Great coffee spot. Wish they were open for more hours. Went yesterday and the latte was awesome. Wife had a nice oatmeal cookie too. Tried saving my coffee for them today but I was there too early and too late. Hah. If in Woodstock, this is the place for coffee.

One of very few lunch places in town. Bentley's had suddenly closed its doors recently, leaving slim options for lunch. Mon Vert ended up being a happy find, with excellent sandwiches in a cozy, 10-table cafe atmosphere. Order at the counter, grab your drink from the case, and they will bring your food to your table. Emphasis on local, fresh flavors and ingredients. Absolutely melt in your mouth paninis: Black & White Tramezzino, with homemade olive tapenade and fresh Maplebrook mozarella; and a Devil On Horseback, with homemade date walnut spread, goat cheese, and applewood smoked bacon. The Parisian cold sandwich was also good and featured black forest ham, Bardwell Pawlet cheese, and a spicy maple dijon mustard on a baguette. There is no table service and no kids menu, or kid-friendly basics. However, we really had no choice, so we made do with an order of smoked chicken (that you would usually add to a salad, we simply ordered it standalone). Our 7-year-old took the mustardless Parisian baguette halves, and the cheese, and built a sandwich with the smoked chicken. Ate every bite! Portions were decent, though you pay a little more for the farm fresh element at $9+ for sandwich alone, no side/drink. Really cute presentation of the sammies on mini cutting boards alongside mini sweet gherkins. It is a very small place, and lines did get long but they seem to process people quickly. Mon Vert is a solid choice in downtown Woodstock VT, or even grabbing your sammie to go sit on a bench by the flowing waters thru town. Delicious fare.

We just had hot chocolate but $8 for two was ridiculous... Its not NYC its Vermont...and it wasn't even hot it was cold and I had to ask for it to be heated up....

Great coffee shop and breakfast/lunch eatery. It has a very casual, laid back atmosphere. Our sandwiches were delicious! I ate a salami and mozz on a baguette, and my husband enjoyed a spicy BLT. We both loved our meals - the baguette was amazing. We highly recommend eating here if you are visiting Woodstock.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch while we were visiting the area. Breakfast stops being served at 11:30, but the lunch fare was great. My wife is GLUTEN FREE and there were tons of options for her. Great little spot and not too pricey. Would definitely go back. The only negative was that the air conditioning inside did not seem to work very well and it was significantly cooler outside on the patio. Their iced tea is great.

Excellent sandwiches!! Amazing in fact! But u get what you pay for, the prices are as high as the sandwiches are good. However, if I lived in the area I would probably go back again and again! I had the maplebrook mozzarella, it was sooo good and it was vegetarian! I think the basil aoli made it for me. My husband had a meaty spicy sandwich which he agreed was great also. They have complimentary iced water available at the counter if you are not drinking coffee. The cakes also looked good, and the person on the table next to us had a salad and it looked like it could feed 4 people!

Short and sweet, this is a charming little cafe right on the main drag and a great option for breakfast. Lots of outdoor seating for people watching and enjoying a beautiful Saturday morning. Check a clipboard in the basket on the counter for the regular menu and the chalkboard for specials. I recommend the Breakfast Burrito with Avacado ($1.50 add-on), place your order at the counter, pay, and take your number marker out to one of the outside tables (tip: the screen opens in the middle). Before you know it you're chowing down on a crisp wrap filled with eggs, black beans, a dash of Tabasco (just enough for some kick, it doesn't overpower the other flavors) and avacado. Delicious, filling and surprising light. To paraphrase the sign on the door, 'Come in, they're Awesome! " Do it. They are.

Solid meal here. Lots of vegetarian options and some good bottled beer. The prices were high but it was a good sandwich. There was a quite a long wait for a sandwich and the place was mostly full so I would plan on a 20-30 minute stop (rather than a 10-15 min). I had a sandwich with pesto (it was a special) and it was tasty. I would come back if in the area.

A very pleasant spot on the main street of Woodstock, especially if you are sitting outside on a nice sunny day as we were. Service was a bit disorganized but the food was good.

I was starving when I went and it was that awkward time between breakfast and lunch. We were given the choice of ordering off either menu, score! The staff was friendly and I adore the clipboards the menu came on. My friend wasn't sure what to get and they were very friendly and helpful to her. I ordered the Paysan sandwich and was not disappointed. It was so good I wanted another despite my now painfully full stomach. The presentation of the food adds a nice visual aesthetic to the tasty food. Very cute place. I would certainly recommend it.

I randomly stopped here on my way across Route 4 and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly and the food was really good. I got a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The sandwich was excellent - really fresh ingredients, crisp bacon and some chipotle aioli to take it to the next level. My only issue was that the bagel it was served on was a little tough - otherwise this would be an easy 5 stars.

Stopped here on the way back to NH from Waterbury. All the wonderful sandwiches featured local VT cheeses. We had the Devil's Horseshoe (bacon with goat cheese spread, walnuts and dates), Smoked Salmon Club and curried tuna sandwiches. All were delicious! Prompt and friendly service.

Best breakfast sandwich of my LIFE. I was originally really bummed that Worthy Kitchen wasn't open for breakfast on weekdays since I wanted to try their pancakes, and was a bit hesitant to come here due to the streamlined menu (basically limited to a breakfast sandwich or parfait/fruit) but am SO GLAD I DID. First, I asked to use a croissant as the foundation of my sandwich for an up charge. 100% worth it. Buttery, flakey - delicious! Add on Vermont bacon, Cabot cheese and egg - I was in breakfast heaven. Let's talk about the cafe itself. Woodstock itself is so cute in and of itself - almost to the point of being a bit ridiculous - and this is a little local gem that is also so very cute and granola. The inside is like a loungey coffee shop with couches and small tables. As we placed our orders, the regulars came in and took what I suspect are their usual places to drink coffee over the day's paper. Strongly recommend for a casual breakfast, great coffee and a quiet place to start the day.

I really enjoyed this coffee shop/cafe so much indeed that we came back three times over our Christmas trip to Woodstock! The maple lattes were great, different than a normal choice I would pick up at coffee shop around home and oh so appropriate for Vermont. The croissant sandwiches were also very nice, a little on the expensive side, but you can pick all the different trimmings you like (just watch out because each adds more $$ to the total). But again, a great quaint spot that fits in perfectly in this adorable town.

Seriously unbelievably good sandwiches! I work in the deli and cafe capital of the U.S. In NYC and seriously aside from two places in Paris, these sandwiches hit the belly spot! I has this incredible arugula and salmon on whole grain with garlic aioli, my mother has a curried tuna with apples and walnuts and olive tapenade added- both were incredibly delicious !!! We also had a salad and the maple balsamic dressing was heavenly! The sandwiches came on a wooden slab as a tray with a pickle. So cute! The seating outside was also adorable (as well as ample indoor seating). They were training a new server and we are pretty picky eaters, with one person on a post-pregnancy diet, two Gluten free (one of those was also lactose intolerant) and a calorie-counting diabetic. Talk about complicated patrons. Oh, and we are also fish-eating vegetarians for the most part. We felt things were fresh and sandwiches were perfect as is but needed to make a few adjustments for the dietary needs. The order therefore took a bit too long and a little longer to come out. One tall server was not that friendly and didn't apologize for the delay, sorta huffed her way back and didn't look like it was a good day for her and I'm sure it wasn't so I'll ignore it - plus, the food and the guy behind the counter definitely made up for it! Highly suggest it!!!

Simply the top place in Woodstock -- the prettiest town in New England -- for breakfast and lunch. Mon Vert represents the best of the food scene in Vermont. Coffee, baked goods, delicious, well presented salads and sandwiches. Menu is available online. Woodstock is a terrific town and this restaurant is cozy and comfortable; many ingredients are organic and locally sourced. It's always popular so expect to wait a bit for a table!

Hands down the best scones I have EVER had. Service with a smile. Gets very crowded on weekend mornings. Some items are overpriced, like the breakfast sandwich ($8-$9), but that didn't stop us from going back every morning of our trip. Recommended.

GLUTEN FREE Review. Loved this place!Great cafe ambiance with outdoor seating on a beautiful little terrace and equally comfortable indoor seating with couches and tables. I had the spicey chipotle BLT served on Udi's toast which was outstanding and my wife had the Cobb salad; all Gluten Free. One note on cross contamination: we got lucky that the toaster has just been cleaned and we're able to get toasted bread. They don't have a separate toaster for Gluten Free bread. We will definitely be back!

Found on Yelp while I was staying in Woodstock, VT. The coffee was excellent. 4 to 5 stars for the coffee. The menu selection is a little limited. I had a sausage and egg sandwich. The sausage and egg sandwich was a C+ at best... Thus, neutralizing the overall rating to 3-stars. I would go back for the coffee though.

OMG... why did I not find this place sooner?! Came here near the end of their breakfast hours on a weekday and the calming ambiance hit me as soon as I stepped in. Ordered a breakfast egg sandwich with Cabot cheddar, tomatoes, and the chipotle aioli - it was delicious! The multigrain bread it was made on was fantastic as well. Service was friendly and it looks like a nice place to catch up with a friend or get some work done. Looking forward to trying out their lunch offerings soon!

We have eaten here a half-dozen times now, at least. Counter service, and everything is delicious. Breakfast sandwiches served on a baguette are enormous. My go-to is the yogurt parfait with house-made granola and fresh fruit. Portion is very large and it is scrumptious. I also recommend a maple latte, or the cinnamon chip scone. Beware, extra side portions of peanut butter (while delicious) cost like $2 extra...

Butternut squash soup with coconut milk was a fantastic surprise. It was served hot & very flavorful w/ a hint of coconut. Better than the butternut squash soup at Jean-Georges in Manhattan. I went back to order 2 more bowls for my guests, and they ran out! It was about 1.5 hours before the closing time (3:30p). They also serve good sandwiches. I had one w/ red beet hummus, goat cheese, & arugula served on a toasted (what appears to be) 9-grain bread. Light & tasty. Went very well w/ the soup. I'd love to return to this place next time.

The cafe is busy, or was very busy when we stopped by for lunch on Monday, but the food is simply prepared , and done well! The servers, despite having a very busy lunch hour, did their best and were not at all grumpy, nor did they have attitudes, like I've seen most people throw around when they feel hassled! So kudos! We had two lentil soups and the tri mezzo sandwich ( which was a panini with olive tapenade and mozzarella). As I said, very simply prepared but very tasty nevertheless! It hit the spot perfectly! Definitely will be back when we are in the vicinity!

I recently had lunch at Mon Vert Cafe having asked 2 locals where to eat and both suggested Mon Vert.......this place is just great, fresh local/organic food. Very quaint joint! Clean & bright! We ordered sandwiches and it was very good! Parisian sandwich with Black Forest ham, pawlet cheese with maple mustard: nothing special. Bread was a bit too dense for my tastings. Smoky grilled cheese Panini with tomatoes, smoked cheese, & chipotle aioli: very crispy, not too oily, and just the right kind of cheese to tomato to spiciness ratio! Butternut squash with coconut milk soup: slightly watery but the flavor a weren't too sweet and had a nice well balance when eaten with the sandwiches.

We were in Woodstock, VT for the famous Wassail Weekend festivities. We were hungry for lunch and Bentley's (looked like the happening place in town to be) was so packed that we looked for another restaurant to eat lunch. Aren't we lucky that we tried Mon Vert!! My husband loved his ham and cheese sandwich (especially the honey mustard they put on it) and I loved my lentil/coconut milk soup. Lovely clean flavors. Bonus for serving beer and being a clean, modern cafe to eat at. Definitely give them a try!

No joke....this was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I ordered the Eggs Benedict breakfast sandwich which was amazing. My friends had the egg sandwich with sharp Cabot cheddar and the one with pesto. We were all impressed....some seriously good food. Well done. Update: I'm dying for these sandwiches. Got all my friends pumped on them after the spartan race. Guess what....? They sell out. So get there early!

What a great neighborhood cafe. Too bad it's not open very long each day. I suppose it would otherwise compete with the only coffee shop of the town. Their sandwiches are delicious, and they use an interesting mix of herbs and spices to liven up their flavor. I loved my maple glazed panchetta sandwich on multigrain bread. The bread was great. Their glazed biscuit was AMAZING! The baristas are so friendly and knew the locals by name. I WISH I TRIED THEIR MAPLE LATTE!!!!

Casual comfortable cafe with great sandwiches. Worth a stop anytime through Woodstock for a cup or a bite.

Delicious, locally produced sandwiches. I had the beet hummus panini with baby arugula and goat cheese on toasted wheat bread. Highly recommended!

I recently had lunch at Mon Vert Cafe having asked 2 locals where to eat and both suggested Mon Vert.......this place is just great, fresh local/organic food. The potions where generous and the food here is homey and flavorful and anything but disappointing. Summary great food, great service great experience, will be back

Great coffee spot. Wish they were open for more hours. Went yesterday and the latte was awesome. Wife had a nice oatmeal cookie too. Tried saving my coffee for them today but I was there too early and too late. Hah. If in Woodstock, this is the place for coffee.

Excellent fresh food with interesting combination of flavors - highly recommended in an area that really doesn't have a lot of great choices
