Noppakao Thai Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

On Aug 6 2015, took 3 others here for lunch. The waiter first came to the table with 4 petite lettuce with house dressing. Took our drink orders, brought the drinks, took our picky lunch orders. Their lunch menu was 2 sided, with lots of choices from $8 to $11. I can't remember the 4 Thai named dishes. (Phad ke mao, Lo kne achy, Yum chum hum, and Ohh goode. I think). But the lunches were yummy, the service was good. As we kept that waiter busy. Next time I'm trying the yellow curries.

This is by far our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. We always get the prawn fried rice: lots of big, juicy prawns in there, not the little baby shrimps that a lot of places give you. We also usually get one of the hot-plate fish dishes, and Pad Thai. The portions are pretty generous; we always take home about half our food.

Too expensive. Bought 2 dinners and spring rolls for over $40. Spring rolls had iceberg lettuce which was nearly brown. My dinner was good but I can go somewhere cheaper. The server girl was nice but there was also a guy server who was not as nice. Asked for chop sticks, only brought one.... When we are two people. Idk, I wouldn't waste your money.

Literally the best Thai food my husband & I have had! Delicious! We get take out most times. They are fast & we never have to wait to long.

Best Thai around! I try to get something new every time I go. The Panang Curry is the best IMO. Phad Thai is also fantastic! Get it not spicy or as hot as you like. I usually go for 3 stars and have some spicy peanut sauce on the side so I can increase the heat. The staff are nice and it's a very quiet environment.

Food is good! Took a lil long for the food to come out! The restaurant is really big! Nice and clean! Price is a bit too pricey

Service was excellent and food is very good but definitely on the spicy side. We normally get 4 stars at other Thai restaurants but here the four is very very spicy. However the waiter was great and had the dish remade and it was perfection. Pad Thai is great and the chicken wings with plum sauce were a huge hit with our daughter.

They had great service. They constantly checked for drink refills and satisfaction. The food quality was good but not the greatest. Of course pad Thai is a pretty easy dish to cook but somehow they had over cooked the noodles to the point of being super chewy. So that was no good. So a+ for service but a d+ for food quality.

Delicious food and awesome service. Been coming for years and the staff treats us like family. They are wonderful and food is always delicious. Wonton soup. 5 star. Seafood fried rice and spring rolls. Yummy.

I was in Everett near my aunts house and decided to come here to grab dinner. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. I think there could be better restaurants around the area. Nothing special, but nothing bad either, just your typical thai restaurant. I'd have to say they have better service than most places.

Service 1/10 Food 8/10. I wish the staff and service was as good as the food. The guy that works here is in a constant bad mood. He acts like he is upset people are in his restaurant bothering him?

Food is 7/10 and Service is 2/10 After hearing about this place through friends and relatives, wife and I thought to try it out. After eating at several Thai Rest's locally, through Vancouver Canada and even Middle East, I can say with some experience as to how certain dishes are supposed to taste like. But its certainly not the case here, Thai food is very delicious and this restaurants food is ok at best, and they will tell you that you dont know your Thai food and its very hard to argue that =P Still food isn't all that bad, but the service is terrible. Lack of courtesy and professionalism, honestly. Although I wouldn't mind their food (take-out only) 90% chance that I wont go there again, all because of service. Note: I have heard that a lady with Indian background works there, and when she is around, service is actually pretty decent.

This is one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. Inside is super clean and almost...formal! Sometimes they have live piano music for you to listen to as well. The location is very frustrating, however. Traffic is terrible in this area and the direction I come from at jakes FOREVER.

I went in a couple of days ago to try a new thai food restaurant and man, does it taste good! We ordered phad kee mao with chicken (best way to eat it!) and my stomach was extremely satisfied. It surprised me how good it was since I had never had thai food before. Anyways the service is pretty good, It was pretty busy so it took a little longer than usual but its understandable and the waiters and waitresses were really nice and polife! So all in all just nice people serving up nice thai food.

The service was beyond bad! Took 20 minutes to have our order taken and it wasnt even that busy. My friends meal came and mine was a full 5-7 minutes after that.... WTH... After our meal we visited and caught up, then this waiter guy leans over my water glass to snatch our napkins, the entire rim was in his belly. Then they removed our beer glasses and LOUDLY started slamming dirty dishes at the next table. We wondered..... Did they close at 9? We headed out and the sign on door said close at 10:30 Food was good but experience sucked

My boyfriend had mentioned Noppakao one night when we were on the quest for thai food, and the next day when I was browsing groupon I surprisingly found a 10 for 20 deal going on for this place. We came here during dinner and ordered yellow curry, chicken pad thai, and a thai iced tea. The portions for everything were generous, I think this was the biggest thai iced tea I've ever had at a restaurant - we both happily split it without wishing we had ordered another one. They gave me enough pad thai to have more than enough for lunch the next day as well. Everything tasted great. Something worth noting was our dishes seemed spicier than the typical star system you would recieve at a thai restuarant. I always get 4 stars and my boyfriend always gets 3 stars, and we can handle the heat just fine. I found my dish too spicy, still tasted wonderful, but I had to resort to eating some rice and letting my tea sit in my mouth for a while to cool things off. Next time we'll just order one star down. The decor inside was really pretty. Everything looked clean, and they had a cute sea-shell/fish/tropical sorta theme going on, complete with a fish tank in the middle of the restaurant. The food came out lightning fast, but the service after that was really slow. I'm not sure if it was because we had a groupon or just because they are like that to everyone. It was good for a nice chill dinner, but if you're trying to get out of there fast you might have to track down the waiters.

Crappy service with average food!! I was very disappointed in their service since the server showed attitude and did not know much about the menu. The server kept saying that we need to order soon before the chef gets mad. I found that very inappropriate. We had ONE entire hour to eat, which was more than enough. My food was served completely dry. When asked to make it more flavorful with the Chilli paste(like mentioned on the menu), the server hesitated and rolled their eyes. The food was nothing great. DO not order the Tom yum soup there- ESP with tofu. I couldn't finish it since the tofu smelled like it wasn't fresh. When asked to return the soup, the server bluntly said "we will charge you no matter what". I happily returned it as it was unbearable. NEVER going back there

I am not sure what is with this place. One time the service is great and next time it's horrible. The staff has a problem with smiling. The lady that took my order completely got it wrong. She never came to check on us. Food is really good but service is horrible. The only thing that keeps me going back is the food.

Ive been a customer for years and always forget to review! Best thai food in the area!! I've tried them all and this one is the freshest and love the atmosphere too! Phad thai, potstickers, and panang are our favs! nothing is too greasy either

All I have to say is I'm laying on the couch with my boyfriend because we feel like we're dying and can't get up because why???? ....food poisoning......

We bought a groupon to try it out and it was worth it! We ordered our standard Thai dishes, eggplant with chicken and yellow chicken curry. I ordered the eggplant with chicken to be 4 out of 5 stars for spiciness but it wasn't spicy at all so I think they didn't get the message on that. The curry was good, but not as creamy as I usually like it. Service was good and the decor inside is beautiful! Parking was also easy to get in the private lot with the other little shops.

I eat here at least once a week. THAT is how good it is. They've ruined Cashew Chicken for me at any other establishment. Bar none. Their delicious version is the standard by which all others are judged. What do they put in that sauce? I don't know but I want to be buried in it. The pot stickers are spot on perfect and the Crying Tiger appetizer.....holy cow. Just go already.

It seems the quality of food has deteriorated in the last year. It used to be our favorite place, but we are going back to Thai Bistro after eating here again. The chicken satay was tasteless and dry. We could hardly swallow it. The pineapple in our sweet and sour had gone bad and tasted like alcohol. It's not a good sign when they are letting food sit around for so long that it goes "off". We didn't mention it to each other until we got home. Both of us thought maybe it was just the sauce. But, when we discussed it later, we decided it WAS bad and threw the leftovers away. Service was slow - we waited forever for our appetizer and it came out just about a minute before our meals did despite a half-full restaurant. Thai is a food I go out to get because I'm not good at cooking it myself. But, when I could do better at home, it's a deal-breaker for me. Never again.

  • Jessica B.

Food here is mediocre at best. I have tried many thai restaurants: Sawatdy on Bainbridge Island, Kwanjai in Fremont, and many other places. I ordered pad thai which was sticky in a bad way and the peanut sauce was just bland. I am giving it two stars - one for customer service and one for the thai iced tea.

I'll write more in a bit, I just want to remember that 3 stars is hot enough for my taste buds. - and I LIKE HOT!!!

Tasty Thai food that isn't served in over bloated portions. Servers were formal and nice making it an easier of a decision to leave a larger tip. The dining area seemed cleaner than most Asian restaurants which is a plus if you don't like playing Russian roulette with the chance of getting food poisoning. Anyways, a preferable Thai experience!

This place is one of the decent Thai restaurants in the area. The food is good, but the service is terrible. Except for one employee, the rest act like you're bothering them...

I have already reviewed Noppakao and it remains my favorite Thai restaurant. I'm writing again because I'm so disappointed in my order from my last visit. I am so surprised because the food has always been consistently good here. I ordered the fresh rolls with shrimp. Right from the start I was suprised by the price -- $8.99. I wondered, "Hm, there must be 4 rolls per order?" My order was for carry out and I live about 2-5 minutes drive from there. Got home, opened them up, and there were 3 rolls. THREE dollars each?! Well, if they had tasted fresh, then I may have considered that tolerable, but they in no way tasted fresh nor enjoyable. At Jenny Pho in Issaquah, I can get two of the fresh rolls with shrimp for $4.99 and they are the freshest, most delicious version of this I have ever tasted. Also Jenny Pho serves them with a generous portion of peanut sauce which is also better. I am disappointed in the taste, freshness, and value, and being one of my favorite appetizers, I hope Noppakao will consider my input and look into improving this. The difference in the level of quality and taste between these two places for the same item was enormous.

    (2)
  • Kendall A.

We love this place and go all the time. They are great for eat in or takeout. They have the best peanut sauce in the area in my opinion, and everything else we have eaten there has been consistently good. I am pretty picky about my Thai food, and this place is our go-to.

    (5)
  • Sarah N.

My favorite Thai around! They are a bit spicier then other Thai places. I usually get 4 star and I have to get a 3 there. There cashew chicken and pad Thai is my favorite. I like to go during lunch hours so you get the combo (meat dish with pad Thai) I wish they would have a dinner combo that included the same options.

  • Bella C.

Good food and great service! They're so sweet to my son and don't even bat an eye when he is making a huge mess. (I of course always clean up his messes at restaurants after the meal but I can sometimes sense the death glares from the servers from across the room.) The pad Thai is delicious. The specialty ice cream is good too.

  • Aves M.

Eh is all I have to say. My food was fine, a bit overpriced for the serving size and quality, but it still tasted alright. The service was okay as well, not outstanding nor terrible. The fish tank was the highlight for me! Good location as well at least it's one of the only thai places from snoho to mill creek.

  • Jonathan P.

I like my food spicy! Even my soup. So Noppakao wait staff, please forgive me for asking for hot sauce with my soup. While ordering my soup, I asked for hot sauce. Sadly, no hot sauce is brought to my table with my soup. So I ask again. No luck. Then waitress brings over entrees to my table. I ask AGAIN. She snaps back, "I only have two hands". Then bring the damn hot sauce FIRST, bitch!!!!!!

I've been coming here since it opened because I live just down the street. I have both ordered take-out and also have dined in - never had a bad experience either way! I'm a little picky to Thai food so I generally get the Chicken Thai Fried Rice & it's always delicious and flavorful. However, my fiancé regularly gets the Pad See Ew and swears by it. :)

  • Nicole A.

My husband and I love it here. The food is so yummy, fresh and not greasy at all, like some thai places. The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were perfect. I saw that some complained about small portion sizes, but I do not agree. While I'm a patriot and love America, I think some of us have a problem with portion control :) Our servers, June and Nin were so nice and helpful. We love them! Will be back again very soon! Try the coconut ice cream and the garlic beef! Sooo good.

The pad thai I ordered was very plain. Will recook it at home with more fish sauce.

Sorry not updating for the better ....... So my boyfriend called in at 7:30 for take-out. They said the usual "10 minutes," so we didn't get there till about 7:45. I waited in the car for my boyfriend to get the food which is usually in & out. Nope! Not this time. It was about 8 when my boyfriend came out of the restaurant & he didn't look too pleased. Apparently the lady that took his order over the phone denied ever taking his order & even asked him if he called the right place. They had to make our order on the spot because obviously they "never even took down the order." Got the 4 star Chicken Thai Fried Rice & Chicken Pad See Ew. Everything tasted fine, nothing to rave about. Just sayin'. A little iffy in calling in for take-out now =/

Called to make a reservation, mentioning that I had a Groupon, and the man who answered was rude and short with me. Not planning on coming back, which is a shame because the food tasted good.

My husband, daughter and I went here for dinner. The wait wasn't bad. First we were seated at a dirty booth with food on both bench seats. We wiped them as we sat down. We ordered the BBQ chicken which by the photo on the menu looked very appetizing. Unfortunately what we got didn't resemble the menu photo at all. It mostly resembled a BBQ Cornish hen, was dry and over cooked. This dish was brought out to the table with our rice. The waitress walks away and DOES NOT return with our other dish or the sauces that typically come with the order. We finally get her attention and remind her of our other dish. She leaves and 15 minutes later and after we have eaten half our dinner and reminded her several times she finally brings out our other dish. Her explaination is that the kitchen is busy. They came to the table twice. Very poor service, small portions and we won't be back.

Love this place. Their Thai is good & not greasy like other Thai restaurants' food is. Only issue for me is when I call an order to be picked up & you show up at the time they tell you & they say it will be another 20 minutes. It's happened numerous times & I wish that would change. Otherwise great food.

Nappakao is easily my favorite Thai restaurant. The food here is great, and I always have enough for lunch the next day. No matter what I get here I always get a side bowl of their peanut sauce, it's some of the best I've had and I could put it on anything. Ambiance is nice and the service is always good. We've never been disappointed here

My boyfriend and I went here Friday night for dinner after being too lazy too cook at home, and haven't been able to go out in a while, so we checked out Groupon, and found a deal $20 for $40 of food, sounds awesome right? The vouchers in my cart came separately, and the waitress told me I could only use 1 coupon, even though two of us were there. So that was a little irritating. The AWESOME part was our waiter, I wish I could remember his name, but he was fabulous, my boyfriend decided to be adventurous, which was awesome, and I talked him into going to Thai, even though he is very picky about his foods, we went anyway. He ordered Sake, not knowing what it is, or how to drink it, he asked our waiter, the waiter was telling us stories about him drinking sake with his friends, and how it is traditionally done, and even brought him a glass of beer to drink it the traditionally way! That was awesome, and such a great time. Much to say, I really enjoyed my time there, and so did my boyfriend. Thank you to to awesome staff to make a first experience a great one! :)

Tonight I went to Noppakao in Everett to place a to go order. Over the last few years, I often order the crab delight to go along with fresh prawn spring rolls. For some reason tonight I thought to ask the hostess if they really only use fresh crab as the menu description indicates "Deep-fried won-ton wrap stuffed with fresh crab meat and cream cheese, served with sweet and spicy plum sauce." She said she thought it was mixed. I didn't understand what that meant so she went to get the manager to explain to me. I re-asked him if they use fresh crab meat in their crab delight per the menu description. He said no- they mix imitation crab meat along with real crab meat. I said I thought that is misleading to customers since the menu does not say they mix it- it's very clear that it says "stuffed with fresh crab meat and cream cheese". Then he gave me a sly creepy knowing smile and said it's fine because the menu doesn't specify that they don't use imitation crab meat. I said I disagree and think it's misleading and they should change the description. This was all calm and we were having a discussion, but then he quickly got angry and yelled at me that I was trying to pick a fight. I said no I'm not, I've been ordering here for years and had no idea they use fake crab meat and if this is the attitude he has right now about our chat then I'm never coming back here. He stormed away from me, I asked to speak to the owner- he said he was the manager, I said I know, but I want to speak to the owner about his attitude and yelling and I asked his name. He said his name was Paul. They really need to change to the description to say "stuffed with imitation and fresh crab meat and cream cheese". Many people do not want eat imitation crab for various reasons and they are misleading them. If someone is allergic to imitation crab (I know people who are), they could be sued because the description is wrong. Paul (the manager) needs to take some customer service classes and possibly some anger management classes in order to keep being a manager at a restaurant whose primary business is customer service. The way he suddenly got angry and stormed off was totally alarming and inappropriate. His response to our discussion should have simply been "I understand your concerns and I will talk to the owner about it". That would have made me happy and I would have ordered my dinner there that night. I wouldn't have ordered the crab delight, but I would have ordered the fresh prawn rolls and something else and I would have come back as a customer again as I have for years. Because of his aggressive reaction, I unfortunately will not be returning as a customer and am sharing this awful experience with my friend, family, neighbors, coworkers, Yelp, Facebook, the Better Business Bureau and the Snohomish County Health Department. UPDATED: the "restaurant management" answered my BBC complaint that they will stop using imitation crab meat in the crab delight. So I am hoping they will do so!

We love this place and we do take-out on a regular basis. I am very happy with the variety of tofu dishes/options they provide, and their curry is flavorful and can get quite spicy if you like. I'm not a pad thai person myself, but husband is and he loves their pad thai. Also you can't go here and not get their thai iced tea!! Note: Often they send out 15% off coupons in the valupaks in our area and sometimes there are coupons on their site.

My husband and I loooove Noppakao. We won't go anywhere else for Thai food! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful fish tank in the middle of the seating and live piano music on weekends, which makes it feel more special when going out for dinner. Even when ordering for pickup they are the fastest I've experienced. Best of all is their delicious food! Favorite dishes: Chicken Satay (appetizer), Phad See Ew (w/ beef or chicken), Garnet Sweet and Sour (w/ chicken), Panang Curry (w/ chicken), Fried Banana w/ Coconut Ice Cream. Garlic Pork Ribs are also pretty good. The only dish I tried that wasn't a impressed with was the Garlic Delight which came recommended by a server, but for me it didn't have a very flavorful sauce, unlike their other entrees which have a lot of depth and flavor. Overall, you won't you be disappointed!

This is THE best Thai place I have been to and everyone I've taken here agrees. My favorites to get are their yellow curry and pineapple fried rice. It's always great, I'd eat here every day of I could!

I came here at lunch time because I had a groupon. The decor and ambiance are very nice. I was seated promptly and the service was swift and friendly. They only gave me a limited lunch menu, which was ok, but I was curious to know of other options that may be available. The food was tasty & hot, I would recommend this place if you are in the area & looking for good Thai food.

We are about to give a gift certificate for lunch to a friend of ours and I decided to check the recent Yelp Reviews as I know our friend will check them out. I was shocked to see some of the reviews in the last few months. We have been to Noppakao countless times and with the exception of one time, we've always had GREAT service and EXCELLENT food. We've had everything from the garlic pork to sweet and sour pork, specialty fish dishes, cat's eye showeing rama, curries, ginger garden and much more and loved everything. The peanut sauce is a good consistency and flavor. One of my favorites is the Noppakao Fried Rice....with a side order of peanut sauce Their Thai Iced tea was full flavored and delicious. We recently went to the Racha Thai in Woodinville and were disappointed in the flavorless rice dishes and soupy peanut sauce with bland flavor..and the Thai iced tea was watered down. We decided then and there that we've been spoiled by Noppakao and Racha Thai just didn't measure up to their previous standards. We'll be going to Noppakao soon and if we find something different, I'll be writing again.

Call me a food snob or whatever but I was really anticipating this place to be bland and flavorless. But I was pleasantly surprised and definitely put in my place when I came here. I order my usual phad see eww with 5 stars and it came out hot and spicy just how I liked it. Their curry dish was very flavorful as well and the taste was authentic. I was happy with the service as well, they filled up our waters continuously and checked in on us frequently but not to often that it was bothersome. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the Snohomish area looking for some real great Thai food.

I had been to the Noppakao in Kirkland a couple of years ago so knew to expect good food since I was told they are owned by the same people. This time I was with my two children (ages 14 and 11) so we ordered things they like that aren't what I would necessarily order if I were with adults (they are a bit less adventuresome with textures and flavors). We ordered the fresh rolls with shrimp which were very typical. They were fresh, pretty, and abundant (there were 3 of them cut in half, so 6 pieces). We didn't care for the dipping sauce -- from what I could tell, it was sweet and sour sauce from a jar topped with ground peanuts. But we ordered satay, too, so we just dipped the rolls into the peanut sauce that came with the satay, and that worked fine. We ordered the Tom Kha soup. The broth was a good flavor and we didn't order it spicy because of the preferences of my dining partners, but I felt it was really missing some key elements. We found the lemon grass and the chicken and mushrooms, but there seemed to be no lime leaves and the mushrooms were just simple small button mushrooms sliced in quarters, nothing special or deeply flavorful about them. And there was maybe one or two little pieces of cilantro. It was just mostly broth and chicken. We also ordered the Phad Woon Sen which is supposed to have "stir-fried bean thread noodles with mushrooms, cabbage, egg, tomato, pineapples, green onion, bean sprouts, and chopped celery". It was mostly noodles and chicken. There was probably 10 chunks of pineapple, a few pieces of celery and cabbage, about 7 bean sprouts, no green onion, no mushrooms, and one 1/2" wedge of tomato. It was good, but it wasn't what I was expecting having had this dish at other Thai restaurants. AND, I'd ordered it with seafood but it arrived at the table with chicken instead. I didn't have the heart to send it back because we were hungry, but I probably should have. Aside from all that, our service was excellent. The restaurant wasn't crowded, so I guess good service can be expected, but our water glasses were filled promptly, our food was served all at once and fresh, and the dining room is tastefully decorated. We enjoyed watching the saltwater fish in the tank. The staff was very friendly. The location is a bit odd. It is in a small shopping center with an oddly-shaped parking lot and we had some trouble finding the lot entrance from the 5-lane road that runs in front (had to turn around at a light which added to our travel time). Finally, we tried this restaurant because we had a Groupon. It was a good deal financially but I wonder if we got a little skimped on the food because of it (I'd hate to think that!). I would try it again and maybe order some other things to give it a second shot and maybe spice it up a little. I have two other local Thai places I like better (Thai Bistro and Siam), so I'm not sure if I will be back.

    (3)
  • Ted B.

Wow, those was great. Pud Thai and several other dishes. Not quite as good as Lanna Thai, my favorite, but very close to my house. The parking lot is a little hard to get in and out of.

Two strikes, you are out. Have frequented this place several times as it is so close to home. Had great success as the previous restaurant, but have experienced poor service with the new owner. Food is okay, not the best, but not the worst. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Have been turned away even though they were technically opened, but was close to closing time. Tonight, ordered to go, but had a drink while we waited...for over an hour..for our food. Not much apology or need to make things right. We will take our business to Thai rhapsody or Thai Bistro.

It was my first time there and our waiter did not seem very welcoming at all. The service was not commendable at all! Our waiter sat us down and asked immediately what we wanted to eat, not even asking us if we wanted anything to drink. As I was skimming the menu, I noticed the prices of some of the things and I really think they need to re-evaluate some of their prices! Some things, such as the appetizers, the Thai tea, and the desserts were overpriced. Anyways, our waiter came back a few minutes later when we were ready. He didn't even write anything down so I was nervous for our food, scared that he would screw something up, but I was wrong. We had started off with chicken wings. They were okay but I could've made these at home for cheaper. My boyfriend order the Tofu Yellow Sapphire Curry and I had ordered the Tofu Phad Thai. Though both items were huge portions, they just tasted okay. Personally, I've had better and I don't think I'd come here again.

We truly love this Thai gem in Everett. The menu choices are plentiful and delicious. The staff is courteous and professional. Service is quick and with a smile. You can't go wrong with any of the noodle dishes or the curries which are my favorite. And definitely have the coconut ice cream for dessert.

Me and my boyfriend love this place. We always receive the best service, though we usually order to go. Service can be very slow if you dine in and the waitresses tend to not be super attentive with refilling drinks and bringing the check etc. also, their spiciness tends to be extremely inconsistent. Sometimes ill order a 3 star and it will be so spicy I can't eat it and sometimes it will not be spicy at all. So minus a star for those two things. Nick is also the best! Try their see rah cha with chicken.. Delicious.

Fantastic Thai restaurant close to 128th and Seattle Hill Road. The wait staff is very attentive and I've always had excellent service. The food is reasonably priced and some of my faves include the Ruby Red Curry or Diamond Knot Cashew Chicken. The decor is great and has a nice fish tank that the kids love to look at. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if ever up in the Everett/Mill Creek area. Keep up the great work.

I've eaten at this restaurant many times. I share a bad experience where I feel I've been overcharged, and now Yelp buries my review, and it's "not recommended"? I reviewed another restaurant where the manager was writing his own reviews...I brought it to Yelp's attention and 'I'm' the one who can't be trusted? Looks like Yelp's automated software needs a little tweaking.

I moved to a house 3 minutes away 7 years ago and this place is awesome. I have had a lot of the menu items which on time to time tend to differ in the level of spicy most liking due to who is cooking but I tend to eat all of it anyways :) there is only a few other Thai restaurants I like compared to this one in the greater Seattle area I'm lucky to have it close and to do take out all the time!

I love this place. It's tasty and they're usually pretty fast about things. Service: The service is quick when it comes to getting your water refilled too! haha..one of the fewww problems I have here though is....how the heck do you pay?? I've been here several times and each time is a little different..sometimes I go up, sometimes I wait..and wait....and they pass by a billion times....and eventually..they'll get to it haha I gotta figure this one out.... In terms of food....Sooo good! each plate will easily serve 2 ppl too (at least..in my opinion...). Whenever I go, we always order the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Yellow Curry...and darn..did it taste marvelous. We got the Oyster Sauce Delight this past time too, and the meat is super tender and flavorful =) As for food issues...the only one I have is here is the inconsistencies with the spiciness... I can usually stand 3 or 4 stars with no issues, but man...one time I was there... I made sure I ordered 2 stars for everything since I was in a huge group and not everyone could handle spiciness..but holy moly! it was the spiciest plate ever!! and this last time I went... we ordered all plates with no spiciness at all..yet...the yellow curry was definitely 3 star-level...which prevented ppl from eating...but I guess...more food for me? haha... Anyway! we got dessert too! The Fried Banana w/ Ice Cream and the Sticky Rice with Mango is to die for...you have to try it... (I've posted photos for all the plates...check em out! ) The price for 3 dishes, 2 desserts and 1 soda cost us $51 before tip. Not too bad for 4 ppl. Overall, great tasting and it's even better since it's close to home for me haha . Oh! and if you go on a good day, they have someone there that plays live piano, and they generally play songs that people will recognize =)

Definitely the best Thai food I have found so far in and around Everett. The Pineapple Fried Rice is wonderful. The Massaman Curry is another wonderful dish. We continue to go back, and its often as my wife craves Thai and my little girl loves fried rice.

Wow, I was very pleasantly surprised. I stopped in here to pick up dinner and I couldn't believe, first of all, how quickly they filled my order and second of all, how delicious all the food was. We had the massaman curry with tofu and it was really tasty. Lots of good flavor. We loved it and will definitely be back on the nights we don't feel like cooking.

I'm sad to give this restaurant one star, it use to be my favorite Thai restaurant in the Mill Creek area. But the last 3 times I have gone there/picked up takeout I have received under cooked noodles, the wrong order, or items in my food that I asked to be removed or missing things I asked to be added. It use to be the best, but it really has gone down hill in the past few months. I wont be going back and now looking for a new Thai restaurant in the area.

Don't eat here or order takeout. When they make a mistake because of a misunderstanding on their part, they are more concerned with being right than correcting the order. There is a theme here if poor service and lacking quality if customer service. Read through the posts. restaurants are a service industry, they need to re-evaluate their practices. I will not return, I would rather go to Thai Rhapsody at town center. It is a shame because their food is alright.

papaya salad-was not impressed. Salad was not mixed well and more on the sweet side. pad see ew and pad kee Mao-Both tasted like they should so not bad and not great. Lastly we ordered the fresh rolls. I thought the rolls were fresh with no real flavor & dip wasn't good at all. service was also not good. Took them a while to get our order, threw the food on the table without asking if we needed anything else or any type of communication. Go to Thai bistro in Millcreek!

Had eaten at the previous named Andaman a few times, which was terrible slow even in empty situations. I think that they merged/partnered or were bought by the Kirkland Noppakao owners. The service has gotten much better both quick and courteous. That atmosphere is nice, sometimes live piano in evenings, large saltwater fish tank in the center with an eel hiding at the bottom. I rate 3 stars, the food is pretty good, but the curries seem to be a little less flavorful and certainly less spicy then some of my other favorite Thai food spots. The fresh rolls are excellent though, I do recommend them if you like fresh salads. Prices are average to above average but they usually have 15% coupon in the local mailers or I think even on their website at hellothaifood.com . So don't forget to print your coupon!

I've tried many Thai restaurants -- but this is probably one of my favorites. Easy parking. Great service. Decent prices. Large menu. Delicious food. The Pineapple fried rice -- with bits and pieces of cashews and raisins in it -- was absolutely delicious. The noodle in the phad see-ew was perfectly cooked. The yellow curry was well spiced and well balanced (not too salty, not too spicy) . 3 dishes were enough to feed 4 people --we even had leftovers to bring home! To end the night, we tried the fried banana with coconut ice cream -- as recommended by Jfo L. The shredded coconut/tapioca flour - coated - baby - bananas came out warm & crunchy, and the ice cream had just the right amount of coconut flavoring in it. Thumbs up. I'll drive here from Renton if I have to.

This place probably has the best thai food I've had in a long while, especially on this side of town (Snohomish, Mill Creek, Everett). Upon entering, it's open & spacious with high ceilings and elegantly decorated. The dark colored woods give it a royal feel and the seating is quite comfy! The lunch combo deals are a STEAL!!! The service was quick and courteous with constant re-pouring of my table's ice waters. The menu has so many dishes, some I haven't even seen at other thai restaurants! The thai tea was tasty as were the stir fry wide noodles/pad thai! The spice and flavors were spot on! The food is also presented beautifully as well! The price and portions were just right and the quality superb. At the end of the meal, they serve you a mini scoop of ice cream (on a soup spoon) to cleanse your palate and end it on a good note! =)

Some co-workers and I were hungry at 11:15- a bit on the early side. We stopped by here. The atmosphere is amazing for the location. We all ordered lunch specials- they arrived AMAZINGLY quick. We ate, then we left. Basic quick lunch. My co-workers would have wanted to sit facing the TV but we chose not to and did discuss work as needed. Good, not the best but good for the location and expense.

As far as thai goes it is good. I got Pad Kee Mao and Thai Tea for lunch. The flavor was pretty decent, just the right amount of spice the chicken was done perfectly. The price is what I consider fair for a lunch special of thai food. The service was fast and friendly. The only reason I left 1 star off was that my noodles were slightly overcooked and fell apart before I could dig a fork in to it, the broccoli was slightly crunchier than I like and the tomato was slightly overcooked. I also like a little more veggies in mine than came, but overall better than "average" Thai. I will return and try something else in the near future. Oh, I almost forgot, the restrooms are neat, clean and themed.

Living between Snohomish and Mill Creek my husband and I often have friends from out of town but like "keeping to the neighborhood" rather than driving to downtown Seattle for a great meal. We've discovered several restaurants in Mill Creek, Snohomish, and Everett that make staying close easy while making dining out a delight. One is these is the Nappakao Thai Restaurant that sits at the intersection of 132nd Street SE and Seattle Hill Road, about a mile west of the new Glacier Peak High School on Cathcart which changes its name to 132nd Street. Tucked in to a new corner complex just behind a Starbucks the Nappakao may surprise you as you walk in and discover its very modern upscale ultra-contemporary décor. You'll see a mini-grand piano, a very long sea water aquarium, dramatic lighting and overhead tiered ceilings, and a smiling crew that are well dressed and ready to please. Pricing is about 20% higher than many Thai restaurants but the quality, atmosphere, portion size, and service offset the bill tab and the Nappakao often runs on-line special coupons for 15% off your total bill with a minimum $10 purchase --- though the coupons aren't available for take-outs. While the menu, wine list, and even desert options are extensive my favorite encouragement for guests is Nappakao's Drunken Noodle, traditionally known as Pad Kee Mao and or Pad Ki Mao. It's a dish virtually everyone can find appealing and is customized with a choice of chicken, beef, or shrimp. Created using a variety of broad flat noodles heavily covered with a meat and vegetable toppings, Thai restaurants all seem to make Drunken Noodle differently. The Nappakao has settled on hitting all the right ratios in its versions and using just the right flavor and size with its broad noodles. As not all guests are prepared for a "spicy hot" meal the Nappakao chefs can prepare it with a mild (level 0) base to a truly "water your eyes" level 5 --- a level 5 at the Nappakao may be equal to a level 7 anywhere else! Their level "3" is the most popular choice and a level 4 is still a courageous undertaking for many. No matter which type of meat option you select the succulent pieces are nicely seasoned, sizeable in quantity, and well mixed with freshly prepared vegetables and served hot and steaming over a bed well-timed cooked noodles. Out of Towners won't leave and remember a traditional Thai restaurant --- they'll more likely remember the modern contemporary décor, delightful service, and mouth watering seasonings. And right in the Cathcart / Mill Creek neighborhood!

Yum, yum, and more yum! This is our go-to Thai spot. Their phad see iw is awesome, as is their fried rice. My kids love their food, and they're not big Thai food fans. Nice ambiance, and fortunately, we have been there on slower nights (or times) and have practically had the restaurant to ourselves. The staff is also very friendly.

Excellent pad thai, one of my favorite in the area (and I have tried almost all of them). Spiciness was spot-on for three stars. My friend ordered the Blue Sapphire Basil with chicken which was served with plenty of vegetables over a delicious tangy garlic sauce. Service was very fast for a relatively busy Sunday night and the atmosphere was nicer than most Thai restaurants I've been to. Will definitely be making a return visit.

It seems like all the new Thai restaurants in the South Everett/Mill Creek area are BEAUTIFUL inside. Andaman is not exception. They have a sea theme and the atmosphere is lovely. The food is very good, but you have to know what to order. Stay away from the Honey Rack (funny name, bad dish) and the garlic prawns. Stick with the noodle dishes. Yum! We also had some sort of trout dish there that was delicious! Not the world's best Thai, but it gets extra points for the atmosphere and for being about 5 minutes from my home out in the sticks!

As a connoisseur of all foods Asian this has become my favorite place to eat lately. Living in Snohomish doesnn't afford you many options when it comes to Thai food, so when a Andaman opened I had my sights set pretty low. I figured hell, at least I can add greasy phad thai to my choices. I was pleasantly surprised the moment I walked in. The place is nicely decorated (well, except for the plastic palm trees) and the staff is very friendly. We have never had a bad meal there, and all of the seafood dishes are awesome. We used to drive to Fremont or downtown to enjoy good Thai, and now we have one of the best Thai places I have ever had a mile from our house!

I have a new favorite restaurant. I've never been a fan of Thai food, but truly enjoyed our experience at Noppakao and plan to be back soon. The decor was lovely, colorful, and modern. The entire restaurant very clean, and the waitstaff truly seemed to care about your dining experience. We were seated next to the enormous saltwater tank and enjoyed the relaxing ambiance (and entertainment) that the fish provided. I had the roast duck curry with jasmine rice, two stars on the spicy scale, and Jaime got the Panang Curry with brown rice, his favorite, with four stars. We both thought there was tremendous depth of flavor in both dishes, and the presentation was lovely. The roast duck was wonderfully tender; this meal took comfort food to a whole new level. Our meal arrived quickly, and we were served and finished eating long before we expected. There was great variety in the menu and our server did not hesitate to make suggestions, which I appreciated. This was a wonderful experience, we will be back, and can't wait!

Andaman recently opened up (December of 2007) in the Osborne Square shopping center. We've visted a few times now for take-out and have yet to enjoy a meal in the beautiful dining room. The food is great, we've had the pad thai, pad see ew, and the red curry so far and it's great. Compared to other thai restaurants Andaman puts a lot more in their curry (more bamboo shoots and peppers) than other restaurants. The pad thai and pad see ew are also wonderful.

As a fan of the former occupant of this building, Andaman, I was skeptical. Apparently, they just merged with a family friend and changed the menu slightly. Same cook, same great food and better service. I got a 4 out of 5 star spicy rating and it was crazy hot! It was a good hot though. Usually if I get 4 stars, they don't take me seriously. If you like Thai food, give it a try!

Now I have a Noppakao just down the street from me! It replaces the Andaman Thai Restaurant...but the question is, did they just change the sign or will it be just as good as the one in Kirkland. You know what? It's just as good as the one in Kirkland. They kind of rearranged the inside seating from when it was Andaman, but service is much better than it was when it was Andaman Thai Restaurant (more attentive and friendly), the menu is the same as other Noppakao. That being said we order our usual stuff: Phad Thai, a couple of Thai Ice Teas, I had the Garlic pork ribs (my usual at Noppakao) and my wife get's the Green Curry (her usual at Noppakao). The meals didn't dissapoint. Damn good food! A BIG TIME improvement over Andaman's "Honey Rack". The ribs were full of flavor and meaty! The Phad Thai, yummy! and the curry...I mean hard to screw up really, but good and spicey. They gave us a good portion of rice which didn't cost extra because it came with the meals, and Thai Ice teas...tasty. We had at least three different people stop by to check up on us, fill our waters and asked 'bout the meal...good and attentive! It was only our first visit to this Noppakao, but so far they've got consistency going for them. It's almost dangerous that they are so close. We're going back fer sure!

Love their chicken paid thai, the noodles are cooked to the perfect firmness. Their mint basil salad dressing is excellent too! Very fast and friendly service! My order always comes in a jiffy!

(NOTE: it seems like there's two different entries for Noppakao here on Yelp, but I get the feeling that the other one was originally for Andaman, but they changed the name to reflect the new occupants...so I'm posting my review here.) I never got to try the previous occupant, Andaman, but decided to give Noppakao a try the other night, lured in by the 15% off coupon that they send out occasionally in the local circulars (and also have on their website for you to print out). The restaurant is decorated nicely, with dark woods and colors to impart a tropical feel to the interior. There's a large saltwater fish tank in the middle of the dining area, which my toddler son enjoyed as he watched "Nemo" swim around. The only thing detracting from the ambiance is that there are a couple of TV screens placed around the restaurant...then again, this is kinda typical in a lot of asian restaurants. They also had a kid playing the piano for some live background music. He wasn't bad...played a mix of modern and older pop songs. I was actually surprised at some of the older songs he played, since he looked kinda young to know them. As we usually do when we first try a place, we ordered a variety of food to get an idea of different "corners" of the menu and decide if it's a place we'd like to revisit later. For this visit, we ordered won ton soup, papaya salad, beef pad see-ew, pork basil fried rice, thai bbq chicken, and spicy eggplant with chicken. We were also given a big bowl of steamed rice, which was included with the bbq chicken and eggplant entrees. As someone who's had his fair share of Thai food in a variety of cities & states, I can't say that I was terribly impressed with the food at Noppakao, and when factoring in the price, I actually came out disappointed. The food came to us nicely presented and garnished, but that's about where the appeal ended. The won ton soup consisted of a simple broth, some bok choy, and what appeared to be store-bought dumplings, not actual won tons. Granted, won ton soup is more of a Chinese dish than a Thai one, but processed dumplings (not even won tons!) gets you a lower rating. If anything, name it "dumpling soup," so I know what to expect. The papaya salad was drowning in dressing, so the taste of the papaya was overpowered by the fish sauce dressing. The spicy eggplant was undercooked (so the eggplant was still very hard...boo!) and the sauce was on the salty side. The Thai BBQ chicken (actually, a Cornish game hen) was oddly flavored and not very deeply marinated. The Thai sweet chili sauce (just like you'd find in the bottle at your local Asian store) that they served to accompany it didn't do much to salvage the chicken, and this was perhaps the most disappointing of our dishes. The beef pad see-ew was alright...which is to say that at least it wasn't as bad as the previously mentioned dishes...but at the same time, wasn't anything special. The basil fried rice was actually decent and had just the right amount of basil to not overpower the rest of the flavors. I didn't get any of the dishes made particularly spicy, since the people and kids I was with couldn't really take very spicy food, but at the same time, this also helped make sure that we tasted the food for what it was and not have any of it hide behind a lot of heat. The service itself was very friendly, if a bit slow at times, considering that they weren't crowded or busy at all (we went on a weeknight). All things considered, I think I got a good enough idea from the variety of dishes we ordered to not really be inclined to visit here for dinner anytime soon. With the dishes we ordered being in the $8-$12 range (for an off-the-track strip mall location that also houses a Little Caesar's and their $5 pizzas and a $1 DVD rental self-service shop!) and us not being particularly satisfied with them, we don't feel like Noppakao will become a frequent stop of ours. They did have a banner outside advertising ~$6 lunch specials, so that seems more reasonable considering the quality of the food. So 2 stars for "Meh. I've experienced better" food and an extra star thrown in for the decor, live piano, and friendly service.

For startes I typically don't like Thai food. My husband and our friends dragged me here and to my surprise the inside was beautiful and comfortable. I was so nervous on what to orders since I don't handle spicy food so well. I asked the waitress what she reconmmended and for me she said Pad Thai. I wasn't expecting much, but it was delicious! My friends who are advid Thai fans and have been looking for their new favorite spot stated that this was it. They live in Edmonds and drove the 20 min to get her and plan to make it there regular spot. One friend said that the red curry was one of the best he's had in awhile. Come check it out, its fantastic even for a picky eater like me!

Food was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food took a long time to get served (odd since there was only one other party there). A little high priced, but the meats/shrimp were quality so OK.

We first ate here when it was Andamans. We were nervous about it, but tried it and LOVED it. Now as Noppakao, it it still very good. We dine in rarely but the service has been good. The food is very good. We usually get the Tom Kah soup w/chicken, the green curry with eggplant, and of course Pad Thai. We've tried a quite a number of dishes and have never been disappointed except when there was nothing left on the plate.

Noppakao is a very good Thai place shimmed into a crowded little suburban strip mall. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very clam and pleasant. My kid loves the huge fish tank. Noppakao can be a little pricey for dinners, but their lunch special is inline with other restaurants in the area.

    (4)
  • jessica q.

A bit overpriced...especially since they charge extra for beef. Most places charge extra for only the seafood, but this place does both. Their phad Thai isn't the best, their pad see is good though. I always get takeout but the atmosphere is probably more of a reason to dine here than the food, it's beautiful. But I suggest giving this place a try at least once.

At first, I was sad to see Andaman no longer in business. However, we decided to give Noppakao a try, and it did not disappoint. The interior is nicely decorated, and there was a live pianist playing. Our entrees were very good, and the service was excellent. We'll definitely visit Noppakao again.
