Let me preface this by saying I'm from New York. Pagliacci Pizza is some of the most disgusting pizza I have ever had. I was drawn in by the nice-looking interior, friendly staff, and the pretty apparent popularity of the place. I figured to have this nice of a joint on Broadway, you would have to be doing fairly well for yourself. Had great service from friendly and quick servers; the pizza looked delicious at a glance. Got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese. Looks can most certainly be deceiving. The pizza sauce was nothing more than from-the-can tomato paste; the rubbery quality of the cheese has been topped by only one other thing in my entire life, and that is the rubbery quality of the crust. I could barely get half a slice down before I decided that it just wasn't worth it. Shockingly, everyone I've spoken to seems to think their pizza is fantastic! How tragic :/

Wahoo! Love my Pagliacci! OUTSTANDING customer service, great ingredients and consistently delicious pies.... this place has my 20 bucks everytime I decide to order pizza. Why buy a pizza anywhere else?

Most times when I go into a place where the staff has to wear uniforms i get bummed out. It doesn't happen at this place. Don't know why. Maybe it is because just about every boy and girl that works here is a cutie. If you are on Broadway and are needing some calories, but don't want to sit down, getting a slice at this place is the only smart thing to do.

A great Seattle institution. Quality eats for a reasonable price. Very nice salad for, what, under $4, always interesting pizza combos, and it tastes good too. Nothing fancy here but there aren't many places any more where you can get such a nice meal for such a low price. Oh, they have Manny's on tap too, Nothing better than a salad, a slice, and a beer. Mmmm.

  • Liz H.

They really have the best crust ever (in Seattle, yeah, yeah). I am a fresh veggie pizza loyalist. NUM!

Had a margherita pizza delivered the day I moved here. Um, wow? What else can I say about the best delivered pizza I've ever had (not best pizza, best delivered)? Service was quick, and the delivery guy was really friendly. It was pretty pricey though; 13" for $20. How does that saying go? Oh, right, "you get what you pay for, so don't be a cheapass." I might have adlibbed the last bit.

The peperoni pizza is to die for, what more do you need to know?

I don't like the change in breadsticks either! But I like to go here every chance I get (which isn't many) - love the pesto, spicy sicilian chicken, and pagliaccio salads!! And their gelatto! yum!! The nonny's pasta (?) wasn't very good and was a pretty small portion sadly. I dig the pizza by the slice -- the few times I've done take out from this location it has been fairly greasy and not worth finishing.

UPDATE Feb 23 Ordered a pizza tonight. Delivery guy shows up and says "Well usually this would be $22 but since you are a frequent customer this one is on the house." Probably that means I'm ordering too much pizza. But 10 stars for treating their customers right. wow such difference of opinions when it comes to the Pag...interesting. This is my go to pizza delivery place and I stand by that. I am a huge fan of their pies and have rarely been disappointed (FYI if you are disappointed by what they get call them and let them know...on the two occasions this happened they sent me a coupon for a free pie....good customer loving). Fast and delicious.

When in Seattle this is one of two places I'll eat pizza. So good it makes my teeth hurt. Their salads, breadsticks, and dipping sauce are so amazing too! I've tried pretty much all of them, and have no preference. Even the plain old chees is tasty. I usually go with whatever everybody else wants when I go in a group, or whatever is hot and fresh when I go alone. And ALWAYS breadsticks, even if I'm not that hungry.

I don't think Cap Hill Pagliacci is quite as good as some of the other Pagliacci's. But, it's still excellent. The salad is delicious. The pizza - cheese only and veggie topping pizzas are all delicious. As for the other yelpers complaints about the quality of ingredients - I could not disagree more. I know people who have worked at Pagliacci's who have told me that the cheese is an expensive import, many of the veggies are organic (including the leaf lettuce on the super tasty house salad), super fancy & expensive peppers are used, etc. In addition to delicious food, another plus is Mac n Jack draft. One negative, I was disappointed to see that the pizza available by the slice looked like they had been sitting for a while - still tasted great, but probably would have tasted even better if they had been fresher. Pagliacci's is definitely the best pizza in Seattle.

Best pizza in Seattle, hands down. Romio's is a close second. The only complaint I have is the price, but it's well worth it every time!

I have never eaten such cheap crappy ingredients on a pizza. I would like a manager to step forward with an invoice from their purveyors. I dare you.

The quattro formaggio is the most enticing thing I've had with tomatoes *note - I HATE tomatoes - does this make me evil?* - I do try to hang back until I see a fresh pizza coming out of the oven. Food just sitting around kind of skeeves me. The pizza isn't stellar - I'd only give it maybe a 3 but the gelato.. OOOOOOHHHHHH the gelato - if I remember correctly it comes from the shop on 3rd and.. uh.. Pike or Pine.. maybe Union.. Geliatissimo hmmm.. I'd give it a 5 if I could remember the name.. I'm in love with the sweet cream and a combo of raspberry/lemon.. yum

I like this place for straight up cheese pizza and that's it. I've tried toppings and they are not the best but the cheese is about perfect b/c they have good thin crispy crust. Also try the homemade Gelato-very, very good.

Pizza is good, not the best though. Pasta salad is where its at, try the pesto. I'm mostly writing this review because of the tremendous customer service they provide. Specifically the counter persons knowledge of ingredients/processes of the kitchen and the warm smiles i receive without fail. My last visit some guy stiffed the cashier and then proceeded to cuss at her like a sailor, the way this fella was talking I would have been in a fist fight with the guy, but she kept her cool and stayed polite. Good Work!

I love the pizza and the service; just called for a delivery and the fact that this company is smart enough to remember my information based on phone numbers is great. They know my address and have my credit card on file. Takes two minutes to order and it'll be here in 35 minutes. Exactly what you want when ordering pizza. Highly recommended. Didn't get five stars since a couple of times my order wasn't exactly right.

Pagliacci Pizza is a really good restaurant. The employees are always friendly and helpful. It's close to where I live and the food is good. The pesto salad is my favorite.

Solid pizza by the slice for a good price.

I must admit, the first time I tried some Pagliacci Pizza at the Broadway location a few months ago, I was not that impressed. I went back there recently though(because another restaurant was closed) and it was some of the best pizza I have ever had. And I am a pizza Connoisseur, having worked in several pizza places and tried pizza from all over. The double pepporoni pizza is so greasy and delicious, just like a slice of pizza should be. Plus, a slice of pizza is not very expensive. My boyfriend and I got a couple slices each and soda for like $12. Not bad... not too bad.

Perhaps you are on the Hill and need a place to grab lunch - cheep. fast. delicious. I've always had the most positive experiences here. The staff are cute, fun, and flirty. The options of pizzas are seemingly endless. And there are several nooks and crannies to hand with your posse. When you walk in you will have the choice of a salad (which I tend to forgo, even though they are good) and head straight for the pizza. Usually there are four to five choice - without fail these will include the staples of cheese and pepperoni with two-three other choices that are a bit more off kilter for us foodies. You tell the staff how many of which kind you want and they will send it down a cool conveyor-belt thing to make it warm and perfect for you.v When you pay you will get the option of gelato (highly recommended) or drinks (they sell beer/wine/soda/ice-tea and lemon aid). Great for eat-in or take out.

There was one day where I walked by this joint over and over again, trying to catch a glimpse of the "cute boy" (my friend's words) who worked inside. Then, we decided to eat there. The pizzas there are pretty good, and the salads decent. I got their pasta salad once, and it had a surprising amount of flavor.

Best place for your money if you want a slice of pizza.

  • Megan S.

I'm not a pizza connoisseur. I have a love-hate relationship with tomatoes, which means I tend to dislike what others consider pizza perfection. Never have I had pizza in Boston that I truly like. I've loved the pizza I've had in Brooklyn--Pagliacci's is somewhat similar. I love it! Sauce is just right: not too much, no tomato chunks. And the cheese is greasy and not at all polymer-like, which is how it should be. Yum. Can I have more now? Also, the people are great and the establishment is clean.

i left seattle for a while and i felt like i was missing something, and i realized that i was missing out on having regular sex with my girlfriend. and then i came back and she was having regular sex with a guy that works at paggliachi. i hate that guy. but he makes great pizza. i love the pizza here. i want to punch that guy that makes it though.

I love Pagliacci Pizza as far as delivery pizza goes. Delivery people are always friendly and professional. I'm a huge fan of their seasonal specialty pizzas, their chicken pizza, their - okay almost all the pizzas are excellent, as long as I ask for no goat cheese and light on the onions (personal preference.) My trick is to preheat the oven and put the pizza in for another 5 minutes or so. I like crispy crust pizza and theirs always comes a little limp. So long as I have a hot oven handy - they make my perfect pizza! The salads and gelato are yummy too!! I'm sad they don't deliver during lunch time...

  • John C.

Best pizza place hands down. I'm originally from Seattle but I've moved down to the LA area. I've tried all the best places from Santa Monica, Hollywood and Pasadena. No place has satisfied my pizza cravings quite like Pags back in Seattle. I would recommend dining in as opposed to delivery b/c I think it just enhances and adds to the experience. Go to the one on University Ave near UW.

  • Lily H.

I'd really like to give this place three stars as the staff are pretty nice and friendly and all of the central-Seattle locations (U District, lower Queen Anne), this one has the best ambiance and design. But the pizza has very little on it--those goat's-cheese + sun-dried-tomato and the separate Canadian bacon toppings, though tasty, were as meagre as one could possibly imagine. And the crust was crisp but had hardly any taste at all. Think I could actually do better with buying a frozen Tombstone pizza and baking in the oven it at home (got to have plenty of cheese, even if its just mozzarella). But in a rush, when I'm out in the neighborhood and get hungry, I guess Pagliacci will do, as a quick bite.

    (2)
  • Chris m.

Ok, so my friend and I just went to Pag's on Broadway after hitting a few used bookstores on the Hill. You may want to try this place if you're in the neighborhood. I mean, it's cheap, so even if the food bites, you're not out that much cash. Plus, if you eat enough of it, you won't be hungry for a while. Like, I just had a slice, a root beer, and a salad and I'm still full. So when it comes to overcoming the pangs of hunger, Pagliacci's Broadway is a good choice. But if you're really looking for fine dining, I'd suggest The Herb Farm or Canlis or a place like that.

I eat pizza once a week at home so after a month I was jonesing. But sorry this isn't Brooklyn pizza. It is alright though a little greasy. The spicy pepperoni was a nice addition. The crust was way too oily and tasted of butter in the way that Pizza Hut crust taste. Doubtful I will order it again. The delivery guy was nice though

Pretty awesome. Maybe not the best pizza in seattle, but it's not far off. definitely worth the price. Try the anchovies. seriously.

  • Rachel B.

This is my favorite place to get a slice of cheese pizza. And the pepperoni is awesome cold (not as good hot interestingly enough.) The pesto/pasta salad is really great as well. Probably my 2nd favorite pizza in town. (First of course, is Pizzutto's!)

    (4)
  • Christina L.

I have no idea how much the pizza costs, but I had this at an office party the other day (yay for free yet tasty pizza!) and enjoyed it. The crust is crispy and delicious and the spinach/chicken combo I had was good and cheesy and delightfully lacking in grease. Can't say the same for the pepperoni, which was swimming in grease, but the cheese is good.

    (4)
  • steve c.

Yeah, I know, the place is so avant guard with it's fresh, local toppings. Well, sorry to burst your Michael Buble but this is nothing more than a dominos with ingredients that are a little bit better and a few fewer stores........nothing more..........review is done

I haven't been here in too long but I really love Pagliacci's slices. I especially love their slices coated in crushed red pepper and parmesan (not that they need it).

  • Rey M.

This is by far one of th best Italian style pizzas I've had in years. There wasnt much to choose from here but aside from what they had, it was very very good!

    (5)
  • Grace L.

The pizza here was AMAZING! For delivery and from a "chain" pizzeria, the pizza size and amount of toppings were great (I hate it when I feel like they skimp on the toppings) and altogether delicious. We got the Brooklyn Bridge and a pizza with chicken and some other toppings. My friend and I ordered prior delivery prior to arriving home and it got there 5 minutes after us - perfect timing! I haven't had anything aside from the pizza but after that, it makes me very depressed that we don't have Pagliacci's in VA

In celebration of a friends' introduction back into the cheese-eating world, it was decided that pizza would be the meal of choice, and that it must be at "the best place in town," obviously. 2 minutes of yelp and Pagliacci is the place we landed on, and now I am hooked, probably for life. We ordered a large veggie pizza and added pineapple, which added a really nice sweetness. It took a good 20 minutes for the pizza to come out, a very torturous 20 minutes at that, but the wait was worth it, which is an incredible understatement. It is impossible for me to spell in English, or any language for that matter, how this pizza tasted, but it's fair to say that I ate a portion fit for a person three times my size, simply because it was so delicious. Also, their house dressing is a form of "Ranch" with a distinctively cinnamon-y taste to it. Very interesting and very good for dipping. The crust is like a fine artisan bread, and the toppings were substantial and fresh. The person that took our oder was one of the best-looking young men on whom I have ever feasted my eyes, and service was very friendly. All in all, I can't rave enough about the food here so far, and I can't wait to go back.

My god this place is GOOD! Definitely worth the price! Way better than hot mama's.

  • Jessica R.

Pagliacci's seasonal specialty pizzas are inventive without going over the top. Cheese, mushroom, and black olive is my favorite combo. And in case you've been living under a rock, they're offering 30% off -- AUTOMATICALLY -- any whole pizza until March 20.

    (4)
  • Laura P.

I haven't eaten at Pagliacci in years and didn't really miss it until we learned of a certain seasonal offering. We caught a whiff of someone's Pear Primo being delivered a few nights ago. It has mozzarella and fontina cheeses, mushrooms, red onions and walnuts. We couldn't resist. It smells fierce but is divine. Available until Christmas.

For Seattle this is some of the best Pizza you can get. I'm extremely partial to NY style Pizza and this was the closest I can find in Seattle. I know that's sad, but it's true. They deliver which is great, but I stuck to Pizza because nothing else was ever that good.

    (4)
  • Vanessa F.

For delivery pizza in Seattle this shit is goooooood. I come from the land of Brooklyn so you do have to take my word for it. We got Peperoni because there was a tween involved....dont get me wrong I love me some Peperoni Pizza too. Not only was the crust super crispy but the peperoni was too. Everyone was happy.

  • Masquerade P.

The pizza is a step above pizza hut or dominos but, is more greasy and more expensive. It tasted ok and the sallad was great. Exept the part where I got sick after. That kinda sucked.

  • Liza Z.

Even though this is a pizza joint, I love their salads. The Pagliacci salad is delish!

Yes, this is good pizza. The best in Seattle.

good sauces + tasty cheeses + lots of toppings = pizza i'll not tire of. the salad, sans meat, is good too.

  • Brian L.

I love pizza. I've only eaten slices here, but have never been disappointed. They're a bit on the expensive side, but they're worth it. I've probably had a slice of each of they're varieties by now and haven't found a runt. If you're like me and enjoy good pizza, you will enjoy Pagliacci.

  • Jeff W.

Fantastic pizza. The best delivery pizza in Seattle, I think. And their salads are wonderful too, maybe even better than than the pizza. But its expensive. This is special occasion pizza, not every day delivery pizza. But yowzers, they make a good pie.

    (5)
  • J K.

Yummy pizza. Their cheese bread is divine. Their salads are pretty good too.

    (5)
  • Erika A.

By far my favorite pizza in Seattle. Their cheese pizza is simple and perfect, the salads are unique and consistant. I always have good service. On one occasion my sister's crutons were stale on her ceasar salad. when she wrote that in on a comment card, she was sent a 10$ gift card and a hand written note to appoliguise. They really seem to care. That (and the great pizza) is why i always come back.

  • Annie P.

Pagliacci's is one of my favorite pizza places, and their delivery is AWESOME. I love the thin, crispy crusts, fresh toppings, simple yet delicious selections, and their Pagliaccio salad... it goes perfectly with all their pizzas.

    (4)
  • lauren o.

absolutely the best (and maybe only good) pizza i've had since i moved here from new york. the pizzas are absolutely wonderful, the margherita is "to die for," and anyone who says otherwise clearly and unfortunately has no taste!

    (5)
  • Donte P.

I hate to write a bad review of pagliacci, since their pizza is pretty decent. they do great seasonal things, have interesting toppings, and their delivery drivers are all nice folks. So what's wrong? The pizza doesn't reheat worth a damn. The crust gets rubbery and the overall experience is more of cow chewing cud than person eating lunch. Sure, it's a petty gripe (eat it fresh!), but I'm a petty person, so whatever.

    (2)
  • Chen Y.

My favorite pizza in Seattle. I love the crust that is just right--thin, chewy, and ooh so good. Love their seasonal pizzas, like the pear one and the salmon one they had in the summer. Yum. Eating in or taking out--both great experiences.

  • Rose G.

We have been eating at this particular Pagliacci's for years. Even though we live up north of Seattle, it has always been something we found a craving for. We ate slices (4) there a few weeks ago, and we couldn't believe the change. The cheese on the slices tasted bland and rubbery. The crust was no longer that perfect chewy one, but most of it, except the bottom, was doughy and uncooked. Ugh. The pizza sauce even seemed to have lost its tasty kick. It was clear to us that the quality has been cut by changes that have lessened the product and probably saved some money for the restaurant. Bad decision on their part. We could do as well with a frozen pizza. We won't return again. There was nothing to draw us back. What a loss. Fortunately, there are other good places that are retaining their quality.

Great pizza -- even cold and a few days old. You hire cool pizzamakers too. Better than anything in San Francisco.

    (4)
  • J S.

I have to admit, they have won me over after many years of resisting. I only stick with a peperoni a little well done and it's the perfect balance. I still crave that "amazing" pizza that I just can't find in my neighborhood. .

    (4)
  • Libby H.

I haven't found truly great pizza in Seattle. Pagliacci has tasty slices though. I wish they had more varieties available at any one time, but if you need a quick dinner, it's a great option. Parking can be tricky. + slices, salads - only a few slice choices

    (3)
  • Chani B.

Why is pizza in this town so overpriced? If you want to bend over and get a** raped, this is the place for you. This pizza is too overpriced IMO and there are better pizza places ( well not in Seattle that I have found) in the world lol, yet,if you have the hunger for a slice, its not that bad. Dont ever call them and tell them that your last pizza was burnt on the bottom should you order it. They will put a note on your name and then undercook your pizza the next time. Bloody hell!

    (3)
  • G W.

Pagliacci is my favorite Seattle pizza place. I hate having to order over the phone (I'm an online ordering kinda gal), but the phone ordering process here is as painless as opening a web browser and typing everything in, if not more so. They remember my preferences from prior orders, they're nice, and the ordering's over and the food's on the way in the blink of an eye. And I love their pizza: half cheese, half black olives, spinach (baked on), and feta, always with fresh ingredients and baked with what seems to be obvious care. Mmm! The seasonal gelato is nothing to sneeze at either (try the pumpkin in October/November, wow). Even though I've left Seattle for Chicago, the pizza capital of the country, I still look forward to my trips back to Seattle so I can enjoy this pizza again.

Pizza is very good. They lose a star because I always seem to have to hear some liberal wacktard jive every time I'm in here. Annoying, as you might imagine.

  • Ivonne N.

I've been here twice so far and I must say that the pizza is...Not so great. I've had better pizza elsewhere. Anywhere else I mean. The decor is great and I enjoyed my 2 bud lights immensely, but that's it. The staff was friendly as hell, and even the bathrooms are gorgeous and spotless. Just one problem... Pizza wasn't worth shit. I wouldn't come here for the food, but if your looking for a nice spot to relax with a cold one and a semi-decent slice, here it is.

Great WEST Coast Pizza. I am from the East Coast, NY area and so pizza is very special to me. Pagliacci is wonderful west coast style pizza and I'm really glad its in my 'hood too.

  • J C.

Everyone has their idea of what perfect pizza is. Pagliacci isn't perfect for me, but it's pretty close. I'll try and describe it and you can decide if it is a fit for you. Their pizza is thin style with a decent sized crust. I really like the dough, it's tender and chewy and comes out not too dark. They have a wide selection of toppings and also offer seasonal specials that are worth a try if you are looking for something out of the box from the standard pepperoni. It's very good pizza. The salads are good and will make one special order for you if you don't like all of the standard fixings in there. The dine in locations are unpretentious, grab a tray, place your order and find a seat. Some locations serve beer, others don't, though the one on Lake City near 80th encourages you to bring your own beer or wine. The prices are a little more expensive than the big chains, but the pizza is different and in my opinion better.

Oh my dear old friend Pagliacci. I cannot say for certain how long I have been coming here but it is safe to say that I have been calling up Pagliacci for my pizza fix for some time now. In a city where more and more people are loving their gourmet pizzas it is nice to have a trusty stand by. The pizzas made here are not terribly fancy, every once in a while they will have an adventurous combination of vegetables but I come for the classic cheese or pepperoni. The salads are always good. Pesto salad is from heaven. Simply, no fuss, good. The toppings on the slices and in the bowls are always fresh and flavorful. Nothing ever tastes as if it has been sitting out for a long period of time. The people are sweet, if you ask for some extra of something in your salad, they listen and oblige. In a crazy world of new food joints and new food experiences it is nice to have a place where I know I can walk in and get a good old piece of greasy cheese pizza.

  • Del D.

My kids love the pizza and the salads. The counter-culture looking staff are incredibly friendly, upbeat and polite, and the food is great. Good prices, simple atmosphere, great people-watching if you sit in the window, and super nice staff. It's always worth the hunt for parking (and there's a garage across the street if you can't find a metered spot).

  • Rico G.

There is a reason that Pagliacci Pizza has been disqualified for Seattle Weekly's Best of Seattle. They won for like a gajillion years in a row. Excellent pizza, in decent sizes. Pastas are good. Nice people. Pizzas kinda greasy, but most American Pizza is. Good stuff.

Craving a slice from this pizza joint right now. Love the Pagliacci Salad too, just hold the ham. Fridays they offer a stylish pizza that is normally not on the bar (something snazzy instead of cheese or pepperoni) Cool layout since the remodel, very pedestrian friendly and they even serve Gelato now which is hard to find in Seattle. If you want a bottle of beer (or a pitcher) they actually have it to go with your pizza pie, I like the tangerine flavored italian soda in the round bottle. I have always liked the staff and the tall bench area is cool to sit at. Known for their newspaper on a clip, free paper to read while you eat, just hang it back up when you are done. Pizza is super thin and the sauce is my favorite. Go on a nice day and they might have the doors open to the sidewalk. Don't forget to put money in the meter, they ticket heavily on the main street Broadway. Fantastic pizza by the slice in a funky neighborhood, good people watching too.

  • Silvia A.

Fresh, interesting ingredients are what I like about Pagliacci's. It's not the best pizza ever, but you could certainly do a lot worse.

    (4)
  • Rick L.

I've heard about this pizza place from a bunch of friends before I ever came here, ranting and raving about how good the quality and the cost was, etc etc etc. I really wasn't impressed! Places like this give off that snooty "real italian food" image, but totally lack any authenticity at all. They didn't have any basic sicilian pizza types, much less their quality of dough, cheese, and meats were very low-quality. I'm never eating here again. If you want GOOD pizza, go to "Mad Pizza" or just order Pizza Hut at home. (Either way it'll be better.)

The slices are good and the atmosphere is casual. They had a good selection of pizza and other stuff to eat for very low prices. I only wish the pizza had been a little warmer. I guess I could have had them heat it up for me. Not that big of a deal.

Consistenly good and decently priced. This is one of Seattle's best pizza places to go. I usually go for a half order of the pasta salad, a slice of pepperoni pizza, and coca cola when I'm in a pizza mood.

"The absolute best pizza I have ever had! Melts in your mouth, and the pagliacci salad is amazing as well! You cannot make a trip to Seatown with out trying it...oh and you have to go to the actual location, its not quite the same experience delivered."

The broadway location was remodled a few years ago and it's great in the summer when the whole front of the restaurant is open air. Despite what all the east coasters say, Pagliacci is damn good pizza and the pesto salad is one of my favorite foods ever. We onced asked what they put in it to make it so good. . .the girl working said we probably didn't want to know, but we really did and she told us. What was it you ask? Miracle Whip. Pagliacci Rocks!!

Not the best pizza place ever, but cheap and easy for a quick bite to eat. Try the prosciutto pizza if you're in the mood for something different.

yum-yum...love the chopped salad (even though this is a pizza joint). It would have been five if the pizza was served a bit warmer.

After little over a month in Seattle, Pagliacci made me a lifer thanks to their awesome customer service -- and pizza, of course! Most importantly, they have some of the best pizza crust I've ever had, and the ingredients are amazing. While this alone should warrant a glowing review, my customer service experience there last week was one of -- if not the -- best I've seen. The weather was particularly nasty last weekend, so I ordered a delivery rather than make the 20-minute walk up to Broadway and get soaked. It was a small order -- just enough to snack on with some Moscows on a dreary Saturday -- and I was in no rush, so I didn't mind the 70-minute estimated delivery frame. I didn't even notice until my boyfriend got home that the 70-minute window had just approached 120 minutes. Again, I was in no rush, but I called just to check in, only to find an extremely apologetic and courteous staff who promised to rush my [newly comped] delivery. Not only did they rush it in 20 minutes at no charge, but they sent a gift card as well. I wasn't upset or anything -- they didn't have to do any of that by an means -- but they did anyway, and I was extremely impressed by the lengths they took to ensure I'd be taken care of after waiting. Kudos again to Pagliacci for A++ customer service, and A+++ for delicious pizza!

3.5 stars! Pagliacci Margarita Pizza is mah jammm!! Unfortunately, this location can be frustratingly inconsistent -- bordering from alright to wonderful. After eating their margarita pizza as many times as I have, I've concluded that the goodness and inconsistency in taste of the pizza comes down to 3 factors: 1. salt grain count (them ore the better) 2. olive oil on top (awesome!).... orrrr not, when forgotten (not so awesome) 3. cheese and basil placement and quantity Unfortunately, these are also the easiest things to be inconsistent at :( Here's the other rub... You might say (when placing your order over the phone -- yes, Pagliacci delivers... 45 minutes seems to be the average amount of time), "I want a salad without any dressing," but, when it arrives, you will find that it is indeed a salad, however long after the delivery guy has left, that it also has dressing. DAHH!!! YOU HAD ONE JOB...! ONE! JOB!! If I didn't like their pizza so much, I'd probably dock them a star for careless service... but it's still some of the best damn pizza you'll find in Seattle (aka the closest to real East Coast pizza). Mama's runs a close second.

I've been a HUGE fan of Pagliacci for almost a decade now (since 2006) and have had an addiction to the Spinach Chicken pie the entire time! But more impressive than the great food you offer, is the customer service your company provides. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad interaction or experience with an employee of yours. I felt the need to express my appreciation for this company today when I called to order delivery (yes, spinach chicken again!) and was greeted by Bryson. He by far stood out above any other employee that I have encountered at Pagliacci and that is saying alot, considering the constant exceptional service I have received in the past. I myself have always worked in the service industry and my expectations of service are quite high. Bryson exceeded those expectations, was a pleasure and brought a smile to my evening. Everyone can use more smiles and I thank him for effecting my day with one! Keep up the great service and amazing eats! Sincerely, Your Biggest Fan (Spinach Chicken Girl) Jennifer deQuilettes PS: My roommate/bestfriend ordered from Pagliacci as well back in May. she was so impressed with the service, that she felt the need to post about it on Facebook! Way to spread the word about you guys! Here is what she said: "How's this for customer service!?: The Pagliacci telephone guy answered the phone by saying "Is this the fabulous, one and only, wonderful Miss Sarah?" and then concluded by telling me that I should "Kick back, crack open a bottle of wine, put on some Netflix, and relax while I wait for my pizza to arrive... because you earned it". -- feeling entertained at Pagliacci Pizza Delivery & Restaurant."

I'm a huge fan of Pagliacci's, especially the 12th Man (I'm not even super into meat-y pizzas, but it is *amazing*) and the various specials. It's especially great that I can buy by the slice (since I often don't want pizza for the next month). It's a favorite local and I haven't had a bad experience yet with the group there.

Love the New York style pizza but the best thing on the menu is the centioli which is kind of a thin crusted garlic cheese bread

  • the S.

Seattle-style done consistant with great chef's specials. Love their delivery, fabulous customer service, love their gourmet toppings, love that they are the hometown champ [well earned]. Great combos, great fresh rich-tasting toppings. Love the centioli and the gelato as sides for delivery. Big fan of the veggie combos and anything of theirs with garlic. Their large is really a large. And yes, it's hells of expensive. You should certainly know that going in; this ain't no crapass gets-their-toppings-all-from-corporate-commisary-cans Dominos... this is high-labor high-end pizza. As a former NY'er: Those comparing seattle-style pie to NYC pizza need to get their heads on straight: that's like comparing a true NYC deli sandwich to a Subway™ sandwich, or a cup of Vivace to a cup of Dunkin: they are hardly the same species, and should be reviewed quite separately.

I grew up hating pizza and that's probably because the only delivery joint where I lived was Pizza Hut (gag). After moving to Seattle my friends introduced me to what has been missing from my life, Pagliacci. My first ever pizza from here was the seasonal special, the Salumi. It was incredible, cured meat from Salumi, roasted fennel, and ricotta cheese. Just plain tasty. Some of their other great offerings that go well with their pizza is their gelato and salads. Pizza and gelato, what an ingenious pairing. Oh on a side note, one time they messed up my order and delivered the wrong pizza when I told the delivery guy that there was a mistake, he quickly apologized and told me to keep the pizza and he would be back in a flash with the correct pizza. Needless to say I tried the pizza and it was just as awesome as the one I ordered. I had ordered the spinach chicken but they gave me the chicken primo. Now the chicken primo is one of my top faves all because of one glorious mistake.

It's big. It's pizza. It's busy. I like their food. It's Broadway. I really appreciate what they do in terms of conmmunity development. This one is a bit too busy for me, but the service s fine. Imagine how much work and how many people that work there and how many people who go through their lines.. YIKES

Def my favorite pizza while in Seattle. The crust is thin, but chewy, and I always order a cheese or if I am wanting toppings, I'll go with the specialty pie called the Brooklyn Bridge. They take a lot of care to have the finest ingredients and even offer gelato! A tip if you sign up for their newsletter via email... they will always have a "frequent pie-er" that you can ask for upon ordering for delivery/take-out that could mean a free salad, gelato or couple bucks off. Love it!

  • jay w.

So-so pizza. The crust was a bit over-salted and the toppings under-salted. I enjoyed the cheese pizza was the most... the fancy pizzas didn't have really deep flavors.

    (3)
  • Sarah B.

I'm from New Jersey and can't help but be extremely picky about my pizza. This is hands down the best pizza in Seattle. The crust is how it should be and there are always cheese bubbles. Mmm, cheese bubbles... All east-coasters in Seattle are grateful for Pagliacci's! My only suggestion is to serve garlic knots :)

So here's the deal I started working here because I'd been going there several times a week. I worked here for nearly 3 years and I still go to this location at least once a week. It's good. Really good. If the slices look like they've been sitting a while ask to wait for the next pizza. There's usually one coming within the next ten minutes or so. The toppings are TOP quality. (the pepperoni is Hormel but other than that....) the company, while corporate, really goes out of it's way to use top ingredients. They're constantly monitoring flavors and trying to make great new flavor combos. The salads are great. And the service is wonderful. Everyone has fun and tries to engage the customers. Like I said, if you walk in and things don't look fresh, it's a fast moving place and definitely worth the wait.

The Seasonal pizzas are what it's all about! I can't stop raving about every single seasonal offering they have. Pagliacci is consistently great, tasty, and incredible. The best delivery pizza I have ever had, anywhere. (Get it extra well done for a nice crispy crust.) The sauce is a bit heavy, but a great balance of flavor and volume.

  • Eugene L.

Expensive pizza but worth it. Super thin crust, plenty of sauce and gooey cheese. You'll have a mess if you eat with your hands. Something about their oily recipe is just delicious. It's not the powdery crumbly bottom like real New-York style pizza. But it is thin crust. It'll leave an orange-yellow pattern on your plate that you will want to lick up. Every day they have a couple of options for slices. Saturday is super mushroom day. That's pretty much all you have to know. Saturday is super mushroom day. Walk in, order a super mushroom slice, pay the slightly higher price than you were expecting before you came in, drop a little red pepper flake on it, and get whisked away to flavor country. Once you're done, you can go order another one to eat, and another slice to go. I'm almost positive that that's what other normal people do, too, right?

Consistent and tasty neighborhood pizza spot for your quick pizza fix. You know you love pizza when you preorder online. The online order time is always right on its quoted time too. Great customer experience and open late on the weekends! I love the ease of customizing online. Try their pagliaccio salad too it's delicious :) It's dangerous that I live across the street from here.

The Bottom Line on Top: Pagliacci Pizza belies its ubiquity by consistantly producing the best pies in Seattle. The Review: Seattle is a town with wonderful food options, but outside of a few artisan outliers such as Delancey, Serious Pie, and Paxti's, the pizza scene is somewhat lacking. Most of the casual family pizza places serve an inferior pie and worst of all, they seem not to care. Enter Pagliacci. Serving a thin crust pie that borders on NY Style without infringing on any copyrights, this place passes my test of being delicious and flavorful PLAIN CHEESE pizza. Beyond that, they offer a fresh and rotating cast of delicious toppings, foremost among them for me, Salumi's Spicy Pepperoni. Prices are somewhat high, near $30 for a tricked out pie, about $20 for a plain cheese. Despite this, the obvious care and consistency, along with the high quality of ingredients... right down to the dough, sauce and cheese, make this a worthwhile weeknight splurge or an office pizza party solution for any company that actually cares about its employees. Delicious by-the-slice, even better as a whole pie, Pagliacci Pizza's Broadway Seattle location has yet to let me down in the many (many) chances I've given them. Bravo!

I don't know what was up with the staff today but rude comes to mind. I waited my turn in line then the female behind the counter decided she would skip me and take everyone else's order. I finally walked out without ordering and yes she knew I was next in line. It doesn't matter if the customers behind me were your friends. F- on customer service.

Price is high but quality is too. I've been eating at Pagliacci for over 10 years and the quality has only improved since. Price is a little steep as I usually order pizza for delivery. Delivery is the easiest thing in the world after you have done it once as they remember your phone number and order. Sometimes scary hearing them tell you things you don't remember haha. My go to is the agog primo with spicy pepperoni

    (3)
  • Valerie W.

Spicy chicken salad = LOVE Even their smaller portion is quite large and more than enough for one person. And yes, it is indeed spicy! They pre-mix their salads here so you may want to ask for dressing on side if they can. Mine had a bit much. Everything is good here. Pepperoni pizza was a touch greasy but everything is fresh, crust is a perfect blend of doughy and crispyness, really can't go wrong here. Plus, they have the soda machine that can make you a kajillion different flavors. Prices are fair but a touch pricey if you are ordering more than a salad or slice. Staff is great. Place is clean and it's a great stop for lunch or dinner.

    (4)
  • Alaina W.

My favorite pizza in Seattle. I don't care what you say. Aside from the love of the crust and the AGOG, I love their consistency. I can come to any of the stores, expect the same thing, and GET the same thing. Thanks, guys. The staff here are always friendly and helpful... without being cheesy and lame. This is the closest location to work, so I often hit them up on the days that I drive in to work for a few slices of breakfast AGOG.

We had Pagliacci's pizza delivered while we were staying on a houseboat on Lake Union recently. We ordered the Summer Heirloom and the Verde Primo. I am a native New Yorker and very picky about pizza, and these were absolutely excellent. The Verde Primo was especially tasty (the Summer Heirloom a bit bland), but they had a nice crispy crust, great flavors, and were gobbled up by our hungry crowd.

The pizza is above average, but it's the artichoke/pea pesto pasta salad that makes this place so memorable to me. Certain foods make me miss Seattle, this being one of them.

What a nice surprise! We stopped in for lunch after seeing the sign out front. The best pizza we have had in a long while. Freshly thrown crust- we watched the guy in the back prep our meal. We had marinated chicken, 1/2 goat cheese 1/2 mozzerella, roasted garlic and fresh tomatoes- amazing! We also ordered a Pagliaccio salad which was ample, very fresh and had some surprising ingredients. Professional, helpful friendly staff too. We will be back!!

We've been eating Pizza Hut and Domino's pizza all of these years. Like chumps. We took a chance on Pagliacci and we'll never go back to those other chains. Pagliacci is seriously amazing. The crust is PERFECT. Even their delivery guys are nice and not weird at all. The only issue I've come across so far has been that it's not the best reheated/left-over pizza, but you can solve that by just eating the whole pizza when you get it. Anyway, Pagliacci is great.

    (5)
  • James R.

What makes a great pizza? Dough? Sauce? Cheese? Toppings? Actually, all of them have to blend it perfectly to have a great pizza. And here you find just that! I tried to replicate the dough at home several times, no success. So, I guess, I just have to keep coming back!

Okay, let's be honest: Pagliacci Pizza is the ISH. Their Pagliaccio Salad is always so good, and their selection of pizza slices is usually pretty decent at this location (though, if you want the really fancy pies, order delivery or takeout). I imagine there are a number of reviews that detail each of these in more detail, so I will skip over that and just comment on my most recent experience: I've grown up eating Pagliacci's and I would love to give it 5 stars except for a few things I noted during dinner there last night: 1) One of us ordered a can of Rainier, and the beer was not that chilled :/ It was not super busy at the time we stopped by to eat, so I feel like the employees should have paid more attention to keeping the drink fridges stocked. 2) When the pies are not fresh out the oven, sometimes they can get a little too crunchy after getting warmed up again right before you eat it. Unfortunately that was the case this time around, which was kind of a bummer because their crust is SO good but it was slightly over toasted/dry! 3) While we were in line to order our slices, a customer in front of us asked for slices of their cheese pizza. There were two slices sitting out, and the Pagliacci Pizza employee opted to throw them out rather than sell them to the customer! (He then got a new pie out of the oven for the customer.) On one hand, I appreciated that he wanted to give the customer "newer" slices... BUT if I had known the "old" slices were just going to be tossed in the trash, I would have a) offered to eat them for free or b) suggested they/I give them to a homeless person or something. Seemed like a waste. Sad face. Other than that, Pagliacci's is always solid. Not the cheapest pie around, but it makes my belly happy. If you're ordering your own pies, I recommend the Brooklyn Bridge or the Parma Primo.

  • Marc M.

No way! How have I not reviewed this place before? Pagliacci has become integral to Seattle's restaurant scene and for good reason. While other pizzerias have come and gone, some might be viewed as being more hip or trendy, and others try to be extra fancy, Pagliacci keeps it simple with quality food, efficient service, and a welcoming atmosphere. There's just something that feels right about walking in, ordering a slice (or two), and spending a few minutes either with friends or by yourself. My standard order is a slice of pepperoni with a side caesar salad although sometimes I go crazy and get two slices! Salads are always made fresh right in front of you and there's always a steady stream of fresh pies coming out of the pizza ovens so you don't have to worry about your food being old and stale.

I want, WANT to love my local pizza chain, but this place falls short EVERY SINGLE TIME! Slices are supposedly a staple, but they only offer cheese and pepperoni (standard and yawn) consistently. The other slices consistently feature same ingredients. NO IMAGINATION WHATSOVER. All the makings of a decent neighborhood pizza joint, but zero creativity. Pull it together. Pizza ain't hard and when every local joint in a small town like Olympia boasts better pies, you best get to upping your game.

    (2)
  • Jsca N.

It was a decent pizza. I appreciated the variety one could order as well as toppings to choose from for building your own. It's pretty pricy. I think paying $13-$19 for a small pizza is a bit ridiculous. The quality of toppings, while not bad, doesn't warrant that price range. Very pleasant customer service when placing my order.

    (4)
  • Christine P.

I ordered this for delivery last night & the woman I talked to on the phone was so sweet & patient & ended up helping me chose a delicious pizza!! Even though I'm sure all of the pizzas here are delicious because this was quality! The delivery guy was super cool too, I just love this place

    (5)
  • Rebecca H.

It's just ok. I've had it a few times while visiting friends and it always seems soggy and limp. We get it by delivery each time and it comes quickly, with plenty of cheese and pepper. But I don't love it. It's just bland and wet, with lots of toppings. Eh.

    (3)
  • Arty Z.

It's pizza. It's not bad. But why would I want an insane clown (Pagliacci) making my food? Good thing my name isn't "Nedda" ...

    (3)
  • Dale K.

How chintzy can you get with toppings? I ordered the Brooklyn last night, savoring at the thought of the Cascioppo Bros. Italian sausage. The problem was that there was so little sausage that one slice didn't even have any. On top of very few pieces of sausage, some of the pieces were almost as thin as paper. I seriously doubt there was more than one ounce of sausage. Don't be fooled by the pictures on their website - that's definitely not what you're going to get. Kudos to the delivery guys, who are always great. The pizza crust and flavors are very good. If you're a minimalist when it comes to your pizza, you'll probably like this place. If you want more than the bare minimum, order from somewhere else.

  • Ashley A.

Every business messes up orders - it's part of running a business (especially in the restaurant industry). In my opinion, how a business handles a screw up is what makes them a great versus just another company. Pagliacci recently sent my order to the wrong address by mistake. To make up for it, they ncomped my order, rushed a new pizza my way and had the manager sign a thank you card I got with delivery. Some may think it's just a pizza joint, but I appreciate the personal touch. Their pizza is great and because they take pride in their service beyond being "just a pizza joint" they'll have my business for life. Thanks for the free pizza, Pagliacci!

  • Sierra M.

We ordered delivery. The delivery time was decent, about 35 minutes. We got the Brooklyn bridge because we wanted something with a little of everything but also the classic marinera taste. The dough was thinner than I like for a normal crust, I like fluffy crust. Otherwise, it was tasty and they were generous with the toppings. I do think it's overpriced.

This review is long overdue! Love this place! I've generally come in the afternoons, but have visited in the evenings. No matter when I have visited, the Pagliacci team is awesome! Friendly, helpful and fast! Salads and the slices are terrific! Restaurant and bathrooms are clean, and you always see someone out in the dining area cleaning off tables. Easy to order ahead to pick up and take home.

    (5)
  • Joe D.

Overated & overpriced. The pizza tastes alright and they have a fairly eclectic choice of toppings, but there at least a dozen local pizza places that taste better and are vastly cheaper. I just don't get the appeal of this place.

  • Howard R.

Really good pizza. Not too fancy and doesn't need to be, this place is perfect for a whole pie or just a slice or two. They have ample seating and are quick to get you out the door if you need to take it "to go". Recommended.

Pagliacci's pizza is the standard by which my family measures every other pizza place. My obsession with Pagliacci's began in the 1990's when I lived in the U district as a poor college student. A slice of pizza was a cheap, delicious, and filling meal. When I got married, my husband and I frequented the Pagliacci's on lower Queen Anne avenue, since it was close to our apartment. As the years passed and we had children, we found the Pagliacci's on Capital Hill and we have gone to this particular restaurant for years because our family loves the area. We have to drive all the way to Seattle from Sumner, to have Pagliacci's and we are willing to do it. We love the pizza that much. Pagliacci's is great because everyone can order what they like. They always have cheese and pepperoni for the kids, there is always a delicious vegetarian choice, and I personally enjoy the variety of Primo pizza choices they concoct. The sauce is not overpowering, the crust is the ultimate combination of chewy and crisp, and the amount of cheese is perfect. My favorite is the Pesto Primo. I have yet to find a pizza anywhere that is more satisfying. The only thing that could possibly be better is if Pagliacci's would expand and open a store in Sumner, which is where our family now resides. We think Pagliacci's would do great business here, with the total lack of delicious pizza within a 20 mile radius!

  • Sarah F.

Went here for lunch to grab a slice. Each pizza had only 1or 2 slices left. I'm guessing that meant it's popular or it's been sitting. I asked if they had any lunch specials. I was told, "we have menus". Not really a nice way to answer a simple question. Ok pizza. A bit over priced at $3+ for one small slice. Needs to work a bit on customer service. Hit or miss I guess. It'll be a bit before I make it back.

If you're looking for pizza delivery, this is definitely your place. Call once, give them your information, and every other time you call in for delivery you'll feel like a king, with Pagliacci as your fine pizza wielding butlers. Yes, their customer service is excellent. Remember to tip the delivery man! You can't really go wrong here at Pagliacci. If you're looking for a dinner for two, then get an 11 inch pizza, it really is enough. Pagliacci is more than happy to split the left side and right side toppings, so ask about that if you an your partner in crime disagree on the best pizza toppings. Also, don't just stop at the pizza. The Nonna's pasta is a cheesy delicious penne pasta that will give some of the better mac n cheese places a run for their money. It's a simple but excellent dish to go with your pizza if you're looking for a little something else.

  • Jim D.

Pagliacci's is ok... Nothing special, but there aren't really any other pizza options this far north on Broadway. Slices have a crisp, but not dry crust and the variety is decent. Pagliacci's prices are a little steeper than they probably should be, but that's a luxury they're afforded due to the non-existent competition in their vicinity.

This is one of my favorite pizza places in Seattle. I usually will get a couple slices of pizza (Cheese, pepperoni, sausage). I've never been disappointed and now they have the coke freestyle machine (the cap hill location has it, not sure about the others) which makes the experience that much better. :)

We ordered a large Brooklyn Bridge pizza. The total bill was about $28 bucks. The pizza is normally topped with sausage, pepperoni, onion, mushrooms, black olives and green pepper. We substituted pineapple for the green pepper. Delivery was quick and the delivery guy was very nice, as was the guy who took our order. Unfortunately the pizza was really not that great. While there was an abundance of toppings the pizza seemed to be missing cheese. I know that there was some...but not nearly enough. The crust was ok but pretty soggy. The sauce is flavorful. The sausage it's weird. I probably won't order from here again.

    (3)
  • Holly M.

I dream of a sausage, pepperoni and prosciutto pizza from Pagliacci!! I'm from Chicago so I can't give it 5 stars...if I were a Seattle native I probably would. :)

    (4)
  • Eppy T.

Horns of the beast! 6.66! Yes that is the total you'll get when you order the magical combo of a primo slice and a pepperoni slice. In my opinion nothing else is need except some black candles, a ring of salt and a cup of goats blood, but I digress. Pagliacci isn't mind blowing, it isn't awe inspiring, it isn't "I'll sell my cat's kidneys to science", inducing pizza. What it is however is satisfying in the way a pizza by the slice change should be. The process, swing in, ignore the employee offering you vegetables (salad), point and grunt at two seductively laid out pieces of pizza that tantalize you. pay, eat, relish. I hear they have salads...but frankly who's got time for munching on lettuce when you're busy summoning the dark lord.

Met up with Monkeys here. Good salad, good pizza. Crust is great and hard not to cast aside any extras. PAGLAICCIO SALAD - Green leaf lettuce, garbanzo beans, diced red peppers, kasseri cheese, salami, red onions and dijon vinaigrette. HAWAIIAN SLICE - Pineapple & ham, cheese over the best crust ever... So good, had to go back for another!

The only honest reason for no 5 stars is this: this is the best flat, greasy pizza there is. The integrity of the pie doesn't match the flavor by far, this is tasty even if it's runny. Texture eaters might have a fit, but palate eaters will rejoice at the relative purity of ingredients despite being flat greasy pizza. I've always enjoyed the service at this location, fast, friendly and efficient. I don't walk away from here not feeling welcomed at all, and that's saying something for the Hill. If you have to hit up a Pagliacci's, make sure it's this one.

PAGLIACCI! - MY FAVORITE PIZZA-FIX in SEATTLE! SIT-REP PAGLIACCI is a most AMAZING pizza find in Seattle to date, and I count myself lucky to have walked through it's doors for five (5) years now! At Midnight when I am power-walking through Capitol Hill from THE VOGUE, THE COMET TAVERN or even THE MERCURY, I am glad that there is a Pizza joint within the sphere of influence of Capitol Hill's BROADWAY that I really can enjoy and can grab a late night snack along the way. Well.....this is OFTEN along the way... (even NOT along the way - sometimes I get OBSESSED with this pizza-fix and I've walked up from Noc Noc on 2nd ave to here just to get the slice!) THE FARE This is a GREAT pizza! The selection of pizzas is not near as outstanding as LEDO's in D.C. or PIZZELLE's in North Beach, San Francisco (at the corner of Columbus and THEIR Broadway in SF). But then fair is fair, and I'm NOT in D.C. nor San Francisco at this particular moment and I'm thankful that they DO have both regular and veggie pizza slice options. So depending on my mood and whether I want a pesto based or tomato based slice, I will grab what looks good. Also should point out that Pagliacci's does an awesome evening of trivia on Thursday nights, and you can't beat half off beer on tap! W00T! TRADITIONAL & DELICIOUS I have to say the PIZZA is FANTASTIC. We got a rich cheese combination of mozzarella, parmesan and ricotta cheeses. The garlic in the pesto was fresh and quite tasty. Sometimes I'm pretty easy and basic: I love their Extra Pepperoni which is layers upon layers of pepperoni over mozzarella, and tomato sauce. I will never get tired of this basic formula. But other times, they may have a slice or two of the Brooklyn Bridge lying around, which is pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, peppers and onions over mozzarella, and tomato sauce. MMM MMM! You can't beat that combo either! But I would totally be remiss if I didn't share the other awesome pizza-pies that I've had here such as the Verde Primo which is loaded with Artichoke hearts, mushrooms, pesto, goat cheese, garlic and mozzarella on a tomato sauce. The Pesto Primo which is loaded with garlic sauce topped with fontina, mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, peppers and basil pesto The Goat Cheese Primo full of goat cheese, sun-ripened tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella on a garlic sauce. And all these pies you can order at your tables or for delivery as whole pizzas. It doesn't get any better than that! THE LOWDOWN If you are looking for that delicious, truly delicious and tasty Pizza-fix late in the evening, Pagliacci is the place and is an awesome find for to satisfy your late night cravings!

Great pizza and service! Ordered for an NYE party and the ordering and delivery person were super friendly and made sure the order was correct and delivered on time. My favorite was the spicy chicken pizza. Only thing is that it is a bit expensive but comparable to other pizza places in Seattle. Would order again! Thanks Pagliacci!

I stopped in at Pagliacci on Broadway a couple weeks ago. They're a Seattle institution, so I felt a little bit sheepish that, after living here for several years, I hadn't checked them out yet. I decided to stop in for a couple slices and see how they stacked up. They had quite a variety of pizzas, but I'm mostly vegetarian, which limits my options. I decided to try the veggie alfredo, and also a veggie medley. I wasn't very impressed with the alfredo pizza. The combination of the thick sauce, cheese, and crust made the pizza very rubbery. The flavor of the sauce seemed off too. It was very tart. Not exactly what I had in mind. The other veggie slice was better. It had broccoli, onions, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes. All in all a good combination. The consistency of the crust still felt a bit off too me, but it was decent. Overall, Pagliacci is an okay pizza place in a neighborhood with several better pizza options.

Pags on Broadway used to be my first stop when I lived out of state and came home to visit. This is the best pizza ever as far as my husband and I are concerned. We go to other locations from time to time, but for some reason the Broadway spot always tastes the best. They also have a great crew of employees. I miss living within delivery distance, but it's probably best for our waistlines! Definitely a Seattle standby.

Great tasting pizza and calzones! They're willing to make any item they can with the ingredients they have - major bonus! Love the crew...they're great!!

I'm surprised to see a 4 star rating for this place. I have tried it a few times out of convenience and the pizza is forgettable at best. I would actually say the take and bake pizzas from QFC across the street are equal or better quality (and much cheaper). Capitol Hill is a desert for quality pizza.

Average pizza. Expensive price. My hotel's front desk recommended this pizzeria. The medium "spicy pepperoni" pizza for $18.99, that I received was something between a Digorno and a Dominos, -much closer to Digorno. I wish I had ordered a Dominos or Papa Johns. I understand it's the trendy thing to go with a local chain but the locals are being duped. Hotel visitors, choose somewhere else.

  • Cori W.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while walking the Broadway stretch of Capitol Hill. As visitors from Portland we knew nothing of their pies but went with 2 slices and a beer. Both slices were fresh and a great example of NY style pizza. The crust was crispy but soft and pillowy. My favorite slice included a giant dollop of ricotta. Staff was friendly, the line moved quickly and the slices + beer seemed like a good value.

There is no reason to give Pagliacci Pizza less than five stars. This place is a staple of the Seattle pizza scene. Even before the Capitol Hill location was remodeled, it was a beautiful spot. This place could have a dirt floor and I would not think twice about eating every meal for the rest of m life here. They keep things simple. Pizza, pasta and salads. However, I usually only get two slices and some breadsticks. The pizza is priced perfectly, making it hard to go anywhere else for a slice in the area. The pizzas available rotate and it's fun to be surprised by what is offered. I have been here a over fifty times and I have never been disappointed. The service is consistent and friendly without Seattle snobbery. ...and they have the little ice that makes drinking a fountain drink wonderful.

  • Susan G.

Seriously the best pizza I've had in a long time. The crust was perfect, crispy but not too crispy, with just the right balance of sauce and cheese. I like the fancy Coke fountain in the Broadway location. The staff seems really good at their jobs. Even when the place was packed, it was very clean and no one seemed overwhelmed.

I have friends who say that Pagliacci is the worst pizza ever, I beg to differ because we all have different taste buds! My taste buds like Pagliacci Pizza and not just for the Pizza but the staff are always helpful and friendly. What I like most about this location is that you can walk in and get a slice or two of pizza or a salad without ordering the whole pie. The slices are good size, the crust is soft and chewy, the sauce is tangy but not sweet ! Also, they usually have a good variety of slices available to satisfy most appetites! For a quick snack or light lunch/dinner hit this place up.

  • Andrea E.

I love Pagliacci pizza. Yes it does cost more but I find that I am way more satisfied with a slice of pags than a whole pizza from dominos. Their crust has that tender middle but crispy outside and cheese that acts like cheese, doesn't look like plastic when it gets cold. Their customer service is better than the lower end stores as well. If you are looking for a great pizza come here, if you want something cheap and just edible go to national chain stores.

Burning hot garbage. I moved from NY, and man do I miss pizza. A friend told me that I should checkout Pagliacci's, "they have the best pizza ever." I can't believe this is what passes as good. This place would be out of business if it was in the northeast. It was kinda like ordering seafood in Kansas. I didn't think someone could screw up such simple ingredients. The lack of Italian influence on Seattle is very apparent. Positives: okay atmosphere, people were kind. Unfortunately I don't go for pizza to meet kind people.

  • Lolia S.

A popular place to grab a slice of pizza. They had four kinds (cheese, margherita, chicken & mushroom w/ tomato sauce, chicken & mushroom with white sauce) and they'll heat it up for you after you place your order. You can also order salad, grab drinks and get a scoop of gelato. They have shakers with parmesan cheese and chili flakes. * Chicken & mushroom ($2.79) slice: pliable thin crust, olive oil base, very garlicky, on the oily side, a decent pizza but a slice was the size of a regular slice of pizza, not the larger slices you typically get...one slice probably won't fill you up. They should charge more and give you a larger slice. Full size pizzas are also available.

  • Allan B.

Great salads and variety of slices. Always a good bet for a quick meal.

Pagliacci is quickly becoming my new dinner spot. One slice of cheese is only $2.25. They're open until 11pm, service is quick and friendly, and they serve by-the-slice all day and all night. The pizza is crispy, but also tends to be greasy. The pesto salad is bland, but I do like the peas in it.

    (3)
  • Celeste T.

Pagliacci has the best crust in all of Seattle - and I've had a lot of pizza. Of all the toppings, my favorite is the AGOG Primo, though they have a lot of other good flavors - the potato seasonal is a strange one, but extremely tasty! Their pesto pasta salad is also excellent, and I like that they have limonata to drink, along with Mexican coke, fancy cream sodas, and fountain sodas. This location is quite nice, with floor to ceiling windows that open up for air in the summer, and cute tattoo'd hipsters serving your pizza and salad. Couldn't ask for better ;)

Easily my favorite Seattle pizza! Great variety on sit down slices and salads. They were late on one delivery and took off $10.

Starving and you need to eat NOW? This Pagliacci is a good spot to head if you're in need of an immediate pizza fix. I have to admit though - the main reason I've been here is because I'm a huge Seinfeld fan and loved that they named this place Pagliacci. (More than likely it's not in reference to Seinfeld but nonetheless not totally unrelated..) Anyway - the pizza is good, the service is super quick, the prices are decent, AND they have Cherry Coke in their soda dispenser. Sweet deal! You don't always see that.

It's funny how people have such pride in the pizza from their hometown (New York, Chicago, etc.) aside from Seattleites. People who are transplants from one of these great cities come to Seattle and just bitch about the pizza, but when you are expecting "pizza" to actually be a Chicago style pizza or a New York style pizza and not just "pizza" as a type of food, then you are for sure going to be disappointed. Point being, keep an open mind and definitely don't expect Pagliacci to be New York style or Chicago style pizza, because it's clearly not; and definitely not trying to be. That being said, if you straight up just don't like it then, fair enough. I really like the pizza at Pagliacci. The crust style is thicker than the Neopolitan style thin crust pizza found at Via Tribunali, however definitely not as thick or dense as a deep dish pizza. The crust is thick enough to be chewy and thin enough so that you don't feel like you are eating a piece of greased up bread (not that greased up bread is a bad thing). The ingredients they use are delicious and they have a ton of different signature pizzas to choose from if you are ordering whole pies. Their Pagliacci salad is delicious as well as their bread-sticks! The Broadway location more often than not has excellent service; and they usually have a good selection of different pies ready, if you are buying by the slice. The pricing of the pizzas is definitely on the higher-end of the pizza cost spectrum, however if you read a little about the business you'll see that the reasons why (fair wages for employees, quality ingredients sourced locally, and other best practices by the pizza company) somewhat justify the extra cost over say a Dominoes pizza. Overall, I'm thrilled to have Pagliacci Pizza near me.

Excellent customer service and pizza! You know pizza is good if it's still tastes good the next day! The gal who took my phone order was very friendly and have me a discount as well! I ordered a Brooklyn bridge and a magharita both delicious! Free delivery!

  • Jennifer S.

Pizza is good, good beer selection. Loses two stars though because every time I've been in there little flies everywhere. Not only are they annoying and gross, I can't help but think that the place must be filthy to keep them alive. I've not encountered the same in other restaurants in Seattle! Its bad enough that I won't be back. Side note to the counter guys: just because its legal now, doesn't mean you should come to work so high you can't remember my order!

Pagliacci is always good and pretty much on point at most locations, this one being no different. This space is well used with occasional art galleries and expos being displayed around the restaurant.

Pagliacci makes one of the best pies in the Puget Sound area. If you are ever in the mood for a great, high quality pizza at a reasonable price, be sure to stop by Pagliacci Pizza. The menu selection features your standard salads, pastas, and pizzas, however the quality of their ingredients makes them a standout in my book. The Pagliacci Salad is a nice well rounded salad with a nice combination of lettuce, beans, cheeses, and meats with a very tasty dijon vinaigrette. Their pesto pasta salad is also a winner if you happen to be in the mood for pesto. The pizza selection is what you would expect of a pizzeria or you can opt to make your own selection. the quality of their ingredients is stellar and they make a fantastic tomato sauce complemented with a very good mozzarella cheese. The Salumi is a great choice if you are in the mood for meat with its spicy pepperoni which has just the right amount of heat to up the game just a bit. The Brooklyn is a sure winner for the meat lover as well with a great mix of italian sausage, pepperoni, and assorted vegetables. The ambiance of the Broadway location is really quite nice with the windows bringing in just enough light and life from the street while offering a respite of the urban Broadway living. The staff are efficient and very friendly. They certainly know their menu and are happy to oblige if you might be torn between a few choices.

I have been here a few times, mostly because I had a friend that lived in the area and it was convenient. To me, the pizza is good, but not great - If I was in the mood for pizza I wouldnt go out of my way to come here, but if I happened to be around, it would suffice. It has a thinner type crust which is good, and it makes for a good to-go pizza if you are looking for something for your football game vs. that crap fast delivery pizza. The atmosphere is cool and has always been busy and somewhat noisy, but not too loud that you can't hear yourself think. The service has always been good as well. I am pretty particular when it comes to pizza, so this is middle of the road for me, might be a little higher for most others.

This is my go-to spot when I'm craving a yummy slice of pepperoni, which happens about once a week. I'd have a gazillion check-ins by now but for some reason while I'm inside the restaurant, the yelp app always freezes. But for the internet interference, I'd be the queen of check-ins I'm sure! =) The perfectly baked crust has just the right thickness, the perfect cheese to sauce ratio and the toppings are delish! Their spicy Sicilian chicken salad doesn't disappoint either. It's a cool spot to chill out with a slice and read. And in the summer there are a few seats outside.

After going to a previous Pagliacci's, last month, I was eager to get me some of the best pizza that I've ever had. I've been craving that greasy cheese filling my tummy.... and so, it was an easy decision to say yes to dinner here this evening. Upon entering this establishment, I was happy to see the set up for ordering. Their salads and pizzas are right there to be selected for your dining pleasure. I didn't have to order a whole pizza? NOPE! I could just get a slice, and enjoy. To start, I went with their Chicken Gorgonzola Salad...... with a mixture of curly pasta, grapes, chicken, blue cheese, walnuts and a lovely dressing of some kind. This salad was so good.... and I'm tempted to ask for the recipe, because I want to make this for dinners in the future. I'm not a huge pasta eater... but this delicious little bowl of yummy could change that. It was honestly like fireworks in your mouth with the different flavors all at once. They work so well together. I also had a slice of their Spicy Chicken pizza. Just looking at it made my mouth start to drool. OMG, it was just so beautiful. It was THE perfect mixture of flavors.... with spicy, a little tang, and just alllllll around heaven. The crust is perfection in itself.... and that's saying something coming from me. I'm EXTREMELY picky about my crust, and theirs is numero uno in my eyes (and mouth). Top it off with an ice cold drink, a bread stick and some marinara sauce to dip in, and you have yourself a perfect meal for one. We will definitely be back to this particular location again.

Man, I miss Pagliacci pizza. On my way out of town yesterday, I cast all sense aside, and followed the siren song of Pagliacci on Broadway. Rarely are things as good as you remember them being, but Pagliacci doesn't disappoint. I had a slice of pepperoni and a slice of prosciutto/arugula/oliveoil. DELISH! It's amazing, when you just don't mess with a thing, how it stays awesome. Thank you, Pagliacci, for not trying to futz with perfection. Also, the soda fountain robot machine is really weird and cool.

  • Chris M.

Pagliacci's is excellent by-the-slice pizza: + affordably priced + always warmed/toasted up in the oven before being served + friendly employees + bottles of root beer on ice at the cash register I have to admit: the only thing I've eaten here other than "2 slices of Cheese and a Root Beer, please" was a slice of colorful pesto/ricotta/pepper pizza which was pretty nasty, but those two slices of cheese and a root beer are worth 4-stars every time I get them.

  • Katie W.

Service was quick and the pizza was pretty good. Definitely more worth it than dominos or pizza hut.

Thank you Pagliacci for never failing to disappoint. The food is amazing, served up fast, and they serve Thomas Kemper Root Beer to boot. The house salad, the "Pagliacci salad", is excellent. The thin-crust hand tossed pizza is the best in the Pacific Northwest, period.

Ah, hell, 4 stars it is. I have never been a huge fan of their pizza. With all the goosing that goes on about the best pizza in Seattle, I say horsefeathers. There's way better pizza and lots of it. BUT, that pagliaccio salad makes my wiener wiggle. Their other salads are great too. So is their ice cream. The Broadway location was about a block away from me for many years and a favorite of my daughter's so we ate there a lot. They have beer on draft. Ding! I suspect the hipsters that work there must get extra antidepressants as part of their employment package because they usually are pretty friendly. I am a fan, just not of their pizza.

My god... I had forgotten how good this pizza is! Tonight i ordered a chicken & spinach pizza no idea what to expect with the spinach... Menu says they add it after cooking and that made me think...crunchy... Well I was pleasantly surprised to find a perfect pie with a lovely layer of softly wilted spinach on top of delicious grilled chicken and tender mushrooms... The added spicy kick of this pie is to die for. My new favorite!

I hope I don't get chased out of town for this, but I just don't get the Pagliacci hype. I ate at this location with my family once several years ago and was considerably un-impressed. I don't remember much beyond the incredibly greasy pepperoni pizza and so didn't feel could write a review until I tried them out again...which I wasn't eager to do given that I wasn't too pleased the first time. However, some friends ordered delivery last night and chose Pagliacci's. "Oh good," I thought, "a chance to correct or confirm that initial impression from years ago." As you might guess from the rating, the result was confirm. We got a meatlover's pizza and a half-cheese, half-chicken pizza. I did not try the cheese. The little pepperoni-like rounds of sausage on the meatlovers were interesting, and the pepperoni not as greasy as what I remembered. However, there was nothing particularly appealing about it either, and the crust was thin and not much better than cardboard. The chicken pizza had so much black pepper on it, that I nearly choked, and I LOVE black pepper. No online ordering, which is always disappointing to me, and they seem to run their delivery out of a centralized location, which is a little weird and leads to strange occurrences like no lunchtime delivery in Bellevue. Points for quick delivery, but I think I'll have to be the odd one out this time and say no thanks to Pagliacci.

I came here for the first time, because I had a "buy a slice, get one free" coupon. I just got the pizza that was out in the store, since I didn't see a menu up on the wall anywhere. This pizza was good, but tasted like it had been sitting out for a while (it was kind of a slow night). I had a plain cheese slice, and my boyfriend got pepperoni - there wasn't much to choose from sitting out, and the cheese was dried out on top, even though it had been reheated. After I ordered and got food though, I noticed they had fold up paper menus! All their pizzas look amazing - I really wish they'd let me know what my options were before taking the ones that were sitting out. I'll be back to try one of their freshly made creative pizzas.

So, it's been a few years and now I have a toddler with a food allergy. A pretty serious one. I have a lot of trouble getting restaurants to write back to me regarding ingredients and allergen cross-contamination. Not the case here! The customer service staff took the time to look into what was available at the delivery kitchens and the restaurants and sent me back one of the most thorough and helpful replies I've received from any restaurant. My son loves the pizza here and the people watching is even better. The staff are always friendly and the service is, of course, quick. We'll always be back for another slice.

This place is very convenient and pretty decent in price if you are just popping in for a slice or two. Getting an entire pie is a little pricey but they do make a damn good pie. For slices they generally have about 4 different types of pizza you can get which is pretty decent for slices. Their bread sticks are pretty ok and the workers are always friendly here. Great place to stop in if you need a quick, cheap bite to eat.

This place was yummy! They had all kinds of different pizzas! and its a total chill place and their open late too which is cool when your woundering the streets and become hungry LOL!! again I'm a gravy fan, so the sauce was ok not all that great, but it was good! I would totally come back here! P.S. This is a pizza chain in Seattle, but this specific spot is the SPOT!

I love you guys. Love love love you. I love that you know my name when I call for pizza. I love your specials, your salads, and that you mailed me a free pizza coupon just because. I do not love that you do not yet deliver to the Central District or Madison. Now hurry up and finish the new store on Madison so I can get delivery again.

Greasy pizza? I think not... The crust is flavorful and thick, which I think balances out any "greasiness" that may have been going on. I ordered a slice of Bacon and Leek - which you'd think would be greasy - but it was just right, and there was so much thick crust at the end, i actually dipped some of it into olive oil to finish it off. I tried some of my friend's Primo, which was also good, but definitely not warm enough even after going through that heating rack. We added pepper flakes and other toppings to our slices, which perhaps means there was something missing flavor-wise in the as-prepared slices, but the toppings were fresh, combos were interesting, sauce was good, and dough was tasty. If the only downside was the need to add oregano and pepper flakes, I'm not complaining. Staff was friendly and someone was walking around for our entire stay, tidying up. The place was nice and clean as a result =) I don't think this is quite "the best pizza ever" but it hits the spot. Will be back.

I just stopped by there on Saturday for the first time in about 8 years. Wow has it changed. Not just pizza and mainly pizza by the slice anymore. Pasta/salad bar, calzones, cannoli, fancy drinks. I started feeling like I needed to eat my greasy piece of pepperoni pizza with my pinky up. Though all we had was pizza and it was pretty good but fairly average. Prices were fairly average for pizza at least. However a tiny cannoli was over $4 and a personal calzone was something like $7. One major drawback, someone was hogging all the Parmesan. Puff, puff pass man! You're messing up the rotation. We couldn't find any on the tables or bus stations close to us. Plenty of pepper flakes and something that looked like oregono or italian seasoning though.

  • Charlene C.

is the fuss all about? Our pizza was cold when we picked it up (despite the fact that we'd arrived 10 minutes earlier than they had suggested ) and the toppings were added after the pizza came out of the oven--so no yummy cheese melted over them.

I like pizza. Pagliacci makes good pizza. They also offer things to eat that are not pizza, but I'm generally there for some pizza by the slice.

  • Chris W.

Friendly staff, very quick delivery (they also take note of regular customers and offer specials!), good product. Their ingredients are excellent, the crust a good balance between crunchy and chewy, special orders (like extra toasty cheese) are taken, the cost is reasonable. Definitely the best and most reliable chain I'm aware of. If they offered some sort of garlic-butter dipping sauce, I'd have a hard time not choosing 5 stars. I'll say 4.5 otherwise.

Pagliacci is always good--almost very good--but never great. However, when you're in a hurry, it's some of the best fast pizza around. They have good beer on tap and the staff is always nice no matter which location you visit.

  • Kat F.

Yes it's pricey but you get what you pay for and the pizza is fantastic. Good tomato sauce that doesn't taste like an aluminum can, nice chewy crust and an excellent toppings-to-cheese ratio - all things I look for in pizza. You also get what you pay for in regards to service. The people who answer the phone are unfailingly polite as are the delivery drivers who always ask if you would like to look at your pizza before they leave to make sure that the order is correct. Currently they're doing some crazy frequent-buyer (or is it pie-er?) program where you get deals on stuff when you call in your order. Makes me want to call in more often. Ach! The gimmick has worked!

I must be the only person who lived in Seattle who does not think Pagliacci is very good. When I think about their pizza, the phrase "I've licked cardboard that tastes better" comes to mind. The ingredients are never very fresh, the crusts are super-thin and boring, the prices are incredibly over-inflated for such horrible pizza - of which there is absolutely no taste. Seriously, you can not taste anything, save maybe for feta. Pagliacci also seems to attract the most snobby of slice slingers on the planet and I truly don't understand the pretentiousness. I've never experience a single pleasant person working at any of the PP's in all of Seattle and I've been to half a dozen. (Usually dragged there by friends.) If you have to choose between a 7-11 day old hot-dog and Pagliacci, I'd say go with the former. At least you'll have some flavor and have a friendlier experience from the counter.

Not only do they make good pie but seriously, some of the best hiring in terms of customer service. The girl working on 03/29 at night taking orders for Seattle was attentive, responsive and honest. She gave good suggestions, she was intelligent and unscripted. The delivery drivers are also polite and friendly. The pizza is amazing but what takes it to the next step, above three closer and less expensive pie makers, is the customer service. Well done.

Want a great place to grab a quick bite on a work/school break or with some friends?..this is the place to go! Their pizza is soooo good! A little bit pricey but definitely worth it for the taste factor. Their crust is thin and soft and the cheese, sauces, and ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. You can sit down, take it to go, or even call for delivery. If you aren't into pizza, they have really good salads and gelato as well for dessert. yum! You can also grab a beer with your pizza as well. They heat up every slice you order so its nice, gooey, and hot and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. I recommend checking Pagliacci Pizza out! ps- you guys are awesome already with your menu..however, if you made a philly cheesesteak pizza, that would be even more awesome!

I can say that I've been going to this specific Pagliacci restaurant off and on for almost 20 years. Crazy! I saw it go through improvements and remodels, staff changes and neighboring business changes. (see pictures) I started grabbing a slice here when I was just starting college at Seattle University down the street in 1990. Now I swing through whenever I'm in need of my favorite comfort food and a does of nostalgia....a quiet afternoon reading the Stranger, Seattle Weekly, and people watching while eating my favorites...a Pagliaccio salad (light on the onions) and a slice of the agog or spicy chicken if they have it. Yum. Please don't ever leave me! ;-)

If it weren't for the battle to find parking, we would visit this place MUCH more often! Such a great place to go if you are in the mood for pizza, especially if you are only going in a slice and maybe some salad. Quick, easy, reasonable, and very friendly staff.

If you like super greasy tasteless pizza, you'll love this place. This is some of the worst pizza I've had in a long time. We had two pizzas delivered and both were bad. When the cheese pizza sucks, it's all gonna suck.... Not sure what the folks who wrote positive reviews were eating, but they might want to go to NYC for a bit to try a real pizza because this, place ain't it.

My absolute favorite, #1 pizza! I've been here a bazillion (250+) times over the years, and *NEVER* have had a negative experience... "stellar" customer service isn't a deal breaker for me, it's always down to the nitty gritty: the food. But I have to say that everyone I've ever encountered was nothing but courteous, kind, and completely accommodating. It's kind of like they work in a consistent team with the same upbeat vibe. But what is numero uno for me: the food! I've never strayed from my same order I always get: a small Paliacio salad with a little extra dressing, 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza, and 2 breadsticks with 2 marinara cups. To sum it up: pure heaven. If I come in and the pizza is down to a few older pieces, I always request fresh pieces, they write down your name, and the 5 minute wait is fine with me! The huge, individual slices, thin crust, with their melty cheesy goodness, and exquisite sauce, and the euphoric buttery crust... some people don't like the crust of a pizza, I'm a huge bread girl, so that's like my favorite part lol... well, not totally hehe. Pagliacci's is at the absolute top of my list of favorite pizzas, and if you're ever in Bremerton try Tony's pizza (that's number two). I love Pag's Capitol Hill location, but the U-District one is just as good and accommodating. Love you guys, and will remain Pagliacci's #1 fan and customer for life!

Great pizza. Consistently good. The only downside is they don't have a huge selection to those from if you're ordering by the slice (usually 3 or so when I go there in the late afternoon). But oh well, I am a really boring/traditional pizza eater, so it's no big d. Occasionally the wait staff sort of hurry you along and aren't usually talkative/very warm. But again... the pizza is fab, go here for a classic slice of pizza in a clean, open setting. I nearly forgot one of my favorite reasons to go: their crushed ice in the drinks! SOOOOO AWESOME.

A friend of mine recommended Pagliacci's after he heard I was visiting Seattle. He's normally right about places to eat, but Pagliacci's was to me just OK. Parking wasn't too difficult and it was on a Saturday night. The place was empty, but for two couples and man riding solo in the back. The place is pretty big and the high ceilings make it less intimate and cozy than I would have liked. There were very few options for pizza slices - cheese, pesto and ham & sausage. It was a quick warm up in the oven rather than sitting under heatlamps all day. Each of us ordered something different. The pesto pizza was ok and was cold by time I got to my seat. The guy who rang me up seemed to have a bit of an attitude after he saw my California ID. I'm hoping it was just a coincidence and he wasn't really that shallow. Prices were OK. Crust was OK. The pesto pasta and peas my friend ordered was pretty good. I think I'll pass all together next time.

Umm. . . sorry you don't know anything about good pizza, Seattle. I mean that - everyone should get to try REAL pizza sometime. But considering I can pay $3.25 for a large slice of gourmet stuffed pizza in Chicago, which is the penultimate in pizza many try to duplicate and no one can; to pay that for a thin, small slice of . . . well, crust, cheese, and a little sauce . . . just doesn't seem so great. It did not taste anything special in the least, and you people raving about the crust . . . I don't know. Please leave Seattle at some point and try pizza elsewhere. Seriously. You'll thank me later. The service wasn't so hot either, so it's not a place I'll return, and frankly, I don't think I'll ever eat pizza in this town again.

I've eaten at Pagliacci's from time to time and at various locations. I think they make pretty good pizza. When I went to the UW, I'd regularly hit up the HUB and grab a couple of slices. I really believe this place is only good for slices since they certainly don't cut you any breaks on their whole pizzas when it comes to price. I dropped in to this location craving some fresh pizza, so I decided to forgo the slice options and go straight for an entire pizza. A 13 inch medium regular pepperoni ran me over $18. Holy F*cking sh*t! Don't eat at this place unless you're rich or want to end up in the Poor House real quick. This outrageous pricing is just not cute, despite Pagliacci's thriving reputation. It (the hype) really is just a mystery to me. Pizza is pizza. Even bad, cheap pizza is good. I would rather pay less than 1/4 of the price any day for one of little Caesar's Hot n' Ready's than a large here for $22 + tax. I don't care how good the pizza is. One thing for certain is that I don't get back rub with my pizza. If I did, perhaps I'd reconsider. Why the 3 stars then you wonder? The pizza is half-way decent, but very greasy. I would love to be able to afford this place. Not gonna happen though in this struggling economy. Goodbye Pagliacci's! I will have to opt for cheaper brethren.

Stumbling home after a very long day and night in Seattle, I was desperately hungry. Only problem was that it was super late, and my choices were limited. Place after place were long closed for the evening and I was about to hit QFC for some random snack when I noticed Pagliacci's was still open for about 15 minutes. Score! The guy in front of me snagged the last pepperoni slice so my options were the last slice mushroom or the last slice of cheese. I went with the cheese, figuring it would be the least terrible since I didn't know how long they'd been sitting out, and boy was I wrong! It was hands down the best slice of cheese pizza I've ever had! Fresh, yummy, lightly seasoned mix of cheese, perfect crust, not over-sauced, and a notable lack of grease. Thanks Pagliacci's!

  • Tony H.

I want to like Pagliacci more than I do. They use quality ingredients and they're reasonably priced, but the crust is what kills it for me. It's doughy, but somehow ridiculously chewy, to the point that my jaw gets tired after eating a couple slices. The fact that I'm relatively alone in my belief that this place is totally overhyped only saddens me further. There are plenty of better pizza places in this city. The only time I'll eat Pagliacci is when someone at the office orders it for a meeting.

When I lived on the hill..I was here at least twice a week for lunch/dinner. Seeing their 30 yr celebration, brought back good memories of stuffing myself back in my 20's, shit I can still eat a medium by myself. So we took in there great deal of 90 cent slices the other day. The pizza is still solid..the cheese was excellent..the pepperoni hit the spot, and the pesto salad was the clincher for a great lunch. Its nice to see this location giving back, and offering a great deal on the pizza. They have added ice cream..when did this happen..pizza and choc mint ice cream..dont tease a fat boy like me..thank you food gods.

    (4)
  • Thomas L.

Why do I keep ordering from them even though they are $30/pie (tax, delivery, tip)? Because they are the best option on the hill so far? no. Because they make good pie? likely. Hey, can't beat a system that when you call, they'll ask you what you want or give you suggestions, can tell you what's on the seasonal pie, and pull up your last order if you can't make a decision. I usually get their brooklyn bridge and sometimes some of the seasonal. It's a solid pick if you are in need/want of a pizza fix on the hill.

Think Twilight taking over little Italy and turning it into a fast food franchise... I know, amazing they can put together a pretty decent Caesar and above average pizza. It was just kinda rude to pack my lasagna to go while I kept waiting and waiting at my table with the stupid little number on the wire little thingy... I was hungry, damnit. My guess is their music (not that good btw but much better than Starbucks) doesn't allow them to communicate efficiently. Will I be coming back? of course.. when La Cocina is your competition, there's no competition.

I'm generally not a pizza person, but I was here for the free comedy night. I gotta say, Pagliacci was very nice to offer up their location to foster local comedy acts. I thoroughly enjoyed that experience, kudos to all the comedians that performed. Did not have pizza (since I'm not that kinda gal), so I ordered the calzone instead, with italian sausage. It was delicious, not to mention very reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend the comedy night, apparently it happens once a month, and I definitely recommend the calzone.

Happy 30th, Pagliacci. The Pagliaccio salad is still awesome; for some reason, eating slices in the shop seems better than delivery. I was in the store for that really small earthquake back in the mid-90s, but it was my first earthquake, so I'll always remember it. Everyone stopped talking, the lights began to sway, and some dude from California blurts out 'earthquake.' Right. The pizza. The veggie is great, the Brooklyn is great, the crust is the weakest link in the whole deal. With all of the advances in crust technology you'd think they would have figured it out by now. Ah, who am I kidding. If I need pizza delivered, this is the place that I call. Slightly expensive, but satisfying. Oh, and I read in another review that the leftovers weren't good - try this the next time. Put some olive oil in a saucepan, on medium heat. Put the cold slices of pizza in the pan, cover, heat until warm. 'Frying' the pizza in this way makes the crust crispy and resurrects the pizza the following day. Delicious.

When you want just one slice of pizza and a pasta salad.. Pagliacci is it for me! I'm in love with their pasta salads! I had the spicy one the other night and it was a lovely slow burning fire in my mouth, another to go please! You can't go wrong with their pizza either, it's what they're known for. Fold it up, and eat.. watch for the grease that runs down you arm tho.. It's suppose to be like that, hello.. They have a punch card too.. buy 10 get one free. OK! They have ice cream too.. I've never tried it, but I will one of these days

Your crust makes me happy... For some reason I have put off reviewing Pagliacci for some time now. I have dined here multiple times but... Not sure why, but I just didn't want to review them. I really enjoy their pie's but I find them a bit pricey. They have a wonderful chewy crust that I love to mow through. The sausage on the pizza seemed a bit lacking. It was so thinly sliced it was hard to taste. The sausage slices were about the size of coins. I personally think if they sliced it much thicker it would be a solid and easy improvement to an already great start. Im just gonna end this rant right here. Still wondering why my lack of enthusiasm to rate this joint???

The parking here absolutely sucks, but that kind of come natural for a business right on broadway. I had to circle the block couple time before finding a parking spot two blocks away. Their marinera sauce for the breadstick lacked of flavor, the service there was for the most part self servce which made me feel kind of ripped off since I tipped upon ordering our food then noticed we had to get our own waters, utensil, condiments, and clean up after ourselves(I thought should have been optional but everyone else did). The pizza was not bad but at the same time it was not great for the price at $25 for a large pizza, the salad was good(almost can't go wrong with tossing some lettuce!), and the gelato ice cream was good. Final thoughts: Not worth paying 90 bucks for 2 adults and 4 kids if you ask me

A yummy pizza whether delivered or eaten in. I don't go for the creative pies, I like to keep it simple with the Margherita and they do it well with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil, sea salt, and olive oil. Every now and then I'll add some black olives. My delivery service has always been prompt and the delivery people have always been friendly (even the ones who are afraid of my little doggie). Oh wait ... they also have some really tasty seasonal sorbets, etc. so be sure you hear about those.

Usually its really good pizza. Not the best I have ever had ....that would be (Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix,AZ ).... but the spicy pepperoni is awesome, and so are most of their specials. The upcoming pear spacial seems yummy. they do under cook sometimes, so ask for your pizza well done (the crust is much better that way) ....if they do mess something up though they offer to bring a new pizza or give you a coupon for a free pizza. Very nice people too.

I came here for the first time because the Event page mentioned the free comedy. And two blocks from my place! I was sold. This is a cute pizza joint with some interesting pies (along with some standards). I got a slice of cheese and a slice of the... was it the PAG Primo?... it had goat cheese, proscuitto, artichoke, and tomatoes. Both were very good. Since it was my first time here, I wasn't super clear on how things were supposed to flow. I went up to the cash register at first, and was totally confused when I didn't see a menu. I figured it out eventually, and kudos to the folks at the counter who were super patient with me while I was having a brain-dead moment. Or five. I always have a soft spot for places that support local talent. It was a great excuse to try a new restaurant, and now... new favorite pizza place! And so close by! I will be back often.

The holidays have inspired Pagliacci to make an above average pizza! The Pear Primo Pizza is simply delicious. Huge slices of pear contrast nicely with the Gorgonzola cheese and make me a believer in fruit on pizza. It's a Christmas Miracle!

As far as fast food pizza slices go... this is pretty decent, that is to say it's not Sabarro's. Not much more to say about that. It's like eating at a mall food court pizza place that's trying to be fancy.

I have a love for Pagliacci's Pizza!!!! By far the best NY style pizza in town. I've had pizza in NY (oh pls excuse the drool)...this is close! My favorites: Cheese, oh Cheese...Pepperoni...Brooklyn Bridge...Pagliaccio Salad no garbanzo beans (dressing on the side when delivered) Love the fact that they have martinelli's & ...OMG...Mexican COKE!!!! (real sugar) you cant go wrong!

Two nights in Seattle. Two nights of Pagliacci. The extra pepperoni was so good the first night, we just went ahead and ordered it again on our second night. The crust is exceptional! It has a slight crunch, and then some kind of chewy/tasty deliciousness that is hard to even describe. Words could not do this crust justice. Oh, and the Pagliacci salad was great too! Both nights they delivered to our hotel room in much less time than expected.

Got some of this the first day I came into Seattle and I can't really complain. Picked up one of the meat pies, and overall was pretty impressed. Just about all of it was eaten with few leftovers. Only gripe is that the price was a tad high for a medium specialty pie ($18) Wouldn't mind going back again.

walked in took a look at the pizza selection and asked for a recommendation girl behind the counter said, pesto primo i thought to myself, nasty. the other two looked better. So i looked at her and said okay, pesto primo. WHOA YUMMM. went back to try the other two options, hate to say it but she was right, pesto primo is the way to go!

Bleh. Expensive pizza by the slice. My pizza came out oozing with oil. Perhaps I am missing something, but Pagliacci's just didn't hit the spot for me. It took me 3 napkins to blot all of the oil out! The NY Style pizza is totally off, and again, $3+ for a slice of pepperoni is outrageous at this quality. I'd skip. I'd rather get a Little Ceasar's $5 pizza to go. Same quality.

I never thought that I would actually take the time to create a profile and then write a review but as I sit here wolfing down my Pear Primo I feel the urgent need to share how wonderful this pizza is. I was a little skeptical of the walnut at first and was going to go with another option but decided since this was a seasonal pie I needed to go for it. So do you. If you think Pagliacci's misses crunch well then this is the pizza topping for you. I personally love the slight bits of crunch at the crust with the chewniess of the rest of the slice. I also have to say that from calling to ordering to the delivery guy I have never had a better ordering experience. So friendly, so nice, so funny! I can't imagine ordering or going any where else.

I found the pizza to be so so. The service is quick, the product consistent. But the pizza never really tastes like magic to me. So ill stop in every once in a while, but I have never been wowed by them. You defiantly want the pizza that's RIGHT out of the oven if. If its been sitting out its much less tasty. Its interesting to come in and see the different combos though. And you can never go wrong with a slice of the pepperoni pizza. Yum grease and cheese.

Pizza by the slice and a salad ....... so that about sums it up here, I love that I can go and get a couple slices of pizza ,and a fresh salad, I like there pasta and pesto salad the most and they are always changing up pizza they have by the slice so its not the same old boring sausage and pepperoni that most places have I have always gone in for pizza so don't know about there delivery, but I see people all the time walking out with a whole pie and they have lemon-aid need I say more

I just had their delivery pizza last night and it was really good. I've never been to their restaurant. I don't think I'll risk ordering another pizza from someone else,,,I'll probably keep ordering my pizza from Pagliacci. Many delivery pizza can be a lot worse than them. Even their placement of the toppings were nicely done,,,I seriously felt so. My pepperoni and jalapeno slices seemed happily being at their spots. Also their pizza box had eco friendly messages printed on it, too, which is kind of cool.

If such a thing as a World Cup of Failure existed there would be several Seattle pizza places that could pool their collective lack of talent and have the Emerald City vying for gold. Over the past several months I've had absolutely abysmal luck in dealing with various pizza places. One place can't even get their act together to answer their phone during hours they're supposed to be open. Another, in a tone so rude it would have warmed the lump of coal Bill O'reilly affectionately refers to as his heart, demanded that I meet him outside of my apartment building. That doesn't sound too unreasonable does it? Well it shouldn't since that's not the unreasonable part. Once outside and face to face the driver seemed offended that I wasn't going to give him all of the $7 in change for my $33 bill. I'd read other reviews of this place and women complained that the drivers would try and intimidate them when they felt the tip was inadequate. This particular guy didn't attempt that shit with me but I imagine that had I been a woman or just a male the equivalent of a Fun Size(tm) candy bar he may have tried his luck. Now some may wonder, "what the hell does this have to do with Pagliacci ... their service is actually good ..." Well that's the point. In the ten years I've lived here, half of which Pagliacci was my go-to pizza place, I've not had a single experience that wasn't genuinely friendly and helpful. You hear that competitors? Little things like being courteous and answering your phone do make a difference. In the case of Pagliacci they answer the phone, and do so with friendly courteousness that seems extinct outside of door to door Mormon soul collectors. They also have the odd habit of showing up when they tell you they will ... or even sooner. In all, this reminds me of those cliche 80's films where the nerd gets the aid of a female friend who helps him transform into someone new in order get the attention of the hot chick who has ignored him his entire life. By the end of the film he realizes how vacant the hot chick is and how much he cares about the first girl. I suppose in this case I must not only be the nerd, but pretty god damned dumb too. After all, the nerd has things figured out in the span of a 2 hour movie. It took me five years.

I've tried Pagliacci's delivery and dining in and have had great experiences with both. If you are in the neighborhood and hungry this is a great place to stop. There is quite a bit of seating and you can try out a variety of slices at a good price. They also have some other items like breadsticks and calzones. They have some traditional favorites but also some more varied types of pizza as well and its great tasting. Its definitely one of my favorites here but I haven't made all of the comparisons quite yet to give them that 5th star quite yet. My experiences with delivery and carry out have been good, however, ordering a full pie usually runs between $20-30, but if you have the loot its worth it.

I love this place. OK. So I've been in Seattle for about a month now. (Actually, it's been exactly a month.) I came from a decent sized city in Indiana, but the pizza just wasn't good. (I never had a good slice.) Upon settling down in Capitol Hill, I rushed over to Amante. Not good, I'll probably write a review later. Anyway, about 2 weeks ago I ventured over to Broadway and upon the suggestion of my roommate, we went to Pagliacci's. Un-freaking-real. The last good slice of pizza I had was in Manhattan 2 years ago. Since then, I've been 3 times in the past week. I can see this being a 'buy a huge pizza once a week and horde it for myself for the rest of the week' place. I'll probably try other pie's around Seattle, but so far, Pagliacci wins. DEFINITELY try the regular Cheese, followed by a meaty combo or something, followed by the Gorgonzola pie. Omigod. They're definitely worth the 5, though they'd get a six (yes, I'd find a way), if they were open past 11 ... ... ..

When I'm in another town and want pizza delivered to my hotel room, I have to go through some processes, beginning with the Yellow Pages and then (if I have web access) Yelp and other web info. Both the Yellow Pages and their website pointed me to their votes on Seattle Weekly's annual reader poll. They've been so consistently voted the "Best Pizza" in Seattle by Seattle Weekly that the category last year was "Best PIzza (Besides Pagliacci)". What we needed was a good delivery pizza while Seattle streets were still clogged with snow. The guy that took our phone order paid attention and clarified that he had our order right. The delivery came to our hotel room sooner than promised. The best part of the pizza was the cheese - a rich mixture of mozzarella and some sharper type. In a delivery box, the crust was a little steamed but what do you expect? If it were a crisp, cornmeal crust, they'd get the fifth star. It's a great choice for delivery. Look no further.

This location rocks (ie BETTER than the others)! I didn't want to head home from the Hill and wanted to stop off- grab a bite- and read a little- when I spied this Pagliacci. The whole experience from ordering- to paying- to chillin' out was warm and nice. I got lots of smiles and a great slice of AGOG pizza. The AGOG slice (oil base- cheeses-olives-mushrooms-cloves of garlic) was good- the crust was my favorite part. The slice was a little old but that is what you get when you buy by the slice. Side note- My chair did seem like it was going to break at any moment just like the chairs back in high school that snapped when you tipped back in them. Interesting... Best pizza= No Good place to grab a slice and do some reading (while people watching OF COURSE!)= Yes

Dear Pagliacci Pizza, I love you. I love you and your quirky, indie but still polite and not at all indifferent staff. I love your Pagliaccio salad and that no one balks at the fact that I prefer it with no meat and half the dressing but order my slices with extra pizza sauce on the side. I love you so much that my lactose intolerant self takes anywhere between 4 to 5 Lactaids to consume your almighty goodness and fight the entirely embarrassing and very painful rumbly-tumblies that ensue after I consume cheese. My gluttonous, sadistic taste buds take the reigns when I'm ordering and add a pint of savory but all too damning coconut (and/or chocolate) gelatto so conveniently offered on your regular menu. Pagliaccis, you and me have got a groovy kind of love. But it is a love that can only be pursued within the sanctity of my own home due to the bevy of consequences associated with me consuming you. To sum it up, all I can do is close with these very apropos words, "Come on baby, make it hurt so good. Sometimes love don't feel like it should; you make it...hurt so good"?

Really people?! I've had better pizza in a mall. It's name was Sbarro and I was about 15 years old. This is not the best pizza. It's tolerable on an empty stomach, after you've been shunned by Domino's Delivery.

THIS IS THE REVIEW YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU READ: OK - so I'm a die-hard pizza fanatic from NY. I've tried a lot of pizza throughout the Seattle area, but have some insider knowledge about Pag's. Here is what you should know: 1) Pagliacci is now retired from the Seattle Weekly's Best Of polls because they won like 25 times in a row. I don't get why you should get pushed out of a race for being the best, but hey, not my decision. 2) Pagliacci was started by a family who really cared to create a great Seattle institution, and boy did they. About 7 years ago, the operation was sold to a few guys who also really care. By that I mean they go to Italy for research, they check the quality of the product on a consistent basis and they try to maintain a well-run company. 3) The phone number takes you to a call center, but this one is very much in touch with the pizzerias. This efficiency saves time all around, but you should make sure to have the person taking your order repeat the order back to you. If you hang up and realize you forgot something, just call back. 4) You have the option to leave your credit card number on file with them. It's secure, and you just have to give the last 4 digits when you call next. It's convenient. 5) They rotate specials every 6 weeks or so, in order to showcase ingredients in season. While this is fun, sometimes it's frustrating to have to wait 10 months for a favorite pizza. For example, the one I think is their best: Chicken Rosemary Primo - could be available all year. Perhaps it's because of how labor-intensive it can be. This pizza has nice potatoes, marinated chicken and red onion, but the combo is fantastic. 6) For some reason, Pag's, just like most of Seattle, undercooks their delivery pizza. It's often anemic looking. While you can order it well-done or ex-well-done, you may still end up with what's known as (ugh) "lightly baked". 7) This pizza is generally floppy. It's rare that it stands up to the toppings. Just beware that the more you pile on, the wetter it may be. 8) They use two different types of doughs, because delivery pizza has to stand up more because of the time delay. Both doughs are made fresh every day in their headquarters, and they are very consistent. Personally, I think that the dough that is available for in-house at their pizzerias (as opposed to the "delivery kitchens") is far superior. 9) Some items are only available in these pizzerias (the first/original being in the U district on The Ave, another one in lower Queen Anne, and another one in Bellevue - there are others, I think). The Quattro Formaggio is an example - it's FANTASTIC. This has gouda and fresh basil and also should be available for delivery, in my humble opinion. Some great salads and pasta entrees are also offered. 10) They used to offer the WORST breadsticks, but have recently switched to a local bakery and these are now AMAZING with baked-on cheese. 11) They can provide cold pizza sauce with those breadsticks or with pizza upon request on the side, which is so flavorful it could be thinned with some half-n-half to make stupendous tomato basil soup. You can also get their warm marinara sauce, which is kind of watery, though. 12) Always ask for the "Frequent Pie-er" - this is a little discount or freebie that changes all the time, like you can get a large Pagliaccio house salad for the price of the small, or free breadsticks, or 2-for-1 gelato. 13) Your orders are kept on file, so you can re-order your last one, or even go back to find a good pie combo you designed. 14) I often wish they would have customer contests to design a new pie. 15) They don't offer some ingredients that you can find elsewhere, like sunflower seeds, shrimp/prawns or meatballs, which is too bad. They claim it's because that's "not Italian", but it's not true because they have the Hawaiian pizza, etc. and shrimp is a Mediterranean staple. 16) Their Gelato is made by Gelatiamo. The proprietress, Maria, is skilled and learned in Italy. It's really good, but if you have ever been to Rome, you wish there were flavors like Perugina or chocolate cherry. The sorbet styles are dairy free, which is nice. And the chocolate mint, hazelnut and peanut butter are fabulous. 17) Pagliacci's prides itself on its stellar customer service. As long as you are doing all you can to order carefully and are reasonable, if you have an issue, they will respond. Don't be afraid to call back and give your feedback if you are sincerely disappointed by something. They do what they are able to rectify the situation. 18) The appetizer known as Centioli is named after the family who started the business. This is a super thin crust with a few toppings, and it's pretty nice, especially, in my opinion, if it's well-cooked. You may add toppings for a lighter type of pizza. 19) It's a rare thing to be requested, but you can have a crust stretched out super thin.

I wait all year for Pear Gorgonzola Walnut Onion Primo pizza - Oh, if only they would have it 2 times a year (how about Halloween and New Years?)

I upgrade them one star for a couple of reasons. One - I recognize that my willingness to continue visiting means something. Two - a rep sent me a message noting that they'll make the effort to prep things to request. We'll try that out and see what happens.

Pagliacci is one of the BIGGEST reasons I miss Seattle! My friends always complain that it's too expensive, but screw those cheap bastards, the AGOG pizza, the Pagliaccio Salad, & the Centioli are all priceless!!! Definitely Seattle's best pizza, IMO...unless you're more worried about the pennies in your pocket than the pizza on your plate. (And, BTW, even the WORST pizza in SF is $30 per pie.)

We love Pagliacci! We went last week on a Sunday afternoon, after going to the pride parade in downtown. We decided to avoid the junk food at the Seattle Center and to have lunch in Capitol Hill. Simple and good the pesto pasta salad. Great as always their pepperoni pizza. We tried the pizza with gorgonzola and fresh tomatoes that was also very good. It was a good choice to have lunch on Capitol Hill in a day that used to be the busiest day on Broadway.

I wish they would go back to making the white pizza... they never.. ever have it.. it's been about 3 years since i've had a white slice from them. That's personally my favorite of theirs. Oh well. Furthermore, the pizza itself isn't bad, however, the size of the slice is rather insignificant compared to the price of a slice... and the respective amount it actually costs to make a pizza.. i'm not impressed. I always get stuck with the little retarded slice... kinda like that little retarted leg on the end of a chicken wing. boo to that. Those slices should be discarded or "half price" to say the least. They need to make LARGER pies for the "take out/sit in" slices. The larger the pie, the less of a difference between the "smallest & largest" slices. Another thing I can't stand is the "DOUBLE PEPPERONI" WTF happened to the regular pepperoni? Putting one extra slice of pep on an already tiny slice constitutes DOUBLE the meat?-I think not. Their breadsticks are absolutely terrible. I think about 2 - 1/2 years ago they decided to switch up the recipe for them, and unfortunately it was for the worst. They use to be thick and crunchy and now they are doughy and practically tasteless. The same stand for the marinara sauce....it's gone downhill. Let's just be thankful their pies are always fully cooked ;)

i enjoyed my slices from Pagliacci, and were i to be a resident of Capitol Hill i would probably frequent the place... its not anything special, but i couldn't knock anything about the slices i got either. tasty dough, good sauce, toppings that are not overtly piled on making eating on the run impossible... just good, quality slices o' pie didnt have anything besides my two slices but it was a nice touch watching the employees making the salads to order... i say this because you order at the counter like a food court mall eatery so they could easily have salads pre-made waiting to be served, but they don't, so its a moot point. all in all, not bad... ive had much, much worse pie than this

Just in case some of you don't know - the Broadway Pizzeria is not a delivery kitchen. If you have Pag's delivered on the Hill, you are getting it from the 10th Ave. and Miller St. location. Also another interesting tidbit is that the crust is different at the pizzerias, as those pizzas may have to sit for longer than a delivery pie would. Maybe I should mention that I worked for the Pag Call Center for almost 2 years? That I ate the pizza on a daily basis? And that I still love it? I'm not thrilled with the recent changes to the bread sticks and dipping sauce. Yes, the old version could end up being a little dry, but they had more FLAVOR. Other than that, I honestly prefer Pagliacci over many of the places that deliver in Seattle. The pesto salad is always fantastic and the pagliaccio dressing is insanely tasty, the crust is a perfect blend of chewy and crisp and the sauce is just spicy enough for my taste. Their ingredients are high quality AND fresh, which means the pizza can get kinda spendy. Is it the best pizza on the planet? Maybe not. Will I still order it every chance I get? Absolutely.
