Diabetics at Whataburger

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

Horrible customer service and way overpriced.

Good burger, fry and shake joint. Nothing spectacular.

Very good service, lots of great local events (like hot rod groups visiting) and beautiful landscaping. I'm already impressed and I haven't even sat in my car for ~5 minutes. The milkshakes are old school with tons of flavor and great taste. You want fries? Fresh cut potatoes and a huge portion fried in authentic oil. Hot and delicious, just like classic English fish and chips fries. You want a malt shake? Oh yes they have them.. very sweet and authentic shakes too, all you need is 50s music playing. The beef is grass feed and hormone free, the burgers are very good and a lot larger than most typical fast food chains. They also have classic desserts just like an old school diner, things like pie etc. You do get more quantity and quality here - so this place really is great for those that are tired of a pathetic tiny cheese burger with a dab of ketchup and a side of over salted french fries. Quality is king here, so you should expect to pay a little more. This place is on par with 5 guys, and its a local business that has been around since the 60s. I miss the old diners where the kids would go to hang out and stay out late enjoying classic quality food. This is exactly that type of place, and it still brings back classic movie memories. Unfortunately everyone seems to think eating fast food cheap is a good idea, so it's a shame to not see more of these types of local chains. Personal service (instead of order and you pickup) and the order being brought to you is also a really nice personal touch - and it tends to keep down the numbers of mistakes, since you can talk to the waiter if you see a problem with the order. All the cheapskates of course say "OMG!!! $1.00 more for a hamburger!!!" Yes.. this place costs more due to food quality and customer service.. if you aren't interested in paying for those things go eat reheated dog food derivative in a paper bowl at some other local chain and be "happy" saving your dollar. Nothing wrong with that. Here that isn't the story - here it's about service and quality - and it's local. You get what you pay for, and I can't wait to go again with my family.

So: I've eaten here once before. Decent food, fresh if a bit plain. A bit pricey, but I guess you pay for the drive-in experience (?) However, today I go there and park for a late night food run. Haven't eaten since breakfast. I arrive around 9:50. Burgermaster closes at 10:00. The signs on. The music's on. The menus are lit up. There's a cook in, and I see one car attendant. There are several cars parked, I suppose they must have all been employees. I wait 20 minutes. No one comes to the car to serve me. It's now past closing. My lights were on for service the entire time. Totally unacceptable to have a burger joint ignore a customer for 20 minutes while they're not busy. I don't care if it's Wendy's, Dick's, or some little mom 'n pop greasy spoon. One star for wasting my time.

Shockingly awful. You need to understand what category of restaurant this is. It is not a solid burger joint that is a step better than fast food (Five Guys), it is a place trying to imitate fast food, but doing it worse than the national chains. Dry & crumbly buns, soggy fries (several types), and burgers are dry and tasteless. They also come loaded with a literal 1/2" puck of raw onion that will need to be removed prior to eating. I suppose some people might go for this sort of thing, but for the astronomical price for the low quality, they can do better. Highly recommend that if you're looking for a cheap burger...keep driving and keep looking.

  • Sarah B.

Ordered a burger with extra pickles yesterday, still feeling sick from it today. It was soggy and greasy. I'm not sure what the hype is about, did they change cooks since the last reviews or what? Blazing onion is much better.

I love the style of dining, wish there were more of these restaurants around the Seattle area! But burger master is the spot! Service is always fast and the dad is very friendly! I love the many meals, there definitely big enough for me.

  • M J.

Consistently good food. Consistently fast and polite service. Consistently clean. Want a good old fashioned burger with a milk-shake? Burgermaster will not disappoint.

  • Ms K.

Such a different drive in! The menu is perfect as it hands veggie options too. The service was really good so we made sure we ripped them. The food was so good. I ordered the burger master combo #2. The burger was huge with all the great toppings and we were given so many fries with our drink. The only downfall is that they over salt their fries. I think salt should be optional for the customers! But overall it was a cute experience

  • Nels G.

I love this place. Very good old fashioned drive thru. Service has always been great and the food is what you would expect. Greasy and wonderful. Not saying I get hungover a lot but this is definitely a destination for that lol.

  • Kristi W.

Came here a few nights ago for a quick dinner for my family of four. Burgers were ok and my kids liked their chicken strips and sandwich. Fries....well let's just say majority of them were thrown away. We "upgraded" my husbands fries to onion rings and those were good. My biggest issue was the price. Holy moly.....$60 after tip for a family of four. For that should have gone to Red Robin....actually would have been cheaper.

  • John D.

Starving one night. Place said 24 hours. Nope. Doesn't matter how clean this place is false advertisement is still false advertisement.

  • Gigi G.

Good burgers for fast food. I love their shakes, especially the candy cane shakes! A little on the pricey side, but we have never had a negative experience with the servers or food here. It's close to home and works for those nights when I don't want to get out of the car with all the kids. Keeps the whole family happy.

The Burgermaster on Bothell-Everett Hwy is always a treat to cruise into, especially on a sunny day to enjoy a great burger, shakes, fries, and maybe a side of onion rings. Flip your lights on for service, enjoy the 60's music, and watch the traffic zoom by on the BE. My favorite is the Combo 1: a deluxe burger, fries, and a choc shake. Sure the fries aren't hand-cut and it may cost more than Dick's, but I don't care, we always LOVE it!

    (5)
  • George G.

Coming up here at anytime, especially on a sunny day, is always a treat for me. The place is so much more spacious than the one in the Northgate/99 area, so getting a parking spot to place your order is much easier. Just make sure your headlights are on to get the staff to come to you and take your order. On any good sunny day, it's almost guaranteed that a few shiny classic or muscle cars are parked at the lot for no other reason than for their owners to hang out and talk cars with each other in between bites. I'd always sit out on one of the benches while eating so that I can soak up the sun and look at the beautiful cars displayed and watch them get in and out of the parking lot. There are lots of burger types to choose from, from a typical ground beef to choices of chicken, turkey, or fish sandwich, if that's what you want. Shakes? They have it, too. What good drive-in doesn't? I always go for the ground beef setup. The meat tastes good and fresh in this place. Also the fries come in big portions, and do not feel much greasy at all, so it's not overwhelming. The best part of all, the service is quite fast, and they have a happy staff. They even assist you with a battery charger and give your car a jump if your battery dies (I've seen it happen to other cars), so that you'll be out on the road cruising again instead of getting stuck on the parking lot. Good drive-in hangouts are harder to find nowadays, and of all the few that are around, this is one of the better places to check out.

Great quick food and service but it was pricey! $13 with tip for a burger fries and small drink.

    (3)
  • Jessica H.

Great service and friendly staff are always awesome here. And never disappoint. I also come with my dog sometimes and they always ask if he wants water and a treat. Again awesome. Burgers, fries and shakes. Always wonderful seriously the closest thing to In n Out in Washington. Which in my book is the best compliment you can give a burger. The price is a tiny bit more then fast food crap but that's just it, it's not crap it's real beef. Don't listen to the few negative reviews on here this place won't disappoint. Also try the blackberry shake....tried it yet??? Well once you have you can thank me later. Seriously addicting.

    (5)
  • Erwin C.

Good for fast food and who doesn't love an old fashioned drive in? Service is good so there's nothing to complain about except the prices are really high. Burger meal plus fish and chips plus two shakes is $35? We'll come back but not that often and the price alone docks two stars. But i think we need more of these places in Seattle.

Crab & Swiss melt is a must try! I enjoyed their fries & shake as well. My husband said their burgers are okay.. He loved my crab & Swiss melt though. They need to have more car hop places! I love the whole idea and sonic is far.

Really tasty burger. Your own personal heart attack, but hey--it's a juicy burger. :)

The breakfast items are great and the burgers are ok. So If your looking for a fast lunch this is a good place. Its a Dennys/Burger King mix.

I haven't had Burgermaster in years... On the reader board I saw advertised BBQ chicken and Rice bowl for $5.99. It sounded good so me and my husband decided to give it a shot. I ordered what lured me in, and my husband got BBQ chicken wrap. We ordered it to go. When we got home I opened my container, to find what looked to be Spanish rice and about 5 small chunks of chicken. I tried it and sure enough, Spanish rice. EWW, who in their right mind thinks that BBQ chicken goes with Spanish rice? And to top it off, it was suppose to come with cheese, ranch dressing and lettuce. I got it plain. Still disgusting as F*!! Perhaps at a burger joint, I should've stuck with a burger!! Lesson learned, the hard way!!

Don't be fooled the hours are listed wrong. Not open 24 hours which was a let down. But still a great place to eat nonetheless.

Burgermaster is one of our favorite places to go because they have great food, service, you can dine in the comfort of your car, and you can take your dog with you!

Good food and good Service! Love the car side service but the driveway is set up poorly.

  • Britt B.

Burgermaster has the best chicken caesar wraps anywhere, really tasty burgers, and I love their fries - handcut or not - they are always hot and perfectly salted. Service is friendly and you get your order fast....AND they give my dog a biscuit. Win/win.

  • Jeff F.

    * Real beef? Well, seems more real than the other fast food joints. * Real strawberries in the strawberry shakes, hot daym. * Attentive customer service, just turn on the headlights to signal them. * Burger's aren't decked-up to the level of Red Robin, closer to the realm of Carl's Jr and 5 Guys (except with drive in service). * A bit more spendy than other fast food joints, but Burgermaster hasn't given stomach aches either. * This place is just missing Hooters girls wearing low cut shirts while on pogo sticks.

    (3)
  • J S.

Good service, great burgers, and even better shakes...but, the fries are terrible and the fish and chips suck (mainly because of the aforementioned fries, but the fish isn't great either). If these guys would start cutting their fries from fresh, and dump the frozen crap, they may just become the best burger joint in the Puget Sound area, and likely would warrant the already steep prices. Do you think they'll get the hint...no? Start making fresh cut fries!!!!! How's that? John Mill Creek, WA

Do you want to smell like onions for the rest of the day? Eat a nice, big burger at Burgermaster. I'm kind of kidding, but I often find this to be a dilemma when eating here. Their burgers are DELICIOUS, and I love onions, but they definitely put A LOT of onions on their burgers. But, lets get down to business. Burgermaster is a dine in your car, drive in style burger joint. They serve quality food, everything tastes great, only downside is they like to charge like they are a dine in, sit down restaurant! If you don't want a Burger, they also offer some alternatives, like their delicious Grilled Ham and Cheese. They also have a Grilled Sandwich with Crab that sounds pretty good, but I think it costs around $9 for the sandwich alone, so I have never ordered it. It's not that I am cheap, but when I am headed to a drive up burger place, I really don't expect to spend over $5 for my meal. I usually can't eat their normal size Burger, and end up ordering the Mini Bacon Burger meal. Once I add onion rings and a large drink, it somehow ends up costing me around $10. I do like the food, so I do end up coming here for lunch about once a month. Every time I get my bill though, I think it seems expensive. Their shakes and malts are delicious, and so are their Onion Rings. So, it is a little pricey, but the burgers are definitely quality. If you do order a mini burger, it is best to eat it there, or fairly soon after you leave as the patty is pretty thin and cools off quickly. Overall, they serve great Burgers, Shakes and Onion Rings. The only deterrent here is that for the price, you could actually just go to a real restaurant and sit down and eat. My fave: Chocolate Malt, Mini Bacon Burger, Grilled Ham and Cheese, and Onion Rings. They also have a "Tom and Jerry" flavored shake, which is basically Egg Nog-- but you can get it year round! My recommendation: Even if you like onions, you might want to ask them to go easy on them. They put an entire slice on the burger. If you are ordering a mini burger they add more onion than meat which is a little much. Service is usually pretty good, and I do enjoy the lovely flowers they plant outside!

Me and my wife have eaten here close to 50 times in the last two years. Only had an issue once or twice with the food and both times we have had our entire meals replaced no hassle. The service has always been prompt, accurate and the food is well done and served hot. Even though the servers are not always the same people it shows that the company is doing something right for its customers.

  • Eric O.

When we want a hamburger we always go to Burgermaster, in the summer we take the convertible sit in the sun and enjoy the meal.

    (4)
  • Amy N.

They have pretty good burgers and great service but that's where the good ends, the burgers are good and the servers are friendly and fast but the stuff is pretty over priced. One burger is about $7 without drinks or fries. I have only been here twice both times were good, but not the best, I had ordered two chicken breast burgers or something like that for me and a friend, one small order of fries, and two cokes but I still ended up paying $20 for the stuff, the burgers were okay but not worth the price.

    (3)
  • John V.

It's a good idea of the old style drive-in restaurant. The food was quite good. I had a chicken wrap and my sons had burgers. The staff were friendly, playful, and prompt. Only a three star because I have not sampled enough of the menu. I plan on returning.

  • Kim P.

Burgermaster??? It's been a while since I have been to one of these joints and to be honest I can't really remember how it was but I remember it was decent enough that I would come again. We were looking of a quick bite to carry us over before a dinner date we had and decided to stop here. I had been wanting some serious onion rings and YES, they delivered!! Crispy fried to perfection:) Hubby ordered the 2 piece chicken tenders and fries, which came with enough fries to feed a family of 5!!! Babygirl got the kids cheeseburger and her it was HUGE:) All in all would definately come again, but I'm not sure is there is a location anywhere near Tacoma? The shakes looked deelicious and so did the sandwich melts, I think I saw a crab and swiss melt??? :)

Stopped in for Lunch. Had the BBQ Pork Sandwich. Excellent food and service. Gotta visit here more often.

    (4)
  • Nate B.

It's a little spendy, but the retro cool of an old-fashioned drive-through is worth the visit. The food is decent and the service is nearly-uniformly friendly. Because the food is maybe just a step above competent I want to give it 3 stars, but since this is definitely somewhere I will take people coming from out of town for a change of pace from the typical buzzword-compliant Seattle dining experience, I'll give it the extra star for marching to the beat of their own drum and surviving where others have not.

  • Andrew S.

I'm a fan of Burgermaster, generally. I visited the restaurant, for the first time, about two or three days ago. I'm glad that one of my wonderful, amazing friends recommended that we stop here, for lunch. Her and I ordered each ordered ourselves (there's no sharing, with a young man) the cheeseburger, loaded, with fries, and a glass of water. The decision was not regretted, when I sunk my canines into the hot, flavor-rich patty, and the tasty, fresh bun. The toppings were a nice touch, and completed the burger. The fries were adequately, and appropriately salted, and counted as a daily serving of vegetables. Dr. Paul would be proud of his healthy-eating patient. (Yeah, I know, I don't think it'll fly.) The service was prompt, and the price was fair. I'd recommend it, and will stop here again, if in the neighborhood.

  • Crystal G.

Having this place right up the street is uber dangerous. Good food and super quick service makes this the ideal stop when ready to nosh on burgers and fries...onion rings are the best. I've also been known to pop in for a quick shake...I don't know why people bother getting shakes at Dairy Queen with this gem is right up the street.

    (4)
  • Neda G.

Never knew Burger Master existed until I moved to Washington 3 years ago and a Burger Master happened to be right across the street. They are always quick and friendly and the first time I went there, I forgot to ask for no pickles and tomatoes... They were quick to take my order back and fix it, even though it was my fault. Occasionally I stop by just for a quick milk shake and burger, they are right down the street and never take more than a few minutes to get me my food!

  • Summer E.

Drive in, dine in your car. How often do you see that anymore? Friendly service. DELICIOUS burgers, fries, and shakes.

    (4)
  • Amy L.

Dare I say the mini bacon cheeseburger rivals In-N-Out burger? I think it's pretty close. The patty is a thin beef patty like Dick's but the toppings are much better. If you order the mini bacon burger it comes with american cheese, tomato, onion, pickles, lettuce, and "special sauce." Their bacon is much better than your typical fast food bacon, decently thick. The veggie toppings were fresh and tasty. This is basically a step up the quality ladder from Dick's (though I'm not knocking Dick's, it's just different.) The fries are nothing to talk about, standard fast food fries. I would probably skip the fries if it weren't for the fact that they serve tartar sauce with them. The service was fast, the server was friendly. If you haven't been to a Burgermaster before they have car side service. You pull up and turn your lights on for service, they bring your food out to your car on one of those old timey trays that clips on to your window. If you need anything else or you're ready for your bill you turn your lights back on for service. If they were closer I'd go here more often, if nothing else than for a "turkey master" which I've been meaning to get for a few years now but I'm always swayed by the mini bacon burger.

  • Patrick W.

It's quick, it's good. It is too convenient. If I am lazy and craving a decent burger, I end up here. Although for the same price I could actually sit at a table, and have someone pay attention to me. Shakes and Malts are excellent. Fries average. Onion Rings average. Burgers good, simple bu good, I am a sucker for the Burger Melt. The Fish and Chips are just right. According to the vegetarian in the house hold, the veggie burgers are pretty tasty.

    (4)
  • Andrew G.

Very quick and friendly service. The employees are there the second you turn on those lights! Food is just average in my opinion. The meat patties could be a little thicker, since they pride themselves on their beef being locally grown, antibiotic-free, hormone-free, and grass fed. I'm pretty much thinking about a super cow on my buns and we get a small patty. However, because the patty is thin, it cooks through evenly and perfectly every time. On the other hand, if you are a peanut butter fan, or a fan of any shakes for that matter, make well sure you get one, but bring a spoon or ask for one, since a straw does not do the shake justice!

    (4)
  • Shane M.

So the place is cute. The servers are cute. The beef they serve is a higher quality than you get elsewhere. No hormones or antibiotics, apparently farmed locally. They have options for the GF, the pescatarian and vegetarian. That is the good news. The bad news is that the place costs as much as Red Robin maybe. On our second visit, service was pretty slow again. The food was just okay and none of us like their French fries. You have to pay for extra ketchup and tartar as though you were at Dicks - but you are already paying twice the price. Their shakes are about mediocre. I'm going to skip this place going forward.

    (3)
  • Hamilton O.

Great staff and quick service. The flavour was a bit disappointing, tho. I had the double burger melt, two patties with ketchup and mustard and cheese. Kinda blant. But frankly I need to try more of what they offer

Saturday lunch: Gotta love old style drive ins. It was a while before we were served. Cheerful service and a free doggie treat made up for it. Hormone antibiotic free beef is a plus. The mushroom burger pattie needed a little salt. We didn't get any ketchup to start and we were charged 20c for extra ketchup (as stated on the menu). Liked the toasted bun and their fries were ok. Prefer steak fries. Was asked if I wanted grilled onions and of course I said! A little greasy. Strawberry shake was thick. Lots of sucking action needed. A challenge getting some of the strawberry jam through the straw. Ask for a spoon (unless they charge)! All in all I am indifferent.

Sometimes service is good sometimes it is horrible. On September 16th it was very bad. All the waiters stood around talking with each other. We were literally ignored. The first few visits were good but we won't be back this time.

As someone from the south, I can't say I've ever seen mayonnaise and bbq (pulled pork) together, but they had it on the menu at burger master. I live the drive-in aspect of this fast food place. The service was more than adequate. I got a veggie burger and it was okay, but it didn't really stand out. And for $8 including tip, I could get a gourmet veggie burger elsewhere. I guess it's convenient if I need something filling, quick, but I don't think I'll ever go out of my way to come here.

In our search to look for decent burgers near by, my bf and I finally stopped by Burgermaster, and I was actually pleasantly surprised by it. The burger itself was actually pretty good. The beef is grass-fed and hormone free, and honestly, you can taste the quality difference in the patty. We got both onion rings and fries, and while the onion rings were nice and crunchy, the fries were just bland...even ketchup couldn't lift the spirit of those fries. Service was quick and friendly! The second you turned your headlights on, someone would immediately come to assist. The only downside is the price; for 2 meals (2 burgers, fries, onion rings, soda and shake), it cost us right above 30 bucks before tip. For that cost, I could go to a nice sit down burger joint, get a fancy burger meal, and full service. Overall, decent burger place. I wouldn't go around telling people to rush over and eat here, but I definitely wouldn't knock it.

Nothing special at all... Meat was super thin, burger was below average, fries were ok. Not worth the money.

This location has great staff who are always accurate on the order and friendly. They attend to your car quickly and show effort for fast service. The food quality is fast food but in more of a healthy comparison from other competition. It is not be best burger but a very good fast food burger.

I'm not a fast food person. I don't eat a lot of low quality food. Everyone was raving about this place and the reviews were good so I checked it out. OMG!!! do people know what good food is anymore? I mean there is a TON of burger options which I might add almost everyone of them is better than this place. Blazin, Five Guys, Red Robin. Just to name a few that are WAY better and better in quality. I thought I'd give them another chance so I went back to get something different so I tried the Fish & Chips and it was even worse than my first visit. Come on people this is not rocket science. There is much better food out there and even fast if you need it. The food is way below sub-par. I won't even eat at Sonic but they are even better than this place which is saying a lot. I'm really surprised there are more Sonic's around Seattle. At least Sonic as great shakes and drinks. This place couldn't even get my shake right. I ordered a chocolate shake and you could tell they had just poured a ton of heresy suryp in a vanilla and barely mixed it. One of the worst shakes I've ever had. Anyways, hate to give any place 1 star but have to send up a flare because all the reviews on here have to be fake or extremely mis-guided. I would beg anyone that would give this place more than 2 starts to please please go try other places and you will be amazed at how good even an average burger can taste :) For the best fish and chips, so far that I've found is in Mill Creek at Tapas. Hope this helps Also Note: Most of the reviews that have 4-5 stars are from people that rarely are on Yelp, many have less than 10 reviews total. Just found that interesting as I was trying to make sense of the star rating on here. Very mis-leading.

This car hop burger joint has yummy shakes, tasty burgers, crisp and fresh fish and great apple pie! Burgermaster is in the old fashioned drive up style for cars to park and order off the menu board nearest their parking spot after they turn on their headlights to indicate to the car hop they're ready to order. The car hop will almost always pop out and check on you before you've turned your headlights on anyway if it's daytime as they don't want any customers waiting around for service. They have burgers, sandwiches like a ham and cheese and crab and cheese, fish and chips, salads, and your choice of fries or onion rings. They also have apple pie which you can have hot or cold, a la mode or not, or with caramel or cinnamon sauce. Other desserts are available too. The burgers are greasy, messy, delicious things. I've had the burgermaster, which is a double with cheese. Also the regular cheeseburger and the mushroom swiss. They don't skimp on the fish portions. You get a good portion of fish and they are good quality. They have a nice selection of shake flavors to choose from, and they range from root beer to peanut butter to pumpkin along with the standards such as chocolate. My only complaint is that the fries are the frozen shoestring kind. Usually I am hardly halfway through the fries before they are rock hard and cold. Car hops are always fast, friendly, informative, and happy to answer questions. They know the menu and they have been well trained. You can eat in the car or take it to go! There isn't an indoors dining area. The parking lot is clean with no trash anywhere and they have flowers planted in the warm months. I love this little place and will be back again soon. Food: 3.5 Service: 5 Parking: 5 Ambiance: 4

I am extremely picky when it comes to burger joints. After spending nearly a decade within driving distance of 5 In 'N Out burger stops in AZ, the bar was set pretty high when it comes to grabbing a fast and tasty burger. This was my first visit to this location and immediately upon entry to the lot on a Saturday at about 11:30 I was impressed. Impeccably clean inside and out set the tone. Excellent service and great food topped it all off. Seriously, the place was REALLY clean. Everything from the grounds to the windows to the kitchen. I LOVE that. COOL TIPS: Grass-fed, hormone-free local beef - yes please! This place also offers gluten-free buns and sweet potato fries! You just have to ask! A tad high on price which is what prevented me from 5 stars.

This place was right down the road from our old place and to say we were regulars could be an understatement. The staff is always friendly. The food is fresh and made to order. The shakes are creamy and thick.

Interesting venue that so reminds me of the 60s with the drive-inn atmosphere. Miss the skating wait staff though. The food is excellent, prepared fresh and steaming hot. Quick service, priceworthy, this was a visit to our past. I noted that every parking place was full, but the staff was on their toes. If you are in a hurry but want some comfort food, and quickly, this place will serve your needs and get you back on the road.

Oh dear Lord, I am one happy girl. Burgermaster has introduced gluten free buns to their menu!!! And GOOD gluten free buns, too! I already loved that they serve grass fed beef - this has them off the chain in my book. Now if only they had gluten free onion rings...

If yer gettin' ready to roll up and place your order. Be sure to have your wallet stuffed with cash. A kids chicken piece meal is $7.89 - that's right, for kiddos. Wanna know what the toy is? A little roll of Smarties....big woop. Most burgers are about $7, this does not include fries, or a drink... Also, would you like ketchup or tartar sauce with your meal? You'll have to shell out 15 cents per. And if you get a salad...the dressing that comes with your salad is soooo teeny...I'll bet you could get more salad dressing for 15 cents per. LOL! Oh, and how is the food? The fries taste like they are cooked from frozen, and they forgot to put bacon on my burger. Don't waste your time, or money. We've been twice, and gawked at the prices both times! If you're in the mood for a good burger and french fry... I suggest Shake n' Go, Fat Burger, or Five Guys.

i'm so sad. i spent $14 on a grilled chicken sandwich, chicken caesar salad, and a whole lotta salt. the sandwich was way overpriced for what you get. a meager amount of shredded lettuce with tomato slices (yes, at least they gave 2), and a piece of grilled chicken that was waaaay over-seasoned. good thing i asked for light mayo because i'm sure i would've been too disgusted to eat it, even though i paid $6. the chicken caesar salad came in the costco-sized plastic containers they put their caesar salads in but the amount was not comparable. oh and same over-seasoned, salty grilled chicken. i felt my liver was shriveling up as i ate this meal. i'm sorry body. i'll treat u better next time. 5 stars for quick, friendly, efficient service that i may never receive again..

This place use to be a lot better... The drive up service is nice, the staff has always been friendly but the prices are ridiculous for how much food they give you. With more competition building around Mill Creek they should consider changing their pricing or beefing up their menu a little. The crab melt is pretty good... and the shakes/malts are... I guess, satisfying. Besides that everything else is A-OK. I wouldn't order their grilled chicken sandwich again... WAY over priced for a tiny chicken breast and tomato. It just isn't what it use to be. If I am going to waste calories on a burger, ill go down the street to Blazing Onion. P.S. Whats up with their website? ***Update: They updated their website! No more stone-age website! However, I did notice they no longer have fish & chips listed? Odd.**

We have a strict "no fast food rule" at my house. Burgermaster is fast, but does not fall into our fast food category as the food is all readily identifiable. Real meat, the cheese is just ok, but everything else is always fresh. My super-picky man will even find the tomatoes up to his level of acceptability on occasion--we struggle with this at even the grocery store, there must only be a 3 hour window of perfect ripeness for eating. Burgermaster and Dicks. The only two places we'll go and they can't be compared. I prefer the shakes at Burgermaster, but shhh!, don't tell anyone in my family.

Man, I love me some Burgermaster. Open late - check. Drive-in style (where they come to you and you dine in your car) - check Easy-to-read menu at all parking stalls - check Super friendly service - check No hormones in the beef - CHECK Okay, okay, so the cheese on the burgers is less than stellar, but everything else is so fresh and tastes so good that I don't much care. It's not Kraft singles. I avoid the fries - I know better. I DO get a Tom and Jerry shake, because it's egg nog and it's served all year 'round, so in the dead of July, when TV is hounding you with those "Christmas in July" commercials and you're suddenly overcome with a craving for some egg nog...you've got a place to go. Burgermaster has your back, my friends.

We really like Burgermaster. The employees are friendly and the food comes out quick. The burgers aren't really thick (like Teddy's Bigger Burger in Woodinville), but, they ARE good and we love the onion rings. I don't know if they make them from scratch, but, they are really yummy! My hubby loves the fries, but, I think they are average. (And, I love fries.) I recently tried the fish & chips and they are great! The batter isn't real thick and clumpy like some. It's a nice, thin batter so that you can actually tell there's fish inside! The shake is so-so, in my opinion. Hubby likes them better than I do. One thing I do is bring plates from home. SO much easier than balancing all the food on our laps.

Tried the burgermaster and the baconmaster. They were just "ok". For the price I'd rather go to blazing onion down the street. I'll be back to try their shakes though.

Burgermaster, I don't know how to tell you, but I've been cheating on you; Going to Teddys and Blazing Onion for those ground chuck burgers. But you got me - I came back - for more of that locally grown, hormone free beef you pack on your Baconmaster Xtra. Well, that and you are the only place open till 11pm on Friday night in Bothell besides the cheappie places who serve up their mystery meat 24 hours a day.

Yes, I will admit it. I love a big greasy burger from time to time. I think it stems from when my dad used to bribe me with food when they had to take me to the doctor when I was just a wee un. This place makes big sloppy burgers that make small animals camp out at your feet so they can eat the leavin's. I was disappointed with the shakes though. It tasted like vanilla with a few chunks of fruit in it. Ah, to have hardened arteries. I guess I gotta eat these while I'm still young.

We are fans. The kids especially like the novelty of eating in the car. Their burgers and fries are good, with plentiful portions. Service is pretty much always prompt and friendly. My only criticism is that I wish they offered fruit as a substitution for fries for the kids meals.

Why go to Mickey D's or Jack in the Box when you can eat here! I love the burgers just as much as I do at Dick's however I think that hey hands down have the best shakes (with variety of flavors) and the best onion rings around town!

Burgermaster lives up to its name for sure, i used to work at a window company right down the street from here and whenever i wasn't bringing lunch or going to DQ i was eating here for sure. love this spot and will never forget how good burgers joints are because of this place! YUM!

With Red Robin just down at Thrasher's Corner now, I don't see any reason to ever go back to Burgermaster, they are at best average, and probably below that. If they put half the work into their food as they do their landscaping I would visit more often, thin fried patties on squished buns with special sauce don't cut it for me. The only reason I have gone back after the first blush of curiosity is I can walk there and sometimes I just don't want to sit in traffic and go get a better tasting burger at Burger King I might try the fish and chips though, since Bob G. gave them 5 stars.

If you're bored with the usual fast-food burger, whip your car into here. You can also get orders to go, which typically get served out faster than the ones staying to dine. I usually get the Burgermaster w/cheese, fries, and tartar for the fries. The burger is sloppy, filling, and tasty, the fries are not mushy - crispy on the outside and very potato-ey, and the tartar sauce - if you choose to order some for the fries - will not disappoint. It's more a dill-based tartar than a sweet one. It's oniony also. Not sure if they use real crab anymore - only because I haven't had one of their grilled crab & cheese sandwiches lately - but if they still do - this is an excellent alternative to a burger. Kinda sloppy and they don't skimp on the crab. It's a stick-to-your-ribs sandwich. Not sure what they put into it, but if they do put mayo in their crab mixture, there's not too much of it. You can taste that's it's a crab sandwich; not "mystery seafood mix." It's a good grilled sandwich also, in that it's just a bit crispy on the outside, not too dry, not too greasy. A great place to go if you are tired of the typical fast-food burgers. Service is pretty quick too, whether you dine there or get it to go.

Thank you Burgermaster for being the only place in Bothell open at 10:30 on a Saturday night. Come on Bothell, what's up with that!?! Lucky for us Burgermaster was the bomb. My honey and I are not Seattle natives and this was our first Burgermaster experience. How cool is it that you don't have to get out of your car; and a real person comes to take your order and deliver your food? We got our food to go and it was nice to have a few minutes to look at the good-sized menu. I opted for a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. I initially thought this may save me some calories, but then I decided to go with fries and shake also, so the whole calorie thing was meaningless at that point. The pork sandwich was perfection; the pork was tender and juicy, and the light layer of mayo and lettuce on the bottom was a delicious change in pace to this typically naked except for BBQ sauce type of sandwich. I couldn't decide to go with a shake or not. I had been eyeing up the pumpkin flavor, but was afraid it would be made with some kind of neon orange artificially pumpkin flavored corn syrup. It was not. It was made with hand-dipped ice cream and was not overly sweet. It was also definitely made with pumpkin and pumpkin pie flavoring. The honey's burger had lots of pickles and was really tasty. The burger rolls used are soft and sesame seed-less. One thing I definitely appreciated about this sandwich was the fact the burgers are made with hormone and antibiotic, grass fed beef. The burgers are "old fashioned" so the patty is a thinner, fast food type. As for the side dish items; the french fries tasted very similar to McDonald's. I would have liked a thicker fry, but they were good. They were amazing once dipped in the tarter sauce, which is savory and oniony tasting. I must deem this the best tarter sauce ever! The onion rings were to die for. They were thinly sliced and panko breaded. The breading didn't fall off the onion and they were perfectly crispy. These were of course even better when dipped in the tarter sauce. I felt Burgermaster's prices are more like that of a dine in restaurant, than fast food, especially with the tipping. However, the quality of this "fast food" makes it worth it. It's almost like an anti-fast food, as it's fast food with high quality ingredients. The exterior and drive in area was immaculate, and has a clean and new, yet vintage feel to it. For $18 we got a good bit of food: a deluxe burger, a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, two orders of fries, onion rings, and two milk shakes. We left a $3 tip and so the final bill came to $21; not bad, not bad at all. I think I'm really digging Burgermaster! Oh and sorry for no pics, I guess I forgot to take them while i was inhaling all my delish food.

I agree w/Larry B., the landscaping is better than their burgers. The burger was flat and tasteless. The bun was stale and the fries were okay and cold. What a disappointment. I really liked the drive-in concept - I was around when it came out originally years ago. Some reviews say the fish & chips are good - I'm willing to give it a try. Sure hope it lives up to the reviews. In 'n Out, pleazze open some franchises out here!

I'm embarrassed to say it, but I'm a Burgermaster-aholic. I'd go there all the time if I could. But the calorie counter is back on. Great burgers. Fast. Eat in your car but make sure you turn your lights off after you order. Order the mini burger - less calories and less fat.

DINE IN YOUR CAR! Damn good burgers. Damn good onion rings. Damn good shakes. And you get to dine in your car.

  • Megan M.

Don't believe the hype. This is an overpriced fast food joint where the food isn't that fast and you have to tip a server. I had a regular hamburger with tomato and pickle. The overly sugary sauce overpowered the thin meat patty (that resembled McDonald's in appearance, but tasted closer to Jack in the Box). I tasted my son's plain burger so I could find out what the meat tasted like before I wrote my review. I thought we would be able to share an order of onion rings, but there is only enough for one person. Good thing hubby decided against them after only one saying they were reminiscent of Burger King. Hubby decided his Burger Melt tasted exactly like an Ultimate Cheeseburger from Jack in the Box. For the price, I thought we would be getting thick juicy burgers (the server couldn't tell us how many ounces the patties were when asked); turned out, I was wrong. We won't be making the mistake of going back. Next time, I will either spend a little more at a restaurant or stop for fast food.

I love Burgermaster! I like to frequent local places and this is a great one to frequent. First, there are so few of this type left, drive-in style. Second, the quality of their food is awesome! Get the fish sandwich and you'll never go back to burgers. A little pricey but worth the extra dough! The fries are just so-so, I often times skip them.

    (5)
  • J H.

this place is tasty, but I can eat a hot dog in my car if I really wanted to. It is a little pricey for a fast food type of burger. It's much better than your typical fast food burger, but you get the idea. Shakes and onion rings are pretty good too. It's worth checking out, but if I was going to eat here in the future, I'd probably eat it once I got home.
