Tampico Mexican Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I'm not a huge mexican food fan. Namely because onions hate me but a friend of mine urged me to try this place out and I wasn't disappointed. I had to order out as I was at work so I don't have experience with the restaurants full customer service but the person who took my order was very polite and pleasant. My order was exactly as I had requested and the portions are huge! The prices aren't the most reasonable in town but like I said they don't skimp on the portions, you could easily get two meals out of much of the menu. I'd love to go back and eat in to check out more of the menu and get a better take on how this place handles itself.

OMG....best Mexican food EVER!!!!!! I love this restaurant. The food is great and the employees are both fast and very friendly.

Pretty standard Mexican fare, but good, reasonably priced, and the nicest folks ever running the place. The toilet in the women's room never flushes enough paper, so be warned :)

Stopped by with a friend and once again they did not disappoint. They are very friendly and fast. So, if you are in a hurry and want some good Mexican food I would still recommend trying this place. I keep ordering the side order of chimichanga because it's enough for me. My friend had their special - a burrito, rice, beans for $8.95. It filled him up and he's a big guy. My son usually gets the taco salad. Lots of regulars at this place.

...continuing our hard work researching all the Mexican joints in Everett... We avoided this place for a long time, mostly because of the location - right on Broadway and right next to a shady looking hotel. But one day we bit the bullet and decided to visit. What a surprise! It was warm and friendly and inviting inside - the clientele was very family oriented and friendly looking- just a bunch nice Everett folks out for dinner. we got to sit by the fireplace which was really nice. Dinner was good, I had the pumpkin enchiladas, which I probably wouldn't order again, because it just wasn't my preference. But, it was very flavorful and the portions were generous. Boyfriend had a combination and thought it was good too. I'd definitely go back.

The best salsa I've had in years and very attentive service even with our large group and separate checks. A regular size enchilada was perfect for dinner. I might go large the next time so I can have lunch the next day. My drink was just strong enough to notice. I really hate it when Mexican restaurants serve margaritas that taste and act like kid's punch. I'll definitely be back, but won't make the mistake of parking in the adjoining parking lot. It's nearly impossible to get out of! Find street parking and walk.

This is the best Mexican food in Everett! They make very delicious and very strong drinks. The meal is prepared quickly and arrives looking very fresh and tasting great. The staff is very nice and attentive. The salsa is very hot. I usually get a chicken enchillada, I challenge someone to be able to finish more than one of their drinks. SUPER strong. I highly recommend this restaurant.. just ignore that its next to a crack motel.

They have the 'best margaritas in town' label for a reason. I love this place. The macho burrito can feed you for a week and even the heaviest drinker needs a limit on the margaritas. You get the most bang for your buck here.

Tampico's has great drinks and great service! Don't let the location fool you. The food is good, what you would find at most Mexican restaurants. The drinks are very strong.

I have eaten here a few times and I enjoy the food. It is your typical Mexican restaurant. The last time we ate here though my girlfriend got really sick for the rest of the day. So she obviously will not return to this place. Which is ok because like I said nothing special about this place, we just go to different Mexican restaurants now.

My husband and I are always driving by this place and it seems so packed we finally decided to check it out. I will say that the service was fast and friendly had cute little water cups for my kids. Bonus. The chips and salsa were good. I ordered a chimi with green chilli and I wasnt impressed with the meat. It tasted like canned roast beef. But the portions were big and the rice and beans were super yummy. I would go again but try something different.

I'm a fan!! good quality food. good quality drinks :) the staff is friendly, more than friendly, har har har, since I am a woman, they like to flirt. Never had anything bad here...yummers, yummers, yummers and they have no problem telling you they have a/c and to come cool off. We did. Margarita w/a punch anyone??

I've tried eating here twice and both times the results were the same: extremely greasy (moreso than your average Mexican restaurant), bland food. Margaritas seemed to be nothing you couldn't do with bottom shelf tequila and Mr. and Mrs. T's Margarita mix. Service was average on both occasions that I ate here. However last night I witnessed an employee taking the garbage out to the alley (I live near the restaurant) and witnessed him throw out the trash and then pee on the dumpster. Did he wash his hands after this? Who knows? If he's unwilling to use the bathroom that's located *inside* the restaurant, why assume handwashing occurs? The employee was definitely a kitchen employee (as opposed to a busser), he was wearing cook's clothes. I had already written off this restaurant but hadn't taken the time to write a review here. However after what I witnessed last night, I thought yelpers would appreciate knowing what apparently is acceptable behavior of employees of this restaurant. Instead, eat at Gordito's on Hewitt. Cheaper, healthier, fresh ingredients and no pools of grease everywhere.

Enjoyed their food more than other restaurants in the area. The guacamole is excellent. I enjoyed the fajitas!

This place has the best food ever. They wait staff is friendly and nice. Doesn't matter how busy they are, I have never felt rushed to leave. Great food, great staff.

ok roundeyes, its your turn for some culture that comes from south of the border and i dont mean redheads with hair! I think its important to note that there are not many very good authentic mexican food restaurants in Washington and if you are a native who has never had mexican food from california, texas, MEXICO, then you dont know authentic mexican food. SO listen up roundeyes....fat roundeyes if you are thinking about mexican food on a hot night like tonight! tampico has a pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, good prices, pretty darn good food, for washington its freaking Michelin award winning, and the presentation is very colorful. I had the taste bud popping opportunity to taste the chile relleno, which was good and not mushy....lots of flavors.... the tampico salad with chicken...ice water.....all very tastee and very fresh ingredients.... the downside to washington mexican food is this thing that roundeyes, sorry...fat roundeyes call bland flavor...thats where all the mexican food you are eating has different textures but overall the same flavor and the burps are all the same...no distinction in flavors....you wont get that at tampico as i am finding my burps to be very flavorful and i can taste the difference between the chicken burps and the tostada shell burps... ok...enough sillyness... food=4 stars service=5 stars atmosphere=4 stars cleanliness=4 stars price=5 stars selection=4 stars try the place, you will not be disappointed and if you are its probably because you think taco bell is good mexican food

Tampicos is the best mexican restraunt here in everett. The place has been around for a while considering that my whole family @ one point or another has been here. It is family oriented. and that is big in my book since i have 2 sons under 2. The employees are really nice, and if you are a regular, they remember you, and your food choices. It is a good place to come if you want to just sit down, relax, and have some wonderful food!!!

Margaritas. I'll say it again. Margaritas. They are SO worth the drive (granted, you'll need a place to crash once you're done, or an event to sober up with - I recommend a Silvertips game), but their booze is spot on. I don't know what they mask the tequila with, but one of their margaritas will get you rockin'. Two, and you'll be rolling. Three, and you'll forget about the Silvertips game and call it a night. Their food is pretty standard fare - nothing to write home about. I'd put it on par with Azteca. Come for the 'ritas. Stay for some more.

When they mean spicy shrimp, they mean spicy shrimp. I am a lover of all things spicy. This made my nose run. It has to be habanero based spice. Ordered the #40 and I saw no telltale seasoning to indicate the spice. But the heat exploded in my mouth. You have to appreciate a restaurant that only has one bottle of hot sauce on the table instead of four or five. The red salsa was nice and spicy and the green salsa was refreshing. The cadillac margarita was very strong and I became the designated driver for my friend. The area around the restaurant is nasty so don't leave valuables in the car.

We left money on the table and walked out. The "margarita" arrived and we just looked at each other and started cracking up. It was neon blue. It tasted about as good as it looked. The chips were rubbery and the paper that was in the basket holding them looked dirty, possibly as if it had never been changed? We just said no thanks.

In the past, totally at least 3 or 4 stars! This time, yuck! food was terrible for the price you pay. Unfortunately, we definitely don't plan on coming back anytime soon.

1st time at this restaurant. 4:30 on a Tuesday. Not many customers. Only one waiter. Slow service. After ordering we did not see waiter till I asked for a bill. Food was below average for other Mexican restaurants in the area. Highest margaritas prices ever. $9.75 for a single. BEWARE. There are other great places within a mile.

It is difficult to find a decent Mexican restaurant outside of Southern California. This place comes close. Decent selectionbof northern Mexican cuisine. I enjoyed their arroz con pollo. It was full of sauteed onions, red peppers, green peppers, carrots, and mushrooms. Huge chunks of tender chicken breasts. Good stuff! I took it as a good sign that when my husband and I came here late, there were still people coming in. We arrived there at nine. The restaurant was half full. By the time we left, it was full! Great margarita selection. I love their salsa, especially their tomatillo salsa. It is mild but has a nice kick which is difficult to achieve with tomatillo. I would definitely come back here again, especially for their dinner specials. You can two amongst taco, enchilada, tamales, tostada, chimichanga, and a chalupa for $8!

  • Bitsy G.

Overall, pretty damn good. I've only been here once, and my first impression was the salsa: fantastic! Really spicy, which was unusual as typically house salsa is medium, not hot, and especially not HOT hot! My husband and I were there with friends who'd been there before, and said that the salsa usually isn't that hot. I didn't mind, but I was the only one who was making much of a dent in the salsa as it was too much for almost everyone at the table. The service was great. When we went, it was around the holidays, and it was a slow night, but the staff was friendly, service was quick and everything was really clean. I ordered the chicken pipian, mostly because you rarely see this on the menu. I'd seen pumpkin-seed sauce prepared on Rick Bayless' cooking show ages ago and have been longing to try it ever since. It was so good! I'd go back just for that! On the downside, my husband ordered the nachos Tampico, which come with shrimp. I think he was expecting larger shrimp, but what he received looked (and smelled) a lot like canned shrimp. Ick. Tiny little shrimp packed onto the top of his nachos. It didn't smell or look appetizing at all. The on the rocks margarita's are ridiculously strong. One person had a blended margarita, which wasn't nearly as strong. They claim to make their own margarita mix, which I tend to believe since it tasted really fresh. If I lived closer, I'd probably be there on a weekly basis! Their menu has a nice mix of the usual fare plus unique dishes, like the chicken pipian and Dungeness crab rellenos. Portion sizes were perfect, and I liked that you can order a 1/2 size if you aren't hungry enough to eat a massive dish, or if you don't want a doggy bag. The restrooms are downstairs, so be careful if you've had a margarita!

We went in tonight what seem to be a slow night (7:30 pm) We asked for a table that holds 5 adults They sat us at a booth, which we felt cramped in 3 on one side 2 on the other. We asked the waiter to be changed to a table, He started asking why - we said it was to small Again he said its not to small. I said please can we switch to a table He said to make it work (Empty tables were in the back. Room - we could see them.) My eldest son got up and left -and said I don't have time for this crap We all followed Went to another Mexican place in Everett & spent $100.00 there I doubt we will go back

Very very good!! Margaritas were the best! Two kinds of salsa served with your chips, staff is friendly and quick service. Very clean, will be back for sure!

Our favorite date night mexican restaurant. The service is always friendly, attentive and lightening FAST. The food is always consistently spot on with flavor and spice. We also get take out from here at least once a month. The place is pretty much always packed. And the drinks are strong!

Everyone needs their own Tampico. I've been going here for 15 years now and my standard is set against Tampico. The Tampico burrito is simply amazing. And the salsa you get both red and green are yummy. They're more than tomato with some onion and cilantro added there is Zip. The crab enciladas are awsome and there's nothing better midday on a lazy Saturday than the Tampico nachos with shrimp and a couple Margaritas! The Margaritas.... The Tampico Margarita is awesome. They don't hold back. It is worth every single penny. The best and most noticiable part is that the waitstaff doesn't turn over so you get to know your waiter and they you. I enjoy getting to stop in and see Juan, Daniel and Roy!

This is a childhood favorite for me, and they are well known for their amazing golden margaritas! However, their food is only okay and the service is normally about that level as well. I will always love them and fondly remember many fried ice cream birthdays, but without the memories they are "meh."

Nice atmosphere, seated quickly, order brought out amazingly fast. So why only one star? That was the worst enchilada I have ever eaten in my 42 years of life. Im not going back any time soon

The food is fresh and delicious. Our friends ordered the chicken taquitos and my husband and I split the taco special. The taco was large, beans tasted fresh and the rice was great! They may need a professional team to come in and clean though, a facelift fresh paint new carpet or better yet hardwood floors. Customer service was great and we got there thirty minutes before they closed! Highly recommend!

This place is ok. You can get better for less. This is the most popular place in its local radius of a mile or so but it went from being great as a kid to just over hyped, over ran, over patronized. Prices are too high. Again, there are better places. You won't hate it if you go but I feel more authentic, better tasting places deserve the business.

Yummy! Fair prices, good food, and friendly staff. Best Mexican food in North Everett, that's for sure. Helpful Hint-Their red table salsa s hot, but we mix in the mild green sauce and it's perfect. They have CHEAP lunch specials!

I'll just start with my first impression... It's kinda divey from the outside, and not a ton better on the inside. Historically speaking, for me.. this usually indicates that it just might be a good place to eat mexican food. The 3 strung out tweaker chicks that were leaving the "no-tell mo-tel" next door as we approached the restaurant about made me lose my appetite before entry, but I hadn't eaten lunch. The salsa and chips we started with were fantastic. The chips were warm and very lightly salted, and the salsa... OMFG THE SALSA! It was -actually- spicy! Something EXTREMELY hard to come by in this area. I was totally enamored with this place immediately. I've lived in the states of UT, CO, and CA each for a few years, and while I do not miss those places AT ALL, there's one thing i do miss that they all had and my home (Western WA) seems to lack. Good mexican food. It seems nigh on impossible to get a "smothered burrito" done right around Seattle! Well, last night i had the "2 burritos, enchilada style", filled with chili verde, and i have to say i was VERY pleasantly surprised. They were nice flat, sloppy burritos covered with so much sauce and cheese, i wasn't sure where one burrito started and the other ended. Not like these places round seattle that give you one 3" round monster of a burrito that's dry and filled with... well, "filler" (rice and beans and who knows what other garbage). These were all business. Beans and rice on the side.. as it should be! My lady had a chili relleno (not all that impressive) and a chicken chimichanga which was pretty darn good. The service was OUT-F**KING-STANDING!! Water glasses 1/3-1/2 down were replenished without hesitation. Chips were replenished before the basket was empty. We devoured the salsa so quickly, they brought two dishes of it, rather than one when they brought more chips. Pretty awesome. I wasn't left wondering "where's my food" or "where's a waiter"?. Not even for a brief moment. I was going to give 4 stars, as i've had better mexican food, but this deserves 5, considering the local competition.

The carne asada was fantastic. The drinks were STRONG. Like this tastes horrible, but i getting another one strong. Both of us got the trots the next day, but the food was good enough to try it again. (just going to plan a day at home following the next visit)

We have old family friends living up in Burlington and once a year we meet here at Tampico for a reunion dinner. I absolutely love this small family owned mexican restaurant. Not a fan of big chains like La Palmera or Azteca. Restaurants like Tampico are becoming extinct in our depressing economy state. From the courteous staff to the exceptional food, Tampico does it right from the start. I switch between fajita and carne asada, but their spanish rice and black beans are to-die-for. Literally. Not too dry, or overly soft. Just perfect. If you need extra condiments, they immediately jump on it. I'd like to make trips out here more than once a year, so next time I'm up in Everett, I'll be stopping in!

Due to their proximity, I've been here well over 50 times. Food: They have some great dishes (Burritos, Taco Salad) and some not-so-great dishes (Chile Colorado when compared to other places.) Drinks: Are strong, but often taste of cheap liquor (which isn't always bad!) Staff: Very accommodating and friendly. Speed: Fast! Cleanliness: Average - might also seem "dirtier" because of scary motel it's connected to. Price: Average Bonus: They are good at dealing with parties of 8 or more on the fly. One of the main reasons we keep coming back. If you have a coupon or a large group, this is a good place. --- My standard rating disclaimer: I rate places as compared to other similar places. In other words a hot dog cart or taco stand can easily be five-stars when compared to other carts and stands.

What can I say, if the waiter is honest, I'm gonna try what he likes. I usually get either Pescado Veracruzana or Carnitas plate. They had neither, but the waiter suggested that teh carne asada plate is the best. Even asked how i wanted it. Started off with some chips and salsa, the tomatillo was nice and the pico de gallo was hot. Both were good. The carne asada plate came and it was scolding hot, it was fresh off the grill. Rice, Beans, Lettuce and tomatoes with Crema on it. 3 fairly large flank steaks with some grilled green onions. The flour torillas were probably store bought "mission" torillas they were not good. Well tasted store bought. I need some home made torts. Flan as heavy and custardy. But tasty. All for $24 including tip. Prety good for dinner.

  • Kyla C.

Holy strong margaritas batman!! One of the cadillacs was enough for me for the rest of the night. Super spicy salsa and pico de gallo even. Food was just ok and service was shoddy (forgot my pico, sister didn't get the black beans she ordered) and restaurant itself is in need of a carpet cleaning. Come for the margaritas, period, and make sure to bring a designated driver!

Don't be fooled by the location of this long-standing Mexican Restaurant. They are next to a dive motel and witness to some pretty interesting street life on Broadway in Everett. The food is consistently good, and the service is extremely attentive without being bothersome. My husband and I have been eating at Tampico's for about 8 years now. Their staff turnover is exceptionally low. Roy and Juan have been servers since my first visit, they always remember our orders. (I like cheese enchiladas, no sauce and well-cooked cheese on top. :-) STRONG margaritas! Yummy too. I can sometimes work my way through 1 1/2 if I"m not the designated driver. SALSA is muy delicioso! Nice and hot the way I like it. I try to remind myself every time to slow down and not get full on chips & salsa! My husband loves the Tortilla Soup. Great for lunch if you work in the area, and as a Friday night gathering spot for friends. There is also a room in the back that can accommodate larger groups. They don't rush you out the door like some of the other Mexican joints (La Palmera, Azteca), but will let you sit and enjoy your meal. WARNING: The stairs down to the restrooms are quite steep, and the restrooms only accommodate 2 at a time (Damas that is, don't have knowledge of the Caballeros!) Plus no changing facilities for babies.

I have been told by my co-workers that this place has great margaritas, but since I was working, I didn't have the chance to try them. The restaurant is pretty standard Mexican restaurant, the lunch menu is somewhat limited. You are somewhat nickel and dimed, eg cilantro costs extra, onions extra, pico de gallo is extra, etc. Staff is very friendly and the food comes quickly after ordered. The red and green hot sauces are good, not too spicy.

First things first, this place has no bar. However, I went ahead and sat at a booth. Upon sitting down, I immediately noticed that the place was not very clean. There was dust everywhere. I first noticed it when I looked through my window at the view of Le hotel next door, which looks shady. The blinds were filled with dust. I went ahead and overlooked that and ordered a top shelf margarita. It was a Strong marg, & freagin delicious. They immediately brought out chips & salsa, thats right, dos salsas. The Salsa verde was good, heck both of them were, chips were warm. While I was enjoying my drink, a man came in and ordered take out. He wanted a nacho with no cheese. I, as well as the hostess/ owner found it odd. Anyways, the point is, they accomodated him with no problem. Overall, It was pleasant and the dinner was good & filling.

The Wife and I were in the North end of Everett and had a craving for Mex and we have not been to Tampico in more than 10 years as we had moved to the South End. Parking still sucks, but the food is still great, chicken verde was awesome and the wife had Fajita's. The salsa is a bit too spicy for my taste but my tongue can not handle the hot stuff well. Service was fast, in fact they were rushing all around like the Boss was a watchin. Will return as we have forgot how good this place was/is.

  • Sarah R.

I have been to Tampico half a dozen times and never been disappointed. The margaritas are mostly tequila, which I find fantastic, and the guacamole is delicious. I've had several dishes, and I'm a huge fan of the carne asada and the chile colorado. The service is always excellent. About half the time I'm in Everett I end up eating here, and I'd definitely recommend it to everyone I know.

  • R M.

Menu and specials are very good, service even when crowded is excellent. They bring chips and two dips before you order, immediately, portions are generous, yeah. The prices are very low or can be expensive depending on your selection. Basement bathroom oh well cannot do stairs handicap.

My favorite for a GREAT cadillac margarita, one should do you fine! Pollo a la Creama is my usual order, but I also like their burritos & broiled chicken quesadill too. Location isn't great & parking is limited but it's worth it!

    (5)
  • Matt R.

Great food. Good service. Their drinks are syrupy sweet, like they used the mixer from the soda aisle. They need to at least upgrade their Margaritas to fresh squeezed. But I love the food. Any dish I've had has been very enjoyable. The chips and salsa are good and fresh made on-site as well. Parking is a pain.

  • Kristin B.

I'm giving 3 stars because I remember this place being SO much better than it was last night. I got a burrito, and it turned out to be the size of my thigh which was enticing but scary as well. My husband got the Chile Colorado and was super impressed. He said he hasn't had better Mexican food in a LONG time. The enchilada sauce on my burrito tasted like it was burned and it just wasn't very good. The restaurant itself is in a terrible location and I was worried that the meth-head wandering around in the parking lot would break one of our car windows but he behaved. The staff is nice, the food is OK. Do what you will Yelpers.

There is a big ass rock in my friend food ( bean) when we have dinner there. The waiter laugh it off like it happen everyday. I would give this place less than one star if it possible. Boo! for the horrible service.

I've eaten here a handful of times and even though it's okay and I keep returning it's not my favorite mexican cuisine (El Pariso's on 112th in everett is my all time favorite). It is a small cramped resturnat inbetween a hotel (that I swear I've witnessed drug deals at) and a disgusting Alfy's Pizza. The food is good, no bugs or hair mixed in, but it's nothign to die for. The salsa they serve with your pre meal chips are pretty good. You get a salsa verde and a red almost pico type salsa. Both spicy and delishious. I have had their fajitas and I wasn't that impressed, sauce was missing a bit of something I just couldnt put my finger on it. My boyfriend devours his food almost instantly so apparently he likes it. The portion sizes are rather large as most mexican places are and the prices were decent although I think El Pariso may be slightly cheaper. Need to do a side by side comparrison. :) I will return here as it's close to my house but I'd much rather go some place else with slightly better tasting food.

I stopped eating here because the help looked so sad and it bummed me out. The area is high on the depressing scale. Their drinks are strong, suspiciously strong. I'm wondering if they put rubbing alcohol in to enhance them. I'm not a fan of cheep liquor, but hey that's just my preference.

Darn good Mexican in Everett! I have ordered for pick up and walked in and as always there was excellent service and the food was great. Parking really does not exist. There bathroom is kinda scary with those stairs. Other than that fantastic! And 10 x better than Azteca.

Best margaritas and food is awesome as well! Love the chipotle sauce, very spicy for those who like it hot. Sonora enchiladas is another great choice along with tortilla soup (large is VERY large, so beware). Nothing beats the value and speedy service here!

  • Miles E.

Tampico is one of those decent family Mexican restaurants with good, satisfying food, huge portions, and middle-of-the-road prices. You won't write home about it, but it's comfort food, and you probably will be back again and again. I usually order the fajitas.

My feelings are so mixed. I have a 2-part experience to share. Part 1: Went there for dinner with my sister and her boyfriend: Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the food, and I thought that they served giant portions. I got the sonora enchilada and my sister got the chicken quesadilla, and we stuffed ourselves. My sister's boyfriend, on the other hand, was quite disappointed with his shrimp enchilada (which always sounds like a terrible choice to me, but what do I know?). Part 2: Boyfriend left and 2 girlfriends showed up. We ordered margaritas, which were quite good. As we began to enjoy them, some crazy guy runs into the restaurant with blood on his face, yelling to use the phone. it was a pretty unpleasant experience with him and the police outside. I know that this isn't their fault, but it's a crappy location. One of the girls ordered nachos...which is never a healthy option, but you don't expect the chips to be wading in a pool of grease. That was fairly unappetizing. Also, between dinner and drinks, we received a new server...who spoke very broken English, and had a leering issue. He would linger just a little bit too long at our table, and would be staring at us from across the room. When checking our I.D.s he studied them, as if mentally logging addresses. He was pretty uncomfortable. So, between the blood, the grease, and the creeper, we made it a short evening.

At first when you see it from the front you think it's must only have 6 tables but the restaurant keeps going and is pretty big. The food is as good as it gets and great service. the bad trying to find a parking space can be a little tough, It is a little run down but that might just add to the Mexican atmosphere. The best Mexican food in Everett.

Tampicos is a standard Mexican resturant except that it provides insanely strong drinks! If you're looking for the regular old fair (burritos, enchaladas) but crave an outstanding margarita to flavor your evening, Tampicos is the place to go! Keep in mind, the resturant is vibrant and patrons are talkative, so it's best to be visiting on a night you're looking to be chatty and enjoy that sort of environment. It's also great if you have young kids who are a bit noisy. The grownups will drown out the noise of all the little ones!

Ill start by saying the food was on point and hella good.. The chips and salsa were good but holy is it spicy almost too spicy. The drinks were over priced and I got no buzz at all and normally at Mexican restaurants you get one ha I asked for queso sauce and they charged me ten bucks for it. I was thinking it would at least 4:99 tops. It was so good though but ten bucks??? Service was mediocre. Took forever to get our food and the check etc and we were the only ones in there. Also dissatisfied with the fact that there is no bar. I should have gone somewhere else. Wasn't worth the $50

Mexican food it is in a state where it's hard to find authentic, the chips and salsa on point, the server very friendly and dedicated. The food well not so much of what I expected it was good but not blown away! Perhaps I'll eat here again but for now I'm still in the search for that one spot!

This is my neighborhood go to Mexican restaurant. It's clean and the staff are nice. The complimentary chips and salsa are delicious. I've never eaten anything here that I didn't like. If I order take out the food is packaged nicely and they still give you some chips. Obviously not the best Mexican food I've ever eaten , but that's home in Texas. This place meets the need.

This is my husband's and mine favorite Mexican restaurant. The beans are to die for! One of our favorite meals here is the chicken taco salad. It is always light and crispy and the chicken is tender. The waiters are always friendly to us and make us feel welcome. Don't miss out on this little jewel of a restaurant!

We ordered take out from here a couple of days ago. We have had dinner and lunch here several times so we knew what to expect. The food was excellent. My husband and son each got the Macho burrito and I got the combination (beef taco, tamale, and bean burrito). As always it was great. The chips were fresh and the salsa was spicy! The menu is varied so it meets everyone's tastes. The servings were big so I was able to take left overs to work the next day! I highly recommend this place!

Once a month on a Saturday night, my husbands side of the family and I gather here for a big family dinner. We, so far, haven't had a issue getting a big table. The food is great and so are the drinks (& strong!). The service is pretty good. Maybe a little slow at times, but not complain worthy. I always order steak fajitas and they're pretty legit. My favorite Mexican restaurant is El Paraiso on 112th. They have way better chips and tortillas, in my opinion, but it's further away for some of our family to get to. The parking at Tampico sucks and it's in a sketchy part of town, but all in all, I enjoy going there.

Let me just say, I use to love this place. I may have caught them on a bad night. The service was terrible. We had to ask our server if we could order after being there 15 minutes. We had to ask for a check. No one asked if our meal was okay.... The food was so salty. I felt nauseous after eating just a quarter of my meal. The only thing that was really good was the guacamole and chips. I really wish we would have went somewhere else.

Found this restaurant on a day trip to the outlets last weekend. From the outside, it looked like a dive but it was still busy inside for after 9pm. The service started with nachos and salsas. Both a mild and spicy salsa was provided. The menu is well varied with options for everyone. I had a chimichanga combo with burrito, and it was delicious. Unlike chimichangas from other Mexican restaurants, it wasn't overly massive (very reasonable) and the filling and sides were all excellent. The waiters filled our water very regularly, and were extremely attentive. Highly recommended.

Was in the area and starving, looking for somewhere to go get some grub, when I drive by this little place on Broadway. It looked busy so I figured what the hell I'll try it! Boy am I glad I did!! This little place is a gem! The waiters promptly greeted me and gave me my booth. I ordered a combo meal with a chicken chimichanga and a cheese enchilada with a side of guacamole. They brought out FRESH hot tortilla chips with salsa Verde, red salsa and my guac. And little individual dishes to put them all in. Very nice touch there. My food came out about 10 minutes later, and it was a busy night the place was pretty packed. The cheese enchilada was excellent, I love whatever kind of sauce they used. The chimichanga was nice and crisp with super juicy and tender meat inside, not dry at all and it was served with sour cream and guac on top. Excellent food, I spent less than 25$ and had some leftover. I enjoyed it so much that I brought my friends back with me 2 days later lol..... Their carne Asada looked super good too but I didn't try it. Definitely a good Mexican place if u ask me. I will come here when I visit town.

This is where to go for yummy Mexican food in the Everett area. Be sure to ask for light cheese and prepare your tongue for super spicy salsa. So far I have been pleased with every dish I've ordered. I keep going back because it's consistent, fast and delicious.

This is one of the few Mexican restaurants in Everett that I had not been to yet. The service was really good- with the owner or manger (I'm not sure which he was, but he was clearly I'm charge) checking in with every customer and working along side the wait staff. They even brought our appetizer on a cool plate so my 4 yr old wouldn't burn herself. (This is shockingly uncommon. Most restaurants don't think about it, or think toddlers have a +10 to fire resistance.) The food was ok. My carne asada was perfectly cooked, but the rice was bland. My daughter loved her beans, but the chicken from the chicken taco was dripping in sauce- a bit too much for a taco. I may try this place again seeing as how there are so many raving fans.

I never knew about this place, but my wife had been here several times before. Parking is quite a chore around the building, so prepare for parking issues if you get here at peak times. Service was very good, chips and (green and red) salsa were very tasty if not a bit on the hotter side. Portions were generous and the cost was about what I expected. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga (there is another combo plate with 2 of them) and I'm glad I only got the 1 (I could barely finish it). The food was really good and better than other places I have been in the area.

Mmma...it's been over ten years since we've eaten here. Thought it was time to give them a second chance...the result was about the same. The food was ok...the place was cleaner and brighter then I remember. The appetizer Deluxe chicken quesadilla was pretty good and could easily be ordered as an entrée. The chips and salsa the serve while you wait are just about the best thing they have. I ordered the two enchiladas, talk about cheese!! That was the only thing they had going for them, otherwise they where dry and bland:( you'd be better off going to El Paraiso...

**HAIR-BALL ALERT** It's been a while since I took the time to write a review. After my experience here, it is warranted to comment. The atmosphere and food was just par for the course of small/family chain Mexican joints. I ordered a #20 which was in good portion, but was rather bland. My dining companion ordered a Carne Asada. It appeared to be adequate in portions too. The main problem was the added bonus of a rather large HAIR-BALL interwoven in one of the larger pieces of beef. It takes a lot to disgust me and HAIR in my food is the perfect way. The best part of this was that the staff seemed to care less about it. The one gal even suggested it was a white hair in it/not from the kitchen. Yup, we brought in a needle and white hair to sew a mass of hair into the food. They did NOT comp the meal. In fact, no discount at all. They replaced the meal and charged for everything. Nice. It has been a lot of years since I have had/noticed foreign object in food. I was NEVER charged when this has happened.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
