Beautiful view of the water . Very romantic for couples. Clams and mussels are the best in my opinion. They put to much garlic , but still yummy. My son had the stake and he liked it very tasty.

We went to see the Christmas boat parade that they were advertising. Heaters, tents and fun. None of these were there, unless you count the one heater with two tables right next to it :( we couldn't even go inside to get a drink because everything was reserved . Very poor planning ! Our business went to another local restaurant near by .

Such a little gem. I'm from Maine and it reminded me so much of New England. Brunch was delicious and Happy Hour ALL day Sunday!

Cleanliness 5/5 If you want a clean restaurant, go to the Boat Shed. The tables are always cleared, and the sugar caddies stocked with sugar. The windows, blinds and table decorations are pleasant but not overbearing or covered in dust. The fish tanks are well maintained and the plates from the kitchen have never had residual water spots. Their female bathroom is aromatic with strong floral scents and organized well with ample room for waiting. Employee Knowledge 4/5 We have had great experiences with both the host staff telling us about the specials of the day and our servers knowing about their food and bar menu. It's time efficient when your server doesn't have to check the bar for a variety of wine and know what items have gluten. In the event that we questioned new food items about gluten, our server was happy to speak with the chef and get back to us. Product Offering 5/5 I would say they are 5/5 on quality, variety and pricing for the average diner. I give them 2/5 because I can't get much on their menu with celiacs. It isn't difficult to sautee fish, or make items without bread but it isn't something they offer. The soups, salads and entrees have breading or wheat of some variety. Accessibility: 3/5 The parking is rough. It has greatly improved with the addition of the cleared gravel parking lot but I would stretch to say it is 0/5 for people who are handicapped. There is no clear way to park at or near their door. If you are taking a trip to the bar, prepare for the world's worst sobriety test as you scale 100 steps up the Manette mountainside.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of service and more importantly the meal. We had lunch- Fish Tacos, Calamari, and the Crab and Shrimp Salad Sandwich. The Fish Tacos and the Calamari were so festive as well as delicious. The Crab and Shrimp Salad was so large and the fries were enticing. The stuffed mushrooms are a great alternative, as well. The beer is not expensive.

Went to the Boat Shed after a recommendation for a shop owner in Port Orchard. The food here was fantastic, the service was sub par and the parking was HORRIBLE which is why I'm only giving it three stars. I had the Smoked Salmon Linguini which was fantastic! The sauce was Delish and the salmon add the perfect amount of saltiness to the dish! My mom had he tiger prawns which were also great! Cooked perfectly with a side of rice and asparagus. The service on the other hand was sub par. We never received bread at our table we had to ask for it three times before it was brought. Our waitress filled our drinks once and never came back and then dropped off our check and never came back to pick it up. Someone else came over to pick it up finally after U.S. Sitting there for about 7-8 minutes. Last the parking here is horrendous DO NOT drive all the way down to the restaurant the parking is very limited and its soooo hard to get out of! The parking up at the top is ok but also very tight and very limited. I had my daughter with me (5 months) old and thankfully I brought my baby carrier because otherwise I would have had to carry her down a steep flight of stairs. This restaurant is not very handicapped friendly. There is no handicapped parking and if you park up top and are wheel chair bound like my grandma, you would have to push them pretty far just to get to the restaurant.

My motel recommended this place for seafood. It is on the water, which is a real plus. My server, Mareille, was just AMAZING, definitely five stars. Unfortunately, Mareille was in the position of "coming to the rescue," as I was seated on the deck, and then ignored. She succeeded. The initial seating did not provide the Happy Hour menu, and if I hadn't seen "Happy Hour All-Day Sunday," I wouldn't have known about it. House chardonnay was fine. I then had the oyster shooters completely plain. I should have known better, but I so wanted oysters. My own fault, but they were just about room temperature, which wasn't a plus. Chowder: merely average. Neither good nor bad. A bit short on flavor, and short on clams. Mixed steamers: somehow, the mussels were perfectly cooked, while the clams were slightly tough. But just slightly, so overall, this was a successful dish. The broth was relatively tasty, with garlic, onions and maybe just a bit of fennel, and plenty of wine to give it just a bit of a bite. In general, the food is just kind of meh; when that is coupled by the pre-Mareille initial service snafus, three stars is the best I can give, even with a decent view (it's a harbor view, nothing dramatically beautiful).

Too loud, WAY too much raw onion inb our dishes. Food only fair. Not worth returning.

We visited friends in Silverdale and they took us to the Boat Shed. I was a bit skeptical that the quality of the seafood was going to be subpar, since we are from Seattle. But I was surprised that it was quite good. We had the Manila clams to start and it was a bit salty but was offset with the fresh sourdough bread. My wife and I had the seafood linguine and the cod fish and chips. Both were good and not too salty or overseasoned, so you can tell the seafood wasn't frozen. Each entree was around 18$ and decent sized portions. The service was also spot on and the view of the bay and naval shipyard provided great views and ambience to compliment the food. So, if you are ever in Bremerton, and have a hankering for seafood this is a great spot.

Arrived around 6:45 on a Friday night and it was busy, which is to be expected. When we walked in, the hostess advised us of a wait and asked if we had a reservation. We did not (would definitely make one in the future), but they offered us immediate outdoor seating. It was a bit chilly, so we declined. While waiting, we had a chance to observe employees and the atmosphere at the restaurant. They don't seem to have any kind of an employee dress code. One hostess was dressed in a nice knee-length spring/summer dress. Another was dressed in leggings with boots and a loose top that exposed her midriff every time she moved. That may be appropriate for a yoga lesson or lounging around the house on a rainy day, but not a workplace. We also noticed a server/bartender wearing leggings, as well. When we were seated, the table was sticky, and the silverware wasn't totally clean. We ordered drinks and calamari. Beer was cold, and they had a good selection of craft beer - always a plus. Calamari was crisp - nothing special - and they offered a couple different dipping sauces. One was a wasabi based sauce, which was really good, and the other, I'm not totally sure, but it seemed to be tartar sauce based. The others at my table ordered a salad, Kobe burger and Arctic cod and chips. I also ordered the Arctic cod in their cajun alternative. The salad and Kobe burger got good reviews, but my other guest's cod was a bit soggy. My cod was crisp and flaky, and the server who brought our food informed me that they do "double cajun" if you want it spicier. Being a spicy food fan, I would have appreciated knowing that before having ordered, but oh well. Be warned, parking is awful. A lot of that has to do with poor city planning. If you own a boat, however, parking is great! You just tie your boat up at the dock and enjoy lunch! That's almost worth a star on its own! Honestly, I'd give this experience two stars, but I know the place is better than that, overall, so I'm sticking with 3. They definitely need to step it up a notch, though.

The good.... -This place sits right on the water! Great view! -Nice fully stocked bar. -Great service in the lounge area, water was refilled, bill was split, food was fast. It wasn't too busy but nonetheless they did a great job. The mediocre.... I would say the food here is average. I had the fish tacos which were reasonably priced at $16 with avocados added. They put the cheese at the bottom and so half the taco was cold while the top half was warm. Also the cod could have used a little more seasoning. All in all though, it was a pretty good dish. My coworker ordered the steak salad however, and it was Cooked medium rare as he requested. The gave a generous portion, and he said it was selfish.

One of the BEST places to eat on this side of the puget sound. My personal favorite. Hey take full advantage of the waterfront and have mooring for your boat. The drinks are perfect and their happy hour is good. I've never been unhappy with the food, ever. I've been coming here since they opened and will continue to come back. Parking sucks but it's worth it. Kyak there! :)

The boat shed in Bremerton is the bomb! Okay the clam chowder is the best I've ever had in my life. I was totally shocked. I just ordered a wing appetizer and they were so crispy and seasoned well. Plus it's only 7 mins away from my house. We sat on the patio to enjoy the water view. I think seeing the orcas would make me happy while sitting here. The server was very nice too. I really enjoy the location of this place.

Great ambience and the food is excellent! The waiter recommended the longboard sandwich with grilled onions, cheese, and mushrooms. Amazing!! Also the chicken and roasted red pepper soup was one of the best soups I've ever had. Kids meals were well priced and great portions.

  • Donna W.

Way over priced. Two pieces of cod and 22 small pieces of fries for $15. I asked for a salad vice their signature cole slaw and was told it would cost extra for the salad. I was OK with that but was not expecting them to serve my two very small pieces of fish on the chilled plate with the salad. Needless to say the fish was cold. The fries were served in pieces in a large basket and it looked like they were left over from someone else's plate. Service was poor. No one came by to ask how things were and I could not find anyone to ask for ketchup or malt vinegar. So sad to write this review because I have been eating there since it opened. Over the past 2 years the service and food quality has gone down significantly and the prices have gone up.

  • Amy O.

Way over priced!!!!!!! Two pieces of fish and some fries for $18?? T wasn't like they were big pieces either. The service was alright but rushed. And our waitress was wearing a tank top and Bermuda shorts. Didn't feel like fine dining, like the prices suggest.

Hidden little spot right at the bottom of a bridge overlooking the water. The view from the restaurant is beautiful, as is the restaurant itself. Overall the food is decent but the portions are a bit small for what you pay for. Although for the atmosphere I'd probably try it again if in the area.

I've only been here once but have been wanting to come back for a while now. Had a date night with my roommates and it was great! We dressed up, went to the Boat Shed for dinner and it was pretty cool crossing the Manette Bridge with all the lights on. Parking was a little cramped but we managed. We got a table right next to the water and even went outside for a few pictures. The food is pretty good. We all loved seafood so that's all we ordered. The prices are a bit high but then again, it's seafood, and you would pay the same probably at Red Lobster and it not being nearly as good. We all loved what we got and it was a nice atmosphere. I would love to to come back again when we have time.

It's too bad there isn't more passion evident at such a great waterfront location. Last visit, the steak salad wasn't great. Blah dressing, grocery store tomatoes in July, chewy flavorless steak. If you charge top dollar, quality ingredients are necessary. The good, Penn Cove mussels, warm sourdough bread, nice white wine. We should have just split this dish. It's pretty hard to screw up mussels, an example of quality ingredients, although I'd leave out the onions. My advice, update the menu, source better ingredients, add more training for the young staff.

Had a great dinner tonight of the steamer clams and bread, dockside in the sunshine! What a great dinner blessing! The service was great, not too busy tonight, and the food was marvelous!! Hubs had the cheeseburger with...fries of course and a yummy pickle spear on the side. Nothing better than enjoying dinner on the dock in sunshine!!!

My father-in-law lives close by, and this is his absolute favorite place. So, on a recent trip we went there for lunch. Nice place and cool location. We were greeted at the door and had a nice seat by the windows on the water. Our server was not very friendly and not very attentive. It took a very long time for her to take our order and for the food to come out. If you wanted anything more from her than that, you had to flag her down. As for the food, I had the clam chowder and Alaskan Halibut Fish and Chips. The Chowder was good, and so were the Fish and Chips. Now, I will add that my fish and chips were cold by the time I ate them because she waited to bring the chowder until the entire meal was ready. I will also say that for the price, the two small pieces of Halibut was pretty disappointing. In the end, it was very pricey for what you got, but the food was pretty good. The service stunk beyond the front door, and that was enough to keep me from ever going back.

Excellent dinner with friends. Waitress Sarah was outstanding and attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious, including broiled tiger shrimp, seafood scampi, chowder, and chocolate lava cake. Wasabi crusted salmon was especially delicious and perfectly cooked! 10% military discount was especially welcome. Only negative was when staff overheard cussing quite loudly in lobby! Tight parking.

This place is an institution. The food is pretty good, the portions are very generous, and the deck and the view are not to be missed. Less formal than Anthony's across the canal, but if you want to let your hair down and have a great time - this is a great spot.

Good service amazing food great drinks! Definitely I place I would recommend they've got a beautiful view of the ocean I can't wait to see that view on a sunny day in July.

I recently became a full time resident of Mason County and a bud took me to lunch here today. It was a beautiful spring day so we sat outside on the deck. I had a cup of their chowder which was excellent and then had cod and chips which were good and plentiful. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Brett, after he overheard me telling the waitstaff that it was my first time here. I told the co-owner that his establishment really reminded me of a more casual "Rays Boathouse" in Seattle to which he reacted with glee. The service was attentive; the atmosphere couldn't get any better in Mannette and the food was terrific. The only reason I didn't give the restaurant 5-stars is the fish and chips were $15, a cup of chowder $5 and the IPA $5 - prices that I would more expect to pay in Seattle and not Bremerton.

Our first time eating here. I'm glad we tried it out regardless of some of the negative Yelp ratings. I don't know if we just lucked out and came on the right day but we had the best experience! So the prices of the food is pretty expensive compared to other restaurants. I think it's to be expected for a tourist area. The service we received today was exemplary-- Friendly, courteous, attentive, and quick. All of us were happy with our orders and enjoyed not only the food and service but that gorgeous view of the water and Manette Bridge on the roomy deck, and the live piano music was pleasant. Expect to pay slightly higher prices here but I think it's worth it for the lovely view and awesome deck to relax and take it all in. I hope you luck out like we did with the beautiful weather, wonderful service, and delicious food. We'll definitely come back next time we're in Bremerton. By the way, I tried the BBQ Kobe Beef Burger. Really good! I recommend it.

Thanks to Yelp we found this place and it was a great place to come for Fish and the View sitting on the water is outstanding. I would come back when in the area for the food and view. Price for the food was a wonderful change from what we pay in Southern California.....

7 in our party for lunch and our waitress Jenny did a great job accommodating our large group with all the dietary restrictions etc. Food was top notch and the 7 different entrees were thumbs up from everyone. Jenny took back our special request of garlic fries which were not on the menu and the chef did a wonderful job making them and were some of the best garlic fries we've had.

Just got back from a trip to the Boat Shed. About the only thing to go there for is the view. Not a drinker, so I can't speak for the bar, but the service was lackadaisical at best and the food so-so. Never got our basket of bread. My crab & shrimp sandwich, which I thought would have fresh crab and shrimps on it was in fact deviled crab with one or two small shrimp thrown in. Didn't come close to filling me up, even after eating all the fries which I rarely do. Mom said her chicken piccata was pretty good though.

Celebrated a Birthday and a farewell upcoming deployment and we couldn't have found a better place. Not only was the food delicious (salmon cooked just the way I like it, clam linguini with real clams in the shell got a rave, and the prawns got 2 thumbs up) Dessert all the way around, including ice cream for the 2-year-old. And by the way, the waitress and staff were both calm and generous with their attention to a very busy little boy who had a hard time sitting still, just like all kids that age. From now on, this is our family place for all celebrations -- because we can all relax. And there was lots of other families with little kids there too -- the word must be out.

Nice view, good service. Parking is a huge challenge, halibut fish & chips (2 small pc) is $18. More than likely will take our biz elsewhere unless the $$$ comes down.

I really like this place, the food is good and the service was great. We had the best waitress ever. I think parking seems to be a premium at this restaurant and a bit of a pain. I think the food is a tad over priced for what it is, there was no wow factor for me other than the view. But you can't beat the view, the place it right on/above the water.

The boat shed has great food, but we ended up again with the worst server ever. For some reason I ended up with the black lady server the last two times I went and she is the worst server ever, takes for-ever for her to even get to our table if at all, this time the bartender had to come over and get us drinks and take our order. Our "server" then brought us our food and I asked her for ketchup and more bread and never got it... The bartender came to refill our drinks so we asked her and she got it right away. Anyone else have this problem???? I made sure the tip went to the right person! She needs to be in the kitchen or maybe doing the hosting..... Once she goes away I'll be back to my weekly family meal, but until then I'll stay with the once a month (or less) chance I won't end up with her......

Best thing about this place - you are ON THE WATER. The outdoor patio is fantastic on a nice day, just be careful not to drop anything or it's going in the Sound! The food isn't bad, but I'm not the best judge since the only thing I've ever ordered is the fish & chips - both cajun & regular - and it's obviously good or else I wouldn't keep ordering it. The prices are a little steep, but the location is worth it. The staff can be hit or miss, most of the time it's been fantastic, a couple times on the patio the service is a little slow, but you've got that view to pass the time. Positives: LOCATION, ambiance, decent food, wine, great for a HH, girls night out, or a romantic evening. Negatives: A little pricy but worth it for the view, and can get a little noisy inside on a weekend evening. When the weather is nice you are likely to find me here enjoying the view on their patio!

We had reservations so we got in pretty quickly plus it was a Thursday so we may not have had to wait even if we didn't have them. It was pretty busy, and since it was hot we sat on the patio. Very nice view of the water, and watching some passing boats. Now right away my husband and I were disappointed because the menu we looked at on their FB page was different than what they gave us. We were both hungry for crab cakes which it showed on FB as a favorite of theirs...guess it's not much of a favorite if it's not even on the menu anymore. My husband, step-father, and myself ended up getting the Garlic and Herb Tiger Prawns. Luckily these were delicious, and helped us forget we were wanting crab cakes. Although I'm not sure we would have gone knowing the menu was much different than the online one. The calamari we had as a starter was also really good. The price seemed a little high for the food compared to other places that are much better with the same price point. I would go back if invited with friends, but probably not a top choice for us.

Although a bit spendy, the view is fantastic, super service, and you get wonderful, large portions of tasty seafood! Costco has discount cards, and sometimes parking can be an issue (but I view that as an indicator of how desirable their food is!).

My wife loves their spinach salad, and their in-house tea is the best. I found the fish and chips to be excellent and the french fries part of it better than french fries are at other places. It is one of our favorite places to go in the Kitsap County area.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I don't even know where to start with how horrible this place was. We waited over an hour to even have a drink order placed (we already knew what we wanted to eat). The waitress promised to have our drinks and fresh bread out right away. After waiting an additional twenty minutes, she came back with the drink order, she had forgotten our bread, and finally took our food order . Our children were absolutely famished by this exhausting game of hide and go seek with our waitress. Eventually she brought out bread (not fresh -re-heated multiple times). Ten minutes later we flagged her down and asked if we could cancel our order; we decided our time would be better spent at Subway. She convinced us to stay that our food would be right out, which ironically she brought right back. Our food was cold and our order was wrong. However, we just ate the food since we had already waited an hour and forty minutes. After switching plates with one of the children who absolutely dreaded their entree, I couldn't agree more with her nine year old palate. Both of our entrees were disgusting. However the seven year old loved his clams. On top of the lousy service, we had to tolerate two groups of drunk parties who dropped the f bomb every few words. The parties wandered around the restaurant standing so closely to our table we were unable to move our chairs. We did not approve of their fowl language or their drunken attempt to pick up on each other; however, it seemed to be the norm as the manager was happily snapping pictures of everyone. I find it ironic that she greeted the majority of the tables but would not step near the tables who were having issues with the food or service. This place is only good for drunken debauchery, poor service, and horrible food. I will never come back to this place again.

We came here at about 6:30 on a Saturday. It was crazy busy and service was kind of slow. We sat outside and the view as spectacular. The food was decent but once it got dark I had to use my phone to see my food which seems a little silly. Clam chowder is on point, fish and chips were good and the burger my husband got was really yummy. They have the option of regular fish and chips or cajun, although they won't take fried fish and put it in a fish taco (their fish is grilled for tacos). Seemed like an easy request but I guess not. Either way, the only complaints I have are to get lighting for the outdoor seating and make sure servers are a little more attentive when it busy.

  • Matt L.

A few years ago this would have gotten 4-5 stars from me, but it's really declined lately. I don't like their new menu nearly as much. They removed a lot of great options and raised all the prices while they did it. Not only that but the food quality went down at the same time. The atmosphere inside is great and the water views are top notch. The fish and chips are probably the best option these days (although pricey compared to other places) as they removed all the sandwiches and a bunch of great burgers. The old tiger prawns were awesome but the new prawn plate isn't as good and is more expensive. Please bring back the Boat Shed we used to know and love!!!

Amazing food but not worth an hour wait to be served, or the other hour it takes to get your check and pay the bill. My group arrived Monday at about 6 pm got served drinks by about 6:15 not to bad; we ordered our food and the waitress said she would be back with some hot bread which was great because the week before for a birthday we didn't get any hot bread. So it was about 6:50 the table next to us received 2 baskets of hot bread we have had no drink refills yet just extremely hungry watching multiple waiters walk around and pay no attention to us looking at them. Finally 7:15 hits and our food is in front of us and the hot bread just arrived :| Seriously? They need more waiters, they are lucky they have a good chef. I'd like to add that the week before I went I also brought my baby asked for a high chair and it took 30 minutes and a "oh did you still want a high chair." Get it together people, this used to be such a great place to go... Get more waiters, and a better hostess who actually listens and brings the high chair. I hope the next time I come in I can delete this review.

Not great for large groups. We were stuck in the back, dark corner of the restaurant and apparently out of site out of mind rings true here. I would understand if it was super busy but the restaurant was at about 20% occupancy and I counted 4 waitstaff on.

  • Lori O.

Disappointing experience...we have been here two other times in the bar and had a great experience. Waited 10 minutes before having to ask where our waiter was. Waited an extra 5 for them to decide who was going to help us. No silverware or plates, had to grab some from another table. Our waitress thought it was fun to "train" a 9 year old how to wait on tables. Had to ask for the check. Did I mention we were served glasses of water after we were done eating? They were not short staffed just oblivious to the needs of the customer. Not sure if we will go back.

Experience stated with a very friendly waitress who had good knowledge of the evenings special. After taking our order the service went downhill. Appetizer brought to table, we were given no napkins or utensils, the calamari was delicious! Main dishes brought to the table and put down with the question of "is there anything else u need?", we needed utensils and napkins! As they were dropped off we were told hot bread in a basket was on its way, it never appeared. We had to flag another waitress down for a glass of water. The food was good! I love their steak salad. It was a beautiful night out on the deck over the water. Waitress never asked if we wanted dessert. When she brought the check the pen that came with it did not work. Thought it was going to be great service but was very disappointed and the tip reflected it plus I gave my reasons on the back of the receipt.

Pretty nice place with good views. I had the seafood linguine and was not impressed. It came with one lonely small to medium sized "prawn", one little square of salmon, a few clams, a few mussels, plenty of cod and lots of onion. Flavor of the cream sauce was ok, but the onions ruined it. The single shrimp and piece of salmon is what really gets the stars taken off though. Bread was usual under baked, not fresh, white stuff; hot, but bland. Glad I went, but will not return.

This is one of our family favorites. My kids are always asking to come here, but I think that's just because they put little plastic monkeys on the kids' drinks. (Lord help you if one of the little plastic monkeys breaks in the car during the ride home!) The food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. They support the local military and offer military discounts, too. The tables by the windows overlooking the water are pretty nice. On ONE occasion, we were seated in a back corner next to the kitchen and couldn't hear a thing over the cacophony of noises coming from the kitchen being reverberated in our little corner of the restaurant, and our seats and tables were vibrating - I think from the dishwasher that was running on the other side of the wall from our table. Our waitress kept having to bend way over our table and asked us to repeat ourselves multiple times because she couldn't hear us order over the noise. Note to self: If they try to seat you in the back corner by the kitchen, then tell them you'll wait for another table to open up. Like I said, all the other times we've been here, we've sat by the windows and enjoyed the view, and it's been a peaceful dinner. I LOVE their salmon served "wasabi style." They have some pretty wicked desserts, too. Downcheck / thumbs-down - they serve Pepsi products (yes, I'm a Coke addict), but so does every other restaurant on the Kitsap Peninsula.

The best part about this restaurant is the location. You can't beat the dock with the view on a nice sunny Washington day. The service here was so-so. Pretty slow, but still friendly. The atmosphere of this place was the most confusing. They had some nice, pricer dishes plated nicely on white plates while others are served in a plastic basket. Overall, the food wasn't anything special, something I could have made myself at home. Probably won't be going back for food, maybe some day just for drinks on the dock though.

Haven't been here in several years mainly because I moved to Poulsbo and it's kind of out of the way but we decided to give it a shot. Lets just say my wife and I realized what we've been missing out on. I had the Cajun spiced swordfish which was seasoned just right and the accompanying asparagus was crisp which was an added bonus. My wife had the clam linguine with an abundant amount of clams with a garlic white wine sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. The best pat was despite the place being a packed house on a Friday night we got our food promptly and the service was spot on. Plus they have a nice beer selection too. In summary good food+good service+good beers=happy man :)

The oceanfront view was beautiful. And that's about it. This is my first 1-star restaurant rating, so I'm usually pretty easy to please! Service was terrible considering you're looking at $100 check. If this were a $5 sandwich shop, I wouldn't care, but seriously. Our server appeared to be very young, rushed (though it wasn't busy), and just plain unprofessional. She took a long time coming out, eventually bringing water for the table, and never introduced herself. She again took an exceptionally long time to come back and take our orders. Drinks were good, food was decent, and then came dessert, which was just strange because she didn't bother clearing the plates from the main course at any point--totally unacceptable for any fine dining establishment. And beware: if you order "creme brulee," they will bring you flan. No joke. I'm not sure if the chef is clueless or the staff is just misinformed, but it was ridiculous.

The best attributes to this place are the host (he is worth his weight in gold) and of course the view. The food is good, but nothing to rave over. They overcooked the "ahi" tuna which was a total waste. Although, the fish tacos were good. The service was absolutely horrible. We had to ask for water 3 times after we were first seated. We had to ask twice for a extra plate and we were virtually ignored most of the time. The place is so noisy you can barely hear someone across the table from you. Every time I've eaten there, we have always had horrible service. Every time. Management is obviously skimping on staff to save money.

I've been coming here for years, and always was pleased with the service and food. Unfortunately, today was the exception. The service was absolutely terrible. We waited over 30 minutes for drinks; and there weren't any napkins or silverware present. The food was great as always but it took forever for a simple order of nachos and a cup of soup to come out. When we spoke to the manager, she basically told is that they're trying and seemed almost combative. I was embarrassed to have my family there because I had been raving about the food and service all week. Overall, it was a very disappointing trip.

If you are in bremerton please skip anthonys and head in to town a bit farther to the boat shed, you wont regret it. I recommend the sloop....mmm delicious.

Service was great. I didn't feel like a needy chick on prom night hopelessly looking for her date to dance with while he's off with his boys chugging cough syrup. The water was always filled and he didn't hover. The ambiance was a lot nicer than I thought it would be on the inside. Cozy, newer, with a nice bar and the fish tanks were clean. Clean fish tanks are important when you're in a seafood restaurant. The candles on the table complimented the dim lighting. It's a perfect place to take a date that doesn't look so well under florescent lighting, etc. The award winning clam chowder was worthy of the name. A lot of potatoes, which I don't mind, and a few clams found their way in my bowl. I would order this, and this alone. Bottomless clam chowder would be a good marketing tool here. The disappointing part came with the entrees. When you're paying $14 for fish and chips, and every other order is served on nice white plates, don't bring out fish and chips in a crappy plastic basket. A beautifully breaded piece of deep fried cod deserves a beautiful, porcelain white vessel for its final resting place. Secondly, everyone knows that in a dining establishment, especially when it's pricey, 3 is the magic number. Ask any man. Here they only give you 2 pieces of fried fish. Disappointing, even more so when it's enticingly delicious. The basket looked somewhat empty. Same can be said with the fish tacos. They were so good, and tiny, 2 just didn't seem like enough. However, they made sure to cover my plate with store bought tortilla chips and a dixie cup of salsa. For shame, Boat Shed, for shame. With a taco that good, it's a crime to serve it with declasse corn chips. Save the plastic and go for reusable kitchenware to serve your salsa, coleslaw, etc. That plastic stuff made me question the prices.

I almost gave this meal three stars, but the server was so nice to my little girl, I had to bump it up. She forgot our drinks, and when we reminded her, she brought only one. She was friendly and quick, though. I just wish she had offered water refills sooner and offered more bread. As for the food, my Greek salad with scallops was delicious and would have been perfect if the scallops had been hot. The creme caramel was perfectly creamy and rich, and the server brought extra cherries when my daughter staked a claim on the one on top of my dessert. It was a very enjoyable meal.

So, I decided to give this place a chance and would say that I was not disappointed but also not overly impressed. The soda's were overly carbonated...we ordered 3 different sodas and sent all 3 of them back. My wife had the Halibut and really enjoyed it. I had the stuffed mushrooms and the calamari. Both were alright...nothing really great but enjoyed them all the same. However, the Clam Chowder was great!!! I will try it again one day.

The ambiance is great...right on the water! Try the calamari...it is to die for! I'd give both of these 5 stars. My main entree which was a pasta special for the evening wasn't so great. Parking: difficult. That's why I settled on 4 stars as a total. I'd try it again, definitely or just stop by for the calamari appetizer.

So after my hockey game on a Sunday night my teammate wanted to get drink and maybe food with his girlfriend and asked me to come along. I have now lived in the neighborhood for almost eight months and have not been to the Boat Shed, it's a block from my house. So we walked in, sat at the bar and lo and behold they have Deschutes on tap, Jubele and Black Potter! Sweet, this is starting off on the right foot. After getting my beer I ordered the Ketch which is the classic clubhouse with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese & mayonnaise on toasted wheat bread and added avocado and it came with fries. There was a generous amount of turkey and it really hit the spot. I will be back to sample more!

The chowder is amazing. I got a cup of it; you won't regret getting it too. The seafood linguine was also great. The service was impressive considering we were a group of 24. Just come in ready to spend $20 per person.

I.love.this.place . There have now been multiple sunny afternoons that all we have done is sit on the deck and drink. Servers are always awesome and polite, calamari is quite good, and beers aren't expensive. This is by far one of my favorite places in the bremerton area if you want a nice little place to have a fun afternoon. Gorgeous views, and right on the water. I will definitely be going back soon!

Went to check out a shop over in Bremerton and a friend had recommended this place for lunch. I ordered the sandwich on special which was a turkey melt with bacon and it came with onion rings. My meal was pretty tasty but I felt like the prices were a little high (this meal $12), for a sandwich and onion rings which cost little to nothing to make. My boyfriend had the fish sandwich and thought it was good, but a little overpriced as well. The service people were very friendly, and our waters were filled promptly so that was nice. This was my first time over to Bremerton (from Seattle), and probably my last at this place. There are probably better places for your buck to try.

We were searching for a great seafood joint after going on a whale watching tour... We were looking for reasonable prices too. Found it here at The Boat Shed! Great views, amazing bread, and entree were delicious. Pricing was extremely reasonable. I had the seafood pasta...$18 shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, salmon and halibut. I thought it was a good deal. Very impressed and will definately be back

My coworkers and I ate dinner here during a conference. This restaurant is an easy 15-minute walk from the Fairfield Inn (close to the convention center). I got the Rosemary Chicken. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The views are spectacular as you can get a table overlooking the water. Our server/s were wonderful, even patiently taking a custom order from one person in our group, giving us individual checks, and offering to give us plastic utensils for our leftovers. I didn't like the lighting as it was very dim and difficult to see your food or each other (eventually they turned on the lights, which helped). From the outside the building appears rundown and is hidden. I would not have seen it and/or opted to come here had my coworker not suggested it. A couple of the staff had poor customer service including the guy who refilled our waters and never smiled and a woman who glared as she walked by because we had added another table to the end. Although the restaurant was not busy our table was really cramped, making it tough to get in and out of our chairs. There were no paper towels in the restroom. The views are beyond compare and the food is reasonable and tasty so that makes it worth coming here at least once.

We've always liked this place but the lack of consistent hours and the knowledge of those prevents us from going very often. The website is always down, the Facebook page doesn't list hours, the food review websites are just wrong, and even when you call, they may just decide to close early if it is slow. The last time that the website was active, the happy hour menu was out of date so what I had planned to order was twice as much. It is hard to plan to go there under these conditions and thus, the Boat Shed has fallen off our radar as one of the go-to places in Bremerton. The food is slightly overpriced but the service and location make up for a good portion of that. Skip the parking lot (it's more of a narrow strip and less of a lot) and park up on 11th and walk down the stairs. Hoping they fix the issues with their open hours and post a current menu online.

I've dinned here about 20x the last 4 years. It has a nice casual atmosphere, any occasion will work for the place. The food is good and haven't experienced any bad service. Our favorites are cioppinno, salmon and of course the crap cakes. It gets packed on sunny days. The owners arranged the dinning area in a manor that all most all of the tables have a view of the Sinclair inlet. Great Happy hour specials!

The boat shed serves fantastic food, has a good waterfront view, and comfortable seating. You can even dock your boat outside and walk in. I strongly recommend reservations, as you can be waiting for hours. If I'm ever in Bremerton on business, I try to swing by here. Huge fan!

3-1/2 stars, but I'm rounding up because we had such a large group and they did a great job serving everyone. I had not been to the Boat Shed in many years but was invited there for dinner following my Niece and Nephew's first communion. We had a group of over 20 people, appetizers were served as we arrived since they had been pre-ordered so that was nice. After the fire and now being re-opened I sense that they have simplified and scaled back on what it was before. The menu is smaller with more basic choices and the prices have either stayed at what they were 15 years ago, or even gone down a bit, so very affordable. There are salads, burgers, cod or halibut fish and chips, some shrimp dishes, salmon, and some items from the broiler. They are missing oysters from the menu which would be a terrific addition to the menu as we missed having them. So I am giving it 4 stars based on what it is now and not on what it used to be, because I don't think that they are trying to make it what it used to be, this seems like a better model for the current economic climate in Bremerton. I think it is much more casual, not as fancy as it was and I think in this case it works. Appetizers we had steamed clams, stuffed mushroom caps, hot wings and some french fries for the kids. I enjoyed the wings anf the mushrooms, but the clams must have been good because they vanished before I got a chance to try them. They had a pretty decent tap and bottled beer collection with some local micros from 7-Seas down in Gig Harbor, and Iron Horse in Ellensburg, as well as about 4 or 5 others. With a group as large as we had and all of the kids and different orders, I thought the staff did a pretty good job keeping everything straight, making sure the water and drink glasses from going dry. I got the halibut fish and chips portion was a little small with only 2 pieces of fish, so they could bump that up a little for a dinner sized portion, but it was moist and the batter was nice and crispy on the outside. I love the location, being right on the water, parking has always been hit or miss here, if you can't find any up top, you can drive down and take your chances in the few spots right by the front door, but it can be difficult getting out if you don't have a spot to even turn around in. So, while not as fancy and upsclae as it used to be, I like the re-defined Boat Shed for what it is now.

Took my daughter and son-in-law here for dinner on my last night in the area and I have to say I was impressed. Great variety on the menu without being overwhelming. My daughter does not and will not seafood...never has...and she was satisfied with her entree salad. My son-in-law had the Cajun fish and chips and they were done perfectly without the Cajun seasoning over-powering the fish. I had the baked salmon. All of the food was good, served hot (except the salad of course) and the portions were ample. I plan on returning when I come back for another visit.

Off my normally beaten path. Make it over here about once a year. Each last time encourages me to return. This time my husband and I brought friends. We arrived about 5 pm and enjoyed immediate seating on the sunny deck. Our server was attentive and not intrusive. Our entrees were all just as yummy as expected...and our beverages kept full. Once again - an experience which encourages me to return! Thank you.

A-OK couldn't be a better summary. It was a very middling experience. My colleagues and I came here to celebrate after work. The menu had a lot to offer for drinks and food. I liked that it was on the water as well had access from the water. (We came in on a boat and tied it up to the small mooring attached to the restaurant). The food was about what I expected for an establishment of its kind and the speed and service was pretty good. The things that irk me about this place is about the same that I would say about a lot of places in Bellevue. This place seemed to lack character and the food, which was not bad by any means, lacked any kind of pizzazz. It lacked that little something that makes it unique or exciting. The experience was extremely middling, nothing exciting, nothing bad, just overall a very A-OK experience.

had the pleasure of dining at the boat shed after not being here for over 5 years. they are one of the sponsers for the music in manette concert series and we turned out in full force to see my good friends KNUCKLEHEAD rock the park. after the show we were thirsty, hungry, and a little rowdy... headed down to the boatshed for some libations and grub. the service was excellent! we had a pretty large group and they accomodated us without hesitation. our drinks were brought out promptly and they were delicious! the food followed shortly and was very good. around our table we had fried calamari (rings lightly battered and served with wasabi ailoi amd another sauce... but no tentacles which i love), crab and shrimp stuffed shrooms (delightfull and loaded with crab and parmesean), 4 orders of halibut and chips( extra thick fish lightly battered and crispy - perfect. and nice crispy fries), a spinach salad, a few burgers done to different temps, and a whole lot more im forgetting. everything was perfect and we ate happily. we were never felt rushed to leave even though we took up a significant portion of the fabulous outdoor dining area which afforded amazing sunset views over the puget sound. thanks for supporting live, local music boatshed! we will certainly make it a point to return next time we find ourselves in manette!

3.5 stars seems accurate. Based on the food I had here though, I'll give it 4. The crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms (with melted Asiago cheese) were very rich, flavorful, and delicious. It came with more than I expected for a starter... there were at least 10 plump, generously stuffed mushrooms. The clam chowder was chunky and tasty. Hubby enjoyed his Cajun Turkey Burger. The fries I stole from him were thick and crispy but needed salt. When I called to check what time they stopped serving (10pm, in the winter 9pm), the woman answering the phone was very friendly. Our server was fine. It is a bit pricey, but there are cheaper options starting at $10-15 for sandwiches, and I was very full and satisfied with my $11 crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms + $4 cup of clam chowder. And the ambiance is nice at this candle-lit, waterfront restaurant.

the service is great, the food is fair but completely over priced. $15.00 for fish and chips...in BREMERTON! Guess I had never noticed the prices until I had lunch with a friend the other day. We had two non-alcoholic drinks, the calamari as an appetizer, cobb salad and fish & chips..the bill ended up being a whopping $60 ...totally not worth it, especially in Bremerton. I'm not coming back. My suggestion: go try one of the other two joints in town...Anthony's or the Bremerton Bar & Grill.

Decided to try this place because I've heard good things. So a few weeks ago my husband and I went there for a quick lunch. It was a little hard to get in and out of the parking lot, but other than that the location is really nice. The food is decently priced, and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. The food was of decent quality and the wait staff was very nice. The only issue I had was that my salmon was a little bland. It's a place I'd try again though, maybe see what some of the other dishes taste like.

Nice place, great view, OK food, pricey! Me and my husband went there about 2 weeks ago for dinner. We had the calamari as an appetizer and I had the shrimp & scallop pesto pasta while the hubby had some kind of burger. They gave us a huge portion of calamari (which I was happy to see) but very greasy and flavorless. My pasta was pretty good but I could only ate about 5-6 mouthful of it because it was literally DRENCHED in oil. There was a deep puddle of oil in plate and although the dish was good, I felt a little queasy looking at the amount of oil they put in my dish. My husband's burger was so-so, overcooked and tasted okay. Our bill came to over $50 and we thought we have had a better experience somewhere else for this price level. Probably won't come back again.

The Boat Shed is on our list of places to take out of town visitors mostly because of the amazing view. Service is always wonderful, with very attentive staff. I never have to ask for water or soda refills. The fish tacos are delicious, and so is the crab and shrimp sandwich. -1 star for the sticker shock I always suffer from when the check comes. Our bill came to $44 for a crab/shrimp sandwich with salad, chicken Gorgonzola linguine with salad and 2 sodas. With tip, that was over $50! I'm not saying that it's not worth it, but we would've paid about the same at Anthony's by the ferry terminal.

This place has great food and a great view but it is way over prices in my opinion. We got 2 crab cakes as an appetizer and it was $14! They were really good but not $7 each. My seafood linguine was amazing!!! My husband had a great burger and the fries were really good! Our waitress wasn't very attentive at all but the bus girl was great! We would defiantly go back but the prices will make it hard to.

My friends and I went here yesterday for dinner, and for me to be cheered up. The view was amazing! Even though we were seated in the corner behind some people just off work who were still wearing their scrubs. I ordered a Longboat sandwich, though the roast beef was moist and good, it still would've been better if it had some lettuce in there as well. The honey mustard sauce I'd have to say, was the best that I've ever tasted! The waitress was nice and friendly. One of the girls who was a server, did an amazing job balancing a large plate of food. It was definitely worth the trip from Seattle. It was crowded, luckily I reserved a seat. I'll be coming here again but bringing my home boy next time. I just don't like the 2 hours wait for outdoor seating. After I receive my Merchant Marine, I'll be sure to drive the boat up here.

We went here for lunch after a long morning in the shipyard; it was a quick drive from the Bremerton ferry terminal. The view was fantastic, probably my favorite part, even though we were on the side closest to the bridge. The service was prompt, and the menu had a ton of seafood choices. I was a little less than impressed with my sandwich (the seasoning was off) but it was still good and the whole table enjoyed their meals.

  • Wes R.

Food was great. Service was friendly and laid back. The view, as other reviewers mention, is amazing. It is a bit of a walk over the Manette Bridge from the ferry terminal, but well worth the walk. We had the crab and shrimp & artichoke seafood dip as a starter. It comes with buttered sourdough bread, but it is better on corn chips (which they will bring if you ask). Our food was delicious and provided a perfect lunch.

I went here with my wife some time ago. I had some nachos and a burger. The food was decent but it still didnt justify the cost. I do remember the great view. The patio was closed for some reason that day but we were next to an open window so we were still able to enjoy the view. It was a real bummer because the reason we went here was eat on the deck and enjoy what little sunshine Washington State provides. This place would have been 5 stars if the food was better. I havent tried the bar though...hmmm, maybe it wouldve been a 4 star review if I had a drink.

I've been to the Boat Shed off and on for about 10 years - and I have to say that there's definite improvement since the fire they had, but I still need to give it 3 stars. Boat Shed has a great location, good selection of microbrews, a nice locally flavored menu as well as local owners. The burgers and special salads are nicely prepared and I've always enjoyed the nighly special pasta dishes as well. However, the prices are still a little out of whack for the area...they have coupons that show up on restaurant.com every now and then - which is about the only time I eat here anymore.

The view from the dock is beautiful as the sunsets. Our waitress was a little clueless when it came to specials and what to order on the menu but the atmosphere made up for that. I highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms. I do not like mushrooms but these were filled with crab and topped with cheese. They also have blue moon on tap, which is my favorite beer. Currently there is construction going on which makes it a little difficult to travel to but the confusion is worth the wait.

spendy. the waiter didn't even tell us the specials. as aps we had steamed clams that wife enjoyed, but the ones i had seemed chewy. also had the crab stuffed mushrooms. i think that they were made the day (or week) before because they were pretty dry and not that flavorful. i had fish and chips, they only gave about 3 tablespoons of coleslaw, and the fish was way undercooked. wife had pan fried oysters and they were so undercooked (slimy) that she gave them back and didn't care for them to make anything else. kid had a turkey club (ketch its called) and it was really good. we all tried it and thought that it was the best part of the lunch. on a positive note the view is nice.

This restaurant has such potential -- the great location on the water, the wood-boat-inspired interior -- but really, it all comes down to the food, doesn't it? (It does for me.) The Boat Shed's food is really not worth the price. I think I lost respect for this restaurant when I ordered a black & blue salad which was neither blackened (do they know it's an actual cajun cooking style?) nor sufficiently blue. The chicken with gorgonzola and cream sauce is decent, but how can you screw up something with that much salt and fat? Everything else I've had there was very, very forgettable. The service was cold and indifferent. I think even the wait staff has lost their passion. I'd like to see this place reclaim some of its former glory. I hear this place used to be great. Maybe I will enjoy the Boat Shed one or two evenings this summer for a drink on a hot evening, but I'm not wasting my money on food there. I can cook way better at home.

I would steer clear of the mixed cocktails & stick to the beers & wines. The food was tasty & sitting on the dock with the sun shining was great. Take advantage of the bridge detour discounts. I'll go again while in Bremerton.

I can see how the Boat Shed would attract the pre-prom crowd: the water views are beautiful and there's something about seeing people roll up on their boat, leave it at the dock and come in and eat that feels very ritzy. We recently went there for our anniversary after it was highly recommended. It was OK, nothing spectacular, my hood canal oysters were a little heavy handed with the cornmeal, the crab and shrimp dip good, my husband like the lobster and andouille pasta. The wait staff was nice. I kept getting distracted by a huge spiderweb hanging from the ceiling.

Great ambiance, especially in the summer when you can sit outside on the deck, right over the water. The steamed clams are my favorite, perfect with a glass of chardonnay , be sure to ask for extra bread to dip in the clam broth. Prices are high for the quality, but the service and atmosphere cant be beat.

Stumbled upon this place with my foodie bf last week.. Must say, it has great potential, but it's definitely trying to be something it's not. The food is very over priced, and seafood quality was mediocre at best. Our waitress and view were great, and that's why I give 2 stars. I suggest Anthony's if you want a better seafood experience.

I've only been once for lunch. I took my mom who was in town visiting, hoping to sit outside for lunch and enjoy the nice day. We were disappointed when they told us that the outdoor seating was not open since it was a weekday. The hostess did make sure to sit us at a window seat. I'd give another .5 stars just for the view if I could. The service was good... Out waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the Cape Cod sandwich, a blend of crab, cheese, and thousand island, baked on a biscuit. I was unimpressed... All I could really taste was the cheese. My mom had the Mariner sandwich, with chilled bay shrimp and avocado. We offered each other a bite of the other's sandwich. Turns out, I thought her sandwich was really good. And strangely enough, she really liked mine. Go figure. So we ended up trading sandwiches midway through our meal and both of us walked away happy. So the end result was a decent meal with a great view. I'm sure I'll be back since it's 5 minutes down the road from me.

So since moving here, all I hear is "Boat Shed, Boat Shed, Boat Shed." I guess people need to spread their horizons a bit more. Service was a little...brief. After the drink order, then the food order, we never saw our waitress until I flagged her down. And they weren't that busy. Foodwise, it seemed...sloppy. we both had fish dishes, and neither seemed fully cooked. The breading on my fish and chips wasn't completely cooked. And the prices were way too high for the low quality. Not even a view makes up for lousy food and service.

3.5 stars, rounded up because there aren't a ton of nice dining options on this side of the water. We went here several times because of the close proximity to my ex boyfriend's house. I committed a cardinal sin by sampling a large portion of their non-seafood menu items. I've tried a lot of their salads, sandwiches and pasta, but never found that perfect dish (the one you order every time). Sometimes there would be quite a wait even though they weren't all that busy and some of the servers seemed a bit off their game at times. I'd come again but it's not in my top five for the area.

On a sunny weekend day there are fewer places I would rather stop for lunch! I have been here twice now and each time was very happy when I left. The menu has a lot of the usual items you find at nicer restaurants, and even a few more exotic choices. The price is a little high, but I expect that for any place that is right on the water like the Boat Shed is. A very solid choice for an afternoon to remember

If you want to have a good meal, an adult meal and a few drinks... Try the Boat Shed. I am tired of trendy and annoying, and i am sick and tired of children interrupting my meals. (Sorry to all the parents.) I've been here twice for drinks in the last couple weeks. The wait staff is nice and friendly, and personable. Drinks are good! Fish and Chips made me happy... I sit in the bar, the TV is basically on mute I think, which is nice but its the only thing I dislike... There are no kids in the bar (duh) but there are tables and a nice restaurant atmosphere. all in all, I'll be going back again and again I am sure. Also: have a date? Try this place over something like Silver City in Silverdale EVERYTIME!

Used to be obsessed with their smoke salmon Linguine! But over the last year or so it just isnt as good as it was, I dont if they are trying a new recipe or what. Its nice to sit by the window or on the patio during summer and have some drinks though!

Nothing like pulling up docking your boat, sitting on the deck, sipping a glass of wine, sun in your face. MMMM The Boat Shed Zoe and friends

This may be the fanciest place in Bremerton, but it was way over priced for quality of food. i was disappointed, Noah's Ark burgers are way better.

Went here with my colleagues after a long day at work. We were seated promptly and got a table by the water. The view can't be beat! I had the lobster linguine special and it was delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. A former resident of the area told me that this place is owned by the same people as the Yacht Club Broiler in Silverdale. No wonder both restaurants have such similar menus!

I was excited to try the Boat Shed for the first time, but I left feeling that things could have been so much better. First off, it was an amazing Friday night out, beautiful sunset, but the patio wasn't open for some reason. I heard other people in the bar complain about this too. Take advantage of the spring sun! We sat in the bar because it was a 20 minute wait to be seated in the restaurant. Beer selection was decent. The waitress seemed to be really disinterested in her job though, she was kind of snobby and seemed annoyed when we asked for another beer. Final mistake, I ordered the Cod Fish and Chips. Other people on here said they were great, but personally I thought they were pretty terrible. They just didn't taste good at all. I might try this place again but I would definetly order something different.

Went here again for lunch...I think the reason I don't love it more is that nothing on the menu really jumps out at me. The lunch menu is pretty pricey so I stick to salads and sandwiches. I love seafood, but nothing really sounded very good so I ended up getting a burger. I wish they had some yummier sounding sandwiches...maybe I'll have to try the crab sandwich, I'm just worried it will be too rich. Service was decent, but it was hard to get in and out in the hour I have for my lunch break.

Average food. Being on the water is nice, but not the only thing I look for in a restaurant. Being able to dock is cool, but it's still over priced for the food.

Nice little place. Great View. People kayak and boat right up to the restaurant. Has some great beer on tap. And the food is delicious as well. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

A great place to go on a fantastically sunny day in the Northwest. You definitely can't beat the views and the atmosphere of this place. The food was pretty tasty as well. I had this crab sandwich concoction w/cheddar cheese - was very yummy. The bread was overly toasted but didn't mind since they used real crab instead of imitation in this sandwich. He had the gorgonzola burger and the gorgonzola was a little too much for him. We had this coconut cheesecake w/a pina colada sauce, delicious, I thought. Can't beat the refreshing taste of coconut and bits of pineapple on a gorgeous sunny day! Can't believe I've lived in btown all my life and just recently ate here! Yes, I know, I've been missing out. Can't wait to go back to try out their pasta dishes.

Excellent food, view and service! Host staff is great...weekends are busy...but you can wait in the bar/lounge area and have a cocktail : ) Same owner as the Yacht Club Broiler in Silverdale....both a must try!

I went to The Boat Shed for dinner with a 3 friends, and I have, yet again, found a restaurant in Bremerton that I will not return to. This was the second time I went to the Boat Shed, and each time, I have been disappointed with the quality one gets for the price paid. On my last visit, I ordered an almond/amaretto Halibut. The description sounded as if there would be a nice almond crust, but when the fish arrived, I was rather surprised to see a simple piece of grilled Halibut with three big dollops of an amaretto infused butter. As the server sat it down, she even mentioned her surprise at seeing the "almond/amaretto was butter." The halibut was mediocre, and some bites were extremely fishy. The steak was lacking a good seasoning, the shrimp (or prawns) were swimming in a greasy pool of butter, and our server seemed to simply disappear. The presentation was even humorous. The limp potatoes, snow peas and halibut were encircled by a cole-slaw shreds of green, orange and purple. This is once again a more pricy restaurant that serves food I can make ten times better at home. The location is nice, but it the incompetent service and non-impressing food overshadow that lovely detail. I have realized that for a nice evening out, I must travel across the Sound to Seattle.

Kinda left with a blah feeling. The location is awesome and I would love to come on a nice day and sit outside. The food however...I wasn't as impressed. I had the halibut fish and chips which were actually very good, my sister had the salmon which I wasn't as big of a fan of. It is a great spot for drinks or basic dishes, but don't order anything to over the top. I would be willing to give it another shot, but it wasn't a place I would come rushing to.

The Boat Shed is my husbands family go to restaurant for family get togethers. The setting is very beautiful. A rustic but classy dinning area on the water overlooking Sinclair inlet. They have a huge outdoor deck that is really one of the only good outdoor eating spots in Bremerton as far as I know. You can come by foot, car or boat as they have their own dock. I would give it 5 stars except that the food is inconsistent. Sometimes it is very good but sometimes it is pretty bad. It is pretty safe to order something fried or a burger, but the fresh fish not so much. Disappointing since it is right on the water. Great place to go get a drink, some apps and enjoy the view.

very nice view, the food is middle of the road, the service is lacking and the prices make sure you know they have waterfront bills to pay.

Oh man, the food here is so good! When I worked in Bremerton, this was the place we came to celebrate employee birthdays and such and just have a good time. I love sitting out on the patio during the summer watching the boaters drive up to the dock and just taking in the view. That is just too cool! Seriously, one of my favorite memories was coming here with a couple of my co-workers, actually my only co-workers, I was working at a small savings and loan. I was here with my boss (LOL) and the teller supervisor and we all got drunk off the super yummy margaritas. It was good times. The Boat Shed is the best place for seafood in Bremerton.
