The service is inconsistent but the food is delish, especially the calzones. There baked spaghetti is also very tasty. Sit upstairs on the deck if the weather is nice and you'll enjoy an amazing view of the Sound & the Olympics.

The "Cheers" of restaurants! Christo's is family run, and it has that feel. It's that warm and fuzzy neighborhood joint down the street Staff is friendly, and yes, even caring. Refreshing to find a place that cares about you more than your dollars. I was in town for a volleyball tournament at Alki Beach, so a group of headed to Christos for some pizza. At first, I was a bit put off by the price (as I recall $27 for a large), but when it arrived, I quickly forgot all about my cost concerns; the pizza crust was light and flaky, the cheese was perfectly melted into a uniform layer. I was in a relatively large group of six, and it was all I could do not to devour the entire thing and alienate my grubmates. The next day a friend of mine wanted to head there again after a long active day, and I selected the Basil Pesto Cheese Tortellini. Every once in a while you have total synergy within a meal, where you order the perfect meal for the perfect occasion, this was it! The basil pesto sauce was rich and hearty, the tortellini soft and tasty. And despite their generous portions and side salad, were there leftovers? Nope, it all went home in my belly. One of the most memorable meals I've had in a while. Postscript: as it turns out, I was so absorbed in my meal that I forgot my monopod at the restaurant. Staff was nice enough to box and wrap it up securely and ship it back to me. Love Christo's! You can bet I'll be back!!

Great service. A bit cold out on the roof top patio seating though. (BYOB bring your own blanket) But otherwise, lovely people. For some reason, the pizza crust just blew me out of the water. I really liked how crisp and puffy it was. Or maybe this was just normal pizza and I've had bad pizza my whole life. Who knows. Other than that, the pita trio was delicious. All the dips were savory masterpieces. Definitely a must try!

GREAT food, GREAT customer service, and GREAT location!!! The only shortcoming this place has is the parking. Because of the way the entire area was developed, parking can be scarce for all everything.

I've been here a few times, both times left satisfied & pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was! Last night a friend and I decided on Christo's and had a tough time deciding what to order. With a few recommendations from our AWESOME sever we split clams, cheesy garlic bread and baked spaghetti. I don't normally eat Italian when I go out (too heavy) but this was so so good! Tastes like they homemake their own sauce which makes a huge difference! Bak d spaghetti portion is giant- it was a lot for 2. Clams were great- just enough butter! The thing that made the meal was our phenomenal was our server. She was attentive, friendly and quick. Best service I've received in a while!! Wish I would've gotten her name. Cheers to Christo's, can't wait to come back!!

Christo's is super good! Crab dip appetizer is OFF the CHAIN! Parking can be rough when the weather is good, because it's right on the beach. But if you can get a table with a view (especially on their upstairs patio with lovely weather), it's just lovely! Great pizza, awesome gyro, delightful Greek salad! The servers are very friendly and we always have great time here!

This is a family place so please don't expect super fast service. They treat you well and are friendly. Go with the basic breakfast fixings. The Eggs Benedict was colorless and flavorless. I rarely use salt and pepper on my food and my wrist was loose this morning. On the plus side eggs were pouched perfectly. My breakfast companion's omelet was flavorful and cooked perfectly.

The food- whether it's Sunday brunch or dinner with the fam- is amazing! It has great music and great vibes. The family is very friendly and welcoming. Love coming here! Recommend: Country fried steak Mimosa with fresh squeezed oj Princess special* blueberry Stoli, muddled lemon, raspeberry liquor, and lemonade- absolute deliciousness!!

It's okay food. Nice location. Various spots withing the restaurant to sit (an upstairs as well). Service: meh. No strawberries offered for my french toast today, and the waiter was rather flippant when I asked about it. When our daughter noticed there was a 'side' of fruit on the menu, he said "not available", he offered now reason as to why the restaurant had no fruit altogether- we had to ASK. It was awkward & frankly he acted like he really didn't want to be working AM shift day after 4th of July. The restaurant had minimal customers and hey, hop on the Java dude, geez.

Been here a couple times now, and it's been consistently delicious with great service. We've ordered pizza and salads, both great. We do the gluten-free crust and it's been delicious. It's a thin-crust style, and only comes in size small. Very happy with this place.

  • Herman K.

It was very loud inside so we had to change tables. They were doing fine until what I assume was the owner of the place came. Clearly he lacked essential social skills. Pizza so so. Not friendly place for families. I do not feel the need to come back there again.

Stopped in after an afternoon on Alki. Great service, sat on upper deck patio. Strongly recommend Petros special pizza...delicious. Topped it off with baklava for desert. Great place to bring family and kids. One of the rare family establishments in West Seattle, excellent atmosphere.

This place is AWESOME!!!! The food is good but its the staff that makes this place shine! You're immediately treated like family, snark and all. Every person who works there makes you feel like you're Norm from Cheers. They're funny, engaging and warm and downright hilarious. Keep a quick wit about you, you'll need it. I've never laughed so hard during a meal that didn't involve my brother and I trading barbs! This is my new go to watering hole and I can't wait for the next time I go!

Saturday afternoon. ..came in from the heat. Ordered the best calamari and the Greek Special pizza...delicious! Service somewhat slow but it's a packed house today. .so understandable. Would come again!

Love LOVE their chicken pesto pizza! It's delicious. This is a great family owned restaurant and servers are always pretty cool. They make you feel very welcome. The location on Alki is great.

Wait 30 minutes before someone took our drink order and the people who got seated after us got taken care of. Someone noticed we hadn't been waited on and we still waited 10 minutes. Then they took forever to refill our waters. The pizza was good but not enough to change my mind on the crappy service.

  • Salenna G.

The service was horrible. We were seated and for the first 30 minutes no one came to our table except to fill up water glasses. Then two tables sat between 20 and 30 minutes after us were both serviced before us. Needless to say we won't be back... The pizza was okay though.

One of the best family restaurants in Seattle!! Right on the beach with great views from every seat including a 2nd floor upper deck! You will instantly get greeted by MaMa (the owner) with a warm smile. The SERVICE and FOOD are top notch. We had the Greek sampler to start along with a Greek salad followed by one of there famous pizza in the Petros Special. A nice cozy place with a "cheers" like bar. It's always great to support great family restaurants as they hard to come by. Definitely coming back! Don't miss this gem of a place!

  • Paul T.

Great family owned business! Spectacular pizza along with great Greek dishes. I highly recommend a mommas Greek salad with a Petros Special pizza! Right on the beach with a view from every seat. One of the very few places to offer 2nd deck seating over looking the Puget sound! Check this place out!

This place is such a great neighborhood place, grab some pizza salad and a beer or a quick happy hour. Service is great, they're family oriented and just cool wheather you sit at the bar ( good bloodys mary with breakfast) or to hang out during sunset . Great TVs for those crucial games. Servers are so friendly.

I had such a great time this last Sunday at this family restaurant. I go there for their moist drinks. Yawnee poured me the moistest Mai Tai I have ever had. It was exquisite.

Love coming to this place that's off alki. Some of the best made food on the beach. The chicken ceaser salad is always freshly made and super good. Pizza is some of the best and the lamb gyro is delicious. The atmosphere is great and very friendly people in general at the bar. I make it out once a week to enjoy the great vibes.

  • Steve P.

Strangest restaurant experience. I was holding hands with my girl friend and the owner asked us to stop holding hands claiming we were offending the older customers. When I questioned her judgement her son asked us to leave. This family is from Greece and I don't think the Greek culture has an issue with holding hands in public. Regardless, we won't be back but we will always have this strange story to share with our friends.

Fantastic staff.. They really make you feel like family. Great food, get the Petros Special pizza. Just do it. It's easily my fav bar on the beach, if not in the city..

  • Katelyn H.

I would not recommend going here. We went for a family dinner and were promised great food that was greatly disappointing. If your going to eat anything just get pizza or the calzones. It was extremely over priced for what you were getting which seemed to be mainly frozen things or from a can. "Homemade" and made "fresh" is probably not the way I would describe it.

  • Sara F.

I have a friend that goes here exclusively for the cheese bread. She'll even get it to go if she's on the run. Get it as an app! Plus my guy says this is his "new favorite place". It's very relaxed -- a homey/family atmosphere, with plenty of TVs for sports, a comfortable bar, nice patio. I love Christo's. Their menu has the perfect combo of Greek and American choices to please the masses.. plus that Alki Beach view! But back to the food??... PIZZA: BOMB!! SOOO GOOD. Thick & crispy crust, best Italian sausage I've ever had.. Small is big enough to share for 2. SUBS: BOMB! MARGARITAS: BOMB! ($5 cocktails on happy hour 3-6 daily!) FRIES: You get the picture... The only thing I think they could improve on is the interior decorating. It's a little dark and old-fashioned for beachside -- more windows and a lighter color scheme would help. The food, patio and people? Yes!

The location of this place is great, but the food was less than average... We felt like eating breakfast and it was 2pm, so the waitress sold us on the breakfast with a window booth (wide open garage door style window). I had the Monte Cristo Breakfast Sandwich that was tasty, but a little small for $11. It came with a tiny side of Hash browns that you could eat with 3 bites. My wife has an omlet that seemed average, nor did she mention a single word about it. My kids split a kids French toast plate ($5) and split a side of bacon ($4). The bacon was very good, but we should've just gotten two kids breakfasts (blame the waitress) for the price. The kids plate came with a scrambled egg that look very good, but they didn't taste like anything (fail on the scramble). To top things off, the PIZZA looked REALLY GOOD (shoud've gotten that). There was a loud dog barking that was tied up next to the entrance, then the owner arrived from a provisions run (who was honking his horn to let his people know that he needed help carrying in a truck load of food). The owner had problems parallel parking, so we watched that spectacle for 10 minutes (uggg). Talk about DISTRACTIONS!!!! Other than the great location, I will not be going back here and I regret not going to get the Taco's at El Chupacabra's the next block down. C-

We had high hopes of finding a regular brunch spot in walking distance of the apartment which were stoked by the reviews read here. However, we've been spoiled by the likes of Jak's Grill, Circa and Maltby's Cafe... which definitely leads me to the conclusion that the search for proper brunch should always start close to home lest it suffer by comparison to fare in more distance or exotic realms! There's no grounds for argument that the location isn't fantastic! Prime boardwalk and waterfront views. The host was very friendly as was the waitress. I ordered the feta and spinach special with hash browns and dry wheat toast. My partner had eggs benedict. Although the portions are generous, everything was just OK. I posted some pics. Probably the most solid choice for brunch / breakfast on Alki. We'll be back to try a calzone, but I'd advise elsewhere if you want to get a memorable egg dish.

On vacation at Alki Beach and decided to try this place. Run by a super nice older Greek couple. Very friendly place with great service. We had a big family dinner and tried a variety of dishes. Among the appetizers, I enjoyed their steamed clams the best; simple dish but well done. For an entree , I ended up trying the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Pasta was cooked just past al dente, and the sauce was really rich and delicious. They add lots of cheese to the cream sauce. So if you like that version, it's your ticket. Garlic bread was pretty good too. Great atmosphere and friendly staff service makes this a good place to give a try.

great place to relax and enjoy drinks with friends and fam! phenomenal food and the family is great! they really make you feel at home I always get the chicken souvlaki with a Greek salad or the scallops! all are delicious!!!! highly recommended for a more laid back, local feel of Alki instead of the yuckie chain restaurants nearby

Kudos to the family atmosphere. Great place to bring kids & owners are super cool about letting them wander. Come back a few times and you are like family. Summer time is awesome with roll up garage doors. Typical Greek / Italian fare. Great weekend hangover type breakfasts. Nice family owned joint. You will embrace the quirkiness.

Great fun restaurant. They are at a good location on Alki, so you are sure to get a good view of the beach. The atmosphere is nice along with some TV's showing the local game. Family atmosphere- but they also have a bar area. The menu is good, but we really came for their good happy hour. Great deal- we got two appetizers for $14 and were stuffed. Great deal. Our server, Morgan was very nice and we enjoyed sitting next to their retractable windows which are probably up during the summer. Great place to eat.

Stopped by on 3/2 for a quick drink and to grab some lunch to go. Restaurant looked nice, and the staff was friendly, but our order was terrible. Our to-go order was missing our appetizer completely. The tortellini with tomato cream sauce was edible, but the tortellini with garlic butter sauce lacked sauce of any kind. Their margaritas are strong, but not tasty.

Family, friends and staff all have a second home here at Christos.. A neighborhood gathering place to visit with the owners and staff.. Never have I frequented such a place that made my family (kids and adults) feel so relaxed to just be ourselves. No stuffy staff or environment here.. The food is fresh and hearty. My son enjoys seeing his "greek momma" EVERY time we come in to eat.. Sometimes she even holds him or treats him to ice cream so I can enjoy a hot meal for a change.. That's family! It's great to be able to take children into a restaurant environment that is actually welcoming.. Most restaurants on Alki don't even allow strollers inside! Leaving a stroller outside on Alki on a busy day is a pain. Thank you for your hospitality:) sometimes we come down to eat and its a packed house.. We anticipate waiting.. Patiently.. As EVERYONE should.. The staff goes the extra mile to accommodate us so we understand when food may take a little longer than on a "slow day".. But we have common sense.. That's rare these days. Besides, the food is worth waiting a little for on a busy day!!! Treat the staff with respect.. They're all working hard so you don't have to cook or clean up after yourselves.. Take that into consideration the next time you enter a busy restaurant. Use your manners and be respectful in public and you will be respected in return. Thank you Christos for always leaving our bellies and hearts full! Ps.. Bring back Spumoni ice cream!! Xoxo

Run by a wonderfully welcoming family. A place where everyone knows your name. Love the bar and the view of the water while enjoying great company. We like the pizza, greek sampler, salad and the drinks, and it's close to home. Get the shredded pepperoni on the pizza! Shout out to Johnny, Pete and Petro! Always appreciate them welcoming us. :-) definitely our go-to spot on alki.

This is my favorite place on Alki! I come in and usually get the Mommas Greek salad and a small Petros special pizza! Also, don't forget to order the fresh handcut French fries! They are absolutely awesome! They have the best view and a truly family feel! Definitely worth a trip to the beach!

So I came in at 7 to a full Resturaunt with 2 other people. We order appetizers which came out quickly. But then waited quit awhile for our entrees. My bf came out wrong and so did mine. Then on the second try mine came out wrong again and my bf came out right. After waiting 2hrs we decided to just give up and go some where else. The waiter was very unprofessional. Extremely disappointed in service and being able to produce under pressure.

Christos is my favorite place in West Seattle! A great family owned business that truly cares about their customers! The Petros special pizza is absolutely the best along with with Greek sampler as an appetizer! Truly everything on the menu is outstanding and definitely worth the visit. A must try!

Had the best dinner tonight! Christos really knows how to do it. The calzones are as big as a football and the pizza was as fresh as it could be. Keep it up!

I just keeping going back! What a great place. Doesn't matter if the family is with you, or if it's just the guys out for a few drinks. Christi's has it all. The menu has plenty if choices, but just in case you don't see what you want, ask for it. I was in the mood for a Monte Christo... Wasn't on the menu, but the made it for me anyway. That's service!

After reading the positive reviews on yelp, I'm pretty disappointed in my experience at Christo's. The two of us ordered gyros, he went with fries and I decided on "mixed greens" side salad. What we received was pretty pathetic... We both received our gyros with different toppings and NO tzatziki sauce... Mine had two slices of meat and tomatoes, his had two slices of meat with lettuce and onion. And no tzatziki sauce? How does that happen, it's a gyro, that's the second main ingredient. It was a worthless $7 gyro. We were both still super hungry and upset we spent that much on such a pathetic gyro. My salad was definitely not a "mixed greens", it was just iceberg lettuce. And then the bill was wrong and overcharged us for drinks. The place seemed overwhelmed with customers and had only two waitresses holding down the floor, so I assumed they were just too busy. But... man, it was a sad meal. I had high hopes, very disappointed! Maybe in the future I'll just go to Christos for drinks... Although, I will say the people who ordered pizza, it looked real good.

  • Becca C.

Great location, great views from the upstairs deck, but really disappointing food. The pinot gris had a weak flavor and the lamb in my gyro was dry; everything seemed to lack flavor. I'm not surprised, given that the restaurant was totally empty and right next door every seat was filled. Will not be back.

  • Tiff H.

The location is nice. We went on a Thursday night and service was very slow. I also noticed there was also a 20-min wait for people that came in after us and there were several tables open, so maybe they were understaffed that night. It took 20 minutes of waiting to get my check. I probably should have ordered some of the Greek food because the clam strip basket was not good. It was overcooked, burnt and not tasty. My husbands pasta dish was good though. Probably not going to be a favorite of ours.

I've had better service at a local Safeway. I came to this restaurant with a friend, and we sit down when the place is not very busy. We order drinks, an appetizer, and our entrees and it takes 20 minutes for drinks to get to us. That's fine, that's sort of to be expected. But it takes nearly 1 full hour for our appetizers to get to us... and the place was not even busy when we got there. By the time our appetizers got to us the place was packed and other diners have already gotten their meals before us. On top of that it takes another 30 minutes for the actual meals to get to us. One would think if it took that long for food to get to you that it would be amazing... but no, the food was sub-par. My friend's order came out wrong, and my order actually came out later than hers for some reason. We wanted to order another drink, but thought against it because it probably would have taken quite a bit longer and we were losing sunlight. I think we would not have received our orders when we did had we not pestered our waitress multiple times. But the waitress was really nice and sweet. We only left a tip because we liked her. The management (at least we think they were management) were friendly to the other diners and asking them how everything was. They barely acknowledged us, and when they finally did ask us how we were doing we expressed concern that the food was taking a while. They said they'd check on that... but we barely got any follow up after that.... all the while other diners get their food after 20 to 30 minutes of them sitting down and ordering... yes, we were paying attention. There was a couple that sat next to us who got there a good 30 minutes after we did and who ordered their food much later than we did. They got BOTH of their entrees before we got ours. That's unacceptable, and we almost felt like we were being discriminated against. Typically, when restaurant management finds out they have dissatisfied customers they try to go above and beyond to make it right. They saw that we were unhappy, so they offered free dessert, which was nice but we were pretty much done with the place at this point so we declined. Instead they just took $10 dollars off the bill. That's it. It didn't feel like the management was even trying to be friendly. I didn't feel welcome from the service we got... Might as well go to Fat Burger down the street. At least if the service sucked, they don't charge you.

Service was bad. Fries are really bad, gyro was ok but not much to it. Chicken parmesan was only a plain fried chicken breast with sauce in it. Unless you have a great parking spot you don't want to give up, or everywhere else is closed, i would pass on this next time.

I've been going here for 10 years, the family and food can't be beat. Please show me a better pizza in Seattle! It can't be done. New happy hour menu really has made The Christos a place to go any time. $5 dinner salad is the best on the beach!!!!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch, after taking the water taxi from downtown, and walking the West Seattle shoreline. Christo's was attractive because it wasn't super-crowded and the general atmosphere was appealing. I ordered a gyro with Greek salad and my wife ordered the shrimp risotto. My gyro was okay, though I thought the salad was a bit overpriced. It was simply the dinner salad with one olive and some feta cheese. The shrimp risotto was wonderful. As we finished our meal, a gentleman (presumably the owner) stopped by our table to chat. He explained that the group that had just left (pretty well-behaved) were members of the Seattle PD Pipe and Drum group, who were hosting their counterparts from the Boston PD. He was very friendly, and indicated that the restaurant was a favorite hangout for SPD officers. We thought this was wonderful. However, folks whose pictures are on post office walls might want to eat elsewhere (VBG), lest they be recognized. Overall, the service was very good, the food was good, and we liked dining indoors, but with the walls opened up on a nice summer day. It would be helpful if their website offered a bit more information about their menu.

What an awesome neighborhood, family owned establishment. Their staff are all really friendly and once you've been in a few times they treat you like family. They even remembered drink orders on the second visit! I've been here for brunch and dinner and have always been pleased with the food. For brunch they do an epic chicken fried steak that will leave you full for the whole day. Freshly fried, perfectly crispy, and a great amount of sausage gravy. It's really hearty and like I said it will leave you full but without that gross, overly full feeling from something too greasy. For dinner you can't go wrong with their pastas or pizza. I especially enjoy their calzones. They're a huge portion and the dough is always perfectly cooked and the fillings pipping hot with a copious amount of gooey, stringy cheese. One calzone is perfect for dinner and leftover lunch or can feed two people. For the size and quality I think they're very reasonably priced. Feel free to just drop in for drinks as well. The bartender is always friendly and they pour some good drinks. Respectable selection of beer as well! And if you just need a snack to go with your drinks you can't go wrong with their cheese bread! Crusty bread with tons of cheese. Especially good (and healthy) when dipped in alfredo.

I have been coming to Christos for a few years now! I have tried almost their whole menu! From breakfasts on the weekends, to dinner at night, very satisfied! With being allergic to gluten, I stick to the gluten free petros special pizza along with a traditional "Greek village salad" they truly always make you feel like family every time you come in. It's always nice to support a true family owned restaurant rather than a chain like most restaurants! Definitely one of my favorite places in west seattle. You won't be disappointed!

I have been to this place 15 or more times. There is sometimes a wait for good reason. The food is over the top. It's a family owned place and the quality of service is over the top. The restaurant is named after the father. If you like old fashioned good food and service on the beach this place is for you.

Great traditional Greek food with a nice casual environment on Alki! I thought they did lunch and dinner but tried them for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by their variety of breakfast options. The service is excellent and the food is spot on. Breakfast, Lunch, or dinner. You'll be left satisfied. This place is interesting. Greek/Italian menu - but I like it. Slightly over priced but we can say that you're paying a few extra bucks for the delightful view of the water that you get as a side dish. I've had breakfast here a few times and it was always really good. Hearty type meal that leaves you full for the rest of the day. Nothing too out of the ordinary. You'll find all of your normals - omelets, bacon, the usual. I popped in for dinner last night and tried a few different things. One was a calzone, which are huge by the way. Really huge. I also tried the canadian bacon and pineapple pizza, which was delicious, and the all veggie pizza - also good. Their pizza is more thick crusted but they load on the cheese to accommodate for the doughiness. It is very good pizza though, I would recommend any one of them. Their dinner menu is short and to the point. Which is a good thing, because you will have something really good. From pizza to pasta dishes, they are all done well. My fifth star lingers somewhere else. Maybe in the creative realm? I just can't give it out because of a lack of ingenuity or originality. The menu doesn't bore me, but it keeps me wanting more. Not a bad thing though... Regardless of my own pickings, You'll get a good meal and you'll be satisfied, so they pull out a strong 4! Classic Eats! Stop in.

I've been here a couple of times only because the other restaurants on Alki were packed. They don't have the best food but their service was attentive and friendly. I remember my friend and I sat at a booth near the window and the seats were ripped. Pretty ghetto.

I have ate here for breakfast, lunch & dinner. The staff is super friendly, and the food was even better. Yeah its run by a big Greek family that knows how to make a great menu. And you can sit at the bar and watch some sports as well. Go and try this place when down there on Alki.

I've been here several times on weeknights and weekends after beach volleyball tournaments and games. The service has never been top notch, only sufficiently friendly. The last night we went though a few weeks ago, the service delays were ridiculous. After waiting about 15-20 minutes after being seated, a waitress finally looked our way, so we waved her over. She took the order, then came back another 15 or 20 minutes later with water. (Running time: 40 minutes so far with only water on the table.) The food arrived fairly quickly, although when I ordered my salad, I didn't realize I also had to specify that I needed silverware to eat said salad. Okay, not really a big deal. So as I waited for one of the servers to surface again, (mind you, this is not a big place, you can see the entire square footage of the restaurant from any seat) I began the parental ritual of cooling down the chicken strips and fries for my son. The chicken strips were more the size of chicken breast, so I was happy to see that, but as I broke up the pieces to cool them down, I had to look down to figure out why it was taking so much effort to do so. This is when I realized that the strips were COMPLETELY RAW inside! A server happened to stroll by within 10 minutes, and did not hesitate to take them away and get us something else from the menu. She was apologetic and shocked, as was one of the other servers there, both of them stating, "That never happens here." and "That's some of the worst undercooked food I've ever seen". I agreed with her second statement completely. They were nice enough to comp the raw meal as well as the replacement meal we ordered. The pizza, calzones and salads are okay, but considerably overpriced. We've since opted for Duke's next door for our after-tournament/match choice, as their food quality is significantly better (as are their palatable happy hour prices!) We may give Christo's another chance sometime in the future, but only because we get a league player's discount.

Definitely the worst service on Alki today! We went there for breakfast and after starting receiving our food, the waiter forgot the other childs meal! We asked where was his simple cinnamon roll and milk(like the other child) he acted like we were ordering at that time and we had to wait another 25 min for a simple pastry. My 6 year old was very patiente but kept asking where his food was. We got it after we had all finished breakfast. The waiter was more interested in chatting with the other groups than doing his job; he never paid attention to any of the tables he had. We had to wait for that pastry till they filled the other table orders. The food was mediocre at best but luke warm. We had been there in the past and was giving them another chance. It was a big disappointment! We won't be back!

Christos could be the setting for a classic 80's sitcom. You've got the big Greek family that run the joint, cute waitresses, a small bar packed with regulars(like the older couple I always see there wearing Hawaiian shirts) and wacky customers. Like for example last night there was a very large group mostly filled with puffy, aging frat boys who kept talking about strip clubs and that ugly broad they banged after doing two beer bongs and a fifth of Jack Daniels. There's definitely character here, but the food is good too. Mostly Greek Pizza which is a little thicker than standard pizza. But they also have Gyros, Souvlaki, subs and pastas. For pasta you choose the type of noodle, the typce of sauce and the type of topping which is kind of cool. They also do breakfast on weekends with portions so big, you'll want to sleep the rest of the day.

We went for breakfast on Mother's Day. There was no wait at all. The staff were a little frazzled because one of the sons decided not to come in at 8:00 am as expected. He showed up at 10:00. That's one of the problems/hazards with a family-run business. The breakfasts were enormous, and the prices a little high for a standard eggs and bacon meal. Downsizing the portions and the prices would be better for everyone's wallet and waistlines. That said, the place is very kid-friendly, important for my family of three kids.

  • Bryan S.

With the mixed reviews, wasn't expecting a whole lot... They delivered! The wait staff was busy so I'll excuse their lack of service. But maybe they should offer menus with seating? Ordered the gyro with salad. Should have been pretty standard fare for a Greek restaurant. The size was very small (it cost $13) and it had a couple of slices of what looked to be premade gyro meat. The bitter lettuce ruined what could have been passable, if only for the taste. Added the salad. The salad was some iceburg lettuce with some olives. The lettuce was brown on the edges. With this low of quality, I'm not willing to take a chance on a second meal with Christos. Overall, poor service, worse food, and pretty outlandish prices.

I just don't get the appeal of this place. Location is the only thing they have going for them. The food is not good. And the prices are ridiculously high. I never choose this place, but we have friends that prefer it for some reason. Blech.

We went to christo's on a whim. The pizza was good, thin and crispy with the cheese melting as he brought it out. Other than having to get my drink replaced 3 times due to some black stuff floating at the bottom of all 3 glasses, the expensively priced food, dirty dishes and a bug or two flying around, the place was ok. The server was nice and services was fast. But this is not a place I would visit again.

Worst happy hour I have been to in quite a while. Selection was horrible and the food we did order was very poor. I give 2 star as the pizzas look good as they were passing by. Will not come back though to try it.

Ughhh got so frusterated with this place. Went there yesterday for a beer and quick lunch. First we sat down and the water glasses on the tables were nasty and a waiter tried to fill them up to give them to us. Next it took FOREVER to get our drink orders and then get the drinks (only ordered 2 beers and a chocolate milk). I saw the bar, they were NOT busy. At 2pm we told the waitress we were in a hurry we put in an easy order. Salad, soup, chicken wings, kids spaghetti. I work in a fine dining restaurant and if someone tells me they are in a hurry I communicate with the kitchen and that food will be fired and our in 12 minutes for a MEAL..NOT SNACKS. We waited 25 minutes for food, finally told the waitress that we needed it boxed up to go because it took to long... she got a little snippy and said "the restaurant is full, the kitchen is busy" umm I was staring at 4 open tables as she said that, Very unproffessional, rude staff....SLOW. On a positive note, when we finally got to eat our food, it was good.

Super nice staff and they love their regulars. I had Penne with Chicken, which came with a salad and garlic bread. He had a meat Calzone the size of my head and we left with more leftovers than food eaten in the restaurant. Great place for kid friendly dining and snaggin' a quick beer on Alki when everywhere else is mad. This is a very useful, not so funny review.. I know, I know.. Working on that.. ;)

Fun place to grab lunch. Although they were busy the owner sat down with us and introduced herself as Mama. She helped walk us through the menu and find some good choices for our 2 year old. Lunch was as amazing as the view. I would say its a great place to drop in for a drink, walk in off the beach or even take someone on a fun casual date.

Beautiful location. Great service. Good neighborhood feel. LAME atmosphere (unless youre into diners and cafeterias). BAD, incredibly OVERPRICED food. Greek? I think not. Americanized, at best. Want good Pizza on Alki, go to anywhere BUT there (keeping in mind that Pegasus is just as bad). Want good Greek food, go to Ballard or Greenwood.

On a rainy Sunday, we ended up in....West Seattle. We are moving to West Seattle in a couple of weeks and are trying to try as many restaurants and coffee shops in the area. So we ended up at Christo's on Alki, about three minutes driving from our future place. Of course, with calamari on the menu, John HAD to have them. Next came the Mamma's Greek salad followed by Petro's special pizza. Everything was good and we will definitely go back!

I used to live on Alki and would frequent Pegasus Pizza. We originally wanted to go to Pegasus but found this place instead. I have to say, the pizza was really, really good. We did have to wait a long time because they messed up on the order, but both the server and cook were very sweet and gracious, truly really great service. They have a full menu, greek inspired. Tried only the cheesebread and the pizza and will be back...

When I want breakfast/brunch and don't want to leave the comforts of Alki and the Alki Cafe has a crazy long wait I head down to Christos. It's a family run Greek restaurant from the same family who use to own Petro's Pizza up on California, which closed many years ago. *Just a note do not go if you are hung-over it's a very family kid friendly place and the yelling and screaming and running around is not good for pounding headaches* So I only go for breakfast and have never been disappointed, I know they do lunch and dinner and they even have a bar, a bit of the hair of the dog never hurt anyone. I'm told their pizzas are amazing though I've yet to try anything other than breakfast. When I go I get the eggs benedicts or the biscuits and gravy or what ever else might look good that morning, I'm never disappointed. I will add they aren't the fastest place but they do tend to keep your beverages filled while you wait. If you're looking for breakfast on Alki check out Christos.

If you love pizza and pasta this place is one of the best. Their uniquely flavored meat sauce leaves you wondering what's in it and why is it so good! The pizza is hands down one of the best and most distinct I've had. The crust is semi-thick with great texture, the sauce and cheese in perfect balance and the choice of toppings is plentiful to satisfy even the pickiest eater. If you are a connoisseur of tasty meatballs, I highly suggest the one's at Christos. Every dinner comes with a generous, fresh salad and garlic bread. The atmosphere at Christos is very comfortable and friendly come and and say hi to family. Their Greek hospitality always leaving me smiling.

The most prominent impression I took away from Christo's was a thought that if they just concentrated on either Greek food or Pizzas that they'd be much better than they are. Considering that there are several places on Alki that offer up better pizza, I wish they'd specialize in Greek cuisine. The food is pretty good, the waitress was friendly on the night we went. The interior of the place looks a bit dated, but it kind of helps add a more warm and friendly atmosphere.

Over priced and over cooked food! Very expensive and totally lacking in quality. Had the chicken parm which was burnt and apparent that the cook could care less what comes out of the kitchen. Nice people but they definitely need professional help. If you're at the beach and looking for a good lunch or great dinner, go to Duke's right next door. If it's pizza walk on down to Pegasus.

These guys accidentally screwed up my order, and gave me some sort of really tasty pizza for free. The one I ordered was mediocre, but the "accident" was excellent. I paid for both and took it home, which left the owner feeling a bit sheepish and asking me if I was sure. I was, and I will be back.

The food is decent...greek style meats and sides dishes. But for the prices, I expect to be transported. It's a place I'd take out of towners on a sunny day before a sunset, as long as I knew they were buying.

They do beautiful things with smoked salmon at breakfast time, with the best view of the water and a staff you'll adore. Great chicken fried steak. Great.

Best food and atmosphere on Alki. Great breakfast on weekends. Happy hour menu and drinks worth the stop in. Best pizza in West Seattle. New garage doors with extended outdoor seating.

I've only been here once, on a cold, empty winter morning sometime back in 2008. But that Chicken Fried Steak is still the best I've ever had. I'm just sayin...

I just don't understand why this place isn't more well known. The prices are decent & the food is great. To be honest, the more well known Pegasus is just not as good in my opinion.

Came here last weekend with a group of friends for drinks. The waitress was super nice about splitting our bills. The only problem was there was only one bartender and it took a really long time to get our drinks. Definitely go back to check out he food.

I just don't get the appeal of this place. Location is the only thing they have going for them. The food is not good. And the prices are ridiculously high. I never choose this place, but we have friends that prefer it for some reason. Blech.

  • Katie A.

Working on that.. ;)

  • T J.

  • Kelly M.

    (2)
  • Kris R.

These guys accidentally screwed up my order, and gave me some sort of really tasty pizza for free. The one I ordered was mediocre, but the "accident" was excellent. I paid for both and took it home, which left the owner feeling a bit sheepish and asking me if I was sure. I was, and I will be back.

    (3)
  • Jenny N.

The food is decent...greek style meats and sides dishes. But for the prices, I expect to be transported. It's a place I'd take out of towners on a sunny day before a sunset, as long as I knew they were buying.

The service is inconsistent but the food is delish, especially the calzones. There baked spaghetti is also very tasty. Sit upstairs on the deck if the weather is nice and you'll enjoy an amazing view of the Sound & the Olympics.

  • Sarah B.

    (5)
  • Herman K.

It was very loud inside so we had to change tables. They were doing fine until what I assume was the owner of the place came. Clearly he lacked essential social skills. Pizza so so. Not friendly place for families. I do not feel the need to come back there again.

  • Kenny S.

Stopped in after an afternoon on Alki. Great service, sat on upper deck patio. Strongly recommend Petros special pizza...delicious. Topped it off with baklava for desert. Great place to bring family and kids. One of the rare family establishments in West Seattle, excellent atmosphere.

Wait 30 minutes before someone took our drink order and the people who got seated after us got taken care of. Someone noticed we hadn't been waited on and we still waited 10 minutes. Then they took forever to refill our waters. The pizza was good but not enough to change my mind on the crappy service.

Yes!

  • James F.

I received an email and gift certificate after leaving my last review and have since returned. This experience was completely different! We were greeted with a smile, seated next to the window and served promptly. We ordered Gyros and beer and it was delicious.

Great location, great views from the upstairs deck, but really disappointing food. The pinot gris had a weak flavor and the lamb in my gyro was dry; everything seemed to lack flavor. I'm not surprised, given that the restaurant was totally empty and right next door every seat was filled. Will not be back.

I've been going here for 10 years, the family and food can't be beat. Please show me a better pizza in Seattle! It can't be done. New happy hour menu really has made The Christos a place to go any time. $5 dinner salad is the best on the beach!!!!

Service was bad. Fries are really bad, gyro was ok but not much to it. Chicken parmesan was only a plain fried chicken breast with sauce in it. Unless you have a great parking spot you don't want to give up, or everywhere else is closed, i would pass on this next time.
