Yea service was bad, food was good, portions really big. Decor was really odd against the menu. Get the pad Thai - super legit! Everything else was good but nothing spectacular.

We had a really nice dinner at Harry's. The pad thai is delicious. My husband and son enjoyed their meals as well - lobster and spaghetti and meatballs. Make reservations.

Large portions of reasonable tasting food. Service slow, bartender oddly passive aggressive about transferring our tab to our table. Asked for hot sauce, chef thought it would be funny to send out a bottle of 750,000 Scoville unit novelty garbage which would have been hilarious if only we had been dining at a gas station or rest stop food truck. The decor: if you've ever dreamed of laying back and watching the stars on a warm night in the Tuscan countryside but can't afford the airfare, just come sit here and stares ms giggle at the ceiling instead.

Over priced, poor service, cheesy decor and average food to top it all off. I feel like I spent money to fund the owners lame obsession with fiber optic starlight ceiling maps. 7:00 seating. 7:15 food order. 8:10 food delivery. We ordered a chicken wrap, pad Tai and kids fish & chips, no way 50 minutes is reasonable. The place was only at around 75% capacity as well. PS - i created a Yelp account tonight just to write this review. There is so much better in Ludlow. Skip this place.

15 year ago, Harry was the best place around. Creative items like Pad Thai or Duck were on the menu. Now they have moved to a new space. That's good. But the large parties that populate are a little struggle for the kitchen. The wait between apps and main course was a little long. Service can be spotty. The tables next to us had a great waitress. We had the new one who wasn't trained on how to open a wine bottle. The menu hasn't changed much at all. Pad Thai? Check. Chicken parm? Yep. And that lack of creativity makes the menu feel a bit dated. That said, the fish and chips was quite good. So were the clams. Loved the spring rolls too. The duck seemed more suited to Thansgiving. There isn't much of a nod to the trend of local in season stuff either. Is this a good restaurant still? Unequivocally yes. It's just not unique anymore.

Really good food and service. Our waiter Sean was excellent and he took great care of one of my kids with their severe allergies. Also the place is beautiful.

Meh. Food is overpriced and not that great.. I got Mac and cheese ( almost 10 dollars) that sounded great on the menu but was less than mediocre and very small portion. My boyfriend got the lasagna and wasn't impressed. Lobster stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer was better than both meals. They do serve dinner until 10 which was nice.

We took a chance even though the reviews weren't great for the new location and we're so glad we did! They've been in the new venue since May 2014 and seem to have worked out some of the growing pains. The a la carte menu is super reasonably priced and good portions, so I would be comfortable ordering off the more expensive dinner menu next time. I had spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious, exactly what I was looking for. My friend had Pad Thai and we both agreed it was better than most Thai restaurants we have access to at home. The Black Bean Ravioli nachos are an inspired idea and yummy comfort food. We ate at the bar and they were full up. Some minor mistakes were made in the service but the food was so good and they were so nice that we didn't care. So so good, really, worth giving them a shot, you might be surprised.

Made a reservation for 8 pm. Couldn't find the new location as there's no address listed on the website and we're from out of town. Called to confirm where they're located. The call went as follows: "Hi, we have a reservation for two at 8 but can't find you guys, what's your address so we can plug it into our GPS?" "Put in 31 Maple Street in Ludlow, we're right around there" "Okay, so that's not YOUR address? Is there a sign or something?" "You'll just know you're here" "... so there IS a sign? Is it across the street from something, or-" "YOU'LL KNOW YOURE HERE WHEN YOU GET HERE *click*" Needless to say, we ate somewhere else. Best of luck to the business and all who attempt to go there from out of state.

We sat at the bar on a busy Friday night. After placing our order, we waited...and waited...and waited...and waited. After 45 minutes or so, we inquired with the bartender. He went to check and returned to say the appetizers were coming soon. We were brought bread. After another 15 minutes our appetizers came. Seafood chowder and green curry mussels. Both were very good. Once we were done with the apps, we waited...and waited...and waited. After another 45 minutes or so, we cancelled our dinner orders as we needed to relieve the sitter for our kids. The bartender was gracious enough to comp us for the apps and drinks we had but we were quite disappointed in not being able to enjoy our salads and entree's, not to mention leaving hungry. The appatizers we had were good but they need to get their act together with their timing when their busy. Hopefully they will take care of this as I am sure it will negatively impact their business as word gets around. Otherwise it's a good restaraunt though I would be reluctant to go there again because of this.

We have been going to Harry's for years now. The new place is much larger then quaint café style setting of the original. The atmosphere in the new building is over the top Italian with electric shooting stars in the ceiling, windows with canopies, street lights, and a village square fountain. Phew ... it was exhausting to look at. Note that this is left overs from the previous restaurant. But the food was delicious, creative, and portions plentiful. There are not many good restaurants in this corner of VT so try it out. Hopefully they will tone down the décor as they progress along. Place was super crowded so make a reservation.

This was our first time eating at Harry's new location. As usual, we really enjoyed the food; however, as other reviewers have mentioned the service in the dining room was less than acceptable. After sitting for for about 5 minutes our drinks orders were taken - this was much too long to wait. Once our drinks arrived our orders were immediately taken. Minor issue with the food order (mixed up salad) - which is not a problem - it happens. The biggest problem was that we didn't see our waitress again until we had to go find her to get the check - water glasses were never re-filled and the criminal act of never having the opportunity to order additional wine or drinks was unforgivable. Dessert? Did they have any? Between drinks and dessert, our party of 7 would have spent at least another $100 - $125. I guess that was a good thing? The new location has a large bar area which is very comfortable and inviting - I should have just walked into the other room to the bar and ordered for the table. I really enjoy the food, but come on Harry's let's get the service working. There were more than a few bussers working tables, but not enough waiters/waitresses. 4 Stars for food 2 Stars for service

OK, yeah I can see the other reviews being quite legitimate. But the food was very good and very well done. I would rather deal with bad service and good food then the other way around. One can always tip appropriately, but one can not reduce the cost of the bill based upon poorly cooked and prepared meals. Hopefully they can get the service faux pas corrected and should they not, well then sit at the bar and you are guaranteed to have someone's attention frequently and be assured of a culinary success.

We had dinner yesterday at Harry's, and will probably return again. First, let me address the service. I have to say that it could not have been better. The hostess was pleasant and accommodating, and they had a lot of staff working the room. There was absolutely no issue as others have stated in their reviews. I had the tuna special which was very tasty, especially the dipping sauce. The rice was not to my liking and I would make a substitution. I guess that I am used to having a rice pilaf, with some flavor and not just grains of rice. I upgraded my salad to the Greek option for an extra 2.50 and I enjoyed it very much. My wife enjoyed the Pad Thai (shrimp) but said, a little more sauce would have made it better. I would probably ask to sit in the back of the bar area the next time as the main dining room was full and noisy. Also the back of the bar area looks cozy. My seat in the dining room faced the kitchen door, which detracted from the dining experience. Service 5 stars Food 3.5 stars Dining room 3 stars Will I return, probably yes, but, I will ask to sit in a different area of the restaurant.

Fun, family-friendly atmosphere without being too loud. It is experiencing some growing pains in its new large space so staff isn't perfectly organized but they are friendly and seem to be working hard. Pad Thai is great. Mussels are even better. Corn bread is delicious too. Burrito also very good but needed to be heated more. Generally generous portions. Love the decor too.

Spent New Year's Eve there, service was fantastic, food was even better. One of the best meals I've eaten in 2014.

Do not come here! The service was absolutely horrendous! For an 8:30 reservation we waited 40 minutes to get seated and then another 20 to get attention from a waiter. They did not offer us anything while we were waiting and tried to ignore us at any turn. I wasn't even sure who our waiter was because 4 different people came to our table finishing the last ones job and asking the same questions. This place has gone downhill stay far far away.

Walked in around 9 after a bad thunder storm in which a lot of places in the area had lost power - this place had gotten their power back first. We're immediately seated and told how pleasant we were, we were just happy to be out of the bad weather. We got seated in a large mostly empty dining room next to a loud and obnoxious party of ten - strike 1. Waitress came over and took our drink order and we asked about a special dietary menu and she said she would be right back. 10 minutes later that menu showed up. We eventually asked to be re-seated due to loud table next to us. Our drinks never showed up and we could hear the wait staff arguing over who would take us quite blatantly. Another waitress eventually came by with no prior knowledge of our drink order and when she consulted our former waitress, we could hear more arguing. We decided 25 minutes of sitting and waiting was enough and left. For a place with such low reviews, and a great opportunity to improve due to a power outage, their rudeness and poor service were most notable. I hear the food is great but I can't comment on it.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had made reservations over 4 days in advance, only to show up and have the reservation canceled!! (Ps this includes receiving a confirmation phone call) Do not feel safe, even with reservations. Go dining at a place where they value customers, not throw them to the way side.

We tried Harry's even though the reviews were inconsistent. A lot of the poor reviews mostly addressed the service. I wish Yelp would let you rate the food and service separately. On our visit, both the food and service were VERY good. My husband had the lobster stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and for his entree, he had the tuna with rice, which came with a side salad. For dessert, he had the deep dish blueberry pie. He thought everything was quite delicious. I was not as hungry and chose to get a cup of the smoked seafood chowder and a tomato/mozzarella salad with a basil vinaigrette and garlic croutons. Everything really tasted very fresh with enjoyable flavors. I also had the Sangria, which was delicious. Our waitress, Donna, was very pleasant, attentive, and helpful with suggestions. For me, the only thing that didn't really quite match up was the decor! It was obviously an Italian restaurant at one time and has an elaborate interior design. It's just that the furnishings don't quite match up with the menu or a Vermont town! But don't let that stop you! You will enjoy the food while looking at all the details of the interior!

Excellent meal! The service was great--we were seated immediately and Donna took great care of us. The shrimp and corn bisque was yummy and the Jonah crab stuffed Scallops were wonderful! Top notch meal and experience!

Horrible way to run a restaurant. Went in to eat at 6pm and the place was empty but they said they wouldn't be able to sit us until 8:30pm (they had "guests coming at 7pm"). We said we would eat quick but no go. We were shocked and will never ever try this place again. Unbelievable! We thought the whole reason for the bigger place was to avoid crap like this. Too bad!
