My college friend's 90-something year old Chinese Grandma used to drag him here every weekend for Dim Sum. And then, when I was roommates with him, my friend would drag me here. But, I wasn't protesting too much. To me, Dim Sum centers around around the steamed hum bow. And, for my money, the Four Seas has the best steamed hum bows I've yet to encounter. So, you order me four of those, and I'm in heaven. Still, the other dim sum dishes I've had here are all great too. The sesame ball, the boiled spare ribs, the other thing... OK, frankly, I don't know the names of most of the things I eat here, but that doesn't matter since, like most dim sum restaurants, they wheel little carts full of food around to the tables and you just have point and go "That! That!" As far as the actually ambiance goes, its got that sort of "Chinese restaurant that time forgot" vibe to it. But, in a good way. And, its generally crowded enough that you know the foods good, but without it being too difficult to get a seat. Plus, with the large bay of windows along one side of the dinning area, its generally bright, if not cheerful. Oh, and if you are looking to find a small lounge where you can order one rum and Coke for $3 and get fall down drunk from it, look no further. My friends and I went here once for a quick drink before going out on the town. And, while the lounge is a little sketchy, they delivered the goods. In this case, "the goods" meant "a large amount of cheap alcohol for nearly free." Ow.

We went there for dim sum. Service was nice and friendly, food was good (I can't remember the name of a single dish!), no more and no less than what I expect from a Chinese restaurant in Seattle. The free parking was a great bonus. We will definitely go back!

Pretty bad service, ordered dim sum ( not homemade), so nothing is special. a ton of empty parking lot...... maybe changed the owner.. Never Ever gonna there

Extremely bad restaurant. I believe I can make the dishes better than that. However, the price is so high. The steam rice for 4 people cost 5 bucks....Will never go back there.

We had our wedding reception here and we couldn't have been happier. The food was great, the staff was nice and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. Very easy to work with. Our out of town guests loved it.

Holy lord. Almost empty parking lot. Giant, cavernous restaurant with ONE old white guy eating lunch. Monday 11:30 am. Meant to go to Jade Garden but on the way around the block looking for parking my dining companion said Oh look I think I went here before...and there's parking! I felt a little weird about it (especially since we were ONE BLOCK away from guaranteed awesome dimsum. Why oh why did we eat here. Most things were cold and they heat it up in oil on a portable burner. Egg rolls were lukewarm in the middle and mushy. So greasy. Lo mai gai was okay but the tiny piece of sausage in it tasted ODD. Har gau (my fave) was freshish tasting but the wrapper was falling off, not shiny, taut and perfect like Jade Garden. The shrimp stuffed pepper was okay. Overall, just okay. I definitely fear food poisoning just because everything wasn't hot, but it tasted okay so maybe I'll survive the night. I have to say I went here against my better judgement and it won't happen again!!! If I start praying to porcelain later I'll take off another star. If you go in restaurant in the ID and there's NO chinese people eating, LEAVE!!! Soooooo greasy...... *burp*

Wow, the other reviews pretty much cover it. Went for Dim Sum, true they do have free parking and plentiful and plenty of open seats, but reading all the "bad signs" in other reviews, no Asian people, signs claiming "Mobil Gas best Dim Sum 1994", an empty parking lot and no wait were all a bit disconcerting and should have been our signs. Anything we ate was just greasy and super salty, terrible and pricey. Would never come back.

Whoaaaa! Parking lot was practically empty! Guess we missed the lunch crowd. The service was alright and the food was just so so. The fried turnip cake was kind of pasty and the egg custard tarts were TINY! I think we are jaded. We are from Los Angeles for a wedding. Boy we got it GOOOOOOOD here in Southern California! ps the pot stickers were nice and big but they were sooo DENSE!

I'm not a Dim Sum fanatic, so I may be way off-base here. Still, after biting into a RAW pork item which was delivered on the "hot" tray, I have my reservations about this place. A group of 8 went for Dim Sum today, and we sampled quite a few items. Aside from a select few dishes, most were too oily or bland. Or both. Either way, I wasn't loving it. Prices weren't too bad, although with our servers not understanding us most of the time, they probably could have charged us whatever they wanted. On the plus side, there's a parking lot for this restaurant only. On the negative side, you'd have to eat here.

  • Shahaf A.

The food was pretty bad. The cashew chicken (which is listed as one of their spacialties) had a weird sweet-n-sour flavor. The egg rolls were enormous and filled with mushy cabbage and celery, and deep fried forever. The bean-sauce dishes were ok. In short, we're definitely not planning to come back here again.

what up, ladies, and gents? welcome to they dynasty room! i live in chinatown, and for more than10 years this has been me and my girl friend's favorite bar, because of the dynasty. it's got a great old dark wood decor with carved chinese tableaux, the drinks (mai thai!) are strong, and the lights are low and the TVs are on mute. but the best part? the best part is the bar is always playing old soul and r&b. it used to be better years ago when they would play super obscure 70's stuff, but this bar for me is magic. i've met city council people and great drunks. it's just lovely.

Ok, so I know the owners... That doesn't grant me any special treatment by the wait staff, make the bathrooms any cleaner or hope that they change the carpet one day. I didn't come here for the last 10+ years for that - I've always come for the dim sum. It's always been pretty good to me, then they go and change the recipe for their shumai. It's still good, only different. It's like when Coke decided to try something new... so I'm waiting for them to go back to the original. Can't beat free parking especially in the I.D. I go hungry, leave full, happy and still have coin in my pocket.

Aaahh, dim sum at the Four Seas. My family used to go way back when it was only on weekends, but now you can dim sum every day. There's nothing fancy about this place and it's been around FOREVER but it has a loyal clientele for a reason. When we didn't go out to eat Japanese we ate here (and that's saying a lot for a rabidly Japanese father). The things they can do to a duck... my favorite is the crispy duck. Oh, and the fried shrimp balls. And anything with tofu in it. If you've never done dim sum, try it here. The meals are good too.

decided to go here for dim sum this morning because it was empty and we were starving. we thought service would be fast and we would not have to wait for a table. both ended being true but we should have known from the empty seats and the lack of chinese patrons that it was a bad sign to eat here. we ordered their special chow mein and it was extremely disappointing. the noodles tasted like top ramen noodles from a bag that had been boiled and then salted to death and tossed with some canned vegatables (reminded me of my college days...lol). i highly do not recommend chow anything at this restaurant. the dim sum however was acceptable. shumai and hargow was average. they did have a tofu stuffed with shrimp dim sum dish that was quite good and the only saving grace of our meal. i think i will stick to my rule of only going to dim sum restaurants where the servers dont understand english and pointing is the only way of directing what dish i want next.

I regret going to this restaurant. 1. The food is way too salty, and greasy 2. The service is terrible, we raised our hand up, one of the servers moticed and pretended they didn't see... like what the hell. 3. There were barely any customers and we didnt notice the hint. The restaurant is bad. 4. The utensils are dirty, even the chairs had crumbs the only good thing about this place is the wifi, they let you write how bad of a restaurant they are while you're in the restaurant

I'm a usual at Honey Court but the line there was waaaay too long for me. Unfortunately, I made the wrong choice of being impatient and settling with here. Right as I walked in it was pretty empty. Just two other families inside. It was an awkward silence as well. I ordered crab ragoons, garlic chicken and bbq pork fried rice. The crab ragoons were over fried, almost stale tasting. Garlic chicken wasn't garlic-y. Bbq pork fried rice wasn't hot when served and the bbq pork was a little odd. Service wasn't the best. Our waitress was rude. She looked like she hated her job lolllll. All in all I won't be back. The food was mediocre.

Sunday, 12:00 o'clock. Looking for Dim sum. Jade garden and harbor city 45 min wait. This place was completely empty (even w free parking). As soon as I entered the waitress sat me before I could walk back out out of suspicion of no customers in cavernous restaurant. Ordered four plates for total of $16. Only ate 3 plates (I'm 6'4" male) partly due to taste and fear of dirty food. Expensive lunch for experience.

The worst food and service! Go to harbor city if you want some real good Chinese food.

I am a bit surprised this place is still open. Once upon a time the parking lot was full of cars and the line was down the street. I'm not sure what happened but the place has gone down hill. The dim sum here is just OK at best. Don't know if it was an off day or it was the normal fair. The pros is there is parking, but other than that, the owner seemed very nice and humble to have people coming into his restaurant to eat.

I would like to give negative stars. I have been a regular for three yrs always ordering the same thing. Today I was extra hungry and spent $40 i can't afford to get the wrong soda, dry rice, and the topper was the dry foam noodles that came in the Mongolian beef. When I called to discuss it she did not care and when I said your losing a faithful regular she also said good. Really? Not to mention the rude lady that answers the phone all the time and hangs up. Reason I kept going back is because the gentleman that owns it was nice but he doesn't care that his staff treats regulars like crap.

I would give this place 3 1/2 stars if you could to 1/2 stars. Came here with my guys for dim sum, and it was pretty decent. We had a variety of the dumplings and the fried ones were really greasy. The steamed dumplings were really good:) their chinese broccoli was really nice too.

    (3)
  • Ninja S.

I got some delivery from these guys and, while the meals look correctly constructed, it tastes like old oil dipped in plastic and drizzled with whiteboy corn flavor sauce. I thought that the pork and wonton soup was okay. I liked the bok choy in it. Sadly, it's not good enough to ever order again. The reviews of the weird bar in the back sounds like what's keeping the lights on.

    (2)
  • Alaina W.

Awwww Four Seas. I want to give you more stars. My family has been coming here for a good amount of years. It just occurred to me why-- we don't like to deal with crowds or wait too long. So we come here. It's never really busy. So we get our normals but they don't have a great selection of dim sum. The building needs a lot of sprucing/cleaning/remodeling. It's so dark and aged. *sigh*

    (3)
  • Laren B.

Yeah? Whats up with this place? It has an incredible amount of wasted potential. Those three stars are just for the food. Everything else was pretty awful. Ordering was actually a challenge. It was like one moment we were ghosts then the next minute they wouldn't leave us alone. It was a very confusing experience. I was in good company so the experience would have been much worse if I was with people I was less comfortable with. Go here as a last resort.

  • Becca K.

My kids and I ordered online. We got broccoli beef and sweet and sour pork. The broccoli beef was okay but the beef was scarce and didn't seem like beef. The pork was over cooked and rubbery and greasy. The delivery driver was also kind of rude. I ordered through GrubHub and he got snippy and said he put a menu in with my order so I can call it in next time and make it easier. Maybe he was unhappy with a 15% tip. After his attitude, he wasn't worth that much. I might give this place one more go. Every place has off days. I do like the convenience of ordering for delivery after a long work day, so they have that in their favor.

  • Reggie S.

My friend wanted me to write this review because he does not have a Yelp account. Today, his order of shrimp balls were raw. Luckily, he took a picture of it and posted it on his Instagram account. He said that he told his server and walked out of the restaurant. He also said their server did not apologize. This is very unfortunate.

Worst place in Seattle. Food was terrible, service was worse. Never coming here again it was so dirty and the food was literally the worst thing I could have had that day. Gave me watery poops for 4 days. TMI but it's the truth. DO NOT COME HERE!

    (1)
  • Jerry C.

Convenient free parking. But food is absolutely the worst in Seattle...maybe, even in the country! Poorly prepared, not even hot, plates and tables are sticky and questionably clean. And the men's room? I've traveled to many third world countries, and the Four Seas' restrooms is are as filthy as any. Yuk, yuk! The one star rating here is not fair...it deserves no stars, but it's the only way I could post this review.

I almost didn't come in because of the reviews. I had the Mongolian beef, honey walnut, and garlic chicken wings. The food here was just ok, I wouldn't want to come back tho

I used to eat here and enjoyed the Chinese Long Bean and Beef. Went there for lunch and it wasn't available because the beans were out of season! Disappointed, I ordered crab rangoon and bbq pork fried rice. The last time I checked, they are crab and cream cheese stuffed won tons. All I got was a plate with won ton shells and runny plum sauce. The rice was dry, the pork was chewy and tasteless. My lunch partner ordered a chicken dish and her veggies were not fresh but frozen stir fry ( at least it looked and tasted that way) Biggest waste of money and I felt yucky the rest of the day.

I have been to the Four Seas for Dim Sum several times, but not in years. The best thing I could say is that they still offer free parking in their lot. I was dismayed to see the facility is still very dark, and worse than the darkness it's badly in need of cleaning (grubby finger marks on the bathroom stalls, stains, dirty table top, carpet was filthy, front door is dirty, inside foyer is dirty, windows are dirty, ugh.) I mentioned to the server that the table was dirty and she didn't do anything about it, but perhaps there was a language barrier. The Dim Sum was mostly as I remembered, but about 1/3 of the dishes were overcooked and the price was considerably higher than I expected. Not a lot of flavor; kind of bland. I have to say I had some indigestion for 2 days afterwards. I don't think they use high quality ingredients and it makes me wonder what the heck I ate. Yuk! The overall dingy and dirty room was a real turnoff. I don't think I'll be back for awhile.

Every time my mom and I pass this place, we cringe. Our experience here was terrible! To begin, when we entered the restaurant there was no other customers in sight. That should have been a warning for us to leave immediately but for whatever reason we stayed. Upon being seated, we noticed that the plates and napkins were dusty. My fork felt sticky, like it hadn't been washed properly. The glasses of water were already filled. Sketchy much? The place was also dimly lit and had dark furniture, giving it a creepy atmosphere to eat in. When we were ready to order, there were two older Asian women as our servers and they seemed as if they didn't know how to make much of what was on the menu. One was quite pushy and insisted that we try the dim sum to start with. We ended up being served potstickers, wontons, shumai, and har gow, all of which are basic dim dum fare and delivered to us in under 5 minutes. They tasted old, chewy, and newly defrosted. Much of the food was left unfinished as we saw ourselves out after only about 20 minutes in this place. This whole experience reminded me of the movie Spirited Away and felt glad when we left the building. I guess this is what we get for not being patient enough to wait for a place at a busier dim sum place in the international district. Will not return.

This place was *really* gross. First came tea, in a filthy teapot. Then came egg rolls and crab rangoon that appeared cooked in old grease (it had that brown deep fry you get in old grease). The fried s/w/ fish was nasty, they took it off our bill, but basically told us we don't know what we are talking about since they thought it was awesome. It was gross. A couple other entrees were average/decent, but the place was so filthy we didn't eat much and ended up going to another restaurant for actual dinner. Use the restroom if you want a real treat. NOT!

DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT! There was a huge roach steamed and stuck to the bottom of the shrimp dumpling!

Ordered two bowls of soup on Eat24. They arrived in various states of spillage in the bag, completely soaking the container. The delivery guy did not offer to replace them with food that was edible, instead just offering credit for the next time. Sure. Next time, that's happening.

To summarize this review... Basically I was seriously harassed by the delivery man until I felt extremely unsafe, and the food was all undercooked so I had to throw it out. ... I just had the worst experience with this place. Trust me if you are a woman living on her own, do not order from this place. There was a small mix-up with my order on grubhub where the tip wasn't put on my credit card. The man who delivered the food to my apartment refused to leave until I gave him a tip with cash. I had no cash on me, so stood there, pretty threatening, until I searched through my laundry supplies and gave him a few dollars worth of quarters. I felt VERY UNSAFE. In addition, the food was terrible, and very very undercooked, and I had to throw nearly all of the food (except the steamed rice) out.

I work with a wide rang of Disabilities and outing are not always an easy task. We do the Wing Luke on family days once a month after which we enjoy Dim Sum. The staff at the Four Seas have been very accommodating, prices are great and the food is good. Hats off to Four Seas we Thank You

It's difficult to watch some people grow older, some do it gracefully, others not so much. If Four Seas was a person, it would be painful to watch and I'd consider pulling the plug. Bottom Line: Should get 1 star, but gave it 2 for sentimentality and very "ok" dim sum. Otherwise, my last dinner there was take out, $90, for: egg fu yung so dry, I couldn't tell if there was egg. almond chicken my children had trouble chewing and basically didn't eat mediocre hot and sour soup ok eggplant with shrimp bland fried rice slimy spicy chicken grey broccoli beef served with NO WHITE RICE. This is an "unforgivable" in my book. More info: Four Seas represents mid century Seattle Chinatown. It, along with the Hong Kong and Tai Tung, rounded out the triad in the 1950s, 60s, 70s for Seattle Chinatown dominance. As a kid, we came here for anniversaries, one month birthdays, wakes, etc...and it was only "ok" even then. I love old school. I enjoy it all: gourmet, authentic and 1950's Chinese food, so please believe me, I am biased to LIKE them and I will tell you if they hook you up. NO. No, they won't hook you up. It's devolved into a bar that has to serve food, and they have no pride in the food. Best local example of old school Chinese American food? Perry Ko on the East Side. If you want to reminisce and remember what restaurants looked like in the 60's, pop your head in. Have a drink, maybe, but don't eat here.

First of all let me say that the service was great. But besides the service, my family and I did not enjoy our food at all. We ordered a few dim sum items and they looked and tastes as if they had been sitting for awhile. I ordered the #2 which came with fried rice, BBQ pork almond chicken. I love BBQ pork, especially when it's crispy around the edges. The BBQ here was served cold and had a very strange taste to it that made me think it was frozen and then reheated. The chicken came soggy and most of the food had no flavor at all. I pretty much are the fried rice and that was it. Over all terrible food, and not fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The biggest red flag is that it was pretty much empty on a Saturday afternoon.

  • Laura T.

I like how they cook some of the dim sum in front of you, but they didn't have much of a variety. Maybe I went a little late, around 11:30 am, but they were out of a lot of things. It kind of suck. Food was okay. The dishes and utensils were sticky and not very clean. Service was also a little slow and I'm a pretty patient person.

  • Ray W.

Horrible garbage! I wouldn't feed this crap to a stray cat or dog! The appetizer plate was nothing more than breaded deep fried goo; one thing was indistinguishable from another in taste. The happy family dish was covered in a tasteless murky brown sauce and instead of the usual cooked pork, they used slices of cold BBQ pork (same as the appetizer). My wife ordered broccoli in garlic sauce; the latter was nothing more than heated soy sauce. The hot and sour soup had no taste at all. In addition, we ordered sweet and sour pork to go (before we got our meals) and it was yet more breaded goo with a watery sauce and three pieces of canned pineapple! Yelp, please change your rating system so I can give this toilet the zero stars it so richly deserves!!!!

Ugh, gross. Just got done throwing away most of my takeout from this place. The chow mein was served as a container of crispy/burnt noodles and then on the side there was a container of soupy brown sauce with meat/veg in it. I am 100% sure that is not right... I even googled around for images of "chow mein takeout" and nobody else serves it that way. It was too disgusting to finish. I also had the Chinese Broccoli with prawns and that was just as bad. Bitter when you bit into it, in that same weird soupy brown sauce that tasted like nothing. I just don't understand how this place is so, so bad and still in business. I feel queasy and annoyed I just spent $26 on that crap.

My manager at my old job ordered food for us from this place and it was awful. We found a spider and a piece of wire in our food. How does that even happen? Never go here. The alley behind their restaurant smells really bad and that is where their kitchen is located. This place is disgusting.

OMG! This place is HORRID!!! I had a lunch special with chow mein - and the noodles were BURNT! There was no moisture at ALL in the noodles - no sauce, nothing - dried out and tasted BURNED like when the popcorn burns in the microwave. Service??? Yeah - you can forget about that. It took 15 minutes just to get a menu. EVERYTHING on the dim sum cart looked old and overcooked, which is why I ordered from the menu instead. But the worst part are the ZILLIONS of rat traps ON THE CARPET along the walls - 10" wide "sticky mats" that I guess make the rat get stuck and die in place. Thank God none of them had a captive... but OMG - there must be 100 rat traps in the EATING AREA. SEE MY PHOTO TO SEE ONE OF THE RAT TRAPS NEXT TO EVERY TABLE!!!!!! Absolutely AWFUL place, with AWFUL food and I'll never set foot inside again. If only I could give it ZERO stars. Absolutely DISGUSTING DUMP of a restaurant. Please scroll to image 10 in the images to see one of the 10" RAT TRAPS that was on the carpet next to my table!!!! OMFG!!!!!! They're EVERYWHERE HERE!!! Dozens and dozens of them.... do they maybe trap the rats to make DIM SUM FROM THEM????

Place is almost empty but filled with activity since at least six servers, busers, dim sum runners were running around looking busy; even though there are only three tables of customers, all couples, us included. Forgo dim-sum. Their dim sum leaves much to be desired, you will mostly desire different choices of dim sum. Three choices, and one steamed. Pot stickers. Peking duck was ordered instead. And excellent choice. No mistake here. Meat was succulent, skin crispy, with just right layer of fat in between; served in a steamed bun with pieces of green onions. Last touch one needs to add is a smear of sweet, but at the same time real smoky BBQ sauce. Pricey at $16.00 for half, but I could never make it like this and if I wanted to try it would be much more expensive so totally worth it. Bill was about $50-ish including two drinks, vegetable side, and pot stickers. And now why one star...The server started yelling at me when she saw my bill. Asking me how dare I leave so little money on such a big bill! She had a thick Chinese accent that made a scene funny except she was visibly distraught and everything was sad, in a cheapo, plastic setting of a Chinese restaurant.... So if you decide to go here and are short on tip beware that you might and will be yelled at. It was not the most pleasant finish to the expensive meal. I am taking my business to the Green Leaf across the street. They have never yelled at me and I have eaten there many times.

This was described to me as the Baranof in the International District. Strong cheap drinks in a dark room. That's about it. Come here and drink some stiff drinks then walk around the ID feeling like you are all cool and stuff. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

Got there at lunch time, waited for some to come and take the orders, for about 10 minutes (although my friend and I were the ONLY customers) and then I walked out. That should tell you how it is.

I ordered take-out from Four Seas because it was the closest Chinese place that delivered late and holy-goddamned-hell I went to bed hungry because the food they delivered was downright inedible. The Kung Pao Chicken looked, felt, and tasted like something that had been exposed to excessive radiation. I took one bite and threw it all out and I am *NEVER* the type to waste food. It was just that bad. Do not eat here or let yourself be tempted by their convenient delivery option. I honestly don't even understand how a place like this can stay open. What they serve here should not even be considered food.

I should have paid more attention to yelp reviews before ordering from this place! In short, terrible service and disgusting food. Not a good combination. I got delivery, and the delivery guy was beyond rude. I got the impression he's the owner, but didn't get his name. I ended up having to throw out my whole order after a few bites because it tasted bland, looked toxic and smelled even worse. Plus, it was much more expensive than other local joints.

We were downtown on errands and couldn't find parking anywhere else. (1 star for free parking) My VERY conservative / bland food eating hubby found something to eat on each of the 2 carts and 1 tray (1 star) Read all of the other reviews for the numerous reasons to take stars away from this dim version of sum. OH... if you don't drink tea good luck getting a soda. Dear hubby tried and failed.

Bad food, bad service, NEVER going back there again. Thought we'd give it a try and just a bad experience all around. At 6p on a Saturday night we were the ONLY ones in the entire place, and still service was slow and just about as unfriendly as you could get. We would recommend just staying away.

I only sat in the bar here. The bar is very dark and has no windows. It's the perfect spot when you want to go in someplace when it's light out and come out when it's dark and never realize the sun went down. Their beer and wine selection is pretty limited. The bits of appetizers I stole off Dfen's plate was ok. Not the best thing I've had in my life, but it wasn't disgusting either. The waitress was really nice and not annoyed by serving a table of drunken table of yelpers.

I didn't get dim sum, so I can't speak to that (although it looked good!). I ordered veggie chow fun. They assured me it was vegetarian, and as far as I can tell, it was. And it was quite delicious. I would definitely go back, and I would probably just order the same thing again! And the decor was fabulous! A little past its prime, but it must have been spectacular in its heyday. LOVE all the wooden movable wall sections.

The fried rice actually tasted like fried rice, but the boo-boo lined shrimp is no bueno. The Mongolian Beef was okay, but it wasn't Mongolian Beef. The General Tao's Chicken was okay, but it wasn't General Tao's chicken. That is all.

Ick. Simply ick. Our extended family has had several events over the years...funerals and the like. I'm not sure how this location was originally decided upon (I suspect it was the private parking lot), but the quality of the food has taken a serious turn for the absolute worse. Word for the wise: don't order anything breaded and deep-fried. Not only is the breading tough and brittle, the oil in which these dry and flavorless little tidbits are fried is heavy and and, well, greasy. And they can't disguise this fact by floating it in a bunch of sauce or gravy. We had noodles. They were also flavorless and greasy. The highlight of the meal was the steamed rice. But let's face it...if a Chinese (or any Asian) restaurant can't do steamed rice they have no business being in business.

1 Star because I can't pick 0 Dirty, bad food, nasty, disgusting Worst egg flower soup; it was horrid- It tasted like they used instant egg flower soup broth, the carrots were raw, and the mushrooms were canned. The beef chow mein was frightfully uneatable- the beef was flavorless and the noodles were hard. We only had a few bites and did not take any of almost everything that was not eaten home. I wish I had read some reviews about this place before going.

This is my drinking hole on Thursday evenings because of the karaoke with Ericka and because Al is bartending. All-you-can-sing here unlike another nearby karaoke place and they have a larger song selection. The drinks are stiff but not the price. Lots of restaurant industry drinking here. Darts here too. They have free parking in their own lot. The honey garlic ribs are the bomb! Great for large events and meetings and they can move the walls for private parties. I've been to many fund raisers here.

***REVIEW FOR THE DYNASTY ROOM (BAR IN THE BACK)*** I wasn't expecting much the first time I came here with a friend, but was pleasantly surprised. Alan, the owner, greeted us all with a smile and promptly brought my friend his usual drink order, and suggested chicken wings or wontons. We tried both on different occasions, and both are really good, but seriously, ORDER THE CHICKEN WINGS. Oh my god, unexpected fabulousness. They've got a spice to them, but they aren't drenched in sauce like traditional American hot wings- instead the outside stays just a bit crispy, and on the inside the chicken is just well cooked, perfectly moist but not oily or dry. Now, when I crave chicken wings, I head here over any other place in Seattle. After just one or two visits, Alan knows my favorites, and both he and the bartenders are mindful to check in regularly so I never have to wait with an empty glass. Four stars because the atmosphere is a little dark for my taste and because I can't speak to the quality of the rest of the menu.

I can't speak for the food here, but as for as the Dynasty Lounge bar... off the hook. This little gem has cheap drinks with very healthy pours from really friendly bartenders. Karaoke here on the weekends is always a great time the host is a total riot. It's a nice change from the Morrissey marathons that have been taking over Bush Garden's karaoke as of late. I'm not tryna hate, but I'm just not in the mood to hear a drunk hipster massacring Every Day Is Like Sunday every night... Yes, the Dynasty Lounge is dark, but, you know, that's sort of how I like it.

Gotten takeout twice and I really liked it both times. I ordered vegetarian chow fun and vegetarian spring rolls. The dipping sauce for the spring rolls looked neon and fake so I didn't try it. But I thought the food itself was quite tasty.

Ambiance - D Food - B+ Service - A- Price - A Well, It's been years since I've walked into this place. I used to go in the early 90's when they advertised Hong Kong style dim-sum... it was great in the early 90's, but as the years went by, the quality went down ... greasy and small portions for the fillings. HOWEVER - I haven't gone in over 10 years and thought why not give them a chance again, and YES - they have FREE parking!... it's always good to go with a friend or more so one can order more varieties to share. It was weird, but this was a weekday, and we were the only customers at 11:30 in the main area - so we didn't have the regular cart service, but had the waitress bring around various items that were cooked freshly hot. I have to say I like being the only customer... ALL my dim sum was HOT, fresh tasting, and delicious! ... and if I also special ordered any dim sum and if they had it, they would bring it out fresh and hot! Also, there were dim sum with ground / pieces of chicken rather than the pork options - that was a nice option! Not quite sure what it'll be like when it's crowded on a typical weekend, but may give them a chance again another time. The bill came to around $22 total and we were overly stuffed! The place however is a little run down (outside signage broken / paint peeling, bathroom smelly...blech!) - thus the D- rating!

Went there for lunch on Sunday. There was a thirty minute wait on the better dim sum restaurants across the street, and so we decided to try this out. Despite having a parking lot, the place was near empty. Not a good sign. The dim sum wasn't very good and the selection was terrible. They only had two carts going around. The ingredients they used were mediocre and it tasted like they used really old oils to cook their food. Never going back.

Here's another old school chinese american restaurant. It's in the international district and definitely showing it's wear and tear. It's been around forever. Food is your basic cantonese chinese fare. I've never been for dim sum because there are lots of better choices for that in the same area. I will admit that they do have some good entrees for dinner. Their steamed salmon is really good and done just right. Other than that, it's nothing special and not some place I actually set out to go to. I've usually gone because of some family dinner that the older generation has set up. It does have the benefit of having a large dining room that can accomodate banquet style dinners.

No. There's a reason why I have not been here since the early 80's. The food is horrifically inedible with the service to match. Ok, so we all know not to expect W Hotel service at a Chinese place, (that makes me sad to say, b/c in HK/Taiwan you can get white glove service) anyway - this place tops it off as disgusting. Ready? 9 tables of people. $150/per table. Dishes: Tofu Soup Tofu with BBQ Pork Oyster Sauce with Chinese Broccoli Chicken with scallions/onions/ginger sauce Fish dish (not a whole fish, but one 10 inch by 2 inch SLICE) Buddha's Delight Dish (vegetarian dish) Sweet and Sour Pork Peking Duck Rice Every single dish was terrible. Except for the Chinese Broccoli. It was a joke! It was not I that was in charge of putting together this event, however, the food dishes ordered for the set table menu was appropriate for the occasion; but the chef seriously lacks even simple cooking skills. This restaurant is catered to the American crowd, and at that, fails. Service: I asked the wait staff, in Chinese, for red vinegar, to make the dishes somewhat edible. He proceeds to pour a tiny amount into a sauce cup for me. No - I want the entire bottle. He said there's only one bottle for the entire restaurant. B.S.? No idea, but this venue has not been updated since 1983. It's dark, dingy, dirty, and disgusting. Even my 5 year old nephew freeked when I took him into the restroom - anyone remember urinal troughs? WTF. Yes, there is parking in the lot, yes, it can seat a large party, function, yes, they serve Chinese food - but you've been warned. Disgusting. Out of 9 full banquet tables - I've never seen so much food left over. Ever. That explains a lot.

I've never had a full on meal here but my coworkers and I come here on occasion after work for drinks. Their bar definitely attracts an older crowd and its not crowded at all. Personally we prefer it that way so we don't have to yell at each other in order to have a conversation. Oh and I also am a fan of their twice fried chicken to munch on.

1 star because they deliver... not that I'll ever do it again. This restaurant has never met a dish that it didn't like with brown sauce. We ordered 4 or 5 dishes that sounded completely different on the menu, yet every dish had the same soupy brown sauce underneath. I was hoping that because they had tripe on the menu (not soo bad) that they might have something a bit better, but no. So sad. Never again, sir. Never again.

After fearing for my life at Joe's, Four Seas was a nice, calming, safe destination. I mean how can you really feel like your life could end at any second when there's a Jaguar in the parking lot and a friendly, blond haired bar tender wearing designer clothes and a table of hipsters (eh, I guess the hipsters are scary)? Their Dynasty Room (cavelike bar) was dark and quiet and was nice and chilly with a blast of a/c. The bartender/our server was friendly during the duration of our stay and was quick to take orders and bring out drinks. I started off with a Double Blueberry Vodka and Sprite.... and pretty much stuck with those. Tip: their "doubles" cost twice the amount (clearly) but are pretty much the strength of a regular drink. Fail. I guess I'm just supporting the economy by paying extra for drinks..... The food that was ordered was all A-Ok. Dan was kind enough to order some appetizers that I snacked on. There were plain, fried wings which were probably my favorite and plenty of BBQ Pork. The Egg Rolls had some.... interesting filling. The "chips" were light and crispy, but sort of had very little taste. Interesting nonetheless. All in all it was a fun time at Four Seas. Feel free to drop by if you're in the hood and want a strong drink.... just don't bother with doubles.... a regular will have a sufficient amount in it =)

so I stopped in the ID on the way home from a movie last night, only to find my favorite noodle place (Szechuan Noodle Bowl, right across the street) was closed on Mondays. I was heartbroken - had been jonesing for some of their crazy amazing handmade dumplings. I quickly decided that I'd give Four Seas a try; I figured I should try something new, as I tend to get stuck in a rut when it comes to food. I should've gone to Green Leaf. I was the only person in the dining room - the rest of the people were in the bar, though I don't know how many were actually there. the host/waiter was somewhat surly and not sympathetic when I told him the fried wontons weren't what I expected. they'd basically taken wonton wrappers, tossed them in the fryer, and piled them on a plate with sweet and sour sauce. now, to me, wontons are stuffed with some kind of meat filling, folded up (I've seen a few different ways) and fried. I guess I should've been leery of the $5 price tag. host/waiter guy eventually agreed to give them to me half off. still not overly pleased, but ok. for the entree, I'd ordered cashew chicken - a staple of mine that I've ordered in more than one city by now. I wouldn't say that I'm an expert, but I know good cashew chicken when I eat it. this wasn't it. it was advertised as having a 'tangy chef's sauce'. whatever the sauce was, it wasn't tangy.. it mingled with the leftover soy sauce on my plate and I honestly couldn't taste the difference.. usually, soy and cashew chicken sauce don't mix well. this review would've been three stars, if not for the exchange I witnessed towards the end of my meal. a man had come in with his young son (toddler, 3 years old maybe) and had ordered something to go. he sat down and was obviously waiting for his food.. the waiter huffed a bit about giving the kid water, and then when his father asked for a fortune cookie for him, said waiter huffed a bit more and said they were in the bag (the takeout order had arrived); now, to me, running to the back to get a fortune cookie will probably make that kid's day, and I wouldn't have given it a second thought. it's not as if the dining room was busy! I definitely should've gone to Green Leaf or House of Hong, or called up my friends and said, HEY! I'm at 8th and Jackson, where should I go for dinner?

I came here the other night for dinner with me madre because every other place either one; had no parking or two; had no room. I think this place was not the best investment of our time and money and here's why... The place looks a little run down, I don't think they've done much to remodel/update the place other than the bar and it shows. Some of the ceiling tiles had mildew stains, probably from exposure to some leaks in the roof or something. I did like the Asian styling of the wooden sliding doors and some of the art work but otherwise the restaurant itself was not all too pleasing to the eye. The service was unspectacular, although it was a bit speedy they didn't really try to put on a smile nor were they very enthusiastic. Finally, the prices and quality of the food... We ordered stir-fried eggplant and chicken fried rice with salty fish. The servings were pretty good, about standard for a Chinese restaurant, but the taste was frankly very blah. Now what I mean by that is that it neither wowed nor did it underwhelm. If anything the rice was a little too salty and the egg plant a little too sweet. Also, the food looked like it had been scooped out of a tray and just slapped onto the plate, there obviously wasn't a lot of thought put into presentation. In the end though I guess my mom and I got what we came for. They had plenty of parking, small wait times and quick service but I think that is all due to the fact that their shoddy food doesn't do anything to draw customers. A very meh experience indeed!

Came here to have soda during Wing Luke's Jamfest. I can't comment on the food, but I sure can about the service. TERRIBLE service, bad attitude towards me and my friend. Absolutely embarassing. To add insult to injury, she was really nice to the white people around me. You know what we call these types of people? Chinese DOGS. Yes. I said it. I hate service people who are mean to their own peeps and are only nice to white people. BTW, even the soda sucks. Turn up the CO2 can, idiot.

Sadly we had to go here for Dim Sum due to other places being so crowded on Father Day plus I had my baby with me. 1 star is for the parking, yes they have their own 2 star: food was ok Here is the negative, there was this lady walking around asking for potsickers. So I ordered one and she stamped my ticket and walks away..WTF!. Basically she started to fry it and the oily smell was all over the place. Anyways after 10 mins our potsickers was ready and fried on all direction. (WTF, I thought postickers was supposed to be fry at the bottom) Anyways my clothes reek the smell of grease for the entire day! Even the trip to the Mall to use the Cologne could not help.

Had lunch here, the restaurant was empty yet our food took well over 20 minutes to be served. Ordered a plate lunch, and was disappointed. The sweet and sour chicken was over cooked. The chow mein was under seasoned and the fried rice was average. If you happen to be in Chinatown for lunch - I would recommend you go elsewhere.

This place is a dump. We should have heeded the warning sign of an almost empty parking lot in the middle of dimsum rush madness in the ID. But, the overwhelming need to find someplace to park and our maddening hunger drove us right in. Never again. Dirty dishes. Not like, dirty dishes after people have eaten a satisfying meal. Dirty dishes on a half-assed wiped down table that was presented to us as our torture table for the next hour. Two of the four glasses had lipstick stains on them. One fork had a rice grain stuck in it, another had some residue of something on the handle. When we asked for chopsticks we were given the evil eye, but eventually received them after 3 dimsum carts had already gone by. The food was mediocre at best. Can't even really remember what we ate because I was in fill up mode and just wanted to get the hell out of there. Why does the place smell like smoking is still allowed in the bar? Why did I have to pee so badly? I could have avoided seeing the horrific sight of their women's bathroom. Traumatized. The woman running the cash register was gruff and gave me a good old-fashioned FU glare when I let her know the bathroom was dirty. A younger guy (son? owner? book-keeper?) standing post at the door all bouncer-like chimed in with a real attitude: "It gets busy in here, we don't always get to the bathrooms. Are you here just for the bathroom?". WTF? I know it's hard to hold down all of 3 or 4 full tables during your midday "rush", but can't one of the 7 people working the floor check in on it once in awhile? Now that I think about it, how does a bathroom get so dirty when the place is so empty? I can only conclude that it NEVER gets cleaned. So tempted to call the health department on them. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here.

Ahhh..... back in the day when Wilbur Chin and his family ran the place, this was THE place to go. Even the local Japanese community would flock here for special events, weddings and family dinners. I actually have a picture of my extended family eating here back in the late 60's. But alias times change as do owners and flavors. Dim sum here is the standard affair, it has its up and downs, more often than not, it's solid. A few "new-ish" Hong Kong-style dishes are tossed in with the dim sum standards. Enjoyable because they have their own "free" parking lot, and in the ID that's saying a lot! I haven't eaten here for dinner in many moon's so I'll forgo those comments. Service-wise, during lunch, you might have to ask for more tea and water, and napkins, and a clean dish, and, well you get the idea.

I've ordered delivery many times and always enjoyed the dishes. Owner very nice and he is the one usually delivering. My fav dish is the Chicken w/Black Bean sauce. I would just order a quart of sauce and drink it down, it's that good. Egg Rolls are HUGE and not bad. The Sizzling Rice soup is very good, lot's of flavor. Mongolian Beef & the Four Seas Fried Rice also very good choices

If this dim sum place were a person, it'd just be some plain Mary Jane. The dim sum is average, but when you come hungry, anything works. I gave it two stars because the explanation of the rating says it all, "Meh. I've experienced better." The siu mai was a little dry and not as steamy. The chicken feet was average, but I would still eat it. Shrimp dumplings tasted like typical shrimp dumplings. I'm really sad that they're steamed BBQ pork buns is more bun than meat though! Is that how people usually make them or have I just been spoiled by eating buns with more meat?! But - the one thing I do appreciate is their sesame balls with the red paste inside. They are crispy on the outside, and super chewy in the inside! But that's because I love sesame balls! I've only gone here during lunch hour in the work week. I've gone with my co-worker several times to this place over other dim sum places because this place has their own parking, which is nice because if you were to try to eat anywhere else at this hour, you'd either have to pay for parking or fight for street parking which you would still have to pay for. If it weren't for the parking and our limited time to eat, I might have suggested a place like Honey Court instead.

We went on a Monday night (not for normal dim sum) and like others should have heeded an empty parking lot. In fact, many were in the bar, but at first we were the only ones in the restaurant. The benefit of this location is free parking. But for me, that's where the benefits ended. It is a clean restaurant with the traditional Chinese decor - plants and Asian prints. We asked the waiter where all his customers were. He said it was after the holidays and they were "recovering." I think they just chose better eats. The waiter recommended the Oyster Beef. We also chose the cashew chicken because it was in the "specialties" section. To his credit, the beef was tender and fairly flavorful. But nothing that would compel me to return. On the other hand, the cashew chicken was just weird. I like my cashew chicken with a slight honey glaze to it. This dish tasted more like ketchup had been mixed in with it. Visually it was a downer, and the taste buds concurred. Too many other good places in China Town. This is my first and last visit to the Four Seas.

This was the most boring dimsum I've ever had. Everything was shrimp! I felt like Bubba (from Forrest Gump..) ran the dimsum menu. Also, the silverware, plates and cups were pretty dirty so I had to wipe everything. I couldve asked for a new set, but it probaby would've been dirty too. The price was really good since I split the check with my friend, but I walked away quite unsatisfied. I've never given a restaurant a one star rating until now... :(

bad bad service, went there after peak hour n should have just left the place, they served food that was sitting around for hours when it should be cook to order. On top of that they charged extra just to try to screw us over. Never dine here again...

Dim sum was delicious. They had an event going on next door so the carts weren't ready when we arrived (10:30 am) but there were 3 or 4 to serve the 8 or so tables later on. They had forks on the tables and there weren't many people there, which made me suspicious, and the service was great, which also made me suspicious because I expect rushed poor service for dim sum, but the food was really good.

Little choice in Dim Sum, food not great at all. One of the slowest service. After the first serving of Dim-Sum, had to wait for 25 min. Despite seveal requests, food was not served to ours and "certain tables". But was served to other tables. I strongly suspect racial bias. Will NOT GO AGAIN.

I've tried a few dishes here, the orange chicken and fried rice aren't bad, it's you typical greasy Chinese restaurant, though I've yet to try their dim sum maybe one day I will and than I can update my review. Now the Dynasty Room I've been to a few times. I'd seen the name Dynasty Room while driving by and really wanted to check it out for the name alone and well I have a few times. And the best way to describe the Dynasty Room is to say it's the Nite Lite of Chinatown minus Sandy and less lighting. The last time I was in there, there was a man flirting with some ladies at the bar, completely drunk, slurring his words, talking about how he had to drive home and the bartender went and made him one more drink. That's the kind of place this is. The drinks are strong and they are cheap and I'm sure the wells are much cheaper than the stuff I was calling. If you want to get drunk for cheap while eating greasy Chinese food this is the place for you.

Years ago the food was a lot better, but now it's pretty disappointing. I went there today for the first time in a long time and wasn't impressed - the Hot Pepper Chicken wasn't very flavorful or spicy, and this is one of their specialty plates. And even though they put it on a hot plate and grilled it a bit in front of me it still wasn't very hot temperature wise. Service was pretty slow and the restaurant was nearly empty.....Dim-Sum was decent but I wouldn't return there anytime soon for it. This place just isn't what it used to be...

The plus side of this side for dim sum: there's a parking lot!!! The down side: the selection is limited compared to other places in Chinatown. Immediate gratification from the couple of carts going around, and the food from the pan fried cart is really good. We frequent the bar often, and usually order the same things: "guy may" (phonetic) chicken. It's a deep fried (without batter) half a chicken, and then comes with a spicy, gingery, chili-like hot oil sauce that you pour over the whole thing; house special chow mein; garlic fried spareribs, garlic or twice-cooked chicken wings. I'm not sure what Chinese folks do to their spareribs, but they are not your normal riblet. You gotta put the whole thing in your mouth, chew all the meat, then spit out the bone. Nice.

Huh..Reading these other reviews I'm half expecting a note from Ron in about 30 seconds to tell me I just reviewed the wrong damn place. I know I was not *that* intoxicated when we arrived, but I did not have the same impression..and I could not smell the bathrooms from the door. But i hear the men's room has a trough though! It is definitely flashing the signs of having been there since the dawn of time...or at least the noon of time. We went directly to the bar, aka Dynasty Room, aka The Bat Cave. It's pretty dark in there, but with my face about an inch from the menu while squinting I could read it ok. At some point I either need a yelp notebook, or need to pay more attention because i can't remember what i drank there. Raspberry/cranberry somethingorother. I want to say Stoli...but..it was (a) alcoholic, (b) palatable, and (c) pretty decently priced..why do I need to know more than that anyway? The service was kinda slow, but it was pretty hopping in there with groups and pairs of obvious regulars. The bartender lady had a really sweet boob job. Lovely teardrops. You don't see that often in boob jobs. So if you are in the market, figure out where she got hers done. She also managed to keep our groups drinks and food separate, major kudos to her on that. Onto the food! At the table were some vegetarian chow-thingamajiggery, orange chicken, pot stickers, pork fried rice and chow mien (i think pork too?). Everything was greasy, in the good "all shiny" kind of way. The pot stickers were the size of baseballs, I swear. HUGE. Not the best I've had, not even in the top 10 really, but good nonetheless. The orange chicken was amazing. Some of the best I've ever had. It's not a 'signature' dish of mine, just a casual favorite. Sooo tasty here. The chow mien was meh. Not horrid, it was edible, but nothing wow about it either. I didn't try the fried rice, but the reports were that it was very good, and it handled well...it lasted in the hoodie pocket of a yelper for another hour after we left. Definitely a place I'd hit up again during a night of meandering for fun and drink in the area. (and no i'm not at home...technicalities betches!)

Average dim sum but great parking. We didn't mean to eat here. We were actually going to go somewhere else for dim sum but couldn't find parking. We found parking here and debated trying somewhere new or going to the default dim sum place. We decided to eat here. The restaurant has an old Chinese restaurant feel. Sort of like you are eating in a big ballroom. The service was alright. We weren't bombarded as soon as we sat. But after one pass around, they sort of let us hang with empty plates and wanting more food. What did stand out was the dim sum that they pan fry for you. I was impressed with that. It was the tastiest of all their choices. While it didn't blow me away, I wouldn't say no to eating here. But there is better dim sum in the ID.

This is the best place in Chinatown hands down. This is where you want to have a party. This is the place you want to drink and sing karaoke. Not bad. Not amazing, but not as awful as others make it sound. The main reason I have no problem with it is we sat in their bar, The Dynasty Room. I had a Long Island that was pretty, pretttaaayy, prettttaaayyyyy strong (to quote Larry David). If I had I eaten in the restaurant I may have been disappointed, but this, in my mind, was bar food. Salty, unhealthy, fattening, tasty bar food. I ate there with five other Yelpers. They brought out plates so we could all try each other's food if we liked. The wontons I ordered were very filling and good. The orange chicken, which Riss waited forever for, was likely sprinkled with a heaping helping of meth. It was just that deliciously addictive. On a whole, the food around the table was satisfying but not the best ever (with the exception of the meth chicken). The reason this place gets four stars instead of three? We played the 'In bed' game where you add the phrase 'in bed' to the end of your fortune. Here is the fortune that was in my cookie: "You will soon be involved in many gatherings, parties and communications."

Most of the dim sum is fine, but a few things were really good. Most notable were the turnip cakes, which they fry on the cart (they fry a few other items on the cart too). Overall, the selection is a bit smaller than most other dim sum restaurants and the service a bit slower, but it's a fine place to eat.

I saw a mouse running around while eating in the restaurant, and that basically did it for me.

CATERING REVIEW ONLY: Since we had our wedding at the Smith Tower, we were only allowed to choose caterers from a select list. We tried several of the caterers at various open houses, but ended up choosing Four Seas because the price and quality of the food. Their food isn't mind blowing, but neither were the other caterers (except Lisa Dupar Catering). But their menu pricing is very affordable and we got the best bang for our buck here. Al Quan, owner and catering master, is very easy going and will never try to nickle and dime you with details. Most the stuff, he just threw in there without extra charge (color napkins, wine glass, etc). Other caterers we received quotes from charged for every napkin (more $ for color), stemware, flatware...and some even for ice! Al was great to work with and listened to our concerns and expectations. He more than took care of the catering aspect of our event and we were worry-free on our wedding day.

I love coming to the Four Seas. It has never been crowded but the food has always been good. I have received great service whether I was eating in or taking carry out. I've been there with three different employees taking care of me--the young woman and the middle age man were certainly the most friendly and helpful, but even the older woman was nice enough. The parking lot is also a big perk, especially when street parking can be such a challenge.

I order delivery from here on occasion, but have never had a sit down meal. The owner and his family are always very nice and helpful. The food can be hit and miss. The chow mien and pot stickers are so so, but the egg roll is orgasmic. And the fried rice has a nice smokiness to it. Overall it's pretty darn decent westernized Chinese food. I do have to admit though, that the reports of mice and rats in the restaurant is seriously off-putting...

They deliver! I've never been to the restaurant proper, and it sounds like I should be glad of that. I was craving craving craving Chinese food one day when I was home sick with a cold. I live in the Seward Park area, and I didn't want to leave my cave to get it. I looked up 'seattle chinese food delivery' and Four Seas came up. I saw some not-so-great reviews, but they delivered to my area (for $10) and I was desperate. I ordered pot stickers (pretty flavorless and no pot-sticker sauce), mu shu pork (way way too much cabbage, really tough pork, not much flavor and the 'plum sauce' was weird) and special chow mein (again, flavorless and greasy). I've never thrown away so many Chinese food leftovers. Sad. The only reason I may order from four seas again is if I am desperate for Chinese food again and feeling optimistic that something I haven't tried yet is acceptable.

The dirtiest restrooms in all of Tijuana! Oh, wait this is Seattle. I should have been worried. Lunchtime on a weekend parking in the ID is normally ridiculous, but the parking lot was nearly empty (Bad Sign #1). When I walked into the place you can smell the pungent aromatic toilets (Bad Sign #2). There's no Asian people in a ID Dim Sum restaurant (Bad Sign #3)! There's no chopsticks on the table only forks (Bad Sign #4) The Dim Sum cart with the HaGow, ShuiMai etc. were on a unheated rolling prep table and it was (of course) completely cold. When I asked if it was hot, the waitress asked "You want Hot Food?" in complete amazement. When the waitress would come by with dishes on a handheld tray, she used the empty space on her tray to bus the table next to us (Bad Sign #... I lost count). Haha... I realized I haven't even mentioned how the food tasted! Well, I felt like I was eating Dim Sum in Iowa at some run down Chinese-American small town restaurant. So bland, zero taste... the chicken feet were old and mushy too. The dumplings all tasted like someone stole the leftover meatballs from Olive Garden and stuck a wonton wrapper on them. All in all a disgusting experience. Honestly, I think McDonald's serves better Chinese food. Pros: Ample Parking No Crowds Didn't Die from Food Poisoning Cons: Everything else

Not going to waste my time with a long review. I found one particular staff member very rude, I think he was a manager, when I was leaving the restaurant I saw him yelling at a customer about not parking in his lot, and yelled "Stupid" at the customer. Also, I felt the inside of the restaurant itself not very clean. Not recommened.

The 4 C's of the Four Seas: Crappy Costly Cheesy Cliche This place sucked. Granted, I've only been here one time, but I think that's one time too many. The potstickers were deep fried (not steamed) and served with a horrible chili oil. The rice was a really, really sticky big blob. (Luckily, it was only a buck). The General Tsao's chicken was the WORST I've ever had in my life. I NEVER send back food, but almost had to here. Instead I just asked for some Sweet & Sour sauce to try to make the bland chicken palatable. Besides a banquet in the back we were the only ones in the restaurant. The bar looked pretty busy though. They must have strong/cheap drinks...? If you're in the International District there's no reason to come here with so many other better places around. 2 stars because the server was super nice and the chow mein was decent.

I wanted to like this place, but only because they had parking out front. Stupid reason I know. Took a friend here for his birthday lunch, he picked the place. Fairly empty, a dozen other patrons, none of them Chinese. I took that as a bad sign. Got 6 or 7 blah dishes for about $25. The two stars come from the parking space and the table side fried turnip cake. I love turnip cake and their's was not too shabby.

Eh, this place kind of sucks to go to for Dim Sum if you're a vegetarian. What food I did get was too greasy and not all that good. My brother really liked the things he got...unfortunately they were full of meat and I really didn't think that they looked all that good. There are much better places within a block of this place...we probably should have walked around some more. That's what we get for not checking Yelp first!

It's OK. The dim sum is pretty average if a bit oily from time to time. We eat here a lot though, because I can't be bothered to wait in line or find parking in the ID on weekend mornings. This place is by no means a great dim sum place (go to BC for one of those), but it's a familiar and reliable friend to the impatient empty belly. It's a pretty good place for first timers as most of what they serve is the standard stuff. It's also fairly quiet for the most part. The staff are nice-ish in that ID way. Gotta watch your water glass, though. Mine was filthy last time and when I asked for a new glass, the waitress looked puzzled and grabbed an equally dirty glass from a nearby table and left my old one there. Ah well. A funny little side note... there's this weird rhino lightswitch cover on the outside wall closest to the front door. Really weird. What were they covering? Funny little rhino...

Excellent dim sum. The best pork shumai ever. Service could have been a little more attentive but we did get there after the lunch rush had died down. The prices were very reasonable and did I mention the food was great. We had 1 order each of spareribs, shumai, pork buns, sticky rice, gelatinous rice dumplings (this are my new favorite thing) and shrimp and chive fried dumpling. The total was just over $21.
