My wife and I enjoyed our lunch at Kennewick's Taqueria El Sazon. There are four flat screen TV's listing the menu options with entrée photos located near the front counter of the restaurant. Ordering and payment is done at the counter. Self-serve soda's and salsa station also located near the front counter. Delicious entrees are delivered from the kitchen served on porcelain plates with stainless steel utensils. Servings are very large compared to Chipotle, Qdoba & Costa Vida. The entrée prices are comparable which makes Taqueria El Sazon a better value. The eating area is open, fairly spacious and clean with large tile floors, perimeter table-booths and free-standing tables & chairs in the central dining location. We witnessed a large customer base of seasoned happy customers. We will be back.

When the Kennewick location I thought it was amazing. Seems some of the items have changed how they are prepared a little. The tacos are pretty dang good but I have stopped getting the burritos and stick to La Posada for that. They have a little chip and salsa bar that is nice. Overall just ok.

Can I give this place more than five stars?! Please? My only regret about this restaurant is getting hooked and being that it is so far away from where I live... It saddens me. We were in Kennewick for a tournament and a local resident recommended this restaurant to us. It was so close to our hotel and we heard the area had delicious Mexican food. If there is one thing about me that everyone knows, it's that I LOVE Mexican food. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. The first thing you notice is the electronic menu board.. Okay, they have everything. My bf got the carne asada which was like... $10? You don't ever find carne asada for that cheap.. I ordered their pork dish with beans and rice... And as my bf tells me, in order to really get a true telling about a Mexican restaurant, you have to try their tacos. We ordered 3 carne asada tacos, and 3 chichiron tacos. They have a salsa bar with chips and all sorts of goodness. The food was aaaammmaaaazzziiinnnggg. The best, most authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten, and trust me... I've had a lot in my days. The staff is SO friendly and the place is very clean. I used their bathroom (which you have to exit the restaurant and walk a few feet away to) and it was one of the cleanest restaurant's bathrooms I have ever used. My bf and I ate enough to not eat the rest of the day for $30ish including tip! So cheap for such quality, satisfying food. I'm trying to find a reason to go out there again just so we can eat here! If you live in the area, or are visiting.. This is a must try!

I've been here a handful of times and to date most visits have been good. The breakfast burritos are the best I've had in Tri Cities and are reminiscent of the ones I grew up on in California, albeit not quite as huge. The sauce bar is pretty good too. However be aware that you might not get what you order, it will be close, but no cigar. I ordered a taco salad, as shown on the menu in a fried shell, to go. Others got their food and came and went but still I waited, 20 minutes (or more later) my Togo order finally came up. We grabbed our food and headed back to work to have lunch. I sit down and open my to go box and find a green salad topped with chicken, pineapple, tomato slices and a slice of white bread. So in short, always check your to go box and be very clear of what you are ordering. I will stick to the breakfast burritos.

This establishment is located in a former burger joint. To date, a GIANT hamburger is part of the street-side decor. I wonder if they will replace it with a giant taco. The menu is in constant motion on an electronic reader board. One does not need to be literate in American English to order. Meals are served to your table, where you proudly display your plastic order number. This is convenient. The chips and salsas are complimentary. The small condiments bar offers a nice selection of condiments, including whole jalapenos (yay!). Very friendly but LOUD, with the obligatory, Mexican accordion cha-cha music blaring throughout. No escaping it. Pobre Mexican BORDER FOOD only.

Salsa bar and .79 cent taco happy hour. Tacos are decent. That's all I have to say about that.

I've only been once (so far) but I had to write a review. The atmosphere is.. well, grey-hound bus station-ish (cleaner though) . But the food makes up for that. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food is way off the chart for "fast" Mexican food. They have "All you can eat Menudo" for 6.99. SHUT up! They have a ton of choices in meats *Asada (Steak) *Adobada (Spicy Pork) *Carnitas (Marinated Pork) *Birria (Shredded Beef) *Pollo (Chicken) *Cabeza *Lengua *Buche *Tripa *Campechano (tripa, buche, carnitas) They also have "happy hour "tacos from 2-5PM 59 cents each. I had a couple of mulita and some rice and beans. I tried the marinated pork and the asada. Great flavors, nothing was buried in cheese. I will definitely go back and try other things.

I have eaten here 5 or 6 times. Sometimes it's great sometimes it's ok. The prices are good. My favorite is the breakfast burrito. I would most likely have given four stars but it seems like the workers are never smiling and the service is always slow. Which is normal for most restaurants now days so I downgraded them to an average 3 stars. Will definitely continue to eat here, but it's not a "gotta try this place" kinda place.

I've been coming here at least once every week or every other week. I don't usually go out for mexican food but I have always loved Torta sandwiches. And theirs is amazing. I love the Hawaiian Torta with Avocado (sucks that they made it so its $2 more for avocado) I did wish their Chili Rellleno was better...a lot better. Never EVER get their Chili Relleno if you like the traditional fried version. Theirs is very odd and almost gross (to the point of I am more willing to throw it away even though I HATE wasting food) Usually Chili Relleno is a type of chili stuffed with cheese and deep fried. Theirs was chili stuffed with cheese (only good part) then covered with some sort of batter and sauce. The batter was the worst part. It tasted, looked and felt like uncooked batter. It was like they were going to fry it but then forgot. Not worth the $4 each. They still get 4 stars because their Tortas are amazing and their tacos is also pretty good

Couldn't find a taco wagon opened on a Saturday so we opted here and ended up pleasantly satisfied. Lots of local culture.

I was not impressed with their tacos or their drinks. The tortillas were dry and the meat was very bland. The horchata was super sweet for me as well as the Jaimaca and i have a sweet tooth. The reaso n i gave three stars is because the soup i had was very delicious. I had the caldo de res and it was very delicous. The broth was flavorable with the bone in beef and the veggies with a side of flour tortillas which were soft. It was good. The salsa bar was very good too and being able to choose from lots of salsas, toppings was awesome. I want to try their other soups but I will definately not be back for the tacos.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
