My friend took me here, telling me how great this place is. Me thinks my friends taste buds have gone south. The food was blah, and it came out luke warm. The egg foo young was pre made, and I got very little fried rice with my meal. BUT.. Thank God I did get very little fried rice, because 4 hours after eating there, I got sick. Real sick. I'll spare you the details, but I have been sick for two days now, and it hasn't been pleasant. I will never eat there again, and hope my friend never suggest going again. The restaurant was clean enough, and the service was fine.

Not as bad as these previous reviews make it out to be. If you are expecting authentic Chinese food go somewhere else. If yo want decent food for a decent price it's not bad.

Only two reviews in two years and both bad. So, I had to try it out lol Interior looks fine, table was a little sticky but it was promptly cleaned when I asked. Lots food going out the door, the owner lady was very friendly, the man (her husband, I think) helped serve people with a big smile... Price is about average. Food was OK.

Peanut chicken from the lunch menu was much different than other peanut chicken I've had, not sweet, subtle but good flavor. Something I could eat regularly and not get sick of, and a great value. My dining companion had the chicken with vegetables, also from the lunch menu, and it was disgusting, slimy and bland.

The food at New Moon is quite good. Better than the food, however, are the people. Rarely have I eaten at a place where I felt more a part of the family. Good food, great people!

Loved this place for several years. The portions are huge!!! The prices are great. I quit going because the service was terrible. Totally got ignored for water refills. I went another time and was seated and handed a menu. We were looking at the menus and the lady waiting on us walked by and literally yanked the menus out of our hands and given to other customers who were just seated. She laughed and said it's okay, you wait. Very rude and strange. That was the last time.

I love that they use fresh zucchini in the sub gum chow mien. Also New Moon never uses MSG and in our family we have an allergy so that is very important. The owner is almost always there and she makes you feel part of her family the first time you come in. We eat at New Moon about 1-2 times a month and I can't seem to refer enough people there. The food is the BEST Chinese food I have had. Try the sesame chicken.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
