When I was a kid, my grandmother would take me to Krispy Kreme on my way home from summer camp each day. She would sit at the counter with her friends and drink coffee and smoke while I stared through the glass at the machines making hot doughnuts. These days when I eat an original glazed, I think back to those enjoyable memories of my youth, it warms a special place in my heart to enjoy those moments again.

Who doesn't like a Krispy Kreme donut? So this place doesn't make the best donut in town, but they are always stocked full of donuts are consistent with what they make. The chain of all chains, if you have a hankering for something sweet and fried, this is a quick place to get your donut. My favorite thing about this Krispy Kreme is being able to view the fresh donuts being made, other than that, everything is the same, same donut, same decor, dame price, same taste.

Go after 9PM and a dozen donuts are only 6 bucks!

I knooooow, I'm not supposed to like these evil chain doughnuts when we have Top Pot, Voodoo, and Frost in the neighborhood...but NOTHING beats KK's original glazed. The doughnuts are light and airy and if you go in the morning, still warm off the conveyor belt (evidence of evil!). They are like addictive candy pieces - pop them in one after another in your mouth, and before you know it, you've eaten all 12. I've done this, at least, but instead of crying about the astronomical caloric content and my highly increased chance for diabetes, I just go back for more. Oh, for shame! I will always love you, Original Glazed. Always.

I understand it is a big chain, it probably employs unregistered aliens, but dang the doughnuts are good. To me, there is nothing better in the entire world than a good doughnut and Krispy Kreme is the place! I can always feel this trill of seeing the neon sign on and the fresh cakes coming out of the fryer... And then you get a free one to try! But wait, why are they giving now only a peace of a doughnut for free not a full one? Corporate greed? Really?

I love doughnuts just as much as you or any police officer out there, so give me a dozen of the original glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts, please!! I like to doughnuts from this location for work meetings or get-togethers. Heck I like to order it just to take home and eat LOL. I love doughnuts! Back to their location: So ideal. Being in SODO is very accessible for the masses. Whether you're on your way home from downtown or a Seahawks game, you can swing by and pick up a dozen or two of these artery cloggers. I've picked up doughnts from this Krispy Kreme after eating at Pho Cyclo in SODO just a few blocks down. True story. LOL.

How can you resist an original glazed donut from here. I know there are other local donut places in Seattle, but man when I get a to go box of these delicious donuts there is a smile on my face until I realize that I ate way more than I should have and that I should hit the gym the next day. What I love about this location is there is plenty of FREE parking. I'm so tired of fighting for parking in Seattle. I'm one of those people you see parallel parking and you cringe your teeth at them, because they make you nervous. So the free parking here makes this a stop to fill my donut needs. Also when I came back from the Mariners game on their sign it says bring in your Mariners ticket for a FREE DONUT. Score! or I think it maybe called a Run in baseball? Beats me either way I get a donut, but they are sneaky because who can only come in and get one?

I'm not a huge fan of doughnuts but I do love me some doughnut holes, they taste the same just less filling. So I hate to admit I was excited when I saw that Krispy Kreme was starting to serve them. Not only are they cute but they are tasty too. They have four different options available original glazed, glazed chocolate cake, glazed cake and glazed blueberry cake, this makes me happy because the glazed cakey doughnuts are my faves. And in hole form I can pop one maybe two and not end up with doughnut gut the rest of the day just hole gut. But I only go when the light isn't flashing because it is kind of hard to turn down an original hot glazed and if I had one that would defeat the purpose of have just a hole or two. I have to add the staff here is pretty dense, I come in three maybe four times a year and every time I have to repeat my order two maybe three times they get it wrong half the time. Or better yet they charge me double or add what ever it is that the person in line behind ordered to my bill. Having them do a reversal on the cash register is pretty entertaining it takes two sometimes three doughnut makers to make the correction. Oh and if you're a non-coffee drinker like myself and order a non-coffee drink you'll get something with coffee in it, I felt bad for the doughnut maker who had to clean up the sip I spit out of my mouth that one time, than had to deal with my anger for again messing up my order, opps sorry.

This is our favorite Krispy Kreme location - because it is open late and the Hot Now sign always seems to be on! I'm deducting 1 star because last time we were there and the Hot Now sign was on - the samples were 1/8 of a doughnut - WTF? Not like we aren't going to buy a dozen to go................

Warm, freshly made doughnuts? High-five! Seriously, there are better places in town to get a doughnut, and I'm not big on driving all the way to SoDo to get one. However, these are tasty and consistently good, and certainly best when enjoyed fresh. Their coffee is vile, however, and the location--way the hell away from everything--means that I go there once a year, tops. Krispy Kreme is like an acquaintance that you see at parties once in a while, enjoy making small talk with for 15 minutes, and never exchange contact info with because, let's be frank, you know you could never be BFF's, and you like to keep it real by not creating a friendship that isn't there. I like you, Krispy Kreme, but we don't have to hang out all the time.

In my mind, there are two types of people in the world: 1) Those who will readily and willingly admit that they love the fresh hot original glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme. & 2) Liars.

  • Brien H.

To my retrospective chagrin, wisdom did not bestow itself upon me the first several visits whence I consumed the fluffy, seemingly benevolent rings. Stomachache after stomachache, so bedazzled was I by the notion of donuts so fresh they're still warm. Ere to the Krispy Kreme, I'd ne'er sampled a pastry so sugar-laden that mine belly wailed a banshee's chorus of pain. A masochistic devil within me became addicted to the ring-ed imps for a short while. O, joyous day was such whence my path was bestowed with Top Pot Doughnuts, the hearty treats that not only sate one's appetite, but also quells a fiery sweettooth. Ne'er again, shall this bard be tricked by the Krispy Kreme witches of yore. Nay, instead he shall pledge allegiance with the forces of good, the forces of tasty. The forces of Top Pot. Word, I say.

This is my favorite location to get Krispy Kreme glazed donuts. The staff here is great and friendly. Their donuts are generally fresh. I usually go inside to buy donuts because they have a big window where you see the donut making process. Also their donuts are half price after 9pm!!!

Perfect place to get coffee and doughnuts for breakfast, lunch or an afternoon snack. Friendly staff members. Doughnuts are made in front of you. Freshly made doughnuts are very delicious, heart warming and of course so yummy! Good selection of doughnuts to pick from. The original doughnuts are a descent choice for any time of the day.

I freaking LOVE krispy kreme. The doughnuts are so light and fluffy. They are best when they are hot and fresh too. I think just the regular ones are great without all the stuff on top. One thing I like about the 1st ave location is that it is crowded meaning that the donuts are made more frequently and you get the hot, fresh goodness instead of room temp. The only downside is there are alot of homeless around. It makes me feel guilty to eat after seeing them.

So a long time ago I was a little kid. Well... a little fat kid. But still we have the adjective little and the noun kid, so technically I speak truthfully. Being a little [fat] kid, I didn't have much choice when it came down to things like waking up way too early on a Sunday, putting on way too many dressy clothes, and then going and sitting with way too many people in a church for way too long. What got me through it? The knowledge that at the end of the services, they'd have donuts and coffee, and to a little fat kid, there ain't nothin better, 'specially when there's cream and sugar cubes to drop in that coffee. I was particular to anything chocolate, but if they didn't have anything chocolate, I'd have a jelly filled. Then we'd listen to British comedy on the radio on the drive home, and the rest of the day was mine to burn off the extra calories, though I didn't manage to do that until junior high school. Tonight, while waiting for my band-mates to make an appearance for practice, it occurred to me that it's been years since I've had a donut and coffee. Maybe because it's been years since I set foot in a church. As it happens, there's a Krispy Kreme a mere 3 blocks from our studio. So into the car I got, and to the Krispy Kreme I drove. I walked into this cathedral of dough and sugar, and the guy behind the counter immediately hands me a hot, fresh, glazed donut that literally melted in my mouth. Dude, you're preaching to the choir here. After I thanked the powers that be for such a heavenly concoction, I promptly ordered a chocolate and a jelly filled. To top it off, I had myself a medium cup of joe with enough room for me to dump a generous helping of half and half and sugar in. My inner fat kid belched pleasantly. And I didn't even have to put on a suit.

Hands down absolutely the best donuts ever. My mouth is just watering thinking about the glazed creme filled one!! Note: not the custard filled :) Just make sure not the microwave the creme filled..not the best idea...I learned the hard way. This is definitely worth the drive...I'm glad I can't walk there or I'd be there every day and possibly turn into a freaking donut!! I think I just might have to go there on my way home tonight!!

So who doesn't like a warm doughnut for free? There really aren't many things I like more then fabulous pastries and I like them even more if they're free. The Krispy kreme in sodo is my favorite because it has ample seating and the staff here seem to be pretty nice. I always keep my eyes pealed as I drive down first avenue for that glowing red sign, that's the que for all us doughnut freaks to go running into krispy and snag a freebie, on the house, still warm out of the oven or fryer or whatever they put it in doughnut. Their originals are still my fave though I've tried many a variety and I continue to go back for an occasional sugar rush. Fair warning to all those of you who have read about Paula Dean's Krispy Kreme bread pudding recipe, I have made it and it calls for butter, cream, eggs, krispy kremes and condenced milk... yup you read that right that spells d-i-a-b-e-t-i-c COMA all over it. So be wary if you make it. I mean really one of these bad boy doughnuts is enough.

  • Eloise M.

Admit it. You love, like I do, to watch warm, soft, gooey doughnuts slide out on conveyor belts, running under a continuous drip of glaze. YES. Absolutely heavenly. I don't like any other doughnut at Krispy Kreme except for the plain glazed ones (surprise, surprise). Calories? Who cares? Sugar?!?! What's that? It honestly doesn't matter when you're having only the best doughnuts in the world. So unbelievably good, tasty, creamy, etc. Anyways, the store is fairly plain. Nothing about the interior design to scream about, because, of course, it's all about the doughnuts. The employees are nice enough, give me the ones that I want speedily enough for me to zip out the door and commence to gobble a couple down in the car (once again, sugar is out the door when you're having one of these). Exactly what I want, when I want. Awesome.

Dunkin' Donuts catch phrase is "America's running' on Dun kin'" Crispy Kreme's should be "America's get tin' fat on Krispies" (PS Krispy Kreme's coffee is BOMB.com !)

One of Elvis' favorite breakfasts was 2 hot donuts and a cup of coffee. They were probably Krispy Kreme donuts - one of the reasons Elvis got so obese. The sugar content of the original glazed, along with the very finely ground flour used to make these, is enough to give the glucose sensitive a blackout. Nothing else gives a sugar rush quite like a Krispy Kreme - maybe they should call it Krispy Krack. The coffee, especially the "smooth" variety, is very good. The staff are friendly. The restrooms are clean. It's a good place to take a rest from a long day. You can get a free donut here. The donuts are too sugary though.

Not sure what all the hype was about these donuts... people had brought them in to the office and sure, they were good, it's a donut for f*ck's sake. The only reason to actually eat one and say, "damn that was tasty," is when the light is on and you get a hot donut. Never had I actually had one before then, and I'll give it to them, damn dee-lish.

I am Miss Popular when I bring in two dozen doughnuts to work. Am used to going there twice a month. Won't go there again and am telling everybody else not to visit this store. When doughnuts are not a "must" have this store does its best and succeeds in being as rude as possible to their customers. Throwing boxes of doughnuts (hey - what about giving me the HOT ones instead of the leftover cold and dripping with glomy icing ones?!), attitude, and just downright rudeness made me realize I'll stick to other bakeries in Seattle that have fresher, better doughnuts and better customer service.

While on yet another visit to Seattle Pottery - my home away from home - I noticed the huge Krispy Kreme sign and had to fight the urge to make a quick detour to what was once a staple food for Seattlites. It was 2.30pm when I was driving back past the pearly gates (oh, I mean the Krispy Kreme entrance) and the hunger pains from the lunch I never ate proved too much to resist. To tell the truth, I was never a huge fan of Krispy Kreme as they actually tasted just too sugary for the likes of me. So I don't know what it was that tugged at my heart strings this particular day, but I felt the need for sugar and a little comfort that only a sugary doughnut could provide. I took the plunge and proceeded through the drive thru where I politely stated my request of "1 Krispy Kreme, please". I was greeted by a courteous and cheery salesperson who repeated my order for 1 dozen Krispy Kremes. He was in shock when I corrected him and told him that I only wanted 1 Krispy Kreme and he confessed that no one had ever ordered just ONE doughnut before. Well, they have now! It definitely managed to hit the spot, however one doughnut was more than enough and something my waistline could have done without. I will probably not return because of all the guilt associated with eating junk food, but I am giving them 4 stars because the staff were fabulous, the service was fast (you don't want to keep those sugar crazed junkies waiting) and the price is right - espcially for one little doughnut! * They lose 1 star for the unhealthy fat content in most, if not all, of their yummy treats! Exactly 12 grams of fat in one little ole original glazed doughnut. ** Did you also know to 'Look for the Hot Light!' It is a tell tale sign for customers that good news is a' comin. When the light is turned on during certain hours of the day and night, it means that the Original Glazed yeast-raised doughnuts are coming out RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT! So come on in and get them while they are HOT! HOT! HOT!

  • Tim C.

Only the original glazed doughnuts are worth getting. All the other cream-filled, cake, sprinkles, etc. etc. doughnuts just don't cut it. And if you're lucky enough to come when the "Hot Now!" sign is on - you'll be in for a treat. This Krispy Kreme is particularly clean and well-kept, the service is friendly, and the smells are mouth-watering. The location is a little out of the way, but it's well worth the drive out here for some Hot Now! original glazed doughnuts.

For those who aren't a giant fan of sweets, this review is for you. This was my first visit to Krispy Kreme. We got a half dozen, but I only tried two because I couldn't handle the sweetness. I had the original and a bit of the brownie batter donut. It was good but not spectacular. I actually think this brand of donuts is overrated and hyped up for disappointment. The original glaze was super sweet, it actually gave me a little ache in my mouth. It'd be great with coffee and awesome for kids and those who love sweet donuts. I really love fluffy donuts and this had no fluff. It felt flat and the glaze is really over powering. I would eat it again, if someone else bought it lol. I've had better donuts (try Delite Bakery!) and the brownie batter was the same as the glaze just with fudge in the middle and chocolate on top, not super exciting either. The service was really friendly and the place is super duper clean, which I enjoyed!

Pretty standard Krispy Kreme, but that is why we visit. When you need that calorie bomb and want to know what you are getting, this is a great place. The parking lot is so tight and always full, but you know they are going to have your favorite donut ready to go. They have a drive-thru and lots of seating upstairs on a nice day too.

I accidentally stumbled upon this location when I parked my car nearby for a Mariners baseball game at Safeco field at the end of June. The shop didn't look open when I walked by at 7pm, but it was lit up like a Christmas tree, jam packed with cars in the parking lot and had a line to the door immediately after the Saturday night game. This was my first time to a Krispy Kreme store. When I lived on Oahu, people would fly to Maui and bring back boxes of plain glazed donuts by the dozen to sell for $10 as a fundraiser. It was a sure thing, and I was one of the many that would drive out of my way to buy a box from a stranger on the road. Consequently, I was thrilled to see so many donut varieties at this store location and was absolutely giddy at the prospect of trying them....ALL! The young girl from Australia working here for the summer was pleasant and patient as I gawked at the large selection. She diligently picked an assorted half dozen of cream or fruit filled donuts and placed them in a big enough box so they wouldn't fuse together into a massive ball of sugar mush. I also ordered a soda and a bottle of milk to go. This was roadtrip food for my long drive back to Bellingham. Thankfully the donuts stayed fresh and delicious so I could enjoy them over the course of the following week. The donuts were delightfully fluffy, but held their shape without collapsing into a gooey mess when biting down. The cream and custard fillings were very light, and perfectly penetrated the inner cavity of the donut without overwhelming it or leaving it high and dry. The fruit fillings, like the peach flavor, had hints of spice and were not over-the-top, sickly sweet. Everything seemed to be perfectly balanced. While I generally prefer to spend my dollars to support local mom and pop shops, I certainly wouldn't turn away the opportunity to indulge my sweet tooth here again.

It's always nice to have options !! Krispy Kreme is a great "Donut-Chain" Option to have. In the Great Northwest for some reason it seems to be limited to Top Pot and Mom & Pop shops. Krispy Kreme offers Great Coffee and a Damn Good Glazed Doughnut. There is nothing like a Hot Glazed Krispy Kreme right off the Cooling Rack and a cup of Coffee !! It literally melts in your mouth !! Fantastic. Sure they have other choices, Maple Bars, Jelly filled, Seasonal treats..... They are all pretty good too. Really cool being able to see the assembly line type process in making them. I don't know of any other doughnut place that has that. This is a nice location and usually pretty busy. A short distance from the Ferries & the Stadiums. Usually very clean with locks on the bathrooms (probably due to local transients) Always a Great Stop and if you can grab a box at night for your next morning at work I'm sure your fellow co-workers in the morning would be very happy with a surprise like that.

Found it by accident.. but I`m so glad I did! As European, I understand why Homer Simpson so loves doughnuts, it was amazing. Just the environment wasn`t so good since there were some dirty tables so maybe take away is better option but next time in USA.. I`ll definitely visit again. Can only recommend..

Needed to satisfy my doughnut craving. Not going to lie, this was my first time going to a doughnut shop that's not a dunkin donut. Been planning to come here for weeks now. Today was that day! Walked in and found out that they were out of their original. Was told the wait was only going to be a 10-15 minute wait. So my girlfriend and I decided, why not. At this location you can see their doughnuts made right in front of you. See them go into the fryer and glazed on their conveyor. My girlfriend and I were the only ones waiting so as soon as they came out, we were the first to get the newest batch. Let me tell you, when someone is craving doughnut, nothing beats a freshly fried doughnut straight from the oil. I drooled watching it go from the fryer on to the conveyor belt into my hands and into my stomach. Ended up buying two dozens because they had a double doughnut deal. Two dozens for 15.99. On top of waiting which was voluntarily. My girlfriend and I received two fresh free doughnut on top of the two dozens we bought because we waited patiently. Very well treated by their staff. I am very pleased with this visit. P.S. felt very guilty afterward. Was too good to eat only just one.

I was in the store in the SODO district on 6.2.2015, my 51st Bday and was treat with disrespect. The young lady who served me was rude and insensitive and the fact that she smashed my cream donut in the bag and refused to replace it without an argument in front of other costumers. Bad costumer service. Then the manager said she was sorry and would send me a coupon for a free donut. Really? I drive 20 miles for a Krispy Kreme donut, it get's smashed and I get treated rudely and all I get is a coupon for a replacement donut? ok..never going there again, I stead went to TOP POT donuts at Alki, nicer people. The donuts are good, the costumer service on this day wasn't.

After a concert at the Showbox, (and a few drinks) I decided that I NEEDED to come here ASAP. Considering it was late at night, I was impressed that the glazed donuts were still nice and warm - and seemingly fresh. They seemed to have sold out of most but given that they were only open for another 15 minutes, I figured that was a good thing. However, I was happy as a clam to find out these were only $0.99 each. I checked my bank card the day after to assess my damage from the concert. When I saw the $0.99 charge, I thought it was a service fee to use my card at Krispy Kreme. When I realized that that was the cost of the doughnut, I was even happier. Best. Day. Ever.

The best cheat day breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. I could eat these doughnuts any time of the day haha. This location is easy to get to, has lots of parking and a drive-thru option. It's very convenient and clean. The staff has always been super nice and helpful.

Had to meet someone here so I ordered an iced coffee and a donut. They lady at the register seemed distracted. When I ordered I had this feeling like she wasn't even listening. And when my large iced coffee came to me as a large hot coffee, after repeating twice I wanted a large iced coffee, black, no cream or sugar, TWICE, i got a large hot coffee. Ok, so for the third time I asked for a large iced coffee, and when I got it, man... it was terrible. I threw it away. Oh yeah, my donut... stale at 9:30 in the morning... how is this possible? It had to be old from night before or something. I can't comprehend how a national chain with you know, standards and procedures and such, could fail so badly at something as simple as a donut and iced coffee? More motivation to never eat donuts again...

Unbeatable quality. Love these things. They are death in the form of a donut. If I could I would probably eat a dozen. Anyways, went through the drive thru on a Thursday night at around 8pm. My mom being who she is, asked for a free donut. We had ordered a dozen donuts (got the free other dozen per their deal) as well as a maple bar and powdered donut. However, they didn't give us a any free donuts and just gave us the powdered and maple for free. Super nice guys.

I stopped in at 6:15am yesterday to buy 4 dozen mixed donuts and 3 coffee boxes for my staff. The lady who waited on me was quick, efficient, and pleasant (how can she do that so early in the morning). The other lady who had to fill the coffee boxes was also very pleasant...even though she had to brew coffee and then pour it into the coffee boxes because they don't fit into the brew machine. While I waited, I grabbed napkins and thought about grabbing creamer/sugar/etc. but decided we had some at work and left Krispy Kreme's stash alone. I also noticed how clean everything was, including the donut making assembly line which had a lovely "glaze-fall" that was a bit mezmerizing. Just before my 3rd coffee box was ready, I took my donuts and one of the filled coffee boxes out to my car. When I returned, I saw the cashier filling a smaller box with sugars & splendas as well as stir sticks. Then she pulled a new 1/2 gallon of half & half out of the fridge. When the 3rd coffee box was filled, the "coffee" lady smiled and wished me a good day as she handed it to me and the cashier walked with me to my car carrying the coffee accessories. We focus on customer service where I work and had just done a training on how to create "WOW" moments for the customer by exceeding their expectations. These ladies definitely delivered a "WOW" moment :) P.S. The donuts and coffee were both terrific and did not last the day :)

Oh, Krispy Kreme. I'm pretty sure it was thanks to them that donuts are now considered synonymous with food for me. That's why it was acceptable for me to come in here for lunch. The only reason I was in the SODO area was that there was a game going on, but unfortunately there were no decent nearby restaurants to Yelp! The convenience store across the street had run out of Vietnamese sandwiches, and all that was left was a Starbucks. So Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for lunch it was then, and they did not disappoint! They had a double dozen deal going on where you can get two dozen normal glazed donuts for $12.99. I don't know whether it's something that's always going on or seasonal. Either way, those donuts are a steal at that price, and I was more than happy to munch on them for lunch despite the ridiculous caloric intake I must have been getting. Way better than the generic donuts that are a lot more expensive at other stores! As if that weren't enough, I got a drink to go along with it. The banana shake seemed too tempting to pass up. It was $2.49, half the price of the regular shake at Baskin-Robbins and the vanilla milkshake from Pulp Fiction! I saw real banana slices going into the blender, and it came topped with whipped cream, and it was really good. Krispy Kreme needs to stop being so appealing if I'm not to gain any weight!

So, after many years, I finally walked into a Krispy Kreme location. Nothing against the chain, I was just never that excited about doughnuts to go in. Its been some time since the crazy hype for these places hit the northwest and I have had a few here and there, but this was the very first time I had the opportunity to sample one of their famous creations hot off the assembly line. One thing I noticed right away was how sparkling clean every nook and cranny of the place was almost to the point where it kind of creeped me out just a little bit. Still, this was really nice considering the location in the heart of the SoDo district which is not exactly know for being upper class in any way. The service was fast, friendly, and my order was filled in a very efficient manner. before I knew it, I was on my way with four doughnuts neatly tucked into a box for my eventual enjoyment. Of course, the first one didn't last long as I needed to try one of the hot, fresh ones as this is when they are supposed to be at their best. I will say it was pretty tasty although there was no magical transformation that would have been cause for undue celebration, but yeah...no complaints.

Just found out a KK in SODO area... My team will be excited for my findings for morning meetings. Drive Thru service was a breeze and good. "6 dozens to go please!"

I am giving this place one less star because the sign said the donut were hot and fresh which I thought means you get one off the conveyor belt, but sadly they did not. I came in to this location to get some halloween donuts for my co-workers. They had some adorable pumpkin shaped and spider web donuts. It is VERY DANGEROUS to know how close my work is to this place now I will say....

Lyrics by Corinna K. Look at this box, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think that my dozen's complete? Wouldn't you think I'm the girl, the girl who has everything? Look at this trove, treasures untold. How many doughnuts can one stomach hold? Looking around here you think, "Sure, she's got everything". I've got cakes and old fashioneds a-plenty, I've got fritters and sprinkles galore You want cream filled? I've got twenty! But who cares? No big deal. I want more... I wanna be where the doughnuts are, I wanna lick, wanna lick the frosting. Licking it off of those - what do you call 'em? Oh - bars! Eating some fruit, you won't get too far. Treats are required for eating feelings. Chasing away all those - what's that word again? Scars. Eating a glazed, eating the holes, Trying to reach all my deep-fried goals. Doughnut-in' free - wish I could eat All of that world What would I give if I could live only on doughnuts? What would I pay to spend a day, eight in each hand? Bet'cha that you can't understand, Bet you can't eat that many crullers. Bright young women, sick of slimmin', Time to expand. And ready to part with my body's needs. Fuck all your protein, I want some bear claws. What is a carrot and why should I - what's the word? Care? No I won't share. Why would I share, or give up my torrid doughnut affair? Please let me be So I can eat All of that world.

I've hiked down this way from the market, and the location is pretty good. Not sure what else is nearby, but it has a decent sized parking lot and good interior seating. My only gripe is that they didn't have the selection of doughnuts I was expecting to see based on the website, and the chairs/tables weren't very comfortable. Basically, eat and go, sitting here to read/relax/work isn't the best environment.

I tried original glazed, I like them warm, maple doughnut is also good, the size shrunk since I had them last time ... Overall , crispy creme has good doughnuts, the coffee was horrible though, watery and tasteless, gas station type of coffee..I would give them 5 stars if they serve better coffee ...

Mmmm delicious mouth watering glazed donuts that are about 190 calories each? HECK YES. ANYDAY..just not everyday. Love the donuts here and the people that work here are pretty friendly and good. Clean and open atmosphere, smell DELICOUS EVERYTIME, it better! TRY IT, YOULL LOVE IT

I have tried Krispy Kreme many times before and am impressed by how light and fluffy the doughnuts are. I always seem to have tried only their original glazed which is what they are known for, but since I am a fan of doughnuts I would definitely have to try the other kinds. I can probably easily eat a half dozen of them at one sitting, but it would be bad for my diet and the overall added calorie count LOL! They are just heavenly when they are fresh and warm. Right now they have an offer of $13.99 for two dozen. On a side note if you have Foursquare they have a free combo offer when you check-in here.

What is there about Krispy Kreme that hasn't been said? You can't go wrong with the Original Glazed, some like them during "Hot Donut" time, but I find room temp. ones have more substance and not too sweet for taste. Others I'd like from time to time are Custard Filled, Lemon Filled, Raspberry Filled, and even the Old Fashioned. Not a fan of their maple flavored items, just too sweet and not maple enough. Also, their Cream Filled filling taste too artificial. Their Police Combo (2 Original Glazed, and cup of coffee), is always good for a traditional donut experience. This location is the most convenient of the three around Seattle. But all three have the same feel and quality. A good thing, I suppose.

I am in the minority here but sadly, I am not a fan of their plain glazed doughnuts. They are too soft and gushy against my teeth, like there's nothing to bite onto. Now don't get me wrong, a lovely airy dessert with a light mouthfeel is awesome! I love sponge cake and angel food... it's just when I take a bite of their glazed that I feel empty inside like the calories I'm consuming. I've been here twice. First time through the drive-through to pick up doughnuts by request. The employee working the counter was speedy and very friendly. The second time I was in the lobby with friends who craved doughnuts. Again the staff was super-friendly and I found the inside dining area to be clean.

National doughnut day I was expecting long lines, not a big selection and wait times thru the roof. Walked in to be greeted by who I'm guessing was an owner, and immediately we were handed a free glazed. After we made the hardest decision of my weekend, which two I wanted, literally handed over my card and was in and out. Five minutes total. The delay? My indecisiveness.

This is a fun visit to overload on calories- but for a good cause- the cause being my tastebuds and my inner child are always pleasantly delighted. Try to come with the sign is on, which means the doughnuts are rolling off the assembly line and you get a free one. If not, a regular raised for 10 seconds in the mircowave at home and you feel like it just came off the line. I like their crullers a great deal but I was sad to find out that there are no more chocolate flings. I was heartbroken, but like prohibition when you're an alcoholic, it may be a good thing. DRIVE THROUGH! WOOOT!

The best donuts in the world - Krispy Kreme - come from the same home town i do. RALEIGH, NC. The South knows how to do sweet if i dont say so myself. I mean wheres the sweet iced tea in this state. Try it you might like it and claim it as your own like Krispy Kreme and Burts Bees (yes also from NC). I was reminded by either a fellow north carolinan or a historian that they actually originated in another part of NC. So apologies for my faux pas but they became truly famous in Raleigh, NC. :-)

*** DRIVE -THRU PATRONS BEWARE!!! ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR CHANGE BACK HERE!!! *** Let's face it, here in Seattle, there are other more delicious, donut options i.e. Mighty-O and Top Pot. That being said, every once in a while, a plain, glazed, Krispy Kreme donut still hits the spot, especially when the "Hot Light" is on (or if not, you can take it home and stick it in the microwave for 10-seconds and it's almost as good as being fresh off the line). Today (at about 2 or 3 PM) my husband and I found ourselves at the Lowes up in Bitter Lake, and after 1 hour of circling Lowes looking for home maintenance-related goods, a Krispy Kreme donut was just what I needed. I convinced him to go through the drive-thru and we ordered 1 donut each. Our total came out to $2.28. We gave the drive-thru employee $5.28. He handed us our donuts, some napkins, and then just stared at my husband blankly until my husband said " Uh... Our $3.00 change?" to which the employee suddenly came alive and said "Oh, I give that at the end!" and held up our change with his other hand (the one that was furthest away from the drive-thru window). I CALL BS!!!! Now I have never been a food service employee, but i have been through my fair share of drive-thru windows and the exchange has always been: Pay, get change back, then get food and napkins at the end. My husband and I are thinking that this gentleman wanted to pocket our change, and hoped we would drive away after he handed us our food and napkins. 4 Stars for a delicious when warm donut that magically melts in your mouth -2 stars for the employee who tried to pocket my change. (Yes, it's just $3.00 but in this day and age, every little bit counts, and it is totally NOT OK.) I am hoping Krispy Kreme Owners/Management reads this and addresses this issue with its employees.

I looooooooooooove Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. They are my favorite above all doughnuts I've had from anywhere else, including Top Pot. The drive-thru option is super convenient for when I want to have my sugar fix on the go or when I'm headed home from a long day downtown. There are few things in this world that are better than a freshly baked glazed doughnut. I just love how they are SO light and not too sweet. They literally melt in your mouth! Yummm. And, like an idiot, I picked up my doughnuts from the wrong end of the bag one time and they fell on the floor. I seriously wanted to cry, but the lovely lady working that day replaced them for free.

First off, I like Krispy Kreme doughnuts so most of my stars are for the product. I don't frequent Krispy Kreme but I've been to this location a few times. The most recent stop I made here was a positive experience. It was fairly busy and there was a line, but we got in and out pretty quickly. We ordered a dozen assorted doughnuts and the person helping us was patient as we chose which flavors we wanted. I also ordered a mocha, which was surprisingly really good so if, for some crazy reason, I don't come back for doughnuts...I'll definitely order a drink. But let's be real, I WILL come back for doughnuts.

I ate three Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts this morning. It was not one of my proudest moments. Seriously, the Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts are what made me appreciate glazed doughnuts. I used to eat the ones that were covered in chocolate/vanilla icing with sprinkles at Dunkin Donuts but then I switched over to Krispy Kreme, and it's like there's no turning back. The doughnuts melt in your mouth when they're fresh and hot off the line (or the microwave at home). They are rather chewy. I think the doughnuts used to be bigger back in the day but they are still pretty good. The glaze has a tendency to break and flake off so be careful if you're wearing black. Six doughnuts for $5.49, tax included. Not bad. I think this is bad news for my waistline.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are the best, especially the original glazed donuts! I'm not much a baker, so during the holidays, I don't bake any cookies or brownies but KK is a lifesaver. Right now KK has two dozen original glazed donuts for $12.99 so basically it is buy one dozen and get one dozen for FREE! It makes great treats for the holidays because everyone loves them. It last a long time and if you nuke them in the microwave...it taste like it came fresh from the oven. If you are lucky and get them fresh....it is melt in your mouth with a fluffy tender bite. It was great seeing friends and family eyes light out when I gave them a box of original glazed KK donuts. Hurry and get two dozen for $12.99 same price as one dozen right now! nom nom nom.

My southern roots came out this weekend! I grew up with these lovely fried sweet puffs clouds! I'm sure if you buy a dozen they might give you a free glaze off the assembly line...for free! Just smile and be nice! On Fri, July 13, it was Krispy Kreme 75th birthday - so a great special was run where you bought a dozen and you could buy a dozen original glaze for .75 cents! I ended up buying 4 dozen! Yikes! What a Great deal! So, I ended up taking to a party, put a knife in the box and let people cut how much off each donut rather than having to eat a whole one. For the leftover boxes, I turned the lovely morsels into an adult dessert - a Krispy Kreme bread pudding with dark rum butter cream glaze! It was a hit! I definitely recommend trying out the recipe! *** Diabetics BEWARE!*** blog.cookingchanneltv.co… Gotta love a Krispy Kreme!

First of all, Krispy Kreme has amazing donuts. I've been going to this location for quite some time, usually late at night when they used to do their half off after a certain hour. I'm so sad they stopped doing that! The reason I'm giving this location 2 stars is because of their service. I recently went in on a Monday night. It wasn't too busy, but there were a few people there. And when it was my turn to choose donuts, the worker tending to me was very rude for no reason! He seemed annoyed and when I asked clarifying questions he would answer them with an attitude. Simple questions like if the large maple bar counted as one or two (I was getting half assorted for my dozen), and how many I had left to choose from. They do btw have name tags, and I could easily call in to complain, but I'll just give them 2 stars!

Donuts are great but service was not friendly. We have a Krispy Kreme in the Sacramento, CA area. This Seattle store has more options and is larger but the customer service is not to par. I felt was was bothering the staff when I placed my order. Good product. Nice location, Need to address making the customer feel welcome and wanted.

great donuts, but slow ass service. We only went to this location since we were in the area and figured the kids should have a treat since they've never had a Krispy Kreme Doughnut before. Also, I wasn't impressed with their coffee. I had ordered a white chocolate mocha...it did taste good, but for a cold, rainy weather, I was a bit disappointed that the drink itself wasn't "piping hot". In fact, it was lukewarm. I had wanted to let the guy who made my drink know, but it was so busy that I didn't want to bother. The staff were nice, but I can tell they were a bit overwhelmed with the busyness of the crowds, and it was busy, and I was just 2 customers behind from getting my order, and it took nearly 25 min for them to help me out. I could give this place less stars, but the donuts were fine. It's just the wait time that took forever.

Fresh, soft, tasty and seasonal. I always can find one or twelve worth grabbing for a snack. I tend to always come at night, rather than dealing with early morning lines. Their red/green sprinkled donut for December is great. Surprisingly great actually. If you're lucky enough to get one right off the conveyor belt, savor every melting morsel in your mouth. Worth the trip right there.

In my spirit of trying things I don't understand on my recent USA trip, I gave Krispy Kreme another try. I've tried them in the UK and when I said I didn't like them in my Yelp review, I received many anguished messages from American Yelpers telling me how misguided I was and how to eat them - apparently, they're best microwaved for 7 seconds on high! Just in case they taste different on this side of the pond, I gave them another go. They're pleasant in that slightly over-sweet way and I made sure I got a warm one but seriously guys, at that price, they're extortionate. It may be the Chinese thrifty gene in me but they're not worth that money.

Wanted to thank to staff we had to order about 20 dozen glazzed and assorted donuts on a very short notice for an corp event. They were able to step up and get it done for us. They were very helpful getting it out to our car along with getting us all the essentials.

  • RONALD W.

I love, love this place when there are fresh donuts coming down the line. Sometimes they give samples, so I just order a coffee. Donuts sitting for a while and reheated in the microwave just aren't the same though...

  • Jasmine T.

This isn't about the donuts! Don't believe their website! This place is not where they say it is on their map. Google map it or you'll end up in an empty parking lot. Just saying... in case you want to wander drunkenly like I did to Stewart and 1st and not have a donut.

Oh Krispy Kreme you are the devil and so good. I know this is very evil to say but, I think I like you better than Top Pot and your prices are twice as good. Sorry Top Pot but, when I need to buy donuts for work I come here because I can get 2 dozen here cheaper than I get can get a dozen from you. Plus the nothing beats the way a warm original glaze melts in your mouth.

Very Good moist doughnuts. I love the original glaze. For a dozen the price is fair as well.

This heightened adoration and great reviews are solely for the original glazed donuts. I could eat a full box of it, I could make a pillow out of it just so it can be in my dreams. Let me tell you a dramatic story, after a failed attempt of searching for a food truck in the SODO area, walking in the rain. I figured to at least eat something, so there it was, standing right there like the gates to heaven. A krispy kreme chain. So I went up to the counter, and got the glazed original donut, who can't do without it? No one. I munched on the baby like there's no tomorrow. After my blood sugar levels were pumped, I started jumping with joy (inside of course, I don't want to alert observers that I was in fact mentally crazy). These donuts does things to you. Especially if they're right out of the oven, a fresh warm batch, oh the things I would do with you, hold you like a frisbee and swing you into my goal (in my mouth). The glaze was melting with my hot fingers, the donut was soft yet the outer crust was crispy (from all the coagulated sugar). I also love the raspberry filled donut, with each time, a sweet jam fills your pie hole, yes please (sprinkle some powdered sugar on that baby). MHMMMM Fun fact: I just realized that if their sign was flashing red, it means they just recently baked fresh batches. I just knew about that. Now, there's even an app to track down chains which have fresh batches. How cool is that? At last an app that's actually useful in my world. RIP Steve Jobs though. We love you for all your contributions, especially this one.

Try the little baked cakes! They're like a cross between muffins and cake-cakes. Granted they're not doughnuts, but they'll satisfy your sweet tooth just as well (at a slight premium... worth it though). My favorite is the lemon raspberry cake but they're all quite good. I can't imagine how much fat goes into keeping them soft and delicious for so long, but you're not allowed to think about such trivial matters, ssshhh. I particularly love the SODO location because 1) the employees are always so nice and friendly, and 2) they're currently offering half-off dozens after 9PM!

  • Dae Y.

Being a native or North Carolina, donuts to me means Krispy Kreme and nothing else. I couldn't be happier that they made their way out here. Too bad their business with respect to their stock price sucks more than humanly possible. I like to walk in and see the merchandise and pick out an assorted box. Usually half glazed and half mixed. Today the food was great as usual. The service was a bit odd. I stood there, the only person at the counter/register and no one asked if we wanted anything for a while. A little odd, but whatever. They have the secret recipe and it effing works! -dhy

I love Krispy Kremes. They are so light and fluffy. They are best when warm and if your lucky you get a freebie. Coffee + Donuts = Caffiene + Sugar which is a good combo no matter how you look at it.

It'll be a cold day in hell before I pass up a donut from Top Pot, Daily Dozen, Mighty-O, or even from most grocery stores for that matter, but I can always seem to pass on a donut from Krispy Kreme. I'm just not fan.
