My boyfriend and I wanted to go to lunch with a friend. We decided on Indian food. Since we all live in Everett we thought we would try out the Curry Bistro in Downtown. We arrived and immediately felt unwelcome. We didn't want the buffet and they were trying to force it on us. They didn't want to give us a menu when we said we just wanted some lunch. They made a big deal about how their lunch was to go. There was NOBODY else inside the restaurant so why did it matter if we ate inside?? We left after about 30 seconds of feeling awkward and decided to go down the street for some pizza. Will never go there ever again.

Seems like we ate at the Curry Bistro in a different universe than some of the other reviewers. We did go for dinner and it seems most of the other reviewers went at lunch. The service was great. Really. Very friendly, helpful, warm. The food was was inspiring. We had two apps, two entrees and a basket of naan. When I ordered the shrimp vindaloo the waiter asked with a smile "hot or Indian hot?", seems there is no medium or mild. I went with just plain hot. Cleared my sinuses. We also got a BBQ chicken dish (tikka, but the BBQ variety, not the curry) that was divine, truly not of this earth good. I've eaten at a number of Indian restaurants and this was one of the best. Every dish down to the chutneys were great, combined with a friendly staff. We'll definitely be back. Dinner for two with enough leftovers for lunch the next day was just over $50.

I've been to Curry Bistro a few times now and had similar experiences with the staff. On my first visit (dinner), I attempted to order the Mixed Tandoori Grill but was told it was "not possible". On a lunch visit I was pressured by the staff to have the buffet, which was sub par. Most recently the waiter tried to dissuade me from ordering the dishes I wanted, saying it was too much food. He relented when I explained I was ordering extra on purpose so I could bring some home. The service is somewhat erratic: sometimes you get water sometimes you don't, ordering a drink can take 30 seconds or 5 minutes, getting the check can take 10, or 20... The curries are good 3-4 stars, the Chicken Tikka Masala a solid 4 stars. Their achilles heel is the Tandoor meats. I've had the chicken and lamb. They were both seasoned nicely but overcooked. The chicken slighlty, the lamb considerably so to the point of being extremely dry and tough. A 12oz beer is $5. Seriously?

The first time I went to Curry Bistro there were so many flies, I pretended I was looking for a different address so I could leave. Damn, I love Indian food and really wanted some. The second time I went I took my husband, I figured I could look into those big brown eyes and ignore the flies. We ordered a bottle of wine, and that seemed to send shock waves through our server who wanted to know if we were going to drink the whole thing our selves. The many obviously didn't know who he was dealing with. The first bottle was for the appitizer! Anyway I wanted hummus and my husband didn't so we got hummus. It was out of this world, the best hummus I have ever had. I had to beat my husband off with a big stick, he decided he loved all the garlic in the hummus. It was good, reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaal good. We asked for some assistance while ordering, and we were ignored, and I am hard to ignore, especially with an empty botlle of wine in front of me. I ended up ordering the items I usually have at the Clay Oven in Monroe. This food was okay. I was hoping to avoid the hell drive to Monroe by having a special little Indian joint CTH (close to home), but I am sorry Curry Bistro you are not going to make the cut. We were told they had owned an Indian restaurant in South Everett on 128th and had just moved to this location. I knew they were new because like Pavlov's dogs, I had been drewling at the sign for 6 months before they opened. The service was just okay, they seemed very friendly, the food was marginal and there was something uncomfortable about the place. I did not feel the love. If I go back it will be for a hummus fix and wine.

Fantastic food, lamb tikka masala and chicken tikka masala are right on point and keep me coming back again and again. The owner of this establishment, Lucky is very kind!

If their curry is as good as their Caesar salad, tomato soup and cauliflower prantha you are in for a treat. I like their tomato soup and much as much own, just the right amount of spice. Very satisfied and looking forward to my next visit.

Don't let the location fool you; this is a great place to eat. I was really skeptical when I drove up, but the inside is clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious.

Awesome food. Very friendly staff, family run. Very helpful in recommending new items to us on the menu. We loved it, we will definitely be back. Only draw back, portions are a bit small, and are $8-12 each. Nevertheless they are delicious.

I had high expectations going to this place since the majority of the reviews are great and I LOOOOVE Indian food, and after reading the reviews I was especially craving it. The restaurant itself is fairly small, but that didn't bother me, its a cute little café but I could see how it might get crowded on busy weekend nights. The service was SLIGHTLY slow and not incredibly friendly....I almost felt bothersome when we first got there but it did get a little better towards the end of our meal. My mom ordered the Vegetable Biryani which was good! Very flavorful and she ordered it mild. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala, mild as well. This was my main disappointment of the meal. I've eaten this dish at many different Indian food restaurants and this was the least flavorful Tikka Masala I have had. The paneer was PRETTY good but the Masala just didn't have that burst of flavor and spices. I understand I ordered it mild but that's generally how I order it at any restaurant and this was the most bland I have ever had. It wasn't terrible, in fact I ate it all, but I have definitely had better. We also had a side of Garlic Naan, while it was good it had a TON of butter on it, which I had also not had before from other Indian places. All in all this place was OK, I'm not ruling it out and will give it another try in the future!!

  • Jim J.

The food is sooooo yummy! Very authentic (I've been to India) and nicely prepared. I had the buttered chicken and nan. The waitstaff was fast and friendly. We will be back!

This place is by far the best Indian food I've had in Everett. My partner and I ordered the vegetable biryani, matter aloo, garlic naan with a side of raita. Everything hot. The spice level was on point. Impressively hot. If you can't take a lot of heat then I would recommend ordering medium spice level, don't order mild unless you're a senior citizen cuz that's for lames. Anyway this place rules!! Everything was sooo flavorful and the owner/cook/waiter was super nice and friendly.

  • Keith B.

All about that butter chicken! Some naan and rice rounded it out well. Had a good kick of spice, and the portion for lunch was just right. Will be back in the near future!

Decent food. A little different than I am typically used to but good none the less. In the past I had only ordered to go and I LOVED it! The Butter Chicken is really good! I probably will still get take out from them but I won't dine in. My main complaint is we had a group of 8 people and they would were super rude and would not seat us because we didn't have a reservation! It was a Wednesday evening! The place was EMPTY! I understand that it is a small restaurant and harder to accommodate a party of 8 but really?!? We went to a Thai restaurant close by and passed Curry Bistro on our way back to the car. Still empty. Is that too much to ask to move a couple table to accommodate your customers?

I've had a hard time finding good Indian in Everett, or so I thought. After trying Curry Bistro over the weekend I am sold! Yes, their dining area is on the small side, but if you live in Downtown Everett, it's an easy walk to just across from Comcast Arena. My wife and I got the butter chicken, daal, channa masala, an order of samosas, and naan. It was fantastic!! The butter chicken and channa masala came with jasmine rice that was quite good as well. We also ordered a mango laase and an iced chai which were both also extremely good! She ordered hers mild and had no problem, I got mine at medium and it had a definite bite, so order accordingly! The samosa's had a bit of a bite to them as well, but the chutney they were served with offset it very nicely! The three men running the place on Saturday were all extremely polite and our food was made quickly. The prices are on par with most of the other restaurants in Downtown Everett, and our orders fed us all weekend. If you're in the mood for Indian, Curry Bistro is the place to go!

Best Indian cuisine we have had in ages. The dark outside belies the 20 spices that Manoj is stirring up in the kitchen. They smelled so incredible I wanted to put them in my pipe and smoke it! Inhaling the place is just the beginning. When the pampadons, lamb vindaloo and butter chicken arrived, we were in heaven. The pakora made my husband delighted (best he has had since living in Africa next to an Indian family) and the garlic naan made me profess my love to the chef.

It's been 2 years since I ate here and... Same 2 years ago BEST Indian food experience... I can't eat this food with my eyes open!!!! The authenticity of the meal... The spices, the service, the music, the PASSION behind the food... IT TAKES ME AWAY!!!!!!! If I ever find my way back to WA I will RETURN here!!!

We had the carnivore's sampler platter. The Butter Chicken was really good. The Tandoori drumstick and chutney were excellent. The Naan was delicious. We will definitely be going back!

The food was extremely good and not expensive! Our server at lunch time was a little quiet and not too friendly, but it wasn't bad enough to take away from a 5-star rating. Highly recommend!

This restaurant has worst customer service ever. They will not accommodate anything you ask for and treat you like an object. The food is mediocre and the portions are small. Worst of all, if you want to pay extra and make your portion larger, they refuse, only offering you another plate at full price. I will never go here again and do not recommend anyone with feelings to go, they may get hurt.

I love Indian food; however, despite the lack of Indian restaurants in Everett, the service at this place is so bad, it just isn't worth going here. I have been here several times (I really like Indian food), but the owner has such a bad attitude and watches and comments on what you take from the buffet, or ask a question and get treated like an idiot. I won't be back.

This is our 3rd time eating out here. The food was absolutely fantastic every time. No to go box required here. The portions are big but we can't stop eating until all the food is gone. They are always friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxing with great music always playing.

I have been getting my Indian food fix here for the last 4 years. The service is awesome, and the guys that work there are always willing to chat and answer any questions I have. They even recommended a great Indian Cookbook to me. The food is amazing, very flavorful. I used to get only the chicken vindaloo and tandoori chicken. But have started to take the suggestion of the guys working there and try new things. I have yet to be disappointed. Overall, it is a small restaurant that doesn't have too many frills. But if you're looking for budget friendly authentic Indian food, this is your best bet.

My wife and I have been here many times and each time the food and service have been impressive. The staff is always friendly no matter which server we get. Tonight when we came I ordered the "Lamb Rum Raisin" (according to the menu it is a house special). It was delicious! I got the medium spice and it was -to quote Goldilocks- "just right". The server/owner was very friendly and chatted with us when we were done eating. We will definitely return and continue to recommend Curry Bistro to our friends and family.

Wow, this place. I must say I didn't think Indian food in downtown everett would be this exquisite! The prices were a bit higher than I was hoping for, but the quality of the food and service were more than enough to make up for it. The chai tea was a perfect compliment to the chicken pakoras and the naan was flavorful and soft with a crispy bottom. Seriously Everett, this place.

I have been enjoying good Indian/Desi food since I was very young, from the SF Bay Area to the Puget Sound. I can honestly say the food here is homemade and taste delicious. I've heard others complain about service but I have never experienced this. I have eaten here 10+ times and I have never been disappointed. I do not posses a sense of entitlement as other reviewers. I come for the excellent food, not conversation. If you demand quality, you will find it here. Service is prompt and the owner is professional, and to the point. Do yourself a favor and drop in for lunch. You will not be disappointed!

I have tried lamb dishes twice here. But I can hardly tell the meat they served is lamb. The smell and taste of the "lamb"is too mild.. The food is not bad though. But if they used other meat in replacement of lamb, I would consider the food is a little bit pricey.

I was working across the street at the ice arena and had a longer than usual dinner break, but was stuck dining alone. I'm new to Indian cuisine. I know a few of the basic things on most menus, but don't have any confidence in what to order. I asked the manager if he had a combination plate...thinking this would force me into trying new things. He said he usually only makes them for two people, but because I was dining alone he would make something up special just for me. It was absolutely delicious! It came in a silver tray and reminded me of a bento box, there was a small salad, rice, BBQ chicken, butter chicken, something with goat, and a little round ball that looked like a beet, but it was actually a dessert item that was fantastic. It was laid out so perfectly that the people next to me were actually jealous. I loved my dinner so much I'm trying to make sure I have enough time to go back tonight! The service was excellent and they went the extra mile to make sure I had a wonderful experience along with my fantastic dinner... can't ask for much more than that. Thank you for making my dinner alone into a lovely dining experience!

I loved it. The food was full of flavor. I had tikka masala and it was so good even when it was my leftovers and it was cold. I will definitely go back

Pretty good food. Not so good service. If I am craving Indian food then I'll order to go and hope for very little interaction then get the hell out asap with my food to enjoy at home.

If you are seeking very good, honest Indian food that the creator puts his heart and years of experience into, this is it. Go here, now. But - if you are some sloth with no palate, don't give Curry Bistro a bad rating because it offended your Wal-Mart, Red Robin sensibilities. This guy is not going to dumb down his excellent cuisine to make it meet your backwater standards, and I applaud him for his backbone. Don't get all pissy 'cause he is sometimes blunt, and sometimes directs you to a dish you hadn't anticipated. This is a small shop working on a skeleton crew, yet a crew that knows WTF is good food. If he suggests something, take his cue - he knows his food because its his art, and he probably is a good judge of what you may like that day. He has never steered me wrong. Talk with the owner - he will exceed your expectations, and from what I see enjoys a customer that is interested in how he can tweak his creations to your sense of adventure, your desire to experiment, or your desire to keep it simple and good. I eat here very regularly, and as other regulars no doubt also have learned, this is a place you develop a relationship with... whether I eat here for lunch, dinner or get take out, I am never disappointed, and very often walk away having learned more about my interests in food and where I should go next to expand my dining experience. Getting that at Olive Garden, biacheeez?

The place was empty around noon on Wednesday. The server/cook was rude, so I left. The guy said I didnt know how to read the lunch special over and over. I wanted to give it a chance. There are better restaurants around for sure.

The absolute worst service I have ever had. The guy was so rude from the moment I walked in. I will never go back even though this is the closest place for miles to my house. Not worth it.

The food here is beyond a doubt the very best! They are very busy here, but if you are patient, you will NOT be disappointed! Tikka masala and goa are top notch. The bread basket comes with fantastic pickled veggies. Everything is absolutely delicious.

I discovered this place while looking for the liquor store next door. Being curious I checked the Yelp (and other) ratings and was truly amazed. Either you love this place or you totally hate it. With a spread like that I had to try it. Let me say that this is the best Indian food I have ever had. I don't eat a lot of it, probably because it never seems to taste like it was meant to go together - however the Curry Bistro blew that preconception out of the water. I had the Butter Chicken and was totally amazed. The chicken was perfectly done, the sauce had excellent flavor and did not taste like someone was trying to prove something with the curry powder. The Basmati rice was perfectly done, and the Naan bread (both the garlic and the plain) was sumptuous. All the food was served piping hot. The waiter was friendly and spent a long time talking about the changes that they have made because "Americans are so wasteful". The buffet was pulled because too much was being thrown away and the tandoori chicken with the bone has been removed because much of the chicken was still on the bone. There is a boneless version still. I felt that the Curry Bistro was an extremely authentic Indian dining experience and will definitely be returning for more.

I went in at 8pm on a Friday night to order some take out. Only one table had customers and they had the buffet set up with a sign saying "stop, not self service" I asked to place a take out order and was told y the buffet was available. What restaurant does not offer menu items for take out on a Friday night !!! If I want to eat food cooked hours earlier and left sitting under a heat lamp I would go eat at the company cafeteria. I will not be going back.

I'm sorry to say that I'd never come back here. All the other times we've ordered out we were treated kindly and I couldn't understand the other one star ratings on yelp. But this last visit will be the end of our patronage here. The food here is great, 5 stars no doubt. But if you walk in and see a young guy taking orders, turn around immediately! He is rude, arrogant, and openly makes fun of the customers and gets impatient when you try to specify your order and stares at you making you feel uncomfortable. I've never been one to pay much attention to service, but I've never had service that was so blatantly rude.

Food was awesome! Lots of flavor bursting in the Tandoori chicken, lentil soup and hummus, and of course don't forget the naan! Thanks Lucky for the great food and experience. Mom and I loved it!

Trying to sell highly spiced, flavorful food in a cultural wasteland like Everett has to be a challenge for any restaurant proprietor, but judging by the failure of all but this last holdout tells you quality Indian food and a medium sized city are a tough combination. A long history of customers loading plates with food only to try one bite and abandon them has led to them pulling the lunch buffet and, unfortunately, a bit of a chip on the owner's shoulder which seems to have negatively impacted many of the reviews on YELP! But this eater will take great food and bad service over great service and bad food any day of the week, and frankly other than his kvetching [when prompted by me] I found the service to be just fine, including the fact that I was offered a vegetarian take on the daily lunch special, and boy am I glad I took him up on the offer. Normally I don't eat vindaloos because they tend to be flavorless concoctions overloaded with sliced onions, but my potato vindaloo [sub for chicken] came out freshly prepared with a moderate amount of heat and a depth of flavor seldom encountered in your average Americanized Indian food joint. The potatoes themselves were prepared properly, not the under-done crunch you get a lot of times [who likes raw-ish potatoes in their food?!] and the dry curry they arrived in was possessed of the depth of flavor that comes from an experienced hand in the kitchen. Unfortunately for me, the meat obsession of the typical Everett eater has resulted in a decided tilt of the menu away from veggie dishes: Not even a baghan bharta, which I'm sure would be heavenly given the deft hand of the experienced chef that owner Lucky brought in to spare his arm from the ravages of the inside of the tandoor.... I don't get up to Everett very often, but on my next trip I will surely include another visit to this under-appreciated gem and I look forward to talking my way into another veggie "special" made especially for me.

Roaches! Roaches! Roaches! Do not eat here, there are roaches all over this place! I was in for dinner the other day and saw them under the buffet and in the hall leading to the bathroom. Beware friends! This place used to be such a great place, but I'm afraid due to an owner who has No passion it's just turned into another Everett turd.

GET TAKE OUT!!!!! Food is amazing!! Best Indian I've had in a while. I felt the food was slightly overpriced. And the server/owner made us uncomfortable. GET TAKE OUT!!

I have been looking for good Indian food since I moved to Washington and I have finally found it. This was my second visit to this restaurant and the food quality was just as good as my first visit. The owner is also the server and he was extremely kind even though he is very busy, because he prepares the food too. I love sagg! The first visit, I had the lamb, and this time I had the chicken. Both are very tasty and the meats are very tender. The rice was light and cooked perfectly. I decided to try out the tomato soup this visit, and I am glad I did. Very tasty with just the right amount of spice. My compliments to the chef! I will be back, and very soon!

In the course of my day I could be anywhere between Bellingham and Burien, Bellevue and Bremerton at lunch. I love Indian Curry especially Korma! I live in Everett and am so happy to have this gem of a restaurant near home. The food is as good as any I have anywhere in the area and it cost less then most. The people are great and so friendly. Tonight I called in our order and it turns out they were just closing the store. And yet, they made our food and held the door for me. Yes, the food is great the price is good and the service is terrific. I am now a regular!!!!!!

I was expecting an Indian buffet; I searched for that on Yelp and this is what came up, but no buffet was in evidence at lunch time. The place is small and I was the only one there for lunch except for one walk in customer. Generally I get a little antsy about that so I went with their special since I didn't want to tempt fate. It was a meatball marsala which seemed kind of odd for an Indian place but whatever. The presentation was nice and the flavor was fine but the meatballs seemed quite rubbery -- like they came out of a frozen bag. Price was ok, but overall I doubt I'd go back.

I would like to preface this review by stating that this is by far the worse customer service experience I have had in many years. I went into the empty restaurant (never a good sign) and was told to "have a seat." When I informed them that I wanted to place an order to-go they gave me a menu when asked and I ordered the Chicken Korma. The prices were steep for Everett, especially for Indian food. I was assuming somewhere around 8 dollars, but the total was 13 dollars. I expected much better quality for the price. While the Korma sauce was very good, the chicken quality was exceptionally poor. The rice was adequate but nothing spectacular. Now to the customer service aspect. When I came to pick up my order, I signed the check and they handed me the food including the "complimentary rice." Well, what was I going to do? Eat the Korma dish without rice? I went back to eat the food and noticed that there was no fork, no napkin or any utensils. Since I was eating at the noon hour, I just expected them to put the stuff in there for my "to-go" order. I called them to inform them that they had not placed utensils or napkins in the bag, and when queried they became very defensive. In fact, the person on the phone pronounced that "You [I] have no idea of what it is to run a restaurant," after I had indicated that they had made a mistake by not including at least a fork. I mean, how was I going to eat this stuff? With my hands? Definitely will never be going back there again. Nothing short of disgraceful customer service.

I was so ready for there to be a decent indian restaurant in Everett. We'd heard about this one and decided to check it out. From the minute we walked in the door, my eleven year old daughter and myself, we began having a strange experience. The restaurant was completely empty with the exception of a single gentlemen dining alone in the corner. When my daughter and I tried to sit at a booth, we were shooed away and told that those were reserved for "three or four people". I looked at the server incredulously and and said, "Really? Even though there's no one in here?" and he assured me, yes... we would not be allowed to sit at the booth and instead were herded over to a small "mini-booth" in the middle of the room. The server who came to get our drink orders was very, very pushy... not content to let me simply have the iced tea that I orderd, he insisted that I consider one of the mango options. While I was annoyed that he was so insistent that I try something different, in the end I acquiesced and tried the mango iced tea, which was mediocre at best. We were never brought waters, even though the tables who came in around us were brought water upon seating. The server guy, a slim fella with a heavy accent, continued to try and hard sell us appetizers and other things on the menu. but when I attempted to order the Tandoori Mixed Grill (a mixed grill dish with chicken, shrimp, lamb leg and lamb chop), he tried to dissuade me, telling me that that takes much more time to prepare. When I asked how much longer, he said 20 minutes. (big deal, right? I wasn't in a hurry) At this point in time another fellow, older and seemingly more experienced in restaurant biz, came over and more graciously took our order. We waited just about 20 minutes... I had hoped that the Garlic Naan we'd ordered would have come out sooner, but it didn't... it arrived with the rest of the food. My daughter ordered Shrimp Korma, which was reasonably good and well spiced. My mixed grill arrived and was distinctly charred. The second server came over and explained to me that the meat wasn't charred, only the bone from the lamb chop. Initially I accepted his claim, even though it all looked clearly overdone. But, upon further examining the meat, I discovered that the entire tiny little lamb chop was charred black to an inedible crisp. I flagged down the gentleman to convey my concerns, and this is the point at which the evening became really bizarre. Instead of acknowledging the blatantly burned hunk of meat on my plate ( I mean literally.... the bone was so black it was crumbling), he reminded me that he had told me this already and that it was not burned. I looked at the meat, looked at the guy, and said... "It's burned!". He continued to argue with me, telling me he comes from four generations of cooks and that this (lamb chop) is the most expensive cut of meat on the planet (!?) and that he had explained to me from the beginning that only the bone was burned, not the meat. I literally had three little hunks of charcoal on my plate.... he then went on to say that they had accidentally given me more than I was supposed to have anyway (more than the walnut size blackened bit at the end of the blackened bone) and so the charred bits on my plate weren't mine anyway. I couldn't believe that I was having this conversation.... at one point I actually said something along the lines of, "well... being as they are on my plate, they must be mine" and "usually in a situation like this, the person who serves burned food apologizes and tries to find a solution" but, all to no avail. He let me impolitely with no offer to rectify the situation and implying that I was a bad customer. We were never checked on again by either the older guy or the other server, until we were obviously done with our paltry bits of foods. $43 for two dishes, one order garlic naan, to simple drinks and shockingly bad service. I'll never go there again. And, for what it's worth? "Renee m."? I think "she's" a shill..... looks like a self-serving advert to me. If this simple little hole in the wall is an "exceptionally beautiful place", then my name is Santa Claus. I get the idea that if the workers at this joint weren't such freaks, the food might be reasonably decent. I can accept that an error is made, or that something is accidentally burned. I cannot accept, however, being made to feel like it is somehow my imagination that the pieces of charcoal on my plate are a problem or that I have some nerve thinking that the food was mine in the first place. Unless these guys can go etiquette school.... steer clear of this ridiculous restaurant.

I only take a star down for the service, which was friendly, but a bit lacking. Especially since we were the only table in there! I'm sure it is a family run sort of operation and it's not like they are hiring people with experience.... At any rate, the food was solid. We were a party of five and got the chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, lamb vindalo, aloo gobi, basmati rice and bread basket with tandoori naan, onion kulcha, and something else I didn't get a sample of. All were extremely flavorful, tasted distinctly different from one another, and were probably some of the best Indian I've had. (We had Indian food at our wedding, so are no strangers!) We were mopping the plates with the naan by the end of the meal. The prices are a little spendy for Everett, but I would rather spend a little extra and be happy then save a buck or two for uninspired crap. I would suggest going in with the realization that you won't be getting great service, so be patient.... the cook is the one who counts!

I had a similar experience as most here. Food was delicious, particularly the butter chicken. I had the lamb vindaloo "spicy" and it was almost too spicy. And I enjoy some heat. The Kingfisher beer was overpriced in my opinion, but the chai tea was fantastic. So overall a great experience up until the very end. It had just turned 10pm (closing time), and we had already paid for our meals. I was finishing up the last few sips of my beer when the head chef/manager and both waiters came up to the table and said, "You leave - NOW. We are closed." It was almost as if our very presence as the clock turned 10 was a great offense to them, because they certainly acted like we offended them. We were shocked that they would shout at us to leave, and stand over our table until we did leave, following us out and locking the door. I totally understand if they want to close up shop and be on their way, but all they needed to do was kindly remind us it was 10 and they were closed and we would have been on our way. Still, the food was good enough to return. So I hope to one day.

They're new, so maybe Curry bistro is still getting up on its feet. I work near by, and when we saw the sign go up for a new Indian place, my coworkers and I made short order of heading over. The first thing that happened is that it was a virtual SAUNA in there, and it wasn't one of our 90 degree days. We peeked at the buffet, which was small, and decided to order from the menu. The server was reluctant to give us menus, and after he did, we were greeted by another man who insisted we try the buffet. Not wanting to make waves, (and maybe something special was there?) We went ahead and had the buffet. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Nor do I really need "all I can eat" during a lunch break from work, as much as they REALLY wanted us to have it. The staff was pretty nice, but my over all impression was that it wasn't worth it. I value what I put into my body, and this didn't make the cut. Sorry Curry Bistro. I wanted to love you.

My daughter and I had lunch at the Curry Bistro today, and we'll definitely be repeat customers. I like the variety of a buffet, and my daughter tried one of the soups. The buffet is small, but the dishes were perfectly prepared. The salad dressing was delicious, the naan was flaky and delicate, the lentil and yam mixture was a pleasant surprise, and the chick peas had a spicy and minty flavor. The butter chicken was creamy and moist, while the tandoori chicken was spicy and crispy. The rice pudding provided a light, refreshing end to the meal. My daughter said that her tomato soup was the best she's ever had, and she said that she'll be craving it again soon. It was creamy, spicy and sweet. From the way she raved about it, I'll have to give it a try!

love it here. I called Curry Bistro to place an order on a quiet Tuesday night for the first time with almost ten different items, but the owner refused to take my order, instead he wanted me to come in and order. Now, I thought that kind of weird, since they are new, they probably don't want any fake order, but come on, what's the point of getting take out order? To avoid waiting times? Being in a business is a gamble and I think that sometime you have to take the risk and also built your trust with your customers. The meal was very tasty and spicy enough just the way I like it. They definitely know how to cook. WILL BE BACK SOON.

I love, love, love Indian food! The food here in fact was great, and had my experience went differently, I would have given this place 5 stars... However, I sadly had the worst dining experience of my life at Curry Bistro. This is how it went down: I ordered the Chana Masala, and upon placing my order, I asked the server it is came with rice. He gave me a big attitude and told me that only the meat dishes came with rice, but that they had to "make my food to order", and therefor I would have to order and pay for rice separately. Then he told me if I wanted to get free rice, I needed to order a meat dish. Are you kidding me?! I told him I was a vegetarian, and I would just pay extra for the rice. When my food came, the rice was the exact rice that my husband had from the lunch buffet. On top of that, the server had an awful attitude toward me. It was as if I was a bother to him, and that I should have been kissing his feet for serving me. For this, I will never come here again, nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone.

Good is delicious 4.5 stars. Coconut curry chicken, tikka masala and chickpea masala and naan were delicious! Service was better than expected from all of the terrible reviews.

$10 for an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. The main dishes are savory but then mango dessert, basmatic rice, and naan are all mneh!! This is supposed to be the best part!! But I am a bit biased because Taste of India off of Roosevelt holds a special place in my heart. I would rather pay &7.99!! I had a total of 6 plates and the host reports having a maximum of 27 plates. If you're gonna eat 27 plates then it's definitely worth $10!

So, I love hearing about good places, right? I love checking out new places. I'm always on the hunt for another good meal. I got my ear to the ground, my finger on the pulse. And somewhere, can't remember where, the news made its way to my brain that Curry Bistro is happenin'. Made its way firmly enough that I didn't really think too much about it--didn't read reviews, didn't even know what kind of food they serve. So I get there and they are an Indian place. I love Indian food. I love lazy Saturdays where I don't have anywhere to be at any particular time and this is shaping up to be at the very least a new experience. There's nobody here, but I'm way late for lunch, so there probably wouldn't be many people there. And being way late for lunch is normal for me on a Saturday. Quite the opposite of how it is on a weekday, but that's really neither here nor there. I sit down in the shabby dining room at a shabby booth and check out the menu. Dude is clearly borderline pissed about having to wait on customers. I don't get it. #1, there are hardly any actual customers there, and it smells *great* in there--stuff must be practically ready to serve. So I check out a vegetable samosa, a lamb vindaloo curry, and a masala chai. Nothing too outlandish, but the descriptions sound great. Dude goes into some elaborately overbearing interrogation about whether I want rice, when I want the app to come out, the usual questions, but done with real vehemence and resentment. And he wants to know if I understand that the meal comes on a plate. What? I don't care. Serve it in a coffee mug, as long as it tastes as good as this place smells. At this point I have been here forever, but finally the food shows up. He comes out and turns the sign around to indicate that they are closed. Huh? The sign and the web say you're open for 6 more hours. Whatever. Food comes out and it is *fan*tas*tic*. Richly flavored lamb with depth and complexity, perfectly fluffy rice with real texture and presence. Amazing samosas with great flavor and light crust, next to two of the best dipping sauces I can remember having. A green peppery paste and a brown sticky sweet sauce that's somewhat more liquid than the paste, but at the same time tighter for its being completely pureed. Everything's perfect--flavor, texture, heat. Garlic naan is equally good. Calories stacking up and I seriously don't care. So the dude goes on to explain to two would-be customers that the buffet is over for the day. Hadn't noticed the buffet, it's so small. Is this why he's so pissed about being tableside? I wait about, oh, ten minutes with dishes stacked on the table. No check. I stand by the cash register and wait. Probably ten more minutes up there. Dude nods at me a couple times. Must be coming out to cash me out, I think. Comes out right past me and starts breaking down the buffet. Put it all together and this meal took probably 45 minutes more than it needed to. I can't remember the last time I tipped as little as 15%, unless I was annoyed. But I gave this guy zero dollars and zero cents for a tip, looked him in the eye, and said--loudly--"the FOOD was *great*," and split. Man, it's frustrating to have food like this ready to hand and not be able to go back because the service sucks donkey. And, well. Tipping 0% probably won't get me welcomed back anytime soon. So, if you love Indian food, masochism, and blowing an extra hour on nothing at all, I can say this place is 5 stars across the board. The food really is five stars, too. Not even kidding about that.

The food was OK, but the service was horrible. It took 40 minutes for or food and they only been open for 10 minutes. The price was on par as other restaurants. I will not be back.

Can't purport to be any kind of expert on Indian food, though have tried several places and know what I like. Curry Bistro definitely passes the muster. Curry Bistro's sauces are both complex and assertive, servings small yet surprisingly substantial. We ordered Tandoori chicken, lamb vindaloo, a chick pea dish , believe it was chanda masala, seasoned naan and the meal came with basmati rice. The seasonings on the garlic naan were far too subtle to be noticed, though naan had a lovely texture, the ideal "utensil" for the meal. The lamb vindaloo was a bit chewy, but the sauce was intense and delicious. The Tandoori chicken was a bit greasier than I'm used to and the flavors were more on the surface than other places where the flavor penetrated through more of the meat, but it was still very good. It came dramatically served, sizzling and fragrantly steaming on a cast iron plate with a lemon wedge, thinly sliced blackened onion and some other thin veggie bits. The chick peas were also quite savory, though the disconcertingly chewy cardamom pods still mixed in with the lovely tomato onion sauce and needed to be fished out. Delicate basmati rice was the perfect foil for this tongue tingling meal. Like others, we found the service a bit odd. We got there between 5 and 6 pm. The open sign was out, the lights on, door locked. Fortunately we were seen and let in, followed gradually by others. The first time I came by just before opening time at lunch (though didn't realize that) to check them out. The door was unlocked and they were a bit freaked out that I came in. It made me wonder if they'd had problems with folks, though the scent of their cooking definitely passed my olfactory taste so I knew I'd be back. Bottom line: the food's very good, well worth putting up with some likely mutual cultural missteps. We'll be back and ready to explore less familiar territory on their extensive menu.

I swear, one day I'll stop writing about this place however today will not be that day. I wandered in there after placing a phone-in order and I was greeted with, 'Oh! It's you!' Take it from me, they do read Yelp reviews and they do care. He took time out to explain to me The Shrimp Situation. They use larger shrimp for the BBQ and smaller shrimp for curries. Why? You end up with more meat per serving, the smaller shrimp absorb the flavors better, and well, they're bite-sized. I can't disagree with any of these reasons. Honestly, I was just accustomed to the larger shrimp used by other restaurants. My REAL issue with the shrimp--that they were limp--must have been a fluke because this time, they were plump, dense, and had that right little al dente bite I expect from shrimp. Fantastic. Another thing that was explained to me is that not all dishes can be made Indian Hot which might explain the variation in spice levels (perhaps I was ordering it Indian Hot but they were making it only as hot as the dish can take). I think that next time I order, I'll ask them to make it as hot as what suits the dish. I don't absolutely have to have it blazing hot; I'd rather tame the heat level if it better suits the integrity of the dish. I like this place more and more.

Five stars for the food. Some of the best Indian food I have eaten! Fewer stars for the attitude. Owner/server was abrupt and by Everett standards, RUDE. But, if you understand the routine, eating here is a fine experience. Order everything all at once, even dessert. It seems to confuse if you order a starter, later the main dish, and then throw in a side. Be prepared to wait. Each dish is made to order and is done in the order the cook gets them. It seems to work as the food is excellent! Don't ask many questions; nod and smile a lot and you will enjoy a very pleasant meal. Also, hot means hot. I like hot but a three star is just fine.

Here's a quick review. Food was excellent! I started with the Cucumber salad. Really fresh and delicious. Main course was the Chicken Curry, medium spice with naan bread. I could have licked the plate clean. The quality of the dishes were superb. If you are in town looking for a great little place for authentic Indian, please stop by this place. I have no problem giving this place 5 stars for the food. Enjoy!

Would have been nice to give this place an honest shot considering we have been looking for places to become regulars at since we are starioned 5 mins away giving this place one star because they dont open until 1130 not the 1100 posted on here so not only are we mad because we didnt get indian food we are mad that we wasted time coming and could have went to a different place that has been highly rated on yelp, instead we ended up at brooklynn bros pizza place a few doors down for food. Atleast I know we will leave here satisfied.

A friend of mine inspired me to try Indian cuisine. I'd eaten Indian food before, but it had been YEARS. My husband and I decided to try the Curry Bistro on Hewitt in downtown Everett. The only reason I give this Bistro four stars and not five is ONLY because the service was very slow. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and it took several minutes to get water and menus, etc. The food, however, more than made up for the wait! I highly recommend the Chicken Biryani with a Mango Lassi. You cannot go wrong. Was delicious! I never am able to finish my meals, but my plate was clean before we left!

My husband and I have eaten here many times, and ordered take-out as well. I cannot resist the butter chicken and chicken vindaloo (another reviewer said lamb vindaloo, so I'm gonna try that too!) The food is incredible. I recommend HOT, but not "Indian hot" because that is just merciless on the GI tract...A good cold beer is a great accompaniement. And for dessert, definitely try the kashmiri naan with cherries, cashews, and coconut. YUM! As far as the service goes, I agree that the owner may seem a bit untrusting of people, so I suspect he has probably had some unfortunate experiences as a non-native to the country. We always treat them warmly and receive the same in response. (Say 'namaste', it will always get a smile :) The young waiters are always friendly too. Do be prepared to wait a little while for your food to be prepared, it's worth it!! If you don't have time, call ahead for take-out.

This place started out pretty good when it opened but has gone downhill. The owner complains about the wholesale price of food now and skimps on the buffet. The pakoras were so hard, they were inedible. I read a good review from The Everett Herald, a recent one posted at the restaurant. Either the owner knew you were coming that day or The Herald does not know good Indian food from bad. Will not be back.

I'm a huge fan of chicken curry and naan. The owner (I assumed he was the owner) was hesitant when my boyfriend and I ordered it. He tried to get us to try something else, like he didn't want to take the time to make it or something. It was slightly off-putting. He did not persuade us, though. The curry was pretty good! It wasn't the best curry I've ever had, but my favorite place is down in Tacoma, so I think I will go back since it's so close! The naan was a little burnt, but still good. Overall, Curry Bistro was good!

WOW... so just came from this place and heres my story.. We had just ordered our food when we found out this place is in the Entertainment Book. Sweet! had one in the car, lets save $10, so the husband ran out and got it. We finished our food and asked for the bill when the waiter came over he saw our coupon, told us "sorry have to let me know before ordering, ok our bad i understand.. BUT THEN.. he says well pay for your rice and ill take the coupon. ($4 for a tiny side of rice fyi) but we said ok. Kids are getting rawdy so I take them to the car. Heres where it gets good.. Waiter comes up to husband starts accusing him of taking the table next to ours coupon and saying that we're trying to cheat him, he caught him on a "hidden camera" and what kind of parents are we to do such a thing?!?!?! WHATTT!!! People at the other table had to step in and tell the waiter that NO WE DIDNT! You couldn't pay me to eat here again. On a side note, the tikka masala was good. but the chicked kahalla (?) was extremely salty. Drive the extra 10 min. and go somewhere worth it.

There are very very very few indian restaurants around here and this one would have to be my favorite. I love the "curry in a hurry" lunch hour. Its a great price, the owners are so sweet, The only issue with the place is it closes after lunch till five. Other than that I recommend everything on the menu!

all good. our server was extremely nice & chatty (ok, it was almost annoying- almost), but the food was great. I shared butter chicken, mango chicken, & chicken kajala (damn, I feel like we killed a whole family of chickens that day..) & an order of garlic naan with 2 other people. all good, we each had a different favorite, & we had enough leftovers for at least 2 more meals. it's not cheap, but the portions did turn out to be much larger than they appeared in the dishes, so it was like 2 meals per dish :)

First of all this is our first time eating Indian food...Went on a Monday night with my family of 4. It took a while for someone to take our orders but that was okay. We waited about a good 20 minute before the food came out. We ordered the Garlic Naan as a appetizer. We loved it! Including the sauce that it came with. The food was delicious. We ordered 4 different entree. Lamb Vindaloo, Fish Marsala, Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Marsala. My kids loved the chicken dishes.. my husband liked his fish marsala but the only downfall, only three pieces of fish. I thought the Lamb Vindaloo was great but my husband complained it had a gamey taste to it.. The cost was pretty pricey I thought. The total was 72 dollar including tip. The Lamb was about 14.95 or so. I'm not sure if this is normal pricing or not but with that price I can go to a chinese buffet for 12 dollars.

This is some of the best Chicken Tika Masala I have ever had. My wife said it *is the best* Indian food she has ever eaten. I am giving this 5 stars because of how good the food is. We looked forward to coming back for at least a month. In response to Martina B's negative review, I have to say the whole thing was a misunderstanding. The owner apologized profusely for the coupon misunderstanding. Personally I think it wad an honest mistake. This is our favorite Indian Restaurant ! :-) A++++

Don't get the neg reviews, because I have discerning tastes, a refined palette, as do all I have brought here, and it is always divine. better than the food in India, and better than any of the Indian restaurants in Seattle - I have eaten at them all. Sometimes quite busy - glad to see. Everything super fresh, very complex and amazing to the last bite - plenty of food for the price. HUGE menu - bring someone who knows how to order or ask the owner. The owner is great if you make conversation - otherwise he will probably leave you alone. Sometimes they play some great Indian Pop Music - often loud into the streets, which we actually found charming. A little pricey, making from scratch takes time, hole-in-the-wall funky charm (?). Will continue to go here as long as I can, as it is easily the best food in Everett.

We found ourselves hungry in the mid afternoon (about 4 PM) on a Saturday in Everett and decided to give Curry Bistro a try. The food was great! We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, the Butter Chicken and one order of garlic naan to go with it. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent too and very friendly! We also liked the Bollywood music playing at a comfortable level in the background. Can't wait to go back next time we're in Everett!

My husband and I came here on our anniversary, since there aren't many Indian cuisine choices in the area, and we are SO glad we did. We had the Mango chicken, which was moist, sweet and with just the right amount of creaminess and spice. The Palak Paneer was delicious, very traditionally done. We also ordered the bread basket, which came with garlic naan, regular naan and I believe onion Kulcha (onion stuffed bread)...all fresh, warm and perfect with a side of their tamarind chutney. Oh, and the mango iced tea and mango lemonade? Perfect pairing to the food!! The service was good (they were very busy on a Saturday night), the atmosphere is very cozy and quaint, as the dining room is tiny. Reservations are needed for more than 6 people for this reason. My only complaint about this restaurant was that it was FREEZING in there! Please turn on the heat, it's getting chilly out! We kept our coats on and were still very cold. Good thing we had a boat load of warm naan to warm our hands :) They also didn't offer iced water or come to refill on our drinks...which was an annoyance (since we ordered our food quite spicy) but the food was so good, I could easily forgive!

Even if it weren't in culturally-void Everett, this would be an exceptional place to dine. The decor is marginally charming, and the food takes a little while to arrive, but the food negates lack of enthusiasm. Every bit is amazing. The naan is the best I have ever had (and I have had naan many times before) and each dish is surprisingly different. I had the palak paneer (for one) for my first visit since this is really my favorite Indian dish and I wanted to use it as a gauge to see how good this place was. Not only was I not disappointed, I was blown away. I have eaten at five star places before, and this place is right up there with the complexity of the dishes and warmth of the service. The owner is friendly and open to conversation, but leaves you to enjoy your ambrosia. As the menu states, the reason that the food takes a bit longer (we were the only ones in there and it took maybe 20 minutes) is that everything is made from scratch - and you can really taste this. I am going to find it hard to eat Indian food anywhere else; This place really raises the bar!

Enjoyed another satisfying meal @Curry Bistro tonight...dal soup, tandoori naan and lamb mango curry, "medium" hot, portions generous enough to take home easily another meal. The lamb was trimmed and tender, the curry tart with mango and tomato, everything superbly fresh and served with only the delay required by prepared-for-you cooking. I'll return again, and again, fortunate to have the option so close to home.

Tasty, tasty, tasty! I thought I had to drive all the way to Seattle for good Indian food. Not as such... The lunch menu is great. "Curry in a Hurry" indeed! Everytime I've eaten here, I've been happy with the food; I've mostly had take-out. The vindaloo chicken is great and the naan bread is wonderful. I enjoy the butter chicken as well although I will say I have had better. I'll keep going if they keep making yummy food. :)

This is one if the best Indian places I have ever eaten at in my life...and I am part Indian, so I frequent many places. This restaurant has so many delicious vegetarian and vegan options, that when I decided to try to give up meat for a while, I could still come here and indulge in curry bliss. I don't know how they do it, but no Indian place comes close to the flavorful food made here. I absolutely love it and if I could afford it, I would eat here every night! For vegetarians, try the dahl mahkani and the eggplant bhartha...probably both spelled wrong! =)

My husband, Tone Hutton and I so enjoyed our dinner at Curry Bistro a couple of nights ago. I had chicken in a delicious creamy curry sauce and Tone had lamb w/ spinach and tasty spices. It took a while but we were in no hurry. The naan was also scrumptious. Will go back in ASAP.

I'm not sure what these negative reviews are about. This is still the best Indian I have enjoyed in all of the greater Seattle Area. Some Seattle restaurants offer a more contemporary atmosphere, sure, but the food at Curry Bistro far out flavors any other Indian joint I've been to. I always come away from Curry Bistro full and happy. The staff is super friendly. I just took a friend for the lunch special (Chicken Vindaloo?) and he loved it. Only 6 dollars for a filling, good lunch! I'm a repeat customer for sure.

I came in at 1ish on week day. I was the only on in the place. I had the buffet. It was pretty good, kind of small but well made food. Moist tandoori, fresh veggies in a curry. They got out a rickety old high chair, but my daughter hardly weighs anything. The man and woman who run the place both seemed sad/grumpy and were working on other stuff, which is fine cause I had the buffet. They have mango pudding and rice pudding in little like to-go sauce containers. Apparently they freeze it. I opened the mango and it looked horrible, like half evaporated. I didn't even try it. I opened the rice one and it looked ok, I tried it and i swear it was rancid, it tasted rotten. The man offered to heat it up for me, when I told him I think it had spoiled. I am not sure he understood what I was saying. All in all I wont go back. There are so many really great Indian places. Even on the street, there are much better options, Gorditos, the Thai place next door. Or drive to Lynnwood and get better Indian.

Went here on a Tuesday night around 7. We were the only patrons when we arrived. Food is on a scale of mild, medium, hot, indian hot. We ordered my favorites, butter chicken and lamb vindaloo both at indian hot. The cook came out to make sure we knew what that meant. After assuring him we like it hot, he acquiesced to our order. The dishes were excellent. Hot but could have been hotter. The naan (garlic) was perfect. Rice accompaniment was fine. I also ordered a mango lassi that was a little disappointing. Whipped cream on top? No, thank you. It was a great experience other than a few service issues. 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable. Maybe I'm just used to Indian & Singaporean street food prices but ~$15 for 1-1.5c of curry is a little taiguela. When we left, half of the maybe 10 tables were occupied.

So my mom and went here for lunch and the food was ok. The reason it gets a 1 star is because as we were eatting our lunch, the manager (not our server) walked over and told us we needed to pay our check. We were still eating and I said that I was going to need a box and he replied that I could finish my lunch but I needed to pay. We had our food maybe 5 minutes. They had also done the same thing to the only other table in there. It was like something on SNL, I have never seen anything like it. We quickly paid our bill and decided to leave. The same guy also made a comment to the family that was dining because the kids had spilt rice, etc as little kids do on the table and floor. I couldn't believe how rude it was. I will never be back.

So its been a while since I've eaten Indian food. My fiance and i looked up best places in Everett to get curry. A few choices popped up and curry bistro was at the top. So we went with that. I gotta tell you it was Amazing. Its a small little restaurant that packs a huge flavorful meals. The owner is very knowledgeable about the different spices used in all his dishes. He personally came out to talk to my fiance and i about the heat scale and how hot we should order it. We for sure will be going back there every time we crave curry.

I have had better food but prices are same as the other Indian restaurants a little cheaper than some Indian restaurants in Seattle. We had the buffet and also ordered from the menu I would give the food a 6 out of 10 good service though. Pretty small place only for about 8 to 10 people.

My husband and I moved to Everett a handful of months ago, and we're always on the lookout for good Indian food. Curry Bistro is about as good as it gets--at this point, it feels like we're dropping in on a weekly basis. This one is about as good as you can get in the United States. The food is flavorful. There are a couple of things I particularly judge an Indian restaurant by, so here's the run down: * The Mango Lassi: mango lassis often go wrong by being far too sweet, or not having enough mango in them. You should be able to taste the tartness of the yogurt and the sweetness of the mango. Curry Bistro's mango lassi is excellent: sweet enough to remind you that it's mango, but the flavor of the yogurt is perfectly married with the mango. * The Naan: The naan here are served hot, crisp, and perfectly brushed with just enough butter to round out the flavor, but not so much as to overwhelm it. * The dishes: Every dish we've had has been very flavorful. We're a big fan of many of the lamb dishes--the lamb saagwalla and the lamb vindaloo are particularly good, but we've also had a handful of the vegetarian dishes and the soups. Nothing here has ever been anything less than tasty. * The aftermath. Some Indian restaurants produce food that's hard to digest. I'm not sure on the reasons for that--I've heard it suggested that they add baking soda to their sauces? Curry Bistro doesn't do this. There's a reason we visit this restaurant regularly. It's good, solid, tasty Indian food. It has never let us down, and every time I've tried something new, I've been happy with my choice. Definitely the best place to get your Indian food fix in Everett! We have only ever been here for dinner, so I cannot speak to the lunch buffet, but if it's as good as the dinner dishes, this restaurant is a winner.

Today was my 3rd visit to Curry Bistro and first time for lunch. My wife and I have dined there twice--the food has been exceptional on all three occasions. This is the finest Indian food I have had in America PERIOD (and equal to any I've had in London). Lunch--get the $5.99 special. Today was tandoori chicken (3 succulent marinated pieces), basmati rice, cabbage and some side sauces. You'll be hard pressed to find REAL food with flavor and quality ingredients at this price point elsewhere. Steve G.

My husband and I were hesitant to try this out because we haven't found many good restaurants in Everett. We were pleasantly surprised. We came in late for dinner and ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, some garlic Nan and the Vegetable Biryani. All were delicious. Especially the Tikka Masala. I order this dish every time I eat Indian food and this was amazing. Totally delicious. The staff was friendly. I will eat there again.

I like this place! I have a penchant for butter chicken and this place serves it up nice! They use chicken breast and not thigh parts. The sauce is creamy and well balanced. The owner is there to ensure everything is great. He checks with me every time I eat there. The kitchen is easily seen and is very clean. I have recommended this to several friends who never tried Indian food before and they fell in love with it!

Just moved to Everett and was looking for good Indian food. This place is great! The servings of Naan bread are large. Great butter chicken. The lunch buffet is perfect, only $9.95.

First of all, customer service at this place SUCKS. An empty restaurant and you're going to get combative with the only customer who comes in? Deny a legitimate Entertainment coupon because it's for "dine in only" (not stated on the coupon)? I might have tolerated this bad service if the food was particularly good, but it's not. Not even remotely good, especially considering many entrees start at $12 and only go higher. The fact this restaurant is almost always empty at any given moment is telling. Go to the Clay Pit in Mill Creek town center instead.

I had lunch here one day while visiting Everett for an aikido event. The food wasn't the most fantastic Indian I've had, but it was perfectly decent and actually better than I expected for this neck of the woods. The menu has all the usual suspects but also some unusual items. Extra star for having "Royal Rice" as one of them, which is the closest thing I've encountered for a long time to the Kashmiri Biriyani of my dreams (and which I've not yet found outside India itself). My dining companions didn't think it was spicy enough, even after they asked for extra spice. So if you like spice, you should probably ask for extra, extra spice. Microbrews available! Being from New York, I just can't get over this!

Very Very BAD Indian food. We are Indians and were traveling to Seattle and had dinner at Curry Bistro. The food ranks about the worst Indian food we have ever eaten. The food was not even made right - with not even the right ingredients. The paneer (cottage cheese) was completely RED - either it was soaked in for days for it to take on that color, or the whole dish had come out of a can. And thats not all, the dishes are very pricey - you even have to pay 2 bucks for a plain piece of papad (without any toppings) ! We had severe acidity and heartburn after eating there - usually happens because of preservatives and bad ingredients (Not spice levels - we are used to that) Take our advice, if you want to eat Indian food that badly, go eat somewhere else, and if thats not possible, then get some ready to eat from your local supermarket.

I have eaten at the Curry Bistro at least half a dozen times now. I have to say that I have tried manyt dishes and the experince of every bite is like eating "the best thing I've ever had in my whole life." Everything is wonderful and surprisingly even better than the last bite! The only possibly negative thing I can say about the Curry Bistro's food is that it's not diet food! ;+) Still, I HIGHLY recommend it!

I've been a fan of Indian cuisine ever since eating at the local takeaways in the UK while working there. Lamb Vindaloo saved me from a year of hopelessly boring British food. A slave to habit I ordered Lamb Vindaloo and my S.O. had the Lamb Mango Curry. We like it hot and were hoping for the real deal when we ordered ours "Indian Hot". The spices were perfectly prepared and blended and the lamb was excellent. The heat however was a 2 on our 5 star scale. They say this level works best for the typical NW Norwegian palate and perhaps from a standpoint of not stepping on the subtleties of the spices, which is an art form in Indian cooking itself, the lower heat level may have allowed us to appreciate the nuance of the dishes a little more fully. The Basmati rice was delicious, the chutneys that came with the popadums were outstanding. The naan was the perfect foil for the vindaloo gravy and the mango lassi there is the best I've had anywhere. We've been losing far too many of our top shelf restaurants in Everett as it is and Indian restaurants are disappearing countywide. Don't make the mistake of letting another culinary gem slip past us, get out there and patronize them. You won't regret it.

This is probably the best Indian food I've tried yet! The food is always great, and there is always plenty to take home, too. The staff is really friendly and helpful with menu items. I highly recommend Curry Bistro.

On the Buffet, the Butter chicken isnt consistent, spicey one day, weak the next. They never have somosa on the buffet, and the pakora (if its offered) lacks. Dont expect free refills on your soda. I have given this place more than 6 times to get their act up to par.

Price was ok, but overall I doubt I'd go back.

love it here.

I've eaten here several times. Sometimes it's really good and other times it's just meh. Very inconsistent and a bit over priced in my opinion.

Wonderful food! After knocking back beers at Balefire up the street, we needed food. Curry Bistro was the only place open. The staff was friendly and entertaining. The lamb vindaloo was awesome (as was the naan) We will be back

On the Buffet, the Butter chicken isnt consistent, spicey one day, weak the next. They never have somosa on the buffet, and the pakora (if its offered) lacks. Dont expect free refills on your soda. I have given this place more than 6 times to get their act up to par.

All about that butter chicken! Some naan and rice rounded it out well. Had a good kick of spice, and the portion for lunch was just right. Will be back in the near future!
