Small coffee shop on church street. Love Love Love their coffee....try the butterscotch flavor mixed with their rocket fuel.....I know I hear you screaming about flavored coffees......try it ...it is good. Small place (careful you take the door on the right to the coffee shop and not the door to the left up to legal offices or whatever). We tried them for the first time today and got an iced coffee and an Italian soda for less than $5 together. Hooray for non-exorbitant prices! Flavorful coffee, friendly staff, lots of interesting looking special menu drinks on a hard-to-read mirror board in chalk pen. I'll come back for sure.

Wow, the man was so rude behind the counter. When my wfie tried to pay with a$50 bill for three drinks he said" You're wasting my time, I don't get paid for that." My wife threw out her drink, besides it tasteless and was lously. Yesterday I even gave this guy a tip. Go somewhere else.

Best coffee in town. I work at a pub downtown and our staff runs off speeder and earls. Staff is always awesome

Hole in the wall coffee shop in downtown Burlington. I like hole in the wall joints as long as the food/drinks are good. The coffee here didn't impress. I got a latte and the wife got a coffee. We were expecting more, especially from the reviews. If you want good coffee, go to Uncommon Grounds. Skip this place.

LOVE Speeder's. It was my mother's favorite coffee spot when I was young; it quickly became mine as I grew up. She used to get the Clockwork Orange, which I love, though pretty much everything they make is fantastic. If you're looking for great coffee in Burlington, this is the place. Check out their Pine Street location for more space to study/work.

Pretty place. Not a great espresso. Need to work on the finer points of pulling a shot.

Great coffee!! Lovely staff, groovy cups, cool vibes! I had the pumpkin spice one morning and then some Guatemalan stuff the next day, and for a person who doesn't fancy coffee much, this place was so delicious and satisfying!!

I would kill for this coffee. Especially the super-strong dark roast. Well, maybe not kill for it, but maim for it at least. This is not the best run place in the world, but the quality of the product makes it a mandatory 5*. They also have cute cups.

Kind of an odd place. I guess I like my coffee shops more on the cutesy side than the industrial. I got some kind of maple latte with way too much foam but once I finally reached the drinkable part it was excellent. My boyfriend liked their coffee but he likes all coffee so take that as you will. The service was nice. Note that this is a CASH ONLY establishment. I wish they took cards!

I'm a big fan of any kind of flavoured coffee drink, so decided to try their vanilla-flavoured coffee. It was just what my taste buds were looking for. With some cream and sugar, I was transported to a vanilla-flavoured caffeine heaven. Honestly, I can't remember ever tasting a better cup of drip coffee. Took my cup to go, but there were a few tables outside and some stools inside, along the wall, where one could chill and enjoy his/her coffee/tea.

    Best coffee on Church St

I had a cup of coffee at Speeder's over five years ago and never forgot it. I remembered it as that amazing coffee I had in Burlington once. On my recent visit to Burlington, I quickly made my way there when I figured out which coffee shop it actually was, and it was just as good as I remembered. Any coffee that I remember vividly for five years deserves five stars.

They don't burn beans, pretty critical factor in potability. Reasonably priced, not clogged with undergrads (sorry, undergrads), and they offer cookies to dogs who come in with their peoples. They make COFFEE, not chicken salad and paninis and all that shit. And it's GREAT.

Wasn't the greatest. I got an espresso here, but it really just tasted like a house coffee. The did have a nice looking espresso machine, but I think the barista probably didn't work it right. I'm all for independent coffee houses, but really feel they should better train their baristas. I really don't like the faux-espresso, it doesn't do it for me.

Best coffee on Church Street and the cashier is usually very nice. Perfect for a quick in and out coffee experience.

One of the greatest coffee tast in the city. Thank you for your services.

I didn't have the coffee but I did have an iced tea which was supposed to taste like blackberry... but it didn't. The barista was VERY friendly and the place is quite small. Make sure you have cash on you though! They do not accept credit.

Everything I love and hate about VT in a single place: -cute friendly smiling baristas -who get way too excited about their zodiak signs and took it to the next level - elements, quality, and some other babble. I just smiled and feigned interest because she made a Red Eye for $2 that made my eyes pop out after a sip.

I love the maple latte. This is the best little coffee shop in Burlington. Bring cash, read the paper, warm up. It's all good.

Cute little space with excellent coffee - I had a great Peppermint Paddy to warm me up on a cold day, and it totally hit the spot. I'm a Speeder & Earl's convert.

Great coffee on lower Church Street. The place is small and is more of a grab your coffee and go kind of place. They do, however, have a table with a few stools. They sell Speeder travel mugs and also encourage bringing your own cups, but you can go in without one and be fine.

Cute place, good lattes, friendly laid-back service. Will go again.

Stopped in here on a rainy morning. Service was speedy and friendly. Great music playing, too! Coffee was on point. Bypass Starbucks for Speeder and Earl's next time.

If you're feeling like you've seen the inside of way too many Starbucks, this is a nice alternative -- tiny railroad-style shop where you'd probably get elbowed if you tried to sit in one of their few stools. House blend was seriously strong (not that I'm complaining, and it is advertised as such).

Very friendly coffee joint! See Cher for a very good Latte!! The coffee is smooth and mellow and Michael Jacksons Thriller is playing in the background!

Adorable coffee shop with great prices! Seriously there is a Starbucks across the way that is completely put to shame by this place. I went for an americano two days in a row while my friends tried their fun flavors like the Maple coffee from the self serve bar. They raved about it! My americano was prepared to perfection with fresh espresso and just the right amount of hot water. The perfect way to wake up after a few nights of camping on Lake Champlain!

Big fan of the independent coffee shops and selection of flavored syrups (um, sugar free almond? The best!) However, a place that serves mediocre beverages, cash/check only, and charges FOUR DOLLARS for a "large" iced coffe (really a medium by most standards) is absurd. I won't be back.

This place has great coffee drinks - the usual mochas and lattes are well prepared and they also have their own special drinks with flavors like orange and raspberry. It's a narrow shop with a few seats and a barstool seating area but I almost always grab a drink to go while I'm walking down Church St. Random Fact: I had my "last coffee of the millenium" here on New Year's Eve 1999.
