For the type of deli it is, it's a great one!! Very taste food and a great personal feel to it...
Nice little deli. They have an excellent sandwich selection and you can customize as well. Guten free bread options, interesting cheese choices, great dressings, fresh vegetables. I also love the assortment of Nantucket Nectar drinks. Very friendly staff who remember your favorite orders after only a few visits. Definitely stop in.
My fiance and I stopped here for lunch after camping in Island Pond, on our way back home to Bellows Falls. The sandwiches we got were top-notch! I got Black Forest Ham with Smoked Gouda on a toasted labaccia roll. I feel like you don't see many delis that offer Smoked Gouda, and the quantity was generous, too. Lots of options for breads, meats, cheeses, and veggies. Nice seating on huge picnic tables in downtown St. J, with several other folks hanging out on Sunday at 11am of all times. It was pretty great, and if I lived around there, I'd get lunch from this place often!

Great for a romantic lunch or dinner. Seating out by the river. Have brought the kids as well and they enjoyed it as well. Great martinis! My favorite is the Greatful Dread.
Great brunch, great value. We haven't always been that wild about Bailiwick's but maybe we have found their sweet spot. Brunch this past Sunday on their deck combined a delightful atmosphere with a small but very well prepared brunch menu, at fantastic prices. My husband felt his créme bruleé french toast was about the best he's ever had. My 3-egg omelet filled with roast veggies was also great as were the crunchy hash browns. For $39 including tip, mimosa, coffee, etc., that is really great. Yes you should be ready for families - there were babies squealing occasionally and so on. Not a problem for us, everyone was having a good time. For brunch in St. J this is the place to go.
Stopped here for dinner looking for a burger & we found them! The restaurant is a mix of fancy and casual. We sat on the bar side to watch football, but there is a dining room side as well. It offers many options from filet mignon to burgers (which is what we wanted). The beer selection is great, catering to the local breweries, and our food was delicious! Definitely a crowd pleaser in terms of food options.

Such a great spot! Consistently good food and service with a positive energy. When the weather is nice, the deck is perfect!! If the grown-up grilled cheese is available, you will not be disappointed. It's beyond delicious...it's phenomenal.
We stopped in last summer (didn't realize I never wrote a review) on the way to Quebec. We were a family of five so we had a large sampling of the menu. My kids LOVE French Onion Soup and this one did not disappoint. The sandwich and the salad, all enjoyable. The Lobster roll.... I've never had a lobster roll that I really liked (we live in Texas). The lobster roll wasn't cheap, I think it was $16 but WOW! it was soo good. We also enjoyed local Switchback draft beer and appreciated the friendly service we received. We enjoyed it and we will likely return.
We stopped in for lunch. Extremely good service and food. The french beef sandwich is really good. Perfect crunch on the outside of the local sour dough bread. Creamy melted VT cheddar with great tasting roast beef. Overall great experience.

Five people went in the evening of Valentine's day. Service is slow Price okay, about 20 per entree The restaurant smells like smoked seafood Food is very good. Atmosphere, music very good
This is as good as is gets! The menu is simple, yet full of delicious choices made up of fresh, local ingredients. The recipes come straight from the owners imaginations and the combinations they put together are a real treat for your appetite. The Beef and Turkey are roasted in-house and all Bakery and Desserts are made in the kitchen as well. Although the menu has lots of items you can order everyday, the specials change daily with anything from Eggs Benedict to a Smoked Salmon Platter or Flatbread Pizza with VT Goat Cheese and Caramelized Red Onions. There are Vegan choices too... Breakfast goers usually stop in for the coffee (Speeder and Earls) and hot, fresh Sticky Bun, while lunch goers usually order the Dylan's Turkey Sandwich or the Fresh Quiche of the day. Whatever you choose, i promise you'll love it!
Dylan's HAS MOVED. And boy, has it changed. Just about the only local product on the menu is well, Cabot cheese you can pick up at Price Chopper - we queried our waitress on the locality of the food - I noticed the menu change along with the location change. Every item would have the farm/food item which was local under it. Not so now. Also - online site promised pastries and bread baked daily - not so this time. Bare bones as far as that was concerned. The waitress was ambivalent and careless - she forgot various items and honestly made me wonder if she even cared. Being employed as waitstaff myself this was obviously frustrating. The bread was grocery store brand, the food - eh. Waitstaff? Not so much. Dylan's - I miss the incredible food and service you had before moving off Railroad Street.

Not bad, but nothing too memorable, but definitely better than the major chain pizzas and worth visiting if you happen to be in the area. We had decent service on a Wed night. They have a small seating area for inside dining, but it looks like they do a lot of takeway business too. The salad with goat cheese and cranberries was pretty good, and the bacon pizza was pretty good with a medium crust that had some garlicky flavor to it. They also have samples of 4 craft beers for $5 which is a great deal.
Great pizza, appetizers and draft beer. Service is decent.
My husband and I were driving home from a long weekend and were on the road all day. We were looking to avoid fast food for dinner and found this place shortly off the highway. I think we found it in the GPS, maybe. Anyway, the pizza was great. Most pizza places have pizza by the slice and offer plain or pepperoni. This place had tons of varieties of pizza by the slice - hawaiian, meat, veggie, and probably 5 or 6 more.
