointing experience! Thank God the play was good! I don't think I will dine here ever again based on this experience.

We had a great time celebrating our anniversary at Ruth's Chris. Having been to other locations, I think this was on par with all other experiences. The ambiance isn't romantic, but the energy of the restaurant is lively. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was pretty good, not the best steak I've had, not even top 5, but their set menu is pretty affordable. (Tip: look at the smaller print on the inside cover, second half of the page. There is a set menu with a started, entree and dessert for ~$40-50 depending on the entree.) I think this was one of my biggest scores! I reserved the table on OpenTable; I cashed in points for a $20 OpenTable dining credit; I used a Ruth's Chris gift card from my office; I used Yelp's check-in for 10% off my bill and ended up paying just for tip. HAHA! The waiter looked quite confused when I handed him my phone, a check, a gift card and cash. But it's all good. Afterall, the bf did order "dry sack" (a sherry) during the dessert course and we all had a little giggle.

I've been to many Ruth's Chris locations but the downtown location was the first I had ever experienced, so it feels appropriate to review this location. I'm just going to say that I am tired of Ruth's Chris. Even reading the name makes me want to gouge my eyes out. For each and every Ruth's Chris location, and downtown is no exception, from the service to the food to the less important servers and bussers seem to have all come out from a pamphlet called How to Lack Personality 101. The people they hire came out of a factory line designed to look generic, make generic conversation, generic upselling, and so forth. I've never had a server whom I remembered. What does that mean? I'll tell you what it means. You are greeted by a generic-looking young woman dressed in black and she asks you about your reservation, blah, blah. Then you're greeted by typically a generic, experienced server. Like, oh, me, I've totally done this gig for only 200 years. It is why I am so dull. They ignore you for like 30 minutes and all of a sudden interrupt a most likely interesting conversation to take your order. Order comes out and if you've ordered the steak, they're always like, hey girl, watch those hands because this plate is like 500 degrees, tee hee! They check up on you way too many times to the point you want them to go away. And then hand you the check and disappear forever. So far, it's been this way every time. So. Boring. The steaks here are overrated. Granted, I'm not a big steak person and anything more than 4 oz of it will have me probably giving the rest of it to a dog. But I can enjoy the 4 oz that I eat. However, I don't enjoy the 500 degree plate because when I order my steak medium rare, I don't like having a well-done, leather-esque steak by the end of my meal. I recall ordering a T-Bone and Ribeye here before. I mean, it's just a slab of meat. They don't do anything special to it, it's not aged that long, and it's nothing special. Get a child a broiler or a grill and they could cook it just as well. I've had their crab cakes before and it came out so late that they said it was on the house. That's great, I love being full and then enjoying my appetizer. Crab cakes were super tiny and overall not enjoyable especially because it was given to us after the meal. The only thing I enjoyed was dessert. The chocolate sin cake is good, I'll admit. But mix flour, chocolate, chocolate sauce, eggs, and cream in a bowl, and I'll eat that raw. So, that's a little hard to screw up. What Ruth's Chris excels at is being pretentious. Give me a rock to sit on and a slab of low grade Costco steak and I could have a better time.

Quite disappointing. Came here for a friend's birthday and ordered a medium well. Got a rare meat instead. Complained, and got a burnt well done meat. Definitely not something you will expect out of a steakhouse restaurant. They have good desserts thou. Good service, but definitely not worth the price.

The food was pretty good, but the service really pulled down this rating. If you are going to spend ~$70/person (excluding drinks), you expect to have great or at least decent service. The hostess was nice but our waiter hardly care we were there, kept us waiting, didn't bring out all of our order and we sat with empty plates after finishing for about 20 minutes. I have had just as good or better steaks for a whole lot cheaper and with better service, so I probably won't bother going back again.

I've been spoiled by Daily Grill's & Cheesecake Factory's happy hour. I try not to praise chains but in this case I will. Definitely lower your expectations if you decide to come here for HH. Don't be surprised if you get ignored by your sever. My friends were ignored a couple of times while the server gal just stood around looking clueless. We saw the employee that brought us our food more times than our actual server. I have to give them credit on their food though. They don't have a lot of choices but it was still good. I got the sliders; they only give you 2. Had the Caesar salad; shared that one...it was ok. Also the BBQ shrimp; it was also good. The food was good however the selection and quantity is not good enough to keep me coming back.

I Love Ruth's Chris!!! Yes, it is expensive, but here's how to justify the cost... 1.) Go for the "Ruth's Classic" dinners For between $43 and $53 (depending on which entree you choose) you get bread, soup or salad, a generous entree, a generous side and a delicious dessert. Choose the Ribeye for your entree! It is huge and delicious. 2.) Generous Portions Unless you are a very big eater, you are not only buying your dinner for the night, but also a hefty portion of leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Best leftovers ever. 3.) Service I have never had better service than I have had at Ruth's Chris. I also dig the themed confetti on the table for special occasions. Great place to celebrate your birthday. What's Not to Love? Well. My only complaint is that I live just barely too far away to make a regular trip and it's in Seattle. Seattle isn't exactly a quick and easy in and out. Big city with big traffic and a rather obnoxious transient problem. However, Ruth's Chris is just far enough from the bum infested blocks for a nice comfortable visit. Try it, you'll like it!

My husband and I had a dinner date last Saturday. It was wonderful as usual. The food was excellent and prepared well. We were served with a warm baguette and whipped butter as soon as we were seated. Seared ahi tuna and spicy lobster for appetizer. They were both delicious! The tuna was resting on a tasty dark sauce and served with pickled salad. The lobster had a light but flavorful batter, it came with a really nice sauce which complimented the dish very well. For the main course, I always order the lamb chops. It is cooked to perfection! the meat was tender, generous portion, served with mint jelly. My hubby ordered the halibut and it tasted fresh with a simple sauce. Very nice. The sides and the wines were both wonderful. We've always had a good experience at Ruth's!

OK. I understand that you held the salt for a year before I returned, but did you have to pour it into every one of the four dishes I ordered tonight? I'm looking for cholesterol pills. Drinks tasted like they are poured out of a gun. My gawd. Service is still great though.

THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES IN THE WORLD!!!! Seriously though, we ate here for breakfast every morning we were staying at the Hyatt (this is attached) and those chocolate chip pancakes were so freaking amazing I ate them every single day and happily enjoyed the 5lbs I gained because of it. I've been here for lunch a dinner too - the steaks are amazing and so are the burgers, but really, you should come here for breakfast and eat the chocolate chip pancakes :).

We visited this location of Ruth's Chris for my birthday last weekend. The ambiance and service was typical of the upscale steakhouse, not much to remark upon there. The good: Outstanding steaks sizzling in butter and cooked to perfection Wonderful salads - the caesar was to die for! The mediocre: The side vegetable items were beyond forgettable and bland. We couldn't even finish them. A nice evening out, but not sure if it was worth the price, considering there are many similar restaurants to choose from who might have better prepared sides.

Actually got a written thank you from my server a week after dinner. Excellent, customer service is on par with good Vegas type service. Food was great, seafood and steak Drinks were great, atmosphere fantastic, valet service, great place no complaints.

I'd really say Ruth's Chris is a 3.5 stars spot. So for me there are just a few things that I really love about this place. Good cuts of meat and decently fresh seafood (I've only ever had lobster tail here though). Beautiful establishment. It really does look classy inside. They have a blue cheese topping for their steaks and their garlic mash potatoes are pretty rad. You can use your Open Table app or the link from Yelp to make reservations. Woot! There are also a few things that just don't quite sit right with me here. I've never had horrible service but out of all the times I've been here I've never been amazed by the service either... and for what I'm paying I'd half expect a foot massage with my meal. It's just like the staff are so ambivalent to the point I could order food and tip them a million dollars or I could drop dead in front of them and their night would continue on the same either way. I could also do with a larger cut of fillet... 8oz is for babies and people under 4 feet. They have a 'cook chart' on their menu so you can easily determine how they cook a steak medium or rare or whatever your choice is... and they've still over/under cooked my steaks. Maybe that's on me... I usually ask how the chef cooks their steaks. Also, there are a ton of parking garages and options around but if there's a show or event happening across the street the parking goes up to $20-30... a bit ridiculous. This isn't Ruth's Chris' fault but it's just something to be aware of. I'll definitely be back because I love steak and this is one of the few spots I can bribe my dad and uncle with to get them to drive up to Seattle to see me... kinda like that kid in school who had to tie steak around their neck so their dog would play with them... it's a lot like that. I'm a fan.

As far as steakhouses go, Ruth's Chris isn't my favorite. I hate comparing places but it's hard not to and I'd much rather go to Daniel's Broiler than RC, even if it means spending a little more money. (Dare I say, even, that I might have had better steak during my most recent visit to Black Angus??) My boyfriend and I came here and ordered the mushrooms stuffed with crab meat to share. They were fine but nothing great. I also ordered the asparagus and hearts of palm salad to start - good, clean flavors. For our entrees, I ordered the ribeye and mashed potatoes while he ordered the filet and brussels sprouts. Ribeye is my favorite cut of meat and I always order it when it's my first time at an establishment. It's hard to do, but Ruth's Chris preparation made the meat almost dry, though it was well-seasoned. My boyfriend didn't much care for his steak either. And not to mention that all of our food was covered in butter! I love butter, but when I can see small puddles of butter on every one of our plates...it's not very appetizing. Dessert was satisfying - we ordered the bread pudding and the cheesecake and pecan/chocolate bark - but again, not the best we've had. I'm a little disappointed. I was really excited for Ruth's Chris, but just found the food unexciting. I wouldn't mind going back, but if I have the option, I'll probably go elsewhere.

So freaken terrible. When my friend and I went in, one of the hostess told us that another hostess will check us in, and that it'll just take a minute without reservation for us to get a table. The suppose-to-check-in hostess waved us away to check in a couple that had reservation. Okay, I get that they had a reservation, but still, you told me that I would be next to be check in, you could've said please wait instead of just waving us off. Finally after the 15minutes that we waited to check in AND to get a table. They finally remembered us, and ushered us to our table. No smiles no nothing. After we were seated, the server Eleanor acknowledged my friend, but paid me no attention. Why did I say that? Well she shook hand with my friend, and asked her for her name, and yet she paid me NO attention other than welcome. Such unfair treatment, seriously? I felt totally ignored, like a backdrop. There were too many servers, too many miscommuncation, because so many things were going on at once. We told Eleanor that we wanted ice water with slices of lemon, she told Tyler, and Tyler returned with just water. However, he was kind enough to bring us back some when we asked. Eleanor told us of the USDA beef blah blah TWICE as if, we didn't hear the first time, and when we asked her what she recommend, she couldn't give us a good answer other than this this this this this. (I was expecting something along the line of "I recommended THIS RIGHT HERE because blah blah"). My friend ordered a 3-course Ruth's classic or w.e. is called, and I ordered an appetizer and a fillet & lobster. My friend told specfically that she don't want shrimp with her 6oz steak because she's allergic, yet when the dish was served, it had shrimp on it. We had to wait for the kitchen to redo everything. My friend had ordered her steak to be medium rare, and my steak was to be medium well, yet they switched our order. Mines was medium rare and hers was medium well. BAD BAD BAD.. The steak was buttery on the outside, and dry in the inside. The steak @ cheesecake factory is better than this. Dessert time, just as we thought it can't get any worse, we told Eleanor we would like the dessert to be packed because it tasted too BS. 20minutes later, the dessert still hasn't came back in a box. Apparently, she had forgotten all about it, and we had to ask the other guy Tyler to find the missing dessert. Overall I spent $65 there, I was hoping for Daniel's Broiler's service and quality. Yet I got Denny's service and quality. Would NOT recommend this to ANYONE.

Besides the mediocre food and the Sara Lee cheesecake, which were the high points, the service and ambience were atrocious. We were greeted by the ill tempered hostess as she hurriedly and rudely escorted us to our table. The waitress was pleasant enough, mainly because we only saw here 3 or so times. Half of our meal was accompanied by a fire alarm complete with flashing lights and sirens. The half assed apology from the manager and comped desserts were not quite enough. To top it off not all of our order arrived and had to ask our waitress to remove the missing item from our check.

I only go for their happy hour here. I can't afford to dine for dinner! It's too expensive unless I'm going for a special occasion. This place was my favorite happy hour for awhile. I love their shrimp kabobs and garlic bread, ahi tuna & sliders. The margarita pizza is ok. The drinks are good like the cosmo and lemon drop. It's a pretty fancy place!

We had a wonderful dinner at Ruth Chris. The steaks were wonderful however I would recommend the filet over the strip by far. The creme brûlée was out of this world and the tortilla soup for an app was great which is why I give 5 stars for a steakhouse that can have all types of food.

Based on happy hour only... Not a fan of the blanding of American via chain restaurant. Was early for an event across the street so stopped in RC for happy hour. Fair deal for wine (well drink alcohol was godawful label I needed to avoid) and some tasty appetizers (tried the ahi and some shrimp). Not my first choice but I'd go back. Depending on the crowd you're running with this is a very safe bet.

So I wanted something good to eat and was suggested this place. The prices are a little high but you get what you pay for! I loved their wine selection and loved the food. It was great, best steak I have ever had (in a long time) the meat melted in your mouth like butter. The dessert I had was to die for. Everything was fresh and tasted great! I was set in the back and I didn't like that at first, but realized that it benefited me due to noise and the cold weather. I loved it and will be going back as soon as I get home!! Its definitely something you should do for yourself @ least once a month. Expect t spend @ least $60/person (with mean and wine)

I went to the Pine St location just before Christmas and was very impressed; the food was excellent and the service was superb. We started with the Mushroom stuffed with crabmeat. They were huge and completely stuffed with crabmeat to overflowing. The Caeser salad I had was also quite large and covered with large shavings of parmesan. I actually had to take about a dozen of them off because it was too distracting. The dressing was creamy and I could tell it was fresh. In my opinion, it could have used more anchovy/sardines and should have had at least some capers. Regardless, it was enjoyable. Our main dish was the beef filet and , of course, it was ENORMOUS. It was perfectly cooked but twice the size of what I'm used to in Canada. The baked potato that came on the side was bigger than 2 of my clenched fists. It was slightly undercooked but ended up having only a few bites leaving more room for the beef. We ended up taking half our steaks in a doggy bag which was the perfect after-boozing snack at 3 AM. All in all, a great establishment in a premiere location. Be prepared to drop some coin for all this goodness though; wasn't cheap!

The steaks were great. The stuffed chicken breast was yummy. The crab cake was not good. The french onion soup was the worst i've had. The price was high. Warning when you order the ribeye you get ...the ribeye, the whole ribeye and NOTHING BUT the rib eye. If you want veggies that will cost you an extra $6.50!

Ruth's Chris is a pricey steakhouse for sure -- and for a good steak (not the best) it's a fancy and special occasion place to go. Last night, however, the intended purpose was to have small appetizers and drinks prior to a showing at the Pantages. We missed happy hour so had to go for the normal price appetizer menu. $150 later (including tip) my friend and I left for the theather -- 4 appetizers and 2 drinks a piece. Ridiculous. Each appetizer averaged around $16 a piece but were nothing exceptional. We had ahi sashimi (seared) with no sauce and very little flavor (except the fresh lemon they give you to squeeze over it, which is a strange accompaniment for ahi, I think), the onion rings (tasty, crispy, fresh), the barbecue shrimp (which tasted less of barbecue and more of butter and were quite a bit overcooked), and the sliders (pretty much Arbie's quality shaved meat on a lifeless bun...you needed plenty of the horseradish spiked sauce so there was any flavor at all). My friend, a wine aficionado, remarked on a particular glass of wine he had thought of order ($26/glass) which he indicated to the waitress was almost as much as the entire bottle anywhere else you would order it. Probably good for happy hour, not so good for appetizers not on a discount. Coupled with the relatively slow but still friendly service...there are other places in Seattle to drop that kind of cash and get a helluva lot more.

This being review number 300, I wanted dazzle and awe. But instead, I experienced over rating and disappointment. (Well this would have been 301, but my prior review must have gotten deleted as only my business debit card clone visited here Christmas 2008 for a $500 meal and I did review that!) I met 2 friends here for lunch, well they were late and so it was at 3 and after their lunch menu. I was not extremely hungry and didn't really feel like steak, so I opted for a Caesar Salad and the Seafood Gumbo. One dining companion got a Petite Steak dinner combo and the other got a Cobb Salad and Crab Stuffed Stuffed Mushrooms. I did try a bite of the steak - ummm - I hate to say, but what I get at Sizzler in Olympia is better, for a lot less money. The Caesar Salad was OK, not spectacular as I anticipated. The Crab Stuffed Mushrooms were not a hit with any of us. All 3 of us agreed that this place is way over rated. But the servers were great! And they did check my ID for my credit card which I appreciate, especially after the 2008 Christmas incident.

We went here on a lark before a show at the Paramount. I had heard good things and the Yelp reviews were positive. This was a costly mistake. The only redeeming quality of this place is the service but even that is lacking. (Just because 15 people come to your table doesn't mean the service is above average.) The food was lacking. The environment is so "chain". The price is crazy - and we don't mind spending money on good food. This place is like Daniel's if done by Ikea. We won't be back and wouldn't recommend this place.

Located just off the lobby area of the Grand Hyatt, Seattle, Ruth's is right-on in providing cordial service and a very contemporary setting (whether you elect to have up-close and personal bar service or a booth for four. (The advantage to a bar stool (or 2) is the proximity to flat screen viewing). Prices should be what you would expect at a relatively hip venue. Bartenders and waiters are relatively prompt, very courteous and eager to please (I have been here often as a solo-biz-traveler, with buds, or with my family.) Personal faves: chop salad, crab cakes, sliders (all very filling). My gin martinis: dry, on stem, garnish with an olive or two, please. Well done. Pricey? Not very. Based on staff 'attiude' and attention - give it 4 always.....maybe 5 someday if my martinis are equally stiff.

I've avoided his venerable chain, run by the Fertels; New Orlean's legendary restaurantuers. There are so many steak houses and a national chain from the 1980's just didn't fascinate. The name, the vibe, even the marketing has an aged patina that doesn't attract. Particulalry in the shadow of such monumental wonders as El Goucho and The Met Grill. We went on Thanksgiving as its one of the few better places open. The pri fixe trukey traditional menu was a mere $28 and scared me as a pre fab conveyor offering, and this was verified by our waiter Dee. So we ventured into the menu for less conventional T-day fare, choosing on sides like asperagus and crab stuffed mushrooms. I had a jumbo prawn cocktail that to my surprize was the best I've ever had. For dinner my darling had a filet and shrimp, I stayed on the manly carniverous course with a New York steak. Both were very good, though not 5 star class. The highlight of the evening, however, was our waiter Dee. Notice I didn't say "food server", Dee is old school and terriffic. If you go , ask for him! Attentive, demurely humerous, elegant but not stuffy. A note on the decor, its modern but not especially swank, appealing but not enthralling . Its not Sinatra as is El Goucho, or Men's Club like The Met. Frankly, its more benign contemporary with 1990's hotel motif. Frankly, with better choices abounding (even Daniels is much better ambiance) I don't think I'd return. Still and all, a very good expereience.

Went for breakfast once, as its the only Ruth Chris in the country that serves breakfast, and we were intrigued. It was just common breakfast food, totally overrated and expensive. Plus, our surly waitress got after this other waitress after we asked her to fill up our coffee because our waitress was nowhere to be found. "Don't do that! Its my table!" She yelled. It was weird. Happy hour is a totally different story. Their happy hour used to not be so good. But they've brought on a few dishes that are excellent. The barbecue shrimp is awesome, comes with a really heavy cream sauce. If you were really hungry, this would be a filling meal. I love the prime rib sliders, I like them so much better than the burger sliders. Flatbread pizza was ok, edible, but we were starving. Went on a Sat night around 10:30. We'd watched the World Cup then taken a LOOOOng nap, and were just looking for a quiet night. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time. Walked by yesterday during early happy hour, and the place was booming, but their bar area is huge--there is the upstairs portion immediately to your left when you walk in, then the downstairs area as well. Must be 50 seats. My lemon drop has little to no alcohol in it, but Hubs Manhattan was awesome. That's what I get for ordering a Lemon Drop.

the food was basically ok, and I hate to complain, but here I go. Usually a fan of this dependable chain, this Ruth's at the Hyatt in Seattle was a disappointment. first to appear was a basket of cold white bread. If you're going to cheat and eat carbs at a steakhouse, at least get something hot and tasty. 2nd disappointment: the drinks: the scotch on the rocks was a small shot in a little glass, not a steakhouse heavy pour in a double old fashioned glass. 3rd: the bill for this short shot of scotch was 16.50. I had to complain to the manager at this point, who was not interested, saying it was company policy. I believe that on the pricing, but the bartender's stinginess on portion was definitely in her power to amend. She chose not to, and so I choose to go to the Capital Grille from now on. It's time to skip Ruth's Chris when in Seattle.

If you're going here for regular dinner, this place is alright, not particularly the best but decent enough. I do like the extra touch that Ruth's always does by providing you with a sizzling hot plate so you can cook your steak to your own desire. However, I am particularly writing my review about their Happy Hour. It's offered Daily 4-6PM and 9-11PM. Good prices but very disappointing in terms of selection. I guess I am a bit spoiled by the Bellevue Ruth's because they offer more menu items than Seattle's, some of which are the sole reason that they draw me to Ruth's Happy Hour in the first place.

Ate breakfast there for the first time. The food was good but the potatoes could have been cooked a little more. The waiter also could be a little more polite he was rather stiff and not very friendly. Overall a three because the hollandaise sauce was prepared very nicely and the decor was chic.

I have only dined at the bar, as we like the bar being just the two of us. I'd certainly not arrange to meet 20 friends for HH, as I would think that a large party would want to make reservations. When a review is poor you have to consider all variables and see that some people are just not that savvy. We have had nothing but excellent service at the bar. The staff is very sociable and the food always very good. Yes - get the sliders if you have not ever tried them they do melt in your mouth. The steak salad with blue cheese (not a HH choice) is outstanding! We like Rhonda, she's laid back, social and very attentive. Thanks for making our weekend Rhonda!

I went with a group of seven for a work lunch and we were all commenting on how few people were at the restaurant. Well, we soon found out why. First we ordered a bottle of champagne. Someone who wasn't our server returned with a half bottle of the champagne that we requested and said that they were out of the full size. We said it would be fine as long as the cost was about the same. She check the cost and told us that the half bottle was the same price as the full. WHAT?? Then we ordered a different bottle and they were out of that, too. Of the five people who ordered steaks, three were overcooked (we all requested medium rare which is the standard at a steakhouse). Normally when I eat at a nicer steak house, the server will ask us to cut into our steaks to make sure it's the correct doneness - this didn't happen. One of my colleagues ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich and she said that the bun was very soggy and she hardly touched her lunch (somehow the server didn't notice that she hardly touched her food and the busboy clearing our table was the one who asked her if there was something wrong!). The seventh person had a steak sandwich and she returned the entire dish because it was cold (even the fries were cold). We also ordered a couple sides of broccoli and they were mushy and over-cooked. I can make better steamed broccoli in the microwave! Salads and ahi tuna appetizer were fine. Dessert was a comedy of errors, too. Two out of seven of us had different dessert menus. We ordered Bread Pudding (really good with lots of raisins), Crème Brulee (really good with a nice crunchy top), and Key Lime Cheesecake. Well, we were served the first two, but instead of the cheesecake, we got a chocolate peanut butter cake that was very dry. We asked the server if there was a mistake and she said she didn't know what the cheesecake was supposed to look like! Well, then she confirmed with the kitchen that they were no longer serving cheesecake and that was on an old menu (which two of us got!). She never even apologized for the error and no one said anything until we brought up the question. The server was also slow even though she was only working on two tables (there were only three tables in the entire place, including our party, from 12pm - 2pm). She also wasn't very friendly, just kind of there. In place of Ruth's Chris, I would highly recommend Capital Grille in downtown Seattle for a steakhouse - excellent food and service.

After checking into my room at the Grand Hyatt, I wander to Ruth's Chris. I know this place. There's one in SF I have yet to go to. My friend Sue was at the bar waiting for me. She had made friends there. I find it ironic that my vegetarian friend would chose to wait for me in a Steakhouse. The bartenders were attentive and pleaseant. My Absolute Ruby Red and Tonic was perfect. I would drink here again.

Most people think of Ruth's Chris as a steak house (especially since that's in their name), but the best thing here is their happy hour. Everything on the bar menu is half price, and they pick a cocktail, a beer, and a wine-by-the-glass for a drink special. I wish more Ruth's Chris's would follow suit.

I'd stayed away from Ruth's Chris for awhile because it's a chain and I figured it just couldn't be that good. But someone else was offering to pay so I decided to give it a try. Well it was worth every penny...ok actually I was impressed. The steaks are really quite good and served to perfection (I like it rare and they do rare right). Yes it's pricey (even for an upscale steakhouse) but not out of control. The a la carte sides are different (and aren't all that great in comparison to the steaks). The desserts are pretty good and the service is strong. So all in all it exceeded my expectations.

this is a review of the happy hour at ruth's chris downtown. we tried the kobe sliders, ahi tuna, and the margherita pizza. all three were excellent and the drinks were delicious (i especially liked the orange citrus mojito)! great service, nice atmosphere. this would be a great place to stop in for a drink before a show at the paramount. i will definitely come back again.

The filet.... When you get through eating it, you're kind of sad. Its all over..Unless you want to order another, and I've seen that actually done. Lots of guests of RC are definitly members of the Clean Plate Club. Not because their parents guilt-tripped them with stories about the poor when they were kids either. This is good eatin...I've never actually had a steak melt in my mouth like that before. I've had other dishes/entrees at RC and they're all good to great. The steaks are top shelf. But....This place is spendy OK? The large filets are 40 bucks.. Dinner for 3 with no booze canl set you back upwards to two large with the tip so its not a great a idea to be on a tight budget at this place. Service is good and attentive. The downside to this location is that it can get a bit loud. Lots of racket. By the way, we tried the breakfast menu the next morning...RC's specialty is dinner items. Morning menu entrees are "ok", taste and look good but nothing campared to what you can expect at din-din.. Rule of thumb for dining at Ruths Cris: Eat slowly and enjoy every single bite.

the food is nothing short of amazing. i mean, cummon, it's ruth's chris. i usually would not find myself eating in a fine establishment such as this because of the prices. however, the happy hour is great because of the killer deals on food and it has awesome hours. the dress code is simple, you can dress casual or dress up, just don't look like a total douche when you walk in because people will stare. good spot to hit for a late dinner or some drinks after a day in downtown.

Excellent steaks. I'm not used to everything being a la cart but no biggy, it's all good. The food is great and the wine selection is good too. The place is nice. I'd recommend it. I'll have photos as soon as I visit again. It's kind of out of my way these days.

My brother took me there to celebrate my 50th birthday. On the menu there was a section where a table of two could order from a selection of cuts and sides and get an appetizer and dessert, so we did that. Both of our steaks were incredible. I loved their potato al gratin. The appetizer was great, and I made room for the dessert. My brother's steak, besides being delicious was also large and he took half of it home. As I drove home I wished I had held back a little too. I would have loved to have some more of that filet. I'm looking forward to taking my wife there. The restaurant is very dark and tables were far enough from each other to create intimacy. We couldn't overhear other patrons and were honestly not even aware of them other than knowing the restaurant was working at near full capacity. You might need your phone to light your menu enough to read it. Take advantage of the valet parking immediately next door. You get validation from the restaurant. It makes eating downtown super easy.

GREAT HH!! Food dishes vary from $5-$6 a plate. Seriously the best $6 I've spent on fresh tuna. The seared tuna melts in your mouth! I've had better flatbread pizza- but this was still good. The kobe beef sliders- YUM!! Make sure to put lots of the horseradish sauce. What a delightful little burger- again MELTS in your mouth. Lastly- perhaps the most unhealthy thing on the menu- the cesar salad! SO good! The dressing is packed with flavor. I never knew Ruth Chris's had such a divine HH- I will definitely be back! Oh yea- get the lemon drop martini, which literally tastes like juice! nom nom :)

Great service and a nice place to get a meal before a Paramount show. I ordered the ~$45 classic and chose: the caesar salad, petit filet and shrimp, green beans with garlic, and the pina colada bread pudding. All three of us in the party ordered steaks that were cooked perfectly. So the only negative here is that their steaks are drenched in butter - but hey, I guess that's what makes them so yummy. Sides were done simply but well. Next time maybe the rib eye!

We rushed here to make happy hour before a show. It was our mission to fill up, booze up, and be ready to roll for as little cash as possible. We made it, but our drinks and food took about 20 minutes, which did not allow for a second round at the happy hour prices. This would have warranted a 2- or 3-star rating. BUT. As we received our drinks, our waiter let us know they were comping all of our food. Swell! They did us right! We'd ordered 2 flatbread pizzas and 2 plates of sliders. The flatbread pizza was simply cheese, basil, and grape tomatoes on homemade crust that was almost cracker-like. It was excellent and the sliders were tasty, especially with the accompanying sauce. We were so pleased with our $37 bill for 5 people, we gave him a generous tip. And as we got up to leave, he brought out a round of shots for us! Cajun rattlesnake, slutty girlscout, something like that. Anyway, delicious, and appreciated. I almost hope they screw up next time because that was pretty awesome. Mission Accomplished.

They say never trust a person with two first names, this however, is the exception. Really good steaks, but sadly, not memorable. I've been to this place a couple times in my life, and when I try to think about the steak, my mind draws a blank. Sad. What really stands out at Ruth's Chris to me is the amazing service and atmosphere. This is how dining was meant to be! Everything on the menu is a la carte, so it's kind of fun to pick and choose what you want to eat for your meal. I got their daily special, surf and turf, it was pretty good, but like I said, not very memorable. But their sweet potato casserole was mind blowing! So to sum this up, this is the place to impress your date, or if you just need a sweet potato casserole fix.

The atmosphere here can't be beat for a romantic night out. However, I found that Morton's or Flemings has a much better steak for the price.

A friend of mine and I stayed at the Hyatt where the steakhouse is located and the night before we checked out, we went to Ruth's for their happy hour. We ordered 2 plates of the prime rib sliders, an ahi tuna, and drinks. The price was very cheap. The food was about $6 each and the drinks at around $4. The prime rib sliders was just fantastic as it was small yet had quite a bit of meat in it and they were my favourite. The drinks were good and I liked the lemon drop quite a bit.

Very good steaks, my favorite cuts are the filet and ribeye but it's been several years since I've eaten in the main restaurant area. This particular evening last weekend we came for a party and dined on the lower level, within the Wine Cellar. We dined like kings and queens with the fare that was provided by their catering staff. This is where we started out lemon drop pub crawl... We each got 2 drink tickets good for anything. We opted with the muddled grey goose lemon drops- super smooth! I like to think of them as adult lemonade as to prevent them from becoming too girly of a drink for my consumption. Good times!

After seeing the awesome Rockettes, hubby suggested we go here for dinner. The interior was dark, but not like a smokey lounge or anything, but comforting. The lighting I thought was perfect. It almost wants to have a stuffy feeling, but doesn't really carry it. We were taken to a nice big table for four. Loved that we had room. Our waiter Jasper was very cool and attentive. He also was pretty funny and not stuffy at all. Definitely be on look out for him! The service overall was superb. The appetizers were both good. The jumbo prawn cocktail was good, but the Seared Ahi was delicious. It had a wonderful smokey flavor throughout, the mustard/ginger/beer sauce went well with it. A squeeze of lemon added more brightness! We went with the Fall Menu something. I forgot the name but basically you pick soup or salad, and your entree, and dessert comes at the end of the meal. Hubs picked Rib Eye, I picked Lamb Chops. He picked gumbo as his starter and I picked the Harvest Salad. I knew since I was going to eat meat, I needed some green. The salad was good with goat cheese, dried cherries and a tangy vinaigrette. I had a taste of the Gumbo and it was pretty hearty and had a nice kick, it was good. Hub liked his Rib Eye, but I admit I love their Lamb Chops! I got 3 awesome meat lollipops. It was flavorful and tender all the way through. Sorry to any diners that heard me oooh and ahhing over every bite. I seriously loved it that much. Mind you all I'm not much of a meat eater or lamb eater, but it was that good. The creamed corn was so good too. Don't know it seems relatively simple but it was so good! Our desserts were carrot cake with deep fried "hair" just think shredded, hair thin carrots deep fried and sprinkled with sugar, that was on top of our cake! Yum! The other dessert was a smooth and creamy chocolate mousse. Lovely experience, even for a "chain" restaurant. Everyone we encountered gave us wonderful service! Great choice if you're coming from a show or lingering downtown!

my love of Ruth's Chris started in the Emerald City! I got introduced to RC when my hubby received a $50 gift certificate back when he used to work for the Grand Hyatt. We went there for lunch, and was still fairly expensive. Looking at the menu, as the saying goes "don't judge the book by it's cover" and I say price. Heck, it better be good for the price I thought. It certainly did not disappoint me. Our overall experience since then left a good taste in our mouth...we knew that it would be a restaurant we'll frequent, when we have the extra $$$.

Love their happy hour special. My favorite is their seared ahi tuna... sooo perfectly seared and great with a cosmo. Next time I want to try their crabtini. :) I also have had their actual dinners before too and it was good but for the price, I would go back for their happy hour time.

Fancy, but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. We've been hearing about Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for years now. When my husband got a bonus we decided to go to Ruth's Chris for the first time at the downtown Seattle location. Here's what you get for your money...Instead of one waiter you get a waiter and another guy, who's similar to a waiter but a little different. Both are very professional, friendly, and prompt. You also get a very sophisticated and classy setting. The food is similar to what you would get at a nicer chain restaurant like The Keg or Black Angus. So, bottom line is that you are getting an experience and you can say that you went to Ruth's Chris. My husband treated two of his co-workers so he ended up paying about $400 for the four of us including drinks, but not including the extra $10 valet charge. The food is nice and the extra attention is fine, but personally I think that money is better spent on a piece of jewelry and a nice dinner at The Keg!

We made a reservation, came in time but waited for 15+ minutes, which was way passed our reservation time, on a thanksgiving day. Not accetable and not expected from this restaurant! Bad experience! In addition, they forgot about our appetizers/salads and gave us our main dishes first.

Great breakfast! Especially considering it was free... JJ and I were staying in the Grand Hyatt (where the restaurant is located) and we had 2 free breakfast coupons each morning (acutally each coupon is worth $25, so $50 each day was plenty to get free breakfast). The first day I had the brioche french toast, which was delicious! The bread was so incredibly good, as was the side of sausage links I ordered as well. JJ had the granola and yogurt. We both had coffee which was surprisingly good, and our cups were never empty, constantly refilled. The second day I had Northwest Eggs Benedict (replace the ham with crabcakes) and it was out of this world. It came with a side of fruit, and I also had a side of whole wheat toast with blackberry jam. I haven't been this crazy about breakfast in a long time. Again, coffee for both of us which was always refilled. JJ had the french toast this time, and she loved it as well. The service was kind and superb, just the sort of service you want in the morning before you've had coffee. Cheers!

We went here last night after horrible food from Dragonfish cafe across the street. It's like a big upgrade, we had cabernet, prime rib slider, tuna and caesar salad. The salad is a bit overdressed for me but the rest of the food (and drink) is like an angel sing from above compared the food from dragonfish. Love it .. love it .. love it .. will be back soon.

Red meat cooked to my liking and served in a puddle of butter? Heaven! The prices seem a bit much, El Gaucho prices for what seems like less...but they'll do in a pinch.

I can't believe I'm rating a Ruth's Chris at 2 stars, but that's all they deserve. OK, maybe 2.5 stars, but I just can't give it 3. If you live here and/or have a car, go to the Bellevue location instead. We wandered in for the late night happy hour, figuring we'd enjoy Ruth's Chris on the cheap. Well, the HH was disappointing and nothing like the meals we've enjoyed at other locations. Service was seriously lacking--took a long time for someone to come to our table for the order, and then the waiter didn't check on us very often. In fact, he disappeared completely toward the end our meal and the bartender handled our bill, and she didn't know what had happened to him. Here's what we ordered ($5 per plate): BBQ Shrimp: Good (shrimp themselves are nothing special, but cooked properly and in a good sauce) Kobe Beef Sliders: What a joke, esp. for a steakhouse! Thin, measly, dry beef patties on buns. No condiments to help. McDonald's would've been better. Such a disappointment. Prime Ribeye Sliders: Good if you add the horseradish sauce that comes alongside, but I think they tasted better to us because we had just been disapponted by the Kobe Beef Sliders. Ahi Tuna: Good. Nice presentation. Nothing to write home about, but good quality fish. Overall, I think the lack of service and merely "ok" or "good" quality of food is inexcusable for a chain with the reputation of Ruth's Chris (never mind those so-called Kobe Beef sliders--an embarrassment). I agree with other reviewers; we too have been to other locations and enjoyed ourselves, but Seattle is just not up to par. The fact that we were there for HH specials and not paying full price is no excuse.

First off, this is a favorite walkable-to happy hour place in Seattle, as considering what their menu typically offers from a quality and price perspective, it's super reasonable and the staff is amazingly attentive in the bar -- and the dining room. All the core steakhouse (or Ruth's Chris-specific) offerings you're looking for are available, and the restaurant is quietly consistent. A solid neighborhood choice if you're downtown.

This was my first experience at a Ruth's Chris and I'm such a fan now. In fact, after having such a delightful and buttery piece of meat, I've been craving it on a daily basis and have made it a point to continue eating only high quality beef. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and the staff treated us very well and even tossed in some free champagne for a toast to begin our meal. We had the petite filet, ribeye, garlic mashed, and roasted veggies which were all fabulous. When it came time for dessert, we noticed a fruit and custard dessert on a special menu which our waiter happily gave to us for free since it normally couldn't be ordered a la cart. Our only complaint would be our table which was way too close to the servers prep area. For our first trip to a Ruth's Chris, it was definitely a success and recommended.

I love it here! The ribeye was soo good. I got mine blackened with peppercorn cooked between medium rare/medium. You have to get that peppercorn/wine sauce. I forgot what it's called. Dip your steak in there with a little bit of raw horseradish and it is da BOMB! If i continue to eat here I'll become spoiled and FAT! I need to stay away... but this place makes my mouth watah! Definately can't afford to come here in a long while. haha...

when did hh here get so boring???? i've been before and remember it being delicious, although this was a few years ago. i never bother coming for their regular menu bc seattle has way better steakhouses than ruth's chris if you're willing to drop that kind of money. their steak itself oozes oil and butter, gross. my heart hurts just thinking of it. maybe i'm biased? i'm not a huge fan of chains in general... this just made my list of do not returns.

Poor management. We made our reservation and arrived on time, we had wait 25 minutes before we get seated. After we ordered, waited an hour, our waiter has accidentally brought the main courses out before the appetizers. Food - soso Service - poor

Amazing find if you like great quality bar food. $5.00 prime rib sliders, and the same price for Ahi. The only happy hour beer is bid light. It is worth paying full price for the local brew Choppers. Slighty hoppy dark amber beer.

I love steak and think I make a great one at home, but it is nice to go and enjoy a perfectly cooked tasty Steak out sometimes and I have never been let down at Ruth Chris. Ruth Chris is a great place for a steak at lunch. They have a new york special at lunch that is amazing.

First and second experiences - happy hour. Kick a$$ happy hour at that. Great beverage specials and food deals. Great, lively setting with natural light so you don't feel buried in the depths of a dark clubby steakhouse. My most recent glass of wine was during one heck of a busy time, but the server was amazingly great and still made us feel important, findng us a cozy spot to settle in to. Then.... dinner. Now, I should firstly note - they did a great job for a large group we had in the private room. However, our experience upstairs was a bit different. And, there is no mistaking. They certainly know how to serve an excellent steak and the fixins. My biggest complaint is that on a Friday night they did not have a sommelier on hand as he worked the early shift that day... the manager who tried to assist was frankly a bit condescending and really did not assist in finding a good wine. Sheesh. It is not like I was looking to pay $20 for a bottle. They have a substantial list, but........ the ones we liked were ones I selected and were a bit above our range. I was looking for some assistance in picking something a bit more unique.... c'est la vie. Damn good steak!

Um, no thanks. No flavor and outlandish prices for each and every add-on and side dish. So, basically you get a plain steak with absolutely no taste and not one side for anywhere from $15-$25. Onions? Mushrooms? French Fries? Mashed Potatoes? Teeny tiny side salad? Teeny tiny side of vegetables? Mmm that will cost you. I do not see how this restaurant survives in an area like the Pacific Northwest with literally hundreds of amazing and unique restaurants.

I haven't eaten here in a while, but it's by far one of my favorite restaurants. Sure it's expensive but if you can afford to eat here then I highly recommend it. We've always had great service and out of this world food. Great atmosphere, great food, great service, eat here and you won't regret it.

This place is great. We have taken the family here on several occasions and it's always been a nice dining experience. The service is great and the food has always been delicious. I always order the filet and shrimp and it is mouth watering good! Side dishes are always excellent with HUGE portions. The salads are quite tasty as well. We've always spent a pretty big chunk of change here and it's been worth it every time.

My review is for the breakfast they serve here. We were in Seattle for a long weekend to attend a wedding. As we were staying at the Grand Hyatt, we had breakfast here twice. It was excellent. I love having fresh squeezed orange juice, squeezed per order. My eggs were also perfectly cooked. Highly recommended for breakfast.

Went in for a Christmas dinner with my partner. I had the filet mignon and it was incredible. Cooked exactly to my liking, and if you can, ask for a side of Bernaise sauce with your steak. It's incredible, and our server didn't hesitate to bring it out after I requested it. We made a reservation on this site, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We will definitely go back, and might even change from our usual Valentine's Day spot, to Ruth's Chris. It was that good. Thanks guys!

I am so glad I got to sit in the booth next to the kitchen area. I think it was the best seat in the whole restaurant. Other seats in the restaurant are too dark, I can hardly see my food otherwise. I guess Ruth's Chris want to target or cater to the older generations who like "personal services," which I dislike. I think our server was great and was trying so hard. He was super friendly insisting on knowing everyone's first names at my table and eavesdrop while we decide what to order.... he paid us a great deal of attention. It was well intended, but sort of unpleasant for us. I think my dinner experience would be much nicer if the service isn't so personal. Anyhow, I think most people will think the service I received was excellent though! I very much enjoy the food at Ruth's Chris, I would eat here again.

Located off the lobby of Grand Hyatt Seattle, they do a good breakfast even though this is a steak house. And what might a steak house do very well? The Classics. I had the egg whites scrambled with bacon and fruit on the side. Everything was as it should be: fresh, hot and flavorful. Now you might just think that breakfast was enough for me - but NO! Wait there's more. Also have had lunch here and it was a great portobello and tenderloin salad. Everything was grilled and neatly presented. This was more than just an average salad - this was like dinner. Too bad you really can't eat much at meals for work. I got too much yapping to do. But I have also have had happy hour here. A great $5 menu for cocktails and small plates. A def good decision if you are in the hotel for business or at the nearby convention center.

I love Steak !!!!! that said WTF ? is the idea of a place with Steak right in its name selling such a flavorless Steak ? I mean come on now I dropped a $120 here and the steak was bland not just bland but all you could taste was the butter it came out sizzling in I really wanted to like it I truly did I have had better tasting steak at 1/4th of this price come on guys you want our business or what ? OK got that off my chest the rest of the meal was great the Veggies were lightly steamed so still crunchy just how i like them the Staff was wonderful and right on it I had a great dinning experience as I wont let one part of my meal ruin my night I may come in another time and try something else but it sure won't be Steak

My restaurant of choice for the holidays and special events. The same great service and food every time. I, personally, always go with the New York. I've tried getting some other things on the menu but I'm never as satisfied. Although the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus are a couple of my favorites as well. There are obviously a bunch of other great steak houses. They all serve the top cuts of beef money can buy but I think it just comes down to how you like your steak prepared. I have a strong preference to a nice juicy steak coming out on a sizzling hot plate; then complimented with tasty garlic vegetables as well as fresh asparagus served with a rich Hollandaise sauce. Yum Yum! I honestly can't remember ever having dessert there since I'm usually stuffed by the time I'm done with the main course but I'm guessing they have some great desserts as well. They also have a fairly extensive wine list which is typical of most top end steak houses. I've been to about 7 different Ruth's Chris Steak houses around the world, mainly domestic. I've even been to the one in Taipei and I have to say they're pretty consistent across the board. Between the two here in Seattle, I have minor preference to the one in downtown mainly due to the layout although it is easier to find parking at the Bellevue location. I guess it's also worth mentioning that they have a great happy hour. I really like their Kobe beef sliders.

This review is only for happy Hour. It's nice that there's one white/one red wine that only cost $3.95, but choosing to make that one white a chardonnay just ruined it for me. And the one beer available at HH is Budweiser??? UGH. Sadly, even at full price, the beer menu was tiny (I'd expect such choices in a little rural out-of-state airport, but at a nice restaurant in Seattle, NO). The shrimp were large, and had nice texture, but lacked flavor. They were supposed to be BBQ'd shrimp, but these were more like a Thai style dish. I also tasted the tuna, which I did not care for, but my friend thought was excellent. But in my opinion, the prime rib sliders were the tastiest, most tender little burgers I've ever bitten into. Granted, they should be good at $3 apiece for something so tiny, but I'm craving one right now. I must give the staff five stars for decent service, and I liked that they overlapped and covered for one another. Seriously, five stars for the prime rib sliders and the service, and one or two for everything else.

For being a pricey, chain restaurant Ruth's Chris makes a pretty good steak. My father-in-law makes the best filet mignon ever, so Hubby and I don't order steak out often. We went here for Hubby's birthday because we had heard wonderful things about it. We both got steak (I don't remember what kind) and we were both very happy with our meals. I will continue to come here for special occasions, if we don't find some other place we would rather go.

This Ruth's Chris is inside of our hotel - the hotel was awesome, but the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The food, overpriced. The service, not so great - a bit slow and paid no attention to details. The decor was nice... at least. There are many great options in downtown Seattle, so only go here if you are physically constrained to your hotel with an ankle monitor.

Came here for a birthday party. I would say that my food was very tasty! My girlfriend and I chose the summer celebration ($89 for two three course meals) I had the caesar salad, which was OK, not the best; I had the mixed grill (Roasted Chicken, Steak, and Crabcakes); Side of mashed potatoes, which were scrumptious; Fresh broccoli and sorbet for dessert. Everything was very tasty. Overall, I would say come here if you want a good steak, but expect steak prices :)

A group of six women came to the Seattle location on a Sunday night around 7:30. There was nobody in the bar and the dining room looked to be around 20% full. We went to the bar but decided we might want to sit in the dining room as we saw a large table (right next to the kitchen-so hardly a hot spot for dinners). A server approached us in the bar and we told her we would wanted appetizers and drinks. She said we could sit at that table in the dining room. She went to the hostess desk, presumably to get the hostess to seat us. Then the hostess came and asked us, very patronizingly, if we were going to eat an entree if we sat in the dining room. We explained again, that we hadn't even seen the menu but guessed we would like appetizers and drinks but we hungry. She said we could not sit in the dining room as we must have a full dinner to do that. Then she walked away-no apologies. We were very frustrated but decided to just sit in the bar. Then the original server came back, told us the hostess should not have done that and we could sit at that table. By now, our fun girls night out was not so fun! We just wanted drinks and some fun chat time! Then we waited another five minutes to be escorted to the table. Nobody came so we sat ourselves. Once there, we were were greeted by a super fun and friendly server who explained that he could us started with drinks but he wasn't our server. Too bad because our server did come shortly and told us we could not get the sliders (which we were all craving) as they were from the bar menu. We explained the situation and he went off to see if he could get those for us. He came back and explained that they would make an exception for us. We finally ordered and started to enjoy our girls night out, discussing the merits of Breaking Dawn Part 2. We are Twilight moms out on the town and have seen each movie and then gone out after. The food arrived, the chop salads look like they had been just thrown on the plate. Three of them were a disaster and only one looked decently plated. We waited and asked repeatedly where our brussel sprouts were and were told they had forgotten about them. When it came time to pay the bill, the presentation of six credit cards appeared to put our server over the edge. We gave him the cards, he left with them, came back with six receipts to review and then asked for the cards back as he hadn't run them. Then he came back again with our cards and receipts for signature. At this point, there was such general anger at our whole experience that he is lucky he got any gratuity at all. A few of us felt guilty about stiffing him but I'm not sure that guilt was shared by everybody. What dreadful service and what an attitude. Appetizers and two drinks still comes to at least $40/person which is better than nothing on a dead night. We were not roudy young party gals who came in looking like we would split one salad and be loud and obnoxious. We are all people who dine out often and middle aged women who surely could pay to go to this place and pay $50 for a steak but I can guess not one of us will return ever. And probably will tell many people about this experience to save them having the same thing happen to them.

I had the worst experience here! My friends and business collegues were having drinks and appetizers, spent over $500 in an evening here, were having fun (not drunk at all!) and the management team interpreted our laughing and "fun" as having too much - so they cut us off - just like that with no warning or polite conversation! I was SO embarresed and disappointed in this fine establishment (I've ...never in my whole life had this happen - so this was a big shock to me considering it was UNTRUE!). I politely asked the Manager Lane what was up, and he didnt even care. I will never go back and I would warn everyone NOT to go there for drinks or dinner. They need sensitivity training on how to serve their clients, and how to truly recognize the differences between having "fun" and having too much!

We have dined at Ruth's in Portland but this was our first experience in Seattle. The wait staff was extremely pleasant, however forgot to remove the champagne toast that he offered to us so we ended up paying for it. He also over sold us on sides (convinced us to purchase their meal deal) instead of letting us order the sides we wished for. Ended up costing us a few bucks extra, in turn earning him extra tip. Great good, great location, great establishment but spendy.

This is the third Ruth's Chris steak house that I have been to, the other two being in southern California. You definitely know what you are getting into when you step into a Ruth's Chris. To be honest I haven't been to any of the other steak places located in Seattle, but I've been to enough places around the world to where I think I can call myself a steak lover. This night started at 7pm where I went to the bar and took a seat. The place while not totally crowded was about half way filled. I actually sat at one of the small, tall tables in the bar area but not attached to the bar at first and moved in on a bar seat once a couple had left. The bartender was quick to have it cleaned before I sat down. My night started out with one of their custom cosmo's which was done pretty well. I switched over to Kettle and tonic for the rest my dinner. Since I was alone, I decided to forgo the wine. My one complaint with all these new chef's is their affinity for asian fusion. I ordered the seared ahi with a salted crust and wasabe sauce. The ahi was seared well, but the salt made it taste like you were licking the ocean. Needless to say that I only had a couple of bites of that. I definitely should have gone with the oysters. You really can't mess up oysters on the half shell. My dinner consisted of a house salad served with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I love vinaigrette and this was tasted good. I then got a 8 oz fillet Mignon which was cooked rare and came sizzling on the plate. I think the greatest thing about Ruth's Chris pass their consistency at every restaurant is the fact that the steak comes out in hot, sizzling butter. It just makes the steak taste that much better. I had the mashed potatoes for my side which were good, but not great. For dessert I got some chocolate thing which I don't know the name of, but was good. I really think you get what you pay for when you go to Ruth's Chris. While there were some minor hiccups, there isn't anything really bad to make this place less than what it states to be. I look forward to coming back here, just not ordering any ahi.

I must admit, I am a bit of a Happy Hour Whore - I do love them and frequent them as often as I can. Recently I had a conversation with one of my best friends and we came to the amazing conclusion that we eat at the Bar in most of the restaurants we go to, separately or together. Well, last Sunday was no exception while at Ruth's Chris. I had been there before as it is a perfect location to get a drink before or after (well ok, before AND after) a show at The Paramount. We went in and had a drink before and then went to have a drink after Mamma Mia last weekend. The drinks are great and they make a great Kamikaze. On the trip after, we enjoyed the happy hour of $7 Reubens and Kobe burgers. They were great. Small, but perfect to get a couple and share among friends. The Reuben was one of the best I had had, flavorful and lean. The atmosphere is great and it doesn't look like every other RC in the chain. Was a nice surprise to discover the happy hour on a Sunday night! Great Pit Stop!

the concierge at the the Grand Hyatt gladly made reservations for me and a friend. impeccable service at this restaurant. they greet you when you first enter and offer you/ask if you would like a beverage. appetizers were so delicious. the crab cakes were so good. ordered a steak meal. it's perfectly seasoned. ordered it medium and it came out perfect. my friend on the other hand had to return hers to be cooked more. the steak came back out perfect. the manager came out and asked if everything was good. gotta love that kind of service. the dessert was so so, but still good. my friend and i were so full that night that we had left overs. i would love to go to this Ruth Chris again when i visit Seattle again.

Like I said in a previous post I hate to give bad reviews but I can't let this one go. I went here to meet up with an old friend I haven't seen in quite a while. To my dismay the happy hours aren't the same for the Seattle and Bellevue locations. I made the mistake of assuming the same restaurant but different locations less than 10 miles away from each other would have the same happy hour menu. We almost walked out because we didn't like anything on the menu but unfortunately we stayed. We ordered the prime rib sliders, bbq shrimp, pizza and the ahi tuna. The sliders were ok at best but when I ordered another plate of them. They came out very very rare. It gave my friend bubble guts later on that night. The server saw what happened and he brought out a very nice batch. The last batch was the best.since they tried to cover up for the mistake. There's no other way of describing the pizza than just a sheer rip off. It was basically a cracker with a sprinkle of cheese and a half of a miniature tomato. I felt so bad for my friend that I apologized to him multiple times. The ahi tuna just wasn't for me. I think someone else would have loved it. The only item that was actually ok was the shrimp. I go to the Bellevue Ruth's Chris for Happy Hour all the time and it's great. Their happy hour not only has more items but just a more well thought out selection that most people would enjoy.

I like this place I think the prices are in par with other Steak houses if your going to a nice restaurant, there should be no surprises on how much it's going to cost. The only 2 steak places we eat at are here and El Gaucho and I think both are great. I don't really care for Daniels Broiler I actually don't really like any of their restaurants as we have been to a few. I think the service is good, we have never had an issue and YES we always make a reservation. That's how it works if you have a reservation you get seated first, that is the same at any place you go to. The food is good the desserts are tasty, and they do take out f you don't want to dine in.

I live in Bellevue but I go to the Ruth Chris in Seattle because they are the only location that serves "prime rib" sliders. If you haven't had them you should... they are the best! I am not writing a review about the food but rather the service. I was with friends and we were at the bar. It wasn't horribly crowded so there was no reason to have poor service (crowded or not they should always have great service for a 5 star steak house). We started with D2 (expensive wine) and several appetizers. We had to flag the waitress down to order our food, to get water refills to order additional drinks. I can see if there is an oversight once but we should never ask to be waited on repeatedly. The waitress was snobby and didn't apologize for the lack of service. I then called over the manager. He apologized but did nothing to make it right. It would have been nice to have an appetizer comped or something. This is one of my favorite places and I am hesitant to go back in fear of the same experience. I wish the Bellevue location had the "prime rib" sliders then I wouldn't have to worry about Seattle's poor customer service! Great food + great customer service = repeat business. You can't have one with out the other! Oh and they don't validate unless you are a hotel guest. I am not cheap but I paid the toll for 520 and then had to pay for parking even though our tab was over $300.

Ruth's Chris makes excellent steak! We were out to see the Lion King, and made a special request for table 57. It is a nice place to sit, as you are overlooking the below dinning room. The food was wonderful. Our waiter that evening could have been a little better as he was not to be found very often and the drinks were very slow in getting out and ordered. The food is wonderful, but we think I will stick to the Bellevue location as we live closer to there. We probably won't go to the downtown location again as there are so many better restaurants in the downtown area.

***UPDATE*** NOOOOOOOOOO! They just totally ruined my life! As of this week, RC has changed... FOR THE WORSE. Drink specials are $5 for vodka cocktails and $6 for martinis. Now all the HH apps are $7 for tiny portions. That's not a good deal for anywhere. Sorry, RC, but I think our love affair is over... god I can just feel my heart breaking as I write this... *** OLD REVIEW (PAINFUL MEMORIES) *** In general, this restaurant is a little too bland and pricy for my taste... BUT! Five stars purely for the amazing Happy Hour! (Monday-Saturday late night 9-11pm, or 9-10pm Sundays.) Breaking news. Did you know they raised the prices on their HH drinks? Sad but true. My friend and I did it up at Ruth's Chris last night and now the cocktails are $3.75 instead of the $2.75 they were in the past. But it's still an awesome deal. I went 1998-style and had a cosmopolitan (I feel really cliche and "omg I love Sex and the City!" when I order cosmos, but for $3.75 come on) and my friend had a Manhattan. Then we moved on to a couple classic martinis... four nice cocktails for under $15 at a fancy restaurant downtown, you really can't beat that action. You're saving yourself like $7 a drink, usually their cocktails are like $10-12. Their HH menu is also pretty sweet. My favorite selection is the mini steakburgers, which I enjoy slathering with horseradish aioli. Their seared tuna is also tasty, really gingery and peppery. I think our bill came to around $30 last night, and for four cocktails and three apps, that's crazy. Especially considering the fact that it's freaking Ruth's Chris!!

Normally, I stay away from reviewing chain restaurants... still I felt a need to review Ruth's Chris. I've been to several, but the only one I really want to review is the one in Seattle... The food, what can you say? It's very good. The steaks are always really tasty. Yes, they are drenched in butter, sure, but the point is to taste good, and they do. I really can't add too much about the food because they tend to have really great prime beef and sides that are yummy as well... What I really wanted to say, more than anything, I suppose is that I used to go here once or twice a week. I used to always have greasy hair and be wearing ripped jeans and a t-shirt and you know what, in Seattle, they just go, "whatever" and let you in. I always got excellent service and after a while all the people that worked there really became quite friendly with me. Is it my fault that a punk-rocker likes Ruth's Chris? No. They didn't ever make me feel second class... they were always accommodating and warm and that's what's wonderful about Seattle. It was embodied in my experiences at Ruth's Chris. And the food is really, really, quite good. I don't go as often as I might just because I like to support my local places here in Dallas... but when I'm in the mood... I hit the T-Bone, Creamed Spinach and Key Lime Pie for dessert with some decaf coffee. A meal really doesn't get much better.

Amazing food Happy Hour! 4-6pm and then again 9-11p. I'm a huge fan of the Prime rib sliders!!! They are so, so tender! 2 for $5. Its a great deal for how good they are. In addition, they have flat-bread, seared tuna plate, and BBQ shrimp skewers. All very good!

Ruth's Chris has one of the best steaks around. It had been a while since I had been to one so when I was in Seattle I decided to try it again. No regrets, this is a great meal. Dustin, our server was very attentive and nice, providing great detail and information on our options. The filet was cooked perfectly. I might stay at the Grand Hyatt next time just to be closer to this restaurant!

Quite frankly would never have come here if it wasn't for a gift certificate, especially after all the mixed reviews and mostly bad ones if not for happy hour. Expensive if you order off most of the menu, better if you stick with the classic menu. Unable or unwilling to accommodate allergies, just brought veggies steamed, no olive oil or garlic with beans as it sounds like food prepped already with butter which we can't eat. Also clearly ordered ribeye and filet Medium-Medium Rare without butter and brought out WITH butter on top. Server said "just a little" but we can't have any. Brought back steaks two minutes later and tried to say a quick sear eliminated all butter remnants and a nice covering of parsley was supposed to hide the rest???...but we know better. When asked a final time about the butter our head waiter took them away and brought new ones less than 10 minutes later. Wonder who's order he stole.

I rated this facility 4 stars only from a happy hour point of view. They have a great happy hour menu and reasonable prices. I always order the Ahi Tuna w/ mustard (GREAT DEAL, around 8 pieces), sliders (mini burgers) and/or ceasar salad. I also add, on average, two glasses of wine and never leave spending more than $25. I always leave tipsy and with a full stomach! To me, that makes a great happy hour!

SO we read the reviews on yelp... They looked promising.. So we decided to try out the late night happy hour... We were completely satisfied... We got there around 9pm. It was a Friday night. It was crowded. We found two seats at the bar... We ordered everything on the happy hour bar menu. We suggest getting the steak sandwich and the crabtini.. My wife really liked the tuna, but I thought it was a little too spicy.. They have a wide selection of happy hour drinks.. The bartenders were great.. Very helpful, quick, and on top of things... We also ordered a dessert.. Perfect ending.. We would go back...

OK I'm over it. I've been there dozens of times. it is always great. good to great wines perfect food most of the time. My problem is I like to see my food . They mistake creating a "MOOD" for turning off the lights.

For years I have heard from my friends that Ruth's Chris Steak House is amazing, so when I had the chance to check it out, I jumped at the chance. We arrived around 8PM on a Friday night, which meant we had some time to kill before a table was ready, so we decided to grab a drink and some appetizers in the bar. We ordered the steak sandwiches and the bbq shrimp orleans. Both were fantastic especially the bbq shrimp orleans. So a nice start to the meal and we were then off to our table. At this point, it started going downhill a bit though. We all decided upon our meals, two rib eyes, a strip, a au gratin potatoes and asparagus. The waiter recommended that we get our rib eyes at least medium since he said that this would bring out the flavor in the meat from the rich marbling. I figured he knew best so we went along. So now to the meal, it was good not great. Maybe my expectations were too high, but it was just ok in most ways. The meat was tasty, but nothing special. Personally, I would prefer going to El Gaucho any night. The meat was cooked far beyond medium and the sides were just decent too. Service was ok as well, our water was not very attentive. Overall, I'm not that impressed. I debated between three and four stars with the only reason that I would bump it up to four being the appetizers and the ambiance. So I guess I might go back for appetizers and a drink, but not for dinner. Maybe it was just an off not, hopefully.

My hubby and I went here for the late night happy hour (9-11). There were yummy appetizers to be had, but it was a bit difficult finding what drinks were on special. The waitstaff was attentive, although we took our time. Now, I had intended to go here with the purpose of becoming A Bit Tipsy. I started with a malibu and coke, but alas, the bartender only had enough for one. I decided to turn my eyes towards food while I picked out another drink. I had a two mini prime rib sandwiches with horseradish aioli. They were yummy, indeed but they sat heavily in my tummy, and there was no more drinking for more. Overall a good place for a quiet conversation and a decent happy hour, just beware what you order...

Unbelievable happy hour deals. 2 people with 2 drinks a piece and 3 shared appetizers, got out of there for under $35 after tip? Talk about a place to keep going back to. Food was great and the service was friendly and attentive.

If I am charged $80 for lunch, I expect something fantastic. I received a tiny steak with four shrimp on it and not a single side. Just a large plate with a tiny steak. Thank goodness they served bread and my friend gave me some of her salad. Come on! A well cooked steak isn't that hard to find in town. I felt ripped off. The carpet is dirty and torn.

Ruth's Chris is an enigma - a great steak chain restaurant that can also be found in a mall. It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Nothing on the menu is cutting edge - you won't find any fusion cooking here. What you will find is an excellent steak, some superb seafood, and some really amazing vegetables. Ruth's Chris is the type of place where stockbrokers and beautiful people with lots of money to spend with little imagination tend to love. That isn't to say that its bad. The food is superbly created and the steaks are aged to perfection. The service is outstanding and the wine list is formidable. I think I prefer my food to be a little less stuffy and a little more creative - even if the Seattle location just might offer the best steak in town.

Not the first Ruth's Chris I've been to but what was great was that my fiance and I were staying right across the street at the Paramount Hotel while in town! Great NY cut like usual, wine flight was perfect, and the service was spot on. We a great conversation about what Seattle had to offer with our servers. If I ever made it out to this dreary weathered city I'd come here again.

Went here last night for happy hour, and what great deals! I still managed to rack up a 60 dollar bill between me and my date, but the food was excellent (the prime rib sliders with horseradish sauce are excellent! As is the roumelade on the shrimps), and the lemon drops were yummy. Our service could have been a bit better considering how many drinks we were ordering, but it wasn't bad or anything. Happy Hour is so worth it!

Been here a few times now and realized how i've not reviewed this place til now! I order the rib eye medium rare and it comes out piping hot, sizzling in butter, whats not to love. VERY high quality steak... perfectly cooked and they mean business... if its not perfect, theyll make it perfect. i like the potato gratin i think as my fave side... with mushrooms. Service is always good here... and its a beautiful restaurant... very elegant and you feel you are getting your moneys worth. The Seattle location is 10 times better than the Bellevue one for ambiance and service. Horrid service at the bellevue one i felt. Man I love steak and the Seattle Ruth's Chris does it for me every time.

I love their Happy Hour!!! It's a great thing to do to sample their menu at an affordable price. Their $3 cosmos are just too good! They taste awesome and are so cheap. I have always been satisfied with their polite, attentive, and friendly staff. I love their seared ahi tuna, and crabtini--real dungeness crab, and the melts-in-your-mouth steak sandwich--are just heavenly! The foods are around $5--so good price for top quality food! I tried the Bellevue Happy Hour, and they have a better selection, but the Seattle one tastes better.

This is a review of Ruth's Chris happy hour. 4-6 PM and 9-11 PM Weekdays. Not sure about their weekend happy hours. Okay...so once upon a time I thought Ruth's Chris was only a hangout for lawyers and stockbrokers...and other "professionals" of the dress-to-be-herd (sic) mentality. But some friends told me about RC's incredible happy hour---which includes a yummy 1/2 priced bar menu (you must try the tiny, tasty mini steak sandwiches) not to mention the $2.75 cocktails, beer and wine. The food on the bar menu is so good I've actually thought about having dinner at Ruth's...Not! So if you're paying your lawyer or stockbroker through the nose, this is where you go to catch up on your losses...or drown your sorrows...or induce a value-priced meat coma.

How can you not love a place where the bartender will create a drink that you and your girlfriends just made up on the spot to go well with the weather? It was the night of the impending "giant" storm in January, and we were enjoying each other's company (and the company of some martinis), and dying laughing about how the city was already abandoned in anticipation of the "POLAR INVASION" (cue Jaws music). But then we started thinking, that could be a great martini.... and it would be white, vodka-y, mint-y, and chocolate-y. We said so to our bartender and he made a round of Grey Goosed, Rumpleminzed, Godiva'd "Polar Invasions" for us. They were damn good, and he was damn good for charging us only $3 (the happy hour price for standard martinis) for these high end lovelies. In addition to fabulous, creative service and $3 martinis, you get a happy hour food menu with things like crab cocktail for $5. If you are about to go see something at the Paramount, you should definitely make Ruth's Chris your first stop. Edited to say: please note, the martini's are $2.75, not $3.

First of all, the waitress Cassidy was sweet, no complaints about service. It was the actual quality of food that was completely disappointing to say the least. I don't normally eat at chains because they normally have terrible food. But we had a $50 gift certificate I thought would cover most of our dinner. Until I opened the menu and saw to my horror the inflated prices. The menu boasts about the "mid western beef" that is cooked at 1800 degrees so you can "really taste the corn-fed flavor"..... .... ... WHAT? Anyone that knows a lick about food or the food industry knows corn fed mid western beef = the CHEAPEST beef available. But this is lost to most people, who think if it's $50 it must be worth it. Please don't be fooled by this grotesque restaurant and their insane prices. We had two sides as well (which cost extra and do not come with your meal). Some mushy over cooked asparagus, and some mashed potatoes that could have come from a box for all I know. My boyfriend received some of the worst salmon I have ever tasted as well. It was dry, overcooked and flavorless. This place was so bad, and so expensive that I was moved to write my first yelp review ever. To be blunt... this place SUCKS. One star... zero if that was an option.

I'll readily admit I'm a self-depricating, indulgent, non-yuppie-yuppie and I hate snooty places like Ruth's Chris. But.. but.. you can't beat their happy hour! Perfectly timed so I miss it almost every time because I'm lowly slave labor indentured to the man pretending to be working until my boss leaves. You can't beat menu items like the bacon-wrapped tenderloin for $5! If you can bear the pretentious settings and holier-than-thou bartenders, a gourmet dinner can be yours for under $15.

so i'm in the seattle area for the holidays. i get one day in seattle with an old flame before i settle in with the family in the tacoma area. i map out all the foodie joints i want to hit in a brief 24 hour timespan. sadly, the weather grounds me to a restaurant across the street from my hotel - Ruth Chrs. well, i've hit rc in several other cities. i've always found the places to be a little pricey for what you get - this outpost is no exception. But you know, the restaurant has a decent look to it, the service was excellent and i liked the asparagus so i'll kick this place up a notch and the company was TOP NOTCH !

welcome back, cheap happy hour! $5 apps (bbq shrimp, flatbread pizza, ahi tuna, kobe sliders) and $3 wells, and $4 cosmos, apple tinis, manhattans, etc. don't sit near the windows in the upstairs lounge in winter. it's chilly.

All right, I'm on a quest to find good lobster bisque in this state. If Alaska has it (and I'm convinced the best lobster bisque EVER is found at the Crow's Nest in the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage), surely Washington can come up with something comparable. Well, not that Ruth's Chris is really /Washington/, but you know what I mean. Anyway, the lobster bisque at Ruth's Chris was not that good, IMO. If you are a lobster bisque freak like me you'll agree; if not, you'll probably think it's pretty tasty. I thought it was too thick and salty. I'm a salty girl but not when it comes to bisque. I have to say, foodwise, I was just not blown away. The steak was pretty good. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. But nothing that made me go, 'Aye, papi!', which is my general exclamation when I'm impressed with something. It tasted like any good cut of meat that wasn't cooked to a crisp. The service was excellent. Attentive and nice. Though at the hostess station this total dickbag walked over from the bar and totally cut in front of me and two other women and monopolized the hostess for a couple minutes going on about some large 'party' that would be meeting him later. Apparently it was much more important than the others' and my need and right to be attended to first, as we were there first and obviously wanted to get some fucking steak NOW, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Though, back when *I* was a hostess, I handed people's asses to them all the time if they insisted on being dickbags, because hey, *I* was in charge. Screw that 'the customer's always right' thing, that's rubbish, I'M ALWAYS RIGHT. Anyway, good food, but nothing special, and excellent service. A little pricey, I thought. Unfortunately, I didn't hear much of the music so I couldn't ascertain if they had any Lou Reed going, but I kind of doubt that they did.

It's rather hard to beat USDA Prime beef on a hot platter of sizzling butter. So I'm not going to bore you with all the details of how much I loved my medium rare filet mignon oscar... I will however mention something I haven't seen anyone else talk about! The banana cream pie for dessert is out of this world!! One of the best desserts ever. It's light, perfect after a big meal. Carmelized sugar-coated banana slices on top of fluffy whipped cream and a delicate pastry shell. It pairs divinely with the Ch. Suduiraut Sauternes I managed 2 glasses of while finishing it off. Service was good, but not terribly interesting. Probably for the best as we were a group of 11 and more interested in our own conversations than witty banter with our waiter.

Best happy hour downtown, hands down. The appetizers are all $5 (two of them and I'm stuffed) and the house wines are $3. The prime rib sliders are deeeelish! (As for the steakhouse qua steakhouse: eh, it's fine.)

This restaurant was attached the Hyatt which was the hotel we so happen to stay at. I ordered a $40 filet and it was at BEST average. I ordered some chianti wine that went wonderfully with it. My friend ordered Lamb Chops which was delicious! If It weren't for her dish I would've rated this restaurant a 3. I also ate there for breakfast and it wasn't anything special, don't waste your money and go to Denny's.

To be fair...I won't talk about the service because they were extremely busy (prom night, Riverdance at the Paramount and U2 concert). I will talk about the food though...it was HEAVENLY!!!!! I ordered a boneless rib-eye that was HUGE, juicy and tender, my one Niece ordered the steak and shrimp, the other Niece ordered a petite sirloin and my Sis in-law ordered a Caesar salad (really??!!! we go to one of the best steak houses in Seattle and you order a salad?? sheesh...LOL). We also got the shoestring potatoes and a side of asparagus. The girls both said their steaks were excellent and cooked to their specifications, the potatoes were crispy and had a yummy seasoning on them and there were 'tons' of them (enough for all 4 of us - yes...Ms. "I'll have a salad" ate the fries too). I didn't have the asparagus - but the girls said it was very good. We had a lot of fun - even took home leftovers!! I would love to go back on an evening when they are not crazy busy...then I could be fair about the service. (and might even change my rating to 5 stars!)

I got the pleasure to go to Ruth's Chris on a date with a guy who knew I had no interest in him. We went just to have a good time and an excuse to have amazing food. No pressure to hang out later just because he bought me a steak and wine. I got the steak topped with Gorgonzola cheese! I love cheese and it just adds to the heart attack already presented on my plate. But it is so delicious! All their sides were great too and I wish I could have tried them all, but I was satisfied with the beans and the other tables fries looked amazing too. Wine was great and they have a good variety. Everyone knows that this is a chain and an expensive place. But it is beautiful inside, the service is great, and I like that they put confetti on the table for special occasions for guests. And we were late because of traffic and it worked out just fine.

In the past when I wanted an expensive Steak House it would've been El Gaucho so I was shocked at how wonderful Ruth Chris' Happy Hour was! Cost effective @ $3.50 select Appetizers, Drinks & Wines. Possibly one of the best deals in town based on price, taste, location & service.

I've never been to a restaurant where the waiter insisted on finding out your first name so he can address you properly for the entire evening. Personally, I'm not quite comfortable with that level of familiarity. SERVICE Excellent. My group did not have a reservation, but the hostess was kind enough to find us a table despite it being almost a full house. Our waiter was kind and attentive. FOOD It's a steak house. They do steaks right. Nuff said. DECOR Classy. Plus, the two 12-foot mirrors they hung on the walls made the place look a whole lot bigger than it actually was. PRICE My group paid about $50/person. And we didn't even order drinks!

Ruth's Chris is to Applebee's as Red Lobster is to Sizzlers: serves practically the same kind and quality of food, but with a better looking interior decor and overly priced food. I have yet to try happy hour at Ruth's Chris, but considering how much the regular prices are and how NOT-SO-IMPRESSIVE the steaks and the Au Gratin have been the couple times I've been there...I'd rather go else where. I've had better steaks at MATADOR for less than $20! If you're going to pay high-end prices for quality steak...stick to upscale restaurants where the meat doesn't seem like it's been marinated in a pool of cooking oil...

DEFINITELY a fan of this place!!!! Dress better than Casual! Not so great for kids. I've been to this place twice and each time I was not disappointed. The food was great, the service was great. We had a great server and requested him the second time, with reservations, but for some reason we weren't able to get him once we showed up.. so I was pretty bummed. But this other server was great also, even gave us shots for our table of 4!! Great atmosphere! Definitely one of the best chain restaurants I've been to in a long time! I would go to Ruth Chris again and again..... if I was a millionaire! So I'll take twice a year until then!

This is the ultimate is red meat dining. An elegant, soft atmosphere, complete with velvety booths, a suave bar and happy, friendly staff. The food was delectable and worth every penny (a lot of pennies, but worth every one). The two of us had a unintentionally super strong drink at the bar before dinner that knocked us flat (will definitely return for those), as well as a steak each, potatoes au gratin and asparagus side dishes, and of course dessert, chocolate molten cake, which was wonderful. The server was so good I couldn't find a mistake or lack of sincerity anywhere! The meal came out to over $150 including parking and drinks, and that was going all out. Portions are well enough to share one steak between two people and the side dishes. If it's your anniversary or a special night requiring splurging, reserve a spot at Ruth's Chris, it's worth it.

Blah. Steak (ribeye) was ok at best. Ton of fat and tendons. I've never had a boneless ribeye that I couldn't eat the whole thing. I praise the cook that can take a crap cut like that and cook it med rare to perfection. Only 3/4 of it edible though. I asked for their hottest horseradish to come with it and it could've been confused with baby food. Service, like other reviews, sucked. Not one of the 4 guys that served us asked how anything was or if we needed anything the whole entire evening. If they would have, I guess I would have said the beer was excellent and left it at that. My womans lobster was comparable to a large crayfish. 3 bites of a tail and the rest was packed into its tiny shell. Not worth picking through. The wine menu was deceiving. Pricing was way too far away from the name and wasn't in any order. My woman thought she was getting an $8.50 glass of wine but accidentally ordered 2 $26.00 glasses. $52.00 of wine that tasted like her usual $8.00 BOTTLE. What a joke. The only tip I wanted to give the waiter, Neal, is that he could do a little more waiting and less walking around. Ask a few questions bud. Just sayin. $30 tip for 10 minutes work? I'm in the wrong business. Do NOT get your hopes up when you walk into this place and it looks like you'll have a wonderful evening. It is a nice looking place inside.

Ruth Chris Bellevue is 10 times better than Ruth Chris downtown.

Love going here for lunch during work in the office. Great staff (super efficient and nice) and great food. The burger is amazing when you're super hungry. The Lobster Bisque is perfect for a lighter lunch. never too crowded and always consistently great.

Went here for dinner on Mother's Day last weekend & had a great time! I made reservations for 4 & we were seated promptly. We got some warm bread & had cocktails to start. Then we ordered salads which were really yummy! Mine was a panzanella salad & my Mom & husband got the house salad, (the house salad was SO good! Really good & light dressing, lots of fresh veggies & yummy bacon bits), my Dad got the cesear salad which he loved. Then onto the steaks....my husband's prime rib was SOOOOO good! I couldn't stop stealing bits off his plate. I got the petit filet + grilled shrimp. The filet was excellent, could have been just a touch more pink though, (I'm such a carnivore!). The shrimp I didn't care for as they were way too spiced! Not hot spicy, but just way too seasoned, not sure about that but everything else was great. My dad got the salmon & loved it & my Mom got the lamb chops, they were perfection! I think I'll get that next time. The service was wonderful & very friendly and they even gave my Mom a $25 gc for next time. The whole experience was wonderful, obviously it's a pricy place so next time I think I'd do just happy hour, but for a nice occasion like Mom's day, it was excellent!

Very much lives up to its reputation. Delicious steak, terrific salads (suprisingly, a normally bland Ceasar was delicious here), and quite possibly the best cheesecake I've ever had. They're currently running a great 3 course meal for 2, for $89. Cheap? Nope. Worth every penny you spend on a satisfying meal? Yes.

Service = 5 stars Environment = 5 stars Value = 5 stars (I think they are running some specials right now due to economy) But I give them only 3 stars because the food wasn't very good. I think I paid about $40 for a rib eye steak which didn't taste as good as the ones I make at home. Maybe it was the quality of the meat or whatever they add to the meat. Good place to go if you are down to spend some $$$$$$ and are not picky about steaks. But if you are a steak lover who wants only the best, save your money.

Went here for a friend's birthday party...without ever experiencing the place prior to this event. First of all, someone must have had a bad night, because for the full 2 hours we were there, we could hear crashing in the kitchen. Should have taken that as a warning siren to leave. Our waiter was attentive, but unfortunately the food...for what we paid...was subpar at the best. I'm a pretty good cook, and if they can charge what they do, for what they produce....then I REALLY need to open a restaurant. There was nothing particularly special about the steak...and the sides...yeah...nothing to write home about. It seems like they just stick everything in that monstrously hot oven, slather it with butter and call it a day. I can think of a multitude of other places that i could have gone to, paid the same or less, and would have left with a full tummy and a smile on my face. Let's just say...if i'm invited to another event and that's the venue...i'll have to decline.

Oh how I love Ruth's Chris. I have eaten at Ruth's Chris in 6 different cities and they have all been pleasant experiences. The steak is so yummy and the service is always phenomenal. I do have to say (and I'm not being partial I swear!) that the service here was better than I have ever had at any RC location. Our "server extraordinaire" was Dee Ireland Lewis. He knew our names instantly and didn't forget them throughout the meal. That impresses me as it was a busy Saturday night. Anyways, I don't need to tell you that the steak and creme brulee is good because that should be common knowledge. But if it's good service you crave, head down here and see Dee.

About as base a meal as you can get. Ribeye was an Ok cut, but absolutely no flair in cooking, seasoning or presentation. Served as a slab of meat taking up the whole of a small oval 1970s dish with burning butter. Mushrooms were just as boring. Potato gratin was so drowned in cheese we didn't risk it. Wait staff were efficient, but not personal. I had way better french onion soup at Harborview The set meal is good value, but the standard is not there. Overall, this place is staid, boring, and not appealing.

If you're Howard Schultz, or Bill Gates, or Paul Allen, or live in a part of town with a palatial view of the Olympics, you'll love this place. I only love it when I have a $75 gift card, but I love it nevertheless! My boyfriend and I got the $89 moonlight dinner for two, with spectularly marbled tender filet mignon, perfectly cheesy au gratin potatoes, rich raspberry sorbet, 2 glasses of champagne, and even an on-the house cocktail. This place oozes class, and delivers. It is ridiculously expensive, as even with the gift card, it cost us $20 a person, but it was honestly the best steak I'[ve ever had. You want to chew each bite as slowly as possible to savor it. If I ever get a windfall from some long lost Baronness Aunt, I'd be here all the time and probably gain 20 pounds. Otherwise, I'll have to settle for gift cards!

Went for happy hour twice during our weekend in Seattle. Hard to beat the 1/2 priced bar menu (darling and tasty mini steak sandies) and the $2.75 cocktails, beer and wine. Can't be beat. I'm hoping the one in SF has the same deal. (Called last weekend and *sniff* they do not.) We also went for breakfast one morning as it was right across the street from our hotel (the one on Pine, in the Hyatt). I had the forager's mushroom omelette with goat cheese and chives. Now I am usually a thumbs down on the omelette type, but this one was amazing - fluffy, creamy eggs, savory blend of mushrooms, tangy goat cheese. Heaven for breakfast! And of course, in keeping with the steakhouse genre, the service was impeccible.

I love all Ruths Chris restaurants. I think the food is always 5 stars, but this location NEEDS IMPROVEMENT to be up to par with the other locations. Firstly, they dont offer the chains best dessert, the Caramelized Banana Cream Pie. Each location is allowed to pick and chose things from the overall menu, and they didnt choose this fantastic dessert. Secondly, the service was not up to the Ruths Chris standard. My steak was overcooked, I had to ask the waitress to bring me a cold plate so it wouldnt cook anymore and she did not so much as offer to replace the steak. I would have eaten it anyway, but Ruths Chris should ALWAYS offer to replace an overcooked steak, especially when the steak that was supposed to be RARE is slightly pink in the middle! My server was odd overall, she didnt seem the type to be working in a Ruths and was of no help in selecting my wine. Corporate needs to "shop" this location and see for themselves that it is not operating up to par with the chain!

We went to Ruth's Chris Steak House for their happy hour...what a GREAT Deal [considering it is Ruth's Chris]! We ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna, Barbecued Shrimp, and the Prime Rib Sliders. The Prime Rib Sliders were good, the Barbeque Shrimp was better, but the Seared Ahi Tuna was fantastic! It was so good we ordered another. The tuna is perfectly seared with a wonderful mixture of seasoning encrusted on the outside. But the key component to this dish is the sauce that is drizzled on the dish. The sauce is spicy yet flavorful. The cut of fish was great as well. When we ordered the second time we asked for additional sauce on the side. I don't mean to underplay the other dishes; the shrimp was very good as well as the prime rib sliders...but the next time I go back...I'm definitely ordering the tuna. We walked out of there at just over $50 [were had 3 appetizer dishes, and 3 well drinks]; not bad for Ruth's Chris.

We had exquisite service here when we went before our preview of Young Frankenstein. We were treated like royalty even though I only ordered the appetizer crabcakes and we shared Chris' turkey sand (hot and pressed - yum). Awesome fries (I'm drooling just thinking about them)! I'd love to go back some time but probably only would before the theater or something downtown. Plus, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Hyatt and thoroughly enjoy my little walk to the ladies' room!

Eaten here several times and find food good, especially the spinach and potatoes side dishes. I do not know what they do to make it taste so good but they taste better than other restaurants.

I think I may prefer the Bellevue location's happy hour (it's not the same). The steak was pretty good, too, but kind of expensive.

I frequent this place during happy hour when I have meetings in Seattle (just to kill time since I hate sitting in traffic). The happy hour menu at the bar is pretty good. Great atmosphere and service. The Prime Rib sliders are very tasty. I always order the seared ahi tuna and I think it's probably the best tuna I've had. Great place to kick back with a Heineken.
