Despite the name, it's not just a "pizza joint", it is a full-serivce Italian restaurant with a full menu ranging from Soups and salads to pastas, steaks and seafood. They serve beer and wine. It is housed in a quaint, century old, brick Victorian home with some character and charm. The food was good. The portions were large and the prices were fair. The atmosphere was lackluster and homey, but clean and comfortable. The service was good. I would definitely go to Angeleno's again for pizza or a quick, inexpensive, no frills eat...although for fine, sit down Italian - I would go next door to Sarducci's.

I've lived down the street for six years, and only gone here twice - and I love pizza. Tonight's experience reminded me why. It's a great place to go if you want to pay almost twice the cost for equally low quality pizza (as Simply Subs, and I say this as someone who actually likes low quality pizza from time to time). It's also a great place to have one of the owners/management to open a full on escalated argument in which you need to ask them repeatedly to give you your change so can leave. They charged me full specialty price for a pizza that only had toppings on half, and when I inquired as to why this was, I was told I was actually getting the better deal - and that they could have charged me more. When I questioned their logic, she started raising her voice at me and made it difficult for me to leave. The parking lot is often empty here, and between the poor quality pizza and the lack of understanding of basic customer service, I think I know why. Ordered the house pizza. Virtually no veggies and no pepperoni. The sauce and crust were good. Would have been better off buying a cheese pizza instead of paying almost $30 for a specialty pizza.

Needed to get dinner so after walking to the booming pasta place next door and finding a 30 min wait for a table due to the packed place we found this place next to it. Walked over and seeing only 2 tables taken we waited for our waitress to clear a table for us. Sat down and waited 20 minutes before we decided that this was not the place for us. No drink order in 20 min in a empty place is just sad. Get your act together.

Came in about twenty minutes before closing (and it was empty, save for the employees). After a long day, it was a great meal, serving large enough slices of pizza to satisfy a hungry teenager. Also, the noodle dishes were well presented and well made. While not an over-the-top kind of place, it is a very viable option when in or around Montpelier.

Been sitting here for over an hour. Pizza was good, but it took them 50 minutes to bring out our order. My wife asked for a glass of water 20 minutes ago and there's no sign of it. The food is okay, but the service is abysmal.

This place is great ..I have never had an issue with my drink or food order taking to long.....most of the time I get the pizza...and for what you get for the price it's pretty good....from looking at the comments most people from out of state are complaining so remember when in VT your on green mountain time so kick back and slow down and put that iPhone away and enjoy your time

Had higher hopes for this place. After being seated it took at least 15 minutes for a server to greet us and the restaurant was not busy. Ordered our food, had to wait 30 minutes for a garlic bread appetizer and another 45 minutes for our food - pizza and pasta. Food was mediocre at best and service was just not good. Would not recommend.

Ate many meals of "pasta" while in VT, as it seems there wasn't much choice. We stopped by the chamber of commerce to get some maps in the late afternoon and decided we'd like to get a bite to eat instead of driving some more to arrive to our host's in the dark. Overhear one of the volunteers suggest this place to a couple. so we figured well how can you screw up on pizza or pasta. Plus, we had no internet access so it wasn't like we could search on yelp. :) We we arrived it was about 5pm and there was only 1 table. I had ordered spaghetti. It was bland. I see 11 reviews that have been filtered out and read them. Seems to be local Vermonters and most were positive. Not sure if they're legit or how locals' palates are....

I have been going here for years. The pizza is outstanding. They use fresh ingredients and have many to pick from. The sauce is very good and pies are not greasy at all. They also have a good selection of other entrees and beer. Service is good and prices very reasonable. I always make it a point to visit this restaurant when I am in town. Highly recommended.

Figuring that you dont stay in business or 30 years if things are really bad, we ventured to Angeleno's even after reading the negative reviews here. We were glad we did! Had a good pizza and nice fresh salads with great dressings. The kids loved it too. They has special menus with games and crayons to play with. The service was very good, just attentive enough without being intrusive. The food came out quickly and just the right temperature. The pizza was plenty good, not amazing, but very tasty and good medium thickness crust with a chewy consistency that we all liked. We will definitely return to Angeleno's!

The outside of the building is very homey and inviting. On a cold snowy afternoon, it looked like the perfect place to warm up for lunch. Once inside, however, the inviting feeling dissipated. The inside is tired and worn down. But ambiance aside, I was there primarily for pizza. Sorry to say my plain cheese pizza was bland at best. That was all I ordered, so I can't comment on the rest of the menu, but if I were you, I'd avoid the pizza.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
