Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The two girls behind the counter were great. Cute exterior and interior. Delicious pastries and coffee. Definitely stop by if you need a break before or after Mount Rainier!

The Cottage Bakery is a really great little place in Eatonville. Their sandwiches are great. Very good quality coffee drinks, much better than Starbucks. Pastries are top notch and all hand made in house. The pâte à choux for their eclairs was perfect and the chocolate ganache and pastry cream is wonderful They have a great selection of items from the classic muffins (giant) and cookies (also giant) to fruit tarts and lots of items I've never even heard of, but are great! Did I mention their huge cinnamon buns? We like the place so much we had our 9 yr old daughters birthday party there. They went all out with cookies the kids could frost and decorate themselves to wonderful little finger sandwiches. The owner really went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect! Definitely a must visit place if you are ever in the area!

This place looks real nice, but I am very disappointed with the lunch I got from them. They forgot to give me chips in my lunch, the mocha was too choclatey and the pretzel bun pulled pork tasted awful. However, the service staff were very nice and friendly. Coincidentally, I'm seeing all these great reviews for there pastries. Perhaps maybe I will get one and see how they taste, maybe I'll change my review entirely.

The Cottage Bakery has a nice selection of delicious baked goods and a lot of seating. I especially like the ambiance (very homey) and the upstairs area which offers a nice view of the neighborhood. In case you're curious but don't want to look upstairs, there are two tables (with at least seating for 4 at each) and a small floor sit-down area for children. Everything looked well managed (extra napkins plus salt & pepper in little baskets at the center of each table) and clean. As for what to get, I will vouch for the: Apple Coffee Cake, Cream Cheese Muffin, Lemon Bar (huge), and Blackberry Tart. Out of everything that I ordered, the Blackberry Tart was by far my favorite! Be forewarned, their "fruit" smoothies are cloyingly sweet, so much so that I had to pour mine out. Next time I find myself back in Eatonville, I'll make sure to try their coffee instead. Regardless, the pastries alone are worth the stop!

Really good food. I had a turkey panning that was off the hook. Caesar wrap was great too. Super friendly service with small town feel. Cute little house right off the main drag. We will stop again

I love this place! I am a huge fan of their bacon maple claws as well as their jalapeno cheese mini bagel pizza things. (Not sure what they are exactly called...) They also make good mochas and are very friendly. My only word of warning is do not go in right after "church hours" on the weekends because the place gets super packed and you have to wait in a really long line:( Oh, and lastly....the turkey cheddar bacon Panini is HEAVEN! v

Nice little bakery and cafe. The Turkey sandwich that I had was good (and yes I received my chips). I had one of there apple baked very good, which also was very nice. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was good. I am not sure the sandwiches would draw me back, but the bakery goods were tasty would entice me to visit again.

We were on our way home from Elbe with our 4 boys 6 years old and younger, who were all starving might I add you! My wife spots this place out of the corner of her eye and I'm glad she did!!! This little place has amazing home made good at a reasonable price! The 6 of us at for a little over $50!!! The boys had grilled cheese and peanut butter and jellies, their meals came with a juice box and fruit snacks. My wife and I both had the chicken pesto panini, it was delicious! We sat out on the deck but they have quite a few seats inside as well! It also only took about 10 minutes which is perfect when you have 4 little ones who are always hungry! Love this place and can't wait to go back!!!

We stopped here on the way Northwest Trek. I had the sundried tomato and turkey panini. It was delicious. Often times I find that when I order a panini somewhere that it isn't heated all the way through. This sandwich came out hot with oozing melted cheese. We also tried the strawberry-rhubarb cobbler, it was decent. The drawback: When we first arrived there all of the windows were closed and it was just starting to get busy. As they started making more sandwiches the place became a little stuffy and smokey. They opened the windows once we were towards the end of our lunch, you know, after we already smelled liked a grilled sandwich.

Stumbled across this cafe today; hate to admit it but was merely looking for a WIFI connection so I could un-mess myself in terms of the location I was actually looking for. My question was answered with a friendly "yes". While I was there, out of a sense of fairness, duty, and hunger, I got coffee and a sandwich - both were outstanding. I decided that I was in no hurry to leave, and ordered a pastry as well, equally as good - house made I'm sure. Not a standard issue cinnamon twist. The only bummer was my empathy over the sadness in people's voices when they entered and found their personal favorite treat was sold out. (It was close to closing time, after all) I must have heard maple bars asked for at least three times. When I go back, not if, I'll be there earlier and I'll be hunting for an apple fritter - after reading other reviews - as it is my bane. The young lady working the counter was as helpful with my quest for directions as she could be. Genuinely friendly and upbeat. She helped get me off to where I should have been, but all roads to Mount Rainier now lead by the Cottage Cafe as far as I'm concerned.

It looked like such a great bakery and I had read about their "fabulous cakes and pies". I got a bacon maple bar, a coffee cake square and an apple cookie/square with streusel. All of them were very pretty, although they were also pretty pricey at 9 dollars for the three of them. I'm an "eater". I like to eat, but the bacon maple bar was so powdery and dry I had to stop after three bites, and the apple bar (despite being moist and cold from refrigeration) was also powdery???!!! How they managed to make that powdery taste stick despite the moisture from the apples puzzled me all the way to the trash can. My kid ate half the coffee cake before throwing it out, too. The pastries really are pretty and the rustic ambiance was nice. The girl behind the counter was nice and she had very nice nails, something I had lots of time to notice as she tried to ring me up without hurting her colorful french tips. Wish the food was equally nice.

I just wanted to post a review for all my fellow non-dairy milk drinkers. They have several options including rice, almond and soy milk. I had an almond milk cappuccino and thought it was perfect. The baked goods looked and smelled delicious but I eat a whole foods plant based diet so I didn't partake. But my fellow hikers said it was all delicious!

Amazing donuts and breakfast sandwiches on Crescent Rolls. We stop there all the time on our way to Mount Rainier.

I'm a big fan of this new bakery here in town, especially their Apple Fritters (which everyone else seems to be a fan of lately as well because they run out FAST). These things are as big as your head for under 2 dollars! I've literally shared one with four people once and we were all happily full. They also sell Madrona coffee which is local and wonderful. They have lots of the standard bakery fare and it's all always good quality, never old or dried out and always tasty. I haven't tried many of their more savory choices but they do have them. They also do some lunch type fare, breads, drinks (espresso and bottled type stuff), and have a friendly staff. Quick, good prices, and good food, what more could a girl need!?

Stopped in to wait out the clouds on our way up to Rainier today. The apple fritters were HUGE and looked great so we took a chance. It was amazing and we ate it all day. Seriously, it's the size of a football! Salesperson was super nice as well.

This is a great little spot, especially for lunch after NW Trek! We had sandwiches/paninis that were really good! We also had good blended coffee drinks. And yes, the apple fritter is great! Big enough to feed 4 of us! Finally, friendly service!

The best! On our way to Mt. Rainier, stopped to do the great gift shops across the street and then had a spatacular paninni, so big, took half of it up the mountain, still delicious cold. Great combinations of food items makes it so tasty. Will be back!

Delicious berry salad with candied pecans. Topped it off with some amazing desserts. Terrific food in a small town!

On our way to Mt. Rainier we stopped here for a quick stop. We made a quality choice. They make their baked goods in house. We had a scone and a donut, and both were a hit. The decor is pleasant and there are plenty of places to sit. They have an extensive drink menu. They also have a huge selection of sandwiches. If we come this way at lunch time we will totally stop and try the sandwiches.
