Being a Magnolia resident who has frequented this establishment over the past seven years and have seen the ups and the downs this pub is on the upswing. In years past one would go to this pub for the drinks and not the food. Over the past year the food has really improved. Like any other bar/pub you get a so-so meal every now and again but hey, it's a pub. With the new management who is sadly living in cougar ville I find it refreshing that they have the soberness to be very kid friendly. In this eaters opinion the Magnolia Pub has turned a corner onto the street of upper mediocrities. P.S. the waffle fries rock!

I love this place! The people are great, the food is decent , the tvs are all over the place! Drinks are wonderful! Gotta love happy hour here!

Worst french dip I ever had - and way overpriced. Take a drive over the Ballard bridge and go to Bad Albert's instead. Way better sandwiches and alot quieter!

Tips: -great beer menu, lots of variety, your regulars and new choices are available -you're in a pub so get pub food. Blue cheese burger was great but my partner loved the arugula salad with steak ....good value for 15$ -don't be put off by the casual and cursory service -we hung in there for dessert and got the salted caramel brownie with ice cream. It was more of a cake than brownie, and not a lot of SALT but still good nonetheless ... Big enough to share and I'm hoggy with desserts -great post-Discovery Park stop!

Great place to watch a game, so many TVs. Good food, good drinks, staff has never been anything but nice! Have happy hour, trivia night! They have a small kids menu. Kids are allowed till 10pm,(I think that's what the sign said). Oh and they will always have a WSU game on.

Love the food, hate the service. I specifically signed into yelp for the first time in years so I could share how horrible the service has been. Three consecutive times, three consecutive poor experiences. I want to love it due to the location, food, and cougar affiliation. If it isn't the wait staff getting orders wrong and acting like you are interrupting their day, it can be the people upset if you want to cheer for your team (reminder everyone, this is a sports bar in addition to a family restaurant. If you want quiet don't go to a bar). I will do anything to not go here again.

This place is a huge pile of cliches. Where to even begin. Is it the paint thinner (or nearest rum equivalent) in the bar well? Tastes like it. Is it the bartender who lets everyone knows that he owns the place by parking his $20k worlds fastest factory produced motorcycle (at time of purchase) out front and the custom helmet next to the bar? Yep. I got it. Kind of cool actually. Was it the displeased waitress that provoked a cat-with-ears-back reaction from my beverage companion? I couldn't decide between her and the couple in the kitchen playing grabass and not putting chicken in my chicken salad or not cooking the fish on the other salad. Weird unnecessary drama aside, I didn't like my salad much even after the chicken showed up about 20 minutes later. If you come here to eat bad food and watch sports, stick to the burgers and beer as everyone doesn't care here.

Menu is a little spendy for the bar scene. Wish they would do happy hour on Coug Days! They do have Pullman Water for super cheap though. But we go here a lot for the Cougar games, tons of TVS and cousg! The 97.1 radio station guy is sometimes there which is fun because they do prizes and stuff.

Sad to report that on my first visit I found a hair in my burger, and even though the restaurant was relatively slow, yet well-staffed, our waitress was visibly irritated by polite requests for basics like a dinner knife and ketchup.

Would give 4 1/2 stars if I could. Only hesitate to give 5 because I want to come back to confirm it's awesomeness!!! Went here tonight with a friend to watch the USC football game. A group of USC alumni gather here for USC games. We got there about 4:30 and perused the menus over drinks. I had a very respectable dirty gin martini & my friend had the Magnolia Margarita. One hard beverage was enough for each of us. The menu had so many delicious sounding items to choose from. I plan to go back & try the cuban sandwich or the turkey bacon melt. This time I had a special called Chicken, Fig & Pig. It was a chicken breast, fig jam, prosciutto & provolone cheese with lettuce & tomato on a toasted ciabatta bun. Amazing!!! I had it with the sweet potato fries. They were perfect!! My friend couldn't decide between the nachos or a salad. I pointed out that they had half & full size orders of nachos so she had both. A half order of nachos with the cuban pork. They were pretty good but served in a bowl instead of on a flat plate so the bottom center of the bowl had plain dry chips while the top & sides had all the goodies. The steak salad she had was a very good size. Very tender steak & a wonderful wasabi ranch dressing. Since the USC Trojans were losing we had to comfort ourselves with a salted caramel brownie ala mode. It was wonderful. Just the right end to the meal. Very good service even though they were packed.

Big beer list and they had cider on tap too. Trivia is on Wednesday nights we came in after they started so couldn't join in. Had fun trying to answer the questions though. This place is a typical dive bar nothing fancy. Didn't have food here so can't comment on that.

Overall this is a great pub. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars was that originally the service was lacking. The place wasn't so busy when we went, but it still took over 5 minutes for someone to greet us and get menus...once things got rolling things were great! Including the food

The service is very good - the waitstaff are very attentive and polite. Even the owner (manager?) checks in with the guests and does grunt work. He obviously cares about the place, and he's very hospitable. 4* for this category. The food quality is sometimes inconsistent, but generally pretty good: 3* for the food. The beers you can get here please me greatly. My buddies seem to agree. 5* MVP is a good place, check it out. Additional: I wish they would consider changing the day of trivia night, or adding another day. No biggie though.

The Magnolia Village Pub, is basically just a neighborhood sports bar. I usually come here for lunch, their Southwest Chicken Salad is pretty delicious and most of the sandwiches I've had have been great., I especially like the homemade chips that come with the sandwiches. For the bar side, they make pretty good Margaritas, and the Nachos always hit the spot. I've been coming here for a few years and the service has always been really great. The pub can be a little kid friendly for me during dinner time in the summer, but if you head over to the bar area it's not an issue.

The bartenders are nice and the place is clean... But it's definitely over priced. I'd only come back if I lived in the neighborhood & it was the closest walking bar

We gave Bong E. the task of finding a breakfast place and really, he would have chosen an outhouse with a t.v. showing football if he could lol Emily S. and I caught on really quick when we were met with a place that had every Sunday game on. Mmhmm, breakfast place my ass. We counted 5 women, including ourselves, suffering through the thick air of testosterone. Bong E. utilized his best football-watching strategy to choose a table across one of the ends of the bar. Our server came by with waters and menus. Other servers walked past us with plates swimming in gravy, which helped us decide exactly what we wanted. Bong E. & I ordered the same thing, biscuits, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties slathered in a country gravy with bacon bits in it. Emily S. ordered a side of the same biscuits and scrambled eggs. We also ordered bloody mary's which were yummy and spicy, but with no fancy garnishes (I like green olives with the piece of pimento snuggled inside of it). Our food arrived fairly quickly and everything tasted good and fattening, however, the biscuits tasted like they had been frozen, so they had a slight freezer taste to it. $10 for the meal and $6 for the bloody mary? It seemed a little pricey, but I guess everything is expensive now. I may come back the next time I get the urge to pump country gravy in my veins. The parking around here sucks. A walk may be in order.

I have never had a good meal there due primarily to the tragic service. Basically, the VP is fine as a bar if you have a large wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket. Do not come here with kids or a large, sober group. The service is slow and poor. The food is ok but not for the prices they charge. A good place to meet for one or two drinks and watch a sports game.

You wouldn't know it, but there is good breakfast at a pub. We were in Downtown Magnolia and there weren't too many places offering breakfast. My friend, Bong E decided to head over to Magnolia Village Pub because he wanted to have "breakfast" there, but what he really wanted was to watch football. Lucky for us there was breakfast there. I ordered a side of sausage ($3) and a side of scrambled eggs ($3) since most of the dishes we saw were big. The eggs and sausage were good. The sausages were sausage patties, and they were cooked so that the outside was a little crispy. While we were there, I noticed that there were tons of people here wearing all kinds of different jerseys. So, you can be a fan of any team and come here. You won't get hated on. :) There were a lot of Green Bay fans that day too.

We came here on a Friday night for a friend's birthday. The bar was pretty empty... which was ok because this meant that service was pretty good. I tried to order a Blue Moon, but they don't carry it... so I got something else that the bartender suggested. YUCK! After this my friend and I ordered some sort of Honey Ale... I love HONEY... but this beer was also not so great. I decided to order a hard cider because we were having such bad luck with the beers... it was also really bad!

Well, I found myself a regular here watching the WSU games here. It's a great spot to watch the Cougars (the mascot, not the aged woman, you freakin' perv). PARKING: Metered street parking, courtesy of the City of Seattle. If you're willing to add a 1/2 block to your walk, you can find unmetered parking in the residential section. VENUE: The building is actually comprised of two businesses in a building that was built in 1927. It sits on the main street of the Magnolia neighborhood's retail section. DECOR: Lots of sports stuff. The highlights are the Pac-12 helmet collection above the bar and the bar itself, which features the hash marks representing a football field. Plenty of TVs in this place. AMBIENCE: This place can get packed during the Cougar games where you can catch the alumni at their finest drinking Coug water. I've never had an issue with anyone in the several times I've been here and I've seen people wearing UW gear without hassle. FOOD: Pretty decent to surprisingly tasty. I can vouch for their wings, wraps, and burgers. It's not the best food in town, but it's pretty damn good for an all-out sports pub. And pair it up with some... BEER/BOOZE: Full bar up in here. But really they have a decent selection of beer, with one or two good picks for micros. SERVICE: Seat yourself, but you will get table service. The staff is friendly, service is great. I like the owners, they seem like nice guys. Overall, the combined elements provide a pretty solid place to watch a game.

Great place to watch games- many TVs all around. Even though the place was packed for the game, the service was great! I had the hummus plate (it was good) but from a census of my friends around me the other food they had was nothing too spectacular. I'll definitely consider this place again for a big group!

Had a great lunch at the Village Pub today. I hadn't been there in about a year. Place was really clean, great sports on (bonus for my husband) and we both cleaned our plates. He had the MVP burger and I had the buffalo chicken wrap. Staff was very friendly. Glad we checked it out and found out the replaced the pool table with shuffle board (this happened over a yr. ago we were told). We plan to head back very soon.

My husband and I moved to Magnolia several months ago, and this is one of our favorite spots. The food is always good, the servers are attentive and friendly, and despite being a sports bar, it's usually not too loud (though, to be fair, we haven't been there on a game day). The nachos with pork are pretty amazing, and my husband has enjoyed the sliders multiple times. The southwest chicken salad is also a favorite. The summer is the best time to go to the Pub, as they open the huge windows in front. It does feel very dark in the evenings and winter, though, due to the low lighting and dark decor.

Not a big fan of Magnolia, as I don't fit the ethnic or political bent of the place and feel very other in the neighborhood generally...it's not a place queer girls of color like me tend to run. Not a big fan of cheesy sports bars, and definitely not a big Coug fan. You'll note I still gave this place 5 stars. Why? It's got the best bar service in town, relentlessly awesome and management seems just as awesome...not that I've ever had so much of a hint of an issue with the service here, even during a Coug game when the place is packed. It's got decently priced beer and lots of options on tap. It's got great food by any standards, much less bar standards. The nachos are good, but the MVP burger really tastes and looks like a steakhouse product, not something you get at a sports bar. It's worth the price and I don't say that often about restaurant food. I finally took the plunge (when someone else was paying) and had a margarita. I'm gonna drop some serious praise here, it's not the cheapest, but it's stiff and tasty for the price. I'll stick with beer on my dime, because the pints are real pints at a legit price and I like beer. As for why it's not cheesy? Well, it's got lots of TVs, but they're not obtrusive. I'd add stars for this alone! I can go with friends who aren't sports fans and they don't feel like they're getting sported at. And yes, it's a Coug bar, but I never feel like it's hostile territory, even if there's always a wisecrack or two about my UW debit card. Also, they have Center Ice so there's always hockey on. I love me some hockey. As for what makes it worth Magnolia? Well, either it's all outsiders or all the cool people in Magnolia hang out here. Your call. Clientele is friendly and fun, and I never feel like a freak here. Even when it's full up everyone's cool, which is great. Happy hour? 4-6 Mon-Fri. Short happy hour, but you can get a gigantic glass of wine for $4, so really, worth it, and there's food specials during happy hour...I got a ridiculous basket of fries for $3 not too long ago. So...even if you're not a Coug fan or a Magnolia type, check the place out for sporting events. Or a lazy lunch on a Monday off. MVP burger, trust me, folks...that brioche bun will hook you in.

This is definitely a sports bar, with a casual atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and there is a great selection of beers on tap. The food is good...almost better than expected for a sports bar. the atmosphere is not impressive, but there are plenty of televisions, including table side TVs to always make sure your favorite game is on. The pub is family friendly, so it's not uncommon for me to go in for happy hour and have spongebob on the TV at the table across the way, with a bunch of little kids. If you're looking for a casual sports place with tasty food, this is a great neighborhood place for that! I'm sure I'll continue to come back.

So I'm thinking back to all of my trips to Magnolia Village Pub, and I can't think for a moment any reason why I'd give this place less than 5 stars. The food has been incredible every single trip. THEIR BURGERS ARE AMAZING. I mean it. And please never forget how delicious their brioche buns are. Gimme dem buns. Burgers, smack your mother, they're so good. Fries, so delicious. Drinks, awesome. Desserts, I'm in heaven. Shuffleboard, A MILLION TIMES YES. 18 TVs I'm a bit less in love with, but it's a pub/sports bar so I don't mind it. Service, great! Magnolia folks, so pleasant. I love this place. In fact, I'm already texting people to join me tonight. IT'S TRIVIA NIGHT, Y'ALL! I know Magnolia's far, but this place is a nice gem locked away in Magnolia Village.

By pure yelp definition, the pub is A-OK. My sister and I went during lunch on a Wednesday. There weren't any servers but the bartender seemed to be managing all 10 tables just fine. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was a notch above mediocre but a little too salty. I would definitely go back because it is in my neighborhood and I enjoy a good sports bar. I will just need an extra glass of water to balance out the salt.

Magnolia Village Pub, it's like a party every night! Since I went to a college back east that didn't have any Greek life, I would imagine The Village Pub is one of the second best places to go and hangout and watch a game, next to being there. The food is good and yes, there are plenty of TVs on the walls -- must be at least thirty or forty TVs, right? But, if you went to Pullman and the hollow grounds that make up the beloved Washington State Cougars, Magnolia Village Pub is the best! And, if you went to U Dub, well you might have a nice time, too! Ha! LOL!

I really like coming in here and considering how many different owners it has had over the last few years, its doing great with the current one and I hope it stays with them. The small nachos are always HUGE so it's a good meal (you will need a fork) and the wings are yummy, just a little sweet. Always good beer and drinks and they have every game from every sport that you might want to watch. They did recently get rid of their two pool tables which is a little bit of a let down because not many places have them near Magnolia, but the staff is really nice and attentive. The clientele is usually pretty good except for the rowdy group of younger people sometimes. I'm 22 but I don't really like seeing loud, yelling people next to me when I'm eating food.

I really want to give them a good review because most of the wait staff is friendly and it's not their fault that their cook can't cook anything...at all...but I can't. Last month we went here and my husband ordered a hamburger well-done. His hamburger came out bloody in the middle. Bloody. Being from Texas and the land of rare burgers, he ate it anyway, and got incredibly nasty food poisoning. We came back a second time a week later hoping it was just an off-day, and ordered fish & chips. It came out burned, which is an improvement over getting sick I guess. So today we went back for the very last time. My husband ordered the Blackened Salmon Sandwich and I ordered the Black Bean Burger with no tomatoes (I'm allergic). While somewhat busy, they weren't all *that* busy and our food took about 30 minutes to come out. The salmon on his sandwich was raw. It was COLD and raw. They didn't even cook it. And my black bean burger patty was still frozen. As in, they didn't cook it either. We sent both back. When they brought his salmon back, it was not a new salmon sandwich. They literally pulled the raw salmon off the bun, heated it up in a microwave, and threw it back on the bun. Salmonella anyone? Ew. He refused to eat it and for good reason. The waitress tried to apologize, but even she knew that was just wrong. Another waiter walked by and said, "Just take it off their tab already," and rolled his eyes. We were nothing but polite through this but he didn't like that we kept sending food back. Then my burger came out. With tomatoes. So we paid for our drinks and left. Twice in one evening on burgers and you can't get anything right? Yeah. We will not be going back until they get a new cook because this one is an idiot. We told this to the waitress and I asked for the manager/owner. I was told that he was "busy opening his second pub" and thus, "isn't here to help you." In other words, no one was minding this pub while the owner was off opening a second one. She even told us that he "hasn't been here in a long time." So who is running the pub? The wait staff? The cook who can't cook? Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in this place. No thanks.

Great food. Southwest Chick Wrap was delicious. I generally don't like eating in establishments with TVs but my husband likes pubs and he loved their selection of beer. It wasn't an obnoxious atmosphere on a Saturday early lunch. My blackened salmon sandwich was very good and I got lots of salad when I ordered the side salad. We'll come back and try something else on the menu. Their kettle chips appear to made in house. Location is charming in the Magnolia central business district.

I lived on Magnolia Hill for 4 years and never once had I been here. I came on a easier night for a happy hour with a group of friends. We ordered a couple apps and some entrees on the night. Not too shabby. The sun shinning outside was the highlight of the night. They have a full wall of window that open floor to ceiling - total hot spot on a nice day. In terms of food, the special here is the french dip, so that's what I ordered. It was pretty good. The veggie burger was also really lovely. I would say the food was good all-in-all. The service was good as well. If you're in the neighborhood, you should give it a go.

I have never done a review on Yelp ever, but today I am compelled to share this story with you. My husband and I went for dinner and drinks last night and I ordered my favorite dish from many a pub--the Mediterranean platter. Usually, most places don't go wrong on this dish and I was looking forward to it. When it got to our table I tasted the hummus--good! Awesome, that is a good start--now to the best part--the feta. Totally gross, nasty, over the hill--I can't believe they served it to me. I love cheese, love feta, have had many a stinky cheese (and loved every bite), but this, THIS was rotten feet. Even my husband, who will eat anything, couldn't stomach this and confirmed my taste buds. I told the waitress that is was bad and she said she would tell the cook. Not even a, "wow, I'm so sorry." When we got the bill, we were charged full price. I had to ask for a discount! Yep, we got one--two bucks. I proceeded to email the owner and today I got a response! He said, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, but there is nothing wrong with the cheese. He continued to say he checked with the cook and staff and everything seemed to be in order and that this feta is not like "grocery store feta and has a more pungent flavor." Yes, thank you so much for insulting my taste buds. Like I don't know what good feta, or cheese, for that matter tastes like. Needless to say, we will not be going there again.

I'm really not a fan of this place. It's great that the beers are only $5 and the waffle fries are awesome. But the bartender wasn't all that friendly. I would think someone who's income is dependent on gratuities would be more outgoing. I probably won't be coming back.

this place has always been a 3/3.5 star joint for me but a couple nights ago i tried their fish and chips and it was the best fish and chips i've had in seattle. i would never had thought this might be the case in a small sports bar but they nailed it. bartender was great too. in the past some of their servers weren't the most responsive. i'll be back for more of the same and will remain hopeful that the 4 stars holds true

I basically started coming here based on the insistence of my friend Todd. As we're both business owners, meeting up during "regular" hours gets somewhat difficult. We both live in Magnolia so the "Pub" is fairly easy for the both of us to meet up at, have a few pints, some food, and safely make it home. As a sports fan, of course the sheer number of TV's is a plus, and I've watched a number of events from the screen literally at my table. What strikes me the most about this place however, is that the owner actually treats you as if you were a regular, no matter how many times you've been in. Joel, the new(ish) owner, has really taken great pride (obviously) in getting to know his customer base. He greets you warmly when you enter and I've begun to think that this is his own rendition of the beloved TV show "Cheers". His care and concern show, as nearly every time I come here, the place is crowded with people from all walks of life in Magnolia. Families, cougars, young folks, sports fans, and more frequent this establishment in the often-sleepy village of Magnolia. Nice work Joel, I appreciate your business and I'll be back continuously.

I only come here for UFC events, so I don't know how good their normal food menu or service is. I really like this place for watching UFC because instead of having paintings or photos on the wall this place hangs a wide screen every two inches. There's literally no place you can stand or sit that doesn't give you a view to at least two or three screens. It's usually filled to capacity when I go there and the atmosphere is great for watching fights. The place goes nuts when the fights are intense and it makes the experience twice as fun. There's a reasonable $5 entrance fee for the event. The service speed is reasonable given how crowded the place is during the fights. Sadly, the only food I find palatable on their UFC-special food menu are the pork sliders and fries. I do wish they have a larger and better food menu for UFC. Also tried a cocktail there once and plainly said it was bad. But since I rarely drink and I'm only there for the fights, I'd definitely continue to go there for UFC.

I'm going to go right down the middle in my review of this place. When we came up to visit our friends about 3 years ago, I thought the food was pretty good...then about 2 years ago after we had moved here, we had 3 very bad experiences with nasty food. Now, I have had two good experiences there in recent months where the food and service have been good. I'm not sure if the ownership is changing hands or they get different chefs or what not. It really has potential for me as I love the TVs with all the different games on, a cozy bar atmosphere, etc. But, the lack of consistency in food makes me wary.

I was surprised when my hubby insisted on taking me here for lunch. Really? Lunch at a bar?? But I went along with it since we don't get out together as often as I'd like. :P First, you get the immediate impression of a pub. Even though it was nice and bright outside from our rarely-seen sun, it was quite dim in the place. But it was for good reason -- there was a ridiculous number of televisions mounted on the walls. I can imagine if there were a big game going on, no one would have to worry about not being able to see what was going on. No matter where you find yourself sitting in this place, it's very easy to see a screen. And I haven't been in very many pubs, but I was happy to find it very clean, especially the restroom. Now onto the main part -- the food. Yummy! I ordered the fish and chips, while my hubby had a mushroom burger. And I couldn't resist the two mini hotdogs. I was actually very surprised that the hotdogs were as good as they were; most places that have mini dogs don't do it successfully. But the dogs were cooked perfectly, and the buns were lightly toasty and soft. Can't speak for my husband's burger, but my fish and chips impressed me. Better than other diners and restaurants I've been to, even places that specialize in fish. They weren't over-battered, just crispy enough, and the fish inside was moist and flaky; exactly the way they should be.... well, maybe a touch greasy for my taste, but still very good. Whoever the chef is, I think he really cares about the food he makes; I would have never expected this level of food quality from a bar. The fries are also super yummy. They offer sweet potato fries, which I was tempted to get, but opted to keep it simple. Also, the owner, Joel, is super nice and friendly. I saw that he was frequently interacting with the customers, making sure everything was good and everyone was happy. He would often pull up a stool just to chat for a bit if he had time, just like a buddy having you over to his house. I definitely wouldn't mind coming again for the food (can't say anything about drinks cuz I don't drink). There's also a pool table area for anyone interested.

Coming here feels like hanging out at a friends house, which I think is the best atmosphere you could ask for in a pub. Delicious food no matter what you get and an awesome happy hour. the bartenders are always down for a good conversation and experimenting a little to make a good drink!

This is pretty much the only coug bar in Seattle. Only been here once because Magnolia is kind of hard to get to but this place is great for watching really any football. Lots of TV's, good pub food and a friendly wait staff. The thai chili wings are my fav.

I love the staff here. They are nice and always make sure everyone is well taken care of. They have the best Bloody Mary's that I have found in Seattle (Space Needle comes in 2nd place). Their food is really good. I have not tried anything here that I didn't like. I love their Kobe burger, steak salad which has real bacon bits and is mixed with wasabi ranch, french dips, quesidillas, waffle fries and the turkey club that is served on a focaccia bread. Sooo good! They also have a variety of local beers on draft. Their jello shooters are delicious and all proceeds go to breast cancer. Pretty cool! I watched a UFC fight here and it was busy! I had a lot of fun and can't wait for another Bloody Mary and some food!!! =)

Yes, friends, these are troubling times, indeed. Social upheaval and discord, violent protests with high death tolls, a stagnant national economy causing an epidemic case of the grumpies (that's official medical terminology), tiny sociopathic narcissists from foreign countries with bad perms and strange pants suits threatening to drop a bomb every other day...it really does get difficult to face the world. There is a remedy, and I am here to share it with you. Step 1: Travel through a time warp to the magical Village of Magnolia, a Brigadoon-type oasis in Seattle where there is always street parking across from your destination, happy hours are affordable, and young and old cavort amongst one another as effortlessly as a squadron of squirrels hopped up on happy pills. Step 2: Walk into the Village Pub and order the mini corndogs. Step 3: Forget the problems of the world. Let me stop and focus if I may on the afore-mentioned mini corndogs. Two inches in length and perfectly cylindrical, the outer corny coating is the right amount of crispiness, sweetness and cornness. The hot dog in the center is...well, it's a hot dog. The mini-ness of the mini corndog is so adorable I have to refrain from speaking to the little nuggets in a baby voice. They come with a side of stone ground mustard for dipping, and the entire population of mini corndogs rests upon a bed of delicious fries. As for the rest of the Village Pub, I have no complaints and am glad it's local to me. Good, friendly service, family-friendly and relaxed environment, good drink and pub food selection and very ample views of television screens. It's a great neighborhood sports bar (and, as my sister pointed out in her review, under new ownership seems a little more Pac-10 neutral these days).

This place is great now. It's only since the new owner took over that we started coming back. The old owner didn't realize that when you have tv's every where it's creepy if they are all off. The new owner, Joel, has completely turned this place around. I get the same damn thing every time I go in. The Prime steak dinner for 17.99. Perfectly cooked with mashers and the best greens I've had in town. The service? Last Monday I came in, Joel recognized us and approached me..... Joel says "hey, you getting the steak tonight"? So I says "Well, yea....you know it" So he says " Lemme put that in, we only have one left, we'll save it for you." That says it all regarding the service now. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to have a cold Ninkasi in my greedy mitts and we've never had to wait more than 25 minutes to get our food, which is great as that allows me time to take down the first beer and get my second right in time to wash down my awesome steak dinner.

What can I say about the Magnolia Village Pub? Great food, great service, great beer, great atmosphere! As far as sports bars go, you really can't beat this one. Enough large HD TV's to shake a stick at, and special game night specials to-boot! Try the buffalo chicken sandwich and truffle fries. You're taste buds and belly will thank you. I like this place because it really doesn't have an agenda, other than providing it's patrons with great food and great drinks. Even if you don't want to watch sports, they're easy enough to ignore and just kick back and relax with friends and family. Rainier on tap, too! Can't beat it! Watch out though, it does get packed if any big game thing is going on: March Madness, Superbowl, UFC - get there early if you want a seat!

Miss the 'burbs? Hey, you still have Magnolia. So, do people really just go to sportsbars to watch tv? This place has big screen HD TVs bumping up against each other, covering the walls. Then, there are mini TVs at each booth. It's a little surreal. The bar is long and green and looks like a football field. Am I painting you a picture here? I look around and think, you know, I could be in Mount Vernon, or Covington, but I'm not! I'm in Magnolia! I am somewhere in the city of Seattle. All I want to do is read The Stranger and have an IPA and a Maker's while my friend is around the block having hair ripped from her girl places. There is no Stranger to read so I get to watch football. I don't like watching football. Of course when I am ready to leave, I stop in at the men's room to get rid of my beer and low-and-behold, way in the back, a stack of Strangers. Thanks. So obvious. The beer and whiskey is overpriced. The men in suits that sit at the bar eating their sandwiches all look like they are getting used to being alone after their wives sent them packing to a motel a month or so ago. Ugh. They'd eat anything. Or anyone, I'm betting. Staff is spunky and sporty. I thought I'd put that in, just in case someone does a search on "spunky and sporty" I want them to go here. Thank you Magnolia, for reminding me how cool my neighborhood is.

If you are looking for a Cougar leaning bar in Magnolia this is the stop. No no no... young lads; I am not talking about Older Women- well yeah... WSU Cougars are kinda like women.... snicker snicker... ANYWAYS; come on down to eat up some better than average bar food. Personal TV's at your table; plenty of TV's all around. Great service with a smile. Aside from the nights when they do 'pay per view' and they have huge boys at the door asking you to pay to get in to watch other huge boys fighting is an okay place. (Basically avoid these nights). Tip: Don't wear your Husky Gear in there. You will get glares.

Disappointed again... Third time this year I have ended up at the pub before 11pm with NO FOOD service available?? How do you close the kitchen before 11pm on a Saturday night? I have tried to support the neighborhood spot but this is ridiculous. The drinks are good, staff can be friendly, but overall not the place to go to wrap up your evening apparently.

I stumbled upon MVP about a year ago and have been going back ever since. Their food is amazing--highly recommend the beef sliders and hashtag fries (excuse me, waffle fries) plus an amazing drink selection with constantly rotating brews. I love MVP, the quality of service they provide, and the consistently chill atmosphere. You can't help but love The Stedman brothers-they're all hilarious, hard workers, and really value their customers. This is a no brainer... GO TO MVP RIGHT NOW!!!!

Can't believe the bad reviews for this place...the service is GREAT and after only going here 2 or 3 times, most of the staff knew my boyfriend and I by name and drink! We are now regulars because of the outstanding service (although we live on the eastside and it's a little bit of a haul) and great food! The food is awesome...try the truffle fries (with grated parmesan on top, yum!) or buffalo wings (with their buffalo sauce) as your appetizer, both will knock your socks off! The truffle fries are unique and delicious and the wings are HUGE and juicy. Or, if neither of those suit your fancy, the nachos are a nice sized portion for a whole group (and their salsa is really good, better than most places, tastes like a homemade pico!) and you can add chicken or beef to it for only $3! Follow this up with the wasabi steak salad (I prefer goat cheese over gorgonzola), the chicken and chips, the buffalo chicken sandwich, or any of the other mouth watering main courses (unfortunately, we are creatures of habit and haven't sampled much else, because our favorites are, well, our favorites) and you leave knowing you've been taken care of by a great staff...and with a full belly! Get here early with your buddies during football season, a UFC fight night, or as we found out last night, March Madness! Great specials for these types of events or holidays bring a lot of patrons in, making it hard to seat a bigger group! Of course, it's worth waiting a couple minutes to re arrange some seating...it IS packed for a reason! The Magnolia Village Pub is a real gem in the middle of secluded Magnolia and is great place for a night out with friends and family, watching Hawks games during football season, or a casual date night. Thank you to the staff for always providing service with speed and a smile...it really can be hard to come by these days and I always know I will find it at MVP!

A large pub in an area that does not really need such a large pub. For a hangout, I would definitely not go here as a destination, but since my parents live nearby, it's not bad for a quick beer here and there. The hummus plate is pretty good. What it is good for is sports. Many of the tables have personal TV's. This came in handy one time when my brother and I were desperate to find a place to watch an important Bronco game in this Bronco hating town (which most towns are). None of hte big TVs were showing the game, but we were able to get one of the little tables and watch our game on the little 10" TV there. It's also a great place for UFC fights. I just went for the GSP fight and it was well attended, with every single one of the many screens blasting the fight. Only a $5 cover, which, coming from NY, is ridiculously reasonable.

First and foremost this is a sports bar. Sure families with little kids are there on weekend days. Even with little ones scampering around the place remains a sports bar. There must be a zillion TV screens. In our small area of the room we counted 4 different sports being shown simultaneously. The menu is typical for a sports bar. However food is cooked better than most other pubs. They use excellent buns, chapatti rolls, breads that you usually don't find in a sports bar. Burgers and sandwiches are dressed with excellent toppings like caramelized onions (that are really caramelized) and chipotle mayonnaise. Yummy. You know all pubs have TV's. The Magnolia Village Pub rises above the norm due to the attention to details in their food along with using quality ingredients

If you aren't a Cougar fan, don't come in here. You ain't welcome. No, just kidding. But it is mainly a WSU bar, which means it's awesome. It's also awesome because they have lots of TVs around so everyone at the table can watch the game without craning their necks. The booths have their own TVs, too, and I saw a few kids (and maybe The Boy) watching SpongeBob instead of football. Thee big garage-style doors were open because it was a nice day, and it wasn't unusual to see someone walking by on the sidewalk and just stepping in to check the score. They had a game-time menu with limited options, to keep the kitchen from being too busy I think. I had the pulled pork sandwich--totally yummy. The fries were great, too, but not as mouth-watering as the waffle fries that you can get off the regular menu. The restrooms are labeled as 'locker rooms' and smell about as funky.

My husband and I chose Magnolia Village Pub as our location to host 100 of our closest friends and family for our wedding reception after we eloped to Italy this past summer. The owner Joel, and the head chef Todd were awesome to work with. They came up with a special Italian themed menu for our event and had many other creative suggestions such as ordering in Italian beer and wine. Our guests loved it and my husband and I couldn't have been happier. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was intimate and fun, and the staff was above and beyond. Joel and his staff were a pleasure to work with. They took the stress off of us and just made it a super fun and successful party, which was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.

We come to the Village Pub for two reasons. 1. It's the closest place to see the Redskins play on Sundays during regular season. 2. They are give points on Mileage Plus dining. The service is ok. The food is overpriced and terrible. The place is dirty. PINTS FOR POINTS is it's only redeaming quality.

This place has a great selection of alcohol, and it's definitely a good place to grab sliders and get wasted. I'll be back, next time I'm spending a night in Magnolia. The atmosphere is classy for a sports bar, and the place seems really clean. The staff is also legit.

Have eaten at this pub several times over the years, and while the people are very nice and the pub is very convenient, the food has been very inconsistent. Approximately two weeks ago...during the week...we ordered two different items. Both were a big disappointment. Please keep trying.

I like the place, but safety first. I know it's the final game of the college fuseball, but patron safety should be at least mildly important, no matter how busy you are. When I took my first big swill of my beer I noticed the pint glass was seriously chipped, right where I had placed my lips. That's alright; it happens. Then I noticed there were glass shards in my unswallowed gulp. That's understandable. So I ran to the washroom and spit it out, then came back and let him know that the glass was chipped and i'd had a mouthful of shards. "sorry about that" and replaces the beer and that's great; exactly as I'd hope. Two minutes later the server comes back with a glass full of bud light and says to the bartender "you're going to be pissed, but the glass is chipped". So he rolls his eyes and pours it into another glass and hands it back to her. Maybe it was just bad timing. But it's still unsafe. So that's why I leave a 2 stars. safety first kids. or at least safety third or fourth. But "safety last"? Two stars for safety last. AND, i like neighbourhood pubs with good beers on tap and bigscreen tvs for the fuseball and lots of "beige food", as Donny calls it. That's always why the two.

Disclaimer: I only came here for Coug games, so this is a bit biased. Great atmosphere, with lots of Crimson. True Coug oasis in a sea of Husky bars. Good selection of beer, and I really like the towers of beer. Great times, great friends, great service, decent food. Maybe they just bring their A-game on game days, but I've never seen any of the problems mentioned in other reviews.

Last year, my rating was 5 stars. But my past few visits have been more and more disappointing. I write this review not out of the pure need to rant, but as a plea to bring back what I loved about my former favorite Seattle pub. We used to live in Magnolia, and frequented the place for their amazing French Dip and Kobe Burger. Since our move to North Seattle a few months back, every time we've made the drive down, there has been some issue or another, out of the French Dip, unreasonably long wait, etc.. Decided today to give it another go, to watch our game and hopefully enjoy what used to be reliably great food. Advertised on their site as "the BEST Breakfast", we were incredibly disappointed to find essentially 3 different breakfast sandwiches as the extent of their menu. Decided to hold out for lunch, and hopefully get our favorites, and finally a good bit past noon, we were brought a Sunday menu, which had none of what they do best. I settled on the hummus plate, which was comprised of bland hummus, pita, and a pile of grilled red onions.. my boyfriend got the chicken strips which were ok, but such a let down from what we wanted to order. Today was the day I was hoping my faith in this place would be restored, but I don't know if I'll be driving that far out of my way for what is now just mediocre pub food.

There should be a law that if you have the word "pub" in your name you are required to have ice-cold beer on tap and you must have the ability to serve up mouth-watering burgers. This place did neither. I ordered a Mac and Jacks that was sorta cold and then, 1.5 hours later, my burger finally arrived. The burger was the size of a coaster while the bun was twice the size and stale. When I brought this to the attention of the bartender, he said, "We got the buns in today." I said, "OK, you need to get your money back -- feel this." He did and say, "Oh yeah, you're right," and then walked away. No apology, no nothing. Everyone warned me the place is not that good. Now I know why. Totally disappointing.

great music. Very open, laid back service. Kid friendly. Bathrooms are clean and kid friendly as well with a short toilet for the little guy. My bbq burger was excellent and we found out kids eat free on sundays.

Wow - what a huge improvement. I've been going here for years and have been depressed as it transitioned from 32nd to McGraw and steadily turned from a seedy bar to a really crappy sports bar. Bad ambiance, worse food (altho that varied) and generally terrible, altho super friendly, service. Now - chocolate brown walls, candleabras on said walls, new lighting, not all the TVs on, and new booths. Just the ambiance alone is so much better. The food - the menu has changed so many times you were never sure what you were going to get. Now - the bread and rolls come from Grand Central. The stuff is made from scratch. They have Kobe beef burgers and real entrees (like salmon and cod) to go along with pub fare. They still have a great kids menu and if all else fails with the little ones, they have the TVs at the tables (altho we refrained). Service was top notch - efficient, friendly and knowledgable. After years of lamenting the crappy Pub, we'll definitely be heading back more often. Nice to see a neighborhood place pull a phoenix. More stars if they keep up the good work.

One word---HORRIBLE. Service is the slowest its ever been, and food quality is worse then fast food restaurants. It takes 10 mins just to receive a beer. First time there it took an hour just for me to receive a chicken caesar salad. It seems like the restaurant is always under staffed. I go there after practice with my softball team for a couple drinks and food, if it wasn't for my practice being close by I would never go there again.

I miss the lesbians who used to run the place back in the early 90's. Back when the waffle fries were rad and they had a canadian bacon egg burger. And without all the goddamn TVs.

  • Alex M.

The food there is actually some of the best I've had in a pub-style establishment. What I like most about the Magnolia Pub is that it is designed as a sports bar, but the TV's showing the various games are never so loud that you can't be sitting in a booth holding a conversation over dinner. Each booth has it's own flat-screen TV and the volume can be adjusted if you don't want to listen to the game. The staff there is extremely friendly, what I like is that they are members of the community, which gives it a somewhat home-y touch. Definitely a great place to stop by for lunch or a quick drink with co-workers after work!

Since moving to the Magnolia neighborhood 4 years ago, my BF has always tried to convince me to go to the Village Pub for happy hour. The first time we went, he was wearing a Huskies shirt and we were promptly boo'ed out of the premises. Lesson learned. We've decided to check it out recently and were pleasantly surprised. It seems more Pac-10 neutral now, and I was really happy with the service...incredibly friendly and attentive. And they have champagne splits now! Bonus points! I realize champagne is a strange request at a pub...my BF tells me all the time. The vibe is energetic, probably due to the family-friendly aspect and the many flat screen TV's adorning the walls. The menu is all-American sports bar grub: burgers, wings, salads, hummus, etc. We have now added the Village Pub as one of our Magnolia favorites.

Holy Crap! 2 minutes in this place will totally give you a seizure. They have at least 40 TV's in 2500sq ft of space. Gave me horrible hangover after they switched me to well vodka after my first drink and still charged me the full price for both. Yeah, I noticed, bitches. Another time, went in with a friend and literally sat at the bar for 10 min waiting for a staff member to show up. I admittedly got distracted by the seven shows that I could watch simultaneously along the bar, b/c we should have left after two min. Three bar tenders roll in at once, all having taken a break together, while the owner was obviously absent. Um, ever hear of staggered breaks, friends? Guess not. I'm going to remain hopeful that the new owners can pull their act together soon, because, frankly, we don't have that many options on 'The Island' so I'd be a much happier gal if they sucked less.

This restaurant is a mixed bag. The good is that it has an interesting and varied menu with enough choices to keep anyone happy. Simple good American bar food. There are also lots of flat screens showing different sports games and individual TVs at tables along the wall that you can put cartoons on (you control the station) for kids. This restaurant is child friendly and provides good distractions for little ones (so long as you are OK with TV in general). The bad of this restaurant is that the service is terrible - consistently really slow and pretty disinterested in taking care of its patrons. The other bad is the prices. My bill here is always a good 40% higher than what I'd expect to pay anywhere else.

Went to Magnolia for a UFC fight. There was a cover but well worth it. They have big screen TV's everywhere and you were able to hear Joe Rogan nice and clearly. Pretty typical bar menu, staff was very friendly and service was good. Will definitely be back here for more UFC fights.

This place was cooler when it was a full blown Coug bar but I still enjoy coming here to watch Giants games on Sunday. They have a lot of t.v.'s, a lot of beers on tap, decent food and a small amount of Coug memorabilia on the walls so it's a winner in my book.

Better than average bar food and drinks but service was spotty and the space is not too nice. Loved seeing 2 Buck Chuck there, though. I would almost give this spot 4 stars because the food was pretty decent (fried green beans with chipotle dip???) but they forgot my caesar salad and then it was ok at best. The hummus was good but don't eat it on a date. Garlic city!

Awesome spot. Great for sports (UFC, football, soccer, NBA, etc) with over 20 flatscreens. Newly revised menu offers a selection of many cultured foods and a few exclusive tasty creations. Personally, I love the wasabi steak salad, and wasabi mashed potatoes. The staff is exceptional, and bring a very welcoming homey experience. I highly recommend the pub for almost every outing.

Really hope the food gets better now that the place has been sold! UPDATE 4/2011: Yippeeeeee! The new owner is awesome! He is making some MUCH needed changes. The sandwiches are your best bet on the food, usually really good. The service has improved TEN FOLD! So glad we have a good restaurant in Magnolia now! I previously gave it one star, now 5!

I love this pub! After at least 4 owners it keeps getting better. TVs everywhere making this a great place to watch the game...any game. Food is good, service is good. Clean and good company within....only lost a star because my favorite bartender Derrick isn't there anymore.

First of all, I came to the Village Pub to be at a sports bar to watch sports and drink beer. What I did not expect to see after I received my food, was a couple of toddlers running around throwing toys while their parents chatted. The whole episode was disappointing.

This place is so disappointing on so many levels. First, in less than 2 years, the ownership has changed twice. Despite that, nothing improves. The food is sub-par, the service is worse, and the indifference of management is hard to understand. They have a captive audience in Magnolia Village, and they know that and simply never try. Skip it!!

  • S P.

If I lived in Magnolia and this were close to my place, I would love it. Instead, I live in Queen Anne and drove over to the Village Pub just to be disappointed. The food was ok and the truffle fries were $9! On top of that, their website lists an incorrect Happy Hour which was disappointing for my bf and I as that was the reason we were there. Also, the waitress added our tab incorrectly and then argued with us about it. All in all its not a bad bar especially if you could walk there but other than that I would say it is nothing special.

  • Law P.

I can't believe I've never Yelped one of my most frequent haunts in Seattle. I checked out this page here and noticed the old and and surprisingly negative reviews. Time to change the tide. MVP is a great neighborhood pub and it's unfortunate that a lot of the reviews on here are so old and don't reflect the current owners and the different place that it now definitely is. I try to come here at least once every couple of weeks because it is only 2 blocks away. The crowd is eclectic, from families, old alcoholics, to 21 year olds looking to have a good drink and a good time. Anyone will feel comfortable at MVP. Yeah, originally I came here for the cheap stiff drinks and fantastic happy hour food and cocktail prices, but now I come here for I have to honestly say is the best goddamn proper burger in the city available at a place with beer and liquor. (The reason being is I still standby my previous declaration that 5 Guys is the best burger, period IMO.) Sandwiched beaten a DELICIOUS bun from Essential Baking is a proper hand pressed patty of delicious beef. I'd gotten so jaded from most bars and pubs with those flavorless uninspiring frozen hockey puck patties from Costco. I'm telling you, just go try this MVP burger. Yeah, I know it's not $4,( more like $9)but it is better than the $16 one that everyone gushes over at The Palace Kitchen (and I was slightly impressed by). So yeah, eat a tastier more satisfying burger and save that extra moolah for a pint of one of their assortment of brews. If you don't have money for a $9 burger and fries than come for happy hour and be treated to a quality HH menu of food and drink. I gotta admit my guilty pleasure is the corn dog nuggets. So juvenile, but soooooo frickin' good with beer. Karaoke night is always a good time there and way less annoying and more welcoming than Ozzie's or elsewhere. The KJ is a nice guy and he ain't bad at singing either. Also, I come here for any major UFC card, because it is only a $5 where other places charge $10 to see the same thing, and c'mon there is no bad seat in the house with the crapload of TV's they have. The management and staff here always aim to please and they make you feel like you're an old friend whether you're a frequent visitor or a first timer. I always get a "Hey Law" when I cozy up to the bar. That's a great thing. I'm sure you'll be getting a "Hey *insert your name here*" after a couple of visits too. Welcome to the neighborhood.

I have eaten here twice and the food is very interesting. It has a quite diverse menu and I a few rather upscale recipes. They try really hard to be kid friendly and I look forward to testing this restaurant.

We had lunch here after a sad family event and the food did not make me any happier. We have been here before and thought is would be a good place to grab lunch since we had been there before for drinks and Scooby Snacks. Well I can save the Scooby Snacks would have been preferred. I had a Caesar salad and the salad at Costco was a ton better at literally half the price. The lettuce was dry and chewy, the croutons were moist, and the Caesar dressing was tasting like store bought. I would probably stay away from lunch and stick to the drinks. I also liked the fact that they had small flat panels at every table, that is just a cool factor.

The place is under new management. It's a homely local bar in the busy city neighborhood. I don't think I gave it credit the last time I reviewed it, as it was in the middle of managerial transition. This pub's food quality has increased significantly and the prices are becomming better every day. With new management comes new employees. I hope they keep up the progress they've made. Great food, cold beer, and decent pool.

This place has gone seriously downhill. They used to be really good, but the last few times we've gone there have been some major errors. We wouldn't even go there anymore but they are 5 minutes from our house, it's not totally, completely bad, and we have a half-dozen $25 coupons from Restaurant dot com that we bought back when they were good and we need to use. A couple of months ago they served my daughter a chicken strip that was literally pink, translucent raw meat in the middle. She could have gotten seriously ill, but luckily noticed before she actually swallowed any of it. A few weeks ago I ordered the rib special and got spare ribs that were cooked on the outside, but raw next to the bone, like they were frozen when they were put in the oven. And just tonight, when we laughed and said, "Well, they can't be bad all the time," well, they screwed it up again. First of all we had to wait a good 10 minutes just to even get a beer. When it came time to order I thought, well maybe they learned from the previous mistakes and so I ordered the baby back ribs. When they brought the plate, I immediately noticed that they weren't baby backs, but spare ribs, which are a much cheaper cut. I cut into them, and although they were cooked through this time, they were very tough, and obviously not cooked for as long as you need to cook ribs to make them tender. I thought about sending them back, but they tasted decent, and I knew that I would have to wait even longer for another order of something else. When I told the manager that they were serving spare ribs, but advertising baby backs, he said, "Well, you get more meat with those." Yes, that's true, but you could say the same if you served me 5 pounds of hamburger, but it still wouldn't make it baby backs. Either change the menu to reflect the actual food, warn people that you are substituting when they order, or maybe just serve the damn baby backs! It's not like they are hard to find.

Went here with a local coupon for $25 dollars of free food but then I get there and I have to not only spend $35 but also have to add on automatic 18% gratuity and after all this they tell me Beer isn't included in the coupon when it says no where on it that it isn't included. but finally we go to pay and they say were short on using the coupon so I try to reason with the owner that well take a sandwich to go he then goes on to explain how they dont do to go orders just to be a ass and try to make me come back again. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap which was dripping with cheap buffalo sauce with hardly any lettuce I not only left my to go box because the sandwich was so bad but had to end up paying for food not using the coupon at all I wont be going back to this place or using Restaurants.com for discounts again. Hope this saves you some trouble. This place has gone down hill sense the new owner to bad.

I am still waiting for this place to get better. I have never had good service here and can't count the times it's been really bad. It's a very good location close to home and on those busy nights you don't have time to cook after the little league game it is so so. They did get Stella though so that made me happy. The food could be better and they need to get dessert for the kids. I do like that they are kid friendly. I don't like the service when I go there. The food is not worth the price either, but I am hoping it gets better with the new owners** crossing fingers

If you want beer, this is your place. Food is an after thought; and the place really, really, really needs cleaning.

First the good....service was friendly and efficient. The food---on a scale of 1 to 10, can't be rated. You have to expand the scale from 1 to 100 and then give it a 0. I spotted the Kobe beef burger and couldn't believe it was only $12.99, so I asked the waitress about it. She said it was from Wagyu cattle, but raised in America. Well, they must have forgotten that HOW the cattle is raised is essential. Plus, I'd say these burgers (my wife and I both ordered the same) spent a long time getting freezer burn before they hit the grill. We ordered medium-rare and what we got were two grey, dry, flavorless patties. We sent them back to get medium-rare. A short while later, two new burgers came along with a supervisor (owner? manager?) who explained to us that Kobe beef is different and that the dry gray burgers we had previously been served WERE medium rare and that they "measured" these new ones and that they are also medium rare. Well, they were gray, dry, and tasteless again. I didn't eat mine and just figured that it was at least consistent that if they thought this was Kobe beef, that they would also think that well done was medium rare. Oh, by the way, I read a review that said you just have to get the mini corn dogs. Please note that they are just wieners in corn coating. They are not special. However, they're better than the "Kobe" beef burgers.

This is a sports bar where the TVs rule. I don't think you could turn your head more than a few degrees without running into a TV playing some game or another. The food seems somewhat unthoughtful, and the beer was hardly interesting, even though they do have quite a few taps. Someone who works there is obsessed with, or owns a partial share in, Redhook Brewing Company. I am not a fan of places that have hanging glasses for regulars, and their "ladies night" didn't have a single woman. They are packed during any big game, but seem to be dead at any other time. They also close very sporadically, and early. The very plus part about this bar is the bar tenders who are skilled at conversation and cocktails. Yea to them.

Went in tonight and was gonna have the usual MVP Burger, but on the specials....was a new Mac and Cheese.....it was amazing!!!!!!! As good as that dish was, our service was beyond that. Logan was the waitress every resturant wishes they had. Absolutely will continue to go back and hope to see the Mac and Cheese added to the regular menu!

Food is mediocre and over priced. The service is average. Drinks are EX'PENSIVE. It's a pub! It should be more affordable and better food!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. I ordered a salad and my dad ordered a bleu cheese burger. Everything was fresh, tasty and prepared with skill, a little overpriced for what it was, but it was solid. My only complaint is that the vibe was just weird there on that particular night. I felt like I had stepped out of Seattle and into Pullman.

We came in about 9:30 pm on a week day for a late night burger. We couldn't have a burger because they had already turned off their grill for cleaning. They advertise their kitchen is open until 10:00 pm so we were really surprised. So we both ordered fish and chips. This was a pre-made, frozen cod coated with some kind of strange breading that has no resemblance to traditional fish and chips. The cole slaw was an afterthought of cabbage with a little dressing drizzled on top and the fries were cold. I think the whole kitchen was hopeful they could shut down early. On the upside, it's in our village, the staff is very nice and the selection of beer is good.

Needed a good sports bar in Magnolia and this was an option. They had some good local beers on tap, not the best beer, but it's Magnolia. They had more televisions than customers. Every kind of sport represented. Had some fine fried pickles, tart and finely breaded. If you're in Magnolia and are looking for an uncrowded sports bar, then this is your place. Want a good meal? Grab your feedbag and head to the Olive Garden. Bob don't care.

Fantastic happy hour value. Quality food, prices that are fair and personable great service. Highly recommend Magnolia Village Pub. The quesadillas are bursting with toppings and the chicken strips are just as great as Dairy Queen.

Sometimes the food is decent but for the most part it's pretty sub par. The service though horrible. I've encountered multiple different servers and bartenders- each experience worst then the last (I live near here which is my only reason for going). My group and myself were not checked on ONCE after ordering food. We had to go to the kitchen to get more ketchup because our server wouldn't help us. Overall pretty disappointed YET again.

This place is always solid. They have a great selection of rotating beers and an admirable happy hour menu. The service is always reliable and friendly. Their veggie burgers are great, and it is awesome to have a pub to hang out in and be able to have a burger, even if you don't eat meat. While there isn't that much other than veggie burgers for the vegetarians, that is to be expected from a pub

Love this place! Great beers and great service. The people here are really nice. Their bloody marys are pretty good too, nice and spicy. You have to try their peanut butter and bacon burger with the raspberry jam and siracha! Sounds a bit crazy, but it's a flavor bomb in your mouth! In a good way of course. Love watching the Seahawks games here, get here early though cause it fills up quickly during game days. They have specials on shots and pitchers during that time. They've got specials for taco Tuesdays and other specials/happy hour throughout the week.

Came here for lunch today and it was a lame experience. The food was not good at all and took 40 min to come out. And if you bring me my food after waiting forever, please don't let it be barely warm. From the fries to the burger to the wings, all seemed to have been sitting forever getting cold. Seems like most of the items come previously frozen as well. The beer was cold and they had a ton of TV's for football watching, the only reason I gave 2 stars.

I've been to MVP quite a few times, and generally, it's been pretty good. Lately the customer service has been going downward. For instance, I was in recently with the girlfriend and we both ordered the MVP burger. Mine was good, but her's was dark red on the thicker side of the patty (See Photo). We showed the burger to the waitress, who said "that's medium" to which we replied, "but it's red" and even showed her a piece that was cold and looked entirely uncooked (again, see photo). She replied, "they're all like that." and walked away. Basically, we stopped eating at this point. Yeah, I supposed I could rant and rave about poor service and the strange experience akin to trying to tell somebody the sky is blue, only to hear them say "no, it's purple", but that's the issue. The point is that we were trying to inform them the food we received was undercooked and potentially unsafe. It's an issue related to the safety of their food and it didn't even register as one in their mind. Overall, it made me sad because it's a great place to hang out, but unless something changes, I'm only ordering the beer (from a can).

Been here twice so far... Both times service was great, was here both times on pretty slow nights and staff was friendly and on top of it. I was actually shocked at the ratio of staff to customers both times; at most places I'd expect staff to be sent home on slower nights and have service suffer, was not the case here! Beer selection is decent, though the chalkboard never seems to be fully updated. Got a Manhattan once which was noticeably heavy on the bitters (or something funky) but still drinkable. Food is average. Got burger once which was fine. Second time got fish and chips; fish was really dark (time for an oil change), and coleslaw dressing instantly reminded me of banana laffy taffy. Will return, have a compulsion to try Thai wrap for some reason.
