Four of us went to Memories yesterday for lunch. Two of us were from Spokane and two were from Soap Lake. We had excellent service and our dietary needs were all met with a smile. Portions were large. My husband and I took ours home for another meal. The husband has been on the search for an old fashion ruben sandwich and that is what he got from this establishment-he was very happy! I had a quesadilla and it easily could have fed two people. Our side salads were really good too! Our friends raved about their taco salads. Prices on the menu were no different than here in Spokane or any other surrounding community. We have plans to go back.

Excellent service. Great homemade food. I recommend the grilled ham and cheese or BLT!

Based on a check of Yelp, we wanted to go to Casuela's grill -- but that no longer exists (at this address at least, we thought we might have seen it elsewhere in Ritzville although we couldn't recall exactly where and google/yelp was of no help) and has been replaced by Memories Diner... It was 100 degrees out and we were hungry, so we decided to eat here anyway. Despite the very tacky decorations in the window (a row of children's dresses? seems a little bit strange...) but, hey, it's a small town of 1600 people, they're entitled to be a little different from what we see everywhere else. the menu was relatively limited. Most "true" diners will have very extensive menus and certain things that i'd expect to find at any diner (for example, a tuna melt) were not on their menu. We got a burger and a BLT. Both were quite good. The onion rings were also delicious. Throughout our meal I was getting an odd menacing stare-down from a 70+ yr-old geezer across the way. I'm not sure how welcoming the locals are in this town; this one guy looked like he wanted to get up and bat me over the head with his cane, if only it were a decade earlier and he still had the energy to stand up. Not sure what he overheard me say, or what I was wearing that pissed him off so badly, but it was a little bit creepy. Needless to say if you're not from the local town everyone in the restaurant will know it, this isn't a place that's getting a helluva lot of tourist traffic. Bottom lines: 1) the food is reasonably good, but on the pricey side for what you get (8 or 9 bucks each for the double cheeseburger and the BLT if my memory is correct). It's a nice break from the taco-del-mar/subway/mcdonald's crap immediately off of the highway, though. 2) their menu is relatively limited, disappointing overall. In my opinion this isn't a true 'diner'. 3) Be aware: Ritzville really is a small town and if you either a) don't look like them or b) don't talk like them, you might be up for a confrontation with an elderly farmer with a chip on his shoulder. oh, also, they don't deliver checks to the tables when you're done eating. You just go to the cash register and they figure it all out on the fly. We figured that out after sitting around a bit waiting for the bill to come (it never did).

This diner is under new management, and they certainly have their act together now. The menu is simple, typical modern American fare, but they do prep and serve quickly which is handy for busy travellers. The club sandwich is unorthodox, but the flavors balance well. The Philly cheese-steak sandwich doesn't resemble anything from the city of brotherly love, and is also delicious. French fries are hand cut real potatoes, not the Frankenfood so frequently served in other establishments. The proprietor is warm and friendly. This little gem is worth a stop for lunch.

We went to the Blue Bike but the restaurant was for sale. So we looked the historic downtown and we found the Memories Diner. We were traveling through but we noticed most of the people eating there were locals -- always a good sign. My husband had the meatloaf special with onion rings. He is very picky about onion rings and he thought these were among the best he has had. Also, the meatloaf was flavorful. I had the Hawaiian wrap which was loaded with sliced ham. The loaded baked potato soup was creamy and good. We shared a lemon pie. The food was good and portions were generous. Pie piece was certainly big enough to share. The prices were reasonable. The decor features a lot of photos from the history of the town. We were very glad we found this place.

I only had a piece of pie and an orange juice so it's not much to go on but I can tell you the chocolate pie was excellent with some of the best pie crust ever. The place is very pleasant and spotless. I like the way it was decorated with lots of interesting historical photos of Ritzville. (Which is a very neat little town and worth seeing, if like me, you are a fan of small town Americana.) I had a very pleasant chat with the owner. Him and his wife were both very friendly and welcoming. If I'm ever back in that area again I'll for stop in. If I had more to go on this could quite possibly be a five star review.

A very nice place to eat. Clean and the food is tasty and fresh. Staff is friendly. I had the bean and bacon soup and half turkey sandwich.

Nice people, excellent service, decor that could seen as kitschy but also kept enough of the historical ambience of the Circle T Cafe that preceded it. Sandwiches were thick and grilled to perfection, and I much appreciated the vegetarian wrap on the menu. Fries a little soft/undercooked, our only food complaint. A pretty classic diner in downtown Ritzville, a place with that small town America vibe - yes, maybe they've seen better days but they are still alive and kicking.

Great little local diner. Excellent chicken fried steak, real mashed potatoes with skins, and a respectable liver and onions. Great service. Lotsa locals. Comfortable too.

This was recommended by Jamie, the manager of the Top Hat Motel. Her parents have been running this restaurant for the past two years and have done a marvelous job. They are very friendly, efficient, and make really fresh food. We got a couple of variations on the chicken salads. The shredded chicken was very loosely shredded, not the really finey shredded that I was fearing. Very meaty, nicely grilled. We asked to substitute the mango peach salsa for the dressing and that was a fabulous choice. The homemade peach tea, which is unsweetened so you can sweeten to your own taste, was also very tasty. All reasonably priced and nicely done in this historic building and downtown district.

Wonderful food and great service. The French Dip was delicious and roast beef was perfectly prepared. Generous proportions. The chicken avocado wrap was wonderful and big! Tender chicken and lots of it. Great simple food and friendly server. Love the pictures on the table sharing the history. You only find these gems in a small town.

Cute little diner! Stopped in on our way from Seattle to Yellowstone and it was a fun town/place to find. I ordered the French Dip w/ onion rings (good! Meat was shredded up like a cheesesteak which was different but all in all good) and my buddy ordered the meatloaf (he said it was good). A woman was managing the service and was running around like crazy so we weren't as attended to (8+ minutes for a refill) but in a mom and shop place it wasn't the end of the world. We grabbed a deck of cards-they have them scattered around- and played a card game while we waited which was fun.

We stumbled upon Memories on a drive down that stretch of highway on our way back home to Portland. We couldn't have been more impressed with their food. Classic dishes, well done, with a big helping of friendly from the staff. I had the meatloaf and it was really great. My wife had the taco salad and really liked it. They were great with our 2 year old, giving her toys and letting her roam around the dining room. Great spot in a rather out-of-the-way town.

The meatloaf was nothing short of awesome! The only issue I had is the owner was doing too many jobs at once. She was the cook, greeter, waitress and everything else. I understand that she's probably going lean on Sundays but it made my food really late, refills slow and I heard other customers missing a straw and really upset about the wait. I'm sure it's not always like this, I'm sure I would give this place 5 stars if they were staffed and I returned.

The French dip is amazing and the fresh cut fries are delicious but not crispy. The owner was so sweet and friendly. I would certainly stop again

Nice place to eat. My wife and I were looking for a place off the highway and that wasn't a chain. This was the perfect fit. I got the Chicken and Bacon sandwich and my wife had the Chicken Strips. I really enjoyed the Chicken and Bacon sandwich, crispy and flavorful. Definitely a great place and we would go back.
