Oshima Sushi Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Not bad for the price but I'd rather pay a little more for better food. Nonetheless I would have given this place three stars except the server was neglectful and I never got my miso soup...

The quality is fabulous, the prices are good, it was quick, and he even made us a roll that was not on the menu. It was so good, and we continued to order roll after roll that at one point while placing our last order he legitimately said "are you serious?!" And started laughing. I don't think he believed two guys could eat so much delicious food. I don't always eat sushi, but the next time I feel like it I will return here.

Great sushi. I recommend the scallop rolls, crazy monkey, and the cucumber rolls. Not sure what else to say here, I've been hooked since I first came here, so I may be a little biased. The service is good, though the waitress mixed up orders a bit the last time I was in. But the restaurant was busy that day, I can hardly blame her. :) The service is great, and the chef is fantastic. If you're on the go, you can also get take-out, though with take-out you are losing the beautiful presentation of the food, and then sushi may end up in pieces. Still, need sushi to go? Definitely come here, it'll taste the same, even if it isn't as pretty in a foam container as it is displayed as art on a plate. The prices are very reasonable too. :)

Yum! Had the popcorn lobster roll, cucumber roll, tempura shrimp and BBQ ribs. All was very good. Service was prompt and friendly. Track this place down and try it.

Very good sushi for the price. Same owner as the Oshima in Hmart Lynnwood. He is a transplant from Orange County and knows his fish. The fish is very good quality. I have been here several times for lunch and dinner since it opened and the quality has been consistent. I stick to the traditional nigiri and sashimi so I cant speak to any of the crazy rolls, teriyaki or other dishes. But if you want good sushi this place delivers.

You know the fine line between wanting to keep this joint a secret that only you know about -versus- wanting them to get a lot of customers to keep them in business? That's my quandary about Oshima Sushi. We've dined here twice and it's wonderful! Small, charming, awesome food, great wait staff, incredible prices...the whole kit and caboodle. Eat here! But always leave room for me.

Still the best sushi around. I am honestly a bit of an addict and it helps that they know what I want before I order it. There was a slight issue with delayed service for awhile; however, I believe the owner recognized this and any negatives have been flipped to positive. The servers are great, the food is excellent, and reasonably priced. Try the Genki Roll... SO good.

Very good sushi at very reasonable prices . Even for more exotic choices like Uni. Spider role was great as well.

Great place very attentive waitress. Food was up in less than 15 minutes. We had the crazy monkey roll catipillar roll mixed tempura and edamame. All was beautiful ly presented fresh and delicious. Perfevt for two 33.00. Will definitely come back.

Everything is sooo good at this place! Its so affordable for the huge rolls that you pay for! I was looking on yelp for new sushi places to try and while I was looking through the pictures, the Sexy roll is what attracted me to this place! The presentation of that roll made me so hungry. I definitely recommend it! I honestly love this place so much. Every time I go, there isn't that many people. Which is really nice because the service is super fast! However I wish more people new about it because this place is just so good!

Used to been Sushi Zen. My boyfriend and I went to eat here spontaneously to realize. The food was decent... We had a spider roll, the nabe udon, the tuna salad and baked scallop roll. The service was good. Would come back to try different rolls.

Love this place! I usually come here with my mom on special days only because it can get a little pricey, but it's definitely delicious. It's very clean, the atmosphere is awesome (although they used to play Japanese pop music and now they play American pop music that you normally hear on the radio which is a little turn off), the staff are super friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing!

  • A M.

It wasn't bad but definitely not memorable by any means. There was maybe one or two rolls that interest us so we probably won't be back unless they expand their menu or get alittle more creative. Pretty shady shopping center so watch your back

My roommate and I live really close. We like the food. The Bento is affordable for what you get. The problem, however, is the attitude. It has been on and off, but today we just got back and that's why I'm writing this now. We usually get it to go. The ladies when we pay usually have this vibe of "we aren't sitting down to eat so we aren't going to spend a lot of money and tip". I asked on the phone if they can split the order for my roommate and I. When we went to pick up the order, they didn't split it. When I was waiting for my roommate to pay separate, the lady snaps at us and says, "JUST GIVE ME BOTH OF THE CARDS." I don't know if we're gonna go back. They shouldn't have offered a take out option if they don't feel like they are getting enough money out of a single visit. We usually come here regularly, but they shouldn't be rude if we're still giving them business.

The environment is very nice and relaxing!! The food is very good too. Their sushi are amazing!!!:D I highly recommend their sushi! They are very well priced too for what they are! we come here a lot:) The only downside is that their sashimi combo is a mix of four fish based on the chef's choice but I love to get a specific type of fish (e.g. salmon) instead of four random ones... I asked for salmon only but they rejected. I wish they could let me pick the fish. I don't like some of the fish they offered me so that's why I like to pick what I want. But other than this, it's a great Japanese restaurant!

I love it here... Sushi is so yummy and fresh when my sister and I came for lunch one day . I also came In for dinner and wasn't really hungry so I had the udon and crunchy shrimp roll combo I was expecting it to be small but to my surprise it was huge. I love saving money so I will be back for more... Love the lobster roll too :)

  • Stephie M.

Super good fresh sushi, iv been here about 3 times this month only. But last week I ordered out and when I got there they had given my order to someone else on accident and I had to wait 15 mins for my food and they didn't even offer it on the house or a discount. Because of that this isn't a 5 star review. And my California roll that was $7 was 6 or 7 really small pieces. I haven't decided if ill start going back to sushi land for sushi after this. But on the plus side the other food options here are really large portions. The lunch special is a huge plate for about $6

The first time we came here, we were greeted with a nice and friendly waitress. She checked on us frequently and talked to us alot. The sushi was good and I enjoyed their bento box with salad, sushi and teriyaki beef. I've tasted their salmon also and it was okay. The spider roll tasted different than other places but I think it was the bonito flakes. It didn't bother me though. The next time we went there which was maybe 3 months later, the lady remembered us and still very friendly.

This place has excellent sushi and tastes very fresh. The sexy roll is something everyone should try if visiting Oshima. Their prices are very reasonable compare to other restaurants so check this place out!

Oshima has great prices, quality, and friendly services. All there rolls are under 10 and they also have great bento box and lunch specials which have generous portions.

  • Jonathan Y.

As far as sushi goes in these parts... this is about the BEST that you can find. I definitely recommend their chirashi bowl. Amazing food for reasonable value is pretty much what this place is about. This place does not skimp out on the sashimi!

  • Maria M.

We absolutely love this place! The sushi is as tasty and fresh as it gets. Both the wait staff and sushi chef were incredibly friendly and professional. We will definitely be back again and again. Already have been back three times in the past 4 days!

Sushi was good quality and priced better than several other places we frequent. Staff was very attentive as well. Our glasses never had a chance to go empty. Would definitely go again.

Finally Oshima opened out of the food court. I loved there prices, and food however, didn't really like the food court atmosphere, but they opened a sit down, full service restaurant in Everett which I will be going to from now on. Great job Oshima it's about time.

I am a big fan of good sushi. I'm also a big fan of not spending too much money. This restaurant gives me the best of both worlds! It is very possible to have an exceptional, hunger reducing meal for less than $10. My favorite sushi has ways been the Philadelphia Roll, so naturally that was what I ordered. Delicious! Definitely one of the best Philly rolls I ever had. The texture of the Tuna inside there was amazing! Since this was my first time here, I wanted to splurge a little and got one of the specialty rolls, the one that really got my attention was the Crazy Monkey Roll. Very good tasting roll. I also ordered some Edamame to finish it off and those really hit the spot! Overall my experience was a good one. The staff was VERY friendly, awesome service, chef definitely knows what he is doing, and the restaurant itself was very relaxing and beautifully decorated. Will definitely come by again in the future and bring someone else along with me.

This place has stepped it up a notch or two. It isn't really THAT expensive, compared to other high quality sushi places. I love the number of lower cost sushi dishes they have. I will recommend the beef ribs, they are VERY good. I would have preferred a few choices for my salad/salad dressing, though.

I'm a huge sushi fan. Since first going to Oshima, I have never eaten sushi anywhere else. Ken is fantastic! Their salmon is so amazing! Melts like butter in your mouth! I've never ever been disappointed in any roll I've gotten. Hands down, great prices and best sushi I've had! Baked scallop, Alaskan, Karen, Tiger, Caterpillar and Crazy Monkey are a few of my favorites!! This place is just amazing!!!

Worst sushi Ive had by far. Went with my mom because this place had such great reviews. Ordered Unagi, was so mushy, usually has a slight crunchy texture on the outside this was just mush! We told the server, who was very nice, she had the chef make it nigiri because we had accidentally ordered sashimi and she said it wouldn't be as mushy, but he used the same exact pieces so it actually seemed mushier. We also ordered the Playboy Roll because it was a specialty, but it was smothered in a salty mayo-type sauce, all you could taste was salty sauce. Miso soup was ok. Not sure how the other Yelpers have given this place five stars. I did notice the chef in the pictures, here on Yelp, is not the same chef that prepared our food today. Maybe thats why or maybe thats just how sushi is in Everett. I usually go to Japonesa, Wasabi or Umi but then again I live in Seattle, but would highly recommend trying those places so you can taste the difference.

Amazing! This is the full package. We just relocated from LA and wondered whether we would find a fantastic sushi place in Everett. We found it! Oshima is our new go-to place. The food and service were exceptional. Our family of four ordered a variety of items. The sashimi salad was the best we ever had. The caterpillar and lobster rolls were outstanding, and the presentation was beautiful. Basics like tamago and salmon were well-executed. We'll be back frequently.

Good sushi in Everett? Thank you. Yummy seared tuna and fresh sashimi. Pretty good prices too. I also personally enjoy the scenery painted on their walls. Very pleasant service to top it all off! I will be back next time I need a sushi fix for sure!

We found this place by accident, but man am I glad we did! Everything was simply excellent. We had the salmon roll, spicy tuna, the Las Vegas roll- OMG SO GOOD, and a soup/ stew with fish and veggies I'm sorry I forget the name of, but it was outstanding. We'd asked for a pot of their green tea. At first, I was taken aback at the answer I got, but then our waitress explained they don't do pots of tea- they refill promptly with fresh tea every time, also to die for. Our waitress, the chef, everything was awesome and I want to eat more sushi right now writing this...

Comparing against other "sushi restaurant"s in the area this may need a 5 star as this is one of the best I've been to in the greater Seattle area. However, they stick to their script and can't even make a plate of tsukemono (pickles as it were). At any rate, since I have to compare this to my yelp reviews which go up and down the west coast I can't give it 5 stars but I would definitely go back if I am ever hungry for sushi in Everett again. Anyway, the sashimi was fresh; the tuna was actually tuna (yeah you have to know your fish), the tempura done lightly and quickly, scallops fresh n tasty, the roe bowl satisfying (though it looked nothing like the photo in the menu)...we sampled a dozen of the dishes a found nothing really wanting except perhaps we should have asked if they had real wasabe hiding in the back or under the counter (but this is also typical). Also they kept coming to clear plates but we like to eat everything on our plates, the mint leaves and radishes included and must have told them a dozen times to leave the plates, though if we were local and became regulars I would assume that would change quickly enough.

My wife and I decided we wanted to get some sushi for lunch. Her coworker had recommended this place, so we decided to check it out for ourselves. Despite the unassuming surroundings, once you enter the restaurant the decor is very nice (I personally liked the little Sapporo paper balloons hung from the ceiling.) Almost immediately we were greeted and seated at a table (but we could have sat at the sushi bar as well.) Perhaps due to some subliminal advertising, I decided to order myself a Sapporo... I can't imagine where I got the idea! For food, my wife ordered a salmon teriyaki bento box that also came with miso soup and some sashimi. She says it was really good, and the bite I had of the teriyaki salmon was very tasty. For me though, I decided to go with sushi. I felt sort of overwhelmed by the choices as I penciled in my order -- in a good way. I ended up ordering salmon, yellowfin tuna, squid, eel and masago (I believe, anyway. A sort of roe sushi.) All of them were good, but my favorite was the squid. It was topped with a little bit of roe and it had the strangest but most pleasant texture. The eel sushi was also really good -- it seemed to be a bit seared and came with sesame. Altogether everything was great. Oh, and the best part? It was super affordable!

  • Paige M.

Every roll I've ever had here is amazing. I thought it couldn't get any better until I got the Sexy Roll. YES PLEASE. Spicy tuna, crab, avocado, cucumber, masago, tempura shrimp, spicy mayo and sesame sauce. Ok. The I Love Sushi roll is even better. Wow. Inside: Tempura shrimp, cucumber, avocado. Outside: spicy tuna, salmon, green onion, sriracha, miso sauce, pickled radish, and Unagi sauce. I get it with no pickled radish. So fresh and perfectly filling.

  • Kelliann G.

This place is amazing! We've been here a handful of times, and the service is always good. Drinks stay refilled, and food comes out fairly quickly. The prices are very reasonable for both the specialty and basic rolls, especially for how fresh the fish is. The eel sushi is a must, every time. It is always incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The salmon skin hand roll is another must because it is just so frikkin good. I have gotten the salmon skin roll, and it was awesome as well. We have yet to try a roll that isn't amazing. Hubby loves the baby lobster roll, my friend loved the Genki roll, and I loved the baked scallop roll. I can't remember what else exactly we've gotten, but has all been good. Try it out! It's delicious!

  • Anah C.

The restaurant was cute and clean. While walking into the store front we were greeted by the sushi chefs behind the bar then promptly welcomed by the wait staff. Food was good and the pricing was more than reasonable for what we ordered. (Entrees came with the standard salad and miso.) I would recommend this place friends; and it is nice place to bring people who want a quick lunch at reasonable price.

  • Jeff B.

I have fond memories here, and even though we showed up late (the kitchen had closed) they allowed us to order a massive amount of sushi. I went in without reading any reviews and only found it on yelp a year later, I was very impressed. There are six sushi places within three miles of our Everett apartment, and gems should be recognized. Conveyer belt sushi here somehow gets four stars from people so I'm giving them a five to hopefully show the quality of what you're getting. The sashimi plate was fantastic and the uni was fresher than what I had in Seattle, which I have major respect for. I gobbled it up before I even got a picture.

  • Gerald K.

Stopped by Oshima Sushi for lunch today due to great reviews. I agree that the food is delicious. I had a Chirashi Bowl and the fish were amazing. I rated this place 3 stars not because of the food, but because of the service. When ordering the Chirashi Bowl, the waitress was not accommodating whatsoever. I alerted the waitress that I had a shrimp allergy and was wondering if I can substitute the shrimp for mackerel or salmon. Usually I never have problems with a substitution for another fish such as mackerel or salmon, but the waitress here stated that they cannot accommodate that. Not sure as to why since shrimp is more expensive than mackerel or salmon. Anyways, needless to say, the staff at Oshima Sushi needs to be more accommodating to customers with food allergies and allowing substitutions for various items.

After hearing so many good things about this place from my friends, I'm so glad I tried it out!! I've only been here once, but I had an amazing experience here. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in and the service was on point. Everything is super affordable compared to most sushi places and not overpriced. There's a huge menu to choose from and I couldn't decide, so I ordered what the owner recommended which was the Karen Roll. It had all my favorites- crab, shrimp, tuna, salmon, avocado. The sauce on the roll wasn't too heavy or overpowering and it had just the right amount of spice to it. My friend ordered the ramen which thankfully wasn't the instant kind. The noodles were just right and the broth wasn't too salty and perfectly flavorful. Overall fresh food and great service. Would definitely come again next time with my friends!

Been craving sushi for a while and decided to try something new outside of lynnwood today. This was probably the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. First we get placed in the middle of the walkway. Then there's an obnoxiously loud and annoying group of customers. They were practically standing on top of us through the entire meal just to take pictures or videos of their meals and chat with each other. Don't know why they were seated at like 4 separate tables instead of given a bigger table. Seemed like pretty much everyone was bumping into us or standing over us. We asked for a different table and were told there was one left which was taken by someone that had just walked in. The food was alright, the best we had were the baked mussels. We were still hungry and going to order more but the other customers giggling and yelling were so irritating that we just decided it was time to go. The is the first and probably last time I'll come here.

The BEST sushi of the northend. After moving out of downtown last year, I've been in search for tasty restaurants. It's located in a small strip mall and looks very unassuming. Inside it's a cozy neighborhood restaurant. You are always greeted immediately by fresh smiles from servers and sushi chefs. The sashimi is always fresh and they give you large pieces of deliciousness. They have salmon and Hamachi collar. Hamachi is my favorite. I also enjoy the freshly shucked oysters and fried soft she'll crab.

Normally I wouldn't post a review while I'm eating but this place is too good. The prices are fantastic, the place is clean, the service is decent, and the FOOD is what steals the show. We ordered the 911 roll, Poke Bowl, and the Monkey Balls based on a picture someone else posted. The roll was fresh and tasty without the sauce overpowering the rest of the roll. The Monkey balls are a great twist on jalapeño poppers (which they have) with tempura fried mushroom stuffed with cream cheese and spicy tuna. The best part of the night was the Poke Salad. Filled with everything good it was too tasty not to share. I posted a picture for those who need to join the poke club. We will be back and this is now our favorite sushi place.

I order udon and sashimi and it appeared that the sushi chefs chuckled that I did so. And then later on it seemed liked the servers joke about it too. I don't get what's wrong with ordering something that's in the menu. They weren't speaking English, but it appeared directed towards me.

Went here for lunch and got the Salmon Teriyaki lunch special with 6 tuna rolls. Their 3 lunch specials were a great deal! $7.50 or less for each of them. The food was delicious and was the perfect portion for a filling lunch. Service was also very friendly and quick, and the restaurant was pretty empty for around 11:30am on a weekday.

Love this place, come here monthly. It's affordable and always the same. The sushi combo A is a real affordable mix of roll and sushi. Everything has always tasted fresh. The service has been hit and miss with new people coming and going. But the sushi is ALWAYS delicious!

My meal at Oshima was the best Japanese meal I have ever had. That is saying a lot because I lived in Japan. Everything is presented with style, and plated with the skill you would expect in a Michelin Star restaurant. The sashimi plate was ocean fresh and cut with perfection. The oyster ceviche was totally new to me; it was deliciously creative and I can't stop thinking about it. I'll be eating here every chance I get.

We came here, because the other 2 places we usually visit were closed on Sunday and oh man. What a pleasant surprise! None of those fake green leaves on your plate. Everything is real and the sashimi is super fresh. Not overpriced. Come eat here!

My husband and I just moved to Washington from NYC and we have not had this good of sushi in a LOOOONG time. We sat at the bar and ordered the takoyaki & soft shell crab as appetizers. Delicious. The takoyaki was ridiculously hot (as it should be) and my husband (who has had takoyaki in Osaka) said it was the best he's had since he was in Japan. Both appetizers were priced really fairly, too. I've had the same appetizers elsewhere for a heftier price. For dinner, we ordered the omakase. If you're a real sushi lover, please do this. The sushi chef is really good at what he does and the fish is just so. effing. good. I can't even remember how many dishes we had but every dish was better than the last. Forreal. We had the salmon, tuna, mackerel, yellowtail, oysters (omg), scallop, shrimp, uni, monkfish liver.. I'm sure I'm missing a few. It was all done chef's choice and he told us we could stop whenever we wanted. We ended with some poke. Everything was so, so, SO good. We had to find out just how good the sexy roll was so even though we were completely satisfied and happy with the omakase, we ordered the sexy roll anyway. It was delicious as well but I really insist sitting at the bar and ordering omakase. That's really the way to go. Easily one of the best sushi places I've been, ever.

Ken and Sang are awesome. I see Sang all the time and always ask him to make something special. He is a lover of accentuating the natural flavors of fish so I ask for something with salmon and light. He always makes the best. I've tried everything on the menu so I always get the specials. The Justin roll was one of my all time favorites because of the citrus in the lemon slices. I always started my meals off with some Monkey balls. I'm bummed I moved from Everett because I'll have to find a new place to go. Miss you guys!!

Just ate at Oshima and I have to say that it was EXCELLENT!!! I was in town from Los Angeles visiting my daughter and had a craving for sushi so we hopped on Yelp to find the best rated sushi the Everett area had to offer. I was not disappointed. The sashimi sampler was amazing - consisting of Ono, Salmon, Ahi Tuna and another one I can't remember right now. They didn't skimp on the slices and every piece of fish was as fresh as you can get short of eating it live. The Ono was amazing. Spicy hamachi handroll, spicy tuna handroll, Saba, Unagi, baked mussels were all top-notch. We asked the chef to make us something we would like and he came up with little rolls of yellowtail, octopus, avocado and other delectable goodness all wrapped up in a thinly sliced white radish. The explosion of acidy, lemony, sweet, salty, spicy amazingness was remarkable. I can't say I've ever had a roll quite like this - and the beauty of it was that there was no rice at all. Seriously, I've eaten at some pretty amazing, traditional sushi restaurants and this one ranks right up there with them. Oh yeah, and compared to what I'm used to paying in LA, I was quite pleased with the prices. Highly, highly recommended!!!

  • Mars S.

I was really craving sushi and based on the reviews this was the best option around. The food was good, no it was great, but the service was not what I would expect from a Japanese restaurant. The girl who waited on us was American and had definitely not been instructed in any kind of etiquette, I had previously mentioned to her after placing my order that I was considering to add more items- she approached the table just as I put a roll in my mouth and asked if I wanted anything else, when I didn't respond immediately seeing as that I just placed a large sushi roll in my mouth she puffed away stating "ok guess not." Although there was only one other table it took her so long to come over again that by that time I was ready to leave considering I never really felt welcome in the first place. Even when she sat our order down it was like she was walking away as she set it down - I didn't quite understand it. Why not pause for a moment, there's only one other table. The food however was very good and for that I have given 4 stars alone. Good sushi in this midst is like finding diamonds on Saturn. Maybe I will get something to go next time, at least I'm welcome at home.

Sushis good. I bragged about this place, took my best friend here to be turned away for lunch break??? We went somewhere else. Im a server and have never turned anyone away for lunch... needless tosay i won't recommend this place to anyone. there are no signs that say there are closed from 245-4. We ate somewhere else. I felt it was really rude.

WORST service ever. Since we stepped inside, our server was rushing us to place order. She was way toooo obvious of this too. There was an hour left into the restaurant closing. I am a great foodie and know my sushi damnnn well. Ordered California roll- average, spicy tuna roll- average, shrimp crunch California roll- okay but the price was overpriced for the random crunch they sprinkled on top of the rolls. Since when did sprinkling crunch and squirting sauce on top of rolls cost $3-$4 more?! Even with the same ingredients inside?!? We ordered tempura which was great. As any Japanese restaurant tht I have been to, which are too many to count, I always order green tea. This is as simple as throwing some herbs into hot water when ordered With or after food. When the bill came, the owners charged me $2 for a small cup of green tea. I was way too rushed while eating since the server kept coming to let us know that we need to be sure that we are not ordering more since the kitchen will be closing. The staff was sitting with their stuff packed by 8:45 pm. Just cuz the restaurant closes at 9 pm, that doesn't mean you should quickly hand bills to customers to get going. Yes, this also happened. While we were eating, the server placed the bill on our table and left. So unprofessional. NEVER going back! - one foodie lost-

The gyoza was excellent. Crispy thin skins, great flavor. I had the ramen & spicy tuna roll combo. The ramen was miso based, a little bland BUT there were plenty of goodies, mushroom, egg, corn, 2 kinds of sliced fish cake, I think they're was a small portion of sliced spinach, and bean sprouts. The spicy tune was a whole roll! My hubby had the poke' bowl. It was a generous portion! Great fresh fish, very tasty!!! If it wasn't for the fact that we were so distracted with the holiday shopping list I would have taken pictures!

After seeing the previous reviews and photos I decided to give this place a try over my own favourite that I will mention shortly. I really wanted to like Oshima, the staff were quite friendly and attentive, but I cannot for the reasons I shall list below. I gave them two stars because I didn't try their non-sushi items, otherwise two stars is being wholly generous. I ordered two staples, a spicy tuna roll and a california roll. I browsed the menu as I waited and not more than thirty seconds after ordering they were in front of me. It is physically impossible to make them fresh, and far more importantly good, so quickly. Unfortunately it is obvious they were premade despite the beautiful fresh fish on display--the Nigiri and Sashimi are probably fine, but those are hard to screw up with good fish--they were bland all around with soggy rice. Another telling thing was the lack of ends on both, where did they go? The taste did nothing to dispel my suspicions and frankly I've had better grocery store sushi which looked more appetising to boot. The craziest and most vexing thing about this is that the rolls were warm, if you're going to premake your sushi (or defy physics) at least refrigerate it and serve chilled. I suspect the chef could actually be talented, but I can't justify spending $10 on a specialty roll that might be good when the two simple and staple rolls I used to test the waters were so lacking. A chef or restaurant that takes themselves seriously do not phone in something so simple or what one might even call pedestrian and still expect the customer to spend money on more expensive items, this is what I find most galling and ultimately turns me away forever. Everyone is a critic nowadays; I'm certainly not saying I could do better at home than what I was given at Oshima, that's why I pay to go out and expect something good in return. If you don't mind paying a dollar more for infinitely better rolls just drive down the street to Tokyo House on Everett Mall Way. They are consistently great and I've been going there for a decade. If you like Safeway sushi Oshima is fine, but try somewhere else like my own favourite and be blown away.

This is by far, the best sushi place around. It is my go-to sushi place and for very good reason. Service is very quick, which is awesome! My favorite item from the menu is probably the sexy roll. Funny name, but I love it! The fish, along with all the ingredients they use; all taste fresh and clean. Presentation is also very nice! They are located in a very easy to find location. If you know where Razzals is, Oshima is right next to the entrance of the plaza.

Damn good sushi. The jalapeños poppers were awesome and the crazy monkey roll was great. The Alaska roll had huge pieces of salmon. All rolls under 10 bucks.

Decided to try this place after craving some sushi after some minor shopping with my girlfriend. Read the reviews on help and thought, why not? Best sushi spot I've been to so far in the area. Fair prices and delicious quality. Service was on point and the chefs even thanked us for coming in. That's how it should be. Looking to try other places but Oshima gets the dibs on sushi so far.

Sushi rolls and service both amazing! Our lunch started with a crispy shrimp roll that was creamy and fresh. The sexy roll was eye appealing and filling with Tasty flavors. We also had tempura which was hot, fresh and crunchy. The service was so prompt and friendly. Definitely a place to repeat!

Wow, I was so impressed by this place! The prices are great, the service was wonderful, and the sushi was delicious! We ordered the vegetable tempura, a California roll, a tuna roll, the genki roll, and the sashimi roll - it was all so good and prepared so fast. If you are in Everett and are craving sushi, definitely check this place out! Even on a Friday night, the service was impeccable.

Just discovered this amazing Sushi restaurant on Wednesday night. We were thrilled to discover that every dish was off the charts delicious.....and better than most highly sought after Seattle restaurants. Ken took immaculate care of us. We sampled the Agedashi Tofu, Hawaiian Roll, Sashimi Sampler, Seaweed Salad and the Ramen/Spicy Ahi Roll. Completely blown away by the freshness, cut, flavors and price. The Ramen was one of the best ever, and rivals Samurai Noodle. Our new favorite spot, and it's just around the corner. So amazing!

How does this place have such good reviews?! We just happened to be out in the area and wanted to stop for some delicious sushi! We thought with the awesome rating that this would be a great place to go. Our server rushed us to our seats and tossed down our menus. Our miso soup was luke warm at best. The food did come out quick, but it was nothing great. The rolls were just slapped together, so they were very difficult to get into your mouth without them falling apart. The server only really spoke to us as we were leaving. It wasn't a busy time. Did we come at the wrong time of day or what? The carpet was very stained and the back area was very messy around the soda machine and where they keep the soup. Again, how does this place have almost a 5 star rating?!? That's insane..

Oshima is my new favorite place for sushi. It's nice I have found a spot in Snohomish county for those times when one just isn't in the mood to drive into Seattle for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and I high quality - we had the Tataki roll, deluxe sashimi platter, spicy tuna salad and seaweed salad. The service was very good - our waitress was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean. I'll definitely be adding Oshima to the regular rotation of restaurants that my family and I visit. First of all, the service here is outstanding. A restaurant can have the best food ever, but if their service sucks I will never return. This place has very pleasant waitresses and my dinner came out quickly. I had a Sexy roll at the recommendation of one of the other reviewers. It was good, crab and avocado in the middle with spicy tuna, tempura crunchies, and two sauces in top (spicy aoli and eel sauce?). I liked the Washington roll a bit more. It had good cuts of fresh salmon on top with crab, avocado, and I think cucumber in the middle. I'm typing this from memory, so I can't quite remember every ingredient. When I go back I think I'm going to get the salmon sashimi. That was a great cut of fish. The total bill was $18 for two large rolls (8-10 pieces). I think this is reasonable, especially considering the quality of fish and the excellent service received.

Bad service, bad food. I live near by here, so i make TO GO order on last Saturday. I told them to make my order without cucumber, cus i have alergic with it, and she smiled at me said yes. And when I checked my order at my house, my food was full of cucumber. I was so mad and I called them and they said sorry and make whole new order so bring it back what I got. So i went back, they were waiting for me with rolls without cucumber but not sushi. They told me to bring whole food to change to new order, but they only make the rolls. Two chefs didnt even say sorry to me when i walked in. I experience messed up sushi, horrible service at the same time. VERY IMPRESSTIVE INDEED. If you want to have fresh and good service for your special date, dont go. CHEAP PRICE, CHEAP SERVICE.

This place is the King of Sushi! Ken and Sang know what they are doing almost too well. It's become my regular 3 times a week location for the best sushi in town! Ask them to surprise you with something not on the menu, you won't be disappointed ! Great food, great people, great atmosphere! It's a home run! Love this place!!!

There's a reason this place has so many reviews. That reason is it's awesome. It's actually too good for it's neighbors and a unique find in this area of town. The staff are very nice and the food is amazing. They also have Sapporo by the twenty ounce bottle. What's not to like?

My little group of friends/coworkers has just recently found Oshima and we are loving it! So far we've gotten a lot of rolls, sake sashimi/nigiri, and bento box with chicken teriyaki and it has all been so fresh, delicious and creative--with good prices and friendly service. Our top three favorite rolls so far: Alaska roll--unique blend of flavors, the dressing on top gives it a special kick, I think we are addicted... Eskimo roll--so delicious and a great low-carb option since there isn't any rice in this roll, it is wrapped with white fish. Sexy roll--just yum! If you like Sake/Salmon try the sexy... Plus all the usual variations-rainbow, California, spicy tuna, etc are excellent. There are many more we can't wait to try! I think we're in love...mmmm Oshima!!!

It was just last year when I first started to come here. Let me tell you, I would usually get my sushi from a grocery store like Fred Meyer, but now this is my number one place to go. In other words, this is my place to go whenever I want to sushi cravings. On the other foods, such as the yakisoba, well it wasn't the best I've tried. The yakisoba tasted a bit burned and a little overpriced. Overall, my experience here was mind blowing excellent.

Yelp led me to this hidden gem in a little strip mall along Evergreen Way, and I am so glad I decided to give it a try! After a very long (12 hour) day at work, I decided to treat myself to sushi, so I showed up here just over an hour before they closed. Even coming to the end of their shift, I had excellent service from both the waitress and the sushi chef. Because I had only had a salad all day since around seven in the morning, I may have over-ordered just a bit and had three full rolls of sushi: I tried a Playboy roll, a Dragon roll, and a Lynnwood roll. * Lynnwood roll--generous cuts of tuna sashimi on top. The spicy tuna filling seemed a bit more spicy than I am used to, and I will leave it to the reader to decide if that is a plus or a minus. Probably my least favorite of the three, partly because I always seem to forget I'm not so big on spicy sushi, but also because the salty-vinegary sauce they used to top it (may have been Ponzu?) seemed to overpower everything else except the heat from the spicy tuna in places. I did enjoy it though, especially the interesting dimension that the freshly fried onions added. (If I could order just a pile of those, I would have them every time I visit.) * Playboy roll--I rather liked it, but it may have been just a shade heavy on the cream cheese. I thought the seasoned mayo complemented the salmon topping well, though. I ended up alternating pieces of this with the Lynnwood roll, to get the cream cheese to cut some of the heat from the spicy tuna. * Dragon roll--my favorite of the three, but I do love unagi. It was best when it was first served, as the unagi topping was still warm from the baking process, but there was certainly nothing wrong with the last piece either. Dragon rolls are a classic for a reason. For the quantity, quality, and service I received, the price was fantastic--none of the three rolls (or, as I recall, any other rolls on the menu for that matter) were over $10, not even their 'signature' ones. I expect I'll be back to explore more of the menu soon!

A plus Sushi but lousy service! I have been to the restaurant a couple of times, Friends recommended this restaurant.I had bad experience last Saturday with services overthere.First It was not busy Waitress was slow and two waitresses just standing there chatting, they didn't pay attention to customers and she gave me wrong order and she blamed me I didn't explain clearly, But I like the Sushi here , the flavor and presentation are amazing. I am guessing that waitress is a relative of the owner so she is not afraid of being fired. Bottom line, Sushi there is excellent but make sure you have the right waitress.

I had the Sushi Set B, 8 pieces of assorted sushi, and an 8 piece Rainbow Roll. Fish was good to excellent. Rice was good. The seared albacore with ponzu sauce was very good. The Rainbow Roll was a mixed bag. It is a California roll, with different kinds of sashimi on the outside. Apparently, they can do this by making up several rolls, slicing it up, and using one or more slices to make up the Rainbow. Problem is, you have left over roll pieces until someone else orders the Rainbow. The rice on this one was slightly dry, and some pieces had cucumber, even though I asked for no cucumber. Wish they would have warned me. Next time, I would order the sushi set that comes with the tuna roll. I think that would be made fresh. My wife had the Washington roll, and the roll with baked scallops. Both of these were excellent. The Washington roll was a California roll with salmon on the outside. This was a generous-sized roll, with excellent salmon. This tasted very fresh, and the crab mixture was excellent. The other roll was, again, a California roll, covered with a generous number of delicious scallops, and a great sauce. Highly recommended.

The presentation is amazing. The food is outstanding and fresh. Nice ambiance, and the chefs seem very sweet. But the waitresses ruin everything. I've been there twice, both times my order was incorrect, so when I very politely and apologetically tried to tell them, they just argue and put up a huge wall. You're trying to nicely talk to them and smile and they just act like you're not even there. Nothing is corrected nor even acknowledged. To me, customer service can be more important than the actual product, and it's so bad here, I don't think I'll be back.

When I think of Sushi, I imagine a place like Oshima Sushi. This is a place I would not hesitate recommending to co-workers and friends. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall. Walking in I was quickly greeted and chose to sit at the sushi bar near the chef. Through out my whole visit I was constantly interacted with and it was like going out to a party with friends. The chef and waitresses were very friendly and it was like being on a Japanese game show. They asked questions about me and I asked them lots of questions too. Ken was a great chef to work with. He knows jokes and uses your name once he know it. I asked about his training and his influences. His style is California influenced. I could see him working on the strip at the beach. Innovative and creative. Everything was fresh and very clean tasting. Through out my whole dining experience I had to use very little soy sauce. One thing Ken was able to do- besides make great sushi, he made a dish where I WANTED to use wasabi. Hands down I will be the first to admit I absolutely hate wasabi. I rarely touch the stuff and never bother scooping it out of the container if it is available for use. For a great experience sit at the sushi bar and tell Ken what you like and don't like. He can whip up something that will not disappoint!

Took my wife there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and, because she was pregnant and wasn't able to eat sushi for 9 months, to give her something she's been deprived for so long. We love good sushi. That being said, we love this place. It's close and local, the sushi tasted fresh and oh so good. It's small, but it just adds to the atmosphere. Customer service was good. They were patient and took the time to answer any questions we had as well as describe the different types of sushi. My favorite, and one in which I "test" a sushi place with, is ikura. It's bad if there is a "fishy" taste and smell...but not here...it was good, just that right amount of salt, nice, cold, firm and fresh, not like the trout bait that's been sitting in a tackle box! They even had it in a way I've never had it before, with a quail yolk in the middle so I tried that too....I have a new favorite. BTW, ikura is salmon roe. Anyhoo, if you need a good sushi fix, Oshima is a good and it's local.

This restaurant has the best sushi in the South Everett area hands down! After about 40 visits, it's become my go-to place for fresh, inventive sushi at reasonable prices. I've come to recognize many of the regulars while sitting at the sushi bar, folks who are knowledgeable and appreciative of sushi prepared well. Sang and Peter, the two artists behind the bar, are masters of their culinary craft. My favorite examples of their constructions are the famous 911 roll (not on the printed menu, but available by request) and the Lynwood roll, featuring French-fried onions surrounded by various tasty bites. Each one is totally filling, nothing more required than a carafe of house sake. They have a very tasty hot Korean sauce on their excellent sashimi bowl, their oyster dishes are fresh and delicious, and their sashimi, e.g., hamachi, melts in your mouth. Vivi is a professional, friendly hostess/waitress and is very attentive to her customers. All in all, Oshima is a class act in a strip mall setting, worth seeking out.

We came here because we like the sushi from their other location inside H Mart. This restaurant will not disappoint. $7.95 and $8.95 for bento boxes?! Hello? That's an awesome deal. It comes with miso soup, salad, your choice of meat or salmon, 2 gyoza, rice, and rolls. In addition to delicious food, they play hip music. We love it!

First off the food is always good, which is why I gave 3 stars, took two away because whenever I order take out from this place I get very rude attitude from the ladies ringing me out as if they're pissed I'm not sitting in spending $60 and leaving a tip... I work long and like orders to go, if you're going to be rude to your customers who order take out.. Don't offer take out!!! There are other places around I will try, shame because the food is good but the ladies have been rude to me numerous times... Take a lesson in customer service because after all I'm spending MY MONEY at your business.

Came here with a bunch of friends for a belated birthday. Man, this place is good! I'm so glad that it is so close, because I intend on going there monthly at least. I tried more than I have ever tried at other places, so now I have extended my palate for sushi! I've been to a few Japanese restaurants for sushi or sashimi and this is by far the best! Shout out to my friends who introduced me to this place! I found heaven!

I can't give this place anything less than 4 stars thanks to the excellent fish. But I think the atmosphere misses the mark. The music is way too loud. Again, I have to say the fish selection is top notch. I'll keep coming back.

We came to this restaurant when the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. It has excellent sushi. It was fresh flavorful and well presented. We will definitely be back to this restaurant. We may have found our new favorite place to get sushi. The soft shell crab sushi, also known as a spider roll, was very good. My daughter really enjoyed the rainbow roll. My wife wanted to have a sashimi salad and they custom made exactly what she wanted. Their prices were reasonable . There were five of us and we ate for $83 including tip. Just visited again after 4 months. Hasn't changed at all. Great food. The sexy roll is amazing and still love the spider roll.
