I am a frequent visitor of The Ram in Lacey, but my boyfriend's friends go married and they had a dinner at this location. It was a large group, and they made reservations for 20. More people than they expected showed up, and the staff was not accommodating. They held a separate booth open for us, but wouldn't let us give up the booth for an extra table to be brought over to the rest of the group. My boyfriend and I sat without seeing one server for 20 minutes, and decided to get drinks at the bar. A server rudely told us that we had to go through our server to get drinks, and we had to go back to our table. She did not offer to get our server for us, and was not helpful at all. The servers were awful and rude, I saw at least 2 girls roll their eyes at our group and when my boyfriend and I decided to leave and not even eat there, a server told us to "get out of the way." I was appalled.

THe RAM!!! It's the RAM!!! What can you say about it? It has good bar and grill food, The drinks are standard with their combination of beers!!! The TV is very where in the bar!!! If anything try their alligator eggs or ostrich eggs. I think that's what they were called. Just interesteing to share with others just b/c of it's name.

Was craving for a burger so we stopped at Ram. Ordered "The Faburge" burger which is named after the famed "fabergé" egg. features breakfast, lunch and dinner in every bite! seasoned burger patty, cheddar, sliced ham, hickory smoked bacon, fried egg, fried onion crisps and mayo. It was delicious! Since its a large burger, I took it home for a late night snack! The server "Pulani" was a true gem. She was proactive and checked up on my table. The only gripes are the garlic fries were soggy..the cooks put too much olive oil on it and the music was a bit too loud whereas you can't really hold a conversation. Nice place. Some items are pricey.

Went back again on 14 Dec 13 because we loved the beer from the first time we went. Beer was still excellent. This time I ordered the chili burger, which was hearty and delicious. The chili is rich and the burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. Perfect winter meal. We had the cheese dip for appetizer, which was a good call. Super delicious.

The food was great the service was even better. Wow I will come back again and bring more friends. Well I went to the black Angus restaurant and was not waited on do over 15 minutes left there came back here and my beer in hand in less then 2 minutes and with a smile. Great experience for my first time. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I thought it was only because she was training someone but my companions said they'd had her as a server before and she's always that way. Cool. I can see this place as becoming my go to Burger joint in Lakewood. Huge selection of burgers and a variety of other stuff from pasta to salads. I especially liked the homemade chips. The Dirty Ruben was my choice. It definitely satisfied my hunger. It was monstrous. The place has plenty of TV's and a good selection of Beer too for you sports fans. I am hoping for the same experience every time!

Some horrible lounge service. And the pretend "mgr" is even worse. Save yourself the grief. There are several other Rams close that will take way better care of you. We were in the lounge about 20 minutes ago. And in Tacoma Ram. So I guess it isn't every rams policy to I'D 50 yr. Old men. So you lied.

No to happy. Service is ok, as for food not really impressed. For what our paying you get very little of it. Basically an over priced Denny's. Don't waste your time or money.

I've been going to the ram for years. I order the All American all the time because its my favorite but lately I've tried their steak sandwich and its pure heavenly! Even our to go orders were fabulous tonight! I really enjoy the atmosphere when I'm there with just my family, or with my boyfriend, or just the girls.

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening with some friends for dinner. I ordered a salad, although every salad on their menu included chicken, and I'm vegetarian. I asked the waitress if I could substitute an egg or a avocado for the chicken, and she said that would be no problem. When the food arrive, the order was correct, but when I got my bill, there was an extra charge for the egg and avocado substitute, which amounted to about $16 for a salad instead of the $13 price on the menu (for a SALAD, mind you). I don't mind a charge added to a plain salad to add extra ingredients, but when the restaurant is saving on the most expensive ingredient (the chicken), I expect the substituted ingredients to either come without an extra charge, or a reduced charge, or at the very least, to be informed that the change will cost me more. This is standard practice for salads served with meat at every other restaurant where I've ever made this request. Add to it that the beers we ordered when placing our order came when we were nearly finished eating (and we were the ONLY customers in the entire restaurant at the time), and I won't bother coming back. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother, either.

I have been here many times and I always get decent service and good food. My favorite part is that if you and a friend order a sandwich and salad, they will split them in half and plate them separately so you both can have half an order of each. This makes for a great way to try different entrees.

Decided to stop by for some eats and to watch the Final Four, YAY UConn!!!! Pretty surprised that the bar wasn't as crowded as the parking lot looked but that just worked in our favor in getting a good seat. This was my second visit to this location and I enjoyed the food and service, also the drinks weren't that shabby either:) The Ram in Lakewood will be a spot that I visit in the future.

When I first came to Tacoma I went to the Ram in Puyallup, Tacoma, and Lakewood. While going to school in Lacey, I went to the Lacey location. The food has always been ordinary and service bad at all locations. I always went because friends chose to go there and after going to the Ram I always thought it would have been better to go to McDonald's and pick some beer up to take home. Well, recently after a 4 year hiatus from the Ram I decided to give it another shot. I heard they had a new menu and when I looked it up it seemed pretty exciting. Well, I went to the Lakewood location and they are worse than before.

I went to dinner with some people I know from my dentist office. They were just getting off work. I arrived before and it was dinner time. Very busy but they were accommodating. They sat me at a huge booth even though it would be the three of us. They were good about directing my dinner mates to where the table was located when they got there 15 mins later. The service was average. The waiter did a good job with our orders. My ribeye steak sucked pretty bad though...I'd say about 40% of it was clumps of fat. There was no flavor...no salt or pepper at all? Nothing...veggies were garbage...the mash potatoes with cheese was good. Our appetizers were good though. Drinks came fast and were refilled promptly...alcoholic drinks as well. That is the only reason for 4 stars...cause the server did a great job.

Metro standard bar and grill. Good food, great beer! A little pricey, unless it's Happy hour - great to watch the ball games on Sunday!

Didn't even get a chance to eat there tonight. Spent half an hour waiting for our server in a relatively empty restaurant. My 11 year old was starving so we went to Wendy's. I love the Ram, on Ruston. They'll keep my business, but I'll never be back to this one (Lakewood).

I agree with some of the reviews on here most of the food there is kinda Of blah, but in saying that I always go for a good burger there I haven't had a bad on yet. Also I never order their signature beers, I always go for their seasonal beers the snow angel this winter was great and also the pumpkin ale yummy. I can't wait for summer to come around and have the bare foot wit again. So my advice when going here go seat in the bar area order a seasonal beer and order a stadium burger with the sweet potato fries. - Extra note I only like the Ram in the Lakewood town center area it's the original and they just make the food better and it's never really busy.

OK place - decent brews and standard food - if back in Tacoma I'll swing by again for lunch but not going out of my way. Started with the beer cheese & ham soup which was pretty darn good and my main was the Brewers Steak - I asked for it medium rare but it came out medium well as well as cool. My guess is they put it on the shelf while the rest of the tables order was completed...even though the rest had burgers.

Last night was the worst experience I have ever had at The Ram. We chose to visit the Ram because friends of ours had never been there and it has always been good. I grew up in Lakewood and going to this family owned business. After arriving at the Ram and beginning our order I checked the Ram here on yelp and was shocked to see the current rating and was in disbelief. I give it one star because there were some redeeming qualities. We ordered appetizers. The Calamari and the Armadillo Eggs. Both were delicious. The server who brought our appetizers out was friendly and joked around about them almost not making it to the table. She was not wrong in anyway way. The fried Calamari was the steak part of the squid and was soft and melt in your mouth delicious. The Armadillo Eggs were something I would love to learn to replicate. Spicy in all the right ways. Our server I can not remember his name was great to begin with but got unattentive and distant as the night progressed and got worse for us. I don't understand why when you are assigned a server why other servers bring your meal components to your table? Our server only delivered our drinks to our table. So on to dinner, Vampire Fries, as they smell delicious they were greasy as all get out and not a very large serving when ordered s a side. My friend ordered and asked for a large side of the fries and was not told they only come in one size. My husband who also ordered a side of the fries received more on his side order then our friend. Also ordered was the clam chowder. I am not sure what it was that was received but it was not clam chowder. It was super runny, no depth to it and looked like water down soup from a can. correction that might look better. Chowder from a can has bigger potato slices in them. The burger ordered by our friends.. The bottom bun was so full of grease and not appetizing at all. It was soaked, and again the vampire fries with the order was super greasy also. My meal was okay. The cheddar mashed potatoes were a little beyond warm, but were not creaming at all, they were like a lump in the ramekin they were in. I added some butter to them to make them palatable. The seasonal grilled vegetables were cold not done at all and did not look appetizing at all. They are peppers, zucchini, red onions and mushrooms. With the mushrooms in the mix it makes the vegetables look like they have dirt all over them. I also had the Porter Mushroom Chicken. This was good. My husband's meal out of all four meals was perfect with the exception of the vegi's not looking appetizing but they were hot. The Chowder came without a spoon we had to stop another server to get a spoon and the butter that I requested for the potatoes. Our server finally brought my husband's soda refill back and asked if everything was good but he kept walking and didn't even stop to listen to how it wasn't okay. So not only does he not bring out our food he isn't there to ask us if there is anything else. It was not a busy time of the night. We arrived there at 4:30pm for an early dinner. So off to stop another server and ask for a manager. Charles the manager was great at his customer service and apologized for the state that our food was received in. He offered to have everything remade correctly but by that time the server and the food had put a bad taste in our friends mouth. So they food was taken off the check and 40 dollar vouchers were given to our friends and 20 dollars to us for the experience. My husband finished his meal and I most of mine. We didn't see our server at all to see if we needed drink refills while we sat there and we had to wave down another server to ask for our checks I am disappointed nothing was taken off our check for my meal and I don't feel my friends should have been charged for anything they did eat. I know the beer still had to be paid for because that can not be comped. Yes the manager did try to make it right by offering vouchers to come back and try again but I am not so sure I want to visit the Lakewood Ram anytime soon.

First time ordering take out and it was just as bad as coming in. So dissapointed. I ordered a gluten free option steak and they gave the sides but it shouldnt even count as a side they gave me a to go cup and not even half it was full. Also they failed to ask me how I liked my steak and i'm pregnant and I have to have my steak well done and my boyfriend brings me my order and its rare. Never will I ever go back to this RAM again. ALSO they had my phone number they couldv'e called to ask about my steak but no they just made the order how ever they felt I would've liked.....girl on the phone was very rude as well. Asking me if I wanted any condiments and I said sure steak sauce in maybe a little container and she laughed and said see what I can do. No steak sauce came with my order either.

1st visit, Teriyaki Stir Fry Chicken, Food was cold, comes back 5 sec later scorching hot. Microwave? Desert, ordered a cake of some sort...it came rock frozen i couldnt even get the knife in it. 2nd visit, Veggie burger with sauteed onions....came with raw onions. Took them over 25 min to resolve the issue. For a gift certificate since I was waiting for a movie. Friend ordered Fish and chips...the potatoes were still raw in the middle. Waitress? Where did she go? Can we get silverware...after the food arrives it does. 3rd visit, Veggie burger with Mushrooms.....came with the cardboard from the mushroom box sauteed and all. The only thing this place deserves any stars is on the Buffalo French Fries.

The Ram is pretty much on the target for what it is. Its a grill. Would I call it a microbrewery? Maybe on the downscale of what I find a 'microbrewery'. Good apps and good Ram brews.. however, I am a cider girl and they have crap Hornsby. I do like that they have a sampler of their brews. I was happy with my french dip and we shared a happy hour chips and salsa. NOTE: I had to ask for the hh discount, because even though that menu dons your restaurant table, is only available at said hh menu prices IN the bar area. OOPS.. the waitress was gracious and took off the extra $2 after we asked and she explained. Portions are huge. Know this. Share and save the extra $ for more brew samples.

GOOD food I had the beer bater shrimp and my wife had the steak which was cooked to perfection. I had the Total Disorder Porter but tried The Blonde and The Red Beer. ( go there and you will find out) My only complaint is please with like 50 seconds left of a game DO NOT CHANGE THE CHANNEL but thats my only complaint.

My group had the unfortunate chance to be at work on Super Bowl Sunday at Ft Lewis (from out of town), so we all got into a car and came down to Ram's to get some brews while watching the game. They were kind enough to put some tables for my group since they were packed at the time. The beers: okay, not that great The food: Not some decent, could use some work. This was the consensus with the entire group ordering a variety of foods.

  • Michael M.

I've been here more times than I can count. Food is usually pretty good, but service is reliably spotty, from the waiter that is more interested in the the game than service, to the waitress that wants to talk to her friends rather than serve. Very disappointing!

The Ram is a pretty standard beer-and-steaks joint. They also have a bar and serve seafood, sandwiches, and some DELICIOUS appetizers. My favorite pseudo-meal is an order of mozzarella sticks, a Barefoot Wit, and onion rings [being a grown-up is awesome]. They have a happy hour, but it's in the bar only and there are signs for it on all the tables in the general dining area as well. Yesterday we thought we could get happy hour rates, and were informed that they are just for the bar but were given the discount anyway. That was pretty fair. My husband loves the pulled pork sandwich, and they also have some delicious Alaskan fish and chips. I wish they had local seafood though. I'm sure Pike Place Fish could show them what's what! Something I really like about this place is their drinks. They have a selection of 'skinny' cocktails, 6 beers plus a seasonal beer on draught, and lots of other concoctions to try. I like the mojito and if you like your brew on the medium side, try a Buttface [however hard it might be not to giggle when you say it]. Again, being a grown-up rules. Nice waitstaff, generic eats, yummy libations. It's alright.

Not too bad, I don't drink so it's not great to me. The Armadillo eggs are pretty awesome though

  • James P.

I come here often for the beer and burgers, I've seen plenty of bad reviews for service, but service in the bar is usually top notch. The seasonal beers are great and I love their Porter. Try the burgers, my favorites are the hillbilly and the stadium. They would rate a little higher if there hadn't been occasional mistakes, such as getting a well done when I ordered medium rare, but out of the several dozen times I've been there it has only happened twice. When the waitng staff noticed, I just ate it, they offered to replace it.

Good food and great service in the bar. I especially enjoy the fact that the bar is separated enough from the restaurant that I don't have to listen to all the loud families while I enjoy a drink.

Took an hour yesterday for us to get our food, it wasn't hot, burger buns were so wet it was like they were dipped in water. Food didn't come the way we ordered it. Waitress was MIA at times. Burger lacked flavor entirely. May or may not be back..

Oh my HOT CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD! It's just perfect and the reason why I keep coming back. The warm sauce is heavenly and Although it's no longer on the menu- They will still make it for you because they're freakin' awesome! Must must try.

Lets see.... Started off our experience by holding the door open for a couple guys coming out only to be told "thanks faggots". Perfect way to start your dinner. Front receptionist couldn't figure out who was first...there was us and a father and son. Table service wasn't all that great...one server for the whole place except the bar. Not impressed.

  • Brian S.

Went here when I was in town visiting friends and watched the Wash St game. I agree that thus is not a place if you're looking for a dining experience. It's regular pub fare, with an emphasis on its burgers, I had a chicken sandwich which was decent. This is a place to have craft beers and watch the game and it does well. Just be careful if you're watching the game and hear "yelping" it's just the deaf woman by herself at the booth, make a friend and buy her a beer

  • Daniel Z.

Not to much different than the Puyallup location, again I must say the peanut butter burger is a must try, even if they don't have it on the menu. The food is always good, no matter what I order. Again, like the Puyallup location it's nothing special, but it is good and I will go back. The atmosphere in them has really improved from years ago.

The beer snob in me knows what I'm getting at a Ram. Mostly mediocre beer and huge calorie laden platters of not bad, but not good either, food. I'm O.K. with that since most Ram outlets have great sports viewing with lots of screens and the full satellite package. But this Ram is weird. You walk in and the host stand is to your right and the open kitchen is to your left. So you can't get past the entry without walking through the kitchen. If it's busy, you might need to keep an eye out so you don't body check a server with a tray of food to the ground. And in this one, the bar is through the kitchen and make a left and go into a "hidden" room. Once in there, it's the standard good sports bar feel with one massive and a bunch of smaller screens. But the layout of this particular Ram is odd and uncomfortable.

  • Allen B.

Previous visits to this Ram have been less than stellar. Seemed like the place was just going through the motions. This time around, though, I was quite impressed. They added some items to the menu that looked tempting and delicious. One of them was the Hillbilly burger and it was just that, dag nabbit. A well made burger w/lots of flavor. And the fries were cooked perfectly. The hot turkey sandwich was a little less impressive but the mashed spuds w/pepperjack cheese shined. The gravy for the sandwich was a little bland. With the white bread, stuffing, potatoes and gravy it was definitely starch overkill. But overall, I'd say the food and service has the other Rams (2 in Puyallup, 1 on Ruston Way) beat.

  • Jennifer M.

Keep in mind, I have not been in Seattle for 2 years now, but when I lived there, I loved to go to The Ram, either Lakewood or Puyallup. It was always delicious, ram chips are FANTASTIC!!! I wish they had one in Savannah, seriously. From reading the reviews below, it seems to have changed and not in a positive way. I recommend everybody try this place and make your own review. If it is horrible, I apologize for recommending it, but keep in mind, it used to be good.

I only go here for the happy hour, which has a decent selection of appetizers and 1/2 priced well drinks. The service is usually slow so be prepared to sit a little while, especially on a Friday. It never wows me, but it is consistent and I usually leave satisfied.

I was excited when this location got a fresh look and expansion a couple years ago. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the improvements extended to the food and service, which I remember being way better years ago. When we went in recently for lunch around 2pm on a Thursday, our waitress was cheerful and actually did a great job, giving us the table we wanted under the atrium skylights and taking our orders promptly, then checking back with us throughout the meal. Definitely no complaints regarding the service this time around (though I think we might have been her only table). But the food was lackluster. I ordered my old stand-by, the foccacia club sandwich, with no onions and no tomatoes (I can't tell you the number of times I've made this exact order and it comes out with one or the other or both of those toppings!). This time, it came out plain and simple just like I wanted - but it was COLD in the middle! For a hot sandwich, this just isn't tasty at all. They weren't busy while we were there so I feel like the cook could have taken the extra minute to get it heated through for me. My mom had the Thai chicken lettuce wraps and enjoyed them for the most part, but she said the flavors left a lot to be desired - heavy on the salt and not much else. I still love an icy pint of the Ram Blonde beer and of course their mud pie, but I am sadly disappointed in the way the food has gone (downhill) since back in the day. If they could start serving some consistently good food (besides their burgers, which are usually excellent), I'd be coming back here more often.

My husband and I came to the ram for a party. I am pregnant and was starving. We ordered the Hummus appetizer but it ended up not even coming until we got our entrees. The hummus was watery, the veggies dried out and the bread soggy. I ordered the Reuben without sauerkraut and horseradish sauce. The waitress brought me a burger and claimed they had both a Reuben Sandwich AND a Reuben Burger on the menu. I asked for her to bring the sandwich, which she did but with sauerkraut and horseradish sauce. I tried scraping off the sauerkraut but could do nothing about the horseradish sauce. At this point, since we had received our food last, the waitress was gracious enough to take the Reuben off the bill.

I've been to three rams this is the second best in my opinion. Food tastes pretty good and restaurant is nice but the location is another story. Not one of my favorite places to go, when I do feel like going to the ram i would much rather go to the one off ruston way. If your in that part of the town I would not not recommend the restaurant i just wouldn't recommend the restaurant either.

  • Ellie C.

I haven't been here in almost 2 years. Mostly because the Ram had become such a production let down. But tonight we ventured down to see what was new. The service was still mediocre at best, which was sadly to be expected. The food was ok. Our salads came at the same time as our meal, but thankfully it was happy hour so it was half price. However, I have to bump up the rating to three stars because the brewmaster in charge of the coconut porter did a fantastic job! It is smooth, rich and has so many subtle flavors that you can't help but be intrigued by it. It's delicious!

A complete waste of time. Terrible service, and the food is lousy as well! I haven't been in the Ram for a few years, because the last time(about 3 years ago) I was so disappointed. The service was lousy then and the food was not much better. Had been in about 4 years before that and had a "shoe leather" steak. They took it back, twice. I had sworn not to go back there, but I caved under peer pressure. I figured it had been awhile agreed to give it a try again. I admit I was skeptical walking in, but the gang wanted to go. There was not very many customers inside, for being a Sunday. Got a booth fast, placed our orders, then waited. The appetizer order was screwed up, (came with our meals). The waitress never came to check on us until the order was ready. Food was bland, portions are fair sized but over priced IMHO. Took her forever to bring out box for one of our tables leftovers. Ran into some friends there, and they also commented on the service(or lack of it). Quote" It seems like they just don't care." We all agreed that we will NEVER go back. AND I FOR ONE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!

Boyfriend and I had wanted to go to the RAM for a while, finally went when I got a coupon! The service was great, the food not so much. It was okay, but nowhere near as good as I'd hoped for. We got Armadillo Eggs for an appetizer, honestly- both of us thought they were kinda gross. He got the Rhinelander burger, which was really not German at all... the "pretzel bun" was not actually a pretzel, at all. Just kinda looked like it. He got a seasonal Oktoberfest beer, he said it was okay. I got the raspberry lemonade, I actually really enjoyed that. I also got the fish and chips. It was only ok. It was supposedly beer battered. I don't know about that, all I could smell was the oil used for cooking it, which also gave it a funny after-taste. It was also rather bland. For what it's worth, I have had better fish and chips at Ivars.

Jumping on board here with my experience at this place. It was heavily updated/remodeled last year and the interior looks nice. Unfortunately the thing that wasn't upgraded is the slow, snotty service that i've received on virtually every visit there. The food is generally OK but nothing special and is overpriced. The homebrewed beers are good but don't make it worth the visit. The sister-restaurant on Ruston Way is always better service-wise.

It doesn't matter what Ram you go into, they are all about the same. Cool buildings, good locations, lots of TV's and plenty of noise. If you go on a busy night the service will be mediocre at best. Most of the food is pretty good . Here is the thing. When you order a hamburger and your waiter asks you how you want it cooked, like they do at the Ram, order something different. The burger will either be burnt, dried out, or pink inside(under cooked). When a restaurant asks how you want your burger cooked, like they do at the Ram, it means they are running their grill too hot. Yesterday I went to the Ram for lunch with with my golf buddies. We all ordered burgers. The waiter asked "How you fellas want them burgers cooked". We all said "Done". He said " Well done". We said "No. Just done". Then we had a discussion as to how a burger should actually be cooked. I told the waiter "There is little chance that you will bring those burgers out, cooked right". He smugly disagreed. Sadly, the burgers came out overly seared (slightly burnt) on the outside, still slightly pink inside. It blows me away. With all the discussion that preceded the waiter placing that order. We are talking, not crowded, late lunch on a Monday afternoon. The Ram could not properly cook a hamburger. Done, Still juicy. Not burnt.

Super disappointed last night. We were in the mood for a burger and was trying to decide between the Ram and Red Robin. We decided to go with the Ram because we wanted a really yummy burger and boy were we wrong with our choice. Not only was the burger just warm, so were the frys. Even more disappointing was the taste and quality. The burger didn't taste meaty and it wasn't juicy at all! The meat th bun ratio was poor too. Way too much bun, not enough meat. We don't get out much and have "cheat" meals so I was really looking forward to this dinner and sadly my hopes were crushed :(

Located in the Lakewood Towne Plaza, this is a great spot to grab some food, have a beer, watch the game, and play some trivia. Parking is in a lot, there is overload parking at the doctor's office next door. Anyways, the food! I had the Total Disorder Porter Prime burger, It was southern BBQ beef, with caramelized onions and creamy horseradish Havarti on a bun. Talk about yum! The portions were huge, service was fairly prompt, my drink was empty only once the entire time. Definitely a good place to eat some casual dining style food and have a beer!

Lousy service, and bad food. Mcdonalds can cook a better burger than this place.

My husband and I have eaten here twice now. The first time was when my mother and sister were in town from out of state. That visit had great service, decent food and nice cold beer. Hubby and I decided to go back for a second visit tonight because it was nice the first time. Unfortunately the food took incredibly long as there was some kind of miscommunication back in the kitchen. In spite of that my husband said his steak was good and I enjoyed my BBQ chicken pizza when it did come out. The waiter apologized to us for the abnormally long wait and made it up to us by giving us both entrees for free. That was so nice of him that we actually ordered two more pints of beer just because. Overall I still enjoy it here. It's not the place to go if you are looking for upscale or chief quality food but for a straight forward American food and beer night, I give it an A-OK.

I would give this place less than 1 star if I could. We were being directed to our table and I slipped and fell. The lovely hostess turns to my husband and I and says in valley drawl "Oh yeaaaaahhhhh.....that'sssss slippery." AND WALKS TO THE TABLE WITHOUT US. With the immense pain I was in after falling squarely on bone, the sub-par food made the evening a waste. The management didn't even ASK if I was ok, and in retrospect I should have been more vocal about my disgust for this place. Save yourself a trip and go down the street to Red Robin.

I wish I could give 0 stars. SOO BAD! I work right in the same complex which makes getting food from here convenient when I only have a half hour lunch. I have given The Lakewood Ram at least 5 chances to make something right. Each time they screw my to-go order up. Today was the last straw and I will NOT be going back. First, the hostess asked me if I ordered waffle fries, I told her no, I ordered the Olympis salad. She hands me a bag, I pay and walk back to my office to enjoy my lunch. I get to the office and realize she gave me the waffle fries (and of course I didn't check because she asked me what my order was)! I walk back to the Ram and get my salad. Walk back to my office and THEN find out my salad was missing the chicken!! I admit, I should have checked the 2nd time, but seriously!??! Ridiculous. Every time I have ordered here they screw something up. I go to the Ram in Tacoma and they are 100 xs better! Don't waste your time or money!!

You know, you get what you pay for. You want a nice burger, maybe some nachos, maybe a nice cold lager? Well, then this is your place! I prefer the bar area, but the dining area is fine. Wait staff are decent, place is pretty clean. It's a nice standby, nothing too fancy, and that's the way I like it. If you're a snooty little snob from Seattle, then it won't meet your standards of cultural novelty. But if you just want to relax and not worry about anything, this place is for you.

I've never been to the Ram until last weekend. Went during the day and it didn't look busy at all but we still had to wait because the tables weren't cleared off. Do they even have bussers ? cause' it looked like the hostess was clearing off the tables. Service was real slow took forever for our food to come out, and our waitress never refilled our water just walked right past us.

A++ for a sports bar! I called in last Sunday morning to ask if they were playing the Packers game and a very cheery woman said "Happy football Sunday! Of course we're showing it, I can see a table near one of the TVs with the game on and I can hold it for you if you like, there are some very nice people from Wisconsin sitting near there!" So I was instantly impressed with that customer service and we hadn't even gotten there yet. Upon arriving, she remembered me from the phone and said "You're Christine right? I've got your table right over here" Felt like a VIP at a sports bar, ha! So anyway, I got the Buttface Amber Ale, which was great and my wife and I shared the Beer Cheese Dip with Pretzels, which was delicious. I should note we were at the bar area, and there were a ton or TVs with every game on. The Sea Hawks were playing, but I was told by another Packers fan that we get the big TV when the 2 teams aren't playing at the same time. The atmosphere was great, all of the staff was so attentive and nice. This is our new spot for watching the games :)

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Seated immediately. Jasmine, my server was incredibly on top of everything. She made sure that I needed nothing. I got things before I even thought about asking for them. She was attentive and proactive. Probably the best experience that I have had here. She is an asset, and should be rewarded for it. I will be back because of this experience.

Not bad. Love the environment & the restaurant life. Haven't been in the lounge & rather not. I've seen inside & it's dark. If there a lot of people, not many room. Restaurant side is nice. The customer service was awesome. Our waitress was Marie I believe & I hope she'll be there a while because me & my other half is going to make the ram a regular. We went around 6-7p on a Thursday and the wait list went by quick. I'm not sure about the weekend. Food is alright. Had to reorder fries which came in a good amount of time. The desert was awesome!! To bad it'll be on the menu for a little while longer. My bf said the drinks were good too. Definitely recommend if you want booze, a game & some food.

I've eaten at three of the locations: Lacey, Lakewood, and Rustin. Today I was in Lakewood and had a Cobb salad that needed some help. First off, the lettuce needed to go through a salad spinner...it seemed wet. The chicken breast was like jerky. There is no way that it was fresh. I think it was pre-cooked and refrigerated and taken out and sliced when needed. The whole thing needed some love. The Proud Mary (bloody Mary) was an everything but the kitchen sink eye-opener. Just right. The service was very good. My recommendation would be to skip the salads and stick to the burgers and sandwiches.

I was not too impressed with this restaurant like I thought I would be. Don't get me wrong; It has decent beer and decent food. Service wasn't over the top. Overall, it's a decent place to be. What's that word? Oh yeah, average. Adequate parking and it was located at the Lakewood Towne Center, which made it an easy choice for dinner. Definitely a plus. But everything was just okay. There wasn't anything special to write home about... Reminded me of going to Red Robin where everything is kind of jus generic. Would I come here again? Yes. Would I be impressed the second time around? Most likely not. But hey, at least there's beer :-D

Originally from the midwest, we don't have many Ram Breweries. I enjoyed a lovely Mac n' cheese with crab that made enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I had their red IPA which was also very delicious. It did seem a little expensive, and although the food was very tasty, it isn't the best restaurant/brewery food I've ever had. I will definitely be going back.

Terrible customer service. So slow. It's a Thursday night & the bar isn't full, took us 15 minutes to get a beer when we could've reached over to pull it from the tap ourselves.

Great chain restaurant that doesn't feel like a chain. Great burgers and beer, as that's all I've had here I can't comment on the rest of the menu. I prefer sitting in the lounge area if I have the option.

The Ram is a huge company so you'd think they'd have food service down to a science. Unfortunately our visit was more science fiction than science. We were a party of 6 and half the orders were wrong. It took quite awhile to remake the orders and hence everyone's food arrived at different times. A plain hamburger was requested but arrived with cheese (dairy allergies were indicated to server) so that too was sent back. No discount was given, although the rejected food was sheepishly offered ("we're just going to throw it away") and a small plate of fries magically appeared. The manager came to our table, but that didn't seem to expedite the service. Foodwise my burger was delicious. My daughter's pasta was not sufficiently hot but she was okay with it. (By this time we didn't want to send anything else back!) I walked away disappointed because I know The Ram can do better. It wasn't very busy- the dining room was about 40% full, so perhaps something was amiss that night. I won't return anytime soon.

The service was great, turkey burger was delicious; the bread pudding was AWESOMELY, DELICIOUS and huge. OMG I was pleasantly surprised and have leftovers for one meal and two desserts. We came during lunch, late and missed the lunch crowd. We'll definitely return with our growler the next time.

Been going here for over 15 years at least once a week. The restaurant has been renovated at least once. The menus continues to change and evolve. The staff is always pleasant and friendly but continues to change. The Brewmaster is great. I love the lunch specials of 1/2 sandwich and soap. Great Clam chowder. The beer Cheese soup was great too. I love the Grand Ruben and the Turkey Havarty Melt. Been a Mug Club member for a very long time.

Arrived for a birthday party, went into bar ordered round of drinks for 4, exactly 25 min later, after Going up to the bar and asking to get my drinks, the same waitress said she would bring them. 15 more minutes we get our drinks that had now been sitting on the bar to 35 plus more minutes. Went into banquet room for party, ordered app and drink, 1 hour later drink arrived no app. Ready to leave still no app, asked for it to go 30 min went by they forgot. It was humans and chips, I did not have another 30 min, we have already paid our tab, shorted 2 drinks no food, and paid for them. This is my complaint, I have 12 other friends experience this with me and there orders what a train wreck. Save your time and money this place is a joke.

WHAT I LOVED: Manager - her name start with a J... She was really nice, came and answered my question, and resolved an issue I had immediately. Great example of great service. Location - Plenty of parking, right near Lakewood Town Center. Beer Selection - I had their seasonal wheat bear with a shot of orange juice! Very refreshing. OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH: Food - It was okay, the All American Sliders were pretty bare and didn't seem to be cooked with love. The Philly sliders were better, but the cheese sauce tastes kind of cheap. Portion Sizes - VERY SMALL! I ordered a cup of the soup and it was TINY! FINALY THOUGHTS: Not the best in terms of food, but I'd come back for beers and to say hi to the manager (the mysterious J lady). You can also join their rewards program and get access to some freebies immediately... with purchase of additional items of course! 3 stars.

The Ram is a good solid restaurant/brewery combo. I've had a hard time finding a beer there that I really liked, but that's just me. I've been a couple times, either early afternoon or late at night--It's a great place to grab a bite before or after a movie over at the AMC. I've also been to the Ram over here on the Waterfront, and I have to say, I will drive the extra 10-20 minutes to the Lakewood Ram because the service is that much better. The food is also fantastic. The Faburge burger is... outstanding. It's like halfway between burger and steak. I was also moderately pleased with the Meatloaf Sandwich, and one other time I ordered the Ramborghini Chicken Penne. Delish. Oh, and the Vampire Fries. Oh my. Let me tell you about the Vampire Fries. Not for the feint of heart... so much garlic that they were almost spicy. When you're eating out with an Italian, that's always a plus. Just make sure if you're on a date, you BOTH order them so you counteract each other's stinky breath.

I think I have only been to the Ram once.. that was about 3-4 years ago. I didn't even eat anything there other than sip someone else's beer. This time however, I went with a close friend of mine and we ordered some Vampire Fries! ooooohh, smothered in garlic... just the way I like it! I absolutely love garlic on anything and my obsession with fries... best combo ever... well cheesy fries are better I think. I don't remember what our meal was... it was a special, so it isn't on the menu I believe. It had salmon... and pasta noodles... I am sure it was a chef's summer special or something. I do remember having a Bacardi Pineapple Fusion Pina Colada... mmm, my first Pina Colada... it was alright. Sweet enough for me and blended so I was content. I think I had my first pizookie ever? The skillet cookie was more than enough for two to chow down on! I am a huge cookie fan but... choco chips aren't my favorite. It was like a choco chip... jungle!! I had to make my way around it to eat the dough and ice cream. The Ram is just like most other chain restaurants, nothing too fancy about it.

My girlfriend and I came in here on a Sunday night around 7pm. We went straight to the bar to grab a seat, we ended up sitting at a booth that hadn't been cleaned yet which was fine because the bar was decently busy with two cocktailers and one bartender and the previous party had just left being that my seat was still a little warm. Our server came over and greeted us kindly and cleaned off the table. Then came back around and took our drink order yada yada...this is where I have to agree with some of the previous reviews. First, my beer took quite a while to get to me. The spinach dip for an appetizer was good. But when our entrees came out I was disappointed to find that my sandwich didn't get the cheese I had request it come with. This is a simple and quick fix, One would assume. After bringing it to our servers attention she gladly took it to have it fixed. She returned about one minute later to inform me that she just had he kitchen remake it because there was a hair on my plate anyhow. That was fine by me because the "crispy" onions on my sandwich were quite soggy anyway but the steak was cooked perfectly. When I received my sandwich about 15 minutes later the meat was overdone, the fries were overdone as well, the onions were again soggy, and the two dipping sauces for my fires were no longer there. I understand it may have been a busy night and the kitchen may have been misinformed and I would excuse all of that if I got a small discount on my bill or had the manager come check on our table to see if we were happy with our experience and to ensure we come back. I was charged the extra dollar for the cheese that took 15 minutes to add which honestly was just silly but hey maybe it slipped our servers mind to take it off of our bill. All in all it was a mediocre experience and I didn't leave hungry but... I can't say that we'll be back any time soon... which is a shame because we enjoy the other Ram restaurants in Puyallup and Tacoma. Okay I'm done.

There were a total of four tables of people including ourselves and it took more than 20 mins to order our food and more than 30 mins to get it. I understand that if a restaurant is busy there will be a wait but not when the place is empty The steak sandwich was good and my husband enjoyed his wings.

Not a fan, and that definitely disappoints because friends said good things. Came in to watch the game and ordered a shot and a beer. Shot was measured out and poured into a large shot glass, making it seem super short poured. Great first impression. Bartend took forever to take our order, not like they were packed. Having worked at a bar a simple I'll be right with you goes a long way. Food was good for pub food. What killed my mood was my beer sat empty for a good 20 min to the point where another waitress commented that man needs another beer from across the bar when she was picking up her drinks. Maybe will come back if someone wants to meet there, but I wouldn't suggest it

Was told there were no clear tables when we could clearly see many (8+) and told to wait. Ok, we'll give it a minute. New customers walk in and were instantly seated at one of the "dirty" tables that we were told needed work. Extremely poor service, will not be returning.

I think if they had better managers to back up their severs plus enough severs to work people would get better service plus if you can't afford food stay home and if you're just a miserable kinda person you should stay home as well and not take your miserable life out on people just trying to make a living. Simply ridiculous some of the comments I have read. I work in a place where there's a lot of interaction with people and the ones that are rude I would love to go to their job and make them miserable as they do to others!

We brought seven adults with 10 gymnasts into the RAM after a competition, during the seahawks playoff. We were seated quickly, adults at a booth, kids at a table, and had an incredibly good time. Britney, our host, was outstanding. She single handedly managed both tables. Everybody received their order correctly and timely. She managed the kid table with respect and coordinated with the adults for potential problems. Britney was awsome. You should know that the RAM's menu is not for the delicate pallet. Food is "manly" and plentiful, as was the beer. My Porter was excellent. I read the negative reviews and did not understand where they were coming from. If you are hungry its a great place to go.

Lost my phone here & they did not care at all about helping me find it & were VERY short & rude when I called inquiring about the next day. Didn't even suggest that they could check cameras once I realized where I had left it & that it was stolen. $68 meal + brand new phone :(

Very high prices for average food. 2 burgers and fries and drinks, $60.00?? This place is not all that. The service was average as well. Drinks sat empty for a most our meal. When it was time to pay was when the waitress finally thought it time to refill our drinks. Not impressed!

Oh the Ram. I always forget that I don't care for you so much and accept invites to come grab a bite here. I came here on Christmas Eve with my husband, brother-in-law and father-in-law. It was a party of 4 and we had a long day with the Seahawks game and whatnot. I admit that I felt bad that it was X-mas Eve and we were about to sit down and eat. But our hostess rudely told us that she wanted to tell us they were closing and quite honestly, we should sit in the bar. We opted to sit in the dining room as we didn't want to deal with the drunk crowds or loud TV's. She then had our server seat us and loudly tell her that we were her last table for the night. We ordered our food as quickly as our server could come grab it and then waited. The food came out at a slower pace and we were conscious of trying to eat as quickly as we could. After all, we did not intend to eat out on X-mas eve but it just happened to work out that way. My father-in-law paid the bill and we were finishing up our meals when our server came by and grabbed the bill folder and told us that basically they were closed. It wasn't just the rude fact it was X-mas Eve and we were trying to not stay beyond our welcome but the food was mediocre and the servers made it very apparent they did not want our business or us to be there.

This place has been a reliable place for my family. We always have good service and my kids are well treated. That earns them at least 4 stars. The only thing I've come across to disappoint me are desserts. The other night, we had the skillet cookie. Not bad, but too gooey and really thin. With 4 of us diving in, it was gone is less than 2 minutes. Tonight, I thought I'd try the Skillet Brownie Sundae. I expect the following: a brownie cooked in a skillet with a good balance of ice cream, syrup, and a bit of whip cream. I got: a microwaved brownie (with uneven heating so some parts were too hard to break with my spoon) sitting in a pool of chocolate (the brownie didn't touch the sides of the "skillet") covered with a mound of whipped topping encapsulating about four tablespoons of ice cream. On the way home, I mentioned it to my husband. "I expected it to be baked in the skillet, not nuked and dropped in." He replied, "Did it say it was baked in it?" "Well, no." I conceded. "However, I don't want to eat somewhere I have to worry about being tricked." Bad form Ram. I'll have to find a place with honest desserts I guess.

I forgot to hit submit when I originally made this review. I went in here for dinner with my dad about a month ago and we have been here before and the food and service have both been pretty good. We ordered our appetizer with our drinks, they brought out our drinks about 5 minutes later and we then ordered our dinner. We waited 30 minutes and still didnt get our appetizer. As we were waiting I noticed 3 other tables complain about their food. So after 35 minutes our waitress brings out our appetizer and then comes back again with our dinner, we explained how most people like to eat their appetizer before their dinner and now our food would be cold so she said they would remake it. Within 1 minute of finishing our appetizer she brings our food out, my dad had a steak and I had a burger. He ordered his steak medium rare and it was cooked wrong and both of our meals were cold. They remade them and another 20 minutes later we got our food, my burger was warm but at this point I just wanted my dinner, my dads steak was cooked wrong yet again so they remade it again. Another 15 minutes passes and they bring him a piece of meat that was all fat and the waitress then explains how they have been receiving bad cuts of meet and asks him if he would like to change his order. Now he ordered their halibut and 20 minutes later they bring it out and surprisingly it was cooked right. So I had been done with dinner for nearly an hour before my dad received a meal that was cooked right. I talked to 3 other customers and their meals were comped and the only thing they did for us was comp our appetizer. I called to ask to speak to the manager the next day and he sent us a gift card for $40 when our bill was $75. We went in again, this time I ordered macaroni and cheese and the first thing I found was a long piece of hair. They re made it and it was fine, they bought my desert. I would never walk into this establishment again and I don't reccomend anyone to.

Here at The Ram right now. For starters the host and the server were sweet. They made sure we got a good seat that was available. We were seated at a table since all the booths were taken. Since a party had just left not too long after the host let us move to a booth. My boyfriend and I ordered an Olympus salad to share. It was pretty tasty. It contained spinach with artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, bacon, chicken, avocado, and a garlic artichoke vinaigrette. To follow, we both ordered a medium well Brewer 8oz sirloin that had a side of fired onions and steamed vegetables. In substitute of the cheddar mashed potatoes we got both got fully loaded baked potatoes. The fully loaded baked potatoes were nothing special. They looked like a regular baked potato with a small portion of sour cream, chives and bacon. I was disappointed that there was no sight of melted cheese on my baked potato like I would normally see at other locations. As for the meat, the description of the entree listed on the menu said the sirloin was marinated for 12 hours prior. Just taking a glance at it, it looked dry. Once I cut into it, there was no sign of pink. It was over cooked. And once I actually tried it there was no flavor. It did not taste like it was marinated at all. The meat was not tender and was awfully chewy. My boyfriend's plate was the same. After we notified the server, the manager explained to us that the reason for all of this is possibly because our sirloin came from packages. He did not know what the meat was marinated in or why it was not flavored properly. He repeatedly exclaimed that he will notify their provider. And drew a conclusion that the dryness of the meat could be because they froze the meat and then heated it up. That made my food not sound special at all. Honestly it made me not want to eat there again. Although our main dish was not satisfying, I was a little happy that he took our dishes off out bill. He saved us $50. We only had to worry about our salad, drinks, and baked potatoes. We also made sure our server got a good tip since this wasn't her fault and she did her part well.

We we went twice last week. Our first visit was good but they were lacking in things. On our first visit there were 2 large groups, we had arrived first but they sat the other group first we were both a party of 8. Then our waitress forgot our drinks. The food was good but i ordered the Vampire fries and my burger was soaked in the oil as they didn't pit them in the cup. Now on our second visit we were sat rather quickly had a great server who made sure we had everything. The food was amazing. We are looking forward to going back.

Rating is for the bar area, only - this was basically my husband and my version of the corner pub when we first got married. We don't go as often as we used to, so the wait staff doesn't have our orders memorized anymore, but it's still a great place to go with him or with friends to grab a booth and enjoy a relaxed dinner. TVs are usually on sports, but since the room is small it doesn't get obnoxiously loud (and the high seatbacks on the booths really help with conversation at the table- they're like a little cocoon). The beers are locally brewed, and sometimes they are really good and sometimes just above average (a lot of times, I feel like the CO2 mix might be a bit off) but never bad. The Proud Mary Bloody Mary is probably one of my favorite bloody mary's every - plus, the swizzle stick is a great snack in it's own right if you are really hungry and waiting on food! It does get busy sometimes - it's a restaurant - and service suffers when that happens. But I believe you need to judge a place for what it is, and the bar at this Ram is an excellent place for a low-key night out. PS: The food is excellent by steak and burger joint standards - burger prices are closer to Ruby Tuesdays, but food quality is more like an Outback. Also tends towards huge-ish portions - my favorites are the Fa-burg-e (egg and hamburger) and the sirloin steak salad (steak is marinated in Total Disorder Porter, with gorgonzola cheese crumbled on top. The champagne dressing its served with is also really tasty).
