Pizza Bank Restaurant Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. Try out the salads as they are not only healthy but also keeps you full for a longer period. However, you must ensure that you don't order the salads without any extra dressing.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Blood Pressure

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Love this place. Sometimes we will go in right before close and they are happy to accommodate us. Their Mixed Green salad with apples, walnuts and bleu cheese is amazing. Sometimes we will just go for the salad. And they are huge for the price. The pizza is good too. Very cheesy but that is okay with me. We take people from out of town here when we need a friendly, consistently good restaurant.

OK - I am picky, let's get that out of the way. Notice I said picky, I'm not a trained chef or food critic. Regardless, I think, correction I know I have great taste :). Whenever I want Chicken Parmesan this is the place I want to go to, anywhere else and I leave disappointed. Good size portions, great sauce, friendly staff. Did I mention I love the Chicken Parmesan? The pizza is great as well the crust is flavorful and properly baked.

A favorite for many years. Used to go all the time when we lived there and now it's for a special treat from time to time. Awesome pizza and outstanding, straight forward, Italian dishes. *Special note* My friends Dad actually shot at bank robber's as they fled the scene when it was a bank!!

Ordered takeout one time when we moved into the neighborhood. I was so tired from moving boxes i didn't take a look at the pizza until I got it home- only to realize the cheese was thoroughly burned. A few reviews mention crispy pepperoni, but the cheese was way overdone. I was too tired to take it back, so we ate what we could and continue the search for good pizza on the eastside...

The staff is great! The food is great for the price. It's not quite as good as Grandmas, but it'll do in a pinch. I'd say it's a good overall value. I thought their pizza was terrific. I would go definitely go back.

This place has been here FOREVER! It has been remodeled a dozen times and the food never changes! Located in Kirkland's, Kingsgate neighborhood, it offers up the best 'hometown' pizza ever! There are a variety of choices to make, but unfortunately they don't deliver and there is almost always a wait. Go in the middle of the week.....

  • Mindy W.

Went here on a Thursday night a few weeks ago and had a horrible experience. Everything from the food, to service, to wait times was just bad. We had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table for 4 people. Our server came over about ten minutes later and asked us what we wanted to drink, when we asked what kind of beverages they had he refused to tell us and told us that the list was on the menu so we "should just look for" ourselves. Uh.. alright? It was very busy, but he was extremely rude and made it seem like a chore to even talk to us. The food was not really good, it tasted really bland (in our party we all had something different, salad, pasta, pizza, cheese bread, etc). No one in my party had a good time here, and we agreed not to try it again. Maybe we just had an isolated incident, but I don't understand how this place is always, always so busy. The people of Kingsgate apparently love it, but we definitely didn't.

My beloved and I were on our way back to Seattle from Woodinville and was attempting to find a Baskin Robins ice cream place using the GPS application on my phone. We ended up in the parking lot of Pizza Bank where the GPS said BR was but we could see the Baskin Robins about a block away in a strip mall across 124th NE. Long story short, the pizza place smelled too good not to try. From the outside, Pizza Bank looks unremarkable but inside, it's rather nice. The fact the place was nearly packed gave us even more reason to give it a try. The wait staff there was how wait staff should be measured, i.e., friendly, competent, and eager to serve but not in your face like a fruit fly. Now, about the food: My wife ordered a chicken gyros and a simple dinner salad with lettuce, mozzarella cheese and ranch dressing . I had a small meatless "build it yourself" pizza with black olives, and pineapple. With both our dinner choices, all the ingredients were pleasantly fresh. Now, the Gyros was not a typical one in that it was missing the tzatziki sauce and fetta cheese but my wife said she appreciated it as a lower fat option (and this, coming from the one who suggested going to Baskin Robins in the first place). We split her delicious salad. When my pizza came, the top of the cheese was a lovely brown which is a rare delight I haven't experienced for at least 15 years. The pineapple tasted like it was sun ripened and just flown in from Hawaii, the olives were very fresh and the sauce, well, OMG comes to mind. Even the crust was great. And the prices, April Fools Day comes to mind. A gyros and a small ripsnortingly great pizza was only around $20.00. I'm looking forward to heating up the leftover slices and devouring them like a hungry pizza predator tonight. So, to sum up: Pizza Bank Good! And we will definitely find an excuse to go to Woodinville or Kirkland again and head home via Kingsgate and 124th NE.

I love this place. Everything is great. Good food and service. The Roadhouse pizza is fantastic. I can't get through the menu, everytime I try something new it becomes my favorite and that's all I order, then I'll taste something my wife ordered and it becomes my favorite....

  • Sara F.

The food was mediocre at best, the environment left a lot to be desired and the prices are ridiculous considering the quality of their dishes. We won't be returning.

  • Tialen K.

I have to think that unfortunetly the people who had a bad experience here had a fairly unique one. However let me clarify a few things... The Pizza is great (I really like the Road House) and the meat grinder is very decent (if you get it with the meat sauce on the side). Ok, if that was all I was reviewing I would have given it a 5star. However the fact is that everything else is so so. The salads are very very vanilla. (straight out of a bag) and the pastas are all the same pasta but just put together differently, if you have had one, you have kinda had them all. However I rate this place 4 stars because the Pizza is really very good. And this is a pizza place so that is what matters most!

Helpful and friendly staff. Great pizza and fresh, large salads. We enjoyed our meals here. We get to the Pizza Bank quite a few times each year!

Pizza Bank offers a quality dinner from a very quality staff. I worked side by side with Ray the owner back when he was a manager. They serve up some killer pizza but their pasta dishes are awesome as well. The best part however, is the bread. You can't go without trying the garlic bread or the cheesy bread.

  • Mitch M.

Based purely on the pizza, I advise you to run! There are loads of non-pizza things on the menu, but I figured I'd better start with the pie. Went for the chicken garlic, added onions, mushrooms, and spinach. I was surprised how fast the pizza came out of the kitchen. 10 minutes maybe. A weird crust (kind of crumbly and airy), reminiscent of GodFather's Pizza, but not so greasy. "Toppings" were in the middle, and a layer of what must have been industrial grade Parmesan sealed the pie. Problem was, the cheese on top was dry, adding little if any goodness to the eating of it. The veggies inside were largely uncooked, barely warmed, and the chicken was fairly large chunks of dry white meat. I washed down two small slices (out of 10 cut pie) with a beer, but still regret it the next day. The tummy just isn't too happy. I let them box up the left overs and took it home, but it all went in the garbage.

OK, I also have to weigh in on this place. Disgusting! The worst, most rubbery pizza I've had in my life, hands down. The salad was awful and my friend's rigatoni hadn't even had the water drained from it before they put the marinara sauce on it. Like Amanda K., I wanted to like it because it's close to my new home, but Chr*st Kingsgate people, your tastebuds are dead! I'll never go there again except to pick the salal berries that grow in front of it.

Love this place...we have had them cater lunches for our work a few times. Great!

Got the Pizza, brought it home. The bottom was a little soggy. Went back. The owner immediately offered to bake us a new pizza and even gave my girlfriend and I some complimentary beverages while we waited. The pizza turned out great! And you can't beat this kind of customer service.

UPDATE (2-star): After about a million recommendations, we finally decided to give Pizza Bank a second try. None of us ordered pizza, and we were all at least moderately satisfied. My meatball and mushroom grinder showed no sign of meatballs (just flat pieces of beef), but I can't complain about the mountain of cheese. G's tortellini was pretty tasty but could have used more cream. And, finally, S's baked manicotti made G and I jealous about everything but the lake of grease. All the portions were gigantic; I felt like I was back in the midwest. I suppose we'll go back because we live in the neighborhood... - - - ORIGINAL REVIEW (1-star): This place is terrible. My boyfriend and I moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and decided to try the Pizza Bank since it's our nearest pizza joint. We went on a Friday night and thought the line out the door and packed carpark were good signs. Wrong! We had to wait for quite a while for someone to take our drink order, then our food order, and then finally bring our food. My boyfriend had a salad...straight from the bag. My pizza was awful. The crust seemed to be the frozen, factory made variety. We characterized the food as what you get when you ask a 12 year old to make you dinner. To top off our disappointment, the bill was $30 - definitely not worth it. I want to like this place because it's local, but it was so bad that I'm not even willing to give it a second chance. Save your time, and order Jet City.

I have been going (and ordering out) here for years. Ray and his team have done a great job providing a friendly, clean and tasty dining experience. The Meatball Sandwich with meat sauce is always a good choice.

Pizza Bank is great. The people are super friendly and the food is delicious. Sometimes when we don't have time to sit and eat we just drive by and pick up our food to go. My wife sometimes just isn't happy without a Pizza Bank salad. That is some fantastic blue cheese dressing!

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time tonight. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated immediately. Our waiter, Eddie, was also very friendly and helpful with the questions we had about the menu. He was prompt with the beverages and salad (which was excellent with the feta dressing). He then brought our food, my boyfriend had the chicken pesto grinder (he loved it) and I had the rigatoni with marinara sauce (the sauce was not great but the garlic bread was awesome). Everything was fine until after we got our food. Once it came the waiter didn't come back to check on us until he brought our bill. Instead of tending to the patrons in the restaurant the entire staff was sitting at a table conversing with one another. I was pretty unphased by that until the waiter didn't ever come back to take our payment for about 10 minutes and only after my boyfriend decided to get up to see if he could get our waiters attention. I then recalled seeing that there were guests who had done that same thing as we were coming in. I'm certain those people and we were not the only guests who had an experience like that tonight. There were five workers sitting at that table not paying attention and no one at the front desk or waiting on tables. We were not thanked or even acknowledged on the way out. I want to come back to this restaurant to try other items on the menu, but if I have another experience like tonight it will be my last time.

I'm sorry - I can't say I agree with the other reviewers on this one. We live near the Pizza Bank and for the life of us cannot figure out what the fuss is all about!!! We were very excited to try this place out because its always so packed...we went in and ordered dinner for that night as well as a pizza to go for lunch the next day... We ordered Sausage grinders that were "extra chewy" with no taste... We also got a salad with a vinegarette - the salad was so oily I couldn't choke it down. The pizza was made with all of the toppings underneath the cheese - the cheesy top was burned to a crisp leaving behind only oil and grease on top of it to keep it moist. Maybe it was just a bad night for food when we went...but it was enough to stop us from going back ever again. I'll take Mia Roma in Kenmore any day of the week over this place!

This is a great 'americanized' italian joint. Probably the best restaurant in the Totem lake/Kingsgate area. The owners are very often there when we go. The lasagna is quite good. The menu is not super fancy but a good value. Comfortable. It can be busy (just goes to show you many people like this place) so get there a little early. When we were there a couple weeks ago we sat next to an older couple, must have been in their 80's, all dressed up for a romantic night out - very cute. Love this place - It makes me happy.

  • Jon S.

Great food at a very reasonable price. The service was very good and the atmosphere is comfortable and enjoyable. Our server took very good care of us and we had a Cesar salad (so large that 2 people can split one salad) and built our own pizza, which had fresh toppings and a great crust. We also saw other patrons ordering the Italian food which looked very good, even though they specialize in pizza (order off of the menu or build your own!). We will be going back to Pizza Bank the next time we are in the mood for great pizza and salads.

I'm sad I wasn't the first to review, but I have to agree with the rating. This place is great! I've gotten the pizza - good and the baked lasagna - great! Food always comes hot (there's nothing I hate more the lukewarm food), and the portions are huge for what you pay for.

I'm really surprised that I had never noticed or heard of this place. It's been there for almost 30 years! I love finding places like this that have been doing what they're doing for a long, long time, and still draw a big steady crowd across the generations. Pizza Bank definitely qualifies. And how did I find it? Friends who stumbled on it after spending years living 5 minutes away. It makes you wonder how business owners must feel sometimes about marketing, when it turns out that real potential regulars live right nearby and are just unaware of your presence. Interesting problem to think about solving, if you know any crafty marketing folks. Anyway. The staff here are super nice, super solicitous, very much in the habit of running a biggish, busy, successful business. You just get that vibe sometimes that tells you a place is well run, and concerned about the satisfaction of its customers. This place gives you that vibe for sure. You kind of feel like you're stepping on one of those motorized sidewalks when you come in; they're really on it. The dining room looks clean and nice, definitely a couple stars above fast food, but no money wasted on frills. Everything's in great repair and quite welcoming, but suitably modest. You don't feel like you're helping them pay off ritzy designers or lavish contractors in your pizza bill, that's for sure. And the pizza is what really counts here. It's a hearty, heavy pizza. I seem to attract that stuff...just followed an impulse to go to the Northlake last week. This is actually a pizza that you could say was inspired to a certain degree by their style. It's got a little crunch on the bottom, and a big chew for about half an inch before you get up to topping altitude. Not unlike focaccia, you might say, but closer to actual pizza crust. The toppings and cheese are pretty genius. Nicely concentrated across the mesa atop the crust, well conceived, well combined, explosively flavored. You can't wait to try some cold. And by that I mean you can't wait. You just eat it all, even though you know you shouldn't. So you lie there like a beached whale, wondering what you might be able to make for breakfast tomorrow, since you already ate it. Prices are pretty good. A medium out the door is about $18, and will feed two people who aren't bound and determined to pop the buttons on their jeans.

I love this place for its Pizza!!! I must admit when we moved to Kirkland, I almost didn't want to go in because it seemed small and a hole in the wall, but it always looked busy. Finally after a couple of recommendations from friends, I had to give it a try. I must admit I have eaten there about 8 times, and never tried anything else but the pizza, and I am an addict. It is delicious, and well worth the price.

Had the manicotti and it was mediocre, something just didn't taste right. They did have good service though, but even the garlic bread was more like dry toast.

  • L M.

On a trip to Seattle I went back there with a friend from Kirkland after three years. Salad no longer included so I didn't fall for the mistake I made the last time with Caesar salad. The problem was the food, which my friend admitted had gone downhill. My pasta was overcooked and absolutely swimming in sauce. It was like a cream soup with noodles. Her Italian grinder, which she was craving, was made with some kind of odd flavored deli beef and no melted cheese. Our service was better, but it didn't make up for the food.

    (1)
  • Kim M.

Very satisfied with them. I think they use good cheese which gives them a better starting point as a Italian restaurant - which main dish doesn't include cheese right;) Their cheese itself is very tasty with full of milk flavor. We ordered a house special pizza and chicken masala pasta. Both were good. Happy that we have these guys in my neighborhood.

1 star for our food experience.. but such amazing customer service, very impressed!! The pizza and salads we ordered to go left something to be desired for us and sadly made all 3 of us who ate it sick that night.. which was not fun, especially when you have a 3 week old at home. My husband contacted the manager the folllwing day and he did all he could to make it right... which was enough to make us think we may try this place again...once our tummies settle. *side note: if you are a white sauce fan know thay their cremy garlic sauce is in fact a red/white sauce mix :)

  • Zane H.

This place is a little too rugged and doesn't always attract the most pleasant clientele-- my experience was marred by loud xenophobic guests. The pizza here is fairly mediocre as well. I would not recommend this when there are better options available in the East Side.

    (3)
  • Michele M.

If I could, I would give this place a 3.5 stars. Since I can't, I will be nice and round up to 4 stars. I really enjoyed the food. The House Special pizza was loaded with lots of ingredients and it was baked to perfection. I loved loved loved the pesto and garlic pasta with chicken. It had a nice balance of cream, pesto and garlic. I will definitely order this again if/when I return. Our meal came with HUGE pieces of buttered toast, which went well with the pasta. The reason why this place couldn't get 5 stars is because 1. The A/C was on way too high, so we were all freezing cold and 2. The service was wayyyy too slow. They need to have more servers when it's busy because it took a very long time for us to put our order in, pay the bill and our food took a good 20-25 minutes to come out. Maybe next time I want to eat pizza bank food, I'll try ordering take out.

Amazing pizza!! Fast and friendly service. Totally worth getting in the car to pick up pizza! All the ingredients are so fresh, you can really taste the difference. This is definitely our new favorite pizza place :-)

Let me tell you this- pizza bank easily has some of the cheesiest, meatiest, most hearty pizza I've ever eaten. They have many options other than pizza though, for the more healthy or more "mature" people. One example is their salad- best salad ever. Second- their chicken Parmesan is also someone the best. You should eat here if you are in the area

I've been going to Pizza Bank since it opened, it is my hometown pizza place and it is the best. My family and friends make a point of stopping for pizza anytime we are in the neighborhood. Pizza, Lasagna, salad, garlic bread, all very good.

Absolutely delicious little gem of a place! Love the food, super filling and no small portions here! The servers are all young and sweet - very nostalgic of a high school job :) Love the food though, seriously the best pizza, salads, and breadsticks. Love the atmosphere and love supporting a local business like this! Only tiny negative is that the price is a little higher than the chain stores but the quality justifies it.

I've been coming to this restaurant since the 90's and it's a solid family Italian restaurant with good tasting (and large portioned) comfort food. That being said, don't go in expecting a foodie's Italian restaurant with intriguing new flavor combinations or gourmet preparation...this stuff is pretty standard American-Italian fare. Overall I would give them a 3.5 rating but will round up to a 4 star since I want to support them. The Good: The pizza's are all great, but constructed differently where the toppings are below the cheese which makes the cheese more browned on top. If I could improve the pizza though it would be to make the crust more chewy and flavorful. The Lasagna is good, but different! It's heavily browned with a crunchy cheese crust covering a molten mess of noodles, marinara, cheese and meat. Be careful on the first bite, every time I've ordered it, its come out piping hot and will burn you if you're not careful! Lastly, our family always orders a house salad with the creamy feta dressing. If they sold the dressing to take home we'd buy it! The Meh: I've only had 2 pasta's in my whole history with this restaurant: the Puttanesca and Fettuccine Alfredo. I felt that they were both on the bland side and the noodles were overcooked. I've never had outstandingly good or bad service here, I guess it's generally pleasant, but I've never been overly impressed. Go here if you're in the mood for your standard American-Italian comfort foods in large portions!

Whenever we have family in town, we make sure to take them to Pizza Bank! It seems especially popular with our male relatives and they even get jealous when we mention we're having some PB for dinner when they're not around!! Ha! When you first go to Pizza Bank, you must have the pizza! It's kind of like Pizza Hut style, only much, Much better! I find Pizza Hut to be rather salty, and PB is not. They don't go too heavy or too light on the sauce either. (I feel like Baby Bear... It is "just right." ;)) The meatballs are really good here and you can add items to your pizza too -- they do have some great House Specialty pizzas which have all seemed to be crowd pleasers for us. I've also tried a bunch of their other menu items and I really got addicted to the spaghetti with clams and garlic cream sauce for a while. It was SUPER tasty and they did not skimp at all with the clams. It seems recently, though, the dish has been under-seasoned and just not as good as it was the first few times I had it... so, I started to try some of their other dishes. I did not enjoy the baked pasta dish I tried even though they're supposed to be house favorites. Pizza Bank also has some really nice lunch deals on weekdays (they're not open for lunch on the weekends!): pasta, salad and some of their garlic bread for under $10 - not too shabby! They also have some good "grinders" and such too (you can order all day long): I've had the chicken pesto and they definitely do not skimp on the meat! Others with me have tried the sausage and pepper sandwich and enjoyed that too. This is definitely a nice little gem of a restaurant - I definitely recommend it!

So I ordered lunch for a company meeting and was blown away by the road house pizza. Easily the best pie I've had on the East side. The owner was also very attentive and clearly invested in making sure that I had a positive experience.

I gave this place a 2 star bc the food was OK..i think a new owner took over..the pizza is made differently than before, and it doesn't taste as good. But most importantly, the service was terrible, and the old grandma working there was very rude...if you hate your job then just quit..don't make the experience horrible for the customer. I don't want to see an old grumpy saggy woman mumbling s**t while I'm trying to enjoy my meal. She needs to serve people at a retirement home instead.

I've tried eating here about a dozen times over the last 10 years and the service is so horrible I won't go back. The only reason I keep trying is because the food is pretty good. I even tried take out but they screwed that up too. It's too bad because it's really convenient.

If you are looking for FRESH pizza, think long & hard ... they "pre-make" their crust ... if you order a pizza with white sauce on it, they do not tell you this when ordering, rather you are surprised when you get the pizza with Red sauce (and a little white sauce puddled in the middle) (red & white make pink - yuk!!!) ... at least Papa Murphy's makes everything FRESH ... for the price Pizza Bank is charging, the sauce on the crust should be freshly applied as ordered (not pre-applied & dried) ... I will NEVER go back ... ever! By the way, I have been coming here off and on for the last decade or so ... nothing really notable except the expensive price. Now that I live 2 blocks away, the price kept me away except on special occasions ... and I would just get the red sauce, since that is what my husband likes. We have even dined in, and then it was slow service and big chunky salad. Yeah, the grease is horrible. Leftover pizza just is NOT how it should be. I will drive to Pegasus Pizza in Kirkland on Rose Hill before ever going back ... or even Tony's next door is better than this place.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight. The salad, wine, pasta and service was wonderful. I recommend upgrading to the new strawberry spinach salad. They have made changes and it shows. We had a great time and will return soon. It was truly fantastic tonight. Kudos to the owner, who is a lovely person.

I was trying to figure out why this pizza tasted so familiar and I realized it's New England styled greek pizza! Having been in Boston for so long and eating this pizza reminds me of all those pizza houses back in New England. Good times. Tasty salads. The pizza undercrust could be more crisp. Delicious airy crisp cornicione. I was told they aren't so usually heavy handed with the cheese. But nonetheless worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood for this pizza style.

This is my 5th experience here. The first three times was 6-7 years ago and I remember them fondly! Recently moved back to the area and couldn't wait to order. First time we ordered the dough was virtually uncooked! Incredibly greasy as well. We LOVE pizza but My wife & daughter wouldn't even eat it. Thought maybe it was a fluke. Ordered one to go for lunch and it is identical - raw dough. Won't likely be coming back for a third try. Too bad, because we wanted to like this place.

Good food, terrible service. I ordered a salad and it came out way later than the cooked food and mind you I'm 8 months pregnant and starving. They didn't even apologize for how long it took. Then they took another 10 minutes just to box up our left overs. The food was really good so I recommend takeout.

I truly don't know how this place gets 4 and 5 stars from folks. Unless they've been eating Chef Boy Ardeeeee and frozen pizza rolls all their lives, then this would be a step up. I've lived in Kirkland nearly 20 years without eating here and I could go 20 more. Three of us had lunch here yesterday...2 of us had the Greek pasta and the other had the Chopped Salad and a cup of mushroom soup. The Greek pasta needed an oil change and the creamy feta dressing on our salads was beyond bland. Usually you can taste the brininess of feta, this was just white lumps of I dunno what. As for the pasta... I love garlic, I have to it's in my DNA, I'm half Sicilian...but this was like there was a vampire convention in town. The garlic was swimming in the oil and I think there was a fire sale on Kalamata olives too. If this is their idea of gourmet, it was def. gourmeh. The waitress was either high, drunk or a natural born ditz...she kept forgetting to bring things to the table...coffee, water, food, debit card (she lost it somewhere on the floor on the way back). Very lackadaisical about everything, seems she's been there since Hector was a pup. She also spilled water everywhere and took my friend's bundled silverware, took the napkin off and wiped the table...she never did bring her another napkin. My friends also ordered way over-priced Snoqualmie ice cream....no spoons. I don't like bashing establishments, however, I would like to save people from spending their hard earned money on slop along w/poor service....and maybe save your belly from discomfort down the road. BTW, that was a $40 lunch....that's pazzo! If you want pizza, pasta and grinders go to Romio's in Totem Lake, much better food and plenty of it. (Eggplant Parm sammie is huge and delicious.)

I paid $30 for their large Sicilian pizza (plus pepperoni). Not only was this more expensive than the gourmet pizza I usually buy, but it also wasn't very good. The pizza was too salty, a bit too greasy, and I even got a few pieces of tough vegetable skin (not sure from which vegetable). The bottom of the pizza dough got soggy within a very short time, and considering we literally live across the street, this shouldn't be the case. Other places in this price range don't have pizza that gets soggy at all. Safe to say I probably won't be going back, specially at 30$ for a sub-par pie. The smell inside the place wasn't very pleasant.

Really like the tortellini in garlic cream. Food's great, service is great. The garlic bread is a bit weird, buttery grease or something. Italian within walking distance.

Finally! A pizza!! My son and I came in and had a pizza for lunch. We split a Large Caesar Salad which was more than enough for the two of us and split a small pizza. Pizza was good, although there was something about the cheese we both agreed that it was one we tried when we had the pizza shop but didn't like as well as what we had been using. Sauce and toppings were adequate.

just took someone to lunch at Pizza Bank. Hadn't been there for a couple years and remembered what good food they had. That is no longer true. the lasagne was not good and it came with huge hunk of stale bread. Yuck... My pizza was not too bad but there are so many places that have great pizza around here. There is no reason to waste my money at Pizza Bank again.

It's called Pizza Bank because it was either a bank or savings & loan that got turned into a pizza / Italian restaurant. When you see the place, you'll say "Oh, yeah." This is my favorite pizza establishment in the Seattle metro area. It's Seattle, so they're more polite than friendly, in true Northwest form. Every trip to this place has been extremely satisfying. It is slightly better than Pegasus, which is also very good, but this is THE best in the area.

I've been going to pizza Bank since it opened. We've gone twice in the last two weeks and I have to say I might take a break and try someone new. The last two times the service has really gone down hill. No refills on coffee or tea or water. We had ordered a side of marinara and had to ask three times for it and it came when we we're pretty much done with our meal. Also I was bothered that two of the waitresses had long hair hanging down and not in a pony tail. The blond girl kept putting her hair behind her ear with her hands. I think they have new owners but these are basic things. Please get the hair up and hire some bussers if the wait staff is to busy.

We had the chicken parmesan, lasagna and baked spaghetti, all bad, all had the same sauce, greasy, too much sauce. Garlic bread soaked in butter so it is butter bread! Senior says no bueno :( Wont go back there ever.

Update: 2/24/13: I pulled my daughter's leftover pizza out of the fridge today. The grease had soaked through the waxed paper in the box, and through the bottom of the waxed box in a perfect shape of the remaining pizza. I microwaved a piece for 30 seconds, and it was extremely greasy and not very good at all. I could not taste the sauce, cheese, nor pepperoni due to the overwhelming taste of the grease. ------ The atmosphere was extremely noisy, despite them not being overly busy. The service was very slow. While we waited for 10 minutes to order, we watched 5 of the wait staff standing at the front desk chatting. I had great hopes for Pizza Bank when I saw the large veggies in the minestrone soup, but the veggies were raw and the soup had an odd peppery taste. The garlic bread was oversized and overly greasy. We had the caprese salad, and it was made with under-ripe tomatoes, cheap cow mozzarella, light olive oil, and cheap balsamic (not reduced). I expected the chicken cacciatore to take me back to my mothers cooking, but there was almost no chicken and the dish was overwhelmed by the barely cooked green peppers. I had asked for a meatball on the side, but they cut it up in pieces and mixed it in the dish. The meat, vegetables, and pasta was certainly not cooked in the "marinara." My wife had beef ravioli with meat sauce. The ravioli was made with the same meat as the meatballs - nothing great. The meat sauce was reminiscent of badly doctored ragu. Our daughter liked the pizza, but complained it was greasy.

Reserved for a party of 13 adults, 5 kids & 3 high chairs. The pizza was amazing & I have to go back for the pasta which is supposed to be even better! We live in Seattle & needed a good place to go after our Pump It Up birthday party, and it was perfect! Everyone in our group loved everything they had: specialty pizzas, cheese pizza, salad, wine, etc. Will definitely make a special trip to Kirkland from Magnolia to try more myself!

We could eat pizza every day, and this ranks highly on the list! Got the recommendation from a friend. I love how thick the pizza is, the crust is edible and not all dried out. It reminds me of Uno Chicago Pizzeria. We've only eaten in-house once and the server was very attentive, every other time has been pickup. The exterior of the place is deceiving! Go in, you won't regret it!

My husband is in love with Pizza Bank! We moved to the Kingsgate area and had never eaten here before but after so many people said how great it was we decided to give it a try. My husband is a pizza connoisseur and this is his absolute favorite place! His favorites are the double pepperoni and roadhouse. The crust is perfect, not too thin but not overly doughy and not incredibly greasy like others have said. I have eaten the gluten free pizza crusts from here and I have to say I enjoy them, not being able to eat gluten, I sometimes feel like I miss out on having a good pizza but Pizza Bank does a good job!

What a difference a crew makes. We have been eating PB on a regular basis for about 15 years. The place is usually fun, packed, noisy and friendly. Up until about a year ago we recognized most everyone, and they recognized us. There have been a number of changes in wait staff over the past months, but tonight when we went in, we didn't recognize the place. First, no parking problem....then there was no wait for a table. The menu has become more abbreviated. The hum was gone. People were quiet, maybe because the entire staff is new, so there was no exchange of conversation. And no communication between staff members. We got water, and then were brought water by a second person. A young man took our order, While we were waiting for our salads, two other servers came by to take our order. Our salads were prompt. We also ordered the clam antipasto. We finally flagged down our server about 5 minutes after our salads were finished and asked about our clams. He came back and said they were getting going, that they had to get them out of the freezer to do them. We cancelled the order due to time constraints. The server forgot to take the steamers off the bill, so it had to be redone. This is the first time we have been disappointed with PB, but what a huge disappointment. Poor service, no courteous apology for not letting us know there would be a wait for the clams, poor communication between workers, and total indifference that we cancelled part of our order. How I wish someone and stepped up from the get-go, and said, "you know, it's going to be about __minutes for the clams. Is that ok, or would you like to order something different?" And how about a check back from the "New" general manager after we cancelled the clams, so we knew he cared about us and our business.

I love this place for two reasons: Lasagna and baked spaghetti. Both are delicious and loaded with very good sauce and melted cheese. I order the baked spaghetti with meatballs. It's a lot of food and with a toasted piece of bread and soup or salad it's difficult to finish everything. I order the salad without olives as they tend to put too many on it. The soup is average. To be honest I'm not a fan of the pizza and I haven't had one in a long while so don't feel it fair to rate it. Pizza Bank is a above average neighborhood restaurant.

I've been eating here for many years, I figured its finally time to post a review. The service is always excellent. The pizza and pastas are outstanding. I've had a couple of slightly dodgy salads there over the years, but for the most part they are very solid as well. I probably would have given them 5 stars, but they recently removed the only 2 appetizers worth eating from their menu, so 4 it is. So if you're in the mood for Italian food and in the Kingsgate neighborhood, its hard to go too wrong here.

  • Camille C.

The food was meh, could've been better. It's always fairly busy whenever I go here. Their chicken parmesan was flavor-less but I ate it because I was hungry. Their pizzas are the reason I would come back, not bad pizza. That's for sure. The service was just okay, nothing really to rave about.

This place is really great. My boyfriend and I called late to get a pizza from here tonight. We were too late but the guy took our order anyway. The pizza was ready really fast and was very good. It had tons of toppings and was perfectly cooked. Four thumbs up. Thanks for taking our order late. :)

Don't believe the haters, Pizza Bank is amazing! I've been coming here since just after graduating high school, and the boys from HS and I still come back here at least once a month to have our customary meal of meatball grinders with meat sauce. I'd like to point out that these are not some kind of Subway meatballs like some previous reviewers may have expected--so don't expect little round balls of meat rolling around on your sandwich. These are quite large meatballs that are cooked and then thinly sliced and stacked on a little baguette, layered with cheese and mushrooms and cooked until addictingly delicious. The pizzas aren't really comparable to any other pizza joint in the area. The crust is a medium thickness, delightfully chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside. On most pizzas, all of the toppings are below the cheese, which is crispy on top and ooey gooey underneath. I recommend the Roadhouse or Italian Meat Combo if you've got a die-hard carnivore in the party, otherwise the House Special has a perfect meat-to-vegetable topping ratio. Rumor has it their baked pasta dishes are wonderful, but to be honest I'm so hooked on the pizzas and meatball grinders, I may never end up trying a pasta dish. The waitstaff provides pleasant and prompt service. Expect a queue for tables if you're visiting during dinner hours on weeknights, or pretty much any time before 9pm on a weekend. Because there are frequently so many occupied tables and people waiting, the restaurant can get quite loud, which is why I prefer to visit about an hour before closing, or just before the lunch rush, when the quiet ambiance and cheesy Dean Martin-y soundtrack piping over the stereo system can be enjoyed.

One of my husband's favorite restaurants. It's a great local family Italian place. My husband loves the pizzas - the shrimp louie salad is great so it the cacciatore is amazing. And we enjoy the caesar dinner salads and the garlic bread is sinfully yummy. Pizza Bank is a nice relaxing place to enjoy catching up at the end of the day over a glass of wine in a low key setting. It has be come one of family favorites.

Our family LOVES this place! It's worth the drive for us (from Mill Creek). I love their house salad. I have had the lasagna, ravioli and greek pasta and all were cooked and presented perfectly. My husband and kids have raved about the pizza and sandwiches. I also love that a good bottle of wine is affordable to share amongst a group of friends. Great service too! Can't say enough. There is a reason this place is always packed!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Pizza Bank. I didn't really know what to expect...I ordered the pesto and garlic penne with chicken - delicious! A little on the pricey side, but it was quite good. I guess it's difficult to mess that dish up though. The garlic toast is wonderful - mine was buttery with lots of garlic and well toasted. My boyfriend's toast unfortunately was not as well done and he was unimpressed by the baked lasagna. Our waiter, on the other hand was superb!! He never gave us his name, but he was always on top of things. Very quick to take away plates or trash. And he was quite observant on how we were doing and if we needed anything, as well as knowing when to come by for our order. My water glass was constantly filled (and I drink a lot of water). It was a very nice outing with yummy pasta and a casual vibe.

Ah, Pizza Bank ... how we have missed you. We no longer live in Seattle and have no solid replacement for PB in PHX and we made sure it was on the places to re-visit on this trip back. Glad to see that the food, and many of the servers HAVEN'T changed, when it's next to (almost) perfect, what is there to change? The pizza and the baked pasta were just like we remembered, and even the salad with the mozzerella just made us feel like we never left. Our server = 13 years at PB and saw the owner, said Hi and he was just as pleased to see us as 5+ years ago. Keep up the excellent work and if you think of opening a PHX location, I know plenty of hungry patrons to send your way!

I've only been here twice, and while it may not be an all-time favorite, Pizza Bank is a really fun place to go to. Any restaurant that will allow a huge group of about 30 drama high school students to scream and laugh for hours at 11 at night while other customers are present is a great place in my opinion. The cheese pizza is fantastic. It's really flavorful and great. Really nice place for groups or just family time.

Not really impressed. Ordered a pizza to go. They must put the pizza in the box immediately after pulling it from the oven and close the lid. I got home (5 minute drive) and the pizza was extremely soggy from all the steam in the box.

I feel my original opinion was right on the money, for that particular meal. I have dined in a few times since then. Top notch service always get 5 stars. As busy as it gets on a Friday evening they got you covered. My experience is the food has not been consistent. The meatball grinder and meat sauce tonight was very bland. My wife had the meat gyro, same meat as the ball grinder and no flavor. Meat sauce was also very blah. My wife said the tzatziki bland too. My 3 year old son enjoyed his mac n cheese along with my cheese and olive salad with lettuce garnish. You guys have the service down if you back it with consistently good food you'll have something special. Overall disappointed the last 3 visits, great service only gets you so far and we may be done.

Great, unique Italian type food with big portions. The garlic bread is amazing. The pizza has a medium thickness with a ton of ingredients and flavor. Each one is covered with a beautifully baked cheese. Just awesome. In my epic quest to find the perfect pizza, I've never found another place remotely like it, they are truly unique. Try the "old number 29" with fresh sliced tomatoes on top. I sub the Canadian bacon for pepperoni based on recommendation.

Yummy food and sharp looking interior at this italian place. Kid friendly. Lots of loyal regulars from Kingsgate/ Kirkland area. Pizza and pastas are all quite good and wait staff do a great job as well. You can sit a larger group in the "vault" room- this building was really a bank once after all.

So, the other night we went in and ordered Chicken Parmesan for the first time. Now it will be difficult to order anything else ... and I like the other stuff. There is a reason the regulars are finding it difficult to get their usual table, this place is good.

Been coming here with my coworkers for lunch for quite a few years. Every time, I get sick an hour later. Just thought it was me, unyil we took another coworker a few times and now he refuses to go back because he gets sick every time too. Took my boyfriend once and he got sick. I have tried almost everything on the menu and still get sick every time. I am thinking it's the lunch side salad? The salad is really watery and sometimes its pretty brown and wilted. I think after 4 years I have given them enough of a chance. Sorry, but I am tired of spending the afternoon in the bathroom at work after eating here.

The Kingsgate neighborhood of Kirkland doesn't have a lot of culinary options. There's the not-as-good as the other place Chinese restaurant, there's Safeway, a few teriyaki joints, one really good pho place - and then there's Pizza Bank. Rumor has it, the building used to house a bank - but was converted into a pizza house, hence the name. While the name of the place may not be particularly original or inspired, the food a different story. Last night I ordered a large roadhouse. The pie was big enough to feed a large adult male, and his two teenage sons with 2 slices left over. The sauce has a nice rich garlicky flavor, but for me the winner was the pepperoni - they layer it on top and leave it in the oven a little longer than usual. The end result was a pizza that has crispy pepperonis on top, which reminded me something of thin sliced crispy bacon. Delicious!

Took the family here for dinner on a Tuesday night last week and it was pretty much as I expected. I have been driving by this place for many years and not thinking anything off it. They have decent pizza and italian/American style food. If you are looking for authentic Italian styled food, go elsewhere. If you are looking for the old time Italian food you used to get growing up, then this is the place for you! The kids loved the pizza and the cheesey bread. Service was a little slow at times, but nothing I would complain about. The place was about half full. I hear it's very popular on weekends and there can be a wait. My wife and I had Chicken marsala and I had chicken Parmesan. Both were definitely in the American style of Italian food. Tasty but like nothing you would ever see in Italy. Large portions and we all took leftovers home. Wine selection is mediocre but the wines we got were decent. Only a handful of beers on tap but that's OK too. Prices are decent considering how much food you get. Decor looks pretty nice and looks recently updated. Definitely go back there again some time!

Ate here last night with the fam. The service was attentive and friendly. We ordered a large pizza, baked spaghetti, and the chicken parm. Portions are big for the price and the food was ok overall. Like most the reviews say, the garlic bread is soaked in butter making it a bit unpleasant to eat so we didnt. The same red sauce was used for all the dishes, which I didnt mind, except that it seemed old and burnt. The salads were big but the caesar dressing didnt taste much like caesar or anything at all. The pizza was easily the best dish. Lots of toppings and cheese with good flavor. To sum things up, it is your typical greasy, home-style Italian restaurant. Cant say I will be back any time soon but if someone were to buy it for me, I would indulge. :)

I have been told for several years about Pizza Bank in the Kingsgate neighborhood of Kirkland. How they have great deep dish pizzas and it is a nice family run joint. So, today we went and gave it a try. First off, I love pizza. 24/7/365 would be fine by me. I like both deep dish and thin crust as long as it has cheese and sauce I like it. We ordered the Large Old Number 29, which has Canadian Bacon, Shrooms, Italian Sausage, Olives and Motz. It was definitely a large pie. Hot, crispy and loaded down with toppings. It could have used an additional scoop of sauce (took away 1/2 a star for the sauce), but it was good. Now I know why people have been talking up the Pizza Bank. They have been around since 1983, which is a long time in pizza years! The large was enough to feed 3 of us and bring home a couple slices. In addition to Pizza they have many other Specialties of the House. I saw a couple of their Pasta dishes go by and the looked fantastic and enough to share; Lasagna, Baked Spaghetti, Pasta Greek Style, Clam Sauce, Shrimp Diablo and of course Chicken Parm. Give Pizza Bank a try for Lunch or Dinner. You will get full, enjoy yourself and you should have some leftovers! If it had more sauce it would have gotten 4 stars. I think it is very comparable to Sparta's in Bothell & Lynnwood.

You will not find a better pizza place. I highly highly recommend the Athenian. I have been in there and have not seen it on the menu and have not seen it on their website but it is the best. They make their own sausage for the Athenian! Delicious! I have tried a few of their other pizzas but the Athenian has the right balance of sauce, meat, cheese and veggies.

I ordered a meatball sub and the meatballs where froze on the inside but warm on the outside...no thanks! And the kids menu had chicken and rice- what was served was bland boiled chicken with wild rice- my son said he could not like it...smart kid!!

Was in the mood for some deep dish pizza and was told this place is great! So my bf and I went there and was ready to feast! We shared the side order of the Italian chop salad, an order of the cheese bread with marinara sauce and a medium Old Number 29 with artichoke hearts added to it. The salad was superb! The dressing was perfectly balanced and the ingredients were portioned wonderfully. The cheese bread was good and the marinara was spiced great! Although the bread could have used some garlic, that would have made all the difference. Then came the pizza, and boy was I disappointed. It was not a deep dish pizza, only meerly a high crusted pizza with a healthy helping of toppings. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious. It just wasn't what I was expecting when you say "deep-dish pizza". So that was the disappointment. I would go there again because the pizza was really tasty, but if I want a deep dish pizza, this is not where I will go.

Ask anyone that's ever lived in the area, and they will tell you about why Pizza Bank is a favorite spot for everyone. The owner Ray, runs a tight ship, the employees are very good at all aspects. Some of the longtime employees (like Tony) will take an entire table of 8 peoples orders and remember every detail. They check in just often enough to not distract from a family and friends gathering and are speedy with anything that's asked. I really appreciate not only how operationally excellent the front end is, but that you see the kitchen is clean and efficient is well. This is clearly reflected in the food quality and attention to detail. Walking into Pizza Bank begins to be a family tradition, especially if you have a big enough party and are able to eat in the vault. The owner is always there which just goes to show you why being hands on, sets you apart from almost any other competitor. Inspect what you expect. Great place, great food, all brought together by a great staff. - Steve

My husband and I ran across this delightful resturant while taking my dogs to the vet two doors down. After a vet visit we decided to try it out and now 6 years later it is still one of our most favorite places to go. The salads they bring with your meal have a nice feta dressing and plenty of cheese and olives! The pizza, grinders, gyros and baked spagetti are all the best I have ever had. The only disclaimer is the parking sucks during peak times, they don't have a really large seating area so waiting for a booth is a norm. Slow to medium service should be expected but all in all is well worth your time once the food arrives.

Love this place, haven't been in since i lived there in 2002, I'll be back to get the baked lasagna and pizza again for sure. Update, I went here recently in August! Everything's still the same except I remembered it being a little better before. Lol it's still good though and I will continue to patronize this spot more often when Im in town. Try it!

I am only rating on the pizza. My My roommate brings home the stuffed Hawaiin pizza a couple times a month. It is very delicious. Perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The toppings are just right in quantity and quality. The Pizza Bank is a great choice.

This is our go-to pizza restaurant. The service is great (they are starting to remember us by name!). If there is a wait for a table they offer to get us something to drink. They area always very friendly and helpful. We've tried their pasta dishes, which are good, but we keep going back to their pizza. Specifically the Hawaiian pizza which is the best Hawaiian around here! We also like to get it with cheese bread. Yum! The environment is casual and seems great for couples, families, friends etc. You should tri it!

Pizza Bank is literally that, a Pizza/Italian restaurant located in a building that used to be a bank. When you go to a family restaurant, you should be prepared to dine in a room full of families. If the sound of noisy kids ruins your appetite, you should select your dining destinations appropriately. This is one of the most kid-friendly restaurants I've ever been to. I've gone with friends who have kids and seen the disaster left in their wake. Everyone who works here just brushes it off like it's no big deal. They are less bothered by it that I am! Amazing. Lunch is the deal of the century. Ginormous portions, including soup or salad, for not much dough (pun intended). Seriously, you can get spaghetti and a salad for something like 7 bucks. Unheard of bargain. My three favorites for lunch: 1) Baked lasagna with salad, blue cheese dressing, add olives to the salad for an extra 50 cents, total = $8 + t&t 2) Sliced Meatball and mushroom grinder, add a side of marinara for dipping for an extra 99 cents, total = $7.50 + t&t 3) Pita Pizza (literally, a pizza made with pita as the crust), pepperoni + mushroom, salad w/ creamy feta dressing, add olives, total = $6.50 + t&t I always leave with leftovers no matter what I order. Dinner, you can go crazy on. Especially if you like pizza. This isn't your usual thin-crust pizza with the toppings over cheese. It's not deep-dish, either. It's somewhere in between and strikes a nice balance of the two. Cheese is over the toppings, unless you get my personal favorite, the Roadhouse. That one they add the cheese on top of everything and THEN layer on the pepperoni on top so it'll get crispy. *swoon* One of the few places I know of that offers "family style" takeout portions. Massive serving dishes of lasagna, fettuccini alfredo, spaghetti, etc, come with an entire loaf of buttered garlic french bread and a huge container of salad or soup. Reportedly enough to serve 10-12, and that's 10-12 BIG appetites. Very casual atmosphere. They can get really busy so expect a wait at peak times. Lunch is $, dinner more like $$. But either way, you are gonna have leftovers.

First time at Pizza Bank and it was a good experience. We went in the middle of the day so it was pretty empty which was great and made for fast and attentive service. Looks like they just remodeled and the place has nice decor, not fancy but clean and casual. Italian music playing in the background was a nice touch. The food is great, moderately priced but a good value given their large portions. The salad was fresh and came with a huge piece of garlic bread which was perfectly baked. I ordered an Italian soda which was pretty large to my surprise. We tried the Roadhouse pizza and it was great (note as others have said, it's not deep dish) with cheese baked over the top and crispy pepperoni making it unique. Will definitely be going back to try their other dishes.

For those times when all you want is a good salad ... Pizza Bank! For those moments when life has dumped on you and you just want to enjoy a home cooked meal, but you don't want to cook ... Pizza Bank! We thoroughly enjoy their food. We eat there at least once a week. Lunch is best, the servers are wonderful and one gal never has to ask us if we need anything, she brings it! It's not as busy at 11:30 am and just after 1:30 pm, then it picks up around 5:30 pm. Even their spumoni ice cream is excellent. There is nothing on the menu I haven't tried (except the Macaroni and Cheese, which I wouldn't order out for any time).

This place is a little too rugged and doesn't always attract the most pleasant clientele-- my experience was marred by loud xenophobic guests. The pizza here is fairly mediocre as well. I would not recommend this when there are better options available in the East Side.

It's too bad because it's really convenient.

just took someone to lunch at Pizza Bank.

The food was meh, could've been better. It's always fairly busy whenever I go here. Their chicken parmesan was flavor-less but I ate it because I was hungry. Their pizzas are the reason I would come back, not bad pizza. That's for sure. The service was just okay, nothing really to rave about.

This place is really great. My boyfriend and I called late to get a pizza from here tonight. We were too late but the guy took our order anyway. The pizza was ready really fast and was very good. It had tons of toppings and was perfectly cooked. Four thumbs up. Thanks for taking our order late. :)

I've been here twice. Once I got a Gyro and it was pretty dry. Nothing great. I've also had the pasta, which was also all right. The garlic bread is HUGE. Friendly staff.

Had a veggie pizza the other day. It was probably one of the better veggie pizza's I have had. Fresh cold sliced tomatoes on top. Good family restaurant.

LOVE their Greek pasta, my total favorite. I wish they didn't charge extra for chicken in it, so I usually go vegetarian. Pizza is yummy as well, gotta love all the cheesy goodness!

Yummy! The cheese is so good. On the pizza! But on the sub sandwiches, it is like eating a pizza sandwich! we have never had a bad meal and have been going there for 10 years. The baked spaghetti is my favorite :)

  • Lisa R.

  • Matt S.

So, the other night we went in and ordered Chicken Parmesan for the first time. Now it will be difficult to order anything else ... and I like the other stuff. There is a reason the regulars are finding it difficult to get their usual table, this place is good.

Got the Pizza, brought it home. The bottom was a little soggy. Went back. The owner immediately offered to bake us a new pizza and even gave my girlfriend and I some complimentary beverages while we waited. The pizza turned out great! And you can't beat this kind of customer service.

I'm sad I wasn't the first to review, but I have to agree with the rating. This place is great! I've gotten the pizza - good and the baked lasagna - great! Food always comes hot (there's nothing I hate more the lukewarm food), and the portions are huge for what you pay for.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
