There are plenty of Happy Hour options in downtown Bellevue. Rock Bottom doesn't win for most stylish, or best crowd, or most innovative menu - it's none of those things. It's a basic, but solid choice in a sea of choices. A good place to meet an old friend. The environment is pretty generic brewpub - lots of tables in the bar area. There's a decent selection on tap, and the HH menu has an okay array of the usual offerings - pizza, nachos, etc. We ordered a couple of pizzas and some nachos, all of which were huge portions for the money, but nothing special. That said, the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes - we ended up with way too much food for not much money. The service was good too - our server was nice enough to bring samples of several beers when my friend could not decide, and was attentive about refilling drinks and lowering the shade when the sun was a bit too strong in our eyes. If you just want to relax with some unfussy friends, it's a good choice.

The food is nothing special - standard pub food. I usually am here for beers, but wish they'd have more IPAs on tap other than their standard one. It's still a fun place, to meet a friend or two at. But in my most recent visit hence the four stars, Rock Bottom publicized that they were hosting a yappy hour on the patio, which I just had to take my dog to. We got all our dog friends from the Bellevue Downtown Park together for yappy hour and it was sooo fun. The manager came out, to introduce himself and had a plate of housemade dog treats that were grain-free! They even had complimentary appetizers that they gave out for us humans! It was so awesome. Our group kept getting bigger, but the waiters and waitresses didn't seem at all annoyed or tired. They were even asking to pet our dogs and would take pictures. I really hope RB keeps hosting these yappy hours -- had so much fun!

First time here. Ordered the Cajun pasta. It didn't taste cajun. It tasted like a jambalaya without the rich robust flavors of a legit jambalaya. It was bland. Needed salt. The whole dish tasted fake. I don't think the chefs know what cajun is. Also the menu said cajun cream sauce. There's no cream in the sauce. Just alot of grease from the sausages.

One star. Our waitress was honest about gluten-free and what it meant, which saved us from being sick for the rest of the night. Cross-contamination is apparently a major issue at this place. Not wanting to be sick for the rest of our weekend, we asked the waitress exactly what gluten-free meant. She was honest and we appreciated it. If you have celiac's, you need this information right off the bat. Everything was ok till around last call, when a large group of belligerent middle-aged guys from the South began harassing us. It started with guy 1, ~50 year old coming to our table saying, "you need more penis at your booth". This was followed by not 1 more; not 2 more; but 4 more progressively ruder individuals coming up to fake apologies for their "friend". Each and every one of them was actually worse. We were scrambling to pay and leave. Guy 1 left, flipping us off, calling us bitches, saying "you could have had that paid for". Not our culture. The 4th guy gestured to pour his drink on us. The waitress was witnessing the whole debacle and even told us to wait inside as we tried to get a cab to safely vacate. Her manager, however, was all-smiles, jovial, and dismissing the whole situation while half-heartedly apologizing to us and placating them. We asked him to make the harassers leave, and he did not. We asked him to at least call us a cab, and it did not fetch us. We ubered home, unimpressed, creeped out, and done forever with this place. Hope this explains it. Bellevue, when it is ghetto, it is sinister and sneaky. Main issues: the manager did not throw the harassers out even though the situation was obviously threatening and we obviously needed these guys out, and we clearly requested it. There was little business here. Times may be tough but shitty customer service is the reason for it. We ended up tipping the waitress more than what we actually incurred. She was the only decent thing about this situation. Everything about tonight was chump-change-level business, and the manager valued his creepy gaggle of guys more than he did the reputation of this establishment. He made maybe $150 off those guys and lost our patronage forever.

I visited Rock Bottom with my mother who is in town visiting. We came on a weekday afternoon that was clearly NOT busy at all. We sat at our booth for about 7-10 minutes before our waitress came by with waters and no apology for the wait. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but I also work in the industry and I personally try to avoid making tables wait for more than 1 minute without at least being acknowledged and not without an apology and explanation. Maybe I'm asking too much... Anyways... We were ready to put in our orders so my mom got some kind of tacos and I ordered a chicken sandwich with avocado on it (can't remember what it's called) with a side salad as well as the sangria. After another wait, my sangria finally came out which I didn't like at all. While it sat full in front of me when our waitress brought our food (and walked by us multiple times) I finally had to let her know that I didn't like the drink and asked if I could just get a mojito instead. The mojito was much better and my mom ended up drinking the worstsangriaintheworld. Food comes out, my mom liked her tacos okay and I choked down the driest chicken sandwich with no flavor whatsoever. Food was terrible. The honey mustard on my salad was salty too which I though was really strange. Service was nothing to remember, food was terrible, definitely won't be back.

My company held an event here. We had the top floor to ourselves, and part of the bottom floor. The place is spacious - lots of seats and standing room. The service was good - the staff ensured we all had our drinks filled and made sure we are okay. Food wise, it's decent. It was all finger food, but it wasn't bad. The chicken wings were decent.. the sliders were a bit below average. There were other types of snacks but I didn't eat them. Overall - we had a decent time.

I have been to some Rock Bottom restaurants in a couple of states and the food and beer has always met expectation of being quick, flavorful, reasonably fresh, & affordable. However, at this particular restaurant the food was sub-standard. First of all, they have a beers of the day which are limited. Started with the guacamole that was under-seasoned, and the chips tasted like they were not made in-house or were stale. The fish tacos were just confusing- with two layers of tortilla - crispy blue corn & supposedly soft taco layer which was then grilled and made crispy. What is the point of having two crispy shells when it's NOT supposed to be crispy tacos. Anyways, then there is a layer of cheese to make the two layers of taco shells stick to each other, c'mon that was just gross! The fish in the taco was almost minced and didn't taste fresh at all. The spanish rice that was served had some bunches of tiny rice grains and was plain unappetizing. Overall the food at this place does not live up to the current Seattle food scene. Two stars for the decent service and because I could sit there and watch the NBA finals. Go DUBS!

This Rock Bottom Restaurant is located in the same complex in Downtown Bellevue as Gene Juarez, Taphouse, and LA Fitness. It is convenient to walk to if you park anywhere around Downtown Bellevue, including Bellevue Square or Lincoln Center. Also they have the Bellevue Galleria parking which is attached to the actual building, and Rock Bottom validates parking here (not sure for how long - probably 4 hours like Gene Juarez). The beers are cheap. The food is decently-priced - but for the most part, most of the food is a-ok at best. The only thing I really recommend here (foodwise) is their pretzel sticks with the spicy dip. They use the pizza crust and the sticks are truly delicious. I've ordered something with chicken, and it's hit and miss. Sometimes it's half-raw, and sometimes it's way overcooked. And it's clear they don't clean their grill frequently enough (if at all) because I could scrape charcoal off my chicken breast with a spoon. Not very appetizing. What is not obvious to customers is that there is a very nice upstairs to this restaurant, which is never open (I mean, never has been when I've been here, and I come a few times a month). There is a whole separate bar upstairs, and a juke-box, and pool tables. It's very disappointing that they don't utilize it to their advantage. I'm sure you can book private parties up there, and I must say that would be an excellent venue for a gathering from 15 to 60 people. Rock Bottom sends me emails with various events after I subscribed to their mailing list. However, it seems that those events aren't very well planned, because my husband and I have shown up several times and the employees didn't seem to know what we were talking about. I don't know if it's a gimmick just to get customers into their door, but not very successful.

We have been to Rock Bottom on several previous occasions, and on those occasions we had a great experience. Tonight's experience was not up to our normal expectations. Let me say that this was one of my family's favorite places to go for birthday dinners, but after tonight, Rock Bottom took a moderate slide from the top. We ordered the chips and guac which was tasty, but the portion was very small and the 5 of us polished it off quickly. It was now time to order our meal. My oldest son ordered the BBQ burger with onion rings, and my wife and other son ordered the Cuban Cristo sandwiches. I had the standard Classic burger, and my daughter ordered Fish and Chips. After about 10 minutes after the waitress took our order, she came back and told us that the Cuban Cristo sandwiches were no longer on the menu, and asked what other dish we would like. This was a big disappointment for my wife, but she ordered the Fish and Chips, and my son ordered the Maker's Mark burger. The waitress left, and a few minutes later, came back and told my other son that they were out of the BBQ burgers, and asked what other meal he wanted. This burger is my son's favorite burger, and he was disappointed, so he ordered the classic burger, and asked the waitress to put some crispy onion sticks on it. After a few minutes, she came back and told my son that they were out of onion rings, so my son ordered fries instead. The food finally came, and the onion sticks were not on my son's burger, and the fish and chips was nothing special. My burger was your standard tasteless burger, not up to the burgers I have had there in the past. My son's burger was tasteless, and he had to put tarter sauce on it to make it edible. He wanted BBQ sauce but the waitress didn't return until he ate most of the burger. The waitress was apologetic and provided us with a nice complimentary dessert which we didn't really need, but we ate it anyway. She then gave us the bill which included the $1 surcharge for the onion rings that we didn't get. The beer was OK and only $6. So, I am giving them a standard 3 star review, for a less than spectacular $100 dinner for 5. I would give them 2 stars, but we had better visits in the past. We will probably go back to California Pizza Kitchens across the street the next time we are in town for a birthday dinner.

This review is 95% based off the service. The food was tasty, but the staff made my visit. I was blown away by how awesome the staff is here. I got to visit with the brew master Sarah about multiple local breweries. The hostess, Elizabeth was awesome! And my waitress was amazing and possibly due to my beer flights I forget her name!! The receipt says So-she! Shout out! Will definitely be going back. PS the winter elf brew was amazing! And I could drink the stout all day!!

Visited here for a Puzzled Pint event ( puzzledpint.com , for anyone interested). This place has a large seating space which meant they could well handle the 80 or so people who attended the event. We wanted to sit near the puzzlers, however, so we took our seats at the bar. The bartender was a really nice, efficient guy who took good care of us the whole evening. They had a number of beers on tap and I enjoyed the dark beer I had, just can't quite remember the name. The 3 stars, however, are because I was really disappointed with my dinner. The veggie burger, with the beans + oats patty, was so dry and bland that I couldn't finish it. Even the fries lacked the crispiness I'm used to. Maybe other items on their menu are better, but I'll need to try them out before I up my rating.

Absolutely horrible service. Great food but horrible service. I saw my server when I ordered my food and when I was done eating. Someone else dropped off my food and nobody ever came by to make sure it was ok. Which it was not since I wanted to order something to go and didn't get to till my dinner was done which meant I now had to wait longer for that to be done. They were out of the first two beers I asked for.the to go I asked for my server said he thought they were out of but would check. I gave him a second choice as a backup and he never did bother to tell me what I was getting Surprise I guess!!! Horrible service all around My food was great though!!! I will not be visiting this location again :(

5/3/14 visit Re-review: I wrote a 1 star review on 9/29/13 and returned on 5/3/14 with much reservation. I'll start by saying that the experience was much better but they still have some work to do. The new hostess is just as clueless as the other one. We (2 of us) said that we wanted to sit at the bar and she said that the bar was full and that we would have to sit at a table. I told her that I would sit at the bar because I could clearly see that there were stools. There were 5 open! The same bartender that we had the horrible time with last time (Katy) was working behind the bar. She was surprisingly attentive and smiled. She asked us if we needed more to drink and filled our water glasses without asking. I was genuinely shocked! We always tip over 20% for good service so I'm sure she was happy with what we left. We ordered food and the ticket time was a little long. I think it was between 20-30 mins. We ordered the Jalapeno Pretzel Stix, Brewer's Cobb Salad, and the Bourbonzola Burger (medium well). The stix and the salad were good but I couldn't eat the burger. The bun and the burger were both burnt. It tasted like charcoal. They were black and obviously burnt. The bartender was nice and asked if she could replace it. I declined and told her not to worry about it. I believe she showed the manager because he came over a minute later and wanted to replace it and cover the other meal. I accepted and received the new burger. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great! I saw the manager walking around the restaurant, checking on tables. This was a different manager from my first visit. I can understand the Kitchen making an occasional mistake so they'll get one pass. I was extremely happy to see that the manager was actually managing the restaurant! He will make positive change happen at this establishment. I'll be back again to see if they are still improving. I know that I said that I would not be back after the first visit but I live very close so I had to see if they had improved. If they don't improve then all of their business is going to go to the Tap House Grill which is only 40' away in the same building.

We showed up at 12:20 and there was no greeter or server. We sat ourselves down at the bar and about 20 mins later a server shows up saying they did the last call 20 minutes ago. I personally didn't really want to come here anyway so we left and went to another bar. I don't know if it's common to do last calls 40 minutes before closing time but maybe it is here. My previous experiences here haven't been that great anyway. Mediocre beers and food. Kid friendly though during lunch and dinner.

I am writing a follow up review. Our initial visit was disappointing, and I provided that feedback to the assistant manager at the store. He promised to follow up, and after a few days, there was no follow up, so I gave a 1-star review. Well, today, much to my amazement and chagrin, I found in my mail a handwritten apology from the regional manager. It was postmarked shortly after my visit, and must have been lost in the mail. I am a firm believer that good service doesn't have to be perfect, but when you make a mistake you have to make it right, and this was excellent follow through, so kudos to Ryan Hartman for taking the time to write a card and mail it. Upgraded my rating and I will definitely come back and try again.

I am not a big yelper and when I do review, it is for the most part, in celebration for exquisite food, service or both. Here we have a situation of a restaurant in transition that for whatever reason, has gone down the tubes faster than the painful bowel movement it's "food" will most likely inflict. It gives me no pleasure to write this as the section we were in was hopelessly understaffed. While other workers stood around on their phones, this poor waitress was hopelessly swamped and had no idea what was on the menu as they changed them..again... I ordered the turkey burger and my friend ordered the cheeseburger. If this restaurant was swamped, I would understand the food coming out lack luster but the reality was it was close to closing time, and the kitchen ceased to give a fuck about what was on the plates they were sending out. The turkey burger was charred on the outside and soft in the middle. Which would have been perfect if I ordered it that way but the waitress never even asked how we wanted it to be cooked so there Ya go. The cole slaw was chopped onion with honey mustard on it and the cheeseburger was borderline inedible. In an effort to salvage these disasters we waited for ketchup. There was none on the table so we had to flag down the waitress which was the last thing she wanted to hear. If you are looking for a dry on the outside and salmonella on the inside experience get a burger here. This place used to be so good with such amazing menu items such as the Titan's Toothpicks, outstanding Asiago spinach dip and big juicy burgers. Now, it's a poorly managed, retail factory of fuckery I wouldn't send my worst enemy to. If you're in the galleria go to California Pizza Kitchen, The Taphouse or just catch a feral cat, light up a dumpster fire and have a bbq. All much more attractive alternatives to dining in this once glorious now embarrassment of a brewery.

This review is based on 3-4 recent visits at Rock Bottom. Just left TAP House after waiting for 15 to 20 mins for a server to take my order. Since I was on my lunch break, I could not wait any longer so I put on a dollar for the water I did not touch. Rock Bottom was just nearby so I went to this place instead. It was open seating when I was there (3.30pm) and my server greeted me just a few minutes right after I sat down. Ordered Lobster and Shrimp Enchiladas with Ceasar Salad side order. Even the side order portion was big enough as an entree. The Enchiladas was good too. I usually ordered cajun pasta. It was good also. If you are a big eater like me, don't bother their street food. Not that it is not great, it is just small heheh and you will probably end up ordering more than one. (I had to order 1 street food and 3 side orders to keep me filled up) Over all: server was good. Nice and friendly. Food was food. Free wifi. They really earned my four star.

We ordered a mojito, coffee, and water to start. Mojito was a bit sweet, but we managed through. My boyfriend ordered chicken fried chicken, and it was marvelous. He also ordered the hybrid egg-rolls (southwest egg rolls I think) . They were a bit messy, but good (he loved them)I ordered an ahi tuna salad and it was good, so was the chicken tortilla soup. I've gone to this rock bottom many times; everytime it is great.

I recently realized that I come here all the time; but I'd never written a review. This is the watering hole for our company's local office. I've had many annual performance appraisals here; great ones I might add! Whenever we're there after work, we have the Nachos. For lunches and dinners I often have the Brewer's Club Sandwich. And one of the best IPAs around; Hop Bomb! Lots of TVs, so a great place to watch games.

I have not been here for ages. I am surprised by the lack of business on Valentine's day, one of the busiest days for the restaurant industry. Despite not having a packed house, they were out of crayons for kids and 2 IPAs. The beer was not good. I expect better from a brewery restaurant. I ordered chili and BBQ chicken salad. Both were good for the price they charge. Four stars for the food, not for the beer. Kiddo liked her chicken tenders and mashed potato. The price is family friendly. We will be back again.

With all the 90 degree days we've been having, I decided I wanted to go hangout somewhere with AC and get some work done, but it was Friday night and I figured places like Claim Jumper would be packed. Rock Bottom worked out perfectly. They've got a ton of first come first served bar seating, both upstairs and downstairs, and I had no problem finding a quiet area to park myself and my computer for a few hours. They have free wifi, too. Food is okay, about what you'd expect at this sort of chain place. Beer was also okay. Better than places that just serve the typical domestic drafts, but not as good as our local microbrews. Downside is that things are on the pricier side, which I guess is to be expected for downtown Bellevue. A schooner of beer cost me $4.50. I think it would be a better idea to come in for happy hour. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice until some sort of weird Friday night dance/karaoke thing started up at 10pm and I decided it was time to go home.

This review is from 2/10/2015 but I forgot to post it. So my review comes from a phone conversation standpoint. I have a girlfriend that has celiac disease and cannot have any gluten or wheat or wheat by products. This means calling restaurants to find out if they can work with us to accommodate this. Now before I go on let me say that I do not get online and give poor reviews to places that cannot work with that. I will say that this review is because of the lack of answers I was able to receive. I know this is not so rare of a disease these days and that more and more restaurants are creating special menus to cater to such people. The phone call with the restaurant resulted in very little info.

Great place to catch the (a) game. Plenty of TV's go to around with one very large in the bar area. HH menu is pretty well equipped with specials on their very own drafts. Gigantic nachos are just what you need. Would definitely visit again!

My family has been eating meals here for over 12 years. Always good burgers. Ahi tuna salad is great! Many beers on tap. Full kids menu. Fun place!

Rock Bottom has gone way downhill with their food over the past year or so. Still not a bad place for watching sports and grabbing a beer, but if you're looking to get food, you're going to be disappointed. Cold and soggy street tacos that you can't even pick up without the tortilla falling apart, nachos that are cold and hardly have any toppings in them (especially the meat you paid extra for), super long waits for your food to come out that's cold when you get it... Over the past 8 months I've been in there probably 6 times and had a bad experience with the food every single time. I'm done giving them more chances and just won't be going there at all anymore.

Great Food, Great beer & good place to hang out with family or friends. Love to go there when I can to watch some sporting events. Service is always good! No complaints my go to spot for American pub style beer & food!

I got a sampler of beers when I went today. Of them two were really good, two were good, and two just weren't my pint of beer. It was a good selection though and a very reasonable price. This also makes it easy to know which beer to get a full glass of. I liked this place and will go again most likely while visiting Seattle.

Rock Bottom has fine beers to chose from and this is a good reason to visit. The food is typical American pub food and is just OK. Nice list of salads, but all meaty, why no options with veggies only is a mystery I usually fail to resolve. The service is good, even overly attentive sometimes. The best part is the little patio in front of the pub, on a non rainy warm day you can enjoy your pint outside. Solid 3.5 stars and I'll be back again.

It actually has a pretty decent selection of beer! You got to try the Nachos! It's a killer! I'm not a big fan of the set up of the place. The bar area is weirdly set up as you walk in, the lay out of the TVs are weird. The 2nd floor is set up like an 80s diner... Oh well but I love their beer!

Rock Bottom is not the amazing place it was a few months back. We sat in the bar during happy hour, so I did expect mediocre service. The dismissive strawberry blonde waitress we had...yeah no. I ordered my drink to her back, and when I asked for a Coke also, she took it as a kickback. The smiling raven haired waitress I had after is the ONLY reason I am giving this review 2 stars. She quickly fixed my Coke problem, and got us real menus instead of just the happy hour menus. Unfortunately, the cook was not up to par today. My usual order of Bourbonzola rib-eye was medium rare, but under seasoned and they really need to scrape their grill. My husbands steak didn't come with the onion ring as seen on the menu. Thankfully, our happy waitress ran back and returned with two for him to adorn his steak with. When we were done, the strawberry blonde returned, eager to take the check, and I am sure the tip. Because I was disappointed with HER service, the tip was meh. But I will be returning to search out the happy, helpful waitress to give her a big tip, in cash so she doesn't have to share. A smile and attentiveness during a busy shift goes a long way!

Everything you need to know about this restaurant is pretty much in the name. With a name like that, you have to wonder if even the owners didn't have much faith in it's success. The food here tastes like bagged frozen food that's refried. Go here for drinks but don't come hungry.

  • Mitren C.

They have good beer and decent mixed drinks. We waited almost 30 mins to get our appetizer. When we inquired, we were told the kitchen was backed up even though 70% of restaurant was empty. Not sure if I will return. They also don't validate parking for garage right next door.

This place is pretty good sports bar, it's big and theres always a good spot for the TV. Their fresh lemonade was pretty good but the food is just decent, but this place isn't supposed to be known for food as much as it is for the beer. Beer selection is pretty good, not completely up to standards but it's not bad. Service is just okay, I've been here over five times and service is just mediocre.

Thought it was decent. Good beer, slow service. Every time is slow so nothing has changed. Up stairs is more fun when it's open

Beer is average, fast food diner style similar to dennys, low quality ingredients. Happy hour is affordable. I recommend going to the tap house next door for food and drink with 100 beers on tap you cannot go wrong

Decent Happy Hour and it was not overpacked. Staff was nice and accomodating. The appetizers we ate were average nothing special. The shrimp we had was very fresh, so we got lucky there. I would have much preferred if they had unique appetizers.

The dinners I have had there are usually pretty tasty but I mostly stick to the chicken meals which are pretty solid. Especially with their IPA. In any case my most loved part of this restaurant is the karaoke nights on Fridays. They have great serving staff upstairs, they always have apps ready, and the DJ has a ton of songs. Sometimes you won't find one on his site or in the small book, but you can just ask him. Nice guy. Anyway, I always have fun on Fridays. The rest of the nights it's decent enough to want to sit down and enjoy it now and again.

Our server, Jordan A, was incredible! We came out to catch the Cardinals game and grab a few drinks. Jordan A was extremely attentive and was always available when we were ready to order more drinks. She was witty, had a great sense of humor and went above and beyond!

This has nothing to do with their food because we were never able to eat it. We set a reservation for 8 people at 8pm having to be somewhere else at 9:30. We got to the restaurant early and they told us to wait a few minutes while they get our table ready. We ended up waiting until it was 30 minutes past our reservation and they said it could still take 30 more minutes. We decided to just leave and it basically ruined the entire night. Definitely not going back to this place or recommending this place to anyone.

This was my first time here and I wasn't super impressed. I had a Cobb salad which was kind of bland. My husband had a steak and mashed potatoes, his steak was cook just right and had decent flavor. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon....so many other places I would rather eat at.

This is my first time here. Usually I'm hesitant about going to new restaurants but my boyfriend wanted to eat here. We first got seated at the table and a few minutes later the general manager came by and politely asked if it was okay for us to move. Of course it was. He comp us with free desert (even tho he didn't have too) the service was amazing. The hostess was amazing and chipper and sooooo helpful. Our entrees ended up coming out before our appetizers buy they also took care of it. This was the best service I've ever had.

place is good for coming to after work w/ coworkers (large parties). happy hour specials, and food is alright. alcohol is kinda' overpriced, though (the large mug size isn't that large).

  • Michael K.

The food was actually quite tasty, but our waiter forgot to bring my second beer which to me is sacrilegious and he never checked in with us once while we were eating. Not sure why they have a kids menu and no crayons for the little ones. :( Boo.

A friend coordinated a huge event there. Over 100 people from our conference. Some say more. In and out we probably had 150 people. Our group more less bum rushed them. The staff was prepared for us to knock back a significant amount of alcohol however they were not prepare for our appetite for dinner. I would say even if the kitchen was completely slammed because of our group. The bartenders handled it real well. The service started off slow but improved through the evening. My experience is such situation had me order a couple/few drinks at a time. I had their version of a wheat beer and their IPA...two of my go to kinds of brew. Not too bad as my taste buds were probably eased by the fact that they extended the happy hour prices all night for us. Ran into the manager outside and talk about our group. Turns out Rock Bottom is part of the same restaurant conglomerate that own the Gordon Biersch brewery. Makes sense.

Great place to watch the game. Good happy hour. Our server Jordan A. was outstanding and had us laughing and gave us above and beyond service throughout our night. Great beer tastings and their food is very good as far as bar food goes and the price is very reasonable. We will definitely be back and i would encourage anyone to ask to be in Jordan's section she legit rules.

I've been here once before but I didn't fully appreciate it until today! The beer sampler is amazing especially with the sweet deal on it only May 12-18th my favorites are the Kolsch as well as the Specialty Dark. The food compliments the beer really well I recommend the baby brats or the pound of wings also the chicken fingers! The atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly. I plan to check this place out for football Sunday this season!

Amazing beer, meh food. I went here with a group of 10 to watch a Seahawks preseason game on Friday and we had decent service, good drinks, but nobody loved their food. My turkey burger that I asked to be lettuce wrapped came literally with a piece of wilted lettuce on the top and bottom and wasn't cooked through all the way. I had a few bites and decided to make a meal of the fries it came with.

Our family is a huge fan of the Rock Bottom. Food and employees are great. On a recent visit, we had a few things go awry with our order and Brian, the manager, made things right with no hesitation. Made us even more loyal.

The reviews of this place sure are wildly all over the map! This review is for theupstairs bar during a totally packed Geeks who Drink trivia night. The dinner crowd downstairs really lightens/emptiesout as trivia gets going, which I understand since trivia starts at 9pm, but it stays a packed house upstairs all through. The service as so great, based on thereviews that say otherwise, I almost thought I was in the wrong place. The main bartender was jovial, talkative, attentive and rellatively quick. He only slowed a little on large, complicated orders (a girl approached and ordered 3 mixed shots, 2 bourbons, 4 differet cocktails, etc) The waitresses and bussers just kicked ass, going non-stop for the high energy trivia crowd. I didn't order food tat night, but of all the dishes around me, everything looked good and I saw no complaints or long waits. Late HH kicked in halfway through the game, and as orderes piled in no change in service was noticed. Solid option for booze and trivia fun in Bellevue, i'm sure i'll go again.

I'm pretty neutral about this place. Don't come enough to love it but don't avoid it to say I hate it. I had the chicken fried chicken the other night and was definitely impressed! The portion size was great and the pricing is always just about right. Their in house brews are never a let down and the pretzel app hits the spot!

My boyfriend and I come to Rock Bottom about twice a month for an after-work beer and some grub. Patrick was our server this evening, and he was awesome (as usual!)! Despite some douche excessively critiquing the quality of his perfectly fine plate of food, both Patrick and the bartender kept their great attitude and delivered a delicious dinner. The new menu is great and I was impressed :)

    (5)
  • Amos Y.

Decent American food place. Has plenty of TV's with sports stuff on and is pretty casual. The service is good. The pretzel sticks appetizer were pretty good; comes with a chesse dip. Tried the Blackened Shrimp Mac 'n Cheese and Chicken Fried Chicken. The mac n' cheese was quite good, cheesy with a slight crust on top. The chicken fried chicken was pretty average fried chicken. One of my friends got the 2:00 Am Burger and really liked it. The portions are good and prices are decent.

Came on a foot ball sunday and it was packed! Seahawks v 49ers. Our server was amazing! Even with all the people there she kept a smile and acknowleged us at all times with refills and continued orders. We sat in the bar in some high stools and watched the game perfectly (wish it was louder though). FYI LOUDER NEXT TIME!! It was happy hour and the menu has a great selection of drinks and appetizers. We got the jalepenos and artichoke cheese dip - so yummy! so spicy! And regular priced Nachos - perfect for football in my mind. I will be back. I love places with awesome service even if the food is just average (but this was pretty yummy and hit the spot). But our server, wish I remembered her name was GREAT!

    (5)
  • Hugo D.

Food was pretty bland and the guacamole was awful. The service could have been better. We received our appetizers at the same time as our main dishes. We waited for 15 minutes for a table and we saw a bunch of empty tables, especially in the back. Save your money and walk across the shopping center to The Tap house.

  • Morgan M.

The only redeeming part was watching the game. The medium steak we ordered was over done, absolutely no pink in the middle, mashed potatoes were cold, and the two onion rings that came with it were only ok. The veggie burger I got was worse. I've eaten the same meal at the Seattle location and it was great. The veggie burger here was super dry and falling apart. The flavor was only ok. I'm not a vegetarian I just love veggie burgers, when they're done right, so I ordered bacon on mine. It didn't arrive with it, no biggie that's easily fixed. However it was gross. How can you fuck up bacon?! Or tasted like grease. Our server was nice, even though he didn't come around much. That could've had something to do with him being the only one to do any real work. I saw other servers, even the manager, who stood around chatting or just disappeared altogether. Unless you're just coming here to drink beer and watch a game don't bother with this location. Seriously, if you want food go anywhere else. Go to McDonalds before you go to this place for food.

  • Vanessa N.

The burgers were huge disappointments. It was tasteless, and it was very rare. When I asked to take it back and cook it to medium it came back with burned fries. On the other hand, we had a good service.

I went here for a friends birthday. It's like Red Robin + Brewery + Bar. My silverware and glass were filthy (literally food still suck on them) and I had to send them back. I feel like you can't go wrong with pizza - even really bad pizza is normally okay. So that is what I ordered- I was wrong. When I got my it was cold and insanely salty. I could see the layer of salt on top of the pizza (who adds salt to pizza?). It was inedible. After my experience eating here, I wonder what the kitchen looks like - I feel like there was more hiding in my pizza than just extra salt.

My husband and I stopped in on a Tuesday night for a quick burger before a meeting that we had to attend. After we ordered the burgers we never heard from our waitress and after seeing our burgers drying out under the heat lamps for a while, we flagged down another server to help us out. He was great and ran back and brought us our food immediately. The burgers were completely charred from sitting under the heat lamps so we were pretty frustrated. At this point, the restaurant manager came up to us and asked if everything was okay. After we told him, he said he would get us new burgers and comp the entire meal. We were very surprised and pleased with how he handled the situation. In addition to comping the entire meal, he gave us a $25 gift card to use on a future visit. If not for the nice waiter and manager, this would have been a really bad experience and we would have hesitated to ever return.

We went here for dinner tonight and it was decent. The beer was great - I had the white ale, very delicious. My husband had the cider, he loved that too. For an appetizers we had the guacamole and chips. The guac was terrible. Someone forgot to smush up the avocado to an amount that is actually bite sized. There were just giant chunks of avocado in the guac. It didn't have very good enhancements either, like no lemon or lime sauce, it seemed like they just added a little tomato and onion to the avocado and called it a day! For my entree I had the BBQ ribs and chicken. The ribs were fantastic actually, but the chicken was really spicy. It thought it was super weird that the ribs wouldn't be spicy at all but the chicken would be super spicy. The fries served with it were skinny fries, they were good. My husband had the burger - he said it was good. But the mac and cheese that he got with the burger was AMAZING!!! Seriously, it was amazing. If you go here you should totally get one of the mac and cheese entrees. Overall - OK meal. Some good some bad.

Favorite drink: dragon fruit strawberry mojito (It's sooooo good!!) Now I don't normally like mojitos, but exotic fruits added to the mix is to my liking. I like karaoke Fridays because the DJ can download any song you pick. The only downside is that karaoke ends at 12 AM, which is a little too early for ending karaoke. Everything else is pretty typical of a franchise brewery.

RB under CraftWorks has now lost all the attributes that kept me coming back for over 3 years. Sadly I recently conceded the value proposition just isn't there anymore. Except for the occasional good seasonal, the beer is unremarkable by Seattle standards. Food choices have been dumbed down and quality has deteriorated. All this accompanied by significant price increases and increasingly so-so service. My advice to folks looking for reliable craft beer selections and down to earth pub-grub experiences in and around Bellevue: first off, avoid Rock Bottom and Taphouse. For age 21+ parties, go to the Pumphouse; if there are kids in tow, head over to Redmond's Celtic Bayou.

Rock bottom is a fine place to eat a quick work lunch if you have low expectations, which I did. If you come with low expectations your experience will exceed them ever so slightly. It is a convenient place to go if you work in the financial district and want a cheap, warm, relatively not stale tasting sit down meal. Both times I have gone there the waiter has been so painfully honest about his intentions that it actually makes his lack of concern for his profession more endearing. He's curt (not in a bad way, just curt) and will bring you your $6-7 lunch special when it's ready. He won't bend over backward but he will do what you ask him. Which is great considering usually places this banal will top off the experience with maddeningly slow service, constant failed upsell attempts, and general corporate chain restaurant malaise that makes heading back to your office to sell your soul marketing the hell out of companies just like this all day long that much more soul-crushing. Basically, if you are in the mood to get a decent soup and sandwich in a sit down restaurant that can get you in and out in well under an hour even when they're packed for the same price as a sandwich from specialty's (less if you splurge for the specialty's cookie). For doing it's job and not actually trying to be anything more than a lunch deli (the beer is not worthy of mention) catering to office workers, I give this place a solid three stars. That said, I imagine if I came here and paid $12-$20 for one of their entrees plus appetizers and drinks and got apathetic service and paid $80+ for a completely mediocre experience for myself and a date, I am sure I would give this place 1 star and sign a petition to have it closed, but given the lack of options that I've found so far in this neighborhood for convenient, reasonable lunch options, I'll go ahead and throw it a 3-star bone. Solid.

I thought it was nice. No fights broke out but they did have a pretty good cover band. It was a Thursday night. I have some blurry pictures of the food and the high cielings. I ordered the steak dinner from their healthy menu. I wanted it med rare and I got med well. The side of string beans were quite salty and the side salad was only alright. I got the beer sampler but one of the glasses came only half full. I don't think our server was on the ball at all. My dinner came to about $13 plus tax, the sampler of their different beers was $6.75 or something. The beers made there is alright. All in all, it was an alright place.

I had to return the sliders. They were pretty tasteless and cold. I recommend the cooks go over to the Parlor...where they have some pretty awesome sliders and copy what they do.

$2 beers and $5 pizzas on sundays. do i need to say more? i guess i might as well, a beer sampler for only $6.75 (all day every day)! and all appetizers for $5 during happy hour! so why would i ever come here for a regular menu item? great environment, not ritzy, not crappy, the perfect blend for a restaurant to go to after a somewhat hard day's work. the upstairs is cool, there's a little stage for live performances (still haven't seen one yet), a pool table, dart boards, and a couple arcade machines. and i've never had issues with the service, they've all been really nice overall: i'm not the type of person who particularly likes having a "regular" restaurant to go to, but if i did, this would be on that list

  • William B.

We've only eaten here once but the service was excellent, the food was great, and the beer selection is extensive. We both had delicious steaks but the vegetables were obviously frozen. We were quite disappointed by their dessert menu, it didn't seem to gel with the rest of their menu with typically "pub" desserts missing. They seem to have a comprehensive list of events, happy hours, and specials and if you're there at the right time you can tour their mini-brewery.

    (3)
  • Terry P.

Beers are ok, food's not bad. If you're in the Bellevue area and are looking for a decent happy hour, go here. Mainly, go there for the beer specials.

    (3)
  • Gregory D.

The one thing these guys have going for them is their beer. Since I'm pretty much an IPA snob, I've only ever had their IPA, but it's good enough to keep me coming back. They even have a pretty good price on their take home growlers. Their food is decent. I seem to always get the buffalo fajitas. Just enough spice and a very good flavor. If you have a young one, your child will enjoy the kid's pizza. Before it is cooked they let your little one spread the sauce and put on the cheese and pepperoni. Certainly a lot more fun for your kid than your standard color crayons and coloring book.

I'm a huge fan of Rock Bottom on Tuesday nights! I mean, you really can't beat $2 beers (22 ounces at that). They have awesome "ball park" pretzels and their nachos are surprisingly not that bad! They are always rotating the beer selection but you can always be sure that after 44 ounces of beer for $4, it's a good feeling :)

The best locally brewed beer and a fine selection of food choices to sample. A good place to hang out to watch sports and enjoy a few mugs of ale (once you sign up to the Mug Club).

I avoid this place when it's hopping--it's really annoying. But they make the best carrot cake ever. It is phenomenal. They make it from scratch and it is dreamy. I've also tried their mac & cheese (I get it without chicken, which seems like a strange variation...?), which is pretty good. Heavy. They used to make a Monte Cristo sandwich for lunch--it is downright ridiculous--a monstrous sandwich battered and fried...sadly, I really liked it.

Run-of-the-mill burger and beer place. Nice service. The atmosphere is like a Red Robin.

  • Flavius G.

Very good food. But, they don't serve any kind of bread. What?! And they serve your salad at the same time as your meal. Again, what?! This place could be signficantly improved with some common sense. Also, the atmosphere is not the best. I felt like I was eating in an airplane hangar. On the bright side, the carrot cake is HUGE and amazingly good.

Rock Bottom is right next to Tap House in Bellevue-right next door. The only way I can tell these places apart is by the amount of beer listings Tap House has. Other than that, and the fact that Rock Bottom can get pretty cramped inside, I don't really see a difference between the two.....if you're looking for somewhere that is o.k. once or twice in a year, somewhere to take your TGI Friday's loving friends, this place is perfect.

We stopped in after a movie and found it a very pleasant place. They have a good variety of their own beer. The Jambalaya was great with the Brown Nut. This was the day after Christmas so it was easy to get seated, but there still was a fair crowd. Service was great.

  • Kimberley D.

I went here post-work for a coworker's divorce celebration party. I was surprised to see it so crowded... it never occurs to me that people hang out on the eastside on Friday nights. The band upstairs was pretty awful, although I did appreciate that they had live music. I only ordered beer, but the stout was tasty and I liked that it appeared to have been made on the premises. The staff was as friendly/attentive as possible given how many of them there were vs. how packed the place was. I agree with Mackenzie - can't say that I'd really want to hang out at the rock bottom, but if your coworkers insist on dragging you there, it won't be too traumatizing either.

We had dinner before the play at the 5th Avenue this week, they were so busy there was standing room only in the bar. Luckily we had made reservations! They seated us right on time, service was outstanding and the food was delivered quickly and it was great! We had salmon and it was cooked to perfection. They have small desserts that are just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth and they don't make you feel guilty about eating them. What a concept. There was a table of 22 people next to us and I was amazed that all of their meals came out very shortly after they arrived and all at the same time! It looked like they had called in their orders before arriving at the restaurant so the kitchen was prepared on such a busy night, great idea. The only fall back of this Restaurant is the lighting, it was too dark for our liking, but everything else was wonderful. And you need to get a code from the server to get into the restrooms that are outside the restauarant and down a hallway.

I recently went there with a bunch of my friends for my birthday and it was packed! We made late minute reservations yet they managed to get us a nice booth for six people. The waitress was so nice and was very prompt with our drinks. I would have tried the beer, but I wasn't of age yet and instead went for the virgin Mojito. It was very minty and fresh =). My friend and I shared the Chicken Waldorf Salad and the Dubble Swiss Mushroom Burger for appetizers and main course. It was simply delectable! The meat was tender and juicy throughout, and the mushrooms and swiss cheese acted as a nice conglomerate that held everything together inside the burger. The portions were huge! Plus, they served onion rings on the side. How I missed those.. Sharing was also the best thing that happened to me that night. I was eyeing my friend's BBQ ribs, which looked incredibly yummy but I opted out on it because I didn't want to act beastly chowing down on a bone in front of my friends. However, my friend managed to pull it off eating it with her fork and knife! She's such a lady. Dessert was also very good, we all shared the Chocolate Raspberry Passion, as the menu described it to be "A moist chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream with Stout hot fudge, raspberry sauce and nougatine" - it was worth every bite! I've learned to appreciate nougat from then on. I am a fan, and will most likely go back again. Hopefully, I'll try the beer next year when I turn 21!

Went to rock bottm with the wife for dinner and it was just ok.She had the chicken fried chicken which was delicious and I had the cod fish and chips what a mistake the menu had pictures of big pieces of fish and chips when it arrived it was 4 small pieces of fish small fries that were barely warm what a bad deal and they charged 11.95 for this it was the worst pub fish and chips I ever ordered and i have ordered them from everywhere what a dissapointment. Like the beer and the chicken fried chicken but do not order the fish and chips. I would of complained but the waitress mever came bacvk by not even to see if i wanted another beer. The parking lot was empty yet we still had to pay five dollors to park and with tip it still cost quite a bit to eat dinner there.

uhm ew. (+) beer is good food is alright music is pretty good/fun (-) service is horrible they don't have happy hour they have "late night dinning" i went to a bday dinner here once and that was fine food was normal whatever and music was pretty good. it wasn't till i was looking for a happy hour place that i came here, got bad service paid for my drink, canceled my food and left...(to taphouse) they don't even really have happy hour but they have a "late night dinning" menu which has like 2 things and it's not even cheaper.

I made a visit here for a birthday party. The general consensus of my party was that the food wasn't bad, the portions are pretty big too. I had the smoked salmon fish & chips which I thought was delicious. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish it, probably due to all the beer I drank. We got a few samplers for about $6 each that come with 8 small glasses of the different beers. If beer is your thing it'd be worth it to visit the Rock Bottom Brewery.

I really don't know why I come here for lunch. The service is slow and the food is not that great. The only going for it is the rotating beers but then I generally don't come back for happy hours. Parking is a pain here with all the construction around it. With all the new restaurants around, there are many better places to try.

If you want good beer and a good time, I recommend you walk across the courtyard to the Taphouse. The food, drinks, and service are vastly superior. The one edge Rock Bottom has is live music most weekend nights, which draws some rowdy crowds depending on the bands. This Rock Bottom made the news a few months ago when a big fight broke out in the middle of the restaurant. Beer bottles smashed, chairs thrown, etc. It's not a very good place, but fine in a pinch.

The food was way too greasy and salty. I don't drink beer but I know they have a good selection and that it tastes really fresh. This is a good place for a casual date or to hang out with a group of friends because of the chilled-out atmosphere. The sodium level for the food needs to come way down and the quality needs to improve for the price they charge.

  • John H.

Generic food, generic beer, generic (yet spacious) atmosphere. Not a bad place, but it's hard to recommend a Brewery when you've got Taphouse 50 feet away.

Food is passable, but the beer is great. They have a super selection so if you're a beer nut this isn't a bad place to check out.

Rock Bottom really feels like two different restaurants in one. The downstairs is restaurant seating and the main bar, which gets busy around meals and happy hour, but clears out fairly early in the evening. The upstairs bar is more pup-like, with more subdued lighting, a pool table and dart board, and individual tables scattered around. I usually make a beeline for the upstairs bar, so take that into account if you're reading this review. The food is good, but nothing special; it's pretty fairly priced for the quality and quantity. It's good solid food that will fill you up, but you're not going to find anything exotic. Really though, most people at the bar aren't going to Rock Bottom for the food (it's the beer, stupid). Rock Bottom is a chain restaurant, but the beer selection is really on-par with any decent micro-brewery in the Seattle area. They brew all their beer in-house and keep a dedicated brewmaster on staff to tend to the brewing barrels as though they were his children. They have about eight beers on tap, so you can find a good beer of just about any type you like. I'm partial to their Lumberjack Red, myself. In addition, they have a rotating beer that changes every month. At the Bellevue Rock Bottom, this beer is usually a lot more adventurous than the other selections, so be sure that you're in the mood for something a little outside of the normal before you order it (they're always good, just different). The bartenders and servers are all very friendly and will often hang around the bar even when they're off work. If you're there regularly, it's worth taking the time to get to know them. They help give the bar it's laid back atmosphere. On Fridays and Saturdays, the bar will often host live music (usually with a $3 cover charge) and on every Thursday a really fun cover band called The PopOffs plays (no cover charge and they almost always play some awesome sets). Middle of the week can get a bit quiet though, which isn't too surprising, considering that it's Bellevue we're talking about. Good beer, good place to hang out with friends, and good music. Not bad for a bar in Bellevue.

I don't know about the beer (though I have it on good authority from my husband that it's great), but the food was really good. Love the battered salmon with seasoned fries, and hubby loved the titan chicken toothpicks too. Portions were real generous too. Scary to read other reviews about how rowdy it can get, but we went on a weekday noontime, so it was pretty sedate and we got to enjoy our meal without any noise or disturbance.

I got really fucking drunk off my ass here. The beer is the only good thing, I didn't care for the food too much. It's a great atmosphere for groups especially if you grab a seat outside.

I was taken here for lunch by a coworker the other day. Thankfully lunch was on him, as I would have been pretty upset to pay for the most bland sandwich and fries I've ever had. The service was mediocre too. A friend of mine said it best: "Rock Bottom is the airport bar of restaurants."

*right down zee middle *pretty decent crafted beers of their own, great TV/Sports set up and nothing to brag about food that also doesn't disappoint *service is manic, I usually get great or rotten

Food is consistently poor. Chicken sandwich today with a tiny slivered avocado on top. Cooked to oblivion, shredded iceberg lettuce. I got grilled broccoli thinking it would be a healthy option but they hammered it with salt and I left with a singed broccoli taste in my mouth. If you go, just get a beer and watch a game. Skip the food entirely.

Probably my favorite spot in Bellevue, I love the atmosphere here. their food is always good, cooked just right with good side portions, while the main dish is always fills you up. They have a variety of hand-crafted drinks, all do pretty well! The only negative is that their best dessert is rarely, if ever, in stock.

If you want a meal and good beer every once in a while, this place is fine. If you're looking for a good customer experience or a place that that appreciates your loyalty, look elsewhere. The following is a brief list of experiences and observations that as a whole demonstrate the apathetic attitude that we have encountered from management and staff in the bar area. We frequented this restaurant from the period of March 2013 - September 2013. Our most recent experience led us to decide to never return to this restaurant. * Management - Never on the floor. They don't introduce themselves, they don't ask about your experience. * Wait Staff - (In the bar area) each time we visited, the wait staff acted like they never seen us before. They never acknowledge us, or took the time to learn our names. We were going 1 - 2 times a week during the period of March - July, each time we went they acted like they had never seen us before. * Wait Staff - Slow apathetic service. Not attentive to customer needs. Have to ask for what you want instead of the staff anticipating your needs. (For example: refill drinks, more beer, ready to order food, introducing new menu items) * Wait Staff - Staff service one person at a time, instead of multitasking. For example, I regularly see staff walk to a table clear a dish. Walk to another table and return with a takeout box. Walk to another table and return with a beer. Why can't they carry a notepad, and service more than one table at once? * Wait Staff - Service is slow and unmotivated. * Wait Staff - Staff don't seem like they enjoy their job. They seem generally unhappy. Not sure if they're being mistreated or underpaid, but they seem like they're there because they have to be. * Events - Upcoming events are not promoted and are not posted where patrons clearly see them. * Holidays - Staff don't try to make if fun. For example: On Saint Patrick's Day, the waitresses don't were green or necklaces to try to make it a fun experience. During our last visit, the restaurant was not super busy. The Staff were socializing, clearing dishes table, and servicing tables that already had food. My husband made eye contact three times; the wait staff did not acknowledge him. Staff walked by our table several times without saying a word. We waited 12 minutes without even being acknowledged or served. We walked out. I would like to end this review on a positive note. There was one bartender, Ryan, who provided excellent customer service. This review does not apply to him. Also, I would like to point out that the food and the Rock Bottom beer is great.

3/5 stars..you kidding me?? For the price, great food, great service, not to mention the homemade IPA - not too hoppy, perfect for me. Made a mix up with my sides & had 3 servers apologising while one brought an additional side, even though it was my fault! Smokin' jalapeño sirloin with grilled broccoli & aforementioned additional mash potato all delicious! 'Nuff said!!

Cool place to hang with karaoke up stairs, tv's downstairs to watch sports. Ton of bar seating. Reminds me of BJ's in the bay. Had a bit of their brewed light beer ( don't remember the name), and it was pretty smooth. Also one of the few places that made Greyhounds without fresh grapefruit fruite that tasted decent enough to order another. Very chill. Bathrooms were nicely lit and clean. Found a girl drunk and passed out in one of the stalls with her underwear down, and heals off to the side. o_O Had to get our server to help her. Now, you don't see that everyday at a bar (speaking sarcastically).

Came here craving a drink and pretzel. Our waiter was friendly but the pretzels took FOREVER to come out--around half an hour or so. And they were definitely not that busy. Our server at least apologized, not that it was his fault. Sadly, the pretzels weren't worth the wait. They are basically salted breadsticks. :( The Tillamook beer cheese sauce for dipping was decent at least, but these pretzels were definitely not worth the calories. My partner had the beer sampler and enjoyed everything well enough. My Pom-Berry Cosmo was very tasty at least, and at $9.75, I would hope so. (Though it was $9.50 when the bill came.) We also decided to give the chocolate cupcake dessert a try, though we were worried we would be in for another long wait. Luckily, the cupcake didn't take long. However it, too, was not the best. I'm still not sure whether it was ice cream on top or very solid whipped cream, but either way it was kind of terrible. I thought I'd give this place a try despite the other poor reviews but I should have heeded their warnings. I won't be coming back here. Go to the Tap House next door. Much better food for similar prices. Drinks are comparable.

I was very disappointed by my experience here. I went with a few friends for trivia night. We first called ahead to ask when it started. We were told 9:30, so we arrived at 9:15 to learn it had started at 9. Oh well, we decided to hang out upstairs and play anyway. The experience only got worst when I started dealing with the bartender. He was extremely rude and made me want to leave at that point. I wish I would have gotten his name, but did not. We ended up staying around to have a couple drinks and some food. That part of the restaurant was above average. The atmosphere was nice, what I would expect for a brewery in Bellevue, but it was overshadowed by their horrible bartender. Also, they only had one waitress for the entire upstairs when it was full for trivia, so we rarely got checked on. Oh well, now I have one less place in Bellevue to eat.

Usually Rock Bottom is somewhere we can take our 2 year old, watch some sports, have a nice meal and not worry about the kid being too loud for the atmosphere. Last night was a different story. The host sat us in the back next to a 33 top (we counted), and our section was completely full, while the front of the house was half empty. We put in our order, before the huge table, but it still took 25 minutes to get our food. When my boyfriend enchiladas came, they had NO CHEESE on them (Huh?!) and my turkey burger was cold! So I sent my burger back, my boyfriend too hungry to send his back, and waited. Another. 15. Minutes. By then my son had finished his food and was getting cranky. We had been there now for over an hour. While my son and boyfriend went into the bathroom (which apparently was disgusting and had feces on the floor), I told another waitress , since ours was MIA, that we wanted the check and were leaving. The sous chef came over and comped our whole check and sent us home with food, which was nice of him. But when we got home THAT food was even the wrong, and it wasn't even good!! Previously we've had good experiences there, but haven't been in about a year. This time I'm not sure we'll be back, even though we have a gift certificate to use.

Summer ale and beef nachos - such a satisfying meal! Wish we would've been allowed to sit outside since I had my dogs but we couldn't since it wasn't officially nice enough to open up the outside seating area.

I came here a couple of weeks ago to do trivia with some friends. I'd never been here before, but it was super easy to find. Once inside, I discovered that the restaurant is surprisingly huge. Unfortunately, despite it's size, it feels a bit cramped. It's also kind of loud - especially in the upstairs area with the trivia - but manageable. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I just stuck with a soda. I thought about ordering food, but prices seemed a bit high. The waitress was nice and gave me my soda for free. However, we had a lot of trouble tracking down our waitress for additional drinks and the checks, even though we were seated really close to the employee work station. I'd come back here for trivia again, but I doubt I'd buy food.

Rock bottom is easily one of my favorite places to go. If you don't have a rock bottom card I highly recommend you grab one from your server. You will always get discounts if you go somewhat often enough. The servers are always so friendly and inform us on what is happening. My favorite is the Hop Bomb if you like iPAs. The seasonal a are always fun to try as well. Overall, the atmosphere is is relaxed. Btw if you like nachos, theirs are phenomenal!! My fav :)

Been here a few times. Been good. Been here for lunches and for Happy Hour. I was skeptical about the Pretzel Sticks and now I'm addicted. Burgers have been good - however their "Just Hot Enough Burger" was not hot enough for me. My boyfriend had their "Laredo Burger" and I thought it tasted better. Their Mac 'n Cheese was great. The Quesadilla was good. Staff has been friendly. Make sure to get your parking Validated!!!

Overall it was a good experience, good food but the service was lacking. When I say, "I would like a bacon cheese burger with just meat, cheese, and bacon, no sauce, no condiments" then I don't want your jalapeño mayonnaise on my burger. That happened all 5 times I was there (I went there a lot because I was working at the 5th avenue at the time). They need better listening.

This place is pretty cool. House beers are pretty good, I usually stick to the white ale. The restaurant itself is huge with a really nice atmosphere. I really like the look and feel of the place. Food is pretty decent, fries could be better. What I like is even if the Taphouse is packed to the gills, Rock Bottom always has a seat open at the bar.

Only lost a star because their IPA's suck. 60IBU is all you got? that's nuts. The food is good but not great. Lots of beer to taste. Everyone is very friendly and the staff is fast. I will go back whenever I'm in the area .

I thought the jalapeño sirloin was really good !! I went for the beer sampler but next time I'll just do the white ale. Awesome sides and perfect portion and reasonable price. The service was perfect. I think make sure you don't walk in and sit to the right side. Seems to be a dead zone for service and the waiter actually warned us not to sit there !

The beer is amazing, the food is good...but the service is pitiful! I was served a beer 20 minutes ago and I have been trying to get the waitress to take my Happy Hour order, but she keeps passing by me like I don't exist. I have tried to get her attention, but apparently sipping her drink at the bar with the other staff is more important. :-( Disappointed.

I am not one to write reviews but thought I'd spare a lot of you your time, frustration and hard earned money. Went to rock bottom on a Friday night with a group of five of us and sat upstairs in the bar area. I had ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium and a chicken dish of some sort with beer gravy and mashed potatoes with vegetables. Another friend order fish and chips and I can't remember the others. It had taken about 45 mins to receive food and with very very rare appearances from our waitress. Way too long of a wait when it didn't appear to be very busy in the restaurant. The service was very very poor and inattentive. When I did receive my food, the chicken dish had to be the blandest food I had ever eaten. The steak was horribly burnt and overcooked and was supposed to come with mashed potatoes but somehow ended up with a pile of onion rings that I didn't ask for and I got charged for it too. I've been to rock bottom many times before and never had issues. Another friend who ordered their fish and chips said their food was Luke warm. When a friend ordered dessert, the waitress shows up 15 mins later and says there are no more brownies and hands him his check. Why does it take 15 minutes to relay that information?? Sad to say I will never ever be coming back. To top it off, as soon as I get home I had horrible upset stomach and "the runs". It was not pretty. Suggestion: hire more helpful staff, have better communication and taste the food you're serving. Have some sort of quality control standard for the products you deliver to your customers.

Went with the ribs and shouldn't have. Seems like pigs must be getting smaller if the size of a full rack is any indication. These are more a dry rub startle, but I added BBQ sauce on the side, which was actually pretty good. Had a nice bite to it. Ribs were overlooked and crispy, but Because there almost no meat on these bones it would have been challenging to cook. Fries were small, hard, and limited portion. My son had pizza which he said was fantastic. Beers are unremarkable. The IPA had no hop bite at all and no distinctive flavor. The imperial hopbomp had some hop bite but was weak at only 6.8 abv and 70 IBUs. Service was really lacking on this visit even though it wasn't busy at all. Good happy hour deals here though.

Used to LOVE this place.. Went on Sunday with my Wife, sister and her two teenagers ..2:00pm , practically not a soul in the place. However, even though nearly empty, we get seated next to a family with 4 toddlers who were running amok all over the place.. I guess it makes it easier for the servers but doesn't really make for a nice experience for the customer... The food was so lame, I ordered the special Chili Cheddar Burger that was supposed to be covered with their famous 3 alarm chili .. There was practically zero chili on it and about 12 French fries. Nothing says we just don't give a s**t when the place is practically empty and they still can't make a simple order seem anything like what they show on the menu. My niece ordered the root beer , which came completely flat and unmixed so it looked like water with a little pool of brownish liquid on top. This place used to have the best food for a chain , great service, cool vibe to it.... Just completely lame, especially when there are so many other choices around. Rock Bottom has hit Rock Bottom.

No thanks. Every time I've been here there seems to be hardly anyone in the joint -- I should have taken that as a bad sign the first few times I ended up here but I didn't. The service is always off -- either we get no attention and a mediocre attitude or one person in the group gets all the attention while the rest just get pissed off. The last beer I had was a red. I didn't finish half of it, and the food is not memorable in the slightest. As the lesser of two evils, you're better off going to Taphouse next door, at least you have the option to *not* have a Rock Bottom brew there.

I had an awesome time here with my wife and son. We had huge burgers that were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had their beer sampler and enjoyed every one. We had a great waitress who made our experience very pleasant. I was also impressed with the children's meal that came out. It may have been one of the best I've ever seen for the price. I will be going back. Highly Recommended.

I kind of swore off Rock Bottom establishments when I was in San Diego, but gave this a shot anyway and it isn't as horrible as I remembered the chain to be. Yes, the food is somewhat overpriced and is definitely regular bar fare, but they do have a good selection of beer and even a house root beer. The snacks are fairly regular and honestly probably only worth it if present during happy hour. The service is sort of hit and miss, seeming better at tables than in the bar area. Overall, a good place to go with a big group of people who just want to unwind a bit and maybe have a small bite to eat.

Awesome service. Ask for Jordan! She's fun, welcoming, and very knowledgable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. The red ale beer was excellent! Service was prompt. For desert get the donut holes. Omfg! Soooo good. Great atmosphere and a neat place to come to after a stressful day.

My previous review gave RB four stars, mainly since they had such a great rewards club that they called the Mug Club and for the head brewmaster that brewed some really good beer. Unfortunately, they got rid of both. Brian no longer works there, and they completely eliminated the Mug Club and replaced it with another loyalty program. Ironically, all the 'loyalty' built up in the previous club is no longer valid and you have to start completely fresh with the new one. The nice thing is that they still provide 20 ounce mugs, but having to start completely fresh without some of the great rewards is a bummer. They also still have good happy hours, although even those aren't as good as they used to be. I'm still giving it three stars since I love the upstairs bar, but even that is closed for private events frequently during the holidays.

I came here the other night with a couple friends and I have to say that I really enjoyed it! We came on a Friday night around 6:30 and It was nice to go somewhere in Bellevue where the wait wasn't going to be 40 minutes. My friends had the pretzel sticks and seemed to enjoy them and the service was prompt as well. Total for 5 drinks and the food was about $42 - pretty good for Bellevue.....It was crappy outside, but I think they might have outdoor seating. I have heard they do live music and trivia also.....I will be back!

I liked that this place was open late. We ordered beer and nachos due to limited choices for a vegetarian. They ran out of veggie burgers. My beer ended up coming with an eyelash in it, the waitress didn't come back for at least 15 minutes to check on us before I could send it back. Then the nachos came with almost no cheese and slightly crisp. I found this place to have mediocre beer and poor service. My husbands burger and beer was okay, so if I could give this 2.5 stars I would. Maybe they were having an off night... I wouldn't rule this place out, but it's not a top choice by any means.

A good place for some beer and bar food, but the selection of beer here is really lacking. I know they serve their own brewed beer, but their beer is okay. The food is also okay. I've had the fish and chips, which are nothing to write home about. I've also tried their Tuscan chicken pasta, and it was pretty disappointing. It was very bland. But, this is a fun place to hang out, and sometimes they have karaoke upstairs (and I do love my karaoke).

The beer and the main course dishes were pretty darn good. Can't complain. My rating is based on the terrifyingly bad dessert that I was served. The White Chocolate Banana Cream Pie was one of the worst desserts that I have ever eaten. I'm not quite sure how it even got on the menu. It was bland, uninspired, and consisted of 50 percent, tasteless crust. Ewwww. Do yourself a favor. Enjoy the beer. Enjoy your entree. Go somewhere else for dessert.

I'm only sucked in to going to this place because i work pretty close to it and i know the menu like the back of my hand for take out orders. This is one of the only places i tend to not tip on a take out order because SOMETHING is always wrong. That's just what i have to deal with when i order from here. The food isn't anything spectacular but it's edible and not too pricey. Luckily they have new hostesses because the ones a few months ago had no customer service, i could hear their frowns and annoyance through the phone when i would call to order. But for now, there are friendly smiling faces once you walk through the doors. Great place to catch a football game. It has a big bar with a lot of seating with an extra area upstairs just in case the bar downstairs is occupied and a TV within any direction you are sitting.

Do you ever watch the show "restaurant impossible"? I think Robert Irvine would walk in here and immediately look at the floor and say this carpet has got to go. He would also say that he hates the decor, some of which is very dated! For example, some of the decor like the art work hanging in random areas just appears to be out of place. On the other hand, the rest of the decor, such as the brewery symbolism and equipment like the fermentation chambers on the second floor are ideally what I would want to see at a brewery, even if it is a chain. The food is decent and reminiscent of your typical casual dining restaurant. I ate a turkey burger with a side salad in lieu of fries. The beer is a typical representation of american ales with a single seasonal option, an IPA, a Red, a White, a Brown and a Dark. I had a Red Ale, which was good and served correctly in an imperial 20oz pint glass. The waitstaff and hostesses are nice, helpful and know the menu. Parking is in the garage under Rock Bottom. They validate for up to 4 hours.

The Rock Bottom in Bellevue is still kind of a secret. Few realize they serve their own beer (don't forget award-winning), have a ridiculous happy hour and oh yea...great service! $2 beer Tuesday 4pm-9pm Exactly when you need beer! I suggest the Hop Bomb :)

Sorry guys -- stale menu and average beer. It's fitting that Rock Bottom is near California Pizza Kitchen and PF Changs... corporate, gut busting plates without a lot of creativity and thought. I always appreciate locally brewed beers, but this place just didn't catch me. The staff were friendly and vibe was OK, but other than needing a joint to watch 5 NFL games at one time, I don't see the need to go back.

My favorite thing about this place is the beer. It's fresh and tasty. The food is standard bar food decent but nothing special. We like the soft pretzels with spinach dip. Trivia night upstairs is fun. And the happy hour is worth it.

Pros: *Portions - I ordered the hazelnut crusted chicken, which filled a majority of the plate, with a beer that made me pretty full Cons: * Service - The server had an attitude all night, when the waitress came and asked for our order, she "what do you guys want?" and starts slapping the menu in her hand in the gesture of "hurry it up, you're wasting my time." Sorry, but doing that kinda $hit is just outright rude, we already decided on what we wanted to eat the second we got the menu. Also we only asked for a side of ranch and a knife and the girl spoke to us in a tone that implied that she was doing us a favour * Drinks - Beers have no body in the flavor, only the Oatmeal Stout is decent *Food - The hazelnut chicken I ordered came with white cheddar mash potatoes (decent) and I subbed the steamed veggies for a side of slaw (decent); unfortunately the chicken was a bit on the odd side, I wasn't sure if the texture/chewiness was either from the chicken or the ingredients used for the crust but it felt like the food was sticking to my molars like if I was chewing on gum paste. Also the chicken itself did not have much taste other than making me believe that the chicken was just old and not reasonably fresh Would I recommend this place to my friends & co-workers? Hellllllzzzzzzzz...... no, absolutely not, even with mediocre/standard food I believe service is huge key. Then considering that the entrée was about $14 I would've hoped that it would turn out better than what I experienced. I mean when the sides taste pretty standard your main piece of the meal should far exceed the sides in terms of taste & quality. Sadly this did not happen. Rock Bottom you are truly heading rock bottom *rimshot*

This place could potentially get me back to Bellevue on a Saturday night. I'm pretty devoted to the West Side and the South End, reserving downtown Bellevue only for the random work conference that pops up at the Hyatt now and then. Thus, when co-workers wanted to go out to see a friend's band at Rock Bottom last night, I was filled with a mixture of trepidation and curiosity. We sat upstairs, which ended up being packed. Our server Ty was very pleasant, though understandably he became harder to flag down as the room filled. The band was playing 80s/90s rock that transported me right back to a Kappa Sigma party circa 1995. Awesome. Lots of folks were up and dancing, while others played darts, pool, and socialized. It was definitely an eclectic crowd with a variety of ages and styles represented. I honestly was shocked at the enormous size of the dinner portions! $14.50 got me a platter of mac & cheese with shredded chicken as well as a generous starter salad. I could have done without the raisins in my salad, but otherwise I thought the food was pretty good. I liked that they used cavatappi rather than elbows or penne for the pasta. After eating probably 2/3 of my salad and 1/2 my pasta I was stuffed...took home a nice full take-out box of noodles for later. In equal abundance were my friends' entree salad and burgers. Everything's bigger in Bellevue, apparently! Another nice Eastside perk was the parking, which turned out to be free at Bellevue Galleria. Apparently Rock Bottom validates for 4 hours of parking, but after a certain time the garage just opens up the gates altogether. We arrived at around 7 pm and left at midnight, with nary a cent spent to park!

I needed somewhere that I could walk to for dinner so I thought I'd give Rock Bottom a shot. It's right by Tap House and looks like it serves about the same demographics and style of food. They fancy themselves a brewpub so I was not expecting a huge selection like at Tap House since they brew their own. So I give their house Coconut Porter a try while looking over the menu. It's not bad and there is just a hint of coconut. Very drinkable but nothing outstanding. Nothing on the menu really catches my eye so I go with the burger. I decide on the Kobe beef burger since it's only a couple bucks more plus I'm on an expense account. I'm sitting at the bar since I'm alone and the bartender is friendly enough and prompt. I order the burger from him but he forgets to ask me how I'd like it cooked and it slips my mind until it's almost time for it to come out so I let it slide. Luckily it was not burnt. I get their Red Ale to go with my burger. The burger like the beer was nothing special. That's really all I can say about it. I didn't have an issue with the service, the place was clean, the beer was fine and it's fairly reasonable priced. It's just nothing ever stuck out for me to make me have the desire to go out of my way to come back. There is free wi-fi so it's good to grab a beer, some wings and surf the net if other places around are full.

My bf & I got a gift certificate for Rock Bottom, and were delighted that it was also a brewery. The interior is suited for those sports fanatics, with many TVs around the 1st floor, opted to play your favorite sporting program. From bball, poker, football, etc. There are two floors. I didn't get a chance to check out the second floor, but it looked way more packed, because there was a live band playing! I loved hearing it! They were singing songs from Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" to Coldplay. Beware if you are wearing heels! I almost slipped on the hardwood floors walking to the restroom. The floors are a little slippery, so watch your step. Service-wise...wasn't that great. We did get seated promptly, since there was no wait, nor did it look busy on a Saturday night. But, our waiter took forever. In which, the hostess had to sub in for her in the beginning, taking our drink orders. I first got the pomogranate cosmo. (because I am girly, and thought it would be good!) When it arrived, it LOOKED delicious. Buuut, taste was another thing. Super watered down, and was like vitamin water. I was disappointed..that was $10.50! As a result, stay away from their cocktails!!! (They have a small selection, anyway.) I know I needed to try beer instead..all the way. So, we got the beer sampler. That was great-there was about 7 different types, ranging from light to dark. (check out pics!) That was more like it! Our meals were so-so. Nothing different or special. I got the prime rib, in which the waiter asked me how I would like it cooked-I said medium-well. Except then she replied that they can only make it pink regardless. Huh? Okay...Anyway, it was alright. A few califlowers and broccoli as my veggies on the side, and a small helping of mashed potatoes. Nahhh....not that great. We got the caramel cheesecake for dessert. It was okay, definitely flavorful and sweet. Otherwise, their dessert menu is typical ice cream/cheesecake options. We ended up staying for over 2 hrs...not necessary...especially when I looked over to see our waiter chit-chatting with other customers, when she should have been getting our orders on the way!

The Rock Bottom specializes in rib sticking food. If you are looking for something healthy and light, something under a thousand calories, you need to search elsewhere for The Rock's best is in their fried chicken, their hearty steaks, their gianormous entrees heaped high with sides of starches and carbs that would make an Atkins follower faint. Yet, it will leave you warm in the belly as you slip into a food coma. The servers are patient, friendly, and tolerant. I say tolerant as I have never seen them so much as raise an eyebrow when my near drunken friends request to have the bill divided and redivided as they argue over who is paying for who. They are quick and courteous. I can't speak to their beers as I am not a beer drinker, I go to the Rock for the food coma and the fact that it is a good place for large groups. I have had their sangria before and they serve it in the smallest glass I've seen for a sangria, so that's my only complaint.

2 stars- service 3stars- food 5- their short lived seasonal pumpkin ale. A few times my service has been awesome but usually I have really poor service here. The last particular time was what has really left a bad taste in my mouth for service. It was last Saturday and we went to go sit upstairs. As I was sitting, I saw a band was about to play and since I was having a migraine, decided to be blasted by direct music may not be the best idea. SO...we asked to be moved down. Our waiter was so rude about this simple request. We were going to pay for our beers, tip him a few bucks and then move downstairs to eat. He 1) bad mouthed us to the bartender 2) purposely didn't get us our change back and made us wait nearly 10 minutes before we just left no tip and went downstairs 3) continued to look over the railing and glare at us mean for our entire meal. We wanted to tip you, relax and we are customers so HOW ABOUT BE NICE? Then...we went downstairs and had horrible service yet once again by someone who clearly doesn't care about her customers. All the times I have been here, I see too many employees and all of them just standing around and socializing. It's really disappointing when you have good beer, good food and crappy service. If I'm spending 20-30 bucks on food and beer-- I want good service. Bottom line. The food here is good for the most part! What's good: ahi tuna salad, their pizzas, any chicken sandwich, their dinner salads are bomb because it come with pine nuts and real veggies and is HUGE. Their burgers are just okay. One night we all had a burger and the only person that was happy with theirs was the vegetarian. So that's good to know for future reference, I do like a good veggie burger. Other perks: they have soybean crayons for kids and the crowd is nice and laid-back which is a treat for Bellevue.

Came for Lunch on a Saturday. Took the Fried Calamari and the Angus beef burger. I ordered the burger medium and got it over burnt! The waitress got me another one without any difficulties. However the food was just average and the IPA beer was by far too bitter. Desapointed.

I haven't been here in a while, but when I was living in Seattle, it was one of my favorite haunts. Right above them was the Regal Cinemas, and you could always get a great Blonde ale and wonderful bar food, and head up to watch a movie. Definitely one of those great hangout areas for the over 21 scene. Not sure whether or not the food has changed but if you're into microbrews, this is one of the better places imho.

Um...ew. Okay that was rude, especially considering the service started off decent but ended up pretty negligent. We could have left without paying. I don't get that - don't you want our money? Bring the bill. Enough of that, let's talk about the real stuff. Zero out of 5 of us liked the beer here. Also, they have rather large labels from their "previous" line of beers posted behind the bartender. When we tried to order one of them, we got scoffed at. I'm sorry how STUPID of us not to realize that the GIANT ADVERTISED BEERS BEHIND YOUR BARTENDER ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Thankfully the city is blessed with many other breweries that I have yet to discover. Rock bottom - hmmm...the irony.

The pizzas are really good, and their beer selection is nothing to blow your nose at either. The occasional game tournament is always fun as well. Get their club card for extra benefits.

Came back here with a few friends and just felt gross. When we sat down, the table was really sticky. It was like they had wiped down the table with a rag that they had used to clean up an entire soda that spilled. The service was good and friendly, but I was so disappointed in the quality of everything. It took 3 tries for the lemonade before I actually got one that wasn't watered down. I hate complaining at restaurants and usually don't, but I guess the pump was disconnected or something...oh well. The food was just so-so. I had a caesar salad with blackened salmon. The salmon was sliced super thin so it didn't feel like there was much meat on it. The caesar was very heavily dressed and I suppose adequate for a caesar...but nothing special. Thank god for good company distracting me, otherwise I would have been much more upset by this experience than noted.

I like coming to the Rock Bottom - the food is good, the beer is original, and the live entertainment weekly is fun. The only real draw-back is that the resturant is so popular, it fills up quickly and gets rather loud

There is just something about this place that really doesn't do it for me. Yeah- they have good drink prices but I really rather be somewhere else each time I come here. It's a depressing place.

I'm not really a fan of the Rock Bottom Brewery in Portland but we met friends at the Bellevue one and once again it was average at best. We ordered the jalapeno dip and I think it was just velveeta melted in a bowl with some jalapenos and salsa on top. Not what I'd call good.

I went to the Rock Bottom on a Friday after work for happy hour, so wasn't suppressed that they were pretty busy. We sat over on the side with the bar, and the co-workers who arrived first already had their drinks. When the waiter came back around, I order a beer and waited. Much later he came back to check on us, at which point I reminded him of the beer, he forgot. He apologized and eventually brought it. They brew there own, and I was satisfied with the quality. We also ordered some appetizers, which were pretty good and well priced, even though they also took a while. As the evening went on, I ordered a second beer, that he never brought. After that, and as I was getting ready to leave, I ordered a water. He also never brought the water. One of my co-workers, who also happed to be a cute blond seemed to get better attention from him, so I eventually had her order a water for me. I asked for my check when he brought her the water. He came back to the tables around us a few times, and never stopped to drop off my check. Eventually I had to have the cute blond get that as well. And eventually had to just give her the money and pay my bill with cash. I easily could have walked out, since he never actually took my credit card to start the tab. And probably would have if it weren't for the being out with co-workers. And before anyone says anything, yes I was nice to the guy. There was no reason for the bad service, which seemed totally random to the multiple tables we were at in the bar area. I'm going to assume the crappy service was a one time thing, but first impressions are important ones. Especially when right next door is The Tap House.

I like this place. I had my birthday here one year and it was great. The food was awesome and so was the customer service. They have karaoke some nights which is pretty cool. A few of my friends had their bday parties here as well shortly after mine. The food and the whole experience was great

CAVEAT: since i live in Seattle, i only go when they have The About Face Band upstairs. nothing better than a band doing your favorite classic rock songs upstairs in a hidden area with beers on tap. free parking is good. no cover charge is awesome. but these guys know how to play the songs really well. as a musician friend of mine told me, they are TIGHT. i had a few of the lightest on tap beer. there was some sort of verbal altercation with the upstairs female bartender with 2 patrons when i walked up. it took some time for her to get my beer order b/c of it. she was perfectly nice and professional to me, but there was definitely some tension in the air with the 2 gents. one was piss drunk. it happens.

Rock Bottom, I know you're a chain with mediocre beer, but you saved my life when I was tired and hungry as hell. That patty melt and salad was just what I needed. The icy cold one hit the spot. Thanks. I'm giving you a 4 star review just for being there when I needed you...and for not sucking.

Rock bottom is a large nationwide chain. I do not consider the beers here to be of high quality, but it is adequate and much better than your average MGD. The place is divided into a regular bar and dining area downstairs: the same set up you see everywhere. The food is your typical American stuff and pretty mediocre. There's an upstairs bar area, with a pool table, a stage, and some big TVs. This is where the magic happens. We goto the Bellevue location quite often, despite all its failings because... 1) $2 beers on Sunday nights, best deal in Bellevue 2) Live music on Fridays and Saturdays. It's hit or miss, but it can be pretty good. 3) M y friends and I are addicted to the Photo Hunt game at the bar

I've been here once before with several girlfriends for happy hour and it was decent. Not much to complain at the time. This visit for lunch was probably my last ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SERVICE. Our waitress, which I thought about calling her out but I will be nice and not mention the name, needs to wear a watch and hustle faster. Not only did it take a little longer than "normal" to get our waters but it took 20 minutes to get our food!! WTH! How long does a salad and burger take to cook?!? The burger was not even hot and the fries were lukewarm. Being this was during my lunch hour, we had to scarf our food down and have our card already out before she came by with our check. The restaurant was not even busy and she did not have many tables so that fact she was not on the floor checking up on her customers shows her attitude towards her job. The food was okay. I really liked the Wedge salad I ordered and for $6.50 it filled me up. However the Firecracker Shrimp $9.95 was very disappointing. I try to order this dish at every restaurant that has a version of it and Rock Bottom's was not worth the money. When deciding whether I would come back, service and experience count for half and at this point, I'd rather go somewhere else where I'm taken cared of as a customer.

If your friends suggest you all go here, run. They are not your friends. They probably want you to choke on the burnt husk of a nacho splinter and die. Kick them in the throat and run like your feet are on fire. It is a bad chain place. Bad. How can you mess up nachos? They found a way! They were burnt, and the size of the tray they brought it out on blew my mind. It's supposed to be an appetizer, not feed a family of 5. The salsa was not spicy and felt like it was poured out of a jar. I'd rather eat Pace Picante. YUCK. I ordered the chicken fried chicken, and while the portion is huge, it was overcooked and the chicken was dry and flavorless. This is what I would expect from a place that has a 4 page menu. How can you be REALLY good at a particular dish if you are making pasta, Mexican food, BBQ AND American-hodgepodge? The service was ok, though the wait staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. I have to be honest, I feel really bad that I'm getting to a point where I just can't stomach the nonsense at most chain restaurants, and that goes for both service and fare. To top it off, my boyfriend and I were both sick the rest of the night. It was NOT a good dinner.

If you're looking for happy hour food at midnight in Bellevue come here. All starters are $5 and pizzas are $7. Beers and house wines are on happy hour. Their martini's and cocktails don't have prices on them, but they are pretty pricey! We were shocked to see that our Cosmo was $9! We also ordered their beer sampler, it had 6 different 2 oz. glasses almost full to the rim. The food quality is apple bee's quality, not fantastic, and def. only a last resort place. Friday nights are apparently karaoke night, so look forward to bad singing with your mediocre food. Friendly Service, Cheap food, Mediocre Quality.

The food here is decent, and they have some good deals on beer if you come in on Tuesdays and join their club. (I'm not much of a beer drinker myself, but for a good price, I don't mind it). Last time we went, I heard there was a long wait to sit outside from someone else in our party and the wait time sounded a bit ridiculous, but sitting in the bar wasn't too bad. It can be a little loud and crowded, but hey, that's expected when you sit in the bar during happy hour :)

The beer was good. The food was average at best. The waitress service was manic; at times it seemed that our waitress was angry that we were ordering beer. It left us fairly confused.

Wandered in on a Sunday afternoon with some friends, took a seat at the bar, and gazed at their menu. I finally decided on their Red (forgot the name, sorry) and it was good, not something I'd get again though, but not horrible. Katie was our bartender, she was super nice and helpful! She let us know about the Mug Club and how you get this free card and points everytime you come. Pretty awesome. Also another thing that is awesome... $2 pints. Yeah, I said it. Every Tuesday between certain hours and all day on Sundays all pints are $2. So when you want to get your drink-on, Rock Bottom is very affordable (and tasty!)

This place is GREAT! My friends and I go every Wednesday for the Geeks who Drink trivia night. It's so much fun, everyone gets competitive but stays friendly, rowdy without being obnoxious. A great blend of enthusiasm and respect! The guy doing the trivia is fair and funny. Good times! Their food is really good, and the happy hour specials are good! I'm a big fan of the buffalo wings and the pretzels. The waitstaff are fast and attentive too, our girl already knows our drinks and keeps my diet coke full. Every time we have gone has been a great night out!

I came here after the bar exam for our bar prep class after party. We had beer and wine provided, as well as pretzels. I didnt eat here so I cant talk about the food. The beer on the other hand was fantastic! I had the dark beer that goes on rotation. It was strong!

THE GOOD: Delivers consistent brewpub expectations for all types THE BAD: Big place, which often times has a wait?!??!! THE LOWDOWN: A good all around place for satisfying a crowd. Seems like there something for everyone. They have most types of beers that people want. The beers are nothing to write home about and neither is the food, but neither are so bad that I wouldn't go back. Just MEH.... If its crowed and theres a wait, sit at the bar, usually no wait and fast service.

Rock Bottom has been a favorite Happy Hour spot for my friends and co-workers for about 2 years now. We have always had a great time drinking and eating and gaining a few extra pounds by scarfing down RB's nachos. The drink prices for HH were always good, but recently RB changed their HH and I have to say that I am not at all impressed. It's not poor enough to keep me from coming back, but the pints are now only $1 off and their food menu is... well, it's not what it used to be. I've also noticed they seem to be short staffed in the bar area during HH, so it can take a while to get your order (not to mention the staff is usually totally stressed!). RB is a great place if you want to experience a more relaxed atmosphere in he hoity-toity city of Bellevue, but if they keep making these types of changed, I'm not sure if the ambience is enough to keep me coming back!

Another HH joint I tried. Service sucked and their beer tasted like piss. (I know beer tastes like piss but theirs was really bad. jk) And food? I will never eat there again. I order a Reuben sandwich and what I got didn't even look like it. And I got so sick afterward. Yikes. Maybe it was piss I drank and not the sandwich. Anyway, I am not impressed at all and I never hosted another HH here again.

For the overall value, you get decent bar food, decent beer, and decent pricing. However, for where its located and having a bunch of TVs, a pool table, darts, and tons of seating (outdoor available too), I definitely give it a 4 star rating. Its actually my go-to place in all of Bellevue considering the selection available. Hint: free parking w/ validation, join the mug club and go on Tuesdays for specials, Happy Hour rocks. Favorites: i prefer the lighter beer in recent years so I like the new Kolsch. The White Ale is quite decent as well. As for food, the pretzels, pizza, nachos, burgers, basically everything is decent. Nothing spectacular but what I expect out of a bar. Disclaimer: I'm no bar food or beer expert but man I've been to many bars and had lots of beer and bar food. :)

The food is "okay" if you're looking to fill your stomach. However, their service (if you could call it that) was extremely questionable. We arrived in the late evening, expecting they'd know about our small group - considering one of us had reached out to their banquet manager a week or so before. Everybody was clueless. No matter, when a couple of us we found an area upstairs in which to gather, our waitress (who, I later discovered, had been there ALL day) seemed to be put off by the fact that we'd be bringing 20 potential-tip-weilding customers her direction. So, she took our drink order. When one of us asked for a blended margarita, the waitress's EXACT response is: "We don't have a blender here." To this, my friend replied: "Yes, you do - I was here the other day, and I had one." Caught in a mistruth, our waitress floundered: "We don't have one upstairs." You've. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me. So, instead of just taking the order and making the journey downstairs to fulfill her customer's order, the waitress initially communicated a would-be unquestionable "fact." Indeed, after a brief period of silence, my friend just suggested she (herself) would go downstairs and get one. WTF? Now, I admit that the "Spicy Spinach Cheese Dip" dip was quite remarkable - but even that wasn't enough to nudge me past a single-star review. I certainly hope management is trolling Yelp, and that they happened to catch my tweet out to 77,000 people when the waitress first pulled her stunt. I did NOT stiff the waitress, mind you. I figured this review on Yelp was enough. I won't be returning to Rock Bottom, because that's apparently who they hire to wait tables.

Came here thanks to a gift card from a friend of mine .. We were not expecting much so maybe that's why I was pleasantly surprised! We started with the guac trio - it was okay. I probably wouldnt order it again. For dinner, I ordered the Mac & Chicken with an amber ale and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with the Hop Bomb IPA - yummmmm! The food was so good!! Big portions and everything was cooked very well with lots of flavor! The beers were decent, but again, we weren't expecting much from a corporate brewery .. Much better than other corporate breweries we have been to! We will definitely come back here!

If you are coming in, check out the happy hour! The food is just okay, but at these prices you really can't complain too much. Standard fare throughout the menu, and everything is palatable, but regrettably, nothing stands out. It's too bad because this location is much better then Seattle since parking is so easy to find.

I'm not sure why I continuously get talked into coming back here. The service is not so great, and the food it mediocre. The mac and cheese is too oily/ greasy and left me feeling like I was going to throw up. The burgers are nothing special.

If you want an award winning IPA you have to try the Hop Bomb. A few of these mothers will make your head explode...both of them. The other beers are too wimpy for my taste, but some people like wimps. The food doesn't do it for me. It isn't anything that will blow your mind or make you fantasize about it a week later like the one night stand you had last month. And forget about her, she ain't coming back for seconds. Service can be on the slooooooow side at times. I was there once, sitting at the bar, minding my own goddamn business, thirsty for a beer, it's there, I know it, I can see the giant monster steel drums filled with gallons of yellow liquid love but the two bartenders....yeah two....were busy chatting up two very attractive ladies. I coughed, belched, and farted to get their attention, nothin honey. I decided to see how long before they'd notice a beer thirsty whore like me at their bar. Three minutes pass, five, seven, nine (wtf?). At 11 minutes and twenty two seconds I said, "F-it." I got up walked to the upstairs bar. I wasn't giving up on the beer its just that those dudes needed to get laid, more than I needed a beer. Upstairs, I told the bartender about my adventure downstairs. She got pissed made a phone call, came back and said, sorry for that, beer is on us tonight. NICE. The Rock gets an A for effort on entertainment. They try. Live music on Saturday nights. Check it out. 22 onces of beer for $2 on Tuesdays. Best deal in town.

Two dollar beers on Sundays? A deal if I ever heard of one! The bf and his buddies wanted to come here for a bday dinner (yes, to Rockbottom) and I was invited along. I hadn't been here in forever, so I decided... why not. I got the pumpkin beer. This pumpkin beer is delicious (I was actually surprised by how good it was). The table got a couple orders of the pretzels, which were tasty... but pretzels dipped in cheese isn't rocket science. I ordered a club sandwich which Matt ended up eating most of. It was pretty bland and flavorless. Everyone else seemed to really like their food. Our service was fantastic as was the beer. For that, I will give it 4 stars.

The food was ok but considering how cheap it could get at happy hour prices; I can't really complain all that much at that point. The food really ranged depending on what you were getting. Nothing there really stood out and frankly reminded me of something you could get at Applebee's but maybe just a step up. The drinks they make could be pretty stiff but what really caught my attention are their beers. The house brewed ales are pretty good, not top notch but middle of the road. Pretty much to sum everything up; everything was literally A-OK. The prices are hard to beat at Happy Hour but otherwise this place seemed a bit too much like one of those chains you can find anywhere else...3 stars!

The beer is good...its a little crowded in the bar area. The food was weak. I had some seafood special recommendation that the waitress pushed on me. it wasn't that great. For seafood in the PNW you better be bringing it no matter what you are as far as I am concerned and it wasn't good. The beer on the other hand was a 4 stars.

When life gives you lemons visit the Rock Bottom Brewery! They saved the day on a moment's notice for a wedding rehearsal dinner on which a neighboring establishment failed to come through. Our party of 20 was welcomed with open arms and great customer service. The staff was understanding, efficient, and friendly. They even tried to help us show our special video presentation. It didn't work out, but management even contacted another nearby restaurant to see if they could help us! The beer--which is their own label--was great! I had a raspberry wheat. One of my favorites and I was not disappointed. Because of dietary restrictions I have limited food choices. On the waiter's recommendation I had the Shanghai Shrimp noodle dish. I ate it all! Every bite was a savory delight. Plenty of large shrimp with their tails on, not too spicy, and the right amount of crunch in the veggies balanced with the softness of the noodles that had soaked up the tangy Mongolian sauce. I was completely satisfied, but not stuffed beyond comfort. It was just right. Rock Bottom is a sports bar and even though there was a soccer game going on it wasn't too loud or raucous and didn't sour our wedding rehearsal dinner. The Rock Bottom Brewery helped us squeeze lemonade out of lemons! THANK YOU!!!

Came here on a Tuesday and it was packed (NBA playoff). Service was great! Our server was so nice and helpful. We ordered burgers mostly but also tried out their new menu. The tacos was pretty flavorful but the portion size was very very small. The fries were cold and stale. The waiter kindly brought has new fries but there were only okay for about 10 mins then also went cold and stale. :( The beer sampler was fun 4 little taster for $4. Would come back for the burgers and beer and hoping they will improve their fries.

Decent atmosphere, but the food is horrible. I wouldn't have gone here for my birthday if I wasn't too late on making reservations for Maggiano's Little Italy. My prime rib was hard and nasty. Friends' half-chicken was not good from what they said. A friend got a full rack of ribs and thought it was good though. I guess a lot of people do come here for their beer... the beers might be great, but definitely not the food. Don't come here expecting great food and everything on the menu to exist at the time. It was only 7:30pm and they ran out of prime ribs.

What's going on? This place is going down the tubes fast. Corporate needs to get their act together on a menu and deliver it well. My lunch choices were always the Brewers Club, Pasta Genovese, or Chicken Fried Chicken. They started switching up their fries, ditched the pasta, and used first a focaccia, then toast on the club. The club has also gotten smaller - is it because the calorie counts were turning people off? It's only kitty corner from my office, but I am staying away till things shake out.

Love the food and the beer! Chicken fried chicken and the ball park pretzels are amazing. Most of the time the servers are great...sit upstairs. Easy parking decent pricing.

Their happy hour is fantastic. Also they don't ever give you weird looks after sitting there for a couple of hours which is awesome. They brew their own beer and its really good. Also, they have great mixed drinks on their menu.

I went here on a Friday for lunch a few weeks ago. The restaurant wasn't too full but the service was pretty terrible. It took forever to get our food and when we got it, it was cold and looked like it had been sitting for a while. The manager (not the server) told us something about their ticketing system being down-- but I still don't get how that makes our food sit for a half hour. They gave us a free beer for our wait, which didn't really help considering I was taking a lunch break from work and didn't care to be drinking before I went back to work. Bottom line, this place would be good if I was just getting drinks-- if you want good food and can't be patient with their mess ups, I'd go somewhere else.

Expensive. Crowded. This place is aiiiiiight. If you're looking for a bar to watch a game, this would be an alright choice. The staff is friendly, but really, there are so many other alternatives out there that don't make this place unique. Even their selling point: the beer is merely alright. At least they validate parking and it's easily accessible from Lincoln Square.

This is strictly based on Happy Hour. AWESOME! Do you know that on Tuesdays they have 22oz micro brews for $2 from 3-9pm? Think I'm lying? I'm not. Yeah, I was surprised too. This has got to be one of the best happy hours beerwise in Bellevue, and it goes until 9pm. Not only is that awesome but their beers are excellent, my fav is the Hop Bomb because I enjoy a tasty hoppy IPA. Drink 3 and lay down a 10 spot, doesn't get much better than that and you're a good tipper.

Their happy hour nachos are AMAZING!!!!!!!! I'm vegetarian and am a nacho connouisseur (soudns crazy, I know). I can't tell you any other place where they lay a LARGE flat tray of chips singley layered and all covered with beans, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream and a chili seasoning! As I also HATE onions, they keep those off and their salsa is perfect for the onion hater! My boyfriend and I hop on by Mondays or Thursdays after we get off work (working in the industry ourselves) and it's nice to find a cheap place, open late nite, with a bartender who knows my nacho order! Thank you!!! I'd give it 4 stars, but they took off the ahi app that my boyfriend loved and he makes us go other places to get his meat fix. boo! But for my nachos....4 stars!!!!!

Everyone seemed happy around me. I guess because they didn't get Grease Fest 2009 (chicken enchiladas). The Ball Park pretzels were a fun idea. But I'm sure you can make something similar at home - I mean out of a box that you keep in your freezer that you got from Costco. I think it's an okay place to eat, but mostly you should go for the $2 beer on Sundays.

The following is a review of the bar scene upstairs rather than the actual dining area experience on the ground floor. For anyone who has been to the restaurant, there is an area upstairs separated from the main dining area on the ground floor which is a bit odd. Located upstairs, there is a bar with a dance floor and a large screen television probably for various sporting events. There is also a single pool table in the corner which is fairly decent as well as one or two oddly placed arcade machines in the opposite corner. Our group secured a table near the rear and were amused to find out that they had a ten o'clock evening happy hour on a Friday evening paired with what appeared to be karaoke with a collection of popular nineties music. As far as age, there seemed to be quite a diversity that ranged from a group of obviously recently legalized drinkers as well as who appeared to be one of the original Founding Fathers. If we were able to redo the evening, we would have hoped to arrive earlier so that we could have secured the area around the pool table rather than sitting at our cramped table. Also, as an afterthought, a pitcher is less cost effective than simply ordering four pints which is a bit odd.

We visited Rock Bottom on a weekend during a festival, so it was not a shock that it was busy. We sat outside and ordered our food, it took longer than expected to get our food and a couple next to our table got their food but no serve ware. We gave them our extra set.... All in all, the food is regular pub fare Red Robin-ish food. Good location if you want a quick bite and get a beer with friends after work. However, due to the location it is overpriced for the end product.

Faced with trying to arrange dinner within walking distance of Lincoln Square with a self-described picky eater who adheres mostly to American/pub food, I ended up here recently on a Friday night as a goodwill step before I attempt to figure out a better solution. I'd been here a few times before and I remember being disappointed - this visit was actually better. We arrived at around 8:10 and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table for 2, which was not bad for a place like this in this area - certainly much quicker than the nearby Factory of Cheesecakes or whatever they're about over there. After browsing the menu, we both opted for pizzas; I didn't try it, but my companion was pleased with the Pepperoni. I had the Chipotle Chicken BBQ. Pretty much what I would expect from a chain restaurant - decent, but no risks here. One minor irk was that they were sized slightly too small to share, but too large for either of us to eat individually and going out afterward meant abandoning the leftovers. Still, there is a large beer selection, and this seems like a perfectly safe place to have a co-worker gathering or those who fear non-American restaurants. Speaking of which, if anyone has a good idea for a food indoctrination program, let me know...

Went for dinner on a Wednesday night with family (including a 5 year old) and felt that it was an appropriate choice. The fish and chips were very tasty, especially the fish, due to the breading and the sauce on the side. The 5 year old ate all of her Mac and Cheese (it's always good when the kids actually finish their meals!), even though it looked like Kraft. I tried the red ale and it was good as well. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I would go back again.

It's really hard to rate this chain as really good or bad. Pretty much the only thing I can say is take the service, food quality, and layout..and rank the place somewhere between decent and good. THe only thing that woudl really stand out is the beer. Rock Bottom is a great place to go with some buds if you want some beer (i'm not a beer connoseiur but their beers are quite good) and some pub food. Although I will say last time I Had their fish and chips which were made from fresh fish (claimed) and not the frozen stuff...it was very tender...but then again given the amount of beer than went down..I could've ate Taco Bell and felt just as satisfied. But nonetheless Rock Bottom Brewery is a nice casual joint, especially if you plan to watch a movie afterwards at the Galleria. Or just want a place better than Red Robin after work for some beer and pub food. ~G

Good food, but they need to listen on the to go orders they mess up all the time. I ordered my lunch on my break got my food went back to work then realized they didn't give me my dressin what good is a salad without dressing, then got back to work and relazied they put items in my salad I specificly asked not to have. And the hostess was so rude when I asked for my dressing.

This review is specifically for the Bellevue location. This is my in-laws' go to spot so I have eaten here quite a bit. If I would have had Yelp several years ago I would have written a review sooner. We had not gone here in awhile and a recent trip reminded me of how well this place does it. I have sat in both the bar and the restaurant and have had above average service in both sections. The food has always been very good no matter what I order. I always leave happy and satisfied but I'm sure the beer has a little bit to do with that. Speaking of the beer it's pretty darn good too. If you don't believe me then you need to go try it. Have a burger while you're at it!

Wish I would have gone somewhere else for lunch. It seemed as if I was an inconvienence to be there. The hostess was incredibly rude. I asked her if they were open because it looked as if no one was in the place. She looked me up and down, rolled her eyes and with complete disdain said yes. The only bright spot was the fact that the server was nice. I will say this though, when he took my drink order he went back to the bar and played with his new iPhone for awhile before getting my drink. I used to prefer this over Tap House.

Went here last weekend for a birthday dinner..totally spaced about making reservations but we were able to grab a table for 8 in the bar since it was slow..started the evening off with a couple of there beers..picked a couple of random ones that they brew themselves..one was a lighter lager and the other was a pale ale..both were ok and would order again..after that we got a couple appetizers ranging from mac and cheese, shrimp, and i personally got the anitpasto app..the small version that is..it came with four slices of pita bread..two slices pepperoni..two slices of salami and some spreadable sharp cheddar cheese..with some salad on the side..the app was super small..it was a half of rhe normal size..but it was super tasty and great way to start the meal..next up was dinner..i got the 2 am burger and that was definitely a treat..it had hasbrown, cheese, bacon, burger and fried egg..yes a definitely heart attack awaiting..but it was very delicious and would definitely be eating that again if i went back..so overall food and drink did not dissapoint.. However service and the effort of the server would be about a D..i dont even know his name considering he probaboy didnt say anythin other than "u guys want some food"? No personality no interaction and looked as if he hated his job more than anyone i have ever known..on top of the unfriendly service our meals all came out seperate with no explanation as to why..one of the girls got her lettuce wraps a good 10 mins before the next person got theres..and some od the food came out cold for some people and like i said the waiter mentioned nothing to us as to why..obviously he could of cared less and so his tip definitely reflected that.. So overall food was good beer was good service was worse than what i get at jack in the box at 2 am..so will i be back maybe in a year or two..i dont see the point of getting crappy service when there are twenty other restaurants in bellevue dieing for ur service and willing to accomadate u..they definitelt need to clean there act up and maybe hire some people who have some sort of interpersonal skills..lack of judgrment by management id say...save ur time and eat somewhere people will take care of u..

In house brew is always a treat to have. Rock Bottom may not be the ultra "craft" brew some places have, but its never disappointed (ok, I don't like the Uberwit). Come on Tuesday nights for 2$ tall mugs. Also like that in the mug club, you get 10$ in club cash every 10 visits after 50.

    (4)
  • Linda T.

Great place for cheap happy hour beer and food! Of course that brings the crowd, so it gets pretty tight during happy hour later in the week. Their $2 mug club Tuesdays are the best deal and very difficult to land a comfortable spot at the bar. Their bar is pretty large, but it sucks when the upstairs bar is closed for an event. The service here is usually pretty good. The food is okay, not bad given the happy hour prices. I go with my co-workers pretty frequently; it's a solid spot when I'm itching for beer or a happy hour.

Well the name says it all. Rock Bottom. That is my opinion of the food here. I have been here for both a large work catered function as well as go away parties and lunches. Food always greasy and just not cooked with any form of care or love. Wings are stringy and dry, burger over cooked and dry, fries cold and greasy etc. I just never seem to score a hit. Even the beer is subpar. I dont know this place just seems to miss and never hit. I think you are better going next door to the Tap house. The food is much better and the beer? Well lemme tell you they got a lot to choose from. Skip this dog. Its marginally better than red robin. Well maybe not even that...

OMG, did I just get a horrible meal. Now, normally I like Rock Bottom. But today they were way, way off their game, like totally! First, the waiter basically explains how he wishes he was someplace else. Talk about great customer service! Takes my order and brings me my ice tea. Promises to get some lemon from the bar. I never get the lemon, like ever. Next, the meal shows up. I had ordered a medium burger with fruit on the side. The burger was like burnt, totally beyond well done. And the waiter had brought the fruit in a dish that tipped so that the juice ran down on the plate before I even got it. So the bottom of the bun was all damp and sticky and falling apart. I might have complained except the waiter disappeared until it was time to pay the check. Like if you can't handle cooking and selling decent food during off hours, close the freakin' kitchen! Can't cook and serve a burger? C'mon!

If your looking for good service for HH....RUN! Some friends and I met up for a colleagues b-day during Happy Hour. We sat outside on a nice sunny day. My problem was not so much with the food (its OK bar food) or the drinks, my problem was with our server. She spilled drinks on the b-day girl and me...twice. Not once did she apologize or bring napkins for me to wipe myself down with. I would like to add that all of us were dressed up to attend a conference later that evening. She would bring us the wrong drinks and then she NEVER cleared our table. We were having to stack our own dishes and bring them in ourselves to make room. I can understand if she was new or overwhelmed but at least say something. She walked around without a care in the world! Well...I won't be coming back! There are many other restaurants in Bellevue to give my Money!

Great atmosphere, nice beers, good food. I was here many times and would come again. A little bit slow service, but overall is pretty good. I like this location more then Seattle one - much easier to find a parking. My favorite beer three is Hop Bomb IPA. I surprised to see another IPA in the menu prepared in two styles. I have never had a chance before to try two same beers, but one usual and one cask conditioned - it was fun!

Roasting hot and lunch hour. The place was packed, but we still got seated within 5 minutes. It's been a while since I've checked out a Rock Bottom Brewery, not necessarily because I don't like the joint, but there are other more interesting places that I'd rather be. They had a decent menu selection. I chose the overnight marinated boneless shortribs served on a bed of mashed potatoes with mushrooms and roasted tomatoes. I expected the mushrooms and tomatoes to be side dishes, but they were incorporated in the marinade/gravy on the shortribs. Not a problem since they were both tasty, but the meat, although tender, was a little fatty. I certainly don't have a problem with fat, but I figure for the price I was paying they ought to give me a decent piece of meat as well as a little more of it. In any case, other than the slightly less than average portion, the fact that it was lukewarm rather than hot, and also that the potatoes were supposed to be somewhat cheesy, it was a decent lunch. Damn, now that I've written it down, it seems like I should be giving them one less star. The heat may be affecting my head. Well, there was also the sesame crusted salmon sandwich that my friend got which looked pretty appetizing. The fruit salad it came with wasn't very pretty, but maybe it has to do with my tastes at the moment...pms'ing and craving fries.

Yes it's a chain, and while normally this would make it a disgrace, they apparently have a good brewmaster. Also, it's the pacific northwest, which means beer brewed here automatically tastes at least 20% better than elsewhere. The Hop Monster or whatever it was was really great (strong cascade hop flavor). The czech pilsner tasted a little skunky, not sure if that's because I had the big IPA first, or because it was actually a bad batch. Way better than Tap House next door.

Rock Bottom was a fun location for meeting friends after work, back when I worked on the Eastside. The location isn't great but there's ample parking underneath. Service and food were always adequate and prices not too scary. On the flip side, there is nothing really compelling about Rock Bottom, either; it's just one of many decent places to grab a beer and a bite.

It's one of the first bars I've been to since moving to Seattle. Since the bar is about two blocks away from work it's generally where we end up for happy hour. First of all, they brew their own beer and only server their own beer. However thankfully they have good selections and the beers are generally good. You can ask for the sampler if it's your first time there. Personally I enjoy the light ones like Liquid Sun and the brown ale. Not a big fan of the IPA in general so can't tell you much about it. Secondly, they have great happy hour prices. $2 Tuesdays & Sundays is great way to get drunk for cheap. $3 mug everyday from 4-6, $5 appitizers (as of right now) is really good for Bellevue. Be sure to join the mug club if you go often enough and be nice to the tenders.

Came here on a Friday night during happy hour and glad I did. Went upstairs to the bar/lounge area. Has enough seating for larger parties. Had a bunch of food and drinks and it was very cheap considering the amount we ordered. Didn't know they had a cheesy DJ and karaoke which was a nice surprise. All in all, a nice time and place.

This place reminds me a lot of BJ's Brewery in California, Nevada, and AZ. I enjoyed the beer and thought the food was pretty good. Rock Bottom lost its fourth star by not having many of it's house beers available during my visit.

I've been to Rock Bottom several times over the last few years: once or twice for lunch, once for dinner, and a number of times for Happy Hour. Every time, the service and the food has been somewhere between one-star and three-stars worthy. I can't say I've ever had an exceptional experience here. Last time I went, I ordered the HH buffalo strips. The chicken was half-cooked and translucent in the center. Eew! I also ordered the beer pretzels and cheese dip, which wasn't too bad (the pretzels were just right). The cocktails aren't very stiff. The service is either too busy to stop by or looks like they're being inconvenienced by you. Once I came here and it was like pulling teeth to get my waiter to stop by. When I asked for napkins, he looked totally annoyed. I only come here if it's convenient and my friends are here. Otherwise, I'd never go. Yuck. :P

I like Rock Bottom a lot, and I don't give a crap if it's just a chain brewpub or not. They use a lot of good ingredients in their variety of entrees, and their beers are very decent for being an American chain restaurant. (I like the one that finishes with a piney taste...forgot what it's called.) Much better food than Red Robin, and a way better atmosphere: less kids, no dumb high-school servers singing Happy Birthday. Waitstaff has always been average, nothing special but you don't wait 20 minutes for drink orders either. A great place to grab dinner before a movie at the Galleria, or if you just want better than average pub food.

Is it possible to be more generic than Applebees? yuh! Been here a few times for lunch with coworkers and every time I find a new dish that is similar to something offered by one of those other American chains (chilis, applebees) and have been disappointed. Just bland, bulk, bad quality food. Beers at the bar a a great idea though... Three stars, yo.

  • Stefanie H.

Hmmmm not sure where to start with this place. We got there before happy hour so we didnt have to nice prices. The beer I tried was meh...I've had better. The waiter checked on our table like once...i think...and then suddenly appeared with our check out of no where. I may have to go back and try this place during happy hour. That might bump them up a star. We'll see...

With the Eastside happy hour rush being the new rage...Rock Bottom was our third restaurant attempt at actually finding a table, and our only successful one, so kudos for having some open space! Happy hour lasts til 6:00, my friends and I had huge mugs of raspberry wheat beer that definitely buzzworthy. The food is inexpensive and decent enough, but really, nothing to write home about. Of our four appetizers, the titan toothpicks and cheese pizza were hits, but our nachos arrived looking a little wilted and soggy, and the asiago/beer bread was a whole other story...The dip was cheesy and delicious, but the bread had the consistency of banana-bread, not exactly ideal for dipping. Overall props that you can at least count on this place for a seat during the happy hour rush. If you're only in for a beer, this is the place to be, but not the best HH grub in town.

  • Bill W.

We come here on a very regular basis for one thing and one thing only: the top sirloin. Cooked medium with a side of their white cheddar mashed potatoes, this steak is absolutely seasoned to perfection and a steal at about $16. Besides the food, the booths are cushy and comfortable, and with the exception of a bad experience with a less-than-friendly hostess on one visit, the staff are typically very good. We've not seen that hostess since, so we assume that she didn't last long. It's also in a great location right next to the Bellevue Transit Center, so it's easily reached by any of the buses that have a layover there without having to drive and park - excellent if you intend to partake in the many adult beverage options available.

I've gone here an average of 2 times and had an acceptable times both times. The space is adequate and acceptable plus the staff is decent and fair. The food I did have was moderate and passable, while the beer was respectable and satisfactory. All in all, it was all right, common, moderate, passable, respectable, satisfactory, sufficient and tolerable. I'd like to thank Roget's thesaurus for helping me out: bartleby.com/62/40/A0114…

Went here after attempting to ice skate at the park in Bellevue.... Said to the bartender, "Can we just seat ourselves in that booth." Bartender, "Sure." Waiting, waiting, waiting... I should have asked if we could also get SERVED if we sat in that booth. 10 minutes later, a server with absolutely no personality takes our drink order. Simply not impressed... no awareness of the guest experience, and didn't seem to really care that much.

  • Bryce T.

I can understand why this brewery had lower prices than their competitors in the area. We were seated at our table in the lounge that was sticky. Our server was also the bartender and I was originally optimistic about what kind of service he would deliver. He took our drink order (1 beer and 3 waters) it took about 10 minutes for him to deliver them. He then took our meal order (1 sandwich, 2 burgers, and a wrap). Our food arrived one hour later. Our server did not check on us during our hour wait. He also never refilled any of our drinks. The food was okay except for the fries which most likely sat under a heat lamp for an hour while our burgers were cooking. I had to deliver our payment to him because he was too busy talking to a co-worker to come back and collect his money. I will not be returning to this establishment.

RB is always a good source for a fun hh get together with my ladies. Of course we are all mug club card members, so we get the big tall boys when we order a brew (don't ask how many total visits we are at...it is a scary total how many mugs we've enjoyed and we are reminded every time we get our mug club receipt!). I even get a free app on my b-day for being a mug club member! I recommend the chicken nachos and quesadilla...yum yum ;) Again...it is a dirt cheap option for food and drinks with friends! Gotta love me some RB - action!

I always enjoy what I get to eat here. It's one of those places that is kind of a easy pick for a please-all with the work crowd. It's close to work, has big tables, lots of seating, a menu to please everyone, and they serve bevs. Bevs can be a toucy subject on a work lunch, but when in doubt, DO IT. It shows your cool and don't give a crap what those stuffed shirts think of you! :) Back to Rockbottom...the service is eh. There is this one waiter I always get on the bar side. No matter what table, I always seem to get him and he is such a JERK! God, like getting me a diet coke or a side of dressing is such a task. It's not like it's not your job, Buster. and that will be reflected in your tip, sir.... If you can get past him (see if you can get seated on the restaurant side) it's not a bad spot for a quick and easy lunch. I recommend the fish tacos, pulled pork sandwich, and the tuscan chicken salad (favorite!).

Came here with a friend on a Thursday night during late night happy hour. I had buffalo wings and a beer, I hate myself for consuming this much calories late at night but it felt good. The food was a generous portion for happy hour, no complains.
