Since dominos doesn't reach where my friend lives, I decided to look on yelp for the pizza delivery and this was the spot. It was very tasty and we didn't wait very long for our pizza and buffalo wings. Thank you.

This is a review of dinner delivery from Alberona's Pizza. In some ways, I loathe writing a negative review for a place that is not based on their specialty. However, a restaurant chooses what to put on their menu and they choose what they want to offer for delivery. There is a $1 delivery fee. The minimum order for delivery is $15. The delivery was prompt (less than an hour) and the delivery person was polite and professional. We ordered two sandwiches. They were both bordering on the inedible. Chef's Special Sandwich (Canadian bacon, pepperoni, salami, tomatoes and mozzarella with our homemade pizza sauce) & Italian Sub Sandwich (Italian dressing, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, salami, tomatoes and mozzarella) They both suffered from the same issues. They were basically cold. The bread had a slightly burned flavour to it and was mushy. The sandwiches were just clumps of ingredients. There really wasn't a redeeming value to either sandwich. Receipt (Two Sandwiches): $19.25 tinyurl.com/lcdssbh Overall - This just wasn't an enjoyable dining experience. We simply couldn't eat the food.

Meh at best. Definitely a greasy slice for late night drunkness. Service was lacking as I ordered 5 slices of cheese pizza and waiting 20 minutes despite there being 5 cheese slices under the heat lamp. Will never be back

Happen to be by the Fremont area, craving for pizza, The ball room is too noisy, found that the Hoki Teriyaki has been replaced by this pizza place. For less than 5 bulks I ordered a personal size. Nice dough w Thin crust, fresh ingredient w good M cheez and sauce......reminding me the place I missed, A New York Pizza on 5th Ave NE now the Flying Squirrel. They offer delivery service and open till 3 am I believe. So convenience for the night owl like me....

I sent my wife in for their Greek platter and simple hummus with tzatziki and wow, ok.. they just steal your cash because not only was this completely inedible, mushy and haphazardly thrown together, it wasn't worth 5 cents and cost over $20! This is an established restaurant on Fremont.. really? They are clearly not aware of how to package food so your order does not get mushy and mashed together.. or TOO CHEAP to do it properly. It was disgusting and nothing was even recognizable in this platter other than a few olives. 00000 stars for this place. She also waited for nearly 20 minutes... and for WHAT? Unacceptable and their Tzatziki also stinks! Sometimes you do deserve a full refund. We still have all food mashed together in the to-go containers. It's no wonder they seal them up with tape.. they don't want you to open until you reach your house! My wife has made me edit this to state the man that brought her food out was incredibly nice and that she enjoyed the pita bread that wasn't drenched in water & in the smaller container. She thought the Tzatziki was different, but edible.

This review is for their dinner delivery. I do not even know where to begin. I generally do not leave reviews for restaurants, but my experience was SOOO BAD I had to warn people. The one star I left is truly more than they deserve! I placed my order online, I got the lasagna (description does not list meat, to be sure I put in the comments "no meat"), Greek salad, and a chocolate moose cake. Five minutes after I place my order, I get a call from the delivery person (who refused to give me his name) saying that it has meat. So that was nice that he called and informed me, except after that he proceeded to pester me on why I can't just eat the meat. Then starts asking what country I am from and why I wont eat the meat. This was how that went; " Him:are you from India? Me: No I am not. Him: you sure!? Me: Yes I am sure I am not from India. I am born and raised in California. Him: Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight (sarcastically)" Anyways moving along I asked if it was possible to make substitutions on items which he affirmed was possible (only in theory apparently). Every time I would ask about a dish, he kept bringing it back to the eggplant parmesan, as if he gets commission for selling them. Anyways long story short he got here and the first thing he asks me when I open the door, before a greeting, before anything he asks "how are you giving me my tip?" (Just an fyi the restaurant is 2mi from my hotel, so not that far. Plus I was already charged a delivery fee, so it was not crazy hard for him to get here). While I generally tip, and tip well, I did not appreciate his rude tone and lack of any basic customer service(btw I still did tip). Once I got my food I put it down, set the table, and checked my order (I know I shoild have checked before) only to find that he did not bring my chocolate moose cake. I then preceeded to call him (no more than 5min of him leaving) he answered the phone in an extremely rude manner! Then when I told him he forgot my cake, he never apologized, showed no remorse at all, and on top of that he tried to make me feel guilty! He said " oh do I have to come ALL THE WAY BACK!?" Once again, keep in mind it is two miles away. Then very rudely he says "fine! I will bring it in a few minutes". That was at 10:10pm (over an hour after my initial order), so I preceeded to eat my food (which was not at ALL what was described). At 11pm(50min later) I began to wonder if he was going to bring me my cake, so I gave him a call.... He answered once again in a VERY rude manner, and stated "I WILL BE THERE SOON!" (I put all caps because he was actually raising his voice). At 11:18pm he knocks on the door, I open it, he doesn't say ANYTHING to me, shoves the box at me and walks away! That was the last straw for me, so I said sarcastically (you have a good night too) to which he scuffed at. So asked for his name again. (I also asked when I first ordered, and he was interrogating me on where I was from). So he just walked away and waved his hands in the air. Besides the awful customer service, the food was cold amd virtually tasteless. Portions were small! And the food was not packaged properly and leaked all over the box and bag. All in all BAD SERVICE! Bad food, and not worth the effort.I do NOT recommend this restaurant for ANYONE!

Fast pizza delivery service. I got a flyer(coupon) from them before, which you can use for free salad, drinks, food, or discount. I have been using it for all my orders. Cannot complain. Good deals. Not sure if they are still offering the coupons though. Tasty food for sure. An extra large pizza is enough for 3-4 male adults. Reasonable price. Will be back.

This review is also for their delivery... I've ordered from this restaurant 3 seperate times, because the food isn't too shabby. Many of the notes you see on the eat24 app review the food as "soggy". Whether it's the potato wedges, mozzarella sticks or salad... Again- I believe this is only a fault of the delivery service and not the actual food. I ordered through the app because I was craving thai and my son and his friend wanted pizza. Let's be honest- when entertaining Tiny's you don't necessarily want to cook. So I ordered theirs first. Mainly because this is one of the only establishments on there that has the tiny, personal pizzas. After placing their order, I got on and ordered my Thai. 45 min later, my Thai food came. An hour and 15 min later I was calling the restaurant to find out where our pizza and appetizers were. The person on the other end said that they had left 45 min prior with our order. An hour and 45 min after placing the order with cold Thai food and 2 extremely hungry and grumpy boys- another call was placed. 2 hours and 10 min later- 2 personal pizzas, an order of soggy mozzarella sticks & 2 sodas arrived.... Between the customer service on the phone, the slow delivery time and the rude driver- I unfortunately won't be ordering from here again. Maybe if I find myself in the neighborhood however, they can change my mind with fresh; quality food.

If you like pizza, don't order from here! If you like fresh food, don't order from here! If you want food that's been microwaved, made with the lowest quality ingredients, and sat in a car for 2 hours while the delivery driver tries to figure out how a road works, then you should definitely order from here. Worst pizza and cheese sticks I've ever had in my entire life.

I've ordered the meatball sub twice and both times I got sick afterwards so I'm not sure of the level of hygiene within their kitchen. Their salads are delicious and fresh though. All in all, don't order the meatball sub.

I see the reviews are mixed for this place. I can also see why. I love pizza and it's hard for me to find pizza I hate - well, Safeway take and bake I hate. I enjoyed my visit here. I can see it being more of a take out scenario, or, if I lived closer, a delivery thing. It is, literally, a little shack on the corner and if you're looking for a place that is huge with ample parking, or at least some street parking...my friend, you are sadly mistaken! Split a cheesesteak and a pepperoni-mushroom pizza with a friend. It was an unusually hot day and the place was passably cool with the AC unit in the window. No fountain drinks - all cans. Complimentary water. Service was super nice and friendly while the food was pretty good as well. I would definitely be back! Parking was a bit odd because there were 2 spaces and both were occupied by men who looked like they had been forced to move and were now sorting through their crap in their cars and then tossing unwanted things into the dumpster...very, very odd.

Ordered from here at random because they were close enough to deliver and I'm pregnant and hungry. The act that they have potato skins also helped. I called at 8:15 and he said "45 minutes." Which seemed like a lot but I thought whatever. Then I realized he told me "$21" so I called back and apparently he thought I ordered some chicken dinner dish instead of chicken tenders (total should've been about $15). Then, an hour and five minutes I called, checking the status of my order and he said he'd have the driver call me. He did and was apparently having a difficult time finding my apartment building (my streets are a little confusing but a GPS knows exactly where I am) and he eventually figured it out. I finally got my food an hour and 25 minutes after I first called. Not okay. I suppose most if these things, individually, are understandable and forgivable, however annoying. But the food was not fabulous at all. $7 for 4 chicken fingers that are not only way small (think: McDonald's Nuggets x2), but also not whole pieces of meat. It was just processed mush. Gross. Definitely not going to bother ordering from here again.

If you like pizza without sauce, soft spongy grease dense crust, rubbery cheese, with low quality toppings. This is the place for you. Even if I was drunk, walking home, and stumbled into this place to pay $3 for a slice, I still would have been disgusted. If you like your pizza with sauce (I do), a solid crust, and not just cheese. I would suggest going ANYWHERE else. I mean anywhere else, including dumpsters behind pizza joints that may have thrown out day old pizza. It will taste better than this place.

I was bummed my 40-60 minute wait at the blue hair dinner hour of 4:10 turned into a delivery time of an hour and a twenty minutes. The spinach salad had more onions than spinach (or anything else for that matter) and the pizza was barely warm. The location is only 10-15 minutes from my place, it's raining but come on, it's Seattle. I'll be forgetting their number.

This place is terrible in regards to their service! I wouldn't know what their food is like because I never got it. My friends and I decided to visit seattle for New Years and around 11:45pm we decided to order a pizza so that when we got back from our event we would have something to eat. I knew it was a busy night so I expected t to take about 1-1.5 hours for delivery. We ordered a pizza, wings and 2 soda cans. The guy came on time to deliver but we only got our wings and soda because they forgot the pizza! What the heck?! The driver calls the owner and he tells him yes they forgot it. I talked to the owner and he tells me to pay for the pizza and then they will deliver it in about an hour....?! What? No way! I told him I'm not paying for the pizza and he said fine but it'll take about an hour for the pizza to deliver. I was upset and he said don't worry he will send someone asap. 2 hours later.... No pizza. Terrible service! This isn't how you treat customers! I would stay away if possible

My girlfriend and I got the shrimp scampi pasta and the garlic chicken pizza. I thought the pizza was okay, it didn't have a lot of flavor to it but was good. The pasta was extra slappin though ( which means really good) good place to go when you have a couple of beers in you.

Abysmal. I've never been into their restaurant, this review is strictly based on their delivery. Where to begin...Calling this pizza is nothing short of an insult to real pizza. In a town where it's not hard to find good local pizza joints all over the place, I have no clue how this place has stayed in business. I decided to give them a shot as they were one of the few local pizza spots that deliver to my area that I hadn't yet tried. Let me be clear, I REGRET THIS DECISION. Let's begin. I payed $30 for an extra large with a few toppings... For starters, the extra large wasn't even that large, and sure as hell was not worth $30. Second issue: The sauce. There wasn't any...And I don't mean that they used it sparingly, I mean that they gave me a "pizza" without any damn sauce. No. Nope, that's not right. Not pizza. Next issue, and this was a huge one: The dough. Good lord was the dough gross. Not only was is somewhat raw when I received my "pizza", but it was almost as if the entire "pizza" had been sitting in a fucking sauna for the last hour. Like it was just lounging around getting it's sweat on, probably laughing and telling jokes with a bunch of hairy middle-aged men all for some reason wearing gold necklaces...but I digress. It was sweaty. The "pizza", was sweaty, and utterly soggy. Now I don't mind a floppy slice of pizza, but this dough was squishy and simply sad. This was enough to already make we want to write an angry yelp review, but it's not even done yet. Lastly, the toppings. I swear to the god of dairy that I can make a better pizza with a package of three dollar kraft fucking cheese. I have no idea what they did, but the cheese was just gross. Flavorless, soggy (just like everything else), no snap, no stretch, no delicious cheesy saltiness, nothing. Fuck. Next, the other toppings. Huge surprise, they too were gross. It was amazing that they managed to put multiple toppings on a "pizza" and still have the entire thing taste like NOTHING AT ALL. The ingredients they use clearly suck, and you can taste it. Summary: If you like overpaying for an entirely flavorless, soggy, under-cooked, low quality pizza, by all means come here. But if you really want to pay $30 just to get fucked, I'd recommend you just take a walk up Aurora instead.

It's hard to have bad pizza, but they've done it here. I ordered a monster pizza which sounded like an awesome combination, and probably could be, but not on a bland and considerably soggy pizza. The hot wings and garlic bread were likewise soggy. On the plus side, customer service was good at the counter. But that's it. I won't be back, and I'll likely encourage others to stay away when there is so much good pizza in the neighborhood

I'm writing the negative review because of their delivery. The delivery person had no idea what I ordered. He had me open up other peoples orders to see if it was my order or not. Meanwhile, his buddy is sitting in the car outside of my apartment building eating pizza in the passenger seat. After finding my order I tell him that he is missing my salad. He than gets on my balcony and yells out the window for his friend to find my salad. He goes down and retrieves it and hands it to me. I guess I should have opened up this salad as well because it had the wrong salad dressing in it. Incredibly unprofessional!

My first time here was quiet and delicious. The food was tasty and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the shrimp scampi which tasted rich and creamy. Great for late night food cravings.

Albaronas pizza and pasta is hands down one of my favorite local pizza places. They use only the freshest ingredients and the staff is of genuine character, they are definitely a local favorite and definitely underrated. My heart goes out to albaronas and I will always call them when my pizza and pasta craving arises.

Greek calzone was okay. Cheese bread was soggy like it had been dipped in water. Greek salad was missing about half the ingredients. All this, plus tip, about $30. Not good value for money, even if it had been okay. I'll never order from here again.

Never again. Delivery order took 2 hours to show up. Pizza was cold, wings were undercooked...even my Coke was room temperature. We ordered 40 wings and a pizza, they didn't give us a single napkin. Never again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Do not order delivery from here. We were given an estimated delivery time of 55-60 minutes. 1 hour and 35 minutes later....still no food. Called to cancel the order and were told the delivery guy was standing on our doorstep. Definitely not. Ended up canceling the order and going out to eat. You've been warned.

Very disappointed. Ordered food from here through Eat24. Should have just went to bed hungry. The "garlic cheese bread" (if you can even call it that) was soggy and barely had any cheese on it. The salad that I ordered as a side didn't come with any dressing. The lasagna had no meat and is the worst I've ever had. Ready for the best part of my delivery order?!?! THEY DIDNT SEND ANY UTENSILS!!! Seriously?!? (Staying at a hotel when I got this)

This place is close so we wanted to give it a try. The pizza was flavorless, did not have enough sauce, or enough cheese. There was no love in this pizza.

Not a good value for the price. The $7 chicken strips appetizer gets you 4 tiny, chewy pieces that seemed microwaved from frozen. I was unpleasantly surprised when my order arrived and could fit in the same size container that's usually reserved for small side salads. It only got worse when I opened it and saw the 4 sad McNugget-sized pieces at the bottom. Twice the amount still would've filled only 1/4 (or maybe 1/3, being generous) of the extra-small container, at most - that's how small and thin the pieces were. The size and quality were appropriate for a kids menu, maybe...but I wouldn't ever expect to pay $7 for this small a portion, of this quality, even for kids. Definitely would not recommend this dish to a grownup expecting anything crispy, well-seasoned, or large enough to share (or even large enough for 1 person over the age of 12). It is none of those things. I also tried the stuffed portobello appetizer ($7). It was not warm anymore by the time it was delivered. The quality of ingredients seemed pretty good (not amazing, but good), but I don't think that I'd pay $7 again for ONE mushroom. Compared to the chicken strips it was fantastic, but, overall, they should really reconsider the pricing of their appetizers. I worked in food service for years, for a while at what many believe to be an "overpriced" local pizza place, but even that place would never dream of charging $7 for either of these appetizers as I received them. I have not tried the pizza here. If I do and it is a vast improvement over this experience, I will update. But at the very least, I advise avoiding the appetizers.

I had the chicken penne delivered to my hotel with instructions to bring napkins and utensils. They didn't bring them. The chicken was just awful, it was rubbery and discolored and it tasted like it was cooked in the microwave. The bread it came with was burnt. Even if you're desperate for dinner and they are the only place open, abstain, you're better off.

I have ordered about 8 pizzas over the past 2 years. One consistent positive attribute has been the dough. It has a great balance between chewy and crispy textures. I recently had a negative experience with the lack of cheese on a Monster pizza. The owner graciously offered a replacement. This is excellent service. The chicken pizzas (bbq, garlic, pesto) are my favorite. You should try ol' Alberonas. Odds are high that you will enjoy your food.

  • Michelle B.

I just went to Alberona's for the first time, having passed the little shack so many times before. The food was quite good and was served quite quickly, which surprised me since there was only one guy there to take our order, cook the food, bring it out to us, and then give us our check. It probably helped that it wasn't busy at the time, but I think he may have been making other food for deliveries. Anyway, there were 4 of us there for dinner and we had: pasta, eggplant parmagiana, calzone, and philly cheesesteak. Everyone thought their food was good but the best items of those were probably the eggplant dish (great garlic bread served with it) and the calzone (huge and very tasty!) We also had salad which was good as well. I would easily recommend this place as the prices were decent, the portions were large, and the taste was very good. We plan to return. By the way, the employee there told me it's under new management so it's possible that some of the issues others wrote about have been resolved now. You can certainly give it a try and see what you think.

    (5)
  • Vincent M.

UPDATE: Updating my review to four stars because Alberona's has compensated the error by offering a free pizza. I thought that was very cool of them as other places would probably just brush the issue off. So by them doing that just shows they do care about their customers, so thank you Imran. We got the Monster pizza which is a really good pizza with fresh vegetables, sausage and ham.

I love this place! My boyfriend lives a small walking distance away, and we frequently order from here. Our favorites are the Greek calzone and Alberona's pizza. SO GOOD. Additionally, the delivery is super convenient and prompt and it's pretty awesome that they stay open until 3am. Every time I've gone to pick up my order, there's never a wait time. It's always ready on time which is awesome, because I'm usually starving. I've also seen some familiar Uber drivers dining in. Yay Uber! In the future, I'd really love to try more of the menu!

NEGATIVE Stars if they were possible. WHOAH, WHOAH, WHOAH... We haven't had Alberona's since the early summer... But my previous experiences from them were always solid 3/4 star: Friendly customer service, and the food was always prepared with quality ingredients. Rarely did leftovers from Alberona's make it to the next dinner! Solid "we're tired from a long day of work, let's order some calzones" food, never disappointing. After about two bites of my most recent order from them-- my first thought was, "Shit, they changed ownership." SO tragic. Then I jumped onto Yelp to see if this was the case... and it appears it is. The calzones from the previous owners were super delicious, and our preferred calzone after the tragic loss of Pete's Calzones. The calzone I just tried was total garbage. Completely raw bottom dough, sub par ingredients, and pretty much inedible. The pasta dishes we ordered were just as bad. Their marina sauce tasted either rancid, or overwhelmed with green olives-- either way, not anywhere near as tangy and fresh as the previous owners'. The salads are totally skimpy now, and contain no mozzarella or black olives. And come, apparently, with only ranch dressing as I was given no option on the phone. I also do not like the idea of paying with my credit card to some guy's cell phone and the promise of an email receipt. Not cool. I'm sorry, but whoever used to own Alberona's should be outraged that their formerly well-run, and solid quality restaurant has gone to hell. Depressing. I should have seen the red-flag when their website noted that their food might sometimes arrive 80 minutes after it was ordered! The old ownership never was late. If anybody knows where the old ownership went, if they are still operating a pizza joint-- I'd like to know!

Before I start let me address the fact that I'm a bit of a pizza critic. I recently moved here from Detroit and while the city may be burning the ground the pizza there is fantastic. It's as good as the economy there is bad. Since moving to Seattle a few months ago I've only tried a few places. I'm not much of a fan of the wood fired thin crust that seems to be the running trend here. I checked out pictures the other reviewers were kind enough to post here and saw something that looked a little more substantial. I was excited but reading the reviews here made me a little trepidatious. We ordered late evening (8ish) and the fella on the phone said 45 minutes for delivery. I ordered my usual, when trying out a new place I always go simple (pepperoni and cheese) to get a taste for the pie itself, and not just what kind of dressing they put on it. We also decided to try out their garlic cheese bread. Pizza arrived in 44 minutes and was fresh and warm. We tried out the garlic bread first and were relatively impressed, good thick french bread covered in an appropriate amount of mozzarella and slight italian seasoning. Portion size was good but we got a full order, we really could have gotten by with a 1/2. As for the pie itself it looked extremely plain, cheese was non descript and hid the pepperoni. The first bite was better than I expected based on the presentation. Cheese had the slightest crisp to the top layer that worked well with the large thin style pepperoni that they use. The bread/crust were extremely greasy but really pleasant. (Think Zeek's level of grease). The only place it fell apart a bit was the sauce. The quantity was good but the flavor was a bit off for my taste. First of all it was sweet, extremely sweet. It had a vague fruitiness to it that almost had a cherry hint. On any bite that had all the ingredients it was fine but towards the crust when you'd get a bite with a lot more sauce than cheese it came through quite strongly and put me off a bit. All in all it was a good pie just not my favorite in town so far. I think the negative reviews I've seen here so far are unwarranted, if you enjoy a sweeter style sauce this place could really be a favorite.

To reiterate - NO STARS, if possible. Shortly after my review posted (8/11/12), the owner (or someone claiming to be such) contacted me via Yelp, apologizing for my bad experience & and offering me a $20 gift certificate to try Alberona's again. There was no request to remove my bad review, nor was the offer contingent upon a good review. He provided an email address to contact him. I did so via Yelp & also via email (8/26/12), and followed up again via email on 9/15/12. As of 10/25/12, I've received no response to any of my attempts to contact him, so I have to assume he really doesn't care that much about Alberona's rep on Yelp. TL;DR - possibly the worst by-the-slice pizza in Seattle, and an owner who doesn't give a flying fvck about his reputation. Hey Ron - was that offer of a $20 gift certificate just an attempt to get me to pull my review? I'd love to know if you made similar offers to everyone else who posted a poor review of your place.

Our first and only time we will eat at Alberona's. We put in our order for delivery through Eat24 and it took almost 2 hours to get our food. Eat24 called them twice and both times were told that the driver was on his way. Once we finally got our order, it was wrong. We got caffeine free diet coke but we actually ordered diet coke. We also noticed that the sandwiches hardly had anything on them. They were mostly bread but what was in them was good. The whole experience was a bit of a disappointment.

Never again. This might be decent pizza if I was drunk at 2am and hungry. Otherwise, not a good choice.

Visited Alberona's Saturday with 2 friends on our way to check out the Sunday Market. Had a buy one get one deal from an Entertainment Coupon Book. Initially was surprised by the size of this place- there are about 4 tables total. Also noticed a ladder, cleaning supplies in clear view next to a drink cooler- kinda awkward. We were the only diners at about 2 pm. First friend ordered fettuccine Alfredo (about $15) while my other friend and I opted to try the Thea pizza- garlic, pesto, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes (about $11 for a 10 inch). Water was self serve in paper cups that we had to get from the server... with no other customers it was curious that we had to go to them and ask... we were sitting about three feet in front of the checkout/ order counter. Food arrived fairly quickly, and the pizza looked really good. It also tasted really good, which is what saved the meal for us. The 10 inch was 6 good size pieces, definitely enough to share. My friend said he regretted ordering the fettuccine after seeing the pizza. Soooo... try the pizza, but don't expect any extras here... I can see why this spot would be a popular takeout place.

We had a $10 Living Social for pickup. We ordered a pizza (the Thea, with artichokes, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, etc.) and an appetizer--stuffed portobello mushrooms. The pizza was good, but a little pricey without the coupon for what it was. The mushrooms? What a letdown. I paid $7 for one very mediocre mushroom. ONE MUSHROOM. The menu even says MUSHROOMS, as in more than one: Stuffed Portobello Portobello mushrooms, pesto sauce, goat cheese, red onions, spinach, roasted red peppers, and mozzarella cheese. We won't be ordering from here again unless there's a smokin' deal, and even then, we'll only be getting the Thea pizza. No mushroom.

I had the pizza and stuffed portabella. Neither were anything to write home about, but it was fine for take out. I probably won't go back unless there's a really great deal. The service was fine...it's just that there wasn't anything all that special and there was hardly any cheese on my pizza.

Ordered a Greek pizza. Took about 90 minutes to arrive and they forgot to include Tzatziki sauce.

This is my favorite pizza store, I eat here all the time and one of the best things about it its that it delivers late. Can you imagine, good food that delivers at late hours, or early hours, till 3 am. It deserves 7 stars in my book, but ill give it 5 for right now. Thanks to the crew of Alberonas pizza for staying open late and cooking some great pizzas.

Super bland. The first thing I ever tried from Alberonas was their Mascarona(sp?) pizza which was actually pretty good. We just ordered dinner from them again and all of the four things we ordered were practically flavorless to me. Even the marinara dipping sauce sucked. The garlic bread tastes like there's no garlic. Not crispy on the edges or fluffy at all, just chewy and thin. The calzone was okay because it actually tasted like something, which was the mushrooms inside of it. But that's it. The tiramisu tasted like it was just sweet vanilla cake with some cocoa powder on top of the frosting. As for the pasta, it was the most bland. I don't see how you could go wrong with fettuccine but they did. Was so hungry and waiting for so long to be disappointed :( Bland, bland, bland. Pizza's good n that's it.

I have driven by this place for 2 years and finally tried it out today. I'm glad I did. I'm a big supporter of local businesses in general so my last favorite Pizza was Pizza Ragazzi in the Udistrict because they deliver to Fremont and are open till 4am...BUT they always took 1 hour to deliver...couldn't do it anymore. This was when I found Alberonas. I called them ahead of time because they had an online menu, and you can also order from your mobile device. They deliver for free if you are local withing 4 miles. I ordered a little bit of everything and found it very tasty. The wings were very meaty and not drenched in sauce. The caesar salad was amazing. Lots of croutons, frresh romaine, and lots of parmesean and tasty caesar dressing on the side. The mini pizza was amazing. Quality sausage, fresh mushrooms and pepporini. You can tell its hand tossed and fresh. Sergio is the owner, a great passionate man who loves and knows his food. Yes, everyone has their opinions and yes he is mexican BUT I dont think his nationality matters. If the food is good, thats all that matters. Most of todays restaurants cooks/kitchen staff are Mexican Americans. They probably cook your fine dining/french cuisine, thai food, chinese food, you name it. Bottom line, great passionate food and you can taste the love he puts into it. What other pizza place is there that you can get slices at lunch! its just like NY. This is Sergios take on pizza. Its going to be different and yes its not going to taste like Italy, but it'll taste like what Sergio believes is his best pizza.

I used to love this place. Great pizza, happy staff and reasonable prices. Then ownership changed. The prices went up 30% and the pizza was not nearly as good. Some of the staff stayed on and they are great but the new staff is lackluster. At the new price point I'll go back to Zeeks.

Fail. Caprese salad contained no mozzarella at all. How does one even make a mistake of that nature? Will never order from them again.

UPDATE I am happy to report that the owner of Alberona's has reached out to me to offer me a free shot to try their restaurant again. I have added a star to my rating due to great customer service. ORIGINAL REVIEW--- 1 star So maybe it's my fault for going out on a limb and trying too exotic of a pizza, but my recent and only order from Alberona's was absolutely terrible. I was excited to see a place that serves a TACO PIZZA as it reminds me of pizza parties I had as a youngster @Godfathers. That was half of my pie and the other half was supposed to be a version of a Greek Gyro. Both were the worst of both worlds and I dare say that it was the most terrible pizza decision of my life. Although the toppings and cheese slid right off, the Taco side consisted of onions, tomato and something that was supposed to be beef although it tasted much more like an old foot. These ingredients were on top of cheese and TAPATIO SAUCE!!!!! I'm sorry but there is a MAJOR difference between TACO seasoning and TAPATIO sauce, TAPATIO is a hot sauce, they should rename this pie the HOT SAUCE pie so as not to get anybody's hopes up. Putting something Hispanic on a Pizza does NOT make it a taco pizza! As for the Greek side, somehow it was a soggy mess even though there was almost no sauce. It was flavorless and they forgot to add the Tzatziki sauce. A far cry from a Greek indulgence. The only good thing I found about this place was the customer service. They were very polite and patient over the phone and the pie arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Bottom line is that after finally taking the plunge into Alberona's after driving by it day after day I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. Although maybe I should have just gone for the pepperoni, this was probably the worst pizza I have ever tasted. IF YOU CAN'T make the food right, DON'T HAVE IT ON THE MENU!

So I gave them another try, and the pizza is still quite good! It's nice and cheesy for a cheese lover like myself, but, again, the cheese is falling to one corner-please give the pies a resting time! Sloppy pizza, but tasty!

Decent pizza. Crust is a little heavy and the pizza reminds me of a Papa Murphys style pizza. All in all if you need a pizza and your in Fremont this place will hold you over.

OMG!!! Local Seattle peeps... You got to order the thin crust cheese pizza from this restaurant. Seriously yummy!!! This dough is light and is slightly crispy. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese. It's made fresh to order and down right delicious!!! Customer service is great too!!!

I had pizza here and it was really good. Yummy, super cheesy and deliciously salty. There was one guy waiting on us, working the register, taking phone orders, and cooking the pizza. He went out of his way to help me and was above and beyond in nice-ness. He is my new hero. The place is small. There are 4 tables I think and they each seat 4 people. There is a lunch special that ends at 2:30pm. It's 2 slices of pizza + a drink for $5.50. After 2:30pm there are no more slices, though :( I am excited to go back and try other things, or maybe order delivery or take out. It's extra awesome because it's within walking distance. Ok. I hope they get more business.

First off Thank God Hoki's is gone. I've been hearing some mixed things about Alberona's so I needed to check it out for myself. Keep in mind this place has only been open a week, and might need some time to iron things out. I have to give them credit for cleaning the place up. It looks completely different. The menu is pretty large, and I find quite reasonable for a hand made pizza with fresh ingrediants. I ordered a Greek pizza & a Caesar salad. The pizza was stout & filling and was very fresh tasting. The dough was nice and fluffy but not gooey. The Salad was a very good value as compared to other pizza establishments that i have been to. i think the dressing was home made, and it was delicious. very garlicky but i like garlic so it was just fine with me. I'll have to try them out again.

I ordered a late lunch/early dinner from here on a very lazy sunday afternoon this past weekend through eat24hours.com and although the website listed an average delivery time of 45-60 minutes, the food got to my place in less than 30, which was great. The sandwich was good, although i didn't know what to expect honestly. For a brooklynite a "chicken parmesan" hero only has 3 thrings...chicken breast fillet, marinara sauce and parmesan cheese...somehow i got chicken bits and onions added to my sandwich...lol the mozzarella sticks were hot and worth the money for the portion. Overall a good experience, i don't know if i'd order again..service was good...but yelpers have a connection with food...

The only reason I am giving one star is because you can't leave zero stars. The worst food and service I have had from delivery to date. .. which unfortunately says a lot. It took an hour and a half and was a greasy ball of terrible.

Eh. We ordered the chicken parm (with garlic cheese bread), a caprese salad, two desserts, and another pasta dish (I don't remember what one, but it had penne and alfredo sauce and we got a side salad). My boyfriend went and got it and brought it home--wow. The garlic cheese bread I ordered was good, but they wrapped it as soon as it came out of the oven, and folded it over on itself, so the cheese was a huge clumpy mess. Gross, but it tasted alright. The caprese looked great--and tasted great--but there was no balsamic or olive oil, so we had to use some of our own. The menu says it comes dressed, but it didn't. I had charcoal chicken on my chicken parm--it was so dried out that it literally crunched as I tried to bite into it, but my boyfriend's noodles seemed to be alright. The side salad looked really fresh and the greens were clean and that was a plus. The desserts were completely melted by the time we got them home (we live about five minutes away. We tossed them in the fridge, but they were just too far gone), so it was like a soup. Overall, we were pretty disappointed. If there is a zombi apocalypse and this is the last remaining place to get food, alright, but otherwise, there is much better out there.

Office ordered pizza from this office one day instead of from Zeek's, and I'm glad they did. Much, much better tasting than Zeek's and reasonably priced. Seattle has a lot of horrible pizza (Yes, Pagliacci and Zeek's - I'm looking at you!) so to find a place that does it well is surprisingly hard to do. I'll definitely order again from Alberona's.

Tried Albarona's for the first time tonight. I was having a craving for pizza and I live close and haven't gone yet, plus my boyfriend said, "There's always a big Italian man in the window!" Turns out the big man was Mexican, not Italian, but he sure served us some pizza like he was second generation Roman-American. We got a pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, garlic, and pesto. It was SUPER greasy, but it seemed like it was mostly olive oil instead of pizza grease, which is usually from the meaty parts. The atmosphere in the place sort of sucks, but that's because they are focused on the delivery service, which is their main source of income. Even though the dining room is tiny and we were the only customers, I still felt welcome to sit in there and have dinner. That's what really matters. So! If you live in the Fremont area and you got a craving for some American-style greasy pizza, I recommend Alberona's.

Delicious massive BBQ chicken sandwiches delivered on a 14 inch hoagie smothered with melted cheese. Reminds me a bit of the comparable Elliot Bay BBQ chicken sandwich on Queen Anne. These things are bigger than a baby. Huge. Haven't tried the pizza yet but it's only $2.50 a slice.

Contrary to my last review, I am now a fan of this place. I hadn't been back since I wrote that review, but for the year plus that I frequented other pizza joints, I still remembered how delicious I thought the pizza was. I decided to give them another chance. This time I did delivery and I picked my own toppings for my large pie: bacon, onions, and goat cheese. This combination may sound gross to many of you, but let me tell you-- it is divine, especially on Alberona's crust. The flavor of the crust totally complements the sweet, creaminess of the goat cheese and the saltiness of the bacon. It is a killer combo and if you're daring enough, you should try it. My only two complaints would be that like in my last review, the cheese still slides off the pizza (which is really obnoxious) and that the toppings were sparse. Hardly any of the three ingredients made their way onto each slice; that's one thing that irritates me about all Seattle pizza joints, because it's not just Alberona's that charges a lot for each topping but than cheats you on the goods (value-wise). If I had the forethought of ordering pizza, I would probably just order a cheese pizza and add my own toppings at home. But who ever does that?! I also ordered two desserts. Yes, two, because I couldn't make up my mind. The mud pie was alright. It was 85% melted by the time I got it, so I pretty much had two bites of the coffee flavored melted ice cream and the chocolate crust and pitched the rest of it. I'd only order this if you were eating in or live REALLY close to Alberona's. I'm pretty far from there, so I can see how it would have melted and don't really fault them. The other one I got was the amaretto cake. OMG. That was really delicious. I would def. order that again! Anyway, the delivery was timely (approx. 40 mins.) & since I paid with a credit card through Eat24, the delivery guy just handed me my food and left. I thought it was weird I didn't have to sign anything, but hopefully there won't be an issue down the line when I get my bill. I'll probably order from here again, but not often, since my total bill was still $30!

Ordered chicken marsala and cheese ravioli for delivery. Took three bites of the chicken marsala and just couldn't bear anotther bite. Yes, marsala is sweet, but this was overkill. Managed five bites of the ravioli. The dough was undercooked, not al dente, but like biting into almost raw dough. Even the garlic bread was inedible. I hate to be so harsh, I usually give places two or three chances, but this was some of the worst food I've ever tried.

Great pizza! Four stars because it's just pizza so it can only be so good. The small filled me up and I eat normal size meals always. The atmosphere is really chill so don't expect something real fancy. I will definitely go back.

  • Tim H.

I guess I disagree with most of these reviews. The pizza isn't 'gourmet' or anything, but it is really good I think. You can get a HUGE slice and a coke for three bucks. Can't beat that. Also, there usually is plenty of parking right across Leary next to the statuary. This is now one of my main lunch spots. Give it a try!

Along Leary Avenues' slow transformation from Fremont to Ballard, the road sweeps around a bend scattered with a few businesses. One of these, Alberona's Pizza and Pasta has undergone it's own metamorphosis over the years. Most recently this was the location of Hoki's Teriyaki Hut and before that some other more mysterious business. I don't actually recall what filled this void before, but I vaguely remember people slipping in under the cover of night and imagining it was something more covert and dangerous, like a Masonic Temple. Or possibly the Republican headquarters for the city of Seattle. Regardless, the newest occupant of this transitional building is Alberona's. Their advertisement proclaims that they serve Greek and Italian foods and appears to be dominated by pizza, calzones and pasta. So while passing along the neighborhood and seeing the sign that they sell pizza by the slice, I felt it was worthy of further investigation. Ruefully, they only sell pizza by the slice during the week and this was on the weekend. It was explained to me that they only get that type of foot traffic during the week as the local workers stop by during lunch (by the slice is only between 11 am and 2:30 pm). However, a perusal of the menu revealed that they have a two-topping 7" mini pizza that goes for the relatively affordable price of $4.19. This pepperoni and onion festooned delicacy was quickly served up and allowed a few minutes conversation with the friendly staff. The pizza is a little doughy and soft with easily edible and chewy crust. Toppings are somewhat dominated by the cheese with large, but thin pepperoni slabs. With a mouth full of toppings punctuated with the faint aroma of onion, the staff informed me that their regular pizzas range between 10" and 15". Although price wasn't part of our discussion, the menu proclaims that they range between $10 (small) and $20 (large) with free delivery. The inside is somewhat humble with a few small tables disclosing its' take-out orientation. With the friendly staff slinging respectable pizza, I can't help but hope that they fare better than the less-lamented Hoki's Teriyaki Hut. Or the Republican party in Seattle, for that matter.

This place recently changed ownership and the quality of food and service has plummeted with that change. I used to think this place was a solid take-out place. They had great pizza, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and sandwiches. The food we just ordered was TERRIBLE. The mozzarella sticks were frozen sticks that they didn't even bother to fry-they microwaved them! So they came pale with freezer burn and looked raw! I couldn't believe they would even serve this. The rest of the food was also inedible with a strong freezer burn taste. In addition to the terrible food, they got our order wrong AND took another hour to deliver the sandwich they forgot to deliver the first time around. Unbelievable. When I called to complain, the new owner offered to refund my order (at my insistence), but my credit card has yet to be credited. I will NEVER order from this place again.

My friend and I ordered from here via Grub Hub and had a wonderful experience. The service was great (arrived in a timely manner, free delivery, followed instructions), and the portions were very large. The food was not phenomenal, but definitely left us full and satisfied. We ordered bread sticks with a side of marinara, a small pizza, greek salad, tiramisu, and a mud pie. Everything was wonderful! Definitely recommend this place for an affordable and filling meal.

This new Pizza and pasta joint moves in to the building left vacated by Hokis Teriyaki Hut. The menu boasts "Great Greek & Italian Foods." I am not so sure. The menu is standard fare. Apps Pizza Pasta Calzones Sandwiches Salads I'm a simple person so I went with a basic cheese pizza and dinner salad and needless to say I wasn't impressed. A couple of things stand out about my experience. Parking or lack there of. If you ever visited Hoki's you know what I am talking about. Now I know they can't go and make parking but it doesn't lend itself to success if you have to hike. The inside temperature. My intent wasn't to go in for a schvitzing but that's what almost happened. Open a window. The pizza crust, there is just something missing. Oh yeah, it's called flavor. All in all not a place I will return to. The menu says they have another location in Lynnwood.

We got delivery from this place tonight and it was pretty good. Their salad portions are huge, we got a half order of a chop salad and it was enough for us to share for dinner. They have good prices and really friendly people working there. I also ordered spanakopita and it was really good. They have free delivery and it's super fast too!

These guys are amazing. Even though they were really busy on a Saturday night they were able to accommodate a large order. Everyone in our group loved the food, very flavorful and cooked to perfection! Will definitely frequent this place again, not sure it's a good or bad thing that it's only 3 blocks from my place.

It's basically a delivery kitchen with table seating for about 15 with a 85% similar menu to Romio's that's about 85% as good. They do not have their own parking, so it's pretty much hope there's a spot up 39th if you're not walking on that front. If you always wanted a Romio's clone here in Fremont that wasn't off in Greenwood or across the University bridge, this is your place. Trouble with their spot is that they're really on the edge of too far for the Fremont lunch foot commute and as a delivery place they don't really have anything I can tell that super-differentiates them from Romio's (or also Fremont-locally, Tratt Roma). Props to them for giving it a go while the economy falls flat on its face, though. And they did facilitate the removal of Hoki's, which means they can't be /that/ terrible of people.

I don't know why I decided to try Alberona's other than the fact that I was craving marinara sauce and cheap Italian food. I'd driven past this place a million times and thought I'd give it a shot. There was essentially no parking, but we managed to find a spot just up the street in a residential neighborhood. Walking in the door, we didn't expect much. It was a tiny, tidy place with a handful of tables, a flat-screen t.v. on the wall and a self-serve fridge full of drinks. It definitely seemed like more of a take-out type of place than a sit-down restaurant. The place was completely empty (it was however, a rainy Monday night), there were no slices left in the rotating machine on the counter, no food was cooking and the phone was silent. Furthermore, we were surprised to discover two Hispanic gentlemen running the place (it being an Italian/Greek restaurant and all). We picked up a couple of cheaply made menus from the front counter and mulled over our options with some trepidation. I settled on the cheese ravioli and my husband ordered the Thea calzone. While we were waiting, the very friendly fellows behind the counter chatted with us and changed the channel on the TV from a Spanish language channel to an English one (presumably for us?). My ravioli came with a salad, which came out first, as it would in a sit-down restaurant. One of the gentlemen kindly offered to split it for us without us having to ask. It was basic house salad, but large and loaded with fresh veggies. We cleaned our plate. Then came the ravioli. Wow. I've never had such a robust marinara before. It was dark and flavorful, loaded with strips of onions (which were not overwhelming - I don't always like onions), mushrooms (which I don't even like!) and plentiful chunks of fresh parmesan cheese. It was positively delicious and I ate every bite, even the mushroom bits. My plate was framed by two perfectly browned pieces of garlic bread, which had just the right amount of garlic - I didn't feel like I'd have to scrub down my tongue afterwards. The only bad thing I could say about their ravioli is that it was a little bit too al dente for my taste and could have stood just a little more cooking. But honestly, with a sauce THAT good I would have happily eaten chunks of cardboard. Plus it only cost $10.99. My husband's calzone came out looking like a picture in a cookbook and was practically the size of a football. It came with a simple little side salad. The calzone was so pretty I actually - no joke - wanted to take a picture of it. The crust was soft, buttery and filled with cheese along the edges. It was practically overstuffed with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes. The pesto was spread thick. Not bad for $8.25, especially since it was only possible to eat half of it in one sitting. I felt like I was looking at a dish from Man vs. Food. After we finished, I sat back waiting for the check. My husband had to remind me that we'd paid up front. The food was of such high quality I had forgotten we weren't in a sit-down restaurant! I truly hope this review helps these gentlemen out. Their place doesn't look like much, but it is very clean and the food is deceivingly high-quality and inexpensive. They have a large menu, though it weighs much more heavily on the Italian side rather than the Greek. And the take-out atmosphere becomes cozy when you have two friendly gentlemen preparing food for you as if you were in their kitchen at home. I enthusiastically recommend this place!

I work close by so I've ordered many times from here from this place. Fast service, great food, they know me when I come in to pick up, and are always friendly! I love how much food you get for the price..this place is awesome! Their pizza and cheese sticks with marinara sauce are amaaaaazing. Cheesy yumminess...get some and share with a friend because they make a lot of food! ....or you can just eat alone and have left overs for days!

I love this place. I like to stop there on my way to work and grab a 7 inch 2 topping pizza for $4.00. I don't know what they do to that dough but it is soooooo good and the sauce as well. Tried the Chef's Special sanwich the other day 14 inches long and loaded, I can only eat 1/4 at a time again very very good. The owner is very nice and always gives me a deal with the leftover lunch special slices if there is any left. Will go again again,

I can't say anything for their food because I will never try it but if you're walking past this place WATCH OUT! The delivery drivers don't know how to drive and one almost backed completely over my boyfriend as we were walking past there tonight! The guy didn't even notice and wasn't going to even stop if I hadn't been waving at him like a mad woman trying to get him to stop backing up! When I got him to stop he just looked at me, opened a window a crack and said 'oh, sorry, so sorry' and drove off. I hope their pizza is good enough to save them because their employees suck!

I just ate a lunch special there today. 2 slices + drink for $5.40. Awesome deal. The place was busy and the chefs were busting-ass just keeping the slice pies up. But they still had time to spark up conversation w/me about my westfalia camper. Nice and friendly service. The slices were very good. Nice portions and the sauce was authentic, the slices were hot from the oven. Good luck, guys! I know this is a newer place trying something risky in a recession. I wish them the best.

A good alternative to the other higher priced pizza delivery joints in Fremont. Plus the guy that owns the place often delivers himself, and he's super nice. Similar pies to Romios. Good sauce, cheese, toppings are decent. Worth a try.

Ok ok, I tried it again. It's not bad. Better review this time. Their Chopped Salad is like Pagliacci's Pagliaccio salad... its good though... a nice home-style version I guess.

I was paper writing, feeling lazy, and ordered a small bbq chicken pizza as well as half a village salad through Eat 24 Hours. Delivery was timely, delivery guy was friendly and walked to my apartment, I believe, since I live so nearby. The pizza was piping hot and the salad was generously sized. I can only imagine what a "full size" looks like. I would have liked more bbq sauce on the pizza, but that may just be a matter of personal taste. Would I order again? Heck yes! And I'd ask for them to put on extra bbq sauce, 'cause it's what I (and not the general public necessarily speaking) like!

This is one of the only pizza places in Fremont that delivers during lunch time; I had a desperate craving, so I went for it. The quality was decent, lots of regular mozzarella cheese, but I would say that they are overpriced for the size and flavor of their pies. If you are looking for thin crust, a variety of high quality ingredients and a more authentic Italian experience, this is not the place.

Love this place. Best pizza ever. Cheesy and delicious. People who demand a brilliant ambience and write their reviews that way are giving this place a bad name. It's the best little hole in the wall pizza place you'll find in a long time.

This place was great for a quick pizza pick me up. We called having no menu and the man taking our order was very helpful. Nothing outrageous or too fancy but equal to or better than Romios for much cheaper. Family run and rather new to my neighborhood, I will definitley order for them everytime I need pizza.

i was feeling hungry (and lazy) and always in the mood to try something new, i searched yelp for some new/different delivery options in my neighborhood. i discovered that the scary little shack that used to be hoki's teriyaki (probably the worst thing i've ever eaten) was now an italian place. i clicked on their website (right from this yelp page) and while it claims to be for the lynnwood location i assumed it would work for the fremont location as well. and it did, sort of. i ordered the artichoke calzone, which appears on the menu twice with 2 different names, but since it was the only calzone with artichokes i thought i knew what i was getting. um, wrong. maybe they were out of everything that night or the cook was feeling creative, but the only ingredient that was listed on the menu that showed up in my calzone was artichokes. i'm not fussy, but the massive amount of raw white onions, feta cheese, and handful of green peppers were a not entirely welcome surprise. however, on the positive side, they are a little cheaper than the competitors, it tasted about the same as other places (except for those raw onions) and they were super speedy with the delivery. next time i'm starving, homebound and in the mood for a surprise i might try it again. i like to live dangerously.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again.
