I can't say enough nice things about this place. 1) Very dog friendly. Our dog was loving life here. The staff loved him and were so kind to him. 2) The breakfast was amazing. Garlic eggs and sausage with an apple scone. 3) The service!! Checked in with Judy and she was one of the nicest ladies. So accommodating, baked fresh pecan cookies, and just all around pleasant. We met Jennifer in the morning for breakfast and she was equally fantastic. 4) The heated pool and cedar tub!! Open in October while it was cold. Pool heated to 85 or so and the hot tub was just right. 5) The rooms are super clean and spacious. 6) Location could not be beat. Right in the heart of Woodstock with a lot to do with in walking distance. Like I said, I can go on for a while describing how amazing this place really is. If you are going to Vermont for a weekend and looking for a B&B, you really need to experience the Blue Horse Inn. We can't wait to go back

A real quaint and comfortable stay. The inn keepers are warm and welcoming. The certainly go out of their way to make you feel right at home. The room was enormous and with a wood burning fire place, we got the fall fix we were looking for. A wine and cheese appetizer was a surprise and much needed. It allowed us to get to know the other guests well. Breakfast was great. Being a coffee snob I was very impressed by the French press they served. A word of caution; we stayed in room 7 which had a lot of road noise. It faces the front and even though Woodstock is a small town the street out front is a major thoroughfare. I would be careful of this and request a room off the front.

Truly an amazing New England experience. Every member of the staff is warm and welcoming and the breakfast is as good as you will find anywhere! Plus, the rooms are as nice as something you would find in a luxury hotel. If you are looking for the best B&B in New England, look no further than The Blue Horse Inn!

I stayed here with my husband-to-be and several members of our wedding party in September when our original hotel was flooded out. I had been disappointed at having to change, but after staying at the Blue Horse Inn, I could not have been more thrilled with our stay. They were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to take pictures and add non-hotel guests to have breakfast. Breakfast, by the way, was sooo good. The place isn't too big so you can smell everything wafting up the stairs in the morning. We asked for some cooking tips which were gladly shared - mascarpone cheese in scrambled eggs, the proper size for butter pieces in the scones. The innkeepers are very friendly and communicated a sense of coming home - nothing stuffy even though there are a lot of elegant touches. The backyard had been affected by the flooding so it was out of commission, but the building was beautiful, the rooms so cozy, and the inn was very well located for exploring Woodstock. We walked a few steps next door to apply for our marriage license then walked back for breakfast. We are hoping to come back for our anniversary.

The Blue Horse is a treasure--all of the beauty, charm, and stateliness you expect from a high-end Vermont B&B without any of the stuffiness. Keri and Anna (the innkeepers) are gracious and fun to hang out with. The breakfasts are delicious and the well-manicured grounds even have a pool and a tennis court (you can ask for lessons from a local pro). In the winter, it's close to great skiing at Killington and Suicide Six. If you're thinking of taking a few days off this is where to go.

Dear Yelp- Please offer more than 5 stars! We purchased a Groupon to stay at Blue Horse Inn and expected it to be a quaint, comfortable place to sleep in between days of skiing. Oh how we underestimated! This Inn was fantastic! Cocktail hour, beautiful room, kind hosts, great company and fabulous gourmet breakfast. Oh and great location- within walking distance of downtown for restaurants. I don't want to provide too many details because I would love for other guests to be as surprised as we were! It was truly relaxing and wonderful. Stay at this Inn. It was perfect and I can't wait to go back :)

Keri and Ben (owners) are two of the nicest hosts I've ever met. They were extremely accommodating and even let my family and I check in a few hours early when we had a last minute change in plans. Our rooms were even upgraded to deluxe rooms at no additional charge! The inn itself is charming and elegant, with an eclectic mix of victorian and contemporary stylings. Every room is unique but all are beautifully buttoned up and impeccably clean. My bed was huge and so comfortable. It happened to be very hot that weekend, and Ben was kind enough to put in an AC unit while I was out. You also get a complimentary glass of wine at their cocktail hour, and a stellar breakfast that impressed my whole family. The back porch is peaceful and overlooks the heated pool and large outdoor area. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Woodstock.

My wife's sister was so sweet to give us a gift of a nights stay at the Blue Horse Inn. I had no knowledge of the place beforehand but Woodstock, Vermont is a fun escape, that I'd only ever past through prior to go snowboarding. When We got here we were blown away by just how wonderful the Blue Horse Inn is. This is easily one of the best b&bs we've stayed in. The owners are really friendly and engaging; the cocktail hour with gratis wine and chocolate really classy; and the building itself is beautiful and elegant. Such a nice break from city life. Top it all off with the breakfast of the year. They serve an incredible breakfast of local delights including eggs, biscuit to die for, French toast, local jams, butter and of course maple syrup. Totally stuffed my savory senses (and belly). Thank you BHI - and my wonderful sister in law - for a wonderful weekend. We will be back again!
