I work downtown and eat here at least once a month. Even when they are slammed you get through the line quickly and the staff is always smiling and courteous. The food is always quite good, fresh and reasonably priced. Do yourself a favor and order a dessert, I DARE you. :) I've had Kyle as my server a couple times recently and he is so lovely, very attentive and conversational, in a great way. He really sticks out as I obviously took his card to remember his name. Why not 5 stars? I had one very bad experience a month ago when they were slammed at Christmas time. 3 of us were shown to a tiny table smashed in a corner and about 2 mins later people left a booth, so we hurried over. A waiter literally yelled at us across the floor demanding what we were doing. (He thought he had just skipped the order line all together and stolen a table). We explained we had gone through the line and just wanted a better table. He was so very rude and told us we still weren't supposed to do that and we should return to our table immediately which had already been taken by another person. We were all flustered by his tone and thought it would blow over, but it didn't! The guy didn't speak to us at ALL after that...didn't even check to make sure we had everything, or needed anything. He slammed down our food and slammed the check down on the table...it was terrible. I didn't come back for a while because of this. The thing is, everyone has an off day and after coming back I decided I wasn't going to write a terrible review when 99% they are fabulous...I suppose the moral of the story is don't go during a peak time during Christmas and be sure and don't try and switch tables! Still love this place and I will continue to return.

The food is always a sure thing here. Not exactly cheap but the quality and service is going to be fantastic -- you can count on that. I normally eat my lunch in the office but for special treats, love to enjoy myself some Cafe Nordstrom lunch time to time. I also noticed, getting seated is often times so much quicker than ordering take out just as a FYI :) You just know it'll always be good. Make sure to add the tomato basil soup to your order. It's delicious!

Nordstrom Cafe is a great place to have lunch or takeout. They make decent sandwiches but my favorite thing to order here is their grilled salmon nicoise salad. It comes with a decent portion of fish and the vinaigrette goes well with the fish and veggies. Oh and I love the fact I can use my Nordstrom MOD card so I can rack up some points. ;)

Had an impromptu dinner with the family here while we were downtown to catch the snowfall in Pacific Place. Everybody loved the meal. My kids, my wife, and even me - the guy that thinks everything related to Nordstrom is a huge rip off. Their food is wonderful. I can eat that Mushroom Ravioli twice a week for a year, and probably not be sick of it. All our dishes were cooked well and tasted amazing. Service was friendly and prompt. They struck the rare combination wherein you always feel attended to while not be intruded upon. It's a great place to enjoy a peaceful meal in the middle of crazy busy consumerism. The prices are good as well. Most dishes between 9 and 13 dollars.

I know it sounds so lame to go to the cafe at a department store, but this place makes the best salads! Unfortunately, everyone else seems to think so too, so the lunch waits can be long. It might not be the best bet if you literally only have one hour. You line up to order and then they bring the food to you so its a more casual cafe. It's way better than the E-bar and the bread that comes with the salads are excellent as well. It seems basic, but its oh-so-yum!

The prices are great and the food comes out even faster! I had a sandwich with chicken and a cup of their soup of the day they also gave me some chips on the side. Everything was very good considering i was in a department store!

GRILLED CHEESE + TOMATO SOUP. How can you go wrong? Also, I've asked everybody I know (or a good majority) and Nordstrom has the best tomato soup of your life. Yes, yours. Creamy, rich, tomatoey, basil-y goodness. Just a warning: it IS a chicken broth based soup and does contain a pretty substantial amount of heavy cream. But that's what makes it so good. If you're cutting corners on your tomato soup you should really reevaluate your decision and come here and try theirs. THE BEST. Oh and the crostinis are also addictive, calorie-laden bits of heaven.

For a cafe, I expected quicker service. The line was deceptively short and there were plenty of tables inside, so I figured 30 minutes for lunch here would be enough. I ordered the cranberry turkey sandwich, which took almost 20 minutes to come. The set up was a bit confusing where you wait in line, place your order at the counter, pay at the counter, then find a seat. A server then come to your table with your drinks and order, then at the end they bring you another bill, which unless you added something after you placed the order is for a zero amount. I suppose this is their subtle way of asking for the tip. The sandwich was not that great, and the bread was dry. I gulped it down in under 5 minutes to make my appointment.

My first time at a Nordstrom Cafe and I have to say, I'm sufficiently impressed. Ordering is a little odd. The menus are at the registers and you pay but you take your bill with you to your table of choice so that the waiters know what your order is and so that you can tip them. My companion ordered the kids grilled cheese and tomato soup (but it was more than enough food for an adult). I got the turkey, havarti, cranberry, and sprouts sandwich and was pleased. It does come with what seems like a random sprinkling of potato chips, but hey why not. For ~$10, I got a speedy, straightforward, and tasty meal with fresh ingredients and wonderful, cheerful service. I can't complain! I look forward to going back to try the desserts and other menu items.

I've eaten at Cafe Nordstrom twice a week for about a month now, so hopefully I'm qualified at this point to give a balanced review :) overall, A++. The food -------------------- PARMESAN CRUSTED CHICKEN SALAD with baby greens, romaine, breaded chicken, bacon, egg, avacado, tomato, grilled corn and honey dijon dressing really is as good as everyone says. A few things struck me about this salad - there's a TON of toppings (it's not 90% lettuce and barely anything on top), the dressing is really interesting (warning for cilantro haters, there's little bits of it in there, but not much), and while minor to some, I think it's a big deal that the bacon is actually crispy, not fatty/flabby. You can tell that time and good ingredients went into this - for example, sometimes you get a chunk of kernels of the roasted corn, still stuck together when it was freshly sliced from the cob. CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD is also good, with a lot of ingredients (chicken, red pepper, carrot, crisp wontons, mandarin orange wedges, etc) and delicious sesame dressing. I liked the parm salad more, but this one is also excellent. CRANBERRY TURKEY SANDWICH is amazing - the bun is chewy and has lots of grains/seeds on top, the turkey is hand carved (no crappy lunchmeat here), stellar cranberry chutney, and yummy sprouts. If you like garlic at all, do yourself a favor and swap out the mayo for the garlic aioli. It's not strong like raw garlic (more like roasted garlic), is subtle, and works so well with the sandwich. Also, sandwiches come with a choice of chips OR side salad - I got the side salad with sesame dressing, and it was a great size (not super tiny, not monstrous) and had yummy veggies on it (red pepper, carrot, tomato). TUSCAN ROASTED SALMON with rustic vegetables is also as good as everyone says - frankly this might be one of the best salmon dishes I've had, and easily in the top 5 best roasted veggies from a restaurant. The salmon is simply prepared and has rosemary, salt and garlic as a light crust, the 'rustic' part of the veggies means that they are cut into giant wedges, with a great sear on the sides. Zucchini, pepper, red onion, potatoes, etc. Lots of oil and flavor, just so amazing. I do think if they cut the veggies more so the sear could get to more sides, they'd be even better. For example the zucchini 'wedge' is probably 3 inches of zucchini, with one end cut on a diagonal bias. Tasty for the sides that had the sear, too soft on a huge part of the inside. The service -------------------- I was apprehensive about going here because of the writeups on how you pay and are expected to tip a seemingly non-helpful waiter. I was pleasantly surprised, and don't mind tipping at all in hindsight. Yes, you order at a counter and then also have a waiter, and you do tip at the end. I had envisioned this as being devious or otherwise off-putting, but these waiters are on top of things. I think it actually works faster and better than a normal sit-down restaurant, because you get to order immediately, no delays. The waiters are great about bringing you refills of drinks, extra things you might need, and bring you some complimentary (DELICIOUS) chocolate at the end. Also, the cashiers are always super friendly and helpful. Other stuff -------------------- *As others have mentioned, having the super clean Nordstrom's bathroom nearby is a huge plus, rather than crossing the skybridge to Pac Place. *With only one exception, each time I've visited there has been one super obnoxious, screaming child. I always go around the same time, ~5 PM (and there's always ample seats around then) so I suppose it's good there's only 1 annoying brat, ideally there would be zero, but hey, it's in a mall ;) *Service is quick - the salmon takes up to 15-20 minutes, but I'm easily in and out within 30 minutes usually. *If you like the chocolates they bring you at the end, you can buy boxes of them! The salted caramels are insanely delicious. In summary, I went to Cafe Nordstrom the first time expecting it would be one of many places I tried before attending a downtown class - but now I pretty much just go there every time, the 2 nights a week I'm in the area. It's that good!

Today I had lunch at the Cafe in Nordstrom's. Yet again is was great! In fact - this was the first time I had their breakfast food and it was really tasty. The prices are cheap, the food is quick, it's tasty and it's the perfect place to stop and put your bags down while you're shopping or killing time before a movie. I think I've been about 4 or 5 times now and today was the first time there were any mistakes with an order. In fact - they were so apologetic they offered my friend (whose order was late) some free soup while he waited. Pretty nice! His food arrived 5 minutes after mine and everything was great.

I know it sounds yuppy and overpriced and booooring - but it's not.. not the boring part anyway. Granted, there are a lot of fancy stay at home moms lunching there all the time... but there are also normal working joes from downtown there too so it's a completely normal feel. Plus the order-at-the-counter part makes it a lot more casual. Overpriced? Not really. It's going to be a $15-$20 lunch if you order a drink, but it's not so bad. And the quality of food is well worth it. I recommend the salmon (served with grilled vegetables! Mmmmm!!) or the muffaletta sandwich (artisan meats and olive tapenade). Lovely food, quick service, lots of refills on my drink. I love it. There can be a bit of a wait, but the line usually moves fast.

Gone to Cafe Nordstrom a couple times for lunch and surprisingly their food is really good! I mean for the price you pay it better be good! Usually I order one of their salads which I think all are tasty. My fav so far has to be their sweet corn and grilled shrimp arugula salad. I never have been the person to like arugula but this salad made me a fan of it. With the sweet corn added and the polenta croutons... YUMMY! Other than their salads, I haven't really tried anything of the other dishes on their menu but hey they're always there at any of the Nordstrom locations so I have plenty of chances. :)

Our family has eaten here at least 20 times. We think it's in a FINE location, on the 4th floor of Nordies, right across from the gift shop/home shop, and a stone's throw from the kid's and junior's departments. Conveniently, the women's washroom is also nearby, around the corner. So our family is often in this area shopping or using the facilities - and we cross over the skybridge to Pacific Place here, too! The paninis are great, the salads are great. We've never had a bad meal here. It should be mentioned that they have really great and healthy kid's meals here, too. The desserts are amazingly decadent and varied, too! Sure, you could get a small, greasy cheesburger across the bridge at Johnny Rocket's for half the price. Go to Thai Ginger at Pacific Place, pay as much and walk across the mall to use the usually-less-than-clean washrooms. Cross the bridge and sit on high stools in the open floor of Pike Place Chowder, while shoppers walk around you with their bags. Or choose the other pricey restaurants at Pacific Place that don't have washrooms, privacy and/or quality food and/or service. Or....you can have a super meal, with fresh food and attentive service in a clean cafe in Nordstrom's, with the quality Nordstrom name behind it.

I have been here many times and everytime I got a very good quality, very delicious meal. Everything is consistently delicious. My faves have been the grilled salmon, grilled chicken, and cranberry turkey. I haven't really heard anything bad ordered here even from friends

I love this place! It is classic, good foods, nice services, and Nordstrom. Go to the top floor, find the bridge to Pike Place, and the Cafe is right there. The menu is simple. Breakfast is available all day. We ordered a Turkey sandwich and a side of salad. The sandwich is perfectly made. We saw other table ordering a plate of grill veggie and it looks delicious. We really regretted for not ordering it. This can be my favorite brunch place in Seattle.

The chicken salad for lunch is very good, but this place is really loud. If you were looking for a quiet conversation spot, go elsewhere as it seems everyone is trying to talk over each other, and the tables are really close to each other.

I've eaten here several times, and considering that this is the flagship store, and it's Nordstrom, I would expect better. Firstly, the service, while definitely on par with the store service in terms of quality, is always..slow. Secondly, the food is..okay. Not bad, but not great. I've tried salads and sandwiches, and the ingredients seem like they're from Safeway and aren't as flavorful as they should be. The last time I ate there, they served me the wrong drink, even though I said it to the cashier twice. I know that the cafe is basically just there to take advantage of hungry shoppers, but I would still expect a bit better. The appearance and ambiance are very nice, though, and as I said, the service, while slow, is excellent. The little chocolates they give you at the end are delicious.

The desserts are AMAZING!!!!! The bread pudding is crispy and warm, like a giant piece of french toast. Floating in white chocolate sauce with raspberry dollop's and fresh whipped cream. White Chocolate shavings adorn this delightful taste of heaven. The Brulee is nice, a bit on the small side in comparison to the other desserts. They have great daily soups. Service is always great and I love that I can browse for cheap costume jewelry at B.P when I am done eating . This is pretty impressive for being inside the T-town mall.

Came in with my mom today. Our server, Sam, was amazing. We both had the cilantro chicken salad, which came with no chicken. We realized this partway in, and mentioned it to our server, Sam. She was going to have them remake the salads, but my mom was cutting it close for an appointment. She brought us each a side of chicken and comped our salads! She had a full section, too. I was really impressed by her attention and service. The salads were really tasty, too (with and without the chicken). I don't give this place enough credit! Four instead of five stars because it's sort of noisy (which is to be expected), and they did forget the chicken in the first place

Do they train Nordstrom retail associates separately from the Cafe folk? I've had to bat away the salesmen in the women's shoes dept like fruit flies (albeit very well-mannered fruit flies) but at the Cafe? I'm practically on my knees begging for a copy of my receipt. The menu is relatively basic: sandwiches, soups, pastas and salads. The kids menu is actually more charming than the "adults" - why can't I get a wee bowl of raisins and cut-up fruit with my meal? No fair ... It might have been the best damn Chinese Chicken Salad I've ever had (mandarin oranges, crispy wontons and bread sticks that I accidentally tried to use as chopsticks - oops) but that doesn't cut it. They were brusque and unfriendly despite the place being void of human life. The service is just atrocious, can I chomp on a Cafe salad while I shop for shoes with the nice salesmen instead? I promise I won't get sesame dressing on any of the Tory Burch flats!

  • Mandy S.

I'm a fan, I go here a lot for my lunch break for the kid's menu. My fav's are the chicken tenders (which are now smaller) :( and don't come with chips anymore...so not my fav at the moment actually. and grilled cheese with tomatoe basil soup if I feel like eating unhealthy. the grilled cheese is actually really filling, it's huge! not your normal sliced white bread and kraft cheese slice. All kids menu also includes a drink..i get the iced tea with orange slices! one of my favs esp in the summer i recently tried the parmesan crusted chicken salad with avocado, eggs, bacon..kinda like a cobb salad and it was really good! they have really good honey mustard dressing and includes a roll. prices are moderate so I give it a four because there is a specific flavor I get out of all the meals here...something cheesy in all the entrees for some reason.

Since this is my first review, I will not overzealously rate this five (5) stars, however, I did love it! My salad, the Nicoise Salmon Salad, was so incredibly flavorful. It was made with quality ingredients, and the salmon itself was cooked perfectly: crunchy outside and moist and tender inside. The service? A bit unusual, and boy was my colleague pissed when the opportunity to tip came AFTER the bill was paid. Incidentally, the chocolate mints are dreamy! And the place was PACKED, which is always a great sign of a good meal. What made me happiest was the price, since price for value is the overwhelming difference between living here and in Scottsdale (yes, Scottsdale). I agree with my fellow Yelpers, Samantha G. and Ryan N.: get the Nicoise Salad and bring cash for the tip!

Came here with a girlfriend yesterday while we were at the Bellevue arts and crafts fair!! We were both really hungry and didn't want to eat junk food so I suggested the Nordstrom Café. I've eaten your one other time before and it was really good so I was excited to try it again! It was about 11:30 AM and we were immediately seated at a great table, surprisingly it was not too crowded with the Bellevue arts and crafts fair going on. We both ordered the exact same thing which was the blackened salmon Caesar salad with a side of mushroom risotto. When the salad came it looked amazing. The salmon was panseared very very moist and tasted incredible, and the salad had just the right amount of dressing!! The mushroom risotto was really good ( not novillhos steakhouse good) but good. Needed a little bit more seasoning but in no way did it disappoint, we ate every bite. Bill came to about $32 per person which included tip which I was happy to pay. Was very full and satisfied! Will visit this place again and again!!!!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch and mimosa at nordstroms today. We had the friendliest and best server I have had in a long time. Her name was Elen. She could be a server at a high end restaurant easily. Thank you Elen for staggering our multiple mimosa order. Food was delicious and mimosas were perfect. Thank you nordstroms!

In my quest for a great take-out, I did not expect to find it in a Cafe on the fourth floor of a department store. Nordstrom Cafe was fabulous! Excellence in customer service. I was even asked if I wanted a glass of water while I waited for my order. The Tuscan Roasted Salmon (in rosemary and garlic), was moist, smooth, delicious and flaked perfect on my fork. I was left in want for more of the Yukon Gold Potatoes and the roasted peppers and the other veggies were a perfect touch. This experience of take-out heaven was under 16.50 USD (including tax).

My new favorite salad here is their parmesan crusted chicken salad with honey mustard dressing. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their salads as long as you pick one with the type of ingredients you generally enjoy. I think the price for lunch is fairly reasonable. You get a good sized salad and rolls are included. It is my new favorite place to meet someone for lunch downtown because you can actually hear each other talk.

  • Shekinah S.

OK, I've thought about it and the system at Cafe Nordstrom now makes sense to me. Instead of waiting to be seated and then placing your order, you essentially wait for your order while waiting to be seated. Seems like a good idea but I still find it odd and awkward.

  • Amy H.

I am a fan of the dinner mints, the food is consistently good and fairly affordable, and the staff is always nice. What's not to like? During the holidays, it can get a little too crowded to be worthwhile. I like going in for a quick bite post-work/pre-movie at Pacific Place. Super convenient because of the sky bridge. Solid 4 stars.

The location is unique, and, in many ways undesirable, for example it is not convenient if you are in a hurry because it is not on street level and is frequently packed. But the food is good.

  • Robert T.

This place always seems to be busy. It is a quicker option than the grill downstairs. Service is good and fast, although the set-up is a bit confusing. We were not sure if we were supposed to tip the waiters since we paid at the beginning and there was nothing to sign to add gratuity. I never thought I would enjoy a restaurant in a department store as much as I like the two restaurants at Nordstrom.

  • Brynne H.

It's the desserts that really win here. Oh, don't get me wrong, the entrees are great, the pizzas far better than what you'd get at the Il Fornaio stand, but the desserts...so much yum. And isn't that what it's all about? Last summer, I had THE best strawberry shortcake ever. I'm a baker, and I've never made myself anything as good as the shortcake part of that dish. It was just absolute heaven. Their creme brulee is also tasty, and the portions are great for what you pay. My advice? Come in, get a salad and iced tea, and then splurge on dessert!

  • Jonathan R.

A joke. Besides mediocre food, we were seated at the open french doors, where if this were on Alaskan Way we would have a great view of the water. Well this is not on Alaskan Way its on the fifth god-damned floor of a shopping center - so do you know what I saw? A wall. Separated by another wall of constantly moving peopole. Why didn't I just scoot my whole table out onto the skybridge so I could have some sort of view other than fat asses in velour shuffling by with their screaming kids? And the skybridge only functions as a funnel for more noise so you get to hear everything from Pacific Place funneled through the skybridge multiplied with more noises from the skybridge with more noises from the afore mentioned veloured asses. Don't eat here.

I recently discovered this Nordstrom Cafe location and have gone back three times. There tomato basil soup is delicious--it was the first thing I tried--but what keeps bringing me back is the Chicken, Apple & Goat Cheese salad. I've had the same salad at the Southcenter location and it tastes just as good, but I prefer the atmosphere (and the exterior view) of the flagship location.

When is Seattle this is the family 'go to' place for breakfast each morning. We can all eat having a main (eggs, bacon), coffee and juice for $10/per which is very good as breakfast at the hotel for a continental is a touch over $20/per. Service is variable dependent of the day but is sufficient. Food is consistent in quality and arrives piping hot!

If you find yourself at Pacific Center and you just can't force yourself to eat at the Il Fornaio stand, then take the escalator up to the third floor, cross the sky bridge and get yourself to the Nordstrom Cafe. It is good for a Lunch or afternoon snack. The process here is stand in line, order your food, wait to be seated, and then your waiter brings your stuff. Make sure you have a few bucks in your pocket, as you are expected to tip, but you have already paid when you get seated. The food is very good in quality and value. The tomato basil soup is excellent as is their salads and pizza. If you have kids they get more than the adults for less price. Not a bad thing. A big secret is that out the front door if you look about 20 feet in front of the elevators and the front of the cafe, behind some clothes for sale, with no real sign or anything is a counter where they sell out of this world chocolate. Splurge for a piece and enjoy your downtown dining experience where you didn't break the bank, and it was very very tasty.

How did I not know of this place for so long? I was surprised how ass busy it was, but then again, I did go a few days before Christmas. The ambiance was something uncommon to Seattle, and it reminded me of a casino cafe in Las Vegas. Prices were...aight...but the food we got was very good, so I suppose it was worth it. I ordered the roasted chicken or whatnot -- it was booomb! Felt very rustic and Italian. Loved it. HOWEVER, food did take a hella long time to get to us. Tables around us got their food first even though we were seated first. But we complained and our waitress was super nice, so she refunded us for part of the meal and gave us free dessert. Wooot! She offered it straight up without us even having to barter. Nordstrom is known for really good service, and the cafe is no different. I would definitely come back because of our cool waitress - and of course - that bomb ass roasted chicken.

I went here for lunch today and had quite a satisfying experiencing. There was nothing extra special about the cafe, but it was pleasant. We arrived around 12:15 and there was a line out the door. Fortunately, the line moved fairly quickly, so we didn't have to wait too long to order. However, we did have to wait again after we paid until a table was ready. They have an interesting system here - you pay first, are seated, fed, and then you receive your receipt. I don't think you are able to add a tip on to your bill (at least we weren't able to today), so you might want to have a little cash on hand for that purpose. I ordered an artichoke and chicken salad and my friend ordered the Chinese chicken salad. Both of our salads tasted great and the portions were decent, though a little smaller than anticipated. All in all, I'd definitely go here again after a day of shopping. The sandwiches looked delicious, so I want to give those a try. The word to sum up my experience: pleasant.

This location's Cafe Nordstrom is a great place to stop in for a bite while shopping. It is very reasonably priced and well managed. I always have either the pear and goat cheese salad (excellent) or the Margarita pizza. I am always in search of a tasty olive oil based, white pizza and Cafe Nordstrom does not disappoint. I'd actually venture as far as to say that this is a little jewel tucked away in Pacific Place mall. It is so much more than the typical sandwich fare you'd expect from a mall cafe. I'd like to offer a tip as a side note: (You'll need cash to tip the servers.)

this is my fave spot to stop by a qick bite during a shopping day,the menu is small but with good options, mostly soup, sandwiches and salads this time i got the Grilled cheese and tomato soup and orange juice :) i sat on the bar,i like the layout just chill and quiet although i waited for like 15 minutes for my food to arrive the waiter was nice enough to apologize and when he brought back my second copy of my receive he also brought me an awesome cookie !!! the food as always is fresh and tasty !!!

I love stopping here after an afternoon of shopping. It's a great place to grab a cocktail and most of the food is pretty good. I've had the chicken paillard - which I really enjoyed, and on our most recent trip we got the crab and artichoke dip as an appetizer. It was absolutely incredible - warm and bubbling and is served with toasted, thin baguette slices. What I wasn't too fond of was my salad, it was beautiful and the ingredients were good, but I think it was made ahead of time and put in the refrigerator. Everything in it was really cold, and the bowl it came in was really cold. Maybe if the restaurant was pumped so full of AC I had goosebumps I would have enjoyed it more. But instead the coldness dulled all the flavors and I was too hungry to wait the 30-40 minutes it would have taken for it to warm up to room temperature. I'll definitely go back, but I won't be getting the Cobb salad.

Lunch today was a joke. For $23.65 to go, I got a small roast chicken focaccia club with about 6 chips on the side. The bread was stale, the lettuce limp and the aoli was grossly insufficient. The Nicoise Salad with Salmon also came with egg shell and kalamata olives. Its not a Nicoise Salad if it doesn't have Nicoise olives! Yuck. A major rip off.

I can honestly say there is nothing better than the kids grilled cheese and tomato soup! a great meal for $5!

  • Erica W.

Nordy bar anyone? lol, if you've never had one of these, try one! The food here is fast, tasty, affordable, and pretty healthy. Not to mention the staff is always great. The kids menu is the best deal in the place to me, for less than $6 (depending on the meal) you can get fruit, a few chips, cup of soup and the main food dish with a drink. Its perfect item if you want to control the portions you receive. The regular menu is really good as well, their salads and sandwiches are super tasty. Breakfast could be better, its a bit overpriced for the simplicity of it. You can get a heartier meal at IHop for the same price. Avoid during the lunch rush, about 11:30 to 1:30 the line goes out the door and into the store, to go usually ends up being about 15-20 minutes if you need to grab and go.

It's good, a little pricey but good. Nice break from the asian and subs as that's all there seems to be for quick eats in the downtown core.

After having two fairly quick dinners at Nordstrom Cafe, I have to share that they might have the best grilled salmon in the city. Both times I ordered the grilled salmon with rustic vegetables and both times it was absolutely delicious. At $12.95, it has to be the best salmon dinner value in town. That said, if you're looking for a romantic date night place or for top notch service, I'd suggest somewhere else. The service is friendly, but they're not efficient, and you order at the counter. Also, the first time we went, the server didn't check on us at all and forgot to bring my soup out until after the entree and only remembered when I asked about it. However, he redeemed himself by crediting us back for the soup and by offering to bring us a dessert, which we declined but was still thoughtful of him. I think maybe someone had called in sick and he was having to cover more tables that normal. In any case, the food was great, especially for the price.

I really enjoyed the food here, and so did my dining companions. I would normally have to deduct one star for the high price point but I realize the ingredients are quality enough to match the pricing. Thought they do lose two stars for the fact that it took 25+ minutes to get us two salads and a bowl of soup even though there had been noone in line before us for the 5 or so minutes we were perusing the menu; I'm pretty sure they don't whip up the soup one bowl at a time so I see no reason that the arrival of our meals should've taken that long. The blue cheese and pear salad with champagne vinaigrette was impressive. The greens, pears and cheese were obviously fresh and the vinaigrette was so good that I wanted to buy a bottle to take home (which you can). My croissant was a bit dry, but the sinfully tart lemon bar more than made up for it. Miss Lora enjoyed her Chicken Caesar, the flavors were on point and the portion was perfect for a light lunch. Miss Frances went with her usual bowl of soup and declared it delicious as always. After we arrived at 1 PM, the Cafe became noticably busier and the line was still out the door until we left. Obviously Cafe Nordstrom is a popular place to stop and grab a nice bite to eat while your shopping downtown (or at least in Nordstrom).

So, we were hungry and Nordstrom was across the street from our hotel. I heard they had a cafe, so we decided to try it out. Didn't expect this place to be crowded, but I guess a lot of people like this place. Now I understand why. The food was outstanding. I had the chicken pesto panini which I thought was delicious. Had the strawberry shortcake for dessert... yummy!

  • Cherry Blossom Girl A.

I don't think that just because a restaurant/cafe has cookbooks translates to it being "top notch". Cafe Nordstrom just happens to be decently decorated. If you think of it, it is mainly there for the power shoppers or staff (who probably get a discount to entice them to eat here vs. other mall places and thus helps to justify the Cafe's existence). That said, their salads are pretty good considering price, size, quality of ingredients. Pasta at Nordstrom? Just say no. They do give bread with the soup and pasta, plus they even offer more once you've finished. No thanks. Their soup is downright insulting. You can make better from a can and throw in some extra ingredients. Stick with the salads if you really must eat here.

The Roast Beef Romano sandwich is gone...it was a sad day when I went for that sandwich and was not impressed with the roast beef on an onion bun. Coconut Macaroons are still great though!

This is a really easy place to go to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And I am starting to take my toddler there and order off the children's menu. Overall, it is better to go when it is less crowded. I only say that because it can get a little crazy when it is extremely busy. Overall, I would say that there is good food, and it is my way of treating myself when I am shopping downtown.

Consider this a public service announcement of sorts: If you're shopping downtown and get hungry and for some reason want to eat at Nordstrom's, skip Cafe Nordstrom and head down towards the men's department and go to The Grill at Nordstrom ( yelp.com/biz/the-grill-a… ) you can thank me later. Both better food and dining experience plus you won't have 10 different soccer-ish moms pushing their 4x4 strollers over your toes while eating.

Had a fantastic lunch here over the weekend. So many great things to choose from! I had the parmesan crusted chicken salad, my sister had the shrimp and corn salad, both were delicious! We also had the tomato basil soup, it comes with a crustini that we dipped into the soup! So yummy! We finished off our lunch with the passion fruit chocolate mousse and coffee! The best part of our lunch, by far, was our waitress, Brandy. She was attentive, cute personality, prompt and friendly. She really made the entire experience fantastic!

When I want to mingle with the 30-something housewives on my lunch break, I chow down at the Nordstrom Cafe. Why? Because their lime and cilantro chicken salad is out of this world - seriously, the dressing is sublime. Also, their tomato soup is pretty incredible - go early in the winter, as they tend to run out of that soupy wonder. You can call ahead to take away an order, which is helpful in cutting down on wait time. Sitting in the actual cafe requires a 5-10 minute wait, but the servers are always awesome.

  • Quinn R.

I love the Nordstrom Cafe. I never would of thought I'd be going to a department store to get good eats. I very happily discovered this little jem and it is now one of my favorite places to eat while downtown. I've only eaten the Bolognese (that is how you spell it isn't it?) and honestly wouldn't consider ordering anything else. So if you like overly creamy pasta I say give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

...similar to what 21 year old boys look for in a female @ a club... the Cafe's food is.... CHEAP, QUICK, & DECENT...

Two words: Creme Brulee. The Nordstrom Cafe is a great place to enjoy your lunch break or a break from shopping or a break from the spa. The menu is limited, but they have sandwiches, a couple of actual meals and salads to choose from. The kids menu has hot dogs and mac and cheese on it; need I say more? Get there before you are starving, because they tempt you with a delicious array of pastry and dessert items in the cold case and it's not even fair when you're trying to order something remotely healthy. The waitstaff will ignore you completely if you allow it once they have taken your receipt. Make sure that you specify exactly what you want (IE: Diet, a roll with your salad, etc.) or you will get short changed. My suggestions from the menu: the roasted chicken with vegetables, the chicken pasta and the salmon salad (I don't eat fish, but if I did, it would be that salad). Make sure that you try the creme brulee at least one time, even if you have to steal it from your friend.

It's all about the salads, though most anything you get here is appetizing. It's especially good for a grab and go if you call ahead, they're very accomodating in that respect. I always recommend the bleu cheese & pear salad, though most people I know love the lime chicken one. I've only been seated a few times, but when I have the service has been very good.

I'm really a sucker for the Nordstrom Cafe formula. I'm sure there are plenty of kitchen sins going on behind the scenes, but the resulting food is flavorful and reasonably priced. I always have a pleasant experience and go away happy. I think a good contrast to this is the Nordstrom Grill downstairs, which is a similar quality of food at much higher prices.

I love to get a turkey club, asking for no butter on the panini pressed bread because it's oily enough on the inside with the melting cheese, extra turkey (1.50$ extra charge I think), and a salad on the side rather than those rock hard chips (ow) with champagne vinaigrette.

The placement of this eatery next to the bridge from Nordstrom to Pacific Place made it a place I walked by many times before deciding to try the food. The decor looks like someone got depressed they weren't Charles Rennie Mackintosh, gave up in despair, and instructed an accomplice to gild everything and leave it at that. The food is surprisingly good, though. I stood in line looking at the menu and changing my mind about which appealing-sounding thing to order, but what I finally said when I got to the cashier was that I wanted a lime and cilantro chicken salad. This was a good choice, holding lots of distinct tastes and textures surprisingly but not jarringly different from each other. The other guy had mushroom ravioli, which was also nice. The only trouble is the line is sometimes long, but that just shows that other people like the food, too.

Its a great place for a quick bite, especially while you are out shopping. Food is great, service is fast and yes you will run into "soccer moms" and kids but what do you expect... you are seated kitty corner to the kids department. The food for a downtown cafe is very reasonable about $12 soup and sandwich. Highly recommended for what it is...a cafe in the middle of a department store.

This place has some yummy sandwiches and salads. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and the turkey with cranberry, hold the sprouts. Shared them with my husband. They were quite tasty. I've had the chinese chicken salad and I would recommend that too. Plus it's in a nice location, eat in between shopping!!

I love Nordstom Cafe, I have for years and years. I go there with girlfriends and kids and husband as well and always have a great time. The menu is not huge but everything on it is delish I always order the margarita pizza. They even have a kids menu and the coffee is good. I think the reason I love it is because it's relaxed, they bring you your food and then they leave you alone but are never too far away if you need something. It's elegant but since it's full of shoppers it's really relaxed, like a food court but really nice. The desserts are sinful as well.

Food was very good, service was excellent. They even brought us a selection of bandaids as my son's ear was bleeding. And you can't tell there's anything wrong with the economy by this restaurant! The place was jumping!

The Flagship Nordstrom store has recently been remodeled and is on its last leg of renovations before it will be completely done, so I highly recommend visiting the cafe. It has a new, open concept just like the rest of the store so there's a lot of natural light and it has a lot of different seating options and you will never be left without a seat. For people who are first timers, it's a really easy process. There are menus at the entrance and when you're ready to order, go to the cashiers who will take your order and ring you up. They'll give you your receipt and you seat yourself. A server will come to your table to pick up the order and help you with everything else. Customer service isn't just something for when you're on the floor shopping for clothing, the servers are great and are all about making this the most comfortable, fast dining experience. I've tried a variety of menu items but my favorite dish is the parmesan crusted chicken salad. The ingredients are always fresh here and food is flavorful. Even though it's meant to be a fast, convenient place to grab a bite, it's an upscale feel. Prices are reasonable. Tip if you're wanting to order soup, ask to sample it. Once I was debating if I should try the soup du jour and they offered me a sample that was literally half of a cup. Not the standard sample size, but it shows that they're really helpful!

The cafe has just been recently re-done (as the whole store is) and I LOVE the new cafe lay out! More seating and very trendy/vibey feel without being stuffy or unwelcoming. My favorite thing to do while I am shopping is stop in for a coffee and a LEMON RICOTTA COOKIE. If you don't remember anything I say today, remember LEMON RICOTTA COOKIE. I am not kidding you they are like the best!! This place is great for families || for friends || for sitting alone in a booth reading or studying.

I've always wanted to try the Nordstrom Cafe, and finally i did! I had some pasta, don't remember which one it was, but it was pretty good, the only problem i had was the portion. To be honest, their prices range from 10-10 bucks for a small plate of food, which i can pay the same amount gong to the cheesecake factory and getting something maybe even better. but i guess that's why its called a cafe and not a resturant. It's a good place to sit down and have a small bite if you're on break or something but if you're hungry i wouldn't recommend eating here. Overall, i would come here again, but only if i need a quick bite

This place was under remodeling for a few weeks and now it is open again. I really llike how they change it to nice and open feeling. The food is okay. I mean I can find better food in the area but if you consider the atmosphere and location this place probably falls into 4 star category. Try it out today while you shop in downtown.

Wowzaa... its been nearly 2+ years since I visited the Downtown location and I was stunned by how much it changed in terms of its interior. It's no longer the soft, feeling like you're in a friends living room for a Tuesday lunch, type of vibe. Now, it's the modern, Northwest, welcome to Seattle, upscale setting. My first immediate thought... it feels like a Starbucks... more specifically the Tasting Room on Pike Street. Not to say it's a bad thing... Nordstrom & Starbucks are two successful Seattle based companies hence their likeness in style makes sense. It's almost like a story for any visitor that comes to Seattle. Get off the airplane, drive into Seattle, check out Starbucks' Tasting Room, grab a coffee while you're there, head over to Nordstrom for some shopping and then end the afternoon by having lunch at the cafe. That's my viewpoint of it at least. Enough with the interior and how it felt... the food now. The food is always on point at the Seattle location. Clean presentation, not overly seasoned and enough variety to keep myself from getting tired. My grilled shrimp and arugula salad with polenta crouton -- solid. Haven't had a salad like that before so triple points for that. The Alderwood location... cant say the same but that's a separate post. For a Wednesday afternoon birthday lunch for a co-worker, it was perfect. Good portions, easy atmosphere to just eat and chat, while feeling like we're treating ourselves. Our server, Michelle was also on point which is bonus points for me. Not only does she have the same name but was on point in doing her job without overdoing it. Once again... cant say the same about the Alderwood location. That all being said - in my world where the points don't matter, this is a solid 5 star spot for a weekday lunch. Easy seating, easy atmosphere, good food... that's all we can ever ask for right?

Wend back today for lunch long line around noon even longer today cause of the Veterans day, a lot of teenagers and kids with their parents. Have waited about 15-20' got a seat. Ordered: white bean soup, chicken sandwich, chicken Alfredo, beef steak sandwich, coffee. Coffee - awful!!!!! White bean soup - average Chicken sandwich - nothing special ( I remember it tasted better) Chicken Alfredo - nothing special ( I remember it tasted better ) Beef steak sandwich - daily or weekly special - tasteless, bad, dry, brioche bun was so old or have been in the fridge right before they have served it - waste of money!!!! The Staff - is always great and polite, prompt. Can't recall servers name but he was quick and very polite. Wasn't his fault that food tasted bad. Be aware it hit or miss place, you might get eatable food or you might end up disappointed like I did today.

Pretty good place to have a lunch....good meeting spot to meet me lady friend as she entered from Pac Place and me coming from Nordstrom side off Pine. Got there early so there was not much of a line. You order at the front, pay, then seat yourself anywhere in the dining room. Servers will bring your drinks and food and will periodically check on you. Sandwiches can range up to $10, salads about the same or more. They have pastas to and daily specials too. I think the food is pretty good, counter staff is very helpful in explaining the menu as well. No issues with this place at all. Eventhough you already paid up front, dont forget to tip your server. Its right across from the bedding and towel dept. I realized my towels suck and need new ones. Anyways, a recommeded place to check out. Happy lunch'n!!!

I do love the California Grill panini here. It's not cheap ($10.50) but it is always satisfying. Grilled bread, good slices of bacon and turkey, avocado and tomato with some cheese. Good bread. Comes with a side salad or potato chips. Service is always solid (though the last time I was here I took it To Go) and the ambiance is nice. Also, so conveniently located in Nordstrom! Haha.

Not sure why but I'm always surprised when I come here. It is really good food, decent variety, and pretty consistent across the various store locations. I usually stick to their salads but have heard good things about their other items as well. It's a combo walk up order/table service cafe so it's great for a quick bite while shopping or a week day lunch. I would definitely recommend if you haven't tried it. Note - this is not the same as their full service restaurant Nordstrom Grill, however the Grill is pretty good also.

I've been here couple times, and I love their health food. I brought my friends here because i wanted to show them this place. BUT guess what happened? There was this black lady taking our orders. One of my friends ordered a pasta, but she forgot to say she wanted to make it togo. So I said it for her. I said "Could you make her pasta to go?" but this lady thought I ordered a pasta for myself too. Then when I was paying, I noticed that I got charged for an extra pasta. So I told her she got my order wrong. And she just show me the receipt asked me to check. I told her I did not order a pasta. then she said "You just said you wanted the pasta!" I told her I was saying to make my fiends pasta a to-go order. and she just raised her voice and said to me again loudly "YOU SAID YOU WANTED THE PASTA!" and since I did not want that order, she had to fix it. She just gave me this really bad attitude. she turned around and said "Oh My God" Really?? did nordstrom cafe really hired this lady? I had 4 people with me, and we all knew that I didn't want the pasta. I swear she didn't understand me clearly. Alright says if it was my fault, I said it wrong. She should not talk to her customers like that, at all. Honestly, I wouldn't go back again after this crazy lady.

We were in need of a quick bite before heading off to do our wedding registry -because you certainly can't do that on an empty stomach (p.s it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be). There was a bit of a line to order but it went rather quickly while we looked over the menu. I ended up with the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich, and my Fiance had the Prosciutto Caprese Sandwich. Food came out quick and was super tasty and prices weren't terrible for the portion size. Sometimes I get the urge to end things with BOOM, like just now.

Tip: Ask for the bread on your sandwiches to be lightly toasted with NO butter, and you'll get a real panini experience, rather than a sopping oily too dark one.

Love that you can still substitute the chips for a side salad without any extra charges. Sandwiches & entrée salad are pretty good. Good portion for the price. Favorite cookie is their chocolate chip macadamian coconut cookies...delish!

I might be a little too generous with the five stars, but I love eating here because I'm never disappointed. I came here most recently before going to a show at the Paramount, because it's fairly fast service, casual, delicious food, reasonably priced (entrees average $13ish) and conveniently connected to Pacific Place, which to me, is one of the better parking options downtown after 5pm. I got the spicy shrimp & angel hair pasta and my bf got the crispy chicken cobb salad. We may have been really hungry, but we loved both the dishes and devoured them quickly. The salad has generous amounts of everything - chicken, corn, egg, bacon, avocado, etc - it's really a perfect meal. My pasta was yummy too, and definitely satisfied my pasta craving. Though it wasn't even one star spicy, the sauce was good, and I think there were at least six large, plump shrimp. In the past, I've tried a few different salads and sandwiches, and I'd recommend them all as well. I guess get whatever sounds good to you, and it most likely will be!

3.5 stars overall! Nice place to sit and eat a simple lunch! Salad was amazing, but sandwich left much to desire. Haven't had a decent sandwich at Nordstrom's to date. Soup and salad combo is good. Love the grilled cheese with tomato soup! It's convenient, but not when this place is packed with a line.

Great food and service during a crazy PAX-filled weekend. I realized that there was a Nordstrom near the Washing Convention Center so I guessed that they had a cafe or a restaurant inside the store. I'm glad I was right. I ordered an arugula shrimp salad and it was great. A little bit too much sauce but the huge pieces of shrimp, the service and the lime-flavored Dry Soda made up for it. I was SO glad to get away from the huge PAX crowds at every restaurant. If I'm ever in downtown Seattle again, I'll be here.

  • Jennifer M.

I haven't been here for couple of years and boy, their grilled chicken avocado bacon sandwich and mixed berry salad were delicious. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes it gets really busy and with a baby in a stroller it's really hard to find a place to sit. I wished they seated people.

  • Karen L.

Why oh why have I never been here? It's a cafe tucked away inside Nordstrom, and surprisingly, the food is pretty delicious. The prices are not bad at all either. I had the roast chicken focaccia club, and the BF had the skirt steak. The sandwich was tasty, but the skirt steak was pretty delicious for only 13 bucks. Definitely coming back when we're hungry from too much shopping!

Yes it's just a cafe inside Nordstrom but it delivered one of the best meals of our Seattle trip, fully deserving of five stars. I got a parmesan-crusted chicken salad. David went for the chipotle lime salad. Drinks were delivered promptly with the salads arriving soon after. My salad was simply perfect - chicken, grilled corn, avocado, perfectly dressed in a honey mustard dressing that was flavorful but not overpowering. Every ingredient was fresh and each flavor stood out. As I was realizing how good the salad was, David said that his was one of those meals where you are almost moved to tears. So two huge thumbs up from us. To top it off we split a lemon-ricotta cookie/cake - shaped like a cookie, with texture more like a cake, with vanilla icing - it was once again superb. Service was friendly and efficient, prompt drink refills, without feeling the least bit stuffy. I know there must be many better meals out there in Seattle but Nordstrom impressed us and I couldn't give them anything less.

I stopped here for a bit of soup before hitting up the Yelp Whisky EE and thought it was perfectly decent. It's a bit of a challenge to find, being upstairs and the store not having a tremendous number of signs, but now that I know where it is, it will be no problem to find again. It's a variant on a cafeteria-style setup, with one side being for to-go orders and the other side for dine-in. You place your order and pay at the register, and if eating in, then take a seat and someone brings you a tray with the food. It's a simple, elegant system and worked perfectly fine. They were out of the daily soup I first ordered, but the alternate lentil option was quite tasty and more importantly, calmed my upset stomach. There were plenty of people there (likely working on their holiday shopping) but it didn't seem overly crowded or busy. I'd come back here if I were in the area and hungry for a light meal.

This is a nice, small, casual place to grab a bite to eat. Service was great; remember to bring some change for tip! You order and pay up front (not at your table), so there is not room to write any tip on your receipt. I ordered their Pesto Chicken Panini which was delicious and it came with potato chips.

Cafe Nordstrom is probably the restaurant I frequent most when I'm downtown. It offers a nice break from the shopping and its a quick lunch or dinner, great quality food. My favorites are the chimichurri steak, mushroom ravioli and the salmon. My son is fan as well. He orders the grilled cheese and tomato soup, every time.

I have been eating here for years, its amazing soup and salad and perfect for a mid day shopping break. It can get very busy during prim lunch hours, I recommend going right before or later afternoon to get a table. Perfect if you are meeting friend down town and want a taste and light lunch. I LOVE the tomato soup with the crunchy bread, I get it every time. It think and very flavorful. Also I recommend the Chinese chicken salad or pear and Gorgonzola Salad. Both have great toppings and dressing. The staff is very good about making special orders and super friendly. I recommend for dessert if they have it when your there getting the lemon bar. soooooooooo good!

Like others have said, really good food, especially if you're comparing it to the food court. However, also like others have said - the wait. Oh my. I got there at 10:45 am on a Thursday. The place was pretty empty. I ordered an omelette (and it was very tasty) with no changes at all. Wanna guess how long it took? 30 min. Yup. 3-0. That is not a typo. Why does an omelette take 30 min when the place is nearly empty? What further amazed me was that after it finally arrived, my waiter said to the couple nearby, "We're running behind. It'll be awhile." They're probably still waiting.

I wish the Nordstrom Cafe would be a little more forthcoming about their menu. The idea that their food is "healthy" is a complete farce. *Everything* on their menu has at least 500 calories and 35 grams of fat -- even the tomato soup! In this day and age, and in such a health-conscious city as Seattle, I highly doubt that the Nordstrom Cafe clientele wants such a high fat and calorie content. It's a sad thing when places like Dennys, McDonald's, and Panda Express have a healthier, lower calorie options than the entire Nordy's Cafe menu. Gross.

We were searching for a great traditional breakfast and were surprised to find it at the Nordstrom Cafe. It was perfect!

Why did you put crushed pieces of... rice cake-like things in my shrimp and arugula salad? Ew. Otherwise, quick food and the right amount of service for what is expected at a place like this. I will likely be back for a mid-shopping recharge some day!

I never remember that Nordstrom has two restaurants until the rare occastion when my hunger overlaps with a visit to the store. In these situations I am almost always eager to seek out their Grill or Cafe for a bite. I typically choose the Cafe since the Grill is in the basement and has no windows or natural light. However, besides my penchant for light, both restaurants are very good. The quality has always surprised me too considering that department stores rarely do food well, but Norstrom is an exceptional place. More akin to a shopping experience in Chicago, New York, or London than what west coasters may be used to. Regardless, The Cafe is simple and delicious. Orders are placed when your arrive. After you pay you're given a receipt and sent to pick a table. Servers arrive a few minutes later to check your order and bring your beverages. Your food arrives when it comes up. Sort of a hybrid between cafeteria and table service, except your food is freshly prepared. And this is where the Cafe really does well. Their menu, though simple, is very good. Excellent variety, flavors, and textures to their salads and sandwiches make their meals consistently good. It's exactly the right mix of smile and creatives without being unapproachable or stuffy. The service is pretty good. The format can make it seem slow, and occasionally it is when it's a crowded weekend lunch rush, but they're usually quick efficient, friendly and helpful. The location on the 4th floor next to the sky bridge is good too. There are windows and light as well as easiy access to restrooms and the elevators, or a short stride over to Pacific Place. Next time your shopping, or downtown and looking for a bite, give the anorstrom Cafe a try.

Eating at Cafe Nordstrom was such an unexpected delight. I wasn't expecting much when I came here but I was tickled pink by the salad I got and the service. You order at the front, and then you sit down as the food is brought out to you. Normally I wouldn't tip in these circumstances because we paid at the front already, but our server was really nice about everything. I got a salad with a lot of berries on it. Raspberries, strawberries, you name it. I was just so surprised by the whole salad because the walnut vinagrette they used was delicious and the berries were so fresh. The salad also came with bleu cheese but I'm not a huge fan of bleu cheese so I requested it on the side. The prices weren't too expensive either, maybe averaging $10/dish or so.

The Nordstrom Cafe is always a safe bet for lunch or dinner. Their prices are decent and the food is always good. When you get to the counter you'll see the plates of food on display so you'll have an easier time deciding. They have really good salmon here. If you like a lot of veggies get the salmon meal, if not, get the Salmon Nicoise Salad. Their Panini sandwiches are good too. Try the tomato bisque, it is dependably good (sometimes they have clam chowder too) . The only thing this restaurant lacks it an espresso bar...but they have decent drip coffee.

The chicken lime cilantro salad is to die for! And their soups are so delicious. I also have a new addiction, and that is the California Panini. It is a tad on the greasy side, so I don't get it often. But is very good. Instead of chips, I ask for a caesar salad to counter balance the greasiness. The avocado is always green and fresh. I highly recommend everyone to stop by the Nordstrom Cafe. Wait, I almost forgot about the Royale cookie. If you like macadamia nuts and coconut, then you must try it! It is a chocolate chip cookie with macadami nuts and coconut.

I am a sucker for a grilled cheese and tomato soup. Café Nordstrom has my favorite tomato soup, ever. In fact I love it so much that it is the only thing I order here. Bonus, they sell the soup in jars that you can take home and make. Hands down its one of the best lunches around and for under 10 bucks. Service is always friendly and almost always fast.

Nordstrom is always top notch service and food. You really can't go wrong with a company that prides itself in providing the best customer service at all levels. I typically always go for the chicken caesar salad, unless I feel like being a kid and having a grilled cheese with yummy tomato basil soup (did I say, yum?). On this visit, I had the salad and my lunch guest had the californian sand which. Both were great.

I planned to try this place out as pre-grub before the Yelp free screening of It's Kind Of A Funny Story. Located between Pacific Place and the core of Nordstrom shopping next to the skybridge, it's a good spot to come in for a hunger fix. I think I got some sort of herb roasted chicken (doesn't seem to be on website, but maybe chicken for salmon on listing). Tasty, moist, good. The rustic veggies were nice, hearty, and filling. A solid meal. Service seemed a bit slow but decent. I would sit in the front half as the rear half feels like Denny's, thanks to that bland ceiling and decor change. Other menu items and reviews look appealing.

Great spot for a quick lunch when you're shopping downtown. Both the food and service are always excellent. I really like the Pear and Gorgonzola salad but the sandwiches are awesome too. The grilled turkey panini is super tasty. Definitely consistent and reliable for an informal lunch.

Nordstrom Cafe is one of my regular weekday lunch spots. It's business casual, like me and they have a pretty good system going - wait in a long line, order at the register, wait in a line to be seated, and then your server brings you drinks, food and an after lunch chocolate mint. 95% of the customers here tend to be women. They have a great variety of salads that are huge, unique and fresh - plus, they're able to do obnoxious substitutions, so you know it's made-to-order. The only problem here is that sometimes it can be really s l o w. The dining area can get completely full at noon, and the to-go orders can take up to twenty minutes. Be sure to call ahead if you have time restraints.
