Another amazing Friday night at the Rainier. The staff is Amazing. Jill made our night the most special evening we could imagine. The special was wicked good and the prime rib was tender beyond belief. Tip: order an oyster shooter with a vodka shooter. Thats the way to kick off the night.

I probably would have never come to this restaurant if it wasn't for the hike in Mt. Rainier area. Some people from our group suggested it, as it was on our way back to Seattle and it took about an hour to get there after our hike. The food that they serve is a perfect post- hike grub: some comfort food, burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. The menu is very extensive and you can get a healthy option or a treat. I opted for the second and got a cup of clam chowder followed by the fish wrap with two giant onion rings. The clam chowder was one of the best I have ever had! Not too creamy and with good amount of clams. I bit into a piece of lemon wedge that was used for cooking it. I guess that's what gives it very balanced flavor with a little tang to it. The fish wrap had good amount of flaky fish (it didn't taste as it was fried as per menu, which was even better with me), lettuce and tasty dressing. I usually never get onion rings, so these were a fun addition to me. They were really delicious too. The servers that helped our group were smiling, efficient and had no problem with splitting our tab as many ways as we wished. I will be happy to visit that place again when in that area!

Stopped in here this past weekend on our way to Paradise, we had a fairly large group of 6 which they were able to accommodate, including 2 kids with various allergies, that was a bonus point for them. The town is charming, with a small feel to it, take a walk and enjoy it. There are plenty of smaller restaurants in the town, but we picked this one based on the reviews and diverse menu. I had the bacon cheeseburger, which was cooked very well, brown in the outside and nice and medium pink in the inside, still keeping it nice and juicy, leaving that wood fire grill taste in your mouth, with crispy bacon as it should be and cheddar cheese not fully melted, allowing me to take it all in in one huge bite, which will require you to open wide. The rest of the group ordered the Baron and the shrimp, all good, no issues with the cooking whatsoever. Service is fine, friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable, burger and fries and tip under $15.00. Parking is free and it's located across in the large parking lot, it's public parking. It was a great place to make memories for a road trip and spend some quality time with family, I would stop in again.

Bar CHECK, grill CHECK, vegetarian options? Not so much. They do have the obligatory veggie burger, as well as sweet potato fries. An okay beer selection, although no the most extensive in town. It seems to be a very popular place with the locals. I can attest to the fact that Enumclaw as a whole doesn't offer many options for the herbivores, and salads and veggie burgers are almost a sign that the kitchen staff are limited in their knowledge in culinary arts as a whole, but what do I know? I can't eat much of what is on the menu here anyways. If someone visited town and just wanted to grab a few beers and a light snack I might consider stopping here, but if they made something more exciting like a grilled zucchini sandwich or a veggie Alfredo even, I might visit fairly often. Until that day... Meh, I'll wait.

Came here after a long day of hauling stuff off to the dump. Was looking for a quick bite and a drink during a slow part of the day (a little after 3). By the time we left it was almost 5 because of many factors. The waiter forgot to put our appetizers in. By the time we had gotten our check we had been sitting there ready to pay for half an hour. We had to get up and ask for boxes and the waiter wasn't smart enough to bring the check at the same time so we had to get up a second time to ask for that. While another waitress was working on bringing us the bill she was stopping by all the locals sitting at the bar giving them hugs with our check in hand. That made me furious. Sadly the service was not the only poor attribute to this restaurant. We ordered the onion rings which were absolutely delicious. However the bbq sauce I ordered with them tasted more like balsamic vinegar and was very runny. I ordered the fish tacos which came with a miniscule piece of coda and a mountain of romaine lettuce (which should never go on a fish taco). The chowder that came with it was very good. My mom ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was good in flavor but lacking in substance with how little meat was used.

Been going here since they opened and have had only good things to say. This time not so good. Nothing bad with the food but at a place that has always had top notch service I was shocked at the lack of service this past Saturday. So it was Saturday afternoon, on one of the most busy days in our small town. The Cruise Into Fall Car Show. We popped in with some out of town friends for drinks, appetizers and some in our party ordered a full lunch. First of all a nice male server greeted us. I had never have had him before, but to me he seemed flustered. The place was full so I understood that to a degree. He took our drink order......10 minutes go by and still no drinks. He comes by to check on us. We all say we would like to wait for our drinks before deciding on food....another several minutes go by. I think we were now up to a 25 minute wait. Still no drinks. Server comes back to the table and tells us the bar is extremely slow today. He apologizes. He then says "folks I need to take your order so the kitchen can get it started, it's going to be a long wait." Soon after that the first round of drinks came out. My husband watched the server, he took our order but it took him 10 more minutes to actually go to the Point of sale and enter it. It did take a long time for our food. But the place was super busy. All I can say that if Rachel hadn't been working and came to our server's rescue we would have got up and paid the bill and left. Rachel seemed to be the only person working that knew how to hit Wonder Woman mode It seemed to me a long time customer that there was a lack of experience on the team that was on shift Saturday. The people at the table in front of us were not happy as well as the table behind us. You can have good food but if the customer service isn't there it's not a good experience in my book. It's obvious key staff members have left for greener pastures and it was really showing on Saturday. A big Thank You to Rachel though. She backed up our server and all the others and helped save the day!

Came here after a long day of hiking at Mt. Rainier & I was so disappointed in my meal. We ordered the calamari, the steak, & a burger. My steak was dry, not juicy at all. At least the cook on it was right, but it was not a good piece of steak by any means. The calamari was fine. The burger that my boyfriend got was just sad. It had sauteed onions on it & the onions were slimy. The burger bun itself was flat & looked really weird. We also ordered Sierra Mists & for some reason, there wasn't any syrup in our sodas. It just tasted like carbonated water with gross sugar. We complained about it, our server gave us new sodas that tasted exactly the same as the gross sodas we already had. And still charged us for them. The main problem I had with this place is that it's soooo overpriced! Not worth it at all. Thankfully I don't live near Enumclaw so I won't ever be back.

The Rainier Bar & Grill in Enumclaw serves some of the best Rib Eye Steaks, Prime Rib, and BBQ Baby Back Ribs one can find in South King county. The menu & appetizer choices are great and servings are generous. They have a full liquor & mixed drink bar, a good selection of wine, microbrews on tap, and a service staff which is both excellent and friendly. As an Enumclaw resident, I have found this place not only offers excellent food and great service, but it continues to provide a relaxed and fun gathering place for us locals. It is also a must do stop for thirsty & hungry travelers who are on their way to or from Mt.Rainier.

I can't say much about different dishes because I always get the spicy chicken strip salad with blue cheese dressing. I love it!!

  • Jenna M.

Shockingly... The best clam chowder I've had. Shhhhhh... Don't tell my friends in Newport, RI. Cod fish n chips gets 5 stars because of batter and the tartar sauce. Another 5 stars for service, atmosphere and choice of local brews. Oh-even the ice water is good.

The Rainier was a pick for a Saturday lunch by my dad. We were all in the area to go to the local pumpkin patch and wanted some food before we headed over. My dad had been to the Rainier on many occasions with his friends and he said they had a good dinner so we figured their lunch would be pretty good as well. The place was very cute and had a local vibe to it with a long bar and a good amount of seating for large groups. There were five of us and we found a table in the back. We all ordered burgers and fries. I got a cheeseburger and it automatically comes with lettuce, onions, tomato and mayo. I added on BBQ sauce and it was delicious. I ordered mine medium and it had a good amount of pink color throughout which was perfect for me. The fries were good as well, not too over salted and overcooked. They had a good selection of beer as well. Many Seattle places don't even have my husband's favorite beer, Mac & Jacks, but this place did which was great! The staff was really nice and our waiter was great. He kept checking in on us making sure our food was good and asking if he could refill our drinks. We were probably at lunch for a couple hours just chatting and eating. It was a great place to grab a bite to eat.

Great beer selection and Prime Rib is very good! Good place, I will be back! Early to avoid the lines.

There were some interesting decisions made by the kitchen staff at rainier bar and grille. 1) Disappointed that the fried oysters were beer battered instead of traditional cornmeal 2)Also disappointed that there wasn't avocado in the house to add to a sandwich. 3) Au jus for a pulled pork Sammy? 4) corn in the clam chowder Despite all of this, I'd totally be back. Friendly service, great beer. Good times.

This place has a great vibe! I love the richness of the dark wood and the pub style feel. The server was a super friendly local and attentive in her service to our table. I got a buffalo chicken wrap and my colleague got a salad. So many things on their menu looked good and you won't leave hungry the portions are substantial. I don't know that I will ever be in the area when I am not working...but I would love to try their nice selection of beers on tap. If you are passing through on your way to the mountain or in the area this is a great place to stop in for a meal and a cold one.

  • Tres B.

Super friendly bartender and the chinese chicken wrap was truy outstanding! The environs are classic shot gun bar with a nice old bar back and a laid back small town feel. Plain, straight forward, fun. Unfortuantely, as friendly as the bartender was, she forgot about me at the end of the bar, chatting with the local clique at the busier end of the bar. My dish was spicy and I had finished my beer, had to beg for water, and it took forever to get my check, a pet peeve of mine. Ncie place with some guest -care issues.

This place is a winner every time we come. Huge menu with something for everybody, and everything is delicious! My husband had a huge, western bacon burger with two onion rings on it, with Barbeque sauce dripping down. And these onion rings are about an inch and a half thick! I had the Thai chicken wrap, and the wraps are huge. Also served with two big onion rings. The Thai peanut dressing has such a great flavor so I'm sure the salad would be great too. My daughter had the buffalo chicken wrap, and it looked amazing. They also have the salad version of this and the burger version. The decor is special here because the walls are covered with ski photos of local people taken up on Mt. Rainier in the 50s. It's a typical bar and grill feel, but cozy in the winter and fun in the summer too for walking around the little town. Another perk is the cutest boutique next door! Good food and shopping too! I'm hooked. Forgot to mention the garlic fries we ordered as an appetizer! Lots of garlic! My husband loved his fresh local IPA too!

Been there twice now. Love it! I recommend "the Rainer" ribeye. $26 Best steak i've had in awhile. Service is fast and friendly....once you get seated. During peak hours there is a wait. (And no waiting area)

  • Juli D.

Definitely the best place to eat in Enumclaw. I also like going for lunch and getting the "Rainier" sandwich. It's so good, but it's huge, so bring your appetite. Their Blue Cheese dressing is awesome, and anyone that likes blue cheese knows how important it is to share when you find a place that has great salad dressing! Haha I only gave 4 stars because there is a waitress there that we've had a few times, aand she is always rude. Even when it's not crowded, she is horrible!

    (4)
  • John A.

Solid four star restaurant. Everything here is tasty, especially the burgers and other meat options. Great selection of beer also. The only reason I rate it as 4 stars rather than 5 is that it is a rather generic ambiance. Of course that doesn't mean it is unpleasant. Solid site to have a meal and enjoy yourself.

This place was alright. The bar was beautiful though. Had some taps, wasn't too exciting. The food was alright. I had the cajun burger, and it had no kick to it. Just had salt written all over it. Will I go back, maybe?? We will see.

Out of towner trying the local places out. Came here based on a few Yelp ratings. So damn good! Sit at the bar if you can and let the bar staff impress with their knowledge of beers and food. The oyster shooter was my appetizer and dessert. Threw in a few fried oysters too because, well why the hell not!? Kobe burger would have been great but I was already full from the oysters and Clam Chowder. The few bites I was able to force down was well worth the effort. The locals obviously know this place but for us travelers, this is the place to eat in Enumclaw.

We've eaten here 4 times now. Twice the meal was excellent, twice it was ok. The variation in meal impression varies more here (for us) than many other restaurants, perhaps because of the two occasions of near heavenly perfection. So it so happens to be that last night was one of those that spoiled us for the other menu items (or perhaps cook's day off?) .. We had clam chowder, I've never had better ( & I've had clam chowder many times in my 50+ yrs). Great flavor & Minimal flour so it wasn't thick. We shared a seared ahi salad w sesame etc . Very good also. Then we shared baby back ribs which were to die for. So I want " The Ranier" to inform me as to the next time they make these ribs ( it was the day's special). This is not to mention the brilliant young bartender who was cordial and helpful.

Bonnie S 2014 - 2015 Moved to Enumclaw last summer and have been to the Rainier Bar and Grill about seven times. The atmosphere is lively holding an anticipation of good things to come. The service staff is friendly, prompt, knowledgeable and anticipates your needs without being intrusive. The food is upscale down home served with a knowing reverence and confidence. Have eaten family style with grandchildren and all were pleased. My husband and I like to eat at the bar as it is more intimate and well attended by the wait staff giving you the feeling of being royalty though in cowboy boots..... delicious rib eye or sirloin steaks. Highly recommended!!! Curried steamer clams or mussels too. Yum! .

I have to say that the food was amazing. The down side...people that came in after us had their food after my friend and I . We got appetizers witch shouldnt take long at all to make. . The wait staff was very nice but need to be more on top of their game.

Came in to have lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Sat there for 20min before our waiter told us they didn't have the beer we ordered on tap anymore. Took another 10min to get the new beer. Food was ok. Got it about an hour after ordering. Tables next to us came after and got their food first. We were there for two hours.

Took 15 minutes to get a beer, another 40 to get by sandwich in an empty restaurant that only had 2 pieces of meat on it. Horrible service. Not coming back

Pretty well our go to place in Enumclaw, the service is always great and the food is pretty good for a pub. Can get real busy and a bit loud, but is a great place to watch a game and visit with friends.

Good food, good atmosphere, attentive service from very nice people. Lots of great wrap and sandwich options. We would definitely recommend this place for lunch.

I stopped in here on my way back from Rainier a few weeks ago. I tried the salmon cesar salad. It was good. It came with garlic bread that wasn't very good. It didn't really have much taste and seemed stale. I think they need to spruce that up a little more and it would improve the entree. I would go back to this place but it probably wouldn't be my first choice, I would rather try something different.

Mmmmmmm their Ahi Wrap is amazing ! This is my go to lunch whenever I forget to ring one to the office. I've never eaten there, only done take out, but they seem pretty popular since every time I'm there around lunch most of the tables are full. Generally only takes about 10 min from the point that I call to when my order is ready. I will have to try eating in eventually but for now take out Ahi Wrap is the best lunch in town !

The place is small, so expect to wait on the weekends, but don't worry the food is worth it. Waitstaff is very attentive but prices are a little expensive. We usually share a bowl of soup and just get an appetizer. I recommend the calamari, it's awesome.

Love this place! Ribs are amazing. The prime rib is something I dream about. Also the salmon salad is a light and delicious alternative. Great food, good service, wonderful people. My husband and I drive from renton to enumclaw almost once a week to eat here.

Thai chicken wrap was amazing! Friendly fast service, even with it being busy. I'll definitely be going back. Didn't like that one of the waitresses was cheering on Oakland Raiders during the Seahawks v. Raiders game but I guess we all can't be perfect, right? SHE WAS YOUNG she'll learn. But again great place, I highly suggest it.

I ordered the Kobe Burger - medium rare. My wife ordered another regular burger - medium. Both burgers arrived overly-WELL DONE. I showed the server whom did nothing about it. They even charged us full price for everything. Both my wife and I only had about 5 french fries each as our sides. Maybe it was an off day for the cooks but I won't be back to find out. THEIR MENU/FOOD IS OVERPRICED. This was our first and last visit to this place.

My favorite place to eat. Love it here. The only reason I gave it four stars is there is a rude hostess that I have ran into a few times. It is sad when she ruins my experience. I love their wraps, drinks and appitizers. The atmosphere is awesome too.

There's a reason you have to wrestle with locals to get a seat: this place is the bomb! Whether it's the lunch or dinner menu, there is surely something to please everyone. This is a favorite dinner and cocktail destination for us, come join us at the bar! Jill pours 'em well, and with a huge smile. See ya soon!

First of all, anyone who is a bartender and waitress on a busy night and does a kick-ass job of both is worthy of much adulation - I don't remember your name awesome lady with the curly hair, but you rock. Great selection of regional beers and warm and lively atmosphere with fun music will momentarily make you forget the shifty hotel you just checked into down the street (you fell for it, didn't you?). The fish and chips and burger we ordered were awesome, very tasty, and really made this an all around inviting and convivial place to stop for dinner and some brews in Enumclaw.

Not too bad. Read all the reviews before coming in, came in here one night but they were closing so we opted to come another night. Came at the tail end of a rush so our appetizers took a little while. Got the oysters pan fried instead of deep fried and they were mushy probly cuz they were frozen cuz I've had amazing pan fried oysters at other restaurants and made them fresh on a campfire before and they had better texture. Our dinners came right after our appetizer and second round of beers. I had the roasted romaine with salmon and Caesar dressing with roasted capers it was good, a huge salad for $15 the center of my salmon wasn't cooked but I couldn't finish the very last of my food anyways I was so full. My boyfriend ordered the tequila lime grilled chicken sandwich instead of the Cajun burger to be healthier and afterwards I wished we would have gotten him the burger instead. The chicken looked so thin on his sandwich and when he showed me and told me it tasted dry and flavorless it was apparent that they way overcooked the piece of chicken, he didn't even finish, instead he filled up on fries. The cooks looked relieved once the rush was done. We came in at 7 maybe next time we won't hit a rush and things will be a little better for the price. The waitress was good, nothing to complain about there at all.

Good food and spirits. I like their salads, wraps and sweet potato fries. I do agree with others that it is pretty pricey for what your getting. I do like the atmosphere and old bar. Wait staff are really nice but service can be on the slow side at times.

Outstanding Aki Salad with fresh romaine lettuce, fresh tomatoes and a little bit of green onion. The Babyback ribs, half of rack more than enough for one person, no fat, the best my husband has had. The service was friendly and attentive for a busy Labor Day. We will be back when we pass this way!

Very crowded when we went around 8PM, ended up sitting at the bar. It took a while before our orders were taken, then around 15-20 minutes for our entrees to arrive.Their clam chowder was quite good, I liked their Western Bacon Burger being tastier and cheaper than their Kobe Beef Burger. Credit cards accepted.

Dear Rainier Grill, I have frequented you often this past year since our move to the little hamlet known as da Claw. I have tried and tried to enjoy your food, but i am afraid i have lost my patience with itand the people cooking it. It is impossible for certain things on your menu to be tasty and satisfying when they are straight from the freezer section instead of from the hard working family farms in your area. We've tried your burgers, with all the flavour of a frozen Costco burger complete with under cooked burger buns. Ordering half a dozen times, i was lucky to get a medium cooked burger once. Constancy is everything in a burger joint! We've tried the veggie burgers, oh the horror--those little frozen cakes of "natural ingredients" from the frozen section that are luke warm discs in an under cooked bun by the time they arrive to a customer's table. We've tried your wraps...sadly, they were much more romaine lettuce and a lot less flavourful than what your menu promised, and awful pricey for something who's main filler is a cheap industrially grown leafy green. Unbelievably, the chicken wrap i tried had only 6 small pieces of cubed chicken in the whole she-bang! I shoulda ordered a salad for that, and saved a couple bucks. We've tried your fish and chips...those fish went from swimming in water to swimming in grease on our plate. One night, we were really surprised when we tried your special--ribs! They were super! Unfortunately, there was only one order left when we arrived at 6pm. We thought maybe sticking to the specials would win us over, but most times we come in, you are sold out of whatever the offer is well before the end of a shift. Must be miserable for the staff when that happens, as half the time they don't even mention a special at all. That said, the people you hire are friendly and moderately attentive on most occasions and there is always a good atmosphere in the place. Your bar is stunningly beautiful and reminds one of a saloon you'd see in the southwestern U.S--admiring that bar, you could trick your mind's eye into thinking you see Miss Kitty and Marshall Dillon sitting in the back corner with Doc and Festus. Hoping someday, dear Rainier, you will adopt a more sustainable local food policy--something like the restaurant Wild Wheat has in downtown Kent. You could be making a sheer killing with food fresh from the sustainable farms popping up around here--and therein lies the true support of a local economy (aka just 'cause the food distributor has a WA address, doesn't mean the food from there is fresh and locally produced.) If customers stick with your beer (caution: it will cost you about $5 per pint) and a bowl of your clam chowder or a plate of sweet potato fries (that are really made from yams, but still very tasty!), they will leave a happy satisfied customer. Then they will have room in their tummies to treat themselves to some fine Snoqualmie Ice Cream served up by the ever hospitable Toby, owner of Sweet Necessities Your truly, Whit

This is a great place in Enumclaw. They have the best staff!! I love the Southwest Black Bean Burger with sweet potato fries! They have a great Friday dinner special of prime rib that is always a good go to meal. There cocktails are strong, but yummy! They have a great selection of martini's and you can't go wrong with any of them. This place get's super busy on the weekends so there might be a wait time, but people seem to understand so I never wait for very long to get a seat.

After all the great reviews on Yelp had to check this place out. Took the little one and met my brother and sis-in-law for dinner here on a Saturday night - they place was PACKED (good sign). Got seated in about 10 minutes. Our salads were great! My X Martini ($8) was eXcellent (could have drank 1/2 dozen but had to drive, so only 1). Ordered the prime rib - the 8 oz was $17.99 (and it seemed pretty small) was just ok at best (it was very chewy and I ended up throwing it away later cause it was inedible). The horseradish sauce had no kick at all and the au jus was PURE salt (yes, it should be salty but this was like a salt lick). The loaded baked potatoe was just ok and the sour cream was weird tasting. Our waitress was really good. Would I go back? Maybe, for a drink and aKobe burger....

GREAT Kobe burger (with bacon/blue cheese) and OUT OF THIS WORLD clam chowder. Their prices are on par with a place that you wouldn't find in a small town like this one, but the food more then justifies that price. Servers are very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Bartender makes a very strong martini. Parking can be tricky so if you find a spot on the street, take it! The Rainier is always packed, and the weekends can be total chaos. Even with the parking mess and clusterf**k of people, the food is worth the headache.

  • Nick S.

Overpriced for mediocre burgers. If I'm going to spend $14 on a Kobe cheeseburger, I expect it to be pretty good, but the patty was obviously a preformed and frozen patty, and the bun was thin and dry. The fries were good and they had a great beer selection.

This is the best place to eat in town. i was shocked to see the bad reviews. there pulled pork sandwhich is killer, there chowder is really good and i love there western rodeo burner. i have never ate a bad thing here. it is more on the pricey side but worth it for a good lunch or dinner.

Amazing first visit! I highly recommend the bacon blue burger with sweet potato fries. Yum yum!

We stopped here as we came down from Chinook Pass. My wife ordered the special, pulled pork tacos and I had the western burger (held the BBQ sauce). Oh my gawd, it was awesome. The burger was cooked to my taste, med- well, with two large onion rings and fries with a side of Stella beer ! Doesn't get any better than that ! Recommend it highly !

Brought my friends from out of town to this place after coming out of the National Park. The service was pretty good although we ended up feeling like we were being a pain for wanting to eat at the table outside. We thought since they are charging 15 dollars for a bacon burger it must be good. We all ordered medium burgers. They came out well done, dry, bland and seriously inedible. The server agreed with us and took them back no problem. New burgers came back exactly the same. Fish and chips was good not great, the clam chowder was pretty spectacular. Its a bar and grill.. they should know how to cook a burger. Couldn't eat them, very disappointed, hungry friends. Made me sad and kinda soured an otherwise wonderful day.

I wish I didnt have to say this as the Ranier had my favorite burger. But something changed and the burger quality wasnt the same. I could tolerate the prices being so high and the fact the charge an arm and a leg for Kobe beef when there is no real Kobe in the united states we do not import beef from Japan. I also can tolerate the certified wagyu (no such thing, wagyu is Japanese for cow) but the definate change in quality is a killer. I am sad because this was my all time favorite for burgers

Very bad dinner 07/26, waitress brought out main meal before appetizers even touched. Took food taken back they just kept it warm. Burger was nasty and dry, fish and chips greasy , were from enumclaw might not ever go back. Plus way way over priced.

Great atmosphere. Good panini sandwich. Great fries. Warning if you are burger aficionado... Strangest thing. They don't know how to cook their burgers. They never get the doneness right, they don't melt the cheese(!!), and the buns are, well, almost raw. Strangest thing...especially when you are paying $14 for a Kobe burger. I thought it must be a mistake...but the second time, it was the exact same. Next time, I will ask them to put it on the panini press, that should solve the cheese melt and the raw bun. The doneness is just a spin of the wheel!

Great food place! Wonderful service and if you decide to try their 2 pound steamed clams I recommend to share with another person. It comes with a salad and fries and garlic bread. Best meal I've had in a while.

My wife and I have been here 4or 5 times and usually order sometime different off their menu. She had the Kobe steak last time and it was very good, while the fish and chips I ordered were not so great. This trip she ordered the bacon cheese burger and I ordered the buffalo bacon cheese burger. Both of our meals were very good. Burgers were moist and juicy and the fries where crispy. We will continue to return here to eat as long as we can beat the crowds.

We stopped into the Rainier Bar and Grill on the way to our weekend camping trip at Mt. Rainier. We immediately found seats at the bar and began looking over the tap handles. We were certainly impressed for being so far away from Seattle. Everyone found a beer to enjoy and then we ordered some clam chowder which was amazing. We then enjoyed their cheese burgers with sweet potato fries. While we didn't get the Kobe burgers, which I guess they are pretty well known by (according to the locals), we thought the burgers were top notch. We'll definitely be back here in the winter when we travel to/from skiing Crystal Mountain. The service was great and so was the food!

Great Place!- The service staff was friendly and attentive, made excellent recommendations and the food was really tasty. I had a cheeseburger w/fries,my partner had a soup & salad lunch. Cheeseburger was perfect, pink in the middle, gooey cheese and a grilled bun, very generous order of fries. The soup was chicken chili with large chunks of chicken breast and clearly made from scratch. The salad was also very generous, chunks of blue cheese in the dressing also tasted as if freshly made. Reccomend - especially after a day of skiing.

I echo the comment of the previous reviewers, definitely best of Enumclaw. The restaurant was busy during lunch hour and had significantly more traffic than the three other places that I went to this week for lunch. In this economy, I believe that's a testament to the quality of food served. The menu has standard bar and grill food with burgers, wraps, salad, and fried items. However, the execution of these mundane items was excellent. The halibut with sweet potato fries was very nicely battered. I wanted the tried the lunch special grilled halibut but it was out by 12:30~again showing the popularity of this restaurant.

Drinks are ok. The Ahi salad was less than to be desired. Calamari was overly breaded, ambiance, very loud. Wouldn't go back anytime soon, but in desperation maybe. Wait staff is horrible.

Just went there again for lunch, and I had the Spicy Thai Chicken Wrap again. Again - the onion rings that come with the wrap are to die for! Still one of the best places in town!

For all you skiers out there, or any who visit Mount Rainier, this is a great dinner stop on your way home to Seattle or the North Sound region. This is a palace of meat, but they do have some vegetarian options. Their burgers are 1/2 lb. of yummy meat (buffalo or beef), plus fabulous bacon, bleu cheese, you name it, they have it. Be careful to tell them how you want your burger cooked or it will come done. Our table was lulled into silence by the burgers we had. The fries are actual cut-up potatoes, nicely crisp with a seasoning salt. They also offer a wonderful steak wrap, cooked to order, with to-die-for onion rings, just 2 per order. You don't need more than 2, they are big but beautifully prepared and not obscene. If meat isn't your thing, they also have fish, salads, chicken--the whole shebang, and all prepared with much thought and care. This isn't some ol' backwater bar and grill, they know food here, and the locals know it too. So be sure to come early (like 5:30), call ahead or be prepared for a wait. It was crowded on a Tuesday evening, and by 7pm there were people waiting outside.

I'm sorry, but this place is over hyped and way over priced for what you get. $75 for three hamburgers, fries and a couple of beers - please! Burgers were good but nothing to justify the price.

The fact that the Lee has better ratings than the Rainier is quite scary although I haven't been to the Lee in a while. The Rainier is officially my new favorite place in the Claw. Mostly because of the beers they have on tap but their food was also great. I had the soup and salad lunch and the clam chowder was excellent. That with a Mac & Jack and a Lagunitus and I'm a happy guy. My mom had the Kobe burger and said it was amazing...although she liked Waterworld so take that how you want to. The waitress was very knowledgable and attentive and the setting was quite comfortable. The upgrades they did here a few years back was very well done but the Ski Inn now has the dive bar market cornered in Enumclaw. I'll be back as often as possible.

This place was my favorite but the last 3 time I went the food was undercooked and the steaks didn't seem to be as high a quality as they once were. Even the burgers have suffered. I sent a burger back because it was RAW and I had ordered it medium rare. I know the difference. When it returned it was cremated! I mean NO JUICE LEFT, BLACK, HARD, I guess the cooks don't like to be questioned. Anyway I couldn't and didn't eat it. It was taken off my bill but I have not been back since. I've lost trust.

Great food. This is my favorite place to eat in Enumclaw. Their ribs are to die for, but only served Thursdays (I think Mondays now too). I like them so much I had a friend pick some up right after my son was born so I wouldn't miss out on the Thursday night special. My wife loves the wraps. Our favorite desert is the bread pudding. Joey the chef knows what he is doing back there. I wish they had a few more beers on tap but they always have at least one of my favs. Oh and the diversity of what they are playing is always nice. From Ski videos to Football, they usually have something good on.

One of the best places in Enumclaw. Prices on the higher side, but the food is worth it. Very busy on the weekends. Half Bar and half restaurant and open seating, so maybe not the best atmosphere for young families. Can get loud and boisterous at night. Best Salads in Enumclaw! Service is just OK, as they get very busy and then it's hit or miss.

My husband and I just came down from driving my visiting parents around Rainier and we were all pretty hungry. I found this place using the Yelp app on my iPhone. We were all very happy. My husband and I had cheeseburgers, my dad got the cod fish and chips, mom got the chicken fingers. Dad said the fish was great and the chips were nicely seasoned. Mom enjoyed her breaded chicken fingers. She said they were easy on her tummy. I had the Western BBQ Burger which was lovely. It was huge. I had a very hard time getting my first bite and there was enough BBQ sauce that if I wasn't careful I would've worn it all. It was a very yummy burger that I couldn't set down until I finished it because the sauce made a big puddle on my plate. Since they were out of sweet potato fries I got the side salad. The side salad consisted of lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and dressing of your choice. It was lovely. It really hit the spot. The BBQ sauce was surprisingly sweet, but pleasant. My husband started with the hot wings. He said the hot wings were lightly breaded and had a nice solid Frank's RedHot flavor. For dinner he got the bacon blue cheeseburger. He said the burger was great except it was calling for more sauce. He wasn't sure if there was some kind of mayo or what but he just used his leftover blue cheese dressing from his side salad on his burger and it was excellent. We had a great experience at Rainier Bar & Grill. I'm sure my husband and I will go back to visit again. It was wonderful to have some good American food for my visiting folks. They aren't used to the variety of cuisines we have in Seattle, and really appreciated the break.

I have only recently started enjoying all that this place has to offer! From appetizers to dessert and drinks in between I have never had an issue here and everything is fantastic. My only complaint would be with the venue itself it gets so busy that it can get crowded while wait for table, but in all its oh so very worth it.

We had a Kobe burger and a salad. Both were good. Half a burger was enough though, not just for me, but for most people out there in the world. Really, it's more than enough.

Easily one of the better places in the Enumclaw area, including Covington, Maple Valley, and Black Diamond. It doesn't seem to matter what day of week you go, there will be a five to twenty minute wait for a table - a testament to their food and service I'm thinking. The food is great, though we mostly stick with the Kobe Burgers (why mess with a good thing). They have a good beer selection, the atmosphere is great, and the kids enjoy it. Definite five star.

I was pleasantly surprised by this cool old pub with great food out in the middle of nowhere/farmland WA. Admittedly, I am a Northern Cali "foodie"...so the expectations were not high. HOWEVER....everything about this little "hole-in-the-wall" was stellar from the great local beers on tap (love that Mac & Jac's African Amber) to the friendly/prompt service by our waitress, to the prices/portions/food! Awesome! Granted, this place seems to be known for its RED MEAT dishes (and yes, they use KOBE beef!) and I did see plenty of those pass by our table, but since we had sat in our car most of the day AND had a big lunch at Full Sail Brewery (that is another review) in Hood River, we opted for a couple of pints and 2 salads with grilled fish atop. HUGE SALADS and we could not finish them, but fresh fish, cooked properly and NO ICEBERG LETTUCE! Yeah! If I am ever back this way again, I would definitely return! I have to say that we also enjoyed the old photos on the wall and the true pub feel.

My fiance and I stopped here on our way back from skiing so we were just passing through. It had a great "bar" feel to it and from the black and white photos on the wall, it looked like a great history as well. We really liked the feel of the place. The menu had a huge selection and we had a hard time choosing. Great variety of burgers, sandwiches and classic bar entrees. We went with a couple of the 1/2 lbs burgers. They were huge but they were really overcooked. We weren't asked how we wanted them cooked but they were about an inch think and cooked well all the way through. This left them dry and tasteless. There were enough other toppings to make the burgers enjoyable but overall they were a big disappointment. The service wasn't great, but wasn't particularly bad either. The Seahawks game was starting so the place was full so I give them the benefit of the doubt. Excellent selection of beer on tap (about 10-15 taps). We really wanted to like this place but our entrees were disappointing. We would go back again to give it another try as there were lots of things other than burgers that sounded really good.

This place is the best restaurant in Enumclaw, hands down! The food is always fresh and superbly prepared. The service is top notch and everyone, including the patrons, are friendly and want you to have a good time. Come prepared to eat.

Nice little bar and grill in downtown Enumclaw. We love going here with our friends. They usually have good beer on tap and many time that we have gone, we have seen the bagpipers come in and play! That is always a good time and not something you see at most bar and grills. Another thing that makes Enumclaw great! If you go here, and it happens to be on the nights when they are serving prime rib, you MUST get it! It is awesome! They also have great clam chowder.
