Found ourselves hungry in a part of town that we do not know well, so, thanks to Yelp, we discovered Korea House. We enjoy Korean food and miss eating it more often (our family lived in Asia for a number of years), but we were not quite as enamored with the food here as some of the other reviewers have been. That said, the food was perfectly fine and this was a great place for a quick stop with our eight-year-old son. I will add that the service was excellent!

I've been here a few times and every time has been great. The service is great and everyone is extremely friendly, always greeting us with a smile. Came here last night with my boyfriend and his family, as well as my family. I noticed they added something new to their menu, sushi! As a sushi fanatic, I was a bit skeptical about ordering sushi at a none sushi restaurant but I was wrong. The fish cut was not thin! Each role were deliciously made by the owner himself, who is very friendly. We ordered the 4 ft long sushi rolls (chefs choice) and we were not disappointed. The prices are in the high range but it makes up with the portion. Every time my boyfriend and I come here, we always ordered at least two dish to share but could never finish them. Just too much food. I will keep coming back here and highly recommend this to anyone.

What makes this place exceptional beyond any yummy Korean restaurant: - excellent, friendly, attentive service... I was really impressed with the owner, as a business owner myself - generous portions: ~$25 seems pricey for each of the dinner BBQ options, but it is actually a LOT of meat, plenty to share - 4 ft long chef's special sushi roll is yummy and worth getting for the wow factor and photo opp - the best rice ever! Purple rice with a perfect, slightly chewy consistency. Normally I barely eat restaurant white rice but I couldn't stop eating the rice here even with all the delicious other food - the barley tea is SOOO good. Couldn't get enough of that either! - pretty much everything here was yummier than what I've had at other Korean restaurants, particularly the jap chae (sweet potato noodles) and some of the side dishes (pickled cucumbers were my fave, and the fish cake strips which I don't normally like we're actually enjoyable here)

Korea House has DEFINITELY become my favorite Korean restaurant in the whole Everett to Seattle area. Came here with my cousin, aunt, and sister for my first time. The owner is so so sweet and funny! The staff is always attentive and kind. Gives it a nice homey feel almost. (I don't remember exact names! I'm sorry!) we ordered the bibimbap, soft tofu soup with flounder, jap chae, and sizzling pork belly. I love love love soft tofu soup and this one really hit the spot. What was even better though was the flounder that came with the soft tofu soup combo! I LOVED that! It had a lot of raw onions that came-which I happen to love. Of course the soup came with side dishes and I must've asked for like 4 extra orders of the pickled radish/daikon thing. The jap chae was just like any other jap chae I've had. Wasn't too impressed, but that's partly due to me not liking it. Sizzling pork belly was okay, to me it was very very fatty (I know it's pork belly...). Not a fan of that either but the sauce was very good! Didn't get to try the bibimbap, but be sure to specific hot or cold stone pot. I guess my aunt just assumed they only served hot stone. The hot stone bibimbap has the nice fried and crispy rice on the bottom. I love this place, even after just one visit. Definitely will be coming here soon. The atmosphere is very welcoming and was a huge part of why I liked it so much. Food + staff = 5 stars! It's great!

If you are a local who loves going to Korea House for your Korean food fix, skip this review, because it will probably piss you off. With Lynnwood and Edmonds full of more authentic and cheaper Korean food just a few miles up I-405/I-5, I do not understand how this place gets the reviews it does. My husband and I have been monitoring the Yelp reviews on this new'ish Korean restaurant since it opened. We found ourselves running errands in Woodinville yesterday, so we decided to try Korea House for dinner. The space itself is lovely, and we were greeted by a friendly waiter and seated at a large table to accommodate our family. And let me say that the staff was courteous and service was good throughout our meal. As for the food... We ordered a Family Dinner meal that included smaller portions of grilled mackerel, marinated kalbi, pork katsu, fish jun and vegetable pancake. Of the lot, the grilled mackerel and pork katsu were fine - nothing great but passable. The vegetable pancake was crispy along the edges but raw in the middle. The fish jun (fish dipped in egg and pan-fried) tasted strongly of dirt - likely farmed tilapia. And the kalbi was very sweet - so much sugar, there was like a glaze on it. Oh, the meal came with dweng jang jigae, but they kindly subbed it for soft tofu stew for the kids - which was SUPER nice service-wise - but the tofu stew was bland. We also ordered an order of shrimp tempura. What do you envision when you think of shrimp tempura? Straightened shrimp that is coated in panko and deep fried, right? Look at my pictures - this was straight up frozen coconut shrimp from Costco, folks. My picky but shrimp tempura-loving kid took one bite and said, 'What kind of shrimp tempura is this? Why is it so sweet?' Sadly, this is what I ate most of, since it was the best thing on the table. There was also a spicy fried chicken dish we ordered last minute. Inedible. I literally spat it out. Freezer burnt chicken meat. My husband insisted if you ate the smaller pieces, it tasted better, since you got mainly fried coating. Really? And the sauce had no flavor that I could discern. We barely touched it - such a waste of $15.95. Finally, we ordered the mul neng myun and bulgogi combo. As far as the broth goes, the mul neng myun wins for coldness - nice pieces of frozen broth pieces floating around. However, it tasted like it was straight up from a seasoning packet, no beef detected in that broth at all. We think this is why they serve it with bulgogi rather than having sliced beef brisket in the neng myun. The broth was also very sweet. And the noodles were not homemade - they were the frozen noodles. For being frozen noodles, they did cook them well. However, you can find much better mul neng myun in Lynnwood and Bellevue with homemade buckwheat noodles and more savory, beefy broth. Oh and the kicker with this total fail of a meal? It was pricier than any other Korean restaurant we've tried from Lynnwood to Shoreline to Bellevue to Federal Way. Thumbs up for service, thumbs down for food and price.

Wow!!! This place looks classy and very family oriented. From beginning to end the service was phenomenal. We love Korean food and we had our share of hits and misses. This place by far is the "BEST". Food.. Awesome .. People.. Awesome... Enjoy!!!!!

My daughter and I just moved to Bothell. Love Korean food, and was lucky enough to learn how close this little gem is to us. Best, most welcoming service. They're warm, welcoming, and really embrace and appreciate their customers base. They're bulgogi is wonderful. It tender, lean....whereas a lot of other places the meat is fatty. You can see how fresh everything is. What's strange is I also notice they never let your glass go empty. Whether it's water, soda, soju . What's awesome is they try really hard to accommodate every customer and they're needs, and engage with each one. My daughter and I had come in from a long drive from the Gran Coulée Dam, we called ahead so we could eat right away. When we arrived our food was ready to go, ice cold water was waiting for us, and were welcomed by the wonderful staff, which made the sunburn and heat exhaustion not so bad. Went in another time very ill after some dental work, but needed some warm soup. They took one look at me, and anticipated what I needed, were quick and helpful in their service, and were quick with a sprite and plenty of water. They're restaurant is beautifully decorated and everything is well maintained and inexplicably clean. Wonderful experience(s) every time I go. We've been there a few times now. Would recommend this restaurant any day of the week.

great service and great food. Went there for the first time and the staff was very friendly! Did not expect that from a Korean restaurant. Food was very authentic and delicious. Definitely recommending to others.

I really wanted to give 5 stars because of the excellent service and fun atmosphere. The creative sake/soju infusions were a delight and the manager has so much charisma and energy, it's a great experience. The environment is very clean and upkept. The architecture is open and yet private for your dinner needs. The timeliness of service was awesome and prompt. The food arrived and I was excited! The side dishes were various and abundant. Wait staff was always available and checking up on needs at a good interval given the type of food and needs that come with it. The unfortunate 1 star fault would be placed due to the undercooked chicken I found in the pile of ok tasting "spicy" chicken I ordered. The price is a little higher than most I have seen out of the Seattle general area. The kimchee soup was awesome. but the chicken once again, was not sautéed with much flavor and of course...rubbery undercooked pieces turned me away from the whole thing in the end. Lucky for us, the soup was good enough to live off of and had great pieces of non fatty beef in it as well. Love the place, the people, and the clean atmosphere. Overall, I am a fan. Thanks!

I've been here several times - and i admit their dishes are quite delicious. Staff is generally welcoming and nice, but candidly speaking, not as attentive as I'd like for them to be. They will greet you, seat you to a table, but then kind of zip in and out throughout the course of your meal. I do like that they provide complimentary salad for everyone, which is a plus. Be aware that prices here are pretty steep compared to other korean restaurants. At the end of the day, I'm happy that this place is located in close proximity to my home and I'll be a returning customer.

Korean not needed Probably the first time i ever went to a korean restaurant where I didn't have to speak korean to the server, and realized that ANY of my friends would be able to come here without a korean friend/speaker. And their food: totally legit. The best thing on their menu is their Mul Naehng Myun (cold noodle, that's in a chilled beef broth that's served with korean melons, asian pears, thinly sliced cucumber.) it's the perfect thing to have on a hot seattle day. It's on my top 3 best mul nehng myuns i have had in my life. Perfectly savory, with a nice vinegary crips, it was delicious. The mul nehng myung was complemented with an order of their dduk bokki (spicy rice cake). I love how they used high-grade thinly sliced meat for their ddukbokki. None of that grounded meat crap that's usually used in this dish. It's ballin. We're definitely looking forward to going back and trying their other dishes. Great service, even better banchan (we devoured their dried anchovies like whales) and fantastic food. The place is even clean and presentable to bring your date or family from out of town. I highly recommend this place for first time korean food adventurers or second generation koreans!

Some of dishes are good some of them is ok and pricey. But their service was excellent and owner was really friendly and nice. Only my complain is their side dishes are bed compare to other Korean restaurants. They need to improve their side dishes.

Been here more than 3x and they always give great service and their food is amazing. I recommend their Kimchi Fried Rice, Spicy pork belly, Stir fried squid. Entrées ranges from $8-$25+ Love the environment, it actually feels like a home and they have big spacious seating which is good for groups and kids. They have a lot of plants and decorations which I think it's pretty neat. The service is really warm and friendly. Everyone smiles and treats guests with welcoming attitude. The owners are also cool and funny too. Really good place for big groups and families!

I don't usually frequent Korean restaurants. When I do eat Korean, it's usually at some sort of buffet setting. But Korea House I am fond of. Seems like a family owned business. They could get busy at times, but they are usually pretty attentive of their customers. The food is delicious and you get a good portion. Most of their dishes are family style so keep that in mind. Their main dishes come with all the sides that are expected when you eat at a Korean restaurant. BBQ beef and pork are delicious and so is there kimchi soup. Haven't tried their sushi yet though but who goes to a Korean BBQ restaurant for sushi anyway?

  • Christina H.

I really want to like this place. it is close to my house, it is clean, nicely decorated, nice wait staff, serves liquor... All the elements I look for in a good restaurant. But the food.... It is just not Korean enough. The pancake was too thick and on the soggy side. The soft tofu soup was OK, missing something I usually had in other Korean joints. They have Americanized sushi, again, it's OK, but not Wow. So was their bulgogi. It is not a place that I will avoid, but it's not something I will write home about either. It is just, meh.

Drove all the way from Seattle to Korea House and it was worth it. The food was really good. Service was 5 stars and the setting for the restaurant was wonderful. All equipment and utensils used in the restaurant were very clean as well! Well deserved 5 star!

Food and service, this place is top notch. Tucked into a strip mall in Trashes Corner, this place has an expansive Korean menu with lots of selection. I had the squid, awesome.

I love that this place is close to where I live so I can come back often! I had the hot stone bibimbap and it's the best one I've tried yet. The service is top notch and the quality of the food is fresh and perfect. The atmosphere is darling and inviting. The staff are so friendly! You'll love it and will have to give this place a try!

I found Korea House on Yelp. I was in the Bothell area for work, and after a long work day, I wanted a hot and comforting meal. My first time, I ordered the tofu soup bowl and spicy pork. It was a lot of food, but it was so good that I ate all of it. The servers were super sweet and kept making sure that I had everything and was enjoying the food. I love coming back when in the area and have recommended Korea House to my co-workers.

This may be my new favorite Korean restaurant. We recently picked up dinner from Korea House after a weekend out of town, and their food hit the spot. Their kalbi was delicious, as was their bi bim bap - the best I've had since moving to Washington, and my husband loved his kimchee fried rice. We love loved Korea House and we will definitely be back.

So glad to have found the Korea House in Bothell! Not having much expectation going in, we were completely blown away by the excellent service and delicious food. The seafood pancake was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and was thick, fluffy and flavorful. For a sunny day with a slight chill, the tofu soup was a perfect fix. The tofu soaked up the goodness of the soup yet maintained the beautiful taste of tofu, it was delicious! The kimchi, oh my, I could eat a bucket of it. The BBQ beef was super tender and flavorful. The wait crew was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and courteous. Looking at the way they greeted customers and introduced the menu, their passion was contagious. I definitely will go back for more!

Wonderful new restaurant in Bothell/Mill Creek area. The service is exceptional. The server was very informative and explained the menu to us. I've been there for dinner and lunch time and there is not waiting time, probably because is new, but the quality of the food is excellent, fresh and really tasty. This is one of my new favorite restaurants right now and will visit many times. Great complimentary hot tea too! Definitely recommended!

This is going to be a little awkward. My friend (who also wrote a review) got food poisoning off some undercooked octopus (and undercooked it was, I tried a little piece.) I later went back and talked to the owner about this. He was apologetic, offering to pay any medical bills. However - the night the dish was served, when we tried to explain why the octopus wasn't cooked right, the server rather downplayed our concerns by saying that it was cooked more towards Korean tastes (which is why he offered the squid.) The owner said that octopus was easy to overcook - but that's not much of an excuse, since undercooking octopus can give you vibrio parahaemolyticus which can last for days. I don't like writing this because I've waited for years to have a decent Korean place closer to where I live, the first few times were excellent, and I want to see them succeed. I haven't decided if I'll come back here, as there are restaurants in the area where I've never had any problems (BMG Thai is right up the street and is solid.) If you decide to eat here, I'd strongly caution against getting the octopus.

So glad to find a Korean restaurant closer to the area. I was initially kind of weary about the higher prices; however, the great, authentic Korean food and great service (which is hard to typically get at Korean restaurants) more than makes up for it. My husband and I love to get the large Hot Pot selections. Delicious!

I was thrilled when I found out that there was a Korean restaurant in Bothell close to my home. When I finally checked the place out, upon first glance, the place was clean, well decorated, and welcoming. The food I ordered was pretty good, and came with a nice assortment of side dishes which pleased me. However, I found the prices to be on the steeper side compared to other Korean places. I cannot say I would recommend Korea House on the food alone when there are cheaper, and just as tasty Korean restaurants elsewhere.

So happy to have found this new Korean restaurant in Bothell. We are relatively light eaters, so the two of us sharing the Maeuntang - seafood stew, was just right. It was delicious. This was our first visit, but we plan to be back to try other items. So we returned on a hot day and had their Mul Naengmyun. We were absolutely wowed by their version. It was delicious and refreshing. It comes with ice in the wonderful broth with thin, chewy great tasting noodles along with pear, various vegetables and a hard boiled egg. An infused oil and vinegar is brought so that you can add to your own taste. A small portion of Boolgogi comes with. For $10.95, a tremendous bargain. For dessert, the Pot Bing Soo, shaved ice with red beans and mochi morsels was perfect for a hot day. It was big enough for four people to share. The menu has so many more enticing items, that we will be returning often.

I love coming to this place. The ambiance is western/elegant style but the food is traditional Korean. Their flat stone bibimbap really stands out because you end up getting a lot more crispy rice than the bowl kind. Their goat hot soup is so delicious, enough to eat it for 1-2 extra settings. The service is also top rated for a Korean place. Very impressed

  • Monica D.

I came here during my lunch to have some tofu soup. The food is a little pricier than other Korean places however this is the only korean restaurant in bothell. I was waiting for this place to open for a long time. My first visit was so disappointing! I ordered soup with clams and mussels for lunch for 8.95$. This was their lunch special price so it's more expensive during dinner. As I ate my soup I kept getting chunks of broken clam shells in each bite.... It really ruined my lunch. I tried to be polite and took my time eating the soup after biting into so many shells. They also put the egg in my soup way too early and by the time it was brought over to my table the egg was fully cooked. The service is ok, I can tell one of the servers was trying hard to gain more customers while all the other servers sort of disappeared after bringing your food. I might try it again but I will probably not order anything with clams next time.

Food was great, service was great and place was very, very clean. We were both very pleased, as we usually drive to Lynnwood for Korean and this place is so much closer. We will be regular customers from now on!

YAY! I finally have a go-to Korean place that isn't infested with the smells of grilling meat! I like that this one is a fifteen minute drive away, in a clean modern interior, and has a wide variety of delicious foods to choose from. My favorite is the soft tofu stew with assorted vegetables; husband's favorite is the tofu bibimbap in a stone bowl. Customer service is excellent (Usually I'm ignored at Korean restaurants after they realize I'm not Korean), which I appreciate. I hear they are bringing in sushi and have a new menu coming in, so I'm excited to see what will come! If you're looking for Ave pricing or all-you-can-eat BBQ pricing...this isn't it. If you want high quality Korean food with excellent customer service and live in the North end...come here.

Really kind and thoughtful stuff! Of course their foods are really tasty too! I only have been here twice for dinner, though they never disappoint me. They offer to refill small dishes you get as much as you like too. When I brought my leftover seafood pancake home, they put a new sauce to dip the food in the container which I thought was amazing! This is my go to Korean food restaurant now.

I been by here a few time for both dine in and take out. Great Korean food by my house. The prices seem to me to be a bit pricy for dinner but good for lunch. What bumps my review up to 4 stars are the amount of food you get for take out with the lunch specials. They pack everything including the banchan which always ends up being portioned into a second meal. Very happy they are in the neighborhood and will definitely become a regular. Oh the wait staff are very friendly and helpful too!

This is one of my favorite Korean restaurants. From the food to the service, I have no complaints. I've tried the ddukbokki, yukgaejang, haemul pajeon, and yaki mandu. All these dishes have been excellent, as well as the banchan. Service here is outstanding! As someone who is half Korean (and sadly, I don't look Korean or Asian for that matter), most Korean restaurants treat me like I have no clue about the food. This is the first place that treats me like I know what I'm talking about. The first time I ordered yukgaejang, they asked me if I knew it was spicy. I say yes and that my Mom was Korean and I grew up eating Korean food. Enough said. My yukgaejang is spicy every time I order it. Yes, that's important to me. Going to be a regular at this place.

We used to frequent Ho Soon Yi in Edmonds but they changed owners so we were pretty disappointed because the menu changed a little too. One night, we checked out Korea House based on yelp, and it was ran by the old owners from Ho Soon Yi, score! The owner was so kind as to ask a waiter to get us alcoholic beverages on the house since we we were some of his old customers. We really appreciated that he even remembered us & the kind gesture. We have now been here several times in the last few months and food is consistently good with large portions. Our favorites are the beef bulgogi & seafood pancake (although this is almost too big, wish they had a smaller portion). We also like the seafood soft tofu soup. The sides that come with the meals are great and they refill them for free. I keep seeing reviewers say this place is pricey, I would actually say it is average for Korean. I've paid the same price in Lynnwood for Korean BBQ with much smaller portions. Korea House is located in what used to be a Mexican restaurant. They did a nice job with the build out and the space feels clean and well-vented. Tons of lot parking. Favorite local Korean joint, hands down!

Love this place! First time there and I got take out. They were nice enough to explain that the bbq was for two and that I could get a half order. He showed me the side which looked yummy! They said the order would take 20 minute and I swear it was less than 10. The calbi was great! I don't mind not cooking my own. The rice was really good! Some of the sides were ok but I loved the fish cake, potatoes and bean sprouts. I will definitely be back and would recommend this place. They treated me great which is a good thing!

Nice new family restaurant in Bothell! We tried the squid with spicy veggie stir fry and bulgogi stew. The stir fry came out with HUGE portions. Really good homemade kimchi and the flavors on the stir fry were amazing. The dinner price is a bit expensive for a Korean restaurant, however the portion size is enough for your next meal. The atmosphere is a nice homey family style restaurant that can fit large parties. Loved our host - very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the dishes. They also had interesting meats and a large menu... might try the goat next time!

Awesome Korean food in Bothell. The Kalbi Beef delicious, the staff is so attentive and nice, food came out quick even on a Friday night. Morrison is so friendly and has some great suggestions if you need help making a decision. I will definitely be back.

Good restaurant that will please experienced and non experienced Korean food customers. It has all the authentic Korean food that is done right and taste great and also foods that are more general. Seems like most is good review, but there are some that complain about that price, well yes there are cheaper Korean places but i believe you get what you paid for. Overall most will enjoy the food here!

After living in Korea for a year and indulging in all that the country has to offer culinary wise, I came home finding myself hungry for food that could compare. I have been to a few Korean places throughout the greater Seattle area and this one completely takes the cake. The boyfriend and I went in for his birthday dinner and couldn't have been happier with our experience. A dinner for two will cost you around $60-75, which I found to be completely reasonable as the portions here are quite large. The food we ordered was enough to completely fill us for dinner, with leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day (And we have pretty good appetites)! Our waiter was incredibly helpful and an absolute joy. The kalbi and dwaeji bulgogi were fantastic! Some of the best I have had both here and Korea included! Highly, highly recommend this place if you are looking to have a great Korean dining experience. I can hardly wait to go back and try more of the favorite dishes I miss so much.

The restaurant was very clean and decor is spot on. I had the chicken bagogi. The sauce was a bit sweet (I was stationed in Korea while in the USAF). The bah an (sides) were just ok. The other patrons (mainly Korean). Seemed to be enjoying their dishes. It's worth another try......

We ordered Maeuntang and seafood pancake. The broth of maeuntang was tasteless and all the seafood in this soup was obviously "previously frozen" so it was awful. Maeuntang was like $26-27. Seafood pancake barely had any green onion or seafood in it, it was just a greasy wheat cake... I give 2 stars for their good customer service.

I've only been to a few Korean restaurants in Seattle, Shoreline, and Edmonds (haven't been checked out the K-scene in Federal Way...yet). I was really excited to check out The Korea House in Bothell's Thrasher's Corner, especially after reading other Yelp posts. Locate the Safeway on Bothell-Everett Highway (between Mill Creek and Bothell's Canyon Park) and look north, it's tucked between a dentist office and a laundromat, don't let the strip mall deter you. The Korea House is overseen by the folks who used to be at Hoosoonyi in Edmonds. With the family in tow, we decided to check it out for a late lunch earlier today (lunch hours are 11am - 3pm daily). Warm greeting upon entry and seated shortly thereafter. Lots of seating arrangements with modern décor, although our booth had a micro Ten Commandments interspersed with candles and other bric a brac. Note - there are no grilling stations at your table though. Eye-catching menu once you get past laughing at the initial typos of Fofu Suop = Tofu Soup. We had exceptional service. If you end up with Morrison as your server, you are in good hands! He was very enthusiastic and well versed with the menu. Also, you will be kept well hydrated with ice water and/or the house barley corn tea. Each of us had a tiny bowl of a combo of brown and white rice, perfectly cooked. We also shared an assortment of banchan (kimchi, pickled cucumber, pickled daikon radish, potato, fish cake, bean sprouts, thick noodle, to name a few). You can get additional banchan selections, upon request. The husband selected Jop Chae ($11.95, tender beef, assorted vegetables, and translucent potato noodles). This Korean dish is very similar to a version of Filipino pancit. The kiddo selected Maeun Dwe-Jee Boolgogi which met with our server's approval ($11.95, spicy Korean barbeque pork) and a Fanta/Crush orange soda ($1.50). The dish was devoured and with intermittent swigs of soda tasted like Fruit Loops. This got a high five from our server. Evidently he was amused with our tween's twisted culinary sense of humor. I snagged bites from each of their entrées as I waited for my 'major thermal bubbling cauldron' of Fish Cake Stew ($9.95) served in a stone bowl to cool off. OMG - that was an incredible flavorful, piping hot broth infused by the greens, onions, sesame seeds, three mussels, and assorted fish/seafood cakes! With a few bites of rice and assorted banchan, I left an hour later very full and happy inducing a major food coma. Outstanding lunch experience and definitely highly recommended! I look forward to many more future visits. Thanks again Yelpers and Morrison! Here's their very mouth watering website to peruse beforehand: thekoreahouseofseattle.c…

This is little hidden in the Safeway complex and has got great people and service. Some things to mention is: 1. They have ver little chicken option. So unless you eat all kind of meat your options are very limited. 2. It's a place to go in groups. If you are single it is not worth going here. 3. Food is expensive and quantity is huge. But food is very oily and not too healthy. The taste is okay though. I would not say great.

Love! The atmosphere, service and of course the food are all wonderful. This is my second time here but my first time was only a couple days ago. Lol It's a very happy, lovely place and I'm so super into it.

Finally!! A Korean Restaurant in Bothell and a good one too!! We had the So-Gogi Dwe-Jee-Gogi Soondubu (Soft Tofu Soup w/Beef Pork mix) and it was delicious. One of the better Soondubu that I've tried. We liked it so much that we ordered another one. We also had the Gal-Bi (Korean BBQ Beef Short Rib) and that was super delicious too. Very tasty and flavorful. The service was great and the ambiance was nice. Will be back again for sure!

Loved this place! The food is phenomenal, the service, ambiance, and music are added bonuses. Can't go wrong with your choices, and they tell me they will be expanding. We've found our favorite place! It only took us 2+ years, but well worth it...

This place has officially become my favorite restaurant hands down. The food is amazing and so far I've been able to try 9 of their dishes and every one of them have been on point. As a korean person I know good korean food and quality. The price is a little higher on certain items but it comes down again to the quality of food which 100% justifies the price. The staff has always been super gracious to us and especially the last time we went for my mothers birthday they made it so special for her! I'm trying to limit myself to visiting here once every two weeks because im hooked ! More restaurants need to take their lead in how they treat customers because it is a family atmosphere and they make you feel so welcome.

Friendly owners and yummy food! I love the galbi-tang soup. Kimchee fried rice isn't too spicy and seafood pancake is nice and crunchy on the edges.

Food was bland, the side dish was not fresh. I got the seafood soondubu but I didn't see lot of seafood. The service seemed good. I don't know if I would go back. I would drive out to get better Korean good.

Very happy to find this delicious Korean Restaurant in the Bothell area! The owners of this restaurant are the former owners of Hosoonyi in Edmonds, and I'm glad to say they brought all their recipes and marinades to this new place. We had the spicy pork which had just the right amount of kick, and the kalbi was tender and flavorful. Both dishes are a little pricey at dinner time, but they really mound on the meat so either come hungry and you'll bring home awesome leftovers! Also ordered the deep fried mandoo, and when the owner recognized us from the days we visited Hosoonyi he brought us some veggie tempura on the house. It's that kind of service that made our visits to their old restaurant special, and which will keep us coming back to their new location many times in the future! Highly recommended!

Whoa, really great food. The soon dubu and naeng myun were both tasty. Didn't order any of the BBQ dishes, but they looked great as they passed our table. We'll definitely be coming back.

The SDB was OK. Nothing special. The side dishes were fresh and above par. I would probably go again if I was in the area, but ill stick to Cho dang in FW.

food is fresh and delicious, would have given 5 stars but it is relatively pretty pricy for Korean food. I guess you pay for the convenience since it's located in Bothell. good for lunch, they have lunch specials that are yummy.

Korea House was a delight! We were greeted by the owners and sat pretty quickly. The waiter, I believe his name was Morrison, was very friendly and gave some great recommendations. I went with the spicy daegee bulgogi(spicy bbq pork) and it did not disappoint! The spicy bbq pork is my favorite dish, and of all the Korean restaurants I've been to in the States, Canada, Korea, and family members....it was definitely top 3 of the best I've tasted. The menu was fantastic! The pictures actually depict a realistic picture of what to expect. The menu was very friendly for those that can real Korean and/or English, which is a big plus in my book. The menu featured traditional dishes and some dishes with a western twist. I'm excited to go back and try something new. If you are in the mood for some Korean food, I would highly recommend giving this place a shot!

Newly Opened, the waiters and waitresses are very patient and attentive. The egg pollack soon tofu during lunch special is amazing. The banchon isnt as good as other korean eateries but its clean and new.

It was our first time here and aside from an armchair knowledge of Korean food (You Tube!), we weren't sure what to order. The waitperson/host was incredibly helpful in narrowing something down for us. I was with my 12yo son and we just wanted to share something. We ordered the seafood hot bibimbap. The rice definitely delivered -- it was crunchy on the bottom to add that texture, the vegetables plenty, but the seafood was an odd mix and there didn't seem to be much of it. A mussel or two, a clam or two, some squid, some eel (I think), and I'm pretty sure there were no shrimp. Also, I was expecting the egg on the top to be poached like the photo, but it came scrambled and sliced in shreds, so that was a little disappointing. The side dishes that come with the bowl are almost another meal altogether. I think there were 8 of them -- kimchi cabbage, kimchi radish, kimchi potato, some pickled bean sprouts, some spicy tofu, a spicy fishcake, some kind of root I don't remember, and then something else. They were all good in different ways depending on the texture of things that appeal to you and whether you favor sweet or pickled or spicy. It was all certainly a fun experience and we took a lot of those side dishes home with us since we simply ran out of room in our tummies! Overall, the staff was extremely attentive and helpful in explaining the food culture and ingredients of what we were eating, which was fun. The restaurant was busy (Friday noon lunch!), but we were never ignored. For some reason we were not served hot tea as many of the other reviewers have mentioned here and were never asked if we wanted any (my 12yo loves tea, so that would have been nice). Also, our meal was served with a green salad prior to the main course which I felt was pretty unnecessary but maybe it is traditional? Total for our shared meal was $13, not including tip. We will be back to try some Korean barbecue meats and also one of the lunch soups that caught my eye. There was also a table near us that ordered a thick-noodle dish that almost made me want to go sit with them, so we will have to try that one, too! ETA: Several hours later, the leftovers cold out of the fridge are even more delicious! :)

If you've missed classic Hoosoonyi of yesteryore, great news -- the owner is back at it with this spot. And. It. Is. Fantastic. The service was fast and friendly. Now, I don't measure my Korean restaurants by the quality of service, but this was a pleasant surprise, so let's get that out of the way first. We ordered the seafood tofu soup, seafood pancake, and pork belly BBQ. The flavors were out of this world. There's some secret extra ingredient in the soup that gives it a distinct zing that'll have me craving it above all other area spots. The pancake was also on point, with a nice crunchy outside, chewy inside, and plenty of seafood bits, without being greasy and oily like you'll find most others do it. The mountain of pork belly was also delish, and came out with a nice char on the outside, still sizzling on a hot plate. I will be back. Frequently.

I so wanted to give this place 5 stars! My first visit was great - just the day after they opened. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I asked for a favorite of mine as a banchan - radish kimchee and it was so tasty. I raved so much about it, the woman gave me a small container of it to take home (they make it in house). So a few weeks ago I got back from a two week vacation in Mexico and was craving Korean food. We went the day I returned. I ordered the spicy octopus dish. It came out and I was disappointed - the octopus was way too chewy to eat. I mentioned this to the server and he apologized and actually insisted on bringing out some spicy squid for me. The squid was so much better. Anyways, I went home and three hours later I realized that something was wrong - i got quite sick and ended up throwing up for 2 hours. My guess was that the octopus was the reason, as my dining partner had something different and was fine. I want to go back, but it will take a while for me to get the courage to eat Korean food again (it really is my favorite food so its quite sad). The excitement over this new restaurant is over for me, and I hope to go back someday and enjoy their other dishes.

I will be the first to admit, I was really sad when the Mexican place went out of business BUT this has been a wonderful surprise. I was taking a girlfriend out for dinner this past weekend and she wanted sushi. I had heard about the Korea House and had seen the reviews and was able to convince her to have Korean and not sushi and boy were we both happy with that decision. It slipped that it was her birthday and the staff went above and beyond to show my friend and I a good time, they even gave her a slice of cheesecake. Everything we ate was AMAZING!! The staff also made our dining experience very pleasant. I'd come here all the time if I could, my waist line is saying NO!!

  • Heather M.

I was skeptical, what with all of the five star reviews. Pleasantly surprised. Really good food. Huge portions. The side dishes were fresh and delicious, the spicy pork was amazing, the tea was immediate and free. Attentive service, but not interruptive. Looking forward to trying their soon dubu. I imagine this place gets busy for dinner rush, as they were taking a lot of reservations on the phone.

Came here during lunch time with a group of friends. Wasn't too busy and prices were cheaper than usual so that was nice. Ordered the bulgogi with rice. Shared the side dishes between all my friends. Portions were good to fill you up and everything was delicious. Could not remember the server's name but excellent service as well. The prices are a little high but the service and food is definitely worth it.

  • Denise W.

Went here with 3 other folks and found the chairs and tables a little odd. The older gentleman asked if we wanted to sit at this bar height table for 8. Wasn't really in the mood to yell across the table at my friends so declined. Don't get my wrong customer service was friendly throughout. We ordered the beef short ribs, bi bim bop, spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was delicious although it reminded me of Chinese chicken. The bi bim bop was ok. The short ribs was a little on the blander side and for $29 I don't think it was for the price. The sides were also very bland. We got kim chi, tofu, Chinese broccoli, bean sprouts and some others and we just felt they all lacked the spicy and salt. Maybe the place was new so a little inconsistent. Will give it another try as they are close to home.

  • Michelle N.

Atmosphere and services was great. Food came out fairly quick and fresh. The food taste better than most Korean restaurants. I plan to come back six months from now and see if the qualities of the restaurant remind the same on very level. I hope they do. It was refreshing to have good service, an aspect that has become a rare trait for restaurants

We came in here when we were starving, craving sushi and found that our intended destination was closed. We checked Yelp for other places in the area and saw The Korea House and the high reviews. It lived up the the hype. We had never had Korean BBQ before, but our very helpful and friendly waiter did an amazing job of explaining everything in awesome details. We settled on the Bolgogi, Chicken Stone Pot, and Udon noodles. My word. Everything was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The presentation was top notch. I can't even handle how amazing it was. The Stone pot has this amazing crispy rice on the bottom that was an perfect crunchy compliment to the Chicken. The beef... So perfect. Tender, lean, and just the right amount of spicy. And the Udon Noodles were divine. Again, a bevy of delicious vegetable with perfect noodles. Just right. We all agreed our favorite sides were the spicy potatoes (seriously good), garlic tofu, and the fish cake. The rest of the staff was helpful and attentive. They refilled everything promptly. We ordered far too much for 3 people, but that just means we get leftovers. We all agreed it was easily one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives. We will absolutely be back!

I have tried many different Korean restaurants in WA and LA but this one really stood out. Service is great and the food is even better. I have went there multiple times and tried varieties of dishes and they never let me down. It maybe pricer than some Korean restaurants but it will worth every penny that you are planning to spend on. My personal favorites are cheese fried chicken, Beef short rib soup, garlic pork and chicken katsu. Also, the boss is really kind!

Amazing... My husband and I had the most amazing dining experience here... I've eaten at many high end, noted, and high rated restaurants around Seattle as our friends are foodies... Korean house takes the cake.. Actually the managers gave us this awesome cake because we waited an extra few minutes for our drinks... Of course he gave us two special house infused sake shots to start the dinner off... I was so not expecting the high level of service and the over the top fun friendly Atmosphere prevailed by the staff. Food was top notch and beats any Korean restaurants we've been to in Washington... Price was even easier to swallow than the creamy cake... Best of all this place is very unassuming and refreshing. Can't believe we just came here by chance!! We will now be regulars...

Nice ambience, nicely decorated, super friendly staff. The food is awesome especially the spicy chapjae which i think this is the only restaurant that has it. The spicy pork dish is a mountain of meat heaven. Soft tofu soup is also good. The service was outstanding. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes. Highly recommended

I can say this: Great food and great customer service and nice ambiance, very clean. We ordered short ribs and spicy pork, we are picky on our meat quality got to say that very good quality meat. we will be back for sure and would recommend this place for sure. Thank you for great food.

If you like Korean food than you have to try this place. It's brand new, only 5 days old!!!! The food was fantastic. Hot, fresh, and plenty of it. I wanted to keep eating but couldn't because I was so full. The only down side is that it wasn't as spicy as I would have liked, but that's it, thats the ONLY downside to the place (I really like spicy food). The decor was beautiful, and the service was amazing and super friendly. I will be returning here as it will become one of my favorite places to go.

Tonight picked up a To Go order, when I ordered I stressed NO SESAME SEEDS on anything, got home and you guessed it, covered in sesame seeds. Since it the place is a few miles away, I wasn't going all the way back, so I had to get my son a different meal. I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice, it was horrible!! I've had this meal all over Korea, and all over here in America; by far the worst I've ever had. The rest of the food hasn't been touched sour to the sesame seeds are all over and the allergic reaction would kill my son. If you want Korean go to "the Ave" near UW or to Federal Way, this isn't the place!!

I love their galbi beef, the meat is so tender. The owner is a very nice guy. He is full of smiles. The quality of food is awesome! The restaurant is nice. Near my home. I don't need to go to highway 99 to have Korean food anymore! This is my place to go. I am happy!!!

First time dining Korean and I'm so glad I chose Korea House! Our waiter Morrison was super friendly and did a complete overview of the menu with us, answering questions and explaining the dishes. He made sure that we knew we could make substitutions and/or try things half one way and half another way if the dish had several options in the way it's served. Amazing food, large portions and there were so many little extras that I can't even list them all! Prices were awesome and Morrison even came out with a little sample of some nice and spicy Korean BBQ pork that he wanted me to try because it was his favorite :) Dining room is comfortable and lovely inside, all the staff were extremely accommodating and I just can't wait to go back for wonderful food and new friends! I told Morrison we will most likely end up being on a first-name basis.......love Korea House!!

My family has been to this restaurant twice this month. Great service and great Korean food. It is a little bit more expensive compared to other Korean restaurant. My husband and I are very excited to have such a nice korean restaurant open up close to our residential community. I had been driving by the "Korean Restaurant" sign on Bothell-Everett Hwy almost every day on my way home from work from I-405 and have been meaning to try it out. I finally tried it out last week when I had to stop into the Dollar Tree that is next door. The restaurant is super clean, spacious and the service is wonderful! I tried out a few of my staple dishes and ordered (dinner menu) 1/2 kalbi and 1/2 pork bulgogi, kimchi fried rice (chicken), japchae and seafood pancake. This order was to-go, so they loaded me up with TONS of side dishes and rice! I also couldn't believe how thick the pancake was! I had so many bags that they helped me carry it out to my car, which I thought was really nice as well! Most of the Korean resto's I go to are in Lynnwood and it's a little out of my way as I live in Mill Creek, so I'm glad they finally opened one up in Bothell! I'll be back again very soon!

Best Korean spot near me because it's literally just down the street. I tried the stone bibimbap and it was delicious and fresh. I wish they put a bit more meat but it was still delicious! The banchan sides were good as well, my favorite was the radish kimchi. I should of asked for more because it was sooooo good. Service was awesome and our waiter was extremely nice. I will definitely be back, no more nasty all you can eat kbbq in Lynwood for me!!!!!!

My mom and I went to this cute little family owned restaurant located in the thrashers corner Safeway parking lot. It was late around 8pm. We are new to Korean food so we tired stone soup and and some kind of sweet and sour chicken. Both came with many traditional Korean sides and were very good the portions are very large so I recommend sharing if it's for two people overall we will be back

Excellent Korean food. I had the Gal-bi (Kalbi) ribs, and they were very flavorful. My companion had the soft tofu soup and it was also very good. The kim chee here is some of the best I've had. I especially liked the radishes. The mung bean sprouts were delicious, they taste just like a place I ate at when I was six or seven in Colorado (the first time I had Korean food) and it made me nostalgic! :) I like that they served green tea for free, and the service was excellent. Our waiter Morrison was super nice, and suggested some of his favorite things for us to try next time we come. His enthusiasm for food was refreshing, and you could tell he really was excited to share his joy of food. Always a good sign! The cook and another older lady also stopped by to make sure everything was good, but no one was so attentive as to be annoying. Just the right amount of friendliness and helpfulness. I'll definitely be back regularly, and will be bringing more people too. Next time I'll probably try the baby octopus dish, it looks very interesting!

Our new favorite restaurant in Seattle! Some of the best service I have EVER received. Friendly, kind, and attentive team. Great recommendations on dishes to try from our favorite server Morrison, who is always warm and enthusiastic! Everything that we've tried has been incredible. We have already visited eight times since discovering this gem a little over a month ago and I'm hungry for it again now after writing this!

I have been waiting for a Korean restaurant near my house for a while now and am happy that the Korean house restaurant just opened. I went with my 2 kids to check it out. I am super happy to report that the food is great and the service is excellent. The place is clean and new. We will be coming back. Did I tell you that my kids do not like Korean food but they asked to come back again. I get to meet the owners. They are awesome too.

I saw 5 star reviews, I was skeptical, I had lunch, I'm shocked, this place rocked, amazing flavors, lovely service, great kimchi, wonderful food. I had the bibimbap hot pot, it was amazing. The leftovers today were great. The rest of our table had a great variety and they were all totally impressed. I try different Korean places about once a month, this is the best I've had in several years of visiting north end places.

FANTISTIC! First time dining at a Korean restaurant and it was great! Food, service and prices were all top notch! The waiter took time to explain the menu and dishes. Ate off the lunch menu, lots of choices! The two of us shared two dishes and there is enough leftover for two to eat leftovers!

First time I've had Korean food at an actual Korean restaurant. Excellent food! I had the the Dak Bool Go Gi (Spicy Chicken) and my BF had Ori Bohk-Eum (Duck) both were delicious and we go so much! On top of the entrees we got to sample a bunch of Korean side dishes and salad. We had some Soju (because when in Rome...) and lots of tea. The service was great, I felt welcomed and they were very attentive. I agree with some of the other reviews, it is a little bit more pricey for an entree, but we had some much stuff on the side that we actually took home half our entrees. I'm really glad there are some new choices for restaurants out in Bothell! You won't be disappointed!

I cam here for dinner last night with some friends. It was amazing! The waiter (I think his name was Harrison?) greeted us and walked us through the menu. Just listening to him and how enthusiastic he was describing all the food made me want to order it all! But alas, there is no way I could eat all of it. We ordered the fried chicken, bowl of the bulgogi soup with noodles, rabokki, jap chae...all of it was delicious. They do such a great job coming around filling water/tea and checking to make sure that everything is ok without feeling like they are hovering. We will definitely be back to try all the other dishes our waiter told us about.

The BEST Korean food on the east side! An unassuming restaurant from the outside, but when you open the doors the decoration/atmosphere is very inviting and super clean...elegant even. The customer service is very professional-you are immediately greeted when you enter and checked on frequently (but not too frequently) throughout the meal. The food is spectacular. Possibly the best daeji bulgogi I've ever had. Portions are huge and the prices are competitive. Even my two young boys (who are picky eaters) said the food was great. My new favorite restaurant.
