Best Pizza in Town! Ramunto's has great Sicilian pizza, I realize not everybody likes pizza this way but if you do, you won't be disappointed. We order 5 pizza's for a party of ours awhile back and I happened to be speaking to the manager trying to figure out how much food to get. We has very helpful and ended up giving us the 5th pizza on the house. For the few people that visit Middlebury and want Sicilian pizza, don't hesitate. And for those that already live in Middlebury who like pizza and have never been; you don't get out enough!

THE place for pizza in Middlebury--although it's take out only. The staff is really into what they do and they have some unique combos including beet, caramelized onion and goat cheese. Brilliant--but seasonal. I like the thin crust but they make Sicilian. Price is right too. Wish they had ice for the soda, though. I wish I lived closer.

I showed up at closing time, or perhaps a few minutes later, and they were really nice. They gave me a bunch of pizza that was left and even warmed it up since we were in a hotel. I really enjoyed the buffalo chicken and the Thai (spicy!) pizza. I still have a lot of slices left so I'll probably share them with the the hotel staff!

Reasonable to-go pizza. A bit gloppier than it should be, and the sauce is off-balance (too sweet, not punchy enough), but reasonable. Actually, it's bordering on "rather good" by Vermont standards, but nowhere near that by New York standards (it's a NY-style pie, so it's fair to compare -- I won't even bother comparing it to New Haven apizza, that would just make me sad). They get pretty busy, so call ahead if you can.

Everything I ordered was extremely good! I had the spinach, mushroom, and ricotta pizza. It was so good. The ricotta was really good and the slices are huge! I also got the cinnamon rolls. They were fantastic that I bought more before I left! They were warm and tasted so good! I would eat there more often if I was close by.

Really delish pizza, had the meat lovers and a ricotta base slice. Didn't care too much about the garlic bread, but the cinnamon sugar bread was a treat. Speedy, fresh pizza!

This is some of the most overhyped pizza I have ever experienced. We tried both the "sicilian" and thin crusts, and I have gotten better pizzas from a freezer. Over-priced and with a sauce reminiscent of tomato paste straight from the can, this pizza represents so much what can be wrong with pizza and the food scene in Middlebury. The olives were put on the pizza whole, the sausage was bland, and the pepperoni tasteless. On the plus side, the crust was only mediocre and not actively bad.

I have been going to Ramunto's since David Nienow opened the restaurant nearly 10 years ago. And if I wasn't from NYC and hadn't spent half my life eating some of the best slices of pizza in the world, I would have given Ramunto's five stars instead of four. Now I am not a big proponent of buffalo chicken or Hawaiian pineapple or hunks of broccoli and spinach on my pizza; I delight in the simple union of crust, sauce, and cheese when all three are prepared to perfection, and Ramuntos almost always hits the mark. One slice of the Sicilian pie is a delightful meal in itself, but my favorite selection at Ramunto's is the plain-cheese New York style, especially when you get a slice right out of the oven! Delicious! And take my advice: get two slices (and a free soda fountain drink) and the rest of your day will be just fine. A final note to first-time visitors: this is strictly a take-out place. There are no tables or bathrooms. But the pizza is so much better at Ramunto's than any other place in a 25-mile radius, that it's not uncommon to see three or four cars or trucks in the parking lot with people inside devouring their pizza. And smiling broadly in between bites.

We ordered for 50 people for delivery. We had pizza, wings, and salad. It was excellent. All the veggies in the salad were fresh, the pizza was cooked just right and all the wings were tasty! I would highly recommend this place!

Ramunto's is probably the best pizza in the area, and I'd love to give it more in the ballpark of 4 stars, but have received a pie or two in the mix that have not risen to that standard. My best experience has been with their Sicilians and specialty pizzas, but other thin crusts have often been soggy (which seems to be a thing around here). Also, once I tried a simple slice of cheese pizza and found the sauce lacking. It's great to have options that come with local beets and goat cheese, but at the same time, it's also important to get the basics right.

Best pizza in Middlebury, but that's not saying alot. This place used to better when the cashiers used to give me pizza for free. Now that I have to pay for it, the pizza has lost it's luster. The main problem for me is that the pizza's end up being really greasy and sometimes soggy. I think they need a hotter oven or something. The bottom crust is hardly ever crispy (you pick up a slice and it goes limp if not tearing apart all together from the poorly cooked underdough. I just can't justify eating this pizza after having many delicious slices of new york style pizza all over the U.S.A., just none in Vermont.

Best pizza outside of the Bronx. And that's saying a lot! The friendly service is what blew me over, we even got a slice on the house! Great deals and absolutely delicious pizza!

Service is great, though they don't rush the pizza. There is almost always a wide selection in the slice case, and the monthly specials range from good to heavenly (the smoked meat pizza and the harvest special with beets and chèvre fall into the latter category). I've found almost all of their concoctions to taste fresh and flavorful, and think the quality of their ingredients (sauces included) is head and shoulders over most take-out pizza places.

The pizza is very mediocre and incredibly overpriced -over $20 for a pepperoni pizza! The thin crust is okay, but is doesn't have anything on frozen pizza. The Sicilian is horrible! They didn't bother to chop up any of the toppings - whole olives, long strips of peppers and onions, etc. The crust was soggy.

RRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrAMUNTO's! Oh yes, Ramunto's definitely took the town of Middlebury by storm when it opened next to Bev Co. in 2005. Before that date, it was nearly impossible to imagine another pizza place giving the towering empire of Neil & Otto's a run for its money. But the legend of Ramunto's blew through Midd faster than the blizzard of '03 and soon enough townies and college kids alike were trekking down to Ramunto's in their galoshes and snowshoes just for a piece of that pie. Meaty and zesty, Ramunto's buffalo chicken pizza embodied all that N&O's pizza styx were not. While I have to salute Ramunto's for serving as the solitary bastion of capitalism in Middlebury, introducing the concept of business competition into the quaint Vermont town, it unfortunately fell victim to the Green Mountain State's laid-back approach to customer service. Often times a Sicilian pizza would take up to an hour and half to craft. Were they going out back to milk the dairy cow, process the cheese, pluck the tomatoes, harvest the wheat, defeather and behead the chickens, and then bake it all in the oven? No matter how you slice it, a pizza should not take over an hour to make, especially if it's not being delivered.

Rrrrrrrraaaaaamuntos!!! muah! How do I love thee? I really hated buffalo chicken pizza before trying Ramunto's. It's the best pizza place in town, beating out Green Peppers, The Grille, and Neil & Otto's (although thats not a tough feat.) It is so good that my friends and I began to bet pizzas our senior year knowing that our money would end up there anyways. Will the Ratpo twins win the beirut tourney? Bet ya a Ramunto's buffalo chicken pizza? Do you think hot Conor and Erica will hook up tonight? Bet ya a Ramunto's buffalo chicken pizza? If only it didn't take them so damn long to make the pizza.... Get more ovens!!!

Sir, you are a pizza scientist. You deserve a Nobel Prize. I will vote for you in the next presidential election. Allow me to explain: You stay awake nights calibrating your pizza oven so that your crust doesn't burn when the cheese gets browned. You have developed the formula to make barbecue sauce on pizza taste great. Your daughters are hot, even if you'd beat me with a rolling pin for talking to them. You once gave us a whole pizza for free because the pepperoni distribution wasn't adequate. You enlarge my heart, both literally and metaphorically.

Hands down best pizza. No question. The crust is always cooked perfectly, and everything is so flavorful. Anything you could think of on a pizza they have. It's my go to when I'm bringing home a whole pizza for the family or if I want to do somethig quick like a salad. The customer service is great and they genuinely love their jobs and helping you. Don't believe the haters, this IS the place to go for pizza.

When you are talking pizza in Middlebury - Ramunto's is the place to go. What I LOVE most about this place is the slice case. It is so, so, so perfect for our family. For those who just like cheese they can get just chesse and for those who want to be a little more adventurous can choose from the large selection they ALWAYS have! The "lunch" special - which they serve all day, everyday - comes with two slices and a drink for 6 bucks or less. It's fantastic! And the garlic knots. I love the garlic knots. They are delicious!

The garlic pizza is something I think I will remember forever. It used to be a Saturday night tradition but I don't live in the area anymore. Nowhere have I found a pizza to match the hot, delicious, garlic-fueled wonder that is Ramunto's garlic knot pie. Yum.
