A very welcome addition to Chinese options in the north end, serving items not much available up here. Light, bright restaurant. In five visits, everything I've tried has been delicious. Best dishes so far include: cumin barbecue lamb-best lamb Ive ever had in a Chinese restaurant, could not stop eating; dry-fried prawns in the shell - like salt and pepper prawns on steroids; two different chile fish dishes in a brothy sauce - terrific; juicy Szechuan dumplings in a slightly sweet chile oil. Also eaten: fried rice with chicken and salt fish - nice, but not as light in feeling as T&T. Szechuan fried chicken and green beans - very small diced chicken made a strange presentation.

I went there with my family for dinner the other day for Fathers' Day (Sunday, June 16, 2013). I know this place used to be an Old Country Buffet, and now, it's a Chinese restaurant. The decor was nice. However, the staff seems to be figuring out how to run a restaurant. It took a while to explain to them that we need utensils for eating our food or a bowl for our soup. Everything was disorganized, and they would bring out the wrong stuff, and it took a few times to get it right. The good thing about the staff is that they are overly eager to make you happy, even if they can't get it right the first, second, or third time. I think the staff being new at figuring out how to run a restaurant carries over into food sanitation. The next morning, and all day, I think I had a mild case of food poisoning, as I had nausea (no vomiting) and diarrhea all day long. I know for a fact it was from the food here, because I didn't eat that much for lunch that day before I went to this restaurant with my family.

Great food and reasonable prices. Service could be a little better. Ample parking. A little off the beaten path, it's behind the Wells Fargo bank on 44th in Lynnwood. I enjoyed the Crispy Lemmon Chicken, the General Tso's Chicken, the BBQ pork fried rice, the egg rolls and the Hot and Sour soup. No fortune cookies, but I say, no great loss there.

My friend order a lemon chicken dish that I was especially good. No fortune cookies, though.

The owner is friendly and the Szechuan food is legit Chinese Szechuan food. Numbs your mouth spicy. I love the pig ears and the tofu beef stew. The lamb is also really good. Anyways if your Chinese and want to have a taste of home, you gotta check out this place. Just walking in, my mouth started to water.

Bad, bad, bad service. Slow, slow, slow service. About the food, I usually get a headache, after eating there. MSG, maybe???

Soon to be closed or under new owner again This review is for dinner on 3/1. We got there around 8ish and there were only 3 other tables , we were seated quickly but at the corner next to where they put all the plates, sauces, take out boxes and cleaning supplies even though there are tons of other empty tables available. Menu was one piece laminated paper with no pictures on it,nothing fancy. Since we read yelp reviews there are either "black" or "red" menu (see photos on review) so I asked if they have different menus. Then I was told they no longer offer anything on these 2 menus as they are under new chef now? I thought they just reopen not that long ago in Jan? We went ahead order, food came out quickly but the hot and sour soup was not even hot, it was warm so we sent it back for reheat and we actually heard they put it in microwave to reheat it...... Appetizer and entrees came out at the same time- food was ok, nothing special to write about. Definitely not the best but not the worse either. But the reason we think this restaurant will be soon out of business or new owner is cuz the service. Through out the whole dinner, there were at least 5 waiters but none of them came over refill the water, didn't ask if we need anything, how was the food..etc. all the basic service that you expect from the waiters do not exist there. They walked by the table couple times didn't say a word and didn't clean up any of the empty plates either. They were either standing around chatting loudly or cleaning the floor, moping the empty tables but they did remember to drop the bill on the table when we were half way through the dishes. By the time we are ready to leave, all the waiters were getting ready to sit down to have dinner so we just grab a small box and pack the left over. To my surprise they did came and grab the bill but didn't say a word as I was putting the leftover in the box. we walked out the restaurant, there were no waiters by the door as all of them were having dinner at that time. We won't go back again due to the bad service and hopefully another new restaurant will soon take over this place.

coming from a szechuanese family, i had generally low expectations of this place, fully expecting it to be just like the rest. and i was wrong. OMG. it's delicious. starting with the spicy peanuts they put on the table to begin with. every dish afterward, perfect. the spice hit the spot (although, personally i like it spicier), it was a welcome change compared to other "spicy" food restaurants. we visited on chinese new year, and the restaurant did very well in catering our family. the staff was so polite, and always attentive. great great experience. my non-spicy-eating husband says he wants to go back (without the chaos of family with us) and try more things. A+

Went there several times before I finally give them up. The pig ears they served was very tasty previously. However, after a while, the dish just tasted extremely weird and we could not tell what kind of stuff is inside. It is impossible to chew at all and the color is also not right. Keep food in high quality is to keep a better restaurant business. I am sorry to see in such a short time, this restaurant already degraded themselves.

The egg rolls were raw on the inside and greasy. The rest of the food was greasy and bland. The food is not worth the high price I payed.

Came here last night with Dana W. and her brother. We're in our mid-twenties, and Taiwanese-American, so when we walked into the restaurant, they automatically greeted us in Mandarin: generally a reliable sign that you're about to get traditional fare. I'd read something in one of the previous reviews about there being a green menu and a red menu, the latter being "authentic". I can't verify the existence of the green menu; when we went there was only one other non-Chinese table in the restaurant, and they had already ordered. The food is pretty traditional Szechuanese cuisine, but they also had one or two Taiwanese staples. We ended up ordering the cumin lamb, green beans, dan dan mien, and pork belly sweet potato noodles. The only disappointment were the dan dan noodles, which oddly tasted more like American pasta than any dan dan mien I've ever had. I think they used a different kind of noodle. The green beans were great. When you get that dish, you're usually in for a plate of overcooked greasiness. Not so here. We were all pretty satisfied with our experience and had no complaints, except for my friend dryly referring to the dan dan noodles as 'spaghetti' for the rest of the night. However, the moment I walked into the restaurant I smelled this pervasive odor of Windex. It permeated the place and nearly put me off my appetite, but neither of my dining companions noticed anything, so perhaps I'm just overly sensitive. Bottom line: restaurant was clean, service was prompt- if not necessarily friendly or attentive (par for the course for most Chinese restaurants whose target clientele is other Chinese). Food is decent, traditional fare, which is pretty special around here. As a side note: I noticed that all the wait staff seem reasonably fluent in both English and Mandarin. ETA: Regarding the lack of drink selections on the menu, this is pretty common practice for Chinese restaurants such as this one. If they ever have anything to drink other than tea, it's usually only lukewarm tap water. Yuck. Then again, it's another sign that you're in for- wait for it- *assumes Zero Mostel alter ego* TRADITION!!!!!

This restaurant is so yummy. I wish I could have tried more menu items. I had the beef broccoli lunch special which came with fried rice, egg roll and egg drop soup and only for 6.99 what a bargain. This place will be on my to go spot for a yummy lunch

The food is tasty, I'm from sichuan so this does remind me of home cooking. Some dishes are close to home cooking, twice cooked pork, and chilli beef.

My wife and decided we wanted Chinese and decided to give it a try. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was white meat and nicely cooked. The Chicken Fried Rice was awesome. We will definitely go back. The place is huge. Great place to bring a party.

I live in Bothell and it's so nice to to find a good Sichuan restaurant on the North-side. Went their with my family over the weekend and I had to pinch myself because I can't believe that my local Sichuan restaurant is this good. Don't need to drive North to Vancouver/Richmond BC. Szechuan Garden services up excellent Sichuan dishes, which are heavy on hot peppers, chili oil, ginger, garlic, and Sichuan peppercorns. Our favorites are the Chen Du Red Pepper Chicken, Beef tendon w/spicy pepper, Hand shaved noodle w/shrimp,Eggplant w/ Spicy Garlic Sauce, Spicy Beef Hotpot. The chicken meat is always extremely moist, and each dish is distinctly flavored and memorable. Many dishes are so flavorful that it can be almost overwhelming if you don't order something mild to balance things out. We usually get a few sichuan dish and then a simple green veggie (e.g. spinach with garlic), sauteed Shrimp with salted egg yolk or smoke tea duck, with some white rice. Because the food is very traditional, the dishes tend not to have as much excess sauce as Americans have become accustomed to, so don't expect to be able to be able to douse your rice with goopy syrup. The rice is really there to cool your palate and buffer some of the heat. Szechuan Garden is more pricey than your standard neighborhood Chinese carryout spot, and I think rightfully so because they serve a well-executed, specialized, regional cuisine.

Thanks to a fellow yelper who gave me the heads up a few days ago that the chef from Szechuan 99 and some of the staff opened up Szechuan Garden, it was a matter of just a few days when I would gather up the family and head on over to give it a try. I couldn't believe it! I was welcomed by the hostess with the biggest hug who remembered our family! I had FINALLY found where our restaurant went! We were quickly seated and our server was prompt to bring hot tea and homemade kimchi: pickled cabbage and radish in a light chili oil marinade (a perfect start to dinner!) I perused the menu to find our favorite dishes and they did not disappoint: pot stickers (the same as before: large, homemade, fried dumplings that were eaten up in a flash), Ma Po Tofu with pork (amazingly the same savory, spicy sauce as before, a must if you like tofu with a kick), Beef Chow Fun Dry (by the far the BEST in town and the ID!) Dry Sautéed String Beans with Pork (flavorful dry sting beans with little pieces of pork, no sauce here - AMAZING!) Steamed Fish Filet with Scallion, Fresh Ginger and Cilantro (you can order this with either the chef's homemade silken tofu or steamed lettuce - both equally delicious and the fish is steamed to perfection; light and flakey and perfect), Stir Fried Pork with Jalapeno Slices (I want to say this was the dish named "stir fired pork with Jew's ears" - not sure, but either way, this is our new favorite dish: it's not as spicy as you think, but tender pieces of pork with a little kick - I HIGHLY recommend!) And for dessert, you MUST try their homemade sweet potato and red bean cake. This was better than any sesame ball with red bean paste I ever had! Chewy, slightly sweet, and delicious! A perfect ending to a perfect meal! They also have hot pot as before, which I know we will be back soon to give it a try. If it is anything like what we had before at Szechuan 99 than you know it'll be good! There are a lot of new items on the menu including Fire Pot Dishes (which all look amazing) and cold dishes (yes, I want to try the crispy pig ears, hot & spicy wontons, Szechuan spicy cold noodle, Szechuan spicy bean jelly, slice tripe with Szechuan chili sauce just to name a few!) I am so thankful for the fellow yelper who messaged me about this place - I am already planning our next trip! Run don't walk - you will NOT be disappointed!

be still my thundering heart! a new szechuan restaurant has come to town and i'm in love! first things first: make sure you ask for the Red Menu. Szechuan Garden, opened 12 days ago and is housed in the old Great King Buffet restaurant (when did they close?) just behind the iHop on 196th. looks like there was minimal redecorating, but the dining room looks alot more inviting and attractive with the addition of brightly lit chandeliers; without all the buffet customers milling around the buffet tables. a young woman and young man efficiently greeted, seated and served the tables and patiently answered my questions. on Friday i was pleased to see at least double the number of waitstaff. good planning. the clientele is about 70% asian. the chef owned a restaurant in Salt Lake City under the same name. on my waitress's recommendation i ordered the Hot Spicy Beef Stew Noodle Soup spice level of 3 out of 5. this noodle soup is one of my favorites now with fat chewy noodles (not udon style), tender beef pieces and the familiar numbness and the happy clappy tingly feel of the szechuan peppercorns. i was served chicken skewers appetizer instead of the beef skewers i had ordered. my waitress immediately reordered the beef skewers and let me keep the chicken skewers.. i inquired about a dish i did not see on the menu. guess what? there is another menu! the Red Menu! the Red Menu offers dishes that might be considered more authentic, less aimed at the american palette than the regular menu. i want to eat everything on the Red Menu! not everything is spicy pepper hot. the skewers are not peppery hot at all. the Szechuan Sandwich is pork with green peppers, onions and a sweet sauce. it is not spicy hot at all. the crisp veggies and the pork and the light sweet sauce was a great contrast to the Spicy Fish Stew. the Spicy Fish Stew is not as red chile fiery as it appears in the picture. it is one of my favorite dishes to order at a Szechun restaurant. it is loaded with delicious white fish and cabbage. 1 bowl will serve at least 2. lunch specials offer a good value starting at $6.99. the lunch specials are on the regular menu. unless your meal comes with rice, a small bowl of rice is considered a separate side order. i can't wait to return to eat more! btw, is that John Huntsman in the photo standing next to the chef? highly recommended.

Just had lunch at this great find. The lunch menu has a lot to choose from and the portions are very generous. The dishes all tasted great. Definitely adding it to my lunch venues. Must try the Fu Chi Beef w/ Chili Sauce from the Cold Dishes menu.

What can I say, so far this is the BEST szechuan place we've had in the 2 yrs we've been here. Coming from SoCal where the culinary palette is "OFF THE CHAIN" and where the insurmountable amount of different nationalities, a "melting pot" if you will; bring so much flavor to the table. It has been VERY difficult to find good food up here. We were suggest to try the following: "Dicks" - ICK GROSS! "Tasters Wok"- Are you kidding me, "Taster" is your name? GROSS! Oh there was this god awful & very forgettable chinese delivery place in Everett that is no longer open (thank god) and is great for wanting to make yourself throw up! "The Rock" - YES! YES! YES! Best pizza place by far "Red Mill Burger" -YUM! YUM! YUM! Best fast food burger place so far "The Blazing Onion" -YES! YES! YES! Best sit down burger place by far "Blue C Sushi" - YUM! YUM! YUM! Best boat shushi so far "Szechuan Garden" - YES! YES! YES! Best szechuan so far A must try is their - fish in black bean sauce

I gave this place 3 stars because although the variety of choices weregood, the service could have been better. The waiters/waitresses were cold and unfriendly, but I didn't want it to get to me. I personally don't recommend the Szechuan Sandwich as it seemed more like eating a mix of a banh mi and Peking duck wrap-sans peking duck in a cold Costco-like flat/pita bread. Also, the tea was not hot-hot as it should be; instead it was lukewarm. Even when we asked for a hotter pot, we still received a "warmer" lukewarm pot of weak tea. Okay time for the good stuff - the entrees. I really liked their Szechuan dan dan noodles and the spicy fish stew. And, the owner is really nice; just wish the waiters and waitresses could be friendly like her...The honey walnut shrimp was tasty and crunchy, and the string beans were crunchy as well, albeit a bit salty. In summary, I like this place for my fix for dan dan and spicy fish, and it really does have potential to be better (as it just opened up in January).

We tried out this place a couple of days ago. Very good service. The portion was huge considering the low price. The hand shaved dan dan noodles and spicy pork dumplings were very authentic, according to my husband who used to travel to Chengdu. Note: if you don't like oily and super spicy food, don't order these dishes. I actually liked the crispy fried chicken with green beans the best. The yang chou fried rice was ok, a bit dry and no Chinese sausage.

Gosh I really want to like this place. The Dan Dan Noodles were good as was the spicy beef noodle soup. I would like to try more items at a different time other than the morning/early afternoon as well. My biggest issues concern the constant menu changes with now just one big laminated menu instead of a red and black one. The lack of drink selection and charging for rice outside of the lunch special is another concern. In addition the bathroom and water is always cold when I wash my hands. I really hope it's just something in the morning and not constant.

The food was cold to luke warm at best. The staff was indifferent. When I complained about cold food they said they'll rework it. One minute later he brought the two entree back slightly warmer. Seems he microwaved it. The taste was fine but totally disappointed with this experience. Will never go back and recommend all friends against going here.

If you come here for lunch during weekdays, their lunch specials are decent and come in huge portions at a really affordable price. However, if you order the more authentic Szechuan dishes, the quality is often inconsistent. I've ordered the same dishes many times here, and sometimes they are amazing but other times quite disappointing, sometimes forgetting important ingredients. i've ordered the Spicy Cabbage Fish soup several times, and seemed to have received a different dish each time. The wait staff is pretty friendly, helpful and competent, but service can be slow at times. The wait to get to your food can be quite long, even when it doesn't seem to be too busy. Overall, I'd say this is still the best place to get authentic Sichuanese food in the area, but better places could be had by heading further south down to the Bellevue area.

Tasty food and very attentive service (I know, I've read a number of the reviews that love the food and panned the service. But three different waitstaff came by repeatedly to make sure we were pleased. And we were definitely pleased). We made prosaic food choices, but their execution was excellent. We liked the appetizer combination (pot sticker, crab puff, barbecued pork, less so the egg roll) , hot and sour soup, mu shu pork, honey walnut prawns. As some of the other reviews point out, there's a mixture of "standard" dishes and more exotic ones (pig's ears, beef tendon, etc.) They have room for big parties-- when we arrived, there was a 15-person party who had reservations, a 30-person party from a bus, who phoned on the road with only 30 minutes warning, and after we had been served, a 7-person party with reservations. Still plenty of room (though the waitstaff were spread thin, but they served us well!) (Once again, responding to some complaints in other reviews:) We don't look oriental, and were addressed in English quite effectively. We will be back. Hungry!

Yes, finally able to satisfy my Szechuan 99 jones. As you probably figured out the old crew from Szechuan 99 moved on to this place. I've only had takeout but it has great. Had steamed dumplings a personal favorite along with jaja mien with hand shaved noodles, both excellent. Wife had favorite Szechuan 99 chicken, also excellent. All I can say welcome back and thanks fellow yelper Dee for the heads up.

Food was good and hot. My biggest thing about wait staff. Not knowing there menu. I asked the waitress about the orange peels chicken yes it said peels, was it white meat or dark? She said hmmm quizzical.... I think dark. I said you think or you know. .. she replied I think and stood there looking at me. Ya wanna go check? Naw gave up I ordered orange peel beef. That came after my husband was done with his meal. Gee that was weird felt like he wasn't feeding me. And maybe a quick sweep job so there isn't food at my feet. Maybe take out would be better. Oh and rice is seperate and no cookie. What?

To start out, we walked out because of the (lack of) service. I went to this restaurant with my sister and dad. We'd been to the same location last year when it was an all you can eat buffet and didn't realize it had changed owners. However it looked nice inside and the smells were good so we decided to go on in. We were seated promptly and a waiter brought us two menu's and explained that one contained more traditional Szechuan food and the other contained Americanized Chinese dishes. We looked through both menus and it didn't take long for the three of us to make our choices. We then set the menus down on the table, a very traditional sign that we were ready to order. I estimated we'd been sitting there for about 10-15 minutes before I started watching the time. I asked my family if they minded if we waited another 5 minutes then we'd leave. We ended up giving it until the top of the hour and no one ever stopped by so we walked out. Our total time there I think was about 25 minutes from the time we were seated until we left. There's a Buca di Beppo literally right next door so we went there and had a really good meal. It was my dad's first visit and he enjoyed his dinner. As crazy busy as they were (a Saturday night) we were seated within about 10-15 minutes which was the estimate given at the front door. Our orders were taken and dinners delivered in a very timely manner. I'm seeing reviews on here that the food is good, and our experience may have been a fluke. I'm up there a couple times a year so might give them another chance. If this place wants to make it though they really need to be make sure that no customers get dropped off and forgotten like we were.

I actually want to give 3.5 star as I'm not a fan yet but it is better than A-OK. I went with a friend to try out this restaurant last week, we ordered Szechuan dumplings, cumin lamb, and spicy beef soup noodle. Both of us really like how they do the dumplings, especially the sweet and spicy sauce with lots of finely chopped garlic. We finished that plate very quickly. Of the cumin lamb, the taste of the spices I think it is very middle-east / india taste a-like, it could be that is how different places use similar spices to prepare lamb. For me, I would love this one if the lamb can be more juicier. The spicy beef noodle soup is indeed very spicy, a fair warning that if you cannot take the normal 4+ stars spicy, ask if the chef can tune it down for you. I saw that many fellow yelpers experienced poor service, it could be we are lucky, our services is pretty good. One of the staff came over to recommend us how to take the dumplings, she helps us to mix the sauce and explains to us why this is the best way to take it. I will go back and try other dishes.

With some recent changes coming with new management my fiancé and I walked into the Szechuan Garden open for a new experience. After all, there was chance it could have turned to one of our favorites. No. Not at all. And the reason is simple: service. There were small things, to be sure, such as the lack of soy sauce at the table or the poor layout (both a legacy of the recent switch from a buffet). But slow and relatively unfriendly service frustrated us to no end. We walked in just after 7 on a dreary Tuesday night and waited fifteen minutes before our order was taken. At the time, they had two dressed members of the wait staff and one gentleman in a purple hoodie playing with a toddler when he wasn't occasionally bringing out food. There were about a half dozen parties of 2-3 seated along with two small families and one party of about ten. The menu was fairly large, filled with food that sounded tasty but overall pretty standard Chinese fare at relatively reasonable prices. Notably lacking was a drink section. Am I nitpicking? A little. But I like choices...or at least knowing if they have Coke or Pepsi. As we ordered (again, FIFTEEN MINUTES after being seated) we were shocked to find out that rice wasn't included. The menu gave no indication of this, nor did it even have a price. Our appetizer was at our table twenty minutes (!) later, crab puffs that were...okay. Not the best, but far from the worst. A little sweeter than I like but they still tasted like crab. I've found the crab puffs are a great indication of the quality of this style of restaurant since they are difficult to screw up. I was annoyed that the sweet and sour sauce was brought out several minutes after the food was on the table. My entrée and both of our orders of rice were in front of us some twenty minutes after, my fiancé's fifteen minutes later. To recap on the timing, in a few minutes after seven, fifteen minutes before our order was taken, twenty minutes later there was any food in front of us, twenty minutes later one entree was on the table, fifteen minutes later the second. It was nearly eight thirty by the time we were both completely digging into our entrees. Our rice had long gone cold...not that it mattered since there was no soy sauce at the table and trying to get the attention of the wait staff was -we learned this early- relatively futile. As for the food itself, it was okay. The texture of my pineapple shrimp was good, the sauce didn't turn the breading to mush and the shrimp wasn't overcooked. I was disappointed that the sauce was so powerful I didn't actually taste the shrimp very much. My fiance said her chicken was good, a hefty portion of almond chicken. Didn't keep very well, though, as the half she saved for lunch the next day turned into inedible glue. Overall I would say this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. There were all of 25 people there and we still were in there for the better part of two hours. They apologized (a little) for the wait, but an apology doesn't give me back the hour of our evening that we did not intend on losing for food quality that -while by no means terrible- I could have gotten at a dozen restaurants within fifteen minutes of that location for five dollars less. As I said, with new management the Szechuan Garden looks to be a work in progress and perhaps disgustingly inadequate service could be forgiven. They could very well improve. I hope they do. We walked out, however, determined to never find out. If you value your time I suggest you do the same.

Went here for lunch on Saturday and I am thinking never again! First, waiters are never around when you need them. Second, the appetizer and main course are brought over at the same time despite the request to get the appetizer first. So my main course was cold by the time I got to it. The food itself is a sad story. I asked for the eggplant in garlic sauce. It was saltless, tasteless and there were no flavors of garlic. The eggplants were soaking in abundant oil. I know Szechuan food is supposed to be greasy, but this was an extreme. The Dan Dan noodle without meat was ok. Green onion pancakes were very average. I have had better ones. I know it is a fairly new place but I would rather not give them another chance and shell out $25. Sorry folks, but am disappointed!

Not bad, but maybe I won't come again, the waitress hasn't lead us when there're plenty tables,it's weird. The chef is famous but I don't think all the food is good enough.

Incredible slow service. So slow, i gave up on the meal and settled for McDonald. I arrived at 7:05 and was seated right away.i got the menu and my drink fast. After that it went downhill. No one came to take my order until 15 min later. At 7:48, my food had not arrived. I was by myself and order only a bowl of rice with a stir-fry chicken. I cannot imagine if i were with 3 or 4 other people, how long i would have to wait ! I decided to get out of the restaurant without my order. No way, i am going to eat the food that took that long to prepare and risked getting sick.

Although I am not living in Seattle, it is always one of my most favorite cities, which can be convenient to get there. Every times when I went to Seattle, Szechuan Chinese Garden is the place where I have to visit. To be honest, I think I can be totally called expert in tasting spicy Chinese food, and really strict with it, it is usually hard for me to like any spicy Chinese dishes in American, because almost all of them are not cooked by traditional cooking way and the results always make me feel regretful. But this restaurant can absolutely satisfy all my demand for my country food. It was much beyond my expectation when I first come to give it a try. Szechuan Garden provides so wonderful Sichuan dishes, which are heavy and hot peepers, chill and Sichuan peppercorns. My favorite dishes I highly recommend is Hot Spicy Beef Stew Noodle soup spice of 3 out of 5. It is so hot that you have to order something mild to balance things out. For many vegetarians, Sichuan style Eggplant must be your best choice, but too much oil and spicy peppercorn may not fit to people who get used to bland diet. The price here is a little bit expensive, but it is still affordable for me. The average price of one dish is usually above 10 dollars, but I believe it is really worth that price! Moreover, parking lots can be easy found and no fee is charged here. So if you want to treat any friends in Szechuan Garden, just go and get it!!! You really do not have to pre-book seats or to wait for such long time.

I have been sadly disappointed with much of the local Chinese food in and around Lynnwood. I did have one dish at Szechuan 99 that I liked a lot, (the Orange Chicken) Out of desperation I started searching Yelp, and found that many people had posted that the chef from Szechuan 99 had moved here. I don't know if that is true but it probably is because the orange chicken meal is exactly the way I remember it and I was impressed with the food. I have had many items off the menu and have been here about 5 times now. Very good food in my opinion. The wonton soup is very good. Do not get the egg flower or hot and sour soup, they are terrible. I have had the fried rice, the lemon chicken, moo shu pork, mixed vegetables, orange chicken, chicken and vegetables and probably several others. All dishes were very good or excellent. Sometimes they give you a fermented pickled vegetable appetizer (very tasty treat while waiting for your meal) sometimes not. The atmosphere is very nice, the restaurant is huge, nicely decorated, and they always play hip music in the background. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I am very happy to have found this restaurant, I highly recommend if you are in the area.

I'm addicted to the food here, my personal favorites are imperial prawns and fiery broth w fish morsels. I usually get the egg flower soup and I highly reccomend the fried rice too. Friendly staff and good food, will certainly be back soon.

I was really excited to get food from here since there are only two other Chinese places that deliver to me and they either stop delivering early or have a ridiculous minimum order amount. I was elated to get a flyer on my door for this place (which I didn't know existed!) and I jumped at the chance to order some food. The order went smooth- usually I have a hard time ordering from Chinese places because we have a hard time communicating, but blissfully this wasn't the case here! The woman on the phone was polite and quickly took my order. The food arrived in about 30 minutes (maybe less, it felt really fast!) Hot, delicious, totally worth it. I got the crispy sesame chicken- It's not really crispy but the flavors make up for it. It's so delicious, chicken is cooked perfectly. Sweet and tangy and just perfect. We also ordered chicken chow mein and pork fried rice, both of which were good, but bland. The egg rolls were killer. It might just be my preference, but I thought these were the most delicious egg rolls i've ever had. They were so stuffed full of shredded veggies I thought they were going to explode, and the seasoning was just perfect. The portion sizes are HUGE! We only ordered the lunch special for two of our items and they're still big! Way too much for lunch- so you have some yummy left overs for later! Only 4 stars for the overall experience and the bland rice and chow mein, but the service (for delivery at least) was fantastic, and the food was generally awesome.

Good fish fillet sweet & sour. Mongolian beef szechuan style cryspy tofu.. and many others. However, the management didn't know how to run a restaurant, long long long wait, an hour until food arrived. The restaurant wasn't that busy. Less than 9 tables with customers.

We drove all the way from Bellevue to eat here. It was worth it, you have not had authentic Szechuan cuisine until you come here. Portions are very reasonable and the dishes are superbly prepared. The service is quite good, we would always have someone check up on us every ten minutes or so. It gets pretty crowded during the weekends, especially during dinner. I would recommend coming on weekdays in the afternoon. This restaurant is perfect for people who fear spicy foods to the hardcore spicy lovers. A+

The service was Horrrrriiibblleee went out to eat after work with my boyfriend and waited so long before a waitress came to take our order after that waited almost an hr for my food to come out. They gave a small bowl of free soup to make up for our lost time, but what got me really mad was that there was more than one person and they have the gull to bring out ONE bowl, what do they expect, that we would both pass the bowl back and fourth the table??? On top of that the waitress brought my food to the wrong table that was near us. I had to ask where my food was before she gave me the plate that she brought to another table. On the bright side the food was good but not worth the wait and horrible service.

The food here was not very good. We got delivery and ended up throwing away the left overs after not eating very much. The chicken chow mein was fine. The mongolian beef was not very good at all. It tasted kind of like seafood, which was very odd. I did not like it at all, it was almost inedible. The general tsao's chicken was okay, it was very breaded and kind of too crispy.

This place sucks! The boss and senior waitress keep blaming the junior waiter very loudly which makes this place not comfortable at all to have dinner, besides the waitress attitude is very impatient. I won't come to here in my whole life.

The food is good. Nothing too awesome, nothing too terrible. Service was so-so, but we did ask to refill our water a few times. The food came out fairly quick (maybe because we ordered off the whole set). We ordered quite a few dishes so there wasn't even room, but they just stood there and expect us to move things around for them. Other Chinese places we have went to would've transferred some of the eaten dishes to a smaller dish. The weirdest part was the lady (the owner maybe?) wanted us to keep her menu "clean". We kept one of the menus so we can keep track of all the dishes, and she literally came to our table as ask us not to put it on the table because it would get too "oily". (I don't see how because it's laminated.) So we told her we would put it on the floor then. She didn't like that and pulled a chair from the next table and ask us to put it on the chair instead. OCD? I need to take one star off just for that. That experience was just plain weird.

Very good Chinese food. We wandered in here on a lazy Friday and boy were we in for a treat. Make sure to try the chong quing hot pepper chicken. Yum! Can't wait to go back for another meal. Previously had to drive all the way to Bellevue Bamboo garden for the kind of food quality. The tables could be bigger, seriously - we didn't have enough place to put all the dishes we ordered. Decent service and prices.
