Giant bowls of decent pho. This is the fast food of pho. Bubble tea is good too.

I went here yesteday. The place isn't horrible, but there was a couple of personal gripes. I ordered the meatball pho with extra meatballs. They gave me 7. Okay. I asked for a side of peanuts because I like to make a sauce for my meatballs. No peanuts. I've never heard of a pho restaurant not having crushed peanuts. The egg rolls are 1.89 but cost only about .10 to make. They're skinny and over fried. They came with my pho, not before like another poster mentioned. The coffee bubble tea was FANTASTIC, but the pho broth was not that great. I've tasted MUCH better. It was just like hot water.

like the pho and spring roll. Very simple food with taste and competitive price.

This place is awful. Like most pho restaurants, they allow you to alter an order, but not here. I ordered Chicken and Veggie pho and the waitress who was taking our order stated "we don't do that, and I'm the owner" That's great she's the owner and all, but last time I was here, I got what I ordered... I never order anything different. She then proceeds to walk away as if she didn't hear me and another waitress came over to RETAKE our order.... some great owner she is... never coming back here again. I found a piece of hair in my pho by the way.

Just fine. Nothing too fancy. I don't have much more to say?

Went there for lunch. Felt like having a pho. The service wasn't great, she was in a hurry and didn't try to understand what I want and how I want it. Because I'm a foodie, I want to get my phoe "my way", but the waitress seemed she is in a hurry. I wanted to have some extra vegies with the chichen pho, which didn't arrive but I had to ask about them after that. The chicken was pretty dry and chewey. The broth was ok, not much flavor. I've been to better pho places in that area - for example Kirkland pho.

Came here with a group of around 10 people for late lunch. The service was kinda messy but the pho was alright. We usually get pho because it's pretty straightforward, but our server had issues getting the right orders to everyone and there was a big time gap for when people were served. A quarter of our party had nearly finished their pho by the time everyone else was getting started.. Everyone seemed pretty satisfied with their portions. The small and large come in the same size bowl, the small just has a little less noodle. Typical pho place conveniently located in Bellevue.

It's Pho. Kind of hard to have bad Pho. Especially, when you're hungover. Pho is magical when you're hungover. Don't know what it is, but after a long night of drinking, this can make you feel brand new. Anyways, I've eaten here numerous times and I'm never disappointed. Everything from the spring rolls, pho, noodle bowls, rice plates, etc., were great. Service is always good for me as well. It's close to work so when the mood strikes, this is always a great spot on a cold day.

Sometimes it's easy to forget reviewing a wonderful eatery when you consistently get great food and this place is one of those times! This is a quick close lunchtime eatery for me and my office colleagues when we are hungry and on a time crunch so I am overdue here! The Pho soups are outstanding. Piping hot, extremely flavorful (not watered down), the ingredients are fresh, the meats always the best cuts, and the veggies always crisp and thoroughly cleaned. If you are craving something else I would recommend the Beef Stew with rice. Hearty, fragrant & unbelievably tasty. If you are really hungry or in a group, grab the meat egg rolls or fresh shrimp/pork rolls for starters, both of which are substantial enough to act a meal filler. The rest of the menu I am almost 100% sure is quite good too because I see different dishes going by and they always look amazingly delicious. The restaurant itself is always clean, cozy, friendly staff, very attentive (since most of these places are slow to refill your waters, check back, etc) and they have a large HD television on the wall if you are dining alone and don't want to read. Condiments on the table are always filled and clean to handle. Dam this place is great! I can't wait to go back and I can't believe it took me this long to share the wealth!

I am surprised that I have yet to review this place considering I come all the time! I would have to say that Sunday is the best day to come its mellow and All the servers on Sunday are awesome! When I eat Pho I always like to look at the Bean Sprouts, Jalapenos, and Lime to see if they looked like they are recycled! I am very happy to say the veggies are Very fresh and there is never any suspicion of anything getting reused from one customer to the next! The Pho is always piping hot and large portions of meat and noodles (Very Balanced), usually I order the #27 with noodles and it is consist and good every time. I would say you can order anything here and I am pretty sure it will be good because I have yet to order something I don't like! The extra perk is that they are open pretty late so if you decide you want some Pho later in the day they are gonna be here for you to eat in or take out, its all great!

I'll tell you what I really like about this place. I don't feel horrible after eating it. I think they don't use as much salt as other places, or something is different about the broth. The food is good, and the place is pretty old and could stand for a remodel. Compared to the others though I feel like I've eaten a healthy meal.

The broth was way too sweet and also tasteless. One of the worst pho soups I've had in a long time.

Decided to try this Pho place earlier today. it not only serves Pho, but teriyaki and even some Thai food. however, today, we just wanted Pho since obviously the Seattle weather is back to being gloomy (and it's the middle of JULY) The server came and my husband just wanted a Combo, which he thought they would understand it's just the "standard" Pho Dac Biet since my husband isn't one to read what bowl has what ingredients...the server didn't really get what my husband was saying, so I just told him #17, which is close to a combo (one large, one small)...the guy seemed a bit slow, and I felt like I had to repeat myself (which I don't like to do--so I probably came off as a bitch when I didn't mean to--sorry guy! but maybe you need to write the order down on a piece of paper) We also ordered a gyozo/eggroll combo appetizer and an ice milk coffee. The service was quick in serving our soup and appetizer, but nearly halfway done in our meal, I realized I didn't get my coffee and had to remind them, which I get annoyed about. the soup wasn't really that flavorful. In fact, I thought it was bland regardless of what we put in. they do give you a good size portion, but what's the point of eating it if it didn't taste all that great...so I had ended up eating less than half...partially because I was full and the other, I didn't like the flavor. I think one of the servers noticed my nearly untouched bowl and gave me a funny look for not grubbing on it. Hell! if it was good, I probably would've. The appetizer was "ok"...I think they pre-fried it, and if a person orders it, they'll re-fry it since when we got our order, the eggrolls and gyozos were kind of dark (almost burnt like). the taste was ok, but I don't think we'll order it again (IF we ever come back to this place) the coffee was "ehh"...really bitter. I know most vietnamese coffee is bitter and strong in taste, but if they are going to add the condense milk, I wish they would add more, just so there is some sweetness.

It's pho on the Eastside. Do you expect much? I don't. However, it's cheap, fast, tasty enough to suffice and they open early enough to have pho for breakfast. Yay! This place is across the street from both my jobs, so I end up stopping in when I want something filling in broth form, and I have yet to be disappointed. Prices are a little high compared to what pho SHOULD be, but I attribute that to the Eastside Tax [which is really just a price hike]. I don't care about silly things like MSG, but if they use it, that's fine with me because as long as the result is DELICIOUS... which it is... I am happy.

This place is so nice for some reason. Reasons why I like this place: 1. They are the least pho smelling pho place one could go to. Most places turn you into pho itself, but this place actually is not that bad. 2. They have easy access parking and the parking spots never run out. 3. The resturant is spacious and clean. 4. Kenny likes thier pho flavor the best. 5. They are good listeners to your requests for custom orders and they always try thier best to do it the way you want it. (Kenny likes his beef on the side). 6. They do over the top things to show you they care: one day they surprised me with a small cup of yogurt just to be nice. :) 7. Even when I order to go, they go over the top at service. They still made things custom for me AND threw in an extra spring roll- maybe on accident, but I like to think it's because they are nice. :) 8. They also offer other kinds of foods other than pho.

like i said in my other pho restaurant review- pho is pho. it's got to be difficult to screw up, right? pho tai was just fine. noodles were super silky (is that strange to say?), but were cooked a *tinge* more than i prefer, though this is not to say they were soggy or anything- they were fine. spring roll was fine. i was really happy they had a fresh lemon soda on the menu (i love when restaurants have their own fresh-squeezed citrus soda), and it was pretty good, but i will ask for less sugar the next time i'm there.

I love Pho Tai Bellevue! They do not use MSG like almost every other Pho restaurants do. I have severe allergic reaction to MSG, so I know! So the people who says their soup taste bland or different, it's because you are addicted to MSG more than anything else. I do not put any sauce into my soup and it just taste awesome! Their portions are great and give more than enough meat per bowl! My normal order is #2 and spring roll. Sometimes I eat the cold noodle one w/ pork and shrimp and it is just out of the world! I tried their Teriyaki dishes too and they weren't bad at all. Since it is Pho place, I didn't have high expectation of them, but it was like I was getting Teriyaki from Teriyaki restaurant. It was that good! I tried so many different pho restaurants, but this Bellevue Pho Tai is the best of the best! I've been a regular customer for the last 4 years! Only thing is though, whenever I order a bubble tea, they don't bring it out until I am almost done w/ my pho. I am a slow eater, so that means I usually wait about 20-30 min for my bubble tea. It's well worth the wait, but it's one downside of that restaurant...I guess I can deal with that.

The Skinny: It's cheap, it's decent and fast. The service here is lightning fast if you're ordering the Pho Tai. It's probably less than 3 minutes to get an entree. It's by no means the best pho i've had, but it's fast and near Microsoft campus. The staff is fast, courteous and really efficient. Granted the place is kinda like a hole in the wall, but it's not known for being nice. :)

Visited this Pho joint for the 1st time last night. Pho soup combo was mediocre. Service was sub--par to rude. Atmosphere was cheap and downright filthy!!! There were more than 6 tables that had not been cleared off / cleaned when we sat down to eat. Perhaps they were understaffed. Looked like there was 1 cook in the back and 1 lady running the cash register, taking orders and waitressing. Bathrooms were icky too. When we were about to leave, the lady took our credit card and didn't bother to dry off her hands from whatever she was doing. We asked her to dry off her hands and the card before taking it back and her countenance immediately changed. Perhaps she was annoyed that we asked her to dry her hands and our credit card before handing it back to us but......it was gross. It's just like sneezing into your hand and then offering to shake hands with someone. Def NOT going back.

Man, I went back a second time to eat and this time, it tasted like last time BUT I think the meatball was undercooked and I got quite sick from it later on after I got back. I am not returning back from this point on. Weird. Could be one of those that happens once and a while I guess.

Great, friendly service. The pho is inexpensive, and they have a wide variety of other choices of meals if you're not a pho fan. The take-out is the best, they have sealed container that keeps the raw meat etc divided, nice big servings.

An average pho restaurant with an expanded menu, the food lacks an authentic quality and comes with sub-par service. Pho Tai is inside a plaza right behind Ihop which you can see on your left as you come North on 148th. Parking is plentiful and from the outside, the restaurant looks somewhat modern with its' cheeky bright lettering. Inside there is a large number of tables, a payment counter in the back and a large flat screen TV in the middle of the restaurant. There seemed to only be one waitress while we were there and we got the feeling she was new to the restaurant business. We asked fro some scissors to cut noodles for my nieces, and she just grabbed the used ones from another table - didn't even wash them before giving them to us. Other than that snafu, this place is just like many other pho restaurants with a self-serve style (grab your own chopsticks and napkins from the table). The menu goes beyong typical Vietnamese fare, it also features teriyaki and thai food. I did not try any of those items because I am always wary that if a place offers a variety of ethnic specialties, it can never do any of them right. Their pho menu was strange. There was no "pho dac biet" which had everything. Every single pho choice was missing one item or the other. The large pho bowl was 5.99, and when it arrived it looks like it was a "medium," at the other places I normally frequent. The tendon in my pho was mushy and not crunchy, the noodles were nothing to rave about and the soup was very plain. The egg rolls with minced meat and vegetables were very good - round and filling. I would probably not frequent this place and instead continue my hunt for the perfect pho restaurant elsewhere.

Cold spring rolls, tasteless pho, iced coffee in a plastic cup!, and slow service. Never coming back again. Sad, because I believe Pho Tai is part of a chain and we've been to the Tukwila location and had a better time there. Restaurant also felt a little dirty.

  • Ka T.

Pho Tai have easy parking, quick service, and their pho is decent. Their pho noodles are spot on al dente every time. The broth is just the right temperature - hot, but it lacks spice and can be boring at times. There's only so much sarachia flavor broth I can take before I get sick of it. This is the part where I suppose to say something wonderful about this place, but there is really nothing else special about this place. Except for a 9 year old girl cashier, if you're into that.... J/k.

sheesh, i can't believe i never got around to doing a review on this joint! this is my go to pho restaurant in bellevue. broth is tasty and crazy hot. the meats are consistant, nothing fancy. rolls are fresh. it's comforting because i can depend on that consistancy. i've never had any of their rice dishes (cause i'm not abouts to order teriyaki at a pho joint) but my kid enjoys the teriyaki there. the bun (vermicelli) is ok too. i live down the street from this place and i order take out every once in a while. i know, you're prolly thinkin' take out pho is no bueno but these kids have it down. broth is packed seperately and the pho and meat are sealed (literally) in this rectangular container that perfectly holds ALL of the broth from the other container as you pour it in. PERFECT! the broth is always super hot (but that maybe because i am so close that it doesn't have a chance to cool down). they give you all the necessary condiments on the side too, including hoisin and sriracha sauces. my only gripe is they are only open til 10. they used to be open til 11. i needs my late nite pho, man!

  • Charles M.

I love this place! They are never stingy with the meat or noodles. As far as service goes, it's not the greatest, but I've come to expect that from most pho restaurants so i don't let it ruin my dining experience. I'm there for the food after all.

Pho Tai has a diverse menu and serves quality Pho that never disappoints. You can order a wide variety of teriyaki type dishes if Pho is not appealing that day. The staff is friendly and engaging. Prices are reasonable and you get good bang for your buck. This place is definitely the best and most consistent on the eastside of Bellevue.

I like this place since their food is pretty authentic and closest it can get to traditional Vietnamese food. Casual place, Quick service and tasty Bubble tea are some other things that could be mentioned.

Worst pork chop I ever ate. It tastes like cardboard (even I have never really ate a cardboard) It has grill mark but I am 100% sure it was grilled many days ago and before they serve it, they deep fried it to make it hot. Apparently, they deep fried it too long and it all dried up I tried their pho before and the quality is getting worse and worse. I am not going to give it another chance...

I have received horrible service here every time I come in. Their spring rolls are good but other than that their pho and curry are only mediocre. Don't ever go in past 9pm unless you want to be reminded every 5 minutes that they're close soon (they're supposed to close at 10). After three visits of being treated horribly, I'm never coming here again.

I don't profess to be an expert in pho. However, my wife and I love theirs. Plus, the banh mi sandwiches are excellent, with lots of great meat and filling and super bread.

Went here with a couple buddies as we were starving for some pho. The prices are little steep but I guess its typical for the eastside. The pho was average and we also got some spring rolls. Every pho place gives the spring rolls first, this place did not. I waited 5 mins after the pho was served and saw new people arrive and get spring rolls. I inquired about it while all the workers were on break eating in front of the guests. They gave me a rude response stating they know and its still being made while one runs in the back and starts making them. hmmmmm. Very rude customer service from the second we walked in,during and when we left. I understand pho joints are not known for awesome friendly service but this place simply doesn't give a hoot about there guests. Won't be back.

I have been to Pho Tai several times and I have several really nice things to say. -To also cut to the chase for all the hungry mobile participants reading this on the fly. my current favorite/suggestion Is the number 41 pho, steak cuts and tendon in, important to ask "large size". and ove coarse to add to preference i certainly recommend taking them up on the different red spicy possibly pickled oils not just classic spracha sauce they have another one at each table that is really good to. Important note- the base of the pho soup at this place is a little different then possibly most other pho places that i have been to it is a little different however i really like it a lot and i think many others will appreciate it also in it's different richness. Point one. For a business lunch to bring your friend's this places is likely one of the best in Bellevue the service is fast. Point two, the customer service is excellent one of the best I have ever experienced at any restaurant period. if you flag them down they will always notice you instantly they don't pay games at this place they are friendly and calm. Point there. back/related to point one in context of a business lunch where none of the party/friends have ever eaten here before and the group is looking for a place that every one is going to like example "Ie like a variety place like whole foods" I do think that this place achieves it. i have looked thought there menu and this review will certainly be updated after i try their Pad Thai, and Chicken teriyaki witch from the current looks of the place i think that if most people where to bring there friends on that assumption of variety for personal preference that they certainly would not as a group be disaponted with the quality/authenticness and customer service execution of the lunch. basically from where the calm insightful customer service meets the practical/quality execution of variety i could see people using this as a great business lunch spot in Bellevue because as a common denominator the pricing is very fair also relative to the portions for a group of diverse friends/social business lunch.

The most delicious Pho within lunchtime driving distance of my Bellevue office. Before moving away I used to go often. I'd usually call in advance and have them prepare my takeout order ahead of time so I can take my Pho and go, but it's always nicer to have the time to dine in. It's consistently good food every time and they've always gotten my order just right. Their bubble tea is good too.

Humm scrolling down to see a bunch of high reviews of this place. Did I go to the same place? Normally I don't rate fast food restaurants because unless that place is really crappy, it should be a-ok. However, I do want to caution people looking for a pho place to go else where. I ordered a small steak and tripe pho. I am not picky about my fast food and don't require special side orders. The pho came and as I went through the noodles, I noticed I was missing tripe. So I asked one of the waitress passing by about the missing item. She told me no and that it was in there. I looked at the bowl again and she came over and pointed at a very thin strand of white stuff and told me that it was tripe. That strand was thinner than the onions in the soup. So I dug deeper into my bowl and only found 2 strands of these so called tripe. Really? They should've just made it steak pho only and I think I wouldn't be so disappointed. My friend had their noodle bowls and it was ok for her. So maybe a lesson learned is not to order their pho especially their steak and tripe. Yes, I definitely had better pho experience.

When this restaurant first opened up, I told myself that I was going to Yelp it immediately. I kept procrastinating it and am only now getting around to reviewing it. Well, it's a good place. When I think of Vietnamese restaurants, I can't help but automatically think that they only sell pho. Their name doesn't help it any either. But do not be mislead; these guys actually have a variety of Thai dishes, teriyaki, beverages, and frozen yogurt! They actually cover stuff from all over the place, and at least deserve some recognition for that. The restaurant on the inside looks nice, and they even have a TV. I don't know why I mentioned that, but apparently it's important enough of an issue for some people that Yelp feels the need to ask whether the restaurant has a TV. From the "Noodle Salad Bowl" section of their menu, I ordered a #25: Noodles, salad, prawn & grilled pork, sauce with assorted mixtures. What a lovely description for something the name of which I can't even read. It came to my table within less than four minutes, and that by itself deserves some commendation. I love how restaurants like these tend to be crazy prepared. After pouring the cup of sauce onto my bowl of noodles, I saw a lot of stuff crammed into that white plastic bowl. There were carrots, onions, lettuce, cucumbers, bean sprouts, peanuts, prawns, and pork covering the noodles. Wow, what a mouthful. And that's only counting the stuff I could readily identify. The menu didn't go so much into detail, so much of this was a pleasant surprise. Aside from the meats which were cooked, the noodles as a whole were generally cold, and it's a bit unusual for me to eat noodles like that. However, everything else blends so well with the noodles that I can't really complain. It was delicious, and $8.50 for noodles like these is a bargain. I also got a large cup of pineapple "bubble juice" afterward. Apparently, that's what they call bubble tea here. It was a tall and heavy clear plastic cup with a domed cover. I like how the drink was thick like a shake/smoothie, but I didn't like how the hard-as-rocks tapioca bubbles cost 60 cents extra, and I especially didn't like how there could not be a more obvious made-from-powder flavor to this drink. Seriously. Other than that, I think they did a fine job. It's a place I would recommend.

Pretty mediocre pho place. The service and the food was nothing spectacular I stopped by with my family for a bite to eat, and it just seemed to me like a fast food version of Vietnamese cuisine. I would definitely venture elsewhere if your looking for real authentic Vietnamese food. I'm a big pho fan and this place just didn't deliver at all.

Best pho in Bellevue HANDS DOWN. I wish they had mignon as an option for the beef but i guess ill pick my battles! Im glad its right next to my house too! Nice hot savory broth!! Nice staff!! Hi guys! :):)

Starting to get into Pho so I tried this place after finding it here on yelp. I had the Pho Tai, it did not have very much beef and what it had was tough. The broth was bland but okay with a lot of spice added. I went back to try the panang chicken. I am a long time Thai food fan and it stuck in my head how a review said it was the best and their menu said it was their most popular item (even though I didn't see anyone else eating it?). The portion was large but it was very thin/runny and it didn't have any thai basil or kefir lime leaves as the menu indicated. The rice was the tasteless white rice you get at teriyaki restaurants, not the jasmine or brown I get at Thai restaurants. I much prefer the panang at Thai Chef down the road.

The Panang Curry is the best! However if your a fan oh Pho and fresh spring rolls this is the place to go. Very casual little hole in the wall. Service is fast and friendly and we usually get out of there for around $23.00. Perfect place to eat after an hour of thrifting through Goodwill store next door.

Mmmmm Pho. Nothing helps a dreary, grey and rainy day (or a hangover) like a nice big bowl of Chicken Pho. Honestly, this is my favorite Pho spot. It's Pho, it comes quick, always hot and flavorful. What more can you ask for? I love that the utensils and sauces are already on the table for you to grab. The sprouts, jalapenos, and limes are always brought fresh. They always bring ice water and hot green tea out right away. Not only is the Pho great, but all the other items I've had have been amazing, especially the spring rolls and gyozas. Super noms!

How did my sister and I end up in the ghetto of Bellevue? It doesn't really matter. I was falling-down hungry and hoping for fast as well as healthy and my sis is a vegan which is why we chose Pho Tai. Entering the establishment, I noticed that the place was set up a bit like a cafeteria. We were seated by a harried-looking young man and given some menus. Since I was so hungry, I had already decided that I needed an appetizer. I chose the gyoza, thinking, "you can't really mess up gyoza, right?" I wasn't pleased that they showed up with my meal (I was F$%@^$ hungry! I wanted an APPETIZER). They were not greasy, but the filling was......interesting. To quote: Sis: "How is it?" Me: "I'm not sure. They smell a bit funny." Sis: "Funny-bad or funny-ha ha?" Me: "They taste funny too, but not like they smell..." *giggling ensues* Me (wiping giggle tears away): "They smell like pork and taste like....old shrimp. What is this filling? Shork?" Sis (thinking hard): "I think they must have filled them with pimp!" *dissolve into more giggles* The spicy chicken and mushrooms were suitable. The sis had veggie yakisoba; but she made sure to tell me that they hadn't used "real" soba noodles, just cheap noodles. I had to post just so people can ask for the "pimp gyoza". Please do. It will make my day.

The meals we have had were always delicious. I agree with other review the place seems a little dirty and customer service could use improvement. Then again, maybe the lack of customer service is a cultural thing? Either way, get take out if it bothers you that much. Food is pretty darn good.

First, I would like to start by saying that I am not an especially big fan of pho. It's appropriate for those cold, rainy nights (like the night we came here), but given other options, it would not top my list of foods to eat. The first thing I noticed about Pho Tai was that it was comparatively a bit bigger than other pho places. We showed up around 4:30 PM, an awkward time, so I wasn't surprised to see that most of the tables (and there were a lot of them) were empty. I was also surprised by the clean floors that are usually absent from hole-in-the-wall pho places in Seattle. The menu, too, was helpful with its pictures and descriptions of various parts of the cow. Our food arrived quickly (within minutes, as all pho places do), and we started eating. I found the soup to be decent, maybe a little underflavored, and began adding way too many jalapenos. My beef tendon was cut into small pieces, which were just the right balance between soft and chewy. However, I do wish they'd used bigger chunks instead of many smaller pieces. In general, the pho wasn't bad at all, but it was just pho to me. On a final note, I blame the Eastside for having generally pricier restaurants. For my small bowl of pho, I paid over $6 - about a dollar more than what I could've gotten in Seattle.

Very disappointing! The shrimp in the spring rolls were not deveined (gross) and the wrap was beyond chewy. The pho was just meh but the clincher for the 2 stars was the MSG. Definitely won't be coming back - guess I'm just going to stick with Pho Hoa as my Pho place on the Eastside.

Good pho and fast customer service. Portions are great. we always ask for an additional plate of jalapeno peppers and extra onions and they always are happy to comply. Did not try different dish. They also offer good bubble tea with real fruit option.

My coworkers and I come here once or twice a month. I've never actually had the pho here (I go to Pho Hoa for pho), but my coworker said it was good, albeit a smaller portion size than Pho Hao. Anyhow, I come here for the com bi suon cha (pork chop, egg, and shredded pork skin rice dish). Not the best I've ever had, but it's hard to find Viet restaurants that will give you 2 pieces of pork chop, shredded pork skin, and a bowl of soup on the side to balance the salty fish sauce. I'm not a fan of the "salad" that they give with it, and I wish they'd give you the real Viet egg/pork spam thing instead of an actual egg, but whatever, it tastes good.

This place is my favorite pho joint in Bellevue. The soup comes out piping hot, to the point where I have to let it cool for a second before I can dig in. In my mind, that's the way it should be. Their broth is very flavorful, and the quality of the beef appears to be pretty good. If you get a craving for pho on the Eastside, this is the place to go.

Pho tai is a korean owned Vietnamese restaurant business. However, the pho here is pretty darn good. I had the egg rolls as well which were decent size and pretty good. Service is friendly. I don't know why I haven't been here more often being that it is pretty close to where I work and live.

Walked in. Sit down. Look at menu for 2 minutes. Took my order. Brought my drink and soup toppings. 5 minutes later soup came out. 10 minutes later brought my check. 20 minutes later I was done, went up and paid and left. That was my whole experience with this place. I ate a late lunch and it seemed like a lot of people were still there which is a good sign. Definitely good pho all though I don't know if I have ever had BAD pho. Veggies seemed really fresh too. Definitely a good get in and get out, fast service restaurant.

The best pho I ever had. I went to phothai twice a week for a quick lunch or dinner after workout. High quality steak!

I am giving it 4 stars based mostly on how the staff is. The food selection is good and prices reasonable. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 kids. The staff greeted us promptly, cleaned and pulled a table over to accommodate us. 2 people asked us what if we were ready but I attributes it to trying to be helpful. Everyone's soup came quickly and tasted great! Would definitely come back.....

This is not a bad pho place. I came here couple of times and got pho tai and some chicken teriyaki. Pho broth is ok, but not as good as the pho restaurants in Seattle. I got the chicken teriyaki here because it had "teriyaki" on the restaurant sign. Big mistake. Don't get the teriyaki here. Trust me on this one.

    (3)
  • Katie B.

Pho was better than most, but the panang curry was bad. The curry was swimming in soupy flavorless sauce and the chicken was still dry. Their bubble tea was good, so might go back there for bubble tea if I'm in the area.

My family and I have been coming here for years. It's our basic lunch spot and they have pho and bun vermicelli bowls. They make a good basic pho that hits the spot- I always get the vegetarian pho- and solid Vietnamese coffee. They've changed ownership and the service is a little spottier but the food is still good. It's a good spot for pho in Bellevue!

My husband and I have been going here for years. Tasty, cheap, and fast. We've had the pho, which is our favorite. They always get it right, even when we ask for changes. Less noodle, more vegetables, etc. Their gyoza is always really good and always comes out super fast so when you're incredibly hungry they are a perfect appetizer. We also sometimes get the spicy chicken and mushroom which is so so good. And their avocado smoothie, the one made with fresh avocado is AMAZING. I've gotten avocado drinks at many places, but this is my favorite. The interior is fairly standard, you're not going for the ambiance. The staff are usually friendly, now and then you have someone that you know is either having a bad day or just doesn't want to be there. Which is understandable, I've felt that way when working in food service, it's hard to hide sometimes. No one has been flat out rude or anything though. Take out is really easy here too, since their food is ready so quickly it's easy to just pop in and take home a nice bit bowl of pho if you don't really feel like sitting in the restaurant. Oh! And if you can't finish all your broth and you want to take your pho home, they always give us fresh noodles for it, or the opposite too if you have a bowl full of noodles to take home they will top off your broth. When we've had people in town visiting, we've taken them to Pho Tai and they've loved it as well. My brother asked to be taken here every few days when he was staying here for a few months.. haha I love this place and it will be missed once we move. :c

All in all I was very satisfied with this place. Ive eaten at a lot of different pho joints and this one gets put on the places to visit again. The prices are regular to most places but their large pho was the largest I've ever gotten and for once had some to take home. Service was good and the waiters/waitresses were nice. They were busy at the time so service was slower as to be expected but still pretty well timed. So far they have the best nuoc beo I've found. All in all deffininetly worth trying out

  • Liz W.

I liked this place and thought that the food was pretty good. I had one shrimp and pork fresh roll and the tofu and veggie pho. No complaints at all. Service was super fast and decent. I guess the food might seem high priced, but only in comparison to the Vietnamese places in the International District in Seattle; it's all relative.

My experience was not so great in the food. My noodles were super over cooked and I had to ask for more veggies, lime and etc for my pho. The taste was horrible, but it was fast service.

Pretty decent Pho, with a fair number of chocies, and additional customizations you can add for a few dollars. The Pho is reasonably priced, the large bowl should pretty much fill anyone up. Also tried their milk tea smoothies. Weren't bad, and they have an interesting durian flavour.

Not many places on the east side hold a candle to cheap dining in Seattle, but this place is great! To be fair, I'm basing my assessment off of one dish. I can't remember the name since there isn't a readable online menu to remind me, but it was a beef pho with a dark broth. Had carrots in it, almost reminded me of a beef stew. Very rich and delicious. Quite a bit of fat on the beef, but I think that's what adds so much flavor to the broth. If I find myself on the east side during a cold, wet winter day - I'm headed here.

    (5)
  • Disco T.

the broth is clear, but not sour; a pretty balanced broth as i've come across with pho broths. they gave me plenty of meat & garnishing. pretty positive experience, so far.

  • ISAAC J.

I went here recently I was very pleasantly satisfied with the service and the pho. I also had the shrimp roll with the peanut sauce and a nice ice coffee to wash it all down. Service is quick and the prices are very reasonable. They have several locations throughout the Seattle metropolitan area.

    (4)
  • Alex L.

Just straight forward and simple, Pho broth was on the salty side, nothing special with their meat and also on the lacking side in my opinion. Very small plate of sprouts, basil and the driest limes I've ever seen in my life. It was like if they've squeezed the limes before they gave it to us. Pricing was okay. Service was on the rude side. Could use work in that aspect. Server was basically mute and only gave us one menu. I would take my money to a different pho place.

  • S C.

Having just relocated to the area, we've been trying to find our go-to spot for pho and this place is it. The portions are big and I feel like the prices are fair. The restaurant seems just as clean as any other restaurant. Broth is flavorful, meat tender and veggies and fresh. The service is crazy quick. Basically once you sit down, they are ready to take your order if you're ready. The food comes out in less than 5 minutes. I found the servers to be friendly enough. You can't go wrong with the Pho here. It's better than anything else we have had here on the east side. Spring rolls are just meh

  • Jonny P.

Food usually is a lot better, and i would consider it one of the better ones in the eastside. Been here for tons of times now, and I love their broth. Recently looked into the dry noodle salads and they are actually a very nice salad for me too. One of the waiters (new I think) doesn't seem to notice his thumb is in the broth when he's serving. I've seen him done that twice and I do not dare to eat it! My wife just walked out once due to the same reason when she try to have lunch there with her friend!

I am really shocked at all the bad reviews of this place so I thought I would put in my two cents. Every time I go to Pho Tai I am greeted with friendly and very quick service. This is one of the more cleaner Pho places around especially if you have visited ones in Seattle on Rainier so I am not sure what people are referring to when they says its not clean. I always try to hit up pho places because it is one of those things that you can depend on when you are hung over. I have been to I love pho, Pho Hoa, Saigon City on the Eastside of Bellevue and this is my current favorite location on the Eastside. Just so you know Pho Bac on Jackson and Boren in Seattle currently holds my #1 ranking but if you thought Pho Tai was "not clean" you probably should not go to Pho Bac. The meat quality is good and tender, the vegetables like the bean sprouts and basil are fresh too which I appreciate. Some places they are all wilted or discolored which I run from. They are open pretty late 7 days a week. Mon-Sat 10pm I think and 9pm on Sundays They serve teriyaki and curry dishes too. This is good to know because many teriyaki places do not open on Sundays.. and if they do they close pretty early. Only reason it does not get 5 stars is that it is a litttttttle bit pricey for Pho, but its Bellevue and Bellevue always add a premium everywhere you go.

    (4)

  • Max N.

Cheap and fast. I can't tell how their pho is different from others'. There is a tv and usually they play ESPN when you are having dinner. Which is a plus for me. I'm surprise that people are talking about the mediocre ambience when you are paying $8 per person for dinner. "Ambience" and "$8" should not appear in the same sentence.

  • Tom B.

A very solid neighborhood pho place. Good service, good prices, nice clean bright dining room with a flat screen that's virtually always set to sports. I only go to a couple of pho places where I can catch part of a game, and this certainly doesn't hurt them in my opinion. Pho tai puts out a good bowl of soup, a decent spring roll, a decent bubble tea. That's really all I ask for. The meat has obviously been frozen at some point, it's a little on the dry side, but I can live with that. The condiments and the noodles all taste perfectly fresh, and the broth has good depth and intensity of flavor. Overall, Pho Tai doesn't do any one thing so very well that you have to point to them and say "that's the place that does X." But they do everything well enough that, even if you work close by, you can keep coming back again and again without getting tired of the place. And that's always good for something.

With good pho comes a great price.....but in this case that means paying a dollar more then most pho joints. The service here is always quick and decently friendly. The broth is very flavorful and the vegetables are always on the fresher side which is a huge plus. The meat is always tasty and i dont believe its frozen like most other pho restaurants. They also serve other dishes such as teriyaki and curry but I haven't tried them but a few of my friends have and seemed to enjoy them. A solid go to for pho on the Eastside.

  • Nikki N.

Yum! Haven't tried a dish that I didn't like yet! I usually go for the pho w/rare steak but also really love the carrot beef stew w/noodles. The stew had huge chunks of tender meat and didn't taste like carrots at all. I tried a couple pieces of my friends ginormus portion of chicken katsu and it was the best I'd ever had, I usually don't order it when I eat out because most places it's dry and chewy (but not here it was really good.) I saw one review that wasn't a big fan of the bubble tea here but but my only complaint would be that a couple times the tapioca pearls have been a frozen clump in the bottom...not a big deal and certainly not enough to make me go someplace else.

  • Aline P.

Not really the best place to eat pho. It's pretty cheap but the service is horrible. The waiter was rude and stagnant...however our orders came up surprisingly fast. I guess the reason why this place has so many customers is because its cheap and they have your order up in like 2 minutes. But the pho isn't really all that good. The meat is tender and the bean sprouts are fresh but the broth is pretty much tasteless. You can tell the pho isn't going to be good once you look at the color of the broth. I wouldn't eat here again. Pho Hoa is just around the corner and it's so much tastier and the bowl is bigger too.

Dined here with a friend for a quick dinner meal. Decided to try the Tom Yum, a pretty safe Thai dish. The description said the hot and sour lemongrass soup would have chicken and shrimp in it. For $9, I assumed it would have the works in the soup. I was quite disappointed. Instead I got tons of thickly cut scallions and mushrooms floating on top of a mostly watery (70% spicy water) soup. I quickly dug around the bottom with my spoon, only to find 6-7 shrimp, and no chicken or other ingredients in it. I felt ripped off, frankly. Some of the scallions were so thickly cut they still had the roots on them. I was extremely grateful they served a plateful of rice with the soup to help fill me up a bit, otherwise I would've been starving within 2 hours of eating. I should try something else next time I visit, otherwise for $9, this is only getting 2 stars.

I've never had Pho here, only the panang curry which is great. It's nice that I can go there with a group and there is something for everyone since they have teriyaki, thai and pho. Always felt my time and money spent there was easily worth it. Place is clean, roomy, and staff is ok. Price is good. Orders are delivered quickly. Don't expect your water to get refilled without flagging someone down (I think this is a theme at pho places??). :)

Great pho at a great price! The staff is very friendly and if you got there often, they will remember you. The bubble tea smoothies are yummy, and the spring rolls are pretty good. The panang curry was good, too. Overall, good place for casual dining. :)

The amazing thing about this place is it's location relative to my j-o-b. I can get there, place an order for a small(trust me its plenty) pho tai, and be back at work w/ my bowl of happiness in 15 minutes.* The service is efficient. Especially the to-go orders. I think they send their employees to a special assembly class in the mountains of Germany. You get your broth in one container, sprouts/chilis/sauces/lime in another, and then in some miracle stolen from bubble tea...a vacuum sealed package w/ your steak, noodles, and onions. The Pho is good, not mind-blowingly good, satisfyingly good. They have some additional Vietnamese, Thai, & Teriyaki items on the menu as well....But I come to a place like this for only One thing. *Not counting the horrific bellevue traffic and people who generally drive with their heads firmly entrenched in their asses.

After coming here a few times my impression is that the food is quite good but they are lacking in service. When you first get in someone usually yells from where ever they are standing to ask how many people you have. They take your order and bring it to your table and you won't see the waiter after that. Come here if you just wanna grab a bite.

This review is solely for the Bubble Tea. We moved to the Eastside not long ago and were on a mission to find some bubble tea one night. We're big boba lovers and found it to be pretty hard to find a bubble tea joint on the Eastside. We couldn't access our internet so we did it old school and just drove around Bellevue/Redmond. We found a couple places but they were closed. After twenty or so minutes we came across this Pho restaurant with a Bubble Tea sign. What the hell, we're desperate for boba. Not many smoothie flavor options, but we went with Strawberry and Watermelon. One sip and we threw them away. $10 down the drain! Artificial flavoring that tasting nothing like they were supposed to taste. I can't quite put my finger on what they really tasted like, but the watermelon had a metallic after taste. The tapioca was previously frozen (burnt) and mushy. We literally threw them away and walked out completely disgusted. DO NOT COME HERE FOR BUBBLE TEA!

Food's not bad...but I wouldn't say it's good, either. The noodles in my pork noodle salad were clumped together at one end, indicating a certain lack of care in the kitchen. For a place that specializes in noodles, this is a red flag. Did they forget how to cook noodles from one bowl to the next? Some of my vegetables tasted like soap. At least that seems to indicate they're washing them. I guess. Anyway, it's convenient and has lots of parking, but I won't go out of my way to eat here.

So lunch was me and a few other guys from the office. One guy who generally refuses to eat any place that doesn't have ketchup on the table. The other guys are Korean and Vietnamese. The service is pretty rude for sure. In fact they forgot to take one of our orders and the waiter was genuinely miffed that we called him back to the table to take the order. The Vietnamese guys absolutely love this place and come here every week. They especially like the goi koin which are a done pretty well here. They all think that the pho is some of the best on the east side. I had the salad rice noodles with pork and an egg roll and it was pretty good. The egg roll is crunchy and has a nice filling. The All American guy ordered a pork and beef combination and actually really liked it. He even added some Siracha to the mix. I wouldn't make a trip from Seattle for this joint, but if you're on the East Side it's a pretty good choice.

My other favorite place was closed - again - for remodeling and went here instead for lunch. Not bad at all. The Pho is pretty good, the prices are reasonable and service is decent. I do get a little nervous that the order is usually not written down, but after going here a few times, they've always gotten it right. Friends I go with usually order something other than Pho and haven't heard any complaints.

I say four stars because they are as you say it is what it is. Pho is good, it doesn't tingle "awesome" on my tongue but the ones that do have great pho taste are really dirty places. Good enough pho Price not as cheap as it used to be back in the O days Clean enough The girls are nice Service is quick Expected experience The Four star is really because after a crazy night you can order "togo" pho to start off your day right. Their packaging is AWESOME, meat and noodles in one box the soup in the next. Love it! There shouldn't be any complaints, it's cheap food and that's how they're taught to be with their customers even if taught at all. Deal with it or don't at all. You get what you pay for!

Since the new owners took over about a year ago, the quality of food and service has improved dramatically. First, the meats gotten better, I believe they use higher quality beef. Second, the soup is hotter and vegetables are fresher, which is extremely important for Pho. The service has gotten better and friendlier. Among 3 or 4 other pho restaurants in the neighborhood, Pho Tai is definitely the best for Pho noodles.

The real skinny: rude service, terrible soup. I moved here a couple years ago and I have to say I've yet to be incredibly impressed w/ the food here. I've made the mistake of trusting some of the reviews off this site and other reviewer websites and tried them out because the reviews were good. Well I did it again w/ this place. Ya, it only had 3 stars but I was dying to have some Pho Tai and have yet to find a place in the area that has it. Well I have to say I was really dissatisfied. I first walked up to the door, and I see about 6 young kids all in yellow shirts sitting at a table facing the window, staring at me. I walked in and realized they all work there. No one says a word to me as I walk up to the empty register area. Finally I ask for a take-out menu and let them know it's the first time I've been there, and the girl just points over to the bar where the menus were. Uhm ok, would it kill you to be friendly and utter something to me? Anyways, I didn't care...if the food was good I'd deal w/ unfriendly staff. Well people, the food was DEFINITELY not good. I ordered a seafood soup that says on the menu it has "crab, shrimp, squid, scallops". Crab = sugary sweet imitation crab, shrimp and squid = rubber. The soup base was also very sweet, so I tried to cover up the taste w/ lotsa peppers and lime juice but it didn't help. I also ordered a beef soup for my man and I tried it out and it was also sweet and not tasty. We both ended up tossing everything away and ate Stouffers instead. Maybe some of the reviewers on here that gave them good reviews have either not had good Pho Tai before and don't know any better or they just have different taste than me, but overall I would never go back there again.

Used to come here about once a month, but recently, poor service caused me to rate them down by a star. The staff lingered around the restaurant floor while several tables with dishes awaited to be bussed. No effort was made to tidy up the place during a slower period during dinnertime. My old favorite, the beef stew, has also been less than inspiring the last few times. Feels like they either lightened on the spices or used a cheaper cut of beef.

Pretty good food at good prices. I had the Teriyaki which was swimming in sauce. Had some chewy bits of meat but that is pretty common with all the places around.

Relatively inexpensive and decent pho. Their noodles weren't too soft and I could actually pick them up without breaking which is hard to find in inexpensive pho restaurant. Occasionally bugs do annoy me... still one of the better pho restaurant in eastside.

  • Mercedes S.

Well, if you're good with feeling like you're in a cafeteria rather than an actual restaurant for the sake of getting some affordable and tasty pho, then you've come to the right place. But if you're the type of person who prefers some... oh I don't know, atmosphere... then keep looking. Because you are going to sit in a rickety booth with top 40 blaring on the radio, but an enormous bowl of steamy, hearty, cold-curing magic will appear before you in a matter of minutes. And if you're like me and enjoy putting your cardiovascular health to the test by drinking Vietnamese coffee, you won't be disappointed by the stuff here. Pro's- Delicious, fast, somewhat cheap. Con's- Somehow Chris Brown doesn't seem to suit enjoying ethnic cuisine.

Goyza and Pho worth driving for! Took my 8 year old here and service was fast, food was delicious, and they catered to a more mild palette of my daughter. Asked if they should leave out cilantro and onions from Pho and took the time to make for her tastes! Come here on occasion and will keep coming back.

Pho Tai is a pretty decent place for a quick meal. Really good prices for generous portions. I came here with my family for dinner. 7 of us got seated right away. All of us ordered pho in "small" size. We were all surprised how big the "small" bowls were. They definitely don't skimp out on the meat like most pho places. However, I didn't like the broth a whole lot, too much MSG for me that it tasted artificial.

    (3)
  • Jodi P.

I always get the #32 Noodle Salad bowl .. I'm NEVER disappointed. This place is great and the prices are fair. Great Pho as well. My fiancé got the Grilled chicken rice plate and it came with a large side of cucumber salad .. It was delicious. The only place I get Vietnamese on the eastside ! It's a pretty basic atmosphere, but I'm here for the tasty food not a waterfall presentation. The best restaurants are the hole in the walls.

  • Nikita G.

Very nice Pho. This was my first time and really wanted to eat some nice Pho, I wasn't disappointed. The place doesn't look brand new, but the colors and presentation feels decent and warm. I staff is friendly and our food was served in no time. We ordered a mango bubble juice with mango jelly, it was yummy.

By far the best pho in the Bellevue area. I think it's Korean owned because the broth is a lot clearer and less greasy, which is the way Koreans like their soups. Hence I do see a fair amount of Koreans sitting around me. My parents are picky eaters when it comes too salty and fatty foods. But they love this place and wanna go here almost every time I'm in town.

  • Katy D.

I was going to eat here for lunch. Then I saw a cockroach crawling around near the register. I know bugs happen, but seeing it right before ordering is a no go for me, sorry. Can't speak of the food obviously but still worth a 1 star review to me.

    (1)
  • Rohan K.

First off, they only have a beef broth so if you are vegetarian or don't eat beef, avoid the Pho here. The beef broth is very light and could surely use some more flavor. It lacks that depth and fragrance that broths are supposed to have. The good thing about the Pho was the meat. Very fresh and tender with a generous portion. The tofu spring rolls were really bad with almost no flavor. I don't think I'll be going back here soon since there's better options.

    (3)
  • Gabriel C.

No 15 ($7.50) - 4/5. Flavorful and fragrant broth, not overly salty (or overly seasoned with MSG). Ordered the small size and had an ample amount of noodles and more meat (brisket, tendon, tripe and flank) than I expected compared to the typical pho places.

So I'm boring and come in here to grab a bowl of beef pho with extra basil and jalapeño peppers. Their broth is flavorful and my preference on the Eastside. Their takeout is awesome too. We ordered for 50 people and they were delivered in individual packages. Everyone loved it.

It's like the cheap fast food version of an already cheap fast food kinda cuisine. Meat quality is meh, noodles are kind of clumpy and took a lot of massaging to loosen them up but it's kind of delightfully cheap and gross in the way that MacDonald's is. I didn't come for the Michelin rating, folks, so no harm, no foul. Just don't expect to write home saying it was phobulous. Service is fast and friendly :)

[Dine-In] I'm likin' it. This place is probably underrated. In my opinion, this is still the best pho in the area and one of my favorite pho places to eat. The service is speedy -- especially on days when I'm really hungry and could eat a horse -- that's when it puts a extra smile on my face and the other day, they did just that. Soup is consistent, which I don't see often at most places. I'm pretty sure the servers know my face by now. I go to this place pretty often and they've continuously been acknowledging and helpful especially on days when I want to be complicated (aka never ordering what's actually on the menu). I think the only thing about this place is that occasionally they give lemon instead of lime which is fine with me! Dishes Ordered (I'm a creature of habit): #17 with meatballs and 1 deep-fried eggroll.

Love this place! The pho is always amazing! The broth is delicious and the noodles are never soggy or soft! Just the right bounce in the bite! The meat is great quality and not very fatty! I always get the Pho Thai with extra meat. I would recommend this place to anyone. Be ware however, the service is sometimes not the best as I think they hire younger folks who have never served before. But the owners as super nice and always day hello!
