My favorite place for Chinese food! Great food and excellent service. Alice is almost always our waitress and she is friendly and takes a minute to talk and ask about your family that she has known from previous visits. Gone are the days of ordering Chinese and expecting to get two full meals out of one combination plate though. On a recent visit, I noticed that the portion sizes have shrunk dramatically. The prices are still low though and you still get more food than you can probably eat in one sitting, but probably not enough for an entire second meal. No more leftovers for lunch the next day! The food is delivered quickly, and is very hot and fresh tasting. Love the fried rice, the chicken lo mein and the egg foo yung! They have cheap lunch and dinner specials. $6.15 for dinner special and you get your choice of two items off their dinner special list (fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, Kung pao chicken, etc). Great quality, reasonably priced, good Chinese food!

Eh, I don't understand why this place has such a high rateing. Out of the three times I've been here the food has always been greasy subpar ick on a plate. I guess this place is popular because it feels like a bar. Its super dark and dingy in there. Being a native to this town I know what to expect as to food quality, never go in with high hopes, and well this place is bad, even for Longview.

Update: The price of the "special" went up recently but still for $3.50 where can you get a full plate of freshly prepared food that you can sit and enjoy along with complimentary hot tea of you choose? It's cheap, it's close to where I work and the service is normally pretty good. Oh and quick! Never have to wait long for your meal. Thumbs up for Kim Bowl!

Went here for my mom's birthday. Ordered 7 to 8 dishes. Usually in a Chinese restaurant & order this many dishes you would find 1 dish good enough to gulp down a couple bowls of rice with. But i actually hated half of the dishes & the other half was barely so so. In other words Panda Express would get 5 stars compared to this place. Service was great though.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
