Pho 99 Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We tripped on this place (saw it out of the corner of my eye waiting for the light to change) and were pleasantly surprised. The chicken noodle was delicious - broth was yummy with LOTS of chicken and noodles. The beef noodle was second, but still good. We tried the springroll sampler, they were good and I really liked the peanut sauce. It was a little different from what I'm used to. It's quiet and the service staff seems to be college students (let's just say, early in their careers, so be patient). I would definitely come back again next time I'm in Bellingham.

Pho 99 is OK. In a pinch I'll snag a bowl of pho there, nothing I would crave but a solid meal indeed.

Very quick service and good ingredients from this restaurant. Great on a cold Bellingham day. Also works well for take out and eating on campus during a late night project.

We LOVE Pho! Bellingham has a few places to choose from but unfortunately most are north Bellingham near the guide. Now when I am getting a craving for Pho, driving all the way out to the end of the Guide is worth it, or on Bakerview. But, once a few friends tried out 99 and said it was worth the try, I was on it. The staff here is friendly, there's never a wait when we've come, and the Pho is on par with it's competition. However, our biggest complaint is the atmopshere. I like to eat dinner with dimmer lights, not bright ones like they have. It doesn't offer a lot of privacy, its just one big dining room with a lot of tables. Yes, it's a bit older but honestly I'd eat dinner here all the time if they created a more relaxing ambiance. Another thing that may bother you is when they start to get busy at night, their host desk is in the dining room so the phone is this obnoxious loud ring tone that doesn't get picked up by an answering machine. Sometimes when the staff is busy, it doesn't get picked up and just rings off the hook. Usually we just eat lunch here or take it to go, so aside from the cons about the atmosphere, their Pho is GREAT and prices are good!

My favorite pho restaurant, great service and great pho.

I drive from Anacortes just to get Pho here. Its the best

Pho 99's broth (Bo or ga) is comparable to humanity landing on the moon for the first time. Some people don't believe it's real because it's too good to be true. Is it. Yes. It is true.

  • Nikki D.

By far one of the better pho/Vietnamese restaurant in Bellingham. It is my "go to" when I'm craving Vietnamese food. Definitely doesn't compare to what I can get in Seattle or Portland though. Quick and friendly service.

After spending a bit of time on the top of Mt. Baker. we needed something to warm our bellies. Pho popped into my mind so we used our trusty little app to see if Bellingham had any places to satiate our craving. They did! Pho 99 wasn't too crowded, but we were definitely on the later side of the lunch crowd. We were seated quickly in the wide open space and began to check out the menu. Props to Pho99 for organizing their menu for everyone from the Pho novice to the Experienced Experimenter. I went for the #9 with eye round steak, well done flank and fatty brisket. After adding my rainbow of fish sauce & sriracha, I was ready to dive in. The bowl was loaded with meat and oodles of noodles. The large was more than filling and I was a happy girl. FYI: They also offer a punch card for frequent visitors.

Decent prices, good food, and fast service! Would highly recommend going here for pho if you're in Bellingham!

Much improved Service. Still the best Pho in town!

  • Kayla W.

Twas the first place I ever had pho and I loved it. Broth has the perfect seasonings compared to other places. They give big portions. And the price is right. They give out punch cards for a free meal so that's a plus too.

The customer service is horrible here!! There were only two ladies working while there was a busy crowd of people coming in for lunch. We got seated way later even though they saw us. They made eye contact and ignored us whenever we tried to ask for something. The pho is decent, however, I have tasted way better. The rice dish that I ordered was 80% rice and 20% meat. I basically was eating plain rice with fish sauce after finishing my meat.

Good pho and great vermicelli noodles. Was in town dor business and looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. This was a gem...will definitely return. Parking can be tough though at lunchtime cause parking lot is rather small. Good sign of the good food though.

This was my first time ever eating Pho and I'll tell you that I enjoyed it! The service was quick and the prices were cheap. What I really enjoyed was the woman who served me. She was really nice and funny and super enthusiastic that this was my first time eating Pho. The food came pretty quickly and it was really good. I'm vegan and from what I've head in the past its hard to find vegan Pho, so them having a vegan option was great for me. This place gets a 4 star because of the actual interior. Maybe a fresh coat of pain and some more lighting would make a place a little better. Also the tables and chairs were placed kind of awkwardly and that should really be fixed.

  • Marilyn R.

This place is awesome...if you haven't tried it yet...what are you waiting for? The pho is off the chain delicious...the egg rolls are awesome...service is good...and pricing is fair especially for the amount of food you get. If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault LOL. Give it a try...definitely one of the better pho places I've tried (and I love me some pho!!)

Oh yum. I recently got a cold and had a hankering for a nice hot, spicy bowl of Pho, so off to Pho 99 we went. The veggie bowl is great and they don't skimp on the portions. Their large bowl I can't even finish, and I'm not one to leave food on my plate. Low price points- less than $8 for a large. Comes with complimentary tea. Service can be hit or miss (first time was fantastic, second time felt a bit rushed after coming in around 8:30- they start cleaning the tables and I felt sort of rushed to leave). They also break down the menu by beginner/regular/adventurer so if you or someone in your party isn't down for beef tripe, have no fear- Pho 99's got your back.

  • Katy F.

Ask anyone and they'll tell you Pho 99 is the place to be. Their rice plates and vermicelli bowls are also delicious if you're not in the mood for pho. But then again... Who isn't in the mood for pho?! This place is usually packed with to go orders going out as well. Just be patient! Service is alright. They're pretty accommodating and attentive.

Different than pho places in California, but good pho all around. Lots of options, great for rainy days

  • Heidi M.

Pho 99 rocks!! They have the most delicious pho broth. My son lives in Bellingham and every time I visit, we go here for lunch! TheIr prices are great, the food is delicious. Very clean establishment. Fresh veggies and friendly service. Lots of parking.

  • Parisa T.

This is my favorite pho place I have ever been to including all of the many pho places I would frequent back in California. I always order the vegetarian bowl of soup and douse it with sriracha and hoisin sauce. There are so many fresh vegetables and the noodles are perfectly done. It can cure any ailment in my book. Also the lady who owns/serves the pho is the sweetest and I enjoy seeing her everytime I go for my pho fix.

Best Pho and service by far around Bellingham Attentive and simple, yet perfectly balanced broth. The restaurant could use a remodel but we would all pay more for the experience. They are also very, very accommodating with custom requests. They also have excellent bowl and entree options. I highly recommend this place if you have never been there or have tried authentic Vietnamese food. Must try if you want to expand your world palate. UGo Pho99!

I love this place. Always great food and service and you can't beat the price. Fantastic!

  • Jeff M.

Pho 99 is awesome! Great service (seriously, these folks "get it"). Quick and thorough service allowed the staff to quickly turn tables on a busy Friday night and get us a table in less than 10 minutes, when the restaurant was packed. Pho is about the broth (if you ask me). Pho 99 broth is really, really good. Before you take your first sip, inhale it's rich and spicy aroma. Cinnamon and cloves. Nice! 3 of us had Pho for dinner, nothing special, nothing too out of the ordinary, just Pho with beef in various forms. Once the broth was in place and good, the rest just fell into place. The Pho came fast and we devoured it quickly, too! Give Pho 99 a try if you're interested in some good Pho and quick service.

  • Terri C.

My fave place for Pho! Minimal decor, straightforward and delish food. I like to do the vegetable pho with chicken broth, so good. Pile on the bean sprouts, Thai basil with a squeeze of lime, heaven in a steaming bowl! Inexpensive and filling. So good and huge portions, so you'll have some for lunch the next day!

  • Hannah T.

Grew up on Pho 99 and go there at least once weekly when I am home in Bellingham. One of the more authentic Vietnamese places you can go to in Bellingham. My favorite is the bun bo hue, and I always ask for extra veggies and garnish. The rest of the menu is also solid, with rice plates, noodle salad bowls, and of course, a variety of noodle soups. The fresh squeezed iced lemonade soda is a hidden gem that many do not go for. I also recommend the Vietnamese drip coffee and the Viet desserts. You're in for a treat!

    (5)
  • Hoi D.

I'll just start off by saying: Pho is all about the flavor of the broth. Pho 99 does a fantastic job of a flavorful and hearty soup. The customer service is quick and friendly. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Be warned, on rainy days, Pho 99 gets crowded. Also, pho is a great hangover cure and rumbly stomachs. Now, my only criticism is that the restaurant looks a little run-down. They could definitely repaint the interior and fix up some part of the restaurant (that looks like it hasn't been looked at for a while). However, that SHOULD NOT impede on whether or not you should visit. The food is delicious. Pho and vermicelli noodle bowls alike!

    (4)
  • Adam L.

A great go-to for pho and vermicelli. I'd recommend going later in the day when the broth has been cooking for longer. Pricier than pho in Seattle, but below average price for Bellingham. Fantastic egg rolls. My favorites are the pho with regular steak and fatty brisket (cut thinner here which makes the fat is easier to chew, one reason it stands out among pho), and any of the vermicelli bowls, which have better noodles than any other vietnamese place in bham. The greens in the vermicelli bowl could stand to be a little fresher sometimes. In any case, the food is great, the service is great, and its hard to beat coming here on a cold, rainy day and getting a massive bowl of pho.

  • E J.

Average pho. Nothing stand outish. They use MSG. Verbal confirmation from an employee. Not that that stopped me, just sayin. If you don't want MSG in your pho, try La La Eatery on James St. But you'll pay a few extra dollars for it there. It took awhile for the pho to arrive. I'm used to lightening fast response times at these sorts of restaurants but this one was much slower. This pho was typical good value as a Viet restaurant should be, unlike these other Viet restaurants in this town which charge you the Bellingham tax

  • Scarlett M.

Since I have moved to Bellingham from Seattle, I have been searching for a pho place that is as good and affordable as Than Brothers (man, do I miss those cream puffs!) Pho 99 might be close. The basic pho is pretty tasty and affordable, however I have noticed that in Bellingham pho places tend to serve lemons with pho instead of limes, which I just can't abide. Next time, I will bring my own lime, but I still think that Pho 99 will be my future go-to pho place. Note for Disabled: Reasonably accessible, has its own parking lot.

    (4)
  • Lara C.

Best pho in town, you get a big bowl for eight bucks and it's the best soup you'll ever have. I went here when I was sick and it really helped clear me up. I love getting the vegetarian with chicken broth added because I love veggies and the staff accommodates this for me, this good service and yummy soup has made me a loyal customer for 15years!

  • Sarah F.

Classic pho... nom nom nom Pros? -Friendly quick service -Good fresh rolls and egg rolls -Nummy peanut sauce -Great prices -Open at 10 some days Cons? -Gets BUSY -As a broth fiend, I must say the broth here isn't anything special

  • Teo C.

Disappointed with Soy House since they moved downtown? Pho 99's got you covered. It's pretty much perfect, actually. Though they have a pretty wide selection of items on their menu, their pho continues to be the best hangover cure in town. The waits are short (if any), the food fresh, and their serving staff is really friendly. If this place had beer on tap, it would pretty much be the Promised Land.

    (5)
  • Drew F.

My first Pho experience. Pho has been the rave lately and I never understood why. My first attempt with no sauce added or anything in my regular chicken pho, my first reaction was "this is what everyone keeps talking about?" Then I added soy sauce "a lot of it" and it made the entire meal a thousand times better. The interior is pretty basic, just a casual college kid hangout it seems like. But I would go again and and definitely keep trying new things.

  • Terri A.

Amazing service and beautiful food. Pho broth so delicious I wanted to bathe in it! Meatballs were a bit tough and texturally not my thing but other than that, was spot on best Pho in town!! Many thanks to the staff for giving me extra punches on my card in appreciation for my son (who accompanied me) currently serving in the Airforce. Classy!!

    (4)
  • Christina K.

Pho was delicious & the fresh spring rolls were ok, I've had better. Prices are decent. The place was small and we felt so cramped. Service was horrendous!!! The reason why we will never go back. The hubby & I are good tippers, this was the first time we stiffed someone. The food may be good but if the service is terrible, the food tastes terrible.

    (1)
  • Dylan V.

Pho 99 is a solid establishment! Expect to go in there with a friend or 10 and feel completely in your own world (everyone's there for some huge bowls of noodle) Service is fast, portions are huge, the food is satisfying. Make it hot. Make sure to get a punchcard, you'll earn that free bowl pretty quickly.

Best pho in bellingham, wish the restaurant was nicely decorated it's very old and run down looking! But the food is awesome

    (4)
  • Nora V.

Wow this place is AMAZING!!!!! The broth of the pho is nice and hot. They do a perfect job of cooking the broth and keeping it hot until it is brought to you. It is perfect for a rainy cold day. The waitress is extremely nice and friendly. The food is served fast and if it is not, it's worth the wait because the pho is to die for.

This business is the fastest, most consistent, tried and true pho restaurant in Bellingham. Service is very quick, always. Broth is piping hot, always. Taste is consistent and good. Not excellent, but always good. Two years of life in Seattle turned me into a pho snob and there isn't a single pho place in Bellingham that can hold a candle to Seattle pho restaurants. But Pho 99 still remembers my boyfriend and I, and they always treat us well. The staff here is SO friendly, a rarity among Bham pho places. They have excellent chili oil and chili paste. THEY SERVE REAL TEA, thank goodness. Soy House is such a joke to me... They charge for tea and all they have is measly tea bags. Plus they never serve the broth hot enough. Pho 99 isn't mind-blowing pho but it is always served well, always nice, and always a good deal. I spend a lot of time here and I have no complaints. Thanks for the fabulous service, Nina! :)

I've been to many places Vietnamese restaurants and this place is pretty good but does not compare favorably. I ordered the Pork Chops with Rice. Portion was smaller than I expected; taste was decent. Price was reasonable. It's relatively loud (small-ish room) with families and children throughout, so be aware of that. Location is ideal for many students living south of WWU campus and is also right off the interstate. Staff was friendly, nothing too remarkable.

  • D K.

This is my favorite Pho place in Bellingham. My wife and I also get vegetarian Pho, but what separates Pho 99 from the others is the quality of ingredients: your bowl is full of tofu, broccoli, carrots, onion, and cabbage. Plus you get the usual fixings of lime, bean sprouts, thai basil, and fresh jalapenos. A small fills us up (and sometimes enough for my wife to take home leftovers). What also makes us go back is that since day one, they know us and our order. We often get seated without needing to say what we want because they know (including our appetizer and drinks). The servers are really kind and helpful and make us feel like regulars even though we only go back once a month or so. The only negative is the overall state of the restaurant - they obviously didn't put a lot of effort into renovating the space when they moved in. The bathrooms are pretty gross and the place looks pretty worn out. BUT, don't let the appearance deter you from trying their wonderful food and giving them a chance to please.

Most solid pho I have ever had, always delicious, always friendly, can get busy on weekends, fast service vegetarian friendly!

    (5)
  • Lindsay E.

My friend and I have eaten here quite a bit for lunch and we always leave very satisfied. We order the vermicelli noodle bowls every time, have yet to try the pho but I can imagine it's just as tasty as everyone else seems to order that when we are there. The staff are super friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. The place is a bit small so it fills up fast. The prices are decent and your tummy will thank you, much better options than the greasy fast food chains around that area. Plus with a limited lunch time at work we can get in out and at a reasonable time.

    (5)
  • Librarianguish M.

This is definitely our favorite Pho place. We ended up here again on New Year's Day and despite being very busy we got our tasty food very quickly. The #12 is very yummy. Service is friendly too!

  • Rebecca H.

Came in on a Friday night- had amazing service for a full house. The food came out just as quick as any other restaurant on a decent night. Satisfies my weekly pho cravings

  • Shinwook P.

The pho is all right. Not too bad. Not amazing. The portions are also pretty small, which is disappointing. But they are fast, and courteous. It's always busy during dinner time because the nearest pho from WWU besides pho 99 is in like meridian street.

  • James T.

Literally my favorite Pho restaurant. I've had lots of Pho - from Seattle, LA, NYC, and none are as good as Pho 99. The Bun Bo Hue (#21) is delicious, and far surpasses any Bun Bo Hue that I have had in New York. I'm not even kidding. Stick with the round noodles (the ones it comes with by default). In my opinion, the #21 is superior to the Pho in general (#1-19), though on occasion I will get the Combination Pho (#18), with the raw steak on the side (don't wait too long to put it in to ensure it cooks thoroughly). The Sliced Grilled Pork (#63) is also freaking delicious (I recommend substituting the egg roll with a fried egg - DELICIOUS). Any vermicelli bowl is also going to be fantastic.

  • Amy Z.

Ok, I question the cleanliness of this place, but their Pho is my favorite in town. I am by no means a pho expert but I enjoy their savory broth with fresh lime, bean sprouts, basil, lean beef and noodles. I find their noodles either of better quality or prepared better than other establishments. Their BBQ pork fresh rolls I really enjoy with the Vietnamese style peanut sauce. I also really like their fried spring rolls, they are never greasy, perfectly crispy, and flavorful. The staff is always super nice and polite, the food always comes out fast and is really affordable. I finally branched out and tried one of their rice dishes, the pork chops with rice. I like the thin cut pork chop, savory and sweet with the flavors of lemongrass and charcoal from the grill, however I don't feel like they give you enough protein compared to the rice and salad that accompanies if, but did $9 or however much it is it's a good filling deal.

  • Lindsey O.

I tried pho for the first time here because I was hungover and a friend told me that it was a good hangover cure... well it seemed to do the trick for me! I got the chicken kind with extra veggies and I will be back for more. :)

    (4)
  • Anthony D.

The pho was decent. It wasn't dog shit but it wasn't great either. It took longer than expected for the good to be served and the options are quite limited. Furthermore, the staff looked at me like I was smoking crack when I asked for a Thai tea.. What the fuck is with Washington and the absence of Thai tea? Get your shit together. Watching people eat pho with a fork and spoon was fucking lolz.

    (3)
  • Lana D.

I got the seafood pho. It was good and had plenty of seafood. The service was fast and very nice. Most large pho were under $8. Good food stop when traveling up and down the coast.

    (5)
  • Robert D.

Great service and real Vietnamese pho. Wife had tripe and tendon, I had flank and the noodles were cooked to perfection ( I like them soft) Bowl sizes are a bit smaller than what we're use to so just go up a size. Bowls were packed with good side dish of bean sprouts, basil and peppers. They were out of mango smoothie but the peach was equally good.

  • Katie P.

I am a regular here. I love it. I always get my pho souper fast (haha). I'm kinda sad they replaced the limes with lemons for the soup. Any pho workers reading this? I love both fruits but the lime is best with the sriracha. I don't really care about how a place looks as long as the food is great, it's pretty cozy on a cold day. There was an older woman working there with bright make up that was really nice to my mom. If you go there enough, people recognize you and they know what you want. I've tried all the soups and they're great. If you ask them to put an egg on your rice they'll do it and it's great with that spicy sauce! The smoothies are sweet, my boyfriend prefers the strawberry one. I tried the salty plum drink but it was really gross, like sour sea water. The iced drip coffee comes with a cool dripping thing and there's sweetened condensed milk that makes it almost good enough for a coffee hater. Their meats are cooked deliciously and their vegetables are fresh. Try it out, you'll probably see me there too!

  • Joe A.

I can't tell you how much I love this place. I don't even go here for pho. I go here for the freaking BOMB spare ribs #68. They are seriously so good. I love them. Took a star off because the prices are pretty steep for what you get.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants here in Bellingham! The staff is beyond lovely, the food is delicious, and the price is just right.

We stumbled upon this place in September when we came to house hunt. The food was pretty good. It was lunch time and they were pretty busy but the food came out fairly quick that we didn't really have to wait. However because they were busy we didn't get much of a service either. We didn't mind it though. We ate our lunch and then were on our way.

So tasty and filling! I always get pho with lean beef and egg rolls.

After moving from the SF Bay Area almost a year ago (mentioned only because there are so many good pho options there) and passing this place many times in that period, I finally looked up the best pho around and decided to give this place a shot. It lived up to the positive recommendations. (I'd guess the negative reviews are from people who haven't had good pho.) I took a pho newbie and Pho 99 made a convert of him. I ordered the #4 (small) and was shocked at the amount of noodles in the bowl. I'm accustomed to about a half or maybe two-thirds of the noodles. It was very filling and I honestly shouldn't have eaten it all. The broth was very mild and perfect with the lime, Thai basil and a little chili sauce. The meat was sliced thinly, very tender and tasty... perfect for this lightly flavored dish. My date loves spicy, so he ordered the #22 (large). The meat was not easily recognizable (what was that anyway? I need to look at the menu again to know), but it was all tasty and wonderful. He had never had pho before and usually prefers the higher end restaurants, but he'll be coming back for sure. Don't go to Pho 99 for the atmosphere. It isn't as bad as some of the reviews say. It is dated, but clean - that's more important to me. It's a bit chilly inside for a December night, but once you start into your tea and pho, you will realize why they keep it cooler inside. So filling and reasonably priced, you can't beat $18 for two (dinner and a tip) on a cold December night while taking a break from Christmas shopping.

  • Deirdre M.

It's a dive, kind of dirty.... and my god I love it so. I'm new to the Pho world, but it's the perfect remedy for hangovers, cold days, and allergies. :) My only complaint is the giant open room, watching other people slurp down their dinner is pretty gross... only until you realize they are probably thinking the same thing about you.

  • Heather M.

This was my first time trying pho and I have to say, I have not had a meal this disgusting in a long time. Perhaps this just is what pho is like and does not reflect negatively on the restaurant itself but...bleh! I ordered the #2 and my mom had the #21 and neither us of could hardly get past several bites. The soup was incredibly greasy, with little grease bubbles collecting on my spoon as I Iet it sit and the broth had a horrendous fish taste and smell that I struggled to get out of my mouth and nose. And the meat in both of our dishes.....we're still not quite sure what it was, despite being listed on the menu. By taste alone, I would be hard pressed to guess. The texture of the meat was an entirely new culinary experience....maybe what biting into a rubber bouncy ball would feel like. My mom was sucking on a lime at the end of our 'meal' to cut the grease and taste in her mouth. Again, maybe this is just the nature of pho. It was just surprising to us because both of us love all other kinds of authentic Asian food.....Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai...I guess Vietnamese just doesn't make the list. But the restaurant itself was lacking with less-than-pleasant decor and slow service. And even though both our soup bowls were still full to the top by the time we asked for the check, no one took the time to ask us why we didn't eat our food and we were charged full price. Not the end of the world.....but lesson very well learned! Never touching Pho 99 with a 10-foot pole again!

I'm not a real Pho lover, but all my friends were heading here so I decided to tag along. I got chicken, shrimp, and rice. It was meh, but EVERYONE raves about this place. I tried one of my friends Pho and it was actually pretty good. If you like Pho and are in Bellingham, you've got to check this place out. The restaurant decor is definitely outdated like a lot of the reviews say, but the staff is really nice and prices are pretty decent!!

  • Warren C.

The pho was good in this place, as it's one the only pho restaurant in the area within walking distance of the main street. The service were a bit slow. We were the one ones in the restaurant, and it took them a while to take our order and to check in with us.

    (3)

Ordered seafood pho, flavorful and fresh. Easy parking, quick service. Popular place with locals. The facility could be a bit cleaner.

  • Kiana F.

I LOVE the staff here! They're so nice, friendly, and when we aren't in for a while they notice. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and it's all very affordable. This was one of my go-to places after a rough night. I love it dearly.

  • P. F.

Easily accessible from I-5. Came here because we were in town for the Bellingham Highland Games and were craving Pho. Staff is friendly and efficient. Pho was good. This is truly a pho house because they had a variety of different meats to choose from (beef round, flank steak, meatballs, chicken, etc.) The sizes come in small, medium, and large with the small one being $6.50. The small is enough for one person with an average appetite. For people like me who eat a lot, I would say going one size up. Lots of locals go here. Decor is kind of dive-y, but it was still very clean. The decor was just dated. But then again you don't go to a pho place to check out their decor. Try their coffee with condensed milk and their tapioca desserts!!

Okay I'm giving four stars for the food- just to be clear! I have tried all the Pho places in town and I think this is the best veggie Pho. The avacado smoothie, when they have it, is the best. The portions are huge. Visitors I bring here always think they want the large and then barely finish half. I recommend take-out. The decor is old. There's been a dingy, broken fountain in the foyer for years. The bathrooms creep me out. They are often out of the most basic things, such as chicken for their chicken pho! It's always packed though, so I think that speaks to the quality of the food.

The restaurant is a dingy establishment, and I would rather order take out than sit in a giant room and awkwardly splash myself with pho in front of other people. The waitstaff is nice. The Pho bowls come in "small" "large" and "extra large"?? I got the small, and it was still easily enough for two people to split. I ordered the Pho Ga, which had just as many pieces of chicken cartilage in it as actual meat. Vermicilli bowls are the bomb, but I've had better else wear. Bonus points for having a punch card! But I'm still trying to figure out what the "99" means.

First, let me say that I don't eat beef pho. I specialize in vegetarian pho. Pho 99 has the best veggie pho in Bellingham. It is inexpensive - about $6 - and it includes tofu, carrots, broccoli, onions, and of course fresh basil, sliced jalapeno, bean sprouts, and lime wedges. Veggie pho at other Vietnamese restaurants in Bellingham tend to serve it with just tofu, broth, noodles and the fresh toppings. The broth is flavorful, but not sweet, like some, and not too salty. The decor and ambiance are merely functional, but there is plenty of seating, and the restaurant is typically full of Western Wash. University students plus the occasional family. The fresh rolls are awesome, too, but I usually fill up on soup and don't have room!

Service is kind of terrible, but the pho is great on a cold Bellingham day. Plenty of food (especially if you're getting pho) and you get it fairly quickly. The downside is the typical service -- it's rather hard to get your server's attention here, whether it's for water or for something they forgot. Aside from that, this is a pretty typical place; not great, but not bad.

The pho here is ph-antastic on a cold day. Pungent and spicy broth to make your nose run while you slurp rice noodles and tender meat. This place is always full of college students; they come here like me because it's delicious and affordable. Highly recommended.

Very good pho, friendly staff, and the price is right! They even have a punch card system for repeat business.

Cheap, quick, mostly authentic--albeit maybe on the sweet and salty end of the Pho spectrum. My #1 go to Pho place in Bellingham. Nothing mind blowing, but a consistent and tasty hot bowl of soup. What more could you ask for for $7?

There's just certain things I look for when I'm sizing up a good authentic Mexican and/or Pho resturant...& that's absolutely no ambiance. You just know when you walk in...no ambiance = good food. It took me a while to actually try the authentic Pho noodle soup, but it's quite delicious and refreshing. #1 is a winner in my book! Prices are good, services is friendly & helpful, and the experience is as authentic as it can be given that we're in the US.

Even though the inside of this place feels a little sticky, the food is AWESOME! The staff are all super friendly and the Thai iced coffee is delicious! I would def recommend this as my favorite Pho place in the Ham.

Came here for some bubble tea (which isn't actually bubble tea, but a fruit smoothy with tapioca, which is fine. They never claimed it was bubble tea so I can't fault them for that). It took at least 20 minutes, they were out of big straws, and after we all ordered they came back 10 minutes later and said they were out of Taro (which my friend ordered). They say never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence, okay fair enough, I'd say this place is incompetent then. I'm returning to my native seattle for lovely bubble tea goodness.

So far (haven't tried them all) the best pho in Bellingham. Also the best selection of Vietnamese beverages. The decor will not impress, think older Chinese restaurant without much updating. Worn but clean. The chairs are comfy, the tables hold the food... Meets our needs. The staff ranges from wonderful to good. Sometimes they get busy when they don't expect it and things get a little slow... Seen far worse at pricier places. The clientele runs about 50% college students (real close to WWU). Not noisy. The non pho menu is quite good. I find it to be very consistent, never had a bad meal. It lacks the variety of some Vietnamese places. Vegetarian options available. We eat there fairly often, comfort food. Prices are good.

I was never a fan of pho until coming here. It quickly became my go to spot for a tummy warming meal on a rainy afternoon. I especially loved how one of their meals would tide me over an entire day! Having moved back to my hometown, I miss this old friend dearly. It was so nice to just call in an order and have it ready by the time I strolled over.

I must say this was my first pho experience. But I found the food to be really good, for what it is: Giant bowls of steaming noodles and thinly sliced steak accompanied by plates of sprouts, lemon and basil. Very fresh tasting. The service was great even though it was busy. I found the staff to be very friendly. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired, with an open floor packed with tables. I'd go again!

Pho99 looks a bit sketchy from the outside but once inside and seated the experience is usually a good one. The service is a bit slow and a lot of the time they forget when you order a soda, but the food is always really good and pretty inexpensive. I always order the large #2 pho and it always fills me up. If you're hungry and looking for an inexpensive, hearty meal, go to Pho99. Just don't expect to get out of there in a hurry.

I'm sure that if I enjoyed pho more I would give this a higher rating. Went here with two friends who enjoy pho. We stood around the counter for several minutes, waiting to be acknowledged, then we went and sat down as we thought we were supposed to just seat ourselves. We were reprimanded or "scolded" by the girl at the counter who had earlier ignored us, claiming that because we chose our own table she might not have seen us. Our waiter was very inattentive and only came by once to refill water, which we definitely needed. The pho was okay, but I had to add so much hot sauce and tons of sprouts to make it flavorful. For thinking that pho would be a large, cheap, filling meal I can think of dozens of places that would've been around the same price and tastier. I actually liked the meatballs better than the brisket, although my boyfriend disagreed. I wouldn't recommend this unless you are desperate for a cheap, huge bowl of noodles and broth.
