I am a real fan of this place and it is sad that I don't visit it more often. Good tap list and good whiskey! They also seem to have good mixed drinks, but I haven't had them here. The ambience is also a big plus about this place. I really like the layout of this bar. I keep coming here when they have happy hour but am not hungry for food. More of a reason for me to keep coming back. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

Wow, this place is amazing. Haven't been since it was the Triangle and talk about improvement. I had the Black Bean Burger and was licking my fingers. Ate every bite because the flavors were spot on. Even the bun was perfect. I drank a D.B. Cooper and Sazarac. I was impressed with the quality of the cocktails and the detailed preparation of them. Loved the different areas, very intimate. The patios were gorgeous. What you would image as the perfect movie date restaurant in the summer. I will be back for sure!!

9 Million In Unmarked Bills is a great little bar in Fremont. Friendly service. Great selection of liquor. Slightly awkward space, flowing in a bit of a scalene triangle pattern inside. Typically, there is a good DJ playing. Last time I was there the DJ was a fat older guy with a mullet who was playing old school hip-hop. It was outstanding. Even an 85+ year-old woman was jamming out to it. 9 Million In Unmarked Bills is a solid spot. I need to go back and try the food.

Great location, good menu, well-made drinks, nice vibe - this place has a lot going for it. That's why it always surprises me that they don't seem to hire experienced servers who know how to work a floor. The money here is probably good, you can find good servers, 9 Mil! Please do that! As a longtime server myself, it's literally painful to watch the service here, and it seems to be a consistent problem. I was here two days ago and briefly considered actually walking out without paying because I asked three times to close out with absolutely no result. It was bordering on bizarre. A little training and decently hiring would do this place a ton of good. I'll keep coming back for the Old Fashions and yummy appetizers....for now.

Food was decent but nothing special. Long wait for drinks, inattentive wait staff and not very friendly to boot. Overall very disappointing.

They did a great job accommodating the throngs at the Solstice Parade. I tried to "check in" then but yelp was overwhelmed (or maybe it was Sprint I dunno). We have also been there a few warm weekends last summer and really enjoyed it. Plus, the name....

Let's set aside the fact that this may be the most over-priced happy hour in Seattle. Really, if you are seeking to spend $5-$7 to wait nearly an hour for four crouton-sized pieces of bread topped with dry chopped tomato to appear at your table, this is your spot. A heads up for everyone else: The food at 9 Million in Unmarked Bills is unremarkable, the half-hearted attempts by servers to make it right are even more feeble. This place deserves one star because it has outdoor seating. And on occasion, sitting in the sun, washing down subpar food with overpriced beer next to a neat DIY rustic wood planter is not the worst way to spend a July evening in Fremont.

This is my favorite spot for a first date. Excellent cocktails, including the best old fashioned in town. The interesting design of the building is fun for small groups too!

Wait staff was young and inexperienced - long wait for food, steak was over cooked. Cool decor, building and location though. Opportunities for improvement: a little more frequent check ins, updates on food order when there will be a long wait, cook food according to order, and suggestions for what is interesting or special at this particular restaurant. Not sure I'll be back.

Great food and service and the staff is super friendly! Love the decor with all the mason jars and hand painted sign work. The bartenders make some delish cocktails involving some Champagne and St. Germaine....yum!

I am sorry that for no reason my friend got kicked out. The window opened between the outside and inside and apparently that's grounds to be removed from the bar. Then preceded to be rude to me and say rude things. "M" kicked him out and then refused to give me the owners name. In fact repeatedly were rude and mocked me. I am more concerned of the door guy, he does not look good for your business. Figure it out you aren't that busy to where you don't need other patrons.

I take back some of what I said in my original review. When i wrote that, I entered this place thinking it was a full scale restaurant. Well it is, but I think it's intended more for drinks and the food is supposed to be bar food. But high scale bar food. I went back some months ago and was very impressed with the seasonal menu. They had stuff like tofu pillows and very well crafted ginger sauces. After going the second time, I was able to see the artistic ability of the chefs here. This is a great place to stop by for drinks with a friend or a date and grab some interesting snacks. I still took off one star simply bc I wish they would include some lower priced options. But still an interesting, unique, quintessentially Seattle establishment and I will be back.

Whiskey galore! And I drank beer anyways. They had a bunch of open tables that were all "reserved" so we had to sit in a back corner. I've never heard of reserving a table at a bar... but I guess I should try it next time I want to come here! We had some food as well - split a pizza and also some fried shrimp. Food was ok, nothing that great. Experience was fine though - seems like a good place.

Meh. I thought a whiskey bar in Fremont would somehow be a heck of a lot more fun. The decor and atmosphere at 9 Million in Unmarked Bills is atmospheric, but it does feel a little dated. I get the feeling this place was really something special, with its clever art direction and lots of love and thought put into it, but lately its been slumping down into being more Calamity Jane and wagon wheel than originally envisioned. I had a cocktail called a DB Cooper with whiskey, ginger and egg white cocktail, kind of a fizz I think, and while it sounded potentially great (I love a good ginger infused simple syrup) the actual drink they poured was actually a combination of too boozy and too watery (huh?) minus the ginger. Drat. Others were eating nearby, but food did not look particularly inspiring. We stuck to our cocktails having just enjoyed a fantastic dinner round the corner at the wonderful Revel. Still, a fine place. Just not the rodeo I was hoping for.

My new favorite happy hour! Lots of great choices for $5. I tried the truffle Mac n Cheese and also the Caprese Tower, both were delishious and my tower looked so cool I had the hardest time eating it, cause I didn't want to destroy the food art that the chef had created. Well drinks are $1 off during happy hour, so my rum n coke came out to almost $5. I should have just ordered the mint julep for $5 had I known they'd be about the same price. Bathrooms are still as cramped as when this bar was The Triangle. Was hoping that had been updated. Service was pretty good considering how busy this place was. Also, make sure to look up at the lights. They did some pretty neat stuff in various parts of the bar.

Fun, loud gastropub - party music on the weekends, good DJ. Has a solid drink list - had a delicious Last Word and they also make Blood & Sand. Great crowd - will be back!

Stumbled upon this spot while thrifting in the area. Tons of metered street parking. Very nice whiskey bar with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, it was a beautiful day to people watch and take in the scenery. I ordered an old fashioned, my friend ordered whiskey and ginger ale, the waiter suggested the Bloody Bonnie for my GF. We had an overall great experience! My whiskey was nice and strong, but had some kind of pulp in it. Which was a bit strange. We were too early for happy hour, but at least they had a restroom.

This time I sat on the other side of the restaurant and to my pleasant surprise there was another bar! With a great drink menu including one that was a pint of PBR with a shot of whiskey on the side. I got a double vodka soda water with lime, which kept me happy for the entire time I was there, and got the five alarm burger with the BEST fries and aioli...well, who are we kididng? One of the best truffle fries. I also really like the truffle fries at BOKA and Friday Harbor House :) I love the lighting, comfy seating, and happy hour & regular food menus. Though the food menu was a wee bit on the pricey side. Also tried a bite of the tempura brussel sprouts and tofu pillows - also yummy.

Great beer, good bites (get the kale, good burger). Not much of a happy hour discount. Save maybe 2-3 dollars.

This was our fourth and final stop all in Fremont today. My gf and I decided to come here after Brouwer's Cafe to continue our time of happy hour since the happy hour here ends at 7 o'clock. We decided to order some food during happy hour which consisted of tempura brussel spouts, tofu pillows and white wine sauced clams. They were all very good and just the right amount of portions for our HH time. The happy hour menu consists of mostly vegetarian selections, but you can order from the regular menu to choose different menu items which are not all vegetarian. Overall a decent place to visit with the candlelight tables and a fair, but small selection to choose your drinks from. I guess I was quite surprised they didn't have much of a drink menu selection for a place where they have HH each day. They did have a big bar area, but those were not on the HH menu selection.

The first time I came here (over a year ago), I didn't like it at all. So every time someone's suggested coming back, I've said no -- until this past week, when my fiancé dragged me here... Boy, was I wrong!!!!!! I can't exactly put a finger on what changed, but 9 Million In Unmarked Bills ROCKS! The food is great. Happy hour prices are a steal, and lasts until 7pm. They are now one of my new favourites. The calamari (sautéed) was the most flavourful, but everything else we had tasted great! Good ambiance also.

Let me tell you, the last couple of times I have been to 9 mil, the service has been great and the drinks have been awesome. That all changed the night of the 12th of July. The waitress was super slow, and it took us 30 minutes to get our drinks. Once we got our drinks, the drinks were horribly made. My old fashioned did not taste like the old fashioned that I'm used to, and my friend's drinks were also quite horrible. After we got our drinks, the waitress never came back to see if we needed anything else. It was not busy at 930PM at night, there were a few tables but nothing crazy. Once we relocated back inside to the bar, the waitress came over and gave us crap from moving indoors. That's when I ordered another Pacifico. She came back 3 times to ask if I ordered 2 Pacificos or 1, and she didn't even ask me, she asked another person in our group. She then proceeds to get a Pacifico and gives it to the wrong person... How hard is it to get it right? Again, it was not slamming at the time we were there. We pay our bills, and hence I tip on service, and the service was POOR. My friend asks for a glass of water, and the waitress has the audacity to say, "Since you are tipping me on my service, your water is there." And points to a water cup that had been left by the previous party. In addition, she never came back with change, and when we ask for our change back she said she brought it back and it was on the table.... It wasn't on the table. A few minutes later she then goes to tell us its time to go. Well, I will never be setting foot in this bar again. The service was terrible, and the drinks were terrible.

This is my favorite bar in Fremont. Awesome drinks, awesome food, awesome bartenders, awesome music. If your going to drown your sorrows, have some dignity and do it with a proper whiskey and some Motown hits. This bar affords you that dignity in spades. My only complaint is that things can get a bit pricey. They still get away with it though.

  • Adam B.

Overpriced food menu, out of key menu items on a Friday night and SLOW. To make matters worse, they are a whiskey joint and their signature cocktails are full of super sweet additions. Boo. Was really hoping for more from this place - hopefully they turn a leaf and focus on service and quality vs price.

I visited 9 Million for some whiskey. They have a decent selection of drinks but I expected more from a place that prides themselves on spirits. Maybe I'm still not used to Seattle prices, so it seems like I paid a small fortune for a minimal pour of a mid-range beverage. The exact drink is half as cheap at other bars in the Seattle area. Only a happy hour would make me return here.

Love this bar and the staff is so nice!!! they have great food and happy hour! there is indoor and outdoor seating which is so nice during warm days. This bar is just about in the middle of Fremont so theres a lot of other activities to do!

In a moment of desperation, having struck out on a busy Friday night to find a place that wasn't packed, we squeaked in to a table here. We don't hit Fremont often anymore, and were disheartened by not being able to find someplace that a) was screamingly appealing, and b) had some space open. (Also, Fremont bars - if you have food, post your menus in the window, please!) Decor, ambiance, everything is fine there, in the hipster-rustic vein. They have a great whiskey selection, but I didn't get a feeling that the staff knew or cared about it. If you want to stop in, sit at the bar, and get a beer and a straight drink, you'll be fine here. If you want a fabulous dining and drinking experience, skip this overpriced house of blah. Our server, we'll call her "Mumbles" was about as placid and neutral as they come. She came over, asked if we needed a minute to decide on food, then walked off without taking our drink orders. The menu is okay, but doesn't offer a lot of options - some small plates, "pizza", or some burgers and sandwiches. We ordered a pizza, the pecan-crusted pork bites, and the truffle fries. The fries were fine, if you like truffle oil. Personally, I think it's overkill on a french fry, but I was starving and had a night of drinking in front of me, so I wanted starch. The pork bites said "pecan crusted"...if those were pecans, they managed to suck all the rich, sweet goodness out of them, they just tasted like...nothing. The pork itself was bland and under-seasoned, alternating between pieces that were fine and pieces that were overcooked; the "bourbon mustard" tasted like...mustard. Pizza was flat dough with cheese and sausage - nothing to write anywhere about. The biggest crime, aside from ruining pecans in the pork dish, was the completely blah drink I had. Whiskey-based, with citrus, lemongrass, and an egg white, it tasted like thick water. You could barely taste the whiskey, and I would have been smarter to just order a straight whiskey, but it was Friday and I wanted a treat. Also, one other pet peeve - please bring a coaster or a cocktail napkin with my drink, especially on a glass-topped table. And not that the bar has any control over this, but the table full of women next to us, shrieking at each other at the top of their lungs, didn't add anything to the vibe (and ladies, stories about your farting clients...just keep them to yourselves, or for the love of god lower your squawking voices). They were so loud, I actually put one of my concert earplugs in to block them out.

By now, I figured every bartender knew that ice is the difference between serving a brisk, full-flavored cocktail and serving a watery meh mess. The service was good, we had terrible pizza and perfectly fine calamari, but to my mind, watery cocktails are a waste of good liquor.

I used to work across the street from 9 Mill, but that was after I visited this place for the first time. I went with a large group of friends, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. They gave us the booth off to the side, rather than cram us in the bar. The food was delicious, and the drinks superb. I went in a couple times after the initial visit for a quick drink, and the bartenders were always knowledgeable and friendly. I'm a sucker for whiskey, so 9 Mill was a temptation across the street. I always worked the nights they had karaoke, but despite it sounding overly loud, it seemed like everyone was having a good time.

This place is great! I love the cozy, slightly rustic, atmosphere. The drinks are always delicious, and happy hour from 4-7pm daily can't be beat! The food sometimes rotates on the menu, but there's always a good variety, and plenty of options. On my most recent visit, I tried the artichoke tots, which were incredible! What a brilliant idea! This is my go-to fremont bar. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.

There are places that try to be "Western" themed, and it's just pretentious and annoying. This place, however, pulls it off. It's comfortable, low key, and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Major bonus: Whiskey flights! Flights of whiskey? Sold! I didn't eat anything when I was there last time, but the menu looks decent. Flights of whiskey, next time, with food.

First time visit after leaving a local snobby restaurant that were going to kill me for a simple pour of decent scotch.... Bartender gave me a great free pour - sort of forgot the water and ice - but hey - who's counting. Price was not unreasonable. The scotch selection was the best I have seen other than the couple of local scotch bars around. I will definitely be back - hope to get the same quality pour and try some of the food to see how it matches up.

This place is pretty good. I was first interested in this place when I saw how many of their dishes contain truffle oil! It's a lot. They have pretty good mac n' cheese, and pretty good sliders. They also have a whiskey bar which is good, and the bartenders seem very knowledgeable. They also start playing some bumpin music at around 9 on the weekends. I also like their happy hour. I'll definitely go to this place again.

Despite the incredibly long name, the place is pretty cool. The decor is nice and it is a good compliment to the Ballroom down the street. We stopped in there for drinks only so I do not know what the food is like. There was a decent selection of beers and wines by the glass so we were happy.

Everything about this was perfect. Found it by accident, thought need have a quick drink. We stayed for 2 hours, tried the lamb sliders, broccoli and kale(OMG it was good) and truffle fries. Everything was great. Amazing whiskey and bourbon selection, great happy hour prices, friendly staff. Go.

Loved this place and never realized it existed! I guess I don't come to Fremont all that often but now that I know about this bar, I have a reason to come back! Not only is the name bad ass, but the whole place is pretty sweet as well. My husband and I grabbed some seats at the bar and ordered ourselves a drink while we waited for our friends to meet up with us. The bartender was friendly and informative when we asked questions. It was a gorgeous sunny day so the windows and doors were open so the place was very airy and bright. They have tons of different drinks to choose from and a good selection of vodka. I was a little hungry so I ordered the caprese salad which is one of my favorites. I asked them to leave off the pesto due to a food allergy and they were more than happy to accommodate me. The salad was delicious and had an awesome balsamic reduction on it. I was in heaven. Their happy hour prices and food items can't be beat. We had a really good time and will definitely be back.

This is a great place for Happy Hour. They have delicious food for the happy hour as well as good drinks. On weekend nights they place can be a little packed, but if you get there a little earlier to eat you can snag a table. The tables by the bar can be a little awkward with a larger group because they are booth styles but seem a little bit more narrower than other half circle booths. If you're looking for a nice place to go out with friends in Fremont on thurs/fri/sat nights, this is the place to go!

  • Victoria C.

I'd only come here for happy hour. The prices for happy hour food are great. My bf and I shared the margherita pizza (NOT on the HH menu) for $14, as well as the truffle mac and cheese and grilled caesar salad, each only $5 for HH. The pizza was underwhelming. The way I know margherita, it has a red sauce with patches of mozzarella, topped with basil and perhaps tomato. THIS pizza was a soggy, white sauced covered pizza. Kinda weird. Kinda bland. But the mac and cheese and salad were both delicious! And super cheap for happy hour! Tip: Don't sit in the corner at the barrel table. The surface is WAY too small for your drinks, water carafe, and food.

The truffle fries were great, but the wasabi grilled cheese was pretty average. The happy hour menu had a great selection and the service was really quick. A big plus for a great location and outside seating.

What I Expected: - snotty attitudes - pretentious people OR - more hipsters than I knew what to do with OR - a seriously scary dive in the middle of Fremont. What I Got: - phenomenally cozy atmosphere, with awesome lighting and decor - wonderful bartenders - awesome, knowledgeable owners - a fun mix of all kinds of people, in an environment that doesn't reek of one particular "genre" or another - damn good scotch - a lovely time Win, 9 Million, win.

Just a drizzly, dark, nearly-winter afternoon, sitting writing a few Christmas cards and sipping a drink, ever so often briefly chatting with someone else. Sounds like a nice night in. Except I was out. When it comes to bars, I'm a very picky girl. And although I love several bars for several distinct reasons, I have a special place in my heart for any bar where I can relax solo, without being either ignored or chatted up. This is that kind of bar. A long list of specialty drinks on a big chalkboard, a friendly informal Fremont feel, and a couple of welcoming bartenders who checked in at all the right times. I'm not a big mixed drink aficionado, but mine was tasty and spicy: vodka, bitters, lemon, a cinnamon stick, among other ingredients. Perfect for a chill evening! I felt right at home, as evidenced by my spreading out letter-pressed cards on the bar and getting to prose work. Since I usually prefer beer or wine over a cocktail (and none of the beers or wines on offer were ones I love to drink) if I'm in the mood for those I'll probably go elsewhere. But with some time to burn, especially if I'm on my own, I'll certainly stop back in and maybe try one of the happy hour mojitos.... (Oh, and a big plus to the bartender who skillfully dealt with the less-than-informed diner who wanted to know what kind of lamb would be in a lamb slider....Um, GROUND. But he put it much more nicely than I would have!)

I don't normally like places like 9 Mill in Unmarked Bills...or what used to be The Triangle, b/c it's chock full of frat boys and girls I'd like to choke out. However, on midday Saturday, this bar did us right! The Santas came in off the streets of Fremont and ordered many a drink and some food as well and every single one of the servers were a) charming, b) lightning quick to make sure we were taken care of, and c) courteous! Who knew? I sure didn't! They also pour a great bloody mary, which is HUGE in my book, PLUS let us play Santa twister! Wow. WOW. So thank you, 9-Million-in-Unmarked-Bills-longest-name-ever-for-a-bar-in-Fremont, from the deepest cockles of this Santa's heart. You have a somewhat of a fan.

My husband and I recently visited Seattle and went here for drinks (and stayed for dinner). It was a little pricey, but all our food was excellent. The drinks were good. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. And we really liked the can of misc. trivia cards on the table.

After walking around Fremont with Darshan R. and Meli D., we needed some sustenance and came upon this place. Luckily it was happy hour so we took advantage. It was a nice looking place and felt laid back. We played Trivial Pursuit while eating $5 appetizers and drank some cold brews. The White Truffle Fries we shared came in a huge platter that we had trouble finishing it. Was it worth $5 though? Maybe... I'm not a fan of steak fries but these fries were crisp and crunchy as shoe string fries. Good food + good company = great time. For Bay Area Yelpers visiting Seattle, this place reminds me of The Hob Nob in Alameda.

I love the remodel on this place. The Triangle was lacking the vision of what a bar should be, and the new owners were really successful in creating a fun, cozy, not stuck up, easy on the eyes, good food, and good drink, good location place to hang out any night of the week. After many just cocktail visits we decided to try happy hour the other night. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. The food was reasonably priced as well and pretty much hit the spot. It did take a good 25 minutes for 2 appetizers to come out of the kitchen, but that's alright, we were having a good time drinking our whiskey and watching the snow fall outside. The popcorn shrimp had a fun presentation in an old school style popcorn bag like you would get at the fair. The truffle mac&cheese was pretty good but lacking any real truffle flavor, and the cheese sauce was a bit grainy. I know truffles are expensive, but if you say it's in there, put it in! Always have great time and glad this bar is where it is! We will be back soon!!!!

I've actually been here twice, but the first time was just to chill with some other Yelpers. I came here again the other night after a friends show ended early, due to my friends gf's recommendation. The menu, overall, looked pretty good. I wanted to try the truffle oil mac & cheese but opted for the kobe burger w/bacon instead. I ordered the burger medium, but it came out medium rare, which is still fine by me. The burger itself was pretty tasty and filling, not a small burger by any means, which most "kobe" burgers can end up being. Oh, and the fries. If you call it "parmesan truffle fries", my expectations are gonna be raised. And... they kinda fell flat. Inconsistent, at least. Some of the fries were delicious, and some were just plain. I think they cut their fries too thick overall, esp for the type of fries they are. Good thing they supplied a good helping of chipotle dipping sauce for them. And all this for $12.. Not bad!

This place is pretty good. We went for drinks and desert. It is a little expensive, but all the staff was nice, the drinks and desert were tasty, and the bartender looks like captain jack sparrow which really took my experience to the next level. We mostly just watched him walk around. The only thing he lacked was a cutlass and a bunch of skeleton pirates to fight. I would go back.

After several awesome occasions at this bar, I draw the line at carelessly endangering the life of a patron. While this may seem like a dramatic statement, anyone with a food allergy will think not. Upon ordering, I inquired after the broccoli and kale offered at HH. The bartender waiter guy explained the taste as bitter, similar to asparagus or arugula. I checked how it was prepared on the main menu and it listed simply "Garlic and Pine Nuts." Therefore, I ordered it. When I received the dish after watching it sit on their ready counter (they had issues with their computers that night so I won't fault them much there) for a bit, we finally received our food. I took a bite and was shocked at how spicy it seemed, so I had my friend taste test for peppers as I'm acutely allergic. I asked the waiter how it was prepared and he shook a shaker (like you find at pizza places) at me saying that's all the pepper that was involved in the dishes creation. I let him know "OK - are you positive? I'm really allergic to peppers so if there were any bell peppers involved in the prep then I can't eat this." And he assured me everything was dandy, and all it was was flakes. Flakes are fine for me as the dehydration process in making them flakes, kills/denatures the enzyme causing the allergic reaction which in my case equals puffy swollen lips, tongue and lips enfeugo with itchiness and discomfort and the occasional throat closure. Awesome, yes? After a few more bites I push my plate away as I'm not feeling so good. That's when the waiter comes back around and checks on us and ONLY THEN STATES "Oh ya, these were made with peppers. They marinate together and are cooked together in the pan." HELLO IDIOT!!! In my stunned state I could hardly utter words. My friend shouts at him "Um hello! She's ALLERGIC!" And all he did was shrug his shoulders. I was baffled. Not only was this information delivered about 10 minutes too late, but it was also delivered in the most careless manner I could have ever imagined. If I were in his place I would apologize profusely, take the patrons plate away and replace it with whatever else they wanted that was pepper free and comp everything they consumed that night. Shrugging shoulders is NOT appropriate. In a daze we asked for the check, where I was STILL CHARGED FOR THE FOOD that was beginning to unsettle in my stomach, as I continued to scratch my lips and dig through my purse for benadryl. No tip from 2 checks later we were high tailing it home to my epi pen. As I type I'm still stunned. Usually, someone would have gotten some strong words thrown at them but in my disbelief and as my system was fighting anaphylactic shock I just sat there, mouth gapping, and not in the mood to make a scene. I'm shocked that the peppers in this meal were not mentioned anywhere as it is the dominant flavor. If you have these cute tiny words under your menu items that detail what your food should taste like, perhaps edit them and make them ACCURATE! Ordering garlic and pine nuts is not even remotely close to $^it laced in bell peppers!!! Mgmt: Perhaps it's time to train your staff to respectful of peoples food allergies, whether they personally believe a patron to have them or not; being callous about it is rude and frankly dangerous and a risk to you as a business owner.

First evening in Seattle and our hotel recommended going to Fremont area, loved it! Happened upon 9 Million Dollars and so glad we did. The reception person - a guy - was amazing and directed us to the bar for our not too long wait saying he would find us there when our table was available. He did! How does he remember everyone? No loud calling out, just a pleasant whisper that your table is ready. Amazing. We had the Tomato Basil soup which was just a bit spicy and wonderful. Also the tempura brussel sprouts with the lovely sauce that were quite good. A warm and welcoming feel as you walk in with crazy 50's movies in the bar and an amazing play list going that will capture your attention in the best way. The whiskeys look like an compelling collection and would love to try them all! Enjoy repeatedly!

Great happy hour! A bunch of deliciousness for only $5? Oh hell yeah. We had the truffle fries, calamari, mac and cheese, sliders, and I think that's it... I also tried my first mint julep. Not a fan as it turns out, but that's ok because it's still a bar and I can get my drank on regardless of my opinion of mint juleps. All the food was excellent and the service was super. I liked the ambiance too! The little baskets with convo starters was awesome and the dj was a nice touch too!

Admittedly, my expectations were elevated by the "Vegetarian Friendly" proclamation on the front door. Over a third of the items are designated vegetarian on the menu by handy little asterisks. They also offer a vegetarian meatloaf (their own recipe apparently), which oddly enough isn't identified by an asterisk. Even with all of these menu options, our server had no problem with us asking for any of the four non-asterisked burgers (Havarti Cheese, Fire Alarm, Ranch, and BBQ Whiskey) to be made with a black bean patty. This is easy, as we were told, because the difference in the burgers is simply the sauce. So far so great! Great... that is until the food arrived. There wasn't anything on the burger I couldn't get in a trip to Safeway at a fraction at the price. What showed up was a MorningStar Farms® Chipotle Black Bean Burger topped with MorningStar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips, a slice of Havarti cheese, and an absolutely miniscule amount of sauce (probably also purchased at Safeway). When I say a "miniscule" amount of sauce, this is not hyperbole. We honestly couldn't tell the difference between the burgers we had ordered without lifting the bun and looking for color. On the side was a small leaf of lettuce, two slabs of tomato, and a thin slice of red onions. I appreciate having a menu with so many options, but I expect more from a "vegetarian friendly" restaurant than a bunch of asterisks on the menu. Reposted in part from seattleveggieburgers.com

No. This place sucks. Worst, slowest service ever. Menu is boring beyond belief, and the prices are too damn high. Yes, we tried to cram a lot of people at one table, but that means your waitstaff should come over MORE, not less. It's not like the place was crowded or anything, the waitstaff would literally look at us, and walk away, even if we were calling to them because we needed extra water or something like that. A miserable experience and I would never ever come back.

Awesome happy hour. $5 mint juleps, $6 popcorn shrimp. Presentation of popcorn shrimp is in a popcorn bag and can be a bit deceiving on the portion size but they're really good. The drinks are strong and service is prompt and friendly. They also have a pretty good signature cocktail list including a tasty framboise/champagne/strawberry concoction.

What a turn around. It's always valuable to experience a place more than once to really get a feel for it. I think a lot of business owners might express frustration with reviews because a lot of times people are basing opinions off of one night, one experience, one meal, etc. And you know what? I apologize, 9 Million. I did that to you and I was wrong. I've come here 3 times now and each time I like this bar more and more. Recently I came with a group of friends and even though the name of the bar was the same, the vibe wasn't. As a fan of a good cocktail, I was stoked to see a HUGE cocktail menu sign featuring specialty drinks that were totally in tune with what I like to drink. I'm a whisky fan and an even bigger fan of prohibition era cocktails. It's awesome when I spot a drink I want, and then another, and another... it forces me to make a decision and I either opt for one and pick a second one to try later, or I say "screw it!" and my wallet and liver pay for that poor decision later. I'd suggest coming here with a good sized group and convincing everyone to order something different. That way you won't get wasted but you can till taste some really great drinks and get and eye for what you'll order when you come back. Because you will come back! The food was also lovely. More than just a bar to have a great drink in, you can hang out here and enjoy a meal. I'd suggest that if you're more of a low key person, come here earlier or on a week night. If you want to see a PACKED house and have a great, loud time, this is the bar to visit on a Fri-Sat night.

Welcome to Northwest laid-back chic: Plenty of seating and hug plush booths, its rustic cabin nostalgia will make you feel superior cozy. But don't expect anything swankier, cause come'on this bar is in Fremont. The name is cool, I liked the quirky Prescriptions neon sign above all the alcohol, and the happy hour is a killer: most items are under $3 bucks. -Truffle fries: HUGE plateful! It could feed at least 4 people certainly. Nothing amazing but not bad either. -Caprese salad; for $7 I think you can load up on more than just two uber small layers of tomato n' mozzarella. -Truffle Mac n' Cheese: This was a hard one to stay away from. I'm normally not a pasta eater but put truffle oil in it with lots of cheese and optional siriacha to boot - YUM! For a Sunday night the place was neither dead nor lively. They have these mini buckets on each table should your conversation start to lack - then you can whip one of the many easy trivia cards.

Their kale is awesome. Yep, I said it. I get it every time I come here. The burgers are top-notch, too. This also happens to be where I first encountered and fell in love with Woodinville Whiskey, so it will forever hold a special place in my heart. But the name... Now that I love this place, I think the name is fun and ridiculous-in-a-good-way. But before I visited I felt like the name was trying a little too hard. For what I'm not sure, but it kind of turned me off. The staff is great, always friendly. The atmosphere is hip, rustic, and dark, dark, dark. If you're trying to check out your date across the table, good luck. You'll need a flashlight or night vision goggles. (Maybe this is the place to go if you're having an "ugly day.") But the dim lighting doesn't detract from the experience. It's inviting - like pulling your head under the covers or sitting by a fireplace. If you're in Fremont looking for a good meal or a good drink, skip all the dives and clubs (which are wonderful in their own right) and head to 9 Million.

Hmmm. Hmmm. Hmmm. Jury might be out for me on this one. I REALLY love the name of this place and wish I had thought of it to name a room in my house. I showed for happy hour and for 3 people managed to spend $70. Not sure how that all worked but it added up. The veal sliders were good but the truffle fries weren't really that great. I've had better elsewhere. The grilled Caesar salad was good as well as the tofu pillows. If I revisit I'm going to try something off the regular menu.

This place is just okay. Service was not the best and food was forgettable. I think going here for drinks is fine but not if you're wanting dinner.

We wandered in during a Glenfiddich promotion, after we'd tried to go somewhere else in Fremont that wasn't open on Mondays. (cry!) There was free scotch, scotch infused foods (a pasta and a chicken dish), and Theo chocolate from just down the way. We also ordered their regular happy hour stuff, like the white truffle fries and calamari. It was good bar food but nothing outstanding. My drink (I don't like scotch) was tasty and not entirely on the beaten path, though I can't seem to recall what it was called. (It had gin and came in a martini glass.) I would go there again for bar snacks and drinks if I ever found myself in a similar situation, but I wouldn't make a trip to Fremont just for 9 Million.

This place is almost heaven. 1. It's a whiskey bar. HUGE single malt collection, and nice bartenders. 2. Amazing menu, including vegan options, and some of this options were on the happy hour menu. Tofu pillows? Amazing. 3. So many lovely people to look at. This isn't a fancy schmancy place or anything, don't get me wrong. But I was like Country Mouse in the city, marveling at all the pretty young people out with their friends or on dates, everyone nice dressed...Living in a place where the population's mostly 50+ and lives in beanies and dreadlocks, it was nice to see people my age and younger looking hawt.

We decided to mosey in here last night after discovering that Blue Moon was closed for their company holiday party (4 weeks after Christmas... huh). Giving it more of a 3.5 stars rating-- Let's break it down: The Good: Great brick building and location. Lovely, attentive, accommodating waitress. Uncluttered one page menu with a delicious variety of dinner options. Wide array of vegetarian and vegan options, and the flexibility to make other meals veggie friendly where possible. Decent beers on tap; good music playing in the bar section. Overall a great, low lit, "date-y" dining area with comfortable booths for involved conversations. The Bad: Unfortunately our burgers, both subbed with black bean patties, were lacking in condiment flavor which was meant to make them stand out as originals (one the ranch burger, the other the BBQ whiskey). The patties were also your standard frozen variety from the grocery store, when for $13 each you'd hope for at least some sort of restaurant-made effort. Fresh toppings and bun made up for some of the burger's lackings, but overall it just felt as if it could all be done much better. The Ugly: The noise level behind us was pretty ridiculous for about an hour as there was some sort of party of ~20 people in the wrap-around booth in the triangle corner. Things improved greatly after some of the more obnoxious hyena laughers took off. Summary: For my first visit since this space was the Triangle Lounge, I liked it as a whole and think it has a lot of potential for further growth. Noise levels come and go (it is a bar, after all), and meals can be improved upon. The fact that their menu offered so many wonderful sounding veggie options means that I'll be back to try it again. Hopefully they will have made some improvements by then as well.

This place sucks! Initially I liked the atmosphere, but the waitress wasn't friendly and she ignored my table for most of the night. Plus my friends and I were overcharged. Don't waste your time or money.

I really enjoy happy hour here. I've had the grilled Caesar, the truffle mac and cheese, the truffle fries, the tofu triangles, and I've enjoyed all of them. I can't complain about the drinks either. I don't know if this would be my scene for a weekend evening, but for happy hour and weeknight evenings, I've found it to be a nice low-key spot with tasty food.

I've been back to 9 Million a few times since my last review and the experience has been mixed but luckily with more good than bad. I got a chance during a private event to listen to the manager speak about his local collaborations and how he infuses his own vermouth and comes up with cocktails. He's definitely a thoughtful person and a skilled barkeep. The whole staff also dealt with the event very well and brought in great reps from Woodinville Whiskey and Firestone Brewing. The happy hour menu also seems expanded a bit - but it would be great if they set up a late night happy hour too, considering their location. The bad experience involved being overwhelmed by the whiskey menu and asking for a recommendation from a ditzy waitress - the results were not good. The menu now has a painstakingly detailed and, I'm told, thoroughly tested tasting guide for each of their vast, vast offerings.

This was the most embarrassing beginning to a night out in my life. (Sorry, this is probably going to be a bit on the long side, as I want to try and give a fair report.) A handful of my friends and I got together in Fremont this past Friday evening and decided to check out 9 Million since we'd heard that it was a chill place and had an outdoor area (if you'll recall, Friday evening was pretty nice). We ignored the multiple warnings that in approximately an hour (it was about 8PM) the place would turn into 'douchebag central'. At that moment it was nice and so we ordered a pitcher to split between 4 of us, one of the friends ordered a cocktail and we also split an order of fried shrimp, which was pretty yummy. We chatted. We wondered where our waitress had gone since we hadn't seen her in quite some time after someone else brought us the food. We waited some more. She finally came out about an hour later and told us we were cut off. First time in my life (and for anyone in my group) that this has ever happened. And doubly curious, as I normally understand being 'cut off' as a warning that you've obviously had too much. As I stated before, 1 pitcher between 4 people does not a drunk person make. We were honestly incredibly confused and tried to inquire about the reasons for this decision. The bouncer then came out to say it was his decision and that was the end of it. Seeing as how we were in a secluded area of the patio, didn't talk to anyone but the waitress and ourselves and are a genuinely good natured, friendly group, this was mystifying. Some of us had our own conclusions, but the bottom line is that we'll never know why this happened. We went on to explore some other establishments at Fremont and didn't encounter any more problems. 9 Mill, you are dead to me. You embarrassed us for no good reason and you made our friends feel self-conscious. I don't understand. No one needs to be treated that way.

Fun place for drinks and cool atmosphere but wouldn't recommend their plain, overly doughy margherita pizza. Other food items looked appetizing as we eyed them being sent to other tables and their happy hour menu also looks appealing but for now, if we get back to this place it will just be for drinks.

The first time we went, we forgave the shirty service, thinking it was just a bloop. We came in at 9:20 for the 9:00-11:00 happy hour and then got a bill for the full price. When we brought this up, the server didn't believe us and went to check our pos record before changing our bill. Then, we went in at 1:10 am tonight when they closed at 2. They rushed us to order, were super rude and pushy and charged our friends card for everything without being clear about the fact they'd do that. They took our drinks, including water, without explanation or kindness and they threatened to "heard us out like sheep" at 1:48. That is the last time we are going there and would strongly discourage our friends from going.

As far as late night bar time goes, this place is douche-tastic and super crowded. I really don't like Fremont. It keeps proving me right with all of its stereotypes. If you wanna get an STD come here. If you wanna pretend like you're on the Jersey Shore come here. If you want an enjoyable time -- might as well take the 10 minute trip down to Ballard. Saving grace: the ambiance was aight.

I have no clue what the origin of the name is but the drink menu here is top notch. My one issue would be that they are obsessed with bitters but what Seattle bar isn't at the moment. It does have kind of a relaxed atmosphere with nice booths in the back and an open bar area in the front. Drinks are pricey but good quality.

Despite the category, this place does in fact serve non-vegetarian foods! We only came in for appetizers, so a return visit would of course be necessary for the evaluation of a full meal. That being said, what we did order was pretty tasty. The broccoli and kale appetizer was good, if a little oily. Lots f garlic too, so make sure everyone eats some. The Parmesan truffle fries were also tasty, though I didn't taste much of the advertised truffle. Finally the steak bites were tender and juicy and were complimented by a nice sauce and a supposedly "horsie" aioli. I didn't get much horseradish flavor but what can you do. Overall a nice place. Decent atmosphere, a good bar, and a good place to watch the game if you like!

I like! I love the decor. Quaint and vintage. Great happy hour menu, and regular menu definitely has something for everyone. I've been here twice, once for HH a ways back, and for lunch a few weeks ago. Service was prompt and friendly and gracious. Our only complaint were the truffle fries. Three out of four ordered them, no trace of truffle. Balls. But fried potatoes are always still delicious! And my clams were perfect. :)

What a cool space and place. The name alone piques your interest, and inside you'll find a cool, but casual space with tasty apps and some very inventive drinks. The bartenders are SMART about their craft and super friendly too. This is the place to go for whiskey lovers, but don't fear - you've got other great beer and cocktail choices too. I'll definitely have to come back and try out more of the food options and drinks - especially during their happy hour! The space is a bit on the cozy side, but I think you can pull off a fairly good sized group in the bar area.

Confession: Never went in because it seemed pretentious. I know. I know. Reality: The place is really laid back and the people are cool. Intimate with a surprisingly relaxed atmosphere, this place really lights up with the drinks. I heard a talk at a yelp event from Mike, the guy manning the bar, and wow...these guys are mixologists. Their delicious foods are matched by the intricate drinks they offer. Quality and creativity go hand in hand. Hearing some of the stories about how they make some of the flavors alone should be worth making a trip in. So cool.

While it's what I'd consider to be a significant improvement over its former self, I still can't shake the spectre of the Triangle when I'm at $9M. Maybe it's the PRESCRIPTIONS neon (which I'm glad they kept, for the record), or the wonky layout in the triangular space, but upgrades aside it still feels a bit like the Triangle to me. However, with gastropub grub, respectable whiskey selection, and expertly mixed cocktails, it's managing to set itself apart for the hip-and-moderately-affluent set. Most recently, I was in for happy hour and enjoyed the parmesan truffle fries and lamb sliders accompanying a few pints of ale. The service was good, the music was at an appropriate volume for the size of the crowd, and the bill at the end didn't sting too much - all in all, a successful happy hour. But I can't say I am terribly inspired to return anytime soon. It certainly occupies a unique niche in the Fremont scene, but maybe I'm getting too set in my ways because something about $9M just doesn't quite click for me. But that doesn't mean it won't work for you - it's definitely worth checking out for yourself.

Didn't really get to check out the food here. However the drink selection is good and the local whiskey they serve is pretty cool. I also enjoy the atmosphere and decor of this place. Gave you a dive bar/southern/ old school feel. I definitely want to come back to check out their HH menu & food!

The WORST service I have ever experienced!! It was shocking how bad it was....the worst bartender ever. I don't know what this guys problem was, but he had an attitude from the start. The place was pretty dead when we got there, there were 6 of us total. You would think you would be a bit more welcoming when 6 people walk in ready to spend money. We ordered tons of food and a few rounds of drinks and he complained and muffled under his breath every time. It was just weird. It ended when he started cussing at us when we ordered some shots. Fine, you don't want our $50 bucks for that round?? We're outta here!! The only reason I would go back to this place would be to throw something in that bartender's face!

The new name is simply ridiculous! Just call it the Old Triangle Bar like the rest of us do. This review is for Sunday night Karaoke. Awesome fun if you bring the right crowd. And well... I just happen to have the right crowd for nearly every occasion so there's that. I like the decor at the Old Triangle Bar. I sampled some yummy food and was served a delicious cocktail by an equally delicious bartender. I haven't karaoked in... Jesus... I don't know how long. But last night Leonard the Karaoke guy served it up royal at the Old Triangle Bar. WARNING: If you see the next song on the list is going to be Gin & Juice and some vanilla ice wanna be steps to the mic, DO NOT FREAK OUT when he starts to spit the most misogynistic lyrics you've ever heard and disrespects the best MC in the West Coast hip hop scene Cordozar Calvin Broadus a.k.a. Snoop Dogg by bastardizing a classic rap with straight up CRAP! Just shout "YOU SUCK" or "SORRY ABOUT YOUR PENCIL DICK" and put your fingers in your ears until the next song comes on. And please be sure to sing from your seat no matter who is holding the mic.

Karaoke sundays!!! hell yah, i'm game! Went here for my friends 22nd b-day last sunday. i may have also went here during santarchy/santicon....hard to say...it's all a big red blur....i vaguely remember "presciption" neon above the bar...*shrugs* this time quite different. I came here with my friend for her 22nd birthday. during the time i was there i stayed almost completely sober, we got food and my friend acted obnoxious birthday brat. she kept yelling that it was her birthday....and making the karaoke dj announce it over the PA system. it was her birthday...she can do what she wants. the dj obliged, the bartender(who katie made me go ask if he was single...is not...and still left a love not/number for) and waitress were more then nice about it...they gave her a birthday drink and didn't get annoyed...or were really good at hiding it...those people are saints for their accommodations to katie's crazy. i ordered the black bean burger(vegan...no cheese) with a side salad. the burger was some serious nommage. it was HUGE....i ate about a third of it there and the rest of it a few hours later after a house show. katie got a pasta dish which looked amazing(trying it next time if it's vegan compatible). all in all, this place is legit.

The setup of this bar sucks. The main bar isn't bar, but if you happen to make it to the back and it's crowded...good luck getting out. It bottle-necks severly and it's a pain when there a lot of people. The bathrooms are tiny and I think the bartenders are very slow. There are plenty of other bars nearby that you'll probably have more fun at.

I was really into this place, and not just for the whiskey. At one point I just looked around (maybe I was a little high), and found myself fascinated with the light fixtures (classic jars suspended from the ceiling) near the triangular part of the joint facing Fremont Street. I tried the Woodinville whiskey - White Dog - and not knowing what to expect, I found that I enjoyed it. Sharper than smooth, I still liked the taste and was very content sipping at it over conversations with old and new friends. The servers were more than accomodating for our group, and their recommendations were solid. The appetizers: fried tofu, tempura battered brussel sprouts, savory pizza, truffle fries and mac & cheese were fantastic. This cold and damp night was well spent sipping, sampling and relaxing at 9 million in Unmarked Bills. Next I need to figure out, what's up with that name?

I work in Fremont and usually try to get out of there before the Frat party starts. My favorite night is WED they have BINGO. It''s free and you can win free drinks, sometimes they do $1 buy ins depending on how many people are playing you can win a little cash. I've only won free drinks but my friend won $30. Overall it's a great time... good food, good drinks, good entertainment. Awesome way to spend Hump Day =) The name is a little long but I like it. Catchy! Love the booths they are comfy and roomy!

Walk in after doing some browsing in the area... and immediately in love with the vibe here. Awesome decor. It was dead however, guess that's because it was a Thursday afternoon, regardless I liked. Sit at the bar and chat up the witty bartender. 2 Mojitos (yum!) and some Tofu Pillows later, we are in love with this place. HH = one amazing deal! Forget the footlong, spend your $5 on one of the appetizers served up here and have a beer, cocktail, &/or wine with it (all are on special). Even noticed board games in the corner to keep you entertained.

Sunday early evening happy hour, the small plates were really good. Had the tempura Brussels sprouts, caprese salad, and lamb sliders. Good selection of beer and the cocktail I had was decent (DB Cooper). Best part? Two couples with babies were welcome and they had the Sounders game on the TV! :)

I discovered 9 Million In Unmarked Bills when my GF's Dad and I went out for some Whiskey drinking last week. I never heard of this place before but he had and always wanted to try it. This place is amazing! We sat in the bar and the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. They had such a variety of whiskeys and scotch all at a reasonable price. When I saw they had Oregon whiskey, I knew this would not be my last visit to 9Mil. You should check this place out if you like good whiskey and good service.

A sorority fundraiser had the bar packed with lusting co-eds and the guy/girl ratio was so impossibly skewed in the guys' favor that I actually witnessed a girl fight break out over some perceived slight or perhaps just competition for the rare specimen of well groomed man-meat. I don't think much has changed since the Triangle days except the crowd seems younger (or am I just older?) and it left me with a lingering doubt about the U-District nightlife scene, which seems to have migrated into Fremont. Do I have to explain why I was there...? I had an out-of-town visitor to entertain and sullen hipsters don't serve up that brand of immediate gratification that lusty co-eds do so well, however like my conversations with the bubbly patrons it was all shallow and short lived as within 30 minutes the dudes had 911-alerted other dudes and the gender balance tipped back into alignment as we departed into the night.

** Happy Hour Review ** I love the happy hour here, but I'm not sure I'd return for late-night. The tables are set up in a cozy way that I imagine fill up really quickly as the night picks up. For happy hour with a few friends, though, it's a great spot if you snag the big booth upstairs or one of the several tables in the main bar. The HH food menu is $5 for an assortment of "small" plates - I use quotation marks because the truffle mac 'n cheese was quite hefty! Though not my favorite M&C in Seattle, it tasted good and was a great value. The lamb sliders were also a big hit at our table. The regular food menu is also quite reasonably priced and there are some things not on the HH menu that look interesting (like the beef burgers, which sound delicious!). I haven't yet ventured off the HH menu, though, so I can't vouch for it. Microbrews are $1 off during HH. Other drink specials include $4 glass of wine, $5 mojitos, $3.50 well drinks, and $2 PBR. HH runs 4-7pm, 7 days/week.

Took a walk over to Fremont from my salon the other day and figured I'd finally give this spot a try. My wife is vegan and I am the furthest thing from it, so after perusing the menu, I found items that we both could enjoy, at Happy Hour prices. We sat out on the patio, and enjoyed the nice afternoon while munching on Lamb Sliders & Mac & Cheese (me) and Grilled Asparagus (my wife). Our 9 month old daughter even enjoyed her cubes of Tofu. :) The food was even more surpisingly good than I expected and our waitress was friendly and very helpful. For as close as this is to my salon, I"ll definitely be back. Thanks!

Packed on a Friday night. I suppose that's to be expected in Fremont, but it was unreasonably crowded. The clientele was half hipsters, half bros, which confused me. The strange triangular layout is awkward and the music is far too loud (and not good). They charged me $8 for a vodka & Red Bull (while charging my friend $5 for a vodka & tonic). I could buy an entire can of Red Bull for that extra $3. No thank you.

Went on a Friday night with a friend. Must have bee early as the place seemed rather empty. We got the lamb sliders, white cheddar & truffle Mac n cheese and shared the truffle parmesan fries from the Happy Hour menu that goes until 7:00 PM. The fries were fine, barely any parm and friend enjoyed her Mac n cheese, however... Stay away from the lamb sliders. They are too spicy and I could not taste any hint of lamb. Unfortunately and for whatever reason, they did not sit well with my stomach the next morning. That said, the staff was great and the ambience was fun.

Popped into this place for a beer and I instantly liked the vibe. They have a really good selection of beers on tap and an even better selection of the hard stuff. I didn't try any of the food, but I will definitely be back! Pros: Fun/unique decor TVs for sports watching Nice bartenders TABLE TOP Ms. PAC-MAN (need I say more?!) Cons: Parking It can get pretty crowded

Nice drink selection, decent food, terrible service. We ordered apps, beers on election night and enjoyed the ambiance, food and drinks. Seems like its best to come here on weekday evenings. Service: our server seemed stressed, flakey and entirely disinterested in smiling/chatting/showing any sign of friendliness. We made once extra request regarding more sauce which she promptly forgot. Throughout the entire night, I felt that I was "inconveniencing her" with any request. I might return but would probably look elsewhere. Customer service is King.

I've been here more times than I would like to admit because it's in Fremont and I live in Fremont. After the Buckaroo closed, my drinking hole options decreased because, well, Fremont kind of sucks. 9 Million has a great happy hour and a horrible name. There's a good amount of decent-to-delicious vegetarian options to boot, both on their regular and happy hour menu. Lot's of whiskey options, obviously.

Think about your favorite Western movie. Maybe you envision Clint Eastwood walking into a saloon, maybe you are super old school and love yourself some John Wayne. Well, if Western bars are what you fancy, there is a place in Fremont you can visit to get that saloon-like feel. No, this bar doesn't have a Western theme (unless Whiskey fits the mold). But, to the keen eye, you'll see the Western theme as you enter the bar, like literally, as you enter, because that front door is straight out of an 1800's saloon. Every time a person walks into this bar, SLAM, that freakin' door tries to swing through the frame. My friend put it best last night: Maybe they're going for an old saloon feel and I'm all for theme bars, but it's not the F'ing 1800s. Fix the F'ing door. The happy hour is good.

Only stopped for an after dinner drink, though I wish I would have eaten dinner there. Everything sounded, smelled and looked AMAZING. I for sure, want to go back and try the food. I enjoyed the vibe. Drinks were good. Good beer selection. I'm a fan of any happy hour that runs past 6PM especially on a Saturday. I'll definitely be back!

This is absolutely one of the BEST bars in Fremont. First of all, they have the BEST happy hour, hands down. Not only do they have awesome drink deals, but they have the BEST BEST food around. The caprese is delicious, as well as the truffle mac and cheese and the tofu pillows! Anything I've ever ordered here has been great. Also, they have free bingo every Wednesday that is super fun! They have updated the decor and it looks awesome inside. Back when it was the Triangle, the decor was gross and depressing, it looks so much better now and they've added the back bar and a lot of booths. This place rocks!

My boyfriend and I randomly decided that we wanted to try here one night, and I'm really glad we did. The old-timey graphics and the whiskey theme certainly pulled us in. The hilarious "Prescriptions" neon sign above the bar did it for me. The night we dined in, the whole place was booked by a private party, but the bar and patio were still open. Luckily, it was a beautiful night so we headed for the patio. Even on busy 36th Street, it wasn't that loud and were were able to carry on conversation without shouting across the little table! The portions are great for what you pay. My boyfriend got a Kobe beef burger (which was fantastic), and I got the BBQ chicken sandwich with coleslaw right on the bun. Really, really good! All of their beer on tap is also local, which is nice. I can't say that I would hurry back to 9 Million, but it's good to know that it's there when you're in need of a classy yet casual bar with good comfort food.

My fiancé and I went in for happy hour and tried a few things. We ordered the calamari grilled, truffle fries and truffle Mac and cheese. The Mac was tasty. I like the bread crumbs on top. The fries weren't bad. I wasn't too thrilled about the dipping sauce. It was some sort of mayo ketchup which I normally love but this didn't do it. The grilled calamari wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. It would have been better with a lemon to sprinkle on top of the sauce. The calamari itself was fine but the broth had no flavor. We are definitely going back again because the vibe was great. There is more to try on the happy hour menu!

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for happy hour after seeing the place from outside and being intrigued by the decor. The atmosphere inside and the drinks looked and sounded excellent. The main room near the bar was a bit drafty and cold but the inner room was warmer and cozier. Service was generally inattentive and late. Our appetizer order took 45 minutes to arrive on a day when the place wasn't particularly crowded. When the second item arrived, it stayed at the kitchen window for about 10 minutes before we flagged the waiter down and reminded him to get it for us. All in all, 9 million was a disappointment.

Think "BalMar", but uglier and in Fremont. If you thought you hated the bars in Fremont, now there's a whole new reason to drive to Ballard. The Triangle is now a ridiculously named self-righteous fake dive, and you're supposed to pay for the new owners making it worse than it was. We went tonight. The cozy but sociable stool/table setup that drew us to the Triangle all summer long was replaced with these confining booths with wobbly tables. Think about it, the booths push you within millimeters of the table, and the tables amplify any disturbance by jiggling for 20 seconds after being grazed. The whole place is cramped. So much so, in fact, that the dude couldn't serve food at our whole table without walking around 2 other tables. Really poor design. Somebody found a sale on gray chenille fabric. The booths look super cooshy but everyone's butts hurt after 45 minutes. A pause to discuss these booths. Part of the experience of the Triangle was sitting at those bar-height tables with the garage door windows open and staring at passers-by. That is a defining moment of Seattle summers for me, and likely many others. Now, that same window that gave such pleasure to so many will benefit nothing but the backs of customers' heads. The silly booths are too tall to give a view to anyone else in the restaurant, and they seat people with their back to the window? Instead of looking into a sunny snapshot of the Lenin statue, you're locked into staring into a dank room with black walls and gray fabric. Whose idea was that? The food was just weird. Weird like "do you know this place is a shithole" weird. I ordered the 'tofu pillows' for $5. I got 8 tiny cubes of deep fried tofu on toothpicks. Others at the table weren't quite as disappointed, but everyone agreed we won't be back. Their happy hour is a joke, too. The regular price for all their appetizers is $6, but you get them for only FIVE DOLLARS if you go during happy hour! What a deal! To think we gave this place a try because we're sick of all the other local haunts. They really should decide whether to have a bar, a club, or a restaurant, because they don't do any of those one things well and each interferes with the other two. It has the douchiness of the BalMar, the expensive second-rate food of the rest of Fremont, and the terrible ambiance of Nectar. Bottom Line: There's no reason to try it unless you want to write a mean review.

Just came here on Friday for happy hour, and I am a huge fan! My friend and I sat on their cute little patio, and enjoyed the summery afternoon. The service was slow, but our actual server was very sweet and helpful. The $5.00 Mojitos were strong and delicious, and the Caprese salad was one of the best I have ever had, no joke. So fresh! I will definitely be back, the space is fun and funky. The actual establishment is a lot bigger than I had originally thought, I want to come back and check the rest out! The only downer was that there was a guy smoking on the patio and nothing was done about it. He was obviously a friend of the staff or maybe he even worked there. I'm not a tight-wad about smoking, but when I'm eating, I really hate having to inhale your nasty menthol cigarette smoke. Like, isn't that like a law or something now?

After doing an admirable job of exhausting Ballard's offerings, I headed over to Fremont. I went with no plan, I decided I would walk into the first likely looking eatery. It happened to be 9 Million..It was very relaxing, and that was before the Southern Baptist and my half chicken and exquisite fries! I'm looking forward to my return, this place was relaxing in the extreme..

This is a great find for happy hour. The decor here is very cool, a juxtaposition of modern and rustic - I dig the laid back vibe. The bartenders are friendly and the service is great. They have quite the deals at happy hour. My friend and I both had the $5 mojitos. They were really tasty! We both split the lamb sliders and white truffle mac 'n cheese. The lamb sliders were amazing. Juicy and perfectly cooked, topped with bleu cheese and bacon. The mac 'n cheese was not too shabby either. For $5 a piece they were a steal. We wanted to try the truffle fries but were too full and I was bummed about that. I definitely want to come back here and try some more of their food - everything else on the happy hour menu looks fantastic!

The decor and service here are excellent. I haven't had the food, but the drinks are very well made. Whether you are a fan or not seems to depend on two key factors: 1) Do you like a crowded/loud or mellow/empty bar? Either way, see point 2. 2) What day you go. Friday and Saturday nights, this place is packed with loud college kids from Seattle Pacific. Every other night, especially before 9:30, this place is super mellow. Personally, I like a quiet place to get a decent drink. I live in Fremont, so I think 9 Million will be my new go-to spot. Like everyone else, though, I hate the name. I also wish their happy hour went a bit beyond 6:30...

Went for Happy Hour on a Wednesday + Well drink was good, cheap. + Food presentation was good. Popcorn Shrimp looked cute in a popcorn bag. ~ Popcorn shrimp tasted like it would from anywhere else ~ Variety of food plates during happy hour were $5, and I wouldn't pay normal price for the majority of them. $5 was reasonable for some of the plates. ~ Small, and if busy would get crowded quick. ~ Pretty Empty (on Wed). Good for a group of co-workers going out though - Bad Name - Decor was... blah and kinda cold. Not a warm or friendly feeling.

Went here back in November 2010 for a friend's birthday. It was a Monday night and a little slower but great to visit and eat some yummy food (the Truffle Fries are amazing!). Recently went here on a Saturday and it was packed!! It was great--drinks were good, lots of people to chat with and still room to stand around. This place is worth going to any day of the week.

Ridiculous name aside, 9 Million in Unmarked Bills was a chill place to go. We were there on a Friday evening and the place was pretty quiet. There are large, inviting booths done in a grey "suede" that were oh so comfortable and a great place to kick back and relax. Our bartender/server was attentive and took my drink order seconds after I arrived. My friends had already ordered and they had some epic looking Margaritas. I decided to have one as well and was very pleased with the drink. It was citrusy and very tangy and had a decent pour in it. In addition to some margaritas I also ordered a Long Island which was delicious, although not especially strong. Enjoyable nonetheless. The items on their menu were all really appetizing. I decided to go with the Lamb Sliders which came with a smokey aoli, Bleu Cheese, caramelized onions and bacon! The sliders were thick and plump and were perfectly cooked. The little buns they came on were more ciabatta rather than hamburger bun which I loved. All the sides were awesome and while onions of any kind are winners in my book, the "caramelized" onions were more grilled than caramelized. They were on the raw end of the spectrum rather than sweet and soft like a good caramelized onion should be. Our table shared an order of Truffle Fries which were delicious! Freshly fried, drizzled with Truffle Oil and a dusting of Parmesan cheese. All in all it was a good evening. Laid back, good food, good drinks and fine service. Not too shabby 9 Mil, not too shabby.

Went here for a night out in Fremont with a big group of friends. It definitely doesn't deserve the $5 cover. It was super crowded. Impossible to get anywhere, and getting a drink was difficult, even though there were two bars. My rum and coke was white, which I didn't mind, but for those who actually like their alcoholic drinks to taste good, this is not the place to go. There is no dance floor, but people were awkwardly dancing everywhere anyway. I'll admit I did dance too, but it was weird that we were just dancing right in the middle of the place. The DJ was spinning your average top 40 songs, but for the bar atmosphere this place has, I don't think having a DJ was appropriate. Basically, this place is a bar that tries to be a club, but fails miserably at both. At least on Saturday nights anyway.

Definitely some mixed feelings about the place that I have known as the Triangle Lounge. As Nina mentioned, the place has gone upscale, in both decor and also beverage selection with an expanded selection of scotch and bourbon as well as more specialty liquors like Lemoncello, Fernet Branca, etc. But the sophisticated crowd that Nina mentions was nowhere to be seen, and the place was filled with drunken karaoke singers. So the basically something didn't click - Nine Million is trying to be upscale, while the crowd and event definitely were not. But I'll give it another chance as it is in a great location that has a lot of memories.

This bar has a unique interior, nice patio seating good for Fremont people-watching, a nice selection of booze, friendly bartenders and servers, and really good food. Great menu and great location. Caprese was delicious, as were the burger and truffle fries my friend ordered. Solid place for some drinks and good food. There's a TV or two for sporting events if that's your thing, but there is also good music playing at a volume conducive to table conversations. I will go back to explore the menu some more.

Hands down my favorite bar to chill at in the Fremont area. They have outdoor seating which is great when the whether is nice and they also have a back area that you can reserve for private parties. Love the food, drinks and atmosphere. Of all the bars in the area, I've probably been there most. Definitely one of my go to spots.

Plenty of snackage to choose from! Their beer selection is okay, they're clearly more geared towards being a whisky bar - of which they have many, many options. Service is average, no complaints there. All and all this is a nice place to grab a bite to eat at before moving on to the next adventure!

A eclectic little joint in the heart of Fremont! I came here one evening with my fellow Yelper, Nicole B, and I am so glad we stumbled across this place. We ended up sitting at the bar first and later moved to a booth table, when more friends joined us. The bartender was pretty busy, which was unfortunate, but I do understand he was the only one working the bar, and the entire bar top was full. I ordered the "Hey Andrienne" drink and we got the lamb sliders with truffle fries to share! The drink was served up in a mason jar, and had a spicy kick to it with the fresh cut jalapeños. The lamb sliders were well cooked and came with a side of tzatziki sauce. The truffle fries portion was huge and flavorful! Overall, great ambiance and food, and will definitely be back to better judge the service. Definitely visit 9 million In Unmarked Bills if you are in the area!!

Ugh, it pains to me deduct stars for a place I really like. Cool atmosphere? Check! Great drink menu with awesome drink specials (such as whiskey of the week)? Check! Food menu that looks promising (I've never actually had the food)? Check! Service that needs some TLC? Check! I've been to 9 Million in Unmarked Bills a few times now, so I can safely say I'm a fan! If you sit at the bar, you'll be just fine. However, if you find yourself needing wait staff, you may be waiting a long while... You may be better off going to the bar and ordering your drink, then having a seat at a table. My buddies had to do that on more than one occasion. As for the drinks. Their menu is pretty extensive. They have this section called Boiler Makers which pairs beer or cider with a shot of whiskey, tequila or other liquors. My buddies had the Pablo Escobar which paired Negra Modelo with a shot of Hussongs. Let's just say, after a few of those I quickly became the DD... I'm a whiskey girl (for now) and their whiskey list is pretty substantial, so I'm in a happy place here. Plus, they feature a whiskey of the week! Now if only I can get that person to pour me a double, neat, please...

I had some friends in town for the Labor Day weekend and this seemed like the perfect answer for a late afternoon cocktail, with the added benefit of a dog-friendly patio. I've had drinks here before and it's been a fine experience, but this time was just pathetic. First, the server-slash-waiter is apparently trying to get by on his good looks; brooding, inattentive and definitely not customer-oriented. He plopped our 3 waters down at the end of the table, apparently so we could decide on our own who wanted which glass; same with cocktail napkins (which came later). When we were trying to get the check, he just seemed like he was adrift in Never-never land. The main(?) waitress -- while fine and friendly enough -- forgot the one appetizer order we placed. It wasn't a terribly busy day, nor was this complicated. Here's hoping they improve and fix the kinks; not a great example of what Seattle service can be... It will be a long time before I take the chance to try them again, no matter how tasty the cocktails or that the happy hour extends later than most (til 7).

"A very well-decorated rustic themed gastropub with delicious cocktails and eats however missed the service mark." 9 Mil is reminiscent of a hunting cabin out in the woods. The wood paneling, mounted games, and rustic light fixtures made of ball jars completes the whole package and provides a very cozy setting perfect for groups and dates alike. It was a late dinner and we decided to stop by for a quick meal. We were immediately seated by the bar area which was a very comfortable seating arrangement. The menu list provided good food options ranging from small bites to actual entrees. The alcohol list was decent and offered a good selection for all preferences. I ordered the southern baptist, popcorn shrimp, and tofu pillows. The food was simply delicious. The popcorn shrimp was served in a parchment bag with a side of cocktail sauce and was still piping hot and crispy. The tofu pillows had a mild kick to it and the chili sauce was an excellent pairing. The southern baptist cocktail had a great blend of peach, bourbon and black tea. Overall, the food and drinks earns great marks. The wait time for the food to arrive to our table is almost non-existent. The time for us to place our food order with our server was unbelievable. The server never returned and after 35 minutes we decided to stand up from our chairs and walk over to a different server in another room to place our orders. This is the reason for the lowered rating. I will try this place in the future and update my review based on that experience.

The service here was very good, and the drinks were fine as well. The food, however, left something to be desired. It wasn't bad, but not as good as we were hoping or expecting. The waitress, however, was very attentive and helpful. It's a cute neighborhood but it wasn't my favorite stop along our way.

Dog friendly patio seating. That's very important for us and in the area we live, so worth mentioning first. Service was very good, and our orders were quick to arrive. Prices are typical, however, I'm still not seeing how 1 HH item, the Mac and cheese, and 2 beers could amount to $25. I've had more for less before, just saying. And while the pretzel buns the lamb sliders come on are pretty killer (as are the lamb patties), the "house favorite" white truffle Mac N Cheese just didn't do it for me. Seemed under seasoned and a little water. Overall, I'm willing to go back and see what else is going on with the menu. Especially with a dog friendly environment.

Great place for a group HH! I have never been here where it's too busy to get a spot or table (we usually come just before COB for work HH) and the service is always great. They have an expansive menu with wonderful app options. I love the olives and almonds, fries (DELICIOUS!), and have also had the sliders and pulled pork but am not as big of a fan of those. Drinks are strong and tasty. Decor is awesome!

  • Rykiel E.

Such a cool atmosphere. Service was alright, I felt as though they could have been friendlier. I felt rushed to order a drink, and it took a while for us to get seated. We almost felt like a nuisance when the place wasn't really busy at all. Anyway, we were seated next to an extremely loud and obnoxious party so that dampened out experience but their selection of drinks are great! So exciting. Not only were the drinks good, the food was great! Surpassed my expectations. I had the pulled pork sliders with a cider. The plating was nicer than I expected it to be. The side salad was pretty good, too! Maybe I came in with low expectations since I have never heard of this place and walked in completely by random curiosity, but I would definitely come back.

Came here for a quick bite to eat. They have good happy hour prices and a large drink menu. Had their: - Bibb Lettuce Salad - Pork Bites - and their "house favorite" White Truffle Mac&Cheese Its a shame their food missed its mark. I was disappointed by their mac&cheese. It was watery (instead of creamy) & lacked saltiness. Fun quirky name but nothing memorable beyond that.

I was really expecting not to like this place for some reason but I can safely say that this is not the case at all! It gets pretty busy on the weekends so if you want to avoid the crowds (or...if you do want to join the crowds) plan accordingly. I usually hit this place up for mid-week drinks and dinner though when the atmosphere is fairly relaxed and not overly crowded. The cocktails are always delicious - they have a list of specialty cocktails that have hit the mark every time. They also have a good wine and extensive whiskey selection! As for the food, I have been consistently impressed. From the House Salad (add chicken) to the Pork Bites, round to the Grilled Cheese sandwich and everything in between!

We had some friends in town from Chicago and were wandering around Fremont and came across this spot and figured we would jump in for some food and drinks. The guy who sat us looked as if he would rather be anywhere else than at work, and his attitude continued for the rest of the time we were there (it was hard to tell if he was a host or a server). Our actual server was nice but very absent for most of our visit. We had to flag down a different server to order more drinks and ask for more water. The bill we received was completely incorrect and it took a very long time to get the bill paid so we could head out (again, with no water to drink either, since our glasses remained empty for the majority of our time here). I ordered the truffle mac n cheese, and it was kind of bland. The bib lettuce salad was good, with tasty dressing. No one else had a lot to say about their food, it seemed to be ok, not great, not bad. Nothing was memorable in a positive way. With all the options in Fremont, this would not be a place we would return to.

Fantastic little bar in the Fremont area of Seattle. I'd stop in again if I didn't live in TX. Food: we had the fresh bread loaf and the pecan crusted pork loin bites - both were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the bites! Staff: excellent! Our bartender/waiter was proactive and attentive. Atmosphere: relaxed and casual. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and grabbed a seat on the patio. It wasn't busy, yet, but there were just enough patrons to create some buzz.

Going to echo Caleb R.'s review. Pricey for previously frozen food (see popcorn shrimp pic), corn on the cob was worse than the worst corn on the cob I've ever had. Smdh. How does one screw up corn on the cob? Took forever to get our drinks, and even longer for refills. Server was distracted or just plain didn't give a shit. Yelp failed us this time.

Great little two section bar playing music you can groove to. Service was really good, especially for a large party of sort of unruly intoxicated people. I'd never been to this spot before but luckily was with a local who led the way for the group. I really enjoyed the vibe here and will definitely be back again.

9 million is a cool rustic kinda setting. Ball jar lights covers and a deer head on the wall. Lol. Service was great as well as the food. Had a brisket sandwich with horse relish. The horse sauce was really milded it didn't over power the sandwich. Great place to hang out for drinks. They have outside seating to Accommodate the great weather we been having.

We stopped in Monday evening of July 13th for drinks & a small snacky meal to hold us over. I got the French #9 to drink, my bf got a Boiler Maker plus a Mt. Rainier beer. We ordered truffle fries & a meat/cheese board. The atmosphere was rustic with open air bar & seating, view of patio & street. The bartender had a very large personality - quick with witty comebacks & one liners; he ran the show. Food was good, drinks were great. Interesting food menu, great drink menu, good selection all around.

One of my favorite neighborhood spots, especially for the Sunday karaoke. Maybe I'm one of the "white young professional rats" this Steve Douche guy complained about (seriously, what's that about), but 9 mil hits the right combo of friendly staff who appreciate their regulars, a handful of good reasonably priced beers, some excellent cocktail options (love me a DB Cooper or Barefoot Bandit), and solid food selection (truffle fries, broccoli & kale, and smoked trout crostini are my favorites). Once in a while it gets a little too crowded for me on Friday and Saturday nights, but that's more about my mood than anything. Lots of other great spots around here have particular focuses (wine snobbery, beer snobbery, amazing food, music, dancing, meat markets, artsy/hipster cocktail bars, our neighborhood's got it all), but 9 Mil is the well-rounded go-to Fremont bar you can't go wrong with.

I love this place. I'm not sure exactly what it is. I've only been twice, but both times I left saying how much I like it. It has a great laid back vibe. I think I'd hang out here a lot if I were in the area more often. The drinks and food are great. I've been on a whiskey based kick for a while, and they have some wonderful cocktails and decent happy hour specials. Both times I've visited were mid day. It was semi empty each time and I'm not sure how the night life holds up? Seems decent from reading the other reviews.

I hated this place last year and yet I accidentally find myself back here again. Shitty service every time including barely 21-year-olds giving 40+ year olds shit for having Japanese drivers licenses. Tofu pillows = tofu bricks. Totally unmemorable food and drinks. Walk the extra block to the Barrel Thief where the food is delicious and the service is gracious.

I cannot comment on their food, as we came for the bourbon. Oh what a selection they have! We asked to see their Whiskey list, and the waitress delivered unto us an impressive tome. The list was massive, and it took a good 10 minutes to pick from the ponderous lexicon of wonder. The list is divided into types of whiskey, and the each type is broken down by location and age. I was in heaven. I would absolutely come back here, although with a smaller group. There's not much room for a group of 9 people.

I go here for the truffle fries and for the Fremont people watching, both of which are always rewarding. The bar is fully stocked with an excellent selection of whiskey. The bartender was able to answer all of my questions about the different varieties of whiskey while suggesting possible drinks. He was kind enough to offer a sip of two before I settled on a drink. While the staff was friendly and helpful, the noise level was out of control. The space is way too small for the booming bass of the DJ's mad spin. Sitting outside is the best choice for escaping the madness of the music. Not a place for a large group of friends to meet. I would limit my party to four or five.

Everyone hates the previous review I wrote for this fine establishment so I'll just say this: this bar is great for children of any race. I don't know if they're allowed inside the place or even near it, probably not. If I were a child though, I would want to drink here.

GREAT bar food. I can confidently say that 9 Mill is home to the best fries I've EVER had. Seriously, order the Parmesan Truffle Fries, they are AMAZING. Alcohol wise, no complaints! I've been here on both a very packed and busy Saturday night and during weekday Happy Hour, and both service and drinks have been great on both occasions. My favorite part of the bar is probably the fluorescent "PRESCRIPTIONS" sign above the bar. So perfect.

My friends and I came here for a good time. We had Megan as a bartender and she was one of the rudest people I have encountered. They have pull tabs and we were waiting in line to cash out and I ask her and she goes "not now" and I go politely "ok well we were next" and she says "well that's not the way we do things here" and ignores is. Worst and rudest service I have ever countered, in addition I would never recommend this place to anyone. Have gotten happy hour here before and it's been terrible.

The bartender here is a complete jerk! He questioned my drink choice, disputed my tip, and was a flat out asshole. This place is cool but needs to hire people who actually understand customer service. That guy is a douche

  • Lee G.

The bartender here works wizardry with whiskey. I told him I liked rye, and he made one of the best tasting manhattans I've tasted. Really on top of it service-wise as well. The food is good, but the drinks are where it's at. The veggies are better than the non-veggies. Kale & broccoli was especially good.

So I used to love this place like LOVE it. I mean I was a regular. Last time I went there when I walked in they said it's an hour wait for food. Like that's the way they greeted us at the door. Which was bull when there were a total of five tables in the whole place. And now tonight the bartender is being rude, we had to hunt people down and argued with me about the food choices. So except for the pretty short haired blonde waitress, the blonde bartender and the Asian bartender (yeah I know horrible way to differentiate) the rest of 9 million unmarked can kiss my BIG BLACK ASS for going all the way downhill.

9 million is just alright for me. I've been here only late on weekend nights and have not tried their food, so this review is only for drink service. For me the service has been hit or miss. I have been in larger groups that seemingly got ignored. The clientele is my main deterrent as it just doesn't jive with me, lots of younger frat/club goers when I was there. Props for a convenient location and whiskey selection! It is also pretty inside and has good ambiance. I'm sure I will end up here again and I will update my review!

I'm in Seattle for just a couple nights, out walking the streets of Fremont to see what's popping... Not much, anywhere; it's 1130pm, Friday night?!? Then I turn a corner and see one bustling establishment, 9 million bills. I actually popped in some dead place, for a bite, earlier in evening and a waitress included this spot on a list of tries for short timers in area. DB Cooper affinity. Anyway, whole place gave off a classy cool vibe, better for a neat whiskey than Jaeger shots; crowd seemed mid-20s thru early 30s, and dressed casual. I waded thru the crowd near the bar and "double dutched" my way into a convo about bike commuting. though packed, bar tenders seemed reasonably attentive as the glassy eyed conversationalist didn't seem to get on that, while visiting from DC and rarely biking, I had no business joining in. Kanpai!

Surprisingly good prices during happy hour. Get the new prosciutto croustinni special. You won't be disappointed, it was a like a blue cheese, meat and bread bomb went off and annihilated my mouth. In the best possible way. I can't really think of any other way to describe it. Those alone were enough to fill me up. I also got the grilled Caesar and this is where the -1 star comes in. The dressing was pretty bland or just non-existent, I couldn't tell. Not much parmesan, just kind of limp and sad overall. And I get it was happy hour but the drinks weren't on happy hour price and weren't as strong as I'd hoped for and heard about. Oh well it was still alcohol!

Came here for drinks to celebrate my friend's birthday. Josh was our waiter and he was great! A friend asked him to surprise us with a shot of his choice and what he made was super delicious. I think it was called southern something but it tasted like apple cinnamony coconut-y goodness, we got another round! We also ordered truffle fries and marrow bones both were awesome.

Seating was fast and staff did a good job. Had a bad experience because A) we ordered a mint julep off the happy hour menu during happy hour, but were charged $10 instead of $6 and B) none of the on-tap beers were available.

  • Ree A.

Good drinks, excellent whisky selection. Food was good too. We had the 9 mils salad, lamb sliders and the goat cheese crostini. The goat cheese was amazing! The lamb sliders were small. The mint julep was well made, perfect balance if flavors. Might be tough to get a seat on weekends but they do have a lot more space at the back.

While in Seattle on business a friend who lives in the area recommended I check out 9 Million in Unmarked Bills. The photos oh Yelp looked promising, but they did not justice to this place once you got inside. It was cozy, intimate while still giving you the energy and atmosphere of a larger bar. We sat down at a table near the bar and the service was quick, the drinks were strong and the good was wonderful. I only regret that the lighting wasn't better so I could take more photos of the food. The cab driver did have a bit of a problem finding this place, which made me a little nervous. We had to pass it a couple of times before I was able to locate it on the corner. But, once we got inside it was clear this was a popular spot and it seemed there were mostly locals. If you have the chance to check it out, I would recommend making sure you have room for appetizers with your drinks because they're very delicious. If I'm ever back in Seattle, I'll put this on my "to do" list, for sure!

I'm so effing torn about this place! I hate weak well drinks. There. I said it again. Love free bingo Wednesday! I will most certainly be back for that action. It is very fun and run by a lively emcee. I suppose you can count this as my first foray into gambling, since I entered the lone $1 per sheet round. Service was great in the bar area. What prompted the update, however, was the food. Fries are standard bar fare, but the Parmesan and chive? oregano? on top was a nice touch. DO NOT ORDER THE BROCCOLI AND KALE. I like grease as much as the next person, but when the kale is so sopping with oil you're swallowing at least 2-3 teaspoons of it per bite, you've overdone it. GROSS. Order the skewers or tofu pillows or pizza or anything else! The food here is actually decent save that terrible experience.

We were sat by the host Server came for drinks order. I asked for a beer. And she asked for our IDs. Mind you no one else ordered an alcoholic beverage. Unfortunately not everyone at the table had an ID on them. I presented my iD which was a temporary. Then she proceeded to request for more identification. I said how is that not my id? It is my drivers license. Then she requested more specifically another ID with my name and photo. Which I replied my DL has my name and photo. She again stated she needed something else. Finally we left on our own accord. I could of pushed for a manager. But when I announced that we will have to go somewhere else. She retorted please do. Until this incident I use to like going there. But there is always one I guess.

I love this place, it can be hectic when busy due to its layout but otherwise the place is great! I've always been satisfied with the food. Everything is fairly priced. The service has always been prompt, pleasant an helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who likes fun cocktails and good food.

Sunday's running plan: Wife's Mystery Run as long as we WATCH THE GAME After the 5k run, Monkey scored the first bar with 3 TVs in the bar. We were greeted and welcomed right away, although the only seats available were in the back room. A TV to ourselves, bartender was gracious to make sure it was tuned into the proper station at kickoff. We later found an empty table in the bar, where all the fun is. Down 21pts at the half, Monkey ogling the wall of whiskey & scotch labeled "Prescriptions"... Seahawks chants abound and our faith never wavered. A round of shots given at the first touchdown brought on the momentum. Louder at the stadium, Louder here, too. KICKSTARTER - Jameson & coffee - just what Monkey needed to get started HOT WINGS - had to send them back to cook throughout, not so hot, but tasty TOFU PILLOWS - cubes of fried tofu w/sweet & sour sauce, perfect starter Multiple Jack Cokes later at Overtime... PARMESAN TRUFFLE FRIES - big mound of bites to complement all them drinks Great atmosphere! Loud, enthusiastic, supportive without being obnoxious. Nobody outta hand. Great service, checked on often and most of all, we felt very welcome! Monkey hopes this is our destination on the next run...

We had the misfortune to come here after the Fremont fair. I should have read the yelp reviews first as all the 1 star reviews say a lot. The people in front of us were offered a table. We were told, " you guys want to sit at the bar?" When we said we wanted a table, the slow 8-10 year old appearing busperson stared at us and then took us to a table behind a door (which I later realized was a table near the bar). Noone bothered to take our orders (The bartender came by and asked us for drinks and when we said no, he left and never came back. It was never clear to us who our waitperson was). We left after 15 to 20 minutes and while I was asking another waitress for information to complain, she wrote it out like it was a usual thing for people to ask and no one even bothered was wrong or to remedy the situation (even though the people who had been responsible for our "service" passed by us several times) Additionally, the glasses already sitting on our table had dirt on them when holding up to the light and the jar with the water in it was there for who knows how long. I question the hygiene in the place. But it all became clear when I called and spoke with ?Riley that is their "manager." He said that he had spoken with the people involved and said that it was a miscommunication between us. He said the bartender had gone down to get a keg and likely should have told us he would be gone. He paused as though he expected an award for having spoken to someone (speaking is likely a higher level task for him). I guess our miscommunication is that we went into a restaurant expecting food and not directly saying that. I mean, we could have been expecting yoga. In response to the table being in the bar, he responded that "technically, it was a table." He then asked what we wanted from them. I realized then the trickle down effect on service with the management at the helm. One can only hope this place is torn down and a bookstore or library pops up in its place. Actually, keep the building, it looks nice. Just hire an exterminator once they have vacated. NUTSHELL: There is no service here. The people are stupid. The place likely has hygiene issues. We never got to eat the food which was part of the problem and likely a blessing in hindsight.

If you like a strong drink, this is a good place to go. My friends and I went out on a Sunday night. I've been here on the weekends and it can get pretty packed. Unfortunately, when that happens, service can be a little slow. The vibe of the place is pretty relaxed, and they had good oldies songs playing in the backroom. They had some good (but not great) appetizers, such as olives and the fries with truffles oil.

Yummy truffle mac and cheese and great mint julep. Wait staff was a little awkward about seating myself and my not 21 yeast old sister, and seating was cool but a bit cramped. Vibe was awesome though and the food was delicious. Would love to go again for just drinks to try out the whole menu.

Just had drinks here. The drinks were good. I had a summer sizzle ( I think that's the name) it was good. Nice and sweet with a bit of a floral taste. The service was good as well. I am not a whiskey drinker but seemed to have a wide range if choice whiskeys. One if the people we were with is a whiskey drinker and he was happy with the selection. I love how they serve the water in old liquor bottles! Such a trendy idea.

9 Million has become somewhat of a Christmas eve tradition. Every year for the past 3 years me, my sister, her bf, and a bunch of their friends meet here for drinks, food, and cards against humanity. I've only had a few things from their menu but what I've had has been pretty good. The popcorn shrimp is a good deal for the amount of shrimp you get. The tofu pillows are lightly fried cubes of tofu and come with chili sauce and a ginger soy sauce. The best item I've had so far is the parmesan truffle fries! You have to get this when you visit. Fair warning that the drinks here are strong! Since it is a whiskey bar, their cocktails are whiskey-heavy. Unfortunately, I'm not a whiskey fan so I usually stick to whatever cider they have on tap that day or tequila. Next Christmas eve, find me in the big corner by the window deep in a game of cards against humanity and join in on the fun!

The bartender's music choice was old timey, the Sam Cook Pandora channel, I believe. I was transported. The drinks were meticulously perfect. This establishment was effortlessly classic. Just true. Even the tiniest detail seems like it was thought out. It was busy, which is apparently the norm, yet everyone was tended to like they were the Queen of England. The barkeep was fast, and kind and attentive. Riley, I believe. Young and capable, every drink was made as if to outdo the one before. I can also give an establishment's some credence based on how much thought is given on their "facilities". When I went to relieve myself, I must confess, I was not disappointed. Everything here is hip in its own way. When I asked where the bathrooms were, another staffer said, "past the Mrs. Pac man game," to which I immediately stopped and asked, "Is this a functioning Mrs. Pacman game?" Hot damn. It was. This place has an Ungodly inexplicable coolness. I hope to become a regular. If you step in this bar and walk away from it less than encapsulated then there is something wrong with you, not the bar. If I ever have "9 million in unmarked bills" that I have to spare, I'm dropping it into this place!

Well, it's a bar, so it can't be all that bad, right? The Barefoot Bandit I had was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like someone accidentally poured too much bitters into the glass and decided to serve it anyway. Maybe it was my mistake for not sending it back. If you're a beer kinda person, this place seems alright, I'd just hold off on their specialty cocktails.

Went here after dinner at Khao Samai. Ordered their Long Island iced tea which was nothing like any Long Island I've ever had. It has a hint of lavender maybe to it. Soooo delicious. They also have Stella Artois cider, I died. If you like well made drinks. Hipster decor, good atmosphere in Fremont? This is it. Servers were super friendly and attentive and good music. What more can you ask for?! Can't wait to go back to try the food and the rest of their drinks menu!

No. Just don't. You'll be in Fremont walking along and you will see a giant Whiskey sign in the sky and you'll think "hellz yeah I need a whiskey". And maybe you do. You probably do to be honest. But not from here. If, however, you find yourself thinking I need a freakish Seattle experience with a crap DJ blasting music at me while TVs blare in a wanna be speak-easy vibe with AWE-FULL food, then maybe you do need to go here. This place can not decide if its a sports bar (it is), a gastro-pub (it is so not!) or a crazy DJ place. While its location is prime Fremont, the drinks were overpriced and crappy, the mac and cheese had separated cheese sauce and the brussel sprouts should have included cooked bacon, not the creepy raw-sih stuff it came with. When the waitress came to ask if everything was okay, my two buddies and I just stared at her unable to process how terribly wrong all parts of this overpriced fiasco was. Which was fine, because the DJ there spinning his totally unnecessary tunes at 1 on a Sunday afternoon was so damn loud, she wouldn't have been able to hear us anyway. Don't walk away from this place....run.

FOOD PARTY IN MY MOUTH. I'm often one of those people that goes to Happy Hours more for the food than the drink... hehe. I have officially eaten here twice, once during happy hour and once for a Tuesday night dinner. Between those two experiences, My friends and I have happily filled our bellies with scrumptious bites of the following foods: Truffle fries ($5?) - 5 stars. Who doesn't love truffle fries? Well-seasoned, not too crunchy OR too mushy. Mac n' cheese ($9) - 5 stars. Baked cheesy ooey gooey deliciousness with some bread crumbs on top. Marguerita pizza ($14) - 4 stars. Awesome sprinkly cheese, was a little light on the basil. Also it's pretty thin crust and I think ours might have been in the oven about 2 minutes too long, but it was still pretty good. A little overpriced though I felt. Steak bites ($8) - 5 stars. Comes with horseradish aioli (but I hate horseradish so I didn't try it). Strong flavor, not fatty, etc. Beet caprese salad ($8) - 4 stars. Nice light appetizer with a balsamic reduction-type dressing, good portion, beautiful presentation (it came shaped like a tower!), but they hid the pesto underneath the entire tower, so I didn't find it until I packed my to go box! Calamari ($5/$9) - 5 stars. I love calamari. Comes with a mild chipotle (?) aioli. Good portion, not too gummy, etc. Service is pretty decent too, though I imagine dinner on a Saturday night might be a different story. Overall a good experience though, so I'll be back soon. Washed it down with some $5 cider in a can. Would definitely go back again.

I wasn't super impressed when I first visited 9 Million on a random night with friends, but lately it has become one of my favorite places to grab dinner in Fremont! My first positive visit included their hangar steak and a white ale. Delicious! They haven't had the hangar steak recently, so I've gotten to try their steak bites (another great option!), truffle fries, and the caprese tower. Love 'em all! I had one good mac & cheese experience months ago, but a friend recently had a bad one so she advised staying away. I haven't had the Smoked Chicken Pot Pasta yet, but a friend recently had it for dinner, and it looked wonderful. Keep on doin' whatever you're doing, 9 Million! It's working...

I held off on reviewing 9 Million for a while. I thought maybe I would check it out again at some point the next time I was going through Fremont, but I'm pretty sure I won't for a few reasons. The good: I liked that they kept the Prescription in neon above the bar (used to be the Triangle bar.) I like that it's walking distance to other bars and places to see, which is great, considering that once you snag a parking spot in that area, you honestly look to will that parking spot to your first-born. The name rocks. Welp. That's pretty much the good for me. It still has the same overall ambience of the Triangle, which was fine, but nothing extraordinary. Good drinks and good food for a fair price is an aphrodisiac to this chick. And 9 Million is kind of like a blind date with your friend touting, "But he's REALLY grounded." What does that even mean? I've been in twice, once for drinks, and once for food and drinks. The price of my drink was astonishing to me, especially after tasting it. I've had the Southern Baptist: tea with bourbon and lemonade for about $9, I was hoping that a choir would sing as it was delivered to my table, and instead, I received a pounder of tea -- with a slight taste of bourbon :/ Then, there was the food. 2 of our party were hungry (me being one of the two) and let me say that the tofu pillows should probably be renamed, "tofu boba." They were tiny. And were dressed in a teriyaki-quality dressing for $7. I got the broccoli and kale to share, and it was so small, that I felt bad taking more than one bite - $7. And it was more broccoli than kale. $7 for five florets of broccoli... and we also ordered the steak bites. Good thing they called them bites, as we were noticing the trend of the portions ($9!) Overall, a place that I'm not big on the food, and the drinks are overpriced as well. And though I don't imagine that will change, check it out and see if it's worth it for the Prescription neon sign.

I used to hang out here a few years ago and have watched it transition from genre to genre, ilk to ilk, menu to menu, name to name. 9MIUB is by far the best transition to date at this locale. Staff are friendly, but know when to leave you alone. Food is hearty, good and value-based. Drinks are satisfying and creative. Word on the street, is many a model hangs out here. Probably because of the Guess, Juicy Couture, Ed Hardy, Harley cowgirl thing they got going on. Oh, we ended up partying with a few of the staff after hours at another place - always a good sign.

Star upgrade for the bar with the longest name in the history of the world. I wanted to show my Midwestern visitor a bit of Fremont on his last night in town and this is where we went. It's still a cute place and I impressed him with my mad trivia skillz. What was new to me was we had some food. We tried the grilled caesar salad and the artichoke poppers (or pillows, or nuggets or something like that), each for a very happy hour price of 5 Million Dollars. Just kidding. 5 Whole Dollars. The salad was a grilled wedge of lettuce, and it was tasty. I had only seen grilled greens done on Top Chef so it was cool to try this trend in real life. The artichoke thingies were fried, so of course they tasted good and fried. The dipping sauce was the best part, seemed like a tartar sauce or aioli. I wish 9MIUB was closer to me. I love the Zoo Tavern ( yelp.com/biz/eastlake-zo… ) but sometimes I wish there was a place in my hood that less divey, without being as hoitey toitey as Serafina ( yelp.com/biz/serafina-se… ). 9 Million In Unmarked Bills would fit the bill. The Unmarked Bill.

Hats off to a place that not only has cool waitresses that give good service, but that you end up running into later at a funk band show and are still cool! This place is in a great location, has cool decor with initmate lighting. We had a big group and they had no issues seating us in the booth in the back. It was almost "VIP" like. We just got a few things to nibble on like truffle fries + shrimp. I did not eat either, but was assured by my friends that they were quite tasty. I was stoked that not only was I able to order a Gluten Free Omission Lager, that if I did decide to get a pizza, they had UDI's Gluten Free crust available!

This place definitely reminds of me of this quote, "I'm getting too old to drop it like it's hot, so I am going to squat like it's warm." In my case, I sat like it was room temperature. This is definitely a place to hang out when you're a young twenties something. Unfortunately, I don't fit in that group any more and just wanted a place to chill and grab some drinks. This place was definitely not it. The drinks are decent for the amount of price and bartenders are friendly. Maybe because most of the time, I couldn't hear what they were saying to me. Is that a sign of AGING? *Grasp*!! I think it was the live DJ and the speaker system. I still had fun catching up with a friend and people watch on how young twenties something hit on other young twenties something. Now I sound like a creeper.

I love 9 million! They are always festive when there is a game or holiday. They have a great space in the back for parties. The staff is really friendly and they make it feel like home. I really enjoy the menu, not to mention the brunch bloody Mary's that come with a lamb slider!

Laid back atmosphere, an array of tasty whiskey treats, pricey small dishes, and all the funky decor you could ever want. After more visits than I can count, I figured I might as well review my favorite watering hole. I LIKEY: Well, the look of the place is fabulous. There's a lot of upcycling going on, with a stunning Ball jar ceiling in the back, as well as several neat pieces throughout. Definitely things to look at. The drinks are excellent - strong, varied, with definite whiskey leanings. The service is 99% fabulous, the servers are all mellow and funny and attentive without being in your lap about it. The food is very tasty, I usually get the broccoli and kale, my brother always goes for the popcorn shrimp. We love it. The music has to be mentioned, because they changed it for a few weeks and it was HORRIBLE, but now the good stuff is back. Ray Charles always has a song to serenade my evening here. BOO: No joke, it is pricey. For the drinks, I would say 80-90% their seasonal concoctions are a win, and all of their regular drinks are fabulous. That said, I wouldn't compare them to the Back Door, which makes the 9$9-$12 range a little steep. The food, while also delicious, is pricey - especially for the portions. COMING AGAIN? Obviously. This is my favorite watering hole. But, due to steep prices, I do usually try to start with a drink or two before moseying elsewhere for my food and further drinks.

The drinks are legit...I've already raved about the Southern Baptist... it's like a drunken peach cobbler. How can that be wrong? But alas, the service is so slow. Friendly and sweet...but like molasses. The brunch is a solid choice for vegetarians...love the mushroom gravy and biscuits. Good place to kick it on a lazy Sunday and watch the game.

Really wanted to like this place but felt the cocktails were really lack-luster. In fact, my dining partner and I actually didn't finish our drinks.....which NEVER happens. In a town with some amazing choices for craft cocktails, they are going to need to step up their game. Will try again for two reasons: 1. Maybe just a bad bartender 2. They have popcorn shrimp which made my inner child very happy!

9 Million is my go-to bar for Happy Hour. It's close to where I live and work (Fremont), and so far, I have never been displeased. Their HH is 4-7 everyday, great for the after-work-I-need-alcohol and food-types of people. The menu is spot-on and deserves recognition. ONLY $5 each: Lamb Sliders, Calamari, Popcorn Shrimp, Tofu, White Truffle mac n cheese, Caesar Salad, Broccoli & Kale, Caprese, Edamame, Crostinis, Parmesan Truffle Fries, and Grilled Asparagus. Fortunately, this menu provides something for all those picky eaters and eaters on a diet, as well as the carnivorous. The drink specials are $1 off wells and drafts; $5 mint juleps and $4 wines. I have never had issues with finding somewhere to sit whether it's 4:00pm or 6:30pm and the service is great. The atmosphere is quiet, and intimate, but very open. It has personality with the lit-PRESCRIPTIONS sign, pictures of gangsters and gangster drink names, and fun, outgoing staff. This is definitely a place to get together with friends for some fun!

Great place for cocktails & happy hour. Cool decor and back story of DB cooper behind the name

I've been to 9 Million for drinks a couple times and finally tried some of their food last night. I was honestly very impressed! My expectations weren't high because they are mainly a bar but they churn out some good food, too! I love the atmosphere in here. The mason jar lighting is so fun and different. I had the Spire Mountain Dark Cider of draft which was very tasty. I hadn't had a cider that dark before and I really enjoyed it. It was only $5 including tax (not on happy hour either) which I thought was pretty reasonable. My friend and I split the steak sandwich ordered medium ($13). I wasn't sure what to expect portion-wise or quality-wise but the sandwich was very good and big! I was glad we split it when I saw the size of it. I was too full to even finish half of the sandwich and some of the fries. They serve their sandwiches on Macrina buns, too. I give them props for that! The steak was cooked very nicely with quite a bit of pink in the middle as there should be. The au jus and horseradish tasted good. I also liked the truffle fries but they were very rich! I tasted the fried calamari and the roasted kale and broccoli too and both were very tasty. The calamari wasn't greasy at all. We all enjoyed our food. Service was nice, too. Our server offered to split our check individually without us even asking which we all appreciated. Happy hour is 4-7pm. No late night happy hour. Great experience. I can't wait to go back!

This place is great! I like going during happy hour for the food and unique drink specials. I definitely recommend the truffle oil mac n' cheese and the truffle fries. Service is always friendly, music is always good, drinks and food are always delicious.

Waiting 20 minutes for each round of drinks is aggravating when they aren't that busy. Don't know if we would come back here again.

Huh? I wasn't at the Triangle Lounge? Oh, okay. Apparently this place is now the 9 Million In Unmarked Bills. I came here on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy but not absurdly packed, which could be good or bad depending on your taste. The bartenders were quick and attentive and seemed knowledgeable enough. The waitress was also quick and kept coming back at a good interval. The drinks can be a little pricey if it's not happy hour. I don't really know what the standard rate is for the various drinks we were ordering but for a place like this I expected them to be $1-2 less than they actually ended up being. Contrary to a lot of reviews I didn't see a predominant college student crowd. It seemed like there was a proportional mix of various categories of people - some older, some younger, hipsters, frat guys, obvious clubbers/bar hoppers, and I guess umm.. normal people(?). I would sum this place up as low-key or casual. Even though it was pretty full and seemed busy it never felt chaotic or cramped. The circular booths are big enough to sit 4-5 people comfortably. The DJ was spinning 50's and 60's funk, soul, and R&B which was cool. I'm not sure if this is typical of Saturday nights but it added to the laid back vibe. A nice change of pace from Top-40 to say the least. They must have straightened out the volume issues because our group was able to hold a conversation pretty easily. Going out to a bar in Fremont has always been a strange experience for me. It seems like no matter the venue, a different type of crowd gathers depending on which day/night of the week it is. So, not really knowing what to expect, I was modestly surprised: If a rating of 1 is a place full of d-bags and a rating of 10 was a place full of snobs I'd rank this place right around the middle. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. Having said all that, I'm sure I'll be back here at sooner rather than later - they do serve alcohol after all, and I do love Fremont.

Love this place, The original cocktails are so so good. they infuse their own whiskeys I recommend the the Hunter & the Hound... at least I am pretty sure thats what its called. as for food get the white truffle mac and cheese on the happy hour menu. to die for!!!

I've been living in the area for almost a year now and I'm disappointed that I'm only finding out about this place now, since I'm moving in less than a week. My roommate told me she came here and had the best bloody Mary she's ever had and insisted we had to go. We went here the other night for drinks and she was absolutely right. As soon as I walked in the door I was blown away by the decor and the homey atmosphere. Since it was too late for a bloody Mary (who orders them after 5:00 P.M?) we opted for their old fashioned, which was one of the best I've had. We glanced at the menu and everything looked really good but we decided for drinks only. Since its my last night in town, we are going back for the bloody Mary's and to try their food. I'd reccomend this place to anyone who likes a well crafted drink with a great atmosphere to enjoy them in.

I come here a lot. Maybe too much. 9 Million has Eagle Rare whiskey, plus kale and broccoli on its happy hour menu. Those menu items alone would leave me singing their praises. But then there's the rest of the whiskey menu, including my new favorite, an Oregon Rogue whiskey. Plus, the options for vegans amount to more than just fries, like the tofu pillows, though the truffle fries without the parmesan are pretty rad too. They also have a whole wall full of board games, including drinking Jinga. With happy hour lasting til 7, that can be dangerous. If it weren't for the fact that the music was "meh" at best the three times they had a singer/songwriter there, and I've had to request a server pay attention to me at the bar before, it would be a definite five stars. Mmmm spicey broccoli and kale with pine nuts....mmmm

This was the final stop on my Annual Birthday Bar Walk this year. Working with the restaurant via Email to secure a spot for my party of 15 was very easy and they were more than accommodating by letting us drop off a cake that afternoon and cutting/serving it after dinner that night. Unfortunately I didn't make it through dinner (sorry to the people sitting next to the bathroom last Saturday as I think I passed them 10 times before I was taken home) BUT my friends and family said their food was good. Many people at my end of the table ordered the Grilled Cheese with Wasabi and enjoyed it. Also, the pizza's seemed to be a hit with the vegetarians in the group. One person did try the "nut loaf" and found it inedible- but really, it's nut loaf, when is it ever edible? Sunday morning I was able to reheat the dinner I missed sharing with my party and was very happy to see the cooks were able to accomodate my gluten allergy. Even reheated the steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli were yummy. Of course, I will have to go back here and try out the food again when I am sober :)

I came in and was not surprised by the lack of service and food...and still tried to make this work. I ordered a drink and that was good - the food was awful. I even stayed and ordered the bartender a free drink and was met with distain even though I made it clear I have a boyfriend and was just there for something deceit. I would never go back again and would not recommend this place. This was after my 6th try of trying to make this place work when I have lived in the neighborhood for 20 years..come on guys a name change does nothing. Wow you guys are really not nice at all

If you were a fan of the Triangle, you'll probably think 9 Million Blah Blah Blah kinda sucks. If you thought the Triangle kinda sucked, you'll really hate 9 Mililasdlfnasdfsd... really?? Who came up with that ridiculous name? I'd like to stab them in the face with a soldering iron. On the plus side, the bartenders weren't falling down drunk, so at least that's an improvement over the Triangle.

The Who, Zepplin, and.....a little Rod Stewert def made our experience at 9 mil. Aside from music and ambiance (which I loved), the drinks were ok but the food was fantastic! I ordered a mojito and my fiance got a local IPA. The mojito was like going out into a field and chomping on grass it was so fresh! However, it was not strong to say the least and "happy hour" price wasn't worth not feeling anything. It hadn't been too long since we had eaten lunch so we decided just to grab a quick happy hour special and we're very pleasantly suprised by the grilled casear salad. That actually is an understatement- It blew me away! From then on we risked gorging ourselves by ordering the truffle mac n cheese. It was better than ok...but not fantastic. But then again, I'm REALLY particular about my mac n cheese. P.S. The little baskets of trival pursuit cards made a great time into a fun time! Can I just say that one of the bartenders looked like a young, long haired, part native american, Norm Macdonald, who embodied the steampunk-french-canadian-furtrader vibe!?.....and it was AMAZING! As far as the crowd that people are commenting on...its hard for me to say much as we went at an odd time and we are recent transplants from Indianapolis. But I will say that on multiple occasions we've been told that we physically embodied "Fremont" and had a flavor that really fit in there....and I wear A LOT of sequins and stillettos if I'm in the mood. I'll also where a crochet beard or 5 in platform demonia stomper boots if it fits my mood. We shouldn't be too quick to judge others around us...PLUS, enjoy yourself. Be yourself. And ignore everyone else. And hey...maybe it really did smell like hotdogs in that bathroom. LOL

Came here for a birthday party. My friend was able to reserve most of the tables in the back room area for her birthday which was very nice. They had a great and interesting set of cocktails. Some using Peychaud's bitters of which I am a fan. But, if you are not a fan of licorice flavors, stay away from the Sazarac. And the Toronto cocktail was really bitter. They keep a bottle of water and glasses on the tables for you to stay hydrated which is great since their drinks are pretty strong. The environment was LOUD. I couldn't hear the people across the table from me unless we all shouted. They also had weird black and white movies playing above the small bar in back. I say it's weird mostly because the HD tv they had played at 120 Hz which gives a hyper-real film quality to any movie. It just makes old movies look a little surreal. Which I guess, could be a plus if you had enough to drink. At some point in the evening they flipped on some sort of horror/comedic film where a skeleton ripped its way out of a human body and ran around and jumped on people. That was amusing, except the people eating rare lamb burgers were a little grossed out when the skeleton burst itself out of the character's skin. Happy hour began at 11pm. People with the lamb burgers enjoyed them. I only ate some hot nuts which were nice, but really were just nuts that were warmed :) There were nice tables outside to sit at and enjoy the Seattle evening if you'd like.

Loved the atmosphere and the drinks were amazing! The server was one of the dumbest servers I've ever met--she would literally space out and stare out the window as she took our drink orders and then ended up putting the entire bill on my debit card. Luckily she voided the transaction, but how hard is it to keep tabs separate? If you need help splitting it, let us know :)

Located a stone's throw from the center of the Universe in Fremont, 9 Million in Unmarked Bills is an intriguing place that gets going around 11 o'clock at night (as it seems most Fremont places do). The first time we stopped in, it was for a quick drink after dinner (and to use the bathroom). The place was pretty empty, but the congenial bar tender explained that the crowds don't come in until late in Fremont (we were new to Seattle). In the empty bar, I was able to examine the space and envision what a packed night at 9 Million must be like. Dancing, two bars, lots of people--not too young (like most places in U-District) but not too old (typical Fremont crowd). The room empty seemed almost cold, but I knew that that would translate to cool at night as packed bodies jockeyed for spots at the bar. A few weeks later we decided to check out 9 Million while it was in full swing. It was pretty much just as I imagined. Its pretty cool, the drinks are decent, and it wasn't impossible to find a table. No happy hour on the weekends, which I guess is pretty standard. The small plate style dishes are above bar food standards. Definitely a good place to start your night out in Fremont.

Fancy old-school cocktails were good. Happy hour menu looked decent and cheap. Some fine lookin' folks all around. THE MUSIC WAS SO LOUD I WANTED TO DIE. I couldn't talk to anyone, I couldn't tell if people could hear me. Only go if you can sit outside where the music is blissfully only at 159 dB, instead of 900,000 dB. Also, if you go to the back part of the bar, the bartender has to use a cheat sheet for their own list of signature cocktails... not a good sign.

Despite its awkward name, I found $9 Million in Unmarked Bills to be an excellent Fremont find. To preface this review, I'll clarify that I was there from about 5:00 - 9:30 pm on a sunny Saturday, so happy hour was in effect, there was no cover charge, and no blaring dance club music. Any one of these things would have reduced my opinion of the place, but as it was, I give two thumbs-up. I only went to the Triangle once many years ago, and I really don't remember much about it. Thus, I can't comment on what kind of transformation has or hasn't taken place. I will tell you, however, that $9 Million (can I just abbreviate like that?) has a cool retro vibe, with overstuffed gray booths, select antiques for decor, and beverages named after storied gangsters of another era. Our table service was excellent, and we were riveted by the supply of Trivial Pursuit cards provided. Many other board games are on-hand as well. The $5 HH plates were shockingly generous in portion, and I really enjoyed my excellent Grilled Caesar Salad. The Sauteed Broccoli & Kale, while unusual on a HH menu, also was well-received. My White Truffle Mac & Cheese was the sole disappointment, as it was simply far too greasy for me to enjoy. As the weather was favorable, $9 Million had its "garage door" up and we were able to enjoy the fresh air while sitting in our comfy booth. We left long before the Fremont scene tends to veer into obnoxious territory, and I can only rave about $9 Million as an afternoon/early-evening bar stop.

Being new to the Seattle area, this bar actually appealed to me because of it's name (even though other reviewers hate it). While in Seattle, walking around in the middle of the day, looking for an apartment, my girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place. The bartender was pleasant and very helpful when recommending local beers and sharing information about the area. We had such a nice experience, we decided to come back once we had finished with the move. So, one night after dinner we swung by here. Overall, the bar wasn't my usual "scene." I prefer laid-back neighborhood bars instead of club-ish bars with intense music and the whole meat market atmosphere...with that said, this place wasn't as bad in that regard as it possibly could have been. The food menu looked good and I liked the design and theme of the place. Definitely a spot to come back to - but probably with a bigger group...and you sort of have to be in the mood for it.

Good food. Well priced drinks. Bartender was nice but waitresses weren't attentive at all. Had the steak sandwich with au jus that came with a salad and a $7.50 boiler maker and that made my night. Will definitely come back here again in the future.

Love the hodge-podge atmosphere (re-fashioned water bottle - they use to be alcohol bottles)! Service was quick & friendly! Was here only for a few drinks before our work meeting but the house red was delicious! Red wines can be bitey (burn on the way down) but this wasn't! Will definitely be back when I have more time!

Stopped in last night on an impromptu Fremont bar crawl. I don't get out to Fremont much anymore because a lot of places I used to frequent feel like college hang outs now, so I was unaware that The Triangle had gone out of business and 9 Million in Unmarked Bills had taken it's place. First off, the decor is awesome. It feels a bit more upscale then the usual Fremont bars - the over-sized grey velvet booths are awesome. As are the beer taps, which are surrounded by ice/dry ice? I touched them, but the bartender warned me not to stick my tongue on it. :) Speaking of bartender... he was GREAT. We had Matt, or "Moose" is his nickname. Totally friendly and fun guy. He handed over their "Game Menu," which is a list of the games they offer up to their patrons. My friend and I noticed a Jenga game, which we asked if it was Drinking Jenga - it was not. So Matt let us sit at the bar with a Sharpie and pen and overhaul it into Drinking Jenga. If you go there and play, let me know what you think of our handy work. :) We didn't eat, but Matt told us they were famous for their truffle fries. I'll most definitely be heading back to check them out...

Rest in peace Triangle lounge. I didn't know how to feel about one of my favorite bars selling out, but I had to give the new place there much deserved chance to impress me. At first glance the place looks nice, smells better and seemed to be hopping. I made the slow crawl to the bar. The once favorable high boy tables that looked out onto 36th have been replaced with huge booths which make the already lack of space even more closed in and difficult to navigate. They face into the bar, which makes sense, but also eliminates that cool aspect of watching the outside world from inside, and getting that view of whats going on from the street in case it was dead you could move on quickly. Its more of a club atmosphere than anything else. Which isn't fremont in my opinion. I guess they were confused on the clientele that they hoped to attract, because I've yet to see a "socialite" but I've seen a sh#t ton of Fremites. which are going to destroy this bar. Walking into the restroom I noticed an all to familiar site. Empty busch ice cans littering the room. But this time they were on highend fixtures that wont last the summer. The urinals are so close you cross streams with the guy next to you. The drink selection was pretty decent, although they lost points for ditching the 16oz. Aluminum bottles of Bud-light and replacing it with coors. ( YEAH ) the bartenders seem to do just fine, but I really didn't see a lot of people ordering drinks. My biggest complaint would have to be the newly added "DJ". The music was playing at a Dance Club level, which last time I checked, this place has no dance floor. I had to use sign language to communicate. It could be toned down a lot, or ditched all together for that matter. Some people were dressed nice, but a lot more were in the average post frat, fremite, college attire. which is what I expected. This place's interior will not hold up to the abuse that the Triangles crowd delivers. The traingle was crude for a reason. The crowd seemed to disperse rather early for a weekend, I turned around around 12:30 and almost half of the bar had disappeared I'm not saying I wont go here, it is a bar after all, it just might not be the first place I check out anymore.

Love this place! Went on a Sunday and sat in a cushy booth with the garage type doors open wide to the afternoon and the groovy Fremont vibe. The Grilled Cheese, Prosciutto pizza, White Truffle Fries, and the Popcorn shrimp had great presentation surpassed only by the flavors. Great staff, super friendly, excellent drinks and a fabulous selection of beers, including the Northwest favorite, Mac N Jacks. Can't wait to go back;) Definitely going to spread the word about this great joint with the fabulous atmosphere.

My friend and I decided to check this place out for lunch and a drink. The reviews sparked my curiosity and the website made it a must-visit. Parking was hell, but there was a market happening (I did not know about the market) so that made sense. I got there early so I sat at the bar and ordered the Ransom Note, a gin-based drink with Ransom gin, Yazi ginger vodka, whiskey barrel bitters, orange twists, and a neat little cinnamon stick (I feel like every review I write has some reference to alcohol...is that bad?). =) Needless to say, it packed a punch and I liked it. I'm not a whiskey drinker so this drink did me well. My friend arrived maybe ten minutes later and we ordered food. She ordered the mac n' cheese and I got the havarti cheese burger. The food came pretty quickly and looked gooooood on the plates. I tried a forkful of my friend's mac n' cheese and it was GOOD. White cheddar goodness with truffle oil and bechamel (white sauce). The sauce and cheese were creamy and the noodles were al dente. So many places make mac n' cheese and use a cheese that is too sharp or simply too strong for the dish. 9 Mill's choice of white cheddar with the bechamel is superb. As for my order, the havarti cheese burger, it was a perfect medium (just as I ordered it). Kobe beef is used for the burgers and it was juicy, thick, filled the bun, and forms a great marriage with the havarti cheese. 9 Mill spreads a little mayonnaise on the bun to add some moisture, something many places tend not to do. I'm someone who prefers the bun be dressed a little and if I want more on it, I can add it, which brings me to the spicy aioli. The aioli was for the fries, but I added it to the burger and it brought some tang and a slight bite that worked for me. The cheese was gooey and hung off the burger. I love it. It must have been a lighter havarti because it wasn't as creamy or heavy as I remember the cheese, but because it was light, it complimented the burger nicely. The tomatoes were juicy and a deep red color, sprinkled with pepper. There was also some red onion so I added a couple of rings on the burger. YUMMY BURGER! I got the truffle fries with my burger and they were okay. I was more into the burger than anything, so next time I'll add a salad or soup if I get a burger. There was also a DJ spinnin jazz; it was cool, but didn't really fit the place. I also like how the water is kept in tall wine bottles on the bar for easy access. All in all, 9 Million in Unmarked Bills is a chill spot with two TVs, the feel of a large speakeasy, and decor that makes you forget it's light outside. The bartender is cool...his beard and haircut remind me of Zach Galifianakis and I mean that as a total compliment, plus he has a sense of humor. The drinks are stiff, the food is great, and the staff is nice. I'll definitely be back to check out happy hour cuz I know it has to be good.

Absolute worst bartender I've ever had. Greasy long haired dude. Attitude from the minute we stepped in and complained the whole time we ordered drinks. Decent spot, but TERRIBLE service. He literally cursed at us for ordering shots and does not deserve your business.

Finally made it here after wanting to come for years. I always meant to come for bingo and never made it in and now bingo has gone away. Here's to hoping they bring it back soon! Lots of menu items for happy hour, 5$ each from 4-7. No super great drink specials though and some appetizers seem much larger than others. The macaroni and cheese is huge. Tried the tofu pillows, brocolli and kale, and the tempura brussel sprouts. Waitresses were working hard as this place was crazy busy. I love the atmosphere here, so decorative. Never been to the location before it became 9 mil, but I hear they did an excellent job changing it up. There are a few other menu items that caught my eye so I will probably give it another try sometime in the future. Vegetarian meatloaf sounds impressive and there is a beet tower item calling my name. Bathrooms truly remind me my friend's cabin where there are actual outhouses, not sure that I love this, but it does give the place character.

mediocre food. even worse service. i was intrigued by this place, so I went to check it out on a friday night for a late dinner. after we got seated it took forever and a year for the server to arrive. i wasn't impressed with their drink menu - if you're into (expensive) gin drinks it might peak your interest. i ordered the mac n cheese and it was nothing special. my boyfriend had a burger and asked for ketchup... 10 minutes later, nothing. so we asked the busser/host after he got done seating the table behind us and walked by... he said he'd tell our waitress... 5 minutes later, nothing. the waitress finally shows back up to the table and says, "oh i'm sorry i forgot your ketchup, i'll go grab it".... 15 minutes later nothing. she must've completely forgot because she didn't apologize when she brought our check. they weren't rude, just absent minded and slow.

I liked their (manly, non-froufrou) drinks, I liked their karaoke bar, and the narrow space means that there are few people to directly heckle you when you, er, sing Ace of Base, "The Sign" with your friends at the top of your lungs. Cool name, can't wait to go back and actually try their food at an hour when decent folk are out and aboot.

I've been here three times, and will continue to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood. I love the bar itself, it's a warm atmosphere that makes you feel at ease. The menu shows that they care about food just as much as they do the drinks, and the prices are great! The service has always been good, and I enjoy the outdoor seating area when weather is good.

This place is great, especially if you can find a place to park. It gets super packed as the evening passes, but just an excuse to get cozy with your neighbor. Lots and lots of guys. Girls, check this place out. Boys, stay away, there are too many of you already! Try a man deprived spot like Pink for some play!

First off this place has a truffle mac n cheese that rivals anything Beecher's puts out. Hands down one of the best happy hour menus around. Lamb sliders, truffle salted fries, calamari. Tons of fantastic stuff. The veggie meatloaf sandwich has been mentioned in other reviews as fantastic, which it is. The BBQ chicken sandwich is also completely phenomenal. Brenden, Mike, and Frieburger (spelling?) are fantastic bartenders that have always treated me with class and respect. The rotating taps are great, consistently offering great NW brews, and always in season. To address the "frat factor": Yes, UW college boys frequent this place, usually pretty late. I have been here dozens of times, among the College Brahs, with no problem. If you wish to avoid them, just enjoy this great bar before 11pm. A little fist pump never hurt anyone, right?

Walking into this place I immediately was attracted to the big bar and booths on the side. I loved the sign that said "Prescriptions" on top of the bar. It made my day. We sat outside on their oddly triangular shaped building patio. And I fell in love with the back bar area. Think huge high booth! My drink here was much sweeter than I anticipated and I politely asked for another. Sadly the bartender was a little put off, thinking I was being whiny or something, but whatever. I wasn't about to drink a cocktail I didn't enjoy. I have graduated out of the "drink it or lose it" stage of my life. Other than that, I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Especially the PAC MAN machine for 50 cents! Too bad I need to hone my skills to ever defeat Michael L!

I am a local Fremont gal, so I was really hoping third the time would be a charm at this place. However, the bartender was more interested in flirting with his girlfriend than waiting on me. It was still early this particular visit, so he was not busy. I sat there and finished my dinner with my drink completely empty. I waited for 10 minutes while he finished some prep work behind the bar, all the while chatting it up with his girlfriend. Then I waited another 3 - 5 minutes while he circled the bar looking for other things to prep. I began to wonder if he was even there to tend the bar, or just prep for the night and flirt with his girlfriend. I eat out 3-5 times a week, and I know it's not that tough to check on the only two people at your bar by asking, "would you like another glass of wine"?... "can I get you anything else"? I will NEVER go back! Bummer for this Fremont gal!

Here early during a dude's night out...started with one of the specialties, thanks to group-think and a palate that caters more towards hops than spirits. Had the Old Fashioned, which was just strong enough, the Maker's piercing through the sugar & citrus undertones. Service was quick & friendly, and the (ignored) Ms. Pac-Man machine was a nice touch. But...$9 for a cocktail made with Old Crow? C'mon! Maybe it's hip to put that stuff in a drink here, but it ain't fit to mix with a warm RC Cola.

Good food. Happy hour fair is nice. Good selection of whiskeys. The bartender I had both times I went was awesome. Impeccable service. Nice atmosphere.

We really enjoy coming here for their happy hour. The small bites are all pretty good, especially the truffled mac-n-cheese and the sliders. A word of caution though: of our group of five who comes here regularly, two of us have had the bartender LOSE our cards. One time he gave the card to the wrong party, and another time he lost it completely. I suppose paying in cash is your best bet at an establishment that employs someone so careless.

Tonight was a slow night, after apparent craziness for the fourth of July. The bartender was totally friendly, and the service great. Bartender was also ridiculously cute, but maybe that's just me. Truffle fries were quite tasty, and both the bartender and chef (thankfully) shared with me. I wouldn't have been able to finish them otherwise. The "lucky Luciano" was delicious. The sazerac was too manly for my taste - I couldn't handle it and got a Mac & jacks amber ale instead - a very tasty and multiple layered beer. Wow! I had a great time. Kinda divey, but not sketch at all. Great time, even on a mild Monday night.

I was in here last year and had sliders which I kind of remember as being pretty good. This time, I just had a beer and the parmesian truffle fries. They were Incredible. These might be the best fries I ever had. I guess I need to come back some more of the happy hour stuff.

9 Million is a solid 4 star in my book. I have dreams of eeating the mac & cheese it's to die for. Bartenders are always personable and mix the drinks great. It can get just a little cramped inside cause it's a pretty small place, but it has a cozy gastropub feel to it. Nice place to go after work or a spot to grab a quick bite to eat.

I had dinner here with a friend and it also happened to be happy hour. The $5 mint juleps were strong and delicious. The menu was inventive and very veggie friendly. We had the broccoli and kale, really good if you like spicy and garlicky (I do). I had the black bean veggie burger with truffle fries. Wow, the fries were so so good. My only wish is that I could be more of a whiskey connoisseur because their selection was huge. I will definitely be back. Great service, cool vibe and awesome happy hour selections.

Solid bar for drinking. This bar has a lot of personality yet is very down to earth. A great place to either start or end your night... and I'm pretty sure the middle part wouldn't be so bad either!

Awesome happy hour menu! The wasabi grilled cheese is ridiculous and the mac & cheese was pretty good too.

My boyfriend and I wanted a nice place with outdoor seating in Fremont. I thought the beer selection was pretty good, but my boyfriend didn't care for it. He said they all tasted off, not very good. This place is very trendy. its a great place to go with a group of friends for a night on the town, or if you are on the prowl. For my boyfriend and I though, it was just kinda weird. I definitely didn't care for the service, or the people, but the patio was nice on a warm summer evening. That's about the only time I would go back there.

This place has real potential but the service needs work. My boyfriend and I came here on a quiet Sunday afternoon and waited ages to get menus, then to order, then to get drinks, then to get our check. When we finally got the check we put a credit card out and some waiter (not our waitress) took it and said he'd take care of it for us. We waited at LEAST half an hour then my boyfriend went inside and tracked down the waitress, who had our bill in her apron pocket. She gave it to us and started telling us how she ran into someone and started talking and time just got away from her. The food is good and the drinks are delicious, but the service needs some real work. I get the impression they just don't care that much, or maybe they see themselves as more of a bar than a restaurant. Well, if you have menus and tables and waitstaff, I think you should probably assume people want the servers to do their jobs. Still a solid place and I'd recommend it if you're in the neighborhood and have some time to wait.

9 Million has a decent atmosphere. It's a little crowded, the seating is comfortable, and the music is unfortunate classic rock (I can probably go my entire life without ever hearing Hotel California again). The whiskey menu is respectable, but not remarkable for a self-identified whiskey bar (there weren't a lot of brands or styles I was unfamiliar with and I am hardly a whiskey aficionado). The cocktail selection is alright, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The Ransom Note cocktail was too herbal and bitter (read: medicinal) and the service was polite (our waitress was very nice), but hardly prompt. I would stop in here, but I wouldn't consider this a destination in itself.

This place is great. Come here for happy hour. They have a ton of good vegetarian options and the food is awesome for being served at a bar. All of the servers are really attractive and helpful. Same goes for the hunky bartenders. My favorite part about it is the Boilermaker (a pint of PBR and a shot of well whiskey for $6). It's simply a steal.

i reserved the back bar of 9M to host a party. at first it was easy, then it went wrong, then we left and promised to tongue-lash on yelp. the easy part: the manager was accommodating and responsive via email in the days leading up to the party. i was able to reserve the back bar, name a drink after the guest of honor, etc. it all went wrong: a few hours before the party the manager emailed to say that the other group sharing the back bar had grown in size and kicked us out. 1.) a little more notice would have been nice. 2.) wait, there's another group sharing the back bar!? 3.) who runs the place, the patrons or the manager? when we arrived they gave us a few booths in the main room that are not good for a party. since sharing the back bar was apparently out of the question (and since we didn't want to get mad or hang out at a place that didn't care about us) we stayed for one drink and hit the road. there are plenty of places to get good cocktails and food in fremont so, thankfully, there's no reason to go back to 9M.

I wasn't intending on going to this place but my friends were here and I was hungry. They have a really good selection of booze and their cocktails seem intriguing. They also had some pretty good beers on tap. Where they really won me over was the Vegetarian Meatloaf Sandwich. It was delicious. It was on nice bread, a good texture and covered in some delicious BBQ sauce. It also came with avocado, onion and tomato if you're into that. I just ate it straight up. I ordered it with the Truffle Parm Fries. They were pretty good too. Everyone else I was with seemed to like them more than I did but I'm not really that into parm... The sauce they came with tho was amazing. The mac and cheese however I stole a bite of was quite bland. It needed something more. Everyone was jealous of my food. :) The booth we were sitting in was very big and suuuuper comfy. The waitress was quick and fairly attentive. It looks like their patio situation would be really nice in the summer time. I will most likely be back here for that delicious veggie meatloaf.

Super cute inside and excellent patio with full sun all afternoon! A friend and I had a great Saturday lunch here - I ordered the grilled caesar and tofu pillows and my friend had the burger and the truffle mac and cheese. Everything was super tasty and we were happy with the food and service. Decent prices and great wait staff!

Good goat cheese pizza, but I wasn't a fan of their cocktails. They looked interesting on the board, but just did not taste good at all, even when the bartender added simple syrup. When asked for something sweeter, I got something almost as bitter. :(

This funky corner bar has an even funkier name... sometimes I want to go there just so I can say, "I'm going to 9 million in unmarked bills tonight", although some of my friends think its a bit much. It has a pretty classy interior with a nice drinks menu to match, and some tasty food. A little on the pricier end, but its worth it for a more relaxed, classy evening out. And I do love the table with an endlessly scrolling arcade machine demo on top - so mesmerizing! Especially if the conversation gets a little bland.

Don't even waste your time, it's a cute place but the service wasn't very good and the food was worse. I ordered a salad that wasn't really a salad it was half a not so ripe tomato with a few chucks of cheese, thank GOD I got some chicken on the side but that was dry and you would hae though the woman had to hand craft my coke for as long as she took to bring it. Pictures of dead mob members on the table didn't make the food any better. It was way over priced for nothing, my meal was ten dollars and you know it cost them 3 from the looks of it and it wasn't good. I wouldn't bother.

I stand by what I said about the stupid theme and decor but I stopped by again and had some food and I've got to give the place the bump to 3 stars. The truffle fries...delicious! I'm happy to have a place to get them in my neighborhood, even if it is at a "gangster bar."

I went when the place first opened. This is usually when I like a bar since it's not crowded. There was plenty of seating and large tables for my friends and me, which was nice. However, the food was overprices and mediocre at best. Drinks were pretty standard. Atmosphere was not my cup of tea: bland and lacking in personality. There's absolutely no reason to go here when there are so many better bars just a stone's throw away.

Happy Hour here is great! I've always had consistently good food. Service can be somewhat spotty, though -- one waitress is awesome and the other is a total space cadet. The indoor ambiance is great for a gray, rainy day, and there is plenty of outdoor seating for a sunny one. I live in the neighborhood so come here often, and I've never been disappointed by the food or drinks -- just the service sometimes.

it's still being finished. stopped in after a long day at work and a tough last meeting for a couple of beers. got the hoegarden. it was on tap and with a slice of orange it was good! i don't go to Fremont much, but it was a good enough place to stop in and have a drink. the place is still brand new and they are putting the finishing touches on it. not too shabby!

It really bums me out to give this such a bad review. We just moved to Fremont and were really looking for a good outdoor place to go before hitting up the 4th fireworks... boy choosing this place was a mistake. First we got there and stood for 10 min. before someone finally came and said they would be there in a min. to seat us. Oh and I should say...they were not busy! When we came in there must have been only about 10 tables seated. We finally get a seat outside and wait another 10 min. for the waitress to come over and take our drink and food order. So we all give her our dinner order and order the popcorn shrimp as an appetizer. Well a half an hour later... long after we finished our cold drinks on a warm day, my friend finally had to ask the bus boy to send out our waitress to come back so we could order another round of drinks. After we were drinking our second round we saw people that had sat well after us getting their food and we still hadn't even gotten the appetizer. Well after about 45 min. they finally brought us the shrimp and with it, brought us absolutely dirty silverware with napkins on it that had red sauce all over them. Our friend asked our waitress how much longer the meal was going to be because the fireworks were going to be starting soon and other people that had gotten there after us had already got their food. She said sorry they were super busy, but they WERE NOT. And... that doesn't account for people getting their meals before us and the waitress not coming back to the table to see how everything is going. Be an attentive waitress, especially if you are busy and the kitchen is slow. So after eating the shrimp and waiting another 15 min, we couldn't wait any longer. We were going to miss the fireworks so our friend went in and cancelled our order. We got there at 8:15... it was now 9:40, we couldn't believe it. The guy at the counter said ok and told the waitress... literally 5 min later she brought out the food and we were already packing up to pay and head out, so she completely ignored what the guy at the counter said. We said...no we told them we cancelled the order, paid and left. It was ridiculous. I 100% know she forgot to put in our order and that is that. We had to run to PCC and grab something then head straight down to the water just in time for the show. I will not be going back there.

So.... it's pretty much exactly the same as the Triangle, but painted all gray and black... with giant soft suede booths instead of those great tables along the windows, and a name that doesn't roll off the tongue? Huh.

after living in fremont for 2 years, this place is still my favorite of the fremont bar scene. they have $2 beers anytime anyday(easily the best in town) they have a cashbar for quick service. they have plenty of private seating, and open area for meeting babes. i like their music. you can't find music like this anywhere else in seattle. its all oldschool (think earth, wind, and fire) and just makes you feel good. their food menu is also pretty nice, unique really. lamb sliders come to mind but i might be drunk right now...

Love it!!! Love it!!! I really have a great time ever time. It has a great cozy feel to it and very clean. The most surprising part about the change is the food. It is great. I literally crave the grilled cheese sandwich. It is nothing like your mother made. I highly recommend it for a chill night with some friends or even by yourself!

Great food and yes, a different vibe than whatever a Fremont bar is supposed to be. That is why i like it. If I picture what you think a Fremont bar is supposed to be, there is no shortage of places with different names and different vibes from 15th west to Stone way that will have appeal.

Went to 9M last night for Wednesday Bingo. Had a blast. Not too crowded, great atmosphere, good drink specials. Very fun. I was a little surprised to see so many negative reviews and would chalk it up to Freemont's Friday and Saturday night scene being a bit of a different demographic than the "school night" crowd.

I disliked this place when it was called the Triangle and I detest it now. The main reason I don't like this place is the people it seems to attract, stereotypical frat boys and sorority girls. I don't think this place quite fits in with what people expect from a Fremont bar. The place is not large enough for it to be a proper "club" so everyone ends up crowding around the bar which makes it hard to get a drink. If you are looking for a club type place located in Fremont I would recommend going to The Ballroom across the street instead.

9 Million was a unique find during my trip to Seattle last August. How often does a vegetarian order an veggie burger and it comes out with veggie bacon on it? LOVED IT! Good food, fun atmosphere, will go again next time I'm in Seattle!

being that i have a lot of platonic friends of the male persuasion, i often get asked, "why don't you date so-and-so?" my response, "why don't you??" while my relationship with these gents may end at "just friends", i do try my best to use my womanly wiles and wing-(wo)man when possible. one of these such occasions took place at the now defunct triangle lounge in fremont. seething with frat boys and one-liners, this bar was devoid of finesse and craft cocktails (though i did get more action from a girl that my friend was eyeing than he did). a lot has changed since then, and in 2009, a new bar rose like a phoenix out of the traingle's ashes. with a verbose name of 9 million in unmarked bills, the space has been redecorated with a bonnie and clyde theme and basic cocktail menu. however, it takes more than new wallpaper and tabletops to reinvent a space, and the clientele still smelled of triangle. to worsen what might have been an otherwise mediocre experience, amateur comedy night drove the nail in the coffin. leave it to our very own danish princess and a most excellent story of swans and iphones to salvage the evening with side-splitting laughter.
