I treated myself to lunch on the patio. It was delicious chicken and artichokes pasta and a to die for cream based sauce. Victor, my waiter, was very nice I was the only one on the patio but he gave me good, consistent, attentive service. The meal was and the service and the location was a great value. I'm thrifty. Andiamo is not cheap but it is a great value for a treat. Location across from the 'Bellevue Library is convenient. This is a hidden gem ob North Bellevue.

The food was great. Our service was phenomenal. Moises treated us very well. Thanks for the great experience. We'll definitely be back again!

This three star review is honestly a three and a half. The deciding factor between rounding up and rounding down was, simply, my tiebreaker. My tiebreaker is and always has been customer service. I have dined here on a few occasions, but my experiences have lacked consistency. Food: the food is both outstanding and subpar. Their mushroom ravioli is to die for. It has rich, delectable flavors that will leave you feeling quite satisfied. However, the other pasta dishes are no better than something I could make, and I'm no chef. I've even frequently experienced undercooked pasta and vegetables. Service: so here's what pushed my could-a-been-a four star review to a three star review. The service is terrible. Every time I've eaten here I've had a different server and their attentiveness to customers is about the only consistent thing about this establishment. Each one I've had has essentially parked me in a corner and vanished, only to return after long intervals to take your order or bring you your food. Good luck getting a refill on water. In conclusion, if you want some good Italian food, feel free to eat her. Just make sure to order the mushroom ravioli and don't have high expectations for service.

Andiamo is my favorite Italian place in Bellevue. Two things that never disappoint; the linguine with clams (white wine sauce) and the mushroom ravioli. They are both spectacular and not to be missed. I recommend coming in on Tuesdays, every bottle of wine is half price, and they've got some killer selections that pair famously with their cuisine. Trust me, it's worth stopping by!

The service is bad ... Really bad. And they often forget butter with complementary bread . Food is just okay if you get on time

Andiamo was a great experience for us. The restaurant is intimate and comfortable, easily found in downtown Bellevue. Our waiter, Donato, was attentive without being intrusive and was very personable. I went with the Veal Saltimbocca. Good choice, if I do say so myself. Excellent flavor and the portion was perfect. The same holds true for the creme brûlée I had for dessert All in all, a great dinner. If you're looking for a romantic place in Bellevue, Andiamo is it.

My husband and I travel to Bellevue regularly and we have often remarked that we want to try Andiamo. The atmosphere was nice with subdued lighting and a quaint setting. I ordered the salmon special and my husband ordered the lasagna. Unfortunately the lasagna arrived cold in the middle and salty, and my salmon was luke warm. When we asked about when the lasagna was made we were told it had been made the day before, so it was not fresh. Both dishes had to be sent back. They returned with the salmon being hot enough but the lasagna was barely warm. In exchange for food that was sub-par, we were only offered a free glass of house chianti. The food quality did not match the $90 bill. We were looking forward to this restaurant experience and unfortunately we will not be returning, as it did not live up to our expectations.

On an evening I was going to the Ramsey Lewis performance with my Bellevue lady friend prior to the performance, I was in a quandary as to like what Restaurant I want to eat at because Bellevue has so few fine establishments. Like I mean are there any good places in Bellevue you can eat and not get stuck with Chef Boyardee? After all I'm from Ruston Washington not North Tacoma. Going through the Yelp list of restaurants, I came upon Adiamo. Being from the east coast where e ste all food snobs, and experts on Italiano food, but as you see there is no Little Italy in Seattle or Bellevue and you guys don't know what good pizza is, I looked at their menu and it was very very remarkable. So to make a long story short my lady friend from Bellevue who is a realtor if you need to buy or sell a home give her a call, had salmon piccata which was out of this world. I on the other hand inhaled the chicken parmesan with linguini in olive oil butter and garlic even a true Sicilian would say "oy vey " overall the service was excellent, and the food was very very good. I would love to give it a 4.5 but Yelp does not allow that, shame on you. And the only reason why I did not give it a five star was there was no Is Boco on the menu. My waiter wad Moises not the Ten Commandments guy, who is attentive but not intrusive. Service was a 5.

They ruined our Valentine's Day dinner. I want to say that we were so excited about going to this place for Valentine's Day. We had been once before and really enjoyed ourselves, so I made reservations a week out. When we got there for our 7 pm reservation , we were forced to stand in a crowd inside the door for over half an hour before we were finally seated. There was no organization, people were just randomly being seated, almost in a "whoever makes the most fuss" sort of way, despite everyone having given their names. One couple was told they were next (and had been waiting for over an hour!) and I saw 4 other couples seated before them. Anyway, we finally made it to a table and it was dirty! (pic posted) They did not clean the table for at least 15 minutes. Looking around, we saw that others were suffering the same fate. There was one staff person running around confused, clearing tables for those that made a fuss. When the previous diners dishes were finally removed, we decided to roll up our dirty table cloth so that he would notice us. We did this, because the couple at the next table were actually served water on their dirty table and had to point it out. We were taking no chances. Finally, the waiter replace our rolled up, dirty table cloth for a fresh one and tossed some silverware and one napkin on our table. It was sort of assembly line style. Walk out with clean cloths, put them on 4 tables. Return with a handful of silver, toss them on each table. Walk out with napkins, some get them, some don't. So... We arranged our own silverware and my husband let me have the napkin. How romantic! During this, several couples were just walking out, fed up. We decided to laugh and make the best of it, since there was no way we would get in anywhere else on this short of notice. After about 20 minutes of sitting there, we each were grateful to receive a small wine glass of water and one menu. We never were offered any wine list or any thing else to drink. We watched one couple actually open their own wine bottle and pour it themselves. We were shocked to find out that they had only a special Valentine's day menu available. (THIS WAS NOT ON THE WEBSITE OR POSTED!) Another couple left at this point for this reason. When we finally flagged down the waiter (the guy clearing tables), we confirmed that the 3 entrees listed were all that was available. The kicker? They were charging $49 per person. No options. Still we stayed. I ordered the soup and the pear gorgonzola ravioli, my only option. My husband ordered the salad and the salmon. A few minutes later they waiter came out carrying about 5 plates of the appetizer (caprese) and dropped one in the middle of each table. No appetizer plates, my husband still did not have a napkin, and our water was empty. We ate off the same plate and were thankful to at least be chewing at this point as it was after 8. Another 15-20 minutes later and the waiter showed up with 2 salads. I corrected him and asked for my soup. It came out cold, after my husband had completed his salad. It was inedible. Finally our dinner arrived. At this point I was about to cry. The laughter was gone. My anticipated Valentines dinner was cold ravioli, (about 7 pieces) thrown on a plate with a piece of pear. It was so sugary I could not eat it. The ravioli was so chewy! I took one bite and just pushed my plate away. To be fair, my husband said his salmon was good. Though the potatoes and veggies on his plate were cold and rubbery. I told the waiter about it and he just cleared my plate and walked away. No offer of anything else. At this point, we joined the pack headed for the door. I was so disappointed. I tried to talk to someone about our ticket or to complain, but no one would give us time of day. We ended up just leaving without paying. I cannot tell you how awful it was, but I have tried. I will never go back. I will be broadcasting to all who will listen to not go there for Valentine's Day. This is a special evening that should be enjoyed. We chose to enjoy it at a nice restaurant in a romantic setting. Andiamos turned our romantic dinner into a circus show. I am so disappointed. We ended up eating at Denny's. Shame on them.

The ambiance is romantic and the food is decent; but for the price, there are better options nearby. My friend and I came here before a lecture at the Bellevue Library. Danube was closed for renovation so we had no other alternative. One thing to note is that the front door is REALLY heavy so you get to use muscle before you can enter. The open kitchen was interesting as you can see the chef doing the cooking. The server was friendly as he greeted my friend and I when we entered and seated us promptly. There was an extensive wine list but we opted not to drink. The menu had multiple selections of specialty items so my friend and I changed our minds several time. Eventually, she settled on the pear and gorgonzola ravioli with walnut-gorgonzola sauce ($22) and I went for rosemary chicken ravioli which was the special of the day. The portion size was definitely not huge here. I got maybe five raviolis. The pesto sauce that came with the ravioli was nicely made. I tried a bit of my friend's pear and gorgonzola ravioli. It seemed like the pear was only an ornament and there were no pear in the actual ravioli. The walnut sauce was nice and the dish was flavorful but it was hard to get excited about it. For dessert, I got the tiramisu and my friend got the panna cotta. The tiramisu was decent but it seemed like they only make one fruit puree for the day. The tiramisu and the panna cotta came with the same puree. There was nothing wrong with the puree but it was not exciting either. The whole meal including tips cost me close to $40. The server was really kind in splitting the bill by what we each ordered. He also pushed the really heavy door for us so that we can exit. So I think the service is alright but the food is definitely just mediocre for the price.

Delicious food! And great wine selection. I went in with my mom with out any reservations and we were sat right away. Bread with olive oil and vinegar comes with the meal and the service was great. I had the ravioli and my mom had the linguini with clams, I believe, and it was so yummy. I will definitely be going back!

Stay away!! Least romantic Valentine's dinner ever... We went for Valentine's Day and were seriously disappointed. First of all, they had us crammed in like sardines - hardly a romantic ambiance. My sister (we went on a double date) had to ask the couple behind us to move their table a bit since they were literally back to back. Because it was Valentine's Day they had only a special Valentine's day menu available (THIS WAS NOT TOLD TO ME WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION!), with only 4 entrees available, none of which anyone at the table really wanted. The worst part? They were charging $49 per person, quite a markup when their regular dishes run in the $20 range, appetizers and desserts around $10... for no good options. We were sad they didn't have their regular menu as well (my sister was looking forward to lasagna), but with no other options we stayed (really wish we hadn't!!). First off they brought us some bread. My husband asked for oil and balsamic (hardly a crazy request at an Italian restaurant! The waiter said he was unsure if he could bring it out, then returned with butter, explaining that they had to take the O&V off the tables earlier and he wasn't sure if he was allowed to bring it back out. What?? Our main waiter eventually brought us our request. Our opening course was a caprese salad that was shared between couples and consisted of one slice of tomato and mozzarella per couple... We then received our appetizers - my husband had the zucchini soup, I the starter salad. Both were fine, though my salad was pretty dry. I was going to ask the waiter for extra dressing on the side, but he didn't come back until it was time for the next course. The Linguine ended up being pretty mediocre. The prawns and the pasta were overcooked and the crab meat was barely there. The sauce was fine. We asked for pepper and our waiter brought us little salt and pepper shakers... Really?? At the beginning of the meal, my sister asked if there were any other options than the Panna Cotta (the only dessert on the Valentine's Day menu). The waiter said he'd look into it, but the kitchen was pretty cleared out except for the ingredients for what was on the menu. Her date is lactose intolerant, and was hoping for something that at least wasn't entirely made of milk. Come dessert, another waiter just brought out the Panna Cotta for both of us - one per each couple. If felt pretty lame to have the split dessert for the price, but after one bite I realized the bland mush they brought us wasn't worth it anyways. The berry syrup they had on top was so gross! The waiter came with our bill another 15-20 minutes, saw our untouched desserts and asked if he could bring us something else - tiramisu, etc - and my sister was pretty annoyed since she'd asked for other options earlier, and at this point we just wanted to get out of there. We ended up going to Belle Pastry on Main Street for some French macaroons. It's pretty clear this establishment does not care about their customers, both from the service we received, and the fact that their V-day menu was a blatant rip-off. Their regular menu/service on a less busy night could be better, but there's no way I'm ever going back to find out. If I ever get a craving for nice Italian food again, I'll definitely go to Volterra or somewhere downtown instead.

Food: 2/5 - calimari fritti (deep-fried with marinara) - veal scallopini marsala - pear and gorgonzola ravioli The calimari was decent. It was a bit crispy and the sauce had a little kick to it. The veal was overcooked and small-portioned. It came with some crappy veggies and angel hair pasta. The menu said it came with potatoes, but it didn't. The marsala sauce was buttery. My girlfriend ate two raviolis and was disgusted. The gorgonzola flavor totally overpowered the dish. She also noted that the pear centerpiece came from a can. For a specialty, the ravioli was completely underwhelming. Service: 3/5 We ate dinner when the restaurant was practically empty. Including us, the waiter had three tables to manage. He was polite and offered helpful tips for reheating our leftovers (which we threw away). I drank my water and my glass was empty for about five minutes. I expected a bit more attention when the restaurant was nearly empty. Price: 1/5 I didn't buy any alcohol because it was overpriced. I ended up paying $50 after tip and prime card discount for some pretty mediocre food. Overall it was a bad value.

This is the third and last time I will eat at Andiamos. Food was ok but service was sub-par. We sat for at least ten minutes waiting for bread. I finally had to ask for it and was told "it's coming!" With a tone from the server that I should just sit there and be quiet! Same rude server all three times. There are plenty of other restaraunts in Bellevue that appreciate my business apparently not this one! Tried three times, I give up.

I ordered chicken breast, it was a piece of plastic, hardly I was able to cut and chew. It was not fresh at all because of the smell and texture.

Went here with a friend for dinner last night, hadn't heard anything about it before nor had I ever visited. When we walked in the door it was absolutely perfect, low lighting and quiet- my favorite type of restaurant. It was the perfect Italian dinner experience, we even had a nice little candle on the table. The waiters were attentive, polite and charming. The food was beautiful and most importantly, it tasted amazing! I got the pasta puttanesca and it was better than my mom's (don't tell her I said that!) and my friend got the mushroom risotto. We couldn't keep our forks off of eachother's plate! We then ordered dessert- tiramisu and creme brulee. The waiter returned to kindly and apologetically tell us they were out, so instead we ordered the apple strudel and pannacotta. When he arrived with our desserts, he informed us they were on the house. Not only were they free, they were delicious! We were so surprised and grateful, such a treat. I am suprised to see negative reviews on here, must be some seriously picky restauranteurs! We had a perfect evening and I can't wait to go back again. Food: A+ Service: A+ Ambience: A+

Great place! Nice, romantic atmosphere, attentive service, and great food. I gave this plce four stars because the calimari was overdone, but the other items were fantastic. Nice warm bread was on the table, and I loved the pear and gorganzola pasta(see photo). I took some deserts home with me that were average but its hard to take them to go and have them still be good...

The service here is excellent. I work in customer service, so that is an important quality to me. I clumsily spilled my espresso promptly after the server made it. Immediately, without my saying anything other than an apology for knocking it over, he brought me a new one. We were there early for lunch on a Wednesday. I ordered the penne con broccoli, which was very good. It was perfectly seasoned and the broccoli was nicely cooked, still a little firm. The pasta was a touch overdone for my taste, but I tend to like my pasta classically al dente. My companion ordered a caeser with wild salmon (it's normally farmed, but she wanted the fish of the day on a salad). For $16 (normally jjust $8 for a plain caeser), it was a generous portion. The salmon was nicely cooked, and perfectly seasoned. Their caeser dressing could stand a little more lemon, but it was still good and traditionally made with eggs and anchovies, as it should be. Over all, it is wonderful, and excellent spot. I'lll be back for sure.

Pleasant, romantic atmosphere. Nice, agreeable waiter. The bread was not interesting at all, which is unusual. The Caesar salad was not served very cold and was disappointing. I ordered the spaghetti à la carbonara. The pasta was cooked well but the sauce lacked any real taste. Just bland. My husband ordered the linguine and clam sauce which he liked. Overall the waiter was great and the cook needs help. It is overpriced for the quality.

This was a Valentines Day Massacre. Do I have to give at least one star? Andiamo really deserves ZERO stars for the disastrous dining experience that my wife and I had during last night's dinner. To keep it brief....the food tasted like it came from a can. The Zucchini soup was cold, salads were average at best. My wife had the Crab Linguini off their pathetic Valentines Day menu. Guess what? No crab to be found on her plate anywhere. Looks like they just opened a can of Ragu, poured it over rubbery linguini, and added 3 shrimp. She ate about half of it only because she was hungry. I had the Salmon. It came lukewarm and slathered with so much orange marmalade sauce that it didn't taste like fish anymore. Just a sugary, goopey mess accompanied with a slightly cold vegetable medley that just couldn't save the dish. Finally, the dessert was flan that was covered in a kind of strawberry compote that made the dessert too sweet and cheap-tasting for us to finish after about 3 bites. Total bill for two Valentines Day specials and two glasses of wine? $130. Wow. We could have gone to Olive Garden and had a better dinner for less than half the price. The restaurant had clearly overbooked the place with several couples forced to stand in the cramped entry way for a long time despite having reservations. We got there at 6:15pm and were seated "at the last available table" right next to the front door! The front door opened every other minute and let a cold rush of air blow all over the front half of the restaurant. Once the waiter bumped our table trying to work his way around various couples waiting to be seated and almost sent our wine glasses full of red wine right into our laps! We had waiters/busboys clamoring all around our table throughout our dinner. It was the most chaotic and stressful "nice dinner out" that we have had in a very long time. And we will NEVER go back. Overall, this was a big disappointment. The food was terrible. The service was mediocre. The hostess was incompetent. The ambiance was chaotic. And the price was way too much for what we got. Perhaps on a regular night, it's a different story. But, based on our experience last night, we will never go to the trouble to find out. Our advice? Save yourself the trouble and forget about Andiamo. You can go to Maggiano's a few blocks away and get a better meal and a better value.

There are better places in Bellevue to get Italian food. My boyfriend and I took a friend here for dinner to celebrate their birthday. The place was clean and we were seated quickly as we had made reservations. Our waiter, who never told us his name, came over, gave us menus and walked away. We asked for recommendations and he told us what was popular on the menu, but did so as he was walking away. This happened several times throughout the night. His lack of customer service was apparent in his attitude. When we asked for a wine recommendation, he was too quick to ask "what our budget was for the wine". The food: The pear and Gorgonzola ravioli was too sweet, tasted like melted ice cream and was too pricey for what you got. The lasagna was too salty and came drenched in a thick tomato cream sauce. Towards the end of the night, we saw our server flirting with a female patron who was by herself. He lingered with her for awhile before tending to his other tables. He even sprinkled fresh pepper or something on her plate (we assume in the shape of his phone #). Overall, the place was cold inside with the AC blowing at 7pm, the food wasn't that great and was overpriced and the service left a lot to be desired. Better to go elsewhere.

This was atrocious: like others, we attempted to dine here for Valentine's Day (with a reservation made well in advance). We walked into what may as well have been a war zone, with the hostess telling us that there were no tables and suggesting that maybe I try having a drink at the Courtyard Marriott a couple blocks away instead. Are you kidding? Suggesting I go to the Courtyard instead of the Valentine's Day dinner I've reserved a table for at your restaurant? There was no attempt being made to take names, understand the order in which people had arrived, make good on the fact that what seems like dozens of people must have been turned away on a night where it's impossible to get a table anywhere decent within a 20 mile radius. We wound up leaving, and Valentine's Day turned into takeout Chinese food. I don't know how many places I can find to leave my negative review and try to share this experience, but until I hear from the business in an attempt to make things right, I'm going to find as many places as I can! This was an incredible screw up on the one night of the year where it's *imperative* that restaurants get things right, and there was zero attempt made to make up for their self-created shortcomings.

Food was good but server kinda missing in action. In fairness we sat outside (extremely bad chairs out here) so wait or may have been busy inside. Had to ask for water refills bread replacements etc. would cone back but sit indoors mostly as chairs and rabies outside are small metal crappy stuff

Yummy yummy yummy! You've got to try their seafood pasta, it's creamy but so delicious and so worth the calories! Also the brushetta appetizer was amazing + fresh! Service is a bit slow, but in the end with the delicious food, it's all worth it! Plus there's garage parking for customers so your not scrambling to find street parking. Great romantic spot and its not so noisy either. Enjoy!

We ran across the street from Danube after a horrible dinner and very sad dessert menu...thankfully we saw Andiamo across the street. We both had the Tiramasu and Cappuccinos and were very impressed with both....we will be visiting for dinner soon!!!

Please ignore some of the bad reviews. I'm glad I did. A lot of the bad reviews is based on "service". I don't think this is a fair way to judge the restaurant because service tends to be subjective and some people can be very impatient and inconsiderate during high revenue times, like dinner (I used to be a server). I ignored the reviews and decided to have a dinner with 7 other people here. We absolutely ENJOYED it and would definitely go back. We ordered 2 antipastis to start as well as an order of escargot (which then turned into 2 because that's how good it was). off of the entree menu, we ordered the - pear and gargonzola ravioli - cannelloni (ran out of lasagna) - spinach and ricotta ravioli - wild mushroom ravioli (the best one out of the vegetarian options) - cappellini with shrimp and crab - calamari - and I honestly can't remember the other 2 For dessert we had 3 tiramisus, 2 chocolate/coffee ice cream/gelato thing that's actually not on the online menu as well as the creme brulee (we couldn't stop eating it, it was SO good. I should have ordered that over the tiramisu). That being said, our bill was crazy expensive but the food was honestly fantastic. They also have awards on the wall, which shows they won "best restaurant of bellevue" for 2009, 2010 and 2011. We went around 7pm on a friday evening. It was busy but I have no complaints about the service. Personally, i like the generic "take my drink, take my appetizer, give me my entree, offer me dessert, bring me the bill". Between all that there's obviously the refilling of water and asking "how is everything" but I don't (and don't want them to) expect the servers to constantly watch over me like a hawk. The restaurant was a little dark at times but the lights were turning on and off so it might have just been malfunctioning. Please give this restaurant a chance. We were all really impressed (and surprised by the bad reviews). Don't forget to make reservations!!!! they look like they can get pretty busy sometimes.

We went out to Andiamo for our 3rd anniversary and we were really wanting a special night. Andiamo delivered! I will admit I was a little worried when I entered the restaurant. The place was full (which is usually a good sign) and the only table left in the restaurant was next to a larger group with kids. Usually I would not be such a high maintenance customer, but it was our anniversary, so I kindly asked the server if we could wait for the next available table. They obliged and we were seated at a great little spot in the back with nice mood lighting. The service was superb (the waiter even showed me the trick for get the wax off the bottle of wine we brought). The restaurant offers a corkage fee for $20, which was worth it for us! For dinner I enjoyed a delightful wild mushroom ravioli and my husband had a HUGE steak paired with gnocchi with a Gorgonzola sauce. Both pastas were homemade. The food was absolutely delicious! We were seeking a wonderful Italian meal for our special occasion and Andiamo was the perfect choice.

Definitely not worth $18+ for the pasta here. Chewy, mediocre pasta and slow, subpar service. There are much better Italian food options out there, especially for the price.

Eh, nothing special in my opinion. We went here based on recommendations from co-workers and have been here a few times now. The portions were huge for the entrees. Pasta was well cooked. The last time we went here we were given the wrong pasta for both the dishes we ordered. Not sure what happened there, but we didn't care to ask.

We went with another couple and none of us were very pleased. Two stars b/c my andiamo salad wasn't horrible (drown in balsamic though) and my husband's carbonara was 'ok but pretty salty' in his words. However our friend's caesar salad literally could have came out of a Fresh Express salad kit as all the lettuce was brown, and when she complained he offered to bring her a new one, she politely refused, and he said 'Ok Ill get a you a new one' (example of the type of service we received). Even though a 'new one' was brought it was still browned lettuce, as was the lettuce on the escargot plate. And her date's veal marsala was subpar, sauce did not taste of marsala wine (which I am familiar with). It tasted more mushroom than anything in my opinion.... We had to ask twice for waters to be refilled, no one even offered to take my husband's drink order, and even though the waiter could clearly hear us complaining about the food as he was literally standing at our table clearing the bread vinegar/oil plates - not once did he even acknowledge it or offer the manager. Infact when the check came and the brown bag express salad was still on it, she politely asked if it could be removed as she clearly said she did not want it (even though he insisted on bringing one regardless) - to which he replied 'Uh well I dont know Ill have to ask my manager' .... really? At this point we were just floored with the lack of service and the poor quality in general we experienced. For the price of the entrees you would expect better service and better quality of food. We will NOT be returning.

We chose Andiamo for Valentine's day. It is usually a nice intimate neighborhood restaurant, with decent quality and we've enjoyed it before. We had a reservation for 7:30. They couldn't seat us until 8:00 even with the reservation. They had a very limited menu and the food was haphazardly prepared. We had to ask for simple things like bread plates. They had added tables...so many that it felt crowded and very uncomfortable. Altogether not romantic at all. We were there so late we saw them pick up the extra tables.

I went with 2 stars for the following reasons: 1) Although the sauces were delicious, the pasta itself was undercooked. I tried my husband's dish and it was undercooked too. It's a bit bad when an Italian place can't get the pasta right. 2) The service was pretty god awful. One of our party had to ask for cutlery when the mains arrived, and instead of checking to make sure everyone else was ok, the waiter just brought back one set of cutlery when several of the rest of us needed forks as well. We also had to wave him down to request more drinks through the night, even though the place was pretty empty. 3) Dessert was nice but way too rich... I couldn't finish it. On the plus side: 1) My salad starter was delicious 2) The restaurant was quite cute 3) Serving sizes were appropriate... not too large or too small 4) I've had a LOT worse On balance, I don't think I'd bother to go back.

I took the Italian-food-loving significant other here for his birthday dinner. It's one of those places you drive past and think "ooh, that looks like a good place to try!". Well, I made the reservation a week early for a Saturday night, and off we went. He had the tortellini in proscuitto sauce and I had the cannelloni. Both were DELICIOUS. They were both extremely rich and almost decadent. The chicken, veal, and mushrooms blend in the cannelloni was to die for. So why only 3 stars? Service was practically nonexistent. Prices were much, much too high for even food as tasty as that. The place felt... pretentious. The entire atmosphere was rather snotty. We made the best of it, however, and we enjoyed the food. I just don't think we'll ever come back here.

We used to frequent a place called Salute in Downtown Bellevue but it has since closed. We found this great little Italian joint in the heart of Bellevue. I was a fan from my first bite! The food is so fresh and so tasty. The Oh so many wines they offer are absolutly delicious. The wait staff is super nice and they love to recommend something to you. I love the pear and cheese ravioli its my favorite dish. It is not very expensive and its a great qaunt place to celebrate something special or just for a casual meal. You get free fresh hot bread on the table with yummy oil The appetizers are wonderful as well, we love the calamari. Its not a great place for a large group because its a pretty small joint but you should def try it out if you have not yet. Its worth your time and your dough.

We have eaten here twice and the food and service have been great both times!! Also, I don't know why this place is marked as having no outdoor seating - they have six or eight two tops outside on the sidewalk and both times we've eaten there it has been on a warm summer evening and we have enjoyed the food, wine, service and wonderful weather. I can't wait to go again!! Oh and don't forget to order the cream of zucchini soup (fantastic!) and the apple strawberry crisp (so unique and wonderful!)!

I am not sure why people are hating on Andiamo. I find their food delicious, the service excellent, and atmoshphere imtimate and romantic. I havent been here in over a year and can still taste the brown butter butternut squash ravioli I had here. It was phenomenal. The salads are good as are the desserts. I like this place. Probably a 4.25, but I am rounding up for the others with no taste.

Another place that started out good and has steadily declined. When we first moved here they had just opened and the food was 4-stars. Now, lunch service is marginally better than dinner but it's a bit pricey. Dinner is too expensive for what you get. Last time I was there the carbonara was like a plate of glue. My friend said his sandwich was just ok, but not $8 ok.

Dined here last night (6-2-11) for our anniversary (this would be about fourth or fifth visit in the last few years). Although it was a Thursday night, the place was packed, including three large groups. We have always enjoyed their dishes (lasy night, we had pecorino cheese and prosciutto ham platter, eggplant parmigiana, and cappellini with shrimp and crab). Service, whether the restaurant is busy or deserted, has always been attentive and prompt. Not a great anniversary dinner with too many loud conversations nearby, but that is not the restaurant's fault. We enjoy their food, service and ambience. We will return.

Pretty mediocre restaurant but vegetarian friendly. Highly recommend their pear-gorgonzola ravioli is a must try for vegetarians. The only negative was that the ravioli was a bit tough. Also try their eggplant parmigiana. For dessert we tried the panna cotta with strawberry jam which was pretty good. I give 3 stars because of slowness of service ( the server forgot to get our check for a good 20 mins) and that the heater was not working (we &most guests froze through our dinner and had to keep our winter jackets on!).

Food was terrible, my buddy could cook much better and he's not even good. Price was much higher than should be considering the food taste and quality. The only plus was the portion was huge but too bad the taste was bad. Disclaimer: Only been here once, never will go back. I always almost finish my food unless I'm really full...I left with half my plate left.

If you consider yourself a foodie or ever been to Italy or just like fine dining, you will notice something is wrong here. This is not good food. Their house special is supposed to be pear gargonzola ravioli and it was watery sauce that tasted like dessert. No entree should be that sweet. The veal scallopini was not wrapped in prosciutto, it was super salty canadian bacon. Not sure who they think they are kidding back there in that kitchen, but this is not a good chef, not gourmet food at all and certainly not worth the price.

Oh where do I begin? ... ... ... Epilogue: My friend and I witnessed a waiter aimlessly walking back and forth, sticking his hand in a pocket, taking his phone out, dropping it back in the pocket x20 in 10 consecutive minutes. Then we spotted him outside. He was slightly swaying back and forth looking at the phone. Hope that he is taking a bus home, not driving. Sorry for my frank observation :/

My boss has the year end dinner here. Ordered mixed green salad & Veal Marsala. Wholefood has better Mixed green salad. Veal Marsala: it was served lukewarm. I asked to have it reheat and it is still not hot and sauce on the watery side. Service was so so.

Microwaved Cannelloni??? Yes, it's true, ordered their "homemade" Cannelloni and it came out cold to luke warm. No problem, asked for another. I watched the open kitchen put Cannelloni in the microwave. I timed for 4 minutes, then slathered with sauce and served. The integrity of the pasta was ruined - soft, gummy and the filling which smelled wonderful, had the microwaved texture of cat food and tasted somewhere in-between. I asked for the manager and he explained that they do so many cannellonis that this is the only way to get food out and that all restaurants microwave pre-made food. Good to know - LOL!!!! Caprese salad was superb which is why they get one star. For a $50 dinner do you expect microwaves to nuke the protein portion? Perhaps I am just pedantic but I certainly don't. Eat at your own risk - especially wearing a pacemaker.

I am a fan of this place. I found it because it was on the passport card. The dinners are pricey for pasta but my favorite is the white sauce pasta with prawns. So every year I throw a client party for my clients who have bought a house from me and the last couple of years we have had the party at andiamos. Reyees the owner shuts down the whole restaurant for my client appreciation party. And we have an appetizer, salad, three different courses and desert. And she even will set up a bar. With all the food and the booze. It is one of the best places I have found to have a private party. It is nice and cozy and everything is taken care of for you. My clients have raved about the food that they serve and they were happy i did it again this year there. There is something there for everyone.

Unfortunately I cannot rate it with zero star because yelp has not the option however it is what this "restaurant" deserves. I went there with some colleagues and thanks god they were there because the diner was fantastic, entertained and the conversation was good. This restaurant has a serious problem with the service, we had an italian speaking guy who was trying as hard as he could to do not be nice at all and he got it! Can you believe an Italian restaurant without fresh basil! well let me introduce the 1st one! I ordered a capressa salad which was served without basil because they ran out of it and I was there around 6:30 Pm.. My wife ordered a Risotto Di Mare and it was just a bad soup of rice & crappy marinara because maybe the guy also ran out of clams, moussels, etc because the seafood was not present. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was okay (I've had better before) however captured my attention that the portion was big. If you combine crappy service, bad food and $50 per person what you get is a "No go" restaurant and let me help everyone to save money by no recommending this restaurant. What I have to recognize from this restaurant is that they are CONSISTENT because the bad food and bad service is consistent and after read the reviews below, way to go folks, you are consistently bad ! If you are looking for italian food, this is not the place!

I went with a group of about 15 people with a reservation from a few days earlier. It was a hassle getting seated, they had not started setting the table when we got there. The food was just ok, except for the piece of lasagne that I got which was horrible. I think they may have run out and reheated some. It came out about 10 min later than the other food. It did not even look like the lasagne that the others had ordered. It was very, very salty and had a strong burned taste. It was almost not edible and I am not really particular. We were running late already and if the group was smaller I would have returned it. With the exception of cafeterias, food trucks, and fast food, this was just about the worst food I have ever been served. Service was poor. It took a long time to get our orders taken. It took a long time to get our food. They did not take drink orders except for wine. To top it off they never once filled the water glasses without being asked. Especially bad with over salted food. Even after being asked they would only fill that one glass. No ice in the refill that I was given. I would have given this place no stars but I was the only one with the real complaint. I understood that the other dishes ranged from fair to pretty good. I do not recommend the resturant. Especially with a group.

Andiamo has great atmosphere....dark and slightly lit up...very romantic. It's a small place and they had as many tables as they could get in there...so it was a bit cramped. Dinner wise it's not good for kiddos...we didn't see a kiddo menu. Service was good....food came out quickly. Our waiter gave a free extra pour of wine since we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Food was average. Brushetta was good, however they used those canned mushrooms, which I like, but could have been better. Mushroom ravioli was GREAT! Pear and gorgonzola ravioli was ok, a little sweet. The veal parmesan was dissapointing...sauce tasted like came from a can and the veal reminded me of the veal dinners I would get at the chow hall in the Marines. I think it's worth trying, and I'll go back eventually, but I won't get the veal again.

Not good - starting with lack of ambiance. There was no warmth in their decor - no customized painting and instead cheap wall decor that was probably gotten at a discount store such as Ross, (hey, I've gotten some cool things there - but this restaurant chose poorly). It was a Friday evening and there was no warm welcome and in fact, I don't even think there was an Italian that worked there - on the floor or in the kitchen, (which is open for all to see that there was not an Italian at the lead or following). Moving on to appetizer - smoked salmon bruschetta with mascarpone - whoops, chefs forgot to put the mascarpone on - I had to request it and put it on myself. We went with pasta. My husband had housemade meatballs and spaghetti - he liked it. I had gnocchi with red sauce - I requested some cream be added to it. The sauce was the right color...but too liquified and very salty. My house Italian wine was fine and the pour was big. Our server tripped over his words and was not very polished. All staff on the floor were male and dressed in black, which I liked. The chefs were in coats and wore gloves, which also was nice. Unfortunately there also was no warm goodbye either. We tried to like the place....but we really don't.

I'm avoiding I-5 corridor for the next few weeks just like every other smart Seatown resident. Revisiting old standbys on the eastside for lunch and dinner meetings, including Andiamo's. Pleasant room and staff, a neighborhood feel to it. Big dishes and nice wine list. I didn't argue about whether or not a giant cobb salad was considered an entree. I think it is. However, my Passport card was declined by the Man for the discount. That's ok, I don't make a habit of clipping coupons anyhow. Almost ruined a fabulous white dress shirt from juice running off the front of a Calamari steak sandwich. Striking Jackson Pollack style flourishes of dark brown dressing / saucy stuff that didn't do much for the dish, but lots of things for the couture! Fortunately, I am a freak for keeping OxyMagic in the trunk! Espresso was generous and delicious. I don't know who added the default photo but that is certainly not Andiamo food. Dog food, perhaps. Andiamo, no.

My boss takes me to Andiamo at least once a month. It is always a great lunch! It is very conveniently located in downtown Bellevue and there is always street parking within a block! The lunch menu is very reasonable for how classy the restaurant is! Definitely a great place for dinner dates too. My favorites are the Penne Pasta with Sausage and the Chicken and Rosemary Ravioli. Even during the "lunch rush" the staff is very attentive and friendly. Always amazing food and a great time at Andiamo!

Overall, was not impressed with this restaurant. I always thought you could not mess up Italian food, but this place has proven me wrong. From the very beginning, the service was slow at best, and it took forever to get our bread and even longer to get our order taken. It seemed like it was most of the staff's first day on the job and they weren't very knowledgeable of their menu. There was a huge lack of ambiance, and the restaurants telephone had a really loud annoying ring which continuously range off the hook. The food came out relatively quickly, however the food was incredibly sub par for the price per plate. Most of the food tasted as though it came out of the freezer, and my boyfriend could have made it way better at home. Everything tasted like it was missing a little something which would have made the dish better. The smoked salmon bruschetta with mascarpone appetizer was ok, though I feel like the salmon should have been a little cooked. The flavors were alright, however they were very VERY faint. I had the signature dish of Pear and Gorgonzola ravioli, which was only "so-so" and left a very odd taste in my mouth at the end of my meal. My boyfriend ended up having the tortellini in proschuitto sauce, which was more like a soup than a sauce. The only part that had flavor in the dish was the proschuitto, which there was not enough of. The tortellini also tasted like it was from a freezer bag that you can get at the grocery store. We ended up skipping dessert because we did not want to waste our money. All in all, I would not recommend this place to anyone. You can get the same quality of food at Olive Garden for about half the price with much better drink options and faster service.

My family has been coming here when our grandparents are in town for about 8 years or so maybe? It's kind of the old standby because my grandparents know where it is, and the food is nothing to complain about, so we often visit once or twice a year when they're in town. The food is always good, not great. The service is always good, sometimes great. The prices are a little much for the quality in my opinion, but it doesn't seem to bother the actual (generously) paying customers (my grandparents). We most recently visited on Christmas Eve, and it was empty except for a table or two when we got there (5:15), and got crazy by the time we left. They called to confirm my reservation earlier in the day, and told me I could come in earlier, which confused me. I asked if they were expecting to be busy, and he said they were giving each table two hours but I could come earlier. I concluded maybe they wanted us in and out of there by the time they were expecting the big rush. I think I was correct, although they did not rush us AT ALL when we were actually there (5-10 minutes late, even), which was very nice and definitely appreciated. They did first seat us at a very uncomfortable table, pushed right up against a window. My husband and I were seated with our backs pushed right against the window, and our abdomens pushed right up against the table. When our 5th person didn't show, they moved us to a table that didn't seat 5 so they could utilize the table for 5, which was fine by me because we were MUCH more comfortable, although definitely squished against the wall on the side... haha. We could tell they were trying to maximize space, but at the cost of the customer's comfort it wasn't really worth it in my opinion. We're usually seated at the booths at the back, so this was a new experience for us. We had the ribeye special, the seafood risotto, the spaghetti bolognese, several salads, and the calamari. As always, the calamari was well seasoned but slightly overcooked, with a delicious dipping sauce. The bread and dip is great. The salads were good-nothing to complain about. The ribeye came with gnocchi, but was plated with roast potatoes - asked the waiter about it, and he came out with some gnocchi. Everyone liked the gnocchi, but I thought it was pretty bad - bland sauce, and the gnocchi tasted off.. like maybe the flour was not cooked enough? I don't know, I couldn't place the familiar off taste. Ribeye was average, not great. Spaghetti also average, not great. I can't speak for the rest of the dishes as I did not taste them. Overall, I wouldn't come here on my own, but will definitely return with my grandparents when they request it, because I know I'll like my meal, even if it isn't anything special.

The white tablecloths and the service were good. The Andiamo salad was okay. The rest of the food was very weak and disappointingly ordinary. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana which was grilled but mostly uncooked. It had no seasoning and that also applied to the sauce and the cheese - all very bland. My wife said her chicken Marsala tasted more Asian than Italian. Both of our dishes came with frozen veggies which were a total waste of time. The food was very weak.

Four of us had dinner at this restaurant last Saturday, my wife and I had been here before 2-3 times and always had a good meal. I do not know what happens to restaurants that do a good a job and then all of the sudden they get complacent and it all goes to down hill but somehow raise their prices and serve bad food and give bad service. Our dinner arrived, 2 of them where like ward, 2 of the ice cold, my wife's pear & Gorgonzola ravioli whew ice cold, and my nieces husbands lasagna was cold as well, we asked the waiter to please have them re-cooked, within 3 minutes the waiter came back with the same plates the he took back with him, steaming hot, they had just stuck the plates in the microwave and reheated, do you have any idea what ravioli does when you microwave it, it turned into rubber. My diner which was Chicken Picata was OK except the fact that they put tomato sauce on the pasta that accompanied the Picata, never heard of that or have ever had Chicken or Veal Picata served that way. We didn't say anything as we where trying to have a nice and uneventful dinner. I ordered a cup of coffee after dinner, the coffee they brought was so old and burned, and you could smell it as the waiter brought it. I went up to ask for the manager, he finally came out and I mentioned the burned coffee and our meals, he proceeded to tell me that they cant cook lasagna top order, and I explained to him that you cant take ravioli and put them in the microwave, he really did not seem to concerned, but did say he would take care of it. We ordered dessert, a crème Brulee, and a gelato, my wife and I shared the crème Brulee, as I put the spoon in it I notice there was a light watery liquid at the bottom of the Brulee, and it was very grainy as if it had been over baked, needles to say another disappointment, my wife took the Brulee up to the waiter and poured out the liquid on the plate to show him there was a problem. Needles to say the waiter became rude and cold toward after my going to the manager and talking to him which ended the evening even on a worse note. I was wondering why most of the staff including our waiter was Hispanic in an Italian restaurant, including the cooks, there was always Italian staff and the cooks where not Hispanic, not that I care, but it seems somewhat strange. In today's economy why would you risk giving inferior food and serve and charging for it, I see people reviews are mostly favorable we must be talking a bout 2 different place, I personally will Never be back for any reason!!

The food was delicious and we were waited on by the owner, which was nice. She gets points from me for bringing our food to us fast, because we had a 2.5 year old with us for lunch. :-) However, the food came up for a party of 10 about when she should have brought us our check and then we had to wait a long time... not so good. Still, better to wait for the bill than the food, especially with a little kid in tow. Be warned: the prices are fairly high. $6 for a cup of soup? $11 for a lunch salad? $14.50 for penne pasta with sausage? Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but this is not bargain food. These are dinner prices... except their dinner prices are $16-24 for pasta entrees. Ouch. The wine selection is pretty good, the decor is pretty, and the service was otherwise good. Prices cost them that star, but it might be worth it to you since the food is fresh, authentic, and tasty.

I am only giving 2 stars beacuse they have been really good in the past ....... so here goes my review: went to a restaurant in downtown bellevue last nite ..... it was NOT good .....calimari was rubbery..... the lasagna was so salty it was burning my mouth.... oh did i forget to mention that the waiter forgot to put in(order) the app. order and so he brought the main course 1st..... he took it back ... brought the over cooked squid some-time later and then "brought back" the "luke-warm ... extra salty" main course.... really the only good thing was the bread....... I guess they couldn't F**** that up!! they must buy that product elsewhere........... I have eaten at this restaurant probably 6 x's and it has always been good .... but I guess I need to stick to my standard order of the Carbonara..... I know that is good..... I hope this review is taken to heart and someone listens .. because the ambiance of the restaurant is great .... and the waiter was polite and professional ... jsut really MESSED up my meal ... and I was completely looking forward to some good italian on a rainy nite ......

Andiamo was amazing. This would be prabably the 20th or so time I have been there and I have never been dissapointed. The food was amazing, the server was very nice and Tuesday's are 1/2 off wine bottles!

My only qualm is they are a little bit more fancy and expensive than they should be. Had a good lunch going with Gorgonzola and walnut pasta. Portion was about right and service was good, but there was no one else there. The pasta was light, and homemade filled with Gorg goodness. I also like the addition of nuts to most any meal. I live above a nut bar, so it comes with the territory. The meal itself was $20, but we had some card and it was a little better. Still pricey... I think the service was pretty good considering we made a 2 hour meal out of about a standard 20min meal. They were kind enough to offer coffee while we talked shop and not really bother us. Also, didn't seemed annoyed we were kicking back there. Appears Italian owned and ran. It's all good here, but price knocks them down a bit in this economy.

I love Andiamo. I have had several team lunches here, and I have also had nice dinners with my wife here. Best italian on the east side IMHO. Note, I've only eaten the tortalini (because it's so good) and my wife gets the same thing each time too... but only because when you find someone who does it right, you stick with it.

I agree with some other recent reviewers---this place is great. Our waiter has been friendly, without being intrusive, and knowledgeable about their food and wine. BF and I love going to Andiamo for romantic Italian dinners. The carbonara is great, as are the salads! and you can't beat the Tuesday night 1/2 price bottled wine special. It's a great way to try some nicer wines.

Here's a recap of how I feel about this place: The good: -Nice, cozy atmosphere -Bread was warm -House salad, French Onion Soup, and Spinach Ravioli was delicious -Awesome sauces for pastas The bad: -The tomatoes on my house salad tasted moldy -The croutons on my partner's soup were stale -My partner said that while the sauce over his lasagna was tasty, the lasagna itself tasted old. A service no no: When we arrived, there was one other group of people in the restaurant. The server twice tried to give us tables by the door in not very attractive locations. It was freezing outside and it seemed very strange for him to not give us a nice seat in the empty restaurant. We eventually got the table we wanted, but I noticed that he kept trying to sit other customers at the same dreary tables by the door. As a customer, it's a bit insulting to be seated at the worst table in an empty restaurant.

We went for dinner on a Saturday night and were very pleased with the service and the food. The staff is friendly and attentive. I have been to Andiamo's three times now, and I have always left disappointed. It is over-priced for the mediocre food it serves. The wine isn't cheap either. For a glass of wine each, an apetizer and 2 entrees, my husband and I dished out over 40$ per person ... which I feel is way too much for Andiamo's. There are a lot better Italian restaurants in the area - I think Andiamo has had its 3rd strike!

Apparently the Danube is run by the Andiamo owner as well. The drinks are really small and expensive. Chicken picatta- mediocre. The place is so quiet I think that staff has forgotten to keep in their toes. It is way laid back so the service is slow. With so much competition in the neighborhood, they really need to step it up. It's close to home but not good enough for me to keep going back. Panini is over on 108th and I always have good food, great service, good strong drinks -never disappointed!

We decided to go here because my mother had given us a gift certificate from Restaurant.com . We were able to make reservations easily via opentable.com . The waitstaff here was nice and attentive, but then again, there was only one other couple in the place. The atmosphere is nice and it's a good location, but I'd say it's the food holding this place back. Bread: it was stale! Appetizers: I had the smoked salmon on toast with marscapone and capers - and it tasted fine if not remarkable, but it was really too much. They were large slices of bread and large pieces of fish - I was expecting more of the finger food size. Main Course: I had the spaghetti carbonara, and because they chose to use bacon instead of pancetta (or I think that's the reason), it was way too salty. I could only eat about a third of it. The wine, by the glass, tasted as if it had been open a couple days. What's really killing me is I have another certificate for this place, and I'm wondering if I should give it another chance.

I love the food at Andiamo's. I am always surprised by the lack of people eating there as the food is very good. If you like Italian, then be sure to check them out. There is rarely a wait to get in to the place - even during lunch. It is located in downtown near the library. There is free parking available in the Oakwood Apartments off 110th. There is also parking on the street. It is on the corner of 110th and NE 10th.

I love this place. The lighting is soft, the tables are cozy. Every table is the romantic one although we've gone with friends and it doesn't feel odd having the candle light, it feels natural. The food is always delicious no matter what we've gotten. I find myself eating more than I'm hungry for because I enjoy the flavor. I never feel rushed, I'm always happy and satisfied when I go here. I prefer it hands down over the other big Italian place in Bellevue.

Really bad food - we had two pasta dishes, Linguine with Clams in a white wine sauce and a penne putanesca, one glass of red wine and one soft drink. The food was terrible and the bill came to over $60. What a waste of time and money! This restaurant is across the road from our apartment building but we'll never be going back!

Good deal if you have the primecard. Otherwise, the food doesn't match the price cost.

My husband took me there for my birthday with two friends, we all had been there before and liked it. I am pretty judgmental about good service and on this occasion and our previous visits, we always had a warm greeting and attentive service. I know other posts on here are to the contrary but this was our 4th visit and we have yet to see any of the lack of service some folks mentioned. We chose the place because we like the food, the portions are generous and as mentioned we always had good waiters. My husband is fussier about food than I am and he really likes their food. I like that part of Bellevue it's easier to get to and quieter than near Bellevue Square and there is free parking.

Just came back and I dont usually write reviews, but I feel compelled. Let me say the nice things first: the desert. It was incredible. We did not make dinner reservations and wandered in as an overflow from another place. I was feeling like Italian food anyway, it looked very promising. We were told the valentines day special was $48 per person. No problem, we were in a good mood and were looking forward to a lovely 4-course meal. I have to say it was a very dissappointing meal. The caprese salad was good, but pitifully small! There were 3 tiny slices of fresh mozarella, I moved around the green stuff to double check that I had not missed any. We ordered lamb well done and wild mushroom ravioli as entrees. The lamb for some reason tasted boiled, although there were occasional glimmers of grilled flavor. The ravioli itself was extremely rich, but the mushroom filling seemed to be spiced with turkey stuffing spice, the kind you get in Safeway. I can do better and I am no cook. The service also was so so. She always smiled when she talked to us, but left out water glasses unfilled. She did take back a salad with gorgonzola cheese which I could not eat because I am pregnant. I should have told her that before, but I did not because there was no mention of the cheese on the menu. I was startled when around 9 pm they started to yank off the tablecloths and folding the tables and we asked the waitress when they were closing. She said there is no set time and they close when everyone leaves! "Dont worry we wont kick you out" is not something you say to a dining couple on valentines day. I know its the suburbs but its not a one-horse town where the shutters are down by 8pm... The music was also not very much to my taste, but they had to pick the one singer whose songs get on my nerves "Celine Dion". While I was driving away I saw the resaturant across, the Danube Bistro, packed and full and brimming, it appeared a good time was being had by everyone. Best of all they did not look like they were kicking anyone out like there was a fire. It was my first visit and will certainly be my last.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
