Teriyaki done right at a good price. Quick and friendly service. Chicken grilled just right.

Skip the fried rice if you're fond of it! The fried rice here is the worst I've had. They definitely use frozen vegetables and the rice really just doesn't taste good. However, the shrimp in the friend rice was delicious so I have a feeling their teriyaki is wonderful. Should have gone with that. Also if friendly customer service and atmosphere are important to you, don't come here. The people are very rude and I continuously smiled at each person and received a frown back each time. Oh well.

This place used to be much better teriyaki joint about ten years ago. Now,,,,too much MSG!!! Each time I have to drink a bottle of water to wash out MSG after taste. I want something quality over the quanity.

Great place! Efficiently run and wonderful go-to for a quick pickup dinner. We go here all the time.

I ate at Teriyaki Madness in Kirkland last night with a few friends. Immediately upon entering the restaurant and looking at the menu, I could feel the tension between the older gentlemen at the cash register and our small group. It was our first time eating here so we just needed a few minutes to check out the menu - we even let a customer who walked in behind us order first because we knew we would be holding him up. After deciding on our order I walked up to the counter only to be interrupted after each item (we all ordered on one ticket) with, "Okay, that's it?" The older gentlemen was so extremely rude that I began to feel uncomfortable and tried to smile and apologize each time I said, "No, we would also like...". It made for a pretty awkward experience. Not to mention that he tapped on the screen showing my total as I was grabbing my debit card from my purse. I tipped well because I had only heard great things about this place and I thought maybe it would put the man in a better mood. Obviously, my efforts went unnoticed as he screeched out our orders, multiple times, as they became ready...even though we quickly jumped up the first time he said it. I felt weird asking for an extra napkin AND there was a hair on my fork (it wasn't worth mentioning last night..he clearly was not in a good mood). Anyway, I'm definitely willing to give this place another try. Maybe it was what we were wearing, because we were new, that we decided to eat there instead of taking it home, who knows. I have a feeling the man working last night was the owner and I hope nobody else gets treated this way when they dine here.

The service here was prompt and the food decent. I thought it was a bit over cooked and over salted. I prefer Nasai Teriyaki around the corner.

Food is average for teriyaki. There are two people who run the register, a lady and a man. The man is very rude and acts as if he doesn't give a $hit if you choose his restaurant or not. The plastic forks are the flimbsiest things I've ever seen! Spend the extra penny and get something your customers can actually use! Overall, food and location are good enough to keep me coming back but I refuse to look the guy at the register in the eye, because he refuses the same to me.

The egg rolls are amazing. Eat them with the sweet and sour sauce and then thank me later. The teriyaki is the best in town, the portions are good. It's nothing to write home about, but it's the way to go if that's what you're craving. They are never friendly. No one smiles, no one thanks you, and they generally cast off the impression that you're sort of inconveniencing them. I'd give them four stars, but it's seriously pretty bad. I'm not joking about the egg rolls though.

Bigger portions, longer wait than Madness 2:The Teriyakian. Cucumber salad wasn't overly vinegar flavored. Spicy chicken was just hot enough. Good white rice base for the foundation the chicken was on. Dunno if lady understood my questions and brochure had old prices(everything used to be fifty cent cheaper) I don't even know why she told me that. Tasted good, price is about average now to other places in the area

I've been going to this teriyaki place since 1992. It definately was better back then. through several ownership change, it did maintain it's taste but not as good as it was. Still one of my favorite teriyaki joint and I still go back for some more.. ^^

Man oh man, this was delicious! Exactly what we were looking for. We had the chicken/steak combo and had it made spicy and changed to fried rice. Shouldn't have done the fried rice, they use the frozen mixed vegetable package with lima beans and green beans, but the meat...oh the meat was so very awesome! As with most places they'll sell you their teriyaki sauce if you ask them. Used it at home already and it made some awesome shrimp at home. Not the easiest place to get in and out of, but would likely go back again when in the area.

This was a great place to stop for a quick lunch with my family. The seating is a bit limited for the high traffic this restaurant gets. Our party of 6 had to split up to separate tables, but there was enough seating to go around. Service was prompt, food was delicious, and prices were very fair. Portions are very large so if you don't want leftovers you might consider sharing.

  • Ashley S.

Teriyaki Madness has large portion sizes, private parking, and a decent amount of seating. They have a total of around 20 seats, with tables and barstools available. The people who work there are friendly. If you're not a salad person, they will give you extra rice instead of you ask.

I have been going there for almost 7 years. Good things. 1. Good portion 2. Good price 3. Good owner I used to eat and finsh their teriyaki alone because it was so delicious and can't get that much meat from anywhere else. But as a result, I gained my weight so much.. So, now, I don't necessarily finish it by myself, instead I share with my wife. Yes, I am telling you how big and generous they give to you at reasonable prices. Another good thing is that their chicken is very juicy and fresh, because their turnaround is very quick and cooks so many chicken teriyaki continuously. Look at their grills, there already are twenty chicken teriyaki being grilled before you come. So you get the freshest chicken teriyaki in 1~2 mins.

Cucumber salad, LOTS of chicken and rice. What's not to like? Pretty fairly priced too! I go here probably 2,3 times a week when I'm too busy to cook or go grocery shopping. They always know my order and it take them about 2 minutes for them to get it to me! Love this place NAM NAM NAM

  • Evan H.

The food is decent - at times it is very very chewy. Also the cashier is far from nice and the place is not very clean.

    (2)
  • Jeff L.

The food is OK but I don't plan on going back after the owner publicly shamed me for not hearing him call my name. He honestly screamed at me in front of everyone that I took too long to get my order. Sorry, but I don't go to a place to get yelled at. If you want to get treated like a punk kid, go here, but if not, there are plenty of other places to go.

Maybe they know teriyaki, we didn't try that, but they don't know stir fried veggies or classical chinese dishes (or how to display/advertise those dishes honestly.) If they were closer we'd have returned the food. Cashew chicken was nothing but bland teriyaki chicken with stir fried veggies and some cashews, looked nothing at all like what they showed on the menu picture. Veggie stir fry with tofu, the tofu was mostly huge chunks that were almost too big for my mouth (which is not small). In both entrees the veggies ranged from tiny to huge pieces, prepped very inconsistently. Also cooked twice past death and vastly dominated by cabbage - who doesn't love piles of overcooked cabbage? Gyoza seemed to be grocery store gyoza cooked from frozen, not made by them, bland and cheap. Dipping sauce was safeway chinese style, "double hi" brand, cheap stuff in packets. Teriyaki sauce was thin and not flavorful, maybe Kikkoman.

My wife and I love this place. The people that own this business are really friendly and always remember us. We can go months between visits and the owner still lights up a smile and good conversation. The food is tasty and very comparable pricing to other teriyaki restaurants. Well recommended! Try the Gyoza too!

This is one of those growing little chains of yaki joints that's doing it right. Looks like they have a couple spots on the west side and then this one here in Kirkland. This is one of Kirkland's lower-profile strip malls (you become something of a strip mall connoisseur if life brings you through Kirkland with any regularity). There's decent parking. Just to let you know they're seriously knocked-out cuckoo about serving teriyaki, the word "Madness" in their sign is written in all different colors, and kind of off-key, like a little kid wrote in crayon. Nutty! You walk in and there's not much seating, but they're continually rocking the to-go orders. People are grabbing their little plastic bags every couple minutes, so the kitchen is always banging, even if there are only a couple of stools taken. In fact, they don't even have plates and silverware--you eat out a clamshell with plastic forks even if you're dining in. The chicken breast yaki is good stuff, tender, flavorful, well-spiced. What sets Teriyaki Madness apart is the side dish: a nice little pile of cucumber slices. A great combination with spicy chicken yaki, and it makes you wonder why no one else is doing it. Good stuff.

Amazing stake and Chicken combo AMAZING

  • Brittany L.

Teriyaki was decent. They have really good sauce that I didn't get much of, but that's okay because I think my coworkers "light on the sauce" made it "light on the sauce" for both of us. The real winner here is that they give you sunomono (pickled cucumber salad) instead of the salad-from-a-bag with some horrible dressing all over it. That deserved two stars in itself. The only gripe you could say I have is that the service is very short and abrupt. I felt like I was an annoyance to them all for calling and placing my order, paying for it, and picking it up. Oh well.

  • Sarah E.

Simple, quick and tasty! Nothing too special about this place but my go to when I am in the mood for Teriyaki for lunch near my work. If you get anything spicy here it is VERY spicy. If you just want a little spice just get a normal dish and ad some Siracha or other chili sauce they have on their condiment table.

    (3)
  • Jerry M.

It was good but both dishes we ordered were so spicy we could not finish them. We love spicy food but there were so many chili flakes they took over the dishes. I would recomend you ask for the star scale when you order.

    (3)
  • David S.

Decent teriyaki and fried rice. Egg rolls and goyza are good. Small and cramped.

    (3)
  • Jaime K.

Rude service. There is much better Teriyaki over at Nasai. The meat is WAY better. The rice tasted like it had been sitting out all day at Teriyaki Madness.

  • Steve S.

They have the best I have ever had. Spicy chicken is my favorite. I usually order two! (One for tomorrow). Friendly warm service always, and never hungry afterwards!!!! :-)

    (5)
  • Brett A.

Best tasting teriyaki I've had. Pros: cucumber salad, spicy chicken teriyaki, free tea Cons: $$ prices have been consistently increasing since I started going, which I guess makes sense but you can still get good teriyaki for 6-7$ elsewhere. You're looking at 8-9$ here.

    (5)
  • Camille C.

The BEST cucumber salad I've ever had at a Teriyaki place. It's run by a mother & son, every single time I've come here for lunch they are so welcoming since they always remember me. I always order the Spicy Chicken Breast with extra teriyaki sauce. I don't even have to say "extra teriyaki sauce" they see me walk in & it's already in the bag. This is my favorite teriyaki place, EVER! Recommendation all around! The facility is for take-out only. Chairs are only for people waiting for their food to be ready.

    (5)
  • Krystal B.

Favorite place for teriyaki and reasonable prices. Only complaint is that the parking can be a bit of a situation but still worth it!

  • Gary F.

It's okay, but I'm not clamoring to go back. It is, as the other reviews document, clean - but the teriyaki is just average or slightly above average. The cashier was neither friendly, nor unfriendly; he took our order and money in a robotic manner with blank affect. I don't hold that against them; I didn't go there to make friends. The chief complaint by our group was that all food, eat-in or take-out, is delivered in those compartmentalized styrofoam trays. Beyond lazy anti-environmental presentation, it's difficult to cut food in them, particularly say the short ribs. I have to respectfully disagree my Yelping brothers and sisters that pronounce this the best teriyaki in Kirkland - I firmly believe Rikki Rikki holds that title, even factoring in the price difference. Will I go back? Yes. Am I in a hurry to go back? No.

Some of the best teriyaki I've ever had! If I have a craving for teriyaki chicken, tofu or some yakisoba, I will go to Teriyaki Madness. Always fresh and good pieces of chicken and beef. The sauce is also fantastic, not too thick or too sweet!

    (4)
  • Kevin E.

This is the closest teriyaki restaurant to where I live. I've enjoyed the chicken teriyaki and the spicy chicken teriyaki so far. I've been here only about five times and every time has been excellent food, nice portions of chicken, rice and cucumber salad. I've never eaten there but there are a few tables. The service is fast, especially if you call ahead. Nice workers here. The parking seems to be an issue sometimes and the parking lot can be tricky during peak times.

    (5)
  • Sarah H.

My absolute favorite place to grab teriyaki. Very reasonably priced, and the food tastes fresh, unlike most other teriyaki places which tastes like the teriyaki has been sitting out all day long. Only thing that could possibly be better, is the customer service.

Teriyaki Madness is, for all intents and purposes, a place to get a quick bite. I typically use this place for my "quick dinner" or "quick lunch during work" spot. It isn't the most elegant place or anything of the sort, but for what it's worth - it's a good "get and go" type of place. Positives: - Food is excellent. I've tried the Salmon and Chicken Teriyaki, and both were great (sauce isn't too thick or too thin, perfect). - Lunch Specials are great for those on a budget and still looking for good, somewhat healthy, food. - Staff is friendly, which is key to the 'up and coming' business protocol. - Food comes out quick, perfect for those with tight schedules. - Lots of Parking, so no worries about getting a spot. Negatives: - The actual place is VERY small, and VERY limited seating. If you are looking to sit and eat, don't come here. Particularly around Lunch time, those 2 tables are typically taken.

Love the cucumber salad and brown rice. Tasty teriyaki sauce too! The fried tofu is a little chewy and overcooked for my taste, but still decent. I do like how clean it is inside... some other teriyaki joints in Seattle are a little sketchy. A good place to get teriyaki overall.

  • Stacy Y.

Many reasons why people love teriyaki because they are affordable, usually good sized portion and super fast. But one complain I always have for all teriyaki restaurants is that they charge $1 for spicy teriyaki when it's the same sauce they offer on the side. First time being here, and I thought my chicken teriyaki was decent with tender meat, rice was cook well, and I like the cucumber salad that came with it instead of salad. I also liked the deep-fried goyza, crispy and good flavor. My boyfriend ordered white meat teriyaki, and he thought his was more dry rather than tender. He made it spicy and was charged $1 more for the same hot sauce on the table. Overall, it's a good place to get your fast lunch take out or dining in. All orders come in take out boxes, so if you can't finish it, you can easily take the box and go.

I had a Groupon for this place, so my daughter and I stopped their for dinner. We ordered Teriyaki Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and Chicken Yakisoba. The Teriyaki and the Yakisoba tasted good, but the Kung Pao seemed a bit off. I ate a few bites and brought home the leftovers. My daughter didn't eat any of the Kung Pao. Later that night, around midnight, I start vomiting. Every hour I am vomiting, and I can't even keep water down. I ended up in the ER the next day and am told I have food poisoning. Since the only time I ate food from outside my home in the previous 48 hours was at Teriyaki Madness, I have to assume this is where I got sick. Eat there with caution.

A co-worker went on and on about how great this food is and offered to go on a food run. The reviews are great for the chicken (but I hate chicken) so I tried the beef/pork combo (assuming I would like one better for the next run). Maybe it just wasn't right for me because I like the flavor of meat cooked in Teriyaki...but I'm not fond of Teriyaki soup. The sauce was so drenched that the rice was floating in syrup. I know some people like that...but to me, it's like drenching your food in ketchup. I assume that it's to cover the flavor of bad food...which, in this case, seemed to be the reason. The pork tasted fine (after shaking some of the sauce off of it). The beef, however, tasted old and smelled off. It was also tough and a strange color. I gave 2 stars because I will try again with hopes it was just an off day for anything other than chicken. Next time, I'll ask for the sauce on the side and will stay away from the beef.

Good sized portions, tasty BBQ chicken and beef, and friendly service. It's a small store though and there's usually a small line.

Some of the better teriyaki in Kirkland. The sauce isn't the best I've had, but it is still pretty good. I really appreciate the clean restaurant and fast service.

  • Shay R.

My Collegue and I decided to have Teriyaki for lunch. I was very satisfied with my Teriyaki Chicken, however my collegue had Beef Yakisoba. She was not impressed. The service was my biggest issue, the guy that answered the phone was very rude on the phone when I placed my order. I figured it may have just been busy in the store, and he wasn't able to provide the best customer service. When I arrived the store was empty, and the guy was very rude in person as well. When I asked a question about my order, he looked at me like i was stupid, and snapped back an answer. I will most likely not go to this place again because the customer service was garbage. They should work on how they talk to people.

  • J J.

Eh.. not bad, not life-changing. The regular chicken is kinda sketch... fatty. The chicken breast is on the dry side, but not as dry as other 'yaki breast I've had. The topping is more of a thick glaze, and it is pretty yummy--but eat it while it's hot, because it turns gelatinous when it cools.

  • Spaceman S.

Can't say enough good about this place, nor is there much to add to previous reviews. Was shown this place back in 2000 and have been a huge fan ever since. I've only ever had "the special", which hasn't changed in the 10 years I've been going. Yes, the price has gone up from $4.99, but it's still the best deal in the area. Yes, it's a little sweet, but the cucumber salad is heavenly and you can add a mix of a few sauces to get the perfect blend of tasty melt-your-face-off heat. Water cups are a bit small, but they're free, so no complaints. Soda selection is great. You can go to PCC to shop for healthy food or to the gym nextdoor or the liquor store across the street--pick your poison-- Houghton has it all. Please check this place out, it is seriously the best ever.

I got around to trying this place hoping it would trump my two other usual teriyaki joints, since Bellevue is terrible. I ordered two different dishes and considering what you get for the price, quality, and taste, I give it an average score. It wasn't bad, it wasn't good. The price was a tad higher than other teriyakis but I won't ding it for that since it was marginal. Portions are also decent, not as much as other joints but close enough, I can lose some on the waistline anyway. Dishes: Chicken Katsu was cooked slightly too much and the sauce is terrible, I chose to opt for teriyaki sauce and sriracha mix. The beef was actually decent and the gyozas were just average. Disclaimer: I have only been here once, eat a ton of teriyaki so I would think my judgment is fair though I have a slight bias for teriyaki that is less-americanized. I would go back again if I was in the area but not worth driving to just for a meal. I'm starting to put this one out there but I've noticed Kirkland restaurant reviews are inflated fairly high compared to my liking, I am curious if it's the residents of the area that are judging food very differently in comparison or just love to inflate their area? hmm.

  • Adam T.

I can't say I'm as over the top about Teriyaki as most Seattleites appear to be, but this place is pretty solid. The price is right, the food is good and the Teriyaki is salty and sweet. There's really not a lot to write about this place other than it's what you would expect. I only give it 4 stars as I'm sure there is a better place than this. That being said, I've been here a bunch of times and always been satisfied.

  • Daniela R.

So far this is some of the best teriyaki that I've had in Kirkland. I order either the Teriyaki w/gyoza or eggroll combo, chicken katsu, or the spicy chicken which are all very good. Portion and price are excellent as well. The service there is awesome and they try and get you in and out of the door very quickly. They do get very busy during lunch time but it's never a long wait.

  • Joey L.

It's tough to stand out as a teriyaki restaurant on the eastside. Teriyaki Madness however is the clear winner in Kirkland for top teriyaki. The service is as friendly as you'll find in any teriyaki restaurant. Prices are likewise comparable. However, Teriyaki Madness stands out in food. They have fresh cucumber salad that comes with each dish, instead of the awful cole slawish salad we all throw away from the other places. Good pork teriyaki is also hard to come by, and I usually judge a teriyaki place by the quality of the pork. Teriyaki Madness has great pork. And of course, the chicken teriyaki is nice and juicy, not dry like sub-par restaurants. I whole heartedly recommend Teriyaki Madness.

  • Dan L.

The Madness is the best teriyaki in the USA. I like mine with brown rice. I have been to many Teriyaki Madness and each one has been a terrific experience.

Eating here right now for the first time. Finally someone that includes a yummy big cucumber salad instead of a nasty coleslaw or iceberg lettuce with warm ranch. I ordered the chicken and gyoza combo for around 8 bucks. Generous portion and the chicken is juicy with just enough yummy sauce on top. Gyoza is crispy. My favorite thing is the fact they have frozen yogurt!!!

  • Rocky K.

I should have known something wasn't right when a few of the reviews on here talked about the cucumber salad being so good! Is it really the salad is so good or the rest of the food is that bad? My chicken is rubbery, shrimp seems old (I know, I am sure it is frozen like most places use, but it isn't good), and the service was poor. Yes, the best part of the meal is the cucumbers salad (and the rice), but thats like going Disneyland and saying the best part is the bathrooms! (Normal) people don't go to teriyaki restaurants because of the side salad. With so many other teriyaki options around, it is Madness to think I would ever go back to Teriyaki Madness!

  • Mark S.

I have been eating here since 1999. It's my favorite teriyaki place. I've never had a poor experience and I judge all other teriyaki joints against Madness. I always order "The Special" and my only complaint is inflation... it used to be $4.25 when I first started eating here and now the special is up to $6.99. It's still totally worth it and they have a customer loyalty card that rewards you with a free entree when you've bought 10.

  • Christie J.

I honestly can't get enough of this place! I am a huge fan of their chicken (spicy and regular teriyaki are both great) as well as the tofu teriyaki and the veggie stir fry. This is by the best teriyaki place I have ever been to. The owners are wonder Korean people which I truly believe is what helps them stand apart from other teriyaki places. Korean food has well known for being healthier than other asian foods and although teriyaki isn't traditionally Korean, they keep it healthy by grilling the chicken and offering a brown rice option. The prices have gone up a lot recently, but that doesn't seem to slow anyone down. I am forever grateful to have a quick and tasty place to grab food when I need it!

I come here once in awhile when I'm getting my hair done next door at Salon Featherly. Love the portions and food, not a fan of the cucumber salad but you can ask to have that replaced with a lettuce salad :D Otherwise I've never been dissatisfied!

When our offices move to Kirkland, I was excited to know that there was an allegedly delicious and quick teriyaki place right up the street. The first time I went it wasn't so bad. In fact, it tasted like every other teriyaki joint in the city. The second time I ate there I was slightly disappointed. There wasn't much teriyaki on my teriyaki, and the cucumber salad was dry and distasteful. The third time I went there will be my last. I branched out and got the chicken/beef teriyaki combo and the egg roll. I swear it tasted like I was eating dog. The meat was gooey, the flavor was retched. Thank goodness for the egg rolls, because that was all I could muster up enough taste buds to continue eating. Guess I'll be looking for another place to get my teriyaki fix.

Stopped here on the fly with my daughter after picking up a few things at PCC. When we entered it was clear there was some type of spill three people there were cleaning up. The gentleman who helped us was clearly annoyed that we were there and was really unhelpful. The best description of him was really, really crabby, enough so that we took our order to go instead of eating there. When we got in the car my daughter realized she forgot her drink from the case and we just left it, didn't even want to go back to collect it. The teriyaki was adequate but will not be back after my experience with Mr. Crabs.

Very good teriyaki. I have ordered the spicy teriyaki twice and it was amazing. Really legit spice level (I'm one of those morons that order 8 star out of 5 at restaurants) and the meat was juicy and not dry at all. The cucumber salad is a nice side dish instead of the regular boring salad plastered in dressing. Very light and good compliment to the spice of the chicken. Reasonably priced and quick service. I highly recommend this place!

If you haven't been in, you need to make a point to go. The staff is friendly, it's clean and quick. The only complaint I would have is they use to offer a house hot tea and sugar and everytime I've come in, they are either out of the tea or don't have it displayed. They do get busy, but even on their busy days (lunch) I am in and out the door within 5 minutes as a walk in. I haven't ventured out much because the first dish I tried there has remained a favorite-their daily special. I love that they do not give you cole slaw as a side dish, but vinegar cucumbers, delicious! I'm now a flexitarian (only eating meat on rare occassions) so if I do go out of my way to eat meat, I will be stopping here first thing-so that should say something about how good their food is!

So there are places that at the end of the day, you feel good having spent your money there. For me, this is one of those places. I'm going to make this short because, with teriyaki places, you know what you're getting: chicken or steak teriyaki, rice, and soda (if you wish). Pretty basic, right? This is not to dismiss their food at all though however because their teriyaki (compared other places) is AWESOME. They give you a solid amount of food and the prices are what you would expect from a place in Kirkland. What sets this place apart for me? The thing I like about Teriyaki Madness is the people who work there. Every time I come in, they always greet me by name, they know what I like, and they're always smiling. They're extremely helpful and when you buy from them, you feel like your money is supporting people who deserve it. That's why I will always choose this place over a chain or a big name restaurant any day of the week. Would I recommend this place? I already have! :)

A truly great Teriyaki joint. Service is prompt, quality is high, prices are reasonable and the portions are filling. The daily "Special", clocking in at just over 6 bucks, is plenty of chicken, rice and cucumber salad to leave even a big eater like me feeling plenty full! I never quite manage to have leftovers like I do at, say, Yasukos -- but the quality at Teriyaki madness more than makes up for my inability to make a 2nd meal out of it. I've tried a vartiety of the menu options, and each has been really tasty. The steak and chicken combo is probably my favorite; but when I'm in a hurry, the 60 second turnaround time for the standard chicken "special" is fantastic. The sauce is on the good side of average; not exceptionally authentic as far as real teriyaki sauce goes, but very satisfying and consistent. I make several trips a week, and plan to keep it up and ride a good thing while its still here :)

This is the best teriyaki in Kirkland. The food here is always tasty, and most importantly, always fresh. I love that this place is always clean! It's not one of those places you walk away from wondering if you've made a huge mistake... I'm also a big fan of the cucumbers-instead-of-salad situation. They're covered in a perfect dash of rice vinegar.

We recently ordered take away from Teriyaki madness. We tried the spicy chicken and the Kung pao chicken. Both were good though the side of fried rice was hardly ok. Overall, the food is good and most likely we will go back there for more teriyaki.

Excellent serving size and price. Teriyaki sauce is very thick and sweet, and the staff prepare the food swiftly even during lunch rush, which does get rather busy now that Google is near by. One of the best Teriyaki places I've eaten at.

My review would be 5-star, other than the fact that I am a long-time patron and am a bit jaded as the former owners (from years ago) were so friendly, consistent and accurate. The "new" owners aren't really ever friendly and always seem to mess up my order ("extra!" sauce, please and I get zero sauce). That said: it is still the best teriyaki I have ever had on the east or west side. I just wish the owners were a little more friendly and paid a little more attention to their customers. But, maybe they know they have a good thing going and don't really care.

I dined at Teriyaki Madness about 4 years ago and remember service and the food being so delicious I ate at the same spot a few more times. Today though 4 years later and after spending over $15 for a simple teriyaki lunch I know for sure to never touch that place again. The lady at the register had 'nt cared to tear off the receipt paper from the register so there was a ridiculously long trail of named printed receipt paper on the floor in front of the register. Before even getting to order your meal there were indications that this was not going to go well. After not being sure if to shuffle the paper on the floor to the side or to just step on it the teriyaki lady at the register just half way listened to my order while I was trying to avoid stepping on her receipt paper. I ordered chicken teriyaki and a teriyaki salad to dine in! Well, at first I was impressed at the ability of the womans' triple tasking capabilities. She was able to take my order down, (but failed to reconfirm the order with me), shout out the order of a previous customer, take my payment, and squeeze out a complimentary smile after taking the credit card. Long story short: After being handed my meal in a plastic bag even though I had ordered the food to dine in the quality of the chicken was poor, the teriyaki sauce was way too sweet and strangely textured, too much rice and no site of my teriyaki salad. Instead I was handed the 2 worst teriyaki meals I have had in a very long time. Overall I'd give this teriyaki joint a 1/4 star if that!

Teriyaki Madness is amazing! The service is excellent and friendly, but the teriyaki is the best that I have every had. The portions are large, which means that I normally have leftovers. The chicken teriyaki is tender and smothered with flavorful teriyaki sauce that is the right texture and consistency. All the teriyaki dishes come with a cucumber salad, which is quite tasty. In addition to the food, the price is reasonable- especially the "daily special." This is the only teriyaki that I will drive out of my way for because it is definitely worth the trouble. You'll never want any teriyaki from anywhere else after you taste Teriyaki Madness.

In Houghton. I have also only ordered the special. It's quite good. Here's how I'd describe it: 1. Large serving 2. Decent quality chicken 3. A VERY SWEET teriyaki sauce, almost candy-like. If you are looking for hot peppery teriyaki, go elsewhere, but if you like the sweet candy sauce this is your place.

Probably the best teriyaki joints on the Eastside (used to be Toshi's, but they went downhill). Service is very fast. This is a great lunch spot, or an affordable dinner for takeout. Seating inside is nothing special. Oh, and now they have frozen yogurt!

Food: Delicious spicy chicken teriyaki and beef short ribs/kalbi! Many other Japanese/Chinese entrees are also available. Most entrees come with a good amount of rice and a yummy cucumber salad. Service: Nice Korean family owned restaurant. They do get very busy during the lunch hour rush so it is recommended to call orders in advance if possible. Value: A great deal for good portions of food. Ambiance: Typical strip mall joint, but kept nice and clean. Very limited seating (maybe 3 tables and then a few bar stools on their counter).

Good teriyaki at a decent price. The sauce is good and they put a generous amount on, which I like. Fast and friendly customer service during the busy lunch hour.

Ordering always seems to be a very slow process, though once we order the food doesn't take very long to be ready. The teriyaki sauce seems a bit too sweet. The fried rice isn't so good. The yakisoba wasn't great the one time I had it.

My fiancé and I had a totally terrible experience this evening. We typically order a few times per month and while most times they get the order right, this is not the first time they got it wrong. However it is the first time that they accused us of bad faith. When we called and said that they gave us, and charged us, for a duplicated dish they said we placed the order wrong. I said we are 2 people, why would we order 3 dinners? When my fiancé took the extra order back to get his money - they yelled at him and said that we had ordered double and then told him they were too busy to deal with giving him our money back. He came home empty handed. Just goes to show that they were too busy to repeat the order back to me on the phone and they were too busy to get the order right, but they were not too busy to yell at us, tell us we were wrong and keep our money. We vow to NEVER go back here again. For mediocre food on an evening that I don't want to cook, teriyaki places are a dime a dozen. Pass this one up!

I have eaten here quite a few times and each time has been very good. I am very picky about the meat and Teriyaki sauce used and this place does a really good job with both. They give you decent servings for the price and they have great rice. Plus I love the cucumber salad! There has never been more than 1 or 2 other people when I have gone in and the wait time is only about 5 min. I highly recommend them for lunch.

I ordered the combo chicken/beef spicy and subbed for $1.99 fried rice. The meat was pretty spicy, a little fatty. I didn't expect a whole lot from the fried rice at a teriyaki place, but it was down right horrible. So, so bland and for the price. I could deal with the meat, but with no rice to go with it. It depressed me, I almost had my boyfriend go get me something else. He had ordered egg rolls and didn't care for them, but he gave a thumps up to the cucumber salad. Not planning on returning.

I've had a lot of teriyaki and these guys know their stuff. Even without the meat covered in sauce, their chicken is grilled perfectly. Choose the brown rice for a buck extra. Their portions are very generous (enough for 2 meals). Very fast service and they have a punch card. Buy 10 get the 11th free (which isn't hard to do here :)

This is my favorite Teriyaki in the area of Kirkland. They are always very fast when I order the #1 special. It's always fresh and nice size portions! The staff always gives me change of $1 instead of .97 cents, I like that! Great place for a quick 'to go' dinner. ...every once in a while I like to through a tip their way for there fast service.

Hands down, best teriyaki in the area. No need to deliver a full report as teriyaki places are pretty cut and dry, but Teriyaki Madness is delicious, quick and well worth the money. I always get the Chicken Teriyaki which comes with cucumber salad. The salad is to die for. Egg rolls are delicious as well and you are given a choice of white/brown rice with your meals. Bottom line? You can't get better teriyaki on the Eastside.

This is the closest teriyaki place to where I live. You get a huge portion and they give you a cold cucumber salad on the side instead of the normal small salad most places give. I really like the spicy chicken here. It has a nice kick to it. The regular chicken teriyaki has a pretty sweet sauce to it compared to other places. The staff is always friendly and fast.

Wow, good, quick (perhaps a minute from "chicken teriyaki" to "here you go"), and cheap ($7-ish?) -- the impossible trifecta. Dangerous, too -- just down the street from work...

Some of the best teriyaki around! Portions are big enough for two or left-overs which make the cost worth it. Always good quality chicken, you get a nice little side of cucumbers which I love. Take out is fast, but the restaurant is nice and clean too.

Pretty good Teriyaki chicken that was served before I even sat down.Friendly lady who was cooking up the grub. The decor is bright and kinda hip vibe to it. I thought it was a little pricey but the portions could of served two.

I don't even live in Kirkland anymore, but whenever I visit, this is always the first place I go. Same "Today's Special" since I was in high school in the late 90's. Go there now!

Meh. We ordered teriyaki chicken and teriyaki salmon. Were told we'd wait 10 minutes for the salmon--that's fine. My teriyaki chicken came with a whole bunch of brown, gelatinous goo covering it. What is that stuff? The chicken was ruined by it! The salmon suffered the same fate--covered with thick brown goo. As someone wrote, Seattle is filled with great teriyaki places. Kirkland, however, is apparently NOT judging by throngs of people who kept coming in. I'm accustomed to pourable teriyaki sauce that is served on the side. By the way, I'm also accustomed to using real utensils if I say, 'to stay.' Who issues plastic forks to eat chicken when you are eating in? I might have given another star if the people working there were friendly. They weren't. They looked like we were something to get past. I don't HAVE to spend my money here, ya know, and I won't again. Also, I was the only female in the place with 20 guys. Is it the enticing combination of a pound of meat and 1/2 pound of rice (don't forget the goo!)? Yes, the portions are huge but I haven't found any teriyaki place with small portions. I could have gone across the street and had something great at PCC for 1/2 the price.

Without a doubt the best teriyaki in the world. I liked in the Seattle area for 5 years and went almost every week. Every time I come back to town I MUST go there. I would give it more stars if possible. Always very consistant. I love the chicken special with the Schriracha sauce. Cuts the sweetness a bit. The cucumber salad is also the best. Would love to know how they make that sauce. I've only tried a couple other things and the were great as well, but keep coming back to the chicken teriyaki special. Nothing better anywhere. Just wish every teriyaki place would make it like this.

I love my teriyaki and am a bit of a teriyaki snob. This place has huge portions and great food. I was a little weirded out by the cucumber salad (instead of regular salad) but now I love it .

The best teriyaki I've ever had in my life. They just remodeled the dining area, so now it is very bright and colorful. I've never ordered anything except the daily special, which has been the daily special for the 9 years I lived in Seattle. Chicken teriyaki with more rice and salad (pickled cucumber salad, yum!). It's a little more than $5, what a great deal because there is so much you can usually stretch it for 2 meals.. Once in awhile I will throw in some gyoza.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions.
