The Rock Wood Fired Kitchen Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

After reading the various reviews regarding this establishment, I was hesitant to come here. I am happy to report our party of three had a enjoyable experience at Kennewick's Rock Wood Fire Kitchen. They had plenty of wait staff available to service the customers. We were seated near the wood fire pizza oven. The ambiance was cool. I also checked out the bar area and discovered it was a large area where you could also dine. There was one more larger dining area. Patio dining was also available. We experienced good service and kitchen efficiency. We decided to share three different 9" pizzas (Bad to the Bone, Satisfaction, and Iron Man) ..... each one was different and delicious. I think these pizzas were better than Richland's Stick & Stone Neapolitan Wood Fired Pizzeria. Prices were reasonable ($11.00 - $12.50) for each pizza. Craft Beer ~$5.50 /pint. We will be back

Good food. Terrible service. Really all I have to say. Won't be back. Waitress forgot to put our order in. Then after 20 mins the manager came by and offered a salad while we wait. Finally got the food. Once we finished eating, waited another 25 minutes before we could get a to go box and a check. Never got our drinks refilled, never got checked on.

We tried this for the first time today! Natalee, our server was excellent. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. Did the core is to me, much better than a Hard Rock Cafe. Music oriented, and has a lot of references to the old rock and roll bands. They also have some really neat drink specials, very unusual and unique. We love our microbrews, and they have a nice selection of those as well. The brewskies actually aren't all that expensive either. Even though it is on the other side of town from us, we plan on returning often. Highly recommended

We have been to this restaurant a few times and have had a good experience each time. The atmosphere is really cool and the food is good. The staff is really nice and our server Page was really nice.

My friends told me they had been once, it was bad, they thought maybe it was an off day so she tried it again, it was much worse the second time. I wish I would have listened. The host, a little curly haired blonde, was delightful. Then, my server completely forgot about me waiting to order (and admitted it). Meanwhile, off duty bartenders and servers are discussing tables they've had walk out on them this week. As I'm thinking about the same thing. I order a water with lemon no ice. Comes with no lemon and plenty of ice. The pizza was terrible. Tastes just like cardboard. Then, it took forever to get me cashed out. Bad food, bad service, bad combination. For me it's a no go, and I've worked extensively in the restaurant business, so it's always a bummer to see, and I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. I hope this place improves.

I'm usually not too excited about franchise-type restaurants, but since I was traveling and had never heard of this place, we decided to give it a try.Rock and roll themed, so of course there was good music playing. Didn't get the pizza, but saw that they were ginormous and they were being ravenously consumed by those who did order them. My margarita was meh, but the entrees were delicious. Service was excellent. Can't remember her name, but she's originally from Albuquerque. Not too loud, but definitely not a fine dining place. Lots of big screen TVs if you're into that. Prices were average to above average. Nice place - I'd go back.

Two stars for the pizza and the bucket. it was good. Removal of three stars for the following: - Strike 1: Stood at front of restaurant on a marginally busy weekend afternoon waiting acknowledgement from someone, anyone. Workers passed by, looked at us, kept going. Waited, waited. Just as we were about to go elsewhere, someone greeted us. - Strike 2: Decided to eat in bar. Two booths available. Sat at first booth, the table rocked. Not in a good way. It literally see-sawed with the force of a small boat in a hurricane. The server approaches as we were moving to the second booth. "Oh, you don't want to sit here?" No, my husband responds, this table is terrible -- demonstrating the rocking. "Oh, I noticed that last night.......," she says. As she starts looking for matchbooks, whatever, to stick under the errant leg. Really? Did you not call it to someone's attention? Strike 3: Plates, silverware appeared dirty. Pass on this again.

Everyone in my party enjoyed their food reasonably well. However, there was a few things that ruined our experience. First, our service was terrible. Our waitress was rude, and she disappeared for long periods of time. My friend ordered an $11 margarita and got it 20 minutes later after we asked another waitress. The drink was not worth the wait or the price. Also, only one room was opened up despite it being a busy night, and the bar was full. We were packed into a noisy room, and there were a TON of kids around. It pretty much killed the atmosphere. I'd love to come back if the waitresses were more attentive and I wasn't packed in with a bunch of kids.

We were lucky enough to attend The Rock's training day (not open to the public) on Friday. This location looks fantastic..and is bigger than the other locations around the Portland area. There is a small bar area upstairs that is designated "21 and over", a bar on the main floor...and tons of all ages seating. We shared a bucket (original...think rum punch) and they never disappoint. They have several of their own beers in tap, and a full bar. We started with a red pepper hummus plate, served w cucumbers & feta, and flatbread. Very good. We then sampled a couple of The Rock's pizzas. Thin crust, good toppings...hell yeah, that's good pizza! Oh wait, where have I heard that? You've got a good one here, Kennewick. Get there before the lines form!

Service was lame and food less than mediocre. My friend ordered a side salad and had to tell the waiter twice then she had to go into the restaurant (we were sitting outside) to track him down. It was finally served way after the main course. We won't be going back. Too many other options.

Went here for lunch. The server screwed up our order and my husband did not get his food. She said it would be right out. 35 minutes later we were still waiting and everyone else was done eating. We finally asked for it to go because we had to leave, it took her another 10 minutes to box it up, then when she brought the check, she charged us for it! On top of this, she refilled our soda with water, service was very poor all around. Will not go back.

While in Hillsboro, Oregon, for work, I ate at The Rock there at The Streets mall and it was great. I took my family to The Rock in Kennewick expecting the same experience. Boy, was I wrong! I had two friends warn me that The Rock in Kennewick was not good, but after my experience at the Hillsboro location, I still wanted to go. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was about 2/3 full. We ordered a gluten free cheese pizza (my daughter has celiac), a salad, a kids cheeseburger, and a Hawaiian pizza. My "clean" plate for my pizza had grease on it, I ran my finger through it and it rubbed off on my finger. The silverware had dried food on them, and my wife's salad had dried food on the plate. After they fixed all of these issues, my son (who isn't picky at all) said his burger tastes funny, it was burnt. My daughter's pizza smelled funny. It smelled like plastic or cleaner. I stopped my daughter from eating it. My wife talked to the manager just to let him know how disappointing our experience was and he was defensive. He and the waitress both said that all of the problems we had were out of their control. That put the final nail in the coffin of us never coming back. I don't think the employees at this location take any pride in this restaurant. Which is too bad because the Hillsboro location is so good that I know the Kennewick could be too.

great food for the price!!!!! 4 stars for the FOOD ONLY. Reasons: 1. nice crisp crust 2. no overbearing cheese or toppings. Well balanced. one of the best pizza places in the area. The Service was horrible. 0 stars Reasons: 1. Rude waitress, constantly rolled her eyes at our requests. 2. half way through meal tosses check on table. We were not even close to being done. We were still going to order drinks. 3. server was having a bad day a brought it to work. 4. bad services 5. very, very bad service. I will recommend the food here, you wont be disappointed, however just as I and others have stated you have been warned about the bad service here. My wife and I will give it another try, if we get the same lousy service we will never be back and I will change my 3 stars to a 1 star.

None of us enjoyed our pizzas. The combos are a little strange, with ingredients that don't go well together. Also, mine was way too salty. Only ordered take out, so can't speak to the dining experience.

This is always a fun place to eat. And always busy! Great pizza! I have the meaty beefy big bouncy, often with anchovies (they were out this visit). And washed it down with a Sledgehammer IPA. We took my niece and nephew and their two kids. The kids menu was a nit; a cheese sandwich is always enjoyed. The kids also split a Sunday and loved it.

I don't know if I've been to a place with such horrible customer service. Pizza was ok and the bucket was good. We walk in and stand at the podium waiting for somebody to greet us. Employees walked by ignoring us as they looked at sheets of paper and walked off. Nobody said they would be right with me or gave me any eye contact. So we get acknowledged and we ask if we could sit in the bar and she replies with "oh good, that's easier for me" and pointed us around the corner or upstairs. We decide to go upstairs and as we're looking at the menu we notice it's happy hour and we knew we had about 10 minutes left. So our waitress comes over and we ask if happy hour is still available and she says "umm, I'm not sure?" but instead of going to look at the time she said "oh wait no not anymore" I wasn't going to argue over a cheap beer so we told her we'd need a minute to look over the menu. she didn't come back for about 15 minutes and there was me and my husband and one other couple in the bar. She finally comes over takes our order and returns with our drink. We didn't get any water so my husband askes for a cup and I decline. She says she will be right back with it and never came. She walked by our table and at one point my husband tried to wave her down as she walked past him and she ignored him. We THEN see her go to the stairs railing where a male coworker was standing and we see them laughing and joking back and forth. We never even placed our dinner order yet. I was fed up and wanted to pay for our drink and get the hell out of there. My husband and I take our drink to the bar downstairs and order with them. Customer service down there was mediocre. Just a horrible experience and I will never return and I will definitely warn my friends, family,co workers, and yelp to be cautious going to this establishment.

I like the Rock! I used to go to the one in Bothell WA and now living in BFE I miss this style of restaurant. I was in Kennewick for a few hours today and grabbed lunch at the Rock. I went in around 1 PM and it wasn't busy at all, was seated and eating in 2 minutes. I had the Pizza and Pasta buffet. They have thin crust pizza with several toppings cheese, peperoni, sausage, bacon and lot's of other good stuff. Also two lasagna dishes, tomato bisque soup and some salsa type side salads that were good. You get of choice of a green salad or Cesar, I had the Cesar and it is decent size salad with dressing and croutons. The service was good and I was checked on regularly. It's a cool funky place in and out with a classic rock theme, lot's of brick, wood and old rusty roof tin. Very cool and well done. The music is great, The Doors Led Zeppelin and much more. I paid my $11 bill and as leaving "Free Bird " came on and followed me out the door on the outside speakers. I turned for a look back and thought what a cool place to have lunch.

I want to like this place more, but with mediocre food and service the last couple of times, I am downgrading their rating. I'll go back for a bucket, but there isn't much else to write home about.

We went for dinner. They were not very busy but the wait was still about 45 min. We were called and asked if we wanted to sit at a table for four, but they could make it fit five as that was what was in our party! We denied their request as there was no way we would fit there. So we waited! Shortly after we got our table, we waited about 10 min and the server came. She took our drink orders. We then had to wait another 10 or so min. to get some glasses of water. Here's were the review starts. I ordered a soup and salad dinner. As I had strep and did not feel well. The meal is not that bad on price, but it is on it's dinner meal portions. I get my side salad and it was good size. Nothing to write home to mom about but it was worth half the cost. Now our dinner part, the soap. She put the soup down, and as she walked away everyone at the table looked at this tiny cup of soup that is suppose to be a dinner portion. My mother in law made the comment of "they don't want to make you too full"! I just laughed, this thing was tiny. So to say the least, once again another great restaurant in the great Tri-Cities that is going to shits due to lack of service and bad food! For a town that is based on its restaurants, I think we have some of the worst...

This place is quickly declining in quality of food and customer service. I really wanted to like this place but honestly, it sucks. Cold food. Over cooked food. Bland tasting food. Not good.

A Friday night visit, very busy. Sat at bar Bloody Mary came with no garnish? Got a table in 30 min. Good job. As busy as they were our food came of hot! Some of the portions lack consistency. The taste was very good, although the the cole slaw was tasteless. The service needs to be fine tuned. I will try again on a slower day to see if it makes a difference

Sooooo The Rock...after the 1 hour and 45 minute wait...the pizza is good...the best I ever had no. The wings are good but not any different than wing stop....the beer was tasty...Maria Blizzard said her margarita was the best she ever had. I needed a nap after eating there....grease and carb overload lol. But yeah for TC if give it 3 1/2 stars. Still wish some restaurants with healthy options would come to town. Next time I'll go for drinks. The apps are too fattening and unhealthy for me. Service was good, remember they are new and packed. Of course there is a wait.

Ordered nachos and pizza. First, they took apparently were confused by our order so the waitress had to apologize for the really long wait. When we finally did get our food my daughter had asked for no onions on the nachos, and it was covered in red onions. I go to send it back, takes forever. I ask to get it to go, the waitress says she doesn't know because they might have plated it already. When I ask to cancel the order, she gets it to go. And, the food wasn't good. The nachos were made with cheap nacho cheese sauce. The pizza was not good either.

Food was fine but overpriced. Customer service was terrible. Aside from one of their employees nearly hitting me with the door on my way in, our waitress bumped my husband's shoulder with her tray, spilling a drink on me and my purse. She was quick to apologize and get it cleaned up. However, the manager made no appearance, therefore no additional effort was made to make up for the mistake and the fact that my leather bag and I smelled like hard cider. (Thank goodness it wasn't a beer!) In contrast, I had a similar experience at Tomato Street in Spokane a while back. There, the manager appeared instantly, comped my meal, gave me a free entree for my next visit, and asked me to bring in my dry cleaning receipt so they could cover the cleaning bill! I still seek out opportunities to eat at Tomato Street, mostly due to that experience. I'll only hit up The Rock again if friends are already there.

Well they've been open for a year now and I've got to say they've really got their act together. still the best pizza in town by far, along with a lot of new options to enjoy! New managers Tiffany D. and Brian M. really rock, they're really trying to improve at every turn. If they keep getting better at this rate I probably won't ever eat anywhere else! love the rock in Kennewick.

This place is so horrible. A wanna be Hard Rock Cafe. We ordered 2 burgers, pizza, chicken strips and pulled pork sandwich. The burgers came so burnt it was all u could taste even dipping them in ketchup or ranch. While we were waiting for are replacement burgers I tried the pizza. They might want to do something different with there pizza because it was so soggy. I was told the chicken strips tasted like they went to wal mart and grabbed a bag of Tyson frozen chicken strips. The pulled pork sandwich was decent but they couldn't bring the right fries with it. I give this place one star because I can't give it zero or a negative rating.

Wasn't impressed first time around was hoping they would have the same service as west side rock pizzas.. But i gve them a secons chance after a few months, and was pleasantly surprised. Menu was better and salad bar went by bye. I am a glad the rock is in tricities!

This is a good place to bring the family. Staff is friendly, food is okay to good and the bar tenders have heavy hands. The only bad part is they are very skimpy with the servings. Our burgers only came with a small handful of fries. Disappointing because fries are cheap and a filler. I'm posting a pic of our plates just after the server gave them to us. I'll be back but hopefully they get a little more generous on the fries and other fillers.

AmAzING PIZZA. Best in town. And the Atmosphere is very cool. Love the RockNRoll! Service and drinks are very good as well. All in All a Great Place to Dine and have a good time. The upstairs bar patio is the place to be!

Awesome pizza but horrible service! We came for lunch and were seated in the dining area, we were there for about ten minutes with no sign of a server in sight. We moved to the lounge hoping that would be better but almost the same situation only there where three servers I made eye contact with but where busier talking to each other. When one finally made it over she was nice and food was great but this is the third time I've been here and each time the service gets a little worse. And to top it off the server after taking our card for payment stopped at two tables and sat down to chat with it in her hand, which I'm sure was innocent enough but alarming none the less. We definitely won't be returning any time soon, even though the pizza is delicious.

The decor is little to be desired, seems to be trying a little too hard with the whole rocker theme. The manager on duty while we were there was super nice but needs to lay off the cigarettes. The pizza is decent. The drinks are fun, the staff is ok. The night we were in our waiter was training a girl and he seemed a little overwhelmed. I ordered a drink and I didn't get it until the end of our meal. He said he would comp. it for us... Well then the manager came and said he'd comp. our appetizer because they were out of one thing we had ordered and our food came out at different times . So I was under the impression my drink and appetizer was being taken off. However, when we got our bill just the appetizer( the cheapest thing we ordered )! was taken off. We were ready to leave so I didn't say anything ( normally I would ) . Decent pizza. Best thing on menu is sweet potato fries. The service needs some work

    (3)
  • Shannon H.

Probably won't be back. Service was a little slow but not terrible. My burger was overdone, dry and EXTREMELY salty. And it only came with like 10 fries. Pizza was also a salty disappointment.

    (2)
  • Eileen W.

Meh. Double meh. A lot of effort was put into the decor, which is very fun. However, 3 out of 7 at our table sent out a search party to find the fabled "flavor" that had gone Walkabout. Or maybe it just didn't show up in the first place. Stood us up.

Went for lunch and had the buffet. $10 for buffet pizza, some soups, pasta dishes, like lasagna and chicken Alfredo. Comes with a beverage and for a $1 more you can upgrade to a beer. We were there early and had no issues with getting service and we didn't have to wait- they do crank the 70's and 80's rock music. I think it was a Tuesday. Pizza was ok, house crafted microbrew was ok, asked for a Caesar with no croutons- it came with croutons- we didn't try any menu items, there was a line when we left. Waitstaff hired for looks, not competence.

So we were stopping through on our way to Oregon from Montana. We ordered food rather efficiently. The restaurant was a mess, spider webs on the lamp fixtures, dust and food all under the booths. When we received our food we thought it was pretty good until my Mom bit into her pizza. It was completely black on the bottom. I ordered blacken tuna but not blackened pizza! When the manager stopped by we asked him if this was normal since we had never been to one before. He said yes actually it is burnt corn meal! Gross!!! Well he finally admitted that the entire burnt bottom was unacceptable and he would make us another. We declined since we needed to get back on the road. We have 4 more hours to our home. He left after we declined the remaking of our pizza. We got the server to get our check and low and behold there were 2 pizzas on the check. We told the server that we had expressed our concern her apologized and said one was taken off. At that time the manager brought another pizza to us. My mother said she didn't want it And hold to be charged, he said he was trying to make it right. But we can't eat a pizza on the ride back home! He finally took both charges for the pizza off , begrudgingly. I will not return to this location. A pizza that burnt should never make it to the table!

Came here with a baseball team. They repeatedly lost my order and it took over an hour and 30 minutes to get a BLT, which I didn't get until I was walking out the door. Worst service I've ever received. Not recommended if you actually want food.

  • Aaron J.

I've been twice and I honestly have no intentions of ever returning. The first time I went it took forever to get seated and to even get our drinks. The waitress couldn't remember who ordered what. We did the buffet at lunch and it was less than impressive. I ordered the brown sugar breadsticks which was a huge mistake. They are inedible. Whomever thought putting brown sugar on top of garlic breadsticks needs to have his head examined because they were disgusting. When people recommend The Rock I always try to steer them some other direction.

Back again. This time late night with some friends on a Tuesday till they closed. The other 3 in our group got trashed. And we had Brady as our server/bartender and again he did a great job. He worked the bar by himself but did a good job. The drinks were good atmosphere was good and my friends let loose. The only complaint would be the chicken and fry plate I ordered. The chicken just really wasn't good. Greasy with a weird flavor. Thankfully everyone at the table had been drinking, so it wasn't a big deal.

This place seems like it has gotten a lot of low reviews for service. I can't speak to that, we usually get stuff to-go since we live close and have a baby that likes to make a lot of noise in public. I would give this place a 5-star for quality. I like the pizza a lot (we get the gluten-free crusts because of allergies), and the salads are tasty, albeit too heavily dressed for my preference. I haven't had anything from here that I don't like. They got a 4-star review from me because of price. I think it's overpriced for the value. To get gluten-free crusts it's $3 more per pizza, and they're only 9" pies. We've been eating gluten-free for 7 years now and have never seen that high of an up-charge for that size of crust. But, we still pay it because it's convenient and tastes good!

Oh yelp, you were so right about this place. We were hesitant to try it based on the two and a half stars. But went anyways at 3 o'clock on a Sunday because we had heard it was so busy. We figured we would come in at an off time and hopefully not have the poor service others had. We were wrong. We ate at the bar in order to not wait. Our food took 45 minutes including 20 minutes for the appetizer. First of all, the atmosphere is very cool. Unfortunately, the food is not up to par. We got the chicken fingers as an appetizer. They were overcooked and dry. The sweet chilli sauce they came with was good. I got "the founders" pizza. It was mediocre. The big problem is it was COLD. My husband got a burger. He asked for it medium rare and it was well done. It was dry, the bacon was burnt, and the bun was way too big. I don't think if his was warm it would have been any better though. $45 for an appetizer and 2 entrees. Needless to say we won't be back.

My first visit to this new pizza place. We went on a Saturday, late afternoon - before the dinner crowd. After being asked if we wanted to be seated in the bar to watch the game or in the dining area, we were immediately seated. Noise level was not too bad for a pizza place. We could carry on a conversation easily. And since the section we were in was pretty full, I don't think it would be a lot louder if the place was packed. The interior decorations were very interesting. Our server came promptly and explained the menu to us as first-timers (it really didn't need explanation). We got a "Rita Bucket" and ordered a 16" pizza - one of the meatier, spicier varieties. Our drink and water came within a few minutes, and the pizza took about 20 minutes. Not tot bad on timing. The pizza arrived hot and was set on a server table next to our booth and our server plated our first piece on REAL plates - no plastic or paper stuff. And CLOTH napkins! We both thought the pizza was very good. The drink seemed a little water down at first, but I think it had an adequate amount of tequila in it. Rather than ask for a box for the last two pieces, we managed to eat the whole thing in one sitting and left stuffed! We both felt the prices for both the food and pizza were fair. Much better than what we experienced at another new rock fired pizza place. We felt we got our money's worth. When we departed at about 5:45, there was a crowd of about 30 in the lobby and out the door, waiting to be seated. It didn't seem like the restaurant was filled to capacity, but we didn't see very much of it. Since this is a relatively new place and people are still going there out of curiosity, I would suggest going either an hour before or after the normal dinner hour if you want to minimize your wait time.

Not very impressed. Showed up at 7:00 to make a reservation for a table. Hostess was friendly and said it would be an hour wait. Ok no problem we will go get a bottle of wine across the street and wait it out. At 8:15 we had not received our text message saying out table was ready. Ok no problem we will wait in the bar and order a beer at 8:20 and we got a free appetizer for our extended wait time. Cool. Well at 9:15 we finally got our beer and a text saying our table was ready. But no appetizer. We decided that based on close friends experiences here that we wouldn't see food or drinks for another 2 hours after ordering and the staff wasn't very efficient. So we left. And as we walked out half the restaurant was empty. Seriously guys? I really doubt half the restaurant left at the same time. What a waste of my time Worst opening ever. We won't be back. I might try lunch takeout just to taste the food but the service was crap. Everyone looked like they had no idea what their job was and the layout of the restaurant was miserable. The music was cranked too. Come here if you want to pick up a date for the evening. Not to have a meal.

A disaster on Saturday night. Maybe one day, our food will arrive. I may update this review if the food is fantastic, but since the people sitting beside us have been waiting for their check for two hours, I think I might just order from dominos and have it delivered here. This place is severely understaffed. Check back in a month, if they are still in business.

It was incredibly slow service, 3 and a half hours from the time we were seated. The staff is still in training mode, as they did not seem prepared.(dirty silverware, dirty plates, unknowledgeable server) Food was worthy of 3 stars. It was pretty tasty. (very comparable to Casa Mia style Pizza) Pasta and appetizers were pretty good too. Especially the brown sugar bread! Drinks were expensive, but as to be expected. The waitress apologized over and over for the poor service. But other than an apology, it did not feel like we were taken care of. The table next to ours, joked to us about the poor, slow service as well. Hey, its opening month, maybe it just needs a little time to get off the ground running. But if you want to check it out now, and have 3 hours and a lot of money to spend, then this place is for you!

I had been to the one in Lynwood and the food was fine. Beer was good and the beach bucket of rum was awesome. A few things though. This place is obnoxious. Sorry. "Theme" restaurants annoy me and I just try to stay away. The design of the outside and inside reminds me of Bret Michaels, Steven Tyler and Guy Fieri all having an abomination of an idea that turned into a resturant. Not only did it feel like the whole place was a safe haven for people who wear Ed Hardy shirts, I felt like it was filled with guys who say bro every other word, wears an all over print shirt, a flat brim hat and thinks it's cool that black smoke comes out of his diesel truck when he speeds off. I didn't eat at the Kennewick location, just had a beer. It was fine.

Cassondra rocks. We have had her as a server a few times and she makes our dinner experience so much better then when we don't have her. Thank you Cassondra! You are excellent at what you do! (the dinner isn't half bad either!)

So we were told 30 minute wait and it took 1 hr for 4 people to be seated, when we could see booths open from our waiting area. After an hour it has now been another hour and we are still waiting for our two pizzas. We ordered hummus pita appetizer which took 20 minutes to arrive, came with hardly any pita for the hummus, asked for more pita and waited another 15 minutes for for that. Still don't have our pizzas and going on an hour and a half. Also glasses were dry for about 20 minutes. Really stupid how long it's taking for two pizzas. I know it's the first week, but don't open your doors if you aren't ready to serve your customers in a timely fashion. The sun is going down and we still don't have our pizza.

I really wanted to like this place. We didn't wait long which was nice. Our server was friendly and fast, no complaint there for sure. However our plates weren't clean, 2 of them had caked-on food on them. Pizzas were good, kids didn't complain. My steak salad was strange, it came with 5 lettuce leaves, 6 strips of steaks, 4 cherry tomatoes, some fried onions and blue cheese crumbles. I just don't get that, how can you call that a salad? I was really disappointed with my salad which was suppose to be my main course. I'm sorry to say I won't be returning.

Like what in the actual f@$k! The first time we came here was on a Tuesday night. We sat at the bar and ordered a bucket and 2 pizzas. The bartender was great, food came out fast and tasted great. But.... :( We came here again tonight and boy oh boy, I will NEVER be back. Talk about sloooooow! Took a good hour and a half for the pizzas to get on our table. I wouldn't if really cared if the wait was worth it but in true fashion, one of the pizzas was not cooked. Like cheese not melted, doughy not cooked. Sent it back and asked the server to just throw it in the oven. No bigs. Got it about 15 minutes later and AGAIN not cooked. Ugh! FML. I could've sworn they just microwaved it cause it was warm on top, still doughy. LMAO. I was .9 seconds away from going all office space on the pizza. I just asked the waitress to take it off the bill. She asked if I wanted something else and I just laughed. So I can be here another hour?!? No thanks girlie. And she didn't even send a manager to talk to us, nothing. UH HELLO!! As someone who works in the service industry (bartender) I'm pretty sure that would be the response to an unhappy guest/customer. Pizza sucks, service sucks (not so much FOH but BOH for sure) drinks are good atleast. Never again!! Only come here if your on a liquid diet as the bartenders and drinks are great! But to eat, I'd Rather go to Bobs across the street when I'm visiting my family.

It's The Rock, how could I not give it 5 stars. Yes we had to wait but as usual it was worth it. As with any new opening Brad has had the place is crazy busy for a few months. Cheesy bread and Sweet chili wings are my "go to".

We loved it great service and AWESOME food... we had Chipotle wings appetizer, the Bad to the bone pizza and Don't fear the reaper bucket... definitely worth the 45 min wait. The price was good too will definitely be returning!!! Thank you Miranda for great service ;)

Toward the end of our meal, I'd been thinking I was going to give The Rock 4, perhaps even 5 stars, but then the service rapidly declined to the point of nonexistence. We finally had to asked our waitress, for the third time, for boxes for our pizzas and then tried to give her our credit card at the same time, which she refused to take "until you okay the bill", which, I suppose, is a fine policy, but after wanting to leave for the past 20 minutes, the thought of waiting another 5 minutes, or however long it would take, just for her to bring the bill over and take it right back again, was too much and thus the 3 stars. We come in about 12:30 on a Saturday, and had assumed we'd have to wait a bit for a table, but there were quite a few options of seats. The nice hostess informed us she'd just seated a large family in the main dining area, so, if we'd like something a little more quiet, there was seating upstairs in the lounge. We sat at a booth by the window and were promptly greet by the bartender/waitress who walked us through menu, as it was our first time eating there. She helped my friend select a beer, which she really ended up liking, one of their own, I think, and then let us peruse the menu for just long enough. We both opted for personal pizzas. We wait about 15 minutes for our pizzas, just long enough to start to think "I'm getting pretty hungry", when they were delivered to our table. We both asked for glasses of water, which were also promptly brought to us. The pizzas were good, nothing outstanding. I'd ordered the Don't Stop Rockin, which had a combination of pepperoni, pineapple and cheese and there was literally one piece of pineapple per slice. I thought that was odd, but it was still a good pizza. Not too dough, fair amount of cheese, little burn spots from the wood fire (which i really don't mind at all), was all pretty good. My friend got the Revolution, which she liked, but didn't care for the giant hunks of garlic, she thought they'd be little pieces or something, but looked like they'd put a couple cloves on just the one personal size pizza. Also, my friend was asked twice, before 'the disappearance', if she'd like another beer, which she declined, but I was never once asked if I'd like a refill on my soda. Our waitress stopped by about the time we were getting full and my friend asked if we could both get boxes. And then we waited.... and waited... and waited... Now, when we came upstairs there was only one other guy in the lounge area, and while we were there, two couples, plus two tables outside had came up there, but she had help from another waitress and the man that had delivered our pizzas, so she wasn't taking care of everyone on her own, she just wasn't taking care of us anymore, i guess. When she did finally give us the boxes, she didn't apologize for forgetting or the delay or anything, which, really, was all I was looking for, instead, so asked us if we'd decided on dessert. What? Forgotten about and confused with another table, uh oh. I made sure to look over the bill before I signed for it. Overall I would recommend The Rock, just make sure you don't have any time constraints.

Love the Lynnwood Rock....but this one, meh. We consistently have poor service. Tonight our wings were delivered to our table by the manager quickly, but without plates. Our dinner showed up about 20 minutes later and it was cold (so was the table's next to us). So not sure if they don't staff appropriately, or if they just don't have appropriate staff. Anyways, it's obvious something isn't working because the place was pretty empty.

I would on a normal day rate them at a five. Tonight my husband called to make reservations for seven and was told they don't take reservations. We got here and would not give us two tables together due to it being reserved. Another lady told us they only take so many reservations a night. So which is it?! Get a straight answer to your customers. We have family visiting and are now at two booths. Guess what is still available?! Ridiculous! One unhappy group.

I have been here several times because the pizza is delicious. I have sat in both bars and the restaurant area, all of which have been at different times of the day (weekend and weekdays). The service has been extremely slow every time. Even if I am sitting in the bar area. After ordering I have waited for food for at least an hour. I've also waited for a drink for 30 minutes. The wait times at this place are too long. Bottom line: If you are in a rush... This isn't the place to go. If you have time and want to sit and wait, they have good pizza.

We decided to try this place. We were not disappointed. Someone put a bunch of money into the design and decor of this place. Made to look like a rock & roll garage, like a concert could start at any time. I didn't get to try a giant adult beverage in a bucket, but I plan to next time. The nachos were great. I loved the sauce on the pizza. Staff was friendly. We will be back!

I've been to lots of different ROCK pizza restaurants across the NW. This is probably the coolist building in Tri-Cities. Music is my flavor also. I went on opening day early. Pizza was good. As chains go I can not complain. Crazy Train is my favorite. I have been here about five times and have always received timely service. The microbrews they consider their own are not to good. The drinks are just stupid. Just serve me a good drink, keep the gimmick sand pale and knock two bucks off my drink. I can go to the circus for that stuff.

Tri-cities..... Y'all must have radiated taste buds. I understand the wait, new place so everyone is excited to try it. I tried the sampler of beers, it was a step above tap water. I'm not even exaggerating. All my toppings fell off of my pizza and had no flavor. Try the restaurant Fire or esternos if you want good wood fired pizza.Maybe I will try the burgers. The atmosphere was the best thing going for them.

  • Michael D.

Bring a sleeping bag for the cold, and a tent for the wait. Pizza was good, beer OK, drinks good, but the space-time continuum must be bent by very large gravitational forces at this point on the earth, because I swear time slowed down while we were in here.

It's just okay. After waiting for a half hourish we got our table. Place is packed, and loud. It's alright for families, as that was the vast majority of who was there when we went. In our wait time I took the opportunity to watch the wood fired oven. The guy I watched didn't seem to have a clue. The ambience/ decor is pretty cool. Lots of brick, heavy timber and rusted tin. All strategically "distressed". The building is actually quite large. Service is pretty decent and friendly even though it appears staff is run ragged. I have my suspicions about this being why the quality suffers. Beer selection is okay. The regulars and most of he Dogfish line up. Either I'm loosing my mind or I seem to be getting screwed on my beers lately. I asked for a 22oz IPA. It came in a big glass which appeared to be a true pint (aka 16oz). I can see where this might be a way for a place to makes some money if their "pints" are actually a 12 oz glass (a LOT of places do this BTW). I could be wrong, but I've had Imperial pints before, and this just seemed kind of small. We order a large pizza, and onion rings. Rings come late with a event BBQ sauce and ranch. Not too shabby. Nothing to write home about. Pizza... Hmmmm ... Crust is sort of done. Cheese is not quite melted. Veggie toppings are still raw. It's almost as if the oven wasn't hot enough or they took it out too soon. In my experience with wood fired pizza, it's all been a little scorched on the bottom (in spots). All the brick oven places I've ever seen are meticulous about the temperatures being just right (aka rather high). The actual cooking of the pizza involves moving it around and frequently checking it. I'm afraid that The Rock is so darn busy, that they can't keep up, or they aren't watching their oven/food as closely as they should. It's the only reason I can think of as to why our pizza was only half cooked. The toppings are fresh and alright. The cheese was.. Well.. half melted but tasted okay. Crust was tasty. Sauce was just okay, nothing great. The whole package reminded my of Hubbies Pizza in Kennewick. Which was okay, but nothing amazing. Just seems a shame that this place us nothing more than just another family pizza parlor. Maybe it will get better. I don't know. I might give it a second chance. On a side note, we reheated our pizza at home in the oven. It was MUCH better when it had an opportunity to completely cook.

The food was pretty good after messing it up once or twice. The service was slow and inattentive at times. Don't understand the theme. The most shocking thing is that they have buckets of liqueur mixed with energy drinks, which if you have knowledge of, is very very dangerous and has caused deaths nation wide when consumed un responsibly. In some states this is illegal. I would go back because the pizza (if they get it right) is quite good!

Stopped in and no one was at the front desk. A waiter looked at us, but never approached. Finally a receptionist appeared and took our cell number and said it would be 20 minutes or so. We waited in the bar. The bar waiter was helpful, but their house Margareta was weak and watery. 45 minutes later we finally went out to check on our table, it was ready (we actually saw the table was open when we arrived!). The music was loud and echoed. The waitress was having to yell so we could hear us. Two of our group ordered taco plates. The tacos arrived about 20 minutes later. The 2 pizzas for the rest arrived about 20 minutes after that - cold,..and I mean right down to room temperature. I tasted a slice and it was room temperature and very bland. All totaled, we collectively ate less than one slice of pizza. We left two unbeaten pizzas there. I can honestly say I would never have expected such a poor experience from this chain. I have been to other of their restaurants and they are ok, if a little too loud. The bottom line - stay away from this place - until they replace their staff. We left and went to the McDonalds about a mile north. The food there was much better and I hate McDonalds! Avoid this place

Hey, I've lived in the Tri-Cities for 40 years. I've learned that you have to wait months for the novelty to wear off and find a parking place. Today was rainy and a Saturday at 1:00 and we saw parking spaces. Walked inside and the hostess was nowhere to be found for a good 5 minutes! Oh well, from then on the service was good. Like some of the other reviews we noticed the dining room was pretty cold. Whatever, we had coats. I ordered clam chowder to start. Mediocre at best. Couldn't put my finger on why. Maybe too much garlic, no bacon, not really lily white. Ordered Founder's 12 inch pizza. Served on what appeared to be a cookie pan alongside table. I liked the Italian sausage and ricotta cheese. Really good tasting. Persuaded to try an ice cream and cookie dessert for $7. Waitress politely kept us informed that the wait was because they burned the first cookie. We actually appreciated the notice. The cookie/ice cream concoction was about as mediocre as the chowder. We will try again, as the hamburgers at next table looked fantastic.

Went for my birthday and was told it would be an hour wait for a table of eight which was more than fine.... Until it was an hour and a half later and they told us they could maybe give us two booths back to back....but the breaking point while we were waiting was that a couple came to the front and asked why they were seated if they wouldn't be helped for over another hour. I had a much better birthday experience at fujiyama and am glad I didn't waste my time at a place that after two months can't figure out their seating structure.

Went on a Wednesday night 5:45 ish... Waited 30 seconds to get a table... Waited 5 mins to get drinks ordered and got them in another 5... Ordered and waited about 30 mins... Waitress was nice and she came back to check on us but then after giving us our bill she disappeared... Food was good... Mozz bread with brown sugar was different as an appetizer but threw my taste buds off for my chicken wrap which was tasty but the tortilla was hard... Nice atmosphere :)

    (3)
  • Chad M.

The atmosphere rocks. The chicken strips with sweet chili sauce as an appetizer rocks. The rest is a horrible mix of rap and country. The food took over 45 minutes to come out and it wasn't busy. My steak was cold, red and purple on the inside, burnt on the outside. Steak fries with cheese and sour cream were burnt and very dry (but at least hot unlike the rest of our food), also the sour cream was missing. My wife had a BLT and the bacon was cold and burnt. This place has so much potential. Hope they figure things out.

Worst dining experience ever...and I NEVER complain at restaurants. 20 minutes to get seated in an empty restaurant. Waited 45 minutes for our food. Mine arrived ice cold and my kids' pizza was very burnt. Then the waitress disappeared only to resurface 30 minutes later. I asked to talk to a manger and she told me he said he was too busy to speak with me. Our bill came to $40.31 and I left $41. I will never, ever go back. She couldn't care less that our food was cold and inedible.

Beyond slow services!!!! Buddy and I, sat in the bar took about 25 mins just to clean the table from the previous party. Once the table was cleaned they took our orders and took another 50 mins to cook one hamburger and buddies pizza came out 10 mins after my food was dropped off. I had to ask for napkins & silverware, and got a whole 1 napkin never got a chance to ask for more since the waitress only came back to give checks.

Food was good. Wait time for food and the fact that 80% of our party needed to be present to be seated was ridiculous.

Our service was absolutely terrible. There was no manager on duty, so the staff said. It took an hour for chips and and an hour and twenty minutes for our pizzas to come to our table. Probably won't come back.

  • Andrea W.

Food was OK, not a lot of meatless options. I could have been more impressed with menu options. Drink service was slow, but I was with a large group on a weekend so that may have been a part of it. Our waitress was great, friendly and helpful.

  • Erin W.

I've been there twice now. The 1st time, I ordered the shrimp scampi. It LOOKED good, but it was flavorless. I expected it to taste somewhat like Olive Garden alfredo sauce, but the sauce was entirely bland. I took most of it home and reheated it with some garlic powder and that helped it a lot. The second time we went, my husband ordered a burger, which he said was great, and my daughter and I had pizza. I am appalled at the terrible quality of the pizza at this place! The crust is so flavorless and TOUGH! I had to cut my daughter's pizza into edible bites for her, because the crust is so thin and floppy you can't pick a slice up to eat it, but at the same time as it's floppy, it's so rubbery and tough to cut! I used the serrated steak knife they sent out with my husband's burger and I had to saw and saw like it was shoe leather. But the crowning shame of Rock's pizza was the sauce...I kid you not, they opened a can of tomato paste or sauce, and that was their sauce. No seasoning or flavor whatsoever. Blech. If I ever go back, I will avoid the pizza for sure. However, on a positive note, The staff was friendly and the service was good, and we had no wait at lunch time both times. Also, the decor is fun (if a little contrived) and of course, the classic rock music atmosphere is great.

We had a party of 7 come in after dinner time (around 9:00pm). After everyone arrived and got our drink orders, we ordered food. Normally it takes a lot to get to me, but it took nearly 1 hour for the kitchen to get all our food out. We had ordered nachos, a side of soup and pizza that came out after 35 minutes and pasta and a burger that took an hour to get to our table. On top of which, the kitchen staff did not bother to strain the pasta very well after cooking it because when I looked at my pasta and noticed it was sitting on a bed of water (which I tasted to confirm), I was NOT HAPPY. I sent it back. The waitress (bless her heart, she was so nice), took it away but came back and said that the cook said the pasta is cooked with a butter/margarine sauce, which I knew it was not. What put me over the top is that there was only maybe 2 or 3 other tables in our section that was occupied and didn't seem like it was a full house whatsoever so I don't understand how it could've taken an hour to make all our food. So either management needs to get their shit together and not understaff the kitchen staff or they need new management to shake things up. Until then, you've lost my business and I will be telling everyone I know of my experience.

Jim, General Manager handled a situation completely wrong. A hostess of his took a reservation for a party of 15 few days prior... surprise party at that...GM comes to front and says sorry whoever told you that was wrong we cannot take your party we don't accept reservations...first come first serve so you have to wait 60min for a table! Thats the best he could come up with for a solution...in addition he had sections still closed on a Saturday! His hostess who sees all this takes it upon herself to fix the situation...name latiesha...thank you Latieshia!!! Stay tuned on service still sitting in the lobby waiting.
