Standard Thai place. I think equivalent to Busara over in Sehome but with worse service. I was there on a Saturday night in August and it was empty. Can't be a good sign for them. If you want American Thai and you are downtown it's worth a visit.

I had the best curry I've ever had this morning. Panang curry on their lunch special came with soup and rice for $8. I've been to this place a few times and it's definitely my favorite Thai food in town. Colorful in taste and visual presentation. Not to mention I was the only one there and it took less than 10 minutes for my food to come.

Last night we tried this new place and it was amazingly good! We tried 3 dishes and split them. We tried a curry dish, yakisoba, and the orange surprise chicken dish! They were all amazing our favorite was the curry. The cream cheese Rangoon were amazing as well! The service was great and prices were good. The food was worth the price! This place is worth giving a try especially if you have a hankering for Thai!

By far my favorite Thai place. We eat here often and bring friends here if they are from out of town. Everybody loves it. May take a little longer to prepare your order but the foods taste and quality remind you why. The staff are always friendly. I hope they gain enough patronage to stay here for as long as they like.

Love this place! Our go to Thai place in a town full of Thai restaurants. The food is fresh and flavorful. Their spice scale is lower than normal, but beware, it is HOT. My boyfriend normally eats 3-4 stars at other places in town, and could barely handle the 2. Many other friends in town have the same sentiments. A bit spendier than other spots in town, but the sauce for Spring rolls is to DIE FOR!

We arrived after a large group, so the service was slow. However, the superb food made it well worth the wait. I had yellow curry with beef & hubby had mango shrimp & scallops. Both were wonderful. Servings just right to share. The wine selections worked well with our dinner. We'll be back!

I love this place every time I go. The food is prepared with care and they have great gluten-free and vegetarian options. I usually get the spicy basil fried rice and pad Thai. Their summer rolls are well crafted. This is one cook who pays attention to detail. Best Thai in Bellingham.

Came for lunch and ordered chicken pad thai to go. There were two tables of 8 and a few singles so I was expecting a wait. The woman advised me the chef's spice level was pretty high and advised 1 star out of 3 for medium hot, which was perfect, plenty spicy. The pad thai came out in ten minutes which was nice. Overall the flavor was just OKAY. I agree that it's not the over sauced ketchupy stuff you usually find, but with that being said it was a bit dry and under sauced. It was definitely tangy from lime and the salt from fish sauce, but I didn't taste any other typical flavors, the balance of sweet, salty, and sour. It included green onions, bean sprouts, egg, sliced chicken breast and was garnished with some shredded carrot and a scant amount of peanuts. The noodles were cooked right, not over or too al dente. They were a little bit stuck together after the quick 5 minute drive, which I again attribute to a lack of sauce. The tables around me got a lot of curries for lunch which looked delicious and will be something I'll try next time. Not the greatest, but another ok thai restaurant for Bellingham.

Based on our first visit I will go back soon. My eggplant with pork was spicy, delicious and appetizing to look at, served with brown rice as an option. My partner's Pad Thai was not too sweet and tasted more typical of The Pad Thai I've enjoyed in Thailand. Server was friendly and accommodating, atmosphere, simple clean and bright.

This place is great! Opened fairly recently. Wait staff were fantastic. Food was spot on. This is some of the best Thai food I've had in the region after leaving my beloved Thai restaurant (Blue Elephant) in New Zealand.

Just finished my lunch in this relatively new downtown establishment and quite pleasantly satisfied. Mussamun curry special was full of flavor and heat, as requested. My waitress attentive and pleasant. Tables, glassware, silverware and paint scheme all are aesthetically pleasing. Only item I recognized as wanting is the loud start to the HVAC system. I will say though I have dined in many a cold restaurant lately and I did appreciate this space is maintained comfortably warm. Bravo.

Very bland Pad See Yew. How long had those noodles been sitting around before they got to our table?? They also mixed our order and put extra spice on the wrong dish...quite disappointing!

I ate plenty of thai food in Seattle and I am no expert in thai cuisine but I had my fair share of thai noodle dishes.I ordered the drunken noodle and my friend ordered the pad thai. Both dishes arrived discolored hence aesthetically it is unappetizing. Usually these noodles are stir fried in a wok and that would add some nice fiery flavor to it but I didn't taste it in my dish. My dish is so bland. It is for sure spicy but no flavor. Also my thick noodle clumped together. The other competitors in the area definitely offer better flavors at a cheaper price.

My boyfriend and I shared some very tasty spring rolls and pineapple fried rice here the other day. The service was great, and there were so many yummy sounding options on the menu that we will have to come back and try some more!

Meh. I was hungry. It was very Americanized and service was slow. Pros? -chicken is tender -red curry has a good flavor, but not a typical Thai flavor (where are the bamboo shoots? Galangal root? Kaffir leaves?) I make better Thai curry at home! -staff was friendly -modern and clean environment Cons? -really have to ask for what you want (water, check, everything) -oh so Americanized -better Thai food almost anywhere else

Thai food in Bellingham. Who knew? You never know what you would find, if it wasn't for yelp! Thank goodness! Enter yelp and it found I & Wife Thai cuisine in the heart of downtown Bellingham, WA. My yelp friend and I decided to eat here after meeting up at Starbucks nearby. It was after the lunch crowd at about 1:30pm, so clearly the restaurant was pretty much empty when we walked in. The decor was very becoming and we learned that this restaurant had been here for less than a year. It is quite clean, organized, and something you'd see in a photo gallery. It is elegant and a masterpiece at the same time. We had the restaurant all to ourselves and that was alright. I was on vacation and she was on her lunch break. It's all good really. The ambiance here was clearly quiet and reserved. I'lol bet that it can get noisy here during peak hours. The experience here was nice, casual, and positive. The service here was friendly and quick. We got our order within 15 minutes, so that was good. The menu was typical of Thai restaurants that I have been to. They had many items, but I checked out the lunch specials and it was decently priced at $11, although for me, it was a little bit of a sticker shock. I looked over the curries before deciding on the salmon curry, which I didn't expect a whole salmon fillet with curry on it. Really? I was a little floored by that one. Thought it would have been cut up in small pieces like how beef and chicken are in curries. Shows what I knew about Thai cuisine, I suppose. The curry was served with a single scoop of white rice. I & Wife Thai cuisine restaurant is located on Cromwell street in the heart of downtown Bellingham, WA. They accept major credit cards, so that's always a plus. The parking situation is kind of complex, although I found it convenient to park in the paid parking lot in front of the Starbucks on holly street, then walk a few blocks over to the restaurant. The salmon curry was spicy, since I had ordered it medium spicy to begin with. I thought that the curry itself was decently good and the salmon filet should have been prepared better - and not just a whole filet covered in curry. Still, it delivered what it promised and I had a hearty meal with a new yelp friend in Bellingham and it was a nice time here at the I & Wife Thai cuisine restaurant. While I can't say that this place may need improvement, I can say that this place is pretty good. Just try it out and you may be surprised. I have had better Thai cuisine before. The sticker shock wasn't as bad, but still, you may be surprised at what you will discover here. Best bet would be to come to dinner and see how things go. If I ever come through Bellingham again, I would consider coming back. Recommended if you are a Thai aficionado or just in the mood for Thai food in Bellingham. 3.5 stars, solid. Support local! B

After our first amazing experience, we tried FIVE times to go again. They were closed during normal business hours for various reasons, although the first time we tried there was no sign, no hours, no explanation for why they were closed. The sixth time we finally lucked out and they were open. The service was unfortunately slow and the food was very very bland. I was so disappointed! Hopefully this was just an off day, but sad to see such a big variation in food and service. Maybe they'll improve consistency as they're open longer.

Our first time eating there. The restaurant was chilly and the service was too. We ordered 3 dishes: a halibut dish, peanut noodles and basil fried rice. All 3 dishes tasted amazing and were beautifully presented. They dropped the ball when I found a thick, black hair in the fried rice. I kept trying to get the waitress's attention and ended up bringing my plate with the hair to the front counter. She took the plate ( which was my noodle dish) in the back and returned with a new rice. My noodles were thrown out:( they should provide smaller plates in case people want to share and work on their customer service. We will give it one more shot since the food was so good. If the service is poor again, we won't go back.

A name you will never forget and really good food. Went for lunch and everybody had very positive comments about quality of the food. Definite upgrade from the Shrimp Shack.

Staff was inattentive. Wait time for food was long. Food eventually served wasn't that great. First and last time I'll patron this place.

Went in for a late lunch. Only a couple other tables were occupied. The waitress was nice for the most part -- but not very skilled or attentive. There was a second woman there -- maybe to help with the take out orders? She didn't seem to do much else -- and even then I witnessed her leave off one entree on a pick-up order and make a mistake on another. The food was okay. Somewhat on the bland side for overall flavor but the spiciness helps. I'll take that over the sickly sweet flavor profile of some thai restaurants. Spice levels are 1-3. If you don't ask -- and if the waitress forgets to ask you -- which happened to me -- there will be no spice added. I will give them another try.
