Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

Great food, a great selection of drinks, and friendly people make this one of the best places to eat in Bremerton, period. I was never disappointed when I would get my lunch here, and I miss it terribly now that I've moved away. The variety of sauces they offer with the fries and chicken strips is impressive and delicious--my favorites would have to be the garlic wasabi mayo, the Thai peanut sauce, and the honey mustard. It's a tad more money than, say, eating at the Subway right behind it, but it's money well-spent, trust me.

Novel concept, good fries (not great), variety of sauces & beers. The shop is a little small, but definitely a fun and tasty thing to try in Bremerton.

The only establishment I've been to in Bremerton deserving of five stars. Great fried foods, Great dipping sauces, rotating beers on tap. This place doesn't offer a ton but the things they do offer are great. After a long day at work and a crowded ferry boat ride this place is like an oasis of ethanol and grease beckoning to me.

  • Nancy L.

The fries here were really good. Nice and piping hot with really good dipping sauces. But of course, as you get to the tip of the cone that they serve the fries in, it gets a little greasy. They give you small little sauce cups that upon the first look, you think "that's all the sauce I get?", but trust me, even with massive dips into the sauce, there's plenty of sauce to go around. One other note, if you're driving and you're trying to find this place...My advice is to park and walk there. It's a pain in the butt to find if you're trying to find it by car, especially with all the one way streets that go nowhere but to the ferry terminals.

Just the thing I needed after a long ferry ride from Seattle. Best fries outside of Belgium. Sitting outside in the sun, sipping a Stella and eating some Belgian Fries. That's life.

If there's one huge thing that my girlfriend and I can agree on, it's our undying love for all foods with the words "fried", "fries", or "potatoes" in them. The top of the list is Fries. We've never tried Belgian-cut fries before, so when we went to Fritz, we were looking to be blown away. We were blown away and then some. The fries are cooked right when you order instead of sitting under a heat lamp all day. And they're mixed and seasoned right there with your choice of sauces. The Thai Peanut Satay was something I wanted to try, but we opted for our good ol' friend Ranch. The sauces are definitely the things that'll keep me coming back. I'm not too much of a beer drinker, so I can't comment on the selection of the beers, I just know that this'll definitely be the place to go if you're craving some insanely good fries and a good brew. Right along the ferry terminal in Bremerton, it's well worth the parking I paid at the garage for.

  • Eric B.

Limited menu, good beers, excellent fresh cut French fries. Favorite dipping sauces included the curry mayo and Thai peanut. Fish and chips were average. Great if you're stuck waiting for the ferry or are looking for a quick nosh after disembarking.

Awesome little fry place located in the Harborside District next to the ferry terminal. If you like fried chicken or fish, a great bratwurst, or even a fried candy bar, this is your place. Lots of great dipping sauces and beers to go with your meal. The employees are top-notch too!

  • Aileen T.

I've only been here once, but it left a lasting impression. The fries are delicious and the dipping sauces are such a great break from the norm. They should definitely expand.. to say.. san diego, ca =)

Beer & Frites is what the Fritz European Fry House offer. Offering the best of both worlds they say. Located @ the Bremerton Harbourside by the WA State Ferries. Serving fresh made fries Belgian Style that aren't frozen.... They are served with a bountiful array of dipping sauces made on-site from favorites like ranch & bbq to unique imaginative ones like Thai Peanut sauce even a Hot/Spicy sauce for a kick. ADD some Seasalt and Garlic for added flavor combo! Belgian Brew is where its @ to even more satisfy your Palate, they have a couple on tap for your pleasure!!..your beer is served in a goblet.. they even have bottles of Lindemans Framboise~all the flavors too!! Raspberry Lambic is my Favorite! They have indoor & outside seating, viewing a Fountain that shoots a nice little water show with nice ambient music playing in the background. Fritz European Fry House may have the Most Perfect Fries, Made with Quality Control. The way their sopposed to taste..Yummy Goodness...

    (5)
  • Panda G.

The fish and chips were tasty but the sauces make the meal. They also had a few Lambic flavors available for those like myself that dont drink beer.

  • Michael B.

Although fries are their specialty, you can order anything on the menu and the quality will still be high. Had a burger today. The bun held up well and the fries and sauces were delicious as always. The price and wait are higher than a typical fast food joint, but the overall quality more than makes up for it.

  • Alex T.

I love this place! I've been going here on and off ever since they first opened, and I've never had a problem. I really enjoy the large selection of beers, and I've always loved their selection of dipping sauces. It's just a nice place to go if you're early/getting off the ferry and you want to enjoy a drink and some fries while looking at the waterfront.

    (5)
  • Ashley L.

Good beer. The fries were okay (good enough to eat them) but took kind of long to get them...and they were kind of soggy, not very crispy which is how I personally like them.

  • Malibu S.

If only I lived in Bremerton, I would stop here more often. Excellent beer and fries made fresh per order. I love their variety of dips. My favorite is the red pepper mayo. It's a mayo with red bell pepper that tastes sweet like it was baked. YUM! Fish and chips are great too. Staff is always friendly. The place is small but cozy, they do have outdoor seating. Menu is limited but the variety of sauces are sure to please.

  • Ian L.

I have never tasted fries so delicious period. Local beers on tap and delicious craft beers in bottles from around the world to pair with your deep fried burger, sausage, chicken, fish, or sweet potato fries. Its a few steps away from the ferry and a perfect place to fill up before a boat ride. If you're from the Seattle side, its a great jumping off point to where ever you're headed. Not for the carb counters though but there is Gluten free options even in the Beer.

Bremerton is not exactly the home of great food. There is one five-star restaurant and one four star restaurant, and two three star restaurants between the city limits of Port Orchard and the central area of concentration of Silverdale, i.e., north of Bucklin Hill Road. Everything else is a two or a one star in that area. Wait a second, let me amend that, I think there might be only one three star restaurant. You get the point. Fritz's really stands out, though, the fries are excellent--one of a half a dozen or so places I truly believe that about, actual potato and the grease, well, whatever they use it is probably bad for you but it isn't transfats, so good enough. The fish is superb, however, and I recommend it--the chicken is also extremely nicely cooked and delectable. The winning point is the huge sauce collection. The downside? Eh, it's ridiculously tiny and I'd like the interior to be kept warmer for when you're chilled to the bone in cold and endlessly chilly Bremerton. Also the beer selection is, while probably the best of Bremerton, something that could definitely be spiced up by more microbrews and stouts. If they move to a larger location (without going in debt and folding), crank the heat up (also without going in debt and folding) and start stocking more local microbrews, that'd make Bremerton a two-five-star town. And god is Bremerton ever a town, no matter how big it actually is.

This place smells terrible, and their fries taste rancid. I'd get a headache if I stayed inside too long. I don't remember what kind of dip I ordered. I just remember the fries. They were insanely salty and tasted like rancid oil. I seem to remember them also being expensive. And I love fries.

    (2)
  • David H.

I love Fritz's. The beer is great and the fries are outstanding. Try the Wasabi mayo dipping sauce. It's tasty.

  • Tina P.

After an afternoon tour of the Turner-Joy battleship in the harbor (well worth the $10 fee), we stopped in to Fritz' for some fries. The counter gal was friendly without being annoying, the fries were hot, fresh and tasty, and the selection of sauces was interesting. We tried the honey-dijon and the red pepper parmesan--both were good. They should add melted cheese, brown gravy and a few other standards to their topping list but overall it was a good experience and we would return.

I enjoy going to Fritz's for a great lunch in downtown bremerton. Sadly, since I'm heading here during working hours, I do not partake in any of the amazing looking beers they have. But, they do have a fantastic beer menu - some local stuff as well as European beers. The fries, as mentioned in all the other reviews, are excellent. I especially love it when it's sweet potato fry time of year (fall). The chicken baskets or fish baskets are ok. Nothing too special...haven't had the opportunity to try the sausages yet. The one downside to this place is if you eat inside (or wait inside for an extended period of time), the grease smell sticks to you. And then you smell like Fritz's the rest of the day. This just hasn't happened to me - but to several of my co-workers as well (which was nice to confirm as I though it was just me who smelled! :-) ) If you don't want to have "the normal" - Fritz's is definitely worth a stop.

Went a few days ago. Good food, what you would expect. We had takeout so the fries not as crisp once home, but I bet would be great at the restaurant.

I had been wanting to try this place for an extremely long time and one night I really didn't feel like making dinner so my boyfriend suggested we head out for fish and chips (yay! I should not make dinner more often!) The store is tiny and it was pretty busy for a weeknight but we did manage to find a couple of bar stools in the corner to devour our fish and chips. These were some of the best fish and chips I'd ever had - the fish was super moist and we loved all four of the dipping sauces we were able to try. I'd like to come back on a nice summer night when we can use their patio and bring the puppy.

  • Carly M.

I have been wanting to try this place since I moved here and finally tried it with my friend! The special was a bacon burger and it was super good! The fries were really great too! All the dipping sauce choices seemed to be spicy and I am not a huge spicy fan so I had to get the BBQ and Creamy Dill Ranch. The BBQ was a typical BBQ sauce and the Creamy Dill Ranch was awesome, just really wish there was more of a choice. My friend got the Curry Ketchup and a Jalapeno one(don't remember the name), both were not very good. The Jalapeno one was way too spicy even with a small amount and the Curry Ketchup tasted funny. My friend got a beer and she loved it. The only other complaint was that the drinks don't come with the baskets. Other than the drink thing and he sauce choices it was awesome. I will defiantly be making more trips here!

The fish and chips rival any post-pub place in the UK. Most notable is their selection of in-house made dipping sauces. The Wassabi-Garlic sauce was delicious! If you are not used to fried foods, don't eat an entire order of fish and chips by yourself. It is best shared. The staff was friendly and was glad to walk me through the different sauces, and even gave me a small sample of Irish Death, which I had never tasted before. Have a tap beer with your fish and chips in this welcoming fry house.

  • Hared H.

Great Place to grab a beer and some eats when taking the ferry. Its become a sort of pregame tradition with me and the boys before Sounder games and a great place to go with the wife and kids as well. The Maui coconut porter is a must have.

  • j s.

I give this place 5 stars not only for the food, but also for the owner-Andy. Andy's a great guy and makes you feel welcome. Fries are great and there are so many dipping sauces to choose from. will definitely come back whenever we're in Bremerton.

  • Aaron R.

Wow. This high of ratings for nothing fresh, all frozen sysco quality food. I even got the bottom of the bag of fries served to me...you know, all the little pieces that end up in the bottom that broke off in the bag. I can get this stuff at denny's.

    (1)
  • David N.

I have to go with Aaron R. on this one - if your are aching for deep-fried SYSCO food, this is the place to go. The various sauces add much needed variety to the fries, and as such they are this places only redeeming quality.

  • Glen M.

Without a doubt, the best fish and chips on the Peninsula. The fries are a belgian twice-fried style in unique oil, making them crispy on the outside and soft (but still cooked!) on the inside. The dipping sauces are widely varied, including curry mayo, thai peanut, and so many more. The menu is small, with only five (last I checked) entrees. But each is outstanding. This place is a mainstay with shipyard workers and really anyone downtown on lunch, but even at it's busiest you are waiting long for your food. Table space is something else entirely... They also have a fine selection of local and imported Belgian beers, including some of their own brewpub, Der Blokken.

  • Tee D.

Had the brat and an extra cone of fries here...amazing :D the star removal is for lack of good seating, poor menu organization, and overall atmosphere... however, this is still one of my favorite places because they have kept true to their great tasting fries since they opened. My favorite dip is still the curry mayo, however they have about twenty to choose from. their fries are crispy and delicious, but not too crispy and also not too floppy. great for dipping in those sauces! and 4.50 a pint for beer aint bad :D

  • Kevin P.

After reading reviews, I had to stop by this place. I've seen passing by this place for a while without caring to go inside. Fries? You mean just fries? Well whatever, this place is pretty freaking rad. I stopped by here to see what the commotion was all about before heading onto the ferry. The place is pretty small, but has indoor and outdoor seating. The interior has a nice feel to it. This place specializes in fries, but also serve a "couple" other things. They have about 10 dipping sauces on the menu which vary from ranch to thai peanut to wasabi garlic. I want to love this place, but nothing really stuck out at me. Yeah there's beer, yeah there's fries. W00t? Can't say I loved it. It's good to have something different in Bremerton though!

Ya' know when you're traveling, and you get hasseled about your tickets, or you can't find a seat on the plane or train, or in this case ferry, and you're wondering why you left home in the first place? But then you find a place that makes it all worth the effort. That is Frtiz's. We found it after a ferry ride at rush hour and had the fish & chips and a nice big glass of Stella Artois. Mmm is right. The food is fresh and wonderful and the beer just goes so well with the blustery days there. If I lived near Bremerton, I'd be in there once a week for sure.

  • Ted P.

MMMM beer. MMMM potatoes. And damn good sauces. No, really the sauces were interesting enough to make it worth stopping in. The guy working there was pretty cool and didn't laugh at us too much for saying that we were curious enough about the place to more or less drive from Tacoma to check it out. It's a little hard to find and kinda small on the inside... but MMMM potatoes. And BEER!

    (4)
  • Nick G.

Pretty decent place. They're really proud of their beer selection and after talking to the locals they are very happy with the beer as well. Since I'm not big on beer I can only comment on the venue and food. The burgers were overall pretty good! They were drowned in a dark beer and had great flavoring... something I had never considered before so I might have to try it at a BBQ sometime. The fries were perfect consistency and the sauce selection was pretty awesome. Not too much seating available and the fast food esque environment spurned the 3-star rating. Bring a date for a quick bite to eat but don't expect too much more than you would at McDonalds.

    (3)
  • Mel O.

tasty...but the delicious greasiness makes my tummy hurt. If you want fried food...you're in luck...bremerton has fried food that can compete with the deep fried south....this establishment is in the top three for deep fried, heart stopping(literally) goodness. i recommend that you give it a go...life is too short and fried food is too good.

  • K N.

YUM! I love having options in dipping sauce. Their ranch and tartar were amazing. Anytime I need a fix for chicken strips, I'm going here. The breading was thin and even, just how I like it. I wouldn't JUST get the fries here because, after all, they're just fries.

    (5)
  • Susie C.

Amazingly good french fries, incredible dips, (red pepper parmesian is the bomb) delicious imported beers. Andy is very friendly and likes to talk to his customers. He's perfectly happy serving up his 3 baskets of friend foods, (chicken, fish, or bratwurst) and finding out about the locals. He's in a good spot for a lot of business, people walking by off and on the ferry, but the shop is small. Not a lot of sitting room, but there is the option to sit outside when it's nice. Great place to go and have a beer and catch up with a pal!

    (4)
  • Adrian R.

Fritz is pretty much essential for grabbing a quick bite to eat and a beer while waiting for the ferry. Their sauces are delicious. Their beer is great. There's outdoor seating that looks right out on the ever amusing fountain that Bremerton paid way too much for. Good service. Can be a little slow sometimes, I find myself looking at my watch every 5 seconds to make sure I make it to the ferry in time. I just went there for the first time in a few months and had a small cone of fries with Jalapeno Mayo and some Irish Death and found them to be just as good as I remember.

After spending a day on the lake, my son and I stopped in to Fritz to get some food before catching the ferry back to Seattle. Make no mistake, this place is about fried, deep-friend. If that's what you're craving, you've come to the right place. Fritz's fries are really good. I had their fish, which was hot, flakey and cooked perfectly. My son had their burger, which had that great "meat" taste. Their dipping sauces are inventive and tasty. I recommend the red pepper paremsan and curry. This isn't somewhere I'd go every day, but when you're really in the mood for deep-fried, Fritz definitely gets it done.

Food and portions were excellent! Add in the wide variety of dipping sauces! A+ Will definitely be back! Very close to the ferry terminal for those just visiting Bremerton. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Limited seating but outdoors on a beautiful day was lovely for us!

  • Jarelle J.

Terrible place, waited a long time for a huge waste of money. My coworker and I ordered fish and chips. The couple who ordered after us got their food 20 minutes before us and they ordered a chicken basket, you do the math on the time it really takes to make fish compared to chicken. Our fish were over cooked and our fries weren't all the way cooked. And to put the icing on the cake, we got sick and spent the whole night on the toilet. Almost forgot to mention that both cooks were so stoned we almost walked out.

  • Chris P.

Excellent burgers and fries! Quick & friendly staff. Love all the sauce options. Was a far better option to the carnie food here at the "Blackberry Festival". Which was surprisingly void of blackberries.

  • Nick S.

For a fried food coma, either coming off the ferry or from Puget, you cant really go wrong. I've gone there 3 times now, cant really go wrong with a burger. Sure the place is very small and on hot days you'll walk in and feel like your lungs are being coated with grease, but what are you going to do. They fry everything in front of you, but keep in mind they can only fit two people in the back and there are only 2 fryers, so there is always a little wait, even when they aren't too busy. Therefore I would never go there at the lunch rush (~12:30) or with a group larger than 4 ... other wise, go get your fry on.

  • Leah V.

I heard about this place and finally stopped in on a Sunday evening when I missed the ferry to Seattle. The day was hot and the guy behind the counter was doing a great job despite that and running low on supplies. I had the basic burger and fries and soda. I am sad that they don't have a rosemary mayo dipping sauce, I really miss that from the frites place I used to love in Seattle, which shut down. I make my own though, so I'll live. I loved the art, it happens to be by an artist I'm already a fan of and it brought back some fond memories. The food was great and I can't wait to try the waffles and some other burgers and more frites sauces! Super happy they have outdoor seating too.

I think this place could benefit from a name change. I'm not sure exactly what I would call it -- maybe "Burger Bistro" or just "Fry House" because they really do have awesome fries . . . something along those lines, but to call it a "European Fry House" suggested to me that they had a lot of European Fried food. They have Belgian Fries which we didn't try (I believe they were strips of Belgian waffles) and I think some German sausage and sauerkraut, but that's about it for anything across the pond. I got a burger with mushrooms and caramelized onions that was really delicious! I didn't ask for anything specific when I ordered, but next time I go back I'll see if she can cook it a little less. It was definitely well done. As for the fries and sauces -- as others have mentioned, they are the crowning jewel of the place. The peanut sauce and the curry mayo sauce were quite tasty!

Everything about this place is incredible! The oils used to cook the fries to perfection is on point and the amount of salt isn't overwhelming. The beer on tap is local and the Red is delicious! Don't let the size of this place fool you or give you doubts, it's great. The only reason I can't give this a full 5 stars is that the print on the wall that is screaming to be part of my new apartment is cash only and it's my last time heading this way while they're open.

Omg this place is life changing! Belgian fries are freaking amazing!!! Chicken strips are not anything to rave about...just very basic chicken strips. The fries however are simply out of this world. I ordered a chicken strip combo with a LARGE fry instead of whatever size it comes with and the lady warned me that the large would be good for 2 people...I was waiting for the ferry and nearly ate all of them! They are THAT good. The sauces are pretty noteworthy too. I chose the dill ranch which is pretty basic but good nonetheless and the curry mayo which is pretty good too. The star of the show is definitely the fries so if you're up for a quick snack, stop by fritz cause you surely won't regret it!

There is nothing Belgian about this place. Overpriced, mediocre quality food. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they had no other option.

The food is great fried food but overpriced which I suppose is normal for being next to ferry terminal. If you have a hankering for fried and are in the area, eat here. We did have some issues with the staff. We ordered two beers and had paid and the staff served people behind us their beers of the same, but ignored us. It was nice because we could sit outside and eat with the dog!! We had the German sausage and chicken strips is what my partner had and he quite enjoyed them! All in all good fried food. The customer service does need some TLC to be more customer oriented and maybe more organized.

I wouldn't say I had ridiculously obnoxious expectations for the place, but sadly, they didn't meet any of them. Fritz's is located right next to the Bremerton ferry terminal, and you'd think that would mean they'd have plenty of staff on hand, but alas, on this particular Saturday, when there were tons of people coming to the area to board a ferry bound for Seattle (and a Sounders game), they were woefully understaffed with two people - one of which didn't appear to have his heart in it. (In fairness, he said he was tired, but the service seemed kinda blah.) The shop really isn't big enough to handle a whole bunch of people - 10 at max. Again, not horrible - but - if you're at a busy terminal, that may not be the ideal spot. I'm sure they get a lot of takeout business, but even then, there's not really much room in there for folks to stand around and wait. Fish and Chips were OK - plenty of dipping sauces, although typically, I skip the sauces. But... as I was eating my first plank, the fish escaped from the coating, leaving me with a handful of ridiculously burning hot fish - and an empty batter shell. I don't think that's quite how that's supposed to work; I don't think I've ever had that happen anywhere else, either. All in all, it wasn't horrible - but there are certainly better places around the sound, I'm sure. I'd give them another shot - I mean, anybody can have an off day... but... the first impression left me cod. Cold. Sorry.

Really disappointed. Burgers were overdone to the point of being charred. Cheese was not melted -- just slices of American cheese floating on patty. Fries were soggy. Sauces were ok and helped to moisturize the dry meat. Sausage was good. Would not go back and would not recommend it.

This is a very small place with only one person at lunch time. Needless to say - you can't be in a hurry nor expect a comfortable place to sit and relax. If the weather is nice - yes you can eat outside - but this is Washington. The food - when we finally received it - was good and we will probably be coming back - if it is a nice day and we are in the neighborhood. The hamburger was tasty and the fries appeared to be fresh cut and with salt good. I would not recommend the Waffle stuffed with Chocolate - none of us enjoyed it. Interesting way of charging - it says Waffles $1.00 each - minimum of 3. Huh Doesn't that mean they are $3.00 with $1.00 for addition ones - are they just trying to make it look cheaper. I would probably give it 3.5 stars but not an option.

Wow this place is awesome, just had the fish and chips. The sweet chili dipping sauce was amazing. If you are close by I recommend it. A great finish to the Turner Joy Destroyer tour.

  • Ben W.

Easily some of the worst poutine I've ever eaten. Soggy fries, over salted gravy they made from a powdered gravy packet, topped with unmelted mozzarella cheese. Beer selection is a little weak. Also found it strange that they didn't have any Belgian beers on tap.

  • Clarissa C.

Super yummy! Fritz's is located right off the ferry, and the French fries and onion rings are awesome! I guess they don't usually make an order of just onion rings but they'll do it for you if you ask and the onion rings are exceptional. They're not the stringy kind with crunchy batter, they're easy to eat and it's fun to explore all the different sauces. I liked the sweet chili sauce. They had only had one guy taking and making orders so it wasn't super fast, but it only took about 5 minutes and I'd say it was worth the wait! If you're trying to kill 15 min before your ferry, go get some fries!

  • Rachelle L.

So good. Fried food. It took a little longer to get our food than I think another similar place might, but it was worth it because they were making magic back there! I had the combo basket. Fries, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, zucchini fries. Chose the curry mayo and dill ranch dressing for dips. So good. But it got busy really quickly after we ordered. So be careful when you go, because the place is small, and doesn't fit that many. There's seating outside to eat, but I hate to think how long it would have taken for us to get our food if we'd come in just a few minutes later. Packed. But for good reason.

  • Mandi S.

I'm not really sure what I think about Fritz. I got the German Sausage which was delicious and the fries were pretty good, but I couldn't eat them. I think it's because the restaurant smelled horribly of fried food. There is outside seating, but it was a little chilly so I ate inside. I asked for my fries extra crispy and they cooked them a little longer for me - yum! The dill ranch dipping sauce was great. I really want to give this place another chance because I've heard great things, but maybe I just wasn't in the mood for fried food when I ate here?

  • Raymond B.

The food is okay, but it is super greasy, which is to be expected. The floor is sticky and you leave the place smelling like old fry oil. The staff is friendly, the location is great and their sauces are awesome. They also have some really cool records that have been painted that you can buy. If I go again, I will probably just get some fries......

I love going here after a long drill weekend the staff is great and the food is simple and good also love the beer choices on tap I say it defiantly a goodie stop worth catching a ferry from Seattle to eat drink and then ferry back

A fabulous spot to sit outside by the ferry docks and feast upon Belgian style hand cut fries with red pepper parmesan dipping sauce. If you're not in a rush, sit back and enjoy a few of their Belgian ales. A perfect way to build up your courage as you take your chances with the plethora of passing bremelo.

My husband and I checked out Fritz European Fry House after taking the ferry home after going to the Seahawks/Saints playoff game. We were famished after cheering our asses off and needed food fast (those food lines at Centurylink are ridiculous). Usually, when famished, nearly everything I eat is infinitely better tasting than it ordinarily would. That, paired with the reviews I've seen here on Yelp, gave me some pretty high expectations. Maybe too high. I ordered the combo basket with the honey dijon and red pepper parmesan sauces. The chicken was quite good, however, the fries were nothing special and the zucchini was really underwhelming. The sauces were tasty as well, but I didn't like that I was limited to two sauces. The dijon was good with the chicken, but not the other items. I think it'd have been better if they had the sauces up front and you could choose several of them and put them in little to go cups or something. My husband, however, seemed pleased with the fish and fries he ordered. There was nothing offensive about the food, but nothing exceptional either. But then again, I've only been the one time so maybe I'm being too harsh.

Being 7mos pregnant I'm knee deep in cravings lately! The other night I got one for a REALLY GOOD burger, and decided on this place due to the recommendations from here and because it was the closest place that wasn't a major chain. I was pretty excited that they had a mushroom and onion burger on their menu but was a little let down when the server said she was all out of mushrooms. But I wasn't so disappointed because an old fashioned chicken basket with fries was my next bet and it was amazing! I took her being out of mushrooms to mean two things: 1) it was so awesome that everyone ordered it 2) they use fresh mushrooms. How could I be mad about that?! My one tip would be to ask that the fries are cooked longer. I like mine to be crunchy, and these were a mix of crunch and soft. A little undercooked if I have to be particular. It's definitely a place I will be returning to!

It was almost 9PM on a Saturday night in Bremerton. The ferry was due in about 30 minutes and I was definitely hungry, having missed the pizza at the arcade repair party I'd been attending. I was almost about to get a Subway sandwich when I saw the sandwich-board advert saying Belgian Fries and Beer. Intrigued, I followed where the sign was pointing and found this little hole-in-the-wall place that looked like it was tidying up for the night. The lady there was very nice and hooked me up with a very good chicken-fried steak on a small mountain of crispy fries in less than ten minutes. There were some other really good-sounding burgers on the menu as well, but I'm always on the hunt for the best chicken-fried steak. I appreciate that she didn't say "You're too late" and was happy to fix me up some good food. I'll be coming back!

My favorite place to have lunch and a beer with my dogs on a sunny day! I totally recommend their thai peanut dipping sauce! We've always had great service and they always let us sit outside with our dogs, which I love!

Food was really good and the fries with the 2 sauces hit the spot. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that it is a little pricey for a chicken burger and some fries.

  • Suzanne S.

The restaurant was located mere steps from my hotel. I almost didn't order anything because there was a swarm of flies that you had to walk through to place your order. Really gross...but laziness won out and I ordered the fish and chips. Hot and crispy (and greasy) fish and a huge portion of limp fries. Love the fry sauce but everything else was just fair.

I hate to do this too, I really do. We have been fans of Fritz almost from jump. We aren't beer drinkers, so it's all about the fries for us. Which, the last two times we've been (the last being this weekend),have been straight up terrible. They were underdone both times - like limp underdone. This very last visit, the soda machine was out of whack and when I mentioned it to the girl working, she looked panicked. Clearly she was trying to get food out fast, which meant fries weren't cooked. They didn't come in a cone, which is minor, but if you are trying to sell yourself as "European" and the fries are the star, make sure you at least get those right. We also had chicken tenders which were passable. I feel like the original owner isn't there anymore because this never happened on his watch. Sad - we won't make this a stop anymore when we are over on the peninsula and I can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone else anymore.

Checked out this awesome little shop on our way home from camping at Hood Canal. This will totally be the way we wait for the ferry from now on! Not only was the food super yummy but the customer services was killer. I ordered a Jalapeno burger. When my order came out I took a bite and realized, where are the peppers. Whoops they gave me a bacon burger. I brought this to their attention. They gave me the bacon burger for free and made me a fresh Jalapeno burger! That's how a customer focused business should be ran! So legit! Great food (fries with the sweet chili sauce = heaven)! Awesome customer appreciation! Nice beer selection! I will be back as many times as possible!

What's not to love about this itty bitty place? Great beers, staff, food, and above all pomme frites- or French fries to those less in the know. They have a large array of dipping sauces that complement the frities perfectly. It's hidden by the ferry and you may walk past it without knowing- but I assure you- it's worth turning around for!!

  • Rachel C.

Fritz has amazing sauces that you should not pass up. The chicken fingers are very juicy and I love love love the mozzarella sticks. If you want to try a few things at a time, try the sampler basket. The only food that I found disappointing was the zucchini. I personally do not like my zucchini cut long ways. This place is in a very small location, during their peak hours seating can be difficult. Lots of outside seating around the area, but as we all know, rain happens.

I have finally found my fish and chips place!! My husband and I had been wanting to try Fritz's, but we never get out to the downtown Bremerton area, unless catching a ferry with our kids. We were finally able to go this past Friday for lunch, and we can not wait to return. The restaurant is really small, with seating for about 8-10 people inside and a few tables outside. The menu is pretty basic offering fish and chips, chicken baskets, hamburgers, and sausage. Awesome fries with a great variety of dipping sauces. I, obviously, ordered the fish and chips. The fish was so, so good. Fresh and flavorful with the perfect crisp batter. My husband ordered the combination basket which came with mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, chicken, and fries. He was extremely impressed with the food. Between the two of us we tried red pepper parmesan, honey dijon, thai peanut, and jalepeno mayo dipping sauces. The red pepper parmesan was ridiculously tasty, with the jalepeno mayo and honey dijon were very good, as well. The thai peanut was a little lacking for us, not as many spices as we wanted, but there are tons more for us to try in the future. We are already planning our next chance to go back there (which can be tricky with little kids). Because of the size of the restaurant and the seating consisting of stools this isn't the most kid friendly. The tables outside would work well, but it's too cold now for that option. The staff is very friendly. We went at lunchtime and the wait was about 15-20 minutes, which isn't too bad.

This place was exactly what I was looking for on a day trip to Bremerton from Seattle. I had a ton of family with me and they're all pretty cheap, so Fritz fit well with our desire for fried goodness. The fish and chips were above decent (not remarkable, but nice), I ordered the Western Burger (fried patty, bbq sauce, jalapenos, onion rings, swiss cheese) and it really hit the spot. Someone else in my party ordered the poutine which was alright. The gravy could have used some work, and cheese curds instead of mozzarella would have been an improvement. Even though they were totally slammed at the time that we went they managed to get the food out reasonably fast, and the fries were crispy and the sauces were a great accompaniment. My only complaint was that the fries were a bit underseasoned. Not a huge deal, I just added extra salt.

  • Rich S.

Fritz is pretty much the coolest thing to hit Bremerton. Ever. While they have a great selection of fried food and even German sausage, the obvious draw is the Belgian fries, served in a paper cones and with your choice of dipping sauces. The fries themselves come to you only lightly seasoned, hot and fresh and delightfully crispy. The selection of dipping sauces goes way beyond your standard "fancy" ketchup and ranch dressing, though you can certainly stick to those if you want. You can also get a wonderfully zesty honey dijon mustard, zingy dill, or spicy curry ketchup, among many others. Now THAT'S fancy! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention their beer collection, which is small but surprisingly diverse. They almost always have Fat Tire and a few other common brews, but they also have the occasional rarity. Fritz was the place where I first tried Delerium Tremens, a Belgian beer that put me in a happy haze all the way home - not something they always carry, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it. Sure, the menu is limited and the place itself is small. But when you jump off the Seattle ferry and grab a cone of fresh fries with some curry ketchup, a good bottle of beer you probably can't get anywhere else nearby, and sit at a table outside reading or just enjoying the water fountains, you don't really care much about that. Or at least, I didn't! Actually, I can't wait to go again!

Order these piping hot, thick cut, crispy fries with jalapeño mayo sauce. Wash it down with a cold bottle of imported beer. Thank me later.

The best fish & chips we've had in a very long time! They have lots of different sauces for dipping. My favorite was the Dill Ranch. The indoor seating area is sort of small but they also have a nice outdoor seating area. It was really busy so we ended up getting our food to go and took it back to our hotel room (right next door).

If you don't appreciate Belgian style fries or Belgian beer, don't bother going. But I went wanting some good hot fries with mayo and curry ketchup, and I got that. We also split a bottle of framoise lambic, which was a delightful change of pace. The only reason I'm not giving Fritz all 5 stars is I had a cheeseburger that was just so-so. I think it would have been better without the cheese, actually. And they didn't offer chopped onions for the fries, as a REALLY authentic shop would serve.

Whenever I visit my sister, I always go to Fritz Fry House, at least 3-4 times per visit. The food is excellent, good beer on tap, and the employees are always friendly. My favorite dish there is the chicken tenders and fries. Best chicken tenders I've ever had. I get them with their honey mustard, also the best. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu though. Everything is delicious. If you're ever in Bremerton and want a cheap, quick, and delicious meal, Fritz is the place to go!

You're at the Bremerton ferry dock. Your kid wants sugar. You want a beer--and you really don't want to stand in line at Coldstone Creamery. Go to Fritz Fry House! They have a lovely "beer garden" (aka patio seating behind a little rope) and will serve you/your kid fries with the dip of your choice or waffle sticks with something sticky on them. You, my parenting friend, will have your choice of delicious grownup beverages. Everyone will enjoy the shade, the lack of lines, and the truly awesome fountain.

I love Fritz Fry House! I used to go here all the time after school when I had just gotten off of the bus and was still waiting for my ferry. Their fish and chips meal is delish. Put a little vinegar on your fries and they are the perfect side to any meal really. I love their onion burger as well. It's got my mouth watering right now just thinking about it! Now that I'm far from home I miss some good Fritz fries. I will have to order some the next time I am in town. Overall, wonderful little place.

Upon our visit to WA and a trip on the Ferry to Bremerton, we were in need of a quick snack. We came across Fritz' and what a great little hole in the wall! We ordered the Poutine (which are the Belgian Fries with gravy and cheese) and some Belgian Beers. Oh what a delight; very satisfying. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

This place is pretty good. They have a good variety of sauces to use for their fries, which their fries are pretty good. All their food is deep fried, at least it seems like it. I had their burger basket which came with fries, choice of 2 dipping sauces, burger with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and pickle. I ordered one without pickle. When I got the basket, the fries and sauces were pretty good (got their dill ranch and red pepper), but the burger seemed to be cheap and made lazily. It was almost a burnt burger on a cold bun with cold cheese that wasn't even melted (something I thought was a standard for restaurants). I expected more from the burger considering it's a pretty good fast fried food spot in downtown bremerton. They have other meal options that I haven't tried yet so there probably is more pros than cons than what I experienced so far. I recommend getting their fries, chicken strips and try their different sauces (by the way, ketchup is free so you technically get 3 sauces lol).

  • Christina W.

Love this place! Love the crew, and I feel like they have all been there for years, which tells me the owners are awesome also. The dipping sauces are sooo good! The burgers are fresh, the fries are fresh. Always hot. The only thing that sucks is the smell of grease, but it has to happen, to make such delicious foods! I've been going to Fritz for 4 years. Since I moved to Kitsap County. Great for getting food before getting on the ferry for your trip to Seattle, just ask for to go packaging or a fry cone. Try the creamy dill ranch, and the wasabi mayo dip. You'll love it!

  • Leroy H.

Fries are garbage. Being overpriced makes the situation even worse. Compared to the real deal in Europe, places in Vancouver, BC, or even Five Guys this is the worst fresh cut fries. A 10lb. bag of potatoes cost less than $4. They could put more fries in the orders. The sauces are weak and lack creativity.

    (1)
  • Carrie H.

This was our only visit to Fritz and probably our last. We noticed they were open one evening after getting off the ferry. The smell of deep fried oil is very noticeable even 3 businesses down. Fritz has the usual onion rings, chicken strips, hamburgers and they boast about their fries. Personally I didn't consider the fries to be anything special and definitely not worth riding the ferry over just to have them. This place is more like a bar with all the alcohol they have with offerings of fried food. I will say the portions are large and my husband was impressed with a few of the homemade dipping sauces.

    (2)
  • Lisa K.

I dropped in to try the fish &chips with your choice of any 2 dipping sauces. The cod had a light and crispy batter and tasted very good but the fries were soggy and oily which might be because I ordered it to-go, that's why I gave it a 3. The young lady that took my order was very nice and friendly.

  • Frank C.

There is just something quite satisfying about good fish & chips! And that is just what you get here, great chips and very good fish. Nothing too pretentious, small little place, some tasty dipping sauces and a good selection of un-ordinary beers. Good, friendly service too. Fish & chips, a beverage and off onto the ferry! A habit has been established!

  • Caliope S.

Oh yum! These fries are delicious! The sauces are good too! We tried the honey mustard sauce and the jalapeño mayo. The sweet potato fries were okay, but honestly the regular fries were way better! Great pit stop when waiting for the ferry!

I'm not too sure what all the hub-bub about this place is, but everyone seems to be all up on their ish about Fritz. I was visiting Bremerton from San Diego and the bf decided to take me here. While the fries were super hot and delicious and crispy, there was nothing particularly special about them. The tartar and wasabi dipping sauces were good, but again...nothing spectacular. Also, we had the chicken tenders, which again were good, but nothing to write home about. Maybe I'm spoiled from all the NOMS in CA? I don't know. I'd come back if I were looking for a quick bite while at the ferry terminal, but wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

As a fat white dude, the idea of a fries with ranch store tickles me in a way I'm not really prepared for. Throw in the fish, chicken, burger, and beer options and we have a winner. Tip: Try the Parmesan dip stuff. It's a wonderful little bowl of fat.

The food is excellent. Beer choices and staff are great. The only issue is they don't have a good ventilation system, so you leave smelling like a fry house. But worth it!

While staying at The Hampton, we walked over for lunch. I saw the sign with sweet potato fries and I was drawn in. I love me a good sweet potato fry. I paired them with a chicken & swiss sandwich, thai peanut doping sauce and curry mayo dipping sauce. The sandwich wasn't any better than something you'd find at Wendy's...just chicken, WAY too much mayo, a tomato and lettuce between 2 buns. The sandwich was quickly redeemed after scraping off all the plain mayonnaise and replacing it with a small amount the curry mayo. The fries were okay by themselves and didn't need sauce. The Dr. Pepper was fantastic! The girls working there were very nice and personable. If I go back again, I'll skip the sandwich and sauces and just get a huge order of sweet potato fries.

  • Farina C.

Hubby took me there last night after work. He'd had lunch there with his coworker a few days earlier and told me how good the burger was. I ordered the onion burger. The patty looked and tasted like it's been cooked and re-cooked 5 times. It was so very dry. If it was cook one more time, I'm sure it'll look and taste like jerky. I'm not a fan. And like the other commenter said, it's overpriced.

The Blackberry Festival in Bremerton may have been a total bust if it wasn't for stopping at Fritz European Fry House; that made it well worth the $6.70 ferry ride over just to inhale, I mean try their fries. They were some of the best fries I've ever had and the dipping sauces were awesome. I enjoyed the wasabi garlic mayo and dill ranch, next time I'd like to try their curry mayo or maybe the sweet chili but you know what they are pretty damn tasty without any sauce too. The fries are fresh and crisp and hot and delicious; check them out if you have the chance. Besides fries they also have chicken, sausages and fish and chips along with beer, and good beer I might add. Stella Artois, Naughty Nellies, Belgian Triple all on tap and Hoegaarden, Chimay, Urthel and a few others in bottles and for those who don't like beer they have Lambics but to me Lambics and fries just don't sound like they'd go well together. Just a word to the wise, the place is small not much room to sit inside but they have a few tables outside so don't bring a group or you'll get frustrated but I bet a small cone of Fritz European Fry House fries would make the ferry ride back to Seattle 100% better so stop in before getting on the ferry and enjoy some tasty Belgium fries.

The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.

Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
