I dunno why this place has bad reviews. Its great. The lunch buffet is straight sick. Paneer, tikka, masala, some spinich thing with potatos, curry, tons of lamb. And for what... Seven or eight bucks?! It's unbeatable. Everything is spiced perfectly. Even the big pan of rice has cinnamon sticks in it. I don't even live in B'ham anymore but I'd come back for this. Its the only thing that could ever get me to go up there again.

I have never been to their location downtown but today I stopped by their new location on the WWU campus (vendor's row). I stopped because they had a sign that said "Veg. Samosa $1". Joy rang through the land. I hurried quickly to press my freshly found dollar bill into the vendors hand. The Samosa was excellent and for only ONE DOLLAR it is now the best deal on campus. I eat my Samosa with sauce. (The sauce was also awesome) The Samosa was in fact SO delicious, I had to dig through my purse for a second dollar. Once found I hurried back to the stand, and the attendant was so gracious and sensitive my plight that he hooked me up with two. I found a friend to give the other to. She agreed; these are the fantastic. You should eat them.

My family and I were in town. The usual vegan restaurant I go to was closed. We saw this restaurant driving by. We were met with friendly service and great food. They could make everything vegan. We will be back if we are in town again!

I love Indian Buffet and I look forward to trying every new one in the areas that I'm in as often as possible. Maybe I've been spoiled by a number of terrific Indian Buffet around Greater Seattle but unfortunately my experience at India Grill just wasn't anywhere near even the bar of mediocre. During my visit the restaurant was chilly and very poorly lit. Dreary. Bad light, chilly, no music playing. Where was the effort at creating ambiance for the customer? Nothing about the environment felt warm or inviting. Looking up you'll see a pretty fabric suspended as a ceiling cover but restaurant experience is body and eye level. The price of the buffet was $7.95 per person, which is very common. I was surprised (VERY) that there was no sneeze guard protecting ANY of the food. That's fine at home but an intolerable and completely unnecessary health risk in a public restaurant. Big thumbs down for this management decision. I was also very surprised by how few buffet items were offered. The most limited selection I've ever seen in Indian Buffet for the same price as what I'm used to in other Indian establishments. Maybe for $4.95 or $5.95 comparing and being relative about it. The items prepared that day were all right. Nothing to complain about; nothing to write home about. The dining area was clean. The service was very friendly. I was hoping that I'd love this restaurant as I haven't connected with an Indian restaurant that I adore anywhere in Skagit County yet. Overall experience was disappointing.

The food is pretty good. Granted I only went there once for dinner so this is a very limited review. Everybody else with me also enjoyed their dinner. The place itself really needs an upgrade. Seems a little dingy and the seat cover was also torn. But the service is good and the nan was so soft and fresh.

I enjoyed a tasty lunch there with a friend--I had chicken curry and she had the spinach with chick peas. The food was good, but the service was not. The woman made me feel like an inconvenience, and forgot our tea. When my friend got her chai tea it was so bad she didn't drink it. I see others have mentioned the improper set up for the buffet and it is still that way. Someone needs to tell them to read Yelp!
