A group of co-workers and I went to the Yuppie Tavern last Friday night for an after work drink. It was our first time there and was suggested by a friend to try out. The bar itself was okay - a typical dive bar. Janice, the new owner rocks. She's really funny and liked her a lot. However, some of our group got the wrong orders. One person ordered a burger with fries and got a burger with coleslaw instead. He also was served the wrong beer. It looked like Janice was the only one taking orders and bringing out food, but the service was very slow. It took so long to get your food and then to have the order wrong was a disappointment. The Sliders were good, but wished they also included fries. The food over all was extremely small portions and disappointing and many of us were left hungry or ordering more food, only to wait and wait to get it. The menu wasn't that appealing and wished they had different beer selections. They were great in accommodating our group and reservation, Janice is awesome, but might try a different location for our next after work get together.

I have only been here a few times but everytime has been great! The two bartenders that I have had were fast and attentive. I don't usually get to go out much so when I do I want to go to someplace where I can get everything in one place. The drinks are reasonably priced and you aren't drinking a watered down version like at some other places. The food truck outside has the best mozzarella sticks I have ever had! I went out on the back patio for the first time and it's a really nice place to relax away from the live music. In summary, good drinks, good food, relaxing outside and live music inside. The new projectors make it the perfect place to go watch the game!

Claim pulled pork bbq sandwich. Just told, oh not bbq. What's the point. And everyone knows if you serve pulled pork bbq you must serve sweet tea. Skip the sandwich and go to McDonald's for your sweet tea fix.

I love going here when they have bands here. It is usually packed. The food if you get there in time is good. It has a very eclectic atmosphere and the drinks are great. Any time Knee Deep are playing I'll be there for the dancing and fun.

The kamikaze drink special is awesome jello shots are ok priced I really wanted to like this place because half of its a pawn shop the other half is cowboy theme but the wait staff leave alot to be desired. We sat at the bar ordered a small amount of food 8 drinks and a dozen or 2 hello shots and it felt like we were irritating the wait staff and when we asked about gluten free food on the menu literally there was an eye roll!! There is live music which was great there's a small tv put on the deck so you don't miss the game but the bartenders really need replaced or trained in customer service. There's plenty of parking. On a Friday night the place is packed and not with a bunch of hipster 20 some things so its comfortable if your over 30 or dressed casual

Friendly staff, good food, and they have WCS dancing on Monday nights. I frequent this establishment primarily for the dancing, and the lesson at 7pm is free.

Have enjoyed their food truck burgers several times... I dont know what happened but my husband and I both got food poisoning from burgers here last week. Suspect they were trying to use up the old beef. Tasted a little cold/reheated, and my last 2 days have been spent in the bathroom. Will never go back.

Seriously feel like this place is my second home, my family frequents this bar weekly! LOVE Danielle (the bartender) and both Willy & Miguel make delicous food in the truck! The menu may seem small but they make up for it in how delicous the food actually is. The back patio is fun to hang out at (and it's covered!) and the service is awesome even when you're sitting outside. Jell-o shots are amaze and the beer selection is even more amaze! I don't believe I've been there when there has been a live band but Thursday karaoke is a blast- plus it's ladies night! The crowd is always different and interesting, they definitely have a fair share of regulars and know how to treat customers! I absolutely recommend this bar as I love a good hole in the wall/hidden gem dive bar!

Fun place to go! Great food and large drink selection. All the bartenders are great! There are live bands and other events happening most (if not all) nights. The beef and pork tacos are great, as are the burgers and waffle fries! I went for Super Bowl and it was a ton of fun! Jell-O shots, great drink specials and a large selection of food! Overall, a great place to go!

My boyfriend and I are are from across the water and wanted to find a place to meet some of his old friends. He googled and found this place had karaoke on Thursday nights. Upon coming here, the parking lot looked dead. We came in and it was dead as well.... some older people were playing some virtual golf game. I even remember saying to him, "are you sure you don't want to go somewhere else?" His friends quickly arrived so we decided to see how things went. I surprisingly had a lot of fun! The place did not get crowded, but a couple younger people came trickling in, along with some awesome older people who loved to sing, dance crazy, and have a good time. If you're coming here to karaoke, the selection is so-so. The binder isn't as big as I usually see them... they didn't have "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin, but lots of random stuff like Hannah Montana, etc. This place has daily drink specials ($5 somethings), which was awesome. If you're looking to go here, I would call to make sure they're open. Prior to coming here, they had told my boyfriend they do close early if it's terribly slow.

I cannot make any comments on the food except that above reviewers wondered if it came from the truck. Answer: It did. Here is the statement on their web-site: Daily & weekly specials created and served by our food truck extraordinaires Miguel & Willy. They do have a decent little dance floor - wood - if you like to dance.

I completely agree with the other reviewer. I was meeting my dad here and the sign out front said pawn shop but then the other sign said tavern. if you look thru the windows you see the pawn shop...I was confused but walked in. Not a big menu selection but I decided to play it safe with a turkey sandwich. The waiter lady was where a matching terry clothe sweat outfit...ok...Drinks came fast, we were the only people in here! Food took some time and I was too surprised by the overall presentation. I also had the same though about it coming from the food truck outside. I thought the bread was really good but there was nothing special about my sandwich. And all I could think about was how packed in sodium the meat must be. The also charge an additional $2.25 to sub in french fries instead of chips, cole slaw or something else. I have never heard of a dive bar charging that much to sub in fries. Honestly, I would never come here again. The decor in the place is pretty cool.

Surprisingly delicious food. Not so surprisingly slow service. We went for a lunch on a weekend with only an hour to spend. There was no one in there, which made us wonder if was open and even serving sit down customers. However, after seating ourselves and browsing the paper menus, somebody came by to find out if we wanted to eat. We ordered within 10 minutes and then waited. And waited. At least we got our beer quickly, but the food did not come until about the time we needed to leave. I believe it came from the food truck out front (that's where the guy came from with the food), which makes it even more perplexing why it took so long. I wouldn't be too happy if I had to wait outside in the cold that long. Anyway, we ate half the food, which was awesome and more artisan for a bar than I expected, and got the rest to go. It took a little while to pay, but I blame that on their computer being fussy. I would come back here despite all this. I would just give myself a lot more time. The place is a little intimidating to come to since it is a pawn shop, but it's worth it. They have some pretty awesome and random decorations, arcade games and a variety of drinks to keep your occupied. Also, it looks like they might have karaoke. I may have to return in the evening for the bar atmosphere and music.

Seek out this hidden spot for a fantastic brisket sandwich from the BBQ truck out front and ask Heidi for a local brew. It's got a fun saloon theme, good food, good music, and friendly staff. This will be one of our regular haunts for sure.
