Service was good. Very friendly people. I asked what was popular on the menu and she told me waffles and omelets. She advised against the burgers as they "we're small". I had a Reuben which was fair. Place seemed clean and the service was quick. I won't go out of my way to eat there but I won't refuse it if asked to.

We just moved to the Gleneagle development and began our search for restaurants we would enjoy since we do eat out a lot! Driving around we discovered the BLUE BIRD CAFE. Our first meal there was Breakfast it was awesome with a great menu of something for everyone. Since then we have been there many times an have never been disappointed. We have also gone there for our evening meal. What great home cooking the soup is awesome, pie's superb, generous portions and the cost very reasonable. Everyone is friendly and it is very clean. A true, small town diner with fresh food and great friendly service. Love the menu and haven't had a bad meal here, ever. Gourmet food? No, it's a diner. A good diner. Love the burgers, the sandwiches, and the soups. For breakfast I love the eggs benedict and hash browns. And the bottomless cup of coffee.

Had breakfast here because we attended a car show yesterday. The place was packed and yet the service was friendly and efficient. Definitely a diner and has that hometown feel to it. Everything tastes homemade but since I noticed while I was waiting for the restroom that the shelves were stocked with Krustez waffle mix and other mix and pre-made items that maybe the food's not as homemade as I originally thought. Still, delish and I'll be back. (oh, and super affordable, too!)
