I always have a good experience at this location, even at noon when the line is crazy long. I order catering for delivery & pick up, order ahead for takeout, or just show up sometimes. The lines move pretty quickly. Nicer to have a meeting here than Starbucks, and in the summer their outdoor area is awesome! As for the overtaking panera menu, the options to mix and match Sammys and salads are nice, and the new noodle bowls are super healthy and filling! I just stay away from the sweets. I'm not sure the price matches what you get, but it's still decently better than a fast food option.

Finally I got really nice location which can provide for me really really really healthy food. Amazing place because here people care for the food truly. Have great beer options ------------delicious, cheaper though may seem the pricing a bit more than actually I should have been. I love to pay at this location because it has the variety of selection to choose from.

I was meeting a friend for lunch, and she suggested Panera. I hadn't been before and was open to trying it. I won't be returning, as it just isn't for me. It isn't anything special, as the food is really plain and the menu is small. Panera is basically just soup, bread, salad and sandwiches. The strawberry smoothie I had didn't have much of a taste to it and I could barely tell there was any strawberry flavor to it. This location has a lot of seating, including outdoors seating. There's zero decoration or any feel to the place. A lot of brown, tan, and black with no real design or thought put into the ambiance. It reminds me of a school or hospital cafeteria. There is a lot of parking at the mall, but it's pretty full. Food: 2 Service: 3 Ambiance: 2 Parking: 3

It must have been a really cold day out and I was craving coffee because the small coffee that I ordered tasted absolutely delicious. I always like Panera Bread, their selection of pastries, varieties of drinks and combinations of food. What I dislike is how they maintain their store. Food can be tasty as much as you want it to be but if the restaurant looks like it was hit by a tornado will make any meal go sour. The employees are polite, don't get me wrong but I figure along with their positive and friendly attitude that they're hard workers too. Tables with trash on them, garbage piled up. And dont get me started on their bathroom. 2 star just because their coffee hit the spot.

Not sure what drew me to Panera when I was in college but any time I've been back in recent years I always question my decision. It's nothing special and the quality of the food has been on the decline. Sadly, I think they're trying to compete more with other fast food chains so the food is less healthy and as a result, less fresh than it used to be. I do like that if you're trying to make a meal of a visit, you can order a half sandwich and a salad, but it's also hard not to order a bunch of baked goods or sweet coffee or soda drinks and leave feeling like you might has well have just gone to McDonalds. Though the food isn't amazing, it is still a better space for a meeting or to kill time. Most locations have free WIFI and the set up is more like a coffee shop or lounge than a fast food joint. It's not hard to grab a coffee, a bagel, and hang out on your computer for a good long while.

This has been one of my favorite spots to study at. The area is spacious and the place doesn't get too loud even on busy days. Be sure to bring your Panera card to get your occasional free pastry. The only thing that bugs me sometimes is that seats near the door let in quite a draft, so definitely sit more inside. This probably explains why those seats are generally empty even on busy days.

Panera Bread is a chain of bakery-café in the States, however, I never get a chance to try it. It snowed on Friday morning and we wanted to stay till noon to see the snow was cleared. We barely to make it at Alderwood mall, so we went there for breakfast. We smelled fresh bakery when we walked in, we found a lot of breads, sandwiches, salads and beverages. Wild Blueberry Scone - It's good, just a bit dry and hard outside. Kid's meal - Mac & Cheese with chips. It's kid's flavour meal, however, my friend's daughter didn't like coz too soggy. The chips quite greasy. Onion soup - Liked instant onion soup (Campbell's soup?) Ham & Egg sandwiches - It's good too. Overall, it's pricy with such quality of food.

Well I would love to give a review and how they will the food may or may not taste. But I flat out refuse to eat in an establishment that I have to stand in line for 5 minutes and not have a single person asked me if I wanted anything. Not to mention there were two people in front of me with their cards in their hands and no one came to ask if they needed help either.

This Panera is always a mess! I dare you to go in there after 7:00 pm and find a clean table! I realize that Panera is a bus your own table type of place but for some reason the patrons at this location are too entitled and just leave their plates and trash on the table. The staff here are lazy and rude, as I was trying to get someone's attention to order she was intently sweeping the cash register area and was just pissed that I was in the way. The cashier was sweeping out the b

The people who work here are the slowest, laziest, workers I have ever encountered in an establishment. Im here right now waiting for my food for 15 minutes with no line at all. While the employees stand around chatting with each other casually. Thursday at 4:22, april 2nd. If you were working at this time, have a little character and pride in your work.

I really need to stop coming to this location. The only reason why I still eat at Panera bread is for their tomato basil bread. If they did not have that, I would never eat at any of their chains again. It does not matter how busy they are, every other time I come to panera they mess up on my order, which would not be a big deal if I discovered it before taking it home. I know what you're thinking, "check the bag!" I check the bag to make sure that I have the correct items but lately when I open the bag something inside my sandwich is missing. Last time I ordered a power breakfast sandwich that comes with ham, egg, and Swiss and they forgot the egg. I was missing 1/3 of the ingredients. When I called they apologized and said they could no longer refund my money over the phone a but would be happy to refund in person. The only issue was I picked up my breakfast on the way to work and would not be able to return until near closing. I explained my side and they said they would send me meal coupons for my next visit and that was almost 2 months ago and in still waiting. I even filled out their survey at the end of my receipt and one of their managers called me and I'm not sure what was more awkward, Having someone mock my complaint over the phone or the long pause between when I said something (in which I thought we were disconnected) If you decide to eat here be aware that this is your basic bakery/cafe place so they don't have any special meats or cheeses. It's an over price sandwich and there's a good chance they will mess up on your order. My advice is if you can not stay away alway double and triple check your order and most importantly if you get a sandwich make sure your order is correct.

My salad was great tasting and a huge proportion! You have to put your own dishes away near the trash and the reviews are true--the stacks of dishes is ridiculously high.

I placed an online order at 4pm to pick up a dozen bagels the following morning. When I arrived at Panera, my order was not on the "rapid pick up" shelf where it should have been. I waited for a staff member to help me at the cash register, and she brought me someone else's order and invoice to sign. I'm not sure what the confusion was over the order--they had received it, but did not have it ready by the designated time. No explanation, no apologies, and I had to wait while someone sloppily put it together. I was on a tight schedule as I was picking up this order to bring to my office...I would not trust them again with catering orders as they were not reliable.

Note: I made this yelp account solely to make this review. first restaurant ive ever felt compelled to leave a review. $18 for soup, sandwich, and mocha. The quality of this place was on par with McDonalds; but its cost was so extravagantly high that i was insulted by the quality of the food. Food came cold; At one point, i saw 13 orders lined up on the counter, waiting for the servers to take them to customers. Most orders sat on the counter for around 10 minutes before making it to the customer. My soup was cold when it came; a complete letdown on a cold day. And my sandwich had just the slightest hint of being warm. My meal must have sat out on the counter for a good 10 minutes before making it to me. My friends meal was perfectly warm; proving that my plate was one of the few that sat on the counter. The freshness of this place has also gone down over the years. We had to pull the tomatoes out of our sandwiches; generic soggy, just-frozen food-service tomatoes. Also; when i went to get a glass of water; they had stacks of water cups, lemons, and an ice bucket. but there was no water dispenser; there was no water button on the soda machine. I hunted and hunted (would have asked if they weren't horribly understaffed). eventually out of frustration; i just took a soda in the water cups. Even if there was a water pitcher somewhere; it must have been behind the counter. there was no obvious place for a customer to fill their own glass of water. The table was not clean when we sat down. and it was so busy that it was the only table available. Many tables are full of people camped out with their laptops. (Not to mention the high amount of babies and small children; in what is usually seen as an adult yuppie place. My meal was spent next to a screamer, with no place to move). Bottom line; this place is now a fast food quality restaurant. Except its extremely overpriced for the poor quality; and unfresh tasting food.

This. Place. Is. Garbage. I do not mean to disrespect the people working here because they are very nice, but the foot traffic that comes in is HORRID. the place isn't very well kept, sometimes the soups have been delivered lukewarm, and one more time, the trash of people that swarm to this place is disgusting. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 simply because I enjoyed my meal today AFTER standing in line behind two junkies.

The vegetarian sandwich was sweet, and the Thai salad was sweet. Seems like they replaced meat with sugar. The "kids Mac n cheese" came with a soup spoon that my 3 year old couldn't fit in his mouth. The only redeeming quality was the bread and friendly staff.

Panera is a basic mall cafe but for that, it does the job. They have great breakfast sandwiches, good salads and I like their tuna salad sandwich. I also like their rolls. They have a good tea selection from the Republic of Tea so its not cheapo tea. As others have pointed out, free wifi. This place gets the job done when it needs to but I will admit, it receives stiff competition from JewelBox Cafe. 3.5 stars

Panera Bread, you have us hooked on your soups and yummy baked goods! If you're expecting to have your table bussed and for sit down service then this is not the place for you. If you like the relaxed atmosphere of being able to enjoy your food with free wi-fi and have the luxury of taking your time and cleaning up after yourself when you are done, then this is your place! I see students studying and people having meetings there all the time. The only thing they can improve is to have "last minute" deals for baked goods closer to the end of the night. I do love that they support Food Lifeline!

Great food and clean restaurant as can be expected from a Panera Bread! However, come during lunch time on a week day and expect to sit amongst mothers with their screaming children. I enjoyed my regular bacon turkey bravo sandwich which is great as usual. The tomato-based bread has a nice, sweet brown sugar crust which is always a treat. Wish I could remember the name of the treat I got which looked like a cinnamon roll in the form of a muffin. The taste was okay, but the pastry was pretty dry which subtracted from the enjoyment. I'd recommend getting a cookie instead.

Great location! Northgate Mall. I had half turkey on country bread and French onion soup. Delicious! The line up was long right lunch but the cashiers were fast. Food came to me within 5 mins considering how busy they were. Will come back to try the other soups and sandwiches.

I can't really say much about their food, because their food isn't that bad at all. But instade of spending millions of dollars on a tv commercial why don't you fix your so called wifi? Every time I ask the employees what happened to the wifi and their response is surprisingly similar " we don't have control over that..."

I am an old goat who loves bread and coffee with nice pastry. This is what us ole Italians had 50 years ago when I was growing up...there was no donuts. However,i go to this Panera Bread every Sunday and i will say that this bread is like the olds ones i got in Long Island at college. This is one of my favorite places to write and to even read a book. The place is so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The seating inside and outside take your pick I usually write some of my reviews here.Sign up for a Panera card cause sometimes you get a free pastry and the pastrys are just so good because they are all home made.Try the bread which is located as you come.It has a very tasty taste and it is so good with butter and jam. They have coffee there that is so great.I like the hazelnut and I always have 2 helpings. If you want to study and write...this is the place to do so and say hello to Randy...the cute manager.I am giving this place 10 hats...way to go......Panera!

I like Panera Bread restaurants, but this one is very poorly managed. We were there tonight at 6pm, and the line was very long (10+ people) and the tables were dirty. The busing station was stacked so high with dirty dishes and trash that I feared an avalanche. Skip this branch until they get their act together.

    (1)
  • Bethany S.

This Panera Bread is always dirty. Dishes left out and over flowing in the dirty bin. Trash left on tables that are in badly need of a wipe down. My order was messed up, missing items. I made 4 separate entree orders and only received one side item. When I approached the worker she said they lumped them all as one entree. Weird. How can one person eat all of that in one sitting? Besides on the menu it says each full size entree comes with a side item. The food I ordered to go took way longer than expected in comparison to other Panera Bread restaurants. I went after 6 p.m. if that makes a difference in the quality of staff and food.

Why so dark? Seriously... I feel like I'm in a cave every time I come in here. Are they trying to conserve electricity? I'm going to start bringing a MagLite with me. Aside from the lack of lighting inside this Panera it's basically what you'd expect. There's plenty of seating, lots of baked goods displayed for you to choose from and a few coffee/espresso choices. For me Panera is a place I go in a pinch when I can't really decide on what I want for lunch and I'm close by. They have decent lunch offerings that are a bit over priced but they do the trick. Panera has been clean every time I've been here and the staff have always been friendly. Sometimes you'll have to wait for your order to be made so they'll give you one of those vibrating buzzer squares to page you when your order is ready. If you're eating in then it's your responsibility to clean up your own dishes/table so don't be lazy and handle your business so the next person doesn't have to clean up after you. Your mom doesn't work here... unless she does... and then she should have raised you better. If you're in a rush and just want to eat something mostly tasty and don't mind spending a few extra pesos then this is a viable option. Meh.

    (3)
  • Darioush J.

The coffee is really good, especially for for it's price. The fact that they aren't asking for tips, so I can get some espresso for under $2 makes it amazing. However, their free wifi just isn't up to par. It works fine if you are patient enough, but only if you're going to do web browsing. I couldn't use spotify. There is decent throughput but the latency in establishing connections makes it really bad for something like remote access to work.

  • Julia W.

I never knew what I was missing until Panera Bread appeared in my life. I love everything from their bagels to their pastries and recently tried their cookies. It's all amazing! The only thing that's disappointing is they did change their chicken noodle soup recipe that I loved so much. I haven't tried the new one but I've heard it is not as good. They offer a free pastry or treat for your birthday so definitely a nice perk!

  • Melody P.

I met my friend over there for breakfast. I had their French Onion Soup and half chicken Panini. With cold weather like today, this is a great combination. It was quite busy when we got there. Therefore, we didn't have a lot choice of seating. We got a table, kinda in the middle of the busy area. Otherwise, the atmosphere wasn't too bad. I'd go back again and grab a book, stay there for an afternoon next time!

Employees are always super friendly & genuine at the Northgate PB in Seattle, WA! Love the Toffee Nut Cookie! All of the food is really great. I really liked my broccoli cheddar soup & w/w turkey bacon avocado sandwich, and the little boy I take care of really liked his turkey chili & w/w grilled cheese.

Hope you like carbs! If you like Panera Bread, you'll get a solid, chain experience here. What's not to like, there's free WIFI, the order / table side service works smoothly, there are usually enough tables and one big plus for me is that they are open EARLY so when I need a spot to have breakfast and work a bit at 6am, Panera is the spot in my neighborhood. The downsides are the usual - it's a bit on the pricey side for what you get. You'll get the occasional, over peppy server (not so awesome at 6am) but other than that, you can't go wrong. I'm happy there's a Panera Bread option at the Northgate Mall.

    (4)
  • Adriana K.

Ok, its a chain, but each place has it's own character. I have had very friendly and slightly inefficient service in recent trips. But the food is consistent. A little confusing thinking that you can go into the mall from the back- and no signage to tell you otherwise. Their cookie selection isn't great, but the shortbread cookies are tasty. And of course, the bread!

  • Flora C.

I like to come here to have a quick and relaxing lunch more and more. The food is healthy and tasty. The service is really depends on who do you bump into. Today... it is... "I can help the next...." I told the bus girl about a wet spot on the floor that I almost slipped. I guessed she was so busy and more than one customer told her. She semi-rolled her eyes and sigh. She said she knew. A ok, I will back off than. I just hoped that no one will slipped and sued this place.

Mediterranean veggie sandwich has really gone south. It was that sandwich that made me a Panera customer when I get to eat that first time at a Birthday party.. I need to check that Sandwich in another Panera location to see if it is just a problem at Northgate or in other locations also

This is one of my favorite places to come and study (and grab a bite to eat too)! Yes, it's a chain, but I like this location. There's tons of parking at the mall and it's next to some other great places (i.e. Target) haha. Wi-fi is free, but of course if you go at peak times it can be slow... but then again I'm here to study, not surf the web necessarily, right? I've noticed it gets a little noisy sometimes, and people certainly should consider that (I just put on my earphones). I've heard my fair share of weird conversations here too, people meet at Panera apparently for all sorts of reasons! Anyway, I like the salads and soups, albeit they're on the expensive side. Bagels and coffee are good too (I usually get the mug and keep fillin'). Tips, ask for your dressings on the side and tell em to cut yo apples! It's good cafe food, and I usually don't feel bad eating it, which is great if you got lots to study!

    (4)
  • Dale H.

Panera...the ultimate mall cafe. The food is decent. The staff is lively. The atmosphere is comfortable and just slightly loud. I dont mind coming here a couple times a year, but any more than that is redundant. Love the fresh bread so stopping in a few extra times just for that works for me.

  • Yah Babo D.

I had a meeting here with my escrow/closing officer. So after signing a bunch of paperwork and what not she went on her merry way and I ordered the steak and cheese panini. Not bad...price wasn't too expensive. Service was professional and quick. It's clean in there. There are a lot of people who are just munching on sandwiches with their laptops out and doing whatever their doing. Didn't see much interaction amongst people. So if you like to be left alone and enjoy some free wifi come hang out here. Get some easy food and well just vegetate...

I am usually quite disdainful of chain places. I find their homogeny to be discomforting while others find them comforting. That said, Panera is one of the better chain places. Their breads are well made and I have a couple of particular favourites. The tomato basil makes for a great grilled cheese sandwich when paired with a red pepper/tomato soup. And if you like rye bread, theirs is quite good toasted with butter. I have a friend who claims addiction to their French toast breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage and cheese tucked between their French toast bagel. I've often wanted to go back during the colder months and try each one of their soups. They seem rather popular and rotate with seasonal offerings. Staff has always been friendly and the dining room kept clean. There's ample parking and if you do frequent Panera, sign up for their loyalty programme. You will earn free items and points, even something special on your birthday. With the weather warming up, their salads are a sound bet. And don't forget to grab one of their frozen strawberry lemonades! They are yummy! One final note. At the end of the day, all of their unsold bread is donated to local hunger relief agencies. They also match cash donations made in their stores to local relief groups.

Dang, this place was crackin on a Friday afternoon! I was thankful that they had all their cashiers open, which made the long line go by very quickly. They have a full menu of tossed salads, soups, classic sandwiches, paninis, fresh baked breads, breakfast items and of course, pastries and desserts. With your order, you can choose between an apple or kettle chips--I choose kettle chips always. After you pay they'll give you a buzzer and then you can try to find a seat! Luckily, most people are in-eat-out here so people are constantly moving and leaving. I ordered the Broccoli Cheddar soup and half of a Smokehouse Turkey panini. Delicious, besides the fact that they use a sun-dried tomato mustard on the sandwich and I actually HATE mustard. Next time I won't get that. Overall, I'm always very satisfied with their food, their service and they at least have a ton of options. Even though everything tastes grab and like it's "good for you" watch out for the calories.

Out of all the times I've came here to study, today was my first time ordering a hot panini. Let alone, ordering to-go at the pick up line. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready to go. It kinda gives you that feeling you get whenever you try to do as much as you can before the microwave goes off. Haha, other than that, I got the Chipotle Chicken Hot Panini, and it was absolutely delicious. It also comes with a side of your choice. All to the total for a roughly $7-$8. I just got My Panera member card while ordering, and I can't wait to use it for my next visit, apparently I get a free baked good! Cinnamon Chip Scones for days... :) Oh as for the perks of studying at Panera, it offers that feel at home-roomy kind of vibe, there's free wi-fi, comfortable and spacious booths, and complimentary water! Service is extremely friendly too! TIP-WORTHY!

Meh. I used to love this place a few years back, but having since expanded my dining repertoire, I gotta say that this place kind of fails to impress. Nothing special about this super chain "bakery" if you ask me. A bit over-priced for what you get (yes, I know it's only $7.50 for the "you pick two" deal, but I can get a lot more for that amount of money elsewhere in Seattle). PROS: 1. Options. The "you pick two" lets you choose among a half sandwich, half salad, small soup (plus a side of chips, roll, or a dinky little apple). 2. Fast service. 3. Calories listed. 4. Average tasting food. CONS: 1. Half sandwiches are tiny. Like a couple bites worth. 2. Soup comes in a tiny bowl reminiscent of those Campbell's "to go" cups that you microwave. 3. Dinky little apple! It's Washington, people! Give me a nice WA apple for crying out loud. Overall, I'd much rather go to Subway for a healthier, tastier, more fulfilling sandwich.

It's a chain so not much to expound on. I'm not a huge fan of Panera cause the food is expensive and the portions are small, granted I eat like I'd been starved for months every time I eat so.... Plus, something about fruit flies on the baked goods just doesn't do it for me. People here are nice and it's clean for the most part. Food quality is a hit and miss at times. Steel cut oatmeal was good. Turkey sammich was not. My gf's apple salad was good and I don't even like salads. My steak sammich was greasy and dry, so fail. You get the point.

I really love Panera. I'm not really into chain food place...actually, I think this is the only chain restaurant I like. The Signature Salads are delicious, i.e., tender juicy chicken and fresh greens. The Black Bean soup is crave worthy. I look forward to it every time I go...when I was job hunting I was so thankful for their FREE WI-FI. Good Salads. Free Wi-fi. Friendly service. Ample seating. Such a great place. -1 star for the tempting 400 calorie baked goods...they don't have ANY healthier baked goods available. :(

I've been to Panera exactly twice. The first time because i was STARVING and was in a mall and did not want fast food (BLECH) or Starbucks breakfast again. So i chose Panera. Meh. The counter people are really friendly. And it's fast. That would have earned it 3 stars. The breakfast sandwich I had was fine. All I could taste was spinach and i had asked that they make it on wheat bread but it came out on ciabatta. Frown. The second time i went was for the same reason. I was STARVING and had class in 15 minutes and just jumped in to grab a quick sandwich to take to lecture. HORRIBLE IDEA. Yes, it was fast. The people at the counter were friendly. I got to class, opened my sandwhich and lifted up the bread to see they had left off the mayo and mustard. Great. Dry sandwiches suck but i'm still hungry. Go in for a bite and to my horror see a black curly pubic hair imbedded in the bread of my tighly wrapped, mayo-lacking sandwich. Appetite? GONE. Hunger? not. i had to run to the vending machines during class. They were closed when i finally got out of class to take the sandwich back. Boo. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, I'm NOT eating your crappy food again.

Panera has evolved over the years into a great sandwich and bakery chain. They offer a wide selection of sandwiches on artesian bread. They have many healthy choices with fresh fruit and special salads. They have seasonal specials and dishes as well and are always adding new items to their menu. Join the panera club to get nice free drink and dessert rewards.

I am impressed. I had heard a lot about this place before ever going... and when i finally went it was all worth it. Now, you may ask yourself what makes this place different than other sandwich shops? 1) its menu - really good, fresh, and unique stuff. 2) fast and good service' 3) the combo - mix and match its totally worth it. the only down side is that it is not cheap but worth it.

Paradise Bakery, please come to Seattle! Panera Bread is just not as exciting. Every time I go to a Panera, I get excited by the awesome menu. Then the sandwich bread is soggy, the sandwich fillings are mediocre, and the salad isn't crisp. At this location, I had the Asian Sesame Chicken salad and was pretty disappointed. The cilantro seemed to be missing, the chicken wasn't citrus-y as promised, and it was overall pretty mediocre. Next time I'm in Northgate, I'll probably go to the Chipotle.

The French onion soup was extra salty, so was the chipotle sandwich. The not too ripe apple was so tiny that I thought it was a joke. I used to like Panera Bread better when it first came to town. The excitement is gone, if they don't have any more newer improvement.

Meh. The people are nice but the service is slow. I find it pretty expensive for what you get, but the display case always looks awesome and fresh. I love the Mac n' Cheese even though it is microwaved and pushed out of a plastic bag. My biggest complaint with Panera is that they bag EVERYTHING. Bag the baguette, then stick it in the bag with the rest of your meal, and then stick all the meals in another bag. It is truly insane.

Not good. I was excited to hear that Panera had finally come here, after listening to my friends talk about how tasty it is. But it was not good. At all. I ordered the "harvest pear" salad (or something). It was tagged "IT'S BACK!" suggesting that it was awesome and people were sad it was gone and so it was brought back for everyone to enjoy longer. Sounds good to me. It was bad. But when ordering, I told the girl I just wanted the salad, no chicken..and then she mumbled something and I was like: Sure fine. She offered me a roll, which she then charged me for. Okay, that was my bad for not listening carefully enough. But if I said "JUST the salad" why do you offer me other stuff? And if you did, after I said I ONLY wanted salad, maybe I thought the roll was complimentary or something? It's just a roll for crying out loud. Anyway, the salad came out quickly enough but it had chicken on it. I figured, well she screwed me on the roll, I will accept your free chicken. The chicken was baaaaaarely cooked it seemed. The chunks of pear were already brown, and the leafy stuff was already soggy with the weight of the wet pears and dressing. Gross! I paid $8 for this? I threw most of it away. Never going back.

Slow slow slow. 10 people working behind the counter, minimal counter service. Waited 15 minutes just to order a coffee. Service FAIL.

I've only had salad here, but the salad I had was delicious! I will not likely be back for the salad however, as it was almost $9. I got the Strawberry poppy seed chicken salad, which I think is seasonal. It was a mix of spring greens topped with strawberries, blueberries, fresh pineapple, mandarin oranges, pecans and some kind of cheese--feta or Gorgonzola maybe? No dressing, but the fruit were all so juicy, it wasn't missed. I'm not sure how students can afford to eat here, seems more like a real housewives of Seattle type of place. I can make the salad at home, but thanks for the great recipe idea!

Free WiFi. Crowded. The breakfast sandwiches are pretty tasty. I love that they will yell out any name I give them. "Hildegard! Your order is ready at the counter!"

Best mall food... that's about all one can say really. The wife and I were doing some holiday shopping, we felt like soup, so there was really nothing else around. It beats McD$ or bloated "sit-down" affairs like California Pizza Kitchen nearby. Save your wallet and your waistline, go here instead. If you *really* want to save $ and your health, go get a burrito just down the way at Chipotle.

Nothing special. They have a ton of different pastries, a wide variety of breads and bagels, and the typical sandwich/salad/soup offerings of any bakery/cafe. The menu's a little confusing because they have regular 'cafe' items and then 'specialty' items and I'm not entirely sure of what the distinction between cafe and specialty are because they seem to be prepared in the same manner. The U Pick 2 deal is decent-- $6.79 or something like that for your choice of two items from the daily soup, cafe salad, and cafe sandwich offerings. I went with the Greek salad (typical greek salad: greens, kalamata olives, feta, some sort of vinaigrette, red onions, tomatoes) and the sierra turkey sandwich (turkey, some sauce, red onions, lettuce on asiago bread) and got a tiny apple as a side (chips and a piece of bread are the other options). The sandwich was just okay: the onions tasted like they'd been sitting out for a while and the insides spilled out awkwardly so that it was hard to eat. The salad was good, but nothing special. Water, soda, iced tea, and drip coffee are all self serve. The set up of this location is really awkward, with the coffee bar located by the register and the beverage bar located in the back corner between a wall and the pick-up line. Also, for having so much space the seating is kind of uncomfortably crowded-- long booth sides with tiny tables mashed together and awkward arm chairs pushed right up against other tables. I definitely don't recommend it if you need some space. Lastly, I understand this is a mall location so it makes sense to only be open as late as the mall is, but it's also a cafe where people come to study and work so I feel like they'd benefit from extended hours. I guess you could always go next door to Barnes & Noble, which is open til 11?
