Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

So I give this place three stars only because their burgers were excellent and our server Beth was awesome. I went there for my birthday. What made me upset was- It was 7pm and my husband got a burger with soup as his side of choice. They were out of soup.. which is the only soup they have, and said they could scrape up the bottom which tastes better but it will only be almost a cup full instead of a bowl. He asked if they would discount his meal and they said no, technically you're paying for the burger. The sides are just extras. So that made me upset. Then they brought out our food letting us know they were out of mushrooms. We asked what they were going to do about that, and then again the MANAGER laughed and said that they don't discount when you subtract items. When technically they were out! How inconvenient for us right? I'm going to call and complain. Just wondering how effective that would be when it was the MANAGER I have an issue with.

Menu doesn't include appetizers or anything really other than burgers and fish entrees. Was expecting it to be more of a well-rounded burger place with appetizers like onion rings, mozzarella sticks, etc. but there just aren't many choices. I was disappointed.

We had such a great time tonight. Shannon was our server in the bar and was just a delight to be around. She is so fun and carries on such good conversation. We will definitely return just for the amazing service and food.

We tried Bob's out when it first opened and were not impressed at all. We got a coupon recently, buy a burger and get a burger free, so decided to give it another shot. None of the wait staff can even muster up a smile, they all looked miserable and it was not busy when we were there. The coupon was had a value of $12.00 max. I didn't really want a burger, I wanted a salad which are the exact same prices of the burgers so I asked if we could do that. "The manager said no" was the answer I got. I realize what the coupon said but figured any place that wants to keep your business would want to provide some customer service. So, we ordered our burgers, rare. They were medium well done at best, greasy and bacon very undercooked. And, what I really can't get over is that this "burger" place uses processed cheese. Who does that???? Anyway, that was our last trip there no matter how many coupons we get. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. I gave this 2 stars, only because the salad dressing was good, that I got for my side salad.

This locations posted hours are until 11:00PM Sunday night. I arrived at 10:24 and was turned away, employee stated they had changed the hours to 10:00PM regardless what Yelp and their door showed. They had plenty of patrons in the facility still. I stopped by this facility twice before; 1st time the wait for a table was ridiculously long so I left, 2nd time they were slow and it took 3 employees to decide where I could be seated. Unfortunately I will not return, 3rd time was not a charm.

Went Tuesday evening during a crowded time. Only a short wait that is pretty typical at all South Hill restaurants at that time of day. Very noisy with music blaring over the usual din of a crowded restaurant. The waitstaff was friendly and quick to serve. I ordered the Bleu Cheese Burger with the potato soup and a beer, the wife a Mushroom Burger with fries and iced tea. Hers was ok. My burger on the other hand was pretty bland and dry. The "melted bleu cheese crumbles" was more like a thick paste of bleu cheese. The "savory sauce" was nowhere to be found. The balance was shredded lettuce, a pickle and slice of tomato. The meat had no discernible taste. The only flavors that stood out were the pickle and bleu cheese. The beer was not real cold and was poured without head. The potato soup was nothing to rave about. Pretty bland with a little smattering of cheese and green onion on top. Wouldn't choose that option again. Based on this visit, I would put them at 4th for So. Hill burgers behind Out N About, The Ram and RR. Not impressed. The beer is colder at The Ram. None of the other places are as noisy except maybe in the bar during a game. With the other options available, a return visit is unlikely.

This place is OK, nothing more, nothing less. They do give you a TON of fries, which is appreciated but I wonder if anyone can finish them. I had a good fish wrap but the burgers weren't anything special which I was hoping they would be considering it is in their name. The atmosphere was very casual like a family sports bar. The waitress when I recently went did not fill our drinks and we waited like 10 minutes when we were done for a check, but the manager stepped in and did everything after making an excuse that he had her do other things (we saw her standing against the wall the whole time.) I had gone before though and had an awesome attentive friendly one.

I don't really understand the bad reviews. Sure, the service isn't the best ever, but I really don't mind it. Everything I've had here is awesome and the atmosphere is really nice. Bacon burger's good, squirrel sandwich is good, french dip is good, chicken burgers are all good. Jojos are good. I like it here.

I love this place. Food is great and service is fab. Cost is $$ but totally worth it. Lots of food.

This may be the weirdest review I will ever write. I visited Bob's shortly after it opened. Surprisingly it was during the one time it was not crowded. I ordered the sourdough burger and fries. Everything looked amazing! That's as far as I got. I happened to come down with a cold and could not taste a thing. I even try desperate measure like a shot of hot sauce. It did nothing. I am happy to report that the texture and look of the food was excellent! I have tried to go back several times but every time the wait is over an hour. One day I will return and get a taste of this wonderfully textured burger. Bottom Line: Gotta go back.

The reason I gave this place 3 stars is because we had a nice waitress who worked really hard and they have jojo's on the menu. Plus, the drinks were pretty good. The burger was about average, basically of the same caliber as Red Robin, though a little more expensive. The bar was very, very loud, and the seats were very, very close together. The food's not terrible. I'd probably eat there again, just not during the dinner rush.

Decent food...bad service... somthing about the name portrayed micro brewery and all they do is sell regular beer... they don't use any products that they actually make from scratch...Overall complete let down... will not return...and what takes the cake ..mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce that was in a plastic little cup had a sell by date on it... screams. ..CHEAP!

Went 04/11/14 first time there loved it my burger was so good and juicy the lettuce and tomato were fresh my fries were extra crispy the way I like and our waitress was wonderful she got an extra tip because of her attentiveness she was walking past our table and out of the.corner of her eye she saw that I was out of soda instead of ignoring it and going on about her business she turned right around and refilled my drink we will definitely be going back I would love to try some of there signature cocktails.

Over all I give bobs burger a 2 1/2 stars. My food was hot, portion size was good, taste was average, my server wasn't experience at best. The hostess gave my son a kids color place mat yet they didn't have Crayola's. I waited 45 minute for a Burger King burger lol. Frugal's or Frisco freeze by far have the best hamburgers around still.

We got blessed by being invited to their soft opening. Actually it's nice to have another option in Puyallup for a good burger. I would say we werE over whelmed by the amount if fries on the plate- waste.... I'm sure Bob wouldn't appreciate the cost. It's fun to see the other locations up North. Comfy and will be a great place to visit again :)

This place was really good when it opened but has gone down the pooper since. Last time me and my wife came here was for my birthday and my wifes fries were burnt and my were super cold. the waitress never came back to check on us and when we told her about it when she came to hand us the check she took 50% off my meal only. Horrible service (which was not always the case) so we might go back but you are honestly better off going to the Red Robin on south hill.

This was one good burger!! A little spendy but you get what you pay for.

  • Chalu H.

Bob's tries hard, but just doesn't measure up. The waitress was bubbly and helpful, but the food was mediocre at best. The fries and Joes were not seasoned, it was difficult to get a refill on a beverage, and the burger party was bland and appeared to be previously frozen. It just wasn't good. Save yourself some time and money and visit a Red Robin or your kitchen. Even if you cannot cook, you'll do better than Bob's.

Went here with my wife after catching a movie. We were seated in the lounge and our server came up almost before we had a chance to check out the menu. He continued to check on us regularly and got our food and drinks to us really quick. Speaking of the food: big portion sizes and tasted great. They also have local beer on tap which makes sense for a local chain. Overall a nice dinner experience.

My husband and I are huge fans of the that shares the name of this place which is why we tried it out. We were very disappointed. The place was moderately busy but the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly enough but when we ordered food I made a comment about wishing they had chicken strips or something and the waitress got annoyed and made a comment about them being a burger place. I asked instead what she recommended which was the squirrel sandwich . My husband ordered a bacon burger. I didn't finish half of mine and my husband said his was mediocre at best. The bill was higher than Red Robin and the food was must lousier. Other people have commented on the bland flavor and that is exactly what is it.

    (2)
  • Kelly T.

I ordered the avocado bacon burger well done and was given a avocado chicken bacon sandwich... I didn't say anything because we were in a rush to get to a movie. It was pretty good but the fries were lame. Service was really good. This place really reminded me of Red Robin with a more limited menu.

Bad bad food. French fryers warmed up, food tasteless and cheap!!!!! Don't order salmon salad wrap

  • Theresa F.

I really wanted to like this place but the food was just not good. We had mozzarella sticks, the prawn skewers, and a burger. Everything was dry and over cooked. The staff was very nice. I'm sad to write a bad review on this one but it is a place that might be good if you just want to go to the bar and have drinks.

The food was decent, the service could've been so much better, our waiter was always missing in action but other waitresses were happy to help when we would flag them down for things like napkins, water, our order!

  • Lisa S.

Both times we went they messed up someone's order. This last time my mother in laws had to be completely remade she got her food after we were finished eating... No compensation was offered! Besides their jojos the food is sub par

After going to Bob's in Bellingham for years as a college student, I was so thrilled to find out there was one 25 mins away to where I relocated. Every time I went to the Bellingham or Maryville's location, there was always exceptional service when it came to our servers and the food. However, going to the South Hill location is like day and night. From the time you walk in, there's a wait. Yes, I can understand that but it's also questionable when there are plenty of people walking out. So my question is, is there enough staffing? Clearly it makes no sense if you are a consistently busy restaurant and yet you can't have better service. I drove too far to walk to leave so I waited patiently to be seated. By the time the server came around, she introduced herself, started us on drinks which I appreciate after waiting for so long. The waiting game for the food was the longest. Twenty minutes go by and our server came by and apologized for the wait. However, when our food finally came, I expected our food to be hot but I touched my jojos and it wasn't. I'm not sure if my food was sitting there or if the cooks just happen to give us fries that's been sitting in the warmer but it wasn't pleasant. Our burgers were beyond dry. It was no where near my past experiences. As I take my burger a part, there's no dressing on the top bun, only a tad bit on the bottom. I don't think I'll be coming back again. If you have time to waste then go for it but if you like good and consistent service, I recommend going somewhere else. I'm only giving this place 2 stars for our server.

  • Mary Z.

The food was very good especially at this price point. My husband I were sent to the bar which is not at all what we had in mind. The service was so bad. The server kept going over the happy hour menu and did not give us menus, we wanted to order off the regular menu which we were finally able. Our server had plenty of time to socialize with co workers. She ignored us when we were trying to get our check. I am usually understanding of the wait staff everywhere we go but this staffer was truely not interested in our needs. The food was good and we will return but will not allow them to seat us in the bar.

I went to Bob's last Friday and even though I expected it to be super busy, we were able to find a spot in the bar right away. Our waitress was great, the beer was cold, but the food was subpar, which seems to be the common theme for most restaurants on South Hill. I was really hoping for Bob's to be different, but it wasn't. I had the guacamole burger, which was way overcooked and unseasoned and the guacamole didn't have any flavor. My fiancé got the Blue Cheese Burger and had about the same experience with his burger, but while I got a salad he got the jo jo's and we both agree that those were the best part of the meal. It seems like they've made great improvements on their service based on previous reviews, but now they need to focus on the food. Not sure I'll go back again.

For a burger joint it's one of the best ones yet . There's a variety of selections on burgers and the different sides you can have for the burger . The burgers are big and juicy . Just pure yummiest. You can taste the smokey favor beef patti. I'll come back for more . The server was attentive. Prices are reasonable . We got our food fast and fresh . Real good .

So, I decided to try Bob's since it's the only place on South Hill I haven't tried. So I made my appearance- my one and only- and there is nothing there that would ever cause me to return. Here's the positive: the server whose name I can't recall, was lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Now the negative: no atmosphere whatsoever, a mediocre menu with average food. Appetizers aren't even listed on the menu- you have to flip through a little table tent to find them. I had a sandwich called the Squirrel- why, I don't know. It was beef and cheese on sourdough. My son had the French dip which was as basic as Arby's. The northwest beer flight was enjoyable- best part of the experience. Honestly, I can't imagine anyone going for a repeat visit. I work for the Ram corporation and clearly Bob's has nothing on the Ram located across the street. The Ram has much better beer, a much more extensive menu, including healthy and gluten free items and an incredibly hospitable staff. Plus there are always new exciting menu choices.

I'm being quite generous tonight with the stars. One was given because it is opening weekend and there are bound to be some growing pains ( the exact reason I didn't send my burger back when I was brought out the wrong order). The second star was given because the food was okay, not good, not terribly bad, but not quite mediocre. The service was AWFUL. FIVE different people including a manager AND a trainer saw that my drink was empty before my meal arrived and did nothing about it. The burgers had had no flavor, and everything was way under seasoned. We will not be going back.

Overall, this place is just reaaaaallly okay and needs work on food quality+value. If I had to issue a letter grade to this establishment, it'd just be a "C". Waitress and cook time were appreciably quick factors. Fries were just okay. I ordered my burger patty well-done (I have a slight phobia of foodborne illness and microbial organisms in ground beef, long story). Burger patty was just okay, sort of dry even for being well-done, not super flavorful. I've prepared well-done patties and eaten well-done patties from restaurants that have been much better. The waitress was nice and pleasant so that was a plus. Gluten free options are a GIANT plus if you're gluten-free because of allergy, sensitivity, or lifestyle choice. I did order a gluten free bun, and it was quite satisfactory. Restaurant seemed clean. A stand-out negative is that prices are way too high for the rather mediocre quality of the food. I'd come back... ONLY if reviews improved and if food quality improved.

Went Today around 5pm, Not a long wait, plus got our drinks quickly, Our food came also in a reasonable amount of time. Now for the review. The salad was warm, not cold and crisp. It appears it was prepared and sat on the same plate as the sandwich under the heat lamps. The Club sandwich was extremely salty. We ordered the chicken strips, my son said they tasted like fish. My guess is they cook everything in the same oil as the fish. For any one who knows fish transfers flavor especially in oil. IWe tried this place and have decided Red Robin is we will keep going.

Awful dinning experience. Did it the first time during opening month, wasn't impressed with the food or service, but the kids enjoyed the atmosphere. Just tried it again last night, thought they may have improved. Nope, I was wrong. The host was the "manager who was on shift, she was most unfriendly, unprofessional, unapproachable, and unpleasant. There was a wait in the restaurant due to the tables were not cleared, the restaurant was not busy at 8:30. Our waitress was pleasant and doing her best. When the food was coming out the person bringing it was filthy, and she pushed the jo - jos back on the plate with a breast, not a chicken breast, but with her very own. I wasn't impressed with the meal presentation, continued to open the burgers and place the jalapeños I requested on the side on my burger. The jalapeños looked as though it was scraped off someone else's burger, thought maybe they grill the jalapeño. I took a bite, and put the burger down and continued to examine the bowl the jalapeños came in, and the outside of the bowl was dirty. An orange piece rolled off my plate I picked it up and could see little teeth scrape off the peel! I dug around the dirty bowl of jalapeños and found one with mayonaise! I told my kids stop eating! NY steak, which wasn't even bitten into, a western burger almost half eaten, a kids cheese burger 2 bites, and my blue cheese burger, flagged down the waitress explain what my concerns are, she got a manager, who was also the hostess, came to the table, tried to intimate me. She said the orange was a garnish. Odd, my plate and the NY steak was the only plate with a "garnish" . I told her I'd just like to leave. She said fine went to the computer and rang me out. I told her we hadn't touched anything, I'd pay for out sodas but want to leave immediately. She again said "fine, the waitress will just have to pay for the meal" I repeated myself I didn't want to cause trouble, I APOLOGIZED, as she went over our plate and pointed out my son ate his western burger. I told her fine I just want to leave. Gave her a twenty. The waitress came over and she tried her best to make things right. I appreciated her attempt. I was handed .30 cents back from the 20.00 I pulled my wallet back out and gave her a tip, apologized again and told my kids let's go. I'll never return again. Food isn't worth the price. The establishment has poor management. I hope they read this and learn from mistakes.

Only a three star because of what I think are growing pains. A couple mistakes with our table's ordering alone but I attribute them to the fact that it's only been open two days. Excellent feature was the ever present training staff to help the new waiters and attentive managers. Great potential, good competition for The Ram across the street. Encouraging to see a gluten free brew selection limited as it may be. Food was delicious and happy hour was a great deal. Awesome 1/2 price (on everything!!!) opening day promotion. Clean premises, good food and attentive staff made it worth it

We were excited to try this new addition to South Hill. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly diminished as soon as we walked through the front door. Things declined all the way through the meal. In the end, the silver lining was it was nice to spend time with family. ________________________ Burgers: Senior burger was excessively thin and charred well despite a request for medium. Jalapeno burger was stacked rediculously high with jalapenos, at least a cup. Seeds were left in jalapenos making them virtually inedible for the average burger fan. Wasabi chicken burger lacked anything resembling the flavor of wasabi when presented, had to request extra side of wasabi sauce. and ________________________ Brew: For having "Brew" in their name was surprised by their lack of selection. No irish red's of any kind. Not even Killian's Irish Red. Certainly no Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale. Plenty of mainstream breweries with a few mainstream micros. Disappointing. Expensive to boot, $4.99 for a 12 oz, wow. Ordering water IF we ever return. ________________________ Order speed/delivery: Kitchen took 25 minutes to deliver our order for four. Neighboring tables that ordered after us were served first. Can't get much worse than that when it comes to kitchen delivery, timing, and logistics. No offer to deliver some appetizers in the meantime and no offer to reduce our bill for the obvious guffaw. ________________________ Staff: Friendly. Could have checked table more frequently and been more attentive, passed our table by several times to wait on neighboring tables. Had to flag down to get check, eliminating their chance to upsell us on desserts. Finally the wait staff arrived and bussed the table. We weren't ever able to grab someone to get some extra napkins for the finger food we had. ________________________ Facilities: Clean. Slick looking architecture and interior accents. Was snow storm outisde, front entry waiting area should have accordingly had excessive heat blasting from HVAC, but had none. Guests were clearly extremely uncomfortable. But hey, the big natural gas firepit outside sure looked neat in the snow. Very noisy with a full crowd, architect failed to integrate noise suppression into the interior design. When you have four flat walls and a flat ceiling it's going to be loud, just like a gymnasium. Made conversation at a normal speaking voice nearly impossible, almost had to yell. LED spotlights over table made everyone look pale and near death. Save the LED's stark white lite for a display case with your baseball card collection. Use halogen where humans are gathering. Tables fit into booth space poorly, rounded corners protrude enough that it makes it difficult for this slightly overweight male to get in and out. Someone 100+ pounds overweight would not be able to sit at the back of the booth. Booth could have sat 6 comfortably ...with a properly fit/sized table. D- interior designer.

I heard about this restaurant from a friend and I've seen a TV show with the same name so I figured I would try it out. Pretty much a brand new place, had opened around a month ago. Very clean and nice atmosphere. It was kind of busy when I went so we decided to sit in the bar which was almost full. Service was good, decent selection of beers, in nice frozen mugs. Burgers are HUGE and so are the fry serving size! A lot of food for you dollar. But the taste was kind of bland, nothing special. Probably would have given it 5 stars if the food tasted really good. I would go back for a beer :)

Went there for dinner with family of 4 on Valentines day. Wait was precisely as stated by host 30 mins, not bad considering the day and at 5pm. Waiter was right on Que. Took drink orders and got back with them promptly. Took food orders, and was careful to ensure everyone got there food the way they wanted it. Food came out hot and fresh. My burger was awesome! I usually eat my fries first because nothing I hate worse than cold fries, this time was the exception, after first bite did not stop until finished. Didn't matter, fries were so fresh they were plenty warm by the time I got to them. Proportions were huge, wife and kids could not finish there food and were unwilling to leave it behind. Took the rest home! Kids meals came w/ scoop of ice cream, my 3yo wanted vanilla, waiter went out of his way to put some chocolate and strawberries on it that she asked for, totally not expected as I am sure this is so supposed to be a simple child's desert. My family and I will be back as soon and as frequent as possible. Thank you Staff at Bobs for a great family dining experience.

I love this place. I think they did really well considering how crazy busy it was! We prepared ourselves for waiting and were very patient. I don't expect that the wait times will be a problem in the future. It is just all the rave right now so everyone and their brother wants to try it. We have been to the one up in Bellingham so we were so excited when it came to Puyallup. I have been to this location twice and it had been great! I always get the guacamole bacon burger with fries. So good!!! I am a french fry enthusiast and Bob's are amazing! If you like the Ram or Red Robin, you are going to LOVE this place!

I don't know where these negative reviewers went but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Bob's Burgers, this place was really amazing, it was opening weekend and the service was fast and really friendly. The food was rockin! I had the Avocado burger (perfect) my wife had the BBQ burger (flavorful) and my 13 year old daughter had the mushroom burger (I've never seen her eat so fast) so in a nutshell this place was beyond our expectation especially on a very busy opening weekend. Good job Bob! We'll be back.

This was our first time in and it was really good. We sat in the bar and it wasn't the typical "bar" service. Peter, the bartender was fantastic! He even told us to have a nice week as we were paying our tab - most people don't say that. It was refreshing. We will definitely be back! :)

Got there at 6 on a Saturday night. The place was PACKED! We managed to find a table immediately available in the bar so we weren't subjected to the hour+ wait time. Bar server was on point! I can't count how many times she refilled our water glasses. Food was brought promptly, environment was great, server was delightful and diligent, no complaints at all in that area. The food. Here's where it goes wrong. Typically at a signature restaurant, I go for the signature dish. At a hamburger place, I'm going to go for a traditional hamburger. If you can't get THAT right, you may need to rethink your specialty. They do. The 6oz classic burger was overcooked, dry, and virtually flavorless. The bun was dry and coated with a "savory sauce" (which I really think was just mayo with some pepper in it), some shredded iceberg (only 1/2 of which made it on the bun) a couple small tomato slices and one pickle chip. Now, if you think that I left hungry, you have another thing coming. There must have been 2 pounds of potato wedges piled on my plate. They were cooked well but had no seasoning at all. Portion size and general food flavor and quality need to be worked on here in a hurry. It's disappointing that a high profile place like this can't get the basics right.

Loved it here! My mom, myself, and my fiancé went here for lunch the first Saturday they were opened. We were told a 45 minute wait (not surprising, that's about what we expected) but we were able to grab a booth almost immediately in the bar! We were quickly greeted by our server who was SUPER NICE and SUPER HELPFUL given none of us had been to a Bobs before. The prices are equivalent to Red Robin's, so definitely doable for my family. My fiancé ordered a Jalepeno burger, which was cooked just how he liked it and no joke like 3 pounds of jo-jos!! I stole some and they were seriously some of the best I've had and the ranch was delicious! I had the southwest chicken salad. It was excellent! Lettuce was cold and crisp while the chicken was hot. Flavor was awesome. My favorite aspect is that salads can come in HALF ORDERS! My mom had beer battered fish and chips. She was very pleased!! Our drinks never reached a bottom and our waitress was timely without being pushy! Give Bobs a try and if you tried it once, give it another try!! Remember it's a learning experience for all the staff :)

Our first visit to a Bobs and were happy with our meal! Husband got the double dutch, which is a burger with a hot dog on it. He enjoyed it, and the potato salad he got with it. I had the mushroom burger, with bacon and likewise, mine was great. Messy, but good. The jojos were alright, and provided plenty of leftovers. My only criticism is that our burgers came done medium. Had i known that, i would have requested well done.

I'm so excited to have Bob's in Puyallup! My husband and I ate there opening week and while the wait time for the dining room was 45 minutes, a table opened in the bar within 15 minutes. The staff was gracious and the service was prompt. We were actually surprised by how well the staff did, considering it was opening week and the place was PACKED! One of the trainers stopped by to make sure it was going well and we were happy. The food was delicious - but then again we know Bob's always delivers great food! (It brought me back to my days at WWU in Bellingham.) We will definitely be back with the kids. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that brunch and/or breakfast will be added soon... because Bob's does GREAT breakfast.

Service started out decent but it went downhill quickly. I ordered the sourdough which had several problems, the cheese wasn't melted, the bacon was raw, the meat was dry and lacked flavor. I brought up the bacon to the server who asked if I wanted it cooked again.. I said uh no take it please... Raw or undercooked bacon is a health hazard I don't know if she realized that but she couldn't have acted like she cared less about it. My husband had the Bonanza burger which also had raw or undercooked bacon and dry meat with little seasoning. He had more stuff on his burger which made his more editable than mine was but it was not great. The sides were okay but I would rather not pay 11-12 bucks for fries. Overall lack of flavor, undercooked bacon, and a waitress that didn't seem to like her job let alone care we didn't want raw pork pretty much speaks for itself.

My wife and I tried it midweek at 12:30. My first impression was that I was glad they weren't singing and clapping happy freakin birthday every 5 minutes like Red Robin. The server was friendly enough, and when asked about appetizers, she said the spinach-artichoke dip was amazing. We ordered that and a burger to share, a side of onion rings and 2 sodas. The dip was NOT good. It tasted like it was from a can, and was served with blah corn chips. The burger was OK, the fries were OK, and the onion rings were fantastic. $40 later, we were less than impressed. I'll try it again another time, but so far like Red Robin a lot more.

Really wanted a good burger and this place had one!! Had their avocado bacon burger and I thought it was yummy!! The service was really friendly and really fast! We got to sit next to the fire as well! In all we had a great experience and intend on going back again soon!!

We went here on 4/7/14 and the food stunk~ but my review isn't even about the horrible, unseasoned hamburger~~heck anymore places don't seem to care about quality and giving you a good experience~~my review is about the "type" of establishment they are~~and that is the type that edits their facebook page and takes the bad comments off (apparantly they can't remove the ratings part just the comments) I left a message about my meal what was wrong with it and what was good and less than 12 hours later it is gone and I am banned from the page~~real good way to become part of the community..to bad for you I work across the street Bob's cause I will make sure every single customer I see knows that you are making a false impression of yourself that just isn't true..your food stinks..your service is even worse..and from what I've heard your manager is horrible.

Decided to finally try this place after driving by several times and seeing how packed it was. I was extremely disappointed. First, they brought me the wrong burger, completely different than what I ordered. When the waitress brought our food( she wasn't the one who took our order) she pretty much flung it at us and walked off. Didn't ask is everything looked ok or if we needed anything else. Terrible service. As far as the food goes, when I finally got what I ordered, the burger was just ok. Nothing special. Same goes for the fries. Red Robin down the street does a MUCH better burger for less and has MUCH better service. Thumbs down for Bobs and I won't be returning.

Waitress was awesome but you would think that a place that specialized in burgers would have fresh meat. I have no problem paying $15 for a nice fresh gourmet or specialty burger but I'll be dammed if I'll ever pay it again for an over cooked frozen Patty

When a place does one thing they should do it well. Well that's what bobs does. They do burgers and they are good. Don't come here wanting a a steak or a plate of spaghetti. The selection of brews is vast, all though not much brewed in house. I will come back to this place. That's all that really matters, return customers.

Went yesterday and it was busy! My husband and I were able to find a spot open in the bar. Our server was Jennifer. She was always quick to check on us. We ordered some drinks and appetizers. The chicken quesadilla and the Thai chicken wings. Both choices were wonderful and the portions were huge! Very happy with our visit there, we live close and we will be back for sure. Thank you for the great service!

I don't normally write reviews , but this is in response for all the people that said fast food is better then bobs , ok sure . Mcdonalds , Burger King Wendy's make me sick. Bobs burger was a good hamburger. I ordered the double with bacon and mushrooms. Fries were average . I am definitely gonna go there again. To the people who said fast food was better , eat a sponge that is better then fast food

I was very excited to try this place and was throughly let down. Mainly by our server and her bad attitude. The food wasn't great for how expensive it is. I probably won't be back due to how rude out server was. She had a bad attitude the whole time. In the middle of eating she asked if we needed boxes and I said no, then she asked can I take your plates and I said no again then she asked what kind of ice cream my kids wanted. She then brought it out before they were done eating. My kids wouldn't eat there dinner after this. Just an all round bad experience and felt very very rushed.

Food and mixed drinks could use some work.... Nachos had deep fried ground beef way too hard and dry... Sorry to complain but tried my best to be nice about it

I wont be going back there again. I had the chicken feta burger. The fries had no salt on them, the burger was dry, the lemonade was kinda gross, and the cheese on my burger tasted like grease. The waitress was nice though, that was its only redeeming quality.

the food was good the waitress was not, had problems with the bill, I found they charged someone else's meal on my debit card which was $ 27.00 more, after a half hour wait the manager finally fixed the problem, said sorry and that was it. No Discount or comp on the meal and no apology from the waitress.

My family went on opening night. There were 5 of us and we're told it would be a 45 minute wait which is totally expected on opening night. We actually got seated in 30 minutes! Our server was super nice and helpful with our selections. The food was good and pretty fast considering how busy it was. Our server kept our drinks full and made sure everything was to our liking. We will be back :)

My family and I went there last night for the first time. It was busy, but we figured since they are have recently opened. Where we were seated was nice because our two young children could watch the cars go by, but every time someone opened the front doors a blast of cold air would hit us. It was very distracting and cold, especially since it was about 18 degrees outside. The burgers weren't bad. I ordered the chipotle chicken bacon burger and my husband jalapeno popper burger. They were good. Nothing that over the top exciting. My kids had fries and my husband had jojos. They were both soggy and not good. Our kids didn't touch their fries at all. So that tells you how gross they were. My husband didn't eat his jojos. I don't know if they made a huge batch and that was the end that had been sitting out for awhile or what, but they weren't good. They were also very under seasoned, even the jojos. Our waitress was nice and attentive to the fact we have two small children (2 & 4) so she was quick to get food out to us. My husband and I both had to ask for refills, but that isn't a bother to me. We may go back when it has been open for awhile and get some of the kinks out, but we wont be back for some time. We would pick Red Robin over Bob's right now. A few suggestions for their menu: Kids menu didn't have any healthy options, and almost all was deep fried. Grilled chicken would be great addition. Also, instead of applesauce substituted for fries maybe some cut up fruit. Applesauce can be messy. There were a lot of substitution options for adults but not kids. For adults a salmon burger (I saw there was a wrap) and/or a fish burger would be great. I was looking for either one and didn't see one. Bummer!

I would rate the service a 4 and the food a 1 so I compromised and gave it a 2. We were anxious to try out a new SH eatery. My wife and I went for lunch yesterday and we were underwhelmed by the food. The service was great, the menu has plenty of options but, our food was below average especially for $11 burgers. My wife ordered a bacon burger and said that Red Robin and even The Ram were much better. I ordered an Aloha Burger. It was very small and had very little flavor. My wife had potato salad with her burger and it tasted like something you would buy at the Safeway deli, not bad, just basic. I had jos with my burger and there were plenty but, I always thought jos had a coating on them. They were really just potato wedges. Not bad but, definitely not worth going there for. We could see the Roadhouse from our where we were sitting and as I was eating my bland $11 burger I had wished that I had stuck to the reliable, reasonable and much better tasting food at the Roadhouse. We will definitely not be back. Red Robin, The Ram and The Roadhouse are much better.

Stopped here the 1st week open, ate in the bar and had a great experience. Was looking forward to going back with the whole family. Never thought I would write a review but the return trip was the worst dining experience I've had in years. Arrived party of 6 at 7PM on Thurs. Pleasant greeting, told 20-25 minute wait. Seated 45 mins later...Ordered beverages. 2 waters, 2 sodas a decaf & a beer. 15 mins later we get drinks. Order meals 5 mins later. Finally - a positive when we start getting our meals 20 mins. later. 3 plates come out, then 2 more, then.... then..... no 6th plate? 1 soda was refilled but had to request more coffee after totally going empty and 3 times told water would be refilled - 20 mins later still no water and also still no 6th meal? Finally asked for manager. Mgr showed up with last meal - everyone else about finished eating. Mgr comps the meal that came out late. Nice gesture but frankly too little too late at this point. Food quality was average at best. Bacon Burger - I like crisp bacon but not to the point that its like biting eggshells. Still have the taste of burnt bacon in my mouth..... Broiled Burger - a little under cooked but edible. 2 Mushroom/Cheese French Dips - meat appeared to be processed like sandwich meat and less than loaded with mushrooms. Salad with chicken went over well - and the Teriyaki burger (the "late" meal) I'm told was good but hard to enjoy when the rest of the party is finished eating. Out the door just under the 2 hour mark. Could have driven to the Tacoma waterfront in the same amount of time and spent about the same money. Can't imagine going back anytime soon. Bummer......as I would prefer going to this location than to fight traffic on Meridian near the Mall.

Well, we will probably give this place a try agaiin in a few months. Stopped in last night (Friday 1/24) around 9:15 pm for a late dinner. Had a short wait of about 5 min. Before we were seated at 9:20. Waitress cane to take drink orders at 9:35, we did feel 15 min was way too long! Ordered 1 soda, 1 iced tea, and 2 waters, along with an appetizer and dinner order as we'd been waiting long enough we knew what we wanted. Drinks came and app followed quickly. Then the long wait! At 10:05, 30 min from placing order our waitress drops off a plate of french fries and says sorry for the wait but the kitchen is slammed, cooks are new, can't seem to get it together, can't find the right combo of cooks, were all things she told us! We felt that was unprofessional to be throwing them under the bus like that. We were quite understanding that they 'd only been open a few days and theres a learning component happening. Burgers were brought out...4 total...the kids' burgers weren't as ordered, however made it work by having them switch patties (one ordered chz one didnt). The waitress had the mgr. comp our app for the long wait. Food tasted good and was hot! We did have to keep asking for drink refills.

I read the reviews on this place before my boyfriend and I went, but I had purchased an Amazon Local deal, so I thought we'd try it. I was impressed. In my opinion it's better then Red Robin, has better beer options and better service. Sit at the bar if you are interested in great conversations with locals. We will be back.

We are regulars, After a couple disappointing visits, they hit it out of the park tonight. Food was great, service was where it should always be. We were presented with a sample steak after noting that our favorite steak salad was starting to drop off. Steak was prepared perfectly, and we look forward to trying it again next time. Keep up the good work Dale.

We came to Puyallup Bob's Burgers and Brew 04/17/15 for lunch and sat in the bar. We have been to the locations in the north end numerous times and were excited to find one opened up down here. The food is always so good! My husband had the jalapeno popper burger and he couldn't stop raving about it! My dad had a burger with a hotdog topping it and he loved it as well. Jessica was simply amazing. She was quick, attentive and extremely personable. We had a couple of small snafu's with the order but Jessica did not hesitate to fix them right away. She went out of her way to make our experience the best. Thank you Jessica! We can't wait to come back for happy hour as they have the best happy hours prices!!! I hope Jessica is working :)

Mediocre - is how I can sum up the preparation of the food as well as the flavor. We ordered the Thai ChickenTempura chicken bites as an appetizer and it was served on a bed of crispy oriental noodles drizzled with sweet chili sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds. (The chicken was over fried and rubbery. We tried the Aloha Burger and it had no special flavor. They need to amp up their flavor profile and make that burger sing. Adding a pineapple doesn't do the trick. The service was good though. Our waiter was friendly and on point with delivering drinks and checking on us. Unfortunately it isn't enough for us to go back. Red Robbin is better!

My wife and I went here when the recently opened using a Groupon. I was not impressed at all. I was expecting a great burger as heck, it's called Bob's Burgers and Brew. It reminded me of Red Robin and that place has tanked from what it used to be. For the price my wife and I would never go back. Similarly we now feel the same way with the establishment I also mentioned. It you're going to charge those prices for that food and drink it has to be worth it. Sorry we don't feel that way and I was bummed. Maybe I just had my hopes up and the reality of it was just ok?

My husband got the western burger and I got the aloha burger substitute with garden patty. He got onion rings and I got fries. So let me tell you how I have always disliked onion rings for always being super greasy but they have one of the best delsihhhh onion rings. I ate most of my husband's lol and my burger was very yummy I was very pleased. And you get a huge portion of food so I had to take half to go. I most definitely will recommend this

Monday night, party of 6. Greeted nicely when we came in and seated right away. The server was really nice. The pictures on the walls were beautiful and the burgers were really good, Cooked great and a good portion of fries that none of us could finish. We live in Bothell but if we lived closer we would definitely be back sooner!

I Live in the area and have considered about checking out Bob's several times. I thought I'd head into the bar while running errands today. The hostess greeted me and pointed me into the direction of the bar. My waiter was Ryan and let me start by saying he seemed to be the only one working in that area besides the bartender, so I'm not going to put the blame on him, even though they didn't look super busy. I would say there were about 2 couples at 2 tables, 2 people at the bar and a table of 3 outside when I arrived. It took about 10 minutes to even get acknowledged including being walked by about 5-6 times. Once acknowledged, I was asked if I wanted to order a drink and I went with the "Texas mule" Upon ordering my drink he asked for my ID and then notified me they'd have to keep it (something about people not paying, I couldn't really understand him) This to me, is one of the most idiotic things I have heard of. I've never been asked to leave my ID with a restaurant bar, I could've understood a Credit Card if I was wanting to start a tab or ordered tons of items. Moving on... I had to ask for a menu. I ordered a the Bonanza burger less tomato and requested it medium-rare w/ onion rings as my side. I wasn't sure what the side options were from the menu and that might be my fault, but it didn't seem clear just glancing at it, so asked the waiter and he listed off them. When I received my order it was correct although I may have a different idea of medium-rare then the cook, because there was no pink whatsoever. The burger was juicy, humongousand and had decent flavor and the onion rings were pretty good. When I got the check, I noticed there was a $1 upcharge for onion rings. Not a huge deal but would've been nice to be made aware. I paid the bill and left a decent tip because I felt like he was trying. Oh and as a side note I had to go to the bar and ask for my ID back. I think I'll give it another shot with my girlfriend in the dining area and see if it's just me or I should move on.

So it is Labor day, figure take the family for a meal. Wife and I both got rib eyes with baked potatoe. Not bad for a not being a steakhouse. I got the Irish Death alw it was cold and wife got the barcardi punch it was yummy. Now the kids 1 got chicken strips it was only 2 little strips for 5 dollars, another got grilled cheese WTF really, and the other got mac&cheese see pics. Service was good like eating here just wont order kids meals again.

every bit as good as the Marysville location that I visited.. I took my wife here n we enjoyed it! I had the humongous Bonanza Burger.. BOY! it was good; nice n messy, juicy n full of flavor from the mushrooms, 2 patties, swiss n American cheese?, tomato, lettuce n savory sauce! She had their Guacamole Bacon Burger n she liked it! It is very hard 4 my wife 2 like a burger, but this 1 won her over Bob's burgers r charbroiled 2 perfection! the sides were good 2, I had their jojos, crisp 2 perfection! a nice, clean place w/ not only good burgers, but good staff!

If they had a Sunday Buffet like the other locations have, I would probably give them 5 stars, but they dont so I wont lol. Anyway, Like I've said, they have a decent selection of beer, so most likely there will be a beer that you like, they also have other types of alcoholic drinks if beer isnt to your liking. The Burgers here, are for the most part reasonably priced, and nice selection of burgers with different types of meat here (Cow, Chicken,Salmon and Turkey) and if you get the fries as a side, you will get A LOT of fries, more then I've seen given to you at other places. I also like the fact they have Pepsi products, and a pretty tasty Strawberry Lemonade- I haven't experience the long waits like others here have said, but most of the time I've been here is lunch time so that might make a difference.

Last night was our first night trying out the Bob's Burger. We were kind of excited for this place. When we walked in we were seating right away. It took the server about 5 mins to get to us to ask for drinks and at that time we already knew what to order. Food: I ordered a Chipotle salad and my husband and his friend ordered bacon burger and bacon avocado burger. The good was on our table in like 10 mins. My salad tasted very bland.. I order a small bowl of salad and got a big bowl which was $2 more.. my husband and his friend ordered their burgers well done! And of course it wasnt. The fries were cold and seems like they just used the frozen fries and just fry them up. They don't have alot of burger options. Red Robin is definitely the place to go for the burger and their even cheaper! Service: Could've been better! We've seen our waitress only few times. Of course when we needed something she was nowhere to be found. A boy at the table next to us dropped his burger on the ground and it was there for at least 5 mins until someone noticed it! I'm definitely not going back there again. For the prices they charge you'd think it would be an amazing service and tasty food. Definitely not what we got. Save your money and go somewhere else!

SIGH! My first visit to Bob's was less than admirable, which was during the grand opening. There wasn't any flavor to a guacamole bacon burger.. Seriously, what the heck? Lol I swore I would never go back again. Double Sigh... I was invited to a friends birthday dinner, so of course I couldn't turn down my invite & said to myself "aw well they've been open for a while now, so maybe they've improved their recipe." Well I was sadly mistaken!! This time I ordered the bacon cheese burger, with chipotle mayo, fries & honey mustard sauce. WOW! There was literally NO flavor to my burger, other than the chipotle mayo! My fries were limp... Not crispy at all, same with other people in the party. My friend asked to replace his limp fries with some joes... He took one bite of those & said they were disgusting, basically tasted like some frozen version, you'd buy at your local Walmart's freezer section! Sorry, not sorry.. Bob's Burgers, I will not be returning, or recommending this place to anyone.

Oh boy. Let me start off by saying by that we LOVE the Bobs locations up north! I was super excited when I found out one was going in right in our backyard! When they opened, we knew it would be busy so we wanted to let the crowds die down before we gave it a shot. Immediately I heard not so great things about it from yelp and friends, but we still wanted to see for ourselves. We went on a Sunday afternoon and sat in the bar. There were maybe five tables including us. The bar area is very cramped and not comfortable. We were not greeted for about 10 minutes, even though there were 4 employees in the bar. Our server was Mikel. No personality, no excitement, no nothing just "what can I get you to drink?" I don't understand people like this. WHY are you in the service industry?!? He seemed like he was either having an awful day or that's just the way he is, I couldn't tell. I ordered the guacamole burger. Huge disappointment. I understand that avocados are expensive, but if you advertise a "guacamole burger" I would think it would come with actual handmade guacamole! This was like an avocado purée! I don't even know if it was real avocado! It had strips of greasy undercooked bacon, the patty was under seasoned, it wasn't good. I did receive about nine pounds of jojos, but those were more like mashed potatoes! My husband ordered the aloha burger, which he said wasn't great. We were visited by Mikel one time throughout service. He did not ask the normal "how is everything?" Maybe because he knew it was bad? Who knows! Thank god we had a buy one get one free valpak coupon, because if I would have spent $13 on my burger I would be pissed!! The manager was also playing server, but I didn't not see him stop at any tables to check on food/service etc. We heard and read the bad reviews, and found out ourselves that indeed, it was the truth. Very sad because we want to love this place. Unless this location gets its you know what together, they stand no chance with The Ram and Red Robin right down the street. Both places have much better service and quality of food. I would come her for drinks, if I had to, and eat elsewhere. That's it. Also, what I find odd is if you hop on over to Trip Advisor, they have RAVE reviews! Something is fishy here, there is no way this is a 4-5 star establishment! So those reviewers either have never in their life had a decent burger, or they are getting compensated for their "good" review somehow. Just my opinion. I would definitely go to The Ram if you're looking for a good burger and a friendly server. They too, once did not have my approval but they hired new staff and did a 180, which is what I hope I can say about Bob's next time I get a wild hair and give them another shot!

The food was awful. We order Calamari and it tasted like rubber, the manager told us that we should never order calamari there because it was awful. Yes the manager. I live 2 minutes from here but I won't go back. Red robin; the ram, and even mcdonalds is way better!!

Decided it was time for us to try this place since we live down the road and it is been open for over a year. Took the short ones and had a late lunch. They each had fish and chips (one adult and one child) and I had the bonanza burger. Food was OK but nothing really remarkable. I will say that we weren't hungry when we left for sure. I do not believe that the menu separates Bob's from any of the other local burger establishments. Not sure if I would pick this restaurant over others but will add to the list as an option. Reality for the rating is that probably a 3.5 is the real score from me. Waitstaff was friendly and restaurant appeared to be clean and well-maintained. Final plus is they have 10% military discount which is always popular with this guy!

Average burger joint. Went when they first opened and decided to try again to see if the kinks were worked out. Not bad. Average chain American-style food. A little bit if everything. Not my favorite of this kind of restaurant, but would go again.

    (3)
  • Durand D.

My experience mirrors that of the other posters who gave this joint two tries and went away disappointed both times. The first time we went was just after grand opening to see what this new eatery was about, and I wasn't pleased with my soggy burger that had no distinct flavor; just a blob of ground beef that had an indistinguishable taste and failed to set off my palate as something new, grand, and different than what was available around our area. Nonetheless, we chalked it up as being a new place, but hadn't gone back until this weekend. We stopped in for a birthday dinner on Saturday and our first clue should've been how empty this place was for a weekend. Ordered mozzarella sticks that weren't hot and had no gooey cheese oozing from it's guts; instead, it was like biting off a battered string cheese stick with a cold center. Okay, whatever, as long as the burger is decent. News flash: It was just as poor as the first time we'd eaten here, and the service was even worse. The only reason we stopped in was because my wife found an online deal for the food, and she wanted to give this place one more try to see if our first time was a fluke. Well, it wasn't, and we won't be going back. Very poor food quality. Cold, bland appetizers. Prices that can be beat down the road at the big bird emporium where their burgers have flavor, their servers have personality, and their establishment has a warm feel to it. This Bob's Burgers, folks, was just like the cheesesticks: Cold, bland, and not worth ever trying again. Go down the street to any of the fast food joints or other burger places; you'll be glad you did. Bob's bombed big time, and we'll never step foot in their establishment again. I can't imagine them making it in the long run.

My first experience I didn't care for the food. My second experience was because they had the shortest weight of the restaurants in the area - that should've been a sign... This time I ordered a salad and the waitress never brought my dressing. I asked her again for the dressing. Still never came - so I ate my very mediocre salad raw... When we asked for the check she remembered she never brought the dressing. She said she was sorry but they still charged us for the salad and didn't do anything to make it right. To me customer service is a higher priority than the quality of the food... Needless to say they've lost our business.

Great food but service is usually so so. Love the salads too. I usually get the Steak Salad, Bacon Cheeseburger or the Chuck Wagon. All very good. Always go back since service is sometimes really good. The food is always on point.

We came here for the first time yesterday on 8/29. It was only 11:30 on a Saturday so there was only one other party in the dining room. It was storming outside and the moment we sat down, the power went out! We sat there for a few minutes to see if it was going to come back on and the server came out and said they would still serve us, the fry oil was still hot and they could still use their gas grills. We ordered, the food came out extra fresh and hot, the food tasted great. As we were eating, another man came out and asked if we wanted any candles haha but it was bright enough we didn't need lights. Then he said food was on the house and we said that totally wasn't necessary and he said "Well we can't cash you out anyway so it's on the house!" That's when I realized I couldn't use my card! I panicked for a second because I wasn't sure if we had any cash to leave them. The whole time we were there, the server was super awesome, extra nice, very attentive, didn't seem stressed at all even with no power. I wanted to leave him a much larger tip for the service and the comped meal, but I could only give him all the cash in my wallet which wasn't as much as they deserved. We will definitely be back and hopefully see our server again!

Yum, yum yum! The Chicken Avocado salad (I order without avocado), is the BEST salad ever! Hubby says you gotta try the burger with the hotdog on it!

My family came here for the first time tonight and really enjoyed our visit for many reasons. First, free WiFi which is a big deal when you have small children to keep them entertained during waits or if mom and dad want to enjoy a cocktail or beer. The food was delicious! My husband and I both ordered burgers and fries that were very good! Tons of fries too! Our toddler got the chicken strips and fries and the chicken was impressive white meat and chunky chicken not too much breading. We shared the molten lava cake which was good and the kids meal came with ice cream for dessert. One more random thing, both my husband and I commented on the quality of soap in their bathrooms. It's odd but we both noticed. My hands felt clean, soft and smelled great! My husband said the men's room is equipped with TV's too :) We will be back for sure!

Solidly mediocre food. A few good selections on tap. Was lured in by the name of this place because I dig the animated show. Had some strange burger/hotdog mutant that was not bad... Tons of tvs.... each one playing something entirely different. So if you like that sort of ADHD experience they got that... And it's in HD.

The happy hour menu was great! No very impressed with the burger though. But the bar was a good place to watch the game.

No zero stars on here, huh...Ok, well....Fried greeaacy sounds about right. No taste, no presentation, lack of knowledgeable employees. Just really not good all around... Here's the deal...During the grand opening last year, it was the "new bar/restaurant" on the block....Gave it a shot...Not good...Weak beer selections other than the usual mass produced suspects...VERY greasy food....just not good....Second chance...SAME story but throw in employees that were deaf dumb and blind....i mean, really....and alas... one last time....NO CHANGE! on all accounts, just not good...food is just fried to death and no flavor! 3 chances over 8 months! I'm Done!

I LOVE the Bob's burgers and brew chain. I went to WWU and my wife as well. The Bob's burger restaurants are all over in whatcom and skagit counties. We used to Go to them when we would make the drive to visit Bellingham. When we heard puyallup was getting a Bob's burgers we were excited. Since it opened, my family and I have made about 7 trips to Bob's. My daughter loves the ice cream she gets with the kids meals. The burgers still taste as good as when I used to eat the burgers while in college 12 years ago. That's a sign of a successful restaurant or franchise. The food does not deteriorate over time and still offers quality for its customers. Bob's still has the great quality and also has large portions. If you walk away hungry that's your own fault. Staff is always so friendly to us and prompt with our order. I would recommend this place and I can honestly say I was loyal to this restaurant as a college kid and as a married man. Now my kids love this restaurant.

First thing first, our server Shannon S was AMAZING! I noticed she had an injured foot, yet she was very on point with everything we needed. Aside from that, the food is pretty mediocre and hasn't improved much since I first visited it earlier this year.

This is the place to go for burgers hands down. Sorry Red Robin, sorry Ram. There's really no comparison in my opinion. The burgers are always juicy and have great flavor. You have to try the Bonanza burger! Best one on the menu, also the biggest.

Gosh, I've been here twice, hoping that the 2nd visit would've been better, but this was just too bad to pass up. We arrived at 2:00 on a Saturday. Not busy, not slow. Seated quickly, our waitress arrived, took our order and we were off to the races. That's where things became bad. First: I asked for no mayo, and had mayo on my chicken sandwich. Second, the chicken was partly raw and inedible. Third, the waitress didn't come back to address these issues until she gave us the bill. I won't be back - 2 strikes and I'll take my business elsewhere for A $14 DOLLAR BURGER AND $16 CHICKEN SANDWICH THAT IS RAW.

I took my son here because he was excited about a new restaurant in the area. We were seated right away, and we were there at 3pm so the place wasn't busy...but we didn't have a waitress approach us for about 10-15 minutes. She took our drink order, a sprite and a coke, and came back with a sprite and an iced tea. I like ice tea too, so I didn't say anything. When it came time to take our order, I ordered for my son off of the adult menu because he thought the burgers on there sounded better than the ones on the kids menu. Her response was "We don't have that burger on the kid's menu." I replied, "He's going to order off of the adult menu." She looked at me and said, "I don't know if we can do that." I gave her a "Are you kidding me look". I said, "He just wants a burger off the adult menu, it's not like we want it for the kid's meal price, he just liked a burger on the adult menu." Her response was, "But he's a kid...we have a kid's menu." She just didn't get it. She didn't think it was possible for me to order him a normal meal because he was a kid. She obviously was not the brightest. For my meal I ordered a blue cheese burger with no tomato. It was well done, despite I asked for it medium rare, and it came out with tomatoes on it. She then took my drink to refill it, and this time actually gave me coke...but since my glass was half filled with ice tea when she refilled it, it became a gross mixture. When I tried to explain it to her, she just got confused so I gave up and my son let me share his Sprite. Halfway through eating the waitress got in a small argument with the manager, within a foot of our table. She then proceeded to go to the table next to us and start slamming the dirty dishes around so hard that she actually broke a glass. My four year old looked at me and said, "Why is she throwing a tantrum?" It's pretty bad when a kid recognizes an adult's actions as "tantrum-like". The experience was beyond awful. I would give this place zero stars if Yelp would allow me...

The staff were pleasant enough. That is the best part of my review. The menu was a good size and the prices were giant size in comparison. The beer was cold but the food, though plentiful, was meh. It was very noisy with the alleged music. In the business lunch time it seemed inappropriate. It would be smarter to allow people to speak comfortably at that time of day. If you like MEH for a high price in lots of noise for lunch, you will enjoy Bob's

They were extremely busy tonight, and despite that I received some of the best service. Renee was so friendly and efficient the entire time. She made my friends and I feel so welcome and comfortable, the food was great as well. This is one of the only times I've been at a restaurant and seen the floor manager multiple times. Great establishment, will be back.

I used to like Bob's Burgers and Brew, but as of late they are lacking. The last time I came in which was last month, there was a drunk couple that were completely annoying, they should have been kicked out and 86'd. The food is okay, my order is always wrong.

We've eaten there several times and every time the food was great you get so many fries or JoJo's you can never eat them all. The staff is always friendly service is good your drinks are never empty. We were there for a large party, our meals were all out at the same time nobody had to wait on the meals and they were ordered correct.

  • Walter S.

I give them a 3 star based on the burger, it was delicious and the beer was cold. The things I didn't like was the service in the bar was slow, the waitress didn't bring our order completely, forgot the lime with my beer.when the food came out the onion ring's you could ring the grease out, not cooked at rite temperature. The fries are out of a bag . I would think if you're going to have a great burger you should have real home cut fries . We had to send the rings back and they got them cooked rite the 2nd time but we were done with the burger by then. We came from Bonney lake but will not come back here, not worth the drive for the low quality side items.

I went here recently and I must say, the people who gave this place a good rating must have not been to many restaurants. We got there at lunch on a Thursday. It was pretty much empty. It took 5 minutes to seat us, and when they did, they put us away from all the other guests. That's not the problem. The problem was we sat there for 15 minutes and not once did our server came up to us. I had to get up and ask the hostess if I could get some water. That took another 5 minutes. After we got our water, we sat there for another 5 minutes without seeing our server. I then had to get up again and ask the hostess if our server knows we are here and her response was "she should". Needless to say, that's when we got up and started walking out. As we walked towards the door, I looked to where all the other guests were and the server was just talking to a bunch of guys that were eating already talking about nothing to do with food or the restaurant. The hostess acted like she didn't know what was the problem and when I told her we had been there for 30 minutes and had no service. Her response was "ok, well have a good day". I will never go here again.

Okay, stop the presses! I understand some of the reviewers wanting to stick up for this spot because it's new, but if you look at my stats- I tend to leave positive reviews rather than negative. I'm not a hater and appreciate small businesses. I have family members who have worked at all levels in the food service industry, so I understand the challenges that food service workers face. However... I'm always down to try new restaurants, so when some friends invited us to Bob's, I was super excited! Our party waited an hour outside. They have a super cool rock fire pit outside, which is perfect since it was a bit chilly. Once we were seated, our waitress Kristin, took our drink orders. Most of our party ordered beer, but there were two cocktails. It shouldn't have taken 20 minutes, but it did. Our appetizers came out before our drinks, and before our appetizer plates. One thing that struck me as extremely odd as a diner was all of the different menus. Spring menu, winter menu etc... The menu items were not very seasonal. This is confusing and irritating as a diner. You are a burger spot! Why would you need seasonal items? What killed my experience and makes me not want to go back was the bad attitude from the gal who delivered our beer. I didn't get her name, but she was very rude. I asked if I could get another of the same beer because my beer tasted like salt. IPA should not taste like salt! She asked ME if my beer had touched the margarita. I replied that I had no idea since I wasn't holding them. She went on to tell me- it was "just salt", and that "it happens" , gave me a nasty look, and I had to ask again for another beer. WOW! Sorry for inconveniencing you- I am the customer after all! Kristin was nice when she returned to our table with my new beer 10 minutes later. My food order was wrong, but I didn't want to bother mentioning it. My food wasn't too bad. I think the appetizers were the best part of my experience. The kielbasa and cheese sticks are great. Bottom Line- Bob's is going to have to get their game on point if they want to thrive in this economy. The Ram nearby has much better food and service. My advice as a consumer- simplify your menu and better training for employees.

Pretty darn good. Our service was prompt and our waitress had a good personality. The manager stopped by each table to make sure things were going well. Food was very good. It gets 4 stars because it is a burger joint. Most burger places will give you a dry burger. Sauces help make a burger, and bobs did a great job with that.

Jessica and Jen were an amazing duo! They greeted us immediately, even though Jen was at the bar. When my girlfriend's drink wasn't what we thought it would be, they were very accommodating in bringing us another drink from the menu and refused to charge us for the first drink. I would return to this place for happy hour.

Ok final review. We order the salmon burger with regular fries. Maybe because it was 8 at night and they we're running out of fresh items but he lettuce one the burger looked old and our fries were super stale, like sitting in grease all day long. Glad that the server was polite enough to be nice enough and rectify the issue. Not happy with bob's burgers. I rather have a burger from Bob the cartoon character.

My experience and here was awful. The food was extremely salty and the weight staff was bad. My family waited for 45 minute to get our food when it was dead. I will never eat at this place ever again.

ok burgers but way too expensive. Go to OUT AND ABOUT if you want a good burger for a good price. Who wants to pay 15 dollars for a burger and a load of fries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give me a better burger for a better price and not so many fries to make my plate look full.

The food is okay. Greasy burgers and standard fries. I got the jalapeño popper burger and it would have been really good if it wasn't so greasy. It sounds like a bizarre burger but it all combined surprisingly well. My friend got some other burger, also okay. Based on the food alone we'd be willing to give this place a second try. Two point five to three stars for the food. The service though. Yeek. We sat at the bar (we weren't even given an option, the cranky hostess just said, "the bar is open." and pointed us over). So we sit and wait and wait and eventually the bartender/waitress greets us. We flag her down again to order our drinks. I am fairly certain my margarita was without alcohol. I could not taste it at all. She never brought us water. Not once. Weird, right? You always get water. She also didn't supply us with napkins so we had to flag her down yet again to get some (because, like I said, greasy burgers). All of this would have been excusable if she hadn't started gossiping with a coworker right there at the bar... And that was after her manager and two other coworkers did the exact same thing right in front of us. It was uncomfortable and unpleasant. One star for service.

If Bob's is getting bad reviews you can't blame the server's, that's on management! The server's are always on point. The mixed drinks are a little weak though. Need to speed up the times of the food getting to the table though.

First impression wasn't great... It was Pretty average. The restrooms are clean and the tables are too... The appetizer plates we got had sauce or something on them but it wasn't bad... The food is pretty good and the local flights are amazing !!! I really liked the steak salad too. The wings are delicious and the staff are friendly

My husband and I were excited to give this place a try when they first opened cuz they're really close to our home, and we were hearing some good reviews! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. We waited over 20 minutes before someone even remembered we were there! Now, they brought us extra fries because of this oversight, so I still felt like this place was gonna make the cut... But my burger was so bland and flavorless :( I got the avocado bacon burger, two of my favorites on a burger, but there was hardly any taste to it! I don't remember what my husband got, but was wasn't floored by it either. Bummer: this place looked like it was gonna be a fun one :(

Saturday night 8pm. We were told a 10 minute wait or the bar had several open seats. We sat in the bar and ordered a beer sampler and a long island. The long island I'm pretty sure was a virgin so I won't order that again as I'm typically a lightweight and a long island usually goes a long way for me. For food we got a Bonanza burger and a sourdough burger. Both needed some salt for flavor (kind of bland without) but I will say the burgers are good in size, and when you get added grilled onions which are free of charge they really load you up. The burger quality was excellent and the juiciest I've ever had. The fries are unseasoned but come with a good fry sauce. The side salads are a good size also. The service was great. Jewels was our server and she was attentive and polite. This was our first time at Bob's and we plan to go back and try something else next time. My only advice to Bob's based on our visit is to season up that food a little!!

I'm giving them two stars only because the fire places and fast service. However everyone at the table agrees the fries are horrible. It's kinda of like red robin but surely not as good an about a dollar to two dollars more. I would of just drove the two extra blocks to red robin

  • David Y.

Very bad service and sub par food at high prices. Got the double burger and ordered it well done, but one of the patties was very pink. I told the server and she explained to me that pink is their version of well done (then I wonder why bother patties weren't the same). Also ordered the jojo potatoes with the burger and they were barely warm and the insides hard. I sat at the bar during lunch hour so I could watch the tv, I ordered water... then later heard the girl tell her coworker a remark about how I "sit at the bar and not get a drink", shame on me I guess! She couldn't even refill my water one time. I definitely won't be going back.

  • Cassandra L.

Food was average nothing too special or great, felt like the fries had little to no flavor/seasoning. Waited along time to get ketchup since we ate outside since it was shockingly nice out. Id rather spend my money at Red Robin that way you get unlimited steak fries and they have lower prices. Nothing special here.

  • Ashlee Z.

If you like Red Robin, you'll love this place. Their burgers are good and they have a good menu. A little spendy, but it's delicious. They have a nice outdoor seating area, good for dry nights. Tip: the bar area is seat yourself, so if it's busy and has a long wait, try to snag a table.

Came here at 9:15 tonight after checking their posted times of 10:00 closing, but they were closed. Tried to make sure it wasn't going to be a wasted attempt, but it was, disappointing. Luckily The Ram across the street stays open until 11.

I am writing this update only because i tried to remove my first review..but YELP would not let me! That is not right...I hit the delete button...nope still there. Anyway, after writing my last review of Bob's Burgers and Brew, the manager Dale, replied and we got in touch. He was VERY VERY professional and listened with concern to the issues I had when I had visited his place. I feel completely satisfied with the way he handled the situation. I will go back. Like I said in my review the first time, the food was great. Now that he is the manager, I feel this restaurant has a very good chance of being great! and...it is only a few blocks from my home. Thank you Dale for your professionalism and awesome customer service.

I have chosen to give Bob's Burgers and Brews 5 stars based off of their attentive customer service, the family friendly atmosphere, and cleanliness. My husband and I took our daughters out to dinner there and we enjoyed the food and was impressed by the large portions that were served, and we were pleased to see how affordable Bob's Burgers and Brews are. I have high hopes and best wishes for this fairly new local business to the Puyallup - South Hill area, best wishes to you all!

If you're going to name your restaurant Bob's Burgers, please be good at the burger part. I was never asked how I want my burger and got raw on the inside. Unhappy I talked to the manager and he did not take it off my bill because I ate the fries. I ended up getting 5 bucks off 25 or more next time.. terrible food and management. The waitress we had was very sweet!

  • Allen B.

No place to hide for the catty, shallow bar waitstaff. Watching them badmouth the customers and other servers in the corner of the somewhat cozy bar was almost hysterical. We asked Brittnee about the Bob's brew. Her response was "I don't know. I don't drink beer. Its an amber." So sorry to bother you with such trivialities. As far as the food goes, I really can't understand how a burger can look so great and taste so bland. Obviously a seasoning issue. For what they charge, I was expecting an outstandingly flavorful burger. Instead, I was left perplexed on how this place stays so busy. Back in the day, your dining options in the south hill/graham area were pretty limited. Not anymore.
