NYP Bar and Grill Bellingham Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

A few months ago, I visited the new Burlington location while one of my tires was being repaired nearby. I read other Yelp reviews claiming that the food here was not up to par with the Bellingham location. So on a week night, my friends and I ventured out to this New York Pizza. The location is kind of strange. It's not quite Fairhaven but it's on the edge of downtown. We were seated promptly at an outside table since it was a warm summer night. Upon looking at the menu, I immediately remembered how expensive everything is. A sandwich with fries is $15... The good news is that they have a great variety and I would be surprised if someone struggled to find something that sounded tasty. The burger was one of the cheaper things on the menu so I opted for that. To be honest, it was nothing special. The ingredients were fresh and high quality but the taste and cook on the burger weren't amazing. The fries were seasoned really well and I love that they're bottomless. But all in all, I wasn't really impressed with the meal. It wasn't bad, I would just look for something more exciting and unique next time I am craving a burger. I would love to come back and try the pizza however!

Ive been to NYP a number of times now, and its consistently great with very few exceptions. The wait staff are always friendly and service is almost always fast, the only time the service suffered was under the dude with the Mohawk, but the cute little Asian floor manager saved the day. The works pizza is the best, despite being a pizza joint, the burgers are really tasty. Happy hour here is a great deal, and the bartender Huy has a lot of regulars for a reason, dude knows his shit.

One would think The NEW YORK PIZZA BAR AND GRILL would at least attempt to make a New York style pizza. The crust is thin throughout, with no texture at the edge. Thin crust devotees will like this but give me a crust with more character. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. Plenty of screens and an ok beer selection. good place for a large group also.

I like this place for happy hour. Decent food but what I don't like to see is the dirty kitchen open kitchen.

Just went to NYP last night for their late-night happy hour - we hadn't been in awhile because last time we went (about a year ago) they'd changed their late night menu and prices so it wasn't such a good deal anymore. Well, the deals are back and we were very happy to enjoy one of their delicious 10" Hawaiian pizzas for $6 and some phenomenal hot wings for $5. We also shared a Boundary Bay IPA for $3 - can't beat that for a cheap date. :)

This will be my good-to place whenever I'm in the mood for burgers or pizza--thank goodness there's no milkshakes here, otherwise it'll be a 5 star, and kudos for them for being honest when I had called them about it. Seriously, their burgers are mean, thick, in a good way. Lettuce, while it tastes nothing really if you think about it, was all over the place, purposely draped over the patty, hanging way over. Ordered the mushroom swiss, and upgraded to the best sweet fries in a long time. And their happy hour deals are insane too: you get to choose from their $3, $4, etc. secdtions, drinks on top, then food listed at the bottom. Ordered their awesome seafood clam chowder which actually had a bit of a kick to it, and nicely garnished w/ lots of bits. Then the bbq chicken 10" pizza, dough nicely made w/ some air pockets, fresh, and not overly done w/ the sauce and again garnished nicely w/ cilantro, though if i'm going to be picky here, wished they sprinkled a bit more. It's a great sports bar with lots and lots of 32" TVs (from my guess), wished there was a big a$$ center piece. Decor wise, it wasn't as fancy as nice as it could be considering the outside, though I was sitting on the left side versus the right side for the restaurant. For a friday nite 9pm, it could've been more rocking. Racher's a great server ;), prompt w/ everything. Liked their logo'd takeout boxes. Own parking lots as well as street parking.

Typical chain. Pros? Good happy hour Service is usually on it $6 personal 10inch pizzas during the month of July Cons? Regular menu overpriced Service varies

This is probably favorite place to go for some late night food/drinks and talks with my buddies. It's a chill atmosphere, quiet, and relaxing. I first came here on my 21st birthday and had my first ever drink here. The servers I've had have all been super nice and easy going. My favorite are Bianca and Loren. The drinks and the food (especially during the happy hour) are reasonably priced! Get their bottomless fries. I don't know what they do to them, but it's the best restaurant fries I've ever had. I've only been to the restaurant side once, but their burger was delicious. A bit on the pricey side, but they have a unique menu.

My husband and I frequent NYP at least twice a week, typically for lunch or happy hour. Amazing bartenders Scotty Mac and Blake, with great daily specials and hh deals. The menu has a wide variety so there's always something different and delicious to try. I'd give 5 stars, but there's one area I'd like to see improvement in: the music. I understand that the nighttime younger crowd likes what they play all the time, but it would be nice to have some mellower choices during the earlier hours of the day.

Nice and clean restaurant, very friendly staffs. Not much taste on fish n' chip or Mac n cheese.

Mediocre is the theme of this establishment. Very tacky interior decor, looks as if they went on a shopping spree at Walmart. The burger was okay at best. However, it's very obvious that they don't replace the oil they use for deep frying very frequently. The calamari and fries both tasted like burnt diarrhea. Despite living next door, I avoid the food at all costs. Although their bar is worth going to. Decent and cheap selection.

Some friends and I had a party of almost 20 the other night and our waitress (I think her name was Ashley? She had pink hair and gauges) was SO accommodating and so nice. She was always coming back to check on us at just the right times. She was super sweet and very personable. I just wanted to say thanks for everything!! You were one of the best waitresses I've ever had :)

My friend without a yelp account says "Bring back the old French fries or I'm never coming again!!!"

    (1)
  • Mangosteen N.

I wrote and rave about their seasoned fries. Took my cousin here and we both couldn't finish the new fries. They were almost soaked in oil and a little burnt tasting. I appreciate and understand they are trying to serve more local food, and I support it. Hopefully they can do some tweaking to their recipe.

This place never disappoints me. I always have good food, I like the atmosphere and the staff are very accommodating. I go here when I want good food. Enough said.

Great happy hour but half the reason I come here is for their fries which they just switched so that brought them down two stars because their old fries were that good.

Rudest waitstaff and management. After going here for happy hour a few times with a girlfriend of mine they have never once had a smile on their face while serving us and it's not that I don't tip, because I tip generously since I'm a server myself. The management as well is something to talk about. Everyone seems stuck up as if they're serving at some upscale restaurant in NEW YORK but they're not... so I don't get why I've continued to eat here but since last week it will definitely be the last time.

Went late this afternoon and had the basic Marghertia, always a good choice for a first time visit.. Just cheese, sauce, basil, and sliced tomatoes. Leave of tomatoes next time. Dough is very tasty and really close to actual NY Pizza I've had over the years. Good sauce, cheese and basil OK. Started with an excellent cup of Clam Chowder. Friendly staff and good service.

Worst service I've ever gotten. Went in requested a table, after a 30 min wait and people coming in after us getting seated we were told that they forgot about us. When we finally were seated we then sat for 15 mins without a server ever checking in. We ended up going back to he host and asking for a waiter. 10 mins later the water still hadn't bothered to show up. Needless to say we got up and left. I will never go back to this restaurant. Period. I understand that places get busy and mistakes happen, but this was ridiculous.

We absolutely LOVE this place! I am kind of embarassed, because we have been here so many times and I am just getting around to writing a review. We were there last week and our server was Loren E. He was a wonderful person and server. We thoroughly enjoyed our tim there and conversing with Loren. He could not do enough for us. We have always had, probably the best service of any restaurant that we have ever been to, but last time was just over the top. I recommend this place to many people and none are dissappointed - ever! NOW the other reason we go and the reason people go to any restaurant - FOOD. We have tried almost everything on the menu: pizza (all kinds) - great pizza; sandwiches; pasta; fish tacos etc. ALL of the food is so well done and presented. They just do it RIGHT! Did I mention that the prices are almost too low for what they give you and the quality of the food? It is definitely my TOP favourite go to place. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK - MANY OTHER RESTAURANTS COULD LEARN A LOT FROM YOU FOLKS! PS: I forgot to mention, probably my favourite item on the menu - the clam chowder. Trust me it is better than Anthony's and any other than I have tried. Also, great drinks - Bloody Mary's martinis, etc. OH, and, GREAT - the best place for SEAHAWK games!!

I went here for the first time last night. Our Server was Loren E., he treated us like Royalty. It was late, we had been to the fair and my friend said their great. It was happy hour which I was surprised as I always thought HH was early . I got something off the HH menu and expected it to be a smaller size of the regular but it wasn't. The margarita was delish also. Definitely returning!!!! Thank you Loren E and it's nice to see male servers for a change.

Hands-down my favorite spot in Bellingham. Happy hour lasts almost all day and the cocktails are yummy and they pack a punch. Great selection of happy hour food; all reasonably priced and delicious. This is my go-to spot for drinks and dinner.

I normally don't rate fast food restaurants this high but for what they do, New York Pizza does a very good job in making pizza just a hair's breadth away from genuine New York Pizza in my opinion, but this is a delightful place with great to excellent food, good drinks, and just about anything you'd care to eat with burgers or pizza. The ambience is a little on the loud side with televisions broadcasting satellite sports (Go Seahawks!) but hey, what do you want for a college town? The food is excellent, though its delivery to your table suffers slightly during peak business hours, especially Friday through Sunday, but that's typical of small restaurants that are so highly in demand. Roll with the punches! I think most people take the delays in stride and enjoy themselves and their companions immensely in ite of having to wait a few extra minutes. The service staff is great, and in the years since I've been going there, I've never seen anyone working there who wasn't an ambassador for the restaurant. Like any other business where there's high demand in a sometimes noisy environment (Go Seahawks!), mistakes sometimes are made but I've known that those few errors are corrected with a smile and a bonus offered to make amends with the customer -- though I've never had my order fouled up, and I'm a frequent out-of-town customer. I think the prices are very reasonable and well within reach of the average college student's budget, though this is a restaurant frequented by seemingly everyone in town (i.e., it's not just for college students). In short, you have to deliberately want to leave this restaurant unhappy. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Used to frequent this place all the time for the happy hour menu, but they changed it after about 6 months and it was sub par. Hopefully they changed it back! Plus, they never got my email right or something because I didn't get points or email specials. Food was standard, not bad but not amazing either.

I'm updating my review I have been to nypizza a few times since my first review. Every time since I have had nice friendly servers. The food has also not been over cooked. If you want good pizza with great service give ny pizza a try. I only gave it 4 stars because I have been there about 10 times and one time was horrible...

Went to NYP for brunch and had the best dining experience ever. The bartender Scott was super nice and friendly. He was pretty busy but made sure my needs were met. I would go there for brunch anytime. Food was excellent, service excellent. Love NYP!!

Stopped in the other night for dinner with my roommate and let's just say, we've found our new favorite place to eat! Sat in the bar & managed to snag a booth. The ambiance is quite nice! We were dressed casually but you could easily get away with something nicer... but then again, it's Bellingham. The waitress was really friendly, offered great suggestions, & quick service! We ordered caesar salad, a large "Central Park", & a couple of drinks. Can't wait to visit again soon.

This restaurant is NOT accommodating AT ALL! We took our ailing 82 year old Mother here for Mother's Day and were VERY disappointed. Her favorite thing to have for breakfast is crepes with strawberries and whipped cream and we were assured by two different people that she could change the order from their menu of crepes with Nutella and bananas to crepes with strawberries and whipped cream. The five of us placed our orders (that were exactly on the menu with no changes except for her order) and then a few minutes later our waitress came over and said there were no strawberries or any other fruit available for her crepes...WHAT?! Okay, I guess she'll just have crepes sans fruit. Then while we waited for our order (which took almost an hour) a few minutes later a plate loaded with strawberries, on what I'm not sure, went by our table...WHAT?! We flagged down our waitress to ask why our Mother couldn't have strawberries on her crepes and there was no good explanation....we were shocked! What kind of restaurant would do this?! The only reason I gave this restaurant a 2 star rating is because they didn't charge us for her plain crepes, otherwise it would've been 1 star. This could possibly be my Mother's last Mother's Day as she is ailing and lives in a nursing home so we took her out hoping to make it extra special for her. Well, that certainly didn't happen and we will NEVER be back!

Sitting in my tiny allegiant airplane seat, with my carry on fully stowed under the seat in front of me, flying in over the Puget Sound into Bellingham...I had but one goal! Get off this mother and get to NY Pizza & Bar stat for drinks and friendship! Back in my old stomping grounds, It's the pace to be for happy hour, pre-funking, and general shenanigans! Located downtown on State Street, don't miss it if your visiting and if you're local..well, I'm jealous. I arrived in all my SoCal tanned glory and was immediately scooped up by some of my most feisty and dearest friends. We corralled around one of the comfy large tables on the bar side in the back. The restaurant features both a dining side and a bar space with plenty of TV's and booths, spacious and modern. Service was prompt and friendly! Glasses of wine, cocktails, and kankle jokes all around! (Urban Dictionary: Calves that become feet without taking an ankle break) I ordered the Mongolian Beef (tossed in a teriyaki glaze with sesame, green onion, and yummy crisp wontons. Not overly salty thank god, I cleared the plate! Delish! My brother has the salmon salad and it looked amazing! If you have the chance, try happy hour sometimes, the menu is a killer deal! Bottomless fries and pulled pork nachos?? um yes please! The vibe picked up and it was raspberry lemondrop shot time! Nicely done Mr. bartender! We didn't even realize how late it was as we headed off to the local pubs n clubs-we could have stayed at NYP&B all night. Thanks for the sassy welcome home NY Pizza!

The star status has changed since our last visit. The music was better and turned down. The bar always looks good. And the food this time, clam chowder, Caesar salad, the hottest damned chicken wings I ever had, and the fries with dipping sauce was great. The food wasn't really the problem our previous visit, it was the service. That has changed quite dramatically! I watched the servers as they scurried around helping the patrons as fast as they could with a personal touch, they appeared to really care how you felt and your opinion. One person that we watched very closely was Haley B. When we were seated up walked this bubbly personality with a smiled greeting. Taking my wife's drink order first then mine. Wife had some questions about some items and Haley stood right beside her and actively listened. Then came my turn, one thing that I noticed was that Haley looked into your eyes, carefully listened, and seemed to actually care. She was extremely helpful, my wife's wings were a little to spicy for her so Haley offered up a solution. Hayley's service was extraordinary therefor bumping the establishment up from a 2 to a 4 star. Good job Haley and keep up the great work!!! Because of you we will be back!

I've seen the bartender, Scott post messages about the awesome Steak and Fries Wednesday Special. It was an 867 mile trip....and didn't disappoint! Scott is an awesome bartender and provided excellent service. Treats his guests like friends! The steak was topped with a Bacon Jam...nice touch! Highly recommend this place...especially for those of you that live a lot closer than me! Thanks for a great lunch!

I would give NYP a solid 3. Food is tasty and their happy hour is great. But the service can be a bit hit or miss. I enjoy coming here to watch football and enjoy the fantastic Sunday happy hour plus I started my 21st birthday here but it's a bit pricier than I'd like and again the service is so so. I recommend getting the fries though, they are surprisingly delicious.

Tasty food. Pizzas great. Prices are outrageous. Bud light pitcher is. $14. Happy hour is $12. Maybe I'm not the demographic for the braver ages. The pizzas great during happy hour.

  • Trevor A.

I've only eaten in the bar. It's good. The staff is friendly. The burgers are big and juicy. The fries are awesome. Crispy on the outside. The pizza is good. Nothing special. There is a big variety to choose from. It has a good crust, not to thick. The drink selection is great. Lots of beers on tap and booze for days. There is always a drink special and/or food special on depending on the day.

A perfect place to meet up with friends! We have had countless birthday get together a and nights out start at New York Pizza. Their staff is very accommodating to our large group of friends and we always get great service. Their caesar chicken wrap is to die for and they have great happy hour.

Yum! Definitely check out the happy hour. I went at 2pm with a friend and our 2 kids, I felt like we were nightmare customers but the servers were SO NICE! The food was great too.

This place has the best cheesy bread and pizza! Happy hour was good as far as prices go. The food and drinks were cheap! We stayed and chit chatted for a couple of hours and the service wasn't too bad considering how busy it was that night. I will def be going back whenever I visit Western!

My drink was good. That's the positive. After waiting a hour after finally ordering a pizza I gave up. Totally clueless servers. Slow service is a understatement.

I was hungry when we arrived just at the start of Happy Hour, so lucky me. Just passing through or I would become a regular customer! The clam chowder is amazing. Followed by a pizza, Caesar salad and quesadilla. Typically I don't eat much but my friend and I were not ready to give up sampling the fare. Yum!!

HORRIFIC service. It took 40 minutes to get food and they were not even busy. Menu is overpriced.

  • Cade S.

I don't see what all the hype is about. The pizza is mediocre, but way too pricey. Every time I've been there the space has been so loud I can hardly hear my friends across from me. The second to last time I went, a server spilled my coke on the way to the table and didn't bring me another. I had to ask the waitress for it midway through the meal. Another member of our group was served his beer in a chipped glass, and almost swallowed a shard that had broken off. To top it off, my friend got food poisoning from their Pacific Northwest pizza. The last time I was there, I only ordered fries and they never came. The waitress tried to hand me a bill for them and I refused to pay for something I never got. I had to wait ten minutes to get my drink anyway. I understand they're a popular place and are often busy, but they are very slow with service. After you order, you can expect about a half hour wait for your food, give or take a few. I'm not a fan of the vibe, insane prices, and poor service. Maybe it's fun if you just go to the bar.

  • Kaitlyn R.

Love the food, like the prices, great happy hour deals. I miss the seafood Alfredo but I loved the smoked salmon linguine I had last time I was in. I've liked everything I've had from NYP but I wish they had a few more seafood options, since I think they would do really well with something like that. Good drinks, although they've been a little lacking in flavor a few times. Love raspberry lemon drops.

Best happy hour in bham. Seriously, good drinks and good food. I always get their passion fruit punch happy hour drink and fries. The fries are BOMB. You will not be disappointed when you come here.

Good pizza, fun place to go but a little expensive. This is the only place I have ever been that sells pitchers of beer for more than four pints. I guess they don't like to wash pitchers!

  • B L.

Great price on drinks! Great deals on average and generic cafeteria food! It's easy to put together menu items when the vast majority of their food is prepackaged and prepared before it reaches in house. When "The day it is order by the guest" it comes out steaming hot, and still mediocre. The only rewards New York Pizza & Bar will receive will be from their very own "points award system," unless they change ownership. Great location and idea for a restaurant but the foundation has only been crumbling. Overall, majority of their guests are WWU students that are looking for an upgrade (no matter how small) from the cafeteria on the hill. A captive audience typically agrees with this, and a plethora of anything else. Never been to Lynden location, anyone notice a positive difference?

Best pizza in town! Love the queen supreme! Service is always very good and they have great prices during there happy hour. They have good beers and make good drinks. Great place to go for a game too!

New York Pizza is not just good to great food, it has the best service of anywhere in Bellingham regardless of price point. Every single staff member can and will help you with anything, my wife even caught a waitress cleaning a bathroom stall that needed help between keeping the majority of the lounge perfectly served. I have only had this level of service at 4 star or better restaurants and would recruit my own staff out of NY Pizza if I owned my own restaurant. Now to the food. The offerings here are for the most part basic but with their own flair, which should be expected at a pizza place, but they do well with their takes and the value is excellent. The prociutto portobello pizza is a favorite and the pastas are above chain level yet below fine and are priced as such. The grinders are excellent and the kid's menu is great as it includes a good sized scoop of gelato for the $5 you can spend on the half dozen or so offerings. All in all NY Pizza is a fantastic value with great daily drink specials and a nice happy hour, but service is paramount and if you care like I do, it makes you come back as much as the menu. Now, dinner with my lovely wife.

I love their food! Their flourless chocolate cake slices are to die for, and their pizza's pretty good. However, their service can be a little slow. Food? 4 stars. Service? 2 stars.

Atmosphere is great, cute little booths and very attentive servers. We were seated immediately around 530. DELICIOUS burgers. They only serve angus beef and it definitely shows, i ordered the italian burger and it was the best burger that I have had in a long time! My boyfriend ordered the guacamole bacon burger and he said it was the best he's had too. The Caesar salad is good as well as the bottomless fries that you get on the side. Portion size is perfect. I would definitely come back here.

Love this place. Sign up for the text specials! The Queens supreme is simply to die for and their drinks are always poured with a heavy hand.

this place kind of has it all. cheap drinks, tasty pizzas and a host of great day and late night happy hours. The staff is always friendly and they always have sports on the tv (if that is your kind of thing.) The best thing ever is the $5 pizza deal everyday in July. I mean, does it get better than that? My favorite pizza is the pulled pork pizza, but you really can't go wrong with any of them.

I've been a loyal NY Pizza fan for a few years. Great food, great atmosphere! I was disappointed to see that they are changing over some of the names on the menu to basic bland pizza offerings. I always kind of liked that the BBQ Chicken Pizza is named the Bronx Bomber following with the overall theme of the NY name. You can get a BBQ pizza anywhere, but only a Bronx Bomber at NY. Bring back the NY theme names, the locals love it!

The food is great. The drinks are awesome. Neither are worth what they charge though. The service is HORRIBLE. The waitresses are too worried about their innapropriate outfits than getting your food to you. Not worth it. Never going back.

I went to New york pizza for the first time a few days ago and I was impressed. The wait staff was amazing I had a server named shantelle(sp?) who was amazing start to finish. I could tell she had extensive knowledge of the menu and recommended the calamari which was amazing and I highly recommend to others. I was unsure what to order but after asking a few questions I landed on the chicken Alfredo off the happy hour menu which came out fast and delicious. At the end of my meal she enticed me with creme brulee which was again phenomenal. I was very pleased with my experience and will be back as soon as I can!

  • Sam M.

This review is for the bar's happy hour only. There happy hour drinks aren't the best in the world, but at 4 dollars a whiskey double, you can't even really complain there. 6 dollar 10" veggie pizzas are the bomb though and 8 $ big pitchers of rolling rock make it a pretty ok place to watch a game and bro out to the maximum. I have had friends make some pretty obnoxious comments to the waitstaff here and they always laughed it off and continued to provide us with excellent service which is great if you need a cheap place to drink and be obnoxious, as most college kids do. Don't get the happy hour margarita, I couldn't even finish it that was terrible otherwise they'd get 4 stars.

This is a pretty decent place ot come hang out with friends while dining on authentic New York style pizza and pasta. I like how they have a sweet rotation of daily specials. I like the atmosphere here. It's vibrant and refreshing. Coming here for lunch, dinner, or simply for a relaxing drink is always fun. I would not recommend the cosmos, but their dirty martinis rock! NOTE: seems to be a rotating exhibition of fine art on the walls. Huge plus in my eyes!

Quick Take: Delicious food, great service, and good deals!! Food: It was my first time here, and it was very difficult to make a decision because so many things sounded so good. I finally decided on a pasta selection, which was simply divine. Everyone's meal looked delicious and everyone in my group was quite pleased. Service: Service was attentive and friendly. Our waitress was very friendly and patient when we were being indecisive, and made good recommendations. Deals: We were there on Thursday and took advantage of some of the deals and specials. First of all, I ordered a margarita for $3. Then, because I had ordered a drink, I took advantage of the pasta special so I saved $6 on my Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. $13 for a quality meal AND a margarita? Score!

I've been to the New York Pizza & Bar on a number of occasions in the past -- usually meeting a large group, but was in search of a late night takeout meal after Fairhaven Pizza had closed. I had a "taste for pizza", so I had already rejected the Pita Pit and Horseshoe Cafe, when I realized NY Pizza was open late! While I waited for my take-out pizza order, I sipped a Boundary Bay Scotch Ale and signed up for their under-promoted E-Club (a loyalty program that saved me 50% on the pizza I bought last night and promotes NYP deals via SMS about once-a-week). The pizza was great! And we've returned a couple of times since (twice in the last week) and the food has always been quite good. In addition to pretty good pizza (I still prefer Fairhaven Pizza, but NYP is a pretty good substitute), NYP serves a wide variety of pasta dishes and burgers, and features a full bar and the best happy hour prices in town! This is a huge restaurant where the ambiance is pleasant enough, but hardly worth noting. The mostly carpeted floor space is divided roughly in half between the bar area (where patrons can nibble on some great appetizers or enjoy anything off the main menu) and the main restaurant which is divided into a couple of dining areas to break up some of the inevitable "warehouse size room noise".

Fun place, but a bit loud in the bar for a casual conversation. Food was good and the staff were attentive.

A little slow and the food was not worth 14.99 soda tasted flat but service was good!

It was delicious, but a little on the pricy side. I would say go for happy hour if over 21.

Love this place. Great food, great deals, love the pasta! The atmosphere is great, don't let the name fool you it's not just a pizza place, in fact I haven't even tried their pizza. Drink specials every night and they don't short you. Great place for a date.

The pizza here is solid - the best in B'Ham in my opinion. The beer is exceptionally cold and the service is usually very good. The bar can get crowded especially during games. There can be a lot of Western students here but they're the good kind who will turnout to be responsible adults.

Quintessential college pizza, not the best, but plenty good! While we went pizzas were $5. I think it is for all of July 2013 ... Incredible value at that price for sure. The drinks are good, they have big screen Ty's if you're looking to watch a game and there are plenty of seats at the bar, tables or booths depending on what you're looking for.

Food and service is super excellent. Servers are really awesome and sweet, only downside is there are a ton of royal bros there, but the stiff drinks totally makes that ok. :)

Best pizza in Bellingham!!! And trust me, I don't say this lightly. I have had a vegetarian version of just about every single pizza on their menu now (I eat here almost every single Tuesday for $7.00 10" pizzas) and have never had a pizza I didn't thoroughly enjoy. The toppings are fresh and plentiful, the thin crust is my favorite anywhere, and the pizzas are creative (with toppings like roasted corn, a cracked egg, goat cheese, portabella mushrooms...) The $7.00 deal on Tuesdays is almost too good to be true. Some of the pizzas that you can get for that price are normally twice that much. If I eat something else on a Tuesday night, I feel like I am loosing money! Plus my mouth and stomach aren't as happy as they would be at New York Pizza. I should also mention the $2.00 well drinks (which are always strong!) on Tuesdays. That means a personal pizza (that often serves as lunch the next day as well) and two drinks for $11.00! Pizza isn't the only thing they excel at. Mondays bring $8.00 burgers. I have only had one - the portabella mushroom burger. It was huge and juicy and perfect. My only complaint about this meal were the fries. Trust me, they are delicious and addictive, but the coating they fry them with cut the roof of my mouth pretty bad. I've talked to a few other people that noticed this. I think next time I'll go with the sweet potato fries. Just like most places in Bellingham, the service can drag just a bit, but the quality of food and the price more than make up for it. It might not be the fastest service, but I haven't experienced any rudeness. They are also good with keeping my water glass filled, which is the best way to judge wait staff, in my opinion. The one time they accidentally brought me a pizza with meat on it, they gave me free sweet potato fries to munch on while I waited in the bar for my new pizza. Awesome. If you think Rudy's pizza is better than New York Pizza..... I don't even know how to help you!

This is one of my favorite place in Bellingham to meet up with friends. The bar is great for socializing on low key nights or watching games. The pizza menu has great variety with some unique aspects... All very good. I've had good experiences with other menu choices and the drinks are great as well. Keep your eyes open because this places has great deals featured each night of the week. Tequila Thursday is the best!

This has become a regular neighborhood stop for me. The daily specials are great & the pizza is great. The Farmers Market is my favorite. But the staff is really what makes this place special, the service is always wonderful. Lunch with a large group went seemlessly, and we all had a great lunch & what we ordered. Eatting in the bar & catching a game is a great way to relax after work & bartenders are very entertaining. Twice daily happy hours & specials. Highly recommend!

Nice place to come chill for a drink & enjoy an appetizer or pizza. Very relaxing & clean environment Several drink cocktail specials offered (someone said they've got killer drinks & also offer Jello Shots -- hey, maybe next time!) Nice menus with a nice selection of food (they just added Gnocchi to their menu, too!) Oh, and they've got GREAT wait staff that are super friendly, too.

Good happy hour food selection, and awesome weekly drink deals for a college friendly budget. $6.50 Long Islands on Friday.... as if they weren't already dangerous enough. The staff is young, outgoing, and usually pretty accommodating. I came here the day after Halloween to watch the Hawks game with about 10 friends. There was some confusion among the waitstaff as to where they'd seat us. They finally put us in a banquet room, which turned out to be awesome. Especially considering the epic loudness of my group. Everyone was drunk, rowdy, and obnoxious... and I would really hate to be our server. Yet, she did a good job, and handled us very graciously! The pizza is great. The HH pizza is a perfect bite to start the night (or end one) Nice and cheese, not extra greasy, and exactly what you want in a Pepperoni pizza. The salads are good, and their boneless wings were pretty tasty as well. Ideal place to go with friends or family, celebrate a birthday, or to yell over a sports game. It is essentially, The Red Robin for Pizza. I give them 4 stars for their awesome Happy Hour

Specials aren't super great, especially for their martini's. Pizza's pretty good. I really like the Empire State, but not any bigger than a 10 inch. Otherwise the avocado ends up making it too greasy = fatty stomach ache. Salads are fine. Service is fine. Just kind of ...fine overall.

I was back again with friends and for a group of about 15 people just walking in on a Fri. night we had a table in no time (that should tell you a lot). This is one of those places I only go if out voted. This time I tried the New York burger...it says on the menu its a 1/3 pound patty, but maybe they use a "pound" of their own creation that they keep in the back that is cut it into thirds, then they use one of those "justice is blind" kinda scales to measure it out ....nothing about it looked like 1/3 of an American pound... Im a big fan of Bob's burgers here in town and they also serve a 6 oz. burger patty and remarkably their patty appears MUCH larger.... I wonder if they put air in it to pump it up, a mystery! Regardless, of the size of the burger, it was just like my last experience here, 100% un-memorable, nothing about the food would make me want to go back, I am not saying it was bad, it was not, but when I go out to a restaurant I want food that is better than I can make at home! I paid $10.00, for a burger that was average at best, again I have to compare it to Bob's, if you want a great burger, well...go to Bob's...hands down....nothing about NYP made me think even for a second, hmmmm giving Bob's a run for their money. One other thing, being a large party and being one of those annoying groups that wants the check split up... NY automatically adds the tip onto the check.... and I have NO issue with that at all (frankly I think all restaurants should do it on split checks), except for the fact that the server does not MENTION it...(in all fairness it does state as much on the menu in small print, but who reads that) this is the second time I have experienced this and the first time I ended up leaving a really large tip as a result of not catching it, I would of done it again if someone at the table had not mentioned it was already included. I got service barely worth 15% not 30% So FYI or you may end up double tipping your server, under those circumstances...something that I'm sure the servers quickly figured out was possible by not mentioning the tip was already included.... Overall I say, skip it... If you want a Burger, go to Bob's Pizza: Rudys or Lafiamma Italian: D'annas

Hands down, my favorite place in Bellingham. The Seattle location is good too, but this is way better. Livelier atmosphere, and better bartenders (they know their stuff.) I love the different themes of the weekdays and all the Happy Hour specials they offer. With two happy hours, it is really easy to catch one of them. They have happy hour specials for drinks as well as food and it's easy to get filled up for cheap. My favorite is Martini Monday. Get the shakers, they seem pricey but you get a lot of drink for your money and if you like sweet drinks then you will love most of these. My favorite is the Pixie Stick. They are also very accommodating for large groups if you plan/call ahead.

Okay the food was good- really quite good. But sadly the service was just not good the day we came. We had a large group, but the place was not even close to busy. Took over 15 minutes to get waters (only after we asked) This only continued as the lunch progressed. Slow service and lack of attention. Probably just my luck but I simply can't give it more than two stars for this type of experience.

My husband is gluten intolerant but always wants pizza. We've had a hard time finding good gluten free crust that doesn't taste like cardboard. NY pizza delivered. He loved the pizza and I did too. Great food. Good drinks. We will definitely be back.

New York Pizza & Bar is a regular dinner spot for my friends and I. The eggplant parmesan is my favorite item on the menu. Very tasty! As for drinks, the shakers are extremely tasty and may be a bit expensive on a college students budget, but their taste makes up for it... although I generally end up ordering only one because of it! Definitely a fun atmosphere and a great place to hang out with friends for dinner. The staff is friendly and the service is great too!

I love the food here. Since it has opened it has become one of my favorite restaurants in bellingham. the drinks are mixed strong. the staff is friendly and treat you like you are a peer instead of greeting you with fake smiled and forced bubbly attitudes. their menu is great, because it not only has traditional options like a standard pepperoni pizza, but you can also try a wide variety of more exotic pizza creations.

Visiting from out of town. My wife, who is Italian from Rhode Island, loved the pesto sauce on the gnocchi. I had a taste and couldn't agree more. I had the queens supreme and was amazed at the toppings. If want a pizza were you can't see the sauce or crust this the place. Don't get me wrong it's good tasting dough but it's like the pizza we make at home you ain't gonna count the salami slices on two hands.

blech... when my friends suggest coming here, I just nod my head and smile. talk about a big, boring, nothingness of a restaurant. I would genuinely rather go to an applebees where there is a better happy hour and people are nicer. NY Pizza and Bar's food is not that great, service is not that great and prices are too high for what they are serving. Sorry, I'm just not a fan.

Went to New York Pizza on State St for lunch with my husband and daughter. Worst lunch experience in a while. Started out with slow service by hostess for amount of people at restaurant, floor under table had food all over it. We ordered, from a waitress, beverages, side salads for myself and daughter, a cup of chowder for my husband, and 2 10" pizzas. Service of beverages was slow. They did bring us all water first. After 20 minutes another waiter, Jim, brought us our 2 pizza, they looked good. I asked him where our salads and chowder were, he said he didn't know, and asked us if we still wanted them and that they would be free. About 10 more minutes went by, Jim brought us our salads and chowder, he apologized again for the mix up. The salads looked good. My husband took a bite of his chowder and it was ice cold. Jim came back, we told him the chowder was cold, he said, "your kidding me!", he apologized again and said our whole meal would be free. Jim returned the chowder to kitchen. We gave Jim a tip for his service and told him the only thing good about this restaurant was him. We will not be returning to the New York Pizza restaurant on State St in Bellingham!

Went back and was pleasantly suprised. They have obviously updated the bar waitstaff and I had a great time. I even had a hostess catch me off guard to refresh my drink, and I totally fumbled over my drink order and the waitress came to confirm just so I got the right drink. Good job.

WEAK! Sat down and waited for some time before anyone noticed us... Then ordered a beer. The server checked my Oregon ID. I told him the sticker over my address was the way the state of Oregon deals with a change of address. He kept staring at it. I asked him if he thought I was under 21 (I'm almost 30). He said that didn't matter.... Then he confered with his manager and came back and said he couldn't serve me. Nothing like being called a fraud by some guy slanging pizza. I suggest the business owner review with his employees how to use the Internet to look something like this up on a DOT webpage when these question come up.

They have t.v.s, but only in the bar. It is a great place for a large group of people and kid friendly on the dining side. Pizza is yummy, salads are great. But I think the burgers are over priced.

This is an update from my last review. I went back to meet some friends in the bar to celebrate their graduation. Not only did I STAND at the table for over an hour before a server acknowledged me, I was only acknowledged because apparently I was in the way of where they were serving drinks to my friends. Finally, after an hour and a half, I gave up on getting a drink (I had previously approached the bar and was ignored and tried to get something from one of our table's servers, but was also shut down) and I left. I'm not even a demanding customer (having worked in the industry, I recognize that sometimes its a rough job) but I get better service at the McDonald's drive through! I am so disappointed. I gave this place a second and third chance and I really want to like it, but I get the shaft every time I go. I don't get it. Maybe its a fluke and I go on days that are just hectic...??? Decor is nice--I must note that.

Great pizza, pasta and burgers. Lots of space in both of the restaurant and lounge, which can make it feel less overcrowded. I am a huge fan of the Mickey Mantle pizza and their Chicken Parm. They have wonderful happy hour specials that are some good deals for early dining. It has definitely become a popular spot!

The sweet potato fries are a very good appetizer. The Calzone's are big and you're able to choose all the toppings. They do take 20 minutes or more to bake so plan accordingly. Waitstaff was friendly and always assuring us that Calzone was baking away. My friend had the Lemon Drop shaker on special for $6.00 (reg 8.00). He said it was very good. Lighting and inside was clean and chic.

I was here for my birthday, and had over 15 friends with me. They accommodated me perfectly, giving us our own little room to be loud and have fun in. The waiter, Josh, was extremely friendly. He took our drink orders with sass and smiles. Their Long Island was just right. I also had a Duck Fart and Oatmeal Cookie shot (hey, it was my birthday!) and they were AMAZING. I also ordered a drink that tasted like an apple Warhead (which was great, because I love sour). For dinner, I got the shrimp alfredo and it was delicious. A friend of mine got a roast beef sandwich with fries, and I tried her fries, and they are wonderfully different. Its like they are panko crusted or something, but wonderful. Their spinach dip is also great. I think everyone should try this place. The pizza is really good too, if you like white sauce, try the Manhattan. They have happy hour everyday, and are open super late. Its become one of my favorite places for lunch, dinner and drinks!

I celebrated my birthday here with out of town friends and my girlfriend, it was everyone's first time in. We ordered beers and martinis along with two appetizers. The martinis didn't get rave reviews, but the price was good, $6 for a shaker. I thought the beer selection was decent. The cheesy bread and steak appetizers we got were awesome! We also ordered two pizzas, lasagna and pesto cheese ravioli. The Pacific Northwest pizza was amazing! There was a problem using the free app for check in coupon, our server didn't know how to redeem it and had to get the manager. When the manager came over she apologized and got it working. Unfortunately the server and manager didn't talk much because the manager then tried to take our order again and there was a lot of repeating going on. Just seemed to be a bit more confusion than necessary. Other than that the service was good and they were both very nice. I will probably come here again.

Great happy hour but half the reason I come here is for their fries which they just switched so that brought them down two stars because their old fries were that good.

We have had countless birthday get together a and nights out start at New York Pizza. blech... when my friends suggest coming here, I just nod my head and smile. talk about a big, boring, nothingness of a restaurant.

This place has the best cheesy bread and pizza! Happy hour was good as far as prices go. The food and drinks were cheap! We stayed and chit chatted for a couple of hours and the service wasn't too bad considering how busy it was that night. I will def be going back whenever I visit Western!

Yum!!

Good pizza, fun place to go but a little expensive. This is the only place I have ever been that sells pitchers of beer for more than four pints. I guess they don't like to wash pitchers!

I would definitely come back here.

this place kind of has it all. cheap drinks, tasty pizzas and a host of great day and late night happy hours.

Excellent service, the waiter was very attentive. The food was delivered quickly and tasted great with good sized portions. We took home half the food we ordered. Didn't order any drinks so I can't comment on that, but definitely check this place out, we'll be back for sure!

Normally great but tonight sucked. They were busy but service was terrible and the food sucked. Waitress avoided us until two minutes after happy hour ended and then refused to give us happy hour prices. Will return but tonight sucked.
